You Might Get It

You Might Get It

Well, that didn’t take long. As the proverbial smoke clears in Tucson, the march on the Bill of Rights is underway.

On Monday, Congressman James Clyburn (D-SC) announced a renewed push to abrogate the 1st Amendment to the Constitution. Clyburn, the third-ranking Democrat in the House of Representatives, wants a return to the free-speech-killing Fairness Doctrine.

“Free speech is as free speech does… you cannot yell ‘fire’ in a crowded theater and call it free speech and some of what I hear, and is being called free speech, is worse than that.”

On the surface, any effort to bring back an assault on the Bill of Rights would seem to be standard Democrat politics. They can’t beat superstars like Rush Limbaugh and Bill O’Reilly on the playing field, so they’ll change the rules. With Clyburn’s daughter, the deliciously-named Mignon, an appointee to the Federal Communications Commission, the picture takes on a grim countenance.

However, as is so often the case with liberals, Clyburn’s ham-fisted efforts to squelch opposition by nefarious means are equaled only by his hypocritical short-sightedness. Imagine the nation in which the key tenets of our national freedoms are jackhammered, rather than eroded, away in the name of public safety (or political gain, in the Democrat Party’s dystopic ideal).

If the Democrat Party’s macabre effort to profit from the tragic events in Tucson by shredding the Bill of Rights comes to fruition, what will the Fairness Doctrine produce in the future?

TIMES LATEST TO GET HIT WITH FAIRNESS RULING
Olbermann waits by phone

Homogenized Press Reports

September 9, 2016

Democrats nationwide erupted in paroxysms of rage today upon learning The New York Times lead editorial consisted of a studied endorsement of school choice, lower income taxes, heightened military strength and unqualified support for the 2nd Amendment.

The Times, a redoubtable clearinghouse for liberal thought, was forced to offer the piece following a Fairness Doctrine complaint. When asked about the increase in corporate media outlets being hit with FD rulings, Fairness Czar Charles Krauthammer said, “Look, this has been the law of the land since February of 2011 — the FAIR application thereof does not change with Presidential administrations.”

Republican Party chairman Rick Santorum said, "Turnabout is fair play. They wanted it then — now President Christie is forcing the corporate media to play by the same rules.”

Surprisingly, the Left wing appeared to have been caught completely flat-footed by the new aggressiveness of the Director of the Office of National Speech Control Policy. Krauthammer has been active since being appointed to the office by President Chris Christie in February of 2013. While the latter years of the Obama Administration saw the revived Fairness Doctrine being used as a weapon against talk radio (except for NPR) and Fox News (but not MSNBC), the new direction has been much more even- and heavy-handed.

Once-dependably liberal outlets like The Times and Newsweek have been forced to not only offer Fairness Czar-approved editorials; they are also no longer allowed to read DNC talking points memos as news copy.

The newest developments promise to incite even more ire from the Left. Director Krauthammer’s office has indicated interest in the blogosphere. Although no rulings have yet been issued regarding online opinion comment, ONSCP agents have reportedly been scrutinizing the often violent postings on liberal hate speech sites including Huffington Post, with records requests also landing in the offices of Dailykos.com, an influential Democrat site run by al-Qaida apologist Markos Moulitsas. Reached by phone while on vacation in Waziristan, Moulitsas said, “I talked to Osama and Aym….I mean, my advisers… and we are going to bomb… I mean… sue.”

To add insult to the Left wing’s deepening injuries, only last week, MSNBC announced the terminations of their entire primetime lineup following repeated violations of the Fairness Doctrine.

As a result, unable to find an outlet with conservative commentators sufficiently lacking in quality, honesty and talent, Olbermann and his lackeys remain unemployed — and possibly unemployable; ironic icons of the policy they and the rest of the liberal media once championed.

Be careful what you wish for, indeed.

Nice article Ben. Not sure how many liberals will notice their ox being gored though.

    • FreedomFighter

      I would like to know:

Who gives the marching orders to the mainstream media?

Lockstep propaganda spewed in unison is no accident, we need to expose the puppet masters of the lamestream media and hold them responsible for treason by manipulation thru propaganda of the American public. Trying to overthrow the US goverment by undermining of the constitution and Bill of Rights is still treason isnt it?

Remove and replace Eric Holder with someone competent, Also Big Sis is way over her level of competence.

The socialist/communist agenda is treason, treat it as such.

      • DaveH

The puppet-masters, FreedomFighter, are themselves. They are Media Moguls. They don’t want competition. What over-paid Corporate officer wants to risk giving up their millions?
Many Republicans and most Conservatives want Free Markets. Free Markets mean competition. That is why the MSM for so many years shut out the voice of Libertarians. Thanks to Fox for breaking that mold.

        • kate8

I remember learning as far back as gradeschool that the first step taken by would-be tyrants is to control the media. We were shown how the Soviets were shown only government propaganda in order to keep the people silent.

They haven’t taught this this for some time, it would seem. The takeover of the media has been quietly ongoing for decades, and now they are after our only source of independent reporting and journalism: the internet.

It really is time for a large scale (and peaceful) revolt against the media and those who control it. The tables must be turned now, before it’s utterly too late.

          • DaveH

You’re right, Kate. We need to use the boycott tool that has been a favorite of Liberals for decades. For instance, I would not buy any GM product or the product of any other company or movie star that promotes the Liberal cause. Two can play the boycott game. And let them know why you are boycotting.

          • Vicki

Kate8 the process has been going on for a while. Fox News ratings are way above others and many of the MSM are fighting for economic survival. That is one of the reasons that the government is seriously working on the “fairness doctrine” in one form or another and controlling the Internet.
Of course lying to the people might be the cause :)

            http://people-press.org/report/543/

          • Vicki

And to support my assertion that ratings are dropping. This article also addes to the evidence that the people do not like propaganda and can tell.

          • eddie47d

Ben Crystal makes fantasy assumptions and you jump on his meal tickets like that is a badge of honor. Why is it that Conservatives wanted Air America off the airwaves and Michael Moore silenced? Then have the audacity to say liberals want to silence free speech. Hypocrites All!!!

          • Bruce D.

You are making false assumptions Eddie47d. Most could care less about Air America. We didn’t listen to it and didn’t care if you listened it. The truth of the matter not even the left wanted to listen to it or it would still be on the air.

          • DaveH

            Bruce,
Eddie probably thinks it is “force” if we don’t listen to his favorite Liberal programs.

          • Vicki

            eddie47d says:
“Why is it that Conservatives wanted Air America off the airwaves”

We didn’t even know it was there to (not) listen to. Apparently by its absence neither did liberals.

            eddie47d: “and Michael Moore silenced?”

Cause we don’t like his lies being passed around as “documentary”

eddie47d: “Then have the audacity to say liberals want to silence free speech. Hypocrites All!!!”

Observing and stating a fact is not hypocritical.

          • DaveH

As usual, Eddie is fabricating facts.

          • eddie47d

No Dave You are lying about your own lies. You want to do on to others that you don’t want them to do onto you. Crystal says liberals want to stiffle free speech. What a crock!!

          • doug s.

boycot is the answer and just stop buy the products the advertise and tell them so. that is the voice we the people still have we need to use it before they take that to…

          • kate8

Hey, eddie, It’s liberals who started this food fight and it’s liberals who are pushing to limit free speech. That was the whole point of it.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            eddie,
hate to tell you but your hero Michael Moore told all kinds of lies. In his farenheight documentary(?) he took the comments of a NY cop and twisted them all around to make them say what he wanted. The cop came out after the film aired and made a very public statement about it! If you hadn’t had such a hero worship thing for Moore you might have noticed it!

          • Dan az

            So Eddiee
Is it that fox news is top dog and has been since bush 1 and 2 and then went off the charts when your boy took over?Is that whats bothering you?
Ya just cant have it both ways. My self I would like to see sorass held accountable but thats just me!

        • Carole Howell

Fox is the biggest liar of them all, they do not even claim to give you the news when they are pinned down on their lies, they claim they are entertainers not newsmen. You get infotainment from fox.

