The Thrill Is Gone

For the eighth time in what increasingly looks like will be his only term, President Barack Obama held forth at a talking point dump, aka press conference. For a man dubbed “messianic” by the liberal elite, I can’t help but notice of late, Obama looks as comfortable in front of the camera as a blind agoraphobic in Grand Central Station during rush hour. 

Watching our increasingly desperate President try to hold the attention of even the fawning sycophants who comprise the bulk of the White House Press Corps was like watching a physics professor trying on homecoming Friday to hold the attention of a lecture hall filled with frat-boy liberal arts majors.  Confronted by ABC News correspondent Jake Tapper about how Obamacare has already turned into the fiscal imbroglio Democrats denied it would be, Obama froze stiffer than Nancy Pelosi’s face on a Lake Tahoe ski lift:

“No — as I said, uh, Jacob, the — I haven’t read the entire study, uh, maybe you have.  But, uh, you know, if — if you — if what the reports are true, what they’re saying is that as a consequence of us getting 30 million additional people health care, at the margins that’s gonna increase our costs, we knew that.  We didn’t think that we were gonna cover 30 million people… for… free.

Actually, Mr. President, that’s.  Precisely.  What.  You.  Said.  While his backtracking tends to be as laughably divorced from reality as an Ed Schultz monologue, Obama’s stilted speech patterns and inexplicable “I don’t write it, I just read it” dependence on the teleprompter has actually passed funny and disembarked at creepy.  I can’t help but wonder if David Axelrod is standing behind the blue curtain with a remote control: 

“Damn it, Gibbs.  I need four AA batteries, pronto!”

Remember when this same media took such pleasure in mocking George W. Bush’s tortured enunciations?  At least we all knew that when W said “nook-you-lerr,” it wasn’t because Ari Fleischer fell asleep with his head on the keyboard. 

I thought Obama was supposed to be the smartest man alive.  During the course of the 2008 Presidential campaign, the Democrats deployed every media flack, screwball blogger and MSNBC “journalist” to extol his brilliance while excoriating anyone who dared ask: 

“Is it me, or does this guy sound like Howard Dean built a Leninbot in his basement?”

Those of us who openly questioned the acumen of the untested Illinois Senator were dismissed as racists.  Once the race card was maxed out (which happened right about the same time ultra-white boy Newsweek leftist Jonathan Alter claimed that only racism could prevent an Obama Presidency), the left began assailing doubters with Obama’s indubitable brilliance.  “He went to HARVARD.”  Um…so did the Unabomber.  For that matter, so did Al Gore.  For THAT matter — so did Bush.

Now that the Obama Express has jumped the tracks and slammed headfirst into the bridge abutment of incompetence, Democrats nationwide are booking passage to Anywhere But Obama.  Two hundred nineteen Dems voted “yea” on Obamacare.  Not one has run an ad touting their vote.

“Sure, I’m flattered that the President would like to campaign for me.  It’s just that I’m washing my hair this election.” 

The borderline-romantic yearning for the great Community Activist has faded like Bill and Hillary’s post-Monica love life.  Even plagiarist and former Bhagwan devotee Ariana Huffington’s Hollywood self-esteem builder Huffingtonpost.com can’t seem to drum up much enthusiasm, with Huffpo’s ubiquitous pseudo-academic Joseph Palermo weaving allusions to fading Obama worship into a predictable tapestry of tired Bush-bashing in a Friday piece ponderously entitled “President Obama Attempts to Bridge the ‘Enthusiasm Gap.’”  It has clearly never occurred to Professor Palermo that the Army Corps of Engineers couldn’t handle that job.

Obama’s lack of enthusiasm is beyond pathetic.  Rush Limbaugh suggested during his Friday broadcast that Obama appears impotent.  Limbaugh is underselling the problem.  There’s no little blue pill which can fix the issues in the White House. 

Whatever you want to call it, Obama’s lack of vitality is dangerous.  Islamofascism, the Service Employees International Union and Nancy Pelosi don’t let up on the throttle just because Obama’s hiding under the Resolute Desk. 

During the 2008 Presidential campaign, Democrats fired distortions, defamation and plain old venom at Sarah Palin with abandon.  Her garrulous vigor made her a far more inviting target than the man who would be her boss, John McCain.

Looking back, Obama’s verbal ineptitude (not to mention his professional incompetence) makes both McCain and Palin look positively Ciceronian by comparison.  The Democrats honestly expect us to believe Palin couldn’t have handled Joe Biden’s job?  I’m not convinced Obama can, either.

