Sequestration Ponzi Scheme

February 21, 2013 by

Don’t panic about the so-called “sequestration.” It’s just another President Barack Obama scam. There are many more things to panic about that are more important than sequestration. The economy is in free fall. Gas prices are skyrocketing. Wal-Mart calls its sales to start 2013 “a total disaster.”

Now those are things to panic about.

But, hey, the President is on the job. Our fearless leader, Obama, is just back from a swing State (you know, the kind of place where you work on your golf swing). He was consulting on the economy with Tiger Woods and Butch Harmon, while Michelle Obama was playing in Aspen, Colo. You wouldn’t accept this storyline if it was a fictional movie script. Too unrealistic. This country under Obama is becoming one big scam. A Ponzi scheme. Obama is the guy running the Ponzi, playing the role of Bernie Madoff. But the mainstream media are certainly playing the role of his accomplice.

Exhibit A is the so-called “sequestration.” It was the Obama Administration that gave us sequestration. Even Bob Woodward, the famous investigative journalist, said: “The sequester was Obama’s idea.”

Now Obama gets back from his tough golf weekend with Tiger and claims sequestration is the end of the world. Funny, Obama never mentioned it was his idea. He never mentioned that the specific Obama lackey who created the idea was Jack Lew, who, Obama has just nominated to become Treasury Secretary.

That’s right: Sequestration is such a bad idea, causing such an economic crisis, that Obama is rewarding the guy who thought it up by putting him in charge of the entire U.S. economy. Where are the screaming headlines in the mainstream media pointing out that Obama is the world’s biggest hypocrite?

To make this “Saturday Night Live” skit even funnier, Obama — the man of the working people, the man of the middle class — picked a tax cheat, Tim Geithner, as his first-term Treasury Secretary. Then for his second term he picked Lew, who invests his money in a Cayman Islands fund housed in the building that Obama has called “the largest tax scam in the world.”

With guys like that in charge of the economy and our tax system, it sure sounds like a Ponzi scheme to me.

Obama also claimed that the sequestration cuts will cause job losses among police officers, firefighters and teachers. Why aren’t the media pointing out that police officers, firefighters and teachers are hired on the local and State level. Oops, Obama is caught in another fabrication. It’s all part of the big scam that is the Obama economy.

And, by the way, aren’t there other government employees besides police officers, firefighters and teachers? Shouldn’t the media point out that to bring up only those three classes of employees is complete deception, like a con man selling his con?

Did you know the average government janitor is paid $600,000 more over his lifetime than a janitor working in the private sector?

Why doesn’t Obama mention janitors when we talk about cutting government spending? It’s because the image of a government janitor or meat inspector would not bring tears to voters’ eyes. It wouldn’t sell his Ponzi scheme. The media say nothing.

Why don’t the media point out that Obama spent us into bankruptcy by adding almost $6 trillion to the national debt in only four years? If anyone loses his job, it’s not because of the minuscule $85 billion sequestration. That’s a spit in the ocean. It’s because of the $6 trillion of reckless spending over the past four years. Obama is the one to blame for people losing their jobs. Why don’t the media point that out? Their silence makes them accomplices in the Ponzi scheme.

Why aren’t they pointing out that the economy is in shambles, gas prices have risen 32 days in a row, Wal-Mart executives are calling sales to start the year “a total disaster”  – that’s a quote — while Obama, a Democrat who supposedly cares about poor people and working-class people, golfs with Tiger Woods in Florida, works on his golf swing with Butch Harmon and parties at billion-dollar resorts on Valentine’s weekend with the world’s most notorious womanizer, with the press denied access and with his wife on a separate vacation in Aspen? Do you think the media would be silent about all this if the Presidential couple partying in Florida and Aspen were Ronald and Nancy Reagan?

The reality is we have an economic crisis bordering on a total collapse because of specific Obama policies. He spends too much. He taxes too much. He wastes our money on green energy. It isn’t working. The chickens are coming home to roost. The first quarter is “a total disaster” because Obama raised income taxes on the rich and payroll taxes on the middle class. When you tax people, they have less money to spend.

At the same time, everyone is getting hit with rocketing gas prices while Obama wastes your money on solar energy scams, on wind energy scams, on electric cars that no one wants to buy and on fraudulent biofuel standards that are impossible to obtain. Obama declares millions of acres of oil-rich lands off-limits to drilling. His Environmental Protection Agency policies drive coal out of business. And we wonder why gas and energy prices are skyrocketing?

The economy is in meltdown because of Obama’s policies. In response, he spends his weekends consulting with Tiger Woods and Butch Harmon. Yet the media say nothing. It’s just another day in Obamageddon.

The sequestration isn’t the threat, folks. The greatest threat to the future of America is Obama.

b>The greatest threat to the future of America is Obama.

…and the socialist/communist/facist cabal behind him — putting us in debt and selling, and then giving our tech, our jobs, our resources, our land to these entities.

YOU the American people are being ripped off by international gangsters and the boobs they put in office in Washington DC, state governments and now even local

Agenda 21 — taking your land, telling you what to eat an not eat and killing industry and the abiility of all to support themselves, sterilizing your children — eugenics. The Aussis are waking up – may be to late for them — stop them now, they want to reduce population – that means killing you an your children.

Honourable Ann Bressington Exposes UN Agenda 21 Club of Rome Population

    Laus Deo
    Semper FI

    • RedMann

Oh come on, Agenda 21 is not a UN conspitacy to “take over America” it’s simply a non-binding agreement to encourage sustainable development, nothing more. No black helicopters, no blue helmeted invaders. Where do you people get this “Socialist” nonsense from? This is so far from any reality that it boogles the mind.

      • tony newbill

Redmann its getting harder and harder for Obama to keep his Ilk undercover , Here’s proof that environmentalists really are Nazis ,

      • tony newbill

Redmann the truth about Climate Change is that its becoming more and more a ideology that the left is just using to create a feel good sensation of Support for their Ideological goals that take away your right to unalienable access liberty under the US Constitution .

      • Right Brain Thinker

RedMann speaks truth about Agenda 21 being a NON conspiracy and says:
“Where do you people get this “Socialist” nonsense from? This is so far from any reality that it boggles the mind”.

RM forgets that “these people” are not concerned with reality, but with the feeding paranoia and doing the fear-mongering that their masters use to co-opt them. They have no minds to “boggle”, because their minds are full of right wing-nut horsepucky.

        They are, in effect, “mindless”.

      • Right Brain Thinker

tony newbill says: “Here’s proof that environmentalists really are Nazis” and gives us a clip to “prove” that. Aside from the fact that the authors used the term “Nazi” because they are right-wing-nut fear-mongers and know the mindless always like to see “nazi” in print, the article shows only some good government servants doing their jobs as they should be done.. When one looks at the laughable level of prosecution of the financial and fossil fuel criminals, one almost wishes for a little “crucifixion”.

I used to occasionally do that in the school business myself—jack some kid up so high for some offense that everyone within miles heard him scream—-it’s called “deterrence” and it worked great with high school kids. Oftentimes, the only thing I had to say was “Remember what happened to Johnny DumDum when he did that?”, and that was usually the end of it.

        Nice try, tony—-zero proof.

tony becomes even more opinionated and less concerned with facts when he states, “Redmann, the truth about Climate Change is that its becoming more and more a ideology that the left is just using to create a feel good sensation of Support for their Ideological goals that take away your right to unalienable access liberty under the US Constitution”.

That in itself is a remarkable piece of horsepucky, particularly the insane swing at the end over into:
“…..take away your right to unalienable access liberty under the US Constitution”.

tony gives us another clip that he apparently believes “proves” something, but tony suffers from a major logic fail there, because the ozone hole has NOTHING to do with climate change or global warming, and the article is reporting positive news about the ozone hole—-it’s shrinking! No “ideology” there AT ALL.

Not even a nice try, tony—–actually less than zero proof—-you’re in minus points now.l

        • tony newbill

Right Brain Thinker lets talk about that claim of extremist and who is really trying to walk on both side of the issues about growth and quality of life only to generate voter support while not really doing anything to promote the advancements needed today to broaden the reach of quality of life to the Ever Increasing population in the world .

Also lets talk about the difference today between Government that enables a Free markets innovation and what todays Government does to that same effort .

Would you agree that it took Government help to enable the Creation of the greatest advancements in world history like the Hoover Dam ?

    • tony newbill

Freedom Fighter add this pitting exercise to the pile of Obamas Administrative Bile to create the Bolsheviks effect of starve to death due to supply shortages strategies they had on the Ukrainians ???

      • Right Brain Thinker

tony must be the designated Whack-a-Mole today. Probably good because the others have taken a beating recently and need a break. Tony again makes a nearly incoherent statement about something entirely unrelated, and supports it with a wing-nut clip that rants about groups like the NRDC (of which I am a member) and the Pew Charitable Trusts being “terrorists and extremists”. Lord love a duck, tony!, if you knew anything, you’d know how crazy that is to say.. The clip is just paranoid ranting about privacy issues and freedom from government oversight, not sequestration or Russians starving Ukrainians 80 years ago.

Yes indeed, tony wins the “nuttiness of the day award for this one—-I’m sure no one will top it..

“Freedom Fighter add this pitting exercise to the pile of Obamas Administrative Bile to create the Bolsheviks effect of starve to death due to supply shortages strategies they had on the Ukrainians ???” On second glance, that’s actually breathtaking in its mindlessness and irrelevance!

Very strange times as everyday I wake up to the same nightmare. How did the “progressives” convince enough people this “sockpuppet” was somehow “fit” to lead this country? He’s contributed “nothing” so far in his life and in his political career in IL as a state senator and US senator. Zero, zip, nada! Who ARE the real “stringpullers”? It certainly can’t be that gang that call themselves the “progressive caucus”. They’re nothing more than the “keystone cops” in this act. The exact same “model” of governance is being employed to “rule” this country as how chicago, ny, detroit, LA are run. Were those areas just “incubators” to hatch this overall scheme? Well, the bottom line is all one has to do is view the chaos in these areas to see the “results”. Not a pretty picture. Not at all.

    • Johnny D

How true. Obama speaks to us as though we are school children seeking direction. And the greatest problem the U. S. has is too many voters are led into buying his line of bull……. My plea then is for my fellow citizens to educate themselves as we can expect no help from the media to expose Obama for what he truly is.

  • Pat

Well said. Now is the time for every American to open their eyes to the danger we are in

  • Dean Brandt

I remember when W was our president. The press did its job. The lack of an honest press is the down fall of any free people.

    • Dave67

LOL, leading up to the Iraq war, the press did its job? Really? Taking the Bush adminsitration to serious task about their failures leading up to 9-11?

Our “press” is made up of 5 multi-national conglomerates that are reducing their investigative departments in favor of the Fox/CNN Infotainment model. Our media is quite sad.

  • Chris Condon

Obama may be a complete disaster for America, but that is OK because he is a Democrat and a Friend of the Common Man. The Democratic Party cares about the Little People.

    • RedMann

Who claimed that 47% of the population are too lazy to support themselves and rely on government handouts. On one hand the right says Obama is giving “goodies” to the poor, then you say he’s trying to hurt the poor. Neither is true BTW, just more ODS (Obama Disorder Syndrome).

      • cawmun cents

You seen to have left out:

        Rabid Delusional Progressive Liberal Syndrome.

    • Mary

Oh yeah the Democratic Party believes int the little people well what about all the unborn children that are aborted daily

      • S.C.Murf

Mary don’t expect to get an answer from any of these liberal murders, they hold no value for human life. What they don’t realize is that these aborted babies are Kings Kids, children of the Father. Don’t worry girl as we will stand as witness against them at the white throne judgement. And that day is soon.

        up the hill

  • Burke

Right on point as usual Wayne….Obamanation is in full swing.
As us peasants struggle to survive, the elites splash champagne over there destruction of our country.
In my opinion, the government has declared war against its people. My sheriff and kin are ready. There are no rules when it comes to survival. As this administration steals, robs, cheats, and forces through treasonous measures against the will of it’s own people, I stockpile ammo and Bibles and food

    • RedMann

You are so wrong that you’re way past normal wrong. The champange swilling elites are supported by the right. The GOP supports the rich over the less well off at every turn.

