The Ron Paul Buzz Heightens With Santorum’s Exit

The Ron Paul Buzz Heightens With Santorum’s Exit
UPI FILE
It may never be over for Ron Paul.

Rick Santorum made the decision to “suspend” his campaign on Tuesday, leaving Mitt Romney, Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich as the remaining contenders for the Republican Presidential nominee. Now what?

Romney has long been declared by the GOP establishment and mainstream media as the definite front-runner in the race. But for the sake of the 24-hour news cycle, nearly every other candidate has been afforded a moment to relish in the limelight as his “rival” — every candidate, it seems, except Paul.

With Santorum’s exit, the “Paulbots,” “Paulites” or whatever the MSM have branded Paul’s supporters this week have become energized, and some pundits believe they have good reason. Throughout the primary season, Paul and his supporters have frequently decried the lack of media attention given to the candidate despite his campaign’s ability to organize and energize supporters in ways the other contenders could only hope to emulate.

But now, some people are left wondering if the media will be forced to recognize Paul as a real alternative — even if he is trailing — to Romney as the race enters the final stretch and the candidates make a mad dash to the Republican National Convention in August.

The prospect seems unlikely. The New York Times declared on Monday — even before Santorum’s exit — that the primary has reached an endgame in an article entitled “A Living Autopsy of the Ron Paul Campaign.” Despite the article’s death-declaration of a title, its author could not help but note the obvious: Paul’s positions are popular to a large base of Americans.

Seemingly representing the best of both worlds in a political sense, the candidate’s fiscal ideology is the stuff of dreams for Republicans — specifically Tea Party types who believe Paul Ryan’s recent budget proposal to be lackluster in the “cuts” department. His wish for a smaller Federal government bridges gaps between libertarians, Republicans and independents. And though Paul’s foreign policy makes many hawkish conservatives queasy, it represents a silver lining to Democratic voters who supported Obama for similar peaceful proposals and were slapped in the face.

Paul is often called dangerous by the elite within the military-industrial complex, yet he receives more campaign donations from active-duty military personnel and veterans than any of the other candidates. Do these troops know something the general public — the average hawkish conservative — does not? Lost in translation to many Republican voters who prefer small government is the Paul axiom that big military is big government. In fact, about 27 cents of every 2011 Federal income tax dollar went to military spending, according to the National Priorities Project, a nonprofit, nonpartisan research organization that analyzes the Federal budget.

Paul and Gingrich have both vowed to stay in the race until the convention, but an interesting caveat for fiscal conservatives considering a vote for Gingrich: The man, who if elected would be charged with repairing a national economy that is in extreme debt, is bouncing checks on the campaign trail. Some pundits have noted since the beginning of his campaign that Gingrich has used the primary mostly as a book tour.

Paul’s campaign still has money to burn and the dogged determination of a well-organized base of support, and many within his base believe — despite MSM reports — that Paul actually has enough delegates to pose a major threat to Romney. They base the assertions on the fact that many of the delegates remain unbound to any one candidate, and the delegate-count numbers are constantly fluctuating.

Even if the MSM are correct in asserting that Paul is no threat to Romney as the primary draws down, the candidate has energized a mass of people who seem to represent a serious threat to the political status quo. In a recent POLITICO article, “Ron Paul’s baby boom,” it is noted that Paul’s Presidential bid and the growing popularity of his message have encouraged a growing number of people who do not identify as wholly Republican or Democrat, but rather as supporters of liberty, to become politically involved. Even if Paul loses this battle, it looks as if he has set the stage to win the war.

Ron Paul’s campaign is well founded in our Constitution but it is up and running against not only Gingrich and Romney but the subversive Obummer and his Chicago/Communist/Anarchist cronies. It is difficult to say whether or not RP will finally win the nomination – hopefully so – but as to what lengths the Obummer moles would go is . . . Maintain a very strong support base and pray for the best results – Romney is not our answer by far.

    • GALT

Ron Paul is NOT your answer either……you do NOT live in a constitutional republic, you have no rights and you are not FREE.

Why do these 2 people roam freely and commit crimes with no end in sight,( obummer & Eric Holder)free USAmericans today, his entire administration is fraudulent and very few people are asking for Justice, very few people are calling for his impeachment,it’s on hold
        for the election ?

