The Revolution Begins

October 22, 2010 by

The Revolution Begins

Revolutions have historically begun by small sparks that smolder for a while before becoming raging infernos that ultimately envelop and overwhelm statist government. That spark may have been struck this week in Memphis, Tenn.

ExpressJet Airlines pilot Michael Roberts refused a full-body scan at a Transportation Security Administration check point at Memphis International Airport. He also refused “an enhanced pat down” from a TSA employee and was sent home.

He told The Commercial Appeal he wants to go to work and not be “harassed and molested without cause.” He also called TSA a “make-work” program that doesn’t make travel safer.

“Pat down is misleading,” Roberts told CNN. “They concentrate on the area between… the upper thighs and torso, and they’re not just patting people’s arms and legs, they’re grabbing and groping and prodding pretty aggressively.

“I was trying to avoid this assault on my person, and I’m not willing to have images of my nude body produced for some stranger in another room to look at either.”

The TSA said in a statement that “security is not optional” and any person who refuses security screening is not allowed to fly.

Roberts has put his career on the line to stand up to the Orwellian government. He’s drawn a line in the sand against state sponsored assault in the form of needless radiation scans and worthless groping.

Contrary to TSA promises, backscatter radiation machines can and do store nude images of passengers — adults and children alike. And the radiation is harmful, despite propaganda to the contrary. Recent reports indicate the scans increase the chances of skin cancer on everyone and are especially harmful to pregnant women and young children.

If pilots and flight attendants refuse to submit to this needless assault and passengers find other ways to travel and avoid airlines all together, the airline industry will scream and government would eventually have to stop its blatant disregard of 4th Amendment rights. A revolt that takes money out of the pockets of fascist in business and government would be quickly understood.

In America, simply traveling by airline makes you guilty of plotting some sort of unlawful act until you submit to government and prove your innocence. If this doesn’t turn the very Founding principles of our country on their heads, nothing does. Unlawful searches and seizures was one of the grievances the colonists had with the British government. It should be one of our grievances as well.

I dont feel that there is any more security with the lame tsa as there is with the so called homeland security nazis. If they want to feel you up to get there jollies then return the favor,if they need some porno then give them something that they didnt expect to see.Ill leave that to your own imagination.Frisking old ladies for weapons or bombs and letting the islamic people go though untouched being politically correct just dosnt seem to me to be the most secure way of stopping a terrorist from High jacking a plan.I say we all stop flying for a week and watch the airlines profit go down the tubes and see if they dont agree.

    • Bruce

It might take a while to get this kind of protest off the ground. Many have flights booked a long time in advance for vacations. The business traveler has very little option. It really is a small percentage of those that can choose to fly or not this week or month.

      • FreedomFighter

All this security is because of radical Islam and the threat they pose to everyone in the world. Indeed the threat is real and is world wide, supported voluntarily or not by Muslim countries.

There is a solution and victory.

Victory over radical Islam is very possible, by letting generals fight our wars, not politicians, by fighting a war to win—total unconditional victory, by making war so horrible no sane person wants it.

Give Islam a real reason to rid the world of Islamic radicals.
Radical Islam is a factional part of Islam, have Islam police its own radical factions. Currently Islam as a whole has no reason to police its own, why should they? Radical Islam threatens moderates with death and torture, Americans hand out candy bars, food, medical supplies and money. Radical Islam uses its peaceful Islamic counterparts as human shields, places of worship as weapons caches, sanctuaries and bases of operation, Americans have placed them off limits for attack. Americans use only surgical strikes to minimize killing those not directly targeted and many other self defeating rules of engagement.

We Americans and the world need to demand Islam clean up and eliminate its own radical elements. If not, full scale war against Islamic nations will be waged. What do I mean by full scale war?
Give fair warning, set a time limit then unleash the full potential of the American military war machine:

Remove the rules of engagement and let the generals fight the war to win.

Don’t send troops; send death machines and weapons of mass destruction, demand total unconditional surrender and reparations. Use the kinetic energy weapons and conventional ordinance to destroy infrastructures, nukes not needed. If this fails to motivate, unleash the Directed Energy Weapons, Kinetic, and conventional weapons to wipe out entire populations of governments that refuse to clean up radical elements. Bomb them with kinetic energy projectiles then fry them with Directed Energy Weapons, leave very few survivors.
If they nuke, reduce the entire offending country into a slab of molten glass, as a warning for others.

We have the means to end worldwide Islamic terrorism, but in all fairness we should let Islam clean itself up, extermination of an entire people is not any sane person’s first choice solution. Radical Islam could be eliminated in just days, if we as a nation have the will to force Islamic governments to eliminate the radical factions, else be eliminated. I believe we are quickly coming to the point when all out war will not only be on the table, it may be the only choice. Give the sane Islamic people a reason to subdue radical elements within by making even the thought of war so horrible no sane person wants radical elements in their country.

I agree also!!! But with this administration, It will never happen. Having said that, all his talk of political correctivness, is and will be the hump we have to get over first.
Jaun Williams has found out the hard way, as to this subject, as well as the AIRLINE PILOET.
Will we stand for all this or not, that is the QUESTION, My andwer is HELL NO.
Propaganda is being taught in our SCHOOLS, CHILDRENS TV, and other places such as TV. ADS. One in particular but it was pulled I think, not sure tho. Hopefully elections cure this but just in case ALL THINGS SHOULD BE ON THE TABLE.

