Warmongering Republicans Support Obama

House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on Syria in Washington, D.C.

You’ve heard the story that Nero fiddled while Rome burned. I guess the modern equivalent is playing poker on your smartphone while debating going to war.

That’s what Senator John McCain (R-Ariz.), the top hawk on the Republican side of the aisle, was caught doing three days ago, during a hearing by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. The Barack Obama Administration’s top guns were there to testify in favor of a resolution authorizing a military strike against Syria.

McCain later joked about his lapse: “As much as I like to always listen in rapt attention constantly with the remarks of my colleagues over a three-and-a-half-hour period, occasionally I get a little bored.”

Hey, who wouldn’t, after hearing Secretary of State John Kerry’s fumbling, bumbling testimony? Bet you’d also be desperate for any sort of distraction if you had to sit through several hours of mumbo-jumbo like the response Kerry gave to the question: “[A] prohibition for having American boots on the ground — is that something that the administration would accept as part of a resolution?”:

Mr. Chairman, it would be preferable not to, not because there is any intention or any plan or any desire whatsoever to have boots on the ground. And I think the president will give you every assurance in the world, as am I, as has the secretary of defense and the chairman. But in the event Syria imploded, for instance, or in the event there was a threat of a chemical weapons cache falling into the hands of al-Nusra or someone else and it was clearly in the interest of our allies and all of us, the British, the French and others, to prevent those weapons of mass destruction falling into the hands of the worst elements, I don’t want to take off the table an option that might or might not be available to a president of the United States to secure our country.

Kerry was accompanied by Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel and Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The trio had trudged up to Capitol Hill to seek support for a resolution authorizing military action in Syria. Kerry almost blew it when he suggested that the resolution shouldn’t rule out the deployment of U.S. troops. He was forced to “clarify” his remarks:

Well, let me be very clear now because I don’t want anything coming out of this hearing that leaves any door open to any possibility. So let’s shut that door now as tight as we can. All I did was raise a hypothetical question about some possibility — and I’m thinking out loud — about how to protect America’s interests. But if you want to know whether there’s any — you know, the answer is, whatever prohibition clarifies it to Congress and the American people, there will not be American boots on the ground with respect to the civil war.

Kerry was also asked if all the various intelligence agencies came to the same conclusion: that Syria had used chemical weapons against its own citizens. He replied: “To my knowledge, I have no knowledge of any agency that was a dissenter or anybody who had, you know, an alternative theory.” No wonder McCain would rather play poker!

Meanwhile, Kerry’s boss was in Stockholm, Sweden, en route to a G-20 meeting in St. Petersburg, Russia. Obama tried to deny that he was the one who drew a “red line” regarding the use of chemical weapons. The present confrontation isn’t his fault, he insisted; it’s “the world’s” fault.

First of all, I didn’t set a red line. The world set a red line. The world set a red line when governments representing 98% of the world’s population said the use of chemical weapons are [sic] abhorrent and passed a treaty forbidding their use, even when countries are engaged in war.

Of course, that’s not what the President said last year, as The Wall Street Journal pointed out. On Aug. 20, 2012, he issued the following warning:

We have been very clear to the Assad regime, but also to other players on the ground, that a red line for us is we start seeing a whole bunch of chemical weapons moving around or being utilized. That would change my calculus. That would change my equation.

Oh, and if you won’t agree that the whole mess is the world’s fault, Obama had some other culprits to blame: You, me and his favorite whipping boy, Congress.

The President actually declared: “My credibility is not on the line. The international community’s credibility is on the line.” And he added, “America and Congress’s credibility is on the line, because we give lip-service to the notion that these international norms are important.”

McCain had already declared his fervent support for letting the missiles fly.

Now that a resolution is going to be before the Congress of the United States, we want to work to make that resolution something that majorities of the members of both houses could support. A rejection of that, a vote against the resolution by Congress, I think would be catastrophic, because it would undermine the credibility of the United States of America and of the President of the United States. None of us want that.

Wrong again, Senator! Even after weeks of hearing about the Syrian president’s “crime against humanity” for using chemical weapons against his own citizens, 50 percent of Americans still oppose taking military action against Syria. That’s according to the latest NBC News poll, which found that only 42 percent of Americans support a military response.

Nevertheless, at the end of the hearing, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee approved a resolution authorizing the President to use limited military force against Syria. No boots on the ground, you understand. No forcing Bashar Assad out of office. No, all we’re going to do is to “degrade” Assad’s ability to wage war on his own citizens.

No doubt, a majority of Democrats will meekly agree to give the President the war-making power he wants — even though many of them screamed to high heaven when Obama’s predecessor in the Oval Office sought Congressional approval for waging war against Saddam Hussein. Does anyone remember that Joe Biden and Obama were among the most fervent in their opposition? Biden even threatened to lead impeachment efforts against George W. Bush over the issue. But that was then and this now.

McCain’s shilling for the war resolution probably won’t affect the outcome in the Senate, where the Democratic majority will carry the day. If the measure is going to be defeated, it will have to happen in the House.

Sadly, the Republican leadership there is already on record as supporting military intervention in Syria. House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said: “I’m going to support the president’s call for action. I believe that my colleagues should support this call for action.”

And House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) said in a statement: “I intend to vote to provide the President of the United States the option to use military force in Syria.”

We’ll find out next week if enough members of Congress will say “no” to taking military action against Syria. Do you know how your Representative will vote? Now would be a very good time to find out. And let him know how you feel.

Until next time, keep some powder dry.

Keep up the good fight fellow patriot. Sounds like something from the Book of Revelation. If we land troops in Syria, there are a few things they are not telling the American people.
      1. Russia has warships in a navl base in Syria.
      2. Russia is sending anti-ship missiles to Syria.
      3. Russia has troops on the ground.
      4. Iran may be preparing to send troops to Syria to fight the rebels.
      5. Since Syria is also allied to China and North Korea, would they get involved?
      6. Israel would be involved.
      7. Would other Muslim nations come to the aid of Syria?
      8. Would we take chemical weapons from the rebels also, since there is evidence that it was the rebels that were responsible for the gas attack in Damascus?
Many more things that the 5th column (libturds and progturds) have not told the public. Here are so0me articles about Syria and John “Flip Flop” Kerry.

Sorry for taking so long fellow patriot, but the system dumped a response to you. Why? Who knows. The only thing that I respect McCain for is his service in Vietnam. Other than that, nothing. The man was once a republican, but now is a RINO and member of the 5th column. The others you have mentioned are, as my youngest son would say, the devil’s spawn. Step back and think about this for a second. The US, since WWII, has amassed the strongest military and military technology the world has ever seen. Six hundred US outpost across the globe, 25 percent of our government spending (US taxpayer dollars that is),and more money spent on our military than the 16 top military powers, including Russia and China, ‘COMBINED’. Military research and development accounts for 65 percent of the worlds research and development. Look, our nation, our government, our economy is dependent on war. We just can’t make this stuff, we have to use it, it’s economics stupid! Besides, as long as our government has a target outside the US, they won’t point their weaponry on us i.e. drones, the NSA spying apparatuses etc. So as you can see, we have become war mongers, we need this! That said, have we lost our moral compass, you betcha. Will this lead to our quick demise, as in Rome, you betcha. Will we suffer the consequences of an out of control government, just look around.

What gives this nation the right to attack another nation which HAS NOT attacked the US? I learned in history class that always in the past America would only attack another nation IF this country were attacked first, ie: Japan attacking Pearl Harbor! Has America become the aggressor nation in the world? Who appointed America to be the policeman of the world’s nations? History shows that aggressor nations usually come to a violent end. Will this be the future of America?
President Washington in his farewell address warned America about becoming entangled in foreign alliances and wars. Now, America has become the most aggressive nation in the history of the world.
America, the hand writing is on the wall: your end is near!

Wow. I think you have missed a lot of U.S. History – especially since WW II.

    • Larry

We have boxed ourselves in a corner, the hand writing is on the wall and we can’t see it because we are looking down at the red line.
Not going to be a pretty end either.

He also said about not taking morality and religion out of government. The person who tries to do this, Washington said that said person is no patriot. Ooops! This means I just called the whole group of left wing wackos traitors. Here is an article showing Sarah Palin destroying Obama bin Laden.

