Time To Plan For The Worst Rather Than Hope For The Best

Time To Plan For The Worst Rather Than Hope For The Best

Preparation for disaster, whether natural or man-made, should be as vital as any ideal found in the various practices of religion and spiritualism. Preparedness should be treated with reverence, discipline and duty. The drive for preparation should be seated in the very heart of humanity. As individuals and as a society, we should hold preparedness dear, for it is an expression of the desire for survival and the key to maintaining our inherent freedoms. Without self-sufficiency, we set ourselves up for endless failure and enslavement.

Preparedness must be approached with passionate resolve; otherwise, there is no point. Halfhearted survivalists are just as likely, if not more likely, to get themselves killed as the average oblivious urbanite and suburbanite. Unfortunately, even in the liberty movement, I have come across many halfhearted and lazy survivalists who would rather hope for the best than prepare for the worst.

The primary issue has always been one of “distraction.” Even those who are fully informed of the very real and immediate dangers to our economy and our Nation as a whole find it difficult not to get wrapped up in the concerns of the old America. Mind-numbing job environments, superficial family dramas, television hypnosis, Facebook narcissism, consumer addictions, improving one’s perceived social status: all of these things waste precious time in our daily lives, making us weak and sapping our resiliency. They encourage us toward apathy. Always, we are telling ourselves: “I did nothing today, but tomorrow will be different.”

I hear many excuses and conflicts in my work as an economic analyst and preparedness adviser. Some come from people who are already in the liberty movement and should know better. Others come from people who for one reason or another seek to dissuade us from personal preparation. Here are just a handful of the many irrational arguments against survival planning that I am confronted with on a daily basis.

Prepping Is For ‘Crazy People’ And ‘Chicken Littles’

Catastrophes occur all the time. Sometimes they are regional, sometimes they are national, and sometimes they are global. Since the age of the baby boomer, America has been spared widespread disaster for the most part, and this has bred in us a deep-rooted normalcy bias. We wander about in ignorance, thinking that tomorrow will always be just as comfortable as today and that because we have never witnessed real pain and suffering, we likely never will. To me, this attitude is far more unbalanced and insane than the forward-thinking mindset of the average prepper.

Hilariously, survivalists are called “crazy” simply because they refuse to operate on foolish assumptions like the rest of society. We know from modern historical example — from the Great Depression to Weimar Germany to the collapse of the Soviet Union, Bosnia, Argentina, Greece, etc. — that the prepared and independent live, while the rest often die. We refuse to assume, especially in light of recent events, that such calamity will not occur in the United States.

Survivalism Is Stigmatized By Unpleasant Associations

It’s true, propaganda organizations like the Southern Poverty Law Center have gone out of their way to attack and marginalize survival culture. They seek to draw false associations between us and racist, extremist domestic terrorist, blah, blah, blah. In the end, none of this matters. The SPLC is an irrelevant entity clamoring desperately for relevance, and America’s survival communities continue to grow despite their subversive activities. The truth, once recognized, has a way of steamrolling over groups of liars.

Individual preppers and potential preppers need to stop worrying about what everyone else thinks and do what they need to do to ensure the longevity of themselves and their families. Labels are only as powerful as the credence we give them.

My Family Is Not On Board

I hear this one all the time; and, really, it doesn’t matter. If you can’t take preparatory actions without constant approval from your family, then perhaps you need to examine your family dynamic rather than throwing away your survival plans. Doing the right thing is not reliant on the affirmations of a spouse or relative. Doing the right thing means taking action regardless of the obstacle, even if that obstacle is family.

It might not seem like it now, but survivalism is worth all those late-night quarrels, angry stares and sarcastic rolling eyes. If they can’t accept that preparedness is a part of your life, then that is ultimately their problem, not yours. You can continue in the knowledge that, one day, they will thank you for ignoring their ankle-biting and self-absorption.

I’m Always Too Busy

No one is too busy for preparedness. Much of what the average American does each day is designed to distract and entertain him, rather than enrich him in a useful way. The sad reality of the American lifestyle is that it revolves around the desire to avoid being alone with our own thoughts. In fact, the consumer ideology thrives on people’s need to fill the vacuum with incessant entertainment and diversion. Much of what we call being “busy” is actually a self-created matrix of illusory and shallow amusement designed to help us forget the more important and vexing matters of the world.