      • Texas Ride

Red (is that Red Chinese) Talking about swilling the bubbly, how many multi-Million Dollar vacations have the obammies taken. How many Millions have they spent on parties. Its obscene the way they waste our money on themselves. How about the $900 Valentines Day dinner. All this while obammies tells everyone else they are going to have to “sacrafice.” How many $180,000/per hour, hours have they logged in their separate jets.

When poor trash hits the lottery… Its obvious we have “trash” in the White house. Both products of Affirmative Action and both promoted to the highest level of incompetancy.

        • Bob666

          To Texas,
Whats is the differance between Obama and his travel cost verses Bush, Clinton, Bush, Regan or Carter?

If you you want to take shots at Obama-that’s fine, but this is a very hollow argument.

      • Dave67

Obama is black, and ole Texas is offended that someone who is not of neutral color is not in the rightful place in the WH.

It doesn’t matter that Reagan, Bush1 and Bush 2 all have more vacation and travel expenses.

His name is Obama and he is black. That is offensive to the conservative wingnuts here.

        • Bob666

          Yo Dave,
I suspect that most of those who have a problem with President Obama see his race as the foundation for their argument. I did not vote for him, but his color had nothing to do with my decision. But I also willing to admit that I am in the minority of people who can be honest about that.

      • Dave67

If the critizism was limited to his policies, then there is no problem.

When you keep on about the birther nonsense that has been debunked multiple times
When you go on about vacation time and cost, use tems like the “Kenyan”

There is an underlying current of racism going on there whether accept it or not.

      • cawmun cents

        He isnt black…he is gray.
        Big difference…..
Why cant a liberal progressive tell the difference?
        Everyone who has sand can.
Why do I say he is gray?
Does it pertain to the color of his skin or his racial origins?
        Not in the slightest.
It pertains to there being no black and white to whatever he does…always a gray area where he can question any argument brought against him.
Its like there is no right or wrong, and nothing gets done, but a parade is given for him wherever he goes.
They gave him a Nobel Peace Prize, when he had done nothing to earn it.
Dispute that claim,in any way shape or form.I dare you.
        You cant dispute that claim.
That is one of the many reasons he is the Gray Man.
The Gray Man is not a leader,he is a puppet of those who handle his affairs.
I do not say that because he is black and came from a poor black family…..
But because he has been handpicked and groomed for this position he has been inserted into. But not for his leadership skills, but because he can read what is written by his handlers and do it semi-feffiiciently enough to seem intelligible to the hoi-polloi.
Clever(or so they suppose)people write his speeches, and direct his steps.
In this way they can perpetuate any myth,or stereo-type any criticism that comes down the pike.
The Gray Man treads the gray areas of your collective souls, and you cant get enough of him.
Praise your leader…because when you are confronted by the real McCoy,you will know what not to look for.

BRAVO CC another EXCELLENT response to the REAL issue!!! I am soooooo tired of the “race” card ALWAYS being pulled….. NOT about “race”… NOT ONE BIT ~ TY TY My Patriot Friend!!

  • Jim B

The CBO head on the news last night said the following… The Sequestration is a 2% cut out of every government budget bucket for which there are THOUSANDS! in the Pentagon alone there are THOUSANDS of budget buckets. He also said these are not cuts per-say, but a reduction in spending i.e. the government will spend much more in 2013 than they did in 2012. Sequestration is a mere drop in the bucket, literally! We could go on for hours complaining about this, fueling the fire, but the reality is, and we should know this, just smoke and mirrors. When will we stop being so gullible, it’s embarrassing to know how stupid and naïve we really are.

    • RedMann

In the real world thousands are going to lose their jobs and the steady recovery will stall.

      • Jim B

        Smoke and Mirror!

    • Flashy

it’s simple math…i know that’s a hinderance to most posting on this site…try reading and being informed of rality. but…what you are told on the FoxMcnews or read on the internet has to be true…uh huh

      from the OMB

“the sequestration would result in a 9.4 percent reduction in non-exempt defense discretionary funding and an 8.2 percent reduction in non-exempt nondefense discretionary funding. The sequestration would also impose cuts of 2.0 percent to Medicare, 7.6 percent to other non-exempt nondefense mandatory programs, and 10.0 percent to non-exempt defense mandatory programs.”

Only simple minded would believe 9.4%, 8.2%, 7.6% and 10.0% somehow equates to 2%.

      • Jim B

Smoke and Mirror! How does a less than 2 percent cross the board cut result in a 9, 10, 12 percent reduction of anything… it doesn’t…. smoke and mirrors!

      • S.C.Murf

Flashless ya you got it right obama is the man. The news this morning the 21st of Feb. 2013 is more people signing up for unemployment and no one creating jobs. Must be some sort of PRE-Sequestration not obama’s fault right? TIME to make that popping sound

        up the hill

  • Diana

People please wake up.We need to stop this..Is there someone that has the power to make it stop? Anyone? Help our country be for it’s to late..

    • Old Henry

Yes Diana, there is “someone” who has (had) the power to stop it – the VOTERS.

However, Romney ran on putting people back to work and 51% of the voters said screw that!

      • Dave67

Yeah, thats what Romney ran on… LOL. BTW what did Romney run on? I followed the campiagn closely and they only thing on got from Tricky Mitt is that he desparately wanted to reduce his own taxes and increase defense spending.

Did you conservatives have another war in mind you wanted to get started? Oh wait… Iran… nevermind.

      • Steph

Of course he got 51% of the vote. Why would any of those couch potatoes who are living of the workingmans tax dollars want anything else. Why work when King Obama is going to give us FREE money.

      • RedMann

Keep on believing that Henry. Romney did give two cents for anyone but his fellow rich cronies. He’s the one that dissed 47% of hard working (or retired) Americans. Create jobs, right.

      • nc

Old Henry, why did the all powerful God(?) not make Romney a “winner” in the elections? I am told here that he favors America over other religions so I keep waiting for HIM to jump in and take away that anti Christ Obama and save(?) the country. Something else troubles me… Obama says he is a Christian and NOT ONE PERSON HAS PROVED THAT GOD(?) HAS SAID DIFFERENTLY!!!! COULD IT POSSIBLY BE THAT HE TELLING THE TRUTH??? HEAVEN (?) FORBID!! THE CHRISTIAN RIGHT IS NEITHER!
The Anti Obama people will never be correct in their assessment of Obama until they come to grips with the state of the country when he took office and the difference in the economic figures today. The economic downslide began in this country (2007) before he was even the leading Democrat candidate much less President>

Wayne “Romney in a Landslide” Root exceeds his usual wild eyed fear based, anger laced fudging on the truth natterings. One may dare to say his article touches on irrationality and unreality.

Ya gotta love the extremists in the TP and the American Taliban. the latest black is white, white is purple crowd now claims the Sequester is the idea forced upon us by the President. Short memory Mr. Root…perhaps you should have that checked out.

Recall the Sequester came about because the extremists were insisting on the US defaulting on its debt obligations and join the ranks of the deadbeats. Bills initiated and undertaken by the previous administration and Congressional conservative majorities. Two unfunded wars, a prescription drug bill designed to pay off pharmaceutical companies, an education policy which nationalized schools and shoved the costs aside. A tax policy which gave away our surplus to the wealthy.

All incurred by a GOP Congress and bush II/Cheney. Then comes this president and lo and behold…they insist we shouldn’t pay and send the US debt rating into the bowels of deadbeat nation status.

“we have 98% of what we wanted’ was the GOP and TP campaign slogan on the trail that year. They went to a Supercommittee to decide on the budget cuts. Went nowhere as the extremists demanded nothing less than economic disaster policy. During the next year, not one rational proposal came from any of the extremists or the GOP. Not one. And they said ‘no” to any proposal by the President…even saying ‘no’ to the cery proposals they had initiated in the past. The GOP and the extremists took on the well deserved title the “Party of No’.

Where’s that get them? A mandate for the president in his re-election, losing the House vote by over a million, loss of two Senate seats where they had been predicted to pick up 5.

now comes the sequester which they pushed off from January 1 to now. , for the first time, they claim ‘it’s not my idea!”..and ‘it was forced upon us!”. Of course, leaving out real history and the why was it even suggested?

The cuts? Mr. Root glibly asks how it will affect police, fire, emergency first responders etc. He well know the answer..but he won’t say it…not here. For the facts and reality ruin a good rant. Check out how much federal funding is given back to the states to hire and pay for these folks. “poof’…that’s cut. Check out all that are on the government payroll supporting local economies and local tax bases. “poof’, that’s cut. Courtesy of the GOP extremists. Typically now claiming what they wrought isn’t their fault.

As for the economy? Wal Mart gets what it deserves for supporting those extremists. For the Middle Class is uncertain what the heck is going on in Congress. Sanity has checked out witht he xtremists and American taliban insisting on disaster.

The wacked out right insists that we need to slash the budget. That’s exactly what the sequester does. Well…that’s different they say. We just wanted to hack and slash everything aiding the lower income and middle class, the elderly and the poor, the rural and the wage earner. The sequester goes after stuff in our districts!

Hmmmm…yet they won’t put forth details on what they would cut. they won’t stand before the voters and say ‘we want to cut here, here and here..and keep the welfare for the wealthy programs and continue to allow them a free ride for the benefits”. Whereas the President and the Democrats have specifics..the GOP and the extremists have put forth nothing. Why is that? because even thought e sequestration is what they said they had wanted…the impact is something they never have told the voters..and denied the facts even when asked about those effects from the policies they demanded.

the economy is growing slowly. better than the rest of the Western Countries who dealt with their economic collapses using policies the extremists yelled for…and why is it slow growth? take a gander at what the extremists have forced by saying ‘no’ to every policy and forcing the administration from forceful action. Last month, in a continuing trend, federal employment DROPPED. As it has every month for the past three years. Mr. Root doesn’t want to tell you that. he ignores that. He instead ulls out some janitor to make you angry. To divert the anger from where it should be directed…at he and his ilk as they pad their bank accounts.

federal spending has not increased under this administration. federal employment has decreased. Name one administration in the past…one..which dealt with recessions by cutting federal employment and flat lining spending. name one. Reagan increased spending by 185% and federal employment grew by 25%. That is the darling of the Right. Excepting FDR dealing with the Depression, Reagan exceeds all.

oil going up? Drill baby drill! Give those il companies even more control over our lives. that’s the TP chant when it comes to energy.

Bah…the extremists say one thing, demand it, say ‘no’ to anything that will move this nation forward. the American Taliban continue to insist we become a strict theological nation. And then deny it later as the effects and impacts hit. It ain’t their fault we are stupid enough to listen to them! They were only making a quick and easy dollar getting the ignorant to send them money!

Mr. Root…it’s very apparent why you gave up being a bookie. There’s more money in taking it from the pockets of the wacked out crazies comprising the TP and American Taliban, using the TP trilogy of fear, anger and ignorance

    • Obaminable

“the economy is growing slowly.” Really? Was that before or after it CONTRACTED last quarter? This unhinged rant full of BS and devoid of any facts whatsoever, though funny, leaves me worried for your health. Take some medication pal.

      • Flashy

Yes, really. Stating it contracted last quarter is a nice display of ignorance of reality. the slight negative was expected..and was actually less than expected and mainly in the sectors involving WalMarts etc. the trade deficit shrank and manufacturing was stable.

Current figures are that it is exactly on the 1-2% growth forecasted. The negative growth was deemed by almost all private economists being due to the consumer uncertainty about Congress remaining deadlocked and what would occur if the economic plan of the president was rejected and instead the extremists were successful in killing any pro growth pro job policies.

But then…showing your ignorance is the TP version of proudly waving the flag…

      • Dave67

If you happen to look at the details of the “contraction” it was due to the reduction in defense spending. Without it, the economy grew at only 1.2%.

Can you honestly defend a 700B a year defense budget? Do you have a war that you and your fellow conservatives want to start to justify the spending? Or are you just another corporatist?

      • Bob666

        Yo Obaminable,
ever take a course in Basic economic-EC101?