(One of my favorites which seems prophetic in truth, directly related to your comment)

“And now, friends and countrymen, if the wise and learned philosophers of the elder world, the first observers of nutation and aberration, the discoverers of maddening ether and invisible planets, the inventors of Congreve rockets and Shrapnel shells, should find their hearts disposed to enquire what has America done for the benefit of mankind? Let our answer be this:

America, with the same voice which spoke herself into existence as a nation, proclaimed to mankind the inextinguishable rights of human nature, and the only lawful foundations of government. America, in the assembly of nations, since her admission among them, has invariably, though often fruitlessly, held forth to them the hand of honest friendship, of equal freedom, of generous reciprocity.

She has uniformly spoken among them, though often to heedless and often to disdainful ears, the language of equal liberty, of equal justice, and of equal rights.

She has, in the lapse of nearly half a century, without a single exception, respected the independence of other nations while asserting and maintaining her own.

She has abstained from interference in the concerns of others, even when conflict has been for principles to which she clings, as to the last vital drop that visits the heart.

She has seen that probably for centuries to come, all the contests of that Aceldama the European world, will be contests of inveterate power, and emerging right.

Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be.

But she goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy.
She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all.
She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.

She will commend the general cause by the countenance of her voice, and the benignant sympathy of her example.

She well knows that by once enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication, in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy, and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standard of freedom. The fundamental maxims of her policy would insensibly change from liberty to force…. She might become the dictatress of the world. She would be no longer the ruler of her own spirit….”

This should pretty much solidify what we have all been saying for well over five years now that the office of the “president” and the congress does not care one little bit what the people that they are elected to “represent” feel…. obama has set his feet in concrete on this issue of a war with Syria and he is already viewed as a wimpy bully by 95% of the worlds population ( excluding his fringe left ) so now any action that obama takes will have catastrophic consequences.

  • Doc Sarvis

I don’t think that we should attack Syria for a number of reasons.
I do think that Congress is getting a hard sell from the Administration, the Defense Industry, and from the Neocon Chicken Hawks from the previous administration.
I assume that “secret information” that we citizens are not allowed to see for “security” reasons, will be used as justification for a vote to launch a limited attack on Syria.
I doubt that a limited attack will prevent further atrocities and will likely do more harm than good in our relations in the region.
I know that our country and others have war fatigue (thanks to Iraq and Afghanistan and the Neocons again) which also plays into the U.S. public’s reluctance to step in when we have on other occasions.
Lastly, I think that if we are (rightly) horrified by the use of chemical weapons for humanitarian reasons we should do something with positive humanitarian results such as giving aid to the million plus Syrian refugees. While that will not deter another use of chemical weapons (which a military strike will not either) by whoever used them in the first place, it will be a positive thing to the Syrian people as opposed to killing innocent people.

    • Doc Sarvis

I also think that IF President Obama had chosen NOT to promote a “limited strike” that most folks on this site would have criticized him for not taking action. President Obama was not going to win in this forum.

      • Don 2

And should the House vote against Obama’s wishes for a limited and useless military strike, it will of course become the new story and Democrat talking points, that it was all because the Republicans are racist against our black president. That is the story Obama is hoping for in time for the 2014 elections.

Why is everyone so up tight and debating who’s right or wrong…we shouldn’t do this or that…it’s the Dem’s fault or the Repub’s fault…i see people here mention God but no one seems to understand that this is all about God and Good against Evil! All these things happening in the middle east are about prophecy and the Bible. It is gearing up for the final battle to take place. Obama has to bring war and chaos and financial ruin to the world. He is putting in place the leaders of all the middle east countries (bad guys) who will join forces when the time comes to attack Israel. Once in place, Obama, the Anti-Christ, will bring peace to the world and the world will bow to this man thinking all have been saved! Then Armageddon takes place and Christ comes back and truly saves the world, or at least those who want to be saved!!! So go on debating politics and the worlds’ problems and who’s fault it is while Evil continues to fulfill prophecy… and you all are distracted by meaningless BS! We will not know the hour or the day…but be prepared for HE is coming!!!

Winston Churchill said “There is no middle ground in war”, so if we go in, we should go in full force & take this bastard out & set up a free govt. & elections, etc….Oh, darn, that did not work out so well in Iraq did it? Anyhoo, it makes no sense at all to go in half-ass either, and as Rand Paul said to support a “stalemate” both sides hate us….let’s give some aid to the poor people that are now refugees & suffering the loss of their homes & physical injuries & NO MISSILES, etc..let them kill each other… And as Rand Paul put it so bluntly, “we should not go in & put our precious soldiers in harm’s way so our govt. & leaders can save face”

May I remind everyone that Bush had cut off ties to Assad, but Obummer & Hillary re-connected & called Assad a real reformer, without any evidence he had changed & become a more magnanimous leader & Kerry The Merry Prankster had 2 dinners with him singing his praises…so what happened? Typical DEMs…they live on a fantasy island where just thinking or calling something transformed makes it so irregardless of any reality or facts & they get away with it because they know their lapdogs in the media will cover for them…They thought Obummer would charm Assad into being a good boy. It seems Obummer’s charming personality & radiant narcissism has not worked out so well in foreign policy!

The only good thing to come out of this so far is that Rand Paul’s stock has risen. He is the only man for the job in 2016!

I have a “novel” idea…why don’t we mind our own ****ed business for a change? One should NOT engage in a War(or whatever you want to call it)unless we or OUR interests are attacked or are in an imminent threat. Damn this starting Wars because of someones “ego” or trying to “save face”! War “per se” my ***! You chunk a “Tomahawk” at the U.S. and you think that is NOT an act of war? The last 2 wars have “bankrupted” us! The time for us to play “Police” to the world Friends is over! You cannot force Democracy down peoples throats with the barrel of a gun and you damned sure can’t do it if they’re Muslim! Three little words from now on should guide our fine leaders judgment whether to vote yay or nay on anything and those words are…WE ARE BROKE! How bout dealing with our own problems for now…GOD knows there are plenty of them. The so called “ACA” and being overrun by “illegals” alone is going to destroy this Economy AND this Country as we know it if something isn’t done soon. The problems here if not addressed are going to effect us far worse than any “tin horn” Dictator ever could!

      • Moshe McCarthy

Hey, I’m no supporter of Bush or most of GOP NeoCons either, but we are talking about Assad right now! It wasn’t that Kerry The Merry had dinner with him, it was that he came out of it saying what a great guy & praising all the freedoms he is giving his people, when it never happened…you know why he did that,? because Bush cut him off, so Kerry & Hillary & OBlahBlah say to themselves “Bush must’ve been wrong, because he is stupid & always wrong, so, we’ll go in there & charm him & get him to come around to us & WE will create a great reformer, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH”…never happened! The fact is that Bush 2 was a true lover of freedom & met quietly with 98 dissidents from around thew world & to a man & woman they all said he was very sincere in listening & offering help. Those 98 dissidents & freedom fighters he met were more than all the previous presidents combined. This was one of the best things he did as president

        • NC

MOSHE, how many people did bush, the great lover of freedom, jerk off the streets In Irag. put into prisons, deny them visits from family and lawyers, even ship them off to foreign prisons for years for god only knows what kind of torture and then after years of this SAYS TO THEM” WE ARE GOING TO FREE YOU BECAUSE WE DON’T ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO HOLD YOU MUCH LESS CONVICT YOU”
THAT IS HOW YOU MAKE MORE TERRORIST! WHAT DID HIS OWN GENERALS IN THE FIELD SAY BOUT WHAT WAS HAPPENING IN IRAQ??? ANSWER: “WE ARE MAKING MORE TERRORIST THAN WE ARE KILLING.””

Is this not the mother load as far as red herrings are concerned?

    Is anyone discussing list of never ending problems that the (not our) federal government refuses to address, such as;

    Illegal immigration

    The debt ceiling

Mass killings perpetuated by the continued existence of gun free zones
    Voter fraud

NSA spying upon the American people

DEA spying upon the American people

Gun running schemes to drug cartels and Al queda factions

Ambassador murdered in Libya and subsequent cover up by the CIA
IRS agency turning into a targeted hit squad by the executive branch
    etc, etc………….

I personally have been doing my best to keep good thoughts for our personnel sitting like ducks in the Meditteranean Ocean. Simply staging them there puts them at incredible risk even if our current tyrant does not initiate war with Syria.

If this is a simple diversion tactic to deflect attention away from his past actions then by god he sure did pick a large one, and one that could have incredibly bad consequences if someone moves the wrong way to fast.

