Obama Campaign Denies Involvement With Jeremiah Wright

Obama Campaign Denies Involvement With Jeremiah Wright
UPI FILE

With the polls showing that the Nation is beginning to see Mitt Romney as the man for the job, President Barack Obama may be getting desperate. According to San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, the President recently held a conference call with black preachers, including his controversial friend Jeremiah Wright, in an attempt to get blacks to vote.

Brown wrote in the San Francisco Chronicle:

If Obama looks as if he’s going black, he could turn off white people. So he’s largely been lying low on the race issues — visibly pushing for the Latino vote, the gay vote, the women’s vote, but not the black vote.

But last weekend, he held a conference call with a collection of black preachers that included his old pastor, Jeremiah Wright. He wanted to talk to them about getting out the vote.

The Obama campaign quickly tried to stifle the story, saying that Brown’s “report is false.”

When asked if Wright has been involved in the campaign, spokeswoman Lis Smith said, “He has not. The story is totally incorrect.”

I don’t know why they are worried about Wright. He was totally ignored by the LSM last election and I am sure he would be ignored or covered up again for this election.

    • Nadzieja Batki

Who are the “they” that are worried about Wright? If the “they” are O’s cohorts, they may be very well worried. Wright already knows O’s weaknesses and he can sway his congregation to vote for Romney. There is nothing so fervent against O except the people who found out what he really is.

      • eddie47d

Yes he is a duly elected President of the United States. No different than Ronald Reagan who had plenty of warts himself. You tried to diminish Obama by leveling false rumors about him at every turn. Saying he wasn’t born in Hawaii as an example. Saying he was born in Indonesia and then Kenya. You couldn’t get your stories straight so you accepted them all as fact instead of the fiction it was. We have a candidate in Colorado (Coffman) who says Obama is not an American. He use to be very popular ,had mostly common sense and always won by a landslide. This year the race is close and his right wing polices are being exposed. Republican negative policies could very easily backfire on them so be careful about what you assume.

        eddie,

“Colorado (Coffman) who says Obama is not an American”

Which means that my nieces husband will probably vote for him. :-( Even speaking about Obama with him is impossible. He brings out all of these rumors and gossip as facts, and when I point out what the actual facts are (I have been a researcher for over 25 years. I know about documenting your sources and evaluating those sources) he gives me the inane argument (?) that I’m drinking Obama’s kool-aid and I’m out to destroy my own country.

After I have, calmly, and methodically, shown that his beliefs are false, and there is documentation proving it, he says that it is doctored and doesn’t mean anything.

If documented facts don’t mean anything, what does?

I am really looking forward to this election being over. I’m hoping that this hysteria about both candidates eases.

BTW, while I did not vote for Romney, if he is elected President, he will be President. Just as Obama is President now. I didn’t like Bush but he was President, too. I do not disown the people that the majority of voters have put into office. If I don’t like them, I work harder 4 years later to put one that I do like into office, legally.

    • http://tlgeer.wordpress.com tlgeer

No, Wright was looked at 4 years ago. The majority of the press, and the public, realized that he was a blowhard that was using Obama to promote his own agenda. And that he wasn’t worth pursuing

You, tigeer, corrected another person for their alleged use of a word – grammar – so, GO BACK TO SCHOOL AND LEARN SOME PUNCTUATION! You don’t put comma’s where you put them…duh! Toots!

      • http://tlgeer.wordpress.com tlgeer

tag, so are you saying that the only thing you disagree about with my post is my punctuation?

        That’s nice to know.

        • Tag

Yep,you nailed someone about their grammar so I thought I’d play devils advocate and let you know that every one messes up – except Jeff (ha) of course! Sometimes our brains get in front of our fingers, so to speak, and we goof up! But, for the most, part it usually makes some sense. Have a good one!

      • http://tlgeer.wordpress.com tlgeer

No, Tag, I asked them to repost because I couldn’t understand why they were saying.

You have no idea who I am. You have no idea of what my mental capacity is. I do know that what you do to people who disagree with you is belittle them like elementary school children do. You might want to stop that. It does look good.

        • Jeff

I think Tag is going through his second (maybe third) childhood and loves to take on the whippersnappers (anyone under 70).

        • Tag

No, tigeer, you took a post meant for another as meant for you – that post was directed at Jeff – our brilliant conversationlist!

  • Tag

Of course obummer is scared of losing! He is incompetent and its a well known fact, a liar in chief. His good buddy, Wright, is just under the surface but he is there and don’t you think differently. BTW, on last night’s debate, did anyone notice the difference in the pronunciation of the country Pakistan? Romney and the moderator both pronounced it with a long “a” sound – Paaaaaakistan, but obummer said “Pahhhhhhkistan, the actual muslim pronounciation – now, obummer deny where you are truly affiliated! Obummer is truly a one trick pony and a phony – the sooner he’s gone with his good buddies the better off this country will be. What a hoot. He is rude, defensive, and [comment has been edited] like to talk over you – he thinks what he has to say is much more important than what you have to say – exhibits total disrespect, but then, that’s typical, right?

    • eddie47d

Tomato! Tamaaato! Is that all it takes to ruffle your feathers? Considering that Romney talked over Obama’s head and was condescending during the first debate maybe in reality it goes both ways.

      • Tag

Eddie, ha, your comment tells me a ton about YOU. You accuse Romney “of talking over obummers head” and if that is the case then obummer certainly DOES NOT NEED TO RUN THIS COUNTRY. Romney was perfectly clear and succinct in his comments – I think what you concluded about Romney, includes you, too, he talked over YOUR head as well – anyone with common sense and understanding didn’t have any problem with Romney’s statements and declarations!

    • Robert Smith

“Paaaaaakistan, but obummer said “Pahhhhhhkistan, the actual muslim pronounciation – ”

Oh sheesh… I pronounce where the Oreols play as “Balimer” rather the Baltimore. I’m not a native from there but I do like to respect how they call themselves.

Same thing with “Worchester” in MA. I’m not from there either, but I pronounce it as they do.

      It’s just common courticy.

      Rob

      • Tag

You are another of those clowns that can;t see the forest for the trees! His pronounciation of pakinstan clearly shows he is of that ilk and from that environment. If he was a true American he would talk like the rest but he isn’t – he was raised in that country, has that countries beliefs and if you think otherwise YOU are a fool! Fool!

      • Chester

Tag, I would say you would have a problem if I called you Tug, but in some parts of this country alone, that is how your name would come out. As far as that pronunciation of Pakistan having anything to do with the Muslims, only if they are native Pakistanis. Will say the time or two I heard it referred to, sounded more like Pack iss tan to me, which is generally the Western pronunciation.

        • Tag

Nope, Chester, I do not have a problem with anyone mispronouncing my name from Tag to Tug – I would more than likely laugh, but obummer’s using the correct accent is very telling and shows his roots, so to speak! It came very naturally to his lips and that alone says he is a product of that environment. Romney NOR the moderator used the proper pronunciation – they used the American one AND if obummer is product of THIS environment he would have used it, too! Wake up and smell the roses – its evidence like this that is small in appearance is very telling in reality!

      • eddie47d

Tag is only running his chops to stir up a non issue besides Obama was not raised in Pakistan. So enough of your baffling BS.

        • Tag

@eddie47d – of course it’s an issue – it shows what his true beliefs are and how they origiinated! If you think otherwise you can join Jeff as his second in command at being a fool! It’s little things like that, that are a slip of the tongue, that gives a person away and gets them ‘caught’. You nut cases would vote color anyway regardless of what that person is or what they believe. Try some investigative powers for a change, that is if you are capable of something other than just shooting your mouth off from the hip! Open mouth, insert foot!

      • Nadzieja Batki

Robert Smith and Chester, how far gone are you in desperation dither about O?

        • Tag

Ha! Kudo’s Nadzieja! Good comment and right on!

      • eddie47d

Since there are business owners who support Romney and have threatened their employees with layoffs and firing if they don’t vote for Romney I would say they are very unAmerican bosses. The Coors family tried that about 25 years ago here in Colorado and made it hard on workers who didn’t vote the Republican way. You had to keep your personal opinion to yourself or you were out the door. Even unions aren’t that bold or brash as Conservative have become in keeping the thumb down on workers.

      • Robert Smith

Eddie points out: “as Conservative have become in keeping the thumb down on workers.”

I think health care is part of that thumb. If one has to have a job to get health care it gives the employer a more means to control employees.

If one doesn’t have a job, no health care. It works to depress wages.

A strong case can be made that is why business doesn’t want universal health care. They just won’t have the same kind of control as they are used to.

Jeff, you are just plain ignorant! How do I know? You opened your mouth, thats how!

      • Tag

Jeffie baby, YOU are the racist – just look at this comment – what does anything have to do with race? DUH! However, you blacks make a mountain out of nothing, not even a mole hill! You blacks have overused that accusation and allegation too much and now no one cares – if you don’t like what I say then ‘just pass on by’ good buddy! What a joke! You are truly laughable!

      • eddie47d

        • Tag

    • http://golsanrp@suddenlink.net R.G.Malone

Tag, you’re right on. I noticed it (the pronunciation) as well, and pointed it out to my wife.
What I find amusing is that so many people with ears do not hear. And the people with
      eyes that do not see.
Did you ever see how Obamy’s dialect also change when he’s addressing a black group?
The guy is as phony as Biden is a buffoon.

      • http://tlgeer.wordpress.com tlgeer

And I say envelope as on-velope, whereas the majority of the US pronounces it as n-velope.