        • T i m

To Rocky or Gault , ???? The whole world watched what happened when congress tried to impeach Clinton . Slap on the hand , get back to work . Congress must vote for impeachment , they will not , because it means they must impeach themselves , because they all allow executive branch to do what it wants . There has been no public out cry , so nothing changes . We people must demand all congress be fired . Ron Paul has said some of this . The welfare population is to big to fight , so Obama does what he wants . My name is T i m

When you watch the video you will understand that the constitution in no longer valid, so to call it “illegitimate” is simply not the case, you have surrendered your rights, in exchange for privileges and benefits……one of which is the use of currency. Ron Paul actually makes a brief appearance in the video, and while he seems to suspect that the
Federal Reserve is part of the problem, he has no idea of the mechanism or the scope of it, and Judge Neopolitano is equally ignorant, or they are both lying. ( and it is strange for a judge NOT to know this…..because when the subject of “jurisdiction” or “rights” is raised in a “courtroom”……you would most likely be cited for contempt…..unless you understand the proper argument…….now the video is a bit tedious, but it is accurate……..and anyone who makes the claim that ANY government action is “unconstitutional” is either ignorant,
lying, wasting their time and yours, and simply distracting everyone from the TRUTH, which is a requirement for anyone who seeks to extract themselves from the tyranny

      • GALT

That looks like a good site……my original source for this was the Freeman Compendium, couple of decades back……doesn’t seem to be it print anymore…….the stuff is pretty effective……..and you can pick and choose your spots…….problem is that it’s really hard to motivate people to try it out…….and the other problem is, if you watched the video, it starts with a big disclaimer about the content not constituting legal advice……and you can’t use a lawyer, because if they are not “ignorant” as are most, they are owned by the bar association and would be risking their careers…….and you may have noticed, integrity and character are in short supply. Ironically, this enslavement is “voluntary” and it’s not real difficult to unvolunteer……so what I find most humourous on sites like this, is you have all these people storing ammo and guns, waiting for FEMA……ready to go to war….but they are terrified of walking into a courtroom……….or using the law that is available to them…..and simply asking questions….they could be out of the tax system in no time.
Today, patriots buy guns, ammo, seeds, perpetual motion machines……while simultaneously preparing to profit with all this investment advice……the end result is…
they will simply be hung seperately.

      • Nadzieja Batki

GALT, do you go on the Independent Individualist site for some of your information or The Autonomist?

      • GALT

Neither, in fact I am not aware of either one…….as stated, I have been pretty much been involved with this for three plus decades, and used various printed sources of information with the above named one ( freeman ) being the most comprehensive. Of course, major experience and education have come from direct confrontation with government authority, to include the irs, local law enforcement, state courts, employers and a brief fling with the TreasuryDept. (secret service) This has led to certain improved strategies based on these experiences…….with no ill effects or negative consequences except the payment of a $50 fine in the late 80′s, as a plea bargain deal offered by the prosecutor, in a brief recess before trial was to begin ( my first )……..a conviction would have resulted in a year sentence
and fines in the $1200 to 1500 range. Because it was my first time, discretion got the better of me……..but realised that this result also indicated that they were way more afraid of me than I was of them……and I have never backed off since. ( and never lost )

Romney can only wish he could have Ron Paul supporters backing him. That won’t happen,it’s out of the question.we all know Mitt = butt
and is unelectable.Dr Paul will smash Obama in a fair election!!

    • MRMO57

The key word is fair. we have all seen and read about the the kind of things Obummer and his union thugs and commie buds have pulled. This is going to be a tuff battle when we get past Mitt, let’s all pray for Mr. Paul !! He is are only hope to save America from were we are at this point.
      For GOD & COUNTRY
      RON PAUL “2012″

      • http://aol mysaaed

It is not America, it is the wolrd. We, the Americans, has been world’s leader for decades. All we see is fight, fight, and fight. Paul wants to change thid leadership to one that help the
human beings in this World to live in peace, prosprity, under the leadersip of the USA. Vote and support RP.

    • http://www.dwgint.net/finlander Robert Echola

Do you REALLY EXPECT to have a FAIR ELECTION?

  • Larry B

Sam, when are the Paul supporters going to realize he is never going to be the GOP nominee, much less POTUS. He has very few delegates and Romney will probably win every primary from here on.