    However, this song has nothing to do with this article. It is like comparing apples to oranges. Or should I say comparing a “witch to an angel.” Yes, the thrill is gone. Literally. It is time for the politicians to pay the piper. It is time for politicians (a lot of them) to reap what they have sowed. We can no longer put up with the disrepect that has been flung at us. We will no longer be cast aside. We will no longer put up with the dishonesty, the greed, and the inept attitude of the government. We must demand that all politicians respect us for we are the ones that vote them in office. Don’t you think it is way past time that politicians respect America and the people of America and conduct themselves accordingly? They are going to have to straighten up and fly right. No pun intended. They are going to have to realize they will be voted out if they keep playing their games—no more fun and games. This is serious business. We can no longer allow them to abuse their power and the privilege of being elected. I have so many demands now that it will take me a month to send out my letters, emails, etc. but I am going to keep it up. I have no choice–I have to keep after them. I have talked to so many people here in town and within the state of Illinois–it is almost like they have given up, too busy, or they think nothing can be done about the situation. And sometimes it is a struggle for me not to give up. Is it easier to just “go with the flow” and whatever will be will be? No, it isn’t. I will do what I can, it may not help, but I’ll sure give it a go.

      Claire, good post, especially B.B. King. at this point I don’t think most of the politicians care what we think of them. I’m still pissed off about John McCain here in Ariz. I think Henry Ford said we get the Govt. we deserve. I’m really hoping Nov. will make a difference, but, I don’t see anyone worth a damn that represents the people. I believe something is gonna happen that will suspend the election. I feel so much contempt for our lying worthless Govt.

          Al Sieber– If November does not work then it is up to all Americans to do what we have to do. I refer to a huge march on Washington, we will have to become rebels WITH a cause. Literally. Heck, look at Glenn Beck’s rally, he pulled in a lot of perople. I really think we could do the same. It would take a lot of work, and it would be just Americans, no politicians, etc. I’m not talking about civil war. Either that or start filing lawsuits. We could sue for misrepresentation, entrapment—we could surely come up with something. Does anyone have any thoughts on this or am I just being goofy? Heck, they sue for everything else. Geez, I’ll have to check this out. People probably think I am getting desparate. I think I am.

            Bob — The title “March for Jobs” sounds good. Your are right about the unemployed–geez if we did this, it would be awesome. It would be just Americans, no political parties involved, no tea party, and no politicians. No speakers that lean left or right. We would have to remain entirely “neutral.” We would have our own speakers. If we allow any organizations/politicians to become involved, the march would be catagorized as another left or right leaning group. We would make more of an impact just being “ourselves.” Personally I think it is a great idea. Hey we have the courage, the guts, the stamina.

          The threat of all states suceeding from the union would have an effect on their perception of what the people want.Im with you Al I feel there may not be a November election and with that in thought if we succeed then we would be a seperate country when all hell breaks out even the UN would find it hard to attack a country or countries that are not part of there treaties so as to give all of us the time to bring about our nation to what it once was minus one or two states.Just a thought!

            Dan There isn’t enough time to put a plan in action for secession. It would take years because you have to get your state reps to accomplish this. Most of them are too scared to go against the Feds.

        Every election is bought and paid for……they let no one past the conventions or primaries who isn’t an insider and whoever is “elected” has been designated as such. Elections are NOT the answer. They control the results tightly. Apparently Reagan was not meant to get to the oval office and he actually accomplished SOME decent things but they finally had to do the assassination attempt to reel him back in line.

          Hey Ellen, You are absolutly right. There is NO electoral solution to our federal constitutional crisis. Our only hope electorally is in the local and State elections. We can elect local and State representatives who believe in State soveriegnty, individual liberty, and private property. Then maybe we will have State representatives who will stand up to the federal government and tell them to go pound sand when they pass bills that are unconstitutional and over-step their authority.

            And if/when each state elects constitutional conservative statesmen/women and they represent the local and state issues well, then they can be promoted to go to the national level to do good work for the people there.
            However, you will need to straighten out the educational system in each state to start teaching Consitutional law, Free Market Capitalism, and American History from original sources (truth) so that the youth will be proud Americans who love our country ans wish to preserve it and not pervert it.

          I decided long ago that if I was ever foolish enough to run for President and won, the first thing I would do would be to hire my own bodyguards. I wouldn’t trust the ones the government would give me to actually protect my life if those in government decided I wasn’t the “right” man.

          Government in the United States (at all levels) spends 37% of our GDP. The US GDP is $14 Trillion. If we just cut them back 30% (50% would be better), that would put over $4 Trillion back into our economy to revitalize it. That doesn’t even count the efficiencies that would result from getting much of Government (regulations) off the backs of the companies that make our economy tick.

          It’s not just the federal government that interferes with business. It’s state, county and city governments. While I know that I have to pay certain taxes, the cost of regulation gets to be pretty steep also. In states like Washington it’s too hard to conduct business – they are not business friendly and wonder why we are all leaving the state. I was getting taxes to death in that state and my property taxes were eating into my business to the point where I could no longer expand. To further complicate things, the cost of living was higher there. I was also the tax collector for the State (sales tax). I had to pay the sales taxes on goods that I sold each month even though I was not actually paid in that month for the product that was sold. That means that if someone let their bill go 90 days, I was out the sales tax amount that I had to pay the state ahead of actually collecting the money for my product. It got even worse if someone stiffed me and didn’t pay a big bill.

          I now live and run a small business in Texas. Just that move alone saved me numerous city, county, and state taxes. Not to mention the costs for permits from each governmental body that regulated me. Most of the regulations are un-needed and I conduct business in Texas in an ethical and generally lightly regulated manner.

