TSA’s New Hands-On Policy

August 25, 2010 by

TSA’s New Hands-On Policy

If you are flying out of Boston’s Logan International or Las Vegas-McCarran International airports you can expect the heavy hands of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to come down on you.

The TSA has just implemented a more aggressive palms-first, slide down body search technique to properly feel up airline passengers. The new policy replaces the formerly-used almost-as-intrusive back hand patdown.

It’s not enough that TSA agents get to ogle your naked bodies — and those of your kids — via the naked body scanner machines. If you refuse to subject yourself to the radiation of the backscatter naked body scanners you must go through a metal detector and then have a TSA agent paw your most private parts. And if you do subject yourself to harmful radiation and the TSA ogler behind the curtain notices something unusual, you still get to enjoy a full-body mauling.

Frequent flyer Justin Griffin summed up the apparent mood of today’s traveling public when he told the Boston Herald, “The most important thing is to have an effective patdown. If using the back of the hand is less effective, then security trumps niceties.”

Line up sheeple. The herd moves this way. Don’t ask questions; just do as your “benevolent” government demands.

Not flying out of those two airports in the near future? Not to worry. This is just a test as a prelude to implementing the policy nationwide.

We can only guess what the next “safety” procedure will be. Naked flying, anyone?

As long as I knew in advance that a female inspector would be running her hands over my body, it might not be all that tough to endure Uncle Scam’s latest low-tech approach to airport security. I’m flexible.
Of course, I would reserve the right that if I knew ahead of time that if I wouldn’t be properly ‘inspected’ by a female inspector and I had to endure a man touching me, I would arrive ‘prepared.’ After all, fair is fair.
I would be full of beans and spices so I could “redistribute the wealth” and ‘share’ my bounty. This is one of the great things about living in a free society, people. With a little luck, I would get to sit next to a member of Congress. Then, I could only hope to be full of beans and ice cream, and it would be a most memorable (some might say aromatic) flight.
As long as Uncle Scam pretends to be security conscious at our airports, I can at least dream about my special way of sharing and spreading my wealth. I don’t see how I’m asking for all that much.

SC, what works better is, beans, beer, and hard boiled eggs.

      • s c

Al, at my age, I have experimented with quite a few combinations. A sure-fire formula includes beans, ‘red’ beer, hard-boiled eggs and ice cream. It works, but it can also be ‘risky,’ if you know what I mean.

        • Al Sieber

SC, you’re right, everyone has their own recipe.

        • MidnightDStroyer

Well, maybe some broccoli and/or saurkraut might help too…Maybe mix in a few jalepino peppers, if you don’t mind “feeling the burn.”

    • Maggie

SC, thanks for the chuckle this morning.

    • hflashman

For eight years we had an admin. that fed gullible people the ies of fear and hate so it could legitimize taking away rights, freedoms and liberties. We are seeing the remnants of the fear and hate crowd in the TPers of today.

Beginning 2001 with the UnPatriotic Act, all of a sudden our Constitution became overnight a “quaint” document to be ignored..and the robots cheered. Nevermind it operated very well before that.

      Y’all are seeing the results.

Leadership for eight years of Fear and hate gave us this. You happy? You cheered it..you should be happy

      • Al Sieber

hflash, I didn’t cheer nothing, I was never for the unpatriot act.

      • CJ

HFlash, most of the problems today had roots long before 2001… well back into the 1990′s, and before. Your obsession to place blame is blinding you to the fact that we have gone from bad to MUCH worse, so don’t point out the splinter in our eyes until you remove the log from yours. We seldom have a choice of a good politician in elections, only removing the worst from the selections. This failed in 2008, despite the alternative wasn’t much better.

        • 45caliber

Unfortunately, you are right. I tend to vote AGAINST someone in Washington more often than I vote for anyone. I still think they should have a category on voting – “None of the Above”. In fact, I’ve considered changing my name to that and running for President. I’d win by a landslide.

          • MidnightDStroyer

To be honest, for the 20 years I’ve been of voting age, I haven’t voted for anybody that wasn’t named “No Confidence.”

