The Rush Is On

March 8, 2011 by

The Rush Is On

On the afternoon of March 2, Arid Uka murdered two American service personnel during an attack at the Frankfurt International Airport. In the days following the attack, German officials identified Uka—who evidently shouted “Allahu Akbar!” as he fired—as a “quickly radicalized” Muslim and a part of a known network of al-Qaida sympathizers.

As information filtered out, President Barack Obama responded through a State Department mouthpiece named P.J. Crowley, cautioning against a rush to judgment:

"…look at the evidence and look at the motivation and then you make a judgment.”

A Muslim with known al-Qaida connections targeted and murdered Americans. I can see how Obama/Crowley might be confused about the motivation.

So what does it take to earn a terrorist designation in the opinion of the Democrat Party? Is there a jihadi decoder ring? Does the shooter have to show his autographed Ayman al-Zawahiri baseball card? Maybe Uka is merely a gentle shepherd, pushed over the edge of sanity after Ellie the ewe broke it off, and he wasn’t yelling Allahu Akbar, but “Ellie, you broke my heart!” (I’m leaving that one in, even though I know I shouldn’t. Sometimes, I like to see if Mr. Livingston is awake.)

Being a magnanimous sort, after a fashion, I thought I might offer my fellow Bob Livingstonians a primer on recognizing real terrorists when you see them.

The middle-aged woman waving the Tea Party sign protesting against union thugs and Obama’s now globally-recognized ineptitude before heading home to put pot pies on the table for her husband and two obnoxious tykes isn’t a terrorist; even when’s she’s holding up the line at the grocery store because those tykes are squalling for candy.

The guy with the rifle slung over his back at the Obama appearance in Arizona isn’t a terrorist; he’s not even breaking the law. The guy with the rifle slung over his back guarding the entrance to the Northern Nihilist’s Campground and Bomb-making Academy probably is.

People who donate to the Tea Party are not terrorists. To be fair, neither are donors to Media Matters for America or Moveon.org. The latter groups might be overrun by pathologically dishonest hypocrites, but they’re not terrorists.

Glenn Beck is not a terrorist, nor is Rush Limbaugh. Lawrence O’Donnell is also not a terrorist, nor is Rachel Maddow. The latter two are simpering idiots, which isn’t a crime, just a requirement for membership in the mainstream media.

Michael Moore is not a terrorist. He’s a corpulent gasbag who profited off the same nation he’s made a huge pile criticizing, but the only person who should be TERRIFIED of Moore is the guy who just bought the last triple-bacon megameal at the local McFatburger. I’ll bet Moore is deceptively quick when bacon is involved.

The guy who prays five times a day to Allah is not necessarily a terrorist. The guy who prays five times a day to Allah for success in his suicide bombing of the local Pizza Hut is. Speaking of religious crackpots; Westboro Baptist Church pastor Fred Phelps isn’t a terrorist. His creepy acolytes also don’t meet the terrorist standard; although they certainly do meet the “makes observers nauseous” standard.

When exactly did we start worrying about the feelings of actual terrorists? Whose feelings are we trying to spare? Liberal mouthpieces began bloviating about the likelihood of psychopath Jared Loughner’s political motivations while the scent of gunpowder still hung in the Tucson air, but when some fruitcake shouts “Allah Akbar!” while firing on a couple of American service personnel at an airport, we have to avoid a “rush to judgment.”

A YouTube video is currently making the rounds amongst those who list to port politically. It displays a crowd shouting at mostly Muslim attendees at a fundraising event in California. The video purports to display racism, xenophobia and the basic evil which lurks in the hearts of conservatives. The protesters are perhaps a bit on the outrageous side, but none of them compares to the group which posted the video: a sub-cell of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. Unlike the Tea Party, CAIR has well-established ties to the terrorist group HAMAS.

I have heard liberals condemn the Tea Party as “American Taliban.” But where’s the condemnation of CAIR? For that matter, where’s the condemnation of Arid Uka?

Take your time, Democrats. There’s no rush.

Normally, Germans know how to handle security matters. Were the Americans in Germany armed? If not, why not?
Those who were wounded or killed deserved better protection than this. If the Germans aren’t up to the task, they can always get advice from Israel. It pays to deal with those who get results.
Washington losers, get used to calling certain people terrorists. Anyone who acts like one is one. It makes no difference where the outrage occurs. Duh.

    • DaveH

It sounds like it’s pretty difficult to arm and defend yourself in Germany:
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_politics_in_Germany

    • libertytrain

The German press probably made some sort of similar comment regarding the shopping mall shooting of Congressman Giffords.

    • http://Illinois'17th Old Henry

      SC:

I’m not positve, but I think that when they are traveling they are not allowed to be armed. Remember Ft. Hood? Those poor individuals were unarmed per policy.

      • 45caliber

Offically all servicemen on bases are considered “safe” from attack (unless that base is inside a combat zone) and therefore do not carry guns. Even when I was in the service, our guns were locked in an armory until we went to a firing range.

        • http://Illinois'17th Old Henry

          45,

“Even when I was in the service”. Wow, they had armories way back then? Juuuuust kidding.

So 45, if these folks were attacked in a Frankfurt airport they would have indeed been unarmed?

          • 45caliber

Definately unarmed. No military is allowed to carry guns in a foreign country without special authorization.

          • Mike in MI

Then why was Arid Uka? Or, is one classified by Obama and friends as a terrorist only if he is adorned with belts and chest protectors packed with C-4 and blasting caps? We should require a ruling on this from the DOJ – if anyone can get him out of the mosque.

        • vicki

          45caliber writes:
“Offically all servicemen on bases are considered “safe” from attack (unless that base is inside a combat zone) and therefore do not carry guns. ”

The correct way to phrase that is “… and are not allowed to carry guns.”
Multiple gun-free zones. Safe, target rich environments for most any terrorist or crazed killer. All of this thanks to Democrat William J. Clinton.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            vicki,
As much as I dislike Klintoon, it was that way in 1968, when I first went in!! Loooooonnnngg time before klintoon!!

  • Warrior

Well, one has to be cautious and who knows, maybe the shoot-ee’s were acting stupidly!

    • James

Right, everyone who acts stupidly should be killed.

  • Bob

No surprises here – the democrat party is the largest and most dangerous terrorist group in the world today so it is sympathetic to its brothers in arms. The democrat party has murdered more Americans than all our outside enemies combined, it has laid waste to our cities and, through its brownshirts in the unions, has destroyed our industries. The dems have ruined our education system, subverted our media, and virtually destroyed the foundation of society, the family, in the culture of etnic minorities. The democrats have fostered class hatred through the politics of envy, fanned the fires of racism to foster a climate of hatred and division, and has sought to legitimize parasitism and sexual depravity. If all we had to worry about were scum like Uka, we could handle that, but tens of millions of democrat terrorists are a real threat to America and they must be stripped of all power at all levels before America can be safe.

    • Iris

Bob, you are so right on! And the last words you said sum up the problem: POWER. The Dems will use every last ploy of psychological power to have their sway over the average dull mind and when that no longer works, there is no choice but to use physical POWER. Of course, when that happens it isn’t their fault. What else could they do? This is why the left gets nasty and physical and the right goes home and votes.

    • Mick

Oh Bob…How so right you are !
I fail to understand why people refuse to see that, can so many be that dumb ???

    • Angel

“parasitism and sexual depravity”? How about the party of Jack Abramoff, Tom Delay, Bob Ney, Larry (Wide Stance) Craig, David Vitter (and his diaper), John Ensign, Mark Foley, Mark Sanford, Ted Haggard…

      • Bob

A few conservatives against tens of millions of democrats? You must be joking.

      • Ted Crawford

how about Tim Guitner, Charles Rangel, Maxine Waters, Anita Dunn, John Edwards, Van Jones, Etc? This is about governance, or the lack of it, not about personalities! If you have something substantive bring it. If not have a nice day.

        • Bob

You forgot all the Kennedys and Bill Clinton.

        • Angel

Democrats don’t PRETEND to be morally superior while screwing around or screwing the American public out of their tax dollars.

          • independant thinker

“Democrats don’t PRETEND to be morally superior while …………screwing the American public out of their tax dollars.”

Oh yes they do. the Democrats have the attitude “we know what is best for you and you are going to do it or be dammed” and I do not deny the republicans can show that attitude as well.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            angel,
The only way that statement could be true is if one was too damn stupid to see it!!

    • http://Illinois'17th Old Henry

      Bob,

      Very eloquent and very correct.

    • chuckb

bob, you are wrong on thing, it’s red shirts not brown, remember the communist were wearing red shirts in germany, even hitler knew they were a bad lot and that’s saying some.

    • Carlucci

You got that right, Bob. Good on ya.

    • Jon

BOB that summed it up perfectly you need to speak out more often, your a great american keep speaking the truth

  • JoMama

Thank you, Bob!! FINALLY someone sees it the way it SHOULD be!!
If only our “leaders” could think like that………….

  • Terri

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it probably is a duck. Therefore, if it defends Muslim terrorists, refuses to see the evil there or cautions against “rushing to judgment”, probably is a Muslim, definitely not a Christian. And that is what we have in the White House? Wonder where the earthquakes are originating?; from all the Founding Fathers rolling over in their graves!

    • 45caliber

Or it could be he is just scared s**tless by their actions that MIGHT someday target him.

      • Bus

When President Palin picks her ambassadors, she should select Obama and send him to Iran, but then cut back on the security forces there, since he already has so many friends in Iran he won’t need protection. And make it a one way ticket.

        • Roger

I’ll pay for a one way ticket.

        • Bud Tugly

President Palin???!!! the last thing we need – no more dunces in the White House from either party. There are lots of brilliant conservatives – let’s elect one.

          • Terri

            Mitt Romney!

          • http://?? Joe H.

            Terri,
Ask anyone that is over 50 and lived in Michigan about Romneys father! If he is anything like his father, we don’t need him any more than we need Nobummer!!!

          • David

Mitt is non electable after his healthcare policy in MASS. A smaller model of Obummercare, designed to decrease healthcare costs. What a joke. My healthcare premium went up 25% this year and that doesn’t include the previous 3 or so years at double digit increases as well. By hey, if you don’t have healthcare or can’t afford it we will fine you. What a fine country we are building.

    • independant thinker

Don’t know about Obama being a muslim but according to his statements he is not a Christian for sure. He has said he believes there are many ways to get to heaven. By definition a Christian is one who believes the only way to heaven is thru Jesus Christ.

      • karolyn

Who cares if he’s a Christian or not? though he says he is. I have no reason to disbelieve him. If there is a heaven (which I don’t believe), there are many people who disagree with each othe on how to get there. Who’s to say who’s right? What makes YOUR religion any better than anybody else’s?

        • 45caliber

I’m sorry for you, karolyn. And if you and other liberals/atheists are correct and Christians are bound for hell, I’m certain I’ll get to see you there.

          • karolyn

45 – How many times have I posted I’m not an atheist. I am just not a Christian. I believe in a different concept of God.

          • 45caliber

            karolyn:

I didn’t mean that you were an atheist; I meant that there are atheists who agree with the liberals about that matter. Some atheists are conservative. Generally they aren’t the religious atheists though.

          • Terri

God is not a concept. He is a loving, caring, Heavenly Father, who loved all his children so dearly, that he gave His first born, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins, so that we may again live with him when our time on this side of the veil is over.

          • 45caliber

            Terri:

You are correct. But there are a lot of people who simply cannot accept that. That’s why I pray for people like karolyn so they may find the Light.

          • Karolyn

45 – I have found “the light”, and it is me!

          • Terri

            karolyn,

If you are the light, then how great must be the darkness! Any human who believes that they & their misguided opinions supersede Heavenly Father & His plan are in for a very rude awakening when they stand before Him & Jesus Christ at the judgment seat.

        • JC

Karolyn, I’m not too concerned about the peaceful practise of any religion, but when a group the size of Islam is proclaiming we infidels must die…I lose any sympathy I had for them. And if our “President” subscribes to said religion…well that makes him a problem doesn’t it?

And I should throw in that I believe we should get the hell out of the Middle East, drill our own oil and mind our own damned business.