There was a time that terrorist attacks on US, British, and Russian civilians were unthinkable because the price to the people and the countries harboring them was much too high. Now this isn’t even a thought because there is no will among the liberals and RINOs in our government to safe-guard our citizens.
If you want peace and safety you must prepare for total war. The only way to be left alone is for the price of attacking to be too high.

          • Dogma-Free

hahaha…I love all the CAPITAL LETTERS in the replies from some of these tea-baggers, and even moreso, all the typos and spelling mistakes!

It certainly is the quickest way to show that you like to express what the people who aren’t thinking, are thinking.

          • libertytrain

Dogma – Some here could start pointing out the amount of errors on the leftist side, however, that would create a grammar site rather than a personal liberty site — pointless; as your comment was.

          • JeffH

DOGMA. “and even moreso”. moreso? “More so” should always be spelled as two distinct words. ‘Nuff said!

          • Granny Mae

            Dogma,

I see the mistakes in your typing too ! You are an idiot !

        • Karolyn

There is no way to end terrorism. There will always be somebody coming up behind whoever you kill. With all the “collateral” damage resulting from using mega-weapons, more people will want to join the terrorist agenda. Who do we think we are anyway?

          • FreedomFighter

            We are Americans.

Terrorism cannot be eliminated entirely, but Islamic radicals can be eliminated entirely.

          • DaveH

Sorry, FreedomFighter, but I’m with Karolyn on this one. The only possible way to eliminate terrorists is for our military to become worse than the terrorists. Not a viable solution in my book.
We need to bring our troops home, stop the invasion of our own country, and carry a big stick.
My solution to 911 wouldn’t have been politically correct, but I do think it would have been effective without all the loss of lives that we have incurred (them too). We should have done our best to determine the source of the attack and then carpet-bomb the area until we did 3 or more times the damage to them that they did to us. And then get the flock out of their country. Yes, some innocent lives would be lost, but then 3000 innocent lives were lost in 911. You can bet their fellow citizens would be pretty pissed at the terrorists for bringing our wrath upon them. I believe a few times of that, and they would be pretty reluctant to mess with us anymore.
Compare my solution (about 10,000 to 15,000 lives lost) to the reality of our 10 year involvements in Iraq and Afghanistan. Estimates are all over the place, but there have easily been over 100,000 deaths (all war-related deaths) as a result of our involvements in Iraq and Afghanistan. And over 4000 United States soldiers have lost their lives in Iraq alone.
We don’t need to be the World’s Policemen to protect our country.

          • marvin

            Karolyn
ok so do you want to be the first to give in or die some people only understand force unlike you that think singing kom by yi we will over come an,t going to happen, take illegal aliens they want change to what they perceive is we dumb american will give them what they want, radical islam want you to give in give up or dead

          • Karolyn

I would beg go differ. There will always be terrorists of all kinds.

          • Karolyn

Marvin, As long as there are people who believe as you do, there will never be any kind of lasting peace in the world.

          • Michael J.

            Karolyn,
Trying to derive peace from appeasement is like trying to make chicken soup out of chicken scat.
State sponsored terrorism is nothing new, however it is seeing a resurgence as anti western countries realize it as a way of voiceing their beef without fear of direct retalliation.
As much as you will hate to hear it, Bush had it right when he stated “You’re either with us or your with the terrorist”. He then threatened swift action against countries harboring said terrorist.
Suddenly the left began to preach the limp wristed politically correct nausea which gave the terrorist the green light to proceed at light speed against the perceived weak western infidels. If however, conservative minded leaders had been allowed to prosecute the war WWII style, we would have enjoyed a worthwhile victory in a shorter amount of time with less loss of life on all sides.

          • Dogma-Free

wow, Karolyn…it’s refreshing to see some common sense here! Thank you.

The other thing to keep in mind is, who is to say who’s a terrorist, and who isn’t? As the saying goes, one man’s “terrorist” is another man’s “freedom fighter”. All one has to do is to look at the post-WWII history of what America has been doing in the Middle East, to really understand why some (if not most or all) of them might be mad at us.

One other thing I would like to say is…

WHY THE F**K didn’t Baby Bush and/or Rudy Giuliani, put a simple evacuation plan in place for the WTC buildings, seeing as they had advanced knowledge of the “attack” on 9-11 (from the August 6th PDB)…???!? Did they not want their fellow Americans to get out alive??!?

          • old white guy

kill them until they beg for mercy and then show them mercy and teach them how to live.

          • Granny Mae

            Karolyn,

It is true that we will probably never end terrorism but we have to keep fighting because the alturnative is to let them win ! Is that what you want? Not me ! The only thing we can do is to make it too costly for them to continue. It has to cost them something they don’t want to give up, and that isn’t their life thats for sure ! Maybe they need to start loosing their worship centers ? I don’t know but it has to be something they want more than life itself !

