Not One Vote For Obama’s Budget Plan

April 6, 2012 by

Congress finally agrees on something. Since no Democrat was willing to submit President Barack Obama’s latest budget to the House, Representative Mick Mulvaney (R-S.C.) decided to do it for them. He sponsored an alternative budget proposal based on Obama’s budget plan. What happened? Not a single legislator voted for it! That’s right, no one on either side of the aisle would say “aye.” The measure got a bipartisan rejection: 0-414.

Did they teach him this at Harvard? Earlier this week, President Barack Obama declared, “Ultimately I’m confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress.” Of course, Obamacare wasn’t passed by a “strong majority.” The actual vote was 60-39 in the Senate and 219-212 in the House. And as a guy who taught Constitutional law, Obama should certainly be aware that the Supreme Court has frequently overturned legislation that passed with much greater support. If he’s trying to influence members of the Court, I don’t think this kind of outrageous exaggeration is the way to do it.

Another reason to repeal Obamacare. The Internal Revenue Service says it will need 4,000 more agents and a budget increase of $300 million to enforce all the provisions in Obamacare. Is this what the Democrats meant when they said the bill would create thousands of new jobs?

Can Keith Olbermann get along with anybody? I was amused to see that one of my least favorite TV talking heads has been booted from another job. It seems that Current TV co-founders Al Gore and Joel Hyatt got tired of Olbermann’s endless griping and gave him the boot. Among Olbermann’s many complaints was that his limo drivers talked too much. A network insider told the New York Post that during his 14 months at Current, Olbermann “went through” eight limousine services. Picky, picky, picky.

Good for Mulvaney. See, there’s the “bi-partisan” participation that we need.

I want all to see this article. I am saving it and will replay to all of my email group close to election time as there are some dyed in the wool democrats there., that is of course if we get to have an election and the “King” has not declared martial law.

Subject: Brutal week for Obama for Obama, the worst of his presidency

      By Charles Hurt

      Thursday, March 29, 2012

The past seven brutal days will go down as one of the worst weeks in history for a sitting president. It certainly has been, without any doubt, the worst week yet for President Obama. Somehow, Mr. Obama managed to embarrass himself abroad, humiliate himself here at home, see his credentials for being elected so severely undermined that it raises startling questions about whether he should have been elected in the first place — let alone be re-elected later this year.

      Consider:

      • Last Friday, Mr. Obama wandered into the killing of Trayvon Martin. Aided by his ignorance of the situation, knee-jerk prejudices and tendency toward racial profiling, Mr. Obama played a heavy hand in elevating a tragic situation in which a teenager was killed into a full-blown hot race fight. Americans, he admonished, need to do some “soul-searching.” And then, utterly inexplicably, he veered off into this bizarre tangent about how he and the poor dead kid look so much alike they could be father and son. It was election-year race-pandering gone horribly wrong.

      • By the start of this week, Mr. Obama had fled town and was racing to the other side of the planet just as the Supreme Court was taking up the potentially-embarrassing matter of Obamacare. While in South Korea he was caught on a hiddenmic negotiating with the president of our longest-standing rival on how to sell America and her allies down the river once he gets past the next election.

      • Meanwhile, back at home, the Supreme Court took up the single most important achievement of Mr. Obama’s presidency and, boy, was it embarrassing. The great constitutional law professor, it turns out, may not quite be the wizard he told us he was. By most accounts, Mr. Obama and his stuttering lawyers were all but laughed out of the courthouse. They were even stumbling over softball questions lobbed by Mr. Obama’s own hand-picked justices.

      • Mr. Obama closed his week pulling off a nearly unimaginable feat: He managed to totally and completely unify the nastily-fighting Democrats and Republicans in Congress. Late Wednesday night, they unanimously voted — 414 to zip — to reject the budget Mr. Obama had presented, leaving him not even a thin lily’s blade to hide behind.

So, in one week, Mr. Obama got caught whispering promises to our enemy, incited a race war, raised serious questions about his understanding of the Constitution, and then got smacked down over his proposed budget that was so wildly reckless that even Democrats in Congress could not support it.

