Totalitarianism American-Style

April 2, 2012 by

Totalitarianism American-Style

Television pundits, political hacks, progressives in higher education, brainwashed educators and the elite rulers in the halls of the Washington, D.C., cesspool love to call America a democracy. Most of the people believe it. After all, it is what is they were taught in school. But it is not so. America is a totalitarian society.

When envisioning a totalitarian regime, most American people imagine concentration camps, soldiers roaming the streets demanding “papers” and people disappearing in the dead of night. Totalitarianism American-style is more subtle. It has had to be, because the ancestors of today’s Americans believed in freedom and were willing to fight and die to preserve it.

Totalitarianism American-style has grown slowly and imperceptibly over many years. This is gradualism.

Much like watching your child grow if you see him every day, there is no perceptible difference until one day you realize the boy you saw yesterday is now a man. American totalitarianism has suddenly become a man.

The signs are all around for those who choose to see. You no longer have to search for them. Thanks to the Internet, which somehow remains out of government’s control, the signs are now appearing in plain sight, even if still only a minority realizes what the signs mean.

The ruling elites — politicians, judges and bureaucrats in government agencies — claim to have our best interests at heart. (I speak here of the ruling elites at the Federal, State and local levels.) The people believe this despite the contrary evidence. In truth, the ruling elites — with few exceptions — are looking out for their own interests, and their own interests are gaining more wealth and more power. That they do so at the expense of those they rule over bothers them not a whit.

That’s because they view the masses as worker bees and themselves as wise and omnipotent rulers. The worker bees are always expendable and replaceable. The ruling elites think nothing of confiscating the fruits of the labor of the worker bees — even to the point of making it unprofitable for the worker bees to continue their efforts — or sending them into battle to die in phony wars under the pretense of patriotism.

Many people, as they read this, will be quick to blame Barack Obama or George W. Bush. They would be both right and wrong. Obama and Bush are but two in a long line of human parasites who live or lived off the masses through deception and manipulation. The line includes Presidents current and past, Congresses current and past, Governors and State legislatures current and past, and local governments current and past. They are the true 1 percent.

The mindset that drives the ruling elites has been around for thousands of years. The actions of the ruling elites are evident throughout history and their methods and results can be studied. Unfortunately, there are few people today who study and understand history (that is to say history that has not been varnished by the elites). That’s why the elites are able to continue their ways.

The U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights were drafted by men who understood history and how the political and social order is the creation of evil men who wish to rule humanity. So they created a document meant to put shackles on those who would impose authoritarianism and tyranny. But the Founders didn’t count on Americans becoming ignorant and complacent. They presumed that Americans would be ever vigilant against the evil forces of the ruling elites and would value their freedom and liberties more even than their creature comforts.

How wrong they were. Americans have grown more ignorant, given into fear and sloth, and chosen to cede their freedoms and liberties for the false hope of protection and leisure. As long as the elites, aided by their propaganda ministers in the mainstream media, proclaim they are not stealing any liberties but are simply doing what must be done to keep everyone “safe,” Americans readily accept it as gospel.

America has played right into the hands of the ruling elites who demonstrated the patience of Job while waiting for this to occur.

We now live in a state of perpetual war. The so-called War on Terror has been going on for decades; it began long before it was ever given that name. There is no end in sight. Our government tells us that there are enemies to the left of us and enemies to the right. And when those enemies run out, there are enemies in our own neighborhoods and in our own families.

Over the past few years, we have learned that enemies of America are people who:

  • Believe in smaller government.
  • Believe the 10th Amendment is still valid.
  • Buy items using cash.
  • Store food and water for their own use.
  • Buy weapons.
  • Served in the military.
  • Display Gadsden flags (once a symbol of America’s struggle for freedom).
  • Photograph landmarks.
  • Videotape police officers.
  • Oppose gun laws.
  • Petition government (which was once a right guaranteed under the 1st Amendment).

Even people who support Ron Paul’s Presidential candidacy are considered domestic terrorists and feared by the elites, who work overtime in back rooms in order to ensure Paul’s message of liberty is contained.

We now have a President who has determined he can be the sole judge and jury and decide who should be executed. Congress says little and does nothing and is, therefore, complicit. This effectively annulled the 5th, 6th and 8th Amendments.

We have a President who has decided he alone — with approval of the United Nations or NATO and in direct violation of the Constitution — can decide whether to send American forces into battle. A meaningless Obama impeachment bill has been introduced, but it is a minor triviality and of no consequence.

Congress passed and the President signed a bill in 2001 — and then reauthorized it on multiple occasions (the USA Patriot Act) — that gives government the authority to conduct warrantless searches of our finances and our communications, regardless of whether we are suspected of being an enemy of America (see above).

Congress passed and the President signed a bill that authorizes government to arrest Americans — even if on U.S. soil — and hold them without charge or trial in a secret location (National Defense Authorization Act).

Congress passed and the President signed a bill (Obamacare) that will require you to enter into a contract to pay for a service (health insurance) you may not want or need. Lower courts’ rulings on the issue have been mixed. The issue was heard by the U.S. Supreme Court last week. Who knows whether the justices will rule correctly, finding that the law should be struck down as unConstitutional?

It is telling — and indicative that the left/right paradigm is a false one — that, going into the Supreme Court hearing, news reports indicated that even Justice Anthony Kennedy and Chief Justice John Roberts may vote to uphold the law. Kennedy was appointed by Ronald Reagan, and Roberts was appointed by Bush. We were told they were conservative justices who would uphold the Constitution.

The FBI is creating “terrorists” and then patting itself on the back when it uncovers and thwarts the terror plots it helped create.

We are now unable to fly by commercial plane — and travel by some trains — without first being subjected to either an intimate patdown/sexual assault or a dose of harmful radiation — and sometimes we get both. This further establishes that the government believes we are all terrorists who must demonstrate our innocence.

Congress recently passed and the President signed a bill that nullified a portion of the 1st Amendment by making it unlawful to protest if a government “official” is in the area. This is subject to the whim of law enforcement.

Local police departments are becoming increasingly militarized and increasingly militant and strident. They now routinely arrest people for taking video of police actions or public meetings, and they confiscate cameras and cellphones. They abuse peaceful protesters. In Chicago, police officers recently told a journalist his “1st Amendment rights can be terminated and have limits.” Unfortunately, the idea that a citizen must obey any order simply because a police officer says so is typical of today’s cop. Ignore a police “order” and you are subject to being tasered and arrested. Children are even being tasered in school.

The medical mafia enlists local police officers to do their dirty work and remove children from parents if the parents try and decide what is best for their children’s health. There are many stories like that of Scott and Jodi Ferris and Maryanne Godboldo.

Your child, who is forced by law to attend public indoctrination centers commonly referred to as schools, must receive a series of harmful vaccinations before being allowed to enter.

The food mafia, under the cover of the Food and Drug Administration, is now arresting people for drinking raw milk, and has made it illegal to own hogs of a certain color. It has determined that walnuts are drugs that should be regulated and that kids should not be allowed to grow and sell rabbits or open lemonade stands.

Local governments have made it illegal to grow “unapproved” flowers and vegetables in yards, smoke in public, eat salty foods, purchase meals that include children’s toys, throw trash into garbage bins or hold Bible studies in homes.

Do you still think you’re free?

Just remember, it’s all for your own good.

    The OP writes:

WAS more subtle. What with the militarization of the Police that you mentioned we now have “soldiers” roaming the streets demanding “papers”. Usually your drivers license and insurance but also in this case where the police wanted to see his papers to make sure he wasn’t a felon in possession of a firearm.

And now with the NDAA, police harassment of journalists with video cameras and that new law about not protesting near government officials, totalitarianism in America has stopped being subtle.

    • Michael J.

I agree, the remaining subtlety in totalitarianism government is so slight that it is difficult to detect or describe.

Bob’s words otherwise seem to quote my thoughts in an A to Z spectrum of current societal analysis. For example, I regard the Internet as one of our most valuable assets rivaling the first and second amendments in it’s importance.

While the frogs are now simmering, those of us who scour the web have jumped clear of the pot. The remaining luke warmed amphibians blissfully floating in their recliner chair boob tube viewing chambers with remotes in hand are destined for serfdom in a way their complacency has not yet imagined. (What do you mean we no longer live in a free America???).

      • mark

Michael J, “I agree, the remaining subtlety in totalitarianism government is so slight that it is difficult to detect or describe.” Oh really? Well let me describe a few of the sublte differences for you. In Stalin’s totalitarian Soviet Union, there was no free press that criticized the government. In the U.S., thousands of media outlets and blogs (including this one) constantly criticize the government. In Stalin’s state, all multiparty elections were outlawed. In the U.S. multi-party elections are held almost constantly, every 2 and 4 years at the federal level and virtually every year at the state, county, and local level. In Stalin’s state, no freedom of religion was permitted. In the U.S., hundreds of thousands of churchs, synagogues, mosques, and temples flourish, filled to capacity with worshippers. In Stalin’s state, no habeus corpus, trial by jury with representation by attorney existed. Hundreds of thousands of examples of this occur every year in America’s courts. In Stalin’s state, no right to assembly was permitted. The recent tea party rallies and OWS protests demonstrate how this freedom is still very much alive in the U.S.A. In Stalin’s Russia, private property was prohibited. Over one hundred million Americans own their own homes, private businesses, or enterprises. In Stalin’s Russia 100% of all workers were employees of the central state, in the U.S. around 11% are (this does not include another 10% who work for local gov’t). In Stalin’s state no individual had a right to own a firearm, the current United States has the highest rate of private gun ownership of any society in world history. In Stalin’s Russia, in both peace and war, all 18 year olders were immediately conscripted into the armed forces. Conscription has been outlawed in the U.S. for forty years now and was only enforced in our history during wars and emergencies.

But you’re right. I stand corrected. These differences between a classic totalitarian state like Stalin’s and 2012 America are so tiny and so miniscule that they are almost undetectable at this point. We virtually live in Stalin’s Russia today, Michael, just as black is white and night is day and 2+2=5.

      • Michael J.

Stalin’s Russia and Castro’s Cuba were overun by all out military communist revolution as dictated by the Communist Manifesto.

Realizing this would never work in the west, they turned communist revolution into communist evolution in a slow generational process. The Communist Manifesto was reworded in a way thought digestable by the west which was re-dubbed “Political Correctness”, whose mandates and end goals are virtually identical. Though the time scale that seperates the two tactics are different, the end results are the same.

The fact that you can not discern the snails pace transformation, is a sign of their cleverness that they no doubt appreciate.

      • GALT

Well Mr Livingston if I understand you correctly your argument is; We are NOT a democracy, and then you list a string of anecdotal and somewhat relative evidence, and conclude that ergo, we are under the thumb of a totalitarian regime.

Given the premise and your conclusion one wonders why you have not been arrested and rendered to some foreign land where you can be silenced for the threat you pose…..and this is almost as much of a mystery as the gentleman who poses such a threat to the power companies, and whose “secret” is so dangerous, that you better get it now,
BEFORE THEY SHUT HIM DOWN! but which hasn’t happened…..yet? ( and never will! )

While you have this amazing reverence for the founder’s, the founders did not seem to share that same reverence for the people, intellectually or in their capacity for vigilance,
otherwise a democracy would have seemed to be the obvious choice. Yet the only thing
that was offered to the people on the federal level, was the right to vote for congressional
representatives. Judges were appointed, Senators chosen by the states, and the President by the electoral college. ( or failing that the House )

Even the process of Ratification was a restricted one, all or nothing, with some amazing bits of skullduggery to limit or avoid the complications of any extensive debate, and where the term “founders” is in actuality, reduced to two of the three author’s of the Federalist Papers……to one of which you owe a great deal, and you have a Bill of Rights because he changed his mind. ( historically the Federalist Papers have been accorded much more
influence than they actually had……and the all or nothing part, as well as the debt owed
were probably more influential.) see Ratification: the People’s Debate of the Constitution.

As for the “ruling elite”, this seems to be a little nebulous and it becomes difficult to cite the government as the source…..especially if they have been corrupted……which means bought and paid for……making them neither the rulers or the elite……and begging the question……bought and paid for by whom and for what purpose?

So while all the “problems” you cite are in fact “problems” to be solved, they can not be solved unless the source of those problems is actually identified……since you do nothing
to make any of this any clearer, you pose no threat. ( nor do you have any solutions.)

I submit to you sir, that the sources of corruption are myriad, which each pursuing their
own perceived self interest, attempting to keep what they have, and wanting MORE.
Many of these are immortal and stateless, legally compelled to seeks profits without
moral constraint and without any consideration for the public well being. They are effectively larger than most countries and beyond the reach of all……free to play all against all……and finding the cost of corrupting any of them, a mere inconvenience.

Government’s, including ours, are simply facilitator’s of this process……and there is
nothing more delightful or useful to them, than voices citing the government as the problem whose solution is to disempower or defund the only mechanism that has kept them in check this long…….after all, one does not have to bother to continue to corrupt, that which has been rendered impotent?

        • Bob Livingston

          Dear Galt,

That is quite a piece of historical revisionism. Are you paid extra for creativity?

          Best wishes,

      • Tom W.

        SIC him Bob!!!

      • kkflash

You’ve taken a lot of time to try and blame corporations and financial influence for the failures of government to meet, but not exceed, its mandates as described in our Constitution. You seem to have missed the point of the article, which is that our individual rights are being gradually curtailed by misapplication of the powers of government. Redirecting the blame for government overreach to some nameless corporation does not justify the power-grabbing actions of our elected representatives. In fact, doing so magnifies the wrong they have done to us, their constituents, by adding infidelity to the list of ways in which they have failed us.

      • GALT

Well Mr. Livingston, if you could direct me to the paymaster, I’ll see what it’s worth…unfortunately I think you over estimate your value….and you are certainly no threat
to the government, because they put really dangerous people in jail, like Irwin Schiff.

As for what has been revised, any specific citation would be helpful…..or you could read the book…….since most of the previous available material, essentially focused on the
“insider” stuff……( like the two volume The Debate on the Constitution. )
and if you are opposed to the strong central government, your interests
would be more appropriately aligned with the anti-federalists.

As for the unconstitutionality of the health care bill, good luck…..forcing people to participate or buy something has already occurred….and that was when the constitution was still in effect……you would know it as Social Security? Of course it is actually a voluntary program…..26 CFR 31.3402 (p) just as the health care bill is……since there is no means to enforce the mandate, and actually specific provisions against any enforcement….unconstitutional doesn’t even enter into it.

As for the other gentleman, if you doubt the power of corporations or the fact that they have no loyalty to to any country, you might profit from reading Power Inc. by David
Rothkoph, which begins in Sweden around 1100 with the oldest, still existing corporation in the world…….I assure you it is history which may be a little different than you’re familiar with…….but you don’t have to, abuse of power is heavily reliant on willfull ignorance….
all that is required to maintain the Social Security Program is the belief that it is mandatory.

I believe that is far more response than this rather weak attempted criticism was worth,
        so until next time……

      • Ron Christopher

Actually, we never lived in a free nation. We live in a nation of laws, which prohibits us from being free. If we were free then we would have no taxes, no need to buy a drivers license, etc. Further, we do not live in a democracy, we live in a Republic.

      • GALT

No? A republic? Really? You mean like it says in the Pledge of Allegiance, which is recited every day of school? Of course this same pledge also says, “with liberty and justice for all”!

      • David A Deal

Mark has it right. This is just a pile of paranoia. Sure we have stupid laws in certain states and we as people challenge them as we should. The police being able to stop a citizen from filming them in public is crap and people will put an end to that for it reeks of secrecy and gives police too much power. Cops have to be accountable for their actions if they cross the line. Of course we have places like Arizona which is taking over the line action against Hispanics to vent their bigotry. A recent school board decision that was supported by their governor ended a Mexican/American studies class because ignorant people in charge with clear bigotry were scared to let people hear the truth about certain aspects of history and have honest discussions about those things and how they relate in today’s world. It reeked of the book burning mentality.

    • T i m

Mr. Livingston , If you ask 1 0 people , what is a democracy, I bet you gona get 1 0 different answers . Does any one know the correct definition . Mr. Romney is being pumped to be the Republican Messiah …ALL BECAUSE BUSH SENIOR SAID SO , past CHRISTMAS week . Now, we watch every Republican BIG DOG endorse Mitt Romney , because daddy BUSH said so . …Mr. Romney is going to carry on where Obama is . It is no wonder the BIBLE call us people SHEEP . We do what we are told because the top dog said so . AMERICA’s monetary system with Federal Reserve expires next year , and that will force AMERICA to either re new the current contract with Federal Reserve , OR START OVER . …No matter who the president is , our monetary system changes . OR CONTINUE , BUSINESS AS USUAL . Congress does not want to miss a paycheck , is primary reason RON PAUL has been blacklisted by the media . From what I see RON PAUL does not follow the top dog . I will continue to support RON PAUL . T i m

      • Lew

Tim WE are not a democracy my friend. Please take the time to read this. And pass it on to others.