Sheesh! no wonder we are in so much trouble, there is no socialist/communist agenda. Fascism maybe. The agenda is to take away all entitlements. ALL. Social security, medicare, Veterans benefits.(these entitlements are socialist programs) So it is not a socialist/communist agenda. Get a clue. The opposite of what you said is true.

They just passed a bill that will destabilize Social Security. Check it out. Got $$$$$$$ for continuous wars, but no money for Gramma and Grampa or for our Veterans, they just cost too damn much. Never mind the fact we all pay into Soc. Sec. Which is contrary to popular belief (thanks to MSM) is actually in good shape for another 25 yrs or so, despite the gov.’s plundering of it. No good reason for it to fail, so what do they do, they pass a bill to destabilize it. That is not socialism, not even close.

Obama ran as a left winger and governs like a right winger. He is anti-socialist. And Certainly not even close to communist. Know your isms.

          • Dagney

Man, is this person delusional or what?

          • Vicki

Lots of bald assertions. No proofs. try again.

          • http://charter howe

Congressman Clyburn has proven that he is a Nancy Pelosi attack dog and a radical believer in the Communist Manifesto when he openely made remarks on national news that was an assault on the first amendment of the constitution concerning free speech. This is the same Congressman who race baited the Tea Party gathering at the Capitol last year and claimed he was insulted with the use of the N word while walking through the Tea Party crowd on the way to his office. In spite of the challenge to him to produce a witness or sound byte to support his claim with a 100,000 dollar bounty offered by Mr. Breitbart who is one of the Tea Party spokespersons, no one could come forward to substantiate this big lie by this weasily lawyer. This Congressman has supported the race card when the NAACP castigated the Tea Party and when other devisive issues have surfaced and if that is what you want your country to become then we deserve all the hell that will break loose when we have to pull together to keep our country from disaster from within and outside of our borders. The savage discord of the liberal progressives is without precedent and after the liberal blame game got into high gear immediatelly after Congresswoman Giffords got shot I was stunned by the vicious comments of this leader wannabe. It was bad enough to hear a political statement by the Pima County Sherrif who obviously was a democrat exercising his aggressive opinion as to why the shooting took place instead of his plans for investigation of this tragedy. My vision for why I spent 29 years in the miliitary to support the Constitution and the law of the land went to hell in a handbasket with the liberal stupidity that took place in the aftermath of that shooting. I was thinking about the dozens of my fellow military family that got shot by a Muslim radical at Fort Hood last year and I distinctly recall the effort by the President to remain politically correct and downplay the tragedy as an act by a lone wolf who just happened to be a Major in the Army. There is no WE THE PEOPLE in the minds of the socialist democrats because their ideology does not respect the rule of law and the Constitution. Our country is going to suffer mightily until these bogus radicals go the way of the dinosaur. We don’t have our country back yet, because their are still too many remnants of a destructive govt left. I hope every patriot in America remembers these socialist idiots when its time to vote on 2 Nov 2012. My fellow Americans, my family and I deserve better.

          • Ted Crawford

Does this phantom bill have a name or Congressional number for us to research it! Unless it was passed in the last two weeks the “they” you reffer to has to be the progressives!

      • Michael J.

        FreedomFighter,

You asked, “Who gives the marching orders to the mainstream media?”

The answer is, The Counsel on Foreign Relations whose mandate it was to control the media since the groups inception. The CFR is in turn guided by the Bilderberg’s.

        • Gregg Pellegrino

Here, here… the Bildenbergs indeed! U+If you get the chance to give it a few minutes, you should definitely check out the “The Truth About the Bildenbergs” maybe even Google it!

      • Teresa

Freedom….here is an old article I have for you…interesting. Just lil more proof for you how our media really works.
        http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/08/obamas_donor_contributions_sil.html

        • kate8

Of course, FOXNews isn’t really independent, either. It is the controlled opposition. The telling isn’t so much in what they report, but what they DON’T report.

There are many times when the conservative heads on Fox buy right into the premise of MSM reporting, when they’d do better search out the real facts of the story. But that would mean challenging the “official” story, and that isn’t what they are about.

      • James

FreedomFighter, I wouldn’t say it’s treason, but close to it. The relative part of the First Amendment reads: “Congress shall make no law…abridging the freedom of speech.” The Fairness Doctrine wouldn’t violate that, but Congress was delegated no power to require radio stations to provide certain kinds of speech. Requiring broadcasters to be ‘fair,’ in discussions of a certain subject, is beyond the powers of Congress.

      • W Davis

These folks are enabled every time we support one of their sponsors. Keith O. and his ilk will vanish if we “little people” refuse to support their sponsors – and tell them why we won’t buy their products. Show your displeasure with companis like GE et. al. by refusing to give them your money. It is all about the $$$. When the sponsors lose their income because Americans won’t support Chris M. or Keith O. and their sponsors things will change! Vote with your $$$ – spend them wisely.

  • s c

Good, timely article, Ben. Isn’t it curious how those who supposedly champion compassion and semi-divine morality aren’t on speaking terms with either concept? Isn’t it amazing how someone who might otherwise think in terms of social justice has found a way to become a slavemaster and enslave a nation? So much for Lincoln, eh?
OK, progressives. Line up and tell how us how insensitive the rest of us are. Tell us how multiple wrongs do make a “right,” especially when the ends justify the means. Tell us how much you love us, and how you will do anything to sacrifice the rest of us so America can be the world’s social engineering temple. And, please, don’t forget to mention that James Clyburn [a textbook legend in his own mind] is one of America’s world-class social engineering “priests.” Tell us, and don’t hesitate to remind us that he’s but one of Obummer’s ‘fundamental changers’ and how much America owes to Obummer.

    • kate8

s c – Great post, as usual. But don’t expect an answer from the true-believers. Your words will fly right over their heads.

  • Angel Wannabe

Good article Ben!_I too am amazed that a sheriff in Arizona, who first blamed the Arizona tragedy on political discourse, and how quickly the Dems jumped on board to put the blame squarely on the shoulders of Conservatives. More nanny foo foo crony politics?
The American people DID NOT like the direction that “Hope and Change” was going, so in November we voted.(Question is, did our vote really count, or did the TPTB, “let” the American people win one?)
I think when the people touched the voting booths, the Dems felt some of they’re magic power leave them. Now they’ll try and reign it back in “anyway” they freakin’can. The Dems remind me of a bunch of children playing King of the Hill. In they’re folded newspaper hats and wooden swords, standing on top of the pile, the Fairness Doctrine was/is being threatened and pushed. The phony FD Gods are just itching to shut the Conservatives up, so the only rhetoric that gets air time is theirs._ We know what your up to Washington, we know!

    • Carole Howell

      Angel Wannabe and the rest,
Say what you want but except for Reagan, all the Political victims including all the anthrax targets were all Democrats, at least in the last 70 years. Hmmm…..now why is that? Coincidence? I thank not.

I listened to all the typical radio talk show hosts today and they are trying to say the guy who shot Gifford in Arizona was not politically motivated. Well…yes he was as it turns out and his target was a Democrat. So whose side was he on? He meant to shoot her, he planned it.

All the talk show hosts today were trying to say a friend of his (unnamed) said he never watched TV or read the paper yadda, yadda, he was not interested in politics, yak yak and he was a liberal. All that is bull. He had been making videos etc all proving he was very politically motivated and very rightwing. He was 22 years old and registered as an Independent. Gifford was not shot by him randomly, he planned her assassination. He wrote about.

So….you like the way things are? You think they should continue just the way they are? With all the division and hatefulness and violence, remember the guy who knocked that woman down and stomped on her head, remember that coward? You approve of his behavior? That is the way we should act when we disagree with someone?

Calling Obama a liberal and a leftest, which is ridiculous, the man is farther right than Richard Nixon. He is following the Bush agenda to the letter. You should all love him. What is your problem? If you approved of Bush, you should love Obama.

      • Bruce D.

Most of us did not approve of a lot of things Bush did. That is just leftest spin used on this site all the time. Leftest want to
make Bush an issue to divert attention from Obama’s mishandling of almost every situation he is confronted with.