      • 1955 The Keeper

I constantly hear of TPers and every other brand of Constitutional purist out there demand that we get back to the fundamental liberties granted us by our founding patriots, I so tire of the “founding fathers” phrase. I have been doing some self study on the Constitution and was disturbed to find that there are two different versions of the Constitution in theory, yet only one being put into practice. And the one being used to define our rights as citizens of America the Beautiful is not the one written by our past patriots. Look into an act, illegitimately passed by congress in 1871, called the Act of 1871. When ten square miles of Virginia was being set aside to become the future seat of the federal government, there had to be articles enacted to govern this parcel of land. The legislatures patterned a “constitution” similar to the original founders version with a few differences thrown in.
The original or “Organic” Constitution was titled “The Constitution for the united states of America.” Under this Constitution each of us was first and foremost sovereign citizens (go look up the definition of sovereign) of our state of residence. Each state was part of a larger federal system which was formed to promote the greater protection that a larger body of collective states would allow. The one thing that was lacking was the federal government’s ability to transact on an economic level as the seat of government. So to be able to fulfill this role, congress, without the explicit legal foundation to establish such, created a constitution which was to govern only the ten square miles of the District of Columbia. The pressing reason all of this was push through the congress was that following the Civil War, the Union was in near economic collapse. Sound familiar? This legislation was enacted to allow America to do business (borrow money from England) to shore up a weak post war economy. To be able to do all this, the Constitution was rewritten to become a document which no longer describes the rules of a nation but the methods of doing business as a corporation. The new title was rewritten, “The Constitution of the United States of America. With the changing of the word (for) to the word (of) and the capitalization of United States plus a slight change of phrase here and there, the document became totally different in its intent and scope. We are no longer treated in this country as sovereign citizens of our state of residence. With a change here and a change there the Act of 1871 effectively changed all of us into employees of the corporation known as the United States of America. When is the last time you ever heard of a corporation following the directives of its employees? As a side issue, this new incorporation of America allowed the federal government the ability to grow itself to any size it deems necessary. This growth has allowed the establishment of the Department of We Can Spend Your Money Any Way We Please. Stop and think about how many bureaucracies have been formed since 1929 that YOU, a corporate employee, were never given a choice to approve or disapprove of. Its only your money funding it all for God’s sake!
If people really want to get back to a Constitutional Republic, we are going to have to get back to the Organic Constitution that was in effect previous to the Act of 1871. Corporate employees are not and will never be sovereign citizens as we once were. If we want to go back to the Constitution as the basis of our rights and rule of government, then lets go back to the version that really counts. Do your own research. Look up the Act of 1871. Don’t think that Obamacare was the first scam that was ever rammed down the throats of the citizens of this great country against their will. Under the guise of setting up a framework of government for the District of Columbia, the country and its governmental landscape were forever altered to the detriment of the individual freedoms that this nation was founded upon. What say all of you?

        • vicki

          http://pelicantoes.net/images/Constitution_Pg1of4_AC-image.jpg

Note it says We The People….do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

So we have 2 objects. A Constitution, A place. (Group of States united)

Since the first object (Constitution) was made FOR the second object (United States) it becomes quite reasonable to refer to the first object as being of the second as in connected to. It is NOT the Constitution of England for instance.

It was created FOR the United States and is therefor connected to or OF the United States.

The use of for and of is consistent with the English language and the relation of the objects is not changed.

        • vicki

Here is the actual text of the 1871 act of which you speak
          http://www.teamlaw.org/DCOA-1871.pdf

I found nothing in there to change the meaning of the 2 objects nor their relation to our sovereign status. It reads just as you might expect for some area creating a new state say if N and S Calif were to actually become 2 states. It reads a lot like you would expect for a territory to assemble itself into a state such as Alaska or Hawaii must have done.

One VERY interesting section however was section 12 were they talk about READING the bills before voting on them and ONE subject at a time.

If this act does as you suggest what happened to section 12?

More proof that the Republican Party isn’t going to get the job done. They are just too self-interested to worry about doing what’s best for the citizens.

        • Claire

DaveH– Another accurate post–After November, it will be more of the same.

          • Al Sieber

Claire,DaveH,SC, I believe November and vote them out is a Hugh crock of $hit anyways. I don’t think the sheeple will ever wake up. they get the Govt. they deserve.

          • DaveH

            Thank you, Claire.
And Al, I think you’re right, but I keep hoping you’re wrong. It is looking pretty bleak when the Republicans won’t even get rid of the Big Government dinosaur McCain. They have been going downhill for decades with the exception of Reagan who tried to lead the way to smarter, smaller government but was thrwarted by members of his own party.

It is truly sad. The paper sabre rattling, the countless hours of toil to awaken this sleeping Republic…and McOldGuy gets back in the seat for another term. My God, is there no common sense left in the bottle?! Well, like this comment thread started out: beans & beer, and flying will be thing of the past if the plummet into a depression is the inevitable, so I use Rule 4B: Beans, Beer, Bacon and Bullets. Keep your powder dry. Oh, and go run a bright, fresh Gadsden flag up the halyard to support the Patriot in AZ. The TSA is the result of gov’t misery on steroids. Thugs actually have a job app they can scribble on to act out their fantasies and treat everybody but themselves, who probably have a record, like criminals. It is disgusting…try passing through the cesspool of ATL and try squeezing anything resembling out of the clowns in a cheap uniform–OUR EMPLOYEES! THEY WORK FOR US!