          • karolyn

JC – Just check out this link for more education on Muslims.
            http://www.quranicstudies.com/articles/peace-in-the-quran/does-the-quran-teach-violence.html

          • JC

Thanks for the thought Karolyn, but I’ve seen all I care to regarding Muslims. As I said, when I start seeing them on TV denouncing terrorism en masse…I’ll give them some respect.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            JC,
I agree with the senator who said, when speaking about the radical muslims, The non-radical muslims are not doing enough to expose the American born radical muslims.
I also agree with what you said about them denouncing terrorism en-mass! Till then, I give them no respect!!

          • Bud Tugly

The thing about Muslims is their disproportionate reactions to things. If a cartoon is published in Denmark that they consider disrespectful to their profit there is a world-wide protest with millions carrying banners and seething with anger, yet honor killings, female circumcisions (mutilations), beheadings, blowing up innocent people – that’s all ok.

          • JC

            Exactly right Bud,
They’ll burn down cars and throw rocks en masse over some cartoons, but a few dead Americans, or Canadians, or Australians etc.
            No Big Deal.
            True colors….

        • dbur

—”What makes YOUR religion any better than anybody else’s?” —

Maybe it’s because my religion respects the beliefs of others, and supports freedom to live as your conscience dictates so long as you don’t infringe on the rights of others to do likewise. Maybe it’s because it respects the basic human rights of women. Maybe it’s because even though we know homosexuality is a sin, we don’t hate the sinners or condemn them to death. Maybe it’s because we don’t assassinate anyone in power who doesn’t believe in the same religion as us. Maybe it’s because we don’t beat or kill our wives or children just because they embarrassed us by not acting exactly as we wish. I’m sure there are more reasons but maybe this is enough for now.

          • Jon

            AMEN Dbur

        • independant thinker

karo………….I neither supported nor opposed Christianity. I merely pointed out the definition of a Christion and why Obama according to his own words cannot be one.

      • 45caliber

        independent thinker:

According to the Catholics, if they can have the teaching of your child until he/she is five, that child will be a Catholic the rest of their life. I’m certain that this is true for all kinds of teaching. And Oblama was taught by Muslims until he was about ten years old, not five.

        • http://?? Joe H.

          45caliber,
And they would be wrong to think that. When I attended church at the Assembly of God, I met many people that were Catholic from birth and when they achieved the age of self determination, they left the Catholic church. Why do you think there are so many Catholic churches being closed?

    • Robin from Arcadia, IN

Terri… Great post. I was thinking the exact same thing. Why didn’t Barry immediately condemn any shootings against unarmed soldiers? We all know why because it is so obvious as you pointed out!

  • http://None J.B. Williams

You have to understand the criminal mind set. In order to get by with anything you are planning to do the first thing you have to do is to create a diversion, accuse someone else of what you yourself are planning to do. Then do it. That way the powers that be will blame the one who was accused of it in the first place.

  • jopa

Mr. Chrystal has once again proved how great our president actually is.He proclaims our president said lets not rush to judgement in this case and now six days later now that we have more facts and now Arid Uka is apparently a terrorists.Too many times people are put in prison or executed that are innocent. It is great to have a leader that doesn’t go off like some dusty old cowboy that fell on his head a few too many times after a night of boozing. We are so blessed.

    • DaveH

Yes, our President is right. We should not rush into judgement:
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-e549qdS8Y

      • libertytrain

Yes it’s wonderful this guy just irresponsibly picks and chooses on whim who the terrorist is today and who isn’t – based on what – whim? Is it “eeny, meeny, miney, moe?” Perhaps it is Moe – like one of the Stooges?

        • 45caliber

You are wrong. He is quite careful in his choices of who a terrorist is or not. He blames those to be terrorists that he KNOWS he is safe from no attack. Those he fears are simply nice people he wouldn’t normally invite over for dinner – but he might if he thought it would keep them happy enough to leave him alone.

          • libertytrain

            :) I know.

          • http://Illinois'17th Old Henry

And while at dinner he could appologise profusly. As the guests leave he could then bow over and over.

        • eddie47d

That is why we have a War in Iraq; You know that rush to judgement that you all love. That includes a few Democrats who had no proof “just a hunch”. It’s like were all going to pee our pants if we don’t prosecute immediately. This may be a reasonable excuse to pull our troops out of Germany and save the taxpayer some dollars.

          • libertytrain

Not to worry eddie, Army Posts in Mannheim and Heidelberg will be wrapping up during the course of the next couple of years leaving the buildings and property turned back over to Germany.

          • DaveH

“you all”? Where do you get that, Eddie? I know I don’t approve of the US as the world’s policemen? You’re prejudiced, Eddie, like you don’t want the rest of to be. Change.

      • JC

DaveH, Maybe I’m a little simplistic, but I couldn’t care less if this Islamic Jihadist is considered a terrorist or not. If the evidence shows he killed the servicemen, then he should be executed as a murderer post haste. Period. “God” can worry about his politics.

        • http://Illinois'17th Old Henry

          JC,

I do not think Germany has a death penalty. They are one of those enlightened countries.

          • JC

Diasarmed and over run with third world immigrants. Yep they’re done for alright…I mean “Enlightened” they’re very “enlightened”…and going down the drain.

        • DaveH

I agree, JC, murder is murder, regardless of who does it. Unless of course it is sanctioned by Government.

          • JC

True! And murder, as far as I’m concerned. should be punishable by death. That’s Justice.

          • DaveH

Then who would run our country, lol?

        • barbm

i don’t see how people who think killing unborn babies is wrong can then sanction killing prisoners. sorry, but killing is killing. in self-defence is the only way i can accept it.

          • independant thinker

The aborted baby had no say in the matter the criminal made a conscious choice to commit the crime there is the difference.

          • http://Illinois'17th Old Henry

I don’t think the Israelits had any prisons.

          • usmadgirl

            barbm,

Surely you didn’t REALLY make this comment! Unborn babies don’t kill people! They have no reason to be PUNISHED!

Someone who takes another person’s life has to be PUNISHED for their actions otherwise they’d just go around killing people “willie nillie” knowing they would suffer no consequences. If it were up to me I’d charge everyone who has an abortion with murder. Killing an unborn baby is murder as much as murdering anyone else. Like you said, “Killing is killing”!

I can’t believe I’m having to explain this to a “grown up”!

          • barbm

i didn’t say the terrorists don’t deserve to be punished. it’s unfortunate that law abiding citizens have to pay for it, but they should be put in prison for life. the problem i have is with killing anybody, but i also have a problem with people being killed then us finding out later that they were innocent. yes, this guy was caught red-handed, so we know he’s guilty. sorry, but i believe it’s wrong to kill. vengeance is Mine sayeth the Lord. thou shalt not kill – a commandment. besides, it’s worse to spend your life behind bars where you have to watch your back every second, where the food is nearly unedible, where you’ll never again get to hug your mother/kiss your lover/play with your children.

          • barbm

usmadgirl, i haven’t seen you post on here before, so you probably haven’t seen my posts either. i’m 100% against abortion. my first grandchild was murdered. i just hope i get to meet it when i get where i’m going. hopefully, heaven!!

          • DaveH

Until that baby is born, it is part of a woman’s body. That woman may die in childbirth. Although I think it’s a mistake to abort a baby, it’s somebody else’s mistake, not mine to judge. Nor yours. None of us knows the trials the mother may be enduring.
If indeed there is a God, then he will deal with her later.

          • barbm

dave, you really don’t think He’ll think badly of us if we don’t at least attempt to stop it? i do.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            barbm,
If it is so much worse than death, then why are there people getting out, commiting a crime so they can go back in??? They interviewed a guy that spent 14 years in jail and when they asked him what he planned to do in the future, he said he was going to commit some small crime so he would go back. He said,”I HAD IT MADE IN THERE!” He told how he got high, had sex, ate well, and didn’t have to lift a finger to get it! Now, if you took away their weight rooms, TV, and put them on half rations if they refused to work or tried to escape, then MAYBE it would be a LITTLE worse than it is now!!!

          • Pete

The American feminist culture predominantly practices abortion. The practice of abortion is now considered a woman’s right in the USA…

Isn’t this talk about banning abortion non-productive ? Do you really think that American women will give up this right ? A right that the libtards and Republicans fought for ?

          • DaveH

            barbm,
“Judgement is mine” sayeth the Lord.

          • dbur

Look how many crimes are committed by repeat offenders. I feel a far higher moral obligation to protect the innocent than I do a criminal. Your statement makes you complicit in repeat crimes. Hope your conscience is OK with that. Mine is not.

Also, a life sentence is just cruel and unusual and a burden on all the innocent people who did not commit the crime.

I can’t say much good about China, but when a man killed a bunch of school kids with a knife he was executed within about three weeks. That’s how you do it.

We are spineless, gutless, undeserving to live if we haven’t got the stomach to protect the innocent.

Want gun control? Execute every person who commits a crime with a gun. That’s gun control.

          • DaveH

Your comment, dbur, reminds me of a law they passed in California a couple of decades ago. The people were so sick of criminals getting away with murder that they jumped on the first death penalty law that came along. Only they didn’t read the fine print. Barbm,

I responded to your comment yesterday, but my computer shut down for updates & I lost it before I submitted it.

I’ve been posting on here since 2009. I work 24/7 to just barely make a living in my business so I don’t have time to be on here much unless my work is really slow. I haven’t been on here much for the past 3 months because I had pneumonia the whole month of December & I’m just getting over 4 weeks of severe bronchitis & a viral infection.

First of all, I’m very sorry for the loss of your grandchild. I hope you’ll make sure that you see your grandchild by the God’s grace through faith in Christ.

Surely you can understand why I made the comment to you about abortion by your comment “I don’t see how people who think killing unborn babies is wrong can then sanction killing prisoners.”

There are prisons that are a lot nicer than a vacation spot I’d be able to afford. That’s not punishment, that’s an all expenses paid vacation. Why should we pay to keep prisoners living in a place that’s nicer than some hard working people’s homes when they chose to take the life of another human being? When there is no doubt that the person committed the crime, why should they be allowed to live & breathe, when they had no regard for the person’s life they ended?

Wall Street Journal Sizes up Obama – They’ve Got Him Figured Out

A “deadly” article regarding Obama, at the Wall Street Journal, which today is the most widely circulated newspaper in America.
Article from the Wall Street Journal – by Eddie Sessions:

“I have this theory about Barack Obama. I think he’s led a kind of make-believe life in which money was provided and doors were opened because at some point early on somebody or some group (George Soros anybody?) took a look at this tall, good looking, half-white, half-black, young man with an exotic African/Muslim name and concluded he could be guided toward a life in politics where his facile speaking skills could even put him in the White House….

Obama is a man who could deliver a snap judgment about a Boston police officer who arrested an “obstreperous” Harvard professor-friend, but would warn Americans against “jumping to conclusions” about a mass murderer at Fort Hood who shouted “Allahu Akbar.” The absurdity of that was lost on no one. He has since compounded this by calling the Christmas bomber “an isolated extremist” only to have to admit a day or two later that he was part of an al Qaeda plot.

          Hi JC,

The article in your link was not from the Wall Street Journal nor was it written by Eddie Sessions. It was actually written by Alan Caruba in his “Warning Signs” blog. It’s a great, spot on article!

Yes, your (not “our”) President insisted on waiting for facts despite the appearances at the time. It reminds me of the prosecutor in Houston last week. A house burned down on 7 kids who were between the ages of 1.5 and 3 while the baby sitter was at Target shopping. By the time the prosecutor was happy with the facts of the case, the babysitter was in Nigeria.

          Old Henry,
did you see the report today on Reid?? He is supporting the endowment for the arts when we are trillions of dollars in debt!! He said,”With out it, why there would not be a cowboy poetry festival right here in Nevada each year!” I was still laughing a half hour later!!! businesses going broke, people losing their cars and homes, Some can’t even afford both medicines and food at the same time and he’s worried about poetry???? What a true DORK he is!!!

          • Tom Anderson

Yes, laugh, Joe H. it helps maintain sanity.

Reid certainly seems strange and he is probably stranger than you think. Do you realize that he is one of the best advocates for the mining industry in Nevada? I disagree with nearly all of his politics but I find him a complex and interesting fellow. He has protected the mining industry EVEN against the Bush GOPers.