        “Crystal says: Democide… ”

        Instead, it is Repuglicide…

        • joseph foster

My response what is Democracy it is a system that should be abolished. Here is what Churchill said it is the worst system but nothing has been found, he went on to say speak to an average voter for minutes. The politicians buy votes in the form of offering the voter Goodies, such as if I am elected I shall provide all kid free lunch at school, or perhaps offer all citizens free gas for two weeks each year.
Then comes special interest group support our interest and we shall fund you political campaign.
Perhaps we should replace by another system that will remove the incentive of bribing the voter.
          By Joseph Foster

      • vicki

You will get 10 different answers cause there are 10 different ways to describe the evil beast called democracy. Here are a few.

        1. 2 wolves and a lamb voting on dinner
        2. Mob rule
        3 Tyranny of the majority
        4 3000 tyrants 1 mile away replacing 1 tyrant 3000 miles away
5 (actually examples of 2,3 above)

      • Reykool

TIM I support Ron Paul 100%,
Now about “Democracy” there is ONLY one definition for it . DEMOCRACY is NOT an English word (England don’t know what Democracy is anyway, ask the Queen or the prime minister who is always picked by the Rothschilds … they enslave the world for centuries including America) IT IS A GREEK WORD (in English) GOVERNED BY THE PEOPLE….when was the last time the American people “governed” themselves ?
The United States was NEVER a Democracy (pure Democracy does not exist) It was originally a CONSTITUTIONAL FEDERAL REPUBLIC…but Today the United States is a managed centrally planned economy much like the old Soviet Union with the FEDERAL RESERVE taking over the role of the Politburo, WE ARE IN FACT A CORPORATIST OLIGARCHY which is a merger between BIG GOVERNMENT and BIG CORPORATIONS (or CARTELS) Communism, Corporatism, or fascism give all the power to a small group or “Elite” who make the decisions and “rules” for the ignorant and obedient masses : those who are bitching but do not do anything about it…Incredibly the American idiots are ready to “vote” for corporatist stooges like Mitt Rodney, Sarah Palin, Gingrich or WORST Rick Santorum with part of the “package” the bombing or Iran more Tax breaks for millionaires and more military contractors like KBR incorporating in Caiman Island and pay no US tax while charging the Pentagon $800 for hammers and contaminated water for our troops….

      • Bill

I’m with you Tim, don’t give up.

    • Flashy

Vicki…re; your comments about police demanding “papers”. But… isn’t this the case with Arizona’s Immigration law ? It’s touted as the path to follow to ‘control’ illegal immigration. Be stopped by a cop for whatever reason, and they can demand to see “papers” proving you are in this country legally. Wonder how may “Canadian looking” people this will affect?

The right, by cheering on the passage of the unPatriotic Act, by remaining in steadfast support as BushII/Cheney “fought” terrorism, allowed the police state to become a normal facet of our everyday lives.

Oh today they whine and moan, and blame it on everyone but themselves. Fact is, had there been one iota of pushback by the Conservative ‘patriotic” TPers, those laws would not have been passed. instead, those who stood against them were denigrated and insulted and pushed aside because it was more important to ‘protect” themselves than to fight for our liberties. Oh how patriotic of them to now blame others.

We have this noisy contingent who even now states there is to be no compromise. With untutored minds, clinging to robotic recitations of dogma, harsh judgments, harsh divisions, and uncompromising positions, they cause stalemate on any protections of American freedoms and liberties and claim “victory” when such are defeated.

They hold firmly to believe what they are told, fail to think independently, and grasp upon simplistic unworkable solutions to complex problems. They castigate the “liberals” (in their mind those to the left of Attila the Hun) for being unable to draft a budget for this nation, all the while working hard to ensure any budget is uncompromising in benefiting the wealthy and Big Corporations and cutting any benefit to the 99% of Americans who are not within the “Club”.

Take the recent budget passed by the House. It slashes taxes to big Corporate America and the wealthy while slashing at the monies for food and medical aid to the Middle and Low income Classes. And they fervently believe what they are told, that this “budget” can balance the budget by finding trillions in tax loopholes … approx. $700 billion in loopholes each year. And…this is the best part…because they are told, they ask no proof..such as..just exactly what “loopholes” will be eliminated? (Ans..the Ryan Budget doesn’t say)

They decry “regulations” which protect us. Financial oversight, food and environmental safety, safety standards protecting workers, infrastructure, R&D into new technologies. Overhaul of our broken medical care system.

And then they attack the problems created by their demands without providing solutions other than insist we return to an agrarian society and withdraw our empire from history.

And now? Yep….they are demanding what they allowed to now be halted. And yes, blaming it on everyone but themselves.

The kind of patriotism that just gives you goosebumps all over knowing these stalwart fine folk are there to protect America’s back. .

      • Sirian

Wooohhh, looks like you got a bad case of the Monday whines Flasho. Just saying. . .

      • Flashy

Sirian…naw, just the article kind of pushed the wrong buttons by railing against exercise of governmental powers while not placing appropriate blame. There’s enough to go around, with the significant portions of the powers being railed against are those implemented during the 00′s. And of those major intrusions, those who stood tall and brave against them were the ones most of the posters on this site, and their ilk, denigrated and castigated as being “pro-Muslim” or some other bogey man created for them to be scared of …but one cannot ascertain that in reading this article .

      • JeffH

Yeah, a real bad case of the progressive whine…want some cheese and cracker to go with that whine flashy, you little brown eyed devi?(because he’s full of it)

Oh, those evil Tea Parties…they really have upset your “big government” apple cart huh?

Yeah flashy, you’ve been “love stricken” by the very “people” Mr. Livingston mentioned in his commentary. But I guess you have to place the blame somewhere, so go ahead and blame the evil Tea Party…at least deer bob and Alex and a couple other libs might agree with you.

        Repeat after me, I’M A PROGRESSIVE, I’M A PROGRESSIVE, I’m A PROGRESSIVE! There, wasn’t that easy?

      • DaveH

Flashman says — “We have this noisy contingent who even now states there is to be no compromise. With untutored minds, clinging to robotic recitations of dogma, harsh judgments, harsh divisions, and uncompromising positions, they cause stalemate on any protections of American freedoms and liberties and claim “victory” when such are defeated”.
“no compromise”. Give it up, Flashdunce, you’re talking to intelligent people here — not your fellow Liberals. We know that “compromise” is a meaningless manipulative word used by people like yourself to fool unintelligent people into accepting further degradation of their Freedom. What’s interesting is that Progressives whine about lack of “Compromise” when they present bills to increase Spending, but they remain silent about “Compromise” when Conservatives present bills to decrease the Spending. It turns out that the Progressive idea of “Compromise” is a One-Way Street.
And talk about “robotic recitations of dogma”, virtually every time Flashman comments he includes fabricated facts which he apparently figures people will start to believe if he repeats them often enough — Propaganda, in other words.
Flashman, you have no credibility on this board. Ask me to prove it.

      • DaveH

Flashman tries to place the blame for Big Government on the Conservatives, then in the very same comment he cheer leads Bigger Government with statements like this — “They decry “regulations” which protect us. Financial oversight, food and environmental safety, safety standards protecting workers, infrastructure, R&D into new technologies. Overhaul of our broken medical care system”.
Good Grief, Flashman. Do you have any scruples at all?
A Sociopath is a person who will do or say whatever he can get away with to achieve his goals — damn any kind of morality. I think Flashman fits that mold pretty darn well.

      • Sirian

OK, yes, I agree – “There’s enough to go around, with the significant portions of the powers being railed against are those implemented during the 00’s.” 00’s, yes – 1908 to be more specific. TR initiated it, the Progressive Party, if you remember correctly. So, that “00” I will agree with. Not what you are obviously inferring.

      • absolutely amazed

Flashy’s correct – the Regressives want papers for those whom they don’t like, and to deny papers for whom they want not to vote. The recent campaign to restrict voting rights to those who drive automobiles, etc., is proof certain – the Regressive,Tea Party totalitarian state.

The dictator happens to be the one right wing controlling vote on the Supreme Court, or the one filibustering Tea Partier in the Senate – that is where our government is an absolute failure.

      • Duane

Sounds like you are describing the democrats and liberals all, Flashy. As a matter of fact is sounds exactly like the democrats and left wing libetards.

Tell us Flashy, how do you propose that we control illegal aliens in this country? Are you suggesting that we handle it like we might if someone figured out a way to get inside the gates of DisneyWorld? That is to say if they can get in they are free to ride all the rides and take in the sights. All they have to do is get past the gate.

      • Eddie

Dumb, Dumber, Obummar…and there is the Diktator & Liar in Chief’s Propaganda Minister “Flashy”, ….trying to brainwash people like the self acclaimed comminists Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels (I am sure “Flashy” doesn,t even know who that is) and Saul Alinsky….Hey Flashy, you like communism so much, how come you don’t move to Cuba, Venezuela, Russia – to mention a few, you can have such a great life there.

      • Michael Beglin

You blame Bush/Cheney for the PATRIOT Act, when in fact it was the House and Senate that had to approve it. In the first place, no legislation is to be introduced by the President, but by Congress. Secondly, Obama took the PATRIOT Act, gave it steroids and buffed it up, called it our last NDAA, and made it even more illegal than it already was.

During his campaign, Obama blamed Bush for ALL of our countries problems, promised to go back to Constitutional rule, promised to do away with anything unConstitutional, and stop needlessly killing our soldiers.

The fact is, Obama has lied about EVERY SINGLE ONE of his campaign promises. Obama is more George Bush than George Bush is. Obama is a liar, plain and simple. You know how you can tell Obama is lying? He is speaking.

Everyone out there that blames Bush for our current mess is a fool. Obama has had plenty of time to fix these issues, but instead made them all worse. Obama is the worst President in our history, and I am deeply ashamed to admit that I believed his BS and voted for him. I honestly hoped he would turn our country around, but instead he drove us into the deepest mess in which America has ever been.

We should hold our House and Senate more responsible for our decline than any President. They should keep the President in check, and not be his lap-dogs, as they are now. If the President sends the troops in somewhere, the money should be withheld to keep them there. All America does is fight, and Obama is very good at keeping us fighting.

Obama, Holder, and 93 Senators should be in a jail cell right now, awaiting trial for treason against the U.S. Government and Constitution. The NDAA act alone should have been enough for that. Operation Fast and Furious is another reason. There is NO WAY Holder and Obama were ignorant of that operation. No way. If they were, then they are too incompetent to hold their jobs. Obama wanting us to sign on to the U.N. Small Arms Ban is another violation of our Constitution. For a man that supposedly taught classes on the Constitution, I do not think Obama has even read or understood the document.

Obama has absolutely no desire whatsoever to restore our lost liberties. That would go against the power of our Big Government Nanny State.

Obama claims over 3 million jobs were created last year. That’s nice. He failed to mention that his administration gave out OVER 3 million Green Cards for Mexican workers. I’m glad the Mexicans have an easier time getting work in our country than we do. Good for them.

I am starting to believe that Obama will continue using the Constitution for toilet paper in an effort to cause massive civil unrest. Then he can declare martial law. A lot of Liberals expected Bush to do this, I did not. I honestly believe, given the chance, that Obama WILL. 4 more years of Obama will destroy what is left of this country. Obama is the biggest mistake we have made in our nation’s history.

I will vote for any Republican in 2012, even that slime-ball Newt. Ron Paul is my first choice, but he actually believes in the Constitution. There is no way the establishment will let him win for that reason alone. Our politicians do not want us to have Liberty. The only real freedom we have is the freedom to complain online. That can’t hurt them, so they don’t care.

“They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”
        Ben Franklin

Americans, in their fear and cowardice after 9/11, have forgotten this very important truth. More people need to get involved in politics. The government should fear the people, not the other way ’round. I am sick and tired of Americans being denied their rights over this one issue.

America is dying. Now, what are we going to do about it?

      • Tom W.

LOL!!! Flashdunce! LOL!!! LOL!!! Grandslam DaveH!!! It’s goin’ back, bac, bac, bac…. it’s GONE!!!

      • Tom W.

Flushy, you ignorant s!#t, how is asking somebody to show you a valid drivers licence when they’re pulled over for a routine traffic stop violating their rights?!! Let’s ask the legal Mexican-Americans down along the border if they mind that suspected illegals be asked to show some valid ID when stopped for some kind of infraction? I’ll bet they support such measures!!! Get rid of the thug, drug smuggling MS 13, Scarface wannabes!!! What’s the problem Flushdunce?!!

      • DaveH

Absolutely Amazed says — “Flashy’s correct – the Regressives want papers for those whom they don’t like, and to deny papers for whom they want not to vote. The recent campaign to restrict voting rights to those who drive automobiles, etc., is proof certain – the Regressive,Tea Party totalitarian state”.
No, Amazed, The Regressives are you and your fellows who advocate that we apathetically revert to the state of tyranny that has defined countries throughout History.
Most of us simply want you Progressive Thieves to keep your hands out of our wallets. Note that the fellows who want to grow Government bigger, more intrusive, in matters such as Drug Wars, Vice Crimes, and other victimless crimes, are just a different subset of Progressives. Some of you Progressives want a welfare state, and other Progressives want a Military State, but you all like Big Intrusive Government.

      • DaveH

        Thank you, Tom W.
It just seems to roll off my tongue. Flashdance is one of my all time favorite movies, and Flashdunce is one of my all time least favorite Progressives.

      • Tom W.

Hey DaveH, I have no idea why flushdunce reminded ya of anything to do with Irene Cara, I dunno DaveH it’s kinda kinky man! I’ll betcha Flushdunce goes down to Key West to participate in the Conch Nation Drag Races, whatdaya think DaveH?!!

      • Tom W.

Opps! Oh yeah DaveH, this is for you! Enjoy!!! I still don’t get it though!

      • http://PersonalLiberty Alondra

“God grants liberty only to those who love it, and are always ready to guard and defend it.” – Daniel Webster

“To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of people always possess arms…” – Richard Henry Lee, 1788, Member of the First U.S. Senate.

    • Acushla

The Constitution has been trashed. So this is now the present and it will be worse in the future.

      • Michael Beglin

If every citizen took the time to get interested in politics, we could have our Constitution back in no time. I blame the American peoples’ lack of involvement for the mess we are in. Too many people think that their vote doesn’t matter, so they don’t bother. Sad but true.

      • Tom W.

And how about teaching civics in our schools again, huh?!!

      • Michael Beglin

I’m all for government, history, and civics classes being taught, but the government does not encourage them. Why should they teach students about rights that are being slowly stripped away from them?

      • Tom W.

Point well made Michael, but isn’t that a shame?! How’d we get here?!! How long we been goin’ down this path not noticing that the people teaching our children are not just teachin’ ‘em the three R’s but are socially conditioning them for the New multi-cultural, alternative life-style World Order! People BETTER WAKE UP!!! They know that their window of opportunity is closing fast! Be on your toes everyone, expect them to try something so they can hurry everything up! They know that this opportunity may NEVER present itself EVER again! They’re not goin’ down without a fight!!!

      • Shivertothink

But the most obtrusive fact is… One day, these will be considered “the good old days”.. (heavy shivering!).

    • DaveH

Here we go again. Another day of Flashman equivocation.
Flashman says — “The right, by cheering on the passage of the unPatriotic Act, by remaining in steadfast support as BushII/Cheney “fought” terrorism, allowed the police state to become a normal facet of our everyday lives”.
      The truth:
Only 1 Democrat Senator voted against the Patriot Act — Russ Feingold (good for him).
Only 62 out of 207 Democrat Representatives voted against the Patriot Act.
Quit trying to make it a Party issue, Flashman, when you know it’s a Government issue.

      • Tom W.

Flushdunce is sch a dweeb!!! Good night everyone, holla at cha tomorrow!

    • DaveH

Flashman says — “Fact is, had there been one iota of pushback by the Conservative ‘patriotic” TPers, those laws would not have been passed”.
No, Flashman, facts are not something we can expect from your mouth. If you had any credibility, you would include the many Progressives who also remained silent (probably even yourself, but I wouldn’t bother expecting the truth from you). Progressives jump at any chance they get to create more Government. In fact, there are Progressives in both parties. Anybody who strives to build Bigger Government is a Progressive, regardless of whether they build it with a welfare state or a military state.