          • Granny Mae

            Dogma Free,

There was an evacuation plan in place for the World Trade centers and a lot of them made it out because of it, those at or above the crash sight didn’t have a chance ! As for your freedom fighters and you seem to feel so much passion for these terrorists, why don’t you take your happy a-s right on over to their side and see how far you get. You talk like a man with a paper A*s ! And a brain to match ! Stay out of the rain !

        • Robin from Arcadia, IN

Freedom Fighter… Your solution sounds radical, but the Islam agenda is no less radical. I am sick to death of ‘politically correct’ crap. Profiling is a necessary evil. How can anyone not see this?

          • Granny Mae

            Robin,
You are so right and I too am filled to the brim with all this political correctnes, who the cat hair said it was correct in the first place? Not me ! I’m tired of all these crybabies that complain that you can’t do this or you can’t say that. Well where are they when it comes to me and my desires for Christmas? Who said a store clerk can’t wish me Merry Christmas? Where are all these politicaly correct people when all these so called stars get on TV and bash my Lord or my desire to worship in the Christian faith? Why is it OK for me to have to look at a cresent moon with a star over it on the top of some building but I can’t place a cross on some private hill next to a highway ? Why is it that my son can’t carry a small bible to school with him and read it on his luch time but there can be provisions made for muslims to pray several times a day? Why is it that I can’t stand on a street corner and ask people to come to my church but it is fine for muslims to stop trafic everyday so they can come outside in public to pray on the street ? Oh I see a Bad Moon rising !

        • ValDM

While I admire the thought you put into this post, and believe it would work, I have to take exception with your term “moderate Muslims”. Ain’t no such thing. Call the ones you consider “moderate”, sleepers, if you will. We all know what sleepers do. They let the radicals pave the way for them to come in and do the mop up work. When dealing with muslims of any sort, resort to the law of the jungle: kill or be killed, eat or be eaten.

          • slickporsche

The real truth revealed. They are all bad, there is no such thing as peaceful Muslim. They are mostl laying in the weeds and waiting. Why if you are a Muslim, and we are the infidel, would you want to live in our country? TO slowly but surely repopulate the US with Muslims, and then take control like they have done all over the world. OH yes, and then there is the Mohammed cartoon the brought all the peaceful Muslims into the streets for acts of violence. Peaceful my ass!

          • Kinetic1

Funny, this is the way people used to talk about the IRA. Of course it’s a lot harder to profile Irish Catholic radicals.

          • Michael J.

            Kenetic1,
Your kenetic energy must be in need of a recharge. IRA freedom fighters never sought global domination nor the proselytization of christianity. Are you well? Sounds as though you are confusing a severe allergy with a bad analogy.

          • eddie47d

Kinetic should have stuck to the Christian Crusader analogy, Michael for that would have been a little truer.

          • Granny Mae

            slickporsche,

You have it right. Have you noticed all those signs they carry about what they are going to do to the US and other countries? There is no such thing as a moderate muslim. They need to go back to where they come from. Their country is all set up for them and they have lots of room to take them back and I don’t think any of us will hold them back ! As a matter fact I will hild the gate for them to leave and close the door and turn out the lights when they are gone ! Good riddence !

        • DavidL

You ask, “…Islam as a whole has no reason to police its own, why should they?”

They should because radical Islam is PRIMARILY targeting Moderate Islam.
I recommend a good book: “No god but God.” By Reza Aslan. It discusses the origins, evolution, and future of Islam.

For the sake of our own safety, and if we are smart enough to understand why, we all should be supporting moderate Islam against radical Islam. President Bush did. He was right.

          • Bob L

Good words David, also of interest might be Rushdis’ Satanic Verses. Supposing the brave fighting forces in Afghanistan and Iraq greased their bullets with pig grease. Holy name of the prophet, no virgins, no heaven, horrors.

          • Granny Mae

How do you tell moderate from radical? These people can sit next to you everyday and be your best friend and as soon as something happens they switch like a light or they disappear and after the fact you find out that your friend was ready to kill you and your family if he had too ! That my friend is our problem. There is no way to tell friend from foe ! When that happens then you have no choice if you want to live, but to consider all of them radical ! What a shame it has to come to this !

          • Granny Mae

Consider this sheik in NY. He is all friendly to our face here in the states but as soon as he goes to the middle east he is all against us! I say if the moderats want to live here and live our lifestyle then they should start giving up the radicals to the police . We need to stand firm that there will never be sharia law in this country. EVER ! If they want to live under sharia law they will have to go back to the middle east.

          • independant thinker

“I say if the moderats want to live here and live our lifestyle then they should start giving up the radicals to the police .”

I agree completely Granny Mae with the addition of the following. If they will not give up the radicals and vigorously condem them and those that support them publicly then they are not moderate.

          • LeRoyZ

You say radical Islam primarily targets moderate Islam??? Was the U.S.S. Cole, moderate Islam?? The Marine barracks, moderate Islam? Our embassies, moderate Islam? Lockerbie….moderate Islam? Achille Lauro, moderate Islam? I may be missing something, but I’m not going to look too hard for it!!!

          • Karolyn

Leot! There have been a lot more Muslims killed by radicals that in all the American attacks put together!