There is no hidden meaning behind the way someone pronounces a word. The belief that there is does not make any sense.

I used to live in Los Gatos, CA. I pronounce the town’s name in the way the hispanics do.

I pronounce Scotland with an accept. I have no idea why.

My Dad always pronounced Library as libery.

If you want to pick on something at least pick on something valid, instead of something made up in your mind.

        • Jeff

          Tigeer:

Tag (Romney?) and his ilk are something else. They see sinister forces as soon as someone is able to pronounce a foreign name correctly. Do they know Romney speaks French fluently? If he were a Democrat, that would be enough to disqualify him in their “minds.” They notice Obama’s accent and cadence changing when he speaks to a Black audience, but they don’t notice Romney changing the substance of what he says depending on the audience. To morons like Tag, Obama is different from him (Thank God!) and therefore not qualified to be President. After all, Tag is a “real American” and if you disagree with him, you must not be. For Tag, it’s actually true that everything he needs to know he learned in Kindergarten.

I see that during the debate last night, the candidates discussed the size of the Navy during WWI. I assume you have some knowledge about that. I don’t, but I was old enough during Viet Nam to know what was going on. Your man Romney protested FOR that war even though he knew he had monetary, educational, and religious deferments that would keep him rich, pampered, and safe. Romney has never seen a military action he didn’t wholeheartedly support, but no one in his family has ever even considered serving. He is the very definition of the term “chickenhawk.” Webster’s latest edition has just been updated with Romney’s photo right next to Cheney’s.

Romney’s business career has been nothing but the judicious use of debt to subjugate companies while he walked off with most of the assets, sometimes including the workers’ pensions. Just want you to know the guy you’re voting for is not exactly Henry Ford or Steve Jobs. He created nothing but debt and unemployment. He practically invented the concept of outsourcing to China. Take a look at Freeport, Illinois if you want to see what Romney’s America will look like.

            OK Tag:

Here’s my post and yours. Where did I imply Romney was around during WWI? You can chuckle to yourself in the Old Folks Home. I don’t suppose you read the article I posted because it’s written in literate English.

          • Tag

Oh, my God, I just made a type and odumbo Jeff will have a cat fit over it!! I used the word “the” instead of ‘their’…Oh woe is me!

          • Jeff

Oh, I see. You thought I said Romney protested for WWI. No, as I thought my post made abundantly clear, he protested FOR the Viet Nam War while a freshman in college. What kind of [comment has been edited] protested FOR the war in the 60s? And if he thought it was such a great cause, why did he use all his resources to avoid service?

          • Tag

And, Jeff, you know that how about Romney allegedly avoiding serving his country? You were there? Maybe he couldn’t use the excuse YOU used – age. Maybe its just more bull like the bull spouted about slavery, too. Lordy, slavery and racism! Can’t you people think up something new?

          • Jeff

You really should have your granddaughter monitor your computer use. You’re making a fool of yourself.

          • Tag

Jeff, you made an accusation and allegation against Romney and when you are challenged you then start with the smart mouth and sarcastic comments. Is that how you handle problems? Pretty juvenile if you ask me. BTW, I don’t need to worry about making a fool of myself – YOU have done that enuf for both of us! Everyone on here knows that!

          • Jeff

I thought your post about Romney was too inane to respond to, but I will. Was I there? No, I was not with the Romneys when they discussed young Mitt’s draft deferments. But I saw the pictures of him demonstrating in favor of the war in the mid 60s. Not too many college students did that. And I know he had deferments including one that only Mormons got to go on Church missions.

          • Tag

IF Romney voted, as a college student, in favor of that war then he is NO different then the college students that voted this LOSER into office! So,its OK if the college student does something YOU approve of, like vote for obummer, but as we both know, college students are not dry behind the ears and don’t make very good decisions because they lack the experience needed to see truth from fiction – like in your comments and defense attempts. So, if you condem Romney when in college then you condem the other college students the same way. Proof they don’t have the intelligence of a cow!
You can’t have it both ways!

          • Jeff

In the 60s and early 70s, the vast majority of college students had it right about Viet Nam while those with all the experience were DEAD WRONG. Romney was a college student without sufficient balls to stand up to his father, who was for the war until 1967, or the Mormon establishment. He has never shown any moral courage at all.

In The Fog of War, McNamara essentially says “who knew?” concerning the fact the Viet Namese thought they were fighting a colonial civil war and were not stand-ins for the Russians. All those college students knew it, that’s who. The ones yelling at the White House every day: “Hey, hey, LBJ. How many kids did you kill today?”

And it wasn’t just our soldiers who died there and the millions more who came back to ruined lives. Millions of Viet Namese and Cambodians died as well because our “experienced” policy makers had no idea what they were doing and only wanted to save face for the voting public.

          • Tag

Jeff, your rhetoric in this blog is describing exactly what obummer is currently doing! How can you miss that when it is so blatantly clear? You see what you wANT to see is how.

          • Jeff

            Tag:

I know you’re used to talking to your war buddies in a kind of shorthand where you don’t need to say anything, but in a more public sphere, it really helps to say what you mean. I’ve seen what you think of Black people in general and you’re a Confederate at heart. What is Obama doing that I am describing with my rhetoric? The post you’re responding to dealt with Romney and his pro-war activities as a young man.

          • Tag

Jeff, I realize you have a comprehension problem and believe me, I do try to take that into consideration when posting to you, however, there IS a limit to just how simply a comment can be made. Now, I’ve used language that any 9 year old could understand so I’m confused, since you declare yourself practically a Rhodes Scholar, as to why you cannot associate what I’ve said in response to your post. It goes like this: you were criticizing Romney with all kinds of complaints, remember, YET obummer is currently doing the very same things you accuse Romney of! Get it? Wake up and smell the roses and realize the guy you champion does NOT walk on water!

          • Jeff

It’s not how simply something is said. Rather, iit’s what is said. I see no specifics of any kind in your posts. Other than scaring the bigots like you, what is it that Obama is doing that you find so horrible?

        • Tag

@tigeer, unfortunately, you don’t have the capability to assimiliate the information you are either given or have read – if you had a brain you would be considered dangerous! It’s nut cases like you that put this great pretender in office. He learned that pronounciation because that is where he was educated – obviously something YOU missed! DUH! Ah, lets see, you were one of the idiots that voted on this loser in the first place, right? So, you, along with the others, are the ones responsible for this country being in the fix it currently finds itself? YOU are responsible for the loss of jobs and people being foreclosed on and losing their homes!!! Way ta go – bet yo mammy is real proud of you!

          • Jeff

And I take it you voted for that great President W? If anyone but a right wing moron compares their records, he must conclude Obama’s record easily eclipses W’s. I thought W was the worst president in U.S. history but I never compared him to Hitler as folks on this blog regularly do with Obama. So, look at your own allies if you’re looking for certifiable nutjobs.

          • Tag

You, baby Jeff, do not have the pleasure of knowing for whom I voted then, before then, or before that – nor will you ever! BTW, did the teacher tell you that YOU FLUNKED YOUR TEST IN MIND READING? dUH!

@R. [comment has been edited] They won’t see he cares nothing about them – only what they can do FOR him – THEIR VOTE. [comment has been edited] Obummer is an egotistical, ego-maniac, that thinks he walks on water – NOT! I didn’t vote for him before because he is as transparent as plastic wrap, and as phony as a $4.00 bill. [comment has been edited] You cannot build YOUR self esteem through another persons successes – your self esteem comes from YOUR successes. His being successful does nothing for you and if you think it does then you better go into counceling ASAP. I noticed the change in behavior when obummer was elected by black people. Their behavior changed and NOT for the better, so any negative attitude that existed before a black president was increased 10 fold and now your reputation is less than it was before – THAT IS NOT SUCCESS AND SELF ESTEEM – THAT JUST MAKES YOU YOUR OWN WORST ENEMY!

Romney family buys voting machines through Bain Capital investment Cleveland /United-States-Of-America/Ohio/Cleveland ,Oct 19, 2012

Romney family buys 2012 voting machines
Tagg Romney, the son of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney /people/Mitt_Romney, has purchased electronic voting machines that will be used in the 2012 elections in Ohio, Texas, Oklahoma, Washington and Colorado.

“Late last month, Gerry Bello and Bob Fitrakis at FreePress.org broke the story of the Mitt Romney/Bain Capital investment team involved in H.I.G. Capital which, in July of 2011, completed a “strategic investment” http://www.higprivateequity.com/NewsRelease.php?id=881 to take over a fair share of the Austin-based e-voting machine company Hart Intercivic http://www.hartintercivic.com/,” according to independent journalist Brad Friedman. http://www.bradblog.com/?cat=38

But Friedman is not the only one to discover the connection between the Romney family, Bain Capital, and ownership of voting machines.
    Truth out http://truth-out.org/news/item/12204-does-the-romney-family-now-own… reports:
“Through a closely held equity fund called Solamere, Mitt Romney and his wife, son and brother are major investors in an investment firm called H.I.G. Capital.

H.I.G. in turn holds a majority share and three out of five board members in Hart Intercivic, a company that owns the notoriously faulty electronic voting machines that will count the ballots in swing state Ohio November 7. Hart machines will also be used elsewhere in the United States http://www.hartintercivic.com/.

In other words, a candidate for the presidency of the United States, and his brother, wife and son, have a straight-line financial interest in the voting machines that could decide this fall’s election. These machines cannot be monitored by the public.

