These Kids Today

These Kids Today

It’s been three weeks since voters across the nation spanked President Barack Obama and his tinfoil hat brigadiers. Normally, when a wayward child — or unresponsive political party — earns the back of their parents’ — or voters’ — hand, the time in the bedroom gulag is best spent reflecting on the reasons for the banishment.

Would that soon-to-be-ex House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and her pals were as easily disciplined as the average 8-year-old. Sadly, during the time that has passed since Election Day, the Democrat Party has shown no inclination to learn the lesson. In fact, if I had reacted to a paternal upbraiding the way the Democrats have to the electorate’s belt, my fortunes would have dimmed considerably. If the Democrats continue joyriding in the family car and leaving their beer cans where Mom and Dad Voter can find them, they’ll find they end up a lot more than grounded in 2012.

Last week, the Democrats voted to keep Pelosi their House leader. Given that nearly every Republican who ran in 2010 dropped her name on their Democrat opponents the way Bugs Bunny dropped anvils on Yosemite Sam, you would think the Dems would have banished her to the far corner of Congress for a couple of years of timeout. Outside Obama himself, Pelosi is likely the most deservedly identified and reviled face of the Democrat party. The idea of the Democrats emerging from their electoral beating and immediately voting to keep the arrogant architect of their own demise is “Let’s keep Napoleon after Waterloo” logic. Even the French are more tactically sound.

For her own part, Pelosi didn’t exactly step out of character. A week after the Democrats’ disaster, she remarked on her party’s audio talking-points service,  National Public Radio:

“We didn’t lose the election because of me.”

In a sense, she’s correct. The rest of her party could have dumped her like a girlfriend who won’t give up the remote during football season. But they let Pelosi keep the TV tuned to The View.

Returning Pelosi to the top of the pecking order was merely the opening salvo in the Democrats’ pinhead-palooza. Last week, Ms. “Swamp-drainer” was pushed below the fold by The Swamp himself. Democrat Party leader Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.), until recently the chairman of the enormously powerful House Ways and Means Committee, was caught dead to rights on 40 years of corruption, tax evasion and abuse of the public trust. Former civil rights legend-turned race-baiting liar John Lewis even showed up to lend Charlie his support. Lewis’ statement would have been more meaningful had he not opened by acknowledging that he had no clue what the trial was about. He then drew a moral parallel between the repulsive Rangel and the victims of South African apartheid. And the lame-duck, Democrat-controlled House, suitably chastened by the electorate’s reprimand regarding their perverse corruption, dropped the hammer… and picked up a feather instead.

Censure for Rangel — and even then the vote wasn’t unanimous. They have a word for the consequences faced by a non-40-year-Democrat-veteran-of-the-House, should they dip into the cookie jar like ol’ Charlie: prison.

In the midst of Rangel’s kangaroo court, Representative Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-Texas) blew kisses at MSNBC‘s late-night laughingstock “Special” Ed Schultz. Jackson-Lee, another of the Democrat Party’s standard-bearers, once served on the House Science Subcommittee, which deals with NASA. During one briefing,  Jackson-Lee — whose Texas 18th District includes NASA’s Johnson Space Center — asked whether the Mars Pathfinder would be visiting the flag left on the moon by the Apollo astronauts. Er… no, Jackson-Lee. Marvin the Martian demolished the Apollo site with his PU-36 Explosive Space Modulator.

Jackson-Lee left her interstellar interrogatives out of her makeout session with Schultz, instead choosing to focus on recent comments by radio supervillain Rush Limbaugh. With the simpering Schultz leading her by the nose, Jackson-Lee scurried to the safety of smearing Limbaugh with the specious claim of racism. Jackson-Lee, who sees racism in virtually every situation which doesn’t work to her advantage (she once claimed congressional hearing time limits were a racist conspiracy), even assigned victim-of-racism status to the pasty-faced Schultz:

“You’ve been called Sergeant Schultz. Is that because you have a name that may be ethnically connected to being a sergeant? I’m not sure what that is. I find that insulting as well.”

Stand with Sheila: Stop the oppression of Sitcom-Americans today.

Three weeks since America sent Congressional Democrats to their rooms, and clearly, the kids have not learned their lesson. Most galling of all: with the liberal bad seed running amok, the whole country has to go to bed without dessert.

A body slam and a triple luts Mr. Crystal. If only the country will see it this way come election time. We have seen recently a kind of circle the wagons mentality out of the democrats(with a few exceptions). Their friends in the press are haveing to spin at warp speed to try to cover tracks for them. But I am afraid without a through spanking in 2012. We might just have to put up with alot more than temper tantrums. More like steal the car keys and run away. So we must continue to pound them on issue after issue in public to catch the attention of the part time voter(the leve pullers)And show these thugs for what they really are. Spolit bad mannered children with a me complex. Mike L.

    • HFlashman

I know i know..right wing demogaugory, lies, twisted facts, name calling and spliced videos misrepresenting wrds and statements…none of that was tossed at the Dems.

Ironically, as the GOP was busy attacking and degrading the economic policies of this administration as it faced the worst economic situation since the Dperession…brought to us by eight years of GOP misrule … the statistics coming out post election show the Recession ending, numbers imporving across the board, TARP being paid back, we’ll make a few shekels on the auto bailout, and still having about $300 billion left to be allocated from the Stimulus package.

This across the board improvement in the economy will, no doubt, be cited by the GOP in 2012 as “evidence’ their “plan” worked. Naturally so since they cannot stand by the truth and facts that it was the administration’s policies which brought us out of the crisis and ventually stemmd the bleeding.

Now…how y’all gonna be feeling when you come to the realization that the GOP leadership is drinking the champagne knowing that once again, they proved their following is easily misled and fooled and that fear, hate, and lying works as campaign tools …

      • Warrior

It’s still hard to believe there are people in America that buy into the progressive’s BS. Do you want rulers or representatives? That’s the question each American should be asking.

        • HFlashman

Warrior…out of what I wrote…what is it specifically do you state is in error? And what do you have to cite showing it to be in error?

I don’t expect you to answer…you just want to bit*h and complain because you bought into the lies and BS of your masters who have told you what to think. Just because you need to be programmed, don’t assume the remainder of the nation is similar.

So until you can come up with valid data showing what I writ to be in error…go back to your mama because your whining isn’t getting you anywhere…

          • Allan Halbert

What is in error is what is always in error. When you state that all of our problems are because of eight years of Republican control, you assume that most people believe that and are robots. “Most people” know both major parties are complicit. Without knowing every detail they see the problems. They want honesty, competency, and accountability, and they support a basis of traditional values. They don’t want to throw out the system. They want the behavior of the people they put trust in to change. It may help to think in those terms instead of assuming that generalizations about 2000-2008 are going to make any difference.

          • JoMama

If I said it once – I’ve said it a million times – SCREW YOU, hflashman!!

        • Bus

If the economy was improving maybe he would be able to find a job…but then he would have to give up his unemployment comp.

      • Angel Wannabe

        Hflashman___same SH*T different sand box!!!

        • independant thinker

          Luv it Angel.

      • 45caliber

        flash:

You mean the Dems have an economic policy? As far as I can see, they seem to want to destroy the economy rather than repair it. But perhaps they are only making mistakes instead.

        • Warrior

Yep, print and give away. Repeat.

      • marvin

Hes here to do exactly what he just did. Change the tone and subject of someones comment. If he can get us talking on an unrelated topic he will. Mike L.

          • JeffH

Mike L, that’s what I’ve been saying all along. To ignore the man is to “censure” the man. Even ole HFlash leaves when no one plays with him.

      • HFlashman

Noted that not one response was denying the economic numbers that came out post election. Noted not one response denied the right wing demogaugory and campaigns of lies, misrepresetnations, and distortions relying on fear, hate, and anger. Noted not one denied the GOP leadershp drinking champagne at the success of the strategies of lies, mistruths and distortions. And especially noted…not one denied the fact of the matter…in less than two years, this administration has brought us back from the brink of economic depression brought to us couesy of GOP misrule.

Thanx for making my points …

        • Angel Wannabe

Hflashman, I can’t believe I’m actually saying this, But it did bring us back from the brink, it woke the American people up, to bring US BACK FROM THE “BRINK” OF SOCIALISM!

          • HFlashman

Angel …. how sad you can’t remember the mess we were in on January, 2009. How no solutions were being offered by the GOP except to say ‘no’ to everything. And how far we have advanced from those dark days of post GOP administration.

            Very sad.

