Root then sets out to prove that Obama is committing “tax fraud” by claiming that taxes are too low. In reality, they are too darn high. Obama has an agenda: to tax us until it hurts, leaving us with fewer dollars to fund conservative or capitalist causes.

    This is the first time I’ve ever heard Wayne speak. I love the info! So many politicians try and spin the truth and try to fool us into thinking that they are for “the people”. There is an awakeining going on in this country and around the world. The elitist’s are getting scared and trying to break this country and once again shift world powers to another regime that can be manipulated, fooled and once again be indebted to the world banking system. They may succeed in breaking us but when push comes to shove, we will not turn against our fellow man but against the system that put us there.

        Thank you Freedom fighter! I hadn’t gotten around to posting that. Agenda 21 is taking our land, wealth and freedom. I am fighting the local system here in San Berdardino County California. It starts with your County Supervisors office and the planning department. Rosa Koirie(?) wrote the book “Behind the Green Mask”. She is actually a liberal democrat. But it comes down to this. No matter what side of the political fence you are on, or side issues you have, IF ” AGENDA 21″ is allowed to continue, YOU and I will have NO choices or freedoms PERIOD. She is fighting the Agenda 21. I’m always happy to see good people no matter what party fight the important issues.” AGENDA 21″ and the people implementing it IS part of the MAIN ROOT or Head of the snake to be dealt with to fix MOST all of our problems.         Not only those things above but people better get used to the idea forwarded by Obama in the last two weeks that he is ready to substitute his ideas about “religion”, “morality”, “ethics” and basic right and wrong on all of us. What he did over the “contraception” vs “the Catholic Church” move signals his intent to impose his idea of “what ought to be” regardless of what anybody else holds as moral or godly or ungodly or anything else. Face it, he is setting up a “government religion” with beliefs by decree. What we are heading for, unless he is stopped, is back into the dark ages where the government and the state religion acted in concert against (or upon) the subjects. He is erecting, or will do so, a wall between “Government Religion” and “your religion (whatever kind of philosophy you hold)”. You will not be a citizen under such a regime you will be a subject.

We could all agree to meet in WA-DC and march into the “House” & tell him he’s been recalled and fired. I don’t think they could stop a “million man march” on fixing this country….

        Bad?? It would be great to have no federal government. It would save us from unthinking, arbitrary rules and requirements which do nothing. The USA is on the edge of bankruptcy, if not functionally bankrupt already. There is no need to rules, regulations and other petty laws which are meaningless and highly costly.

        My guess is that this entire house of cards will come tumbling down during the presidency of the next person to hold office. A nation in debt to the tune of (how many?) trillions of dollars will survive only as long as the air doesn’t escape from the big ballon. It’s always happens, so get ready; one – two – three — POP!

        Totally agree with you, Freedom Fighter. But take it one step further. The evil, lying, stealing one is going to further agenda21 by getting us into a nuclear war with iran. That way, he and all the elite can hide out in the underground shelters that WE paid for and when it is over, the population will be reduced to where they want it and they can start over without the rest of us. I believe that prayer is the only thing that can save us. I don’t think we’ve ever had to face such evil before. He is directly from satan. And those of you who don’t think so??? The Republican advocate Government to stay away from Peoples lifes but in Virginia the Republican Governor wants to put a probe in a womans virgina in the name of preventing arbotion.What ever happen to the Government to stay away from our lifes???         Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.
        Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?
        Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?
        You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The president does.
        You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
        You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does.
        You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.
        You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
        One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.
        I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.
        I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason.. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don’t care if they offer a politician $1 million Dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator’s responsibility to determine how he votes.

        Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

        What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits.. The president can only propose a budget.
        He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

        The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

        It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted — by present facts — of incompetence and irresponsibility if not treason. I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
        If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair.
        If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red ..
        If the Army &Marines are in IRAQ, it’s because they want them in
        If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it’s because they want it that way.
        There are no insoluble government problems.
        Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power.
        Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like “the economy,” “inflation,” or “politics” that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
        Preserve the Constitution of the United States of America!

        Those 545 people and they alone, are responsible.
        And should be held accountable! When regular citizens break the law, they go to jail, as should all of those elected officials who have sold America and our people to a Communist nation.
        Every elected official who has been part of this scheme to destroy America must be held accountable.
        The list is long, but it’s not too late to bring them to justice. Any elected official past and present that has been a member of the Council on Foreign Relations should be brought to trial for treason!
        Every member of the CFR is responsible for our current crisis, and that is where our battle begins.