But they will help decide who “owns” the White House.”
Both The Nation http://www.thenation.com/article/170470/tagg-team-romney-family-rec… and New York Times http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/01/us/politics/ties-to-romney-08-hel… confirm the connection between the Romney family, Solamere and the Bain Capital investment in the voting machine company, Hart Intercivic, whose board of directors http://www.hartintercivic.com/pages/447 serve H.I.G. Capital.

“Mitt Romney, his wife Ann Romney, and their son Tagg Romney are also invested in H.I.G. Capital, as is Mitt’s brother G. Scott Romney.
The investment comes in part through the privately held family equity firm called Solamere, which bears the name of the posh Utah ski community where the Romney family retreats to slide down the slopes.” Truth out added.

There are also political connections between Solamere and the Romney’s. “Matt Blunt, the former Missouri governor who backed Mr. Romney in 2008, is a senior adviser to Solamere, as is Mitt Romney’s brother, Scott, a lawyer,” according to the New York Times. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/01/us/politics/ties-to-romney-08-hel

Voter ID and voter fraud have been top issues in the 2012 race, as have claims of Republican voter suppression a href=”http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/13082266-2012-elections-fraud-if-you-think-you-cant-win-cheat&gt”>http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/13082266-2012-elections-f…;. Mr. Romney’s campaign has also been the subject of controversy over misleading ads, false claims, sketchy math on his tax plan, and overall vagueness on women’s rights and other hot button issues.

Raising further questions of legitimacy in the Romney campaign is an audio recording recently made public, where Mitt Romney is heard asking independent business owners to apply pressure to their employees http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/17/mitt-romney-employees-voti… to influence their votes. What has also been made public are the emails those employers have sent http://www.salon.com/2012/10/17/plutocrat_bosses_to_employees_vote_

to their employees with an implied threat that if they don’t vote for Romney they may lose their jobs.
What it all says is that Mitt Romney, with the help of his family and Bain Capital connections, is more than willing to try to take the White House through illegitimate and highly unethical, if not specifically illegal means.

With each passing day, the character and campaign methods of Mitt Romney cast an ever-darker shadow over free and fair American elections.
Yet there is an irony in the Romney campaign that cannot be ignored. For all the noise the right-wing has made in questioning the legitimacy of Obama’s presidency, there have been so many questionable efforts made to help put Romney in the White House, if he wins, there should be great dispute over whether his election could ever be called genuinely illegitimate.

The nagging question is why, if Mr. Romney truly has the qualities that American voters want in their president, does he have to go to such great and questionable lengths to try to win the election.

Thank goodness! I thought Obama had our votes counted by a company in Spain, and the Black Panthers and ACORN were registering dead folks and illegals to vote and watching the polls. At least now we will have a more fair chance at this election. After all those liberal cheats have their hands in it, it is good to know we have some control.

      • Robert Smith

What’s “cheating” about ACORN going to the election commission and reporting that it had employees who misbehaved? To me that’s the right thing to do.

But then it’s not the first time I’ve seen the right crucify someone for doing what’s proper.

Benjhazi incident – Hillary Clinton, Fast and Furious – people under Holder to name a few.

You are right Ariviste! Among those things, Obama’s union friends have also tried to penalize their employees if they don’t vote for Obama. (Proven fact, as union workers came out and said so).

Also, thousands of letters have been sent to Florida republican voters telling them they had to re-register in order to vote in the election. I worry that some of these people aren’t aware that this is a hoax, and won’t bother to go to the polls.

In a saner time, your comment would of been easy to ignore, but after observing Oblama and his vacation taking wife for four years, I have come to the realization neither one of them gives a fig about this country. They have used the taxpayers dime to travel and live like kings and queens since almost as soon as they took office. While they have declared themselves loyalty, most of the rest of us have been doing what we can to live a descent life. I am quite sure this is what our forefathers had in mind when they took a bold and almost impossible stand against the mighty England. Having our leaders live like royalty while the rest of us live like peasants. Obama does make some good promises though. And therein lies the problem. So many of this populace are hurting, they are willing to put their trust, and therefore their vote, for the one who can make their solutions sound the best. If these same people would take a minute and look at what Obama has produced, Romney would be a shoe-in.

Actually, I preferred it when he was on vacation, but for the amount we all paid for him to clear brush at the Moron Ranch, we could have employed half of Texas.

“I’m pointing out that the lies of the imperial illegal White House usurper do not matter to you and you refuse to consider any evidence against him. You are trapped in the false left/right paradigm.”

No, I’m saying that just because you don’t like what valid documentation says, that it’s not valid.

EVERYTHING that has been produced has proven that Obama is a natural born citizen, including a ruling by the US Supreme Court that as long as a person is born on US soil they are natural born citizens. No matter what the citizenship of their parents are, unless they are the child of diplomats.

Obama’s birth certificate has been verified repeatedly by the State of Hawaii, including when the State of Arizona asked for verification through the national verification program.

For where he went to college, the colleges has lists of people who attend them every year. Obama is on the Occidental, Columbia and Harvard lists. When Obama was named Editor of the Harvard Law Review, it made national news. And the only name that he used at all of those places was Barack Obama. He did not use the name of his ex-step-father because he was not adopted.

If you want classes and grades, tough luck, you don’t have the right to them. Other than the State of Hawaii verifying his birth, you don’t have the right to his birth certificate until he is 75 years old. That is how long it takes for a vital record in Hawaii to become public.

A few days ago I gave you a website for a pdf file (70 pages) that lists every single lawsuit that is supposed to be about Obama. And what the court results were. For most of those rulings there was a link to see the actual court ruling. Did you go to them?

You tell me that I don’t care about this country because I do not agree with your opinions (which is all they are. they are not based on fact, only wishful thinking). You are the one who does not care about this country because you are letting your bigotry and stubbornness ignore proven facts, and they are getting in the way of your common sense.

The flip flopping you are referring to, is that like among many other things, How Obama flip flops on issues such as marriage. As a senator he was for gay marriage, then in his 08 Campaign he for traditional marriage to get votes, then this past May he flopped back to Gay marriage to get the Gay vote. Is that an example of the kind of flip flopping you are referring too?

For those that have had the benefit of reading the book “The Amateur” by Ed Klein…you’d learn from Jeremiah Wright himself that the Obama’s “weren’t Church people” and that includes the whole time that the Obama’s belonged to Wright’s church. The simple fact is, the way Wright describes it, is Obama used his connection with Wright to further his campaign. You can see that in any light that you choose, but the light I see it in, is he used Wright and his Church just to further his career. All Obama cares about is getting re-elected. And the people that think otherwise are just stupid.

If O holds these meetings with the black pastors, I would like to know what these believe about the Word of God, are they spouting Liberal/Leftist Theology. Getting the blacks to vote for O because they will supposedly will be voting for one of their own color makes them very stupid people.
O is using the Pastors for his own agenda and hopefully the Pastors are wise.

      • Linda

Besides being stupid this attitude is also racist. When you vote for someone because of the color of their skin, this is racism. And what does Romney care about? He will tell anyone anything to win. Is there a single issue on which you are certain where Romney stands? Tracking him is like tracking the location of an electron. It can be expressed only in terms of probability. He now “agrees” with Obama on virtually everything. Gone are all those idiotic positions he took for more than a year to get you right wing morons to nominate him.

      • http://speedle speedle

Jeff, are you out of your mind? You label Romney with the vice of “doing or saying anything to win????” You say that in support of Barack H. Obama, Chicago gangster, master manipulator, the prince of teleprompting, and part time chameleon??? Come on Jeff, give us something a little better than that.

      • Paul Wells

Perhaps Romney hasn’t been long on specifics because he’d like to develop a coalition of legislators and law makers across the aisle. Let’s face it, the problems we have are going to take both parties working together. This is a position you might not understand, since your wonder ‘O’ thinks he doesn’t need anyone outside his tight inner circle of apostates.

One thing I can count on, he’ll try to undo the damage of the last four years of economic drifting, prevarication to the world community on where the U.S. stands, and defending our allies vigorously. Oh, yeah…he likely won’t bow to Saudi princes.

      • http://PersonalLibertyDigest Ariviste

I have no problem understanding where Romney stands on issues. Maybe the problem is with you. My problem is that Obama has no plan except more of the same that has brought our country to its knees. I understand that perfectly and would elect anyone except Obama again. Our country cannot survive another four years of this monster.

      • JeffH

Jeff…do you think Obama will lie and make promises he won’t keep and say anything to anyone just for their vote?

Paul: Your comments on Wright are absolutely correct.
A lot of folks missed Wrights statement: “Obama attended his church to establish his political base in Chicago”.
Further, Obamas rise to power in the Chicago/ Illinois area was not without controversy and marked by dirty and illegal campaign practices. Those of us in the Chicago area that followed Obamas rise to power understand his narcissism and connections to unsavory associates. The unsavory associates along with Obamas Acorn connections are certainly one indicator of Obamas character. Unfortunately, the corrupt mass media and press failed to vet Obama because they wanted to see this man as the first black president.
And thus, America has been saddled with an inexperienced community organizer that is hell bent on “FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGING AMERICA”.

Actually, what I can see is that Wright has one huge axe to grind with Obama. When Obama was elected President, Wright thought that he free rein to pontificate. He didn’t, and Obama told him so. Publicly and without a doubt.

Personally, I wouldn’t trust a word out of his mouth about either Obama’s.