          But the bottom line here is that if I suffer from these business killing moves, how does it affect the bigger guy? How will it affect me if they start the same cycle of tax and regulate here in Texas? Will I have to move my business out of the country to make a decent living or will I just shut my doors and get a job?

            Hell, why don’t we all close up shop here and move to Cuba or some other ex-liberated land. Castro sounds like his epiphany has landed squarely on his head after 6 decades. He’ll robably be overjoyed to have some people who know how and why to work and do what works. I always thought he was just another stupid marxian marionette. At long last we see that, when somebody is in the position of pulling the strings for a few decades, common sense becomes obvious to an astute observer.

            You are right Ted, but the Reichstag burning and Krystalnacht (The night of the broken glass.) were two different events. The Reichstag event did help Hitler attain power, but Krystalnacht was went he had his own goons (Brownshirts, SS, etc.) smash the windows of homes and businesses that were owned by Jews. If we give Obama bin Laden a chance, he’ll try to do the same things here! FOR GOD AND COUNTRY!

            I was under the impression that this was a forum where posters could discuss topics and ideas as well as share their knowledge of what they have learned through much research and studying. I do not claim to know everything, that is God’s job, but am willing to learn what it is I don’t know.
            Obviously, I don’t remember reading about this subject in “grade school” or I wouldn’t have asked Steve. And I must also add that while Teaching six grade “Our World” Social Studies a number of years ago that word never appeared in their textbook, nor do I expect it to appear in my son’s elementary World Geography & History text, either… but the year has just begun and I may find it (NOT) as the year progresses and we read and study.

            If you can’t help someone who is being sincere in seeking knowledge in a respectful manner then you should just pass.

            PS From samuari’s post it appears you don’t know it all either.

            I have been to the Davis Mountains, Ben, and the stars are beautiful in the wee hours of the night. They are just breath taking. Every inch of the sky is covered in stars, galaxies and universes… just awesome like the One who created them! And that is no tall tale.

      Nice post Claire. What scares me is the monied elite that back representatives from both parties. We need to fight a fight in order to get campaign financing back in sync. We should stop foreigners from interfering with out election process through donations. We need to stop national special interest organization from donating the state senate and house races. The only people that should be supporting candidates are American citizens: all people for Presidential elections; and the people of the state who will be represented by the candidate.

      We need to keep lobbyists out of Washington DC and away from all the government Departments and their heads. We need to take the money out of it and I think the races would be a lot more fair.

      In the last Presidential election I contend that Obama surged forward because he had the backing of some pretty powerful fellows including George Soros. It is believed that George even created a lot of the Wall Street and Banking collapse by pulling 50 BILLION from the market two days after Bear Stearns went down. That started the very serious devaluation of the market. At that point in time Obama was behind in the poles but once the collapse started earnest he was suddenly ahead in the poles – because not to waste a crisis -they blamed the Republicans and George Bush.

        I thought that was already illegal!
        However, I’m sure BO got millions via the internet.
        Only American citizens should be allowed to contribute money in an American Election.

        Meteorlady– I harp about the lobbyists and their pork a lot. It is the politicians that keep the lobbyists in there plus their pork that they add to every bill they try to pass. I don’t see how in the world we will ever be able to stop this. I remember when Obama was campaigning-he said he would get rid of the lobbyists. Yeah, he sure did alright. I hate to say this but I don’t think any politician will get rid of the lobbyists.

    To a point I’d say Ben Crystal has it pretty well covered. Obama has finally been exposed. The Dems are hiding from him during this mid term period, he’s being critisized more often by other than FOX media outlets, although they still don’t get the “why” of it.

    Even MSNBC host Chris “I get a tingle down my leg” Matthews took a page out of Dick Cheney’s book and accused the president of “dithering” over Afghanistan.

    “President Obama has his chin out on just about every hot issue out there. Health care. Terror trials. Job losses.” Matthews began. He then launched a series of aggressive questions going after many of the president’s recent decisions.

    “Is he just too darned intellectual? Too much the egghead? Why did he bow to that Japanese emperor? Why did he pick Tim Geithner to be his economic front-man? Why all this dithering over Afghanistan? And who thought it was a wonderful idea to bring the killers of 9/11 to New York City, the media capital of the world, so they could tell their story?”

    Even Keith Olbermann, who has been one of the most swooning and often uncritical admirers of Barack Obama of anyone in the country, spent some time emphatically lambasting Obama and Eric Holder’s DOJ for the Obama administration’s use of the radical Bush/Cheney state secrets doctrine and their claim of “sovereign immunity” to insist that courts lack the authority to decide whether the Bush administration broke the law in illegally spying on Americans.
    Olbermann also attacked Obama for replicating and surpassing some of the worst Bush/Cheney abuses of executive power and secrecy claims which reflects just how extreme is the conduct of the Obama DOJ.

    Rachel Maddow took President Obama to task in a big way for his lack of advocacy on gay rights, particularly the Pentagon’s ‘Don’t Ask Don’t Tell’ policy.