        • CLARENCE SWINNEY

            CLARENCE SWINNEY
when you can prove with facts that clinton left bush a surplus of anything then i will give you some credit get your FACTS right 14 trillion in dept now 2011 demacrats took over congress in 2006 white house 2008,from 08 tell now all most 4 trillion dollars spent under obama, from 2000 to 2006 four trillion dollars in six years,so all clinton left was smoke and mirrows and around 4 trillion in the red less see 14 trillion min 4 is 10 min 3 is 7 min 4 is 3 trillion or close to it in 2000

          • DaveH

What gets me is these Liberals who have the audacity to bring up the debt legacy of Bush (which was indeed bad), but fail to note that Obama has increased the Debt by $3.3 Trillion in just 2 years. Compare that to an increase of $5 Trillion in 8 years under Bush.
I’ll break that down for you Clarence, since being a Liberal probably means your math skills are severely lacking:
Average yearly increase in the National Debt under Bush — $625 Billion dollars.
Average yearly increase in the National Debt under Obama — $1,030
            Billion dollars.

          • DaveH

Make that $1,650 Billion a year for Obama (loose nut on the keyboard).

          • Bruce D.

            From Dick Morris
“We all know that the reason the federal government debt is exploding is the reckless spending policies of the Obama Administration. From the time George Washington took the oath of office to the time Barack Obama did, Washington borrowed $9 trillion. Since Obama took office, two years ago, we have borrowed almost $5 trillion more! Domestic discretionary spending (non-defense) has risen by an astonishing 41% in two years!!! Welfare spending, primarily Medicaid, has gone up by 54% in two years!!!! We must roll back these increases. (It is not increases in Social Security – 14% — or Medicare -16% that are the problem).”

          • JKO

Not sure where you get your info but you need to recheck it. I know it is customary to blame the Prez but Congress has as much to bear as the Prez.
I have followed closely since Carter was Prez and what you are saying is the typical rhetoric set by Dems. And yes I do realize that the Repubs also have rhetoric. That’s why I am neither.
The rest of you guys make excellent points here.

          • Angel Wannabe

CS__hey there Rip-Van-Winkle, how long you been alseep? Bush is long gone, time to turn that dial and blame someone else, ya know so your buddies there in Washington don’t have to be accountable.. :)

            From the National Debt Clock
The National Debt has continued to increase an average of
$4.17 billion per day since September 28, 2007!
            Concerned?

          • Bruce D.

            The National Debt Clock
From 1/14/09 to 1/11/11 the National Debt increased
            3,413,590,762,654.43

          • Angel Wannabe

Bruce D,at the risk of soundin like the LIbs and bringing up the past__But Lets see, 2007, Oh, The Dems controlled Congress, Imagine that!!

          • Bruce D.

According to The Natiional Debt Clock to the penny the debt from 1/14/01 to 1/14/09 was 4,870,771,025,475.25. Neither Bush’s record or Obama’s record paint a pretty picture. But Obama’s projections are up around 22 trillion in national debt by the year 2015 if someone does not curb his spending.

          • Bill

            Clarence,

Clinton’s legacy to this country was not the shining example that you portray and would have us believe.Clinton’s true legacy was that he exchanged morality for a ephemeral prosperity. what flavor of Kool-aid do you drink?

          • Mac

Nobody has mentioned that the debt increase by Bush was initially fostered by the response to 9/11; that and the ill-advised Patriot Act. In the first month or two after 9/11 we (the US) were almost unanimously in favor of the Patriot Act, but it soon became apparent that it was the wrong thing to do. Bush went wrong in not realizing it was wrong, and allowing it to escalate; but the escalation may be credited to his advisors. Even as late as the invasion of Iraq a lot of conservatives were still behind the “hang the expense” mode. There was considerable momentum behind the “get the terrorists” move that slopped over into loss of our freedoms, and has not stopped yet.

          • surrelam

Thank God Clinton had a conservative Congress.

You like all the rest just dont get it!Do we say Bush was good here No.Is he part of the problem Yes Get with the program you and all of your kike minded minions are just treading water just like the rest of us here. You need to look at the whole picture its that nagging feeling that you get that there is something a miss going on and it keeps slapping you and you refuse to look at it with open eyes.Yes obummer has screwed the pooch on this and the list is long but its still not the whole issue its the elite behind the curtain that are pulling the strings that you need to look at because they are not your nanny they are the ones in the closet and under your bed so its time for you and all of the rest to grow a set and listen to the truth and quit whinning aboiut the right versus the left because you are the problem supporting this nonsense.

        • BobbyB

Then why in the world were you silent during the Bush years?? That’s a question that has never been answered. Most of the problems Obama has were inherited from Bush. Where were the cries for fiscal responsibility when Bush was spending like a drunken sailor in port? Where was the protest when the Patriot Act that stripped our “Freedom” was signed in to law.
          Obama is just following suit~

          • DaveH

How do you know that he was silent? I wasn’t. Why are you silent about Obama?

          • Bruce D.

The left never seems to really have a clue about anything. One of the main objectives of the TeaParty is to keep the Republican Party in check. If they were so very happy with Bush and the Republicans they really would not have to do that, would they.

          • JKO

I was critisizing Bush when he was wrong. So were many of the right wing talk people. Hannity, Beck, Levine, and even Rush also critisized because I heard them. I am not hearing the same about Obama from the left.

          • TIME

            Bobby
First off you have no clue who said what about what Bush did, now do you? Thats only your uninformed opinon, is that not a fact Bobby?

Then be this a bit of a stretch for a U or ewe, but please explain “when was it that two wrongs make it alright?”

So by your thinking if I hit you in the head with say a 2 by 4 as hard as I can ~ thats ok, its also ok if Dave also hits you in the head as hard as he can too?

By what you posted that would be ok with U, or ewe? If say no one said anything about U or ewe being hit in the head the first time, but only if its an opinion based on nothing.

Carole, are you insain, blind, or just stupid?!?! Have you ever heard of a President passing laws behind closed doors before? Have you ever heard of Congress passing bills without reading them or knowing what they say before?? This administration is doing whatever IT wants and they don’t care what you, me, or anyone else thinks or says because they are so SMART!! To pass a law because the speaker of the house tells you that it is the right thing to do and you can find out what is in it after you pass it but they are a member of your party has got to be the dumbest, laziest, thing I have ever heard of our Congress doing. Obama is an illegal muslim that has the gift of speech and therefore persuaded his ignorant party to follow him in anything he wants to do. We’ll see how you feel when you can’t afford to eat.

Did it ever occur to you that if a Republican was targeted, no one in the media would care, and they couldn’t blame the Right for it?

However, what you say is simply not true. Lincoln was shot, Reagan was shot. And there have been other less prominent shootings as well.

Ms. Gifford was not towing the party line. Judge Roll was a conservative – remember him? And don’t say he wasn’t a targe, because he did not plan to attend the rally, but someone beg and cajoled him to show up.

You have left out one very critical piece of evidence in your comment. One of the victims was a Federal Judge appointed by George Bush (Senior), named John Roll.

      • Ruth B, Concerned Patriot

I don’t know just how to effectively reply to one so pathetically uninformed. The Socialists have been pushing toward destroying the US as a capitalist nation for years. That includes taking over health care, large business, grabbing up private land etc. etc., taking away free speech, all means of protection. With the election of Obama they have simply been emboldened. Bush and the Republicans are constantly derided for catering to the rich – Obama wants to take from the rich and give to the poor, deserving or not. His political ideology is right out of the Marxist Manifesto. (do some documental research on this.) Bush ls an avowed Christian; Obama said when the going got touch he would side with the Muslims, and in one interview even slipped and said “my Muslim religion.” Thus, Muslims are also emboldened in their efforts to take over and force their sharia law and jihad against non-Muslims on this country as well as throughout Europe.
I have wondered at times whether Obama is himself sly and evil in his obvious disdain for our country, or whether he is just a puppet being manipulated by other powers, but another Bush he is not.