The Marxist Roots of Black Liberation Theology
        http://www.acton.org/pub/commentary/2008/04/02/marxist-roots-black-liberation-theology

Perhaps it is the Marxism imbedded in Obama’s attendance at Trinity Church that should raise red flags. “Economic parity” and “distribution” language implies things like government-coerced wealth redistribution, perpetual minimum wage increases, government subsidized health care for all, and the like. One of the priorities listed on Obama’s campaign website reads, “Obama will protect tax cuts for poor and middle class families, but he will reverse most of the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest taxpayers.”

        • Jeff

Why not say what you really mean – the Marxist influence in the Civil Rights Movement?

What you call “redistribution” is nothing more than the progressive income tax we had when we actually had a middle class. You know, the good old days when Ike was president and marginal tax rates were 90%. So, 39% is hardly confiscatory when most wealthy people have their income well sheltered anyway.

Obama’s Radical-Left Ties Broad And Deep

        http://www.cbsnews.com/2100-215_162-4145761.html
Having now left Trinity United Church of Christ, can Barack Obama escape responsibility for his decades-long ties to Michael Pfleger and Jeremiah Wright? No, he cannot. Obama’s connections to the radical-left politics espoused by Pfleger and Wright are broad and deep. The real reason Obama bound himself to Wright and Pfleger in the first place is that he largely approved of their political-theological outlooks.

      • JeffH

When it comes to the American public attempting to know and understand just who is Barack Obama, his campaign and willing accomplices in the MSM have brought forth the old Stalinist tactic of labeling any disparaging, revealing or, negative narrative as a smear as well as attacking the messenger in order to distract from the message itself.
        http://www.tysknews.com/News/tracking_obama.htm

“I now make it my earnest prayer that God would most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that charity (love), humility, and pacific temper of the mind which were the characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion.”

Remember, the 1980′s in this country saw more money being given to charities ever in out history. People tend to give more when the economy is good. That is why giving to charity is at a low these days. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY! 하나님하고 나라를 위해서!

Then why did Obama have a conference call with black preachers, including Wright, just the other day? Trying to get the black vote, that’s why. He said years ago, that Wright was his friend and mentor (I heard his speech myself). Now he denies all this, and turns his back on his old friend and mentor. What do you think he has and will do to us in the future?

Obama has lied for so many years, he can’t even remember what he’s said. He’s just an opportunistic politician who wants power, and could care less about this country.

It’s been said, that there’s 2 ways to destroy a country…monetarily and militarily. In MY opinion, Obama is doing both. How can you deny this?

        • Jeff

I can deny it because I can see where we were headed in January 2009 and where we’re headed now. We were heading into Depression after 8 years of George W. Hoover. Obama has reversed that and we have been adding jobs in the private sector every month for nearly 3 years. I know you’ll say he hasn’t turned the Republican mess around quickly enough, but if Obama were a Republican, you’d be carving his face on Mt. Rushmore.

          • http://google gary gerke

It always amazes me when people make statements based on partisan rhedoric, nothing more. Evert new president takes a hit from the the previous administration, Bush took a huge hit from Clinton’s Dotcom bubble burst, unemployment was horrible and the economy was down. When is the left going to stop blaming Bush and put the blame where it belongs. Obama’s policies have failed, no budget approved in four years and the wasting of 90Billion dollars on green crap that is not viable at the present time!
Obama can take credit for less than 400,000 new private sector jobs in the last four years….do your own research and learn!!!!!!!

          • Jeff

Bush inherited a surplus and gave the money to his wealthy supporters. He turned surplus to deficit without a word from you right wing morons. “Deficits don’t matter” as long as a Republican is president, right? Like clockwork, you guys start bitching about the deficit you created the minute a Democrat gets elected to clean up you mess.

      • http://tlgeer.wordpress.com tlgeer

        DJ,

Why shouldn’t Obama speak to a group of black ministers? They are voters, too.

Both candidates speak to as many groups as they can.

The fact that those groups have money and influence are the reasons. And they are voters.

        • DJ

To tigeer: I didn’t say Obama shouldn’t speak to a group of black people. I said that he did, including Wright. I was responding to someone else’s comment about Wright’s and Obama’s current relationship, I think.

Anyway, it has nothing to do with Black or White or any ethnicity. And you are right, he Obama, and Romney, have the right to AND should speak to all groups regardless of the color of their skin.

      • sam1966

Jeff, cite a source showing Clintons surplus. The surplus in question was a lie and only a complete fools would believe the surplus nonsense. Bush gave it to the rich? Bush, baaaaa! Surplus, baaaaa! Chaaaaange! Sheesh, I swear you sheeple never quit drinking kool aid, do you? Here is something that is being threatened onto the people by Obama bin Laden and his thugs.

        • Jeff

Whether the Clinton surplus was real or illusory, the economy was in much better shape in 2001 than in 2009. Bush was a moron who believed in tax cuts for the rich above all else. At first, it was because we had a surplus. Then, it was because there was a recession. Republicans like tax cuts for the highest earners because that’s who they work for. You can name call all you want but the truth doesn’t change. BTW: I think your whole religious act is a fraud. No religious person is as insulting as you are nor would he advocate the selfish policies you do.

      • http://naver samurai

Wrong, wrong, wrong Jeff. The economy may have been in better shape in 2001 than 2009, but not because of Clinton. Obama bin Laden has done nothing to improve the current situation either, but has made it worse and longer lasting. We had a recession that started in 1999 – 2000 (Clinton) and we did not fully recover till after 2 Bush tax cuts (across the board) in 2001 and 2003 and a recovery from the 9/11 attacks. If you think otherwise, then it shows that you do not know the facts about these times. Clintons policies were responsible for the tanking of the housing market starting in September 2008. Surplus? Care to cite a source on that? That has been debinked on this site since I came to this site in 2009. Tax cuts for the rich? Ha, ha, ha, ha! Your ignorance is truly laughable. Bush, baaaaa! Tax cuts, baaaaa! The rich, baaaaa! I was an E7 (SFC) in the army at that time and I remember, as I’m sure you do, receiving those 2 checks for $600 a piece from the government after these tax cuts. I was only making aroun $4000 a month at that time, to count my BAQ and BAS. Ergo, the cuts were across the board, so stop wasting our time with your class envy and jealousy of other people’s success.

Do I believe in God and Jesus? Yes, I do. But when people do things that are wrong or stupid, I believe in what the Bible say to rebuke those that do things this way. You tell the truth? Please! They shall study and gather wisod and intelligence and profess to know the truth, but the truth is far from them. With no facts or sources to back up what you say, you’re telling me the truth? Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor. What policies did I mention that would be considered selfish? Earning what you need and no nanny state? Government going by the Constitution, law, morals, ethics, and our Christian founding? Not opening the door for special rights for people who are perverted in their minds and hearts (gays, bis, petifiles, beastial relationships, bigamy, etc)? Tax cuts across the board and deep spending cuts? Speaking of which, if we want the debt to be paid off, we must cut every single entitlement program and get rid of the self destructive welfare state.

Remember what our founders thought about this country and its patriots Jeff.

“The United States of America were no longer colonies. They were an independent nation of Christians.”

            John Quincy Adams

“He who will introduce into PUBLIC AFFAIRS the principles of a primitive Christianity, will change the face of the world.”

            Benjamin Franklin

“History will also afford frequent opportunities of showing the necessity of a PUBLIC RELIGION…and the excellency of the Christian religion above all others, ancient or modern.”

            Benjamin Franklin

“The American population is entirely Christian, and with us Christianity and Religion are identified. It would be strange indeed if with such a people, our institutions did not presuppose Christianity, and did not often refer to it, and exhibit relations with it.”

            John Marshall

“He is the best friend to American liberty who is the most sincere and active in promoting true and undefiled religion, and who sets himself with the greatest firmness to bear down profanity and immorality of every kind. Whoever is an avowed enemy of God (Athiests), I scruple not to call him an enemy to his country.”

            John Witherspoon

James Madison conceived the three branches of our government by inspiration from Isaiah 33:22.

There are just so many ways to prove you wrong Jeff, it would take forever to list them all. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY! 하나님하고 나라를 위해서!

You need both love of country and fear of God to be a patriot. This leaves you and your ilk out.

          • Jeff

Why do you think the Constitution precludes religious tests for public office? The founding fathers set up a system that has endured, but their personal ideas on social issues are more than 200 years out of date. I am sure they would have seen you as sub-human. Does that mean we have to accept all their attitudes about race, ethnicity, and religion? If they believed in capital punishment for minor offenses, are we bound by their beliefs? No more than we stone women for adultery.

          • http://google gary gerke

Your right, however, lately the liberal progressive judges are allowing Sharia law into our court systems. It will only a matter of time before we have a dual justice system which will meld together and become a convoluded mess of gigantic proportions. Staying on the course of appeasing the Muslim population will eventualy lead to civil war in the USA

          • Jeff

Can you cite a case where Sharia Law has been used? And if some state court somewhere enforced a Sharia-like contract between 2 Muslims, how would that have anything to do with Obama or Romney? You know, there are religious courts where, for example Orthodox Jews can agree to have a dispute mediated by a Rabbi. Is that what you’re talking about?

      • http://naver samurai

Here is an example of one Jeff.

        http://www.cbn.com/cbnnews/us/2012/February/Pa-Judges-Ruling-Proof-of-Sharia-Law-in-US-Courts-/

        • Jeff

First, I’m skeptical that the facts are correctly presented because it’s Pat Robertson. But if the facts are accurate and the Judge dropped the charges only because of the religious angle, I say it’s a poor decision. But what would you say if the defendant had been a Christian offended by a non-Christian? I suspect the paragraph about Sharia Law was added by the CBN editorial staff.