      • Obaminable

Ahh..yes. Of course. The “new normal” from idiotic Obamabots as evidenced above. So an economy “contracting” is actually growing. Got it. 1-2% growth is fabulous! How can we not thank Obummer? Sure beats the 4-6% growth we had prior to the Dumbocrats taking over Congress in 2007, the White House in 2009 and owning DC lock, stock and barrel for two full years and still owning 2/3 of government today. But expecting the Dimwits to lead or govern like rational or reasonable adults would be like expecting money trees to start growing on the South lawn. But then the Dimwits do expect that.

Hey Bobo – I have taken Economics. What it taught me was that an economy contracting, debt increasing by 6 trillion, sustained 8% unemployment, raising taxes and more people on the government dime isn’t good for a private sector economy. You know – Obummer’s policies. What do you know about economics?

        “Liberalism is a Mental Disease.”

LIberal brains are wired differently and they can’t accept facts or the real world. They go on unrelated tangents, and have no ability to support their own ideology.

They are at “emotional war” with everyone that doesn’t hold their beliefs and will viciously attack any that dare express a different viewpoint. Liberals are mentally unstable, while thinking the rest of the world is wrong and they think “their weirdness is the norm.” Little do they know how few people want what they have to offer. Or, maybe they do and that is why they practice obfuscation 100% of the time. Cause, if people figure out what libs really want, the libs would have zero support, even from the “useless on their plantation.”

        • Bob666

          Yo Texas<
"LIberal brains are wired differently and they can’t accept facts or the real world. They go on unrelated tangents, and have no ability to support their own ideology"

Bobby (“sign of the devil”) 666.. libs think “their Weirdness is the Norm!”
        They are wrong, but serious!

        • Bob666

          Yo Texas,
“Bobby (“sign of the devil”) 666.. libs think “their Weirdness is the Norm!”
          They are wrong, but serious!”

That is like saying; anyone with a high school diploma is part of the educated élite.

      • Texas Ride

Yo, Devil Bobbie, these days anyone that can read, write, and speak English IS a part of the educated elite!

Many schools have opted not to teach “cursive writing” to students. If students can’t write, they can’t read the written language! That is what happens when you get government controlling schools.

        • Bob666

          Yo Texas,
What you said about “cursive writing” is correct. But here is my question to you; why continue to teach it?

When I went to school to get my first degree-civil engineering, I had to take multiple courses in drafting. The drawing board is obsolete because everything is done on computer in CAD today.

We live in the digital age and doccuments are produced electronically. What good is “cursive writing? should we teach people how to make buggy wips since the automobile has been with us for over a hundred years?

          Just asking the question?

      • Texas Ride

Devil Bob asks, “Why do we need to teach cursive writing, we use computers?”

Why do we need to teach math, we have computers to calculate everything?

Why should people learn anything, when we can depend on computers instead?

We will soon have technology that can replicate anything we need. Should we stop learning how to make things?

It is a crazy road to start down, when people no longer know anything and only depend on machines. Generations from now people won’t even be able to read historical documents.
They will have to read what has been programmed into the computers, whether it is true or not.

And, believe it or not, there are still a lot of whips manfactured and sold.

        • kimo3690

          EXCELLENT Response Texas Ride BRAVO!!!!!

        • Bob666

          Yo RIde,
“Why do we need to teach math, we have computers to calculate everything”?

“Why should people learn anything, when we can depend on computers instead”

If you want to quote me-thats fine, but I never made those statements, so don’t go saying that I did.

As a guy with degrees in engineering and finance, I would never make such as statment regarding math-and the USA in NOT #1 in math scores.

As for computers-they are a tool, nothing more and nothing less and anyone in any field who relies 100% on a computer is a fool. But for every job in this country making buggy wips, there asre at least 10,000 highly paid people working in the informational services industry.

So, should we go back to teaching cursive writing and making buggy wips or do you want to compete in the global economy and not become a third would country?

That attitude will kill us more than any bad decision made by Barock Obama.

    • RedMann

Right on, Flashy. This website like so many other RW sites is populated by paraniod and delusional people who proudly expose their rabid ODS. They think Faux Nuz is the fount of all truth and that Bob L. is a genius purveyor of wisdom.

  • Dave67

Where does Obama’s spending come from? Be specific… Oh thats right you can’t because the idea of Obama being a “big spending liberal” doesn’t exist. We have been in a recession all this time and starting in 2010 we started adding jobs again but we have not fixed the fundementals of this economy that took 40 years to break. I would ask Wayne what happens to spending and tax revenue during a recession but its clear he has no clue.

Taxes? Most people are paying less taxes today than they did in 2008.

Wayne is good for comedy and not much else.

The current “automatic” cuts were a product of both parties to get action and to kick the can down the road, instead, we get a president and a congress who are jockeying for the “they are to blame” race.

We need more revenue, we need to cut spending, especially in defense, the oil and farm subsidies, we need to honor our social commitments, build up our infrastructure and reform education. We also need to fix our BS trade deals.

It all starts with getting big money OUT of the political process.

    • Texas Ride

      Dave67 is a real comedian!

To imagine a lib talking about “getting big money out of politics” is extremely hilarious! All the while, this lib is talking about higher taxes and the need for increase spending on BS programs like “free (indoctrination centers) pre-school” for everyone. No doubt government wants to get its hands on everyone’s youngest kids.

We need government out of everything! Kill the monster before it completely engulfs the country with its voracios appetite.

States, keep your tax money, quit sending it to Washington. Take the power out of Washington to “tax and spend.” The government has proven that it is incompetent and can’t handle our money, responsibly! We need to take government out of the loop and purge it of corruption. States, take back your power that has usurped by this unconstitutional regime of criminals or you will cease to exist and so will this country.

      • Bob666

        Yo Texas,
“getting big money out of politics”

Take big money out of politics -and you give politics back to “We the People”. Both parties are infected with big money and “We the People” lose!

      • Dave67

        Texas ride,

Maybe you could favor me with a GOP/conservative president that said no to big money? How about anyone relevant in Congress? Please don’t talk about Ron Paul because for all his bluster, he was mightily ineffective in Congress.

Conservatives are funny people, they act like they never spend a dime or they never help keep the corporatist game going.

Hillarious…Now lets look at the taker vs giver states as it pertains to who pays into fed coffers and who takes money out. The biggest takers are all conservative states, NY, CA, NJ, IL all subsidize states like KY, SC, AL, MS, LA etc. Without the oil industry, TX would be right there too.

As I said, Conservatives are funny.

Obama has has much less executive orders, taken much less vacation time than Bush or Bush 1 but to hear them say it, Obama is a scary DICTATOR.

Oh and Texas, if you think tyranny is what we have in this country… then you know squat.

I lived in the DC area for 35 years and I know the game. Pity so few here do.

      • Texas Ride

Dave67, how can you be so naive if you lived in the “city of corruption.”

Purge Washington and take away their power to “tax and spend.” Our government has proven itself too incompetent and corrupt to run the finances of our country.

      • Texas Ride

Devil Bob, finally something we agree on….”take big money out of politics.”
Right now politicians are all about how much money they can steal or deal. Congress made lobbyists legal. It should never be legal for anyone to lobby government and spread money around to get special favors. But isn’t that the way government has always worked, lobbyists or not. That is why we need to keep government out of business and keep it as small as possible.

        • tony newbill

          Texas RIDE Excellent Point !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Where the heck are those Do Gooders that Hide there Money and Most are the same ones Screaming for Environmental Innovation like whats needed here, , but yet they Hide their Money in Off Shore accounts , Lobby for Tax Favoritism ??
where are they those Hypocrites who could Lobby for Congress and Governments around the world to reform taxes and that would allow them to re invest their funds into the Projects that would Improve these quality of Life essentials ???
This just Proves they LIE about the need for Higher taxes on all of us Common Folks that can barely get by now !! They are all just part of the scheme to take away our Livelihood so we become dependent on the Government Totally so they can control our rate of Consumption !!!!!

        • Bob666

          Yo Ride,

Something that we are in agreement on. But let me remind you that the GOP opens it’s arms to business far more than the Democrats-from a lobbyist point of view.

Both parties are corrupt and that is why I find humor when many on this board start beating their chest regarding the GOP.

  • ToughGuy1

I pray everyday that Orly Taitz continues her crusade to get Hitler Obama impeached for not being a registered American citizen, not registering with Selective Service, using a SS# from CT.,filing taxes in 2009 under the name of a Russian American born in 1890 and so on.If you don’t know about her you should read up on what she is attempting to do.
She also has proof that mandates brought before the Supreme Court were altered, omitted and falsified by the staffers.Oh and she supports the 2ND Amendment whole heartedly .She wants Hitler Obama brought up on treason charges, which is life in prison or death. That is my kind of woman. You can e mail her at I thanked her for what she is doing and any and all support from us will possibly help her accomplish what we’re unable to do.By the way she is an attorney and she knows what she’s doing.

People around the world are in disbelief concerning obammie’s actions.
Other countries are more aware of the consequences of his tyranny than Americans.
These people cannot believe that Americans are not in the streets protesting.

As for the “polls,” they have about as much legitimacy as our elections.

      • Dave67

Who speacifically Texas Ride? Who in the world that is of any consequence is aware of obama’s “mission to destroy” America?

Tyranny??? You and many others clearly have no clue what tyranny is.

As for the destruction of America, you right wing loons have been doing your part since Reagan.

        • tony newbill

Dave67 Obamas Administration is suppressing and Oppressively restricting Supply side growth with the Agencies that regulate and this is leading to supply shortages in the key areas of the markets and Inflation in these primary sectors that most people spend their money on . You heard Walmart Reported that the month of Jan was a disaster , that coming from the Low Income sector .
This financial Oppression in the Middle Class and Lower class leads to the Consumer driven free market seizure and collapse and tyranny follows from the civil unrest .

      • Texas Ride

Dave67, I know a lot of thiings. I know a lot of people in other countries, do you? And, your arrogance is that of a typical mentally deranged lib. Your lack of knowledge of the world is obvious, while you try to make up for it with your arrogant, delusional attitde.

        Yo Redmann,
If Orly Taitz is your hope, then I would suggest that you put your head between you leggs and kiss you a$$ good bye-the woman is a nut job looking for attention.

Are you sure that you want to use her as referance in anything?

      • Texas Ride

Redmann, we are all waiting for the “proof of citizenship!” Why should we just take obammie’s “word.” Lets see the “real birth certificate, the real passport, the real immigration papers, the real college entrance forms, the real selective service papers, the real application for scholarships,” and all the other documents that are being kept from the American people at a cost of Millions of Dollars in attorney fees! WHY is this, please explain.

We can’t even see the university transcripts for the smartest man in the world (something that one would think he would be proud to show-off.) The bogus story of where this fraud has come from is nothing but contradictions. Why should anyone believe what the Left has made-up. We should rather believe obammie’s own words when he was Senator obammie, born in Kenya. Bet he wasn’t even telling the truth about that. We have no clue who or what this person is or his parentage. He looks like an ugly arab to me.

What we know for sure is that this fraud never was, or never will be, qualified to be the president…not of this country. His is an unconstitutional presidency!

      • Dave67

No Texas, you and other loons like you are… No matter how many times the birther nonsense has been debunked, including the latest efforts by ole blood and guts, Sherriff Joe Arpio in AZ.

Its not good enough… Why? you hate the fact that a black man is in the WH who is a Democrat is in the WH.

Too bad, so sad, you and your expremists lost the election (twice)

        Get over it.

      • Texas Ride

Dave67 says “Too bad, so sad!” Wow, is that a blast from the past! You must be ancient, at least old enough to know a fraud when one is destroying your country. If you think this illegal was elected, even once, you are in lala-land, or have “oldsheimer.”

Comrade Dave, this regime has been at war with the citizens of this country since 20008. Everything that has made this country great is under attack. Redistribution of wealth, disarming citizens, poplation control, loss of individal rights, loss of property and water rights, tyranny by Exective Orders, the EPA, DHS, NDAA, obammiecare, these are only a small part of it all. Only the mentally challenged can’t see what is before his face.

What do libs think they are going to get out of all this, in the end. When the country crumbles, libs are no longer going to be useful.

      • Dave67

You really have no clue do you?