          • old white guy

unless the followers of islam rewrite the koran the violence against unbelievers will not stop. a rewrite will not happen in your lifetime. keep your guard up and be prepared to fight.

          • Kate8

For everyone who loves to talk about all the ‘moderate’ Muslims in the world, and in America…well, that may be. But lets not lose sight of the fact that Islam teaches Muslims to befriend and ‘make peace’ with the infidels until they are strong enough to overcome them. This IS what they have done throughout history. How else could they have conquered the countries they now hold.

This was done in Lebanon, which used to be predominately Christian. The Christians accepted the Muslims into their country, as they were very liberal in their views of ‘diversity’. The Muslims were peaceful until they gained enough numbers, and then they went on a murderous rampage against all non-Muslims – in the country that welcomed them.

Remember also that the Koran tells them that they are obliged to lie, cheat – do whatever necessary to establish themselves and build superiority in strength.

How is that we are told that we must be tolerant of a people who’s religion it is to LIE, pretend to be peaceful, and then turn on us? Doesn’t that make us really stupid?

          • http://?? Joe H.

Yes, There were all those moderate muslims in Brittain when 9/11 happened that were pulling people from their cars and making them say allah is great under threat of bodily harm!! Real moderates!!!!

          • Granny Mae

            Karolyn,

I would like you to present some figures to prove that! If you don’t it is just a meaningless figure of speach ! A lot more muslims killed by radicals than Americans in all the attacks put together ? Where are you getting those figures and that information? I think you are talking just to hear yourself talk ! Most of the time you make no sense to me what so ever ! I think you are brain dead !

        • Tony

The radicals showed no mercy on 9-11 and in my opinion no mercy should be shown in return. My oldest son gave his life to defend us against those bastards and I say the hell with the rules of engagement. The so-called moderate muslems will not stand up against the radicals so let them fall with their radical rulers. They want only to rule the world with their primative religion and I say that political correctness is only empowering them to do so. I totally agree with you freedom fighter and if I were allowed the privilage, I would gladly push the buttons to wipe their scurge from the face of our planet.

          • RickB`

Tony, I am sorry for your loss, and thankful for your son’s service. These terrorists (and those who support them) need to be exterminated like mad dogs. . . .

          • libertytrain

Tony, I too am sorry. Having just gotten through the ordeal of my daughter and son-in-law in Afghanistan for the last year, I can almost understand the incredible pain you have endured. My best to you.

          • Granny Mae

            Tony,

I am so sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine what you must be going through. All this turmoil sure doesn’t help. I pray that the Lord will ease your burden and give you his peace !

          • http://?? Joe H.

            Tony,
May God Bless you and your son!!!! That type of sacrifice will never be forgotten as long as there are veterans in this country!! Those that served with him will never forget him!!

        • JIM

totally agree——we should have done that in viet-nam—-instead of leaving our pow’s to rot in their prisons

        • Right wing nutjob

Not necessary. Every time they attack: Destroy one mosque. Desecrate (pork) and salt the ground.

          • Granny Mae

            Right wing nutjob,

You know what you may have the answer. If every time they attacked us in any way we took out one of their mosque’s They might get the point. If you can’t find some way to hurt them where it means something to them then they will never stop ! It has to cost them as much as it cost us or they have no incentive to stop. Killing them doesn’t hurt them because they even bring their children into the world just to sacrifice them in the name of their god ! What might be the answer is their churches. That is where they live ! Good thought right wing.

          • Christin

            Rightwing nutjob,

I kind of like that idea, too. If, I should say WHEN (it is inevitable… right) any muslim attacks, bombs, blows up people or places, one mosque should be taken out (without people inside) in the country the attack was committed in… not bad Right Wing.

We should have started that A LONG TIME AGO and we would be down hundreds of mosques of false worship by now.

Airline Pilot Michael Roberts is a Patriot. Thank you sir.

He stood up for FREEDOM as we ALL should have done when the Progressive Communists decided to infringe on our RIGHTS when flying.

The Islamics need to be profiled as safe or unsafe like Isreal does by checking for one way tickets, cash only, no luggage, single male traveling alone, man between 20 -30 years of age, mostly from Middle East or Africa, and personally questioning them. No brainer.

Quit forcing Americans to get radiation through screening, have nude pictures, waiting and taking off shoes, and groping people for bomb searches… esp. four year olds and grandmas!

            Anybody agree???

            FOR FREEDOM

          • Average Joe Patriot

            Hold it. Consider, people.

What usually happens when you attack a religion is, they grow stronger. Ask the Romans. Ask the Soviets and Chinese Communists. For the same reason that our founders advised against “foreign entanglements,” they went to specifically great lengths to avoid religious entanglements:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.”

Why? Because they well knew organized religion is a tar baby. Large numbers of our new citizens came from stock who left Europe because their governments insisted on trying to smack the tar baby around. (And for better or worse, most of these governments at some point later wound up getting their asses kicked by…guess who? A nation comprised of Protestants, Catholics, Jews, Native American earth worshippers, agnostics and atheists and God knows what all.)