      • Bob

If you really want the truth about this man go to Amazon and buy the book “Guilt by Association ” by Jeff Gates.

      • Hugh Jordin

McCain gave Obama the presidency by his hasty pick of a running mate he, and the rest of the country, hardly had heard of. When Palin’s antics became part of the tabloid news, a frightened and tired public chose what they believed was the lesser of two evils… see what that got us.

Conservatives must promote serious and thoughtful candidates to win elections and guide the country properly.

6 more years of McGroan… we need better.

  • patrick

Why don’t all you folks see the real problem here? This is called profiling! It is promoted by Obammy boy and Eric Holder. Yet i do not hear any complaints from the cry baby liberal democrats, Why? Because as was the case in Arizona, Obammy has failed to do his job of securing our borders so he blames Arizona for profiling ILLEGALS. What an oxymoron this is. First, what’s wrong with this picture? #1. they are in America illegally, a crime. Just show a video of law enforcement people frisking an illegal immigrant on the street on YouTube! You will never hear the end of the outcry from ACLU and liberal democrats. But all those people going through airports are profiled and rubbed down, and x-rayed and not a peep? Hipocracy in it’s fullest sense of the word!

    • taxman

We dont care where you are killed, as long as it isnt in the air! We will collect your death taxes but if killed in the air your family would get much tax free money, not good for the economy. Your family would get rich, rich are evil…This may save your family from becoming evil rich people, praise Obama!

      • Wlmitch1

        Excellent satire! :-)

      • Al Sieber

taxman, praise obama?, and praise Allah, and seig heil too.

    • Kinetic1

You must be kidding, patrick. You think that Liberals are willing to quietly sit back and accept this just because Obama is in the White House? We’ve been screaming about this sort of thing since the Bush administration first hoisted the Patriot Act on us. We begged our reps not to vote for it. We couldn’t believe that they would vote to continue this BS! We’re angry that this is still going on, and frustrated because we know that, should Obama move to end this type of intrusion on our privacy, the right will go after the administration for being weak on national security.

      • vicki

So if it wasn’t republicans and wasn’t democrats who voted McCain back in?

    • Hugh Jordin

In a way, the terrorists are winning. Look at the extent to which they have impacted our lives. Travel used to be fun.

  • Bob

McCain still has to run against a Democrat in November. Hayworth was just a McCain clone. People have to check their records to see how they voted on the issues instead of buying that crap during the campaign. November will be business as usual. As far as the airport security they want to discourage Americans from flying so they can keep you home where it is better to keep track of you. Until they implant a chip.

    • Al Sieber

Bob, I’ve been checking their records for years, the politicians don’t represent the people anyways.

      • Bob

Al You have to vote on what they do not what they say. They all lie during the campaign.

      • Bob

People can’t even fathom how evil some of these people are. We only know a fraction of their evil deeds.

I know this is not the country I grew up in and defended. All the politicans are corrupt bastards and I am getting ready to vote with my feet.I have had enough of their garbage and they will continue to destroy our old USA, sorry to say. Get ready for what little “rights and freedoms” to get trampled and abolished. Good luck to you all. Eric

      • vicki

Where do you plan to have your feet take you?

    • CJ

You can’t fix the problem when you only have bad parts to use. Until we have a choice of “none of the above” and force a candidate to do as the people want, nothing will change.

      • http://yahoo.com robin

OK Cj you said a good thing too. But what the people want any more is so scattered with confusion. They are afrade of speaking up any more.
Oh i ttally agree with you. THE PEOPLE WANT but let me ask you are there enough people left who has the honckers to stand up and say… WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH ? I think not!!!! But if you think back in time.. I think in the 80s where the people in the Philippines stood up against the president then !!!! he fail. Now they are happy with their leader now. Folks…. Voting does not work any more… You know that. So why bother. Stand up and let your voice be heard. You want Obammy out??? Throw him out…. Let the voices of our country be heard……. NOW !!!!! not later NOW!!!

    • http://yahoo.com robin

ALL right Bob!!!! you put the nail in the right place and aimed the hammer just right. you couldnt have said what you said any better. Our Gov. really dont want us going any where…. Not untill they do get to implant the chip in you some where They are after that in full force. just dont have the proper backing yet. But keep in mind. Our new Passports has that very chip they will be using. Wheather you realise it or not!!!! they know where ever you go in this wide world of ours. They know they can find you.