          • Angel Wannabe

Hflashman, YOU LIE!!!!____your boss said “that the GOP made the mess, he said he didn’t wanna here them talking!____

          • Jana

            Flash,
You are such a typical liberal, twisting the truth, lies, exaggerations. We all know why the economy went down, and it was because the libs were trying so hard to give everyone a huse to live in whether they could pay for it or not. Thanks to Barney Franks and his cohorts.

          • Jana

They were trying to give everyone a HOUSE not huse. moan

        • Eric Bischoff

Flashman, they never have the guts or the intelligence to respond to facts and have a dialog. They immediately circle the wagons and attack with insults and meaning less dribble. They’re so childish!

          • Jeep

Spot on Eric, them there Progressive Dems are circling the wagons and attacking with insults…why sho’ nuff, it’s their best play!

          • Vigilant

Nice try at the propaganda, Bisch. You’re talking to people here who have seen the bogus facts and leftist assertions you and Flush have tried with no success. We have on countless occasions provided factual and logical disussions for which you and Flush had no reasonable answer. We’re getting tired of this broken record.

You treat every day as if you’ve had a brain dump and need to keep repeating over and over the same tripe as yesterday. Repeating it to yourselves doesn’t make it come true. And until you actually think about the facts we have presented to you in the past, you’re condemned like Bill Murray in “Groundhog Day” to keep doing it over until you get it right.

          • Jana

Vigilant we cannot believe anything a Communist would say. He has shown his true colors RED.

          • HFlashman

            Replying to Vigilent….

I must have missed those times you gave facts to back up your wild maniac assertions…oh wait…you haven’t. My mistake…you wrote it as a fact, as such it was a lie. Vigilent..you truly adhere to the modern day GOP profile of robotic follower…

          • Vigilant

Well, Flush, you’re not only a liar but a DAMNED liar!

          • Vigilant

And you most certainly DID miss those times, which were many and eloquent.

        • Allan Halbert

You don’t seem to get it. Conservatives on this site don’t depend on what Republican leaders say for what to think. Sometimes we agree with them, and sometimes we don’t. LP’s have chosen the path of convincing everyone they are victims and entitled to other people’s money. Ironically, dissatisfactions that conservatives have with the Republican Party are NEVER reflected on or used to correct advantage by LP’s. Conservatives end up being a silent third party that neither the Democrats or Republicans work well with.

          • Jana

            Allen,
EXACTLY. Thank you for a very good post.

        • Sparks

Flashman, Who are you really? Your spelling and sloppy talk changed abruptly when “no one wanted to play with you”. Is there any difference between Socialism and Communism? No. This admin essentially dumped the Constitution when elected and do not care to listen to the people. RE: Pelosi, and many morrrreee.

      • Angel Wannabe

HFLASHMAN _”and lying works as campaign tools” …_-You guys oughta know, your professionals at it!

      • (WIA) Wild Indian in Action

Hey FLUSHman; Demogaugory? I see that by reading your Progressive Marxists Democrapola, that you haven’t been examined by your proctologist, you know? your cranial, rectal insertion TARP being paid back, your “como se llama” you don’t pay your credit card debt by charging it to another credit card. Your Democrapola economics equates to robbing peter to pay paul. Now be polite, and go F&%$ yourself and get a job.

        • http://foundersrevolution.blogspot.com/ Patriot1776

Its odvious that flashman is a hack we would do best to just ignore the little child until his plea for attention wavers.

      • JJ

HFlashman what are you about 12 or a life long welfare recipient. You talk about specifics yet you don’t use them, you call people that you can’t defend yourself against names. You say tarp is being paid back, I guess if I owed a 100 bucks and payed a quarter I could say I was paying it back. China now owns 18 percent of GM paid for with inflated American dollars. You call this nightmare of an economy a recover, you make it sound as if 300 billion left from the stimulus is a great accomplishment. By the way the only reason there is 300 bn left is because your puppet master needs it for his next bribing session. I don’t think there is a cure for you, but there is a way out. Remember Judas.

      • old white guy

flash, do you have any critical analysis skills at all?

      • verlsinko

ASK YOURSELF, ‘ARE YOU BETTER OFF NOW THAN YOU WERE 5 YEARS AGO’ ?

    • Jon

The arrogance and overt disobedience of the electorate’s will is the hammer that ushers in the complete and utter downfall of the democratic socialist party. Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Boxer et al. They were given a unique opportunity after being soundly defeated in the 2010 elections to prove to the electorate that they heard the people’s will. Supporting Pelosi for minority leader and failing miserably to properly deal with Rangle were simply proof positive the electorate means nothing to them after election day. Their arrogant defiance of the people’s will regarding immigration and Obama care are further proof that they are more than out of touch with reality. They have an agenda for socialism they refuse to abandon in the face of massive political failure. It is the arrogance of ignorance that will seal their fates. Their agenda, WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO STAND”.

      • 45caliber

For some unfathomed reason, the politicians in Washington (both sides) seems to have an unspoken rule that the longer someone is there, the less punishment they get for doing something wrong. And, if they are of the same party, they need to really go light on the nut.

Personally, I feel that if someone steps over the line, he/she goes regardless of how long they have been there or what party they belong to. And I consider the betrayal of the trust of the people who voted for them should mean harsher sentences than if they had been discovered in civil life.

But I suppose most of the polticians actually admire them and consider that anyone who managed to get away with breaking the laws for a long time deserves a good place in the sun.

        • (WIA) Wild Indian in Action

  • Angel Wannabe

Good Article!__And well put!_-Some kids ya put in the corner for punishment and they learn the error of they’re ways, at least why they’re standing there anyway. The three week old election wasn’t necessarily about the Repubs, but it was about taking the reigns away from the Democratic run away horse!__We didn’t like the way they were driving or where we were going!!___ But How they quickly forget!__I liked Pelosi’s statement, “the Dems didn’t lose the election because of me”, I say they lost it in spite of her!__Even if they, the Dems, do slide to the middle now, it’ll be all a show. Nothing they do will be trusted. And folks we need to remember this!!!!_ They’ve screwed themselves out of a job for a while, come January and hopefully again in 2012. The Progressives posting on here are fired up, but temper tantrums only garner attention from the real deal for a few minutes, for me they’re temper tantrums don’t change a damn thing!

    • eddie47d

It was the Republicans who were acting like children, during and especially after the 2008 elections. They had many temper tantrums and when the elections ended they took their toys(ideas) and went to their rooms. They refused to come down for dinner and participate with the rest of the family. Now these same Republicans want the Democrats to stand in the corner while they go out and play.

      • Angel Wannabe

Not that anyone noticed (except you eddie)__Obama was too busy trying to fulfill his role of God!

        • verlsinko

Do you know the difference between GOD and obama? GOD doesen’t think he is obama.

…keep on believin’ it and keep on sayin’ it…always a friendly reminder for the rest of us…

      • 45caliber

eddie: I seem to remember Oblama saying, when offered some ideas by the GOP, “But I WON!”

        • Warrior

I thought it was “you lost”

        • Angel Wannabe

yep 45__ Obama told McCain “the election’s over” and McCain retorted, “You remind me of that everyday!”_ I Wonder How “WE WON” feels now?

eddie 68d, The party of no, is in, you and all of the Democrapola can go to the back of the bus and be polite and go , by the way your buddies the Viet Cong need you I hear they want to invade your Utopia Cuba.

Why would the Kenyan stop to reflect on anything. He’s unbelievably arrogant AND he has his marching orders.

    • bp

Right! Kenyan born (maybe?) Indonesian Muslim is the first President to have an agenda to destroy the United States of America. May he be defeated by a LANDSLIDE in 2012.

  • Dagney

Rush calling Ed “Schultz” “Sargeant Schultz” is genius. The media hears, sees, and speaks no evil when it comes to the left. That is exactly what Sargeant Schultz was famous for in Hogan’s Heroes. If what the prisoner’s were doing were to his advantage, Sargeant Schultz would proclaim, “I hear nothing! I see nothing!”. A very, very apt name for anyone in the media!

  • Teresa

You know “as children” we try to teach right from wrong in hopes that they will better themself..in hopes that our congress will do whats best for “US” the American People. But there comes a time when you know the persons character and you know they will not change no matter how many spankings you give them or how much you discipline them…they just will not change…they are who they are! We can hope, but we as christians KNOW the only real way to change. Anyway, the choice WE as Americans now have to make is what do WE do, where do WE go. WE keep our voices heard, we keep pressure and focus on where it needs to be..OUR CONSTITUTION, before it is completely destroyed. WE STAND TOGETHER! We keep watching our congress, every single one of them, our judges, our local law enforcement agencies, our senators…WE stay informed! We know how congress works, so we keep pushing!

