“’Twas the Night Before Christmas, 2012”

December 25, 2012 by

“’Twas the Night Before Christmas, 2012”
UPI

‘Twas the night before Christmas, and the White House heard cheer:
“Kwanzaa is coming! The best time of year!”
A stocking cap hung in the bathroom with care,
In hopes Pluggsy Biden would give up on that “hair.”

Hillary looked toward 2016, while pundits wondered:
“Can she win? She’s so MEAN!”
Reporters joyously exploited our grief,
Except when they smiled and just lied through their teeth.

Susan Rice in the cold, her mouth left agape,
While John Kerry measured his new office for drapes.
Obama sat down with Holder the liar,
To plan throwing the Bill of Rights in the fire.

When out in Benghazi arose such a clatter,
Obama demanded, “What the heck is the matter?
We’ve given you money; covered up stuff as well.
I’ve got a damned Peace Prize; I mean… what the hell?”

Obama and Clinton then both hit the links,
And Boehner surrendered (that sell-out stinks).
Joblessness, homelessness, the debt is ginormous,
But Harry and Nancy don’t want to inform us.

Instead, blame the Tea Party, they say with a wink,
They’re evil and racist; they should be in the klink!”
But when Nikki said Tim was her guy for the Senate,
They called them both tokens, and they actually meant it.

On, Griffin! On, Maddow! On, Sharpton, poo-tender!
On, O’Donnell and that fat guy whose name I can’t seem to remember!
All my millionaire pals who live behind walls,
We’re smug; we’re stupid; we’re hypocrites all!

And I heard Barry say as the limo doors slammed:
“I’d do something worthwhile, but I don’t give a damn.”

A Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the members of the Personal Liberty Digest.

And yes, I agree with the poem.

    Have a Happy!!!

  • John R. Howell

In the news yesterday, I read that Obama is on a 4 million dollar golfing vacation in Hawaii, and at the same time 4 American boys were killed in Afghanistan in the most phony war this country has ever been in, the only purpose being to kill American boys for nothing. John R. Howell

    • Flashy

Best listen to someone who has accurate information.

      http://www.fas.org/sgp/crs/misc/RS21835.pdf

    • Robert Smith

Charlie Wilson, another Deomcrat the right wing Republicans didn’t listen to, advocated sending aid in the form of education and technology to help the folks of Afganistan reubild their country after the Russians left.

Instead he was denied by our right wing, and the Taliban took over.

If you want to blame someone, bame Reagan who didn’t have the guts to wage peace instead of war.

      Rob

      • Mikey

        Obama is no better……

      • Bill

That’s about the dumbest thing I ever heard from your shallow mind Rob.
Prosperity is what helps a poor country. What we should have done is to pay attention to history. You will not change that culture over there. If you want to help them, just pay each individual warlord to bring our pipeline through his territory, then it is business as usual and everybody wins and nobody dies.

But nooo, Obama continues to carry on a no win war

      • Bill

        Also, Rob
You said Reagan did not have the guts. What, are you just quoting some of your buddies revisionist history? You must be a young guy who was not around during Reagan, because you are just sounding stupid again. You probably don’t remember when our people were taken hostage in Iran and Carter kissed their butt and said please give us our people back. They worked him like a puppet on a string. Reagan beat him and immediately, the hostages were returned because they knew he would blow them out of the water

So, are your stupid remarks designed to make us think differently than reality or just for our amusement

      • momo

Bill, Smith is just a dumb a$$, Merry Christmas.

      • MLR

Bill: Reagan had no guts,if ever there was a conspiracy theory to belive it was sending Bush senior to set up the deal, we will supply you with arms to fight Iraq, if you don’t let the hostages go untill after the election. Low and behold after they got into office, Iran Contra affair. Carter had the GUTS to take the blame, when those helicopters and transport plane crashed in the desert, because he ordered the attempt, with the help of the Canadiens, we most likely would have gotten them all out alive, it was all set up.What president since has had the balls to take any blame for anything? The Iranian religious crackpots hated Carter because he forced Isrial and Egypt to finally set up a peace plan. Camp David accords, which the Israel’s didn’t live up to, Palistineins. The ayatola Komeney elected Reagan. Excuse my spelling of some names

      • Robert Smith

Hey Bill, Reagan didn’t have the guts. He won by a landslide and STILL it wasn’t until monthis later that the hostages were released. Why were they released? Because sanctions against Iran were relaxed.

