Since Cruz stood up to the wimpy Republicans, the truth is coming out. More and more of our so-called Republicans are turning out to be RINOs or wimps.
McConnell, McCain, Hatch, Graham….the list is getting bigger of those who would sell out their countrymen for their own good.

    • carolchristine

You are right on that. McCain is a Democrat wannabe if there ever was one. I think his daughter has some influence on him because she sure does not come across as a conservative when she talks. I always thought Hatch was a Rino along with Lindsy Grahm who is another wanna be Democrat.

    • Deerinwater

well, Ted Cruz’s efforts could have but one end my friend , the end that you witnessed.

It was Ted Cruz that was paid well to lead this charge , he made enough money to have someone wipe the egg off of his face while everyone wasn’t on the payroll. ~ Don’t be fooled by the showmanship and theatrics, ~Ted Curz ain’t no Ron Paul.

  • Paul Dichiaro

    Sure, she’ll testify eventually.
Then she’ll use Hillary’s classic response – that happened before, so what’s the point of talking about it now?

  • squeeze127

Well now the masks of those RINO’s are coming off. We are now shown that these old timers are more interested in the security of big government than in what’s good for the country. The new government is the same whether you are a “D” or an “R”. The big cave-in by the Boo Hoo and Mitch shows their true colors. Time for these old fogeys to get primaried out! Two Party system with one (same) agenda is the now politics! Wake up America, the Lobbyist with the cash is controlling your Congressman/woman.

  • Alan

The modern Republican party has been nearly totally infiltrated by turncoats. But no, it was Cruz who orchestrated the entire debacle. Yeah, right. McCain and the rest of that cabal are the only ones to blame.

  • mari

Thanks republican leaders for attacking one of the few politicians who actually tries to represent his constituents. I guess it would be a disaster for all of you who look down on your constituents and are steeped in the perks of big government.

  • BigGeezer

Ted Cruz should be proud of the criticism of these idiot so-called republicans. mccain, graham, hatch, mcconnell… jeb bush… These guys are an embarrassment not only to so called conservatives but American Patriots as well. These are the same guys like the democrats that MUST BE REMOVED FROM OFFICE. These slime-balls are nothing but sell-out parasites… AND DON’T FORGET it was not Ted Cruz that shut down the government… it was ‘I WILL NOT NEGOTIATE’ harry reid and barack obama… THE FIRST PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF OUR ONCE GREAT COUNTRY THAT PUBLICLY MADE THAT STATEMENT!! All around PATHETIC.

    • Merle Dickey

      Thank you!

  • Shorty Stuff

You’re right. I used to think Texas senator John Cornyn was a conservative. But no more. He wouldn’t stand up and support Cruz, and has even denigrated him for his stance. So I’ll be voting against Cornyn if we can get a conservative to run against him. Hear that Tea Party?

    • JRR

I don’t know a Texas conservative who doesn’t agree with you!

  • Vis Fac

Can any one say the GOP is full of RINO SAVE A$$E$???
No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government
programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the
nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth!!!

The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter. Winston Churchill

You don’t have to be a Marine to make a difference the only requirement is being truly patriotic and the willingness to back it up!!!

  • Amfer Ferg

There are only two winners in this ‘blame game’ and that would be Ted Cruz and Mike Lee – the rest of them have been exposed right down to their dirty underwear. We know who you are and what you truly are! Stand tall and proud Ted and Mike – we know you are true to your constituents and your oaths.

  • JanelleHumbert

Yet more reason to vote the congress in and out regularly. Yes, I’m aware that would remove the few good ones. But frankly, DC as it works now is an ATM machine paid for by taxpayers.

  • Karll

Bush, Mcconnell and McCain. 3 completely useless characters that should join the democrat party and get it over with.

  • Alex

    Ted Cruz is a Texass….

    • arkham

A grandstanding, sanctimonious, self serving, non-patriotic, pathetically fundamentalist human equivalent of an over stuffed colostomy bag…

    • Gary

So all you can do is call him names? Please tell me what he has done, what he has said, or what position he has held that is so terrible that you need to come up with a cute “_ass” name? I’m just trying to figure out when it became a “bad” thing to actually represent those who elected you to office?