Turn off the TV, skip a few parties, rethink the career you hate, take your eyes off your damn iPhone for a day and consider what is really important. Stop worrying about what is comfortable and accept that very soon all the conveniences you now find yourself attached to may disappear anyway. Wean yourself off the teat of the establishment now or be forced to go cold turkey later. These are your options. Get used to it.

I Can’t Afford To Prepare

In some cases, I find this to be true. We are, after all, in the midst of an economic collapse, and many Americans are indeed falling into poverty. However, in at least half of the instances where I hear this excuse, it turns out not to be true.

Every survivalist starts out with nothing. He first builds a foundation, usually with a storage made up of essential bulk foods, and then expands. Food is the greatest Achilles’ heel of our culture. With the freight system our country has in place, grocery stores keep little to no real inventory and only a normal week’s worth of supplies on the shelf at any given time. During a crisis, this food disappears within hours, not days. Any imbalance in our freight system (like an explosion in gas prices) would result in a complete loss of national supply. A mere six weeks of disruption (as things stand today) would likely wipe out about 80 percent to 90 percent of the U.S. population through starvation.

Today, a single paycheck ($600 to $1,200) could be used to purchase enough dry bulk foods to last a family of four close to a year. Though variety may be lost, at least starvation is averted. Yet, many people, including those in the liberty movement, do not have even a year’s supply of basic staples, despite their low cost. If every family in the United States used one paycheck to purchase a food foundation, the effects of an economic collapse would be vastly minimized.

I Like The Convenience Of The City, Even Though It Will Be Dangerous During Collapse

The city is a distraction addict’s paradise. There is always something to mesmerize the senses at any given hour. On top of this, many cities are slathered with Federal funds, which the cities use to pour into beautification projects that give residents the illusion of economic improvement and progress. On a recent speaking tour in the Los Angeles area, I was reminded of the conundrum of the city environment. Millions of people on welfare and food stamps, exponential homelessness, massive potential for violence and destruction: yet they are surrounded by sharp, sleek, new shopping centers and refurbished business districts. The reality of many cities is that they are financially imploding, but on the surface everything glows like gold. This gives the average person and even some preppers a false sense of security.

If they refuse to move away from their beloved metropolis, preppers should at least have a retreat location relatively far from the area — at minimum, a day’s drive away and several days’ walking distance. If you do not have this, you are not prepared. The bottom line is: more people, more problems. Anyone who claims otherwise has never studied the collapse histories of other modernized nations.

What’s The Point Of Preparing? You’re All Going To Die Anyway

This is the nihilist argument, and it’s my favorite. Nihilists are weak-minded and weak-spirited people who realize, at least subconsciously, that they are incapable of struggle and survival. Deep down, they feel shame and self-loathing. But they would never admit to this openly. Instead, they project their weaknesses on the rest of humanity. In their mind, if they can’t survive, nobody can survive. By assuming that their weakness is everybody’s weakness, they protect their own fragile ego and avoid admitting that they are the only ones that have no chance of weathering a disaster.

Stop Living In Fear: Humanity Is Adaptable, Technology Will Save Us

This is probably the most idiotically pretentious philosophy being peddled around the liberty movement today, and it stems from what I call “delusional optimism.” You see, looking into the abyss and accepting the fact that you are about to be pushed over the edge is a difficult thing to do. Some people respond to the terror through fantasy. They imagine that the worst could not possibly happen, that there will be no consequences, that the pain of hitting the bottom will not be so bad, that in mid-drop someone will come along and teach them to fly. They search and search for that silver bullet solution that will save them from the wretched horror of full-blown social destruction.

This delusion manifests itself in many ways, but lately I have seen it coalesce in a movement toward technology worship.

Hell, I’m a fan of new technologies, too. And I certainly believe that many of them are suppressed by the establishment to keep the masses physically and psychologically dependent. That said, I am not foolhardy enough to believe that the mere presence of these technologies will save us from fiscal collapse and totalitarianism. Given time (lots of time), new technologies could help the masses break away from the mainstream system. This is time, I’m sorry to say, that we do not have. As I have discussed in recent articles on our economic situation, any tremor in the global system will be enough to send the entire edifice crashing down.