The use of Sharia Law would more likely be introduced in a divorce proceeding where the parties agreed to a particularly Muslim style of custody arrangement. Would I approve of such a thing? No, but frankly it’s no different from other religious tribunals that are sometimes empaneled to mediate disputes.

      • sam1966

Here are some more things to prove you wrong about this being a Christian nation.

“I would probably have to say yes, that the Constitution established the United States of America as a Christian nation.”

        John McCain
        BelietNet interview Sept 2007

“I desire to bless and praise the name of God most high fpr appointing me my birth in a land of Gospel Light where the glorious tidings of a Savior and of pardon and salvation through Him have been continually sounding in mine ears.”

        Robert Treat Pine

I like the facts that he calls America a country of Gospel Light. This puts another nail in your coffin Jeff.

“There is no other name under heaven by which a man may be saved. The defects in good works shall not be supplied by a faith in Mahomet, Fo (Buddha), or any other except Christ.”

        Thomas Jefferson
The Works of Thomas Jefferson, Vol II, Pgs. 253-254
        “Notes on Religion” October 1776

“Let us enter on this important business under the idea that we are Christians on whom the eyes of the world are now turned. Let us earnestly call and beseach Him, for Christ’s sake, to preside in our councils. We can only depend on the all powerful influence of the Spirit of God. Whose Divine aid and assistance it becomes us as a Christian people most devoutly to implore. Therefore I move that some minister of the Gospel be requested to attend this Congress every morning …in order to open the meeting with prayer.”

        Elias Boudinot

“The cause of America is in a great measure the cause of all mankind. Where, say some, is the King of America? I’ll tell you, friend, He reigns above.”

        Thomas Paine
        Common Sense 1776

I guess ones that you say are diests, agnostics, or atheists really believed in God and that we are a Christian nation. Poor Jeffy Weffy now has his panties in a bunch, because the big, bad samurai whompped him on the playground. Well boo hoo! The truth hurts, now doesn’t it? Here is one iten that proves your theory about no religious test out of the window. It is stated in the Constitution, but it is not the way you perceive it to be.

        http://www.wallbuilders.com/LIBissuesArticles.asp?id=22348

This document, signed by Samuel Chase on February 01, 1794. This document is Chase certifying Bernard Lafon’s “Declaration of his belief in the Christian religion and the Oath required by the Act of Assembly of this State entitled ‘An Act of Naturalization.’” This goes against the religious test and your warped beliefs of separation of church and state, which there is no such thing mentioned in the Constitution, nor is it Constitutional Law.

“The Hand of Providence has been so conspicuous in all this that He must be worse than the infidel that lacks faith, and more than wicked, that has not gratitude enough to acknowledge His obligations.”

        George Washington

“You do well to wish to learn our arts and our ways of life, and above all, the religion of Jesus Christ. Congress will do everything they can to assist you in this wise intention.”

        George Washington

He says that Congress will help you learn about Jesus and Christianity, so where is the religious test or separation of church and state? Need to study more before you post.

“The laws of nature are the laws of God, whose authority can be superceded by no power on earth.”

        George Mason
Father of the Bill of Rights

This even counts lib/prog/secular/atheists! FOR GOD AND COUNTRY! 하나님하고 나라를 위해서!

You need both love of country and fear of God to be a patriot. This leaves you and your ilk out of the picture.

        • Jeff

Like most sane people in the world, I have no idea what the HELL you’re talking about, but here’s the operative portion of the Constitution:

          Article. VI.

All Debts contracted and Engagements entered into, before the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be as valid against the United States under this Constitution, as under the Confederation.

This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

You’ll notice the “no religious test” language in paragraph 3. As for the rest of your superstitious nonsense, why not file a lawsuit in Federal Court and try to have Obama declared an illegitimate President because he’s not your kind of Christian. It’d probably be the Judge’s best laugh of the week.

          • sam1966

Jeff, the idea of a religious would be, for example, a person is elected and procedes to Washington. Before he/she could take office and swear in, he/she is sat down at a table with 3 other people across from them. One of them pulls out a Bible and begins asking questions about the scriptures and expects you to have the correct answer. Maybe they have you recite the 10 Commandments or do something else. These would be examples, though primitive examples, of a religious test. I see you did not look at the source I gave you. The person in question had to swear they were a Christian before being able to sit the bench. Sheesh! You just can’t understand anything truthful brough before you. All the quotes and my meaning behind them you also have failed to understand. They were to prove that not only do these people say our country is a Christian nation, but the institutions mentioned in them are also to be Christian, help with learning Christianity, or are to go by Christian/Biblical principles. If you can’t understand this by now, then you are not worth answering. But alas! You will still post your lies, rhetoric, and innuendos on this site. Though I agree with the wording of the Constitution you have posted, but you still have no knowledge of what a religious test is. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY! 하나님하고 나라를 위해서!

You need both love of country and fear of God to be a patriot.

          • Jeff

What you’re proposing is still a religious test. So we could never have a Jewish president unless he agreed to your interpretation of scripture? What an All-American idea. You could be our Samurai Pope, like John Belushi.

          • sam1966

What I have cited before were just mere examples of tests, but the source I gave you is fact and there is no way you can prove it wrong. That is also a good thing about Christian beliefs is that they never go out of style. God, Jesus, and the Bible are the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Unlike you atheists which seem to constantly change like the wind. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY! 하나님하고 나라를 위해서!

You need both love of country and fear of God to be a patriot.

        • Jeff

Sam, you’ve never told us. What was your drug of choice before Jesus?

          • sam1966

Surely even you are aware of the natural progression from alcohol to cocaine to heroin to methadone to Jesus. The one constant: addiction.

          • sam1966

Well Jeff, here is an in class assignment written by one of my students. I gave them 25 minutes to write about what they thought about America. Here is what she had to say.

            Here’s to you, America,
You’ve stood the test of time.
            Although there were obstacles
            And many hills to climb.
            Here’s to you, America,
            One nation under God!
You stayed the course and boldly walked
            The path the pilgrims trod.
            Here’s to you, America,
            Old Glory waving high;
We pledge alligiance to you yet
For the brave still “Do or Die!”
And the Lady in the Harbor
            Still stands at freedom’s door
And lifts her torch to light the way
            For the masses evermore.
            Here’s to you, America,
            The battle rages on
For we are one nation under God
            And no one stands alone.
Our Father’s faith abides in us
And God still lights the way.
            Here’s to you, America…
            God bless the U.S.A!

Her name is Tanisha Grimes. She is very smart and has the highest grades in my class. She also says that she wants to go to IU Bloomington and study religion and history. I told her that if she continues to believe the true history of this country, she’ll be a great teacher. Unlike you and your ilk Jeff that are trying to rewrite our history. FOR GOD AND COUNTRY! 하나님하고 나라를 위해서!

You need both love of country and fear of God to be a patriot.

          • Jeff

It’s fine to have faith but presumably you’re teaching history and not religion? Is Tanisha aware of the real history of immigration and that Lady Liberty wasn’t always so welcoming to non-European immigrants? And is she aware that immigrants were not always welcomed with open arms? You give no indication of the age of your students. It’s one thing for little kids to believe in the virtual deification of the founding fathers; it’s another entirely in high school.

Do you also teach that Democrats are all traitors because they disagree with the Samurai? Is this a public school or a religious one?

          • Jeff

That sounds like something from a 12 step program. N.A. perhaps? Switched the addiction from smack to Jesus? I definitely approve. Your addiction to Jesus won’t compel you to kill yourself or to break into my house, but it’s still an addiction. If you are incapable of thinking about anything without resorting to “Jesus talk,” you’re an addict.

      • sam1966

Here is Jeffy again with his begative comments about this country, not a sign of patriotism. Though what you say could or could not be true, you should keep your negativity to yourself. The student in questio is a Junior at our school, it is a public school. I see you have forgotten about our God-given rights of speech and religion as are written in the 1st Amendment of the Constitution. But alas! You and your ilk will use it to destroy this great country from the inside-out.
Just think, it took her 25 minutes to come up with this in class, I hate to see what she would have said if it were a homework assignment. I guess what Ronald Reagan said about you and your ilk when he said:

“The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, just that they know so much that isn’t so.”

You say that she has crapped on our founding fathers and their beliefs are no fit for today’s society? Care to cite a reliable source on this? Typical atheist rhetoric and lies. If this is true, then we should just throw away the Constitution and start over. FOR GOD AND CCOUNTRY! 하나님하고 나라를 위해서!

You need both love of country and fear of God to be a patriot. This leaves you out.

        • Jeff

I feel sorry for your students. They have a juvenile idiot for a teacher.

          • sam1966

That could also be said about Romney “that he only cares about himself”. There is not a moneyed deal he didn’t engage in no mater how many workers were laid off and jobs sent to other nations. He pilfered too many companies to count and made out like the bandit he is. Without Wall Street shenanigans backing him up in his dubious deals there would have been hollowing mobs with pitchforks ready to take him down. America doesn’t like petty thieves but they adore Corporate thievery. Romney helped close down SENCAT Technologies in Freeport Ill. and made “good” money in the process. 131 workers were laid off and the business shipped to China. These workers made $14-17 an hour and the Chinese workers get paid $.99-1.99 an hour. See where he is taking America? That is not the real kicker though. He (Bain and SENCAT) did get a tax break for shipping that business overseas if anyone thinks that is a myth. Not only that he financed the deal by way of the Cayman Islands thus avoiding American taxes. Yes Romney is a win win kind of guy but America becomes the loser.