      • 45caliber

I noticed on wnd.com that some school in the North is seriously considering putting chips on all the students so they will know where they are all the time. It’s only a matter of time …

        • Bob

In Pennsylvania a few months back they were giving students laptops to take home. These laptops used to go on by themselves and people could see what they were doing.

          • 45caliber

Yeah, I heard of that. I think Big Brother is getting far too close to the book.

      • Mark Are

Won’t need a chip. With the retina scans that they are planning on, the chip is an idea of the past. Remember Minority Report? Well, THAT is what is on the way. Except you won’t be able to trade eyeballs. It won’t work.

      • http://YouTube.com/CanadaLarry Lawrence Edward Calcut

        @ Robin
Robin your comment about the RFID chip was very wias and timely. It has occured to me and hopefully not the “THEY” that most passports are locked up in a drawer in the study or bedroom somewhere. If the chip is carried on the person, in the passport, it can and will facilitate the locating of the owner or holder whenever he walks into a public building or bank or… etc.. Now, i’m NOT sure if a satilite can read a chip from space and locate anyone with a chip in their passport, but then they are not telling us how … powerful… these chips are.
I for one will never allow them to put anything like a RFID chip in my body so I will not have to worry about it being able to establish any communication with my brain or nervice system or cause and infection or radiate me for strility or a cancer.

        • vicki

RFID devices are very delicate things. Microwave ovens are very dangerous to them. I recommend you do not store your passports on
or near one. Oh and keep in mind of the chip is broken they may make you get a new passport before traveling.

    Fine! Thanks for the heads-up.

    Just a thought…. . . . .

    • Mark Are

DO IT! The USA needs some humility. Most American’s think that their crap doesn’t stink and that the world owes them something. Well maybe its time that the rest of the world starts treating the US the way the US has been treating the rest of the world for a long time now. The US is pumped up with false prosperity and the economy based on theft is going to come around and bite everyone on the butt.

This is what Terrorism has brought to us. My solution to this is ALL NAKED FEMALE SECURITY. That should deter Terrorists.

    • Al Sieber

Marilyn, this is what the Patriot Act brought to us, and a war on terror that will never be won because the enemy wears no uniform, has no country, this war on terror will last a hundred years. they’re just trying to keep us safe, right?

      • CJ

It is oddly funny how the British complained of the colonists’ guerrilla tactics in 1775, and now we are complaining of the same tactic by our adversaries. Care to guess who will win?

Good thought… because if a islamie sees a naked woman.. He is to kill him self on the spot. Way to go Marilyn

      • 45caliber

Actually, I think we should kidnap many of the top Arab leaders and perform sex change operations on them. Then you sneak them back into their country and drop them naked in front of a crowd.

I like the idea of preflight grappling sessions with tall, lean, atheletic females. I’ll even hide a cheap knife in my britches for them to find and take from me with force. I do not want some big sweaty 300 pound thigh swishing she Big Foot. GOT to have the best personel. I would show early for flights and try to board often. The knives are cheap. These search teams should come in no less than three member units. A snappy hat, white blouse two sizes too small, no bra, and blue shorts without underwear should be official mandatory dress. I may want to search back while being searched. With all the man handling, they should all be able to retire at 32 with disability.

        @ Robin
        Its me again.
Robin, when I was a little boy, about 10, I heard a friend tell me about what the people on the other side of the world who were called Muslims do and that they had some very strange habits. The most interesting being the rule that if a Muslim mam or boy was to see a naked woman he had to go and kill himself right away, because he was defiled, whatever that means, and the reasom all the women covered themselves from head to toe with black cloth was to save the men and boys from the death that surely must happen if they see a naked women.
A few weeks later I saw a picture of a naked woman in a magizine and she was the most beautifull human I had ever seen. For a long time I was so sorry for all those Muslim men who had to kill themselves, and was glad I would not have to kill myself because I was not a Muslim and I had seen/saw a picture of a naked woman in a book.
Your post here reminded me of this whole silly sad part of my upbringing 61 years ago. Thank for the memories.

    • Ellen

And the terrorism is from within! Indeed, naked TSA thugs would certainly be a deterrent.

    • Mark Are

Oh, sure, the war on terror brought about by a false flag operation so that they could declare a war on terror that they created. What a joke… ON US.

The best response to airport gropers of any type is still a knee to the groin or a Japanese wristlock. It shouldn’t matter who the gropers are. Government employees should have even fewer rights than other criminals.

    • 45caliber

I agree. But the FBI still operates under the old rules established during the Depression – you can’t prosecute any of them for any crimes they may have done while on duty.