    You know it’s bad when Matthews, Olbermann and Maddow say somethig negative about Obama. It obviously was a mental lapse on their part.

And if the court has the right to try an ex-President for something done while in office, they have the right to try anyone else too – including the present President and staff.

The billions freely given to GM and Chrysler with virtually no help from the unions,CEOs, the immense bailout of Freddie, Fannie, AIG et al have been ruinous to an already battered economy. Add Obamacare and even more to the teachers and other unions and you have a piece de resistance for a beggars’ banquet. Republicans or Democratics, what real difference will any of them make? When the worldwide population of them grows to a high enough ratio versus normal humanity God will have to send Jesus Christ back to claim what he earned…the kingdom God promised him a long time ago.

          In the Old Testament times, if they brought this stuff to the Israelites, they were commanded to deal sharply with them to keep the nation clean. Today, we are expected to handle such things through cultural and civil systems. But, since we are no longer a nation of laws (nor a world of reasonable order) God will at some point act according to His good pleasure and what He decides is “reality”.

        “Facts” change all the time, according to circmstances.
        “Truths” are immutable and their interplay governs conditions which we experience as “facts”.
        I doubt Obambi knows any truths but he’s a master of the “grays”.

      Until Americans figure out that candidates are sold like boxes of cereal they will never be smart enough to vote.

      Most never once checked into any of the facts that were presented to them when he was running. There were voices that presented some real facts, but most people were too lazy to check the accuracy of the “facts” of the campaign ads and even the media outlets.

      Until people start meeting and questioning the people that are running to represent them, we are prone to the same thing that just happened with Obama. A classed up box of cereal was sold to the American public. That great looking box of cereal had a lot of stuff wrong that no one ever looked inside to see.

I’ve been listening but no Islamic scholar has come forward to deny or refute what’s written in their Book of Peace.

            You are exactly right! That happened starting with Johnson. The South used to be strick Democrat and were since before the Civil War. The Dems used to be conservative. But in basically one generation the Democrats changed all that when they decided to buy all the minority votes by taxing the workers. Now the South is basically all conservative (not necessarily GOP) and the Dems can’t understand why. The only reason the North is basically Dems now is because the unions found they could more easily bribe the Dem leaders than the GOP and the unions told their people how to vote. Me thinks the Democrats have strayed from defending people’s rights to taking from taxpayers to give to deadbeats, illegals, criminals, drug addicts and those the can work but won’t.

          My father considered food stamps and welfare charity and was too proud to apply to take them. He sometimes worked two jobs just to keep our family afloat. So, that’s how I grew up and prospered – learning from my Democratic parents. Now the closest party I can find to my, and my parents ideals, is Libertarian.

Every week without fail, they would they travel 30 miles one way, to my Grandparents home with boxes of foo to keep them going. Later, in life_ I remember as child when my grand mother could barely get around anymore, insisted on going to Aunt Annies every week, to see if there was anything she needed.__It didn’t matter, Dems or Repubs, back then people took care of one another!

    While I’m proud to say that I had “The Big O” pretty much figured out before he took office, this is one time I wish that my ability to judge character was wrong.

    There are a small minority of those we call “Liberal” who sincerely believe in the altruistic ideals they claim to espouse. Hell, who wouldn’t like to see an end to all of the world’s problems?

    But, in my experience, a great deal of these people are simply “posers” and don’t practice what they preach. Kind of like those who joined the 60s “Peace, Love, yada-yada” movement with the ulterior motive of “getting laid”.

      I raised by kids by discussing politics with them and with their mother. If they had a question, they were encouraged to ask it and I would then explain what it was. They saw that I made a mistake once in awhile but they also saw that most of the time I was right. As a result when they were exposed to the liberal beliefs in college, they were amused – and they still vote conservative today. And they aren’t afraid to let the liberals know what is wrong with their theories.

      One couple I knew when I was young always springs to mind when I think of liberals. They had a son about the same time I had my first one. In discussion one day, the father said that they were no going to allow their son to have any “violent” toys like army men or toy guns. And they were not going to allow him to see any violence on tv or in the movies. “And when he grows up the whole world will be peaceful as a result.”

      It sort of shocked me. After a moment, I said, “It is a good wish but there is one thing wrong with it. If even one person is not taught the same way anywhere in the world, he will act differently that what everyone like your son expects – and they will be harmed.”

      “No one will do that,” he assured me.

      I looked at him a moment. “Well, I can assure you that your entire theory won’t work. I am going to teach my own son how to defend himself and be the meanest SOB around. So your entire thing is shot right there.”

      He never spoke to us again. And I didn’t miss him at all.

    The boy in the White House is doing so much stammering because he’s always been surrounded by a bunch of fawning sycophants telling him he’s the smartest guy around. To have any criticism at all comes as a great shock to both him and his teleprompter.

