    1. O The Time Has Indeed Come!
Governors of 35 states have already filed suit against the Federal Government for imposing unlawful burdens upon them. It only takes 38 (of the 50) States to convene a Constitutional Convention.
This will take less than thirty seconds to read. If you agree, please pass it on.
An idea whose time has come!
For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest was to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform … in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn’t seem logical. We do not have elite that is above the law.
I truly don’t care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.
The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971…before computers, before e-mail, before cell phones, etc.
Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to become the law of the land…all because of public pressure.
I’m asking each addressee to forward this Email to a minimum of twenty people on their Address list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise.
In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.
    1. Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution:
    American Conservative says:
    December 7, 2010 at 11:09 am
An Amendment to the Constitution may be the only way; but how it is worded means everything. I suggest that it be stated like this:
The Executive, Judicial, Legislative Branches of the Federal Government – employee(s), appointee(s), bureaucrat(s), volunteer(s) and all elected person(s) of the Republic are subject to, without exception or exclusion, all Laws and Executive Orders (Executive Orders are not enforceable as Law without Legislative passage by Majority vote of each elected Party of both Houses of the Congress) that are passed upon the citizen, and non-citizen alike. All person(s) that have sworn/affirmed an oath to Defend the Constitution of the Republic of the United States are subject to said Laws. No person(s) subject to the Constitution of the Republic will be exempt from the affect/effect of this Amendment. Failure of the United States Justice Department to enforce Federal Law(s) upon the Executive, Judicial, Legislative Branches of the Federal Government will be guilty of Treason against the Constitution of the Republic. United States Law is the only Law authorized to be used to decide or determine the ruling of any case affecting/effecting the Republic of the United States or its Citizens and it is Treason against the Republic for any Court to use/consider any other Law to make its ruling. The United States is a Republic and English is the Official Language of the peoples of the Republic. All Legal Documents are to be in the Official Language and no other without exception. This Amendment affects/effects Past, Present, Future of the Republic.
You are one of my 20+.
    Keep it going, Jim.

    From what I can gather,
a constitutional convention is the very LAST thing we need.
You think a bunch of lawless leaders could meet now and come up with something short of absolute LAWFUL TYRANNY?
Why don’t we just simply enfroce the constitution as it stands?

    • URKiddinMee

I agree with Kevin. The US Constitution has all of the provisions needed for preserving our Republic, IF we could boot out the sleazy socialists and get someone in who SUPPORTS the consitution as written! There is a definite danger to our freedom if these “yahoo’s” are permitted to “remake” the law of the land. They’re doing enough damage NOW!

No such Thing as Free. This Country has been Sold Out by Free Gifts to People in Favor, including our Enemies! Our Children and their Children are now paying the Fee. 100 plus Trillion in Debt which includes Entitlements guarantees Poverty for the Nation’s Working Class. The Jobs have been shipped over Seas for very Cheap Labor… Some as little as twenty cents per hour. Can you earn a living at $0.20 per hour? Enjoy the Cheap Stuff and the Free Goodies the Government Leaders are handing out… Before GAME OVER.

  • jim2

These guys are not stupid. The “unintentional consequences” described here werevery intentional. Unintentional means that they were side effects of the original intention. They were very intentional, but sold to the public under a different guise.
There are only two sides here: the Haves and the HaveNots. Do you really think Obama would seriously entertain a tax on people over $250k if he and all of congress had to pay it?

  • Dugg Collins

Save money? Here’s what I would do if I were in charge of any of this.

If they choose to serve their country in the House or the Senate, they should work for the same ammount we pay our Soldiers who take a job where they could lose their life. I think they should pay for their own health care and not be given a lifetime pension after serving in the House or Senate. They should also only serve two terms. They should also pay into Social Security. They also should not be exempted from all the stupid laws they pass for the rest of us. No raises given unless the American people agree. Social Security people did not get a raiswe in 2010 and will not in 2011, but they saw fit to give themselves a raise of $4,500.00 this past year. People like RANGEL or anyone else should be dismissed from the Congress with nothing they think they have earned.

I don’t believe they should be taken care for life after office as they are now. Let them fend for their own in surance as we all do and stop paying for all the perks they get after office such as a private staff, office space, etc.

Money taints any off they have there. Any money Politicans have in their bank accounts that came from PAC Groups (should they be allowed to continue) show immediately be returned to the general fund of the country.