Gee eddie, still clinging to your “class envy”. You’ve made a lot of accusations based on your Obama media sources and rhetorical talking points…and a ton of conjecture but that’s all you’ve succeeded i doing…repeating what you want to believe without presenting any verifiable sources.

How about your take on the Jeremiah Wright and black preacher denial issue? You do know that Wright and Obama were tight at one time don’t you? Are you aware that Obama used Jeremiah Wright and then abandoned him once he got the 2008 Dem POTUS nomination? Yup, real trustworthy that Obama guy.

      • http://google gary gerke

Eddie, you are truly a troll, It is certain and without a doubt you have no understanding of the tax code. These offshore accounts that almost all of our Congressman have, let alone all of the millionaire in the USA ,this is not a secret, nor is it illegal. The IRS allows these kind of accounts per the tax code, you and I can have one, however, we do not qualify money wise! Educate yourself before making yourself out to be a fool!!!!!!!!

      • Nadzieja Batki

Simply cause and an effect in how O is dealing with the black Pastors. O is not going to set a trap for the Pastors if he is not planning to catch them into following him. Since O has already set the trap for the Pastors he expects to catch them.

Your comparing 131 laid off workers to 23 million unemployed in our nation….did you go to the same school in Kenya that obummer went to and studied “redistribution 101″ ?

Um, If you shop at WalMart, you are enabling Chinese “oppression” every time you go there… Also, try asking those Chinese workers if they would rather not have their job… Geez…

Could you please reference the tax code page & paragraph that he uses for the Chineese deductions, we can not seem to find it!

What’s the matter Jeff a few facts about Romney got under your skin and you go into the usual denial. I have also told you NO ENVY but I know you never listen! We ALL know about Rev Wright for he has been mentioned well over 100 times on this site. So stop being the usual smug little rat’s excrement. It all rolls downhill so you and the Rev can frolic in it all you want.

      • eddie47d

Troll Gary Gerke. Its immaterial if “everyone else does it” especially those in Washington and Wall Street. Grow a back bone and do something about it! Hell pornography is legal too but that doesn’t make it right dufus!

      • eddie47d

That is 131 times how many NICKKIN? How often did they (CEOs) get away with laying the American worker off and then collect millions to do so. All those unemployed came from other companies that pulled the same old tricks. Remember Joe Nacchio,25,000 in one pop. What college did you go to Screwum University?

    See the Light in Everyone
    By Yehuda Berg

One of the best tools to help illuminate the Light inside of ourselves and make the darkness disappear is to seek out the Light in others, especially in people who annoy us, or with whom we may not have the best relationships.

If we look at these people with the intention of finding something good about them – the Light inside them! – we connect with and reveal the Light inside of ourselves. The harder it is to find that Light, the more potential there is for Light to be revealed.
The more Light we see in others, the more we’ll see in ourselves.

    Explaining the Unexplainable

A young man named Joshua once went to the prophet Elijah and said, “Elijah, can I go around with you for just a short time and watch what you do? Would you let me be with you to see how you are creating miracles and interacting with the world?”

To this, Elijah replied, “Yes, you may come with me, but it must be under one condition: Please don’t ask questions. Just observe.”

Joshua agreed, and so the two men set out and travelled to a small town where they found a poor family whose entire livelihood came from one single cow. They sat with the family for a few minutes before, to the family’s and young man’s astonishment, Elijah got up, went outside, and slaughtered the cow before their very eyes! Baffled and confused, Joshua started to doubt and question what Elijah was doing at this poor man’s house. Before he was able to speak up, however, Elijah told him firmly, “Wait a second. I told you no questions.” And with that, the two of them continued on their way.

From the poor family’s home, Elijah and Joshua travelled to a second house. This time, the owner of the house was very wealthy but not at all gracious. In fact, the minute they entered this affluent neighborhood, they were treated by all the residents with disdain and a complete lack of human dignity.

Their unkind host told them, “Since you are here, I will feed you, but go and sit in the servants’ quarters. I will give you bread, water, and salt to eat, not because I want to give them to you, but because I have no choice. I must follow a foolish social custom that demands that I share.”

Soon after they ate, Elijah and Joshua turned to leave. But just as they were walking out, Elijah said to their unpleasant host, “I understand that the walls of your house are crumbling. Therefore, I bless you that the house will be fixed and that you will have in it all that you need.” Sure enough, with this blessing, the house was repaired and the man given everything he could have needed.

Then the two men moved on to the community building that was filled with all the callous people who had snubbed them as they had entered the town. There, to Joshua’s amazement, Elijah blessed each person to be a leader in his or her own right. At this point, the young man was almost irate. He was angry with Elijah for treating this mean man and unfriendly community with such kindness and care. He didn’t understand how the kabbalist could bless a group of people filled with so much ego and pride. Nevertheless, he knew he had promised not to ask questions, so he kept his promise and followed Elijah to their next destination.

The third place they visited was a modest community filled with kind and wonderful people. These people accepted and served Elijah and Joshua with honor. When the time came for the two men to leave, Elijah turned to the head of the community and said, “I bless you that you shall have only one leader.” Upon hearing this, Joshua could no longer contain his confusion and frustration and decided that it was time to speak up. He wanted to know why Elijah was giving all these blessings that didn’t seem to make sense, so he said, “Elijah, listen. I am going home; I just can’t take this anymore. I don’t understand what is going on here. Please, explain it to me.”

“Fine,” sighed Elijah. “I will share with you what really happened. When we entered the first home, it had been preordained that the man of the house would lose his wife that day, but when I slaughtered the cow, it annulled the decree. In the next community, there was a fortune hidden under the wealthy man’s house, and had he dug for it, he would have gained even more wealth and power. So I repaired the house so that he wouldn’t look. As for the other residents of the community, my blessing on them was that everyone should be a leader, but do you know what happens when you have a community of all leaders and no followers? You have no community at all; it tears itself apart. In the final town we visited, I wished the townsfolk harmony, unity, love, and strength. I blessed them that they would have only one leader and that this one leader would be the Creator Who is inside all of us.”

Embarrassed at his inability to connect to this bigger picture, Joshua now understood why everything had happened the way it did.

The point of this story is that we often see good, strong, wonderful people going through terrible times, and we don’t understand why because our vision is limited to what we observe with our eyes,
it is only when we can connect with the bigger picture that we can understand that even the most difficult and painful things we all go through our in lives are there for our highest good and to help us attain another level in our spiritual growth.

    • Nadzieja Batki

I get the story, but since you already decided that you should vote for O that supposedly the greater good should come about you must have instructions directly from God’s mouth to your ears. That Ms. Young is a load of Pious B S.

      • eddie47d

What the word of God isn’t sacred? A wise man will search out all aspects of life in dealing with his brethren. A fool will close his mind and won’t search beyond himself thus his sight is narrow.

      • Ms.Young

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.
        I’m overwhelmed with sorrow!
sunk in a swamp of despair!
I’m like someone who goes to the garden
to pick cabbages and carrots and corn
        And returns empty-handed,
finds nothing for soup or sandwich or salad.
There’s not a decent person in sight.
        Right-living humans are extinct.
They’re all out for one another’s blood,
        animals preying on each other.
They’ve all become experts in evil.
        Corrupt leaders demand bribes.
        The powerful rich
make sure they get what they want.
The best and brightest are thistles.
The top of the line is crabgrass.
But no longer: It’s exam time.
Look at them slinking away in disgrace!
        Don’t trust your neighbor,
        don’t confide in your friend.
        Watch your words,
        even with your spouse.
Neighborhoods and families are falling to pieces.
The closer they are—sons, daughters, in-laws—
        The worse they can be.
Your own family is the enemy.
        Rejecting God as the President?
When Samuel heard the people demand—“Give us a king to rule us!”—he was crushed. How awful! Samuel prayed to God.
So Samuel told them, delivered God’s warning to the people who were asking him to give them a king. He said, “This is the way the kind of king you’re talking about operates. He’ll take your sons and make soldiers of them—chariotry, cavalry, infantry, regimented in battalions and squadrons. He’ll put some to forced labor on his farms, plowing and harvesting, and others to making either weapons of war or chariots in which he can ride in luxury. He’ll put your daughters to work as beauticians and waitresses and cooks. He’ll conscript your best fields, vineyards, and orchards and hand them over to his special friends. He’ll tax your harvests and vintage to support his extensive bureaucracy. Your prize workers and best animals he’ll take for his own use. He’ll lay a tax on your flocks and you’ll end up no better than slaves. The day will come when you will cry in desperation because of this king you so much want for yourselves. But don’t expect God to answer.”

      • sam1966

Yes, it is true that we are to take refuge in God and Jesus, Ms. Young. I’ll agree with you all the day long on that. I’ll also agree that we cannot have 2 masters.

“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve both God and mammon (Mammon being money, treasure, folly, etc).”

        Mathew 6:24

But for you to believe correctly, then to turn around and say you vote for a liar, muslim, and heretic, like Obama bin Laden shows that you have put aside what it is you have said. It is your government given right (19th Amendment) to vote, but you should vote wisely.

“Providence (God) has given to our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.”