The last time I can recall a major bombardment of an American ship was one that Reagan “staged” there after he got the 240 Marines killed in their barracks and the 63 people killed in the bombing of our embassy in Lebanon! That was just before “he cut and run!”

    September 3, 2013
Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on Syria.

Sen. Rand Paul Lecturing the Secretary of State:
“Make me proud today, Secretary Kerry. Stand up for us and say you’re going to obey the Constitution and if we vote you down —which is unlikely, by the way — you would go with what the people say through their Congress and you wouldn’t go forward with a war that your Congress votes against,“ Sen. Rand Paul said

Rand Paul ask johnny Al-kerry (the secretary of state) to be more specific on what the administration will to do if Congress votes against an intervention.

“I don’t know what the decision is, but I’ll tell you this … [pRresident] still HAS the Constitutional AUTHORITY (???) and he would be in keeping with the Constitution,” – johnny Al-kerry said.

But Rand Paul strongly and beautifully disagreed with johnny and continued to lecture the big and stupid boy johnny:

““[James] Madison was very explicit when he wrote the Federalist Papers,” he said. “He wrote that … the Constitution supposes what history demonstrates. That the executive is the branch most likely to go to war and therefore the Constitution vested that power on the Congress.”

“It’s explicit and runs throughout all of Madison’s writings. This power is a
congressional power and is not an executive power. … If we do not say that the Constitution applies, if we do not say explicitly that we will abide by this vote, you’re making a JOKE of us. You’re making us into theater. And so WE PLAY Constitutional THEATER FOR THE pRESIDENT.

And Al-kerry went to lie and fear mongering. (Yes, allah permits Muslims to lie.)

“If the United States of America does not hold him (Assad) accountable for
this … it’s a guaranty Assad will do it again. I guaranty … Secondly … We
understand what war means and we do not want to go to war … The pResident is asking for the authority to do a limited action. They will degrade the capacity
of the Tyrant, who has been using the chemical weapon to kill his own people.
It’s a limited. It’s a limited … We do not want to go to war in Syria either.
It’s not we here to ask … The pResident is not asking you to go to war. He is
not asking to declare war. He is not asking to send ONE American troop to war.
He simply saying we need to take an action that can degrade capacity of a man, who is willing to kill his own people by breaking nearly 100 year old prohibition … “ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02k2HU9MhjE

Johnny Al-kerry is a DEMONcratic LIAR.

Where is the proof that that was the “Tyrant” Assad who used the chemical weapons?

Russian President Putin calls johnny Kerry a LIAR for denying al-Qaida group in Syria and repeated Russia’s position that any use of military force against Syria without the approval of the U.N. Security Council would be an ACT OF AGGRESSION. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2

Vladimir Putin said Russia may approve military operation in Syria IF Damascus is proven to have carried out chemical weapons attacks and UN authorises it.

If my information is correct; both of Ted Cruz’s parents were American citizens at his birth. I believe this constitutes the definition of natural born citizen.

  • Dave

Lets not forget… This is all Obama’s doing and fault goes to Obama ultimately for this crminal act if it goes down…..But I do find it interesting where the GOP’s priorities are…
    So lets review…
We have NO money for infrastructure
We have NO money for the poor
We have NO money for the middle class
We have NO money to be put towards better HC for all our people….
That they will block, stall, try to defund etc…
But war with a country that has not attacked us and is a ZERO SUM GAIN for the United States…. That they will approve and get though congress in the span of 72 hours…
This is the product of big money in the political process folks….

    • Moustache The First

WHOA!! We have spent plenty of money on all those things over the years, but we have not spent it WISELY, and there has been too much waste!! That is why we are broke & things have not gotten done, the Federal bureaucracy is too big to be managed correctly & to stop the fraud & redundant spending, this is a problem that cuts across party lines….BUT,You have some nerve bringing up infrastructure…OBOZO’s stimulus was supposed to address that, right? Remember the shovel ready jobs that did not materialize….basically he gave most of the stimulus ot the states so they would not cut jobs of the public union workers, especially teachers…it was basically a way to kiss the butts of those who vote for this racist nut job globalist! That money is gone & the states are in worse shape now!

      • Dave

40% of the stimulus were tax cuts…
Funny after the stimulus passed, we started adding jobs but those little details mean nothing to you I get it… You have an agenda…
Most of the debt we hjave ammassed in the last 5 years is from two wars, the worst recession since the depression and additional tax cuts during war time that were dumb to begin with.

        • Moustache The First

Only the Loony Lib DEMs would call tax cuts money, part of a stimulus, it is not,…just like when instead of projected spending of 100 million is cut to 75 million, they say we cut spending…NO you cut the rate of spending, you did not cut spending!!!!

Hey, there are tens of millions not even looking for work, mainly because Obummer’s healthcare boondoggle has killed the recovery! Those are plain facts!

          • Dave

No they are not facts… they are your opinion colored by conservative propaganda… You can’t use something that wasn’t enacted yet.

          • Moustache The First

You miss the point completely…, it was the ominous spectre of its implementation & enactment and Obummer’s energy & tax policies as well that has caused millions of businesses to NOT hire or cut back

          • Dave

Sure thing… if you believe that load of BS, sure…
So the companies who don’t offer HC now are the engine that fuels the economy. Companies that do the right thing by their employees are minimally impacted… States that do the right by their citizens are going see their premiums drop…

          • Moustache The First

HAHAHA!! Ain’t no premiums dropping anywhere in this horrible piece of legislation…if you believe that I guess you also believe in the Great Pumpkin on Halloween!

“We’ll know what’s in it when it’s passed” said PE-LOUSY!!! We know now!

          • Moustache The First

BTW, our Nero-in-Chief also was no part of crafting this crappy bill, he just sat back & was not involved at all…he couldn’t give a rat’s ass about this nation or you or any else, but hid half-black ass!

        • DaveH

Shill Dave says — “40% of the stimulus were tax cuts”.
          Federal Revenues in 2009 — $2105 Billion.
          Federal Revenues in 2012 — $2450 Billion.

          Tax cuts?
As usual, Shill Dave hasn’t a clue.

      • Dave

Also, you may whine about the green energy firms and what a “waste” they were… That is conservative propaganda talking… The reality is of the firms that got funding from the stimulus, 8% have failed per CNN/Money and Tesla is set to revolutionize the auto market (they paid back all their Gov loans) and currently in the state of CA, a state they are selling in, they are outselling Porshe, Jaguar and many other luxury makes… All those companies that are working means jobs for people in this country…. I know you don’t want to hear that because in your mind Obama can do nothing right…
But I digress… We should not be anywhere near going to war in Syria and Obama and the conservatives in congress should be stopped.

        • Moustache The First

I agree we should not go anywhere near Syria except to help the refugees across the borders..But,Hey, aren’t there Loony Lib DEMs who want to go to war too? Who don’t want to cross their fearless leader? Truth is, if this was GOP prez doing same thing as Obozo, no DEMs would vote for strike!

What you fail to mention in the Green energy subsidies is the severe corruption, that many of the green companies got their money because they were big donors to Obozo! The impartial bean counters in govt. during Bush administration said this was bad investment,& Bush did not do it, but that did not stop Obummer!

Where was OBlahBlah on Open Fuel Standard Act, that could move us off petrofuels & towards greener sources? SILENT!!!!!

          • Dave

Yes there are but nothing gets approved unless the warmongering looney GOP approve… afterall… they have filibuster numbers in the Senate and majority in the House.

You tell me where in corp life or Gov life where things are perfect ok?

            From one of the co-sponsors:

ENGEL PRAISES OBAMA ADMINISTRATION FUEL STANDARDS PROPOSAL

            05/20/09

Washington, D.C.–Congressman Eliot Engel gave his full support to President Barack Obama’s proposal for new fuel and emission standards for cars and trucks, which is designed to save 1.8 billion of barrels of oil over the lifetime of the vehicles sold in the next five years. These tough environmental standards include a 35.5 miles per gallon fuel efficiency standard.

“The logical next step would be to provide for alternate fuel options as outlined in my Open Fuel Standard Act. When I met with President Obama at the White House last week, he told me he agreed with the philosophy of my proposed Open Fuel Standard legislation. My legislation requires flex fuel vehicles make up half of new automobiles by 2012, and 80% in 2015. I have been working to include these changes in the American Clean Energy and Security Act. I consider this requirement to be a key tool to free America from its addiction to foreign oil,” said Rep. Engel.