We already have laws against terrorism. We had them long before the treasonously misnamed Patriot Act. What makes blowing stuff up any less legal if you are a terrorist of some particular religious persuasion? If anyone wants to run around with dynamite strapped to his chest, you go for the head shot. You don’t burn down his place of worship. To do so would absolutely guarantee more idiots running into pizzarias and subway cars strapped with bombs. Attacking mosques or burning black churches, gassing Jews or feeding Christians to the lions, outlawing Buddhists or cracking down on voodoo, none of these ever worked.

The way you deal with terrorism is the same way you deal with any potentially deadly crime. You go for the head shot whenever some radical zealot sticks his twisted head up. And if that doesn’t work sufficiently well, you practice till you’re better at it. (Bringing our troops back to their native soil and putting them on the borders where they belong, and shutting off funds to Israel…these prbably wouldn’t hurt, either. While we’re at it, let’s arm every capable US citizen who wants to carry a gun; we’d see about as much terrorist extremism as we hear about in Switzerland.)

One can talk all one wants about poor beleageured Israel surrounded by bloodthirsty enemies, but consider: Zionist Israel herself surrounds a tiny nation of Muslims and you know what? For all their ruthless actions against these trapped people, they’ve yet to change the religion of a single one of them.

          • Christin

            Average Joe,
You are right about not doing away with a mosque in lou of a terrorist attack, but you are wrong about cutting off Isreal and dumping our support for them because they did not influence the religion of the muslims around them.

All I know is God has said for us to protect Isreal, and if we don’t he will take his hand of protection off of us. After the Rapture 144,000 Jews get saved.

          • Average Joe Patriot

            Christin,

144,000 Jews? Does that number include lawyers and Rahm Emmanuel? (Doesn’t leave a lot of openings for the good guys I’ve known.) How about the dozer driver who ran over Rachel Corrie? Or the ones who think killing every peaceful Canaanite and their livestock and pets was per the express instructions of Yahweh? How many of us would kill their child if God spoke in their head and told them to? Had I been there I’d have suggested Abraham get his meds checked, no detours, no delay.

The point is, the belief systems of religion (for good or ill, and there have been plenty of both) have no rightful place in government. Any attempt at governance is potentially irrational enough without mixing in religion. Having seen what religious dogma did to Europe for hundreds of years, our founders knew this. Which is why they specifically said what they said.

Support of Zionist Israel is entanglement in affairs both foreign, and religious. (Also financial, if one considers who actually runs our privately-controlled banking system.)

We couldn’t ask for a more perfect storm, nor a more dangerously entangling threat to the Republic, than we embrace by supporting such an artificial nation-construct as Zionist Israel.

          • Christin

            Average Joe Patriot,

I believe what God says in the Bible. I believe in the Trinity: God the Father (CREATOR of the Heavens and Earth), God the Son, Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit. Because I believe in God and I trust in Jesus (No one gets to the Father except through the Son.) and know that my name is written in the Book of Life in Heaven… when I die or get raptured my soul is Heaven bound… thank God!, because the alternative is Hell with satan.

“And I heard the sealed, a hundred and forty-four thousand sealed out of every tribe of the sons of Isreal,…” Revelation 7:4 Holy Bible

(Also references Blood Jews salvation Rev 14:1 and Rev 14:3-5. Blood Jews are different than those that converted over to Judism, like g. soros and those others you may have mentioned)

That said, I would like to remind you that the founding of America started with a Judeo-Christian values which you can find written in the Constitution, The Bill of Rights, and Federalist Papers and plastered all over the White House and Court Houses (Ten Commandments)…

Please watch ” A church we didn’t know about”… U.S. Capitol Tour with David Barton at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlfEdJNn15E

I’m sorry Joe, but to take GOD out of all sectors of American life, including government, and its citizens lives will lead to… well… what we are headed for now… Godless Marxist loss of Freedoms and wealth. How’s that working out for you?

If you are a TRUE American PATRIOT you would see that WE NEED GOD back in our schools and Country. This original FREE gov “By the People, For the People, and Of the People” that the Founding Father’s set up for us that acknowledges that “we are endowed by OUR CREATOR with certain unalienable Rights” … is the ONLY gov that has given it’s people the MOST FREEDOM and has been tried and succeeded… until the Progressives and Lost (unbelieving) people tried to undo what Godly men set in motion for us.

Those that stand with The Constitution and the Freedoms/ Liberties/ Rights therein and acknowledge God as Creator are on God’s side…

Those that stand with the Godless Progressives (Communist, Marxist, Socialism, Facism, Dictatorships…) who are throwing God, “by our Creator”, the Ten Commandments, and our Constitution out of our lives and eliminating/depopulating/slow killing our people as well as dedeveloping (over regulating and sending jobs/industry/companies out of our country) our wonderful country are for satan.

            Time to choose, my friend.

“because, if you confess with your lips that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

I stand on the side of TRUTH and LOVE… I stand with God.

            Christin,

Baby girl You said it all ! I am with you 100 percent ! Now and forever.

        • Dogma-Free

hahaha…I’ll tell you what I propose, FreedomFighter. Why don’t we send you, Bob Livingston, and Benny Crystal, over to Afghanistan to find Bin Laden, and kill him…since you’re so-called hero, George Dubya Bush, wasn’t capable of accomplishing that mission (or maybe just didn’t want to see his old family friend, Osama BL get offed).