        They, and they alone, have the power.
        They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.
        Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

        Stupid. Fair share is flat tax and that includes you, me and everyone else. Invading Iraq was a bipartisan decision, Extending unemployeement benefits past 26 weeks is theft from tax payers. Welfare is easily controlled, make them work up and down the nations highways doing whatever needs to be done, beautify america with resources available instead of giving it to them, Watch the welfare rolls decrease come August.         You are right. Many years ago now, there was a push to get welfare people working as highway repairmen. They hired about twenty in the area I lived in. Two months later (summer) only two were still working and one of those was going to quit to go to college.

        A town in Maryland tried this about 1965-70. They simply hired every person in town on welfare and put them to work picking up paper at minimum wage. Six months later there were only two in town still working at this. The rest had found better paying jobs.

        Were you aware that if you calculate out the amount a welfare recipient is getting that in most states they are being paid better than $8 an hour to sit at home? No wonder they laugh at those who work convenient store jobs or farm jobs!

        The International Banking Cartel is the New World Order
        My belief in the existence of the New World Order centers around the activities, actions and writings of the members of the elite (mostly Anglo-American) inside the international banking cartel – which of course includes the Rockefeller and Rothschild families – over roughly the last century.

        This cartel, through their financing of two World Wars; the revolutions of Lenin/Stalin and Hitler, among others; the creation of the IMF, World Bank and other private “central banks” like the Federal Reserve and the Bank of England; as well as their backing of international organizations like the United Nations, World Health Organization, World Trade Organization has sought to control not only the purse strings of the governments of the world, but also the policies, laws and programs that those governments and agencies implement.
        Through their financing of both sides of wars (WWI and II, Cold War, War on Drugs, War on Terror, etc); their manufacture of financial crisis (Great Depression, the coming Greater Depression) and financing of ideological movements (eugenics/population control, feminism, communism, fascism, global warming, etc) the banking cartel has sought to undercut the political, economic and social sovereignty of nations around the world. As a result, their IMF, World Bank and other central bank proxies have managed to put nation after nation in massive debt to them. And as a result, they can further manipulate and control the governments (and citizens) of those nations to further enact their goal of a global government and banking system run – by them and for them – at the expense of all of humanity.

        IMO, the New World Order is not a Jewish thing, it’s not a religious thing, it’s not even solely a money thing (although money is its greatest weapon). It instead is a control thing. They banking elite want to be able to control the globe and everyone in it.

        However, as many who attempt to debunk the New World Order exists have said, nationalism and traditional political and ethnic hostilities have hampered the cartel’s quest for a one world government. Because of this, Russia, China and renegade states like Iran and Venezuela remain largely on the fringes of the NWO’s inner circle. Russia and China are both too big (unlike Iraq, Afghanistan, Panama) and potentially valuable to the cause to ignore or wipe out. But while political and economic relations exist between the western powers and the two outsiders; the potential for conflict with Russia and China in Eurasia or Africa remain very real.

        Throughout the last century, the countries and political leaders that refused to play ball with the banking cartel got their asses kicked. Unfortunately, in the post-WWII world, the United States (both covertly and overtly) has been doing most of the ass kicking for the cartel. And we are in debt up to our eyeballs and our Constitution is hanging by a thread because of it (more on that later). Of course, we see the lesser “outsiders” Iran and Venezuela cozy up to Russia and China and use it to their advantage to thwart the banking cartel’s attempts to have the U.S., or other pro-cartel, military force take them out.

        But, just as it was in the World Wars and the Cold War, the banking cartel benefits if any conflict (short of all-out thermonuclear war) takes place between major and even lesser powers. That’s because war – and the debt that follows it – makes them more money. And it also allows the cartel to step in and offer a “solution” for a peaceful future once hostilities are over, as they did with the United Nations and the Bretton Woods economic makeover after World War II.

        Of course the United Nations, through the corporate media, has largely been painted ineffective to this point. But that ineffectiveness is only on the surface. When it comes to controlling the third world via their population control, medical and economic programs – which are full of systematic graft and corruption – the success of the UN has been tremendous because they “control” the third world by keeping it in the political and economic sh—– while their resources are being stripped right out from under the very people the UN is supposed to be helping.