    • http://www.ifonlyphotos.com Alex Frazier

That’s not exactly true Larry. In fact, in many of the caucus states, the popular vote directs the delegate vote, but they aren’t truly obligated. With Santorum dropping out, many delegate votes will be able to swing in a different direction. And Gingrich isn’t exactly snapping them up any more than Paul throughout the primary process.

You have to remember that Romney is not particularly liked. A vote for Gingrich or Santorum previously was in all actuality a vote against Romney. So I wouldn’t expect any floating delegates to go rushing over to the Romney camp.

All that aside, Romney still has to acquire the requisite delegates (1144 I think) to secure the nomination. If he doesn’t reach that goal before the convention, it becomes a brokered convention. The popular vote would be superceded by a free delegate vote. And the Ron Paul campaign has been scooping up delegate seats in county conventions across the country.

So don’t write Paul off just yet.

    • dan

Keep sipping on that MSM koolaide, Larry….a steady 20% of Repubs and 50% disgusted Dems comes out to a landslide. No, I won’t ever vote for a Mc Romney again ! If it were a FAIR election, we Ronulans would be even further ahead.

    • T i m

Mr. Rolley , I am 1 of the Paul bots , and will continue to support Dr. Paul . I am a 3 rd generation military veteran . Dr. Paul has said everything I want to hear . His personal bio blog says he declares faith in Jesus Christ . The Elite media criticizes Dr. Pauls foreign policy because they do not want to miss a paycheck . Ronald reagan signed a treaty with Russia , 3 0 years ago , called Star Wars . Was that a joke or real . Even though the BUSH Family has endorsed Mr. Romney , I STILL BELEIVE , Dr. Paul has the right answers . Mr. Larry B go head and vote for mr. Obama . You can continue to pay the welfare population from your recorded check receipt , SAME AS EVRY PERSON DOES . Obama is depending on the welfare population and the teachers union for re election . Mr. Obama told the world news , he is not concerned with the labor force vote . He is going after the un employed , ( welfare ) , same as he did last election . Add the teachers union to it . So many people do not know , Democrats and Republicans , WELFARE IS PAID FROM SOCIAL SECURITY . I will never see any social security . My father died from cancer after 4 0 year career in civil service . All his money gone to welfare . Congress been talking about changing this for decades . Maybe Dr. Paul can . Politically correct term for welfare is ENTITLEMENTS . We must call it what it is . Entitlements is WELFARE . Every recorded wage earner in the nation pays it , through social security . The more you earn the more you pay . So many people do not know this . I am gratefull to see this story in support of Dr. Paul . T i m

        Bush family ….criminal globalists
        I wouldn’t want their support

    • texastwin827

Larry, there’s a reason the people who voted for Santorum didn’t vote for Romney. Santorum’s delegates are up for grabs…they don’t automatically go to Romney.

Are you even aware that Ron Paul beat Gingrich in 6 out of the last 11 primaries? Probably not because the MSM didn’t exactly make that “common knowledge”. Actually, I should say 6 out of the last 10, because the 11 included GA, Gingrich’s home state, which he knew he would take.

Santorum’s delegates are free to select whomever they want. Many of the primaries also do not bind their delegates to the popular vote. Ron Paul will likely have more delegates than you would think…because many of those delegates didn’t want Romney, to begin with, and they sure don’t want Gingrich.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1339255666 Rhonda Reichel

Larry….when are YOU going to admit Romney will not win because of Ron Paul supporters?

    • grossyi

The Republicans are deluding themselves again. As McCain got slaughtered so to shall Romney. As much as I abhore Obama, I will not vote for Romney. A socialist on the left and a socialist on the right. Third party seems reasonable.

    • Steve E

There again, you have another victim of the GOP Establishment Wholesale Brainwashing Machine.

      • T i m

Dr. Paul is doing better than the media gives him credit . Democrats are depending on you not knowing the real truth . Democrats are depending on the un educate and the teachers union ( no Pun intended ), add the welfare population to all this .

    • TML

“when are the Paul supporters going to realize he is never going to be the GOP nominee, much less POTUS”

Um… when the elections are over, and if Ron Paul isn’t the nominee, or wins the general election, then I’ll realize it.