See, this way, instead of just spouting off your usual tough-talk ad nauseam…you could now actually put your money where your mouth is (and has been for probably too long), and actually make good on the promise your Republican presidunce, Baby Bush, never intended to keep in the first place.

We’ll give you an M-16 each, and some ammo, and you can go nuts! Kill as many Muslims as your black hearts desire (or until you run out of ammo), but then…don’t be surprised if they start to shoot back. But that’s okay…I’m sure you wouldn’t mind being killed for your country, since I’m sure you guys are real patriotic like, right?

          Yup…I thought as much.

        • David R. (Canada)

I believe the Islamic terrorists are just a ditraction from the real, silent invasion.
The “moderate, peacable” moslems are the real danger. working behind the scenes, infiltrating school boards etc.

Calgary, Alberta, Canada just elected a moslem mayor. Wait and see what happens now! Shariah courts? Moslems have their own separate school but now have indirect control of the public school system.

          • JC

David, my wife is from Calgary and she (and I) would agree with you.
My understanding is that Canada in general is going the way of the UK,
which is not doing very well culturally due to the propogation of a bureacracy that is heavy with folks from other countries, Non British but in charge of education, gun laws, welfare, health care…etc. etc.
I don’t think it’s possible for any country to maintain its sovereignty or identity under such circumstances. Multi-Culturalism has done more to divide people than it ever did to bring them together. Just like the ACLU and the professional race baiters are doing in the US.

          • JC

PS, last time I flew into Canada (Totonto), every single security person I saw (about 40 of them) was of Pakistani descent, some of them could speak no English at all And aren’t they a Muslim country that sponsors radicals? So much for feeling “secure” anyway…

          • JC

Yes I can spell Toronto. ;)

          • Kate8

JC Doing away with national sovereignty was the main purpose behind multiculturism. It was intended to divide, neutralize the national culture and its traditions, and put an end to ‘nationalism’.

Today, it is derogatory to call an American ‘nationalistic’.

This is a necessary step to world government.

          • JC

That’s exactly right Kate, and that’s what is going on all around us right now. Mostly on the southern border.

          • JC

Well, boys and girls, today the fox is guarding the hen house. The wolves will be herding the sheep! It’s completely out of control now…

Obama appointed two devout Muslims to homeland security posts.

Obama and Janet Napolitano appointed Arif Alikhan, a devout Muslim, as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development. DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano swore-in Kareem Shora, a devout Muslim, who was born in Damascus, Syria, as ADC National Executive Director as a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC).

NOTE: Has anyone ever heard a new government official being identified as a devout Catholic, a devout Jew or a devout Protestant…?
            Just wondering.

Devout Muslims being appointed to critical Homeland Security positions? Doesn’t this make you feel safer already?? That should make our home land much safer, huh!?

Was it not “Devout Muslim men” that flew planes into U.S. buildings 8 1/2 years ago? Was it not a Devout Muslim who killed 13 at Fort Hood ?
Please forward this important information to any who cares about the future of our Country.

          • Karolyn

JC – There is a difference between “devout” and “radical.” The radicals are not following the precepts of the Korahn. These appointees are American citizens who,I am sure, have been properly vetted. As far as multiculturalism. Isn’t that the way this country has always been? Actually, as I’m writing this, I’m thinking “hmm could that be why this country is so screwed up?” Most countries that have a more or less strictly native population do not have the problems we have. However,it’s too late now to change the situation.

          • libertytrain

JC: re your question: “NOTE: Has anyone ever heard a new government official being identified as a devout Catholic, a devout Jew or a devout Protestant…?
            Just wondering”

I believe that would be politically incorrect, violated separation of church/state, extremely racist and several other leftist reasons

          • JC

Karolyn, first of all we do not need any such agency as “Homeland Security” it plays the role of domestic monitor more so that it does anything else.
Also we do not need people who are “devout” to a religion that advocates our demise.
And it is most certainly NOT too late to change anything.
Thank God the men and women who founded this country had more back bone than that!

          • JC

            Libertytrain, that is exactly right.
These new security czars are “devout Muslims” and that is being shoved down our throats. I guess we’re supposed to just “like it”.

          • Kate8

Karolyn, As I have before mentioned, prior to the LBJ administration, only immigrants from culturally compatible countries were allowed to come to America.

Those wanting to come also needed an American sponsor, went through a screening process, had to have some means of support (we didn’t provide them with living expenses back then), and was expected to assimilate.

The reason for opening immigration from the third world was cultural division and economic collapse.

It is true that the destruction of America was planned for at least a century. There is ample documentation to prove this. And it was done through takeover of the democrat party.

Can’t remember which communist said this decades ago (maybe someone will), to the effect that it won’t be necessary for communism to attack us. They will conquer us through the democrat party.

          • Karolyn

Who used the term “devout” with these people anyway? It still doesn’t mean they’re terrorists. Adherence to the Koran does not mean “go out and kill infidels.” At least I haven’t found it. It has requirements just like the Bible and actually recognizes a lot that is in the Bible. What is highlighted a lot in the Koran is for followers to be charitable.