Hoping for a slow steady grind until we are able to adopt fantastic new tech is pushing the envelope of logic.

We already have the technological capability for the average person to live comfortably off the grid with electricity and other amenities we have grown fond of; yet the establishment elites are still in power, and they are still engineering numerous misfortunes. Until they are removed from power, no amount of invention is going to change a thing.

Finally, survivalists do not do what they do out of fear. We do what we do out of love. We love freedom. We love the principles of liberty that founded this country. We love our children and seek to secure their futures. We are not afraid of collapse, because we are ready for collapse. We do not need to con ourselves with false optimism and false hope, because we have already strengthened our souls with reason and courage. True survivalists are exactly what every American should be already; honorable individuals steeped in the confidence of their own ability to handle any adversity, no matter how monstrous it may be.

A tad brash with a bit of sour grapes and just a smidgen of pessimism. Still a good article. Deliberate, hard hitting but best of all, honest to the core. :D

We were told that The Kenyan improved the image of America in the World.

What a “wonderful” example for the young girls.

My husband mailed it to Spain and Italy.
Will see if they will publish them (on front page)

In case if you missed the Kenyan jungle Dance:

        This is a O’Homo dance:

As you can see, America, you can be very “proud” of the first morally bankrupt couple.

Oh, the horro! NOt! Thanks for that Alondra! Love it! The lady can dance! Bet you can’t dance like that. Jelous? Well, I can and love to; and why shouldn’t michelle and Barak dance? People like you talk of elitists and then complain when they come down to earth and act like regular people.

More racist hate and ugliness from the warped, misshapen, and pathetic non-entities who thankfully have zero power and influence in our society. Get ready for Democratic victories ad infinitum as conservative extemists and haters continue to spew their endless bile and racism over their stinging and collossal November defeat. The Orly Taitz mental syndrome continues. Maybe someday a psychiatrist will come up with a cure. But I doubt it. The Klan and Aryan Nations live on. Only now they have their own blogs, radio talk shows, and make-believe universe. What they don’t have, Thank God, is any chance for political victory.

    • Karolyn

I’m sure Europeans would love to see it. They are far more accepting and liberal than so much of American society.

Yes, the whole world has taken to your Hollywood trash, now the US is going to spread homosexuality to the whole world and the United States is going to be held accountable. As a Muslim we will bury you .

How much do you know about King Jesus and His Law Book ???

  • nc

Brandon, are things so dire that we should adopt an entirely different life style? Do you know how long certain members of civilization have prepared for the “disaster” that never came? When in history have a “well prepared group” walked out of their cave and ‘saved’ mankind from extinction?

    • cawmun cents

Since mankind isnt extinct….I am thinking it happened sometime or another.
When is a good question…..I believe they walked out of an ark,not a cave.
      But what do I know?
      Apparently very little…..

    • John

It is not about saving civilization, it’s about saving your own ass. Enjoy your slavery!

      • Nancy in Nebraska

It isn’t even about saving “your own ass”. It’s about knowing that you CAN and WILL take care of yourself and your loved ones! It’s about spending your time learning new skills and doing for others instead of sitting in front of the boob tube. It’s about creating things wih your own hands instead of waiting for someone else to create them for you. It’s about sharing and reviving old skills that have been lost. It’s about planning and organization. We all have the same number of hours in a day. The question is: do you want to spend what time you have left watching the mind numbing, hypnotizing, propagandizing, smut, trash filled, evil influencing television? Or do you want to have a life?!? This is life changing!!! Stand up and make your life count for something!!!

    • 3blenders

it’s about more than anyone of us can comprehend. It’s about eternity, returning back to basics, such as faith in God, acknowledging our pathetic human existence and constant attempts on being like God, or pretending we can rule over others. This life is nothing but a trial time, to learn.

Nancy: I turned off cable and television over 6 years ago. At first it was a fight. The family has not adjusted. Next, I think I am going to shotgun the video games out on the range for target practice.