        • BobbyB

I got news for you. Obama doesn’t want to take from the rich and give to the poor. Bush AND Obama have taken from us and given it to the ultra rich. Turn off the radio and TV and do some research. Social spending is being cut across the board. 14 TRILLION has been given to bankers and Wall St and they STUCK IT IN THEIR POCKETS. Follow the money. The wealth distribution has already taken place. Rush and Beck won’t tell you this BC their making millions diverting your eyes from the man behind the curtain and it isn’t George Soros. I have a lot of respect for Ron Paul and while I don’t agree with everything he says, I do agree with his assessment that Obama is not a socialist, he’s a corporatist.

Phyllis Schneck A Republican, she took a liking to Gabby, and wanted to get to know her better. Taken from Obama’s Tucson speech transcript-was killed in AZ. just an fyi.

Regarding Az Giffords shooting-the shooter “What we know about this individual is that he read Karl Marx; he read Hitler. We know he was burning the American flag,” Alexander said. “That’s not the profile of a typical tea party member.”

My opinion: Anyone ever read Karl Marx???? I have and it ain’t American…here is a short version…i had to read it for my PS degree….
Quote:The Communist Manifesto, originally titled Manifesto of the Communist Party (German: Manifest der Kommunistischen Partei) is a short 1848 book written by… the German Marxist political theorists Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. It has since gone down in history as one of the world’s most influential political manuscripts.[1] Commissioned by the Communist League, it laid out the League’s purposes and program. It presents an analytical approach to the class struggle (historical and present) and the problems of capitalism, rather than a prediction of communism’s potential future forms.[2]
The book contains Marx and Engels’ Marxist theories about the nature of society and politics, that in their own words, “The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles.”[3] It also briefly features their ideas for how the capitalist society of the time would eventually be replaced by socialism, and then eventually communism.

My opinion:and u wonder why i am so against socialism and eventually communism replacing Capitalism in our United States of America which we all came to for Freedom……
But we have our US Constitution we Americans should live by and we have laws which by the way states in the Holy Bible we should all follow-regardless. If we don’t like them then the majority changes them. It is called a democratic society. Uninformed people and the sick fanatics do not speak for the majority. Everyone i know regarless of party affiliation is shocked by the shooting. But the shooter was reading and getting his motivation by Karl Marx and Hitler-Per your Media. I don’t know personally anyone around me that believes in Karl Marx or Hitler’s Communist Society and if we remember history-is Communism still alive like it was in Hitlers day????? still my opinion:NO.
Rhectoric doesn’t cause the problems -people with unfounded facts and a distorted mind do. and yes people like that do scare the hell out of uninformed others. but just consider the source…
I will define my nouns etc per webster’s:
        De`moc´ra`cy Pronunciation: dė`mǒk´rå`sŷ
        n. 1. Government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is retained and directly exercised by the people.
        2. Government by popular representation; a form of government in w…hich the supreme power is retained by the people, but is indirectly exercised through a system of representation and delegated authority periodically renewed; a constitutional representative government; a republic.
        3. Collectively, the people, regarded as the source of government

        Definition: Democratic Party
Noun 1. The older of two major political parties in the United States.

        Definition: Republican Party
Noun 1. The younger of two major political parties in the United States; GOP is an acronym for grand old party.

I am a hardcore conservative Republican, and my short version is this…Hold the Holy Bible in one hand and the U.S. Constitution in the other and if someone says something questionable and you can’t find it in either book consider it (and i will put it nicely otherwise my opinion will not be seen)propaganda and most likely started by the leftist media! and this is just my opinion.

Free speech should be tempered with common sense.
You can’t yell fire in a crowded theater.
Show you have something up there besides grey matter.

      • DaveH

        What if there is fire?
Your comment, Barbara, is as far away from common sense as one can get. Liberal leaders are always looking for plausible excuses to ignore our Constitutional freedoms. They are called stepping-stones. One step at a time. That’s how the Freedom takers work.
The people that would panic and trample others just because somebody yelled fire are the ones who should be prosecuted. But that is the Liberal way. Always look for a scapegoat rather than take responsibility for their own actions.

We have been living with the Constitution as our guide for so many years, yet a few want to change it. If we lose any of our constitutional rights, more will go after the first one. We cannot let Washington tell us they are eliminating any of our rights for our own good!

    • Carole Howell

      Robin,
Case you have not noticed, the Patriot Act erased most of our ‘Bill of Rights and our Constitution. Have you read the Patriot Act?

      • Bruce D.

Yes the Patriot Act. Something Obama and many on the left fought vehemently against until they got into power. Then it was all the objections were conveniently forgotten.

        • Lastmanstanding

          Scary, isn’t it Bruce.

        • independant thinker

Not only did they conviently forget they pushed for the renewal and expansion of the un-patriot act.

      • Angel Wannabe

Were talking about TODAY Carole, 2011! When were losing the debate, we can ALL reach back into time and come up with something to arm ourselves with.

      • Jules59

Yes, that is true—Obama has convenient amnesia and has now expanded the scope and power of the Patriot Act with the TSA, the new trucks that can X-ray through the walls of our homes, the joke of Homeland Security….

        • Steve

Just say it, Obama is a liar. He lied every time he thought he needed to get elected and every time he thought he needed to get his agenda passed. He’s a lying sack of crap; a turd with ears. Are there any Democrats with integrity? I think I heard of one once. They all agree to uphold the constitution but where are the Democrats that are talking about upholding the constitution? Their a bunch of scumbag lawyers! At least there are probably some good republicans but many of them lie also. It’s illegal to lie to congress but shouldn’t it be illegal for congress and the president to lie to us? I hate to say it and it sounds wrong but a lot of them could die and the world would probably be a better place. Or we can get off our ass and vote a bunch more of them out in two years!

          • Karolyn

Why lie? You don’t really hate to say that we’d be better off if “they” were dead! All your hate speech is against fellow human beings who are no better, nor worse, than you.

          • kate8

Karolyn – People who are treacherous, treasonous liars, and are attempting to destroy our Constitutional Republic and collapse our economy, bringing misery, poverty, persecution and death to the hardworking people of America (and even those who don’t work), do not deserve the life they were given.

Sorry, but that’s just the truth. Many have given their own lives to fight powermongers less evil than these. What we have in government today is worse because they hide behind the very Republic they seek to destroy.

      • Angel Wannabe

Carole, The patriot act was originally passed and used FOR & AFTER the 9/11 attacks, in the fear they’re would be more attacks. BUT, You know damned well with it in place SOMEONE in power would abuse it and use it against us!__Just like they TPTB use the Constitution against us.

      • Robin from Arcadia, IN

Carole Howell… I admit, I haven’t read the Patriot Act. I wonder how many in Congress will admit that they didn’t read the Obamacare Act? I do remember when the Patriot Act was in the works, and I remember having reservations about it. If it wasn’t abused, it seemed okay, but now we see the TSA is abusing it. This is what happens!

      • DaveH

Ah, yes, the Patriot Act. Passed by all but one Democrat Senator. Passed by 70% of the Democrat Representatives. And ignored by the Democrats in the 111th Congress and by Obama, even though they were brazen enough to ram an unpopular and unconstitutional healthcare bill down our collective throats.

  • Don

Could someone explain from a technical point of view how the Fairness Doctrine abrogates the First Amendment?

    • RivahMitch

The “Fairness” doctrine is a law controlling the content of communications. As I recall, the First Amendment says “Congress shall make NO Law”….abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press. If government controlling the content of communications is not “abridging the freedom of speech or of the press”, what would be?

      • Carole Howell

        RivahMitch,
I still waiting for you to answer Don’s question.

        • Bruce D.

What do you not get Carole? RivahMitch says: “The “Fairness” doctrine is a law controlling the content of communications. As I recall, the First Amendment says “Congress shall make NO Law”….abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press.” I thought he explained it well. If Congress can pass no law… then that means they can pass no law.
“Fairness” or “fair access” is best determined by FCC authorities acording to the left who believe that government should regulate everything. Now that there is almost an unlimited amount of places to access news the FCC does not need to stick there nose in where it does not belong. Liberals want to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine at this time because most people do not want to listen to their nonsense. Liberals are losing their audience and want to force people to listen to their viewpoints.