      • T i m

My name is T i m , as long as you are determined to think negative about DR. PAUL , you have already lost . As soon as AMERICA stands up and excercise our individual faith and Pray GOD protect us from satan , This thing will work out as it should . We complain about having a Muslim illegal president , so why did we do that . Dr. Ron Paul has declared his faith in Jesus Christ . He has said everything I want to hear . The republican Party has got to beat the welfare population . I will continue to support Ron Paul for president . T i m

      • TML

T i m says, “as long as you are determined to think negative about DR. PAUL , you have already lost”

Didn’t think what I said was negative … it was more of an expression of, “it ain’t over till the fat lady sings”.

    • http://www.facebook.com/RagesFury Rage Fury

Larry, when are people like you going to figure out that Ron Paul supporters are only going to vote for Ron Paul?
You will not be winning the General Election without us. Have a pleasant day.

      • T i m

You must stop following Romney in blind faith . Mr. Romney is not going to change anything . RON PAUL is AMERICA’s only hope . T i m

      • http://www.facebook.com/RagesFury Rage Fury

        T i m, I do not nor have I ever, followed Romney.

  • http://gillysrooms.blogspot.com GILLYSROOMS IN AUSTRALIA

Sirian…Dr Ron Paul does not need to worry about the current President who you call a commununist when the other candidates Romney and Gingrich are only offering more of the same Comy big government spending plans just in different directions. If your republican supporters are really for what Dr Ron Paul stands for then they got no option but to Go all the way with Ron Paul. That done…then Dr Ron Pauls message will be heard loud and clear by more people who will understand his message and vote him in. The media wont help until they see the mainstream Republicans put their votes in his support…until then Pauls republican opponents will encorage the media to ignore Ron Paul.

As much as I hate to say admit it now, but the biggest opponents of Paul are not the Democrates at this stage but rather the other Republican candidates who are talking RP down to the media. It a selfish tactic which is hurting the real Republicans if they are true to their word to reduce government..

    • olinda

I was for Rick Sentorum but he stop the campainand becouse i want sombody else to take care on the American people i will go for the last standing gop dont matter who the gop is as longer we have some body else better than obama…..

      • EyesWideOPEN

@olinda.. “i will go for the last standing gop dont matter who the gop is as longer we have some body else better than obama”..

… So (heaven forbid) the last man standing is Mitt Romney.. Do you actually believe you’re own propaganda? It what way, shape or form can you see any difference between these two monkeys? That one is better than the other? You need to take you’re head out of the clouds and REFUSE to make it go that far.. I can safely predict that if everybody voted for Ron Paul, he would win..Okay, so it’s logical this would happen if everybody voted for Ron Paul.. But it can’t happen if one person won’t start it.. Are you willing to start it? Don’t worry, I’ll be right behind you.. Anyone else..?

        • T i m

          Ron Paul

      • T i m

Olinda , It is up to us people , to scream to the state delegates , we want RON PAUL . The Governors of 3 states where I live have endorsed Mitt Romney , all because the BUSH family has endorsed Romney . Mitt Romney said during 1 st Iowa Vote last fall , he is not concerned with the peoples choice , he is going after the state delegates . THAT MAKES THE PEOPLES VOTE USELESS. State where i live , Voted Santorum last month , STATE DELEGATES GAVE IT TO ROMNEY . We people have got to scream to all 50 states , delegates what we want . From what I understand , the delegates are required to sign a plege of allegience to the party and what it wants , and take that to the voting box. In other words , the delegates are told how to vote . The nations teachers union and the welfare population , put Obama in last election . DEMOCRATS are depending on the again .

    • Robin

OMG this was one of the best comments so far!!!! I also agree with T I M who I believe has a faith and trust in Jesus Christ as I do. I did support Rick and was sick about him leaving but now we do have a decession to make. I am reading more on Dr Ron Paul and his views and desires for America and the more I read the more I like him !! I see how Romney is and he is not who America needs for President. I wasn’t for him in the beginning and Im not for him now. God knows the desires of our hearts on getting this country back in order, thats where Prayer comes in.. Pray like you have never prayed before… My thought is that a lot of people want to vote for Dr Paul but are afraid if they don’t give their votes to the highest bidder than Obama will get re-elected… Its a scary process but we have to believe in who we are voting for and hope that some Americans will feel the same and cast their vote for Dr Ron Paul…