      • 3blenders

”’family HAS adapted” to the commercial-free movie experience. We choose movies we like. No more propaganda. And our minds are free to choose

Do you realize somewhere in the world thousands starve, get butchered, are driven away from their homes while the rest of us sit behind our keyboards and comment on this forum? If you don’t want to prepare than don’t, just continue to live the way as you have but leave the rest of us alone. I pray you are not one of my neighbors!

  • boyscout

All too obvious. But, then again, I do suppose that this needs put down in black and white. Thanks for the reminder / inspiration, Brandon.

that is easier said than done. I have 45 acres away from the city. it will take me 9 hrs to get there by car. That was all I could afford. the problem is gasoline storage, and not having shelter there. It takes money. So, for those that can’t leave the city, prepare for staying put. Guns, ammo, food, water, and a lot of neighborhood friends, concrete and boulders to block the roads, and extra lumber to build lookout points. Secure your neighborhood / your city block, and prepare together. Food rationing may become a necessity. Be prepared to share…., which by the way, is a key to community survival anyway.

Lucky you, from the sounds of your words, you have enough. You should consider sharing, if you have not yet. Surviving alone is not ideal either. best of luck!

An excellent article! I hope that many more people can wake up and pull their heads out from under the sand, if not, it may be lonely world for us few (relatively) Americans who have prepared for our futures. Trust in God, but carry a Colt.

    • Sindee

“Trust God…carry a colt”…something my Daddy taught us when we lived on a South Pacific Island except we had to carry five to seven stones and a flashlight, guns were outlawed on our islands.

  • tony newbill

See how the elite who control the policies of Government are using the money to create the crisis’s that they can then point to and say its the Money system thats flawed and you will be more willing to except some other form of economic system ? ,

  • Ted Crawford

My disagreement with the survivalists is two fold; First they seem to believe that the only, or at least the most likely way to succeed at survival is in groups. I strongly disagree! The chances of survival are reduced expotentially by each member in the group. The more people involved, the less like they will avoid notice by the authorities. That therefore presumes that the group will be allowed to exist outside their control. Good luck with that!
In addition to that small problem is the sheer amount of supplies that would be necessary to stock-pile for the group to exist for even a single year!
The second major point of contention is the, appearently, short term that the survival measures will be necessary. When the collapse occurs it woun’t last for only a year, nor will it be only five or ten years. The change will be a permenant one and the transformation to any sustainable normalcy will take a generation or two to be complete! While passive resistance might delay the inevitible for a while, survivalist will sooner or later be brought to account. While active resistance provides an even shorter existance, for me, it is far more appealing
MOLON LABE, I’m far too old to beg and I’ve never intended to surrender to anyone at any time!

    • Wild Bill Alaska

Great post Ted.I agree with you on all points .I too am too old to ” bend a knee ” to any would be king like Obama or any other socialist in the political class. There are far too many elected and unelected people in positions of power who assume that their views and beliefs are the only acceptable norms.Like you and Leonidas,I too stand firm with the intention that should the powers that be decide to take what is rightfully mine through force of arms I will defend with the same mindset that is encompassed in the statement Molon Labe.

      Wild Bill

    • 3blenders

I am not in agreement with you entirely. True, I too am too old to bend my knees before oppression, but surviving alone is not worth the survival. I rather die for my community and my family than surviving alone without them. Humanity at some point has to learn to live together. Perhaps it is favorable again to live in small communities.

The Church of Jesus Christ LDS is one of those. We live in so-called wards, a community of about 300 to 400 people consisting of about 150 or so families. There are about 10 to 15 wards of those in one stake. They are well organized. People are not just stocking up supplies, but are skilled (and willing to share) in many different things. The Church owns millions of acres of agricultural land. It’s structure and participation by its members allows for survival, and rebuilding commerce within a few months of a collapse.

You should also consider the ‘religious’ factors. In tough times, most people start clinging onto God again. History has proven it. When people do well, they forget God and start thinking there is no God. In tough times they return to the good old ‘FAITH’. You may not like it. But it is what it is and has been always for thousands of years. And that faith that these communities develop has always helped them through.