It was as if you lumped Hurricane Katrina and the Abu Ghraib abuses into one week for George W. Bush. And added on top of that the time he oddly groped German Chancellor Angela Merkel and got caught cursing on a hot mic.

Even then, it wouldn’t be as bad as Mr. Obama’s week. You would probably also have to toss in the time Mr. Bush’s father threw up into the lap of Japan ‘s prime minister. Only then might we be approaching how bad a week it was for Mr. Obama.

Not that you will see any trace of embarrassment in the face of Mr. Obama. He has mastered the high political art of shamelessness, wearing it smugly and cockily. Kind of like a hoodie.

bwahahaha…that’s the best laugh I’ve had today…..a major FAIL when the Bombster’s
    true intent is revealed.

This is Funny…. At the lower right corner of this webpage, is a link to a “poll” for “Obama for America”; where you are supposed to indicate whether OR NOT you will support Obama-Biden in 2012. The link shows a lovely “family-style” picture of the Narcissist-in-chief with his family and a button on the bottom that says “Are you in?”.

I clicked on it intending to answer… “No” — I’m NOT in. One would think, that if they are really “polling” for public sentiment on this administration’s ‘re-electability”, they would want to know how many people would say “no”, versus how many would say “yes”…….only…… there is no provision to say “no”.

When you click on the link, it comes back with a singular choice of “Yes – I’m in”, and then asks for your email address and zip code.

Evidence yet again, that the Obama campaign and administration couldn’t care less about the people in this country (the majority in fact), that object to his Marxist-Socialist policies. They engage in nothing but mutual admiration activities solely with people who agree with their leftist doctrine, and they actively remain deaf and blind to any opposing ideas, or discussion around logical common sense discourse . It’s his way….or the highway. This charlatan — that has never actually held a real job in his life —- flies around on a private 747 at the taxpayer’s expense, enacting legislation that is solely intended to eradicate all individual property rights, and to further enslave the population to perpetual debt. He and his ILK must go. It is OUTRAGEOUS, that this know-nothing traitor to the Constitution got into any elected seat of government in the first place. I wouldn’t hire this economically-illiterate pinhead to clean my house; for fear of what he’d steal in the process.

Neither do any of the other Socialists on this planet give the option of exercising any deviancy of opinion – as in Islam, you’re in or you’re out – permanently!!

  • Ted Crawford

I find it laughable that the guy who lambasts Paul Ryans budget proposals, one after having personally invited him to a front row seat at the STOU, Hasn’t emassed a SINGLE vote for either of the two budgets he created!
He’s been successful at keeping Ryans’ or for that matter, anyone elses budgets from even getting to the floor of the Senate, using his Senate clown, Ole Harry Reid, you know, the guy that thinks it would be allright with us for the TSA Agent to ” Grab our junk “, as long as he does it with a smile!

  • s c

There is a side to this budget story that most people will miss. And that is because public education is such a monumental FAILURE that its effects are nation-wide. The 0-414 vote is NOT proof that Congress isn’t doing its job. What readers MUST see is the FACT that Congress now has PROOF that The Back-stabbing, Freedom-hating Putzoid in the White House isn’t doing HIS job and has NO plans to do his job – EVER.
Now try and find as many as 5 people out of 10 who can understand this point and are so outraged that they will REJECT Obummer and vote him OUT of office.

Would that more of us would make the connection!!

  • OneDamnAngryAmerican

Whoo-Hoo! Aren’t we having fun? Here’s four more “D” tickets. I want to ride this one, again! I can’t wait for the election results come this November. 5 votes for barry. He, his wife, his live-in mother-in-law, and his illegal aunt and uncle. Whoo-Hoo! Har-Har!

    • GiveMeLiberty

I’m certain your joking with the 5 votes but he’s probably counting on at least 6 (don’t forget bulldog Joe Biden, keeper of the stimulus checkbook) will vote for Barry too. That said, Barry did go to school (somewhere) and should know simple math. He should, therefore understand 6 votes just won’t get it done. Though I like that result, I remain pessimistic of anybody beating Barry. Especially now as THEY stand ready to lift Romney into the ring.