  • JKO

While I do agree with your article I do believe Charlie is a scapegoat. Many, many in Washington have done the same, they just did not go to trial. Fienstein, Jackson-Leigh, and even our lovely Treasury Secretary, and even the Clintons have had questions put forth about them. And yes there were Reps as well. Charlie just happens to be the fall guy this time. If we really want to get into corruption charges then Pelosi and Reid should be out front and should be impeached, not cesured.
Let’s not forget the lovely banking scandel of the 80′s. Who actually had any kind of punishment at all?? Oh yeah, no one.

    • Angel Wannabe

I Agree JKO, The machine picks and chooses who stands and falls!__The same way with Nixon, While I don’t hink what went on was right, Nixon didn’t do anymore than the rest in Washington have done, only thing is, he got caught!

  • Doc Sarvis

The tea party movement is not grassroots. It is a well funded affilliation run by rich interests (mostly oil interests) to drum up false claims against the current administration (since it was looking to energy alternatives that we need).

We are putting the party that created much of our financial problems back in office and punishing the one who was doing what it said it would in the 2008 elections.

    • rosina

      RUBBISH!
The problems started in Carter and Clinton era.
carried out by the demoncraps along with the Acorn shifty lot.
      Who allowed the easy mortgages?
Who allowed everyone WHO COULD NOT PAY the ability to buy a house?
Who headed HUD and allowed up to 50% of the poorest to buy a house they could not afford?
Who loves unions and wants to unionise every polic officer, fireman, etc. in the country to enrich the Union bosses so they can continue to bankroll the demoncraps?
I could go on and on but that is sufficient to diabuse you of the notion that the GOP allowed all the above.
Besides, in the last 50 years who MOSTLT ruled Congress, not the GOP I can assure you.

      • HFlashman

        RUBBISH!
The problems started in Carter and Clinton era. [LOL..and skipped Reagan and Bush I..and Bush II didn't have anything to do with it]

carried out by the demoncraps along with the Acorn shifty lot. [got anything other than unsupported opinion on this? Naw...didn't think so. Facts get in the way of your whine don't they?]

Who allowed the easy mortgages? [ Banks. So if the regs allow a bad decision to be made, ad the bad decision is made by private industry...it's the Dems fault for giving that option to the private secotr. If the option to make a bad decision is taken away, then it's too much gov't ontrol. Wow...simply an amazing line of logic...lol]

Who allowed everyone WHO COULD NOT PAY the ability to buy a house? [ Banks. The Dems issued new legislation which allowed bad decisions to be made by the private secotr. no one held a gun to the heads of bank executives to make bad loans.]

Who headed HUD and allowed up to 50% of the poorest to buy a house they could not afford? [ Good question. I didn't know HUD guaranteed those type of loans. Oh wait...they didn't guarantee them.]

Who loves unions and wants to unionise every polic officer, fireman, etc. in the country to enrich the Union bosses so they can continue to bankroll the demoncraps? [apparently people you despise...the working people of America]

I could go on and on but that is sufficient to diabuse you of the notion that the GOP allowed all the above. [only if you knew what the heck you were talking about. the only thing you proved was that you actually don't know what you are talking about]

Besides, in the last 50 years who MOSTLT ruled Congress, not the GOP I can assure you. [and we did darn well when the GOP was not ruling Congress or the WH. The problems came about when the robber baraons were allowed in the vault.]

        • Another Vet

Flashman, you need to put something around your head because your brains are falling out! The more you flap your mouth, the more obvious it is that it is YOU that know little/nothing about your topics – by the way, FACT: The Dems have controlled the House for SIX YEARS! Idiot. Barney Frank said (you may/may not know who this is) “There is no problem with Fannie Mae-Freddie Mac, it is a shell-game by the Republicans…” repeatedly, when confronted – on the house floor – with the loan guarantee policies of his department. FACTS!!!!!

        • Michael J.

          HFlashman,
Constantly clammering to uphold the tired ole party line. Long since disproven, layed out in intricate detail by conservatives in the know.
When will you grow tired of defending this maniacal muslim? When the checks stop coming perhaps? Or when the teachings of Cloward & Piven have suceeded in overwhelming the system and our country is in ruin?

What happened to you to wish the worst upon your own country and countrymen? Certainly you can’t actually believe the things you post. In spite of being handed the worst defeat in fifty years, the democrats are still marching to the progressive drum beat like a herd of buffalo headed for a cliff. Confidently grazing on the inpending agenda of the messiah like un-aware dinosaurs the day before the asteroid hit.

Wake-up, throw off the blinders and join the ranks of enlightened democrats that finally see the progressive movement for what it is. A counter productive cult hellbent on the destruction of capitalism and the American way of life.

    • Tea Party member

Doc Sarvis, You are wrong. The tea party meetings that I have been too have included poor, rich, old, young, black, white, asian, ect. with the only common thread being love of country and desire to return to constitutional values. A fact is that since Obama has come into office, his policies and expenditures have quadrupled. OBama has spent more than the sum of all the other presidents before him. Bush was bad, but Obama is nightmare for our country. Our country is on the brink of disaster. We can no longer fight over GOP and liberal. It needs to be what will bring us back under the values and ideals our country was born under… the US Constitution. Obama (and Bush to an extent) have no regard for the countries history, and values – both are power hungry and care about themselves, not the country. I was a life long democrat and embarresed by the corruption and manipulation of my party. There are good people out there, I suggest Senator Jim DeMint for president. Someone who will stnad up against the greed of earmarks. That is what we need. Doc Sarvis, quit making excuses for Obamam…. Obama has harmed our country far greater than Bush. Our country can’t take much more.

      • Doc Sarvis

I seriously do not doubt that you and others in the tea party love your country as I do. Please read the following piece of work regarding how the movement was manipulated:

        http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2010/08/30/100830fa_fact_mayer?currentPage=all

        • Tea Party member

I would like to suggest that every article has a bias, the New Yorker included, although is was interesting reading, it doesn’t mean that this fully integrates throughout and reflective of the whole tea party movement. I have also read where those with opposing views have attempted to send people into Tea Party moevments to act in manners not reflect of the party with intent to damage and misrepresent the movement. To find a thread of truth, it is necessary to read a wide variety of articles from different sources. I find it interesting to read the media of how Countries outside of America are viewing and analzying our current state of affair.

What I think is interesting is your comment of “I am sure you love our country as I do.” Perhaps this is the true root of the issue or division that should be the focus for more meaningful discussion. What does country mean and what should america look like. From my perspective, the fight isn’t between GOP and Democrats – neither are without corruption and faults. This is a fight of wether or not our country will remain Free with the Christian Values and Freedoms the US COnstitution was based on and that many men died for us to have OR do we turn our country into a debt ridden, entitlement culture, where we have the governement tell us how to dress, how to eat, what to drive, what to read, what to believe, ect…. that is liberalism, socialism, and everything other than being free. The tea party people I know, want the first choice for our country.
I guess the true issue is what vision do you and others have for America? Knowing history repeats itself, researching back and seeing how the liberal, socialistic, and progressive agendas have worked for other countries, I’ll stick with freedoms and our Constitution. My favorite quote ” A government big enough to give you everything you need is Big enough to take away everything you have.”

          • Jana

            Tea Party member,
The progressives want to believe so badly that the TEA Party was set up by someone with an ulterior agenda. I guess that is because the progressives have such an evil agenda such as turning our country into a communist country, that they can’t comprehend the fact that we all don’t have the same meaness, evilness, and manipulative impulses that these progressives do.
Praise God that someone with some money helped get this organization off the ground. It takes money to advertise so people will realize that they aren’t alone. This is a trick of the progressives to make middle America think they are isolated, the only ones knowing that this country is heading in the wrong direction.
Well Hallelujah, their plans have been foiled and they are crying foul, they are still trying to manipulate the outcome.

          • Angel Wannabe

Jana, Well said, The progressives need to understand they’ are NOT the only ones who have money___ there are Conservatives with money who aren’t afraid to say so____Such as, Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, Bo Derek, James Caan, Chuck Norris, Pat Boone, Drew Carey, Clint Eastwood, Dale Earnhart, Ted Nugent, Kid Rock, Sylvester Stalone____The list is longer than anyone truly realizes! Just who are the Progressives trying to kid here?

          • Doc Sarvis

            Angel Wannabe
Sounds like you want the country to be run by Holywood.

          • Angel Wannabe

Just frankly Doc, they’d do a hell-of-va alot better than what’s in there now!