His mining father suffered an injury ( in Nevada) and committed suicide and Harry worked his butt off supporting his Mom and siblings. I often wonder why he veered towards the DEMOS. You would expect a miner’s son (non-union) from NV to be GOP. I hear he was a professional boxer too – THAT is hard to believe.

And, yes, go ahead, criticize me, but I like his white whimpy aspect compared to Beohner’s tanned hide.

But Pelosi, sorry, I can’t find anything of merit inside THAT.

The “rest of the story” as the late Paul Harvey would say, is now what will be done with the guy who murdered the American soldiers in Germany? Will the “World Court” handle it? Will the “Muslim court” handle it, will the U. S. Justice System handle it? Or will the murderer be rewarded by being sent to the Rivieria. Or will it be prolonged so long, like the Ft. Hood murderer until the people tend to forget about it and don’t care how it turns out. This will be a good testiment of how important our Constitutional rights are to us and how much they go away once we leave the shores of the Continent of North America.

    • Bob

Jopa: You are a typical liberal liar and parasite. The dems have murdered tens of millions of babies and I will put that up against 100,000 muslim terrorists any day. As far as charity goes, I suspect that I do more and give more towards the poor than a drone like you ever would. The simple fact is this: poverty in America is a choice made by those who refuse to act responsibly. When poverty affects children, it is because of choices their worthless parents have made and it is the duty of these parasites to get off their butts and care for their children. Conservatives give more than liberals and it is of their own time and money in the hopes that sooner or later the poor will become producers rather than parasites. When a liberal “gives” he first steals from others to give to the poor, and it is in the hope the poor will become permanent parasites who keep the liberals in power. It is you who is the murderer Jopa – the murderer of hope, of decency, of truth, and of reason. By the way, haven’t most of the wars and strife in the last 100 years been started and continued by leftist scum like Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Ho Chi Minh, Pol Pot, FDR, LBJ and the like? Isn’t the nuclear madman in North Korea a communist such as yourself? Isn’t the great Marxist Messiah Maobama continuing the war in Afghanistan? Isn’t Maobama in charge of a violent, traitorous army of union thugs? You are either a gross hypocrite or a moron Joppa.

      • 45caliber

            Hey JoeH,

Just saw your comment from yesterday. Our business has been a roller coaster…like fighting fire with a spray bottle one day & nothing the next.

I’ve been on here a few times but I had pneumonia almost the entire month of December. I did all my shopping the 2 days before Christmas still as weak as a wet noodle. I could sit at my desk & work some but walking 10 feet was a chore. That was the first time I’d been sick with ANYTHING (other than occasional allergies) in 9 years. Then 4 weeks ago I had to go to the hospital again. This time it was severe bronchitis & some stupid viral infection & Tinwarble got it the day after I did. I didn’t have a bit of fever with the pneumonia, but we both had a high fever with this crap. It kicked my butt! Just 3/4 back to normal now. We were as worthless as our current administration, but at least OUR worthlessness only lasted for days not years.

I see there are a lot of new people on here. Still read & enjoy your comments even when I don’t have time to respond. I hope you & your family are well.

So…………the left has brought us abortion. 100,000 abortions every year isn’t death?????

      • Angel

The left brought us abortions? I thought it was Reagan in California in 1970 and Nixon in 1973 for the country. Facts are funny things, eh?

        • Bob

What would a democrat know about facts? Abortion was approved by a liberal supreme court as the result of a case based on lies brought forth by liberals (Roe v Wade). Get your facts straight, Nixon and Reagan had nothing to do with abortion.

          • eddie47d

Come on Bob they sure did. Most Americans seem to approve of the right to have an abortion yet would not approve of doing it themselves. In other words it’s an individuals problem to solve and their conscience to live with. Time to move on.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            eddie,
It would be kinda hard to prove that statement since it has never been put to a vote!!! I’ll agree with your statement being right just as soon as they do!!!

        • 45caliber

As far as I know it wasn’t the fault of any President or Governor. It was the fault of a liberal Congress, the liberal state legislatures, and of liberal federal judges.

        • JC

          Well
          There you have your answers…
Facts ARE funny things aren’t they?

          • Angel

Reagan signed abortion into law in California in 1970 rather than veto it. That commie Lou Cannon wrote: “Reagan was not as obsessive about anti-abortion legislation as he often seemed. Early in his California governorship he had signed a permissive abortion bill that has resulted in more than a million abortions. Afterward, he inaccurately blamed this outcome on doctors, saying that they had deliberately misinterpreted the law. When Reagan ran for president, he won backing from pro-life forces by advocating a constitutional amendment that would have prohibited all abortions except when necessary to save the life of the mother. Reagan’s stand was partly a product of political calculation, as was his tactic after he was elected of addressing the annual pro-life rally held in Washington by telephone so that he would not be seen with the leaders of the movement on the evening news. While I do not doubt Reagan’s sincerity in advocating an anti-abortion amendment, he invested few political resources toward obtaining this goal.”

Nixon’s supreme court had more Republican appointees when it decided Roe v. Wade – and four of them were Nixon appointees, including the Chief Justice.

Yes – facts. Show the liberal congress. Show me the liberal judges. You can’t!

          • 45caliber

Like most liberals you tend to pick and choose. A liberal is a person who votes liberal and supports liberal actions – not someone who says he is Democrat. Parties mean nothing. Further, the Democrat Congress has a lot of pressure to put on any President to appoint people they will accept. So they did appoint them.

Political tags – such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth – are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire.

You sound illogical. Reagan was staunchly pro-life as govenor and as president. Nixon was pro, ah…., Nixon.

In any case as stated by several folks it was a liberal court / judges nominated by liberal presidents and confirmed by liberal congresses that magically found a woman’s right to murder inside our constitution.

  • Kilgore Trout

Imperialistic American foreign policy has caused this and until such time as we are willing to change our world outlook is going to continue to happen. Isn’t it odd that we praise the citizens in other countries when the protest in the streets and yet when they protests here they are commies or terrorists. Anything that corporations can do to squeeze another dollar of profit by bribing officials in countries that have resources that they can exploit. Martin Luther King said it so well almost 50 years ago in his Riverside Church speech, “the United States is the largest sponsor of terrorism”. That was true during the Vietnam War and is even more so today!

    • 45caliber

I’m afraid you are quite wrong. American policy, etc. never had anything to do with creating terrorism. It was started to give certain people power over their own people – i.e., the Islamic fundamentalists created it to gain control over all the other Islamic worshippers. By and large, they have done a good job of that as most moderate Islamic worshippers are afraid to say anything derogatory about the fundamentalists and seldom even try to take power from them. It’s only in the last fifty years or so that the fundamentalists have turned on the U.S. by attempting the same tactics with us and with Europe. So far, from the people I know, it’s been a failure although some liberals don’t seem to think so.

    • Bob

Imperialist America? Let’s see, was that just during the Republican years or was it also during the FDR years, the Truman years, the Kennedy years, the Johnson years, the Carter years, the Clinton years, and now the Maobama years? Or, are we on again, off again imperialists? Actually, “imperialist” is a term used for decades by the Russian and Chinese communist/mass murderers/imperialists to describe America. It was a lie then, it is a lie now. Look at who you are standing with fishboy – the murderous scum of the earth. I suspect that is just where you belong.

      • 45caliber

To have an Empire, you must first have conquered other countries and hold them under your power. Somehow, in our way to an empire the liberals insist we want, we seem to have failed to do that.

      • JC

I dunno guys…just because we haven’t marched in with an army and told the local government what to and planted our flag on someone else’s sovereign soil…(We haven’t done that have we?)
Having control of their economies and dictating to puppet leaders of those little countries is still “controlling” even if it isn’t “Imperialistic”.
We still need to get back to the Constitution and mind our own bloody business.

        • 45caliber

I don’t disagree. However, we NEED to go in to HELP those poor countries! Just as the liberals who prefer to allow our businesses to go to other countries than to stay here.

In fact, most of the time we have a problem overseas it is because some liberal is trying to “help” them. And generally when they have “helped” them enough we have to send our troops in to get those liberals out again.

          • JC

Well there you go…the Liberals most especially need to mind their own damned business.

          • DaveH

The Lord helps those who help themselves.

          • JC

I think it would be difficult to argue this one…

“You can’t save free markets by socialism, I don’t know where this idea ever came from. You save free markets by promoting free markets and sound money and balanced budgets. The whole reason why nobody wants to address the real problem is, we’re spending a trillion dollars a year overseas running an empire, and it’s coming to an end. This country is bankrupt, and we won’t admit it. Eventually though, the dollar will go bust, and we will bring our troops home,
and we will live within our means, but we ought to do it sensibly, rather than waiting for the collapse of the dollar, and this is what we’re doing, we’re on the verge of destroying our dollar. And then, you think we have problems now, problems then will be a lot worse, it’d look like the Weimar Republic, or a third world nation. And a lot of people know that, and they’re scared to death, but we don’t need to be making the problem worse by just propping up everything
with more government programs, more inflation, and more helicopters, it won’t work.”

Colin Powell (2003): “We have gone forth from our shores repeatedly over the last hundred years and we’ve done this as recently as the last year in Afghanistan and put wonderful young men and women at risk, many of whom have lost their lives, and we have asked for nothing except enough ground to bury them in, and otherwise we have returned home to seek our own, you know, to seek our own lives in peace, to live our own lives in peace. But there comes a time when soft power or talking with evil will not work where, unfortunately, hard power is the only thing that works.”

      • 45caliber

Diplomacy is like trying to buy something with a credit card. But sooner or later you have to pay cash when diplomacy fails – the lives of our young men and women. Too often the diplomats refuse to accept that they have failed and gotten a lot of people on both sides killed as a result. It is always the fault of someone else … usually those who have to clean up the mess they caused.

  • 45caliber

A terrorist is a person who tries to force people to obey some person or group by threatening them physically.

Generally, it comes down to physical threats. i.e., “One of us will kill you and/or your family if you don’t do what we tell you to do.”

If you aren’t frightened, then the terrorist has failed. (Israel is an example of not being frightened.) If you are frightened by their actions and bend over to not anger them, then they are successful. (Oblama and friends are an example.)

    • http://Illinois'17th Old Henry

Would the IRS, EPA, OSHA and the other alphabet soup agencies come under this heading?

      • 45caliber

In some cases, yes. In fact, I saw a story this morning where an ex-Congressman (who ran against an existing Demo Congressman) was charging the Dems with forcing a college (U of Oregon, I believe it was) to kick his three kids out of their doctorate program if they want any continued federal funding. In fact, two of the Dems are insisting that they are to take over all the doctoral work of two of the kids and get all credit for it instead of the two kids who did the work. They are certainly trying to put terror into him – “you quit trying to cause us problems or we will see that your kids starve!”

        • http://Illinois'17th Old Henry

Would that have been that Fazio (?) commie who ran those ads with his dog riding in that old truck wtih him during the last camapign? He was / is pretty entrenched and I believe managed to beat his challanger. (a computer guy of some sort, or an engineer?)

          • 45caliber

Yeah, it is Fazio or however it is spelled who is pushing to kick the kids out of their doctorate programs.

          • dbur

It is alleged to be Fazio. Not proven. All we have to go on is the statement issued by Robinson, in which he is clear that it is an assumption that Fazio is behind it. Whether he is or not, it sure sounds like a liberal shaft job to me.

For the record U of O denies it, but won’t answer for their actions either.

        Bob,

So far the only thing keeping Little Barry and his bretheren from doing so now is the fact that as a whole the American people are armed to the teeth. We are the only people on the planet to be armed as we are.

And they are furiously working to remedy that.

        • Bob

You are right, there is nothing a wannabe dictator hates more than a free and armed people.

        • 45caliber

Unfortunately, you are right. None of them think it is fair that we refuse to let them become dictators since they know what is best for us so much better than we do ourselves. And they don’t think it is fair that we have guns and ammo to prevent them from doing so.

          Karolyn!

Where ya been hidin all day?

Muslims are the enemy ust as the Japs, Nazis, communists have been. You do not stay free by sucking up to the enemy. That has been proven over, and over, and over for ten thousand years.

God Almighty commanded the Iraelites to kell all those who attempted to turn them away from Him. Musims worship a false god (moon god, I believe) and vow to convert Christians and Jews or kill them.

Our God, the only true God, is a warrior and expects the same from His people.

Karolyn, I know you are a tried and true liberal so when Habib smashes in your door throw a ham at him.