“Peter Bourne put it, “Because people felt that Carter had not been tough enough in foreign policy, this kind of symbolized for them that some bunch of students could seize American diplomatic officials and hold them prisoner and thumb their nose at the United States.” Finally, in September, Khomeini’s government decided it was time to end the matter. There was little more advantage to be gained from further anti-American, anti-Shah propaganda, and the ongoing sanctions were making it harder to straighten out an already chaotic economy. Despite rumors that Carter might pull out an “October Surprise” and get the hostages home before the election, negotiations dragged on for months, even after Republican Ronald Reagan’s landslide victory in November.[112]

After months of negotiations the United States had agreed to release several billion dollars in Iranian gold and bank assets, frozen in American banks just after the seizure of the embassy. The government of Iran, now involved in a war with neighboring Iraq, was desperate for money and therefore seemed willing to release the hostages.”

Remember, they were at war with our buddy Saddam: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran_hostage_crisis#Release

You really should learn the difference between coincidence and reality.

        Rob

        • MLR

Robert Smith: The hostages were released while Reagan was taking the oath of office.
(Only to embaress Carter) or was it to seal the deal for the Arms for getting him elected in the first place?

        • MLR

They were in the war with Iraq before the hostages were even taken. you should read some real history.

        • MLR

When the Hostages were taken we were supporting Sadam and Iraq, the Hostages were taken because after months of republican badgering of Carter, he let the Shah into this country for medical reasons, the excuse the Iranians used to take the Hostages. The students had the full support of Komeinies regime. the war was allready on. Komeinie Hated Carter because of the Camp David peace accords, Egypt and Israel, at peace at last. The hostages were released while Reagan was taking the oath of office. Part of the deal “Arms for Hostages”.Reagan and Bush set up with Iran for not letting them go before the election? Remember the Iran -Contra affair. We help them sell drugs and use the money to buy weapons for the Iranians, our enemy at the time, sounds like TREASON to me, but they got away with it anyway. You remember the rescue attempt? the helicopter crashed into the cargo plane, so it was aborted, Canadian inteligence told us where all the hostages were located, seperate places, we and they had people in place to get them all out. Remember Carter going on national TV and taking the Blame?, because he ordered the rescue attempt. Has any president taken the blame for anything they do that gets screwed up since?

Lets see, our guys freed girls to go to school, got the little boys away from the islamist who used them like little girls. I pray God will bless this effort since the blind and dumb won’t and where is NOW when America gets closer to Sharia Law which hates women. God Bless, Merry Christmas (the reason for the season) Have a God filled Happy New Year to those who hate my idea’s and my God.

      • Robert Smith

Hey Ben, you say: “got the little boys away from the islamist who used them like little girls. ”

May I point out that the priests don’t have such a good record either when it comes to little boys?

Oh, BTW, when will women be allowed to lead in the church?

        Rob

      • CHRISTOPHER ALLEN HORTON

“Robert Smith” – YOU ARE ON POINT.

  • Nobody’s Fool

Merry Christmas, and well said, Ben!!!

  • richard brooks

Goebbels would be so proud of you. a nice mixture of hate & intolerance blended into your propaganda. as long as we have ignorant hard line radicals there will be no hope.

    • hipshotpercusion

Just what is hateful about telling the truth? By the way. When O-Bozo had his last Colonoscopy, they found your hat.

      • Warrior

        Gross dude! LMAO.

      • STEVE E.

        And a tongue tassel too.

      • Elda

I have not laughed that hard in a very long time. Even my kids came running to see if I was okay!

      • WIA Ben

hipshotpercusion, They found his hat alright, however they are still searching for his head, rumor has it, it has no brains.

    • Paul Wells

      Richard Brooks,
Spoken like a true left wing shill, who believes every word of the left wing media. They spoon feed you, indoctrinate you, & you go along like a good little steeple, never bothering to take your blinders off, and see for yourself what the truth is. Tsk, tsk.

      • Robert Smith

“o believes every word of the left wing media.”

Ain’t no such thing as “left wing media.” Clear Channel (Rush and his ilk), the largest radio station ownership group, is owned by Bain Capital. Where have we recently heard about that? Oh yes! Owned by Romney.

Rupert Murdock is a significant owner of Fox.

Bud Paxon and his son have stations in almost all markets.

        Rob

    • Robert Smith

“Just what is hateful about telling the truth?”

The truth in is that the right wing apparently doesn’t know howw to get along with the rest of the world.

      Greed will do that.