      • JeffH

Tea Party member, ole Doc still hasn’t been able to distinguish the difference from the grassroot Tea Party movement and the Tea Party Express. I’ll take the Tea Party Express over any alternative that George Soros has come up with. At least they’re on the right side of a wrong.

    • Warrior

That’s a good analysis Doc. When you have sufficient time, could you explain that hope and change thing again? I seem to have lost my notes on that.

      • 45caliber

The “hope and change” thing is really simple.

I HOPE that I have some CHANGE after my taxes are paid.

        • Doc Sarvis

          Don’t worry, you’ll be fine.

        • 45caliber

Doc: I certainly HOPE so – but so far I’m not seeing any CHANGE left. In fact, I’m having to reduce my spending on my family to keep up.

    • Raggs

AHHH— you have the ole “head-up-the-arse” syndrome… It is the same affliction obama, pelosi and reid seem not to be able to shake.

The people of this country are SICK of obama SICK of pelosi and SICK of reid and you just don’t get it! Well they don’t get it either…. But they will!

      • Doc Sarvis

When this administration came in power the country was spiraling rapidly down for a crash. They said what they wanted to do to correct some things (including the economy, health care, the environment, foreign policy). With that message the American people elected them (overwhelmingly). Not all has been accomplished but a lot of that agenda has been put in motion. Since things are still rough for a lot of folks there is still dissatisfaction out there which is understandable. That is the result of how bad things had gotten. Slowly (the economists analogy of turning around a huge ship) things are improving but not fast enough for many Americans. This explains the recent election results. As for the tea party; again, I ask you to read the following:

        http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2010/08/30/100830fa_fact_mayer?currentPage=all

        • Angel Wannabe

DS, The Country was spiraling downward when Bambi took office Because, of the Financiers calling back they’re money_-C’mon! They control the economy!

        • 45caliber

Doc, you said, “When this administration came in power the country was spiraling rapidly down for a crash.”

You are right. See what happens when the Dems are in power for two years? Now, after four, see how much worse it is?

          • Angel Wannabe

yep 45, the last two years of the Bush Administration, the Dems were in power of the House and Senate!!

          • Karolyn

It’s getting better every day! Retail sales are up! Employment is down! New jobs being created every day!

          • independant thinker

            “Employment is down!”

            And how is that good?

Actualy the unemployment rate is flat last I heard so we are loosing jobs at the same rate we are creating them. In other words things are stagnent.

        • thinking

Funny we are always told that business cycles up and down, so Obama was able to have the down side longer. He will also keep the economy from getting higher and employment will stay high. So he turned the ship into a sub? So now we can blame the republicans for not extending unemployment for the 5th time? We should just make unemployment like a job, you get paid by those who work for the good of the country. Why not create more jobs and give business a shot at competing with the rest of the world? No we have to push entitalments and obamacare and food stamps and go on vacation every other month. Good Job!

          • 45caliber

Actually, I believe that if the economy goes down, so should the salaries of the President and Congress. If it did, you’d see them get really serious about keeping it going up then.

        • http://personalliberty.com Mike W

          Doc Sarvis:
You seem very good at explaining the Obama doctrine could you please then explain what shovel ready job’s realy ment then . Or that why the jobless rate would not I belive he said would not go above 8% .OR ANYTHING ABOUT WHY EVERYTHING HE SAID HE COULD DO OBAMA AND HIS PARTY HAS FAILED AT. The demacrates have been in control for the last two years but still seem to want to blame Pres. Bush for everything why is not Pres. Carter to blame for FannyMay & FreddyMac were everyone who wants a home can have a home or Pres. Clinton for NAFTA and all of the other failurs from your party were is the blame for that were are your explanation for why they did what they have done to our country and destroyed it . Instead of reading the NewYorker maybe you should go back in time and read how your party has allways been bad for our country . I suppose you still belive your party was the one who passed the civilrites act and Byrd never ever held anything up . You are able to have your beliefs because this is a free socity but your party is trying very hard to destroy that and take all that away .You are incorrect in your beliefs sir and very wrong .

          • Doc Sarvis

            Awww, you called me “sir”.

          • Raggs

            Mike…

The definition of a shovel ready project…

Start by digging a hole in the economy and the constitution.
When the hole gets deep enough, throw all of the banks and the private sector industries into it…
And the third thing is once you have controlled the aforementioned cover the hole up with communism.

          • Doc Sarvis
          • http://personalliberty.com Mike W

Doc Sarvis: Is that all you got …. Respect is a good thing even if you disagree with a person . Its easy to be rude but, its harder to show respect even if if you know the other person realy has none for you . The only hypocrisy here is knowing people like yourself actually belive in what you are saying . You are still misguided and wrong and you show no argument to prove other wise .
Raggs: You are correct and it seems the hole is just getting deeper.

          • alpha-lemming

Here’s hoping the current administration will be a “shovel ready job” in 2012.

        • Karolyn

I meant to say UN-employment was down. I’m still getting emails from Gov. Perdue of NC in whicn every one talks iof new jobs being created in NC.

    • Angel Wannabe

Lets see DS, what do we want, Socialism vs Freedom, Hmmm?__I’ll take the one thats starts with a “F”!__As for alternatives for energy, expertimenting is fine, but unless your going to electrify EVERYTHING we use motors for(example), NO DICE!_-Fossil Fuels are here to stay!_The Good Lord has given Fossil Fuels freely, and it’s be pretty damn stupid not to use it! I use wood, with fuel oil back up!!!_-But I can get buy without the oil if I have to!__as for drumming up false claims, both the Left and the Right do it, it’s nothing new.____ I beg to differ about the Tea Party is a valid Grass Roots movement. That CD spin by the Left is warped, TP has risen but the Leftists want to down play it.__It wasn’t started by Republicans or hi-jacked by them either. There is Tea Party Folk who were elected. Anything new takes time to grab hold. The left just figures, they’ll kick it down before it has a chance to rise up to it’s full potencial__quite frankly the tactic hasn’t worked.

      • Eric Bischoff

Well with that logic, God gave us Lead Paint and I do believe many of you were stunted by it.

        • Angel Wannabe

squeek, squeek, sorry there was a spec on your glasses ;)

          • Raggs

            Angel.. that made me laugh…

          • independant thinker

That speck was from the lead primer and paint he was using in his kitchen and dining room.

        • Raggs

Eric… Lead paint was outlawed because X-Rays will not penetrate it! ( at least clearly )…
In other words the government cannot spy on you if you have lead paint in your roof or wallpaper. Lead is dence just like your brain…

          • Angel Wannabe

            Raggs__lol!

        • libertytrain

What a genteel, fine example of a human being you must be. In your mind of course.

        • Lewis Munn

          Eric,

God did not give us lead paint. God merely gave us lead, probably for soldering things together, pois0ning rats, and consrtructing stained glass windows for beauty and to praise Him. You will not find a lead paint mine anywhere.

Lead is very useful, when used properly as God has given people to understand. Most people, anyhow.

Our civilization would be lost without solder. Your car battery terminals would corrode rapidly if not made of lead. The Lead oxide/sulfate reaction is readily reversable, so your battery can be recharged over and over and over. And it does not have the run at high temperatures and use materials such as Lithium that will combust if exposed to air, or explode if any water gets into them, like the modern electric cars.

Lead is very useful. God gave it to use to use, along with the far more expensive lithium. God gave us minds to find the uses. And understand the dangers.

Man has not always used lead safely, but then neither has he used Lithium always safely. Or Nickle or Cadmium. Or even Hydrogen, without which we would have no water.

God gave man the ability to use these things safely, but when man does not follow God, as in China, they think nothing of painting children’s glasses with lead-based paints, to save money. And potentially harm the children.

Lead is morally neutral. Man can follow the Wisdom God gives, in love and concern for his fellow man, and Lead is then a useful servant. Or he can deny God, love money and not fellow men, and use it destructively.

          Which path do YOU follow?

      • Eric Bischoff

You might not want to face it but the Tea Party although a good idea was actually started by very wealthy Russian oligarchs as in the Koch Bros. They also started the John Birch Society and the Heritage Foundation amongst others. Extreme conservative think tanks whose job is to provide/create fodder for their ideologies. They invested a fortune in TV advertising.

The grass roots is real and came in the form of people who were fed up with the system but as usual the masses are easily manipulated. These guys have refined the manipulation and they also have the largest most powerful TV network as their mouth piece. as in Fox, a money loser, supported by Billionaires Ruppert Murdoch and a Saudi Prince.