      • T i m

My name is T i m . I apprciate the compliment to the HOLY SPIRIT . Don’t give it to me . As my faith is strong , there would not be any faith except for JESUS CHRIST . That is the whole point of my message . I read a lot , GOD has forsaken AMERICA , and probably so . AMERICA is so ful of hate , how can GOD BLES US . If we chanel our hate , against satan , GOD might bless us . I read lots of stuff about statistics . Most of AMERICA beleives in GOD , no one talks about JESUS CHRIST , except in profanity to scream about something bad . Any given , Sunday , the appointed time for CORPORATE WORSHIP , most of AMERICA is at the lake , or race track , or cutting grass or any other thing besides being obedient to GOD . Why do we wonder why AMERICA IS SUFFERING under satanic rule . WE ASKED FOR IT . The government of JESUS day set him up for death , because JESUS would not stop preaching against the false doctrine of the Sanhedrin . JESUS message never changed . RON PAUL has been in politics most of his career . His personal blog says he Confesses faith in GOD and JESUS CHRIST . RON PAUL’S MESSAGE HAS NEVER CHANGED . Rick Santorum stayed in the presidents race because the ETHICS COMMITY OF THE BAPTIST DENOMINATIOM in Nashville Tn . ENDORSED him last fall . 2 weeks ago , the same person who endorsed him , on behalf of THE CHURCH , siad it is time to step down . The BUSH family endorsed MITT ROMNEY ,past CHRISTMAS . Said Romney will be the next president . The Republican ” ESTABLISHMENT ” has already declared Romney the president , and the people have not voted yet . RON PAUL IS BEING BLACKED OUT IN THE MEDIA , BECAUSE , THE ESTABLISHMENT , DOES NOT WANT TO MISS A PAYCHECK . How many members of congress you figure own stock in wall street . 1 st 4 names quickest to mind , Nancy Pelosi , John Mccain , Jay Rockefellor , John Kerry …….Pelosi family owns delmonte food company of califonia , Mccain is in top 5 ceo’ of comcast cable service , he is main reason , nation was forced to pay for cable service , no more antennae , you are paying him right now , with internet service , You pay Jay Rockefellor every time you go to gas station , since he owns Chevron / Standard oil company , and John Kerry family owns Heinze ketchup company …That ius just 4 names of congress . Nancy Pelosi got her hand spanked last fall , over insider trading on stock market . MARTHA STEWART WENT TO JAIL OVER HERS. Dr. Paul wants to stop all that . DR. RON PAUL’S MESSAGE HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE SAME . That is why he is a libertarian at heart . I hope this helps any one who does not understand . I will continue to suport DR. RON PAUL .

  • http://www.mototcarsfinancial.com Brad

Ausie i agree with you 100% but I dont think it will ever happen

  • http://www.ifonlyphotos.com Alex Frazier

My own personal fear with Santorum dropping out of the race is that many of the delegates that might have been secured by Santorum may end up with Romney now. Romney was going to have a hard time getting the requisite delegates to secure the nomination while Santorum was in the race.

With the Santorum crowd no longer able to count on their warmongering neocon, their vote will have to go elsewhere, and that could put enough delegates in Romney’s corner to secure the nomination. Although I do hold out hope that the people who were voting for Santorum were actually voting against Romney and will redirect their votes to one of the other two.

At this point, I don’t care where the votes go, as long as they don’t go to Romeny. Paul’s only hope in this race is a brokered convention, which won’t happen if Romney gets the delegates he needs.

  • http://www.bigsunday.com Randy Rose

Ron Paul is the only Candidate who can beat Obama. Ron Paul wii cut spending and taxes just like Grover Cleveland and just like the roaring 20s we will have the roaring teens.

  • Alienwilly

Go, Ron Paul, Go. I am sure as a “boomer” myself that Paul is the best possible choice for everything we believe in. There is no quick fix for the financial mess we are in. We have to straighten out our beliefs before we will fix anything else.