          • karolyn

Ol Henry – I carry no label. Muslims do not worship a Moon god, but a singular God of all, just like Christians. They even highly revere Jesus, although they don’t believe him to be the Savious. Whether you believe it or not, the main command of the Quran is to do good and help others.

          • karolyn

Here is a very enlightening piece on the question “Does the Quran Teach Violence?” written by an educated Muslim.
http://www.quranicstudies.com/articles/peace-in-the-quran/does-the-quran-teach-violence.html The total site is very intreesting. It’s best that you really know what you’re talking about before speaking against anybody or anything.

Do you DARE to read it? Probably not. You’re mind is too closed.

          • 45caliber

            karolyn:

If you want to argue about Islam, please read the Koran and the Qoran, not the Muslim sites that promice to tell you what it means. It’s the same for Chrisian religions; read the Bible not what someone tells you it says there.

          • http://Illinois'17th Old Henry

Christians do not believe in a singular God. He is a trune God. Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Muslims may believe in helping people as long as they are male Muslims. I know, they do “like” women and believe every man should own several. And the younger the better.

They are taught to either convert, or kill, infidels.

          • karolyn

45 – I started to read it but never got to the “kill” parts. I have piles of books I want to read and hopefully will get to I some day. Well, reading about it through the writings of a (what seems to be) well educated person I believe is a good start. Why wouldn’t it be. I can read the Bible and not understand what they hell they are talking about until I hear it explained by someone more astute. And I look at several translations. It would be the same with the Quran. Better a guided study with either book. Why would it not be good to read the interpretation of somebody who fits in with what you want to believe is true? There really doesn’t need to be any interpretation for those who believe in the literal word – not taking into consideration time and circumstances.

          • 45caliber

            karolyn:

One thing to keep in mind about Islam. They have only one sure way to get to heaven – die while on jihad. Other religions all have a way to get in that is easier. In Christianity, we have Christ. But they don’t. They can either lead a perfect life (we would say Christ-like) or they die in battle. And leading a perfect life is very difficult.

So if they are a good Muslim and they really want to get to heaven, then their only choice is to go kill someone and be killed doing it. That’s why they can get so many suicide bombers. And there are many Islamic clerics who are more than willing to declare jihad on just about everybody.

        • kilrntex

Yes mam, I’m sicker than before. I get sicker everyday reading all the hate coming from the left. It’s ok when you talk all your garbage about Christians and conservatives, but you can’t stand it when it comes back in your face. Christians are the only people with a living God. All others worship a dead one or else worship Satan. Muslims don’t realize it, but Allah has to be satan, because no loving God would tell his people to kill anyone who doesn’t believe as they do. It’s pretty simple really. The rest of the world hates our guts and we have no other cheeks to turn, so what else is there except to defend ourselves. How about “kill or be killed”? I’ll take the first. And by the way, I honestly pray for you people to change. I don’t hate anyone, I just don’t want anyone to change what this country was founded on.

They are such wonderful people, not like Christians who practice ritualistic cannibalism and killed people during the Crusades!

There are different sects of Muslims just like there are different sects of Christianity. Different sects define and interpret differently than others. A Fundamentalist is just that, and they exist in Christianity just as in Islam. Fundamentalist are the people who are dangerous.

          • JC

And since these “fundamentalists” don’t come out of the woodwork until they kill someone, you’ll have to excuse me for not being too picky about who I will or won’t talk to, do business with etc.

At some point, people are just going to say to heck with it and decide to shoot everyone with a darker skin. We do not want to sink to that level! But I’m afraid that if we don’t actually finish Iraq and Afghanistan and pull out as many here want us to do, we will come to that here. The cowboys would win, I think, but a lot of good people on both sides would die first.

  • Kilgore Trout

Bob you are as uninformed as you are ignorant. To start with Planned Parenthood is a reproductive services provider,, abortion services for those who legally desire them are but a very small percentage of their of what they actually provide. I also find it odd that you keep talking about how the government should stay out of an individuals business and yet when it comes to womens rights you want to take all rights away from them and mandate what they can and cannot do! Abortion is a religious issue at best and religion has no place in making governmental policies, but then again I’m sure you believe exactly the same as the radical Muslims – your religion is the only true religion and we must follow those tenets strictly. You are nothing more than a zealot – the same as what you profess to be against!

    • Bob

You just can’t help yourself can you jopa? Abortion is a big part of what PP does and abortion, to any decent human being, is murder. PP also helps with sex trafficing, child molestation, prostitution, and statutory rape by covering these things up in order to make a buck providing what you call “reproductive services”. You are right about one thing though; I am against government intrusion except in the case of killing innocent babies in the womb. In that case government should intrude to prevent the murders and punish the murderers. Also, the religious have just as much right to air their views for good as you liberals do for evil.

      • Bob

Sorry – this was addressed to fishboy, not jerky jopa.

        The following from http://www.lifenews.com/2010/12/16/planned-parenthood-gets-363m-in-tax-money-abortions-rise/

The Planned Parenthood Federation of America finally released its 2008-2009 Annual report detailing its financial figures. The report shows it received more government funding, which has translated into more abortions.

The nation’s largest abortion business released a factsheet in September showing the number of abortions it performed in 2008 increased to 324,008, a 6.1 percent increase over the 305,310 abortions it did in 2007.

The total government grants and contracts received by PPFA affiliates from government sources including state, local and federal governments, increased from $337 million to $350 million in 2009. The new report shows that figure has increased again to $363 million, though it does not specify what portion of the figure was received from each level of government.

Government grants accounted for 33% of Planned Parenthood’s income compared with just 28 percent for private donations. Income from its abortion centers generated another 37 percent.

In 1997, Planned Parenthood did about 160,000 abortions and received approximately $160 million in total taxpayer funding from various levels of government. Both the number of abortions and the amount of money received from government, supposedly for family planning to reduce abortions, has more than doubled since then.

        • Vigilant

C’mon, Killjoy, it’s been over 24 hours since I posted that fine reference to the FACTS about Planned Parenthood, and you feel no need to respond?

      Kilgore Trout,

Women DO have rights & choices. They have a right to not have unprotected sex with everything that walks. They DON’T have a right to MURDER unborn babies simply because they chose to have unprotected sex with everything that walks! Planned Parenthood is an advocate & promoter for abortion. “Go ahead & do whatever you like, the taxpayers will pay for you to murder the “mistake” you made”! I don’t find that murdering 324,000 unborn babies per year “a very small percentage” of what they provide. Abortion isn’t a “religious issue” any more than it would be for me to shoot your goofy butt! IT’S A CRIME!

Since when did we become a country that makes it a “hate crime” to say or do bad things against ONLY “certain people”, treat murdering terrorists, people whose only goal in life is to kill us all, as if they were the victims, but a country who CONDONES the MURDER of unborn babies?

      • http://?? Joe H.

        barbm,
        We are in agreement 100%!!!!

      • JC

        I have to ask…if a woman is raped, let’s say repeatedly…by several men…over a period of days…let’s say YOU for example…
Did this benevolent God arrange for the gang rape so that she could raise this child that will have her reliving that nightmare her entire life?
I believe in God…but not an organized religion that pretends to tell others what they can or can`t do with their own bodies.
That is a private matter of personal conscience and God can deal with it in HIS own way. It`s not up to YOU.
That kind of religious thinking is as bad or worse that straight up communist dictatorship.

No one has any business telling other people what to do with their own bodies, which are absolutely Private Property.

        • http://?? Joe H.

          JC,
I don’t know about anybody else, but I have stated the only reasons I would not stand in the way of abortion is in rape, incest, and life and death of the mother! By life and death of the mother, I mean it is positive that if the mother has the child, she WILL die as in tubular pregnancy! In this case neither the child or mother has a chance of surviving! The child will die and if you let it go too long the mother will hemorrage till she bleeds out!!

          • usmadgirl

            Joe H,

I’m pretty much in agreement with you. With the part about the case of the saving the life of the woman, if the baby is not going to survive anyway & the mother’s life can be spared, there’s no question.

The circumstances I’m talking about are girls or women who just screw up & don’t want to be “inconvenienced” for their actions so they have abortions. You can’t tell me, out of all the millions of abortions performed, that even 5% are from rape, incest or for health reasons. And if it’s for health purposes, they should’ve thought about that little tidbit BEFORE they took the chance of getting pregnant! It’s just murder, plain & simple & I can’t believe that it’s accepted in a civilized country. Why can’t we just go around killing anybody that’s an inconvenience to us?

When I was in school, it was an abomination for girls to get pregnant before they were married. The very few that did went to a local “home for unwed mothers” & gave up their babies for adoption & nobody ever knew anything about it. Now, with all the crap they see on television, movies & internet, they think it’s perfectly fine to be a little s!*^, but they don’t want to take responsibility for it!

Nobody pays for it but the innocent unborn babies & it just makes me sad & sick. How many of those millions of aborted babies could’ve done great things? And so many of them are black. Why aren’t black people outraged at organizations like Planned Parenthood?

          • JC

Joe and usmadgirl…thanks for the feedback. I can respect those views.

  • jopa

i41;Had some spare time so I figured I would try and decipher what it is you are saying. My question to you is what do you know about education?

    • kilrntex

I know progs don’t have any.

      • karolyn

The way you are speaking, it would appear that YOU are the one lacking in any kind of education. Kneejerk responses, talk of murder, hate, etc. Not usually the sign of an educated person. Aalthough, in this day and age, one does wonder??????

        • Bob

If “educated” means lacking in all knowledge of what constitutes moral behavior, being accepting of murder, perversion, sloth, parasitism, and believing in liberal lies then I would just as soon be considered uneducated. To be slandered and insulted by regressives such as yourself is a compliment to any decent human being.

          • karolyn

What is wrong with one opening one’s mind to a different view? I have certainly changed some of my views by being openminded to the conservatives on this site. What is wrong with expanding one’s view and trying to understand others’ views. Everything isn’t black and white.

          • Terri

            Karolyn,
That is where you are incorrect. Everything is either black or white, wrong or right. When a society enmeshes itself in gray areas, that is when the problems arise. I don’t believe that Heavenly Father is threatened by questioning minds, the problem arises when the questions come not from a wanting or need to understand Him & His purposes for us, but from wanting to find a way to justify all the evil/sin that mankind too often submerges itself in.

          • http://?? Joe H.

uh, karolyn, you speak of somebodies lack of education? Although is spelled with one “A”!!!

        • 45caliber

If talk of murder, etc. is not the sign of an educated person, then you are getting the wrong education. The signs of an educated person is one who can read easily, write well, use math as needed for home and work, has enough science to ignore doom-sayers who know very little (like Gore), and knows enough REAL history to know that when something is tried and didn’t work, it won’t work the next time either. It isn’t education’s responsibility to teach anything else. The reason our kids lack a good education is because too many people are trying to teach their morals to others.

          • karolyn

True, 45. However, I believe the mark of a truly educated person is the ability to look at all sides and to realize that no one can really claim to have all the right answers.

          • 45caliber

            karolyn:

No one does have “all the right answers”. But most of us don’t claim that. Politicians do. Most Communists do as well as the socialists. Liberals and progressives generally do. The best we can hope is to use past history to identify the wrong answers and attempt to find the right ones. However, the liberals tend to want to repeat the wrong answers over and over, expecting a different ending.

          • Karolyn

Well, kilrintx, or whatever your name is, I was raised the same way and just might be older than you; but when I got old enough to think for myself, I opened my mind to more possibilities than I ever was taught existed. And I did not go to college, though I am now, at 64, so you can’t blame liberal professors or teachers on my thought processes. I’m absolutely thrilled with who I am and how God made me, and I know the He/She/It loves me as much as EVERYBODY ELSE in the Universe. We are all one!

          • karolyn

Oh, come on, 45, most posters here think they have all the answers! I know you’ve read all of them!

          • Vigilant

karolyn, making as strong a case as possible for one’s point of view does not mean the poster thinks he/she knows it all.

It has simply been the case that the conservative points to the tried and true facts of history to bolster their point of view, while the left too easily falls into the trap of using the class warfare propaganda of the communists, and attempts to appeal to emotion rather than objective fact.

It is a certainty that the leftist posters on this site have no respect for the rule of law, because they advocate the actions of government to crush the Constitution and deprive us of our God-given freedoms.