          • DaveH

Good comment, Bruce, but it will probably fall on deaf ears.

          • independant thinker

On the surface the “fairness Act” is a good thing. A liberal gets 3″ headlines and half a page for his position on something the concervative opposition has to get the same headlines and page space for his position on the same thing. That said, you and I know it will not work that way. The media and whatever watchdog is put in place will find ways to screw those who take conceravite positions opposing the official liberal line.

        • Jules59

And again Carole–I’m asking you, who decides what is fair?

          • Barbara

Fairness is in presenting both sides of an issue. Popular or unpopular. Give the people light and they can find their own way.

          • Bruce D.

You found this site Barbara and conservatives know they can go to the Huffington Post, ABC, NBC, CBS, or MSMBC if they want the liberal point of view. What is so difficult about that? We should have the freedom to freely associate and listen to whatever we want to listen to without you or the FCC getting involved in our decisions or forcing us to listen to liberal nonsense.

          • Michael J.

            Barbara,
Nice try Barbara, but the Fairness Doctrine doesn’t have anything to do with fairness so definitions of fairness do not apply. Like all freedom stealing liberal legislation, the so called Fairness Doctrine would actually silence all oposing veiwpoints instead of allowing for any type of fairness. Liberals realized a long time ago that in order to peddle their damaged goods that it was necessary to disguise them with un-oposable names. Surely everyone wants fairness, right?

It occurred to me recently that if liberals invented the electric chair, we would today be calling it something like the final rest recliner.

What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance?-Thomas Jefferson

        • DaveH

Abridge — to reduce in scope; diminish.
The fairness doctrine requires compliance with complex rules in the vain attempt at political fairness, whatever that is, given that everybody’s idea of Fair is different. That costs money (lots of it) and subjects those covered under the doctrine to potential liability suits for their speech. The result? To silence political speech.

      • Brad

The definition of abrogates, To abolish, do away with, or annul, especially by authority. [Latin abrog re, abrog t- : ab

The fairness doctrine would abridge the first amendment making specific talk illegal with out another, let’s say, a political party ablity to counter said facts and or opinions. The later being left to the general public to decyfer. If the fairness doctrine where ever voted into law it would have so many law suits challenging it’s constutionality the supreme court would in my opinion declair it un-constitutional.

best way to explain ,is look at the liberal talk radio no one turns on then look at conseritive talk radio with millions of fans what the unfair doc does is if you have a conseritive view point you must give a liberal a view point to counter you at your expence that is a simple way of saying it, liberal talk radio get,s goverment funds and grants to stay in bussiness or most likely would not make it

        Teresa,

Saddly, and I mean very Saddly ~ so many here just don’t get it.
These folks drive down the road and see a STOP sign, sometimes they stop, yet other times they just keep going no matter what.

Here we have a “”GIANT”” sign thats so bright that folks 200000000000 million light years away see it, yet its still the DemO v RebO.

        Perhaps I should put it like this;
“Socialist HEAVY D- v Socialist Light R.” Can any of U’s grasp that?

Its two roads that lead to the same CAMP. Is the BUS ready?

The only ~ U’s that will NOT be on the BUS will be on “”Psychotropic drugs,”” Can I make it any more clear.
How about ROOM 101 can any of you grasp that?

Stop fighting each other and Get over it, its not a Righ V Left, Its not a Yes V No. Its as simple as how’s your Yoke fitting today?
Are your leg braces tight enough yet? Are your wrist bleeding, if not let the good folks in DC adjust them for you with just a tad more clamping down.

For GOD sake U’s people, its the NEW WORLD ORDER v U’s. Can any of you grasp that? What was is not longer, and soon will be what you all claim you don’t want, yet you all beg for more. HELLOOOooooo.

Wake up for real, or just go back to sleep U’s good little flock.

Do YOU believe in FREEDOM? Do YOU believe in the Bill of Rights? Do YOU believe in what this country was founded on?
If you say NO to any of the above. Then just say so.
At least then your being HONEST.

TIME – We DO understand that, at the top, there is no R vs L. But among the people, as I have repeatedly reminded, there is a HUGE gulf between ideologies. WE DON’T USE THE SAME THINKING PROCESSES.

Many in this nation, and around the world, have been damaged by the ideological poisons being fed to them since they were old enough to walk. It doesn’t matter how many facts you present, how hard you attempt to use reason, THEY CAN’T HEAR YOU. It simply doesn’t compute.

It all sounds well and good to call for unity, but how is that going to happen? Will it happen when another major event perpetrated upon us by the elites to bring us begging for their NWO happens? Has that ever really worked before? Because most people stood quietly by when Hitler rounded those he had demonized, and just felt grateful it wasn’t them. Or felt it was for the good of the country.

Don’t look for the Lefty’s to join forces with us. They won’t even see it happening until it’s squarely in their faces, if even then. Scripture tells us that, even in the midst of plagues, pain and intense suffering, the masses will refuse to see the truth and will continue to curse God.

Maybe it’s time to just let them go. As long as we continue to debate them, they will continue to resist. Perhaps it’s just time to do what we know is right, bless them and leave them to find their own way.

            Kate,
I have been Libertarian since 1976. After observing both major political parties at work, I could see that neither respected our Freedom. I heard about Libertarians from a guy at work, looked into their philosophy and knew it made infinitely more sense than Democrats or Republicans.
Since then, I have been labeled as a nut from both sides of the spectrum. Funny thing, though, as I meet old acquaintances from the past, they sound more like me now than I do. My point? I think debating these Ignorant Liberals does do good. As a result, they research things that they would have never researched otherwise. Of course, it is because they want to put us down, but who cares? The end result is that they learn.
Some of course are feeding from the trough and don’t want to learn, but there’s no way of knowing that in this anonymous context.

I totally agree we cannot let D.C. take any of our rights. The problem is that none of you want to do what needs to be done,to stop the madness. It is obvious that we will lose our rights as time progresses and a once great nation will be lost forever, and the text books will be changed so the youth will never know what they lost except for rantings from their grand parents, who they will not listen to, because they are old fossils.

People it is all over but the crying! Just like I hear overseas, Americans are such whimps.

    • Carole Howell

      Castaway,

You are a little late, read the Patriot Act. Our rights as we have come to know them have already been taken away. Here is the Fairness Doctrine

The Fairness Doctrine was a policy of the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC), introduced in 1949, that required the holders of broadcast licenses to both present controversial issues of public importance and to do so in a manner that was, in the Commission’s view, honest, equitable and balanced. The 1949 Commission Report served as the foundation for the Fairness Doctrine since it had previously established two more forms of regulation onto broadcasters. These two duties were to provide adequate coverage to public issues and that coverage must be fair in reflecting opposing views.[1] The Fairness Doctrine should not be confused with the Equal Time rule. The Fairness Doctrine deals with discussion of controversial issues, while the Equal Time rule deals only with political candidates.

In 1969, the United States Supreme Court upheld the Commission’s general right to enforce the Fairness Doctrine where channels were limited, but the courts have not, in general, ruled that the FCC is obliged to do so.[2] In 1987, the FCC abolished the Fairness Doctrine, prompting some to urge its reintroduction through either Commission policy or Congressional legislation.[3] Following the 1969 Red Lion Broadcasting Co. v. Federal Communications Commission decision, which provided the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) with more regulatory power, the main agenda for this doctrine was to ensure that the viewers were exposed to a diversity of viewpoints.

NOW JUST WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT? I LIKE HEARING FROM ALL SIDES OF AN ISSUE.