So when the wealthy lobby congress and pay fo a change in the law that puts more money in their pockets… Is that redistribution? Why is it not if you believe it isn’t?

Class warefare? Yes, its going on and the wealthy with their political influence and lobbying ability have been waging it since Reagan, and guess what? The middle class and poor have been losing going away. The wealthy make 56% of the money and control 90% of the wealth while since Reagan, prodictivity continued to increase but middle class and poor wealth has stagnated.

There is your class warefare right there.

When you deal with the world, amazing what you learn. If you are open to the education.

      • Texas Ride

Dave67 quit whinning, that is all you libs do and it gets tiresome.

Newsflash, obammie is doing the same things as those you condemn.

        • tony newbill

Obama being the leader of the free market system sure could be a little more Pro-business PROFITS with his Policies and allow some SUPPLY-SIDE growth in the market to allow some cheaper input costs in raw materials to widen the profit margins and then set in place a policy that would redirect those cash profits into the renewable resources that need development investment with a set of tax reforms that would allow investment of taxable incomes to be reinvested in those venues , But That Not the Goal of the Environmentalist Monarchy that RULES Obama !!!!! They DON’T WANT People to Prosper in the same way we always have , so Green Energy renewable resources that they claim needs the Government running these developments like they always try and elude too like Hover Dam , and all is a LIE they just want the Power over all Private sector goods and resources on a Global scale to then sit back and Ration for a ZERO Growth Policy thats saves earth from the Individual quest for quality of life .

      • tony newbill

This is the 21st century and we still have people crapping on the ground in the world , and a Market that NEEDS growth and is Begging the Government for tax reforms that will allow them to grow and create the hardware for fixing these Peoples way of LIFE … SO WHERES THE BUCK STOP HERE ??????????

      • Dave67

Once again… you fail to answer the question. Is the act of a wealthy person, using their power to lobby and political access to put forth laws that put more money in their pockets wealth redistribution or not?

One of these days you might come out from the conservative information bubble and actually have a thought of your own.

Dave67, there were no indigenous people in this part of the world. Everyone immigrated from somewhere else.. All countries have been won by battles. This is not unique to our history. Face it, the world is a tough place and not for crybaby libs.

As President Obama faces a tough showdown with congressional Republicans over the looming sequestration cuts, a new poll shows the commander-in-chief with his highest approval rating in over three years.

A Bloomberg National poll released Wednesday found that 55 percent of Americans approve of Obama’s performance, his highest rating in the poll since September 2009. The poll also found that 49 percent of respondents believe that the president’s proposals to increase government spending in key areas are more likely to spur job creation than GOP-backed efforts to cut both spending and taxes.

    • The Christian American

Yup! This only goes to prove there are more Americans living on the dole and don’t care than there are productive Americans. Economics 101: You can’t consume more than you produce, and continue to exist anyway. Obama’s got American eating the crumbs from his table while he plays Nero.

As in what happened at the end of Bush’s second term? Much of which was brought on by Bush’s actions in his first term?. CA will learn about that in Rationality 101 (if he manages to pass the remedial course first).

And tony says “Flashy scroll to the bottom and check out who is the extremists and causing chaos to our society and way of life PLEASE !!!!!!!!” Can’t wait—-I’m off and scrolling.

All this talk about Obama while he is only the one that made our terminal cancer official. True the ball is in his court now but it took misguided, republican and democratic, votes to get him there. Since Reagan, and I’m not holding him out as saint, our economy started to look like an avalanche developing. After 200 years of history our national debt in 1987 hit one trillion dollars. In 25 years since then it has climbed to nearly seventeen dollars. It will be there, trust me. Under Obama it has grown one trillion dollars every year.

In the legitimate sense, the paper was use as our medium of exchange has to have 100% backing with either silver or gold. I could’ve gone into a bank and exchanged my paper cerificte for either silver or gold. It was mine, no one elses. When we started printing counterfeit paper, certificates that were not 100% backed by silver or gold, the constitutional monetary system started to crumble. When there wasn’t even enough gold or silver to even partially cover the certificates out there, FDR stole all the people’s gold and silver and wouldn’t tell the people how much there was. Ignorance was suppose to be bliss. When the counterfeit cerificates became so numerous they had to do something, they started to use all the wealth the people had in place of silver or gold to back the dollar. The gold and silver cerificates became Federal Reserve Notes (FRN’s). Now congressmen have our power of attorney to borrow money from the federal reserve with our signature for repayment on it. These notes have be paid by, you guest it, US. Now we already own the collateral that’s there to cover the amount due to Federal Reserve. The federal reserve never put up anything when they print the FRN’s. Why can’t we simply put PAID IN FULL on the bottom of the national debt?.

If I go to you and borrow one thousnd dollars and give you one thousand dollars as collateral and then don’t pay it, do I have to pay you one thousand dollars? Of course not. That’s the game the government and federal reserve is playing with us. It’s so brazen and crooked we believe it. To make matters worse they’re putting up our homes etc. as collateral for the bonds they’re selling to foreigners. Why do you think the federal governments in the mortgage business? Obama and his legions are selling America right from under our noses. The sixteen trillion dollars the federal reserve loaned us? Did it have sixteen trillion dollars worth of collateral to lend us the money? Or is it nothing but paper? FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL.

W.A.R. spells it out exactly, and this is the truest statement he has ever made.

The radical retros have no way to support obama’s actions other than by writing page after page filled with nothing but emotional whinning. Some of you need to read this.

In reading Shane Lopez’s new book, Making Hope Happen, my biggest takeaway is pretty straightforward: If I wake up in the morning with hope, and you don’t, I will win more often, be more likely to have a good job, be more productive, be more likely to get promoted, win customers, have higher wellbeing, live longer, and so forth. A person is much more likely to get what they need in life, whatever it is, if they have high hope, says Lopez, a University of Kansas Business professor, Gallup Senior Scientist, and a leading researcher on hope.

My favorite way to identify hope is the answer to this survey question: “Is the best part of your life ahead of you or behind you?” If your answer is “behind me,” you may have a small-to-serious hope problem. Of course, you’d think younger people would be more likely to say “ahead of me,” but don’t be so sure about that. I am 61 years old and 100% certain the best years of my life are still ahead of me. My wife and most of our friends feel the same way, whereas we know plenty of teenagers who are kind of checked-out, because they have no hope to find a great job when they graduate, and some kids even fear they won’t graduate at all.

Hope, or the lack of it, is a particularly urgent topic in the United States of America today. Simply put, the country is going broke. America’s GDP is now growing at a blended 1%, an alarmingly low rate that isn’t high enough to keep up with inflation, population growth, or even the most modest consumer price index. From where I sit, we need 2.5% just to tread water and 4.5% to boom again. But America’s economy will rapidly decline, in my view, unless the country’s entrepreneurs — the job creators and engines of economic growth — feel hopeful again.

And the signs just aren’t good. The January Wells Fargo/Gallup Small Business Index survey reveals that 30% of small-business owners are worried they may not be in business in 12 months. They sure aren’t feeling hopeful right now. What’s more, new business startups — usually driven by entrepreneurs’ hope and optimism about the future, by a free-enterprise spirit — have fallen below 400,000 per year, in my estimate, and the country needs a bare minimum of 1 million new startups annually.

Of course, you’ll hear hopeful talk from the White House and Wall Street about how the economy is improving. Don’t buy it. A pathetic 1% GDP growth, with Gallup registering unemployment at 8% and underemployment at 17%, doesn’t breed hope. Yet hope is what America desperately needs, because nothing great happens in the absence of high inspiration.

Amid all of this, there are reasons still to be hopeful, at least in the country’s long-term future. A Gallup study showed that 77% of students in grades five through 12 said that they want to be their own boss, and 45% plan to start their own business. When we asked the same group if they believed they would “invent something that changes the world,” 42% said “yes.”

So plenty of America’s middle and high school students have loads of hope, and it will most surely motivate those kids to succeed. As Lopez says, “When you think the future will be better than the present, you start working harder today.” We just need to value these kids’ hopes like we do a stock, because that hope will become our national stock price for jobs and growth. The hope of these 30 million kids in fifth through 12 grades for a prosperous future of entrepreneurship and innovation is critical to the very future of the United States of America. America’s leaders need to keep hope alive, too.

Jim Clifton is Chairman and CEO of Gallup. He is author of The Coming Jobs War (Gallup Press, 2011).

Undoubtedly, sequester is not the ideal way to cut spending – defense is hit hard and entitlements are not restructured. However, since the Democrats refuse to replace the sequester with targeted spending cuts and are pressing for even more tax hikes, it looks like the sequester will go through. President Obama is feigning outrage, but as Speaker Boehner points out, the sequester was Obama’s idea in the first place, conceived as a way to avoid bipartisan deficit reduction steps recommended in Congress. Expect more of these fiscal crises until this administration gets serious about restraining out-of-control government spending.

        No surprise here!

A progressive troll has to achieve a level of epic ugliness to stand out in his group of exceedingly ugly people.

Psychologist, Robin of Berkley, has expounded on the toxic psyche of the progressive troll:

The most hardcore of the leftists seem almost feral, wild, and undomesticated. Many lack even the most rudimentary of social skills; some people may very well be diagnosable on the autism spectrum.

Many militants are devoid of an essential ingredient of being human: empathy. While they exude endless compassion for an endangered snail, they are contemptuous of living, feeling human beings. This is why they can cavalierly imagine snuffing out Granny, a late-term fetus, or, in fact, anyone who gets in their way.

After that, he does another DaveH and quotes verbatim some spoutings from some character out of Robin Hood (Robin of Berkley?—–wasn’t he a henchman of the Sheriff of Nottingham? or the Crazy Lady Who Lived On The HIll?). This “Robin” he quotes certainly sounds like one of the insane right wing nuts that are the real trolls in the world of political discourse on web sites. Such “empathetic” and “healing” words. Reports from D.C. indicate Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is plotting to replace the mandatory spending reductions known as “sequestration” with job-destroying tax hikes.

Senator Reid may try to ram his tax-and-spend legislation through the Senate as early as next week.

Under the so-called “draconian” sequestration plan, spending will increase by $1.6 trillion over the next ten years – instead of by the planned increase of $1.7 trillion.

Yet even these phony cuts are too much for the spending addicts on Capitol Hill!

They would rather cripple the economy further with more tax hikes than even begin to slow the rate of the growth of spending!

Should the sequester take place, instead of ramping up spending $1.7 TRILLION over the next 10 years, the sequester will mean spending only increases by $1.6 TRILLION. Whoopy ding!

While it would not address our $16.5 TRILLION debt, studies show if the politicians would just agree to hold federal spending at 2.5% annual increases, the budget would be balanced in ten years.

Some major nuttiness being spouted by the mindless on this thread today. FreedomFighter speaks for many of them when he announces/proclaims/declares so emphatically:

“I wont respond to flashshill or CommieRedman or the rest either anymore, its NC or no comment for the shills, they are here to muddy the water, pollute and get paid for it”.

Yep, classic demonstration of confirmation bias—-don’t bother me with the facts, my mind is made up, I will believe only what I want to believe, I will deny any reality but my own, I will name call rather than address arguments—–ad infinitum.

And FF proves my point by doubling down with “Keep it going, Wayne truth wins every time”. That’s only true for those who don’t deny truth, FF.

Semper Stupid is what it is. (And I must get this out of my system—-I keep seeing the initials FFB when I read FF’s stuff—-like a tune you just keep hearing?. I think it stands for French Fried Brain).

  • Right Brain Thinker

I’ve been dealing with little brush fires of mindlessness so far on this thread and haven’t gotten to making an overall assessment of Wayne’s latest failure to show intelligence, honesty, or good journalistic skills.

To make it short and sweet, WAR has thrown a lot of horsepucky against the wall and NONE of it sticks. Why? Because WAR has misused, misstated, and or/outright lied about what all thos “sources” said in the various links he inserted to lend “gravitas” and “credibilty” to what isw nothing but a weak opinion piece. To wit.

Woodward—–a citation of a cherry-picked couple of sentences from a fairly long commentary by Woodward—-the other 98% of which directly contradicts what WAR would have you think Woodward said.