    • T i m

Contrar sir . I do agree AMERICA must fix our faith 1st if that is what you meant . Also , I beleive , and have said so repeated ly , for years , THERE IS A SIMPLE SOLUTION TO ANY NATIONS ECONOMY . We must stop following the leader over the cliff. The Democrats are following in blind faith , and the Republicans are not doing anything to stop what is being done . AMERICA has the technology to be completely self suffient . Our automobiles should be getting 5 0 to 7 5 miles from a gallon of gas . It is not in the engine . Our textile industry’s can make our own clothes . We must stop carpet burning our forest in the name of preserveing the rest of the forest . There is a simple solution to stopping forest fires . Commerce and Agriculture Departments must let the farmer get back to farming . Our college kids are building their own cell phones and computers already . There should never have been a housing forclosure problem , from the beginning . And maybe the biggest solution to all this , CONGRESS MUST OUTLAW CORPORATE BANKRUTCIES , WHICH IS THE ROOT CAUSE OF ALL AMERICA’S ECONOMIC PROBLEMS . Congress is not going to do this , because most members of congress own stock in the commerce department . Senator Jay Rockfellor owns Standard / Chevron Oil company . Probably biggest supplier of fuel for military . It was when daddy John , owned the company . Web information says , John Mccain is in top 5 C E O ‘s for Comcast Cable service . He is biggest part of the reason , for GOVERNMENT MANDATE , every house must pay for cable service provider . I do not remember the people screaming againtst that when BUSH was president . Every person who watches televion in the nation , pays John Mccain , every month . All you people who are reading this computer message , is paying a member of congress a residual for cable use . From what I have read , Dr. Paul is trying to stop all the abuse of AMERICA’s economy , from congress . Nancy Pelosi got her hand spanked , over insider trading last fall , when she got caught . MARTHA STEWART WENT TO JAIL OVER HERS . This response is too long , I am sorry . This issue is ssoo big . Last 1 about all this , the Democrats are depending on the welfare population and the teachers union , for re election . Tell every one you know , since lots of people do not know ……WELFARE IS PAID FROM SOCIAL SECURITY . Welare is called ENTITLEMENTS . T i m

Ron Paul must be on the ballot in 2012, so people have the choice to vote for smaller, more constitutional government. RP can win the Republican nomination in a brokered convention. The second way he can get on the ballot is as a 3rd party candidate of the Americans Elect party. Go here to support his nomination:

    http://www.americanselect.org/about

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1339255666 Rhonda Reichel

be careful of AMERICANS ELECT if you plan to be a delegate for Ron Paul you may be disqualified by the GOP for that…..otherwise go for it

      • T i m

You can add this to your post . Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry tried to change this . I did not happen ……Virginia has a requirement to vote . The vote must sign a plege of allegience to the party , TO BE ALLOWED TO VOTE . This was reported in the CNN news last fall . Gingrich and Perry were not on the balot . Virginia does not want any one to change their mind at the last minute , and change parties .

      • kkflash

Good point, RR. A person can’t be a delegate for more than one party for obvious reasons. But, how many people actually are planning to be delegates for the Republicans? Answer: 2286. Everyone else can be voting for Ron Paul in the Americans Elect caucus in 25 days.

      • Steve E

Tim, Just to let you know, the signing of the allegiance to the party in order to vote was repealed in VA just before the VA primary. I voted for RP there and did not have to sign anything.

        • T i m

Glad to know that . Another form of media spin . My information came from CNN headline news . My comment was mostly to encourage every one to watch out for voter fraud , same as you are doing . I will continue to support Ron Paul . Even though I know why , It still amazes me , Obama does not have a challenger from the Democratic Party . All the state delegates from the Democratic side , they all agree to allow Obama to continue to destroy AMERICA , and Christianity . Blind faith , from the welfare population and teachers union .

A vote for Romney or Obamination is a continuation of the same of what we already have. Romney Care is a model for Obamination Death Care. Romney by his own admission would have voted for the two ILLEGAL Bills that took away our 1st and 5th Amendment rights. What does that say about Romney but that he is the same tyrant Big Government Big spending Idiot that we have NOW!! Ron Paul is the only Conservative Constitutional candidate that has never wavered from his belief in our Constitution and our 2nd Amendment Rights and did not vote for any Budget increases the two bills that took our 1st and 5th Amendment rights and the only one who wants smaller Government, close 5 Illegal Government agencys and want s to Audit then close the anti-American Federal Reserve get rid of I.R.S., cut $1 Trillion fron the 2013 Budget and reduce our taxes and close our borders and get rid of 40 Million Illegals that have cost us over 32,000 Dead Americans and costing us $500 Billion a year. Want a REAL CHANGE then forget Romney/Obamination (would be a great ticket) for the New Communist Party VOTE for Ron Paul an AMERICAN.