In August 1987, the FCC abolished the doctrine by an Executive Order from Ronald Reagan. According to Steve Rendall of Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting, which supports reinstating the Fairness Doctrine,

      • JKO

I also like both sides which is why I listen to FOX. I spent years listening to CNN and realized one day that in the opinion shows I got only one side. FOX at least invites both sides though they both don’t always show up.
Talk show hosts like Beck, O’Reilly, Rush or Levine are opinion based shows and I know what I am going to hear. If I don’t want to hear it I can tune into local shows or NPR.
The problem is that if I am producing a show in America I should be able to say what I want and let the people decide what will be successful. Then I teach my kids (who are all grown now) what is right and wrong with all of them.
I agree that the Patriot Act was a HUGE problem, but all I have seen Obama do is expand it along with government in general. Nancy and Harry did NOTHING to curb it but also did things to expand it. And anyway you cut it all of these are left wing (communist).
BTW, when Juan Williams was fired I did actually contact NPR and tell them that was wrong. The reason was because he was invoking his free speech. I do not always agree with him but I respect him because I know where he stands and he is consistent.

        • DaveH

          JKO,
If you get the chance watch John Stossel or Judge Napolitano on Fox Business Channel.

      • Bruce D.

First of all Crole you are not telling the truth about Ronald Regan. Here is a more accurate viewpoint. You also conveniently leave out the most important part of the issue.
1984, the Court concluded that the scarcity rationale underlying the doctrine was flawed and that the doctrine was limiting the breadth of public debate (FCC v. League of Women Voters, 468 U.S. 364). This ruling set the stage for the FCC’s action in 1987. An attempt by Congress to reinstate the rule by statute was vetoed by President Ronald Reagan in 1987, and later attempts failed even to pass Congress.

        • kate8

Geez, I remember those days of the Fairness Doctrine. All you could listen to on the radio were advice shows and music.

          • Bruce D.

Living in WPB, Florida I listened to liberal radio talk shows all the time because that is all there were. When Rush came along I though this is interesting, a different point of view. When Fox News came along I though wow, a news station not promoting the liberal viewpoint. I just could hardly believe it. So I do not know how fair this Fairness Doctrine ever really was.

        • DaveH

The bottom line is that there are almost unlimited sources for any kind of political information that a person could desire these days. Vastly more than at any previous time in our history.
So, for anybody to push any kind of rules to make things “fair” (whatever that is) tells me that those people are just up to no good.

I am posting this AGAIN….just for YOU

EVERYONE SHOULD LIGHTEN UP ON PRESIDENT OBAMA. WHY,
JUST 5 WEEKS AGO HE GOT JOBS FOR 63 REPUBLICANS !!!!!
This historically dyed in the wool Democrat Lefty and former supporter of Obama has really opened Pandora’s box.

Here’s an opinion piece by Chuck Green who writes “Greener Pastures” for the Denver Post Aurora Sentinel…one of the more liberal papers in the country. Additionally, Mr. Green is a life long Democrat…so this is rather a stunning piece…

Obama is victim of Bush’s failed promises

        Greener Pastures Column

Barack Obama is setting a record-setting number of records during his first year in office.
Largest budget ever. Largest deficit ever. Largest number of broken promises ever. Most self-serving speeches ever. Largest number of agenda-setting failures ever. Fastest dive in popularity ever.
        Wow! Talk about change.
Just one year ago, fresh from his inauguration celebrations, President Obama was flying high. After one of the nation’s most inspiring political campaigns, the election of America ‘s first black president had captured the hopes and dreams of millions. To his devout followers, it was inconceivable that a year later his administration would be gripped in self-imposed crisis.
Of course, they don’t see it as self-imposed. It’s all George Bush’s fault.
George Bush, who doesn’t have a vote in congress and who no longer occupies the White House, is to blame for it all.
He broke Obama’s promise to put all bills on the White House web site for five days before signing them.
He broke Obama’s promise to have the congressional health care negotiations broadcast live on C-SPAN.
He broke Obama’s promise to end earmarks.
He broke Obama’s promise to keep unemployment from rising above 8 percent.
He broke Obama’s promise to close the detention center at Guantanamo in the first year.
He broke Obama’s promise to make peace with direct, no precondition talks with America ‘s most hate-filled enemies during his first year in office, ushering in a new era of global cooperation.
He broke Obama’s promise to end the hiring of former lobbyists into high White House jobs.
He broke Obama’s promise to end no-compete contracts with the government.
He broke Obama’s promise to disclose the names of all attendees at closed White House meetings.
He broke Obama’s promise for a new era of bipartisan cooperation in all matters.
He broke Obama’s promise to have chosen a home church to attend Sunday services with his family by Easter of last year.
Yes, it’s all George Bush’s fault. President Obama is nothing more than a puppet in the never-ending failed Bush administration.
If only George Bush wasn’t still in charge, all of President Obama’s problems would be solved. His promises would have been kept, the economy would be back on track, Iran would have stopped its work on developing a nuclear bomb and would be negotiating a peace treaty with Israel . North Korea would have ended its tyrannical regime, and integrity would have been restored to the federal government.
Oh, and did I mention what it would be like if the Democrats, under the leadership of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, didn’t have the heavy yoke of George Bush around their necks? There would be no ear marks, no closed-door drafting of bills, no increase in deficit spending, no special-interest influence (unions), no vote buying (Nebraska, Louisiana).
If only George Bush wasn’t still in charge, we’d have real change by now.
All the broken promises, all the failed legislation and delay (health care reform, immigration reform) is not President Obama’s fault or the fault of the Democrat-controlled Congress. It’s all George Bush’s fault.
Take for example the decision of Eric Holder, the president’s attorney general, to hold terrorists’ trials in New York City . Or his decision to try the Christmas Day underpants bomber as a civilian.
        Two disastrous decisions.
Certainly those were bad judgments based on poor advice from George Bush.
        Need more proof.
You might recall that when Scott Brown won the election to the U.S. Senate from Massachusetts , capturing “the Ted Kennedy seat”, President Obama said that Brown’s victory was the result of the same voter anger that propelled Obama into office in 2008. People were still angry about George Bush and the policies of the past 10 years. And they wanted change.
Yes, according to the president, the voter rebellion in Massachusetts was George Bush’s fault.
Therefore, in retaliation, they elected a Republican to the Ted Kennedy seat, ending a half-century of domination by Democrats. It is all George Bush’s fault.
Will the failed administration of George Bush ever end, and the time for hope and change ever arrive?
Will President Obama ever accept responsibility for something… – anything?
(Chuck Green is a veteran Colorado journalist and former editor-in-chief of The Denver Post.)

      • Thomas G Kroger

Clarence Swinney is long on details, but short on comprehension.

Reagan had faults, chief of which was having the elder Bush as a running mate. Both Bush administrations have destroyed the Republican party; it is anybody’s guess as to whether it can be rebuilt into a genuine constitutional-conservative, and middle class party, and cease being the tool of oligarchs, which it now is, sad to say.

Clarence seems to want to return to the glory days of Clinton – a time when a group of religious dissenters were persecuted, then subsequently murdered by a bull-dyke Attorney General, an aggressive predatory lesbian, using tanks and military hardware, in violation of Posse Commitatus. A time when not a week went by without a new, fresh scandal erupting from inside the White House.

“Oh, no not that,” I’m sure he’d object. Well then, how about the glory days of Carter? The era of “stagflation.” All of this was guaranteed by the way the Vietnam War was financed. Remember when they stopped issuing real silver quarters, and began issuing “sandwich” quarters instead – debased cupro-nickel money tokens? How about LBJ raiding Social Security to finance the war? This dude Swinney suffers from selective memory.

Actually, it was Carter that left things in disarray. It took Ronald Reagan, and much belt-tightening under Paul Volker, to restore confidence to financial markets, and undo some of the damage Carter had done.

The stupidist thing Swinney does is resort to partisan politics. The taproot of our problems is our money system – the Federal Reserve -and no major party politician has the courage to come to terms with that monster. Except Ron Paul.

        • DaveH

And Ron Paul is really a Libertarian.

      • DaveH

        So much bull, Clarence.
Fact: The House of Representatives was controlled by Democrats for the entire eight years of Reagan’s presidency. The House of Representatives is responsible for initiating the spending bills.
Fact: Reagan vetoed 78 bills. More than any other President in the last 50 years. Twelve percent of those vetoed bills were overridden.