      • Flashy

DaveH…did you march in protest against the War Bush / Cheney lied us into? i.e. Iraqi War? Did you protest against the unpatriotic Act when it was pushed through? Did you protest Gitmo and torture being included in “approved” interrogation methods? Where were you when Bush II referred to the US Constitution as “quaint” ? Did you support John Yoo’s memo’s ? Were you protesting when the feds during Bush II began jailing Americans without charges and without right to counsel?

probably you did nothing but denigrate and castigate those who stood tall and brave against the implementation of these policies. The very same people who stand against the laws like Arizona which compel every American to carry ID papers on them or face being jailed … you know, those people you denigrate and castigate for being against “immigration reform” …

      • JeffH

One thing that can be counted on by liberals and progressives like flashy…Questions? Did you…?
flashy, you know that’s straight out of the Alinsky play book!

        - curiosity (raising “questions that agitate, that break through the accepted pattern”),

        - irreverence (“nothing is sacred”; the organizer “detests dogma, defies any finite definition of morality”),

        - imagination (“the fuel for the force that keeps an organizer organizing”)

“‘The organizer’s first job is to create the issues or problems,’ and ‘organizations must be based on many issues.’ The organizer ‘must first rub raw the resentments of the people of the community; fan the latent hostilities of many of the people to the point of overt expression. He must search out controversy and issues, rather than avoid them, for unless there is controversy people are not concerned enough to act. . . . An organizer must stir up dissatisfaction and discontent.’”

No wonder you have no credibility!

      • DaveH

I have protested the Patriot Act since its inception, Flashman.
I’d ask you the same question, but then your answer would be meaningless to me because you have no credibility.

      • Flashy

jeffH..I take it you were amongst those who laid back and had your jollies denigrating and castigating those who stood against those policies and laws. Blameless eh? Go back and read my first post. It fits you like a tight glove.

      • Flashy

DaveH..if you said the sun would rise in the east in the morning, anyone in any rational sane mind would wait and check before relying on your opinion. But then, you wouldn’t make such a claim unless Mises had some catchy title you could paste.

      • JeffH

flashy again confirms his Alinsky training…with more questions!

      • JUKEBOX

I sincerely wish that Flashy or one of the other pseudo-intellectuals would give me a succint answer to one question. How in the world can two allegedly “POOR” men with no father figure, ie: Clinton & Obama, become one of the ELITE ruling class or 1% in our country without the backing of some foreign communist ELITE persons? Neither served in the military, and actually loathe the armed forces, and have tried to weaken it.

      • Libertytrain

flash has no room to talk about others.

      • Jay

Flashy, you’re becoming a real nuisance. Is that the idea?

      • Buster the Anatolian

Jukebos, I cannot speak for obama but Clinton had a lots of help from a powerful senator (Fulbright I think).

        Jay, yes.

      • DaveH

I can and have proved many times that you have no credibility.
Can you prove that about me?
Your slander is just further proof of your lack of credibility.

      • DaveH

For those who are new to PL, and don’t yet know just how twisted Flashman is, just follow this thread:
        Jovianus (aka HFlashman) gets busted:

      • Tom W.

And just what has your hero done to put an end to all those civil rights violations Flushdunce?!! Has he closed Gitmo?!! Now don’t get me wrong. some of these drone strikes have netted some pretty big fish! But should they be targeted in a family situation?! No as a matter of fact this administration has just passed a measure making it legal for the president to put a hit out on a fellow american without any due process!!! Boy. I’ll bet Rush has a hard time findin’ a partner for tee time anymore!
Flushdunce an organizer JeffH? Ha!!! Of what?! He’s just an old worn out liberal ho DaveH, no scrupples whatsoever!!! Oh! Watch him guys! He’s pretty dangerous with that purse!!! I’m sorry Flush, OK it’s a manbag;) OK it’s unanimous! Flushdunce is a blinded, far-left, Quran believing, Debbie Wasserman Shultz fantasizing, Barney Frank swingin’, pro-infantcide, bra burning, Anthoney Weiner center-fold poster havin’, pro-gay marriage, Kool-Aid drinkin’, non-inhalin’, come out, come out, wherever you are, draft dodgin’, commie, pinko pole smoker!!!
        Did I leave out anything?!!

    • Tom W.

Very well spoken Vicki! We ARE, and ALWAYS will be a FREE nation as long as WE’RE willing to stand up and FIGHT for the right of those whom WE OPPOSE to state their opinions and views! ANYTHING ELSE is either totailtaianrism or facsism!!! And IS the MAIN reason, this GOD GIVEN gift of FREEDOM and the WILLINGNESS to defend it at ALL COSTS, that WE became the greatest, most powerful (Both militarily and economically!) nation that this world has EVER seen!!! We,ve drifted so far from the “Shining Example upon a hill”! We’ve become Material Babylon!!! (Filled with greed, lust, the LOVE of money, and covetuousness!) And I’m not so sure that it is us spoken of in Rev. chap.18! Keep yo eyes on da skies!!!

  • angelwannabe

Good Article Bob!__You’ve got everything covered under one roof!

__America’s failing lies in our laps and in the actions of those who’ve allowed themselves to become corrupt. We put our trust in those we elected (I use that term very loosly) and we went about our lives and didn’t keep watch. I’m just a s guitly as the next guy._Little by little we’ve been infiltrated and our freedoms chipped away. We didn’t ask questions and we’ve gotten sloppy at keeping educated as adults.

You spoke of The Education system of today, Bob, heck our kids are taught what to think, not how to think! Then there is the moral issues of the most students, although not all. Alot of what is graduating high school/college today, can’t find their way out of a paper bag, I’m sad to say. The kids major & minors anymore is, sex, booze and weed, and If the students have time, in between the partyin’ they’ll study.

Between the Moral and complacency issues among the people, and the corrupt nature of politics/politicians, Government and business practice in general anymore, its no wonder we’re going under.

The only thing that hasn’t changed is “God”!

Ben Franklin said “its a republic if we can keep it”. But We can only keep if the people keep control of themselves and they’re affairs, and our leaders bind their egos and they’re inccessant need to control every inch of our lives!!!!

There is a lot wrong here, but it lies in indidvidual hearts & hands. Each of us taking care of our own lives and family first, then joining into a collective, to form a whole.

    • romeyers

The only thing that hasn’t changed is “God”!

Haven’t you heard, God is an illegal alien and is to be arrested on sight and sent back to Rome, Italy!

      • Flashy

God is a socialist commie liberal … or didn’t you get the updated memo?

        • RichE

Really, god is a communist. That seems a bit twisted.

      • Flashy

So are the majority of posters on this board.

BTW…being a Communist doesn’t necessarily mean a non belief in a god. Remember, organized religion is the great invention used from time Man started living in city/states to control the masses. Cuba would be an example where the Catholic faith is widely accepted.

      • Jay

Flashy: Remember, organized religion is the great invention used from time Man started living in city/states to control the masses. Cuba would be an example where the Catholic faith is widely accepted.

Religion/law was not invented, Flashy, it was a gift. And, it was in practice long before man started living in city/states. I’ll agree with one thing; some, do use religion to control people, ie; the Vatican, among other cults. But that is an issue of character, not religion.

    • Dennis48e

“Cuba would be an example where the Catholic faith is widely accepted.’

That is because Castro failed in his attempt to stamp it out.

  • cawmun cents

Not quite: America is a plutocracy and an oligarchy.

  • Sirian

Everyone has accepted the ever watching “Big Brother” notion as nothing more than a story. Anymore, is it really? If you continue to think so then they have done a very, very good job. Remeber. . . 1+1=3

  • Insurgent

The price America is paying for racial equality.

    • Sirian

Oh how clever Insurgent, slip it in there so your bigoted mindset can be satisfied. Doesn’t matter if it has anything to do with the main theme of the article, you just can’t pass up an opportunity, can you? No wonder so many people are a true fools fool.

      • kodster

In a way, Insurgent is correct… the “terrorist” they look for now is the white, Protestant, male who believes in 1st and 2nd amendment rights… as well as the rest of the things that Bob has listed in… that is now the “racial inequality” of today. The “terrorist” that the government hates so much is NOW the minority. It has flip-flopped from blacks to whites.

      • Sirian

You are basing your agreement with Insurgent on sheer assumption. Remember that old adage – NEVER ASSUME ANYTHING!! When you do it can lead you down a very dark path.

    • JeffH

      Really? Racist!

  • TIME

    Dear Bob,

Thank you again for the straight forward blog that highlites the TRUTHS that so many Americans on the People Farm just don’t wish to hear nor deal with.

How sad is it that Americans are so quick to jump when told to, they don’t even think anylonger its just to easy to react to what they are told is a Danger. That is rather than look at the real evidence.
No its just to easy to take the 2 second sound bite LIES given out by the 100% totaly controlled Mass media that was 100% scripted by Spin Doctor arm of the Political Con Artist thugs who feel they are in fact GODS themselfs.

I have traveled the world, the one thing I take from all my travels is that people everywhere are connected by our Humanity no matter what color, race, or religion.
Thus If we treat others as we would like to be treated, with Respect, Love, and Kindness, how beautiful the world would be.
Again if we treat each other ” Like we would like to be treated” I strongly feel that the worlds population could live with each other in “PEACE.”
Is that not what the Christ wanted for all Human Kind?

    Peace and Love.

    • Brian Corcoran

Peace and Love are not going to solve Americans problems. They are the ends, not the means. I personally prefer the M-16 and AK-47.

      • romeyers

Praise the Lord but pass the ammo!

      • Karolyn

Spoken like a true usurper of peace. Hatred, war, anger, all negative emotions and actions do not support or result in peace. The reason the world is in such a mess is ONLY because of all the negativity prevalent.

      • DaveH

For those who are as misguided as Brian, and think that violence would solve our problems:

Revolutions rarely result in good. With the American people as dumbed-down as they’ve become, we likely would be trading one group of despots for another.

      • Vicki

        As explained in this video

The most common form of government thru out history is the oligarchy. Also most revolutions because of their nature collapse into an oligarchy. Even our own almost did but the founders fought with each other with many words (See federalist papers) till they settled on a Constitutionally LIMITED Republic.

    • TIME

You have been stripped of your rights by way of the “PEN” not the sword.
Thus to regain them we must use the PEN as well, not the Sword.

I strongly feel that knowledge is the most useful and Powerful tool we have as it gives everyone Power.

When we stop supplying these Thugs we call Politicians with willing aid by way of TAX’S and compliance to their acts of terror against us, then we can take back this nation with out spilling a drop of blood.

I do how ever understand your frustration, as it seems that we have a very corupt form of Government, yet again we don’t have a Government, we have a DE Facto Corporation.

When the People Farm wakes up and grasp that – only then can we make any headway in taking back our nation / country. Take up the PEN and hold off on the Sword, I beg you to please think about the actions of the Sword over the Pen and what ramifications would be brought to bear on the population with such actions.

      Peace and Love.

    • kodster

People Farm? Makes me think of the movie, “Animal Farm”, that my US History teacher in high school showed to his classes. Thank you, Mr. Howard Frey, for opening our eyes to the communist way of thinking, and educating us to the truth of what we must fear most. Mr. Frey was an excellent teacher, and a rebel in today’s world of brain-washing educators. He wanted his students to know the truth, and to think for themselves! Of course, that was back in ’73 & ’74! Not in TODAY’s schools!

      Robert E. Lee,
“just nudge them” has been in play for 150 years. Obama has quickened the pace to more apptly resemble a bulldozer plowing a field of daisies. The daisies standing by silently, obliviously awaiting their turn.

We absolutely have degenerated from a republic toward a de-mob-ocracy. In fact, the reason our country is turning upside down is that we are gradually accepting the lie that we have a “wonderful” democracy instead of the republic mandated by our founders in Article 4, Section 4 of our not-a-living-document Constitution. It will take the following video ten minutes to connect those dots.

    • Dan F

I posted the video you refer to several months back and it is the top page viewed on my blog.

    • Vicki

That looks suspiciously like the one I post here. Often.

  • mark

Bob, if you had lived five minutes in a real totalitarian society: Stalin’s Russia, Hitler’s Germany, Mao’s China, Kim Il-Sung’s North Korea, or Castro’s Cuba, you would know what a ludicrous argument you are making here. But of course, you never have. Personal Liberty Digest would never be allowed to exist in such societies and you would be picked up, tortured, put in prison, and probably executed for voicing your views in this manner. Not to mention that there would be no political parties, non-government-run newpapers, news programs, art, commerce, individual achievement, religion, or a Ron Paul campaign in such real totalitarian societies.

Despite an increased government role in their lives (which many, by the way, agree with and deliberately voted into office by large majorities politicians who implemented Social Security, Medicare, etc), Americans continue to enjoy an enormous amount of freedom and will continue to do so for many centuries to come.

    • czman

And you have…? Our freedom is severely limited now and constantly shrinking. It is not centuries, but months or days until it is gone. Get your head out of the sand…

    • Michael J.

      little mark,
“Personal Liberty Digest would never be allowed to exist”

Sure sounds like a threat to me mark.

      • mark

It sounds like a threat to you because you did not read what I wrote. In a truly totalitarian society a blog like Personal Liberty Digest (and also by the way a left-leaning publication like the New York Times) would never be allowed to exist? Do you think there was a free press and daily published dissent against the government in Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, Kim Il Sung’s Korea or Castro’s Cuba? The heroic individuals who protested and published against such governents were as I noted arrested, tortured, imprisoned, and in many cases murdered. This is the historical record. In a true totalitarian society no public dissent is permitted. This is the proof that we DO NOT live in a truly totalitarian society here in the United States.

      • Michael J.

Still sounds like a threat to me mark. A veiled warning which stinks of censorship. You would rather hear silence than face irrefutable truth.

      • Dick

Michael J, read what the guy said – again – or go and see a doctor, there’s something wrong with your cognitive process…you’re not having a stroke, are you?

      • Michael J.

Dick, quit acting like one. I saw my doctor last week, I told him he was fine and that I would see him again in three months.

    • Dens

I thought your alias was Barry not Mark …. Is that you Barack?

    • Bruce Belligan

Enormous amount of freedom!? Fool, you are a slave and don’t even know it! This is the real legacy of liberalism/Democracy. Marxism is merely an extension of the previously mentioned usurpers.

    • Sirian

HA, you dummy, go back and read the third paragraph. On second thought, let me give you a hand. . . “Totalitarianism American-style has grown slowly and imperceptibly over many years. This is gradualism.” Gradualism – that is why we have what we have here and due to this it has no immediate similarities to those that were forcefully implemented that you have listed. The final goal, un-recognized or accepted by you, remains the same. Progressive Gradualism – very effective. Gradualism is the Progressives method which leads to a basic communistic state of totalitarianism. Pretty easy to understand.

TIME, I have 2 Jewish friends (both in their 80s) who also survived the Holocaust. They both Thank God that they now live in the United States, a free country that they love. I can assure you that they are elated that they no longer live in totalitarian Nazi Germany. But according to you and Bob Livingston, both these Jewish-Americans are fools, idiots, dupes. They actually live today in a society very much like Nazi Germany with only very slight differences between the two countries. I and my two Jewish friends strongly disagree. We are not fools, dupes,or idiots. We live in an America that is profoundly and massively different from Nazi Germany, far freer and more democratic society in innumerable ways (multi-party elections, free press, freedom of religion, freedom of assembly, trial by jury, habeus corpus, freedom of association, freedom to own firearms, free enterprise economy, freedom to own property, etc. etc. etc,). None of which existed in Nazi Germany.

      • DaveH

No thanks to naive propagandists such as yourself, Mark.
I suppose you lecture rape victims that they should thank goodness they weren’t killed instead?

    • romeyers

I have to agree with you we don’t at this point live in a totalitarian society, however, those societys you mentioned didn’t just spring full blown into existence. The came about over many years through the actions or inactions of many different people who if you could ask them would tell you that they had the welfare of the people as theyre primary objective. It happens slowly until one day you turn around look about you and say”How did that happen?”

    • JeffH

mark, you obviously didn’t read or didn’t comprehend the article. You must be a progressive!

      • Buster the Anatolian

Either that or he is a shill for the administration. I do agree with him that we are not a totalitarian society I would add YET. I have just finished reading “The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich” and the parallels between us and Hitlers rise to power in Germany are scary. Unless something drastic happens we are only a hair’s width away from becoming a true totalitarian country.

