Self-proclaimed urban gun enthusiast Colion Noir explains that Americans can’t have a meaningful discussion about guns because the “political gang leaders” tell members of both parties what they are supposed to think rather than allowing for independent observation.

“As far as I’m concerned, the gun transcends political lines,” Noir said in his recent commentary for the NRA’s news wing.

“Blacks, whites, Asians, Spanish, gay, straight, conservative or liberal— everyone has the right to defend themselves,” he continued. “And just because you choose to use a gun to do it, doesn’t mean your social political identity is a given.”