        • Rich Thorn

I have not heard anyone that said what you said any better and that is I think the number one reason we have lost so many wonderful men and women in the recent wars. If our government would tell our soldiers do it like they did in WW2 I think some of these cowardly islamist idiots who are so brave they have to cover their face with the diaper they just took off I do not think we would have the losses we have had. Keep telling it like you see it you are doing a great job. SEMPER FI JOE

      • Carole Howell

There are trains, cars and buses. I too, think the crap is over the top.

    • Bob Parsons

Only one problem there Dan. The Obama administration has already placed several Muslims in the Department of Homeland Security, so any attempt to change the politically correct process of letting Muslims go by unscanned while scanning airline pilots, 85 year old ladies in wheelchairs, etc. will be declined. If people would do as you suggest, it would work, but they won’t. American business, which could be handled via computer networking, requires that employees fly to give a personal touch to business meetings. They won’t stop that to stop a stupid security idea. What we need to do about security is what Israel does: screen people before they enter the airline terminal. Israel has not had a single aircraft hijacking or threat – ever. Our political correctness will be our downfall, along with the “don’t work but pay me anyway” mentality now going on. Those receiving the welfare money who could work but won’t don’t realize they are being made slaves to the government. This is no coincidence.

O K here is my two cents from the great city of Shanghai China.I am here three weeks already not as a tourist but as an ” Egg ” white outside and yellow inside. My wife is Chinese and we spent much of our time in her “house”.
China is an old civilization and a very old family oriented culture. When ever they had a Emperor Dynasty the Emperor always prayed to God and cared for his people.
Since Chairman Mao died things have changed big time. The Party is still in Power but they figured out that communism don’t work and they are more capitalist now than we are.
Everybody has to work or be supported by family or friends.NO WELFARE.
Single family houses don’t exist they are building ( private Builders )six to nine family apartment building complexes, what they call their house. You buy a house all cash or large down payment with a 15 year mortgage. There is no Fannie Mae or Freddy Mac over here, and NO REAL ESTATE OR SCHOOL TAXES.After you pay your mortgage it is all yours. They don’t let muslims in this country no ACLU they do check people at airports and your bags at subway. And I don’t believe muslims would ever try something stupid like 9/11/2001. China wouldn’t play games with them and they know it.

        • Shibamom

That’s how we SHOULD be here!

        • Freeworld

How true! Again, the truth will always outshine deceit! Political correctness is deceit perpetrated on patriots to disguise the real purpose of the Bilderberg group. A group of elitist in a society where most of the people are slaves to their wants and desires. Multiculturalism is just another tool to divide and conquer! China has strong national unity which we no longer have. We must come together as Americans only or we will cease to exist as a nation. May Gos keep and Bless the United States of America!

          • Shibamom

Freeworld…you are, sadly, so correct. I am 52 years old and the only times in my life that I seen anything remotely resembling National unity was shortly after the first Gulf war and after 9/11. Even then I thought to myself…”all this patriotism will soon disappear” And you know what??? It did!!! I wish with all of my heart that Americans wake up and understand what has been and is going on. Someone big is trying to take us down as a nation. They hate our way of life and they have been working ever so slowly on taking it all away from us. I think the thing that scares me the most is that we can no longer hold conversation on current events because should you disagree with someone, you are then accused of being a racist, bigot, extremist, etc. What the hell happened to freedom of speech for us normal, everyday Americans? You know, the ones that foot the bill for all the illegals and lazy people. We’re the ones being made to look like crazy, gun-toting, conservative extremists. And all we want is our America back. I saw a small portion of an interview with Bill Mahr and he was asked: (paraphrasing) “Do you think that all anger and resentment towards the President is because he is black?” And…do you know what this A-hole said? He said: “Of course it is. That’s why they keep saying we want our America back”. Well, let me tell you…I WILL NEVER watch anything with this jerk in it ever again. It’s guys like him that keep our dialog buried and misunderstood.

          • eddie47d

China is a poor example when it comes to Freedom. They have forced National Unity where you either comply or die. That is extremism not freedom.

          • DaveH

National Unity? Please, the Communists had national unity. We were established to be a country with Individual Liberty, so people could make their own choices with their own property and their own body, without the intrusion of Big Government busybodies into their private business.
What is National Unity anyway? Doing everything the way one particular group of leaders says we should do it? Who has the right answers for each individual? Nobody. One size does not fit all, and never will. Each person has his/her own preferences for a happy life.
If you really want peace and tranquility, the best way we can achieve that is to downsize Big Government greatly, and let people get back to making their own choices with their own bodies and property (that includes money). If you think people need help, then establish private companies to offer them that assistance. If they don’t want to pay for it out of their own pockets, they obviously don’t think the assistance is that important.

          • eddie47d

You’re G.Will article makes a good point and he could be right from his perspective. Yet he didn’t tell us what charity means to him. Now religious giving is a charitable donation and I will assume conservatives give more to their church. But do those churches take that money and give it to the poor, homeless shelters or food pantries? Do these churches just go and build bigger churches to impress themselves or do they really help Other People with that tax deduction. Giving to politicians use to be a tax deduction and many still consider that as charitable giving. Since Conservatives usually out spend the other side in elections maybe that is where George gets his higher figures. You’d really have to delve into church records or peoples personal lives to find that out so we may never know.