WalMart—–sales in early February were way down? DUH and double DUH. Does anyone happen to recall that little thing called NEMO that dumped 3 feet of snow in many WalMart parking lots?

And the pick of the litter. Wayne asks, “Did you know the average government janitor is paid $600,000 more over his lifetime than a janitor working in the private sector?”

Well no, Wayne, because that’s obviously untrue. A look at the latest figures shows that a “federal janitor” averages $30K a year, and a “private janitor” averages $24K. Since that’s a difference of $6k a year, they would both have to work for 100 years (ONE HUNDRED YEARS) before what you say could be true. I guess it could be possible if they started “janitoring” at 6 years of age and lived a long life, but the child labor laws will prevent such an early start. (I hope Wayne uses better math when he calculates odds for his clients).

To paraphrase Wayne, “The greatest threat to the future of America isn’t Obama or sequestration, folks, it’s the possibility that any REAL Americans will ever believe what WAR says and act upon it”.

    • Bob666

      Yo RBT,
While I do agree with you that WAR is an idiot at best, when you look at benifit cost, there is probably another $15K a year over the public sector. WAR is probably streatching a bit on his numbers, but this is one of the few items where he at least got the direction of his statment correct.

      • Right Brain Thinker

        NO, devil#bob.

I am shocked at your defense of WAR. I have on occasion agreed with and defended Bob Livingston, because a respect for truth demanded that I do so. Just as I have pointed out to him on occasion that he has “cooked” truth more than a bit.

I can’t recall reading anything from WAR that wasn’t mostly just propagandizing, wild opinion, and distorting of the truth. I too looked up the figures and looked at benefit cost, and you’re right that federal benefits are better than private, and the total might even approach $100′s of K over a normal working span. (Which gets us back to the fact of the greedy rich 1% destroying the unions and causing the 99% to lose ground and fall behind federal pay, but that’s another argument).

You forget what WAR said—his exact words were “Did you know the average government janitor is PAID $600,000 more over his lifetime than a janitor working in the private sector?”

He did NOT say that “the average government janitor recieves $600K more in TOTAL PAY AND BENEFITS than….”, which, as you point out, is at least trending towards what may be the truth.

You may want to give WAR the benefit of the doubt, but I cut him no slack. Anyone who wants to run his mouth like this needs to make it clear what they’re saying or people will accuse them of “failure to show intelligence, honesty, or good journalistic skills”, as I did. Based on his prior “writings”, IMO, I think WAR was deliberately throwing out a deceitful number just to inflame the mindless and hoping to get by with it. (same can be said for the Woodward and WalMart items).

why not go oil crazy on federal lands and apply what they get out of it toward the operation of this country. maybe there would be enough excess to pay towards the national debt. probly never happen and if it did the royalty in congress would go on a bigger spending spree. something has to be done.

        • Nick Czudy

Well Wayne. as Usual it is the same boloney that you usually spout as perceived in your rose colored glasses. As usual, you do not know how to view the world, except in your typical doomsday, view that is usual extreme right wing rhetoric.
The reason that the rest of the media, do not make big deals of this is that it is not a big deal.
You make such a ghastly thing about Obama having a game of golf with Tiger Woods. I remember that in W. Bush’s time, he was on the golf coarse almost daily. Obama takes a day off on a Sunday and has a game and it is the big news in the right wing bogger sphere. I am sure that he works 18 hour days, 6 days a week. He is entitled to have some down time. This is not an issue that needs to be be brought to the attention of a world that is waiting for big news.
You are looking under rocks for some hint of a scandal. that is why you and your fellow pundits have spent such a long time of Benghazi, and Fast and Furious and now the issue that Obama might have suggested the sequestration. So what. If he suggested it the GOP congress adopted it, hook line and sinker. To quote your illustrious leader John Boehner (sorry for the spelling) “We have gotten 98% of what we wanted in this bill” Also to quote your financial guru, Rep. Paul Ryan. It is great that we now have a cap on government spending. We all know that congress controls the purse strings of the government. Why are you not blaming them for this fiasco? Lets lay the blame exactly where it belongs. They only know how to obstruct. They do not have any good ideas that have come out in the last 4 years, except to try and repeal Obama care 90 times. (I am guessing the number). It is a lot.

If Obama suggested sequestration, it was because it was such a bad idea, that no one would have ever thought that a sane government, elected representative would ever allow such a bad idea to come to fruition. Well guess what. The idiots that are in charge of the congress just did that. They allowed and actually bragged about letting just such a thing to happen. The only good thing that I like about this plan is that their pay will also be sequestered. I wish we would save money and actually stop paying them altogether than to take money from hard working employees.

The fall in the GDP in the last quarter is a direct result of the uncertainty that was caused by the GOP congress in their threat to block the debt ceiling as usual. Do they not know that they alone are responsible for the perception that is given that there are a bunch of idiots in charge of the government purse strings? They are determined to slow our economy and cause a slow recovery. Business will not open their wallets and supercharge the economy when there is the uncertainty that they always project. This is almost outright close to being traitorous. They are purposely undermining our recovery.

So your rant is so totally expected as your predictions for the election. We will totally ignore it as everything else you have said. You will be happy to know that your right wing and soft headed followers will eat it up and heap praise upon you as usual. That will put a smile on my face.
Carry on in your delusion. As usual, distort the facts and pander to your followers.
          warm regards. Nick Cz

          • Bob666

Good for you dave-you’re not the only one to ever take an oath.

          • Nick Czudy

Hi Dave. You are absolutely correct. There was over 1 billion dollars spent on this election to try and influence the votes.
What do you think about “Citizens United”? Should billionaires like Sheldon Adelson and the Koch brothers be allowed to sink huges amounts of money into a candidate. You know that if that candidate wins, that he will owe something to those billionaires and will therefore make laws that will benefit that sponsor. In many countries this is known as bribery!
Also the super pacs added anonymity to many of these wealthy donors. That means that a wealthy person, can influence our politicians more that you or I can. Do you think that is OK? Should someone that is wealthy be able to assert more influence on politicians that an average person? That no longer makes us equal.

Mitt had many wealthy business owners, as they were after lower taxes and more profit.
Obama had some wealthy celebrities, but had more smaller donations from the middle class that he was fighting for.
The statistics from the bureau of labor showed that the wealthy people made up well in the last few decades. Their income has been growing despite the recession. A lot of that was due to loopholes and exceptions in the income tax rules that allowed them to pay a lower rate overall. Also they invested their extra cash off shore and this had major tax savings for them.
The average Joe (the plumber) used most of their cash to pay rising costs and if there was any extra cash left over, it was put in the bank or in 401k’s and a lot of that was lost when the recession hit in 2008. The actual income of the middle to lower classes was actually reduced and there was no improvement in life for this segment of the population.
These statistics on available on their web site.
The conclusion from this is that the wealthy class has done Ok and pay a lower percentage of their income in taxes. the middle class are the major payers to cover our government and countries expenses.
So should the wealthy donors be allowed to input vast amounts of cash to try and get sympathetic politicians into power that will leave the status quo, or should each persons donations be equalized so that everyone can donate and not be overspent by people that have more cash and will win by having their supported politician get into power.
I do not know about you, but this is bribery.
the medical industry has pumped millions and maybe billions into politicians coffers to keep the medical industry just as it is now. I hope that most of you have read the Times article on how the industry has been overcharging us and making huge profits on the backs of sick people. This is a result of allowing private enterprise to charge, without oversight, what ever they want. These people put huge amounts of money into elections to get friendly politicians elected that will allow them to continue to abuse and overcharge US citizens. For example, an aspirin issued in a hospital does not cost $27.00. That amount of markup is out outrageous, Private business could never get away with that kind of markup and profit margin. They get away with it as you do not know the charges and if you are doing or sick, you are not likely to check it out in advance and going down the street to another hospital.
To sum up, allowing too much money to influence (read it as bribe) our political process is wrong and dangerous to the health of the country.
            regards. Nick Czudy

          • Bob666

            Yo Nick,
A couple of observations on your post,

The medical industry spent multiple billions on their campaign against health care reform and never blinked an eye at that cost.

Citizens United is a crime against “we the people”. It does one thing and only one thing very well and that puts our rights up for auction to the highest bidder.

Finally, the $27.00 asprin is more a result of cost sharing that a hugh margin-not to say they are not making one. The majoriety of hospitals shift cost to cover high tech equipment and to cover the bills that don’t get paid.

          • Nick Czudy

The $3000.00 plus per day fee does cover all of the ancillary costs. Ex-rays and scans are charged separately. In fast every single item is charged for even a tissue and tongue depressor. In other countries, these are overhead items and never appear on a bull.
There is no way around it. After having experience in Chinese, Canadian and British hospitals, US hospitals do really overcharge. One area that other hospitals do not have to deal with is the huge CEO salaries and profit that US hospitals add to the cost.

In China I walked into a hospital and had W-Rays on my knee and a analysis for $35.00. What would that cost here? I then had surgery schedule on my two knees with a two day hospital stay that cost $800.00 total. this included the staff, medicine and the surgery. I had to have food brought in from outside restaurants. It is a little different.
But only in US hospitals do they gouge and rape the customers.

This is one area that really should not be private industry for profit. Peoples lives are not a fair competition for this industry. If they are sick and dieing, where is the chance to get a competitive price?
            Nick Cz

In a Wall Street Journal op-ed , 2/20/2013, House Speaker John Boehner describes the upcoming sequester as a policy “that threatens U.S. national security, thousands of jobs and more.”
Which leads to the question: Why would Republicans support a measure that threatens national security and thousands of jobs? Boehner and the GOP are determined to allow the $1.2 trillion sequester go into effect unless President Obama and Democrats agree to replacement cuts, of an equal amount, that target entitlement spending. If that doesn’t happen — and it seems entirely unlikely — the sequester goes into effect, with the GOP’s blessing.
In addition, Boehner calls the cuts “deep,” when most conservatives emphasize that for the next year they amount to about $85 billion out of a $3,600 billion budget. Which leads to another question: Why would Boehner adopt the Democratic description of the cuts as “deep” when they would touch such a relatively small part of federal spending?
The effect of Boehner’s argument is to make Obama seem reasonable in comparison. After all, the president certainly agrees with Boehner that the sequester cuts threaten national security and jobs. The difference is that Obama wants to avoid them. At the same time, Boehner is contributing to Republican confusion on the question of whether the cuts are in fact “deep” or whether they are relatively minor.
Could the GOP message on the sequester be any more self-defeating? Boehner could argue that the sequester cuts are necessary as a first — and somewhat modest — step toward controlling the deficits that threaten the economy. Instead, he describes them as a threat to national security and jobs that he nevertheless supports. It’s not an argument that is likely to persuade millions of Americans.
From an article by Byron York.

    • tony newbill

This proves that the Extortionist in Chief was successful in cornering the GOP last year when the Tactic used by the Master of deception to blame the GOP for a Debt Ceiling cap that would have shut down the government during the election year and the cuts that eventually need to happen neither party leadership wants to impose for it will cost them their jobs .

You Know anyone can do what Obama is and has done it just takes a Authority that will not hold him accountable for the unconstitutional deeds he is using to forge a support structure towards tyranny with .

Fundamentalism and Transformational-ism is whatever you want it to be and if you are following this line of thinking rather than the US Constitution then you can see where this is taking us all …… can’t you ?????????

      • Norm

“Whatever be the Constitution, great care must be taken to provide a mode of amendment when experience or change of circumstances shall have manifested that any part of it is unadapted to the good of the nation. In some of our States it requires a new authority from the whole people, acting by their representatives, chosen for this express purpose, and assembled in convention. This is found too difficult for remedying the imperfections which experience develops from time to time in an organization of the first impression. A greater facility of ammendment is certainly requisite to maintain it in a course of action accommodated to the times and changes through which we are ever passing.” –Thomas Jefferson to A. Coray, 1823. ME 15:488
“Though we may say with confidence, that the worst of the American constitutions is better than the best which ever existed before in any other country, and that they are wonderfully perfect for a first essay, yet every human essay must have defects. It will remain, therefore, to those now coming on the stage of public affairs, to perfect what has been so well begun by those going off it.” –Thomas Jefferson to T. M. Randolph, Jr., 1787. ME 6:165

“Some men look at constitutions with sanctimonious reverence and deem them like the ark of the covenant, too sacred to be touched. They ascribe to the men of the preceding age a wisdom more than human and suppose what they did to be beyond amendment. I knew that age well; I belonged to it and labored with it. It deserved well of its country. It was very like the present but without the experience of the present; and forty years of experience in government is worth a century of book-reading; and this they would say themselves were they to rise from the dead.” –Thomas Jefferson to Samuel Kercheval, 1816. ME 15:40

        • tony newbill

Was Thomas Jefferson a great politician and the template for all modern politicians?