        But, as money is the NWO’s greatest weapon, and nationalism and traditional nation-state and religious strife is painted as a major threat to its goals (it’s not of course, because as Smedley Butler said “War Is A Racket”). The biggest threat to the New World Order and their aims is the belief of personal liberty and the political self-determination that comes with it; which has stemmed largely from the United States since we were still colonies under British control.
        That doctrine – which the whole of good humanity has aspired to and dreamed of for two centuries – and the future of what it entails is where We the People of the United States come in. What the banking cartel has been doing to other nations – engineered economic collapse via their economic hitmen and Wall Street jackals – is now being done to the United States. Our economy is being systematically destroyed through unprecedented debt via the private Federal Reserve. The goal – as it was in other countries who refuse to yield to global government – is to completely collapse the U.S. economy. Then – through the civil unrest and economic carnage that follows the collapse – install a centrally dominated, dictatorial government where, in the case of the United States, the Constitution and Bill of Rights no longer exist.

        You can see now through the corporate media how anyone who questions the government and their policies as being painted as a potential terrorist. Department of Homeland Security has labeled citizens on the left and right side of the political spectrum as threats. The Department of Defense has said that protest is terrorism. Opponents of the Federal Reserve system are labeled extremists or kooks. And the legislation aimed at exposing its agenda is being ignored, despite its overwhelming support on Capitol Hill and on Main Street. And once again, just as they did with the stimulus – the banking cartel is engaging in economic terrorism – promising total economic collapse if a full open audit of the Federal Reserve takes place.

        From the Patriot Act I and II, the Military Commissions Act, the John Warner Defense Authorization Act – to the current Hate Crimes, Cap and Trade and Cyber Security bills in Congress – the banking cartel and their political whores in Washington D.C. and elsewhere in our nation seek to destroy our founding doctrine and put us under the thumb of the most oppressive, controlled and tax heavy government in American history.

        The longtime goal of the banking cartel and their agents in the U.S. government and corporate whore media is the total destruction of the American Republic. The cartel cannot complete their NWO agenda if We the People are running around touting our Constitution and Bill of Rights as a beacon of freedom for all of humanity to aspire to.
        The banking cartel hates the Constitution. They hate the fact that it says – in Article 1, Section 7, that only Congress has the power:
        “To coin money, regulate the value thereof, and of foreign coin, and fix the standard of weights and measures”

        The banking cartel hates the 1st Amendment:
        “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

        They hate the 2nd Amendment:

        “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”

        They hate the 4th Amendment:
        “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

        They hate the 9th Amendment:

        “The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.”

        They hate the 10th Amendment:

        “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.”

        And they would really hate if we removed the 16th Amendment, which by the way is quite likely the only amendment they love:

        “The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several states, and without regard to any census or enumeration.”

        They banking cartel hates the Constitution and those who believe in it, because we stand together in direct opposition to everything they seek in the United States and worldwide. And they hate that for the last 200-plus years, every human being seeking freedom and a better way of life for themselves, their family and their respective countries have looked to the American Republic and our founding doctrine and dream that one day they too can bring “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” to their part of the world.

        As many of you know, former Fed chairman Alan Greenspan recently said on national T.V. that the Federal Reserve is above the law and answerable to no one including Congress.

        He said it, on national TV, just like Second National Bank of the United States chairman, Nicholas Biddle, wrote it back in the 1830’s (The following pages come directly from Arthur Schlesinger’s Pulitzer Prize winning book, “The Age of Jackson”).

        The Federal Reserve isn’t above the law. No one in the United States is above the law. And it will be up to We the People to restore the rule of law to our land and punish Alan Greenspan, Ben Bernanke and the rest of the banking cartel and political scum who have brought the United States to the brink of financial ruin.

        As trends forecaster Gerald Celente has stated:
        “The fight that this country has been waging since its inception is for the central bankers not to take over the country.”

        Thomas Jefferson warned of the central bank evils in 1791:

        Median Household Income in 2010 adjusted for inflation was $49,445.
        That’s a loss of 7% in those 11 years, when in fact due to greater productivity brought on by the Internet and other recent technologies we should have had a dramatic gain.
        We don’t because Big Government is siphoning our money away faster than we can make up for their wasteful spending with increased productivity.

        That is a shame that the working man’s and woman have gone down so thanks for pointing that out. Yes the American laborer is receiving less for working harder and longer hours. Yet those upper incomes have increased their wages by 7% and even upward to 13% as of late last year. Considering that stocks shot up over the last two years I’m sure they made out even better.Thankfully unemployment went down and job growth went up in the last quarter but someone out there apparently isn’t pulling their weight or the economy would be doing much better. The Corporate tax rate should be lowered to invigorate businesses but individual tax rates for the owners (those 1% who are taking those big salary increases). should go up. Although that may only be symbolic it’s time they realize their free ride is over. Their gluttony has been exposed and called out and they can’t keep taking without giving back.