      • DaveH

Ask the victims of these paramilitary style raids, Buster, if they think we still live in a Free Society:

      • Buster the Anatolian

DaveH. I did not say we were free I said we were not YET a true totalitarian society.

    • kodster

Keep drinking the kool-aid, Mark. We are on the cusp of becoming such a totalitarian country… the parallels between our American society and pre-Hitler Nazi Germany is uncanningly frightening. It is only a matter of months now, rather than years or decades… that’s the reason why the push is so hard now… they know it’s only a matter of the final steps to be made… 150 years in the making, since the president that everyone loved so much, Abraham Lincoln, started us down the progressive track. The oligarchy of communism is in place, MSM is being bullied into compliance, so that the American people don’t see what is happening… only those of us with eyes wide open and knowledgeable about what true communism and totalitarism is can see it.

  • Alex Frazier

Good article Bob. Couldn’t have said it better myself.

  • Elton Coleman

I’m afraid it is too late for those of us that are my age, but if we can some how convince our children and grandchildren of the dangers that are present and ahead them, then just maybe they will have a chance to change the direction this country is headed….

    • Michael J.

      Elton Coleman,
Maybe not if you’ve enrolled them in government indoctrination centers/schools. Send little innocent Johnnie and Suzie off to college and when they come home you might have a big government informant living in your midst.

    • kodster

Elton, I wish it was so easy… I have 2 daughters that went through public schools here in the USA. It is next to impossible to explain to them what is going on in the world and our freedoms being eroded here in the USA… they think their mother is crazy. They are now in their early ’30s and late ’20s. They’ve drunk the kool-aid so much, that I’ve lost them, and worry about their well-being in the world I know is coming. But I can’t say anything to them without alienating them and having them cut me off from their lives.

  • Joyce from Loris

Unfortunately, I am afraid it is too late, and that there are not enough of “us” left. A recent poll showed that 76% of all Americans receive a check from the government now. Be it welfare, food stamps, HUD housing, Social Security, SS disability insurance, or a PAY CHECK (those who work in these agencies surely do not want to lose their jobs). It’s amazing to wake up in this day and time, at this age, and look back and try to figure out WHEN did it start and why I didn’t see it coming. Shameful that my kids and grand kids will never know the life that I lived.

    • Michael J.

No need to be ashamed, It started before you were born. Since 1861 The United States has been a giant mushroom farm, in that they’ve kept us in the dark and fed us scat.

    • JKinIL

Joyce: SOMEWHERE on the internet there must be a site that you can cite as a source of the 76% statistic….please enlighten us!

      • Buster the Anatolian

“Some 48.6% of the population lived in a household receiving some type of government benefit in the second quarter of 2010, up a notch from 48.5% in the first quarter, according to Census data.”

“Seventeen percent of U.S. workers say they work for federal, state, or local government, ranging from 38% in Washington, D.C., to 12% in Ohio. More than a quarter of workers in Washington, D.C., Alaska, Virginia, and Maryland work for government, as do upwards of 15% in the vast majority of states.”

The second quote is from a Gallup pole the source of the first quote dissapeared in the copy and paste.

The totals nationwide according to these numbers is 65.6% of Americans receiving some kind of government check/benefits. In some areas of the country it is as high as 86,6%.

Bible prophesy 4000 yrs old right on time right on your 6 oclock news. Moments from the Tribulation hrs and 7 yrs from its beginning Jesus Christ will be back to fry the elites in a place of your worst nightmare. America changed its God from Christ to Government, the same type of govt in Russia, China, Cambodia, Germany, Burma, ya know the benevolent leftists, that slaughter millions and millions and millions. Where are YOU spending eternity? Living one life with those scum is more than enough. I am looking forward to a place with NO LIBS. Those idiots don’t believe in God they still think of evolution, like nothing times nothing means everything. How appropriate, yesterday was there national Holiday.

    • valleyboy12

d4jc – How ever so true are you about what is going to happen next on the prophetic timeline. Don’t want to be around during the earth’s ugliest and most violent 7 year period before Christ returns to earth to set up his millennium reign. And when that glorious day arrives they will receive their just rewards aptly!!!!!

      • Alex Frazier

I hate to be the fly in your ointment, but Jesus told the apostles that he would return before their generation passed. I’m afraid you’re going to be watching and waiting for a Messiah who has already come to fulfill his kingdom, which he said was not of this earth.

And if he is still yet to come, you’ll need a temple before it can happen. So don’t hold your breath on his return being tommorrow.

    • nc

d4jc, have you truly heard the voice of God tell you that a person who belives in evolution cannot be as good a person as you,the “Christian”? Judge not that ye be judged! Where did I hear that as a child?

    • eddie47d

You fell into that trap that Bob was talking about blaming the left (in your case) or the right when each side is doing the same thing. Germany was extreme right wing and Burma has been run by an extreme right wing military junta for several decades. Myanmar (Burma) is slowly moving away from that dictatorship and the charge is being led by a very strong Progressive Liberal (Kyi). I see hope in that nation but I also believe the generals won’t allow it to last. Cambodia’s leftist regime was more than a nightmare and that country hasn’t fully recovered either. If the extreme left or the extreme right gets into power the populace will equally suffer.

    • Karolyn

It is simply not true that libs don’t believe in God. Many believe in your concept and many also believe in a different concept of God. None of us can prove any of it, so we just wait and see what comes to pass. You find comfort in the Bible, and I find comfort in my beliefs, as it should be.

The Founders never meant America to be a Democracy. It was meant to be and is a Republic. As Ben Franklin observed when asked what the Constitutional Convention had gotten us, he said, sagely: “A Republic, if we can keep it”.

    • Cherokee Lady

      Completely in agreement!

  • Colonel

The U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights were drafted by men who understood history and how the political and social order is the creation of evil men who wish to rule humanity. We have had the best there is to give us a white washing and keep our attention away from the main issues concerning our freedoms. Stand up now and face those who oppose the working American! Sit on your ass and they will take everything you have and leave your children with nothing.

    • mark

Colonel, while I certainly, along with you, admire both documents, the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights were mostly written by slaveholders. Since you are condemning white washing, why don’t we quit white washing history? And stop fantasizing about this wonderland America that flourished in Eden until those evil monsters Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Delano Roosevelt came along, and “ruined” everything. (This is the standard libertarian narrative).

      • romeyers

I wish that people would stop applying 2012 morality to people that lived in the 1700s. Yes some of the people that wrote the constitution owned slaves, so did everyone else that could afford it. But even then it was thought that it was a bad thing with many abolitionists within the governing body. Many states voted to abolish slavery well before the civil war, which is how that war came about.

      • JeffH

mark, mark, mark…get off your “slave” high horse. Of course some of the founders were slave holders. DUH!

One of the most frequent tactics employed to discredit America’s Founding Fathers is to say that the Founding Fathers were all pro-slavery racists and hypocrites. Therefore, why should we care what their views were on any subject? African-American professor Walter Williams wisely explained the use of this tactic in these words:

“Politicians, news media, college professors and leftists of other stripes are selling us lies and propaganda. To lay the groundwork for their increasingly successful attack on our Constitution, they must demean and criticize its authors. As Senator Joe Biden demonstrated during the Clarence Thomas hearings, the framers’ ideas about natural law must be trivialized or they must be seen as racists.”

These people paint a false picture of the Founding Fathers and the issue of slavery. The historical fact is that slavery was not the product of, nor was it an evil introduced by the Founders; slavery was introduced in America nearly two centuries before the Founders. In fact, Supreme Court Chief Justice John Jay noted that there had been few serious efforts to dismantle the institution of slavery prior to the Founding Fathers.

The Revolution was a turning point in the national attitude against slavery—and it was the Founders who contributed greatly to that change. In fact, one of the reasons given by Thomas Jefferson for the separation from Great Britain was a desire to rid America of the evil of slavery imposed on them by the British.

I suggest you educate yourself a bit more on the issue of slavery with the Founders.

      • DaveH

Mark says — “Colonel, while I certainly, along with you, admire both documents, the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights were mostly written by slaveholders. You’re such an ignoramus, Mark. Libertarians don’t whitewash anything. In fact, if you’d take off your Liberal blinders and do some reading at the mises site, you’d find that they are among the very few who actually write history in an unbiased way:
Especially, you should read some Rothbard books.
You constantly bring up the past slaveholders, Mark, as if that denigrates any good which they had brought forth, and yet you support the current enslavement of our citizens by the Progressives. I call you out as a hypocrite.

  • Matt

@mark – If you had done anything other than read a book then you would know that what Bob is saying is completely correct. If you honestly think you live in a free country you then try going an actually living someplace else then you will know what real freedom is like. Having lived in a foreign country for many years, I can tell you that what we have here in America is the illusion of freedom, not actual freedom itself.

Also, the increased government in our lives is not because they are doing what is best for use. It is because are doing what is best for them. If you think that people would vote for more government in their lives if they knew the truth, you are out of your mind.

If you want to see a real totalitarian society take a look at this videos.

This is how it started in Germany by a short guy with a crappy mustache. hhhmmm…….I wonder who that was?

    • mark

Matt, I’ve lived in and visited several countries around the world, including Cuba, and therefore know that we here in the United States are among the most free people on earth. People in Europe, Canada, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand where I have been exercise considerable freedoms but these countries also have a much larger gov’t role in their economies and societies than we have here in the U.S. Most have single payer government health care for instance. I have also lived in Latin America and 2 countries in Africa, and in 2 Middle Eastern countries where people have considerably less freedom, where journalists are routinely arrested for writing critical articles against the government something that does not occur in the United States and the above-mentioned Western nations. By what clairvoyance do you know that I have never done anything but opened a book? It must be wonderful to have this ability to know everything about an individual just by reading a one paragraph blog.

      • Karolyn

They can be presumptuous, can’t they, mark?

      • Libertytrain

karolyn who is “they” – you are no different – make assumptions – critique others beliefs – you are they – mark is they…..

      • Sirian

HA, very good point Libertytrain, very good point!!!

      • Karolyn

No, Liberty, you will not catch me attributing education, knowledge or lack thereof to anyone I don’t know anything about. I do not espouse the view that “If somebody doesn’t agree with me they must be stupid or must move to another country, must be unpatriotic, must be a communist,” etc. as so many people who post here seem to believe.

      • JeffH

Libertytrain, I just call them hypocrits. If that isn’t true, then why the need to constantly explain oneself.(or make excuses)

      • DaveH

Mark says — “People in Europe, Canada, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand where I have been exercise considerable freedoms but these countries also have a much larger gov’t role in their economies and societies than we have here in the U.S.”.
Okay Folks. Here we have an example of typical Liberal fabricated facts. The truth is that
Canada, Australia, and New Zealand all have LESS Government involvement in their economies than in the US:

Of course, we could ignore the experts at Heritage and instead take the word of a Liberal.

      • DaveH

And before Mark has a chance to do the typical Liberal thing of bashing Heritage Foundation, here is another source for similar information:

      • DaveH

Karolyn is so comical. She says — “No, Liberty, you will not catch me attributing education, knowledge or lack thereof to anyone I don’t know anything about”. That coming shortly after she says — “They can be presumptuous, can’t they, mark?”.
Look in your mirror, Karolyn, and repeat after me — “I am the fairest one of them all”. Maybe if you do that often enough, you will start to believe it.

      • Libertytrain

Karolyn you have indeed grouped together people in one lump many times….remember how postings you had on just your South Carolina alone that were nothing but insults. Problem is you have your own definitions for yourself and then other definitions for others you don’t agree with. You are they as well…

      • Libertytrain

jeff – yep always have an excuse, always someone else, never take responsibility for their own words or writings —- :) can’t fix it though can they jeff?

      • eddie47d

Dave H keeps bashing Liberals yet Canada,New Zealand and Australia all have national health care. Even though he claims they have less government interference. Nice try Dave and they all have higher ranking care than the US. Your math doesn’t always resonate !.

      • eddie47d

Well if it isn’t “honest” Jeff who loves to accuse others of lying but never tells a whopper or two himself. (chuckle!) That 1.4 billion is correct. The pension was 1.1 billion and with a 3 million golden parachute thrown in. Another CEO with United Healthcare Wm McQuire received a $286 million payout. In 2011 poor little ol CEO Cordani got a measly $15 million for one year. The profit for UH last year was $4.6 billion. WOW! More bonuses for the elites while the patients get stuck with the bills. By the way I belonged to U H for several years and they were formed in 1977.

      • DaveH

Here’s another tidbit of info from today’s, for those inclined to believe Mark:

  • Thinking About

Again we have Cognitive Dissonance, say and read something so long until you believe this is what is happening. I seriously doubt and of the founding fathers used any history to know the world we currently live in today. I doubt they realized planes flying into buildings or the rate in which we have the ability to travel. They set up basics from which to grow, like the foundation of a house which continues to be built to this very day. We WILL not go back to the life in which our founding fathers existed, there is not a time warp available.

For all who thinks they will bully everyone else to believe like they do, it won’t happen. No different in getting every one of the readers to believe their way. This is where some of our freedoms comes into play, the ability to think on our own, and the freedom to express our opinion and we should have some compacity to understand and accept others has the same rights we want to be afforded. To continue in bashing others who do not share your views will not convince free thinkers to go your way, it is time to get real, real in your thoughts and actions.

    • Bruce Belligan

Maybe you should study the founding fathers before you invoke your sheeplike idiocy. This situation is EXACTLY what the founders created our government to protect us from. They gave us the tools, we were to provide the will. We, the people, have failed our founders. Posterity will show future generations what present day America is composed of – gutless cowards. Cowards who willingly abuse future generations and the ones they haven’t slaughtered in the name of “choice”. Enjoy your legacy “America”.

      • Thinking About

Since you are an expert on our founding fathers, tell me which one of them envisioned someone flying a plane into buildings? Only a idiot would remain in thoughts of the world has changed today from the time our Constitution was set up.

      • mark

The Founding Fathers gave us many wonderful things. On this I agree with you. But they also bequeathed to us for nearly a century, a slave society. We should avoid the temptation to canonize the Founding Fathers and to fantasize about the society they lived in. One of the great Founding Fathers, John Adams when he was president shut down newspapers and put people in prison for writing critiques of the government. Most of the Founding Fathers participated in and supported slavery, backed land robbery from Amerindians through violence and terror, and held deep prejudices against Catholics. Many of them only felt that property-holders should have the right to vote. And none imagined that women should ever be granted such a privilege. The Founding Fathers had considerable faults and avarice like all human beings, as well as a beneficent vision for Mankind.

      • Michael J.

        Thinking About,
Your analogy is empty rhetoric because it is not that different from hurling cannonballs through sailing vessels. And the concept of determining right from wrong, thou shall not kill and thou shall not steal are ageless and are the basis on which our constitution was drawn.

      • Brian Corcoran

Don’t forget that The Founding Fathers inherited the slavery system from our British monarchial friends whom they eventually and forcefully ejected from the continent. It was an institution that had been deeply entrenched in the social order of colonial times for over 200 years. It took the new Republic another 75 years to dismantle it. .

      • Flashy

Don’t forget, Britain banned slavery anywhere in the Empire in the 1830′s. And banned the slave trade in the early 19th century.

      • JeffH

flashy, what you say has no bearing on the discussion…educate yourself…The historical fact is that slavery was not the product of, nor was it an evil introduced by the Founders; slavery was introduced in America nearly two centuries before the Founders. In fact, Supreme Court Chief Justice John Jay noted that there had been few serious efforts to dismantle the institution of slavery prior to the Founding Fathers.

      • Michael J.

I know rearranging facts to support your arguement is your stock in trade.
The British banned the “slave trade”in the eighteenth century when it was strategically significant in the battle to quell The American Revolution. Proof there was no moral inducement is the fact that owning slaves in Britain was still legal.

      • eddie47d

Yes Michael our Founding Fathers had a grand vison but did they always practice what they preached? They stole much land and killed to achieve Their dream. They may be a road map in which to follow but let’s not be blind to their faults.

      • Flashy

Michael..I just looked it up. So in 1803, GB banned the slave trade because it was “strategically significant in the battle to quell The American Revolution” ? Errrr…kinda late in the game and not much strategic value i’d say …

      • Opal the Gem

      • Thinking About

Davie, I do not care what you think either, and so. I bet you can not find on mises where our founding fathers envisioned planes hitting buildings or even envisioning planes. The main point is they started writing a Constitution and even added to the origional and wrote more to explain the Constitution. I don’t like the mandate of paying for the uninsured in the rates of insurance and health care.Don’t get on your high horse.