Yes, members of his own party fought to continue the budgetary excesses. But there was no resistance to the spending at all from the Democrats.

  • DOGS FIGHT

Well, it will be nice to see just how “hard” Rush bimbo’s, Michael “lol Savage”, and “the hannitizers” balls are in their respective sacks when they are forced to shut up by law. No doubt, they will quit like little babies long before Nazi American military terror troops are ordered to storm the EIB network and other places and shoot to kill while they are on air. Me, so help me God, if I was into talk radio, I would speak right up until the moment that I was bleeding, hoping that my message would be made apparent to millions of listeners as I cough blood in my dying speech.

We need to force these people through civil disobedience to show just how nasty they are willing for things to get. Of course, the tea party, being the little school girls they are, will give up and proceed to the gas chambers ultimately. Americans have no balls in their sacks. The rich and powerful will be permitted to bath in raw naked power.

    • Angel Wannabe

dogs fight, well sir_since your sword is drawn are you willing to strike the first blow?

      • DOGS FIGHT

Clearly, I said I wouldn’t as I implied, trying to speak while coughing up blood, that I would be the victim. I believe in hard core, MLK JR and Ghandi style civil disobedience. Cvil disobedience that forces the government to display how ugly and vile they are by firing first. In others words, not some wussy sign waving every 6 months that ultiamtely does nothing by the “tea party”.

        • DOGS FIGHT

Civil disobedience means breaking the law, disrupting, etc., and doing everything in your peaceful power to protest EXCEPT violence. It worked for blacks through MLK JR and for Indians through Ghandi.

          • Angel Wannabe

DOGFIGHT, I will defend to the death my family and whats mine, but I’d never strike the first blow…

          • DaveH

Yet, you dissed the Tea Partiers who are doing just that.

    • Mary

Sometimes I believe some women have more balls than men in this country. That’s one of the many signs of a decadent country. I think if the people is push as hard as you think they may start using their brains. I believe everybody have the right to defend themselves and their family. I believe history repeat itself. Nobody will leave this world alive. I will not go to anyplace where the government wants me to go without a fight or alive. Government cann’t be trusted. I say to my children be a men. No cowards are allow in my house. If the day comes and you have to choose between slavery or die for your freedom, die like a men. If you going to die take as many bastards as you can with you. That will make me the proudest mother in the world. Talking about the radio hosts I think Dr. Savage audience is the one with more balls. The others I really don’t think much of them. My grandfather use to say this: ” The most dangerous men is not the rich one, is the one that has nothing to loose but his life”

Angel – You bring up one of my really pet peves these days.

Everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE in the political arena, including Republicans, continually refer to our nation as a “democracy”. I’m thinking this isn’t just misspeak.

There is vast difference between a democracy and a republic, yet they’ve been acting for some time now as if they were the same, or if we do, indeed, live in a democracy. I assume this is because that is what the dumbed-down masses have come to believe.

I would like for them to make this correction. This is important to our Republic. I wonder how we can get this message across to them.

          • Angel Wannabe

Kate8, I guess we do what the Liberals do, and keep repeating it, til its becomes the truth!_-which incidentally it is truth, we are a republic not a democracy!

They got what the wanted, after 9-1-1, with the “Patriot” Act, the DHS, and the TSA.

Their intentions are obvious: to disarm us, and to merge us into a totalitarian world system that they mean to control.

Anyone too stupid or blind to see this by now…well, what can I say? Don’t say you weren’t warned.

  • Richard

Many of us patriotic conservatives have known for a long time what the mind set of liberals is. Now, following the tragedy in Tucson, the liberals’ true colors are showing for all the world to see, and that’s a good thing. We, The People—ALL OF US—need to see what we are up against in trying to put our government back into its constitutional limits. AND WE MUST STAND UP AGAINST THE TYRANNY that the liberals are seeking to subject us to. They are trying to subvert our founding document and we MUST NOT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT!

Live free or die. Castaway (above me) is right. Americans are WHIMPS!! People from around the world watch us do nothing!!! N O T H I N G!! November elections didn’t mean squat!! The entire political process has been set up to fail us in every way! Republicans and Democrats are the exact same. The good Republicans can’t achieve anything…as long as they “work together”. We own Washington, yet we let them torture and manipulate us with mind games year after year after year. To hell with Washington and all of it’s fakes and sellouts. I’m all about going to the direct sources of the evil. ((the Federal Reserve private bank, the United Nations, the World Health Organization, the Council On Foreign Relations, the Bilderberg Group, the Trilateral Commission ect))
We the people need to all yell and scream and fight loud and hard!! The more you try to squash me, the more you will regret it. Soon George Soros and the Feds will have pushed us too far using their favorite puppet Barry Soetoro (aka: Mr Obama…a former CIA operative) but it will be too late. All that’s left to do is to cry because we’re too scared to GET LOUD AND VIGILANT!! All my fingers point to George Soros! Spread the word on this guy to everyone you know because most people don’t even know who he is! We are letting this man call all the shots! Yes, there are people more elite than this man, but he is the man to get rid of. He funds all the crazy crazy liberal left socialist programs and foundations. He’s untouchable by laws and believes it’s okay to play God. Don’t take my words…look up his own words. Research him if you don’t know who he is. Get his name out everywhere no matter how you do it. Pollute your friends and family with his name. He is behind almost everything evil and a member of the United Nations. (Anyone who supports the UN ought not to be living in these United States in my strong opinion.) Live free or die…not just here, but everywhere on Earth. No one owns you except you.

I have looked through our filters and find no “huge paragraph” caught there. Perhaps you posted in another article or under another name and just don’t see it. Perhaps you hit the wrong button or there was a technical glitch. As long as you don’t violate the terms listed above or include multiple links posts are allowed to stand.

      Best wishes,

Do these liberal/progressives (really do not know what to call them anymore maybe a Wolf in Sheep’s clothing) think the American People are really that stupid? My reasoning is simple when it comes to these traitors (which means they are willing to ignore the Constitution when it fits their agenda, when they have sworn to uphold and defend it), whatever they promote is the exact opposite of the name, it seems to work every time for example the Fairness Doctrine is the Unfairness Doctrine, Education Department is the Destruction of Education, Energy Department takes away our energy and so forth, it also works when these people speak, whatever they promote is the exact opposite of what they intend, my philosophy seems to work most of the time! Stay the course this will take much longer to transform our country back to the principled nation we used to be!

  • http://charter howe

In respense to DOG FRIGHTS post of January 13, I would like to say that the operative word in your Marxist rant is LAW. That means there should be no place in America where it is OK to have a LAW that undermines the Constitutional right of free speech as Congressman Clyburn AKA Pelosi’s attack dog would suggest. President Obama gave an eloquent speech in Arizona to eulogize the sad events of the mass killing, but civility is not always possible between the socialist democratic liberal progressives and the conservative Republican base. Adjustments and compromise is too much of a bitter pill to swallow for most politicians and passionate constituents. These differing ideologies have a tendency to create much devisiveness which in turn escalates into uncontrolled vitriol on both sides of the political issues. After spending 29 years in the military, I can tell you that I whole-heartedly support the Constitution and the laws of the land. As an independent I believe that social programs are important to help the poor and needy, but I do not believe that mass entitlements at the taxpayers expense is the right thing to do. I.E. Obamacare. I always wanted to learn all I could and work hard so that I could someday be rich, but the liberals think that being rich is evil. These evil rich people who at one time were creative enteprenuers that took risks with their savings, worked hard and were rewarded with financial blessings are creating more than half of the private sector jobs in America. The lazy entitlement crowds manages to howl loud enough to start a freakin riot as they demonize anyone who has been successful. The Tea Party consists of all segments of society and they are pushing back on bad legislative policy and political advancement to a socialist agenda which will tear down our Constitution and take away our freedoms. The Tea Party is a movement not a political party and what their agenda represents is lower taxes, smaller govt and a govt that listens and responds to WE THE PEOPLE. In closing sir; may I suggest that you are the one with no BALLS, because you are not engaged enough to know what’s going on in our country and if you did, you would try to be part of the solution and not the problem.