Sure, people die. Big deal. We all do. However, if you believe in a life after death, or better yet, a continuous life beyond our perception of death being the end of all living, it changes your perspective. Big deal. I don’t care if I die. I know there is something seriously bigger than myself and all of us.

It’s pathetic that many people fight for their power retention and the survival as they know it here on Earth when right underneath their eyes is something much greater.

By the way, I like this too: Aut Pax Aut Bellum (Either piece or war divided (or created) by the Sword).

We’re all doomed, doomed, doomed! And extremist Libertarians can’t understand why their movement has so little power in our society. What a pathetic and cowardly group of paranoids not patriots. Past generations unjustly consigned these folks to asylums. Now at least they can roam free, free to to poison the lives and future of their children. There are a couple of home-schooled, teenage kids of survivalists in my town. They can’t wait to get away from their crazed parents and join the real world like the alienated children of the Amish. Good luck to them. But it’s not easy to escape from a cult especally one that your own parents have fallen for, hook, line, sinker, and bank account. It’s really sad.

    • FreedomFighter

Actually prep is a way life for our past generations.

It takes a brave man or woman to go against the norms of society nomatter how stupid those norms be — Noah and his ark is an expample.

In fact those that did not prep were considered crazy, and nobody locked them up, just let them die or helped them.

What is the real world? North Korea, Chinese slave goods? Dirty citys full of crime? Ruthless people that care not for each other? TV(Laugh).

We have a large number of Amish here where I live and those people are kind considerate hard working honest, even if some of the children want a different life it is there choice nobody stops them.

The cult of Liberalism is a death cult, murdering unborn children, death panels killing the elderly, conformitism to accept degraded morality, lies, backbiting and domination of society to progressive rule – see bloomburg for an example, enslavement.

Leave the cult of Liberalism Mark, it holds only enslavement to government and death.

its easier to just go along with the daily circus the busy media-driven commercialized world offers. It takes courage to look at the reality of history repeating itself. The future is not easy to predict. All we have is the past to look for patterns and trends. The financial market does it that way, heck, every company predicts and forecasts that way as well. And yet, nobody really ever knows for sure what the future holds.

Let’s hope you are right that we are all crazy and we are overreacting with our preparation panic. If one can afford the preparation “just in case for emergency”, then let them. I am prepared as good as I was able to and my wallet allowed me too. If or when the shelves empty in the stores, I rather remember on my panicking times when tried to scramble all cash to buy up food, guns and ammo, than at that very moment fight with people in the store over the last can of beans.

Preparation is common sense. The government prepares. Look at all the FEMA concentration camps erected with barbed wire around and within millions of stacked plastic coffins. Cities and Municipalities prepare. The Home Land Security bought 7000 AR 15 Personal Defense Weapons and a bunch of ammo. The Federal Reserve and the too-big-too-fail banks are stacking up on Gold and Silver. Ever Central Bank in the Country has increased its pm cache.

I think, if you look at the trend, Mark, what’s going on today, you better reevaluate your priorities and get on the wagon. You don’t want to miss that train. Don’t panic. Just do what you can. Most of all, build lasting relationships with family, friends, and neighbors. These are the ones that will get your back.

      don’t have to become a fanatic…

  • The Christian American

I can appreciate Brandon’s sentiments but how do you prepare for a takeover by godless socialist hell bent on establishing a communist style government in America?

How do you prepare for an utter collapse of the dollar? It’s only at an barrel of gun that the dollar is recognized internationally and we are using it because we have nothing else to use. There is ZERO backing the paper dollars that are in circulation and those that the Federal Reserve is printing now. The paper we use for our day to day transactions is not the real money. The stuff, gold, silver, a similar commodity that the paper can be redeemed into is the real money. In God we trust. All others pay hard cash. Government wants us to replace God with them.

Should we arm ourselves against our own government as buys billions of rounds of ammunition, 2,700 light tanks for the streets of America, thousands of weapons, writes edicts and decrees to strip the people of their ability to defend themselves from the godless socialists. If we don’t organize against America’s enemies, they will pick us off at their pleasure. The best defense is a strong offense and we need to be offensive on all the fronts where our Constitution is being attacked. We can no longer cower to the obvious wrongs being perpetrated on us.