        Cutting Taxes without looking at the other issues is useless. Or are you the people that want to tell the construction companies and all the associated companies and contractors that work with the state and federal government they have to cut workers, reduce salaries, and make less profit all so that YOU can save a penny on your taxes? Reducing government, services and taxes will not work unless you reduce the average wages in this country. It is expensive to maintain the level of infra structure and services we have reached. Are you willing to tell you neighbors and friends that they lost their jobs because you did not want to pay your taxes? Taxes do a lot more then only feed the government and government workers. They are one of the engines for our society. Millions depend on contract work, construction work, and depend on the workers (private and government ) spending the money they earn through their labor in their stores and businesses.
        You want to destroy whats left of this economy? Then by all means cut taxes during a time of economic stagnation and high unemployment. The few pennies that everyone keeps will not offset the loss of jobs, businesses and services.
        Because, one thing is for sure, UNLESS you change the government totally, none of the perks of the government, neither the size of the government, nor the military or foreign aid will be cut… It always is and will be the services and jobs that impact the community. And even governmental change has its perils, if we per chance would be able to disband the federal government and reduce its size to what some people believe would be small enough , would you want to deal with the resulting destruction of the economy in this country The millions of people that will be without jobs, the millions of small businesses and contractors that will go out of business as a result?would you be willing to deal with the destruction of this country? It will make the great depression look like child’s play.

        Because like it or not, reducing the government to its bare minimum takes either an act of the tooth fairy or a revolution, and because we all know that the tooth fairy does not exist, all that is realistically left is a uprising of the people. It will never be archived by political means, power corrupts and the people in government love the power they have, they will fight change and they do not care how much they have to suppress the people to get what THEY want. So whats left is a “revolution” . and yet, we are so interconnected with the rest of the world that whatever the US does will have consequences world wide. A collapse of the US government and economy, (the result of a revolution) would result in the collapse of the economies and possible governments of the western world and the void the US leaves ( it would be decades to overcome the damages that would result ) will be filled either by Russia, India or the Islamic world. China, because of the close connection with the US will itself be in turmoil and possible civil war.
        So, think about possible consequences before screaming we need to reduce taxes or we need to have a revolution…. because the possibility that the US will end up to be nothing but a 3rd world country in the future with no influence in this world is quite high. The possibility that Russia or the Islamic world would use the turmoil in the US to take over this country are pretty darn good.

        But the fact that we managed to get in this current position, didn’t happen 3 years or 6 years ago but 30 years ago and some say longer then that.

        Government spends almost twice as much now, as a percentage of GDP, than they did in 1950. And you know what, John? I think the roads are worse now. I sure don’t remember the roads having all the pot holes in the 60s, when I was a young driver, like they do now. And our students were coming out more educated then than they do now.
        When Government takes money from the efficient private sector and spends it in the inefficient public sector, there is a net loss in wealth (actual products and services).
        Even a Liberal, like yourself John, should be able to figure out why that is. The private sector is motivated by profits, so they work as efficiently as possible. The public sector is motivated by politics, so rather than casting their eyes in the direction of efficiency they typically are more concerned with buying votes. Also the public sector does not concern themselves much with efficiency because they have little to gain by keeping costs down since they know they typically can just tax us more or borrow from the Federal Reserve in which case the tax is a hidden tax (devaluation of our money).
        We can jawbone all day long about what works and what doesn’t work without ever coming to a common understanding, but nobody can deny actual Experience. Here are the real life results of Big Government:

        When you start making over $12,000.00 per year most of us start paying taxes.

        If people are making less then that, they are not feeding and clothing and housing themselves much less paying any “FEDERAL” taxes.

        Most of us remember Jesus commit about the old woman that gave only a single mite to the church. He tells us that she gave more the all the rest, as she gave all that she had.

        It’s not too far fetched to apply this same understanding to people that have little to give today. While bearing in mind they do pay consumer taxes and indirectly property state, local, school and in some areas of the nation MTA taxes not to forget in some states state income tax.

        So, to say 50% of American pays no taxes is simply not correct.

        No, the real reason they don’t pay is because one of the very few things Reagan did right was to adjust the tax tables for inflation. However, most of the rest of his policies like looking the other way on illegal immigration, shilling for guest worker programs, union busting, and free trade caused the wages of working Americans to stagnate to the point they fell off the tax rolls. Reagan also increased and expanded the Earned Income Tax Credit (welfare) so some of them get back more than they paid in.

