Woman Seeks Funding For Stain-Proof Children’s Clothes

NEW YORK (UPI) — A New York woman who used nanotechnology to create “kids clothes that just don’t stain” is raising funds for her invention on website Kickstarter.

Penina First, an Israeli-American with a background in chemistry, biology and biotechnology, said the No More Bibs clothing she wants to create if she is successful in raising $40,000 in her Kickstarter campaign are made from cotton and use nanotechnology to have the outer layer of the fabric turn into a liquid repellent surface.

“Kids clothes that just don’t stain: No More Bibs,” the Kickstarter page reads.

“Repels 99 percent of the liquids a child will be exposed to including chocolate, ice cream, mud, blood, drool, paint, oil and so much more,” the page reads.

The campaign had raised more than $4,000 Monday with 22 days remaining to reach the $40,000 goal.