The histories of other countries tells us everything will be rationed to those that are poltically correct recieving the lions share. We’re getting to the point where a gun will be required for survival. “Give me liberty or give me death” because who would want to live in godless socialist Communist America?. When the colonist were faced with the same situation on Bunker Hill, they let out a battle cry “No King but Jesus”, shot down their kings soldiers and commenced the revolution.

The only thing positive about the situation is that the Lord is returning and ending all this. John 3:16 is our hope for the future now and forever.

      Amen brother, Proverbs 22:3
Yes, the bible says there is going to be a war with the saints Rev. 13:7. If the Church is still here or some will be taken the other left. Or the church will go into the tribulation for a short time!

      Either way, be prepared;

Preparation for disaster, wheter natural or man-made, should be as vital as any ideal found in the various practices of the Bilble teachings refering to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and guidence in the Holy Spirit. Preparedness should be treated with reverance, disipline and duty, as was by the fore-fathers who settled this great nation of ours. Joseph in teh old testament prepared and was given power over all of Egypt by the Pharoah to save them.
The drive for preparation should be seated in the very heart of all Christians. As individuals like Noah and Lot and as a society of believer’s in Christ Jesus, we should preparedness dear, for it is the desire for survival, self preseravtion and the key to maintaining our inherent freedoms, inanlienable rights given by GOD himself. Without self-sufficiency, we set ourselves up for failure and ensalvement form an evil communist muslim rogue nation.

My answer: If you are a God fearing person, pray at night as if everything depends on God. And during the day, work as if everything depends on you.

      T C A,,,
Brandon’s article is on point and well Written,,,BUT,,,he left out The Bible and some “”Facts”” in The Bible that TCA needs to know,,,that is ,,,in the book of John , read chapter 1 first , then go to John 3:5,,,then John 3:21–25 which harmonizes with Act 2;38,,,Accomplish Acts 2:38 properly and you will have complete “”Salvation””… Otherwise you may only be a “”Judeo-Christian,,,NOT,
a real Christian PER The Book…. I don’t know,,,NOR,, do you know when King Jesus is going to show up on Planet Earth,,, BUT,,, what We do know is what The Bible says He is waiting for all Christians to do,,, one BIG item He is waiting for you to do “””to hasten His return””is at Matthew 6:9–13,,,you need to do this everyday at least,,, odds are 80 to 99% of you have NOT done Matthew 6:9–13 for weeks if not months…. SO??? you are WAY behind on any “Worse case””
planning… Remember King Jesus only had a “few good Men””,Because King Jesus and One good Man make a “”Majority” …… Meanwhile………………………….
Praise King Jesus for Salvation and Healing… Acts 2:38 is salvation according to 1 Peter 3:21….

The 7 P’s, Prior Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance. One can apply this tidbit into all of our daily lives, everything from romance to cross country trips. So why do people get in an uproar when one plans for the event of a disaster?

It seems to me that many Americans have become masters at simply ignoring anything that fails to make them feel good. Including warnings that things are likely going to change, and not for the better.

It is incredible how powerful “HOPE” can be. Hope can even be a drug. It can even replace the action of “DOING” or preparing….aka “Complacency”. I saw a thousand + Freedom Rights enthusiasts during a rally last weekend. I was stunned by the BS fed to them. Things like Politicians would talk about what they will do next year and in 2016…. Everybody was in a trans of ‘I want to believe, I want to have hope that things are going to get better’. At that point I realized the hopelessness possibility: “What if they get worse before it gets better?”. We really got to wake up, and most of all, we have got to wake up our neighbors, the people of the United States of American. They are living in total complacency. Hope has become a drug and America is addicted to it without doing anything for themselves. People just hope that ‘someone else’ will fix it.

      • Jeanette

Yes, indeed. And how many Germans stayed in Germany because they were hopeful, only to be murdered by Adolph Hitler?