After reading W. Cleon Skousen’s Naked Capitalism and Caroll Quigley’s Tragedy & Hope, one wonders who the real Marxist are and how amazing the subterfuge is.

Our best last hope is if we can actually figure out who they are and throw them out and get rid of the Federal Reserve. But make no mistake figuring out who they are and who is not part of the cabal is not an easy task. You may think you know but don’t be so sure or you will surely be disappointed again.

There’ is no difference as they play and fund both sides.

They being the ruling class, the central banks, the international banksters, IMF, World Bank, CFR, the wealthy Foundations, et al…

They are so powerful it may be too late.

        • JeffH

“After reading W. Cleon Skousen’s Naked Capitalism and Caroll Quigley’s Tragedy & Hope, one wonders who the real Marxist are…”

I’ll give you a hint…take a long hard look in the mirror for starters…!

          • Angel Wannabe

            Well Done JeffH!

    • FlaJim

Yeah, Doc, the Kenyan said, “America is the greatest country in the world and we’re going to change it.” Endless bailouts, rising unemployment, states facing bankruptcy along with the country as a whole. Nice job.

This whole mess was kicked off by the collapse of the real estate bubble that the Dems began during the Carter years. The GOP tried to stem the abuses when they were in power but were stymied each time by the Dems who then turned around and pointed fingers at the institutions that had been threatened with sanctions if they didn’t buy up risky mortgages.

    • bp

Doc: Prove it! Facts, please. There are none, thank-you!

    • alpha-lemming

??????? really… REALLY!!! The Teas are as grass-roots as it gets (citing Bela Pelosis’ track record ’til now, “the people are for us, they just didn’t understand and we communicated poorly”… or “welfare is the best method available to stimulate the economy”… I’d say “the Tea Party isn’t grass roots, it’s astro-turf” is proof positive that it really is a ground up movement).

Attendees were… families, couples, and individuals (not unions), who drove themselves to rallies/town-halls (not bussed in sporting matching SEIU T-shirts), displaying “hand-made” signs (not distributed pre- 10-2-10), and were passionate as witnessed by hours and days in attendance of said rallies (not “outta here” in 45 minutes because the photo-op was over). You are either blind (most generous), delusional (not your fault), or a liar (evil… to what purpose??). Which is it, so I’ll know the proper tone of further communications?

    • Sue Bar

Why don’t you find papers of the more recent history of this so you can really educate ypourself – or is that too frightening?

    • 45caliber

Riiight, Doc. Keep believing that. It always helps when the opponents refuse to see what is going on right under their eyes. It makes it far easier to defeat them.

    • JC

      Qualify that. What “False Claims”?

    • (WIA) Wild Indian in Action

If you are a Doc, Doc Sarvis you need to examine eddie69d, Flushman, and yourself I am convinced that you Progressives/Obam-bam have the cranial, rectal insertion you can see the light. Who on this site agrees with you? Now go to the Arianna Huffington POST stuff it and be polite and go F%$# yourself. It ain’t over yet 2012 is coming sooner than you think. So be polite and go , well, you know the rest.

      • Doc Sarvis

To post on a site where everyone agrees with you would be pointless. As an American and as an Independent I value our freedom of speech and respect it enough to present points as opposed to calling others names or insulting them in other ways.

        • http://personalliberty.com Mike W

Then Doc please make a valid point …..

        • Karolyn

Amen! Unfortunately, the conservatives here think this is only for them. It is also unfortunate that hey can’t handle hearing other views. This country and world would be in poor shape if we all thought the same.

          • http://personalliberty.com Mike W

So very true we have an Ideal Log in office now and he can’t get anything rite. Just read in the Zogby poll today that the Great Ones poll rateings have now dropped to 39% . So much for Hope and Change . What you say Doc is your Great One realy that Great . Is everything still as glorious as it was when you first voted this guy into office . I am still waiting for just one VALID POINT .Or are you still reading through your NewYorker Magazine trying to find one .

          • JC

Karolyn, there’s a huge diffence between hearing other points of view and putting up with socialist propoganda. As soon as I recognize a comment as socialist in nature, I automatically write it off. There is nothing new in socialism to listen to, it’s the same old dead end story…every time.

        • Vigilant

          Doc,

“To post on a site where everyone agrees with you would be pointless. As an American and as an Independent I value our freedom of speech and respect it enough to present points as opposed to calling others names or insulting them in other ways.”

Presenting a point is one thing. Backing it up with logical and factual substantiation is quite another. On balance the arguments of the conservative faction are much more lucid, common sense, historically accurate and sane. Conservatives believe in the right to our own opinions. Leftists consistently believe in the right to their own facts.

          • Karolyn

Vigilant – I don’t know how you can write that with a straight face!

          • Vigilant

If you can see my face, you must be hallucinating. Doesn’t surprise me.

          • Another Vet

I CAN! Except, WITH A SNEER!!!!!!

    • Vigilant

“Doc” Sarvis lies as follows: The tea party movement is not grassroots. It is a well funded affilliation (sic) run by rich interests (mostly oil interests) to drum up false claims against the current administration (since it was looking to energy alternatives that we need).”

      (1) You make a completely unsuupportable assertion about false claims against the current administration. OK, smartass, name ONE false claim made by the Tea Party against Obama & Co.

      (2) The range of Tea Party concerns is at a higher level than you even have the guts to admit: it’s about returning the country to its Constitutional respect for the rule of law, government within the confines of its Constitutional restrictions, and restoration of the checks and balances.

Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn WHO is funding the Tea Party efforts! If its ultimate effect is to restore Constitutional safeguards, then that funding FROM WHATEVER SOURCE is worthwhile.

      • JeffH

Vigilant, heh, heh…one thing we do know is that the funding isn’t coming from SOROS…heh, heh!

        • Angel Wannabe

Boy ain’t that the truth! JeffH!

      • Jana

        Vigilant,
I feel the same way. I wouldn’t care if Doc Sarvis himself was funding the TEA Party, as long as we are able to get our message out. They just can’t stand it that the people are standing up and being heard. Communism is for control of the masses.

    • Allan Halbert

Yes, we put them back in power because we thought they gave us the best chance of stopping the ridiculous spending, among other things.

You are fundamentally wrong in your view of the Tea Party. But what difference would it make if you knew that. Probably none.

    • verlsinko

NAME ME 1 FALSE ACCUSATION AGAINST THE DEMOCRATS! And while we are at it, the ‘TEA PARTY’ is made up of people like me. Those of us that are tired of sending Republicans to washington one year and then not being able to tell them apart from democrats the next.

Time to insist on the birth certificate, once proven foreign or American born proceed from there, one you remove the clown, have him tried for his crimes and imprison him for life, since ineligible all his bull shit laws and appointments to office are now worthless, much easier to clean up, if Legal, impeach the Clown, and charge with High Treason using the Southern bored, being the Mexicans want to take back America for their shit hole country, this amounts to an Armed invasion which it is! so Treason during a time of war, not to mention all our actions in the Middle east and the terrorists he has let in our south door by holding it open for him, then go to work removing his wreck America laws and the Judges. get all of it in one sweeping motion. At that point go to healing our unemployment, our veterans health care and other needs we have gouged them on in these last years, Get out of the UN and NATO, remove there people from our land, and there building from our land, remove FEAMA and get a disaster relief program up for that rather then The American conquest, now FEMA is for American Conquest! and rid our selves of the Federal Reserve, and IRS replacing IRS with a national sales tax. So much to do, not all Obamas or the Democrats fault, it has built up to this, we had to clean the government out during Taft’s time, see if we cant fix some of what is wrong again, This is a great country and we are a Free people, Lets keep it that way, work to destroy world order in every facet of the world starting here.

    • Linda Brickner

      Bill,
I agree with you. We are in grave danger from within our own borders. We should impeach this unpatriotic president and charge him with treason, he is not upholding our Constitution. He is a danger to our FREEDOMS. OUT of the UN NOW!!!!! Get rid of the FED!!!!!

“There’s the difference between liberals and conservatives. Liberals see the good, while conservatives only see the bad.”

liberals see the good in taking money from others, while conservatives see the bad of taxing away earnings

“Of course, a totally right-wing website. All rightwing websites cite conspiracies.”

        liberals are conspiracies

Liberals don’t think for themselve they have to be told by the man on what to think and do!