Flex fuel vehicles operate on gasoline, ethanol, and methanol, or biodiesel Alcohol fuels such as ethanol and methanol can be made from a wide variety of domestic energy resources including agricultural waste, energy crops, natural gas, coal, and trash. The CEOs of the Big Three auto companies have repeatedly stated their willingness to commit to making 50% of new cars flex fuel vehicles by 2012.

The President’s plan would save 1.8 billion barrels of oil through 2016, comparable to taking 177 million cars off the road over the next six and a half years. New vehicles would be 30 percent cleaner and more fuel-efficient by the end of the program.

“The President sees an opportunity to not only improve our environment and our national security, but also to revolutionize our auto industry at a time when it is teetering on the brink. By using this situation to require a more fuel efficient fleet of cars from American automakers, we can help the auto industry thrive, while doing our part to reverse the advance of global warming,” said Rep. Engel.

“I join with the President in making improvements to our automobile fleet a priority and I am encouraged by this step. The logical next step would be to provide for alternate fuel options as outlined in my Open Fuel Standard Act, to accompany the new emissions standards. I intend to continue pursuing this important legislation,” added Rep. Engel.

The legistaltion died in House committee… and who controls the House committee?
            Wait for it……
            The GOP

          • Moustache The First

That OFS was a bi-partisan bill, but Obama who is a very involved prez may have agreed with OFS, but he did nothing to really promote it & put pressure on it, so at least it got to a vote! Hey, why not another illegal executive order to add to his lawless litany?

1.8 billion barrels over 5 years????? PEANUTS!!!
Truth be told, the alternative green energy sources are out there, but the dark forces on both sides will not let it happen

          • Dave

LOL… Yes, the House of Representatives are so influenced by Obama’s influence as proven by all the bills that the House has passed….
But keep trying to hang that one on Obama… Its cute…

          • Moustache The First

See, it’s called leadership & this is what Obozo is lacking….to go outfront & make a logical case in front of the American people…did he do that on OFS? NOOOO.. In all his speeches on energy has he ever mentioned it? NOOOO…Did he put pressure on GOP in house to let it come to a vote? NOOOOOO…If he did all that & got stymied, I would tip my hat to him & say at least he tried…but ZIPPO….He does not really care about the people!

Most of his legislation has been shot down because it was either bad or anti-life or pro-homo!

          • Dave

LOL… sure whatever you need to believe… It could never be political and gamesmanship right? Nah…..

          • Moustache The First
          • Dave

Of course conservatives and the GOP care right?… I am sure you can illustrate all the wonderful things the GOP and Conservatives have done for the poor and middle class of the United States

          • Moustache The First

School vouchers, trying to save innocent life in the womb, lower taxes & less regulations upon small businesses so they can survive, trying to save us from the Pro-Homo agenda which will bring more ad karma to our nation, to name a few

          • Dave

Describe the “pro-homo” agenda for me please…..
Lower taxes? While spending went through the roof under conservatives… who is paying for that stupidity now?
Less regulation? Like the deregulation that allowed the big banks to screw the country?
Trying to save the life of some cells while telling them “you are on your own” once they emerge from the womb…
School Vouchers… great for the wealthy, not so good for the poor….

            But keep trying….

        • WTS/JAY

Dave: Now, because the crazies went to war via lies during the 00’s, we are not allowed to act in a moral vein against the horrors of chemical weapons, a use the UN verified ? Yeah yeah … the crazies deny they demanded everyone believe the lies if Bush Ii/Cheney … denying fact and reality does not change fact and reality folks ….

But a day ago, and posting under the moniker, Flashy, Dave had this to say; Flashy: “Now, because the crazies went to war via lies during the 00’s, we are not allowed to act in a moral vein against the horrors of chemical weapons, a use the UN verified ? Yeah yeah … the crazies deny they demanded everyone believe the lies if Bush Ii/Cheney … denying fact and reality does not change fact and reality folks “….

So which is it Dave, you lying hypocrite; are you for or against, going to war with Syria. Make up your mind, liar.

          • Dave

            Dipstick,

I have always maintained that the only valid reason to go to war unilaterally like this is if we are attacked…

We have not been attacked so if the world feels the need to act, let the UN do it with China in the lead… or let the Arab League handle their own mess for once.

Also you are a liar or mistaken:
            ***********

But then again, you always talk out of your hind quarters Jay.

          • WTS/JAY

It is a known fact that you post under multiple monikers, Dave, or whatever you choose to post under. You fool know one, you lying sack of you know what!

          • Dave

And you are a liar… I have been Dave here almost from the beginning … You ASSume… Too much doofus.

          • http://cowboybyte.com/ Alondra

            Dave, that was “ALMOST”.

So you just confirmed your multi-personality.
But any way, my dear Liberal krazy friend I love you ALMOST unconditionally.

Please in your reply be kind, even you’re devoted Liberal.

          • WTS/JAY

Of course, you have been Dave “almost” from the beginning, as well as scores of other aliases. You have also been lying and fabricating facts since the beginning, and you are very good at it. The Klan has trained you very well, and you should be very proud of yourself, Dave, or whoever you are. Just don’t expect to have any credibility here, Adolf. Hey, there’s another moniker you might be interested in using; “Adolf”, what do you think?

    • JeffH

Dave47D, are you so blind that you that can’t see that everything you noted isn’t exclusive to the GOP? It is all exclusive to the two party progressive elites in DC.

Both parties have seen to it that we don’t have the money and both parties have been financially stripping the middle class for decades.
Please tell all of us just what the ACA/Obamacare law does to strengthen and provide health care in America other than redistributing the wealth and stealing from the middle class, raping Medicare, excluding their crony partners, enriching Big Pharma, placing the burden on the states and making Medi-caid carry the bulk of the load while putting government bureaucrats in charge of rationing care to whomever they choose?

Are you happy that the IRS is one of the major government agencies overseeing the enforcement and collections for the ACA?

Do you believe that the government is even capable of controlling, monitoring and implementing a fair & balanced program such as the ACA?

Whether you would ever admit it or not…Obamacare is a financial windfall for the Democrats and their crony capitalist partners, a financial debacle for the middle class and a law that is being illegally amended by Obama himself.

Oh, BTW, thanks for not calling the GOP a conservative group…your honesty is noted.

      • Dave

Glad to see you are awake today Jeffrey Shootem up bang bang….
I have only been saying both parties are to blame the whole time I have been here if you have been paying attention, which you haven’t….
I was commenting on the fact that nothing gets passed in this Congress anymore since the GOP have hold of the filibuster in the Senate and control of the House… yet this BS on Syria gets run through and approved by Congress in 72 hours….
Since it is painfully obvious that you have not been paying attention, I want HC to go back to a relationship between the patientand doctor, I want insurance companies to be out all together… The employer-insurance company model is part of the problem. But listening skills is not one of your strong suits we know this….So… Maybe if I was DaveH8, it might sink in for you.

        • Brian

That’s right you did say both parties and you are right on target the average citizen has no say so I agree wake up Jeffery and get your head out of your you know what

          • JeffH

Brian, whoever you are, care to point out where both parties were blamed in Ignoramus Dave47D’s comment?

I see that small minds think alike and…like your partner, you can kiss my arse in the moonlight too!

          • KG

High comedy! You guys should write for NBC!

          • Dave

KG, they have their own TV show… Jay and Jeff are “Gumby and Gump”….
Two stupid guys trying to impress the operator of a extremist website so they can obtain free “dittohead” T-shirts… Watch them as the blather on about things they have little understanding of… Hilarity ensues when they are confronted with reality….

          • WTS/JAY

Oh look, the joke of the neighbourhood is trying to make a funny. Hey, KKK boy, humour is not your thing, stick to what you know best; burning crosses and killing babies. Now that’s, your forte…btw, what time is your Klan meeting tonight, and will Obama be presiding?

          • DaveH

Shill Dave is getting increasingly desperate.
His handlers must be threatening to bring in some monkeys to replace him.

          • Bill

            Kg,
Great comment fro a communist that quotes the bible.
Don’t forget your union phrase “The longer it takes, the more we make”

          • WTS/JAY

You know KG so well, Bill. Is he that transparent?