    He was certain that a few carefully crafted speeches would have swung the electorate his way by now and really doesn’t understand why that hasn’t happened. He was able to bring cheers as a community organizer in Chicago, preaching to small crowds of the ignorant. He fails to understand that the average American is much more informed and intelligent than he expected. He also fails to understand that the days of giving one message at a stop along the way and a different one just a whistle stop away are long gone.

    The boy is just starting to understand that the truth eventually comes out and when it does and you’ve been caught equivocating, there’s no flowery language that can repair the damage.

    People are finally seeing what our President is made of and the hard questions are finally being asked of him and he is falling flat on his face. The Presidents own initiatives are starting to backfire; i.e. HCR because we the people were sold a bill of goods (shoved) the politicians didn’t know and or even understand themselves. The MSM is finally asking the tuff questions and right now they don’t like the answers their getting from Obama and Axelrod.

    Democrats are going to take a white washing in November, Nancy will loose her seat as House Leader, her constituents will keep her in her seat in the house of representatives (so sad), San Francisco bay area deserves better representation! Now Barbarra Boxer is in trouble, I hope Californians have learned their lesson and vote to retire her. I use to live in Vallejo, a quiet military town/suburb of Oakland and San Francisco, until the base was closed and four other facilities across the state. El Torro was closed along with Mare Island, Alameda Naval Air Station, Oaknoll Naval Hospital and finally Concord Naval Weapons Station, all closed with the help of Barbarra Boxer and Diane Finstein. Thousand upon thousand of local jobs lost, those communities have never recoverd from the lost income from each and every base closed down. Vallejos city budgit 75% went to union police, firefigthers, teachers and EMS personnel causing the city to file for bankruptcy protection in 2009. I have a very good HS friend who still lives in Vallejo; in a past letter he sent me he stated the police do not go into certin parts of town due to his words, gangs and drug dealers because they controll their little part of town. All types of crime are on the increase cause businesses to leave schools to shut down, finally people are leaving only because the police won’t do their job plus they can’t find jobs to maitain their quality of life.

    Currently the state of California has over a 20 billion dollar budgit deficit and an unemployment rate exceeding 12%, people are loosing their homes and moving into tent city’s across the state. Now we see why when you take from the haves to give to the have nots eventually you run out of other peoples money and in Californias case, it’s been proven. Obamas HCR is case in point, eventually HCR will take from all of us, bankrupting this country. I dread the day when it happens but also hope and pray it never happens, right now all the fingers are pointing in that direction, we still have time to change our direction. On November 2nd we the people need to go to the poles and change the course of this country, we have to take back AMERICA and make it great once more.

      Back when the first illegal amnesty was made, California was 2 billion in the hole and so was NY city. The government bailed them out. I said at the time it was a mistake.

      And I was right. The politicians in California and New York immediately began to borrow to finance every little thing they wanted – with the expectation that the Feds (everyone NOT in their areas) would bail them out again. Frankly, I’d prefer to see both go bankrupt and see what would happen then. It might scare enough people into stopping the excess spending in their own states and in the nation.

    I love this guy!! I will say that my then 21 year old son and I listened to a campaign speech about October of 08. After he was finished my son looked at me and said “What did he just say”.         The Dems have been in control of Congress so long that the Repubs have had to learn to work with them and make deals to get anything done. But when the Repubs took over, the Dems were at a loss – and the Repubs decided to pass all the stuff the Dems wouldn’t let them do instead of trying to cut back on what the Dems had done.

        The problem is that the Repubs are conditioned from long use to letting the Dems have their way. We need new Repubs as well as new Dems to insure that they no longer do that.

Incidently, he got THREE bandade Purple Hearts. He knew when he went that the military would send home anyone with three Purple Hearts so he went with the full intention of getting them.       Actually, what I’d like to see is a “None of the Above” choice on the ballots. And if it won, they had to start the election over with someone else in each party. Of course that would probably mean it would take twenty years or more to elect a new President … but that might not be all that bad at that.

        They also treat it like it is royalty. I don’t remember her exact words but Mrs. Oblama said that it was time to get a little more dazzle in the White House. So they have monthly dinners with live entertainers (which we pay for) to show how royal they are.     U.S. business went to China to get cheaper goods. They did not use American management methods to keep the prices for them low. They did not protect American workers by purchasing goods that paid workers for 40 hours only, not the 60 actually worked.
    The U.S. companies did not train the Chinese management in fair accounting methods and fair employee work conditions. On an employment interview with a large computer manufacturing company in Shanghai to teach Chinese managers better communication English. When leaving the main office building, I encountered an American visitor that asked why I was there. Chinese host, “We wanrt to teach our managemnt better English for communicating. He is not too smart.” American, “He looks pretty smart to me. Why did you not ask us for help.”

Slowly but surely the middle class and poor have been paying bigger ratio of their income in taxes, salaries have been stagnant or lost while corporations and their CEOs are showing record profits/golden parachutes. This is not good for any of US, folks! This has rendered US, w/global ripple affects, in outrageous conditions.

    History has taught US that we had to reign in the concentrated wealth and power of the corporations after the first Great Depression. We can do it again!