He could be on both sides of every issue and engage in highly questionable conduct and still come out smelling like a rose. He told Washington that he was opposed to political parties, while creating America;s first modern political party. He extended an olive branch to his enemy Hamilton while exhorting Madison and his other followers to destroy Hamilton politically, socially and financially. In fact, he instigated an official government investigation of Hamilton all the while knowing that the charges against him were false. His reputation is even today spotless although he lied and cheated as much as any modern politician.

One political mistake might be that he believed that the French revolution would be swift and bloodless and result in a democracy much like ours. It is also questionable whether he actually supported the Constitution, although Madison covered for him on that one.

He was also the author of the Virginia resolutions which laid the conceptual framework for the south to succeed and cause the civil war.

Most of his mistakes were not political. For instance as president he shrunk the army and navy, a policy which was followed by his successors and which led to the U.S. almost being conquered in the war of 1812.

        • tony newbill

Norm you might want to consider why it is that the Liberals say the Constitution was drafted by hypocrites and that is why they think its articles are meaningless , so citing those who wrote it rather than focusing on the meanings of the Inalienable Rights it bestows to all citizens should be the creed we the people follow don’t you think ?

Anyone who talks about the elected President of the United States with hate, names and untruths can not be called an American. The process of the Democratic Republic is what it is and is based on the Constitution. Hopefully this message to climate skeptics explains how the evolving relationship of God, Mankind and the Sun over the past six centuries:

a.) First brought hope for Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness

b.) Then dashed hope for Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness

I deeply regret that it took me so long to decipher these events.

      With deep regrets,

      Investigator for Apollo

  • Right Brain Thinker

omanuel, I don’t want to be rude and crude, but may I suggest you take your “former principal investigator for Apollo” horsepucky elsewhere. You appear to be a serial off-topic commenter on many sites and your wing-nut science goes over the head of nearly everyone on this site anyway. Why waste your time and ours? Go write more articles for Nature that will never be published instead.

    • JeffH

Half Wit says “You appear to be a serial off-topic commente”.

What is obvious is that Half Wit Thinker is a “progressive “serial shill and troll” that displays a serious deficiency of need…illusory superiority.

      • Right Brain Thinker

Yes, it’s looking more and more as if JeffyH is the reincarnation of DaveH. He’s doing exactly what DaveH used to do—-follow me around and make inane and meaningless remarks.

      • JeffH

Half Wit, just how stupid can you be? Illusory superiority!

Here’s a summary of major events over the past six centuries (1500-2100 BC) that

a.) Brought hope for freedom to enjoy Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

b.) Dashed all hope of freedom to enjoy Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Resolution of this puzzle would not have been possible without help from many different people, including the joint efforts of George Orwell and Fred Hoyle in 1946 to:

_ a.) Warn the public about an impending tyrannical government
_ b.) Leave a trail of evidence for future generations to decipher

Wow, Someone got into your Jesus Juice and took a dump?

I'm not sure where some of you get this "posting for paychecks" crap, but if I am do a check-someone needs to pay up?

I guess my first question to you would be; what is like to go through life with such a limited and narrow view of life? Did it ever occur to you that maybe I am semiretired, made my fortune and have time as a resource? Not everyone needs to live their life just like you do, go to your church or vote your party and it really is OK if we don't.

Based on your comments, you have absolutely no clue as to who I am or what my political thought process is, so let me clarify and I'm only doing this because I can make you out to be a complete moron with little effort, how are those facts for you little girl?

I built a business over forty-five years and stayed in school most of that time. Sold my company for a decent pay day and still work part time on retainer, because I want to.

I was a card carrying member of the GOP back in the eighties, but saw the party sell out to right wing religious extremists and have been registered as a libertarian every sense. I love the free enterprise system because it gave me an abundance of opportunity. Oh yes, I have been happily married to the same woman, I suspect since before you were born.

As far as banning me from PLD, go for it. I am amused that you make the claim that I am a "paid shill" for the time I spend here, but you admit that you are on multiple web sites and I just have to ask-you writing you checks?

As far as agenda goes, I have none. I am pro freedom-Libertarian, People like me stand for small government, less controls and personal freedom (Personal Liberty Digest) and part of that freedom is not having people like you shove your religion down my throat.

As far as the second amendment goes, I purchased two shotguns in the last year for hunting as my daughter and I go hunting (go figure-she likes nature) and I have always owned guns, but I don't have an unhealthy attachment to them.

Most People with assault rifles are like guys who need a big mean dog, they lack man jewels and need to over compensate for a lack of manhood.

So now that we have determined that you lack the ability to accurately read people, believe everything you see on the internet and suffer from a poor upbringing, I hope you have a good day as well.

          • Bob666

            Oh American Girl,
You just know how to stroke Ol’Bob.

          • AmericanGirl

lol well Bobby, I do believe & respect the 1st Amendment in it’s entirety….. But I did wanna ask ya darlin if ya didn’t see it as possible that the AR-15 is merely the “musket” of our time?? Basing it on the 2nd Amendment?? Your thoughts please?

          • Bob666

            Yo Girl,
What we have in our society is a real mess when it comes to guns and gun culture. The first thing I would say is that I own guns and respect the right of most people to own guns. But guns are a lot like kids-there are a lot of people who have both and are not mature or smart enough to have ether one.

First, let me point out the fact that even if government tried to get every gun, there are so many out in our society that it would take the government a lifetime to collect them all if the citizens were willing to give them up & that is why folks like mike amuse me.

Finally, as for your question about the AR being the modern day musket? I believe that if the founding fathers were alive today writing the second amendment, they would probably word it differently based on the advancement in gun technology. I personally believe that society will at sometime in the future make a political change to the second amendment to deal with this advancement in gun technology and that will be 2/3’s of our voting population will be involved in that decision.

As far as guns go, I don’t have an emotional attachment to them, they are tools and nothing more. Many men (not all) use guns like fast cars, fast boats, big trucks and other toys to overcompensate for a lack of manhood or to fill an emotional void. People don’t respect each other like they should and when confrontation heats up and the guns come out for the wrong reason and a high price gets paid.

          • AmericanGirl

Well darlin I appreciate your opinion as always….. I think and this is in MY opinion it is a bit askewed and of course those “sharks in your mouth” when you equate a man’s manliness with his gun; car or boat is sooooo naughty lol BUT I still have a crush on you either way!! TY for your candid answer! ;)

          • Bob666

            Aw Girl,
bet you that to all the Sharks :>

          • AmericanGirl

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM no darlin NOT all…….. ;)

          • Nick Czudy

Wow Mike. That is exactly the problem. There is that group of people like you that the whole gun thing is a culture. It makes you talk macho and you seem to follow the “if you want my gun, then you will have to pry it from my dead cold hands.
That is exactly the problem. You have that gun culture that is the problem.
I wonder if you would pass the psychological tests and get licensed.
If you keep that attitude up, then you will one day encounter someone that will put you to the test and we will be hearing about your demise.

Do you walk around with the gun on your person every day? Are you doing it to defend yourself or are you doing it to intimidate other people?

          • http://google mike b.

Im making sure that Hussein Obama and his thug administration DONT INTEMEDATE ME. Have you thought thats why our founding fathers put that in the bill of rights. They knew one day that whats happening with Hussein Obama turning our country intio a marxist dictatotship. They gave us gthis right because they had the foresight back then to know a state-run media will lead a mis-informed public to elect a thug like Hussein Obama and this is our protection from that ignoreance, and yours!!

    • JeffH

..B666 says he is “I am pro freedom-Libertarian” and then says “As far as the second amendment goes, I purchased two shotguns in the last year for hunting as my daughter and I go hunting (go figure-she likes nature) and I have always owned guns, but I don’t have an unhealthy attachment to them.

Most People with assault rifles are like guys who need a big mean dog, they lack man jewels and need to over compensate for a lack of manhood.”

Me thinks B666 is a serious hypocrit!

You’re anything but a Libertarian of any kind and you speak in ignorance when you made the two gun comments that you made.

Unhealthy attachement? What a joke and what ,pray tell, do you deem to be an unhealthy attachement? But it was important for you defend your gun ownership by letting all of us know you just purchased 2 shotguns and have always owned guns and then turn around and make a hypocritical sweeping opinion about assaul rifle owners. You obviously haven’t a clue that “assault rifles” are banned from civilian ownership since 1934 or you’ve taken the anti-gun doublespeak of Obama, Bloomberg, Feinstein and their anti-gun ilk and decided that semi-auto rifles are nothing more than “assaul rifles”.

      Which is it Hypocrit666?

      • Bob666

        Yo Jeff,
So good of you to come in with full force. I don’t have a problem with the 2nd amendment or for that matter, your interpretation of it. As a libertarian, I know there is a cost for every freedom and that cost for gun ownership is a higher murder rate per capita than most of the industrialized world.

Just as it is with abortion, the freedom of choice carries consequences and that consequence is there will be abortions and for that freedom, that is an acceptable cost.

As for assault rifle verses assault weapon, if you want to mince terms-that’s fine, you got me.

As for guys who cling to their guns with an unhealthy attachment-well I will stand by my statement as for many (not all) an assault weapon helps compensate for a lack of manhood just like big trucks, fast cars, big boats, etc.

For a lot of men, it is a power issue (and some women as well).

So, my question to you is; how is that I am hypocritical? Because I don’t line up with your view on the subject?

I’m more than man enough to stand by my statement, without a gun, are you?

As for letting someone know this, I did this to point out that looking at me as a “liberal” is far off the mark as that is what another poster was doing.

The first amendment is a wonderful thing-it gives us the opportunity to voice our opinions, good or bad.

        God bless America!!!!!!!!!!!

      • JeffH

Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum B666, I just called it as I saw it. You seem to wander a bit in your defense, a lot of unnecessary explaining to justify your assumptions. I realize it’s just your opinion as my observation are but that doesn’t take away from your apparent hypocricy.

Ten gods cannot change the opinion of one fool, especially if another fool agrees with him.

        • Bob666

          Yo Jeff
I am really disapointed in you, it took you a full 32 minutes to come back with a reply.

We have a diferance of opinion on this issue and I am Just Fine with mine as you appear to be with yours.

Many people on this site get very emotional regarding the issues they hold dear to thier state of reality and facts.

But, I will still claim my postion as a “pro freedom-Libertarian” and I am just fine with that as well even if it does not match your definition.

          God Bless Ameriaca!

          Virtus junxit, mors non separabit

Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum B666, were you expecting an instant reply…not sorry for your disappoinment. You still say you’re a “pro-freedom libertarian” and I’ve judge you by your comments…you’re no more a libertarian than the US is a democracy. A moderate at best.

Notice that the USA isn’t even ranked among the top 62 countries…You better check your facts rather than try to slip by some unsupported mis-statement like that.
You hide behind the 1st Amendement but have no problem with compromosing the 2nd Amendment. That’s also hypocritical.

Your “cling to your guns” comment is another delusional anti-gun talking point, not based on reality.

You also said “I’m more than man enough to stand by my statement, without a gun, are you?”

DUH, just how low can you get B666? Is that supposed to be your idea of a “manly” challenge of some sort? Just another example of your hypocrisy.

No, you may think you’re a Libertarian…but then there are a lot of hypocrits that say they’re christians too.

        • Bob666

          Yo Jeffry,
Paying attention is obviously not your strong suite, “I know there is a cost for every freedom and that cost for gun ownership is a higher murder rate per capita than most of the industrialized world”. Only about eight of those countries could be considered industrialized.

“You hide behind the 1st Amendement but have no problem with compromosing the 2nd Amendment. That’s also hypocritica”. NO JEFFRY, I HIDE BEHIND NOTHING-WITHOUT THE SECURETY OF A GUN.