          • WTS/JAY

Brian is probably Dave coming to Dave’s support. How else can one explain the fact that both comments could only have come out of the mouth of a village idiot?

        • JeffH

Well Ignoramus Dave47D, I just don’t spend the time reading everything you say but I did read, and quite clearly I might add, what you said above and nowhere did I see you mentioning both parties…what I do see you consistantly doing is placing the greatest majority of our countries ills on the backs of conservatives, of which you also believe are all Republicans and also believe that all Republicans are conservatives.

I quote IgnoramusDave47D: “Considering that you just said “But I do find it interesting where the GOP’s priorities are…
          So lets review…
We have NO money for infrastructure
We have NO money for the poor
We have NO money for the middle class
We have NO money to be put towards better HC for all our people ”

Once again, you can twist it and turn it any way you want to but those are your “exact” words, not mine.

          • Dave

Obama is a Republican now Jeffrey shootem up bang bang?
Does any bills get passed without the GOP’s ok today Jeffrey shootem up bang bang?
Twisting and turning words… something you and your heros BobL, W.A.R, Myers know all too welll…

          • Dave

Obama is a Republican now Jeffrey shootem up bang bang?
Does any bills get passed without the GOP’s ok today Jeffrey shootem up bang bang?

          • JeffH

Speaking of twist and turn, Ignoramus Dave47D says in his own words “Obama is a Republican now(?)…”

Once again Ignoramus Dave47D’s own words clearly confirm just how ignorant he really is.

          • Dave

Shhhh Go back to sleep Jeffrey shootem up bang bang… DaveH will be back from his Von Mises electro-shock therapy session and he can give you a nice cuddle when he gets back…
You clearly are not yourself today… Gun range closed?

Oh listen to the KKK member, as if you didn’t have enough problems in life with your brains kicked out.

          • Bill

            Dave,
No, the ranges are still open today, just got back from shooting

          • JeffH

Bill, I’ll be hitting the skeet rage early tomorrow for my customary Saturday rounds.

Shill Dave says — “DaveH will be back from his Von Mises electro-shock therapy session”.

As usual, Shill Dave can’t get his story straight.
I am flattered though that he thinks I can be in two different places at the same time.

          • WTS/JAY

Obama’s has shown time and again that the GOP is not much of a hurdle for him to jump over, especially when it comes to foreign-policy, dumb dumb. Has your memory failed you, Dave, or are you just simply lying for the traitor in office?

          • Dave

            Poor Jay,
Racist and has nobody to play with… Don’t worry DaveH will be home soon from his Hitler youth rally. You, Jeffrey shootem up bang bang and DaveH can play dress up when he gets home….
Until them, continue to play Dungeons and Dragons in your mom’s basement… mommy’s upstairs no boogeyman will get you.

          • WTS/JAY

We rather enjoy toying with you, Dave. Although sometimes we feel a bit guilty abusing you; the village idiot. Thankfully, the guilt is short lived.

          • DaveH

Of course it’s the latter, Jay. Shill Dave is probably the best Shill they have. Of course that isn’t saying much since the Obama policies are indefensible, so even their best Shill is hopelessly bereft of logical debate.

          • JeffH

LOL! Don’t forget that he’s also very transparent…even a blind person can see right through him!

        • DaveH

Shill Dave says — “I want HC to go back to a relationship between the patientand doctor, I want insurance companies to be out all together”.
Then quit supporting Socialists, and quit buying insurance. It’s as simple as that, even for a nit-wit like yourself, Shill Dave.

      • WTS/JAY

If Dave had a brain, he’d be lonely. As it stands, he’s just clueless.

    • Brian

Exactly big defense business who run this country

    • WTS/JAY

Dave: Lets not forget… This is all Obama’s doing and fault goes to Obama ultimately for this crminal act if it goes down…..But I do find it interesting where the GOP’s priorities are…

No, you hapless half-wit, Obama is just the figure-head of a corrupt-establishment that is destroying our country. You are so unbelievably brain-dead, that if it wasn’t so sad, it would actually be funny. But there’s is nothing funny about a village idiot trying to explain how politics work. You haven’t a clue, and the rest of the imbeciles that voted for Obama, are just as clueless; because when they and you voted for Obama, you imbeciles actually voted for more of the same, business as usual. Is it any wonder that we are contemplating yet another middle-east incursion? When are you and the rest of kool-aid drinkers going to wake up?

      • Dave

Yawn… did you say something? racist….

        • WTS/JAY

          Go back to sleep, dumb-bell.

    The Middle East problem !!!

From ‘The Audacity Of Hope, President Obama proudly stated “I WILL STAND WITH THE MUSLIMS SHOULD THE POLITICAL WINDS OF WAR SHIFT IN AN UGLY DIRECTION..” He only left out one word after Muslims and it was the BROTHERHOOD .

The cause of the Middle East problem started with President Obama’s and Secutary of State Hillary Clinton’s foreifn policy. It’s aim was to overthrow the governments of these countries and install their friends the Muslim Brotherhood to power. It appears the President has allowed the Islamic Brotherhood to infiltrate our government. The President is acting in the interests of those who want to spread the ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood throughout the Middle East. Here are some of the Muslim Brotherhood members that have our President ear on the middle east.

The six people include: Arif Alikhan, assistant secretary of Homeland Security for policy development; Mohammed Elibiary, a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council; Rashad Hussain, the U.S. special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference; Salam al-Marayati, co-founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC); Imam Mohamed Magid, president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA); and Eboo Patel, a member of President Obama’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships.

Alikhan is a founder of the World Islamic Organization, which the magazine identifies as a Brotherhood “subsidiary.” It suggests that Alikhan was responsible for the “file of Islamic states” in the White House and that he provides the direct link between the Obama administration and the Arab Spring revolutions of 2011.

And is not Huma Abedin, excongressman Anthony Weiner’s wife, and aide to Sec of State Clinton, related to members of the Brotherhood?
The State Department — during Ms. Abedin’s tenure — has cozied up to Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the Muslim Brotherhood’s chief sharia jurist? Sheikh Qaradawi is a promoter of jihadist terror. His fatwas endorse terrorist attacks against American personnel in Iraq as well as suicide bombing — by both men and women — against Israel. He is a leading supporter of Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood’s Palestinian branch. Huma Abedin’s mother, Saleha, who is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood’s female division (the “Muslim Sisterhood”), is a major figure in not one but two Union for Good components. The first is the International Islamic Council for Dawa and Relief (IICDR). It is banned in Israel for supporting Hamas under the auspices of the Union for Good. Then there’s the International Islamic Committee for Woman and Child (IICWC) — an organization that Dr. Saleha Abedin has long headed. Dr. Abedin’s IICWC describes itself as part of the IICDR. And wouldn’t you know it, the IICWC charter was written by none other than . . . Sheikh Qaradawi, in conjunction with several self-proclaimed members of the Muslim Brotherhood.

It makes no difference whether the infiltration by MB is actively encouraged or allowed to happen. Obama and his minions are betraying our country. It is called treason.
I keep wondering if there are any true patriots left among our Congressmen , who are sopposed to support, protect and defend
our Constitution while representing the people of America !!!

    • NC

Joe, were you raised in a paper bag??? You say” the cause of the middle east problem STARTED with Obama and Hillary foreign policy! Did you sleep through the Jews terrorist practices against the British in the 30s and 40s? The foray of Reagan into Lebanon? The suez crisis? Reagans use of misslles and bombs in a middle east country? The bush I use of troops in the middle east before Obama?? The fact that there were US combat troops on the ground in two or three middle east countries BEFORE Obama and Hillary? This, just to name a few of the THINGS that occurred before Obama!!
None of that has had any effect on US relations with middle east nations??? Does your hatred for Obama and Hillary make you so blind as to TOTALLY DISREGARD THOSE FACTS IN HISTORY AND THEIR EFFECT ON HOW PEOPLE IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES MIGHT THINK ABOUT US?? JUST ASKING!!!