          • usmadgirl

            Vigilant,

            Well said!!!

        • kilrntex

I am educated, but not as you are. Liberal Socialist didn’t teach their BS at my school. We learned the truth about the world and were taught real education, not brainwashed crap coming from a professor who had a hard on for the world because he didn’t make the grade. As you may have guessed by now, most Texans are taught conservative values that stay with us forever. We were brought up in the church and experience a personal relationship with God. Lady, I’ll be the first to tell you I’m not even close to being perfect and never will be, but what god must like about me is that I try each day to be what he would want me to be. At night I pray for forgiveness for getting pissed off at people like you and then I pray that somewhere in your life you will see the light. It’s there, because I’ve seen it!

          • usmadgirl

            Kilrntex,

I’m from the other big “T” & we were taught true history & conservative values. I went to one of those EVIL public schools that was one of the top elementary schools in the area. When I was in the 5th grade, we moved right across the Tennessee state line into Northwest Georgia. In both schools, we had “Bible study” once a week. The lady came in with her easel & felt board & taught Bible stories. Nobody pitched a fit even though we had several Jewish students in our class (at the school in TN). Through ALL 12 years of school, I don’t remember EVER not saying the Pledge of Allegiance or not having prayer every single day & everybody participated.

I too will never be close to being perfect – I’m a sinner saved by the Grace of God & I have to ask forgiveness every night (& all through the day) for getting so angry reading some of these comments I could scream & watching progressives on Fox News & getting so PO’d that I nearly blow a gasket, but I pray for my enemies as well as my friends. It’s difficult, but I pray that God will intervene in their lives to see how very wrong they are in their thinking or beliefs.

This is very sad, but until 3 years ago, I had no idea what a “liberal” or “progressive” was. I just knew there were Dumbocraps & Republicans & I KNEW I wasn’t a Dumbocrap.

          • Karolyn

Oops! The above post was put in the wrong place and should be answering your post here.

  • jopa

45 cal.Your interpretation of a terrorist is making Bush Chaney Rummy and Wolfowitz look like terrorists.Didn’t they threaten Saddam and then kill his kids and over one hundred thousand Iraq’s before they went in and had him hung for not complying with their wishes.

    • 45caliber

No, they didn’t. They didn’t attack the women and kids first as terrorists do since they weren’t trying to create fear. His kids (sons) were shooting at ours and refused the chance to surrender. They didn’t murder 100,000 troops – the troops could shoot back. And finally he was hung by his own people for using poison gas and torture on his own people – not by Bush and Cheney.

Besides, if they did it, why did they do it? For the oil? Surprise! We don’t get any of it. And I’m certain that our troops didn’t fight the war simply to give them a chance to brag about it.

BIG difference – whether you like it or not.

    • Tom Anderson

I don’t want to be finicky, but the word is

      HANGED

      not

      HUNG

Look up the verb “hang” in the dictionary.

      • Tom Anderson

        Interesting that both

        JOPA and

        45 Calibre

have the same minimal level of English spelling – - can you do better in Spanish?

HANGED – I repeat HANGED! not HUNG

Do the flaming pinko commie liberals spell better than these guys?

        • JC

Shouldn’t you be making sure that the shirts in your closet are exactly 3″ apart?

          • Carlucci

And be sure to check on those hospital corners.

        • http://Illinois'17th Old Henry

          Calm down there Tom.

          It’s not 45. It’s his keyboard.

          Hang, Hanged, Hung?

        • Average Joe

I think you have too many hang ups about not being hung….Let me know when you become….perfect….and not until you are perfect…. (in other words, you will never have to respond).

          • JC

            Funny :)

      • barbm

sometimes the right word is hung. :)

  • Tom Anderson

    Who is responsible? DEMOS? GOP?

    1) Which president disarmed all of our US flight crews just prior to 9/11 ??? – - go look it up!

    2) Which president’s administration disarmed all of our soldiers at Ft. Hood and assured that the terrorist would be able to shoot our guys like ducks in a barrel??

    3) Which pres’s admin ordered NORAD to “stand-down” during 9/11 ? Why weren’t hundreds of our NORAD planes screaming towards the hijacked planes?

Come on now – BE HONEST!

    • Vigilant

If you had a scintilla of honesty, you would source your assertions so we could determine the source of your mental illness.

      • Tom Anderson

Do you have any idea of the difference between an

        ASSERTION

        and a

        QUESTION

Did I make ANY assertion? Your own guilt condemns YOU!

        • Vigilant

Yes, my friend, and I know when an assertion is framed as a question (are you still beating your wife?). Do you really think we buy into this child’s play?

      • Tom Anderson

        So, Vigilant,

I assume you find the prospect of a search of my 3 questions is so frightening to you that you just cannot handle it. Don’t be ashamed, most conservatives cannot handle the search, let alone, the answers to those three questions (NOT assertions).

Join and take solace in the company of your myriad of frightened compatriots.

Or, you can answer my 3 questions.

        • Average Joe

I know all of the answers to your questions.
Now, my question for you: Why do all liberals assume that just because we are “Conservatives” or “Republicans”…that we somehow fawn all over someone in a political office….just because they wear the same lable?
Before you answer, remember this…You can put any lable you want on a box of turds….but it is still a box of turds. Quite frankly, in all of my 55 years….the only Pesident that I have truly admired was JFK….and only because he tried to bypass the Federal Reserve….and bring us back to sound currency (Look up Executive Order 11110) and we know where that got him…dead….all of the rest have been a dog and pony show for the populace….and none of them has given a rats arse about …We the People.

          • Tom Anderson

            Average Joe,

Interesting comments! And, no one here will believe it, but I truly am not sure about the answers to my questions – they ALL say they know the answers – then, please, share the answers with me. Which presidents and WHEN?

Also, your comments about JFK interested me. I strongly believe that JFK needed a good killin, but, strangely, I agreed with nearly ALL of his politics. Yes, GET RID OF THE FED RES!

Are you aware that he had a tremendously serious fight with Israel over them getting nukes? (JFK was strongly opposed to nukes in Israel) As soon as LJB killed JFK, Israel got hundreds of nukes. LBJ gave Israel everything they wanted – an lots of our dead sailors on USS Liberty.

You also know that JFK had just fired Allen Dulles (CIA) before LBJ killed him? And this must be the most humorous event in history – Allen Dulles was a key guy on the Warren Commission – like having the actual murderer on the jury! Great Fun!

Seems that everyone and anyone of substances wanted JFK dead – LBJ knew it and assisted in the operation.

JFK was sharing —- with the key MAFIA guy and the MAFIA got really pissed when Bobby went after them. Kill JFK and Bobby dissappears. Problem solved.

CIA hated JFK for not issuing air support for Bay of Pigs – those poor Cuban guys on the beach pledged to kill the SOB.

JFK was suggesting that he might “retire” Hoover – BIG mistake! So the FBI was his enemy too. LBJ promised Edgar whatever he wanted.

You probably remember the exact moment that you were notified of JFK’s death – I do. But there must have been a rollicking celebration in the MAFIA, CIA, LBJ, Israel, FED RES, CUBANS, etc etc

But, truth to tell, JFK should have met his end at the hot end of a firing squad for his atrocious actions (or lack of) on PT-109. The death of those patriots are on HIS head. Boy! Did Hollywood spin THAT!

          • Average Joe

            1. To my knowlege airline flight crews have never been allowed to be armed, other than possibly during WW2 (although I am sure that many pilots over the years have in fact been armed without giving disclosure). Only Air Marshalls and other law enforcement are allowed to be armed inside of the aircraft.

            2. On military bases only base police are armed. It has been this way as long as I can remember (I went in back in 1973).

            3. That would be Dick Cheney who issued the stand down order…”Vice” President under George Bush.

As for Kennedy having many enemies, this is true….he was going 100% against everything that the “politics as usual” crowd wanted. He didn’t want to get any further in Viet Nam. He didn’t want to overthrow Castro. He wanted to disband the CIA, because they felt that they were out of control and didn’t have to answer to anyone…they were above the law.The mafia was mad because Bobby as Attorney General was going after them, because they knew too much about the Kennedy family( and all of the illegal dealings during prohibition) and was attempting to use this knowlege to sway politics and law enforcement in their favor.
On June 4, 1963 Congress passed a bill removing Silver Certificates from circulation. In response Kennedy wrote Executive order 11110 which told the Treasury Dept. to begin issuing Treasury Notes against all silver not yet claimed by the American people. On Nov. 22, 1963 Kennedy was assainated in Dallas and on the same day, the Silver Cirtificates were quietly ordered removed from circulation by LBJ and 50 billion in new Federal Reserve Notes (redeemable in nothing but more notes) were released into circulation…while the public was in turmoil over the assaination of the president…and thereby distracted.
As for the Warren Commision report, a journalist (I can’t remember which one) that had read the report, asked Chief Justice Earl Warren, “What are the American people going to do when they read this report and determine that Oswald did not kill Kennedy?” Warren replied,”That’s simple, the American people…don’t read”.
Yes I do remember where I was when I found out about the assasination. I was in my second grade classroom when the Principle announced over the intercom that the President had been shot. Whithin minutes buses were at the school to take us all home. Everyone was crying, kids, adults…even the people who hated Kennedy were distraught.Everyone was in a daze.

        • JC

“The prospect of a search? You’re certifiable! No one of normal IQ (that leaves out your compatriots) needs to search out “stacked” questions for which we know the answers you’re seeking.

Here, my logic-challenged friend, I’ll ask you just one question and you tell me if the question does or does not make an assertion:

What president has violated the Constitution of the USA the most times, up to and including not only failing to enforce federal law, but suing a state that tries to enforce that very law?

Now, jerk, tell me that doesn’t make an assertion?

          • Average Joe

Vig….now you are asking for a divine miracle….good luck with that….lol

          • Average Joe

Actually, having given it some thought….I believe the style of question is called….”A leading question”….a question with the pre-determined answer already made obvious. Courts frown upon them…as do I.

          • Vigilant

            Average Joe,

You’re absolutely right. The media is always fond of playing that game, and it’s a childish one.

        • Carlucci

Tom, I think Vigilant and others are just having some fun with you.

          • Tom Anderson

Fun? I hope so. I enjoy the give and take too. Let Vigilant have his way with me. I am from near SFO so he might catch MORE than he bargained for.

There are a few guys (OK – and gals too) I find on these streams who have some intelligent and very interesting, diverse perspectives. I love to share in those.

I understand that the US soldiers on the bus in Germany were DISARMED!!! Who ordered THAT?

Really and TRULY – I am interested in these questions. Are you familiar with any of this history – disarming of US flight crews, Ft. Hood, NORAD stand-down, etc???

I have not found a SINGLE american who can answer WHY the 9/11 pilots didn’t pull out their 45s and blow the Saudis away. (they were disarmed – WHO ordered it and WHEN?)

        • http://?? Joe H.

          Tom Anderson,
I went into the army in 1968 and the only ones that carried a weapon during duty hours was the MPs! We pulled guard duty with an empty weapon. The only time we had a fully loaded weapon statesside was at the range! Now that information is FIRST hand from me, not some stupid site that may or may not be slanted!!!

          • Tom Anderson

            Thanks, Joe H.

I believe that you are telling the truth – about your weapons.

I would have IMMEDIATELY DEMANDED that all retired and active military, FBI and Fed spooks “pack” on every flight after 9/11. They would NOT be allowed onto the plane unless they were packing. Bush did EXACTLY the opposite!

Note that Bush et. al. fought tooth-and-nail to keep our flight crews DISARMED even AFTER 9/11. Believe or not, it was Barbara Boxer (I know you don’t believe it) who led the fight to get our US flight crews rearmed.

I have MUCH more confidence and trust in our military than our recent prezidents have. I would want them ALWAYS armed and with REAL bullets – ESPECIALLY at Fort Hood – can’t we hang Bush for being responsible for THAT massacre? Or was it Clinton?

This man that is in the Oval Office is an “OUTLAW” and should be hug in front of the “White House”. He has sunk the “American Dream”. if I can work so can everyone else NO matter what your color is.

    • Angel

“should be hug”? That’s so sweet – you want to hug our president!

      • Vigilant

Just like an Alinsky socialist to focus on a typo rather than address the subject.