      Thank you for your service.

I find it amazing that the people who want to push us into eternal war mostly have never served their country. I would like a requirement that you have to serve four years active duty or if less, in combat, before you can even run for POTUS. This would sure make the choices a lot simpler this year…

Best Presidential campaign 1-min 49-sec short video I have seen to date:

Romney doesn’t draw these big crowds…no enthusiasm what so ever
IF the people demand Paul I guess all their rigging of elections won’t help them cheat us this time

  • Dave

Ron Paul should challenge Obama to a debate right now. He would steal the show and crush Obama in a debate. He should dog Obama at every campaign stop just like Mr. T did to Rocky. This would the a show everyone would want to see!. You could even invite Romney.

Yes Dave….Ron Paul needs to get on TV and challenge him….if they will ever let him on any shows…..keep writing them requesting a Paul appearance….he needs to go off script and make some noise

As we can see, the unfortunate withdrawal of Rick Santorum from the 2012 race is giving the delusional Ron Paul supporters another excuse to campaign for this unelectable old McGovern like crackpot. But I’ll never be convinced. It’s ironic that many republicans thought Ronald Reagan was too old to be POTUS merely because he turned 70 just after his first inauguration. Well, MoRon Paul is about 7 years older than that. So why not encourage this old nincompoop to retire?? Sadly the GOP is down to 3 candidates – a RINO named Mitt Obamney, an old crackpot, and only one decent candidate left – Newt Gingrich. Although I suspect Newt may be getting a bit senile, he still seems sharp enough to beat Obama, and prove to be better than Obama. Of course I favor Newt over the “Romneycare” RINO and the old crackpot!!

    • T i m

Sir, Newt Gingrich caused a lot of the problem AMERICA has today , with Reagan 3 0 years ago . Jimmy carter signed stuff congress pushed , then , NO ONE has changed it , till now , through RON PAUL . Reagan was not the dearly beloved ever one preaches . I will continue to support Ron Paul . My name is T i m

    • Mike

Your repeated name-calling merely had me questioning your intelligence… then your profession of support for Newt confirmed my suspicions. I see that Queens and it’s Department of Education is well represented.

      • T i m

My name is T i m , Mr. Earl your post hints the proof , YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM . You need to re read your history . Ron Paul has fought the ESTABLISHMENT his whole career . The things he talks now , SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE DECADES AGO . Ronald Reagan was NOT the dearly beloved every one says he was . I beg you do not listen to the media . They are paid to derail Dr. Paul . The Republican Party must be strong than the teachers union , and the welfare population . Every recorded wage earner in the nation pays welfare through social security . I will never see any social security . I will continue to support Ron Paul .