    We’ve got to pay attention to and support who is standing up to this corporate power w/soundly debated solutions that invest in exponential US profits and vote out those that are protecting corporate power w/solutions based on paranoia, that obviously doesn’t care about our sustainable well being.

The Government has grown ever-larger under both Republicans and Democrats and is being spurred on by the masses who want something for nothing from the Government.     I am so glad to read that there are some smart people in this country that I love so much!!! If we don’t all run,not walk,to vote in Nov. and get rid of these that are draining this country dry, then we are in great trouble. We need to talk to everyone aboutgetting rid of the blood suckers in Washington and put some people in that won’t spend us to death. It is the old people who will suffer the most over Obamacare (or is that Obamaidon’t care?) so they will most all be willing to vote, but may not be able to drive–offer to give them a ride. Help get all votes out possible!!! I have always been taught that you don’t spend what you don’t have and that credit cards are dangerous because they sometimes lure us into overspending.     What appears to be a very bleak moment for the man-child occupying 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, he realizes that things are really beginning to backfire on him and his allies on Capitol Hill. The “blame Bush” scheme is really so worn out now that he cannot blame anyone else but himself. He has been living in this Utopian world, thinking he could transform America, believing that the American People are dumb and stupid by keeping our guard down while he is shoving all his socialist crap down our throats. The man-child has clearly underestimated the American People by believing that Power by the People does not exist.

    Trouble is brewing in Washington where many insiders will be voted out this November, which may include a significant number of career politicians in both parties who have sided with this administration while receiving support by a number of interest groups. Those who are re-elected will be those who have listened to their constituents. When the man-child complained during a speech in an attempt to ridicule Congressman John Boehner (R-Ohio) by ranting on like he usually does by saying, “he just says ‘no’!” Little does he realize, it is the People who said “no” and not just Congressman Boehner. The congressman listened to and agreed with his constituents by making their message heard loud and clear.

    Both the 110th and 111th Congresses by far have the worst leadership overall. The 110th came into session during the second midterm of the Bush administration, led by a bunch of crass hypocrites – one from San Francisco and the other from Nevada – who helped bring in this current administration and the super majority to the 111th Congress, which is the most radical bunch that turned Washington into a virtual cesspool. Well, their time has come! Already they have lost key allies like Ted Kennedy, John Murtha and Robert Byrd whose time on Earth expired. Others were voted out during the primaries while the remaining are now faced with uphill battles when it was learned that they sided too much with this administration, the leadership in Congress, and interest groups, especially on the healthcare issue, while showing ignorance toward their constituents, which will make their chances of re-election extremely remote.

    The death knell is already tolling away as November nears for many of the vanquished leftist politicians who will leave in complete silence and disgrace amid the throngs of happy and jubilant American People who will gather outside and really give their good-byes. What will happen in the 112th Congress remains to be seen and it may look disappointing for the man-child and his administration.

We both know it’s topsy-turvy here in this once glorious state that was called the “Dream State” that, overnight, became known as the “State of Nightmares” when you have irresponsible lawmakers in the State Legislature just fifteen minutes up the road from my home who believe in all this baloney that they hear from these Green groups who have been flocking here over the last thirty years and dominating politics, which is why Boxer has so many political allies here who will do all they can to get that Marin County Midget re-elected with the help of Washington insiders, despite her growing unpopularity with many California voters. I try to remain optimistic and upbeat as best as I can in hopes that Carly Fiorina will pull out a stunning upset to unseat Boxer. I sort of have this feeling that she will now that I’m going with the odds.

      As for Governor “Moonbeam”, I’ve been listening to more Meg Whitman campaign ads than Brown ads. So many people that I’ve talk to who recall the moment Ronald Reagan left office in 1975 when California was in the black was quickly brought down into the red under Brown. Many businesses and prominent people left for other states or other countries during those eight years. Admittedly, Brown said he did not know what he was doing and I believe he still is incoherent of the job in Sacramento and would definitely drive California into oblivion. As mayor of Oakland, he did not do anything to stem the uncontrollable crime rate as homicides continued to rise dramatically in that city under his watch.

      I still feel that Whitman will be the next governor since she has outspent Brown with her own money for campaign purposes. One would have to be a complete fool to bring Brown back behind the desk of the Governor’s office, especially with his record as governor when he appointed ultra-liberal judges to the highest judicial seats like he did when he appointed Rose Bird as Chief Justice of the California Supreme Court who was known to commute death sentences of some of the most violent convicts to life without the possibility of parole. I was among the majority of voters back in the 1980s that gave Bird her walking papers and brought in Governor George Deukmejian appointee Malcolm Lucas to replace her.

      Sorry, but we are already out of those problems. Any failed policies Bush had can be immediately corrected by Oblama – who hasn’t bothered. That tells me that they were either good policies or Oblama likes them too. For instance Bush set up the Homeland Security. I said it was wrong then and all Oblama has done there since only makes it clearer that it is still wrong. But he hasn’t gotten rid of it, has he?

      Since Oblama has NOT corrected some of those problems, then they now belong to Oblama. He’s had almost two years now to correct them but chose not to do it.