In 08 the progressive, old, balding, handicapped, “friends with both sides of the aisle”, chalky white dude couldn’t win, what makes us think the new progressive rich boy, who has a monster chip on his shoulder, with zero understanding of real Americans, white but no so chalky, and really does love BIG government has a chance now???

It’s no longer God Bless America, it’s God Save America.

  • C. Stanley

Obama’s budget loses 414 to zero. This is a guy who is right on top of economic issues.Obama is a joke! He knows nothing about economics, except he wants all economic decisions in government hands. This clown has to be defeated in Nov. or our children have no future!

  • Tess

I find it very strange that no Democrat was willing to submit President Barack Obama’s latest budget to the House. If the budget was any good it would have passed on its own merit (value). However, I feel, most saw it as mediocre.

Isn’t there a law that states we are supposed to have a budget EVERY Year? Were are the budgets from Obama’s Administration?

No budgets but AS of January 2012 Obama requested FIVE increases in the debt ceiling since he entered office in January 2009.

  • GALT

I was under the impression that the Constitution placed the legal or lawful responsibility for the Budget with the House of Representatives? Did I miss an amendment….or is this whole “unconstitutional mantra” just for parts you like, think you like, think you understand, or actually understand?

    • GiveMeLiberty

Galt, you make a valid point but apparently you watch MSNBC or you’d get the rest of the story.

The House did propose a budget, a very sound one I might add, last year and this year! Not sure of the status for this year, but last year The Master Liberal of the Senate refused to even allow it on the floor of the Senate chamber….shame on that clown for being such an extreme idealouge. Therefore, the bill died.

Not sure why but in recent decades, it seems the Executive branch builds the budget and then it gets debated and eventually voted on in the Congress. I suspect it was all part of the obvious disregard of the Consititution since my favorite worst President, Wilson.

      • GALT

Not really an answer to the question…….nor are your comments regarding the sources of my information relevant………from your response however, the problem was that the senate refused to concur with the house’s budget……leaving nothing for the president to sign or veto. So constitutionally we have no problem, unless the lack of a formally signed budget is a problem? Doesn’t seem to be, except for that pesky little debt ceiling thing?

Constitutionally speaking, which may or may not be relevant, what if we had a president
who simply waited for a budget to sign……requiring the house to do it’s job, and the senate to concur………..he would of course KNOW what was in this budget…..and when it got on his desk, he simply crossed out all the stuff he didn’t like and sent it back……..exercising the line item veto power, he doesn’t have……..

Now there are time limits to this process, although I am not sure what they are specifically,
but the threat from this president is……accept, reject, compromise…..or the full veto power
will be exercised. ( this scenario has been brought to you from the mythological land where the word constitutional actually has meaning. )

  • Einstein

Fact: NDAA is treason and destroys the Constitution
Fact: War is expensive and murderous to our own people
Fact: Gingrich supports NDAA and War
Fact: Romney supports NDAA and War
Fact: Santorum supports NDAA and War
Fact: Ron Paul supports the Constitution, opposes NDAA and War
Fact: Our last chance to preserve our Constitution and escape global tyrrany is to elect Ron Paul.
Fact: If you don’t vote, THAT is a vote for a continued slide into fascist hell. You have nothing to lose

    • LindyMaeUSA

Einstein: Those of us with a BRAIN to play with have known since the last two (2) elections that RON PAUL is the only TRUE AMERICAN PATRIOT and Constitutionalist who WOULD “DO WHAT HE SAYS HE WOULD” concerning all the illegal, heinous bills and driven-down-our-throats policies and laws that the radical Muslim, anti-American, non-American, Chicago-style thug, liar, cheat, crook and thief who lied and scammed his way into OUR white house has forced us to accept for three (3) God-awful years!

Tragically for America, Ron Paul won’t be allowed to even get near a nomination, let alone his name on the ballot due to the N W O Banksters (i.e. stealth government) voter fraud, rigged election results, either evil or ignorant election delegates and officials, the SLIME Media and many other factors too numerous to mention!!