        • Angel

Liberals have learned a lot from their godfathers like Hitler and Stalin – that is when the truth hurts, use misdirection. Liberals are all well versed in misdirection.

          • Tom Anderson

            Hey, Bob,

I am very interested. What is your “take” on the USS Liberty?

Do you think it was an honest accident? Do you believe the Israeli’s or our own Navy guys who were attacked?

Do you think McCain’s Admiral dad was a hero or monster in how the dealt with the “investigation”?

Which do you think is the great threat to our security? Israel or Saudi Arabia?

Do you know of Gen. Smedley Butler? I believe that he saved FDR’s butt and, perhaps, our republic.

Would you be in favor of demanding a proper and open court hearing of the attack on the USS Liberty?

Why do you think that LBJ and McNamara recalled back the fight jets back to the carrier instead of allowing them to protect the USS Liberty?

WHAT was the reason for the attack on the USS LIberty? I have never gotten a good answer to that question

          • http://Illinois'17th Old Henry

It depends on where you live whether you can work or not. Where I live, men can usually find SOMETHING, although that is debatable these days. Women have NOTHING unless you want to travel 60 miles to work.

      • 45caliber

In my area, many women – and men – do travel 60 miles to work. That’s why the liberal idea of raising gas prices to prevent us from driving is so bad. Do you have any idea of what it costs us to travel to work and back every day – even if we don’t even go to the store?

      • Tom Anderson

        Dear USmadGirl,

You are right and I apologize. But would you like to try to answer these three questions:

        1) which prez admin disarmed our US cockpit crews prior to 9/11?

        2) Which prez admin disarmed our soldiers at Ft. Hood?

        3) Which prez admin ordered the NORAD “stand-down”?

I will throw in the towel and, realizing my own spelling weaknesses, not raise HUG, HUNG or HANGED anymore.

        • usmadgirl

          Tom,

I’m a girl & most girls really don’t dwell on those issues. That’s kind of like talking about different types of weapons or walking through the tool section at Sears. It makes me want to sit in the floor & whine until we get to go to the junior department or the shoe department. I honestly don’t know & really don’t care right now. That’s all in the past, but I’m sure I could do some research & find out. I’m just taking a break from work to keep from pulling my hair out.

Here I fixed it for you….

Glenn Beck is not a terrorist, nor is Rush Limbaugh. They are corpulent gasbag who profited off the same nation they have made a huge pile criticizing, but the only person who should be TERRIFIED of Limbaugh is his drug dealer.

    ***********

Rush Limbaugh is paid about 40 million per year to spew his hate and biased beliefs. They BOTH criticize our great nation, just from a different perspective.

    • Angel

      BigBadJohn,

Don’t know much about Glenn Beck, but what I have heard does not sound bad.

Sorry, jerky jopa, I am not that old and I don’t draw socialist insecurity, but I will because I paid into it. SS is not a gift from the government it is my money paid over the years and I was ripped of by regressives (formerly known incorrectly as “progressives”) who used my money to buy votes from welfare recipients and drones such as yourself. If I had been allowed to invest the money that was taken from me for socialist insecurity in a capitalist mutual fund, I would be a multi-millionair by now with no worries about the future. I ask every dimwit out there who thinks that socialist insecurity comes from our malignant government to kindly exit the country to Cuba or China because you are far to stupid to live amongst us true Americans. Also, if despising Maobama makes me a traitor, then I am a traitor because I hope to see him tried for high crimes and treason and then I hope to see him receive just punishment for his crimes against America. Last thing – I am grumpy because America is filled with ignorant scumocrats like you.

jopa, well I have served on school boards and seen what waste and how damned lazy teachers are, they don’t teach, they sit in their lounges doing”class prep”, they have several aides. All approved by unions negoations, they same dinks spend plenty of time collecting $1000 per worthless sports programs. Know must schools transportation bugetswaste over 63% of fuel budget on sports for a few kids running all over hell. Tenured teachers are off the school grounds beore most students are. Teachers needing firing for gross misbehavior are protected by unions and never are branded as pervs to protect other schools. Also they are and always have been socialist communist leaning democrats. Also jopa the books approved for history reading for students are Karl Marx, Saul Alinski, but state civics lessons and federal government classes areonly what is imagined as what is wrong with the USA. So you pus gutted union loving marxist/communist democrap anything else you want to know what is wrong with our public schools systems and the union crap, just inquire. best thing is to have more home schools and turn the education systems over to the states, and send the feds to the dung heap of life, another federal failure at best.jopa you definitely must have a smashed in skull cap, Iraqs hung Saddam not the Americans. What are you a muslim woman abuser and female killer, his 2 inbred freak sons needed to be removed from this world, the military mortians need some practice filling bullet holes plus the military took out the next generation of perverts. War breaks alot of things and arrent you forgetting the big pits of dead bodies Saddam filled, if idoits like you get killed when sheiat hit the fan, you and your smuck buddies promoted this get along crap, all coming from your marrxist muslim moron you love. Bob, jerky jopa still sponges off of his mama and can not get a job since he can not pass the pee test. Even Onumnutts got a job for him ast a bathhouse as the restroom fluffer. But got let go since he had something in his mouth always puffing on. As you have noticed most union supporters can not find or get a job for themselves. I don’t have near the years of paying into socialial security but I was paying into to in when LBJ and great society came into being. democrats have destroyed the ability for student do get a job. I started out as a yard pen rider in a salebarn atage 12, and got paid $4 a hour same as the adult workers, cann’t do that now thanks to the drunk Teddy K and the unions. Might be handling adult male livestock and could get bucked off of a rinky horse. Worked Friday night, if I wanted could work all day Sat. and Sunday 50 weeks a year. My best year I made $5680. Did that till I graduated high school. Tried to get othe class mates to work and already the idoit tube was getting a hold of students then. There was my younger brother and 3 other cousins who all worked untill we graduated. When I was old enough at fouteen to get a learners permit my folks let me take the truck to the sale barn for some small loads of livestock for neighbors. Now kids are made to be screw offs and parents don’t give them rsponsiblities. Standrads and nanny state crap would have my parents arrested for child endangerment. When a siblighad to taken to a hospital for surgeries 800 miles away, I was left with 2 brothers and 2 sisters all younger than me. They were gone almost 3 months and I had to drive 30+ plus miles in o town to go to high school, we all survived and it didn’t hurt us. Between the government dependancy for help and lack of self reliance on your self we have a nation of whimpy dorks with their damned hand outy and unable to make a decision or think about conquences of sitting with your thumb in your nose. All 6 of my kids either had jobs durning the school year and also had responsiblities of herd feeding and care when growing up. All are now productive adults and now make my grandkids work. Isee their friends and the parents who live with mommy and daddy yet, and are democrats and union slubs of at least 3 generations. If idoits don’t think the unions and the socialists haven’t mucked up the USA, 2 of my grandsons and granddaughters wanted to mow yards and rake up grass using a push lawn mowers. They can not do anything like that unless the get a $5000 bond, get a permit license and pay a waste fee. No wonder wehave educated lazy azzed fat kids and fat slobby adults. Thank the marxist/communist democrat socialists and their mental union midgets.

  • Bob

Keep an eye on the lies of the liberals regarding abortion, etc. because they are trying to rewrite history. If we don’t wrest the media from the scum of the left, the liberal lies we see today will become the “truth” of tomorrow.

    • 45caliber

It drives me up the wall to see how the libs want to change history to what they believe should be right. One girl I know pointed out to her history teacher that something in the book was wrong. The teacher told her that it didn’t matter whether it was right or wrong; it was what the government wanted her to learn – and it would be on the test that way. Even the history I’ve lived has been re-written too much. In the last text-book selection here in Texas last year, the Dems wanted to stop teaching about Thomas Jefferson and instead teach about some character who invented the fireman’s hat. Then they got mad because the conservatives wanted to keep Jefferson in the history book.

      • http://?? Joe H.

  • Tom Anderson

    i41,

I liked your comments about kids not even being able to mow lawns. I agree with you. But if I read you correctly, you seem to think in terms of black and white – GOP versus Dems?

You know that your SS dollars are going to pay for the $400 per gallon gasoline that our troops are needing in the remote outposts of Afghan? Our cost-per-kill ratio is the VERY WORST that it has ever been? You might know that during our earlier wars, the cost-per-kill ratio was either HEAVILY on our side or, in more modern times, about equal. So when Bush & Obama feed the MIC ( Obama is simply Bush with BIG ears and a nicer tan ) it eats up your SS dollars. Every empire has gone down the same path as we are on now. The GOP fritters our treasure and blood away in useless foreign wars and the DEMOS pacify the hordes with bread and games. Do you know General Smedley Butler?

If you look at the price of gold over the last TEN years you don’t even see a “blip” between the DEMOs and the GOP – - what does THAT tell you – - our empire is sinking equally fast with GOP or DEMOS – - sorry to tell, there just ain’t any difference – except Ron and Rand Paul – - and count on it, they are going to get sick or have an accident real soon.

  • jopa

i41: You claim you served on the school board. What were you serving coffee. And you even graduated what a surprise to me and the rest of the readers. You say you have a rough life but I always say life is what you make it.I didn’t have it easy in my younger days but what I did was make choices to improve my lifestyle.I was born and raised in a poverty stricken area but we didn’t even realize we were poor because all of our friends were in the same boat but we made the best of it and had fun.It really wasn’t until perhaps the last twenty or so years when I really started making good money and then able to retire in comfort.I paid many a tax dollar in my day and figure that’s just the way it is in America.Listening to your comments on your lifestyle I think you had a few government handouts over the years.

  • http://com i41

jopa I had an interesting life not a rough life. Life is only as tough as you make it. Your assumptions just made an ass of you, growing up on a ranch my parents didn’t and wouldn’t sign up for any government programs. Same as going to college I used my cattle I bought and traded work for feed costs to go a couple of years to a college. Since college cost sure don’t prove to be cost effective, I left and learned several other trades, one was a drywaller and taper, good when interest rates were down. But my CDL and mechanic tools were my bread and butter, as well as livestock raising experience. I’m not going to retire for several years yet and probably will not becasue I have seen more people die from sitting on their azz doing nothing. I have been in unions and seen they way they protect f–k offs and cover idoits that need firing. I have worked 2-3 part time jobs to make ends meet and have always had livestock but wouldn’t sign up for government meddling on my property of livestock. Even when blizzards killed 300 head of livstock, a program of placement costs covered, but that meant I’d be under the beltway slubs thumb, since I couldn’t work and make money off of the place. My family and I was never on welfare or ever has. As for people needing help churches do so much more for all people something the goat abusing muslims sure don’t or democrats do, facts by the government info collectors. Just what have you ever been elected for union slub of the month, or are you a graduate of organ grinder chocolate monkey vine hangers morons.

    • Thamera

i41: Interesting isn’t it how people like Jopa accuse people like you of the exact thing you are “fighting” against, more govt. handouts. Can they really be that confused? Like you, I was raised to work hard and although we lived in poverty, my parents would never even think to accept “help” from the government. We were also taught that “life is what you make it” but we were also taught that choices have consequences so better choose wisely! For example, if you don’t graduate from high school or if you decided to become dependent on drugs, alcohol etc., get pregnant out of wedlock…your life is going to be a lot harder for you. I don’t find it surprising that the group of people that I work with on a daily basis all of have certain things in common: 1)They are uneducated. 2) They are addicted to drugs, alcohol or their smokes. 3) They have no motivation to improve their lives. 5)They are ungrateful and complain the most of anybody I know. 6)They all exist off of welfare, government programs and private charities. Interesting to me how someone like Jopa who espouses “life is what you make it” would support without question, the entitlements of the welfare class.

      • Thamera

P.S. I forgot one more thing, #7) They ARE ALL VICTIMS!