The answer is very simple, Earth, they are going to kill us all. It will start tomorrow at noon. Or if not tomorrow, the next day or the next day or next year. But sooner or later the Federal Government is going to kill us all. Take you family and all the dehydrated and canned goods you can and get to a cave in the mountains. And carry all the guns and ammo that you can also. Maybe 450 million bullets. Then you’ll be safe. You’ll be a real free American. And you won’t have to live in this totalitarian America anymore.

This site rightfully tells everyone to be prepared in times of crises. Yet never wants the government to be prepared for anything. Until after the fact and then some of you would be the first to complain that the government Isn’t prepared for whatever disaster strikes us. Earth has a disconnect in his video where it says “see something say something” . Now if that is wrong then your motto must be “see something do nothing”. Somewhere there has to be a Balance in how we deal with events and disasters not these extreme and paranoid conspiracies. People demanded better security at the airports and now the people are wringing their hands because of government overreach. Keep exposing the misdeeds of TSA but I doubt if they are going away.

      • Michael J.

        eddie47d said:

Is this another supposition formulated in the empty space between eddie’s ears, or do you have a source?

eddie says, “This site rightfully tells everyone to be prepared in times of crises. Yet never wants the government to be prepared for anything. Until after the fact and then some of you would be the first to complain that the government Isn’t prepared for whatever disaster strikes us.”

eddie, you’re on “probation” for wrongfully critisizing PLD and now you stick your foot back in the dung and have the nerve to say that PLD “never wants the government to be prepared for anything”?

If you ever had a clue I’d be surprised…you’re completely disconnected from reality and to continue with your unsubstantiated accusations and critisizm of PLD should warrant the permanent boot you so deserve.

      • eddie47d

Like every other communistic, socialistic, marxist country in the world. They will call us the “Democratic Peoples United States”

  • Chester

Well, I heard a couple of people on here get it almost right. America is neither a democracy or a republic. It is a mishmash of those two things, most appropriately termed a democratic republic. As far as what life would be like under a truly totalitarian regime, first and foremost, the internet would never have been allowed to exist, at least in its present form. Maybe, as originally intended, a means for the military to communicate over phone lines, and certain ore-screened students to communicate between schools, but all very heavily regulated and controlled Why do you thing both China and Saudi Arabia have such strict controls on who can show what on the nationally approved and controlled internet?

    • romeyers

America was supposed to be a Representative Republic, the founding fathers hated the idea of a democracy.

    • kodster

They are trying to get the Internet regulated, much like other communist/totalitarian countries. They just haven’t been successful in getting it pushed through, because the people and corporations stand up…. do you remember the SOPA protests recently? The boycotts? That was instrumental in getting it put on hold, but they are still trying to find a way. It won’t be long, we won’t have this resource to communicate with each other.

    • DaveH

And why do you suppose, Chester, that Government keeps trying to impose meddlesome laws on the Internet, always using some lame excuse such as protecting the children from Porn, or protecting Movie and Music producers from online piracy?
      Bills like these:

The reality of loss of Freedom is that it is much more difficult to roll back tyrannical abuses than it is to be vigilant and stop them before they are implemented.

  • Stephan F.

“Totalitarianism American-style has grown slowly and imperceptibly over many years. This is gradualism.”

Gradualism is the socialists’ favorite tried-and-true tool, and it’s the method they unfailingly trot out to get their way when their direct methods fail. And because its effects are so gradual, so seemingly imperceptible, and so insidious, it’s the first thing these lowlifes employ when all other methods fail. It’s guaranteed effective and has been proven over time again and again. No wonder it’s their #1 go-to weapon. Now for the bad news. Just like the ever-constant bombardment of radiation from the sun, we are continually being manipulated by this ever present force that tries to numb our minds to sway us off course — and it’s why you must always be aware of its dangerous presence.

Ron Paul is the only candidate who is not afraid to talk about the loss of freedom in America. We don’t hear about it from Mitt, Newt, or Rick and certainly not from OBAMA! None of these 4 deserve a vote from any American who still believes in the Constitution, Bill of Rights or any of the other founding documents of this once great nation. We have sent our troops to die in faraway lands many times in our history. Now those “Social Democracies” are in a world of hurt again and we have elected people who want to make America just like them? I don’t get it!
I once said that I would vote for any Republican ro remove OBAMA! from office. I just don’t know if I will be able to hold my nose or stomach long enough to do so!

    • DaveH

It’s not that Ron Paul is the only candidate who is not afraid. The rest simply don’t want Freedom for us. They like their Power and Perks.

  • css

Great article, and I love when people tell the truth. Anyone, besides the sewage sludge and criminals in D.C., who thinks they’re ‘free’ in America is and has been living in a dream world. I would welcome a Revolution to remove the trash in our government and the MSM. I think we definitely need one, especially when voter fraud is clearly evident and Ron Paul, along with the American people’s right to choose a President, have been violated.

Obama needs to be vetted and Obamacare needs to go back where it came from – up Obama’s behind. Rights of ownership, as in a medical right for everyone, are only rights when one works to achieve that ownership and not forced from another so you may have those rights. If Obamacare passes it should apply to every single American, including elected officials and the SC Justices. I have to wonder why a 71 year old man – Dick Cheney – would be given a new heart at taxpayer’s expense, but yet the medical care that’s going to be forced upon everyone would allow a regular 45 year old to die.

People need to jump out of that kettle of water while they still can because it’s beginning to get a little hot. I’m not a cruel or mean person but seeing some jerks publicly tarred and feathered would give me hope that we are a free and sovereign people. A free person will rise and rebel – a braindead sloth will continue crawling for more government handouts.

    • kodster

The reason why Dick Cheney got a heart at tax-payer’s expense? Because he is the owner of Halliburton, Inc… the same company that is building and staffing the FEMA camps! He never gave up his shares in the company when he became VP with George W. Bush… he put them in trust for when he was no longer in office.

TERRI SCHIVO WAS THE FIRST VICTIM OF THE DEATH PANEL’S: March 31, 1975 the soul of Terri departed her body after being starved to death and even refused a drop of water on her tongue. I got up about 4A.M. that Thursday morning and after wrestling with The Lord the night before, announced to my wife that I had to go to Pinnelas Park, Florida and that she could go with me or stay at home. To make a long story short, she chose to go with me and we drove the 1000 miles or so and were there before the death of Terri. I gave away Ten Commandment signs to those that would take them but nothing seemed to bring any light to the spiritual darkness that permeated that place. My wife and I have been involved in many spiritual battles but this was the darkest of them all. We stayed to Easter Sunday hoping Our Lord might bring life back to the dead but He chose not to. He can bring life back to Spiritually dead America; but but why should He.???

    • Karolyn

Terry Schiavo whould have been allowed to die much sooner. If you believe in heaven, as you profess, you would certainly believe that she was better off not in this world. I don’t believe in heaven, but I do believe that the spirit never dies; and once it leaves the body has the ultimate freedom and happiness. Lives should not be prolonged by artificial means when there is no hope. I certainly would not want to live like a vegetable. When my mother died naturally with a smile on her face, I was so happy; since her brain was affected to the point that she barely knew what was going on around her. Knowing my mother, she would have been appalled at any extraordinary measures to keep her body alive.

Your post is exactly why you should have the right to decide for yourself! The government should not be involved in these decisions. They do no have that right except that they have given it to themselves! How would you like it if the government decided that you had to be kept on life support forever! Just because you agree with the view that the government is taking doesn’t mean they should have the right to pass laws that take the right from us! Next time, you may be on the other side of the issue! The government should stay the he// out of our personal decisions!

      • kodster

Terri Shiavo was not a vegetable… that was proven by her reactions and attempts to communicate. I saw the videos that were posted of her interacting with those that she trusted and knew would try to help her. She was in a prison of a body that would not function for her anymore. She was, in essence, a stroke victim. So, would you put to death someone who is there, but can’t communicate it outwardly?

    • eddie47d

Terri Schiavo was not at peace and endured much suffering at the hands of those who continually wanted to save her. Every case like that is a personal choice in how you handle it. Forcing someone to be hooked up to tubes and having their life totally controlled by someone else for 11 years isn’t always compassionate and can be very cruel in itself. Each side had to be weighed in to determine how long the suffering should have continued.

“Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself.” John Adams – on why were are a constitutional republic

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the Public Treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits from the Public Treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy always followed by dictatorship.” Alexander Fraser Tyler, “The Decline and Fall of the Athenian Republic”

The people in Israel are an invented nationality that literally stole an entire country called Palestine. They are the most destructive, murderous beings on this planet and have no empathy for humanity, but are great crybaby theives who wants sympathy from humanity. Sure they’re ‘God’s’ people because their god is Satan. God’s people would not blow up small children (the Palestinians) and laugh as their twitching bodies take their last breaths.

Jew is not a nationality – it originated from a religion of Judaism. When we take out the Zionist Jews, who are the leftovers from Hell, and rid America of their Federal Reserve System we might be able to see the rainbow over the horizon.

      • JKinIL

There WAS no country called Palestine, nor a people of Palestinians. There were hundreds of thousands of Arabs that wanted to wipe out the Jews who were left when the British cut-and-run.

      • kodster

You and James are condemned to death, by the Almighty God of Israel. It is already pre-ordained for you two. I’m not judging, I am stating fact.

      • James

It is not without reason that the Jews have been kicked out of country after country after country for the last 2,000 years. Not a whole lot has changed since the words of John were written: John 8:44

      • James

The Jews blew up the King David Hotel (google it), slaughtering all kinds of innocent people as an effective means of forcing the British out. They also went around slaughtering the rightful Arab residents (who along with their ancestors had resided on the land in peace for hundreds of years) and stole their land and since 1948 won’t let them return.

Condenmed to death????!!!! Sounds like you have been condemned to silliness or have had your head stuck in the evil Talmud for way too long. Amazing that you go around placing condemnations of another person’s death on this blogsite. Really amazing. What more will you pull out of your bag of Talmudic tricks?

For many years I have voted as a true Conservative for the Republican party, but I now feel that this story pretty mush hit the nail on the head when it comes down to what both parties have become. The elite on Wall-Street and in Washington D.C. have taken over how we the voter should elect are next President, I know a lot of people can relate to how I feel today. Washington is out of touch with American voters who see Government for the people by the people taken from us. Ask yourself how you feel about Mitt Romney being the only hope of getting are Nation back to the people a man who could not even beat John McCain in 2008 yet he can beat Obama ? Is it the Banker’s who control who we the American voter get to vote for, and are Congressmen and Seantor’s are the same say one thing just to get your vote but when in Washington look out for them self. I’m Tea Party and to tell you the truth I feel we need to start up a Tea Party movement to replace not only Congressmen and Senator’s but the President of true Conservative values, who will uphold are 9/12 values and bring back are Constitution to the people.

  • DH

Sad to see what has become of our country. People are increasingly believing that it is the job of government to provide for them and protect them from themselves. Like Livingston has asserted we are a government of one party, the person getting elected being the one who is giving the most away, the one who gets the most votes. americans have become weak and the only way to change that is for people to stand up and be counted, and stand on their own two feet. Seems as though there are few of those left.

I agree but it is so sly and subtle. They have had a good teacher. Satan is a good teacher especially to his minions. And it isn’t just national. Our county board of health has now made cover-dish suppers illegal, and church bake sales, etc., because the food was not made in kitchens meeting their very expensive-to-install restaurant level standards. This affects churches, historical societies, and all sorts of non-commercial local groups which are part of the social network. It amounts to an attack on the very idea of community.

      • Blue Devil

Karolyn — Actually, the work “Jealous” is an English translation of the Latin “Zelosus” which, in turn, is derived from the Greek Zelos (this is a transliteration. If it is possible to type in Greek on this site, I don’t know how to do it (I can in another program) Zelos is a Greek translation of the Hebrew qana (that’s an educated guess — I can’t type Hebrew, either) For a complete translation of “Zelos,” you will have to consult a Greek lexicon. Sorry, you’ll have to dig up your own — mine stays on my bookshelf.

The American people are in deep trouble the events of their time has created many political groups the extreme right, the middle, the extreme left and another group that I will label on the fringe of insanity, with such a split they could not elect a formidable leader to lead the country. Highly qualified leaders are UN willing to come forward to run for election and be able to rally all the voters to his cause. History will bear me out that when an Empire begins to fall it is afflicted with bad leaders, today the USA is a victim of leaders UN able to govern the country. Its Government is in a grid lock and unable to tackle major problems confronting the country. The issues are side tracked and each candidate is digging deeper for mud to be used against his adversary.
Democracy is sold to the highest bidder politicians are being elected by special interest group to serve their needs. The American voter has lost his or direction and are now easily deceived by Hitler type t♣propagandist, that gives them false spin of freedom which is being lost. “The signs are all around for those who choose to see.

That they do so at the expense of those they rule over bothers them not a whit.”

The signs of parasite government are all around us for those who choose to see. Freemen no longer have to search the for the hidden agenda, the crime, the power grabbing. Thanks to the Internet, and the brave hosts of website like Personal Liberty the parasites in government, slowly killing freedom, liberty, the economy, stealing our land under Agenda 21 and sustainable living are exposed easily seen even by the most blind.

Just like all other social/governmental parasites the ruling elites – politicians, judges and bureaucrats in government agencies – claim to have the hosts or peoples best interest at heart, while they eat the host alive. Bombarded by the soothing media lies, soft mind control distraction of television programming, drugs in the water supply, mind killing medical prescription most of the people believe this despite the contrary evidence of economic collapse, trillions in theft, a liar of a president and a communist congress and president destroying the constitution.

Like all parasites: ” the ruling elites — with few exceptions — are looking out for their own interests, and their own interests are gaining more wealth and more power. That they do so at the expense of those they rule over bothers them not a whit.”

I say lets cure ourselves of parasites.

did anyone notice the article saying mitt romney’s father was born in mexico? that would make romney the son of a foreign national and not a natural born citizen under the constitution, correct?

    • WILDFIRE460

“did anyone notice the article saying mitt romney’s father was born in mexico? that would make romney the son of a foreign national and not a natural born citizen under the constitution, correct?”

Not that I like Romney, and personally I think the MSM and news media and DNC are trying to brainwash the Nation to think that Romney is the only Repub candidate is because Romney is the closest match to Obama. Romney is simply the same as Obama. The DNC and news media knows this, they also know that in order to carry on the work of Obama Agenda, they need the closest thing to Obama that way regardless to whether Obama is re-elceted or if Romney is Elected, the end result will be “more of the same”.

Regardless to “where” Romney’s father was born is irrelevant to Mitt Romney’s eligibility. As long as Romney’s mother and father both were US Citizen’s or acquired US Citizenship prior to the birth of Mitt Romney. One of the dilema’s of Obama’s legitimacy is the fact that his biological father was not a US Citizen prior to BO’s birth. The Constitutions says, Must be born of parent’s (plural not singular) by which are US citizens.

    • romeyers

It doesn’t matter where Romney’s parents were born what matters is where Romney was born. His parents didn’t even have to be citizens, being born in the US makes you a citizen, ask any illegal alien with an anchor baby.

      • Bob Livingston

        Dear ronmeyers,

But it does not make one a natural-born citizen and eligible for the Presidency.

Wiki {snip}: “…anonymous e-mails from supporters of Hillary Clinton surfaced that questioned Obama’s citizenship…”
That’s funny, the original birthers were democrats.

According to my research anyone born to a parent who is a U.S. citizen can qualify as ‘natural born’. Seems you’re wasting your time since Obama’s mother is a U.S. citizen.
        Naturally Yours

      • JeffH

FACT: Obama’s father was never a U.S. citizen nor was his father an immigrant to the USA nor was his father even a permanent resident of the USA. Obama’s father was merely sojourning as a transient in the USA as a student for a few years and returned to Kenya. Thus, Obama is not and never can be an Article II “natural born” citizen of the USA.

Both parents must be citizens at the time of birth of the child in the USA for the child to be a “natural born citizen” per our Constitution’s framers intent and the “natural law”, as codified by Vattel in 1758 in his legal reference treatise, “The Law of Nations or Principles of Natural Law”. The “divided loyalties” concerns of the framers of a person who is selected to serve as our President and Commander-in-Chief of our military comes into play. Thus the framers required a “natural born” citizen only mandate in the U.S. Constitution for the Office of President and Commander-in-Chief of our military.

        • RichE

The constitution didn’t define ‘natural born’ the courts did. One definition is at least one parent be a U.S. citizen. You’re wasting your time.

      • Bob Livingston

        Dear RichE,

You write: “According to my research anyone born to a parent who is a U.S. citizen can qualify as ‘natural born’.” Your research is incomplete.