        • Eric Bischoff

Yes Conservatives live in a fantasy world thinking that they can have a modern America with a tiny government. Somehow they think that it will all take care of itself. The private sector will take care of everything and do the right thing. They will make sure that, we have public transportation, the water we drink is cheap and clean. The rural areas have broadband services and postal service, the fires are put out, the police shows up. You might have a rude awakening when the person next to you starts coughing all over you and they have TB because they lost their job and couldn’t afford healthcare and became homeless. Then you might have a rude awakening when the house next to you didn’t pay for private fire dept services and their house burns down and takes yours with it. Or your kids all died of eColi from bad food because the FDA was eliminated and it’s now a free for all in the food industry. Should I go on….Maybe you get the point! NOT

          • Karolyn

BRAVO! Oh, how true!! In black and white, but they will not even see it.

          • Raggs

Your point is what?… Everything you just posted happens everyday… Oh you must mean that the government CONTROLS everything?

            What a freakin idiot.

          • http://personalliberty.com Mike W

Yes Eric the PRIVATE SECTOR would do a better job than the government. The government runs most of things you were spouting off about. Really are any of those thing’s working that well lately . Are not most of those point’s you made all hot air and bull . If what you say was so true why is the jobless rate so high. I thought that it was not going to go above 8% but its past that on average and way past that in most states .I asked one of your other lberail screamers to clear up that one point up and I am still waiting . You are just like HFlashman ,Doc Sarvis and the other wind bags that are trying to make a liberal point or dry agrument on this page your full of hot air, and know nothing of what you are talking about . Karolyn,

“There’s the difference between liberals and conservatives. Liberals see the good, while conservatives only see the bad.”

What utter hogwash! This country, with all its faults, was much more optimistic (and prosperous) in general until the socialists started the class warfare of envy and hatred of the rich. Until the dividers started the entitlement and “victimhood” syndrome. Until the Democrats, the traditional promoters of slavery and voters against civil rights for blacks, saw that they could continue the enslavement and gain a voting bloc through making those people dependent upon government.

Conservatives, as our Founders did, see the goodness and worthiness of individuals and don’t treat them as statistics. Conservatives understand that the freest individual, given equal opportunity to apply his talents in the workplace, is the individual who will prosper and contribute in lasting ways to the “Great Experiment.” Conservatives contribute more to charities and worthy causes than liberals. Conservatives have always recognized that the “common good” is always better served by maximizing individual freedom, rather than subordinating that freedom to the redistribution schemes of the welfare state.

No, the darling causes of the left of abortion, death panels, amnesty for illegal aliens, dumbed down schools, deficit spending like a drunken sailor, and a government that chokes the life out of the goose that lays the golden egg, are not the causes of optimism but the sick pipe dreams of the despot.

        • Jana

Karolyn enjoys using other people’s money.

      • Angel Wannabe

K___Progressives see the utopia of what others peoples money can buy, Conservatives prefer reality of doing it themselves__, There’s quite a difference!

        • JC

Liberals feel a great debt to their fellow man….which they intend to pay with some one else’s money.

      • JC

        Yeah right…whatever.
Is that why the Hillary’s of the world and the Pelosi’s of the world need to keep going after our civil liberties? Because we’re all “bad” and need to be controlled. hardly conservative values there…

  • Robert Lebischak

It seems the kids still think they run things, and the trouble is they do. How many people voted for them without even thinking, how many people did not even tun up to vote. We still have a mind set of voting the straight ticket, not for the person best for the job. The money spent by unions and other special interest groups helped set the tone, We the People are loosing this Nation and do not even see it. The Tea Party helped to wake some of us up, but not enough. It’s two years till the next major election, for God’s sake, pray we can get enough people educated to use their minds again or we may lose this Nation.

    • Patriot

Have faith, I believe in the people of this country! When elections are won “Big” like the last one that really makes a statement. Since not even intimidation or voter fraud numbers could help the progressives. This is just the start of something “good” for this country, this will be a long, hard and tough road, never lose Faith! Keep yourself informed and hold these new elected officials accountable everyday! Watch every move, we need to keep these folks held to the highest ethical standards and values to honor all the people that paid the ultimate price for our freedoms past and future!

      • 45caliber

I believe I did see some voter fraud helping people like Pelousy, Reid, Boxer, etc. In fact, without it, I don’t see Reid being able to stay in office at all. And there were other cases as well.

        • Karolyn

Oh, really, 45? You believe you saw voter fraud? Why has none of it become public? Don’t tell me it’s being covered up. Nothing stays covered up, especially with the conservative watchdogs out there! That goes for the liberal watchdogs as well.

          • 45caliber

Actually there are some court suits filed on that voter fraud. Such as the voting machines (computers) counting 4 of every 5 votes for Reid, etc.

          • Lewis Munn

Voter fraud was going on even in small towns with paper ballots in the 50′s. A person I know well in a small town election had 1000 people who would, without being paid off, sign affidavits they had voted for him. But only 19 votes were counted for him by the major party tellers.

The major party political machine has vote fraud down to a science, and even computerized machines can be tampered with…just run a revised file in as an “update”. Much easier now, in fact. If the vote is not going your way, have union electricians adjust the computer program!

        • Eric Bischoff

I guess you slept right through the last few elections massive voter fraud.

        • Palin12

          45,
Voter fraud played a big part in Reid’s reelection, as well as union coercion and intimidation. I live in Nevada and watched it closely. The morning of Nov 2 I checked the latest average polls which showed Angle up 3.7%. This dispite union bosses telling employees they may not have a job if they don’t vote for Reid. Union thugs bussed employees to early-voting sites, giving them a free sack-lunch, and standing around in an intimidating manner while the employees voted. Other voters claimed they voted for Angle, but their printout said Reid. That evening i watched the results at the GOP party at the Venetian. At about 6:45PM the TV stations showed an exit poll Angle 53%, Reid 39%. After 7:00 PM, the returns started coming in with Reid ahead. Something very fishy!

          • Karolyn

Well, then, why wasn’t it challenged? Actually, as I’m reading this about voter fraud I’m thinking to myself “This is the American way.” And actually it is. Look back in history, especially in the days of Tammany Hall. We Americans are not as squeaky clean as so many would like to believe. Just like with dirty politics. It’s a part of our history. There’s nothing new under the sun.

          • http://none Mike

Karolyn, The diffrence between you and I is I see any fraud as bad.And you see it as normal. There is something desperatly lacking in your education to even make that kind of statement. I am hopeing its just your education and not some sort of disorder. I have stated here before I saw in Reids election alot of union thuggery going on. The unions coerced their people into voteing for him. Even though he was a disaster for most of their economy. There might be corruption in the republican party but we have more of a tendancy to expose and get rid of it than do the democrats. Here lately its celebrated as a good thing in the demcratic party. But if you must go ahead and call it normal.Just dont expect the rest of us to buy it. Mike L.

          • Vigilant

Now, now, Karolyn, kindly make up your mind. You said you see the good and the Conservatives see the bad. You can’t have it both ways.
            America-hating at its worst.

          • Karolyn

Vigilant, Give me a break. It’s history. You can’t change that. America is not perfect, never has been. Nothing and no one is. There has been, and always will be, crime, fraud, greed, racism, bigotry, etc, ad infinitum.

          • Palin12

The reason the Nevada election was not challenged is because our Secretsary of State is a democrat.

  • Linda Brickner

    Good Morning Patriots,

Take a look at this web site about the UN’s plans for us all.
http://www.sovereignty.net and our wonderful leaders are helping them fulfill this dream of 1 world government. I don’t know about you but I don’t want anything the UN is trying to sell us. They are corrupt,
thieving liars. We need to get out of the UN and get it out of the USA, NOW!!!!!! Please start sending this message to your congressperson and rep’s. We want out of the UN NOW!!!!!God Bless The USA & OUR SOLDIERS

    • Karolyn

Of course, a totally right-wing website. All rightwing websites cite conspiracies.

      • Palin12

Oh, you mean like the 911 Truther’s Conspiracy?

        • JeffH

…or Huff Post, or Daily Kos, or NPR.org?

        • Vigilant

Let’s not forget Hillary Clinton’s “vast right wing conspiracy.”

      • JC

Conspiracies, yes. Theories, not so much.
But rather than try and teach you anything I’d rather you do your own homework. There is evidence everywhere…

  • Warrior

Here’s an issue I would like an answer to. What is the TSA’s policy on hiring gays?

    • Raggs

Yeah I thought of that as well…

Gay’s and internet porno… Apparently we are paying them to play…

    • 45caliber

I love it when some movie star or politician gets up and insists the fondling and naked scans are all okay. They don’t have to go through them and don’t.