Why is anyone surprised that the story was denied? B. Hussein Obama has proven time and again that he is neither an effective leader, and that he misrepresents the truth without as much as an eye-blink. He has been over his head for four long years, and he has no clue how to lead or govern. We are not Republicans; neither are we Democrats. We pride ourselves in being Independent. But if the Democratic party continues to cling to this devisive man’s coattails and refuses to recognize his grave shortcomings, we have to consider becoming Republicans. The best, and right thing to do for the Democrats in order to keep respect from the Independents is to stand tall and admit Mr. Hussein Obama’s shortcomings. He is an embarrassment to their party, and makes us wonder why we have given them support through the years. The man has literally accomplished nothing, and has failed to deliver on 99% of his promises four years ago. How can any person with that record…(no record)…earn credibiliy with anyone, regardless what party label you wear or moniker you proudly claim. He has no substance. We would hate to be cut from his fabric. Can you imagine his legacy?????

Regardless of who you plan to vote for in this year’s Presidential election, you owe it to yourself to read the following personal information about Mitt Romney.

If you are an Obama voter, you may be surprised at Romney’s background.

There are many things that are not being actively publicized. If you are a Romney voter, you, too, may be surprised — for the same reason as above.
    ————————————————————————
His full Name is: Willard Mitt Romney
He was Born: March 12, 1947 and is 65 years old.
His Father: George W. Romney, former Governor of the State of Michigan
He was raised in Bloomfield Hills , Michigan
He is Married to Ann Romney since 1969; they have five children.
    Education:
    B.A. From Brigham Young University
    M.B.A. From Harvard University
Religion: Mormon – The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints
    Working Background:
After high school, he spent 30 months in France as a Mormon missionary.
After going to both Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School simultaneously, he passed the Michigan bar exam, but never worked as an attorney. In 1984, he co-founded Bain Capital — a private equity investment firm, one of the largest such firms in the United States .
In 1994, he ran for Senator of Massachusetts and lost to Ted Kennedy.> >
He was President and CEO of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.
In 2002, he was elected Governor of the State of Massachusetts where he eliminated a 1.5 billion deficit.
    Other facts about Mitt Romney:
Bain Capital, started with one small office supply store in Massachusetts which was turned into Staples — and is now over 2,000 stores employing 90,000 people. Bain Capital also worked to perform the same kinds of business miracles again and again, with companies like Domino’s, Sealy, Brookstone, Weather Channel, Burger King, Warner Music Group, Dollarama, Home Depot Supply, and many others. They were the epitome of successful American business.
He was an unpaid volunteer campaign worker for his dad’s gubernatorial campaign for one year. He was an unpaid intern in his dad’s governor’s office for eight years. He was an unpaid bishop and state president of his church for ten years. He was an unpaid President of the Salt Lake Olympic Committee for three years. He took no salary and was the unpaid Governor of Massachusetts for four years. He gave his entire inheritance from his father to charity.
Mitt Romney is one of the wealthiest self-made men in our country but has given more back to its citizens in terms of money, service and time than most men will ever earn. In 2011 Mitt Romney gave over $4 million to charity, almost 19% of his income …. Just for comparison purposes, Barack Obama gave 1% and Joe Biden gave $300 or .0013%.
    Mitt Romney is Trustworthy:
He has shown us his birth certificate
He has shown us his high school and college transcripts.
He has shown us his social security card.
He has shown us his law degree.
He has shown us his draft notice.
He has shown us his medical records.
He has shown us his income tax records.
He has shown us he has nothing to hide.
Mitt Romney’s background, experience and trustworthiness show him to be a great leader and an excellent citizen. He is a solid candidate for President of the United States.
You may think that Romney is not the best representative the Republicans could have selected. At least I know what religion he is, and that he won’t desecrate the flag, bow down to foreign powers, or practice fiscal irresponsibility. I know he has the ability to turn around the financial debacle that we are currently in. We won’t like all the things that will be necessary to recover from this debt-induced recession, but someone with Romney’s background can do it.
But then again, on the minus side, He never was a “Community Organizer”, never took drugs or smoked pot, never got drunk, did not associate with communists or terrorists, nor did he attend a church whose pastor called for God to damn the United States.
It’s your choice in November. But remember that we’re electing the leader of the free world. Character and moral values really do count.

You don’t have the right to them. WHAT is so hard for you people to understand about this? It’s straight forward and simple. No matter how may times you call for/demand these records you do not have the right to them.

What’s more is that the official holders of those documents have no right to release them to the public.

I don’t know about the illegal alien part Jeff, but he is not a natural born citizen as is a requirement according to the Constitution. If you think Obama bin Laden has done so much for the people, just look at the 18 tax hikes he has force upon us.

        • http://tlgeer.wordpress.com tlgeer

Wrong. That’s just your view, and it’s not a legal view.

The US Supreme Court ruled that as long as a person was born on US soil, and were not the child of diplomats, that they were natural born citizens. Then they proceeded to deport that person. Illegally.

You cannot just make up your own laws, or your own definition of laws. Unless you are a judge, and have the right to determine if a challenged law is Constitutional or not. You, quite clearly, are not. Neither am I, but it’s not hard to look up what the rulings over the years have been.

          • Jeff

I think the whole Sam/Samurai/WifeOf clan lives on what Jon Stewart refers to as [expletive deleted] Mountain. they could just file a lawsuit if it’s so clear that Obama is not a natural born citizen, but they’s rather moan on a blog. Which cases?

          • Jeff

Tell Samurai that’s absolutely untrue. We’ve already seen all their cases and none say that. There was one that had some dicta to that effect but it was not a holding. If the case law is so clear, why has no court permitted a case of this nature to survive a motion to dismiss?

          • Jeff

JeffH was the prime purveyor of this nonsense. Here’s a good refutation by someone who actually knew something:

            ehancock says:
            June 10, 2012 at 3:05 pm
It is you who have a comprehension problem.

Here are the actual words of the Wong Kim Ark ruling:

“It thus clearly appears that, by the law of England for the last three centuries, beginning before the settlement of this country and continuing to the present day, aliens, while residing in the dominions possessed by the Crown of England, were within the allegiance, the obedience, the faith or loyalty, the protection, the power, the jurisdiction of the English Sovereign, and therefore every child born in England of alien parents was a natural-born subject unless the child of an ambassador or other diplomatic agent of a foreign State or of an alien enemy in hostile occupation of the place where the child was born.

III. The same rule was in force in all the English Colonies upon this continent down to the time of the Declaration of Independence, and in the United States afterwards, and continued to prevail under the Constitution as originally established.”

That clearly says that the meaning of Natural Born Citizen comes from the common law (hence, not from Vattel), and that it refers to the place of birth (hence, not the parents). And it says that the same rule applied in England, and in the American colonies and in the early states, AND under the U.S. Constitution.

            That is why Meese said:

“Under the longstanding English common-law principle of jus soli, persons born within the territory of the sovereign (other than children of enemy aliens or foreign diplomats) are citizens from birth. Thus, those persons born within the United States are “natural born citizens” and eligible to be President. Much less certain, however, is whether children born abroad of United States citizens are “natural born citizens” eligible to serve as President …”—- Edwin Meese, et al, THE HERITAGE GUIDE TO THE CONSTITUTION (2005) [Edwin Meese was Ronald Reagan’s attorney general, and the Heritage Foundation is a well-known Conservative organization.]

            For further reference:

            http://naturalborncitizenshipresearch.blogspot.com/

Then, there’s the case they always like to cite, Minor v. Happersett. Here’s the same writer showing why this case doesn’t support the argument either:

Re: “MINOR V. HAPPERSETT IS BINDING PRECEDENT AS TO THE CONSTITUTIONAL DEFINITION OF A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN. US SUPREME COURT PRECEDENT STATES THAT OBAMA IS NOT ELIGIBLE TO BE PRESIDENT.”

But it isn’t binding precedent. It is dicta. Look up dicta.

Moreover, it does not even say that two citizen parents are required. All that it says is that there was never a doubt that if you were born in the USA and had two citizen parents you were without question a Natural Born Citizen.

But that DOES NOT say that two citizen parents are required. An analogy would be: “It was never doubted that if you wore both suspenders and a belt you would hold your pants up.” That does not say that both suspenders and a belt are required.

And, guess what, the Wong Kim Ark case was after the Minor vs Happersett case, so if Minor vs Happersett really were a ruling, and not dicta, the Wong Kim Ark case would have overturned it, and the Wong Kim Ark case ruled (six to two, one not voting) that EVERY child born in the USA except for the children of foreign diplomats is NATURAL BORN.

For more information on the Minor vs Happersett ruling see:

Here’s more about this nonsensical argument:

            JeffH says:
            June 10, 2012 at 10:27 pm
Again ehancock, your arguement is non sequilur.

The US Supreme Court did not hold that the Constitution granted voting rights to men while denying such rights to women. The Court in Minor held that the Constitution did not grant anybody a right to vote, man or woman.

But in doing so, the US Supreme Court first had to determine if Mrs. Minor was a US citizen. The Court’s holding states that she was a US citizen because she was born in the US to parents who were citizens.

The Court in Minor did make a direct holding that Mrs. Minor was, in fact, a US citizen. The Court established her citizenship by definining the “class” of “natural-born citizens” as those born in the US to parents who were citizens. Then the Court included Virginia Minor in that class thereby deeming her to be a US citizen.

Thus, Minor v. Happersett did set precedent by defining the “class” of “natural born citizen” as those born in the US to PARENTS(plural) who were citizens.

That you refuse to accept that is your error, not mine.