“Your “cling to your guns” comment is another delusional anti-gun talking point, not based on reality”. NO JEFFRY, I DON’T NEED A GUN TO FEEL LIKE A MAN.

“You also said “I’m more than man enough to stand by my statement, without a gun, are you?” . THIS IS THE ONLY THING YOU GOT CORRECT JEFFRY.

DUH, just how low can you get B666? Is that supposed to be your idea of a “manly” challenge of some sort? Just another example of your hypocrisy. NO JEFFEY, THAT IS A STATEMENT OF FACT.

No, you may think you’re a Libertarian…but then there are a lot of hypocrits that say they’re christians too. NO JEFFEY ACCORDING TO MARION WEBSTER-I AM A LIBERTERIAN, AS FAR AS RELIGION GOES-THAT IS A WHOLE DIFFERENT CONVERSATION.

“A proponent of libertarianism, the group of political philosophies that advocates minimizing coercion and emphasizes freedom, liberty, and voluntary association.”

“1-: an advocate of the doctrine of free will
2-a: a person who upholds the principles of individual liberty especially of thought and action
bcapitalized: a member of a political party advocating libertarian principles
          — libertarian adjective
          — lib•er•tar•i•an•ism”

Notice how there was no mention of guns in that definition”

Now I can cut and paste statistics as well and who is to say mine are more or less accurate, but this is an area Jeffry that we are just going to disagree, I’m emotionally secure enough to deal with it Jeffry, are you?

      • JeffH

Correction…the US is #24 out of the 62 listed.

      • Julie

Fellas, here’s some thing to think about. Connecticut has an assault weapons ban, so how did Nancy Lanza register a AR15? Me thinks this smells like “fast and furious”

        • Bob666

          Yo Julie,
Me thinks you need to get your nose checked.

      • JeffH

Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum B666, I find you to be a joke…hypocritical and not even close to being a Libertarian let alone understand the Libertarian principles. I’ll educate you.

        What is The Libertarian Party?

The Libertarian Party is your representative in American politics. It is the only political organization which respects you as a unique and competent individual.

        America’s Heritage

Libertarians believe in the American heritage of liberty, enterprise, and personal responsibility. Libertarians recognize the responsibility we all share to preserve this precious heritage for our children and grandchildren.

        Free and Independent

Libertarians believe that being free and independent is a great way to live. We want a system which encourages all people to choose what they want from life; that lets them live, love, work, play, and dream their own way.

        Caring For People

The Libertarian way is a caring, people-centered approach to politics. We believe each individual is unique. We want a system which respects the individual and encourages us to discover the best within ourselves and develop our full potential.

        Principled; Consistent

The Libertarian way is a logically consistent approach to politics based on the moral principle of self-ownership. Each individual has the right to control his or her own body, action, speech, and property. Government’s only role is to help individuals defend themselves from force and fraud.

The Libertarian Party is for all who don’t want to push other people around and don’t want to be pushed around themselves. Live and let live is the Libertarian way.

It’s obvious by your own comments that you don’t adhere to the Libertarian principles. In other words B666, you are a hypocrit as I stated before and your doublespeak doesn’t change that fact including “industrialized”.

        • Bob666

          Yo Jeffry,
Thank you for your definition of libertarian. for the most part I agree with the principals that you have written.

Other than the fact that I don’t have an unhealthy attachment to firearms and scrutinize the information that I see on the internet with more suspicion and oh yes, look at life a bit more objectively with a global view, the principals that you have listed are sound and do describe my political views very well.

Other than where fire arms come in and your view of the second amendment which might be different, but not wrong, you have yet to point out why I am a hypocrite.

Could it be that you are far more threatened by a difference of opinion?

Jeffery, the world is not black and white, it is many shades of grey and your philosophical beliefs do not set the standard on what god we should worship, what political parties we should belong to or for that fact, what the correct interpretation of the constitution is correct.

That is why Baskin and Robbins (and Ben’n Jerry’s) make so many different flavors of Ice Cream.

By the way, mine is not the correct and only view for that fact, but I am emotionally secure enough to admit that, are you?

      • JeffH

B666, you’ve spent so much time trying to justify you positions and even more time attempting to defend yourself…I have to question your own secureness…shaky for sure.

BTW, just what exactly is my view of the 2nd Amendment considering I haven’t stated my view to you or anyone else?
        Conjecture? Absolutley.

B666, been around long enough to see right thru people like you…a faux libertarian and just left of a moderate.
The hypocrit thing…you’re clearly in denial but that’s OK with me. Lastly, your only concerns about freedom are what you agree with, otherwise you’re perfectly fine empowering the government to trample on the rest of the people’s freedom.

        Molôn Labé!

Military veterans consistently poll as identifying themselves as conservative, which in Obama’s world equates into “right wing extremists.” In fact, the Left has lumped everyone into this category who doesn’t swallow Obama’s big government crisis management mode of government—which tends to mean nullifying the Constitution and/or spurning Congress.

But when Obama’s big government plans start calling for “universal background checks” and bans on “assault weapons,” those who are students of history know what is next: totalitarianism. And despots need an enemy. Hitler had the Jews, and Obama has conservatives. IMPEACH OBAMA NOW!!!!

          • kimo3690

Some will cry conspiracy theory; and up until perhaps a year ago, I would have joined in handing out tin foil hats. But just this week, the Obama administration sent out a slew of letters to “disabled” veterans, telling them to turn in their guns. The Department of Homeland Security produced a ten-minute video on how to recognize domestic terrorists. Did any of these “domestic terrorists” hail from the Middle East or North Africa, as one would normally expect given their track record? Or were they likened to the domestic terrorist par excellence, the Fort Hood Shooter, Nidal Hasan? Oh, wait a minute. That was “workplace violence” according to the Obama administration. So what did these potential domestic terrorists look like in the DHS “training” video? All middle class, all white. Must have just been a coincidence. IMPEACH OBAMA NOW!!!

          • kimo3690

An openly homosexual California State Senator, Ricardo Lara, has proposed a new bill, SB 323, called the “Youth Equality Act,” that would strip the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) of their tax-exempt status because of the organization’s ban against practicing homosexuals joining the Scouts.

If passed, this measure would provide the template for similar legislation in all the other states. The bill is strongly supported by the powerful pro-homosexual lobby in California.

++Pro-homosexual bullying is taking a huge toll on one of America’s premier youth organizations.

As you know, the BSA’s executive leadership and its Board of Directors are under enormous pressure to change their decades-old policy of banning openly practicing homosexuals from participating in the Scouting program.

Radical pro-homosexual groups and mainstream organizations which have already caved to the pressures of these radical groups are generating an intense assault to force the Scouts to lift their ban.

++Baptists ask the Scouts to stand strong.

The Executive Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention, representing over 16 million members, passed a resolution earlier this week calling on the Scouts to uphold their policy, declaring that lifting the ban on homosexual membership would…

“place the Boy Scouts organization at odds with a consistent biblical worldview on matters of human sexuality, making it an organization that would no longer complement, but rather contradict, our belief in God and His moral precepts that serve as the basis for our Christian faith.”

The SBC is also calling on like-minded corporate leaders to rise up and financially support the scouts, thus…

“sending a strong signal to those corporations that have pressured the Scouts to capitulate to popular culture by financial coercion.”

Several of the BSA’s sitting board members are leaders in major corporations that have already implemented pro-homosexual advocacies within their organizations. Now they are pressuring the BSA to do the same – or face the possibility of losing their corporate financial support.

++This volatile issue could ruin one of America’s most respected institutions!

This conflict of worldviews has several more weeks to intensify before the BSA Board Meeting in May. If passed, the change of policy would begin the drastic decline of an organization that has long made a positive contribution to the moral climate of our nation.

My colleague, Matt Barber, appropriately called the proposed policy change “Gay-Activist-Assisted Suicide.”

            IMPEACH OBAMA NOW!!!!

          • kimo3690

How exactly did the DHS come to the conclusion that white, middle class American citizens were the enemy? Well, the government did what the government does best— commission a study. A little known sub-department within the DHS called the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism—START, for short— published “Hot Spots of Terrorism and Other Crimes in the United States.” Who should we be worried about per START? Those who are “reverent of individual liberty.” Those who are “suspicious of centralized federal authority.” Those who believe there is a “grave threat to national sovereignty and/or personal liberty.”

Kind of sounds like those who identify themselves as part of the Tea Party movement.

This is no joke, America. Barack Obama and his Marxist minions are coming after conservative America with a vengeance.

            IMPEACH OBAMA NOW!!!!

When you hear “diversity” from the seared conscience of the “progressive,” that means racial, ethnic, and even sexual preference… a far cry from the infinite range of gifts and talents of any people. Consider the Declaration of Independence; “… endowed by our Creator…” True diversity is found in that endowment – the endless possibilities found when people can communicate and work together. The USA made it big because it added the rare element – opportunity!

When we wake up and realize the nature of this battle between what Pope Benedict correctly calls “the Culture of Death” vs. “the Culture of Life,” perhaps we’ll begin to use or own far more formidable weapons to defeat “the accuser of the brethren.” I’m tired of playing in Saul Alinsky’s back yard with his thugs and by his rules.

            IMPEACH OBAMA NOW!!!

          • kimo3690

There is a perfect and ordered antidote for the poison of “progressivism” that is leading us to a one world government under fascism or Sharia. Both are two-class societies that define a “Culture of Death.” The order of priority is critical in our thinking and creative processes. Human discourse and creative activity can best be found in nine points our Founding Fathers must have had more than an inkling of. There is great hope to develop a middle class with its infinite opportunities to rise above one’s station in life – to succeed – to fail – to try again. I like to call it “The Fountain of Opportunity and Prosperity.”

            1. Beauty – Endowment by our Creator – Highest level of human discourse; spiritual, structural, and personal beauty, art, music, and literature – The Declaration of Independence

            2. Ethics – Define Moral, Ethical, and Political Boundaries – The Constitution of the United States.

            3. Logic – Defend Beauty – Define Logic from Multiple Inferences – The Bill of Rights

            4. Subsidiarity – Self Reliance; Levels of Help when needed include strict Time and Involvement, Limits on Government

            5. Solidarity – One Nation under God, love of country, appreciation of natural beauty, community and resources and their care.

            6. Chaos – Unexpected Opportunities Presented – spontaneously exploiting opportunities to meet others, invent, create, and serve.

            7. High Touch – Key Component in Design, Construction, and Maintenance; Music, Art, and Literature.

            8. High Tech – The Whole Process of Discovery and Development – “Subdue the earth, be fruitful and multiply…” Be so much in awe that stewardship is natural, not forced.

            9. High Finance – The Enabling Servant of all the above. Money spent – not loaned – into existence per the Founders’ intent – each dollar circulating 9 times in the economy – “Blessed are the poor in spirit.” – Those whose wealth in money or talent is willingly shared with the helpless or an aspiring talent.

This priority list didn’t come out of thin air, but in the timeless human pursuit for meaning and accomplishment in life. America’s greatest Philosopher, Charles Sanders Peirce, saw a proper ordering of the normative sciences of Philosophy as: Beauty, Ethics, and Logic (BEL). In the “progressive world, Beauty is in the sewer of debt and depravity instead of being the top priority. Logic is consistently based on false premises, leading to faulty and deadly Ethics (LEB).”

Subsidiarity and Solidarity must function in combination. They are clarified in Pope Benedict XVI’s encyclical “Caritas in Veritate” – Charity in truth. I added the Chaos that brings unexpected opportunities, chance meetings, and the infinite permutations and combinations of events and inspirations we see in every day life. “E pluribus unum” combined with the opportunity to rise above one’s station we Americans have always been blessed with – often in spite of ourselves.

High Touch and High Tech come from John Naisbitt’s 1980 book “Megatrends”, where he accurately projected coming events with the rise of technology and appreciation for things of beauty. I added High Finance as Enablement – as servant, not master as found in the multistory outhouse of “progressivism.”