      • arkham

Cruz does indeed represent some of those who voted for him. Next election will determine how many have buyers remorse.

        • Merle Dickey

He had 2 standing greetings when he went back to Texas. Most folks there like him.

  • 4lifeandfreedom

I guess Jeb Bush does not believe the Democrats are responsible for the debt ceiling/Obamanoncare/government shutdown? Ted Cruz and Mike Lee did the right thing, and the middle of the road R’s are simply devastated that they might be exposed for who they are and what they do behind the scenes to keep themselves in good standing with the establishment!

  • Drake2003

From Luke 4:24, the Holy Bible states “a prophet is not welcome in his own land”. This passage of scripture is fulfilled by the way RINO’s are treating their own. I am quite sure if stoning were allowed, you would see Republican senators lining up to cast stones at Senators Cruz and Lee.

    • carolchristine

And Rand Paul . I am not sure about Rubio or Paul Ryan.

  • True American

The GOP turn coats are NOW doing what their puppet Obama is telling them to say , in an Obama dis-order to cause chaos and further Barack Obamas CONFUSION unto the public . Barack Obama is all about his STD Venom unto them that he deceptively rapes . Obama is A CLOWN that knows ONLY how to CRY A BITCH .

  • True American

Barack Obamas CORRUPT plan is to weaken The American Military Might and put all of America on an unstable strength ready STATE OF READINESS .Barack Obama IS NOT Americas , AMERICAN PRESIDENT , but rather , Americas ENEMY on American soil . Barack Obama is highly unstable and NOT trust worthy . Straight Up ALL Americans , Barack Obama and family must ALL be MOMMIFIED and thrown out over the inside boundaries of Iran and Saudi Arabia , where they ALL truly belong .

  • bob

Cruz has ethics and principles the rest of the GOP just can’t comprehend such a concept.

    • carolchristine

Exactly.Trying to wake up the Establishment GOP. is not easy. They have been ignoring the conservatives in their party for a long long time.

      • Ted Crawford

We need to send an unmistakable message to Reince Priebus, that while we stood still, relatively, and allowed Boehner to purge the House, in an attempt to get along and produce positive results, we have no intentions to follow that mistake by allowing him to purge the Conservatives from the National Party!
We worked with them, against the better judgement of many, and they delivered a devastating defeat to us in 2012!
Priebus, be advised we do not need you! Conversly you DO need us! Think Tory, Whig, Copperhead, ETC., there have been others before, should you fail to heed our warning, and the Country can survive, there will be another!

    • Deerinwater

well, ~ he attempt to act like he does~ we can agree on that. ~ I see him as a “Pitch Man” outside a circus tent. ~ while you believe his words,I don’t.

      • Amfer Ferg

“Pitch Man”…….look who occupies the white house!

      • BigGeezer

what part of ‘his words’ can’t you believe? That our government is out of control? That obamacare is not what our country needs or wants? That the ‘washington establishment’ is destroying our once great country and we have to do something to stop the rising cesspool? Exactly what don’t you understand?

        • Ted Crawford

It’s a reasonable certainty that it’s not the parts he doesn’t understand that has his Progressive little mind fluttering!

      • Bob666

        Yo deer,
Cruz just tells the Narrow- Minded what they want to hear.

  • Deerinwater

Well, when Ted manages to keep his job only then might we have a good idea of just how popular he is. ~ A fools folly is normally considered a non starter among thoughtful people.

I can’t help but think Ted Cruz will fade into irrelevance much like McCarthy and soon to be Michelle Bockmann. My crystal ball says he has no future in politics.

    • Wayne

Evidently your crystal ball is as clouded as your judgment.

    • Chris

This guy works for the dems.

    • ibn insha

Just because one is not liked by many does not mean he is wrong. Prophets were never popular initially during their times either.

    • Ted Crawford

So, that cheap Chinese Knock-off is malfunctioning again? Call Pelosi she’ll have an answer for you!