      After all, when Bush came in, there were a lot of Clinton problems too. But he didn’t blame Clinton; he just tried to clean up the problems. Oblama hasn’t bothered – which makes all those problems his. And, to make things worse, all Oblama has tried to do only makes everything worse as well.

When Bush left office jobs was being lost at a great pace, they are not back yet but the policy of NAFTA passed by a republician congress and signed by Clinton started sending jobs to other countries and tax payer money went to companies who sent the jobs elsewhere. The deregulations allowed the scums to steal and then walk away with big bonus for doing so. These are failed republician policies, they failed.

          The fact is is that six of the eight years Clinton was in office was mostly controlled by a majority Republican Congress. His first two years in office spelled disaster with the Tom Foley-led Democrat-controlled 103rd Congress with the Dems constantly bickering back and forth and did not get anything passed, especially their championed Retro Tax bill that failed, which I was thankful, to pass through Legislature in 1994, which would have raised taxes to an exorbitant amount. As a result of all this constant fighting and exchange of words among party members the Dems imploded upon themselves that caused them to lose the majority where a lot of them were unseated including Tom Foley by their constituents at the polls.

          Had the Dems maintained control during the midterm elections of November 1994 for the 104th Congress, the outcome would have been different and Clinton might have served only one term. Obviously you failed to see this!

      First of all there was some good about the Bush administration. Taxes went down, unemployment was at around 4.7 when he took office. Unemployment started to rise in 2003 as the effects of the Clinton signed NAFTA and Free Trade with China agreements when into effect. At that point we began to loose jobs overseas and it moved to 6%. In 2001 and 2003 Bush started the tax cuts that were generally considered pretty fair – decreased proportionately each tax payers burden. So in 2006, as the effects of those tax cuts started working the unemployment rate dropped to 4.6%. Bush also had the deficit coming down until 2006 when the Democrats gained control and started spending again. I do, though blame Bush for not vetoing the free spenders requests.

      Two of the most oft-cited objections to the Bush tax cuts by the left are that it helped only the rich and it was largely responsible for the federal deficit at the end of the Bush presidency. Instead, it is true that if the current administration allows any or all of the Bush tax cuts to expire, economic growth will be slowed and tax revenue could actually decrease, perpetuating our deficit dilemma.

      I’m pretty sure I didn’t whine at all but hey, if you think you can save the Obama administration by putting Bush down – you can’t.

      My senior Democratic Senator says he saw Obama’s birth certificate, and swears it was the genuine original thing. Just ask him. The witnesses were all clustered in a tight group so nobody but them could see.

      Just check with Senator Baucus. 202-224-2651 He can tell you he personally saw it, and it was the genuine original article. And he should know a genuine original Hawaii birth certificate if anybody would.

The NE part of the USA is loaded with green idoits. What the banks are doing is something to meddle with private industry and everyday living. USDA is trying to gain control slowly getting control of all land and even rain puddles thru land use programs. Today the hopeful sign up on a decade or more sign up on the land idling Wildlife program, is hoping to put millions back under the government control but with way more intrusive controlling handling. For every mile square of farm ground the owner will make the minium of $30,000 a year for going to the mail box for one program, and there are several programs. Still think ag land owners are poor. Not if they farm the governemnt, just like welfare mothers, why get a job.Do away with Dapt. of Ag., ED., Energy, EPA just a few to start with.

I cannot deny that the election, as most, was either bought or fixed but the People can prevent that by reducing voter fraud on a state by state basis. We must undo our tolerance for communists and other America-haters protected by our unlimited freedoms – think: all the Communists and “Progressives”, ACLU, Nazi collaborator George Soros, ACORN, ad nauseum, and start to miss and revive and revere the Sen. Joseph McCarthies who tried to rid us of our enemies within. Treason is treason and should be illegal and a capital offense. Ditto Terrorism, wherever it comes from. War is not a game. In order to win everyone must do their part and join in the fight. Get off your duffs – the price of Liberty is eternal vigilance. Peace and freedom through strength and this means a strong military always. Remove the traitors in the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of Federal and State and local governments and downsize, downsize and downsize some more. We can do it. (remember, in the 1700′s we took on England and won.) There are far more of us than them; they infiltrated into our society but like all vermin they can be caught and exterminated. Educate yourselves and think – learn from history which is a repetition and very predictable. Doesn’t Obama remind you of Hitler in the 1930′s? Or Stalin.       Sen. H.H.Humphrey was the one who was head of the Senate Committee to arrange peace in Vietnam. He met with ‘Meet the Press’ on this. During the discussion/questions, one reporter said something about the time being wasted on discussion of a meeting place. Humphrey said that the time didn’t matter; what did was to see if the Vietcong (actually North Vietnam) was interested in peace. A surprised reporter said, “But Senator Humphery, do you have any idea how many soldiers are being killed every day in Vietnam why your committee does this?”

      His reply? “I have no idea how many are killed – but it really doesn’t matter as long as we can get the credit for arranging a peace.”