There is NOTHING WRONG with the concept of preparedness in all things. It is wisdom. Anyone with half a brain can tell that a little stash of your most precious desires will help you through your own personal hell. …even if that hell is as sad as a weekend of movies and beer. If you are an alcoholic you are already used to your preparedness. A chain smoker has always a few boxes of drag somewhere stashed away. Why not considering cleaning up and stashing the right things that will last?

For example, one should consider these things to stock up: Food for hunger, Books for education, Guns and ammo for defense, Friends to hold on to and share with, Family to love, a good relationship with God, and Neighbors to protect (just to name a few of many).

A true prepper has courage. He knows no fear. He just prepares for the worst and hopes for the best. Just like anyone should have savings rather than credit cards, it is common sense to put a little of everything away for harder times…

One of the best books you can get is the John Franklin Letters, 1957 addition. John Franklin is writing to his uncle about things that are happening and what he’s doing to counter them. It was written at a time that the Minutemen movement was going strong.

One of my favorite books is “Documents of American History”. It includes our Constitution, all Amendments, and also the Declaration of Independence, and what led up to it. Books of religion, Nutritional Healing, Medicinal Plants, Human Anatomy, how to survive, fixing things,… all the basics, even how to butcher a cow or raise rabbits. …. things like that are in my library. I have read James Richards, James Wesley Rawles, John Ross, and much more. And to learn to understand Psychopaths, I even own a First Edition “The Rise And Fall of the Third Reich”, 1960 William L Shier (Simon Schuster). This book really depicts Nazi sarcasm and horror. It helps to understand what sick bastards are capable of. It makes you wonder about FEMA.

I always say to those who smirk at prepping with the same reply. I know you think prepping is a waste of time, yet one of us is right & one of us is wrong. If your theory is right about prepping, my life will just keep rolling along as it normally does. If my theory is right about prepping, will your life keep rolling along as it normally did ? This usually ends the conversation between us but it does give them something to think about. I hope ! We can’t save everyone & some don’t want to be saved till it’s to late. Those are going to be the looters or worse.

Great article and yes 90% of the Sheeple will be gone after 90 days if the food supply stops, including most of my family. Most of my bothers and sisters are complete sheeple, and it makes me sick, and they will not listen to reason. It makes me sad to know they will not survive when and what is about to hit “We the People”…!!!

Just coming in on the news … people in California are getting $50,000 and $100,000 bills from the state for “taxes owed” – because the state has imposed a retroactive tax. These people were paid up before the bills arrived.

I wonder how long it’s going to take the other broke states before they follow suit? And depending on how much unrest this causes in California, how long will it take Obama to declare martial law, and under the NDAA, take everything we own, other than 3 days’ worth of food (which is about all that they can’t legally take)?

When the food runs out, the zombies will roam looking for your food. Prepare accordingly.

    • Jeanette

Unfortunately, some of the zombies will have tanks, bombers, fighter jets, missiles, etc. I don’t know how one can prepare accordingly unless one has enough money to build very expensive bunkers like the ones that undoubtedly exist to protect Obama & Buds.

Agenda 21 is just a waste of taxpayers ‘money, any city that buys into the communist influnced organizations BS, only are looking for”free money”. In turn the federal facist/ communist beltway fks will turn the control of the USA, over to the anti-Usa UN pukes. All close friends of the marxist muslim and dumbocrap party elits. Worrying about a melt down the economy and possible food shortages, damn that is right out of Karl Marx and othe sorry azzes dictators, first registrations of everyone with a firearm, next will come confiscation of weapons or supposed weapons. Right now the world is so short of ceral grain wheat, barley, millet , and milo and corn. Taxpayers pay 85 billion a years to idle millions of former farm ground acres, that pays landowners to produce nothing but weeds and wildlife, that even if harvested cost the hunter $100 a pound. Of course Obozo had taxpayers pay that KOBI beef, imported for his marxist buds and crashers. Our livestock production is lower than in the early 1940′s when FDR killed millionsof livestock and buried them when citizens were starving. That was a early test of Agency 21, next came Dept of Ag, whose first Sec was a registered communist and beleived in USSR styled government controlled food production, which the marxist muslim endorses. Who also doesn’t beleive in private property rights and government should own all land. Go back to the year before he was elected and the years he has been in office.