GET RID OF DEPARTMENT OF ENEGRY: What the hell have they done for us. Look at how dependent we are on middle east oil when we have an abundant supply of oil in this country. They should allow drilling not only off shore in shallow water, but inland as well. That could create many jobs.

GET RID OF THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION: I see no use for them since kids are graduating high school (those who do) are not educated to the level they should be. Let the states control the educational system.

DO AWAY WITH ALL FORIEGN AID: Those we send money to could care less about this nation.

GET OUT OF THE U.N. AND HAVE IT MOVED SOMEPLACE ELSE: All those members vote against us all the time and don’t even have to abide by our laws. How did that happen? NOBODY should be above the law.

PASS A 28th AMMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION THAT SAYS, ‘Congress shall not pass any laws for the citigens of this nation that they are exmepted from.’

STOP THE BAIL OUTS: This is a free market echonomy. Sink or swim. If I fail at what I do they aure as hell won’t send me bail out money.

CUT THE GOVERNMENT PAYROLL IN HALF: Stop all the perks these people get.

HONOR OUR LORD AND STOP TRYING TO TAKE HIS NAME OFF EVERYTHING. This country was founded in principles listed in the Bible. If the Muslims and others don’t like it, return to the home land if it’s so bad for them here. NEVER REMOVE ‘ONE NATION, UNDER GOD’ from the pledge. Have students say it each mornbing at the beginning of school and teach tghem what that Flad means. It’s more than just cloth flying in the wind.

POLITICAL CORRECTNESS HAS GONE WAY TO FAR. First, we should make English the Official Language of this Country. If children have been taught English before joing our school, then they don’t go to our schools.

SEAL THAT MEXICAN BORDER: If the Mexican government cant get rid of the drug cartel, lets send a few missles over te border and do it ourselves. It’s a disgrace to see what’s happening in our border States. Start DEPORTING ALL ILLEGALS. President Eisenhower did it in the 50′s and we can do it now if we had folks in Washington with balls enough to get it done. If you are not a legal citizen of this Nation, you have no rights here.

STOP KILLING OUR YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN IN WARS IN PLACES THAT WILL NEVER CHANGE LIKE THE MIDDLE EAST. Places like Irac and Afganistant will never have a Democracy. When we leave, the thugs in those countries will again be even more corrupt than they are now. The leader in Afganbistant is taking our millions and laughing at us for being so stupid while his people starve to death or slaughtered.

There is so much that can be done to get us on the right track again. I don’t worry for myself because I don’t have long to live anyway, but I worry for my children and grand children. Obama says we are no longer a Christian Nation. I believe he is a Muslim and not even qualified for the position he holds and one will challenge him on his birth place. I heard him quoting from the Declaration of Independence not long ago and he would not even use the Creators name.

STOP TRYING THESE TERRORIST IN CIVIL COURT: What part of “They are the enemy” do they not understand? The Military should have these captives on trial and given them their just due.

PROGRESSIVES, LIBERAL, WHATEVER YOU CALL YOURSELVES THESE DAYS, get you head out of your ass and do the right things from this Nation and stop bending to pressure from the ACLU and all other groups.

That’s just some of the things on my mind. You can bet I don’t give a rats rectum if you disagree.

    • Darla

I’m right there with you, and to go one step further anyone fraudently holding office without being a citizen should be publicly exposed and executed as a traitor to the USA. In a nutshell if you can’t produce a legitimate birth certificate, you have no business being here. I don’t care who your connections are, you don’t belong here! If you bash the USA, then get your ugly, stinking carcass out of here, we don’t want you!

    • Erik

Dugg, this country was founded on principles that existed a long time before your evil Christianity was founded. The Founding Fathers went out of their way to ensure that the U.S. didn’t fall into the same trap that Britain had. By that, I mean enforced church attendance.
The Founding Fathers were aware of Europe’s long, brutal history of torture and murder created by the Christian church.
Had you read your Bible, you’d understand how evil that book is.
Separation of Church and State remains a great idea.

      • http://?? Joe H.

The man said nothing about enforced church attendance! If a person doesn’t pledge allegience to this country, they DON’T BELONG HERE!!!! That doesn’t mean blind following of the people to the government but allegience to this country and its constitution!! If you can’t at least do that then get the hell out!!!