  • http://Google ProudChicagoan

Do you really think this is funny?? I think I have a great sense of humor; but, this is ridiculous. X-rays??? No matter how common place x-rays are today, it is still shooting radiation into the body. If one flies frequently, that is a lot of radiation. But, it is okay, especially for the children (sarcasm). I, for one, will quit flying and take a train. I have relatives in California and I live in Florida, so I would have to take 2 weeks vacation just to visit for a week so I can avoid all these stupid regulations. Wake up, people!! The only thing this will do is make the people who really want to harm us get more creative. This is only going to effect people who just want to go somewhere to visit, it will not effect the criminals. But, hey, let’s have more government interference since we cannot think or do anything for ourselves (sarcasm, again).
John McCain is a better choice than any democrap anyone can come with. Start thinking, people!!! Demoncraps are not for the people, they are for whatever will line their pockets and promote their agenda. Granted, I do not know if Republicans are any better, I guess I just think Reps are the lesser of 2 evils. I think I will become a Tea Partyer!!! Let’s hear from all you liberals, now.

    • CJ

Nearly every law passed only impacts the innocent. The intended target will always find a way around it and avoid the situation detailed in the law. Less government is nearly always the best option. Inconveninece the criminals, not the victim.

      • Ellen

        Well said, CJ.

      • 45caliber

        CJ:

I am shocked – SHOCKED! – that you would say such a thing! Any liberal will tell you that if they ban all guns the criminals will give their guns up to keep from breaking that law!

Government is the disease masquerading as the cure.

    • DaveH

Politicians like John McCain built this Government to the size it is, where a loose cannon like Obama can wreck so much havoc. John McCain is little better than a Democrat. We need to put all RINOs out of office. We need to elect only people who promise to shrink the size of Government dramatically. If we don’t, it will keep on growing and taking away more of our money and our freedom. If the Republicans can’t put up Small Government candidates then don’t vote for them.
Republicans may in many respects be more palatable than Democrats, but they still mostly love Big Government.
For Real Freedom and Limited Government, there is only one Party to vote for. Vote Libertarian.

Getting all flustered and then saying “I’m a good citizen, I have nothing to hide” and then start taking off all your clothes, asking if they want the Tampax also, your glad to throw it in the box to be scrutinized, or would they like to put gloves on and examine it, hurry decide, here it comes! They are trying to get us conditioned for the cattle cars, it is very obvious. The people that do these jobs are traitors and morons. Get “really scared” and piss all over there stupid machines, better yet, take laxatives and s–t all over them.

    • Al Sieber

Annie, good one, that Tampax might be a 2 part explosive, after all it has a fuse on it. these TSA employees have to have a I.Q. under 83 to get hired.

      • Bob

They only hire people that are going to tow the line.

      • CJ

The TSA’s requirements are actually very high, just no one with any sense is willing to take the risk. So, you end up with dumb people who barely pass the requirements but only see the $$$. Basic economics.

      • 45caliber

And the government thinks it is wrong to do a background check so many are ex-cons as well.

        • Dr. Mabuse

          Ex-Cons need love too…

    • Ken

      Well done Annie.

    • http://www.SaveLakeAtitlan.org Duende

I like your style Annie. My partner and I will be flying into Logan at the end of October and this article is ruffling my feathers for sure. I flew between CA and Fla after 9-11 and was pulled out of line for a pat down search. The agent asked if I minded.. I figured I’d get the better of him and told him with a lisp “No. I love man in uniform running their hands over my body”. Well he got the weirdest look over his face and a very strange smile as he started to bend down and gave me the best pat down anyone ever had :-)(I’m still not to sure who had the better sense of humor)
Anyway, I have to figure how I as a guy can use a Tampon other than flossing with the string, but keep an eye on the news to see if there’s a stir at Logan around Oct 22nd :-)

      • 45caliber

I agree with you. I don’t know who has the best sence of humor either.

I had a friend who does the gay part REALLY well. He was a member of a bridal party. At the reception, he was prancing around and was getting some strange looks from the guests. He went up to one woman who was considering the father of the bride and said, “Isn’t he just the sweetest thing?” Then he went over and kissed the father on top of his bald head.

I’m not sure who turned the reddest – the father or the woman.

    • Mark Are

NOW THAT IS FUNNY! But wait, maybe it would work! Especially since so many people look like those beached whales that we see in Walmart on those go carts!