  • Quester55

the problem with having OLD Blood in the GOP, is the FACT That they can’t tell the difference between a Great Party leader & an Elderly FOOL!
Ted Cruz, The Only one of a Chosen Few that Understands & Attempts to HONOR the Citizen’s Wishes!!

After All, anyone would bound to be Better than your Fuhrer is today!

    • Merle Dickey

Unfortunately, he was born in Canada so he wouldn’t be allowed to run for President. He has made it clear he was born out of the country unlike what we have in the WH now!

      • Quester55

        Mini-Dick, GO SUCK an EGG!!
If This Country & The Democratic Communist Party can Elect an Libyan Born Halfbreed to be President, AS Stated in his Mother’s Papers, Then we Can Sure as Shooting Elect Ted Cruz, If He Runs.
And if he does & you intend on Protesting,???????????? You Figure it out!

        • Merle Dickey

Apparently you can’t see that i’m a woman I don’t appeteciate your filthy tone over something that you obviously didn’t let sink in!! One , I like Cruz, i was just writing what he has said himself. LEGALLY , he shouldn’t be allowed to run but if they let him I am all for it!! and would probably vote for him!! So, why would I protest. As for the thing we have in the white house I too believe he has a fake birth certificate. I also think he isn’t the one running this country, he is just the mouth of someone much sinister than him.( which I will probably get many comments on that statement). Please save your temper for someone who deserves it . I don’t think i did.

          • Quester55

  • 1baronrichsnot1

These old dried up demented fa-ts must think we can’t do without gov’t, all that was defunded was obamacare and obama said it was already funded, who shut down the parks, layed off gov’t workers, who hired armed guards for the national shutdowns of our memorials, roadside parks, mt. rushmore, etc.? I believe that came from the executive(loose wording) branch! The gov’t workers took a paid holiday, non essentials are hired to lower the unemployed rate and provide votes for encumbents, they called back 400K of them the second day. We don’t need them! I know of no one who even cared how long this white house kept the gov’t workers home! Trouble is they just kept harrassing, and haranging the folks with stories of judgement day and defaults that aren’t possible when you are working without a budjet and printing all the money you want to, no one needs to work, the gov’t is providing dirty paper in record amounts, the Federal reserve wasn’ t shut down, goldman sachs still got theirs in spades, and trickled it down to politicians. We did’t see anything different out here in the private sector, it was just in power hungry la la land! We still went to work, earned our pay, while the whole of our gov’t so called “leaders” panicked! Really scared that we didn’t need them. But I also see nothing different in gov’t or the economy now that it is “reopened” except they all curse Ted Cruz, one of 11 constitutionalist left in the USA!

  • Don in Ohio

“I think Senate Republicans should have united,” Cruz said.

    I agree.
If the old R’s want to every win another election, they need to listen to “we the people”!
Dirty Harry’s plan all along was to stonewall every thing the R’s suggested until they caved in, and like it or not, that’s exactly what happened.
The R’s leadership should all resign and get the hell out of the way!

  • John Rodgers

  • JimH

Wow, Ted Cruz shut down the U.S. government. One man did that? He must be on tough hombre. The other 99 Senators, over 400 Reps and the whole Executive branch, couldn’t stand up to him? WOW!!!!!! I’m impressed.
Or could it be all the others are spineless wimps?

    • Don in Ohio

Yep, I guess Odumbo, Reid, all the Senate Democrats, etc didn’t have anything to do with it.
That kinda makes Cruz stronger than superman!!!

47% Think Neither Political Party Represents the American People

    Monday, October 14, 2013

Belief that the Republican Party has a plan for the future has tumbled 20 points since last year, but nearly half of voters still believe neither major political party represents the American people.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 34% of Likely U.S. Voters believe the GOP has a plan for where it wants to take the nation. That’s down from 54% in June 2012 and back to levels seen in earlier surveys. Forty-seven percent (47%) think Republicans do not have a plan for the future, while 19% are not sure.

The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on October 12-13, 2013 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