    • van allen

Dugg—outstanding collection of points. I can’t disagree with 1 of them!! And, I think most Americans would back you up. Today, our nation stands at a crossroads where we will either take back our country…or lose it! Beginning with any 1 of your initiatives would begin to shore up our crumbling foundations. Also, the Founders would never believe the complacency, resignation, cowardice of our citizenry. At the very least, there should be mass demonstrations in DC and a tax revolt in ’11. This new year we will see massive municipal & state government defaults, pension plans destroyed, and widespread civil disorder. Given the BRIC and other countries view of our national debacle & fiscal crisis, it is probable that our $ will also lose its reserve currency status.

  • Kelly

Dugg, you did a great job spelling it out like it is. Erik, all I can to you is “Good Grief”

  • Carol

Dug, we need you to run for President. Eric, go back to school and take a course on COMPREHENSION.

  • JimH

This video shows exactly why when somebody says the GOVERNMENT should step in and help, I cringe. When are the sheeple going to see how inept these people are?

  • Hank Henry

Erik, do you have any idea of what the separation of church and state really means?

  • TIME

How Bloody Sad how few have viewed this………..

  • Tom for liberty

    For Eric:
The Myth of Constitutional “Separation of Church and State”
But because of its incremental nature, too few American recognize the loss of freedom, especially the loss to people wishing to live out their faith. The secularists have convinced so many Americans including people of faith that there is a constitutionally mandated separation of church and state, that it is now accepted as “truth.” The problem is that it is not true. Not only is “separation of church and state” not in the Constitution, it is not contained in a single law. Remember the Constitution only prohibits Congress from establishing a national religion or infringing on the “free exercise” of religion.
This entire campaign is a legal concept that grew out of a personal letter Thomas Jefferson wrote to the Danbury, Connecticut Baptists where he referred to the First Amendment as having created a “wall of separation” between church and state. Jefferson was trying to alleviate the concerns of the Baptists in Danbury, assuring them that the state had no intention of interfering with their type of worship. We know this because Jefferson and the other Founders knew full-well the power of a state controlled church and they adamantly rejected it. What Jefferson wrote has been turned completely upside down by the courts and now the secular culture.
The Founders’ Embraced and Promoted Religion in America’s Public Life
Today, “separation of church and state” is asserted to mean that actions, speech, or any public displays of faith on government property are unconstitutional. This would be unrecognizable to Thomas Jefferson or his fellow founders. Nearly every Sunday during his Presidency, including the very Sunday after he wrote that letter, Jefferson rode up Pennsylvania Avenue to attend church services which were held in the Capitol building itself until at least the 1860s. Jefferson also lent the Treasury building for religious services. He saw no inconsistency with religious worship on public property.
Perhaps Jefferson should have simply sent the Danbury Baptists “The Virginia Act for Establishing Religious Freedom” which he drafted in 1779, three years after the Declaration of Independence. It passed the General Assembly of Virginia in 1786. Like the establishment clause, it is clear enough that we might have averted the current debate had his original intent been honoured. Here is what Jefferson’s law said in part, all of which can be seen on the Jefferson memorial in Washington, DC: “No man shall be compelled to frequent or support any religious worship or ministry or shall otherwise suffer on account of his religious opinions or belief, but all men shall be free to profess and by argument to maintain, their opinions in matters of religion. I know but one code of morality for men whether acting singly of collectively.” This sentiment, reflected in the First Amendment, was widely held, not because the Founders were anti-religious but because they were religious.
The “Separatist” misconception which the secularist have asserted, is now pervasive, not only with regard the First Amendment, but throughout virtually every aspect of our culture. Militant secularist now dominate the intellectual and cultural commanding heights of our civilization including academia, the newsrooms, entertainment, public schools, art, history, and even the churches.
Their indoctrinations have created a generation so uneducated about out history especially our Godly heritage that most Christians cannot even articulate a defence
It is up to every American who believes in freedom to assert leadership, retake the heights, and displace the radical occupiers. To regain the intellectual and cultural commanding heights may take a generation, but it will be worth the struggle. We need to reconnect the present with our past. Only then can we understand how to move forward. Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (KJV). Understanding our history within the context of world history makes clear the present. Knowing and understanding what happened in the past, allows us to see emerging patterns that will help guide us away from repeating history’s calamities. We not only need to take this responsibility for ourselves, we need to ensure that we are selecting leaders who share our worldview.