You write: “Seems you’re wasting your time since Obama’s mother is a U.S. citizen.” Fighting for the Constitution to be upheld is never a waste of time.

        Best wishes,

        • RichE

I believe your position is the father has to be a U.S. citizen at time of child’s birth. Since the U.S. Constitution doesn’t define ‘natural born’ the only acceptable (legal) definition would be from a U.S. court(s). Please provide U.S. Court definition(s) where the father has to be a U.S. Citizen.
          I offer a Wiki {snip}
The Congressional Research Service has stated that the weight of scholarly legal and historical opinion indicates that the term means one who is entitled under the Constitution or laws of the United States to U.S. citizenship “at birth” or “by birth,” including any child born “in” the United States, even to alien parents (other than to foreign diplomats serving their country), the children of United States citizens born abroad, and those born abroad of one citizen parent who has met U.S. residency requirements.[1]
The natural-born-citizen clause has been mentioned in passing in several decisions of the United States Supreme Court and lower courts dealing with the question of eligibility for citizenship by birth, but the Supreme Court has never directly addressed the question of a specific presidential or vice-presidential candidate’s eligibility as a natural-born citizen.

          Naturally yours;
P.P.S. You’re wasting your time Bob.

            Dear RichE,

You write: “I believe your position is the father has to be a U.S. citizen at time of child’s birth.” Your belief is incorrect and using Wikipedia as your source demonstrates you have no desire to learn the truth.

I have covered this subject here:

You write: “You’re wasting your time Bob.” You are correct. Responding to you has been a waste of my time; a mistake I will not make again.

            Best wishes,

          • RichE

            Giving up Bob?

          • RichE

Just trying to be a friend Bob. Sorry you see it differently.
I’ve found references that the U.S. court(s) definitions is if either parent is a U.S. citizen at the time of the child’s birth then then child qualifies as a natural born citizen. If I was a law clerk I’d advise that the president is a natural born citizen. If you still want to pursue it, you’d have to prove Barack’s mother wasn’t a U.S. Citizen at the time of Barack’s birth and I really wouldn’t advise dising someone’s mother.
Honestly Bob, I’m just trying to keep you from looking unwise.

      • JeffH

RichE, like Mr. Livingston, I can see that I’m wasting my time.

I will make one more stab at it, just for you. Barack Hussein Obama is not eligible to be President of the United States as he is NOT a Natural Born Citizen as defined by this Supreme Court ruling.

Black’s Law Dictionary defines “precedent” as a “rule of law established for the first time by a court for a particular type of case and thereafter referred to in deciding similar cases.”

In other words precedent can be defined as “an already decided decision which furnishes the basis for later cases involving similar facts and issues.”

Take a look at the precedent set for Natural Born Citizen by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1875 in Minor Vs. Happersett:

“The Constitution does not in words say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that. At common law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners. Some authorities go further and include as citizens children born within the jurisdiction without reference to the citizenship of their parents. As to this class there have been doubts, but never as to the first. For the purposes of this case, it is not necessary to solve these doubts. It is sufficient for everything we have now to consider that all children born of citizen parents(plural) within the jurisdiction are themselves citizens. “

The Court in Minor did make a direct holding that Mrs. Minor was, in fact, a US citizen. The Court established her citizenship by definining the “class” of “natural-born citizens” as those born in the US to parents(plural) who were citizens. Then the Court included Virginia Minor in that class thereby deeming her to be a US citizen. And they did this by specifically avoiding the 14th Amendment and by specifically construing Article 2 Section 1.

      • JeffH

RichE, your ignorance is astounding. How you determined that the 19th affects the determination of what constitutes a “natural born citizen” is purely ignorant.

It’s become more evident with each of your posts that you have studied Alinsky too.

        The 19 Amedment:
Section 1: The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.

Section 2: Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

COMPREHEND: to grasp mentally; understand; to include; take in; comprise

The highest form of ignorance is when you reject something you don’t know anything about.

Obama has never proved he was born in the US, so he is most definitely ineligible. Aside from a couple of too-little-too-late forgeries (forged BC, forged selective service record and fake/stolen SS# for starters), it is also known that he filed a foreign student college app and possessed an Indonesian passport.

Any and all of these things are reason enough, just by the fact that he tries so hard to obscure his past. Plus, even if he did possess US citizenship (which he does not appear to), holding dual citizenship is also disqualifying.

He attempted to provide a history by having Bill Ayres pen TWO books about him, which he claimed were autobiographies. I mean, really folks, who writes even ONE book of memoirs when they are NOBODY, let alone two.

No matter how you try to spin it, this guy is a con man and a puppet of Goldman Sachs and the rest of the NWO. He has consistently refused to release his records (because they are a fabrication), and has managed to block all investigation into them, including having the complicit media covering for him. The only one who has had the courage to stand firm is Sheriff Joe Arpaio… but the MSM has refused coverage of his findings.

It is altogether unacceptable for a person running for any office (much less POTUS) to hide their past. What kind of insanity have we come to accept in the name of partisanship?

Remember when Hillary questioned his legitimacy…and then had a “change of heart”?

More and more is now coming out. These psychopaths can’t hide the truth forever. I have learned that the military has a huge oppostion force which has understood what has been transpiring under the radar and has been at work for years. We just might see some encouraging things happening soon.

        Keep the faith, patriots.

everyone was horrified by the hippies, dems and repubs both. i read the question somewhere, where did they even come from? they were all raised in the 50s with ike as president, weren’t they? the mother stooping down to adjust the little girl’s bonnet as they head into church? repeat, church? and that little girl went on to become a drug zonked hippy in haight ashbury? once nixon was inaugurated suddenly according to the hippies the vietnam war was a repub war, and the dems realized that they had a huge untapped demographic here. of course they had to swallow their agenda, they couldn’t tell the hippies oh we’re against the war too, but we don’t go along with your atheism, your lsd, communism, free love and your hating this country, etc etc. and so the dems created a new identity for themselves so that the hippies would vote for them. this is how labor started to drift away from the dems, who went on to campaign for abortion, condoms in the classroom and now gay marriage. oh how they uphold the banner of separation of church and state. but what is the state? is it that space out west enclosed by four arbitrary straight lines and appears on the map as colorado? is it other geographic areas enclosed by other straight lines as well as mountain ranges or rivers? or perhaps it’s the governments of these regions, as well as the overall government of all these regions together. no, the state is us. we as citizens are the state! now do you see what they want to do? they want to separate religion from us! especially that pesky evangelical religion. so this is where my tedious essay is leading, the eventual establishment of thought camps. at least with mitt romney this will never happen under him. he wakes up in the morning as mitt romney, mormon, not as mitt romney rich guy or global strategist. that will buy us a few years. i should give messr santourm credit for that too. now that you know this how will you vote. be careful even if you’re a fervent dem. a few court appointments and we will have a brave new world. now who’s that knocking on the door?

Mr, Livingston, you are a JERK! This idea that Mandates are not constitutional is pure BALONEY! The Constitution was written to be amended; The Framers understood the future would bring change, so they wrote a document that could grow with the country. You do understand that here is a difference between the two?

        - The government hinders capitalism with the support of the crony-capitalists.

Arthur says — “I laugh at the Tea Party crazies who want “small government, but don’t touch my Medicare!”.
So, here we have an example of how the Progressives operate. First they force their help (with other peoples’ money) on those of us who don’t want their help. Then after taking our money to pay for programs that we didn’t want in the first place, they criticize us for expecting to receive the benefits that they promised us when they took our money against our will.
Remember that, Folks. When you succumb to the sweet-sounding Liberal lies you are plainly selling your souls to the devil.

So, why are Americans so ingnorant as to how politicians destroy America? You do not have to look any further than to take a good look at Public Education! Public Education is the greatest tribute so Sovietism, for a better word! How can a Socialistic/Communistic System truly teach the legacy of the Founding Fathers? Yes, besides mentioning that they, the Founding Fathers existed, but all they said is now not anymore applicable, becasue the world has changed! Oh yes indeed, the world has changed and actually in a great way led by America as disobedience to the US Constitution and etc., became the way of doing things around the globe. “Overgrown military establishments are under any form of government inauspicious to liberty and are to be regarded as particularly hostile to republican liberty”. By George Washington. “No pecuniray consideration is more urgent than the regular redemption and discharge of the public debt: on none can delay be more injurious or an economy of time more valuable”. By George Washington. However, no sooner the last of the Founding Fathers went to his rest America started to loose track and the most uncivil-civil war ever was fought on American soil! And actually from there on America started to trust more and more in solving problems with guns, therefore America is the most brutal Militaristic Empire ever. This comment from a legal immigrant now going on 57 years, and have concluded that born Americans have sold America to the lowest bidder if not given it away for free! Lets vote for Ron Paul, the only hope remaining for America, otherwise more destructive wars will be the road to the final hell for America!

Bob, your paranoia is getting the better of you and the majority of your readers.

Then again, perhaps this is just good old capitalism. Using fear mongering to get people to visit the Liberty Store.

BTW, in your rant, you blame everything on the politicians. If you want to really target the problem, start with the Forbes 400 and the Davos or Koch Bros invitation lists. They are the real elites destroying the USA.

    • DaveH

You have any evidence to back up your accusations?

  • Mirage

HEY BOB; interesting article with some empirical nuggets of truth that are similar to SOME of the things I believe. Strangely, you offer no advice regarding what people should do about the over reach of government.
In some of your previous articles you advise people to vote for Ron Paul … basically for change, and yet, in todays article, if I’m hearing you right, you conclude our governmental system controls the outcome no matter the candidate/politician … i.e. basically you write George W. and Obama are both parasites that are essentially governed by our political system, versus them the politicians, being in the drivers seat. If that is what you are saying, then I agree, and further more, I’ll offer some advice on how people can attempt to take their government back: SOCIAL MOVEMENTS! For example; “OWS”, “GET MONEY OUT”, AND “99% Spring” … for the people, by the people.

    • DaveH

First you need to figure out who the real enemy is:

      • Mirage

I checked out the website you referenced and went over it quickly … the governmental workers being a “1%”, Ron Paul, etc. There were some nuggets of truth I could agree with i.e. government being too big/not producing anything material sort-of-speak etc.
I think there are many truths about how to help America survive and prosper in the years ahead, and good ideas come from a lot of varied places: the extreme Right, the extreme Left, perhaps most, from Middle America. If Americans could somehow work through some issues together, some positive things would happen.
Unfortunately, with our two party system that caters ONLY to the the extreme Left and extreme Right, I think the majority of Americans get left in the MIDDLE, have no voice, and therefore, are the Silent Majority.
To conclude, I don’t think blame for America’s decline can be asigned to any one or few political/social demographic(s), as in, “it-was-them-not-me”, but instead, perhaps blame can be cast upon us all. Perhaps only when, or if, American’s can unite enough to form a cohesive message, i.e. perhaps social movements, will change come.
        Just opinions, not fact.

      • DaveH

How about getting Government out of the economic equation, so that we, the people, can decide who to trade with, who to work with, and who to associate with? You know — that thing that Liberals tout, but in reality dislike — Choice.

  • SpiritOfJeremiah

All I can say is (other than the article was well done), that the DEFINITION of INSANTITY applies here. I see all to many people proffering their views as either “liberal” or “conservative” and far too few crying out for being CONSTITUTIONAL!
Nothing is going to change, except to get worse…we as a Nation are ONE stroke of a pen, and declaration from Martial Law, being enslaved and even killed if we don’t go along with the spirit of Antichrist.
Why are we still stuck in this so-called “two party system”? Because everyone is as the man stated in this article. Complacent and or SCARED! “I don’t wanna waste my vote” is the voters cry!! Then why are YOU VOTING???? The votes are wasted anyway…haven’t you noticed?
People from BOTH sides need to wake up! More particularly on the “liberal” side. Wake up! Before you find yourself eating what people want you to eat, only getting things “they” want you to have and living a life of servitude to China and our Communist Regime. SERIOIUSLY! There is ANOTHER Party out there that IS Constitution, much like Ron Paul, but in my mind even more so. (I do like Ron).
There is definitely too much to type about on this subject. I would be writing my own article…but, I just thought I’d chime in here while I still have 2 CENTS to my name. All this borrowing from China…and RUMORS of Chinese Soldiers training in Mexico…well, I have to admit, I’m a little concerned. JUST WAIT! BUSINESS as USUAL is going to have us in servitude (full servitude) within this decade.
    Change!? MY *SS!!
Add that to the militerization of our Police (lol), Peace Officers and the fact that U.N. Troops train on our soil also…well, use your imaginations…not to mention all the “conspiracy theories” of concentration camps with signs on the main gates in foreign languages and a host of other RUMORS…
I’m done! If I don’t stop now I won’t stop until a book is ready for the Publisher.

Well, I can say this was a good and thought provoking article. However, I cannot say I believe the extent of totalitarianism is at the level here described. But we have seen some alarming trends. It is my opinion and belief with as many years of research that we are a Democratic Republic!! Our Constitution depicts limits on Government which we Americans have failed to hold our representation to account. Hence, such articles bear and significant degree of proof. My question is what are we willing to do about it, and what all can we do! We still have the freedom to remove those individuals we wish to remove. However, will we continue to sluggishly proceed in ignorance or become educated and press for peaceful and positive change? Thank you for the article.

Ok, these are strong arguments and I agree with some and some I don’t.
Let me ax a question :)
“What would you have done if you were a sitting president and you were attacked by an organization which was hell bent on destorying everything you as country stood for”
Maybe the “Patriot Act” may be not
The facts are that you don’t know what you would of done. More over you tell me of one case that went against an innocent person under the PA. I’ve heard of one and he sued and he collected. Facts are that we no longer live in a world where conventional warfare is the norm and we can’t always see our enemies. Look at Ben Gurion International Airport, dogs, military, shoes off, checks that go to the tenth power where our airports are concerned, and no one’s bitchin. Why, because they are safe and secure when getting on an airplane. There has been no terrorist action with El Al and there’s a reason for it, they don’t allow the terrorist on-board. I for one am very glad to lose a little time at an airport to know that a madman is not getting on-board. And yes, taking my shoes off, be stripped search if need be, getting a little radiation in my body or whatever.
The facts are, yes, we are losing freedoms and yes I am very outraged at some of the stuff coming out this White House and the Bush White Houes and the Clinton and the Bush 41 White House and Regan White House and , and , and,….
Presidents aren’t infalable, they make mistakes they all do. This president we have now more so than any of the others. But still they all make mistakes. I am sick of all wars, the war on terrorism, the war on drugs, the Afghan war, the war on the rich, the war on the poor, the war on sugar, the war on salt, the race war, the war on communisim, the war on big oil, big phar, the war Wall street. The 99% vs 1% (sounds like a horror flick). I am sick of the whole damned thing. So if the forces of evil come march down my street, and the zombie apocalypse rains down on me,nuclear bombs fall, civil unrest, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria. I just want a job, something to eat, some money in my poket, good health and a sound place to rest my head. Because the facts are stunning. What did you expect to happen after the great 80′s and booming 90′s, and the first half of this century, we need a reset pure and simple. I kind think all these things that are happening in the world are not much different then what’s alway been happening just now we have a 24 hour news cycle and the media needs something for those 24 hours so why not make it bad and make sour it sells and it’s all about ratings after all isn’t it…

You write: “Let me ax a question :)
“What would you have done if you were a sitting president and you were attacked by an organization which was hell bent on destorying everything you as country stood for”
Maybe the “Patriot Act” may be not…” You are assuming that I believe the official government line that Osama bin Laden orchestrated a terror attack on the U.S. that led to 19 mostly Saudi incompetents to hijack and fly airliners into three buildings and the government was caught completely by surprise. I do not. Therefore your question is a non sequitur.

      Best wishes,

    • TML

“What would you have done if you were a sitting president and you were attacked by an organization which was hell bent on destorying everything you as country stood for”

I would call this a “complex question” fallacy instead of non sequitur.

(complex question: is a question that implicitly assumes something to be true by its construction, such as “Have you stopped beating your wife?” A question like this is fallacious only if the thing presumed true (in this case, an organization hell bent on destroying everything you as a country stood for) has not been established.)

I assert that such an attack was directly in response to repeated injury in the Middle East, (i.e. bombing Iraq for over a decade which resulted in more innocent deaths than Hiroshima, repeated despotic intervention in the affairs of those countries dating, etc.) and not because they are hell bent on destroying everything you as a country stands for (i.e. Freedom & Liberty) as it is certain that these countries do not view America as liberators, nor freedom loving, as ‘we’ use force to spread our version of ‘democracy’ through conquest.