  • Thamera

Jopa: There is a lot of truth to what i41 posted. While there are plenty of exceptional teachers in the profession; there are also a lot of teachers who are lazy and have forgotten what it means to be a good teacher, if they ever aspired to be one in the first place. Before ridiculing i41′s post you might ask yourself when is the last time you were involved in a school. Have you attended school board meetings or spent time in the teacher’s lounge? Doubtful. Furthermore, you might seek to better understand the very group of people that you so vehemently disagree with because you would find that most people on this post if not everyone agrees with the statement that “life is what you make it”. And btw, you might remember what our founders separated from England for….taxation is not “just the way it is in America.” In addition, taxes paying for teacher’s pensions and health care IS a government handout. If you truly believe that “life is what you make it” then what good are your taxes really doing for people that don’t want to make anything out of their life? You are still happy to support them? It is called the welfare state and they are more than happy to live off the backs of others without every trying to make anything more out of their lives than “getting in line” for their next government sponsored check a/k/a happy little taxpayers like you! People like you will keep the welfare state alive and flourishing and believe me they have no intention of making anything out of their lives except to ensure that people like you will keep happily paying for them to exist. I should know, I work in the “trenches” of the welfare state everyday. I’m glad that you are happily retired but don’t let that addle your mind.

    • 45caliber

One reason the crime rate among welfare recipients is so large is that crime is the only way to increase their income without risking their “free” money. Unfortunatley we are now working on 3rd and 4th generation welfare families. And crime has become a way of life for them. Recently here in Texas, a man and son were caught robbing a bank. The father explained that he was “only teaching the boy the family business.”

      • Tom Anderson

        Texas?

A father and son involved in a bank robbery? In Texas?

You mean a father and son/nephew don’t you?

Altho, I do have to admit that I have met a few admirable Texans who have NOT impregnated their sisters.

Isn’t about time for Texas to leave the Union?

        • Thamera

          Tom: Now that’s just stupid.

          • Tom Anderson

            Yes, stupid!

However, which is worse a father teaching his son bankrobbing or

Texas incest? Not a simple choice is it?

As a kid I remember a shocking (for me) article in LIFE magazine of a town in Texas (they did NOT divulge the name of the town) where incest was rampant – they had many photos and most inhabitants had VERY short thumbs and they, themselves, were very short. Brothers married sisters and Uncles married nieces, etc. Shocking to me! THAT sort of thing was VERBOTEN for us and our town/state – we could not even discuss such issues. Genetic diseases were rampant among them.

I have often wondered WHERE that town was in Texas. I have personally run into many many cases of cousins in Texas having full sexual relations – generally they did not marry. This was and is shocking to me. No wonder there are such unusual social problems here in TX.

I noticed a short article in TX today – 18 men/boys having full sex relations with an 11 year old girl! (in a town near Houston) And THAT didn’t even make major news because it is so common here in TX. Even for weirdo California THAT is absolutely shocking and totally unacceptable.

          • JC

            Back that up Tom.
            Where these people Americans?
            Were you there?
            Do you have a source?
            Are you just another propogandist?

    • http://?? Joe H.

      Thamera,
There are two types of teachers. There are the ones that look at it as a carreer or calling. These are getting more scarce each and every day! They try to instill a thirst for learning and improving of ones life. They find ways to get and keep the interest of the students.
Then we have the ones that look at teaching as a job!!! These are replacing the scarcity of the first type!! They are there to collect a paycheck and just put in their time. If a student doesn’t learn, oh well it’s the students fault not theirs! If a student is a challenge, they will pass them just to get rid of them, the hell with whether or not they can read when they graduate!!

      • Thamera

        Joe H: I couldn’t agree more.

  • http://com i41

Thank you Thamera, poverty is just a state of mind and hard work and times only make you tougher. Look at how many spoilt drug heads we have in our society today. As a member on the school board, there was a problem with miss behaving brats and class screw offs. Since the superintendet and principal were sure their hands were tied, I volunteered to find a solution. I spent about 2 months after school with the detention trouble kids. Since it cost extra funding to hire more aides. I had a load of pit run what is referred as ni–ar head rocks delivered in an open area. Snce hammers for shop class are plenty, several of these kids were put to work breaking big ones into little ones. If they start playing the bar room lawyer routine, I’d just go call Mom and Dad. I never had a parent complain and usually was told if I kept them for several hours they didn’t have to worry where they were. When kids found out there wasn’t any place to whine too, problems almost stopped for the brats. Teachers started to putting more in detentions to get order in classrooms. If the younger one would not sit in seats a few sessions on washing buses and vacuming usually got the point drove home. Taxpayers need to do the same damn thing with the union screw offs, wheather in public service or working for a company. Between unions and marxist/communist democrat socialists, they are just thugs and aretoo damn lazy to do a full days work for a days pay. The terrorist who shot the soldiers in Germany knew that an unarmed person had a better chance of getting hurt by being shot then if our soldiers at the airport had guns to fight back.

chuckb, the other school board members were wiggin out for the first month, but the parents were my biggest supporters and my biggest idoits I had to put up with were the some tenured teachers who were older than dirt and even mentioned it was just wrong. When my 4 year term was done and the school could get nobody to apply for transportation director. We were consolidating middle schools and that was a real challange to shuffle 6-8th graders. First I seperated boys from girls, used 2 buses for boys and 2 for girls. used age as a determining factor so 6th and younger 7th was on one bus and older 7th and all of 8th on last bus. When the boys got to acing up I made them march single file and when some just couldn’t behave they got to grab the chain link fence until everyone was loaded them I came back and got the trouble makers who had to sit in the front of the bus. It took a few months to break the seniority crap to get the bullies to settle down. A few years later several jioned the military and they always come up and siad that was the most learning part of their lives for treating others with respect and school was so whimpy with no rules. I can always remember my few male teachers I had as 7th and 8th grade years who were fresh out of college and had been former ranch boys them selves. In fact I got to meet my 8th grade teacher who came to my Dad.s funeral last Nov. I got to ask what the hardest part of me being his student was, he said to seperate another 8th grader from fighting mono to mono. At disagreements. Apparently he had heard I was a reserve depupty and had gotton a few commadations for some arrest I had made. I said his help was we could of have been problem cases if he hadn’t told my folks what was going on and his solution was making us sledge hammer rocks after school every day.

The latest news on democrats getting brains, is that this spring when lemming are going off the cliffs. Then inject the sample in dumbocraps ears, since the area is pretty empty, dark, and warm, hope and it will change into something useful. In one short year dems will go marching off of the cliffs of life, so the Tea Party members can save the USA.

  • Dan az

As an informed American, you already know that Barack Hussein Obama deserves impeachment. But can he be impeached? Or to put it another way; exactly what constitutes an impeachable offense?

Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution reads: “The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on Impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”

Obama hasn’t been charged with, or convicted of, treason (although many would argue that his behavior is certainly treasonous) and he has not been convicted of bribery (although it is entirely possible that he has actively sanctioned bribery while in the Oval Office on a number of occasions… the Sestak allegations are just one example).

But Obama has MOST CERTAINLY committed “high crimes and misdemeanors?”

And what does “high crimes and misdemeanors” mean anyway? Well… some would have you believe that the term refers to some kind of lofty felony… an act so egregious that it is beyond human comprehension… but that’s simply NOT TRUE. Our Founders were very familiar with the term… it’s from English Common Law, and essentially means “bad behavior” … and anyone who tells you otherwise is either grossly misinformed or a liar.

Are we saying that our Founding Fathers actually set the standard for Impeachment of the President of the United States at “bad behavior?”
Yes, that’s exactly what we are saying.

Strange isn’t it? When people starting talking about the impeachment of Bill Clinton years ago (a battle that we started by the way), far too many pundits deceptively told the American people that Clinton’s actions “simply didn’t rise to the level of impeachment” … what a load of propaganda… they actually tried to make the American people believe that turning the Oval Office into a House of Ill Repute and then committing perjury to cover it up simply didn’t rise to the level of “bad behavior.”

But then again, some of these pundits had been in Washington for so long, they wouldn’t have known “bad-behavior” if it bit them in their chair-pushers.

Newsflash, our Founders actually intended that the person occupying the highest office in the land should be held to the highest standard and that violating that lofty standard made that person unfit to hold the office.

Here’s a passage from CSPAN.org that explains the intent of our Founding Fathers more clearly: “The Congress decides the definition [of impeachable offenses]: by majority vote in the House for Impeachment, and by 2/3 vote in the Senate for conviction. The Framers of the Constitution deliberately put Impeachment into the hands of the legislative branch rather than the judicial branch, thus transforming it from strictly a matter of legal definition to a matter of political judgment.”

CSPAN.org continues: “Representative Gerald Ford put it into practical perspective in 1970, when he said an impeachable offense is ‘whatever a majority of the House of Representatives considers it to be at a given moment in history.’”

Is it an impeachable offense for a president to REFUSE to do his Constitutional duty and DEFEND and ENFORCE all of the laws of the United States… he’s NOT the Supreme Court after all… he just can’t take a pass… he simply cannot choose which laws he wishes to defend and which laws he does not wish to defend.

Is it an impeachable offense for a president to attempt to take over every major industry?

Is it an impeachable offense to take over and devastate the world’s best health care system?

Is it an impeachable offense to be so blind to reality and so compliant to the worst elements of radical terrorists… that you put American lives at extreme risk?

You betcha. Obama’s behavior is BEYOND BAD. The Obama Administration’s behavior could be the dictionary definition of maladministration. Obama could replace Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen as the poster-children for bad behavior.

Obama and the maddened leftist fools around him are gutting this great country from the inside and are penning a sorry chapter to our noble history.

Impeachment, as written in the Constitution, was tailor-made for Barack Hussein. Our Founders placed it in our Constitution for such a time as this. It could be easily argued that we have a DUTY to impeach Barack Hussein Obama.

Of course, our elected officials won’t have the back-bone to go it alone. They have failed miserably to defend us until now. They cannot be relied upon, at this time of great peril, to do the right thing without feeling a small amount of pressure. The question is not whether we should impeach Barack Hussein Obama. Rather, the question is, can we impeach Barack Hussein Obama before it is too late for us, our families and our great country?

    • Tom Anderson

      Dear Dan AZ,

Why all these attacks on Obama? Do you seriously believe that there is any significant difference between Obama and “W” ? other than one is Yale and the other is Harvard?

Remember that W jerked off in the Skull and Bones casket and did coke and whiskey, while Obama was a simple pot head.

W Bush increased the size of the Fed Guvmint MORE THAN ANY PRIOR prez and, likewise,

Obama increase the size of the Fed Guvmint more than any prior prez

so, PLEASE, what is the difference??

Take a look at the PRICE OF GOLD, which is, in effect, simply a measure of the decay in our US Dollar – - you will NOT see even a little blip when Obama takes over from W. The decay was smooth and CONSTANT.

I am very sorry to dissillusion you, but there is NO difference between Bush and Obama except that:

Obama is Bush with BIGGER ears and a better TAN

Anyone who suggests that there is ANY significant difference between DEMOS and the GOP are dunderhead simpletons. THAT is what they want you to believe.

      • Allan Halbert

Of course there is a difference, a big difference. We support Republican principles in general, and we are disappointed in their performance in general. We don’t support LP principles or actions in general. Surely you can see this.

        • Tom Anderson

          Allan,

Obviously, I disagree. The GOP (under the 2 Bushes) and the DEMOs have BOTH been driving our empire into the ground. Why are you willing to give the GOPers a “pass” when they violate the constitution yet you criticize Obama when he does it?

Why do you critique Obama when he grows the Fed Guvmint, yet W expanded the Fed guvmint more than ANY prior prez – did you complain then?

I appreciate hypocrisy as much as the next fellow, but this is too much! W did Stalin proud and Obama is simply following in W’s steps.

What is worst? Your declared enemy or a traitor? Obama is a significant enemy, but W was a friggin traitor. You should have focused ALL of your patriotic furor at getting rid of W. If you had gotten rid of that traitor then Obama would have never been able to ascend to the presidency.

          • Vigilant

So, according to Constitutional scholar Tom Anderson, expanding the size of government is a treasonous offense.

“Why are you willing to give the GOPers a “pass” when they violate the constitution yet you criticize Obama when he does it?”

            (1) TA pontificates on what’s Constitutional and what’s not, but fails to give ONE example of it re the Bush presidencies, while Dan az has the intellectual honesty to provide hard evidence. I could come up with an example of it in the GWB presidency, but Anderson can’t. C’mon, Tommy, give us just one example, or shut your pie hole.

            (2) Within TA’s cockeyed set of priorities, the mortal sin is NOT that the Constitution has been violated, but that equal blame has not been assessed. That is both childish and intellectually dishonest.