    • http://YouTube.com/CanadaLarry Lawrence Edward Calcut

      @ Annie Ladysmith

Annie, your comments about the body search and the Tampon was right on.
How about another Idea. Tell the …. that you will never submit to a full body scan and its ok for a naked body search, and imediatly start right away to strip, but insist they hve to help you with bottons and zippers and bring in your five children and tell them to strip because they are not going to go into that Full Body Scanner either. Then bring on your grandpa who will also start to strip. After the insuing riot quietly get dressed and get on the plane to Florida and have a nice two week vacation at one of thoes beautiful Florida Nudist Parks. and
If you can have a friend who has some digit camera smarts film the whole thing and put it on YouTube.com. After it has been seen 33,000,000 times there may be such an uproar that the whole Body Scan thing will be a big joke and discarded as a bad idea.
Even Obama may laught at the video. He can laugh I assume.

      • http://?? Joe H.

        Annie,
Dam you my ribs are still hurting!!!! I laughed till I almost pizzed on myself!!! As far as the video, I’m not sure if it would help as everyone that saw it would be laughing so hard they couldn’t get anything accomplished!!! I’m still laughing!! and it’s been 24 hours since I read your post!!!!

The socialist democrats ;ove that tingly feeling all over, er know Blarney goes through the ckeck out line at least twice. As Sec. of State Hillary has had such warm fizzy feeling since she attended Wellsly College. With the 2 new SC judges, Sotamoron, and Gagin Kagin, will want to be in the air all the time. It is just another example to make the citizens feel like they have been queered every time they fly. I sure don’t have any problems profiling, it could be stopped if everyone just carried a side arm. First trouble maker, that starts going postal drop their sorry carcuss, there would be a lot more civility. Same goes for idoits, like Smuch Schumer, when he he overloaded his alligator mouth and harrassed the crew. Just another peice of offal disposed of would be shut up for good. Just like those goat humping imans, that created such problems in an air port a few years ago. If Ali Ben Dung Shab starts calling for his clay figurine god, things are going to get squirrly, putthe stinking idoit down and be safe, not sorry.

    • 45caliber

Actually I think the crew would have been well within their rights to have refused Shummer the right to ride on their craft. They should have opened the door and drop kicked him off.

    • http://?? Joe H.

i41 nah, just get him up in the air about 20,000 feet and force him into one of the toilets and stuff him in the commode and accidentally hit the dump mechanism!!!!! WOOSH! No more problem!!! No wasted lead!!!

  • FreedomFighter

Trains may become more popular, certainly more comfortable, for those with time.

Besides you ever seen anyone try and fly a train into the world trade center?

Blow up a train and the Islamoterrorist will have to build the victory center of whoreship some where nobody will give a toot about.

No one should subject themselves to hands on body searches that are totally illegal and absolutely nothing to do with this false security paradigm that is taking over America. Just say no to any physical searches and leave making alternative travel plans for your business or vacations schedules if possible.

  • Dr. Mabuse

These airport searches aren’t a true deterrent to terrorists, hell any time the Govt. boys want to pull off a false flag op to justify their bloated budgets and keep the fear factor in effect, they just do it. This whole process is part of a training scenario to get us acclamated to being subjugated by “authority.” I’m sure that most of you remember Rocky Bama’s campaign promise to repeal the Patriot Act. He, like the rest of Congress probably haven’t even read the thing. Well boys and girls, if you really want to terrorize yourself read Pat I, Pat II, The Victory Act (a real piece of work) The Military Comm. Act., and last but not least that sterling piece of legislation authored by McCain and “Tailgunner” Joe Lieberman, The Belligerent Act. The next phase of this training process is to have permanent check points on the Interstate Highways, and select locations in the Metropolitan areas. A final thought: There is only one way to meet naked aggression, and that is at the point of attack. Sleep tight kiddies.

    • 45caliber

With all the illegals slipping across the border, including terrorists, don’t you know that it will be necessary in the very near future to ban all travel beyond certain distances from your home. That way the police can identify any terrorists as they try to find a place to bomb.

      • Dr. Mabuse

I agree with the basic premise of your statement, but unfortunately the sleeper cells are already in place. Did you see that video of the two men from AZ who taped themselves coming across the border with a mock up dirty bomb? They forwarded the entire experience to “Homeland Security” and after no meaningful response, they did the exact same thing again. We are so vulnerable and its a damn shame.

        • 45caliber

I really think that with Homeland Security, it is meant to watch US – not anyone coming into the country. In fact, 60% of all spy satellites put into orbit is watching the US. They take pictures of everything every 4 seconds. The very first act Oblama did once he was sworn in was to okay the installation of a couple more of them.

        • Claire

Dr. Mabuse–Now you are thinking. You are correct, the sleeper cells are already here and in place.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            Claire,
Now wait a minute. He said that the towers were a government job. If so, then why would they need sleeper cells??? How about it Dr M?? which is it, government or terrorists???