        No, this is not a fact it is an assertion. In fact, it is impossible to prove and easy to refute. I imagine you know knowing of logic or its rules. However, I will try to school you. An assertion like this can only be true if in every situation the private sector utilizes the money better than the government. Since we don’t know the future, this can never be proven to be a fact. Yet, only one instance counter to the claim is needed to disprove it. As we can see in Iraq with all the wasted money for contractors instead of soldiers, the government is more efficient with its money in this case. Of course, one has to also define the squishy term “efficient”.

        In your view a person making 25 million a year should pay the same amount as someone making 25 thousand a year?

        The bottom 50% only controls 2.5% of the total wealth.
        The top1% controls 35% of the total wealth. The bottom 80% control a total of 15% of the wealth. If you taxed the bottom 50%, 50% of their wages you raise a total of 700 billion dollars.

        But be it as it may, if we assume it is true, it does not prevent someone from being greedy and does not prevent criminal actions. In fact, most criminals are competent and / or self-confident. If you wish to “project” even deeper and apply Ron Pauls’ approach to understanding nations actions and behavior, It is the Bankers of the world that starts these wars. While you find it more fun to just blame democrats.

        So why this departure from Ron Paul’s vision? Democrat Bankers?

        Today’s GOP is not yesterdays GOP or the DNC for that matter.

        I was foolishly hoping we might contain our discourse to at least the last decade. Today’s GOP are not conservatives while they do fly the banner and talk the talk. But they fail to walk the walk and this fact accounts for much of our current economic condition today.

        For nation that spends 6 to 10 times more on their military then any other nation in the world it’s assured to posses some security up sides but devastating economic down sides if there no BOOTY of war offered and contributed to the Common wealth of the nation.

        Strong arming Iraq to an anal cavity search, while allowing big private interest the opportunity to research at their leisure for future mineral extraction might be all fine and good but the average American paid a heavy price for this ruse to “Liberate the Iraqis people” while gaining nothing for their efforts.

        This behavior is The GOP TradeMark and how they prefer to spend money. GOP leadership depends on people who are able to be sucker in by someone wrapping themselves in the flag while pontificating noble and righteous values. While they spend your money and claiming to by on your side. Why the truth be know, the GOP feels money is wasted in the hands of the Average American.

        And the DNC is just playing second fiddle a half a step off in this same ruse.

        WWII was entered under Franklin D. Roosevelt, a Democrat.
        The Korean war was entered under Harry Truman, a Democrat.
        The Vietnam war spanned several Presidencies but the first involvement of United States military advisors in Vietnam came in 1950 under Harry Truman, a Democrat.

        So, get over it, Deer. Democrats are no strangers to war. But, for sure, both Parties love to use our soldiers as cannon fodder.

        The whole Maine incident could have been blown off by McKinley. He had to ask for a declaration of war, nobody forced him to do it. He also could have offered Spain a way out without war or at the end of war letting Spain keep her possessions. The Republicans have always been the party of big business and always the party that wanted something for nothing or used government to steal something or supported people who didn’t give a damn about anything but a buck.

        It is interesting to look at all the criminals in our government throughout history and what they do for a buck. When we stole the Panama Canal zone from Colombia, the money men behind the canal didn’t want to use the local labor and imported blacks from Cuba because they were cheaper, then left them there when the work was done. A country made up of European and Mestizo stock suddenly found itself full of blacks without the consent of the people living there – these are the kinds of people that make up the Republican Party and always have.

        True but there are some general differences not absolute.

        1. As Deer says, it basically it boils down to WHO gets the money, Dems spend on welfare for the poor, GOP – welfare for the rich.

        2. Tax and spend vs borrow and spend.

        3. The rhetoric from the right for the last 12 years has been eliminate SS even if it means bankrupting the country. The left view SS as untouchable.

        4. Spending as stimulus. GOP pushes tax cuts, which does the same thing to the budget as spending increases. Dems push spending increases instead of tax cuts. BOTH lead to the same result – increase in national debt.

      It was $3.49.9 this morning here. But it’s been going up about 10 cents a week too. I expect it to go over $4 before the end of March at this rate.

      I saw that Saudi had cut their production and Iran has cut off France and Germany. I’m going to bet that France and Germany will be wailing to us for us to give them more of our fuel … and I’m going to bet they get it. After all, it wouldn’t be fair if they had to cut their use, now would it?

      Incidently, I saw a report not long ago that said that the Mid-East is down to less than 10% of their initial reserves. That’s why they are trying to get into other fields. They can see the end of their oil profits.

