What Websites Do You Read?

In response to hundreds of reader inquiries—well, at least three—I’m going to devote this week’s column to describing some of the other websites I read every week. If some in the list below are new to you I hope you’ll check them out. You may find yet another “must read” columnist you’ll want to check out every week…

Double Standards

In 1995 Representative Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) took to the floor to excoriate then-House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) over accusations that he had violated ethics laws. Now look who’s in the hot seat.

The Drumbeats For War Grow Louder

Boom. Boom. Boom. Can you hear it? It’s the drumbeat for war. And it’s beating louder by the day. Boom. Boom. Boom. Former CIA Chief Michael Hayden says a U.S. military strike against Iran “seems inexorable” because diplomacy is failing. Boom. Boom. Boom. Read this article to learn who is beating the drums for war…

Senator Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) Talks With Robert Ringer

Senator Jim DeMint is one of the most effective conservative leaders in Washington. Farewell To The Penny Angel

Is the lowly penny on its way out? It seems the call to do away with the 1-cent piece is growing louder, and Geopolitical Editor Chip Wood, for one, would hate to see it go the way of the dodo bird and the gold-backed dollar. Read this article for a story about the Penny Angel and why Chip doesn’t want the penny to disappear…

The Great Pretender

The Marxmeister in the White House now says he takes full responsibility for ending the oil mess in the Gulf. Watching his recent performances on the Gulf oil disaster made me think about a monster hit The Platters had in the 50s called “The Great Pretender.” Read this article to learn what makes President Barack Obama The Great Pretender…

Farewell To The King Of Pork

There’s been a lot written over the past 12 days about the death of Robert Byrd, the so-called “last lion of the Senate.” But the West Virginia senator was no lion despite all the accolades that have been heaped on him since his death. He was a pig. Read this article to learn more about the King of Pork…