Recognizing the problem is only half of the real problem. The other half revolves around people’s willingness to get lost or distracted among the sideshows offered by government and the media to sidestep our attention and our willingness to focus on and keep fighting over the minor issues offered up by the usual culprits so that we continue to fall in line by relying upon the tired old standard means of redress we have always relied upon, while ignoring how much they have been coopted, subverted and wholly taken over by the criminals in what used to be our government, rather than our having the wisdom to look past all of this to see the big picture and then to stand our ground, remove these criminals and retake our republic, shrinkinig government to about 2% of its current size, shackling government officials to the “true” will of the actual citizens exclusively or shackling them in more true and honest means for their crimes (along with their handlers, and other accomplices) while turning on their foreign controllers (including Soros and his handlers).

Applause, applause, applause! And thank you for pointing out so succinctly how the process works of taking away freedoms in the USA. After reading this potent article, I hear singing in my mind Benjamin Franklin’s famous quote when asked what kind of government you gave us: “A democratic republic, if YOU can KEEP it.” Boy, have we left down the Founding Fathers and Mothers, I’d say.

Americans, please wake up and smell the rot within our borders. It’s strange how our government criticizes other governments for their human rights abuses, but doesn’t consider that it is doing the same using the power of some methods that few people know about or suspect, especially Presidential Executive Orders, which in essence makes a dictatorship rule that neither Congress, SCOTUS, or voters can repeal. That’s OUTRAGEOUS, I say. Presidential Executive Orders powers MUST be abolished and taken away from any and all presidents because neither the U.S. Constitution nor the Congress ever gave such powers to any president from what I know of USA history.
Let’s start a national campaign to take back our freedoms.

The illegality of aggressive war has been reinforced by the U.N. Charter, which expressly prohibits a military attack by one nation against another unless the target nation has itself illegally attacked, or was about to illegally attack, the other nation.

Instead of continuing the proud tradition of the Nuremberg principles, and complying with the Kellogg-Briand Pact and the United Nations Charter, the United States, during the Bush administration, engaged in the blatantly criminal act of invading and forcibly occupying Iraq, a nation that posed no risk of harm whatsoever to the United States. It was the sort of crime for which people were tried and convicted at Nuremberg. Two Secretaries-General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan and Boutros Boutros-Ghali, agreed it was a clear violation of international law — yet no one has been held to account.

Making illegal war is the most serious crime because it purports to legalize mass murder, severe injuries, mass property destruction, and societal mayhem. Compounding this most serious crime in our invasion and occupation of Iraq, it was committed in blatant violation of the War Power Clause of the United States Constitution, which provides that Congress has the sole prerogative to decide whether to take our nation to war.

Congress cannot avoid its highest responsibility by unconstitutionally delegating to the President the authority to make the decision. However, that is exactly what Congress, in cowardly derogation of its constitutional duties, has sought to do repeatedly.

The process of Israelification began in the immediate wake of 9/11, when national panic led federal and municipal law enforcement officials to beseech Israeli security honchos for advice and training. America’s Israel lobby exploited the climate of hysteria, providing thousands of top cops with all-expenses paid trips to Israel and stateside training sessions with Israeli military and intelligence officials. By now, police chiefs of major American cities who have not been on junkets to Israel are the exception.

“Israel is the Harvard of antiterrorism,” said former US Capitol Police Chief Terrance W. Gainer, who now serves as the US Senate Sergeant-at-Arms. Cathy Lanier, the Chief of the Washington DC Metropolitan Police, remarked, “No experience in my life has had more of an impact on doing my job than going to Israel.” “One would say it is the front line,” Barnett Jones, the police chief of Ann Arbor, Michigan, said of Israel. “We’re in a global war.”

Karen Greenberg, the director of Fordham School of Law’s Center on National Security and a leading expert on terror and civil liberties, said the Israeli influence on American law enforcement is so extensive it has bled into street-level police conduct. “After 9/11 we reached out to the Israelis on many fronts and one of those fronts was torture,” Greenberg told me. “The training in Iraq and Afghanistan on torture was Israeli training. There’s been a huge downside to taking our cue from the Israelis and now we’re going to spread that into the fabric of everyday American life? It’s counter-terrorism creep. And it’s exactly what you could have predicted would have happened.”

It’s a pity that Bush, when he was in office, made such a big deal of evil. He discredited the concept. He made Boobus americanus think it only existed in a distant axis, in places like North Korea, Iraq and Iran – which were and still are irrelevant backwaters and arbitrarily chosen enemies. Bush trivialized the concept of evil and made it seem banal because he was such a fool. All the while real evil, very immediate and powerful, was growing right around him, and he lacked the awareness to see he was fertilizing it by turning the US into a national security state after 9/11.

Now, I believe, it’s out of control. The US is already in a truly major depression and on the edge of financial chaos and a currency meltdown. The sociopaths in government will react by redoubling the pace toward a police state domestically and starting a major war abroad. To me, this is completely predictable. It’s what sociopaths do.

There are seven characteristics I can think of that define a sociopath, although I’m sure the list could be extended.

Sociopaths completely lack a conscience or any capacity for real regret about hurting people. Although they pretend the opposite.

Sociopaths put their own desires and wants on a totally different level from those of other people. Their wants are incommensurate. They truly believe their ends justify their means. Although they pretend the opposite.

Sociopaths consider themselves superior to everyone else, because they aren’t burdened by the emotions and ethics others have – they’re above all that. They’re arrogant. Although they pretend the opposite.

Sociopaths never accept the slightest responsibility for anything that goes wrong, even though they’re responsible for almost everything that goes wrong. You’ll never hear a sincere apology from them.

Sociopaths have a lopsided notion of property rights. What’s theirs is theirs, and what’s yours is theirs too. They therefore defend currency inflation and taxation as good things.

Sociopaths usually pick the wrong target to attack. If they lose their wallet, they kick the dog. If 16 Saudis fly planes into buildings, they attack Afghanistan.

Sociopaths traffic in disturbing news, they love to pass on destructive rumors and they’ll falsify information to damage others.

Empires Then and Now – March 27th 2012 – By Paul Craig Roberts

America’s wars are very expensive. Bush and Obama have doubled the national debt, and the American people have no benefits from it. No riches, no bread and circuses flow to Americans from Washington’s wars. So what is it all about?

The answer is that Washington’s empire extracts resources from the American people for the benefit of the few powerful interest groups that rule America. The military-security complex, Wall Street, agri-business and the Israel Lobby use the government to extract resources from Americans to serve their profits and power. The US Constitution has been extracted in the interests of the Security State, and Americans’ incomes have been redirected to the pockets of the 1 percent. That is how the American Empire functions.

The New Empire is different. It happens without achieving conquest. The American military did not conquer Iraq and has been forced out politically by the puppet government that Washington established. There is no victory in Afghanistan, and after a decade the American military does not control the country.

In the New Empire success at war no longer matters. The extraction takes place by being at war. Huge sums of American taxpayers’ money have flowed into the American armaments industries and huge amounts of power into Homeland Security. The American empire works by stripping Americans of wealth and liberty.

    • joseph foster

Bob your comments on the Afghanistan war is correct in my book I wrote a chapter Titled, ‘The Afghan war Fiasco’’ It will be recorded in the annals of history that the US biggest mistake was the two wars, Iraq and Afghanistan, these wars support the military Industrial complex.

14 defining characteristics of fascism: The U.S. in 2012

When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying the cross. — Sinclair Lewis, It Can’t Happen Here. (1935)

In the spring of 2003, ex-corporate executive and political scientist Lawrence W. Britt published an essay in Free Inquiry magazine entitled “Fascism Anyone?” In his work, Britt examined the traits of the two governments that formed the original historical model for fascism, Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy, and five other protofascist regimes that imitated that model, Franco’s Spain, Salazar’s Portugal, Papadopoulos’s Greece, Pinochet’s Chile, and Suharto’s Indonesia. He identified 14 characteristics that were common to all of them.

These traits have since been widely accepted as the 14 defining characteristics of fascism.

Nearly three generations removed from the horrors of Nazi Germany, all of these regimes have been overthrown, but fascism’s principles can still be found in many nations. History tends to repeat itself because many leaders and nations fail to learn from history, or they draw the wrong conclusions. Sadly, historical amnesia is the norm in the world today.

In the U.S., leaders, teachers, media and citizens proudly claim that America is a democratic society with certain freedoms and rights guaranteed to all citizens by the Constitution, Bill of Rights and rule of law. But is that really the case?

A close look at the 14 characteristics of fascism in light of what has changed in America in the past few years may raise some questions as to whether or not Americans truly live in a democratic society.

      Dear Neil Swan,

The 9/11 attacks were a false flag event designed to give pretense to ratchet up the war in the Middle East and to create fear in people like you who would then accept that the loss of your freedom to travel unimpeded and to receive dangerous doses of radiation (while enriching a select group of manufacturers who create the radiation scanners) is necessary for your safety.

XVII Direct election of senators, electors, vacancies in the senate took effect May 31, 1913. This moved us from a complex Republic to a simple republic much like the style of government of the Soviet Union. State rights were lost and we were plunged headlong into a democracy of which our forefathers warned was the vilest form of government because it always ends in oppression.”

The oppression really began officially when the bankrupt, IMF foreclosed USA Inc and collateral ( the District of Columbia was quit claimed in 1944, when the IMF became the Central Bank of the UNITED NATIONS Inc. The capitalistic dictatorship, Rothschild World Bank of Britain have ruled since. WE will soon become a Province/Colony like Canada and Australia, part of the global New World Order as the North American Union. That might happen this year before the election in November. Obama is the CEO of USA Inc.

“The U.S. They presumed that Americans would be ever vigilant against the evil forces of the ruling elites and would value their freedom and liberties more even than their creature comforts.”

Excellent article, Bob. The Constitution may not be a ‘perfect document,’ but if we, the People, had been watchful guardians of our freedom, we could have prevented the gradual take-over of our once free country.

First, we allowed the ‘gradual’ infiltration of our universities which ‘gradually’ filtered down into our secondary and, now, elementary ‘public’ education institutions. Today’s generation doesn’t seem to care that their personal liberties, enumerated in the Bill of Rights, have been decimated by those who were elected, and took an oath, to protect those rights.
Second, we allowed the ‘gradual’ takeover of our mainstream media industry, starting with what used to be a ‘free press’ and has blossomed into 24/7 ‘gradual,’ but increasingly blatant, manipulation of those who aren’t paying attention and/or seeking real facts and other opinions. The few pockets of ‘free press’ and conservative media are increasingly under government pressure to prevent reporting of negative information about government (notice the lack of reporting about Sheriff Arpaio’s ‘official’ investigation into Obama’s ‘likely-forged’ eligibility documentation.) Conservative radio and the free internet are also under attack by the liberal, biased media and have only avoided government restraint by the ‘grace of God’ and the failure of Congress to (so-far) pass several attempts to control them.
Third, the entertainment industry, in a coordinated effort with MSM, has ‘gradually’ removed the restraints of morality and virtue from the lives and culture of America in the name of ‘art’ and ‘freedom of expression,’ substituting depravity and ‘idol’ worship.

Until Americans stop listening to ‘main-stream’ media and decide to take back our guaranteed liberties by restoring the Constitution, we will only sink further into a malaise that allows totalitarianism to flourish and become stronger. Under the current Usurper’s administration, with the complicity of Congress and the Judicial system, we have gone from ‘gradualism’ to finally putting in place the means for the ‘strong-arm tactics’ that will surely follow.
Short of a new bloody revolution, the obvious first step is to stop re-electing the corrupt, incumbent politicians. If every election sees a new crop of citizen representatives, who are given no expectation of re-election and no chance to accumulate power and riches, we may have a chance to return to limited government by ‘Consent of the Governed’—instead of government by un-elected bureaucratic regulations, executive and administrative ‘Orders’ and unconstitutional judicial legislation.

“You Americans are so gullible. No, you won’t accept Communism outright; but we’ll keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you’ll finally wake up and find that you already have Communism. We won’t have to fight you; we’ll so weaken your economy until you fall like overripe fruit into our hands.” ~ Nikita Khrushchev, Oct. 25, 1966

As some have mentioned, we are supposed to be a Republic (Article IV Sectiion 4). Our Republic had only the powers that were enumerated in Article I Section 8. However Congress has ignored that for decades. So now we are a Democracy where Congress has the power to do whatever most Americans want, or whatever they can get away with, without its constitutionality being challenged.
Our problem is that most Americans don’t know that, they assume state governments are merely agencies of the federal government. And for alll practical purposes they have become that.

The Nazis were formed by the Vatican’s Teutonic Knights.

I realize the controlled media such as the History Channel neglects to inform the viewers of this. They did however produce a segment on the Vatican’s ratlines that escaped the war criminals after ww2.

It was recently shown Hitler did not die after DNA and other examination was done of the skull fragment held by Russia, by an American scientist and the History Channel.

    Who founded Washington DC? Rome

THE ONE SURE FACT OF AMERICAN HISTORY is that the United States was conceived in secrecy. Our history’s most trustworthy witness, Charles Thomson, a classical scholar who kept detailed minutes of the clandestine proceedings of the Continental Congress from 1774 to 1789, destroyed all of his personal papers relative to these defining events.

My investigation began with a general overview of the federal district, Washington, DC. No studious observer looking for meaning can help but discern in Washington an architectural and monumental presence that is almost overwhelmingly Roman.

I focused on the city’s most hallowed edifice, the Capitol. A cursory title search on the real estate upon which it stands turned up a surprise. In 1663, the property that would become the Capitol’s site was inscribed in the Maryland property records as “Rome,” its owner a man named “Pope.” The southern boundary of this property was shaped by a river named for the river that runs through Rome, the Tiber.

I further discovered that “Rome” was transferred to the federal government in the years following ratification of the Constitution by its owner, Daniel Carroll. Carroll was the chairman of a three-man commission appointed by President George Washington to find a suitable location for the capital city. A signer of the Declaration of Independence, Daniel Carroll was a Roman Catholic educated by Jesuits in Maryland and France. His brother John was a Jesuit priest.

Today’s Capitol Hill is where a place once called: Rome, Maryland once was.

Maryland the only Catholic colony while before the revolution Catholics were prevented from entering politics due to the well founded threat of Rome.

No amount of revolution will bring down the Vatican’s NWO any more than it would the holy roman empire before. What did bring down Holy Rome? The Bible and Reformation!

I leave you with the Roman Catholic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi boasting about their NWO.

The rise of Barack Obama has been almost unheard of in American politics. How could this have happened? Could it have been orchestrated by the Master Political Orchestrator… Karl Rove?

VK Durham just posted an email she received from Lenny Bloom in which he speculates that the Obama Candidacy could be a plan by Karl Rove “to destroy the Democratic Party forever and in one fell swoop separate the blacks and whites into two parties.”

I have wondered the same thing. After assembling the pieces of the puzzle that the Elite MSM does not WANT the America people to know, I see a pattern of mind control circling Barack Obama from his childhood.

If Karl Rove also could see a pattern of mind control in Obama’s background, then it would have been very easy for him to exploit it and create a Trojan Horse in the Democratic Party.

We’ve had unknowns on the national scene before Obama, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter are two that come to mind. No one had heard of either of them outside their own states. But BOTH of them had been Governors and had had experience in being the executive and actually being responsible for budgets and payrolls and things like that. In addition, Clinton had been Attorney General of Arkansas and Carter had run a business and employed people.

What has Barack Obama done besides learning how to mesmerize an audience with a combination of Neural Linguistic Programming (NLP) and the hypnosis techniques of Dr. Milton Erickson, M.D. who developed a form of “conversational” hypnosis that could be hidden in seemingly normal speech and used on patients without their knowledge for therapy purposes.

I have written extensively about the super form of NLP that has been taught to CIA operatives at the Life Management Institute (LMI) in Waco, Texas since the early 60s. It’s my belief that what we know as NLP actually came out of this Institute. This kind of “super hypnosis” has been around for over 40 years, probably much longer.

Some people are better at learning this technique than others. I’m certain George H.W. Bush and George W. probably were taught this technique. Needless to say, neither one of them became a master at it. I also think President Clinton was taught this technique. But NO ONE, in recent American history has mastered it in the same way that Barack Obama has mastered it.

If Barack Obama has been a creation of Karl Rove to destroy the Democratic Party forever, then Karl Rove has to be the most brilliant tactician in modern history.

You will notice that Rove left the Bush Administration BEFORE the Democratic Party came to power, and two years later… presided over Congress and the economy crashed.