    A few years ago I heard a (liberal) politician speaking about taxes. He noted that we in the US were paying “only” about 50% in taxes and then compared us to several other countries that paid far more (like 98% in a couple of them). “I can’t understand why Americans are so afraid of a simple 5% tax increase,” he said. “After all, in other countries, like Bangladesh, they pay as much as 98%. No one here should worry about only 5%.”

    He didn’t seem to realize that we don’t want to end up like Bangladesh and those other countries.

      Actually there are countries that have a very high tax rates like Sweden and Norway who do quite we. Their people are fairly happy and self sufficient.Some countries benefit from high taxes and in others it’s like carrying an anchor around.

        Sweden and Norway do have high taxes. And because of it, the families seldom can afford to have more than one child. In fact, Sweden encourages child birth by giving all sorts of benefits – but they seldom have more. So, to make up for a dwindling population, the government brings in immigrants, mostly from the Mid-East.

        Why do you think our government wants to encourage (illegal) immigration here? It’s because among the actual American citizens, birth rate is below replacement – due to costs involved.

        Also keep in mind that costs in Sweden are generally less than they are here too.

        Swedes as in many Western European countries don’t want large families so that is a choice they have to live with. American women don’t want large families anymore either because of costs in rearing children. That is another reason immigrants from Mexico is an accepted form of labor because there aren’t enough local citizens to work the fields as you were saying. Costs in Sweden such as oil (gas about $8 bucks) is much higher there (as in all of Europe) than here.

        They don’t want large families because they can’t provide for them. It isn’t a choice they have to live with unless they are willing to give up everything. it is a necessity. If you check, the people in the US who have large families are immigrants and welfare recipients – both of whom receive government handouts to survive.

        And the problem with illegal immigrants here isn’t the fact that we need field hands – most of them take the good jobs Americans want.

        Also, check the use of oil in Sweden – they don’t have to drive 30-50 miles a day one way to work as many of us do. I talked about this with a Swiss one day – he told me that the only time he gets his car out of the garage is on his 2 week vacation. The rest of the year it stays there. He rides a bike to work (and he knows of no one who lives more than 1/2 mile from work.) Due to government requirements, among other things, most of us can’t do that here. (For instance, I work in a chemical plant. The government requires a “green zone” around the plant that no one can use.)

        EDDIE . . . just so much you don’t know. Been to Sweden many times, last time in the fall of 2010. Taxes are higher than here, but have been coming down in the last 6 years, as they abandoned the Socialist Dimmocrats and have elected twice a more Conservative govt.
        Children, my 2nd cousin has four under 13, and I have seen many 3 offspring or larges families.
        Norway has no debt, and never joined the EU, they have enormous revenue from North Sea Oil and Offshore Oil technologies so they can afford their intrusive nanny-state.
        Unlike the USA that is trying to do the same with no Funds.
        By the way . . . when I was last there E85 auto fuel was 8 to 9 Krona a liter that is a little over $4.50 US a gallon.

        Daily Finance says Swedes pay $8.00 a gallon or close to 13.86 a liter. I’ve heard the same for over 15 years about European gas prices. Even Italy is around $8.00.

        Until recently Sweden and Norway were highly homogeneous. A welfare state is possible under such a condition because everybody looks at the country as one large extended family and most people tend to have a similar world view and work habits. When you bring in large numbers of parasitic foreigners, the system starts to break down.

    Income taxes should be lowered. Eliminate the cap on income that is subject to F.I.C.A, withholding, and lower it to whatever percentage needed to pay for existing obligations. Then have a voluntary privatization of Social Security. Eliminate the income tax on the earnings that are put into retirement accounts, F.I.C.A. and allow real Medical savings accounts that do not have to be used every year and make them non taxable as well.. Eventually eliminate all income taxes completely. Convert to use taxes ie. excise taxes on certain items excluding food and medicine. Not a simple Fair tax on everything or a simple Flat income tax.

      The income tax, according to the US Supreme Court, is an excise tax on privilege and only MEASURED by the income or net profit or gain derived FROM taxable privilege. Within Title 26, the internal revenue codes, several different privileges that are taxed are spelled out. Non resident aliens deriving US sourced income do so by taxable privilege. Federal employment is a taxable privilege. Employment by a federally owned corporation such as the US Post Office is taxable privilege. Residing abroad with foreign earned income under protection of the US flag is taxable privilege. What about the rest of us … working occupations of common right in the private sector in any of the now 50 united States????
      Is that taxable? Not inherently, but, you can MAKE it taxable.