      • Robert Messmer

I would say the cause of the problem in the Middle East started about 1400 years ago. Suez crisis–you mean where Egypt illegally seized the Suez Canal and blocked international waters? Yes we responded and forced the opening of sea lanes. Reagan’s foray into Lebanon–you mean the bombing of barracks of the International Peacekeeping Force that was there because of yet another civil war in the Middle East? Reagans use of bombs in a Middle East country–that would be when he bombed Gaddafi in response to Gaddafi’s terrorists killing Americans. Bush I use of troops–International coalition of 34 nations authorized by the UN to drive Saddam out of Kuwait. Why are all of your examples, supposedly clearing Obama and Hillary of all blame, of Republican Presidents responding to action by Muslims AGAINST the US? Are you saying that we should not defend ourselves but it is permissible for Democrat President’s to attack with no reason to do so? Does your love of Obama and Hillary make you so blind as to TOTALLY DISREGARD THOSE FACTS OF TODAY AND THEIR EFFECT ON HOW PEOPLE IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES MIGHT THINK ABOUT US?? JUST ASKING!!!

        • nc

ROBERT DO YOU ABSOLVE ALL OF THE REPUBLICAN FOREIGN POLICIES SINCE WWII OF ALL THE ANIMOSITY TOWARD THIS COUNTRY IN THE MIDDLE EAST??? REALLY?? WHY DID THE GENERALS ON THE GROUND SAY BUSH POLICY IN Iraq WAS CREATING MORE TERRORIST THAN IT WAS KILLING?? JUST MAKING IT UP?? DO YOU THINK ALL OF THOSE PEOPLE HE JAILED AND TORTURED AND THEN RELEASED AFTER HE HAD DESTROYED THEIR LIVES ARE NOW DEAD OR could they STILL be alive and hating us with a passion? No?? They have forgotten it all and just hate us because of Obama and Hillary?? You are not serious, are you????????????Are you aware that adult independents read your post here???
It was not me who said ALL of the problems in the middle east were caused by Obama and Hillary! it was your wing nut brother that you are defending! I simply pointed out things that happened in the middle east that stood a good chance of influencing opinion against the US long before Big O and Hillary!!
If you care to discuss those acts of intervention by Republicans and Democrats and prove they had no influence on the opinions in that area just fire away!!

          • DaveH

Why is it always about Republicans vs. Democrats, NutCase, when we’ve made it clear time and again that it’s a Big Government thing?
It seems odd to me that you are constantly trying to make it an issue of which team we cheer, when in fact both teams are corrupt. But then, you’re odd, NutCase.

          • Robert Messmer

nc, no you did not say ALL the problems were caused by Obama and Hillary. What you did do was cherry pick some Republican incursions into the Middle East saying that they alone were responsible. I said the Middle East problem started about 1400 years ago, which I may be wrong,– predating either/both Republicans and Democrats at least in the US. The reason I did not say anything about President George W. Bush’s invasion is because you had not included it in your rant about all the terrible Republicans. But once again the Republican President went to Congress and got Congressional (including the Democrats) approval before taking action. {BTW 69 million not understanding sounds like a lot until you realize that the US population at the time was 305 million, which means 236 million were not confused.}Boots on the ground are the best way to minimize “collateral damage” and since the aim was to remove Saddam it could not be done with missiles.

NO, I DO NOT ABSOLVE ALL OF THE REPUBLICAN NOR THE DEMOCRAT FOREIGN POLICIES SINCE WWII OF ALL THE ANIMOSITY TOWARD THIS COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!! REALLY, I DON’T. Yes I am quite aware that independent adults read these posts, but apparently you aren’t or you wouldn’t resort to the use of capitals when they are not needed. So I have answered your questions, how about you answering mine? Are you saying that we should not defend ourselves but it is permissible for Democrat President’s to attack with no reason to do so? Why when you responded to joe1cr’s post did you not refute so much as a single point he raised? No, throwing a bunch of look what these people did is not an answer, the old thing about two wrongs not making a right. Even though you seem to be unaware of it, just the fact that we (America and Americans) exist is enough for the Muslim “extremists” to hate us.

        • nc

Robert, Can you explain why you stopped with your “examples” of “good” REPUBLICAN US intrusions into Middle east affairs without out explaining why it was So right that bush II WENT INTO Iraq AND Afghanistan WITH BOOTS ON THE GROUND?? THE LATEST AND BIGGEST INTRUSIONS BY REPUBLICANS INTO MIDDLE EAST AFFAIRS!!!! IF YOU are HURTING FOR A “GOOD” REASON for those intrusions 69 million Americans can surely understand! SO WERE THEY IN 2008!!
Since Obama inherited those troops one could assume that bush REPUBICAN policy INTRUSIONS ALONG WITH PAST REPUBLICAN INTRUSIONS HAVE had AN effect on THE middle east opinion of the USA before Obama and the Arab Spring! Or did all of the Republican “deeds” and their effects just go way on Jan. 20 2009????
          THAT WAS MY ORIGINAL POSITION
BY THE WAY, did Reagan finish the “noble cause” that led him to Lebanon and the loss of American lives or did “the great crusader” cut and run from his “necessary” intrusion?? Just asking!!!

          • DaveH

Who said any prior wars were right, NutCase, and why would two wrongs make a right?

          • nc

DaveH, me and millions of Americans feel there was a need to militarily (war) stop the Japanese and German plans for the world in the early 1940s! You Utopians might have just stepped aside and said “just let it play out” but the dying was getting a little too intense around the world!
Is there a specific number of children who must die from gas before those with some ability to make a difference step in and at least TRY to stop it?
To you that number must be many more than 400! What is it?? Any number that doesn’t affect the price of gold??

          • WTS/JAY

What was the magic number that finally motivated you to throw your full support behind Bush, nc?

          • JeffH

DaveH, to ignorant liberal progressive two wrong DO make a right.

        • Independent

I implore all of Congress to oppose intervention in Syria.
I am beginning to believe that the enemy is US as in U.S.

          • Robert Messmer

When you contact your state senators and representatives in Congress, make sure you also ask that they forbid President Obama from funding and arming any rebel forces anywhere without the express approval of Congress.

      • joe1cr

Hello !!! I was speaking of the Arab Spring that had the blessings of Hillary and Obama. May be you should read my post again.

      • DaveH

What causes your total “DISREGARD THOSE FACTS IN HISTORY AND THEIR EFFECT ON HOW PEOPLE IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES MIGHT THINK ABOUT US?”, NutCase?

  • JeffH

Check out the new RON PAUL CHANNEL. Many great video’s to watch and listen to.

JeffH, you don’t have to watch but one of the inflexible Ron Paul video’s! He says the same thing every time! He’ a one trick pony whose act hasn’t caught on nation wide! 2% just ain’t going to “git er done”!!

      • DaveH

What did he say repeatedly, NutCase?
And what is wrong with what he said?

DAVEH. HIS PROBLEM IS THE SAME AS WITH ALL CONSERVATIVES! HIS “ANSWERS” DON’T FIT THE

BERLIN — Russia has compiled a 100-page report DETAILING what it says is EVIDENCE that Syrian rebels, NOT forces loyal to President Bashar Assad, were behind a DEADLY SARIN GAS ATTACK in an Aleppo suburb earlier this year.

The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s press conference on the topic of chemical weapons in Syria and the situation around the Syrian Arab Republic, Moscow, 26 August, 2013

The statement posted on the Russian Foreign Ministry’s website says: Russia had been delivered the report to the United Nations in July, which includes DETAILED SCIENTIFIC ANALYSIS OF SAMPLES that Russian technicians collected at the site of the alleged attack, Khan al Asal.

Russian investigation of the March 19 incident was conducted under strict protocols established by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, the international agency that governs adherence to treaties prohibiting the use of chemical weapons. It said samples that Russian technicians had collected had been sent to OPCW-certified laboratories in Russia. http://www.mid.ru/brp_4.nsf/0/7426DF843775ABD244257BD500611D38

Russian Probe: Syria HOMEMADE Chemical Weapons used in March 19 Chemical Attack http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLqJM_uf1ow

As a UN inspector says EVIDENCE SUGGESTS REBELS MAY HAVE USED THE NERVE AGENT SARIN, barack obama’s ‘RED LINE’ is increasingly blurred. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKUwLwvNo2A

Where are the Illegal pRESIDENT and johnny Al-Kerry UNDENIABLE and IRREFUTABLE evidences that Assad used chemical weapons???????

    • JeffH

The biggest question is who are you going to believe? Neither the US government or Russian government have any credibility anymore.

      • TML

It’s a matter or facts; not ‘belief’ in what one or the other claims. But I have to say, something is very screwed up about our government when Putin sounds more rational and reasonable than our own President, or Congress (if they vote in approval)

      • WTS/JAY

I think they’re in collusion. Do you remember the comment Obama made to Putin when he thought the mike was off? “After the election i’ll have more flexibility”…?