It is time to put the melody back into music * Pride into appearance * Courtesy into driving * Romance into love * Commitment into marriage * Responsibility into parenthood * Togetherness into the family * Learning into education * Service into patriotism * Nativity scenes in the city square * Civility into behavior * Refinement into language * Dedication into employment * Prudence into spending * Ambition into achievement and God recognized as our endowing Creator in the halls of government and education from the home to the outer reaches of academia.

OK Jeffery, at what point did I say that I am perfectly fine empowering the government to trample on the rest of the people’s freedom?

As far as the second amendment and your view, look at your avatar Jeffery, that says it all.

Now, here is where I am going to prove you wrong, sitting in my bed side table is an M1911 that was my first handgun and was a gift from my father when I turned 21 years old. It was his service side arm in WW two and Korea.

A Politico column criticizing the Obama administration’s media tactics is drawing attention, but four years ago, the White House communications director disclosed that Obama’s presidential campaign focused on “making” media cover certain issues while rarely communicating anything to the press unless it was “controlled.”

WND exposed the video of Anita Dunn speaking to the Dominican government at a videotaped conference.

          Ads by Google

 with Billy Graham,
Declare: “I still have hope for America because of Jesus Christ”
comments were given further national attention after the popular Drudge Report posted the WND story.

Dunn stepped down two weeks after the story was released, although she said she was staying on in an advisory position.

“Very rarely did we communicate through the press anything that we didn’t absolutely control,” Dunn told the Dominican officials.

“One of the reasons we did so many of the David Plouffe videos was not just for our supporters, but also because it was a way for us to get our message out without having to actually talk to reporters,” said Dunn, referring Obama’s chief campaign manager.

“We just put that out there and made them write what Plouffe had said as opposed to Plouffe doing an interview with a reporter. So it was very much we controlled it as opposed to the press controlled it,” Dunn said.

Dunn said that whether it was a Plouffe video or an Obama speech, “a huge part of our press strategy was focused on making the media cover what Obama was actually saying as opposed to why the campaign was saying it, what the tactic was.”

The White House, she said, was “making the press cover what we were saying.”

Dunn was speaking at a Jan. 12, 2009, event hosted by the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development, which seeks to promote collaboration between the U.S. and the Dominican Republic. The event was held in Santo Domingo and was attended by the country’s president.

A Politico column this week by Jim Vandehei and Mike Allen described how with more technology, and fewer resources than many media companies, “the balance of power between the White House and press has tipped unmistakably toward the government.”

“This is an arguably dangerous development, and one that the Obama White House – fluent in digital media and no fan of the mainstream press – has exploited cleverly and ruthlessly.”

The column said the White House has been bypassing the media, even shutting down interviews with “many of the White House reporters who know the most and ask the toughest questions.”

In one of many examples cited, Allen and Vandehei recall that when Obama nominated Elena Kagan for the Supreme Court, Kagan gave one interview – to White House TV, produced by Obama aides.

“The balance of power used to be much more in favor of the mainstream press,” said Mike McCurry, who was Bill Clinton’s press secretary during the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

Nowadays, he said, the White House “gets away with stuff I would never have dreamed of doing.”

“When I talk to White House reporters now, they say it’s really tough to do business with people who don’t see the need to be cooperative,” McCurry said.

“Boob 6666___Any personal reasons, besides a paycheck, you come on here and act like you own the joint, there Mr Big shot? …yadda yadda” Angelwannabe

Typical for the crazed extremist TP crowd. Make up claims, attempt to diminish, ignore the facts, ignore reason and rational thought and smack talk about those who write salient counters to the inaccuracies contained in the PLD daily calling for gathering of the Crazies.

Angel, it is seemingly impossible for the crazed contingent of this nation to understand that the vast majority of the People place y’all in the category of folks who escaped from the local lunatic asylum. THEY are wrong according to you. You claim to be for freeing up the masses from imposition of the government. yet, many, if not all, of what you spout and support is exactly the opposite.

The Gov and GOP legislature of Michgan. Strong support by the extremist Right, the TP, and the American Taliban. They passed what they call an Emergency management Act. in essence, it tossed out the voters elected officals, may take control of local governments based upon a decision by unelected officials, ruled by an appointee of the governor, and without having to answer to the local people, rules by fiat. Unlimited power over the local residents. Any law, any rule, any decision is subject to be tossed. The People of Michigan took it to the ballot, and rejected it soundly. The response by the Gov. nd Legislature? Pass it again with tweaks to prevent it from being able to be placed back on the ballot for another vote. The TP proudly supports this governor AND the EMA.

Or take the Sequestration which is the subject of Wayne “Bookie” Root’s article. Why was it proposed by the President? because the GOP extremists in Congress voted down a prior deal, refused to propose any solution, had placed this nation in credit default, raised OUR costs in interest payments by billions, threw the economy into uncertainty. THEN, after it was passed by Congress (many of the extremists voting for it), they now say it wasn’t their fault! The flaw as they now see it? Not the cuts to the services and programs which benefit us as a society. not the cops, th firemen, the first responders. not the Middle Class, the small business, the family farm. No..their cries of woe is because it would cut the military budget (bloated as it is), it would harm Big Busness, it would interrupt the subsidies to Big Oil. THAT is their concern. Listen to them Angel…LISTEN.

The TP crowd rails against this President for “out of control” federal spending. When the federal budget has flat lined during his administration. Not an increase in spending..flat lined. Government employment FELL every month but those during the Census and falls each month. That is what the crazies call out of control federal spending. No increases and shrinking federal employment.

Or the deficit spending. listening to the crazies, this President has added each year more and more deficit spending. The first year Pres. Obama was in office, the budget was Bush’s budget. Courtesy of the wacked Conservatives. two unfunded wars, an economy in a free fall, unemployment skyrocketing and HUGE deficits. Guess what? As it has for each year since this President took office, the amount of deficit spending SHRANK, This year it is forecast to be less than $850 billion.

You claim this administration is killing coal because of overregulation and attack. Exactly what regulation? Holding the industry to regulations which have been on the books for over 10 years? For creating policies which has caused the price of natural gs to drop…and utilities jumping to grab those savings over the cost of coal (production costs higher, storing it is higher and takes huge amounts of land for the bins, equipment processing at the plant costs hundreds of millions in added costs ..trucks, shovels etc) ?

Oh..and one of the better claims. Sharia Law. you rant about it, rave about it. Warn this admin. is implementing it. Yet, there are no cases, no instances, no court ruling..which has anything based upon it. And…you demand imposition of your christian laws and mores to be over all the land and all the People.

On and on, in almost every area, quite literally without exception…every policy, every program, every demand you make worsens this nation, is a lie, is a huge lie, is untrue, and does exactly what you “claim’ to be. Just what exactly have you called for which gives more freedom to Americans? What? What have you called for which can reduce the rule of the wealthy and Big Corporate oligarchy? What exactly have you called for to prevent religious rule imposed upon America?

Angel…you and all your ilk suffer from needing, craving, requiring..the TP trilogy of fear, anger, and ignorance. You are not an American patriot under any definition but your own twisted definition.

And of course, everyone you know of should be able to purchase a military type weapon…’cause they are responsible and you never think of them as idiots and you would not mind at all…not one bit, if folks had them strapped on their shoulders walking around in your neighborhood. Cause it their Gawd Damn given right. Responsibility..that’s what you are saying right?

Your Bible? No issue. And you would agree your ‘reading” of the book should not be imposed on those who would have a different ‘reading” or belief in its validity. Or you would have no objection to my beliefs being imposed on all to adhere to. Right?

Now…bout your solutions to the issues at hand. Specifics now. ‘Cause we all know you’ve thought through the cuts, what to cut, how it would effect the economy and society, and the ripple effects as they tumble through the economy.

Now why would i ever think you have no clue as to the effects should what you rant actually be implemented? …

        Yo Vet,
“I am an Extremist I like Guns & Bibles, I know it makes you liberals sick to hear us say those words. So you can research, rehash, redistribute your facts at least you believe what you say, it is good to stay informed”

I’m not a liberal and I like Facts and Reality. I will respect your need for your guns and bible and I will stick with Facts and Reality.

As for what I believe, you would beed to open your mind to find out.

Flpped on FOX & lamestream this AM & all we see is Ameged-dumb – the sky is going to fall iif we don’t give Obama more money – He wrote the damn bill, let him die by it – He’ll make it happen if the idiots in charge don’t do the job we elected them to do – PRESERVE & PROTECT the country & citizens. We don’t need more money or more spending – we must stop this craziness! Is the cut $40 billion or $85??? – can’t believe anything from government or the media!

Isn’t it past time the media stop giving free air time to lying treasonists who are using them to destroy the country.

WAKE UP – It’s time to stop following the lemmings – SEND THE ALIENS HOME & put our citizens in those jobs at free competitive wages AND – IMMEDIATELY START DRILLING FOR OIL until we’re exporters. Let the sky fall on Obama, McCain, Graham, Rubio, Reed, Pelosi…. They are the only thing between a debt free USA and financial collapse.

END AMNISTY! – - 12million illegals leave welfare, medical care, education, etc. $20K/ea = $240 billion…. Plus 12 million citizens now have jobs $43,500 avg/US wage = $522 billion… and off unemployment etc, $20,000 = $24 billion; and that move saves $1++ trillion/yr! Yes its a lot more than that!

Overrule Obama, send the greenies to the Anwar to feed the bears, and drill to make the US a full fledged energy independent nation that exports enough oil to bury OPEC and resurrect competition! Direct savings $520 billion

    -Citizens save $50/bbl on 6.2 billion/bbl of crude = $310 billion!
    -Produce the 4.2 billion/bbl oil now imported @ $50/bbl = $210 billion!
-Worried about food costs??? They’ve doubled & quadrupled recently because of “oil”!

    – Oil drops, wages increase, and everyone wins because competition is what made this country great !

    • Bob666

      Yo Hillbilly,
While I believe that your intentions are good and that we let our dependancy on forien oil control our economy to a negative result, drilling holes is not the only answer.

Many of those hole are only financially viable if the price of oil is > that $75.00/bar. Conservation and efficency are just as importaint.

But basically, we are in agreement.

Could be you are chasing the wrong fox. Too many people focus on the prisident. He is one individual, and easy to find. But remember that every tax, every sequester, every hig-cost project, every government take-from -me-and-give-to-you has to be passed by Congress. Every tax or financial law has to originate in the house of Representatives. Do you know how your representative voted in the various spending schemes. Did he put a little “earmark” of his own in the bill. That’s where the power is. Even in the states, that is true. A governor I had worked to help elect told me, after he had been in office a year. “I didn’t realize how LITTLE power the governor has. I can’t do a thing the Legislature doesn’t rule on first.”. Lee Greenwood sings “At least I know I’m free.” But how free are you when you can only do what somebody else thinks is good for you. You don’t decide how much to save for your retirement, or where it should be invested, or when you can retire. A “BBB” (Big, Bloated, Bureauocrat) decided it for you. If you own a restaurant, you don’t decide to serve or not serve people who smoke cigarettes. A BBB decided that. And you are not fighting it. Freedom is not free. You have to fight for it. At the ballot box, electing Senators and Representatives, is a good start. But only a start.

Hey, we have been screaming our heads off demanding cuts in spending, so why are we even having this discussion? And why are we ‘blaming’ Obama for doing exactly what we wanted? Let’s just suck it up and deal with it. It’s just a little taste of ‘small government”‘ that’s all. We don’t need to be afraid of something that we have been asking for ever since Obama got elected.

(((Helpful Tips for the Identification Of “Charlie”))) ……………………….There is growing, irrefutable evidence that the Crimean Khazars, whose kingdom extended over what is now the Ukraine to the Caspian Sea, officially converted to pure Mosaic Judaism in 861 under the rule of King Bulan. The Khazars do not appear to have been a people unto themselves, but rather a blend of many races resulting from the heavy trade that was going on at the time. The campaign of the Rus (Russian) Prince Svyatoslav of Kiev effectively broke the back of the Khazarian empire in 965 AD, although Khazar itself continued until at least 1030 AD. Under the growing persecution of Kiev Rus in the 11th and 12th century, the Khazars disappeared as a people. Nonetheless, there is overwhelming evidence that at least a portion of the Jewish Khazars fled to Eastern Europe and north into Poland and Lithuania.