            Jeff says:
            June 10, 2012 at 11:31 pm
You are wrong. The case simply decided that the 14th amendment did not invalidate a state statute limiting voting to men. Her citizenship, while assumed due to her birth in the U.S. and the citizenship of her parents, was not an issue in the case. Thus, while the Court stated in dictum that she was clearly a citizen, it clearly did not say that only if both parents are citizens is the child born here a citizen.

            Jeff says:
            June 11, 2012 at 12:24 am
“The Constitution does not in words say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that. At common law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners. Some authorities go further and include as citizens children born within the jurisdiction without reference to the citizenship of their parents. As to this class there have been doubts, but never as to the first. For the purposes of this case, it is not necessary to solve these doubts. It is sufficient for everything we have now to consider that all children born of citizen parents within the jurisdiction are themselves citizens.” Minor v. Happersett, 88 U.S. 162 at 167-168 (1874)

The Court acknowledged a difference of opinion concerning the necessity of the parents to be citizens but said, very clearly and in English: “For purposes of this case, it is not necessary to solve these doubts.” They were saying she’s a citizen; she just can’t vote. They DID NOT say, even in dictum, that it was necessary for both her parents to be citizens in order for her to be a natural born citizen.

I know you’re probably just following orders but really, use some sense in making your arguments.

            ehancock says:
            June 11, 2012 at 6:27 am
JeffH said: “The Court’s holding states that she was a US citizen because she was born in the US to parents who were citizens.”

We are in agreement that the court held that she, Minor, was a US citizen. The court did not hold that both US parents or birth in the USA was required. It did not say that both were required to be a US citizen or that both were required to be a Natural Born Citizen. It merely said that if you had both then you were without doubt a Natural Born Citizen.

But that does not say whether or not one of the two might be sufficient.

For example. If I say: “It was never doubted that in a building with both an elevator and stairs people could get from the first floor to higher floors,” that does not mean that both required. You can get from lower floors to higher floors using only stairs or using only the elevator.

If the statement had said: “Both are required,” that would be different. But it doesn’t.

So you are deceiving yourself and others that the Minor vs Happersett ruling said that both are REQUIRED.

And, in fact, the Minor vs Happersett decision is not even considered to be a ruling on this matter. It is a sentence about NBC status in a voting rights case. It is not, unlike the Wong Kim Ark decision, part of an extensive discussion of what the common law means. It is what lawyers call “dicta.” And, if it were a ruling, not dicta, the Wong Kim Ark decision was after it and hence would have overturned it.

In any case, you are deceiving yourself that the statement that it was never doubted that the children of US citizens born in the USA are Natural Born Citizens requires BOTH birth in the USA and two US parents. It may simply require one of those two criteria. And, as JeffH has pointed out, the ruling then goes on to say that it does not have to decide which of the two criteria apply. It is therefore not a ruling.

And it does not say that both are required any more than the statement that “It was never doubted that in a building with stairs and an elevator people would be able to get from lower floors to higher floors” is a statement that both stairs and an elevator are REQUIRED.

      • http://naver samurai

Wrong, wrong, wrong tlgeer and Jeff. The SCOTUS has ruled, not dicta, 4 times about this. I remember reading in the Bible, “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.” God is right as you 2 should stop lying on this site. The four cases that ruled a natural born citizen is born of parents who are citizens of that country are:

        The Venus 12, U.S. 8 Cranch 253 253 (1814)
        Shanks vs. Dupont, 28 U.S. 3 Pet 242 242 (1830)
        Minor vs. Happersett, 88 U.S. 162 (1875)
        U.S. vs. Kim Wong Ark, 169 U.S. 649 (1898)

Since one of you mentioned the book “The Law of Nations” are still wrong.

“The natives. or natural born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens.”

Can’t believe the Repubs are still dragging out this tired old, been-there/done-that, yesterday’s news story. Whatever influence the Rev. Wright had or has on Obama, it has done zero to affect his policy. Obama continues his relentless drone attacks on radical Muslims, continues the war in Afghanistan against Al Qaeda and the Taliban, and continues his aggressive FBI and CIA domestic campaign against radical Muslims (see the recent arrest of the Muslim youth who wanted to blow up the Federal Reserve Building – also a Libertarian wet dream, by the way). And Obama has done absolutely zero in taking away any American’s Constitutionally-protected religious rights. It’s just another pathetic fairy tale that plays to the fraidy-cat crowd in their United States of Fear, Hate, and Paranoia.

It seems to me the article isn’t about any influence Jeremiah Wright does or does not have on obama. Rather, the article is about obama trying to use the black preachers of whom rev. Wright happens to be the most prominent to influence the election. .

What is it that makes Obama unworthy to be president? Among many things, is his neglect to meet with the PM of Israel when asked to. Instead, he was partying with JZ and Byonce, and on David Letterman. Surely, you saw that! He hasn’t met with his security advisers or budget committee in a year! The man simply thought campaigning was more important than running our country! He actually said, he was too busy!
How many czars has he appointed? He just lets his appointees run the country, and blames them, and anyone but himself, if something goes wrong. I won’t even get into the race card he plays (he is half white you know, but doesn’t ever share that part), and the class warfare he’s started…well, it all comes down to he has divided this country instead of uniting us. Reading yours and other comments proves it!

You know, I keep seeing people repeating this inane question. And no matter how many times it is explained to them, the facts just don’t stick to them. Is it because they don’t want it to? They would rather believe these lies to facts. That, BTW, is disgusting.

These so-callled “Czars” are non-Congressional approved positions. They do not have to be approved by Congress or by voters. What they are is Heads of Departments that have long names, so the press and the Administrations just started calling them “Czars” to invoke some humor and not have to repeat the whole Department name.

It did not start with Obama. And that is a FACT is quite easily researched.

Just wanted to reply to Jeff and Tag about discussion of Romney protests, etc.

Romney was not drafted, nor did he enlist in the armed forces. He obtained legal deferments…3-were student deferments and 1-for ministry, while doing Mormon missionary work in France. When the deferments ended, his birth date was drawn at #300 in the service lottery and the highest # called, for that group, was 195. He was not a draft dodger.

Unfortunately,Jeff is looking for any reason on earth to falidate his dislike of Romney to actually degrading and denigrating the mans reputation and to try to turn voters against Romney and misdirect them to obummer. Tigeer, thanks for the definition of czar. However, you didn’t respond to the rest of my comment. I’ve noticed that some people choose one thing out of a comment to make a point of their superiority and to belittle the person making the comment. You can make a point without being condescending and rude. Now THAT is disgusting! However, I have also noticed that that is just another Obama tactic. Ah, but now I’m being rude, for which I reluctantly apologize for.

Being that as it may, this administration has formed more pencil and paper pushing departments “with long names that don’t have to be approved by congress”, than any other before it, outweighing those in private sector. He has created jobs, but by building more government positions. In MY humble opinion, this is more oversight, bigger government, and blatant wasteful spending. And while this admin. has provided these very useless jobs, they have taken away civilian military base positions. Those very positions hire higher educated men and women who actually “work” and protect you and me from harm’s way. We are extremely grateful and fortunate, that my husband still has his job.

Our military men and women’s retirement are being squashed (I know because my husband is retired AF), and our government civilians (not a part of the Washington admin.) haven’t had a raise in 3 years, and taxes have shot up. (I know this, because my husband is a gov. civilian employee).

One of the benefits (health insurance), that was supposed to be guaranteed to veterans, has become minimum quality care, at best. And the cost of that insurance, has tripled during this admin. And yes, we do have to pay premiums just like everyone else. Also, our base pharmacies do not carry all prescriptions, therefore, we have to pay huge co-pays for those scripts at local pharmacies. There are also many health services that our base hospitals can’t cover, and those have to be referred to civilian health care providers, which we all know will cost an arm and a leg out-of-pocket dollars. There simply aren’t enough doctors and staff too, to care for all our veterans. And, a large majority of our veterans can’t afford extra insurance premiums for additional private insurance.

The taxes on medicare, despite Obama’s denials, have increased 2 fold, and his admin. has not improved the services provided or added any more preventive screenings, as he has claimed. (I know, because I am disabled.), not to mention the out-of-pocket expenses for procedures and prescriptions that Medicare doesn’t cover.

More over, more and more doctors are refusing to accept Medicaid.

I could go on and on, but by now, I’m sure you have already gotten bored and stopped reading “facts”, as lived by a middle-income family, that Obama has sworn he would protect. Have you checked your taxes, wages, insurance premiums, etc. lately, or at all? Do you buy groceries, clothes, have a mortgage? Do you not see where this is going? And you think republicans are stupid. BTW, I’m an Independent!

“I’ve noticed that some people choose one thing out of a comment to make a point of their superiority and to belittle the person making the comment.”

If you will notice the posts that those people are replying to are long. And bring up many points. Choosing only one or two makes sense. And it is not to make a point of superiority (where did that come from?).

I agree with you wholeheartedly about the way our veterans are treated. As for current personnel, my Nephew in the Navy doesn’t have any complaints and he has been in since was 18. He is now 30. But I can’t speak for anyone else.

I, too, am disabled, but I haven’t seen any decrease in healthcare. Maybe it’s because my income is so low that I am on Medicare, too.

I’m sorry that you are having such a bad time finding help. Have you looked online at Medicare.gov to see what plans are available to you? I’ve found it quite useful.

As for routine check-ups and tests, the Drs and Hospitals that I go to don’t have a problem with doing them, and I don’t get charged for them.