      • Teresa

Hey 45..have you ever thought of the possibilities of the infections that the TSA officers are passing? I mean, I agree that they truly are only doing their job and as they are told. But, have you ever walked thru an airport line and watched these guys? Do you ever see them change gloves after every inspection? You do realize that the person in front of you can be infected right? The gloves are there for THEIR protection but what about OURS?

        • Warrior

Well, all those H1N1 vaccines haven’t been used up yet.

          • Raggs

H1N1 was invented the week after obama left mexico. Funny how it somehow started there…

          • Angel Wannabe

Raggs, the only time we see some kind of crisis pop up is when, the Progressives are up to something, they don’t want the American people to know about!__Too bad we already know!

        • Jana

          Teresa,
I thought of that as well. The gloves they have on are to protect them, not the people they are molesting. The should have to change gloves after each person they touch. They are passing on all kinds of germs and diseases if they don’t.

        • Karolyn

pick, pick, pick, pick, pick, pick, pick. complain, complain, complain, complain. Wah, wah, wah, wah. Geez, what would happen if you had nothing to complain about?

          • Teresa

Karolyn, I have been completely respectfull to your insults and if you have something worth wild to say then say it, but if you want to act like a child I will treat you as one.

          • Karolyn

Think about it, Teresa, all you guys do is complain! It’s true. Don’t you get tired of it? Geez. Sorry if I get you mixed up with Angel and Jana.

          • Jana

            Karolyn,
You must be thinking of your own posts. You are one of the biggest compaliners on this site.
You are the pot (head) calling the kettle black.

          • JC

            Karolyn…pick pick pick?
WTF is your point you nazi loving moron?

  • Dave

People need to open their eyes and realize that we need to stop blaming the Party and start voting for the people that will work us and the Constitution. To many people are still voting Republican or Democrat because mommy and daddy did. It’s time we wake up and realize that these are the two Parties that have us in the boat we are in. It’s not the party we need to vote for it is the person we want to represent us (the people) that we need to vote for.

    • Warrior

Well, this much I do know. Since the new version of democratic socialist party has arrived, I can assure you I will NEVER vote for anyone with a “D” after their name.

      • Raggs

Warrior… After seeing the elections in the past weeks one really comes to my mind and of course bothers the hell out of me… Alaska!
As we know Mur-cow-ski ( I didn’t know cows could ski ) was a repub ( so she say’s ) until the primary when she lost… Supposedly she “switched” to an independant as a write-in and won?.. Obviously she is a RINO…

My point being, I think that any member will do whatever they “think” ( term used loosely ) they need to do to stay under the cloak of the government regardless of affiliation to party…
We see this happen in both parties as the new norm…

Dave has a good point and I think we do need a party of the people.

    • Teresa

      AMEN

  • JeffH

Ben Crystal, again you’ve produced an accurate and entertaining piece. Always a pleasure to read and it starts my day on a positive note.

I like seeing and hearing Nazi Pelosi and her minions day in and day out…I guess you could say it puts a little more purpose in my life to help these despicable traitors get run out of town once and for all.

  • Dave

I don’t believe I’ll vote for another Democrat either Warrior, I’ll only vote Republican if there is no other choice. I’ve seen enough Democrats and Republicans in office. Time to get back to what this Country was meant to be. Of the People by the People and for the People.
    One Nation Under God.

    • 45caliber

I still occasionally vote Democrat – but only in local elections. I have to know the people. State and national elections? I don’t vote Dem at all any more. They simply do not have any people running for office that I’d trust to help me across a busy street.

      • Warrior

45, I can’t bring myself to do it. The dems have been taken over completely by the socialists. If one chooses to run under that banner so be it. It’s time for the moderate dems to distance themselves from the whacko marxists. The marxists need to be totally isolated unto themselves so everyone knows who’s who. It’s just time to stop pretending. All the socialists can go back in their holes and not be heard from again.

Moderates can join repubs or tea party or libertarians or anyone else that values their freedom.

        • Eric Bischoff

Baseless and ignorant. How would you like it if progressives always accused conservatives and Republicans of having been taken over by Fascists

          • http://personalliberty.com Mike W

Eric you must not get out much .But, that is exactly what the left has been doing for TWO years now .Everyone who does not agree the this Hope and Change is either a Nazi ,A biggot ,or some other god awful name . Wake up and stop reading the New Yoker like the Doc .

          • Warrior

Ouch Eric, was I hitting below your belt?

          • Eric Bischoff

Mike W why do you assume that I read the New Yorker and I don’t usually. Should we compare what we read?

          • http://none Mike

Yep angel and the soap tasted good too. I have seen him whine about this that or the other for weeks now and finally got a bit fed up with it. His mentality is that of a spoiled child who when told hes wrong digs in and hides behind idealogs. I used to give him the benifit of a doubt but I guess I was wrong. Mike L.

        • Eric Bischoff

Not at all Warrior but the Tea Party does seem to attract a lot of wackos, biggots and racists. I would disown them quickly.

          • Warrior

And the national democratic socialist party doesn’t contain these elements? Pelosi, Boxer, Soros, Van Jones, Bill Ayers, Clintons, Reid, Grayson, Guitierez, rangel, Schumer, Wiener, Waters, durbin, daley’s, rahmbo, jarrett, the whole controlling party is comprised of the types you describe. Wouldn’t you agree?

          • JeffH

Too much of your liberal bias has made you into a LIAR! LIAR! LIAR!
You can’t prove it but I bet you read it and heard it from the liberal media…LIAR! Prove it!

I usually refrain from this but here its in order. Your brand of whaco.Zero groth groups and extinctionist. These 2 are sick in the head liberals who think we should all die off and return the planet to nature. Savage said it best Liberalisim is a mental disorder. These 2 groups are massively suicidel.Envior-Mental groups wind mills electric cars solarpanel hat crowds. They must have this right now whether practicl or not. You like them so much start a commune with them and the next time it rains for a couple of days enjoy your blackout when the battries run down.3 Global warming wing nuts. This group when confronted with scientific facts draw their heads back in their shells and say it isnt so.No more scitzofrenic group I have never seen. These guys cant even come to a consenses on their own fantasy science. Thus carbon dioxide crowd vs. the methane breathers. Dipers and tubes up the cows butts. No hamburgers for you or milk because cow farts are bad for the enviroment.I guess we all should stop breathing too because we emit carbon dioxide. • Palin12

I actually voted for one democrat in this last election, for county treasurer.

    • Eric Bischoff

Oxymoron since Republicans and a lot of Tea Party politicians have their nose way up corporations and big business’ arse and could care less about people. Voting against your best interest again I see. When will you learn!

      • http://personalliberty.com Mike W

Not keep picking on you but you are that not with it . Are the big unions supporting the Repulicans or the Moron and Chief and who is he supporting . Does Jeffery Emelt tell Obama what to do or do the voters .Do you even have a clue as to what you are talking about .We could go on but you need to go back to school first .

      • Teresa

Eric, I am sorry that you feel the tea party favors big corporations apparently you know nothing of them that you feel you “think” you do. All the tea party people I have ever encountered have been of every culture and relegion and background and they represent one thing and one thing only…OUR Constitution. I think that is basically the problem with most and why they feel so threatened by the tea party because they can not put a distinct finger on why So Many People can join together in such a force with the passion that the American people still have for the love of our freedom and God and Country. They have listened to all the punches and the remarks, they still stand for OUR (yours and mine) Constitution….not a new one or a re-written one or one that is trying to be dismanttled by the administration, but OUR CONSTITUTION!

        • Eric Bischoff

I love the idea of the Tea Party and that people who probably never demonstrated for anything in their life finally woke up and did something. What I don’t like are the TP politicians that are taking advantage of the situation who are no better than the last bunches. Actually some of them are quite lame and don’t deserve to be in charge of anything. And unlike a lot of the Tea Party grass roots people I am not blind or in denial of the massive billionaire money behind the movement. Not all is what it appears to be.

          • Angel Wannabe

          • Karolyn

Eric – You know you can’t talk rationally with most of these people. Fortunately, there are a few who are intellifent enough to carry on a civilized discourse.

          • Vigilant

It’s useless to talk to Eric about George Soros. I’ve never seen anyone in such a state of denial as Eric when it comes to Soros. Eric goes by whatever communist websites say about Soros, so Eric thinks he’s just a nice guy interested in furthering the democratic cause.

          • Vigilant

            Karolyn,

“Eric – You know you can’t talk rationally with most of these people. Fortunately, there are a few who are intellifent enough to carry on a civilized discourse.”