  • http://joblessearnings.com Penny Muckleroy

That’s why I don’t fly. I know there may be a time I have to fly, but it won’t happen unless someone is dying. If they want me to spend my money on their government bailed out airlines they’ll have to keep their scanners and hands off my body and the bodies of my family members. Enough is enough. The only way they’ll get the message is when we quit spending our money with them. I know that will make it very inconvenient for us but we have to boycott all airlines that subject us to such humiliating procedures. I also object to being charged an airfair and then having to pay extra for bags. Who flies with no clothes.

  • concerned

If our security (I say this loosely) would have don’t their job in the first place our towers would still be standing. But everyone is afraid of “political correctness”. We should check every single person flying, entering our country by land, sea or air-
So the highjackers who did not have passports, who had one way tickets, no luggage and sweating profusely in terror- were never checked is a HUGE mistake, now we all have to suffer. If I have to take off my sweater when I pass thru security you have to take off your sheet.

    • CJ

As long as the laws are written to let the potential guilty get by, nothing will change. If we can’t use profiling, the fight is lost. If people don’t wake up to see the politics are acted on not to get the job done but to acclimate us to resist our natural instincts, we are a doomed race.

    • 45caliber

My wife (a middle aged woman of middle class background) flew to visit our son in another state. She was pulled out of line for a more extensive search. Right behind her was a man in flowing Arabic robes and his three wives and children. None of them were checked at all. It wouldn’t have been PC to make him think that he wasn’t trusted.

  • DANNY

There is an old saying that works in most cases. “Vote with your pocketbooks” In this case, don’t fly and the airlines will be screaming mad and changes will be made. On the other hand, thats probably what the end game is anyway. Run the airlines out of business just like our government is trying to run the country out of business.

Does anyone beside me think that things are getting out of control and it is time for “Change” of leadership?

    • 45caliber

We DEFINATELY need a change in leadership. Those in Washington now believe they are the rulers and wonder why we don’t bow when they enter a room. They certainly aren’t concerned about what we think of what they want to do.

  • http://yahoo.com robin

OK folks…. I read every comment here along with nine pretaning to what others said. I liked what i read.Evey one you said what you felt inside.thats good. but let me ask you. how far did what you had to say go?? hummmmmm ….Every thing falls back to the people who wants to see the right things done.A lot of people will ask.. What ir right any more. Ok. We have a moral duty to our selves first.. then to others. Now i will throw in my thought right here and now.Throw out the electoral vote. AND LET THE PEOPLE SAY who they want to represent them by popular vote, folks this is the only way you will ever see any thing done. You will have to stand up and be heard. how much more will you take of this present situation… And one more thing. some where in time… no body knows when it will take place .. but there is going to be… heard… a voice that every ear will hear. and at time if you are not satisfied then either way its not going to matter except to those who were waiting to hear that voice i speak of. Now is the time folks.. not later… Stand and be heard before BIG GOV. has its time with you

    • bbstacker

The Electoral College was put in place by the Founding Fathers to thwart the whole failure of “democratic” voting. We live in a Federal Republic, well, we used to about 230-some odd years ago. Democracy is majority rule, and this is what you’ve got now. A Republic balances out the government so that the 51% don’t impart their will on the other 49%. But, I, too, believe that the system is so screwed up, so rigged and altered by all sorts of schemes and BS that voting seems to be nothing but a fluffy, fair idea that might never have ever been truly honest. I know many that voted for Oboingo because they did not want to see Billary on the ticket–well, guess what they got! A Nobody from nowhere with NO experience. TSA is a bunch of trained chimps who are part of the massive expansion of gov’t. It’s hard not to fly when you have to be somewhere in a reasonable time, but there certainly are plenty of reasons to find alternatives. Video Conferencing for business is getting a lot of new attention.

  • 45caliber

As an ex-prison guard, I can tell you that this search is useless. The ONLY way to find MOST (not all) things is to strip search. Even then things can be missed. The most they can do is find a large gun or knife. They will miss the small stuff, which can be just as dangerous.

  • Earl, QUEENS, NY

It would be nice if this government would treat illegal aliens they way they harass American citizens. But that’ll never happen as long as this politically correct leftwing regime is in the District of Corruption!!

    • 45caliber

There was an article in the Houston Chronicle this morning that was similar to this. I’ll see if I can’t find the thing again and post a link. Basically the INS judges are taking the stance that if the illegal didn’t do anything violent, they release him. But if an American does what they did, the American gets punished for it.

I can’t afford to fly anywhere. My wife has so many metal implants that she doesn’t want to. I think that even if we could we would choose NOT to fly. Wonder what would happen if a whole bunch of people refused to fly…

    • http://?? Joe H.