That was just about the same time that Barack Obama announced his bid for the Presidency. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could have a magic camera that showed us every move that Karl Rove has made since he left the Bush Administration?

jay, what you say may be true, however, one thing for sure karl rove is doing a good job of destroying the republican party, maybe that’s what he had in mind.

America has thrown out god from the schools and its institutions along with the military and has murdered over 50 million babies and will soon begin to murder the old, the lame, the dumb, the jews and the christians. Does any sane person believe we are not under GOD’s judgement?

    • chuckb

lawrence, we are always under god’s judgement. man is causing his own problems by trying to act like god. if we as christians believe, then we should consider the tale of the tower of babel, why did god want to separate the people? we are now trying to rebuild the tower of babel. a one world government.

  • Jeremy Leochner

Yes America is a totalitarian regime. Which is why the government and government institutions and leaders can be openly criticized via the internet where anyone can access it and make equally critical comments. I know when I think of totalitarian regimes I think open and public criticism. Mr. Livingston our country is not a totalitarian regime. In regards to the people you listed no one has called them enemies. Or if they have many would disagree with them. Disagreements with people over politics don’t make them enemies. There are abuses and illegal and immoral acts that have been and are being committed by this administration. But it is the same as countless administrations before them. Even George Washington and Lincoln in their times and afterward were accused of wrongful acts. But that dosen’t make their administrations or their legacies ones of tyrants or criminals. Everyone makes mistakes and must be judged for them. But I do not believe the mistakes made by the Obama administration constitute our country as a totalitarian regime. Being part of a Republic means having people in charge who you disagree with. Having a government means following rules you may not agree with. Im not saying government should always be followed or simply a rule being a rule makes it justified. My point is mistakes dont equate to tyranny. Political disagreement dosen’t equate to persecution. And Obama’s Presidency dosen’t equate to a totalitarian regime.

    • sandy daniels

Your right. obummers administration is more a dictatorship

      • Jeremy Leochner

Sandy He is the elected president of a Federal Republic. How can he be considered a dictator or his presidency a dictatorship?

        • sandy daniels

he doesn’t follow the prcedures a president does, he forces his private laws upon the American people, he encorages race violence, he never allowed the prosicution of black panthers when they used voter intimidation, he is embroiled in scandle after scandle when our lazy assed congress does tell him “no” he simply makes it an “executive order’ HE FAILS TO PROTECT THE NATIONS BORDER. He abuses his power at the expence of the nation, he takes more time off than any other president in history costong the taxpayers millions of dollars, he invades our privacy Ignores the laws that limit a president,
he fears the people of the US, he has said persoally he will eliminate the second amendment in his second term, he has said that he is tired of dealing with the congress and will do his own thing regardless of whether they approved or not, he has rendered the constitution vitually void, he has expanded hate crimes (inequality) to include special groups such as blacks ,gays, people of the islamic ME he seperates the classes to such a point that a native born American has little chance of defending his family without a hate crime being pinned on him. He promotes inequality when our founding documents say ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL and finally he has millions of namesof AMERICANS on his domestic terroist list for crimes and indicators that clearly make them a high risk for domestic terririst acts.

These according to the dictator and his tzars are such characteristics/ Being an American serviceman, anti abortion or pro life, being a Christian, owning a weapon, freely useing their freedom of speech, attending tea partys, those who don;t believe in “special rights” those who are constitutionalists, those who resist the Idea of a one world government, those who openly diagree with him, those who wish to secure the southren border of America, Those who want the healthcare debicle gone from this country all those who are armed and actually train to keep their skill levels high. Anyone who is NOT pro gay, anyone who supports churches who say what the bible says is the truth, anyone who opposes martial law, anyone who thinks that his private army is illegal. He calls it his private army, if one of us did that it would be a millita group and as such an anti- American group. Even though it is clearly stated in the second amendment. I could go on but whats the point you have chosen to NOT see till it’s inescapble in YOUR face and with overwheming evidence. By that time it will be far to late to use the ballot box. Then you wil holler about how nobody ever told you.

      • Jeremy Leochner

As to the black panthers I have never heard about that. I have never heard of him promoting inequality in hate crimes laws. People do commit hate crimes against people of all races but I have never seen any evidence of him giving special treatment to some. As for all those others that is not evidence of dictatorship. Obama may disagree with some of those people or their ideals but disagreement is not persecution. The president not agreeing with your ideals or values dosen’t make those views illegal or persecuted. He is not going to take away guns. He is not going to destroy the second amendment or go after people of religious faith or those who disagree with him. Having a president who dosen’t believe as you do dosen’t mean your living under a dictatorship. Disagreement is not dictatorship.

        • sandy daniels

Then sir kindly explain why he hillery and michelle all said they would publicly? Or didn’t you catch that? They plan to sign the UN treaty which basically disarms the US. It’s called the international small arms treaty. It is to be signed this summer. Keep drinkin that koolaid now

      • Jeremy Leochner

I have heard various accounts of the treaty and my basic understanding is that all the treaty will do is stiffen exiting gun laws and make it more difficult to obtain a gun. That is a far cry from “basically disarming the US”. Wanting to make it harder to obtain guns and taking guns away are two completely different things.

        • sandy daniels

In case you missed this part it gives the UN control over our citizens rights, negates the second amendment and makes it a privalege instead of a right. If you want to see what happens after look at England. obummer said he would eliminate the second amendment that is exactly what this will do. Start thinking critically and look to history for the facts. The first thing any dictator or totalitarian power must do to keep power is disarm the people. Armed members of a country are called citizens unarmed members of a society are called subjects or slaves.

      • Jeremy Leochner

Sandy: Obama never said he would eliminate the second amendment. Those words were put in his mouth by the NRA. As to the treaty it changes existing gun regulations to make them stronger and brings other Countries in the UN to have equally strong restrictions. It dose not say anything about giving the UN control over our lives. Our country signed the treaty that we helped create. It applies to other countries same as ours. Our country and our citizens are still in control of their own lives.
As to your argument about my learning history these are are the basic facts I do know. All the terrible things you mentioned are things Obama’s critics declared he would do if he was elected in the first place. In 2008 they swore if he was elected he would take away our guns, open our borders to all immigrants and declare war on people of faith. None of that has happened. Even some of those same critics are now saying that he didn’t do what they said he would do. But the excuse is that he is just waiting to do it till his second term. Obama never was, never has or ever will destroy or attack the second amendment. We live in a Republic and if Obama tried to destroy an amendment, specifically one of the first amendments it would be obvious and no one would support it. Wanting stricter gun regulation and disarming the people so they pose no threat are two different things. Republics do not fall to dictatorship until they divide and collapse from within. Its only when the people start turning on each other that a dictator can seize power. Obama is not a dictator trying to seize power and however divided our country may be it is not divided enough for anyone to try and seize dictatorial power even if they wanted to. With the deepest respect Sandy I say this out of a deeply held personal conviction. Living with a president whose views disagree with yours is not the same as living under a dictatorship.

        • sandy daniels

actually michelle affermed the elimination of the second amendment at his re-election. It was all over the net about a month ago. I don’t know how you could’ve missed that. In addition the southern border is still virtually a no mans land. Illegals are pouring over the border fom both mexico and the middle east. Those sir are documented facts. The NDAA
the heathcare bill…….. both are deeply in conflict with the Constitution. I know what I see and it is undeniable that this country is in it’s twilight rife with race seperation anti-sematic and anti-religion dogma, the media is by no means fair in it’s reporting the individual no longer has freedom to even own land for the most part…. just rent it from the government. I am deeply saddened by what I have seen in my lifetime because I have seen this fall in slow motion. We have so many laws on the books that it is virtually impossible to fail to break some law or another and you say we need even more? In fourty years I have witnessed the fall of the USA. Now the only relavent thing to me is to care for my family and keep them as safe as I can. It saddens me to see how short sighted people are and how they can just “ignore it” so long as it doesn’t effect them.
let me give you an example. I have served my country honorably, I have a clean military AND civilian record, I have kept to myself neither breaking the law nor disturbing others. Yet according the the grey laws that have been written in the last two decades I am an undesireable citizen. How does that happen? Simple a government which decides to compartmentalize and classify, label and divide each person from another. I am 1/2 native American but I don’t hyphonate myself I am an American first and formost. I tired of the whole damned thing. I have always kept to myself and left others alone to live their own lives as they see fit. It’s too damned bad that people will allow themselves to be “taken care of” instead of living as free men but there is not a damned thing I can do about it. Good Luck to you in the coming days and months. I happen to agree with this author it will get far worse before and IF it gets better a blind man can see that. Keep to yourself and just try to get along it’s gonna get rough in those citys when the economy crashes. I sincerly hope your faith in goverment is well placed.

I have never heard or seen Michelle attack the second amendment. I have heard her and the president support stronger gun laws though. As to the border I will admit it has serious issues and it does need to be improved.
I believe people still have the power to own land. Its just unfortunate that in our economy its often hard to make the payments that make it completely yours. Though I do agree the media is not always fair or unbiased in their reporting.
I don’t know you Sandy but I trust you. I’m sure you have heard this but I thank you for your service. If you have been unfairly attacked or treated then perhaps such laws do need to be changed. As to your being 1/2 Native American I would say technically being a Native American and being an American are pretty much the same. Just my opinion. I think diversity is important and I think anyone and everyone should be safe in being who they are. Finally I appreciate your concern and your love for your family. I wish you the best of luck. And indeed we shall see if my faith in government is well placed.

Mark and Galt: You are a few of the idiots that are missing the point of this article completely. The items he recites are just the things that Obummer has instituted in the first 3 years – if he’s here another 4, we will look MORE like Russia. This true Communist & his best friend, Bill Ayers, know that they can’t institute Red Chinese qualities overnight – they’re slowly creeping it in. Read some of their former ‘propaganda pieces’ – if you can find them after Google’s scrubs. It’s just a matter of time before this Population Control crowd limits your decisions on # of children and decides when you die (death panels). It’s so OBVIOUS now, only a moroan couldn’t recognize how badly the voters of this Country were manipulated – DON’T let it happen again. Send him back to Africa!

excellent article Bob. It is the administration that is trying to force a confrontation. I am truly dismayed by the bigoted, hate Israel comments made by those who are completly ingnorant on the subject.

  • American Working Man

W did it. It was okay, because he’s Republican. Now Obam does it it’s Totalitarianism American-Style. Boo-Hoo-Hoo

  • sandy daniels

I;ve read some decent comments here and some truly bigoted assinine comments most of all I have read ignorant comments. Bob is correct we are slipping into a point of no return if we wish to remain free. I have read some idiots here who blame the jews (antisematism is alive and healthy here in the USA funny thing is they will utterly destroy others who have used the word “nigger” evidently these are high class bigots who would only hate jews I wonder are these islamic trolls? Couldn’t be right…… another says why can’t a muslim serve as president? Wel lets see here, the Islamic laws are in direct opposition to the constitutional freedoms we are guaranteed THATS why. We are months away in my opinion from either total capitulation and the ending of the constitution. Or a bloody revolution we don’t want, can’t afford, and are being backed into a corner to either fight or give up said constitution. In the last 50 years we have gone from a free country to a socialstic dictatorship such as Rome became where unlimited evil was just allowed to run rampid, Hoever it will happen much faster for us because at times in Roman history their senate tried to stop it. Ours hasn’t. Who’s fault is it? The resonsibility lies directly on OUR SHOULDERS. We allowed mystery men in office like carter, clinton and most recently the current pretender to the office Obama. We elected them WE allowed them to destroy our beloved constitution WE wanted a HUGE MONSTER of a government. Why do I say that? WE could have stopped them at any point. Instead we blamed everybody else for our troubles and ignored the facts or just did’t give enough of a sh%t to do anything, aways waiting for somebody else to step in.and so they did. The trouble was they were the people who were the haters of freedom and lovers of power and wealth.
Obama is NOT legally able to be in office because to be a natural born citizen your parents have to both be a citizen of the USA and dual citizenship is also a conflict of interest. So what did we do? Ignored the rule of law to allow him in office. After serving for 16 years I am utterly disparing of any change but the ones for the worst. WE allowed it to happen because of revisinist history, lazyness, a lack of courage, and a moral breakdown of epic proportions in this country. WE made our bed now we have to sleep in the filth WE created. Uncertainly, and without one whisp of security. We now have a monster of our own making under the bed

After all, candidates like Ron Paul will get nowhere near the Elite Inner Circle of power.
The fix is in and the 1% (Government) is planning our next fleecing, via currency collapse.

Again… What are WE going to do about it???

    • sandy daniels

Thats the 6 million dollar question isn’t it? Especially when the government is trying to push us into civil war. Here is the only thing I can think of without starting a civil war. The key is in the constitution it’sself. Your govenors can be informed by the people that you have a list of grievences. Back them all up with the constitution and the bill of rights, if each state did that or even the majority of the states it would go to the supreme courts and they would have no choice but to rule in favor of the board of govenors. Every power the federal government in the constitution is carefully described anything NOT described therein is a matter of states rights. For instance where I live even after your land is paid for, you still don’t own it you have to pay yearly taxes on it or the government takes it away from you. That is unconstitutional. The current administration is making it a crime to disagree with the “president” or wear derogatory t- shirts , bumpersticker ETC….. violation of the first amendment galore. I recall Bush having a Hitler mustache and dressed in a NAZI uniform. That was perfictly OK all the liberal socialists loved it. If you do that today you are put on a “domestic terrorism” watch list Why? The Federal government has been blackmailing the govenors for decades to further their agenda. It’s time for the govenors to say enough. If they refuse to do so… legally recall them and have a special election and remind the govenors they have to abide by the decisions of the districts representatives in the state. We may not be able to undo all the evil that has been done to the country overnight but within a year or two if the govenors do their job and refuse to ahere to these unconstitutional laws what will the federal government rule? maybe DC itself and a few eastern liberal states like the kingdom of massatwosh–s and maybe the mexican state of california.

  • Jim Crownover

You are missing something. The true elites are the ones that own the politicians and judges etc.
The elite are like icebergs. They only report about a tenth of their income. They keep the rest invested in China and such places. They don’t even report all of what they have in the Cayman Islands. Any found to be hiding money should be subject to the death penalty.
We need the ELITE tax! All the elitist aristocrats with incomes over one million dollars per year should pay a 25% ELITE tax. They say
“My kids are better than your kids. They wear two thousand dollar outfits. I’m better than you I have a yacht and four mansions. Only wealthy people are smart enough to run the government. We should not pay any taxes. Taxes are for stupid working class peasants.”

  • Steve

Spot on. There is an ever increasing dominance of the American people by the gov’t., as we stand by, and watch it happen. And, as “the day that will live in infamy” dims into the taillights, so are our freedoms diminishing on a daily basis. I appreciate your thoughts, as they expressed almost to the letter what is ever on my mind and heart. Keep up the good work, and don’t forget to vote!! LOL

    • sandy daniels

There is little freedom left, only the illusion of it. If trouble comes your way and you have to deal with it……. well YOU go to jail YOUR RIGHTS are taken permanetly and typically YOU get sued even if it’s a crackhead raping your wife…. the right thing to do is politly wait till he’s finished photograph the deed with your cell phone and quietly wait till the police show up unless of course they kill all the witnesses. Then it was just bad luck particularly if the perp is of any color than white. Then maybe you will be within the law

  • sandy daniels

I just watched the video that proves conclusivly that the votes of the people are useless and that we are NOT electing anybody The votes are rigged just like I thought. When is America gonna wake up?

  • Keith Benjamen Ehlert

it’s totally screwed up,this political correctness sh*t is pissing me off, today i was asked,no..ordered,to leave a walmart in phoenix az because i had on a t-shirt that said obama is a communist, wtf???
i had worn it all day at work,(i do hvac sheetmetal) and the manager himself,a thin geeky dweebo looking dork whined that some woman was offended, then the said dweeb told me he would call the police if i did’nt leave the store.
what the hell is wrong in this country?
my lord, this crap is out of hand, frigging libral spineless political correctness nanny state crap!

  • Joe

Wow, I felt very alone in the world until I read this. I just finished 26 years in the Air Force defending the “idea” of freedom. We have a great constitution, I wonder why our leaders don’t seem to respect it. The Supreme court is our last hope, but they don’t seem to have the guts for it. It is so very sad. I weep for a nation that could have been.

  • Joanne Johnson

This is a fascinating thread. The blame game has been played forever. That is part of politcs. I love my friends for whatever they believe, but I am blessed to have such neat friends. :) For some levity.