The first part of the sentence is dead on: “Eric – You know you can’t talk rationally…”

          • Vigilant

And when you and Eric decide you want to begin talking rationally, we will be all ears.

At the new opening of the House of Representatives in January, Speaker Boehner needs to say: 1.”We will begin each session with our members bowing their heads in silence for the opening prayer of the Chaplin, 2. We will then all sing the National Anthem, 3. We will then salute the flag with the Pledge of Allegience, including the words “under God’. Any one not wishing, for whatever reason, to do these three things in a respectful way must leave the House Chamber, but keep in mind that you may not re-enter for the entire 2011 session.”

    • Eric Bischoff

      • http://personalliberty.com Mike W

You realy are not very brite are you …

      • JeffH

Hey, guess who basically wrote the PATRIOT ACT, you know the one the liberals alays scream and yell about and bash GW over.

Say it ain’t so. In 1995 Joe Biden Basically Wrote The PATRIOT Act.

Months before the Oklahoma City bombing took place, Biden introduced another bill called the Omnibus Counterterrorism Act of 1995. It previewed the 2001 Patriot Act by allowing secret evidence to be used in prosecutions, expanding the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act and wiretap laws, creating a new federal crime of “terrorism” that could be invoked based on political beliefs, permitting the U.S. military to be used in civilian law enforcement, and allowing permanent detection of non-U.S. citizens without judicial review.

Biden himself draws parallels between his 1995 bill and its 2001 cousin. “I drafted a terrorism bill after the Oklahoma City bombing. And the bill John Ashcroft sent up was my bill,” he said when the Patriot Act was being debated, according to the New Republic, which described him as “the Democratic Party’s de facto spokesman on the war against terrorism.”

There goes more of our rights and freedoms. The morons are in charge again and they want to shove their myths, beliefs and nauseating scaredy cat patriotism down everyone’s throats. So much for freedom.

Is that not what OUR nations was founded on? Is that not the Flag in which Our family, our brothers and sisters and fathers have died for, in order for you and I to be able to have these very freedoms in which you speak of?
How dare you speak in a hypocritical tone, when all you wish to say is you wish to slam your gay loving righs down every one of our throats! You expect our tolerance in our schools, our government, our community, our work force, our homes, our neighborhoods. We have traded our values for the sake of political correctness! NO MORE! • Karolyn

I’ve been in recovery from my addictions for 28 years, but I think you could use a little help Jana and Angel. Pot might expand your tiny little mind. Most of what I post here has to do with being reasonable, which you don’t seem to understand, hence your unwarranted posts.

          • Jana

            Karolyn,
What you consider reasonable, and what IS actually reasonable are two different things.
I read your posts with amazement most of the time. Where is your mind? Many times you contradict yourself.
One thing I have noticed is you can dish it out, but you sure can’t take it. If you are so sensitive then don’t write things that are so mean and demeaning. I will treat you like you treat me. You be nice for a change and I will be nice, but I will not sit silently by and allow you to be snotty.
Congratulations for being in recovery. By the way, if pot is so good for you why did you get hooked and now have to be in recovery for life?

        Ertic,

You feel that anything from another source is a myth, other than yourself, or scaredycat, or…well, you said it.

So patriotism, the emotion of loving your country and what the Constitution says it stands for, is scaredycat? It takes a real person to stand up for the whole Constitution as written.

And a strong person that insists it be followed, in spite of those who despise the country and what it stands for.

Where do you place yourself? Firm for the basis of our Country, or scaredycat about supporting it as those who wrote our Constitution intended it?

You are more right than they after much work and discussion?

I want to comment on Sheila Jackson-Lee’s racist conspiracy comments. Several years ago, during hurricane season Houston officials were telling Houstonians to prepare and it became a daily occurence since Houston had been spared a hit by hurricanes for about 11 years. Hurricane preparation was talked about on just about every radio station. One day, Sheila Jackson-Lee announced that the naming of the hurricanes were racist and that we should include black names in the mix. The talk show host I listened to at the time said, “I agree with Sheila Jackson-Lee. Let’s name the first one after her – Sheila!”

    • http://personalliberty.com Mike W

That is an odd statement for Mis/Mrs. Jackson after I guess crying racism she wants to name hurricanes with black names or african american names I guess is what she ment perhaps( just to be pc.) . If that is the case then who realy is the raceist her claming certain names as black or african american or her for wanting to claim specific Hurricanes as being needed to be named with those names . And out of curosity which names is she claiming to be soley set aside for only blacks .

what we need is an audit of the senate and house, each member should be srcutinized for past and present dealings. to allow these politiicians to run amok like they have been is irresponsible. they should be audited every so often just like the banks get audited. then when they get caught with their hand in th4 cookie jar, they go to jail just like the citizens do. rangel is a prime example.

    • Teresa

ha ha ha, I like that idea. Can you just imagine if we had random audits on congress as we do on the American citizens….what a weave of members would be caught in the web. I fear we would all have to saddle on up and head to Washington and run the place ourself…ah shucks…I do believe we could handle it so much better!!!!!

  • Dave

Audits are a great idea but we all know that won’t happen until we put a leash on this government. There are to many crooks in power right now. Time to get the Republicans and Democrats out of power and put the people back in power.

    • Raggs

      Audit?… It’s a controlled collapse…
This has been ongoing for many years, it is produced to enslave all people… If you want an audit you must start with yourself and how you will allow the outcome… We are looking at a global governance.. DICTATORS..

      • http://none Mike

Raggs, I am afraid the controlled collaps just might be starting to slide twords a full blown disaster.I am kinda waiting to see the real nubers from the retail holiday sales. If this season is a collaps we are in for a long hard ride to the bottem. The houseing market is still in shambles and the Fed is showering in money now thats worth 50% of what it was 6 years ago.Food medicne and energy are all on a rapid rise pushing the houseing market futher over the ledge. People that are just barly hanging on now are looseing their grips and going under. And the fed’s band just played on. Real unemployment numbers now approching 20% and no new ideas comming from the righ or left right now. So the snowball effect of all this could completely collaps us.Mike L.

  • Dave

Raggs is 100% correct, this has been in the making for years and it’s hard to believe that there is still so many people bickering about what party they’re for. The sooner we start voting for the person (after doing some research) and stop voting party the better off we all will be.

When obama was on the trip home from his worship of allah in india he made a comment to stop by and say hi to chavez….

I think even a blind man can see what that meant.

    • Karolyn

Duh, They don’t worship Allah in India. And Hugo Chavez is a patriot in his country. He wouln’t sell out to the CIA.

      • Teresa

Oh good Lord Karolyn…you really are lost aren’t you?

      • Angel Wannabe

K__Your right on one respect, they don’t worship allah in India__I believe India’s main religion is Hinduism, but there is also Buddhismm some Christianity & Sikh.__And The only reason Hugo Chavez is a patriot in his own Country, is because his people are scared shytless to say anything else!

        • http://none Mike

Angel, Obama even managed to violate their customs while he was there too. Micheel Obama insisted on shakeing hands with their leader. And its against the hindu religon for a man to touch another mans wife. Yet she insisted and forced the contact anyway. Obumbler might want to study the cultures he visits in the future to avoid violating customs. Mike L.

        • Karolyn

Do a little research on the Americans trying to buy him. They couldn’t and that was why there was an assassination attempt on him. You don’t know everything Angel.

          • Teresa

Karolyn, I will commend you on trying to stay clean and I wish you all the luck. But you need to surround yourself with support…associate yourself w/friends that will help you in your path. As for the discussions on here I will keep an open mind and try my best not to loose my temper as I hope you can too. (I know my own weaknesses and pray for strength every day) I do try to see both sides to the discussion and I hope you can too. The majority of us here truly do wish to see a smaller government and want the Constitution upheld to the fullest without any altercation in any shape or form and that is basically our view. We are not trying to enforce any beliefs on you or anyone else, we just do not want OUR rights taken from us and when the Constitution is changed or altered or ignored then we get angry.

I liked ole pelosi when she was a pup, good looking in a way. Then, later, she had to have her forehead raised and got a bug eyed look. Sad to see these women go from sports car to old battle wagon. Comes from arguing all day long with Republicans. Maybe her jet will stop by one last time and pick me up on the way to Malibu. She may have learned a move or two from ole Bill.

  • Lewis Munn

    Leava…

When one is filled with avarice and hate, the face is the first to go. Arguing with Republicans and knowing that one is so often in the wrong, deep inside, does wreak havoc on the looks.

And if you hitch a ride, you deserve whatever happens! Watch for the move to throw you out the window at 30,000 feet. The thrill just isn’t worth it!