Actually, considering the past two election attempt failures, I’m very curious as to WHY Dr. Paul is even “in the running” for a third time, considering he’s been kicked to the back of the pack twice before?!?!?

Surely this dear man knows: “He doesn’t have a snowball in Hell chance” of being elected POTUS which will be another disappointment for a true American patriot but: THE END of our beloved Country” for “We, the People!” :-(

      • Tom

LindyMae: You are quite right. But Dr. Paul, is a true patriot, and true Statesman. He will fight for this country’s freedom and constitution until his last dying breath, because he is cut from the same cloth as the truly great men that founded this country. So he will run, and he will continue to run, and he will NEVER QUIT. That is why he is the only TRUE AMERICAN not only as candidate, but as current member of this fundamentally corrupt congress. But he not “the last Jedi”….. in the words of Yoda “there is another”. And Dr. Rand Paul, the distinguished senator from Kentucky is going to be around for good long time. So Dr. Paul “Senior” is fortunately keeping the torch of freedom and liberty burning white-hot; so that folks like you, me, and others who actually have a brain, will continue to do our best to keep stoking those flames. I will vote for Ron Paul, even if I have to write him in during this election. In spite of the election rigging that we all know takes place. When Rand Paul is up to bat; I will be voting for him too. Eventually, continuing to fight the fight and support these Constitutionalists, will eventually reveal for more and more people the insideous fraud that is being perpetuated against all of us; by this fundamentally corrupt government and the thieving banking aristocracy that controls it.

  • Ladd Prier

Could it possibly be that the dumocratic contingent in congress has finally realized that the occupant of the whitehouse is little more than an unrequieted college radical “weatherman” who would like nothing more than to see America fail in fiscal chaos?

  • Ben W.

If Millions Of People in This Country can Balance their budgets each month Why can’t Congress do the same thing ? But then,of course, the first thing one must have to do that , is have some ordinary , everyday common sense.

    • C. Stanley

Obama is the biggest loser in the history of the Presidency. Last year he lost 97-0 in Senate on budget. This year 414-0 in Congress. He doesn’t have a clue. This guy is the most inept president in our history. Who in their right mind would vote for a clown like him? He wants to get 60% of the population not paying income tax. That way the Democrats are in for good! Vote this horror show out in Nov.

    • Tom

Actually, most people in this country do not balance their budgets. Most people in this country live beyond their means; and have been further enabled to do so by unending examples of corrupt legislation implemented by our CORRUPT congress…such as the “home affordability act” as it was called, along with the Dodd-Frank legislation…..both of which among other things conspired to create the housing bubble; which could only happen thanks to the tens of millions of idiots in this country indebting themsevels for their entire lives to finanance houses they could never have afforded in the first place; and then continuing to borrow (through home “equity” loans) on any miniscule PHONEY equity developed (through inflation) as their homes ARTIFICIALLY appreciate (INFLATE) in price (NOT VALUE). Economics is not taught in public schools in this country; so most people are just about as economically ILLITERATE as the charlatan who currently occupies the White House. INFLATION…..and SUPPLY -vs- DEMAND…..ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS and affect prices for different reasons……but INFLATION (which is artificial)…. DISTORTS Supply and Demand (which is natural); and both of which most people in this country have no idea about.

  • ranger hall

Congress dam well knows how to get around the people, We will just see how this budget thing plays out, They always know how to get what they want.
Stand your Ground people,They all be long to the same Club. And we are not members.

  • http://n/a Bob O

I think obama should be impeached immediately, kicked out of this country for life and if his credentials are wrong, he should go straight to jail, life at hard labor. Then I would be proud of MY country once again.

    • http://foxnews robert

bob o, that makes me want to shout !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • http://NONE rmgdnnow

BHO has little interest in improving any aspect of this nation’s well-being. He is in, however, until at least Jan. 19, 2013, so we must oppose his schemes as best we can. Additionally, we have to realize and remember that the Democrat leadership is in this as deeply as BHO, they merely have been hiding behind him and his radical, dangerous actions. His propensity for high-living, like a emperor, gives additional insight into his character and disposition.