    • DaveH

Good speech, Howe, but I have to disagree with you on this point — “As an independent I believe that social programs are important to help the poor and needy”.
It is not the Government’s money to give. Period. No excuses.

We have a tragedy in AZ and out of left field come Gun Control and Freedom of Speech; do these people have no shame? When all the major network news stations come out with the exact same talking points just after the incident then there is only one conclusion and now it is very easy to see. I have lost all faith with our government and news media; it used to be that if your ratings did not support your program you were off the air, how do these programs stay in business? Maybe the media is now the same as our financial instructions, no fear to fail since they know they will be bailed out. By the way where did all that money go from the bailouts, hum?

    • Shibamom

I’m with you Patriot. As soon as the word was about the tragedy in AZ, the first thing I thought was liberals are going to start trying to take away guns and free speech…AGAIN!!! Will this crap ever end???

      • DaveH

No. But we can continue to expose them for what they are until the majority of people have waken up. For too many years people have refused to debate the Liberals in their workplaces or other gatherings because they don’t want to get involved with the inevitable personal attacks and other manipulative Liberal tactics. It’s time to get over that, and give them back what they give us. No more cowering.

I like Ben’s 2016 news article. The sad thing is that the Dems start things such as back-room deals and then get upset when the GOP follows suit. At one time the President would appoint only the top people to his various departments. Clinton took it further, appointing lower members, and then the Dems were upset when they were replaced by the GOP later.

All I can think to say is luck for congressman James Clyburn the freedom act was debunked and MLK was able to say what he thought. Our rights are not up for grabs and I sick of hearing these elected officials that swore to uphold the constitution trying to put it down and change it around to fit their own agenda. If all of them were doing the job they should be doing, non of them would be thinking about this kind of change. And if anyone thinks that any of the puppet presidents that we have had after Kennedy are playing for their team, guess again! They are all in the same bath tub! Whats wrong with the fairness doctrine is that it does not belong in America! We already have a rule book, The Constitution of the United States of America! End of story!

I wonder how many people realize that the US Constitution is the Govt Rule book more then our rule book?

      On that Note,
One HUGE problem is the 14th amendment. If you Understand basic ‘Rules of Creation” which Law does follow, the “Creator” is never servent to the “created”. Hence-> We the People “Created Congress” and that was perfect UNTIL the 14th Amendment where Congress created a US CITIZEN who is “SUBJECT TO” laws, etc…where does that put Congress and where does that put you and me?

Make no mistake….they are actually following the rules (Not that I approve mind you) and I’ll bet you if you were to propose repealing the 14th amendment they would fight you HARDER then ending the FED!

I think Congress simply has too much time in Washington. All of the politicians, regardless of sides, play the “Game”. The fact that this ‘game’ of theirs actually causes the rest of us serious problems doesn’t seem to concern or bother them.

This is a prime example of their “game”. He wants simply to cause the right problems with getting their own propaganda out to the people. And he doesn’t care what problems it might cause to anyone except the GOP. It is all in the “game”. He might make a few more points.

We need politicians on both sides that are more interested in serving we the people than in playing a “game”.

They aren’t unless the vaccine is worthless, and in that case why force them to take it?

He is now beginning to show some semblance of common sense since his Socialist agenda did not work and understands he needs to reverse course before this country becomes a financial disaster. It may already be too late.

    • DaveH

The only semblance of common sense that Obama is showing is the knowledge that he will soon be out of office if he doesn’t pretend to be something he isn’t.

      • kate8

DaveH – Now the libs in Congress are screaming that the Obamacare debate be postponed for at least several weeks. They say it would be “insensitive” to debate it in light of the Tucson tragedy.

WTH? Government is supposed to come to a stop because of the shootings? Yet, they can push for the fairness doctrine and gun bans. These have been going on on CSPAN also.

I hope the conservatives don’t cave on this. This is an outrage. They are playing this for all it’s worth. If we postpone healthcare debates, anything could happen to prevent them.

        • DaveH

Amazing, isn’t it Kate, how they will gnash their teeth when one of theirs gets killed (or almost), but they have no problem at all trying to make us defenseless against evil people? Our lives mean nothing to those creepy leaders.

Hussein Obama is a THUG!!!!. The commie-crats celebrated and held a party after this tragedy so they could attack Palin and the Tea Party. That crap last night was a campaign rally and fundraiser not a memorial. CHICAGO THUGGERY AND THUG IN Chief Hussein Obama at his finest hour.

Liberals, as the old saying goes, “Be careful what you wish for, you just may get it.”

  • Nuts

SC should be very proud to have such a Imbecile to represent them. People like that are what’s wrong with this country. I only hope some day congress will quit trying to protect us in all the wrong ways! There is not enough collective intelligence in Washington to make any improvements to the constitution. They need to all take an extended vacation, we’ll tell them when to come back! The American people are smart enough to sort out what is fair and what is not. Who is going to decide what’s fair anyway? Someone like this goofball? If the constitution don’t support it, don’t do it! That’s pretty simple. Too simple for someone like James Clyburn.

jopa “just a pinheaded a$$” remember Blackhawk down, 2 of my children were on the runway to go to Mogadork Land, as Ranger Transcorp supporters, were coming in right behind the first team. Clinton, the draft dodger, with no experience, except for forceable raping females. He decided not to let the troops use armored choppers. He called the ill fated use of no amored helios against the druggy vine swingers. Again the liberal bastard in Cheif caused needless deaths. He was told by military advisors, the first guys going in needed armored carriers, and the old socialist mantra, of the thugs might feel threatened was Whorehound comment. So just go talk to the idoits, jump a lot of rope, and we will all get along. The mess of 9/11, was the result of a combination of leech lawyers like Whorehoud, Dike Janet Reno and her socialist assistant, of putting up road blocks to keep agencies from sharing information on muslim morons and crimminals from all over the world, as well as just plain stupidity. Nazi Soros Socialists Party slubs just can barely wait to see our country go down in defeat with assine regulation, every Soros Socialist follow the blue print laid out by dinks like, Alinski, Marx, Mao, or any other sorry braindead dictator jackass. Talking about civil disobedance and not obeying laws, what f–king morons does this country have running around?

Personally I believe anything that curtails free speech is wrong, though I personally see nothing wrong with not allowing people to yell “fire” in a crowded theater. However I must suggest Mr. Crystal not attempt to paint this issue as one of left vs right. I feel fairly certain that people from both sides of the spectrum are against hateful rhetoric or against what is believed to have contributed to the shooting in Tuscon. Even if only democrats support this bill it still dose not translate this issue into one of being left vs right or liberal vs conservative. You have every right Mr Crystal to disagree with Congressmen Clyburn and to criticise the democratic party for supporting him. However when you start using generalized terms like liberals or suggest that democrats are deliberatly trying to assault the bill of rights I believe you lose credibility.

The puppet master is enjoying Americans fighting over free speech Soros has done this to other smaller nations and is enjoying the game. I pray you will give this some thought. HE HAS OTHER THINGS IN STORE FOR US. pRAY FOR WISDOM.

Mr. Soros needs to have a head to head meeting with Mr. Nozler. That will get his mind straight.

Congressman’ Clyburn’s phone needs to ring, ring, ring ring and let him know we are not giving away our freedom by enforcing the abragation of the 1st. Amendment on the Bill of Rights . Let’s net work it by getting his Congressional Phone number, each of us gets 5-10 people to call and next thing you know, they become frustrated and they give up. I know that it works; the congressional Switchboard is: 202-224-3121 and Fax is, 202-225-3121. Becareful how you dial, only one digit is different from the fax. I am starting tomorrow by e-mail, phone and fax.

Thanks for your spirit to help protect our Constitution’s Bill of Rights.

ON CLINTON: He should have been impeached out of office when he failed to protect our soldiers from having been draggaed on the streets of Mogadishu (forgive my spelling). I didn’t hear any liberals screaming against such atrocities. Did you, eddie47d? And ,please, respond with facts.

Thank you, Clarence Sweeney, for your.. ..get to the point facts. Well done.