      One of the inalienable rights that people are born with is an unlimited right to contract with others. The federal government doesn’t get to bully its way into private contracts, but it CAN be INVITED in. Here are examples:

      Your neighbor asks you to drywall his garage and build some shelves, and offers you some cash for your labor. You get the job done and he pays you, end of story. Was there a taxable event? NO! Most people would think that they got away with something, that this is illegal to “work off the books” or “get paid under the table” but nobody got away with anything. A right was exercised, no more no less.

      Here is the other example … you are offered “employment” doing drywall. Your “employer” throws down an IRS form W-4 in your face and expects you to fill it out and sign under penalty of perjury with a valid socialist slavestate number. BOTH YOU AND YOUR “EMPLOYER HAVE NOW INVITED THE FEDERAL GOVT. IN AS A SENIOR THIRD PARTY TO YOUR CONTRACT. It is as you are now going thru the federal govt. as a temp agency and getting farmed out to your “employer.” You pay into a federal pension plan, i.e., socialistic insecurity. Your “employer” pays a tax for the privilege of hiring you, i.e., payroll tax or the employer side of socialistic insecurity. Since you are now a federal “employee” you have now incurred liability for federal income tax. States that have a state income tax tax the same liability, so there is your liability for state income tax and even local income tax. In addition, there is also medicare tax and pretty soon liability for Obamacare.

      While form W-4 is voluntary along with use of an SSN as far as the law is concerned, the dirty work of enforcement of the income tax is done by the private corporate sector that refuses to hire anyone without an SSN as a matter of policy and not law. The more money that the govt. gets, the more they spend and the further in debt they go. Therefore, the answer is to starve the beast into submission. The best way to starve the beast is to pass laws that REQUIRE FULL DISCLOSURE of all terms, conditions, rights waived, powers of attorney granted, and liabilities incurred, including tax liabilities, anytime anyone anywhere for any reason asks for a socialist slavestate number. Said disclosure should be in plain language, verbal and written, initialled off point by point, to be signed by both parties as well as a witness. If someone is stupid enough to sign up for it after a full disclosure that is their problem.

    I am sorry to disagree ut I have researched this topic and there is a huge problem with taxes on the rich going below 35 percent. Roald Reagan cut them from 70 to 35 p[ercent and suddenly had real problems balancing the Budget…He started Deficit Spending which added to the National Debt. Then Climnton came along and raised taxes on the rich and balanced the budget for the first time since Eisenhower was President and we had strong economic growth. The G.W. got in and cut the taxes on the rich , the jobs creation flatlined and the National Debt really went up…Case in point here-Supply Side Economics does not work and as Senior Bush put it, it is Voodoo economics…The rich need to be taxed more, the Middle Classes taxed less and the Budget should be balanced…Cuting taxes with a 15 Trillion National Debt is ridiculous!

      I agreed with Reagan when he eliminated the 70% marginal tax rate and went to three tiers of tax. That 70% killed productivity. I knew a contractor who had a ton of work and could stay busy year round. But as soon as he hit that 70% he laid off his people and shut down for the rest of the year. Although he paid 70% in taxes, because he laid off 20 guys, the government actually LOST tax revenues.

      The problem that i had with Bush’s tax cut was 50% went to the richest 1% and the other 50% went to the other 99%. Not exactly fair.

      Nobody paid those 70 percent rates. Everything was deductable. The system was unfair. People who could game the system made out and joe blow with a paycheck and renting an apartment was screwed. I knoew people making 25K a year in horse racing syndication scams because the tax code was littered with this nonsense when you put in 10K and got 10K in writeoffs each year for 5 years. If you were in a 50% bracket (which wasn’t all that high) 10K brought you 25K back in tax returns.

      Reagan had the right idea. He brought the rates down and they went back up a little. He also did not make a distiction between capital gains and ordinary income. Later GOP shills for the rich have convinced the boobs that captial needs special treatment. This is where a lot of our deficits are coming from – having billionaires pay only 15% tax while engineers pay 25% plus payroll taxes.

      Clinton never balanced the budget. It was an accounting gimmick and there was a dot com bubble to artificially increase government’s take while Bush got the losses. The national debt never went down under Clinton. The supposed surplus was excess payroll taxes that should have been part of the Social Security Trust Fund but went to pat for the government.