            (3) TA’s lack of proficiency in mathematics is also evident. As I said, I could come up with ONE example of GWB’s violation of the Constitution, TA has not provided even one. Moreover, I, like Dan az, can provide NUMEROUS cases of Obama’s disdain for the rule of law, but TA chooses to ignore the facts, and instead runs off to the sidelines to carp about cases of current or past bad behavior that in no way rise to the level of impeachable offenses.

            (4) We see where his true sentiments lie when he fails completely to mention Clinton, the man who clearly violated his Constitutional oath and who did indeed commit an impeachable offense. In the damaged “mind” of Tom Anderson, perjury is not an actionable crime under the provisions of the Constitution.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            Tom A.
you need to look a little deeper as it has been stated by people that KNOW that Nobummer used and sold coke!!!! Dig a little deeper!!!

      • Dan az

        Tommy
I have to agree with you bush was a little better looking than the monkey we have now.I don’t like either one but bush is gone and left behind his monkey, and now its time to get rid of him!You sound as if you are here just to start sh-t.You dont sound like a libacrap or a marxist prog so what exactly are you?I’m a libertarian and could careless what you are but just curious.

        • Tom Anderson

What am I? Tough question – probably closest is ultra – REALLY ULTRA conservative/libertarian.

“bush is gone and left behind his monkey” – I don’t believe that is the proper sequence. I believe that the MONKEY is the direct result of Bush. Think about it. A Black commie (Obama) could have NEVER risen to the presidency UNLESS you had a blithering buffoon like W preceding him. The US public did NOT vote for Obama, they simply voted AGAINST BUSH (as represented by McCain) and all that Bush represented.

W was the VERY best thing that ever happened for the DEMOS. Likewise, the GOPers ought to bow down before Obama – he is responsible for the recent resurgence of the GOP.

I am looking forward to the day that we have an option that we don’t vote AGAINST.

I like Ike – our last great prez! Who else would have the guts, against all his buddies, to take on the MIC?

          • Vigilant

“What am I? Tough question – probably closest is ultra – REALLY ULTRA conservative/libertarian.”

You are neither conservative nor libertarian, and if that’s a “tough question” for you, you don’t even have the mental stability to properly classify yourself.

From your postings, you are a provocateur who stands against everything remotely resembling authority, probably an anarchist. You have little to no knowledge of the Constitution and the basic principles upon which this nation was founded. You have no respect for the rule of law.

In short, my guess is that you have an arrested mental development, and have never in your life passed that mental age of 14 or so. Rebelliousness, not reflection, is your credo.

          • Vigilant

BTW, Ike did not take on the MIC, he simply warned about it. You’re history-challenged as well.

        • Tom Anderson

Oh, by the way. Hang Obama? Of course, but I would have his corpse swinging right next to Rummy, Cheney and W.

It is very healthy to occasionally execute our chief executive!!! It would be wise to have a trial too – before or after the execution – not too important. What did Jefferson say about blood feeding the tree of freedom?

But, much more importantly, I would dig up LBJ and hang his remains from the congress’s ceiling for Tonkin, killing JFK (altho I believe JFK needed killin), stealing all of the silver out of our coins, defiling our military corpses, allowing the attack on the USS Liberty, … I could go on like this all night about LBJ. Perhaps the best is to surgically remove the reproductive organs from his girls (his illigitamate son was murdered – don’t have to worry about him) so that his DNA is erased from the COSMOS.

          • JC

        __________________________________________________________

Yeah…one is American and one isn’t.
(which is not an endorsement of Bush)

      • Vigilant

Tom Anderson doesn’t have a clue about what’s Constitutional and what’s not. In his “answer” to Dan az he addresses not ONE impeachable offense.

“Remember that W jerked off in the Skull and Bones casket and did coke and whiskey, while Obama was a simple pot head.”

Officials are not impeached for offenses/bad behavior prior to assuming office. TA is apparently unaware of that.

“W Bush increased the size of the Fed Guvmint MORE THAN ANY PRIOR prez and, likewise, Obama increase the size of the Fed Guvmint more than any prior prez”

That is neither a high crime nor misdemeanor except in Anderson’s fevered brain.

“Take a look at the PRICE OF GOLD, which is, in effect, simply a measure of the decay in our US Dollar – – you will NOT see even a little blip when Obama takes over from W. The decay was smooth and CONSTANT.”

        And that’s impeachable?

To parody Anderson’s misspelled conclusion, “I am very sorry to dissillusion [sic] you, but there is NO reference in all of your reply that challenges the main thrust of Dan az’ contentions regarding Constitutional misconduct.”

        • Tom Anderson

An impeachable offense is whatever Congress decides it is at that particular moment. Neither Obama or W could tie a full windsor, and Congress should impeach them for THAT alone.

Likewise, W and Obama could conspire with the Mossad to execute 9/11 and THAT would not be impeachable simply because Congress decides so.

I consider the disarming of all of our 9/11 pilots an impeachable offense – but it is NOT since the Congress doesn’t care. Likewise an order to NORAD to “stand-down” is NOT an impeachable offense since Congress decides it that way.

FDR attempting to “pack” the supreme court is NOT an impeachable offense because Congress decided it that way. Congress decided that the LBJ’s false-flag Gulf of Tonkin non-event was also NOT an impeachable offense.

W or Obama can do ANYTHING they want and it is NOT an impeachable offense unless Congress decides so. But, perhaps you know better. I am not a constitutional expert.

Thank you for pointing out my spelling errors.

          • Vigilant

Your paltry and wan excuse for a reply proves my point. You do not understand the Constitution, nor do you think it necessary to refer to the law of the land when making judgments of legality.

“W or Obama can do ANYTHING they want and it is NOT an impeachable offense unless Congress decides so. But, perhaps you know better. I am not a constitutional expert.”

You’re entirely right in that I DO know better. Even on the surface, your “logic” is faulty. No one is impeached for offenses for which there is no statutory or Constitutional basis. Congress may choose to impeach for political reasons (as in the case of Andrew Johnson), but that impeachment has to be substantiated by legal pretext.

“W and Obama could conspire with the Mossad to execute 9/11 and THAT would not be impeachable simply because Congress decides so.” WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! Constitutional remedies for plotting to overthrow the government or giving aid and comfort to the enemy, let alone statutory proscriptions of conspiracy and murder are both actionable causes. Congress has no charter to summarily disregard (and therefore disobey) the law of the land.

“I consider the disarming of all of our 9/11 pilots an impeachable offense – but it is NOT since the Congress doesn’t care. Likewise an order to NORAD to “stand-down” is NOT an impeachable offense since Congress decides it that way.”

You, my friend, are not the arbiter of what’s impeachable and what’s not, unless you’ve recently become our dictator. Rule of law means nothing to you, yet you label yourself ultra-conservative/libertarian? Get a grip on who you really are.

“FDR attempting to “pack” the supreme court is NOT an impeachable offense because Congress decided it that way.”

No sir, your grasp of American history is pitiful. The SCOTUS itself ruled the action as unconstitutional, thereby removing any threat of impeachment. Attempting to violate the Constitution in bypassing the amendment process is not actionable unless it is successful.

“Congress decided that the LBJ’s false-flag Gulf of Tonkin non-event was also NOT an impeachable offense.” Perhaps you’d like to cite the Constitutional or statutory basis for that claim?

  • Tom Anderson

    Dear Vigilant,

How perceptive of you! I don’t know about the DHS, but you are indeed correct, the FBI has my number. But it gets better, the DOJ has my number and email address too. I have very close family members in both beauracracies.

History challenged? Yes, I admit, I am THAT too. Rebellious and mentally unstable? Very likely too. And I misspell regularly too. And I point out other’s misconjugations.

However anarachist? I have never been described as such before. Seditious and a traitor? No, I am sorry that I do not rise to the level of Gen. George Washington – our most famous Father and traitor to his King and country. That I should have such courage as George!

And I have to hand it to JC too. I had a bit of respect for Goering for his special treatment that he demanded that our downed flight crews receive in German POW camps. But, in saying that, you should recall that Admiral Nimitz went to bat for Doernitz who was Hitler’s successor – in fact Nimitz’s testimony SAVE Doernitz’s life. I also loved Goering’s quotes about the MOSQUITO – it showed what an intelligent and equitable guy he was – but on the wrong team! Our filthy GESTAPO-CIA would have “rehabilitated” him too if they felt in the mood – like Werner Von Braun.

    • JC

You completely missed my point and praised a Nazi…
So, does delusional twisted thinking run rampant in your family?

      • Tom Anderson

Delusional twisted thinking … I don’t know if it is “rampant” in my family, but autism is pretty common in my family. And attacks on the mental health history of my family don’t offend me. Is THAT the best reproach you can make?

But REMEMBER, Admiral Nimitz came to Doernitz’s defense too. Go attack Nimitz! And you would be in good company, Nimitz suffered a courts martial too.

Isn’t life delusional, twisted, gray, chaotic? But not to worry, God is on our side.

Missed your point? Could you explain in a bit more detail? I DID miss your point.

        • Vigilant

“Go attack Nimitz! And you would be in good company, Nimitz suffered a courts [sic] martial too.”

Nimitz was court martialed as a young officer for grounding a boat in poorly charted waters. What’s your point?

          • Tom Anderson

My point? That event was crucial in helping to develop Nimitz as a priced officer. Attacks, if they don’t kill you, only make you stronger. That is my point. So, yes, go ahead, attack the mental health history of my family, call me an Arnold or Rosenberg or Hitler. I was hoping for a more intellectual and entertaining attack rather than your same old Benedict Arnold porridge.

And I believe that we will just have to agree to disagree. I believe that the CONGRESS can and does impeach for ANY DAMN REASON that they want. I don’t LIKE that and YOU don’t like that, but that is just the way it is. Most of congress’s decisions on impeachment (or lack of – a la Clinton, FDR, Nixon etc) have been extremely political – that is not “right” but it is reality.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that congressional impeachment is one of the very few acts which is NOT subject to judicial (supreme court) review – our Founding Fathers did THAT on purpose – impeachment is TOTALLY a political act, whether we like it or not. Always has been and always will be. You want it to be based on proper concepts of order and legality – I do too, but THAT is not reality.

Are YOU giving Nimitz a “pass” simply because the waters were NOT well charted? The court did NOT see that as a mitigating factor and I don’t. Nimitz took full responsibility for his error – he didn’t whine or whimper about “I had no notion … etc”. He manned up to his folly. And I don’t give him a pass either! Nimitz was A GREAT naval commander! – - but he refused to be buried in his red-necked, hypocritical Baptist-belt, incestuous Central Texas homeland – he is buried in faggotsville – - military cemetery just south of SFO – - next to the homosexual (and US Marine – Viet Nam) who saved Gerald Ford’s life. Life is messy ain’t it?

    • Vigilant

“No, I am sorry that I do not rise to the level of Gen. George Washington.”

More like “sink to the level of Benedict Arnold or Julius and Ethel Rosenberg.”

    • Vigilant

TA says, “I had a bit of respect for Goering for his special treatment that he demanded that our downed flight crews receive in German POW camps.”

“A bit of respect” for a war criminal?

      From Wikipedia:

“Göring was deemed complicit in the Holocaust: he was the highest figure in the Nazi hierarchy to issue a written order for the “complete solution of the Jewish Question”, as he issued a memo to Reinhard Heydrich to organize the practical details. Göring, who issued this memo in place of Hitler, which he occasionally did, wrote in the memo to “submit to me as soon as possible a general plan of the administrative, financial and material measures necessary for carrying out the desired final solution of the Jewish question.”

      • Tom Anderson

Goring was NOT the head of the NAZI party of our NAZI Germany, yet he was condemned to death. Doernitz WAS the head of both and he was spared the death penalty.

What? Do you think that I am going to try to justify the Holocaust? But I WILL justify the mitigation of Goering’s sentence because THAT will tend to save our servicemen in future conflicts. You present much too simple of a picture. If everyone in the NAZI regime knew that they would be executed, there would be NO incentive to try to help our pilots like Georing did. Georing went overboard to protect our downed aircrews – we should have made some accomadation for him like we did with Doernitz. All of the rest of the NAZIs should have been hanged – including Werner Von Braun.

Besides, we did not hang the Emperor of Japan – another example of practical politics. If we had hanged him we would have had many more dead US servicemen in trying to pacify the country.