      Rob

      • Mikey

What is greedy about wanting to apply the constitution to our government? What is greedy about not wanting to pay excessive taxes to a bloated, wasteful government that spends money it doesn’t even have yet (including mulit-million dollar vacations for politicians). What is greedy about wanting to protect ourselves with firearms, (the same weapons criminals use). What is greedy about wanting to end profit based wars all over the world. What is greedy about preferring adoption to abortion? What is greedy about wanting those that work hard to profit enough to stay in business?
I think you need to look up the definition of the word “Greed”, you obviously don’t know what it means.

      • Bill

        Long live greed and selfishness!!!

      • eddie47d

Will that be the continual right wing motto in 2013 Bill? LOL!

      • MLR

        Mikey:
you talking about Dems or Repubs, they both do the same thing. Government got a lot bigger under Reagan, Nice guy he was to lower taxes on big business and the rich, then raise them on the middle class. Did Obama start those two wars? Did he end one of them?
I dont’ really like Obama either, voted for the Independant, more people should, if just to let the two parties know we are sick of their posturing and political BS

      • Mikey

I’m not referring to either the Democrats or the Republicans. Both only care for themselves and their cronies. I’m referring to the conservative/Libertarian/Constitutionalists that frequent this site…..patriots who no longer have a party in power that represents them. Hopefully, the Libertarian movement will take hold before the country collapses (but I’m not holding my breath).

    • Vigilant

richard brooks says, “Goebbels would be so proud of you. a nice mixture of hate & intolerance blended into your propaganda. as long as we have ignorant hard line radicals there will be no hope.”

We had our chance in November to vote out the ignorant hard line radicals, and failed.

      • Bill

        Vigilant,
Is that a photo of your dog? He looks like a great guy

        Dogs are the best people

      • Robert Smith

ROFL… From Vigilant: “We had our chance in November to vote out the ignorant hard line radicals, and failed.”

But from the other side the Tea Party and their ilk were crushed.

It’s all a matter of perspective. Lots of radicals are gone and I like it.

        Rob

    • Bill

      Ba, Hum Bug

  • Flashy

Happy Winter Festival season everyone !

    • Vigilant

      Keep fishin’ for comments, Flash.

      • Robert Smith

How interesting Vigilant. Flashy talks about celebtation, fun, and feasting.

Why did you try to flip it into something else?

No matter what this season is called there is reason for celebration. Are you upset because Flashy isn’t celebtating “your” way?

I see it as part of the root of the real issues about why some refuse to get along with others.

Why can’t you apparently tolerate someone having fun at the same time you are, but for a different reason?

        Rob

      • Flashy

        Jeesh Vig ….

        OK..how about

Happy Chanaukah, Festive Festivus, Sagacious Winter Solstice (all late greetings), Merry XMas, Boisterous Boxing Day, Quality Kwanzaa and a Happy New Year.

I believe i got the entire three week holidays of the Winter Festival. Enjoy folks !

    • Robert Smith

      Happy Solstice to you Flashy!

I find it amazing how quickly the contemporary majority religion forgot they stole the lolidays that were already in place from older religions, which were celebrated the cycles of the year. Let’s see… One group saw the days getting longer again and celebrated that fact. It’s good that the sun comes back and supports the crops.

The next one created an entire mythology around a kid forgetting that the days were getting longer. How strange to not celebrate the new beginnings of a cycle and celebrate the birth of a kid to be tortured to death.

Now that I point it out, I usppose that little truth will be considered “hateful.”

      Rob

      • Flashy

Robert..the way i see it is from Chanukah to New Year, there’s at least five different celebrations going on. It truly is a Festival building with the last week before New Years and culminating January 1.

So one acknowledges the anti-Puritanism of today’s “christians” as they celebrate today pretending it is significant in the history of their religion, and they return the greeting with hate and anger. Read their greetings and best wishes…sprinkled with that hate, that anger, and calls for violent uprisings against the majority.

And they wonder why folks believe there is an American Taliban jeesh.

Have a great time in the remaining days of Festival Robert !

    • STEVE E.

How about “Happy we made it through the Mayan Calendar Day”?

      • Flashy

Elvis was right…”Tomaya” never comes ….

  • Bill

Keep up the good work Ben,
And a happy Kwanza to you too

  • J.

Just wait until the final bill for this administration is due and the liberals have to pay “Their fair share”

  • MLR

change the names and it works just as well to slam the Republicans.

  • boyscout

Haven’t heard so many chains ratteling since Marley threw his off. Ha Ha Humbug to all