        • JeffH

Jay, who really knows if that wasn’t meant to be heard rather than a slip-up by O.

          • WTS/JAY

Everything is staged, my friend, everything! I agree with you. Who do they think they are fooling? Only the kool-aid drinkers, i think.

          • NC

WTS, you say “EVERYTHING is STAGED!!” HOW LONG DID DADDY BOB SET ON YOUR EGG??? WERE YOU A SINGLE HATCHLING OR WAS DAVEH AND SAMURAI IN THE SAME BROOD?

          • WTS/JAY

Are you trying to say something, nc, or are you just having a stroke? But judging from all of your comments, it appears you’ve already had a stroke, and you have been trying to formulate cogent comments ever since, but sadly, without much success…so i would recommend that you get plenty of rest, and that you refrain from getting too excited, grandpa; as your next stroke could be your last. :)

          • nc

WTS, Yes! I was saying that anyone who is so conspiracy crazy as to say “Everything is staged” is terminally paranoid and right at home here among the Mr. Bob false flag puppets? How many merit badges do you have at PLD??

        • http://cowboybyte.com/ Alondra

That comment was made in regard to the US missile defense complex in Poland and Czech Republic.
          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/US_missile_defense_complex_in_Poland#Czech_response

After meeting with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev Obama was caught asking the departing Russian leader to convey a message to incoming Russian President Vladimir Putin: “On all these issues, PARTICULARLY ON MISSILE DEFENSE this, this can be solved but it’s important for him to give me space,” he said.

          • Robert Messmer

But anyone can give emphasis where they wish, i.e. “On ALL THESE ISSUES,…” so not just that he was planning on selling the US out on missile defense but on other issues as well. None of the issues had to wait UNTIL his 2nd term but he so desperately wanted to be re-elected.

        • GERMANICUS12

GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT, IT WAS NOT PUTIN, IT WAS HIS PREDECESSOR PRESIDENT MEDEDEV.

          • WTS/JAY

Yeah, big whoop, but thanks for the correction just the same, Germanicus12. Btw, you misspelled his name. It is Medvedev.

But you’re right, it wasn’t Putin, it was the “outgoing” Russian-president Dmitry Medvedev, who said, after Obama’s statement regarding having more flexibility after the elections, and i quote, “I transmit this information to Vladimir and i stand with you.” A very friendly exchange, btw, between obama and Medvedev, and as i was watching the youtube-video, i got the distinct impression that obama was actually showing a bit of fear and reverence at the mention of the name, Vladimir. Check out the video below…you will notice that the usual arrogance and smugness is strangely absent in obama’s demeanour during his conversation with Medvedev.

      • Carlos

Jeffh, Putin just said he will back Syria if we attack. What does Barry do now, is McBlame ready to vote for ww3, will our illustrious leader ready to save his dignity to this extent? I believe he is stupid enough, arrogant enough to continue on with this fiasco.

        • JeffH

Carlos, you’re probably more right than wrong…I don’t trust any of them as far as I can throw ‘em.

        • Harold Olsen

One thing the American people have to remember. Everything is about Obama. We must attack Syria because he set a red line and it was crossed and he said he would take action. It’s all about him.

          • nc

Harold, it was American veterans and even the enemy veterans who witnessed the horrors of poison gas in WWI that sought and got the international community to draw the RED LINE against it’s use by anyone anywhere anymore!! LOOK IT UP!!! It’s all about someone doing something to enforce that humane effort especially as to innocent children!!!!!!! Obama’s problem is that anything he does is going to draw fire from the wingnuts! So I guess he will just say “screw ‘em” and do what he thinks is right!

      • http://cowboybyte.com/ Alondra

Jeff: “Neither the US government or Russian government have any credibility anymore.”

I respectfully disagree with you on that.

The actions loudly testify WHO is WHO. And keep in mind: Russia is NOT the Soviet Union. From the beginning Putin wanted Russia to be partners/friends with the USA, but G.W. Bush started to lay down his conditions to Putin, which were unacceptable for Russia, because they were beneficial only for ONE side – the United States. Bush wanted the U.S. to be the Lord and Russia – Vassal. One sided and One way politics NEVER worked.

So Mr. Putin proclaimed Russia’s INDEPENDENCE from the USA and the WEST as well.

I watched the most his speeches and press conferences, if not all. And I can tell you with all confidence that Vladimir Putin is NOT a LIAR nor HYPOCRITE. He is talking the talk and walking the walk. He walks as he talks.

And the Kenyan FRAUD is talking the talk, but NEVER walking the walk. His talking is LIES, LIES and more LIES.

Let’s see now WHO really has evil desire for the war in that region? WHO funds and arms Muslim Brotherhood in that region?

Do not you understand that the head of the Muslim Brotherhood, who is in the WH with his team, is the one who handed power to the MBH in Egypt, who was disregarding the Egyptian Constitution in the same way and fashion like the Kenyan FRAUD does with our Constitution – stepping and spewing on It.

On the Contrary to the Muslim in the White House, Vladimir Putin does NOT want any war nor destabilization in that region. The Russian boarders are not far from that region. I just will remind
you about Georgian-Russian conflict which, unfortunately, was orchestrated by U.S.

      • Bill

        Jeff,
I can understand why you feel that way. Big governments have their games that they play and they will use any dog and pony show to convince us that their actions are warranted. “It’s for the children”, “We have to help the poor” and “We are only going to blast these people to kingdom come for Humanitarian reasons” are really getting played out
“And if you do not agree with me, you are a racist or a hater” is really insulting to our intelligence.
We have to follow the money. In this case in Syria, it is about the sale of Natural gas to the Europeans.
In the US, we have a power hungry bumbling idiot with his merry band of thieves that is hell bent on turning this country into a socialist, utopian state where we are all owned by the state. I don’t trust him as far as I can throw him
On the other hand, I respect Putin as a leader. He has lowered their tax rate to 13% to spur their economy, their GDP is running about 4% and has their debt paid down to 6% of GDP. He is doing all of the things that we should be doing to spur our economy. Just for comparison, we have a class warfare going on where and want to raise our taxes, our GDP is running less than 2% and our debt is running 125% of GDP
Putin is still is one of the most powerful people in the world but I trust him more than I trust Obama

      • Harold Olsen

I don’t believe either has much credibility either. However, of the two, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, these days I’d believe Russia over our government. Russia is not the Soviet Union, though I sometimes think Putin would like to reconstitute the USSR. Still, even with their lack of credibility, they are more credible than the Obama regime.

        • Joanne Thomann

I also believe Russia over the US. I never thought that I would ever say that but we all know this administration has been lying to us over and over

    • Harold Olsen

Whoever used the gas, where did it come from? Some have speculated that it was what was left of the gas that Saddam used on the Kurds and shipped to Syria. I believe this is a good possibility. However, could it have been another version of Obama’s “Fast and Furious?”

  • BUD USMC

    Wellarmed

I think you have it exactly the way it is, the last thing the USA needs now is another war with Iran being drawn in with allies Russia and others. Those fighting in Syria now are both our enemies if you another look go to this link.

Who profited from the Iraq war? More than a quarter of senators and congressmen invested at least $196 million of their own money in companies doing business with the Department of Defense (DoD) that profited from the death and destruction in Iraq.

According to reports, 151 members of Congress invested close to a quarter-billion in companies that received defense contracts of at least $5 million in 2006. These companies got more than $275.6 billion from the government in 2006, or $755 million per day, according to FedSpending.org, a website of the watchdog group OMBWatch.

Congressmen gave themselves a loophole so they only had to report their assets in broad ranges. Thus, they could be off as much as 160 percent. In 2004, the first full year after the Iraq war began, Republican and Democratic lawmakers—both hawks and doves—invested between $74.9 million and $161.3 million in companies under contract with the DoD.

In 2006 Democrats had at least $3.7 million invested in the defense sector alone, compared to the Republicans’ “only” $577,500. As the war raged on, so did the billions of profits—and personal investments by Congress members in war contractors, increased 5 percent from 2004 to 2006.

Investments in these contractors yielded Congress members between $15.8 million and $62 million in personal income from 2004 through 2006, through dividends, capital gains, royalties and interest. Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) and Rep. James Sensenbrenner (R-Wis.), who are two of Congress’s wealthiest members, were among the lawmakers who garnered the most income from war contractors between 2004 and 2006: Sensenbrenner got at least $3.2 million and Kerry reaped at least $2.6 million.