      NormP,
I know what you are talking about. I have pins and screws in my back and they set off the detectors from time to time. I fly with a prescrip telling them I have them and they use the wand on me!! It’s crazy!!! Yet, just before 9/11 my father in law went through the metal detectors with me taking my wife to her gate and he set off the detectors. He automatically took out his card that says that he has metal wire in his chest from open heart surgery and then they ran the wand over him. Well to make a long story short, when we got back to the car he said whew I was worried there for a minute. I looked over and he was standing there with a hand full of 22 bullets!! He had been trying to get a couple of groundhogs that had been getting his garden and forgot they were in his pocket!!! they never found them!!! Must have been thirty of them in there!!

At this moment I am editing a manuscript on radigraphy. The radiation can be devastating if they use too much. It causes leukemia. Sure hope they know what they are doing–same with hospitals, clinics, etc. I wonder if this may be part of the reason there is so much cancer? Sure makes me wonder.

    • Claire

Another issue I wonder about, if a person acquires cancer, they use radiation and chemo. Since too much radiation causes cancer, why is it used for treatment? Hopefully I will learn more as I edit this manuscript.

  • HighSugarLowIQ

    @Claire

I will help you with the radiation questions if you and some female friend will help me get over my strip search fears.

Not all radiation is the same. From very low frequency radio waves to gamma rays it is all electro magnetic radiation which includes sunlight. Each radiation waveform interacts differently with “matter” depending on the family of radiation. The emmitter, chemical or machine, also has a lot to do with the outcome. Better to be zapped with some alpha or beta radiation from a cosmic ray collision with the atmosphere than inhale a wee bit of pultonium dust.

Cancer cells are more sensitive to radiation for amoung many reasons they are multipling at an abnormally fast rate. Cancer and radiation are like Russian roulette and bullets. Take a look at what happened to who at Chernoble, Russia. Some died that should have lived and vice versa.

    • Claire

HighSugarLowIQ—Strip search? This is something I will never have to think about. I have never been on an airplane. Nor will I ever be on one. Sure, it is quicker, but I will take my chances on the ground. Strip search? I guess a person will have to endure it or they will have to start driving to where they want to go. I have mixed thoughts about this issue. First of all, I want would-be bombers to be caught, but they will HAVE to do it to ALL people regardless of nationality.

I say go to airport wearing a turbin, full body robe and a kuran and you wont have to worry about being searched. Simple.

    • 45caliber

Unfortunately, you are probably right. Particularly if you kneel in prayer just before you board.

  • Hi Desert ED

I quit flying a number of years ago after being subjected to the TSA full treatment while still convalescing from a serious accident (pedestrian vs pickup at high speed while securing an accident scene when rear-ended by a drunk driver). At the time I was wearing a wrist and hand immobilizing brace on my left arm and using a wooden cane (with difficulty) to ambulate so I wouldn’t clog up the parade with a walker.
Since it was quite obvious by my stiff, halting gait that I was either disabled or a world class actor I was subjected to a full pat down/metal scan remove your belt routine by a squad of 3 goons that looked like NFL rejects. They were extremely upset at my insistence on being seated and taking longer than they thought proper to comply with their wishes.
Until some rational security measures are adopted by the airlines and forced onto TSA (instead of allowing a bunch of police academy rejects dictating policy) I will continue to refuse to fly. I would consider 2 marlin-spikes per seat and whatever edged weapon you choose to carry as basic and reasonable security measures (check your firearms, too much hazard of a stray shot hitting a hydraulic/electronic/fuel line)
As long as people continue to act as STEEPLE instead of free men (and women) this overpriced sham security routine will continue and the permitted insanity will only increase.

  • http://gunner689 gunner689

I was flying to Ireland a few years ago and had to go through Logan airport. I asked a TSA employee what ever happened to the TSA people who let the terrorists through the gates with fake ID’s and box cutters on 9/11. He got real defensive and finally said that they’re not there anymore. I wonder if they were fired or just transfered? No one seems to be held accountable for anything anymore.
I’ve bot a lot of shrapnel in my body from Nam so I often set off the metal detector and get to do the wand check. A few years ago my wife and I were on a Delta flight to Fla. that was delayed in Atlanta. They put us up in some flea bag motel that was nothing more than a glorified crackhouse. Thanks to the new rules I didn’t have as much as a pocket knife to defend us with. Needless to say there wasn’t a lot of slleping going on that night.

I feel one of the simplest ways to avoid all of these hassles is to be an Independent Freight Agent. You do not have to own a truck, have an MC Number or carry a bond and you do not have to give up a fat piece of your commission to the broker. You’ll be able to run the business for $200 to $250 per month from your home or anywhere you’ve got a cellphone and internet connection. Freight Broker Software