      They showed this on the military TV in Vietnam every day for a month to make sure all of us had a chance to see it. I credit that with his loss when he ran for President. Too many of us remembered it (when he ran based on arranging a “peace”) and told our families and friends.

      Incidently, it is taught in history books our kids study in school now that he and the other Senators on the committee were “heroes” for arranging a ‘truce’ long enough to pull out our soldiers who had lost the war.

    Lewis Munn, just go down to the ASUS Office in the county seat and take any ground, tickle it for 3 years or if you can find some that is real worthless that has been farmed or tickled for at least 3 years. You don’t have to produce anything even weeds, just sign up for a decade at least. The lazier you are and more of a couch lizard the better you will fit in at the card room and pool hall. Plus you can still work at Wal-Mart with no deductions.

    The thing that would allow people to slay me now is Obama, realizing that he’s totally over his head, would resign, become a libertarian, and leave the White House. And say something like: “I’m too smart for this stupid job.”

    Obama is aging faster than a 60 year old man “getting some” 5 times a day. He also looks tired, worn out, AND OLD! Man is he old.       I have been saying the same thing for years simply to be called mean by many but as I explained to many,I stick to my principles and believe in calling a spade a spade and for all the light headed liberals out there who want to make a racist comment about this last sentence, be my guest, it simply means I am being blunt.
      The political correctness that has been plaguing America is border line censorship of free speech and meaning of words have become so distorted by the left that half of the time common sense people have no clue to what they’re talking about.
      . One example would be the word “compassion”, this word has been thrown around as a crutch for the liberal agenda…sorry folks but I have NO compassion for criminals and people out to hurt our country and its citizens, I also have NO problems with people of different color I do however have a problem with their attitude and will fight tooth and nails against it, if it makes me a racist to the eyes of the loons willing sink the most beautiful country in world just for appearances , than so be it.

    If I were president I’d throw the U.N out of the US and withdraw membership.I build the worlds largest military base that would stretch along the entire US-Mexican border.I’d declare English as the official language of this nation.I’d change the national anthem to God Bless America..I’d make it illegal to export American jobs.I’d tell China to piss off.I certainly would’nt put up with Iran or N.Koreas bs..but I really would’nt want to be president…it seems that the office has been tarnished and has become as big a joke as the Nobel peace prize.

      I cannot agree with you more, John. The United Nations are all a bunch of hypocrites and America haters anyway. Proves one thing that the U.N. resort to cowardice. The Korean War was a U.N. deployment that fouled things up that kept the communist North in existence, which is still a big threat to the South. Whatever subsequent war America was involved in, members of the U.N. criticizes the U.S. as being the aggressors rather than liberators as they show sympathy toward hostile regimes they claim as being treated badly.

      When communism was a big threat to the free world during the Cold War years, the U.N. helped bolster it’s very existence by allowing it to spread to other countries. The same now applies to militant Islamic extremists, Sharia Law and Jihad embraced by the U.N. It explains the reason why the U.N. is keeping the world a dangerous place to live when they are protecting rather than condemn hostile activities. This organization is a big threat to our freedom and sovereignty when it is practically run by goons like Ahmadinejad and Chavez who spit out their venom of hatred on the United States.

      Also, it is the United Nations who support amnesty for the millions of illegals already in our nation and demand that our borders be kept open to allow more illegals to come in, including drug traffickers, human smugglers, kidnappers and other hardcore criminals.

      It would be up to many of us to stand up and kick that organization off U.S. soil, which has never solved any crisis only to increase the problems more like a cancer. Personally, I would like to see the U.N. dissolved as well as NATO and other international organizations.

    For a group of people who were supposedly so articulate during the
    2008 campaign, all of them, ie: Obama, Gibbs, Axelrod, and other
    propagandists seem to take two minutes or more to express a fifteen
    second sound bite. The sound of their stuttering and stammering is
    deafening. I used to wonder what my grandfather meant by the phrase
    “EDUCATED FOOLS”, but now I realize that it meant people that are
    educated far beyond their inteligence level.

    I may sound ignorant because I just read a very few of your ideas at the beginning of this. Everyone wants action but, unless mentioned more into this interesting mail, few know what to do. I saw what looks like a great idea to me. I believe that it was in San Jose, Calif? they recently held an impeach Obama rally. It was lightly attended but these brave people have an idea that, if it would catch on, would work miracles. If all of you here that have organizing would get it going, & it grew big enough, congress would listen to us.
    I wish that I had ability but I wouldn’t know how to start. I fear that this country will not last until 2012. Unless the way that the country is turning against him would curb his courage, I believe that he plans to declare a national emergency & appoint himself to oversee it. He is the one that caused the damage but he will try to convince you that you can’t change in the middle of the crisis. We can talk all that we want to but action is going to be required to get results.
    If impeach Obama rallies were being held all over the country they would get noticedl. Like the lesson my class was given in grammar school. Take a bundle of sticks & try to break it in two and you can’t, but take them one at a time & you can break them all. Or live one of our national mottos says: “Together we stand; divided we fall.”
    Please, any of you with the talent try to get something like this goin while we are still free enough to do it!