Members of the Senate Foreign Relations and Armed Services committees which oversaw the Iraq war had between $32 million and $44 million invested in companies with DoD contracts.

War hawk Sen. Joe Lieberman (IConn.), chairman of the defense-related
Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, had at least $51,000 invested in these companies in 2006.

Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.), who voted for Bush’s war, had stock in defense companies, such as Honeywell, Boeing and Raytheon, but sold the stock in May 2007.

Of the 151 members whose investments were tied to the “defense” (war)
industry, as far as we know, not one of them offered to donate their bloodstained profits to the national treasury to offset the terrible debt they had imposed. Did one of them even offer to donate one cent of their war profits to lessen the debt that increases more than $1 million a minute? No!

When our boys and girls were wounded the government billed them to return their reenlistment bonus. They had to return any pay they received while they were hospitalized. They had to pay for their helmets and uniforms that were destroyed during the conflict. But they kept on fighting for these politicians’ right to keep their war profits.

    • Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) $3,001,006 to $5,015,001

    • Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) $250,001 to $500,000

    • Rep. Kenny Ewell Marchant (R-Tex.) $162,074 to $162,074

    • Rep. Carolyn B. Maloney (D-N.Y.) $115,002 to $300,000

    • Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-N.J.) $115,002 to $300,000

    • Rep. Shelley Berkley (D-Nev.) $100,870 to $100,870

    • Rep. James Sensenbrenner Jr. (R-Wis.) $65,646 to $65,646

unfortunately, it has always been that way…Johnson became very rich off Viet Nam to the point that he stopped us from bombing North View Nam because he was afraid they would surrender and the killing fields would be stopped and the money into his pocket would be stopped. As my daddie always said (he spent 4 years in the tropics fighting in WWII and was very pissed at how our government deals with the rules of engagement for our soldiers) “It is always a RICH man’s war and a POOR man’s fight.” I think the poor men are getting a little tired of this….if McCain, Cantor, Boehner, Obama and Kerry all want a war, then they should get into a uniform and strap on their gear and let’s send them over there to fight.

Obama on arming Syrian rebels: “We’re sending assault weapons to rebels in Syria to confront a regime that does not represent them.”

Obama on gun-control in America: “There is no reason why any American should own assault weapons.”

“To say governments were formed to protect the rights of men would be historically incorrect. Almost all governments were formed by ruthless men exerting their will over others through the use of force. Some governments, over time, evolved toward the rule of law, perhaps only because their rulers saw that this would sanction their own continued enjoyment of the wealth that they possessed. In some instances, this evolution involved one or more “revolutions” in which those who were governed were able to better establish the rule of law” — Clifford Thies.

Does anyone get it? Though all of them were tyrannical dictators Hussein of Iraq, Mubarak of Egypt, Mummar Gadaffi of Libya and Assad of Syria, all of them kept peace in their own lands between their tribes and they protected the Christians in their countries. Our government has ruined the peaceful state of those countries causing total chaos. The Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda want to kill all of us and rule the world and our government is helping them do it. Why? Why are they arming these rebels to overthrow their dictators? It’s not for democracy. We are losing our democracy in America. It’s for total Marxist control of the world. The NWO Globalists. We have to get rid of these NWO Globalists somehow.

Greed. At 2million+ per missile. Who needs
boots on the ground. The Politian’s can make their profits off their
investments and payback their political sponsors. Thousands of missiles can be launched
from ships far off at sea and blow up stuff, and accomplish nothing but pissing
off a bunch of people and increasing our National debt. Assad will gain power
and risk WW3. It seems fitting that the country that started WW1 also causes
    WW3.

Why would the Saudi intelligence officer send a false-flag chemical weapons attack in Syria via al-Nusra rebels to get the U.S. to attack Syria ? :

“Access through Syria has little direct impact on the U.S., which has ample natural gas supplies of its own. Still, allies such are Qatar and Saudi Arabia are hoping they could get a new outlet for their production.”

Yossef Bodansky’s sources reveal that on August 13 and 14, there was a high-level meeting in Turkey that included the al-Qaeda Syrian rebels, along with U.S., Turkish, and Qatari officials, in which the Obama regime planned a bombing campaign after a “war-changing” moment that was set to occur within days.

This “war changing” moment, of course turned out to be the gassing of 1429 people, including hundreds of children, to be blamed on Bashar al-Assad.

The plan, according to Bodansky—before public opinion stopped Obama’s illegal war in its tracks—was for the U.S. to engage in a massive bombing campaign beginning August 29. While Obama was bombing Syria into oblivion, the Syrian rebels were to take over al-Assad’s strongholds, bolstered with a huge influx of weapons.

According to Bodansky, a staggering 1000 tons of weapons were distributed to the Syrian rebels in the hours after the false flag chemical weapons attack on August 21, including thousands of shoulder-fired missiles, capable of taking down a commercial airliner.

And who was organizing this massive weapons distribution, according to Bodansky’s sources? Our own CIA.

Did Barack Obama, the leader of the free world, in fact order the murder of hundreds of innocents in order to draw us into a war with Syria, which more than likely would be the beginning of World War III?

    It appears that way.

It was revealed through a huge document dump from a hacker based in Malaysia that the UK-based defense contractor Britam—really a black ops front—was approached about transferring chemicals weapons to the Syrian rebels, as part of a plot to blame Assad after a chemical weapons attack. The Russians, after the attack, were to be blamed for delivering the chemical weapons, with faked videos of Russians delivering the cargo.

The plan was “approved by Washington” per revealed documents. Yes, that means Barack Obama was in on it.

Among the hacked Britam documents were copies of passports of the mercenaries who planned on making the chemical weapons transfer to the rebels, along with an email between Britam director David Goulding and the company’s founder, Philip Doughty.

    According to the email:

Phil, We’ve got a new offer. It’s about Syria again. Qataris propose an attractive deal and swear that the idea is approved by Washington. We’ll have to deliver a CW [chemical weapon] to Homs [city in western Syria], a Soviet origin g-shell [gas shell] from Libya similar to those that Assad should have. They want us to deploy our Ukrainian personnel that should speak Russian and make a video record. Frankly, I don’t think it’s a good idea but the sums proposed are enormous. Your opinion? Kind regards, David.

If all of this is true—and every day more evidence comes to light substantiating it—Barack Hussein Obama conspired to murder hundreds of innocents, including children, in order to draw the United States into a war with Syria, and eventually Russia, China and Iran. That Barack Hussein Obama is working with the enemy—al-Qaeda, the terrorist group that murdered thousands of Americans on 9/11. That Barack Hussein Obama is a traitor to the United States.

NO WAR BS If the US attacks Syria we are declaring war on a nation that has not attacked us. NO BOOTS on the ground see what happens if Syria attacks Isreal. We will be involved and likely supporting Isreal with our troops. That is unless Obama betrays Isreal in favor of his muslim brothers. Congress must vote against war. Anyone voting for war should be removed from office.

Isn’t “no boots on the ground” the same as “no winkie in the rubber”? Just asking.

  • ChiefBoring

If I hear the phrase “boots on the ground” one more time, I may scream! We are not contemplating throwing scrap shoeleather out of helicopters. There are feet in those boots, carrying the bodies of our Soldiers, Marines, and sometimes Sailors and Airmen. They will die real deaths, and lose real limbs, not get their footwear resoled. We are talikng about troops, not boots, so politicians can sound macho! I’m a retired Navy Chier Petty Officer. The only damage to my boots was drying too close to the fire in survival school, but when they were ordered to the ground or a steel deck, I was in them. Now knock it off! It’s TROOPS, not BOOTS!

  • Tim

It’s not about one party or the other. Warmongers in both parties support an illegal invasion that will send our soldiers to die, for no reason besides the government aiding Al-Queida.

Obama, Biden, Kerry, McCain, Graham, Reid, Pelosi, Menendez, Boehner, Cantor, and their fellow criminals should be sent on the front line to fight their OWN war, instead of sacrificing our troops like their lives aren’t valuable.

  • Marc McGuire

If BOOTS are going to be sent to Syria then FILL those BOOTS with the WARMONGERS IN CONGRESS, THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION, AND
    ANYONE ELSE WHO SUPPORTS WAR!