    When Wayne says that if corporate executives lie they are prosecuted for fraud that is not exactly accurate. I distinctly remember the CEOs and CFOs of companies like AIG, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Lehman and the like on TV telling the public that their problems were all behind them (back in 2008) anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months before they nearly folded and needed to be bailed out and none of them were prosecuted or even persecuted for their blatently fraudulent statements. I guess in today’s world it’s ok to lie.

    I do agree that the bar should be much higher than $250,000 family income.

We have been and still pay for the politicans that have bankrupted our country and destroyed the constitution.Everyone should know the truth about The Federal Reserve Bank.We could take back our country almost overnight by entering a class action lawsuit against The Federal Reserve Bank. . Charge them with fraud,corruption and treason. They should be made to repay us with gold and silver. Because they are a private corporation, they can be sued.

    the amount of people on the dole from the government along with the die hard bolsheviks will produce a large block of votes , he is trying to raise tax to continue the freeloading by fed and state workers, these people are going to vote for barry , the minority and illegals will give him the majority vote.
    the wimpy congressional republicans will assist him by going along with tax increase in one form or another.
    the only person who could stop barry is newt gingrich, he could make barry look like the babbling idiot he is in the debates, however, the media and the sheep will be a large hurdle for newt. the republican establishment is interested in keeping the congress and gaining t`he looks to me like they don’t care about the presidency, they are more interested in getting control of the money and before they get kicked out again they will fill their larders like last time. we need to dump the republican party and replace it it with a constitutional run party that has the countries interest at heart.

    the high gas prices will stay for awhile then later in the summer they will start to fall, by october the sheep will have forgotten 4-5 dollar prices so that won’t be a factor, barry will win by a large margin, unless we stop the republican establishment and get a candidate elected that has the interest of the people at heart.

    I’m retired and live comfortably on about $100,000 a year.

    I don’t think the taxes I pay are too high at all. In fact, I’m surprised how little I pay in taxes to keep this country running. Wars, infrastructure, employees to process monthly Social Security checks, medicare, veterans benefits, Federal programs to help those who are less fortunate than I am.

    We regular guys in America who love this country and all it has given us understand that it costs money to keep things running.

    Guess your info is for millionaires. What a horrible job it must be to make your own money by telling the rich over and over that they are getting screwed. More awful is that they actually believe it.

    Trickle down economics is dead. It’s a corpse, it will not bounce or resurrect ever. The earth is not flat, Climate Change is happening, we will run out of oil, top soil, drinking water and, if the carbon idiots have their way, fresh air as well.

    Unless of course your ultimate goal is more wealth for the wealthy and more inequality and higher unemployment and less money in the nation’s coffers.

    The 400 richest Americans pay no taxes and they own more wealth than the bottom third of Americans. And still they want more.

    The biggest corporations spend more on lawyers and accountants to show them how to hide their money off shore than they they pay in US taxes.

    They all got to be wealthy on the back of American Common wealth. They used public infrastructure, a workforce educated by the public system and their wealth and properties are protected by the public police and military.

    Social Security is and has always been solvent and will be guaranteed to remain solvent with a small adjustment like not having a cap on $107K for funding it.

    Medicare for all and alternative prevention healthcare and a healthier lifestyle and nutrition is the answer to our run away health care costs and horrible health results.

    We live in an oligarchy not a democracy and still you want to give the wealthy more wealth and more power

    Hegemony and wars will be our downfall and still the only thing the conservative right can think of is to attack Iran.

    I am sure we would all love a country without a govt. I am sure that this is what the founding fathers envisioned!!! Imagine football without rules or referees. People don’t cheat do they? Corporations always do the right thing don’t they?

    I am also sure that the one thing they tried to warn us about is the dangers of meddling in foreign affairs and surprisingly the right, conservatives and the confused tea party libertarian crowd are always on the wrong side of this issue. Progressives don’t start wars, they are always standing alone objecting and voting against wars. RepublicRats and especially the right are always for war. Figure that out.

    This video looks like something that would be shown in the Wall Street board rooms behind closed doors.However their is a large group of Americans that think Publishers Clearing House is gonna come knocking on their door or they are going to really win the lottery, or big in the casinos.They feel they are some day going to be in the 1% group so they want to protect the interests they don’t have.Our economy was doing fine until the Bush tax cut came along, he started a couple of wars, the drug prescription plan unfunded and hundreds of billions funnelled into companies like Haliburton and Blackwater.Obama is finally getting us back on the road again without the help of the GOP and their ways of blocking every bill that would help our country to be even greater than it is.You don’ start two wars and cut taxes.That is totally idiotic so it is time to get real and be honest with yourself.