TIME TO FACE THE FACTS…SANTORUM’S DELEGATES WILL NOT GO TO ROMNEY & ARE HIGHLY UNLIKELY TO GO TO GINGRICH. SANTORUM’S PEOPLE WERE FOR HIM BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T LIKE ROMNEY & COULDN’T STOMACH SUPPORTING “OBAMA LIGHT”. HIGHLY DOUBTFUL THAT THEY’LL MIRACULOUSLY HAVE A CHANGE OF HEART & SUPPORT ROMNEY NOW. GINGRICH’S “CAMPAIGN” IS ON THE VERGE OF FINANCIAL IMPLOSION AT ANY GIVEN SECOND, SO WHY SUPPORT SOMEBODY WHO MAY OR MAY NOT BE AROUND UNTIL TAMPA ? NOPE, I BELIEVE THE WHOLE DOG & PONY SHOW JUST GOT UP-ENDED. TRUTH IS, ROMNEY’S MOST LIKELY IN SERIOUS TROUBLE NOW. DOES MITT DRAW CROWDS OF UPWARDS OF 6,000 AT HIS RALLIES ? NO, HE DOESN’T. HAS GINGRICH EVER DRAWN MORE THAN A COUPLE HUNDRED AT BEST ? NO, IT HASN’T HAPPENED YET. RON PAUL’S CROWDS GROW BIGGER & BIGGER WITH EVERY RALLY. THIS WAS HAPPENING EVEN BEFORE SANTORUM DROPPED OUT. SO ASK YOURSELF, WHO IS THE MOST OBVIOUS BENEFICIARY OF SANTORUM QUITTING ? WHO HAS THE MONEY TO CONTINUE FIGHTING ROMNEY ? WHO’S SUPPORT BASE GROWS DAILY ? WHO HAS THE MOST LOYAL & ENERGIZED SUPPORT BASE & BEST ORGINIZED CAMPAIGN ? WHO HAS A MESSAGE OF FREEDOM, SMALLER GOVERNMENT, NON-INTERVENTIONISM, CONSTITUTIONALISM, PERSONAL LIBERTY (FREE FROM “NANNY STATE” INTERVENTION & CONTROL), REDUCED SPENDING, & CAN ACTUALLY EXPLAIN ALL OF THESE PLANS IN DEPTH WITHOUT THE USE OF A TELEPROMPTER ? AHHH, THE ANSWER BECOMES CLEAR…RON PAUL !!! IF YOU HAVEN’T BEEN TO http://WWW.RONPAUL2012.COM YET, I STRONGLY URGE YOU NOW MORE THAN EVER TO GO THERE & LISTEN TO THIS MAN SPEAK HIS MIND ABOUT WHAT’S WRONG & HOW TO FIX IT. I PROMISE IT WILL NOT BE A WASTE OF YOUR TIME & YOU MAY JUST LEARN A THING OR TWO WHILE YOU’RE THERE. WHO KNOWS ? YOU JUST MAY COME AWAY SUPPORTING RON PAUL AFTER YOU HEAR HIM SAY THINGS YOU’VE BEEN SAYING FOR YEARS. THAT’S HOW I CAME TO SUPPORT RON PAUL, ANYHOW. THE GUY MAKES SENSE, PLAIN & SIMPLE. HOW MANY POLITICIANS CAN YOU SAY THAT ABOUT & BE RIGHT ABOUT IT ? ANYWAY, TAKE SOME TIME TO LISTEN TO RON PAUL & MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND ABOUT HIM WITHOUT INTERVENTION FROM MSM SHILLS SAYING HE’S CRAZY – HE’S NOT, BUT MAKE YOUR OWN DECISION ABOUT HIM. R3VOLUTION, BABY !!! RON PAUL 2012 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a Paul supporter, but I believe that the military’s 27% share of federal government expenditures is way too low. It should probably be at least 50%. Of course I think we are spending far more on the military now than is required for defense and we need to decrease military expenditures by concentrating on defense rather than nation building. How do these two statements go together? Well if we return the federal government to what is constitutionally authorized, we will be getting rid of most of what the federal government does. Most of these things should be done at the state level if at all.

The ” average hawkish conserative” is just as ignorant of the economic causes and consequences of our military budget as is the gravy sucker at at the bottom of the Liberal heap. In the Near East the Chinese, who have wasted nothing (money, time, influence, lives…) are snarfing deals for the resources (crude oil, rare earths…) that our gravy suckers at the top do so covet. With corruption so lavishly interlaced between the Republocrats and the Demicrans (Mike and Ike) and a media beholden to the higher powers of both, it is small wonder what we hear concerning RP. His message is clear and untainted and always has been. Perhaps this is why he has survived thus far in such an outlandish primary and against such rediculous ad budgets.

Rasmussen has Paul ahead of Obama, at least for today..

  • Rocketman

Not minceing words but the GOP leadership are idiots. They have consistantly turned away from Paul but look at who he is bringing in, thousands and thousands of college students, the future of the Republican party. They had better start waking up and realize that if they continue this much longer that those college students won’t be voting Republican in the future, they will be voting Libertarian.

  • Charlotte Juett

Gary Johnson who is running on the Libertarian ticket has already said he would step aside and take the VP position if Ron Paul does not get the GOP nomination.

  • Howlingmad

This FIGHT, is FAR from over . . . even the Lame Stream Media KNOWS IT, its why they REFUSE to report on him, other than to say hes NOT A THREAT, but they ARE going to find that their “SO WRONG”: !

    Interesting Fact:
Warren Harding went into the brokered 1920 convention with only 6% of the delegates, but emerged as the party’s nominee. Harding won the general election in a landslide and took a very non-interventionist approach to the Depression of 1921.