          • DaveH

            Eddie,
I think you’re talking about Republicans outspending Democrats. Very few Republicans are Conservative, mostly Right-Wingers. The Democrats have a huge advantage over the Republicans, because they offer to give the voters freebies. In other words, they are buying votes. What do true Conservatives offer? The right to earn a decent living and keep your own hard-earned money if you are willing to sacrifice and work hard. Obviously, the latter is less attractive to those who aren’t educated and don’t realize that we all eventually pay the price for Liberal politics (except the leaders and their crony-capitalists).

          • TIME

            Dave,

I am sure you know this but for everyone else, Saddly with this election being the last open door before the train leaves for good.

If per chance we can not stop this DC Marxist Gang, this will be the last election the United States of America will have where you may be able to stop and even back down many of the last 50 years of destruction.
If we don’t the word “FREEDOM” will become little more than a moment in world history.

We really are well into the gates of hell right now, and we have this last moment before the gates are closed and locked, the doors are closed and locked then the real HELL will begin.

It will be slow perhaps as long as ten years to finish the picture to reshape this once great land into a complete Neo Marxist state.

A few things to watch for if we don’t break this Neo Marxist gang up, this winter heating oil will double in cost, (ours last year during the winter was $1700.00 per month 2009.) That was up from $1000.00 per month 2008. By the winter of 2011 that will seem like a real deal if you can ever get it.

Car gas will be going up as well don’t be shocked to see $5.00 per gallon and by next summer, 2011 or even as high as $8.00 per gallon, and by the winter of 2011 if the Cap & Trade pass’s – and it will if the Dems hold the houses, gas will be an easy $15.00 per gallon.

Taxs will go up on everything to around 35% higher than now, your home taxs will go up an easy 25 – 40%.

And figure by 2012 the elections will just fail to be, as we will be in a state of all out war, of what will be coming by summer 2011 we will be at war all over the globe.

Food shortages will be common place, food prices will more than double, why, gas prices will double, thats a trickel down effect, YOU pay more.

Jobless numbers will double in less than six months, and then double again in twelve months.

So all in all this is it folks, we are at the point of no return, the complete loss of your freedom’s the Bill of rights and the Constitution will be nothing more than Hemp Paper with whale ink on them.

          • http://none Mike

Yea Eddie! I find myself agreeing 100% with you on certin churches useing donatione to aggrandize themselves. Jesus fought just this type of church when he kicked out all the money changers. Research what your church does with tieths and you might be really supprised. I used to belong to one of thoes Mega-Churches where it was a new donation scheem every week. I say Revoke the tax exempt status of some of the giant church corperations where the pastor makes over 1million a year. Why because they ceased to be a church and became a buisness that records a profit. Its a little off topic but near and dear to my heart after 20 years I finally found a man of god who teaches and not preaches from the pulpit. Mike

          • eddie47d

Time; You must have a heck of a big house. My heating and electric bill was $75 last month and usually $180-270 in the winter. (4200 sq ft)

          • DaveH

Better yet, Mike, there should be no taxes on Associations of any kind. Only the individual should be taxed. After all, the Associations (Churches, Companies, and any others)are just groups of individual people. Taxes are always paid by the individuals ultimately anyway. Corporations just raise their prices, or lay off workers; churches would just raise their tithes, or go out of business. Taxes on anything other than individuals are just smoke and mirrors which allow Government to raise more revenues the hidden way. If Government is running valuable services, they don’t need to be sneaky and play one group off the other to get their revenues. They can just be upfront and say what they mean.

          • http://none Mike

True Dave But if they are still going to tax us at all there are some who need to pay their share that are exempt now. Hiding behind religion as a busines is just leagle tax evasion. Big supporter of H.R. 25 here and doing away with the IRS period :)

Israel has had hijackings. Maybe you don’t remember the raid on Entebbe to get their people back? For a refresher here’s a link…

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Entebbe

But, they have not had any hijackings or bombed airliners since implementing their new security system, which includes profiling. And they are surrounded by millions of people who want to kill them all in the worst way……

This country has lost it’s will to do things that might upset somebody. Until we have a real leader who’s not afraid to make a statement by speaking softly and carrying / using a big stick, we will be wasting time and money dealing with the issue. Unfortunately we have a leader who is more concerned about what other Muslim countries think than his own population.

          • Joyce from Loris

I disagree. The total number of politicians that hold power is 545 or about. There are 320 million citizens. How do WE THE PEOPLE allow those few numbers to go against everything that we believe in and WE THE PEOPLE do nothing about it?? Hey, we are responsible ourselves for allowing this to happen. I beg you all to read about the woman in Michigan who is being taken to the cleaners over advertising for a “Christian room mate”. The state says it is against the Civil Rights Act. Amazing that we now have allowed our government to tell us WHO we can invite into our homes as a room mate, forcing us to be TOLD BY THEM who can and can not live with us. We let all this crap happen, and we will now pay for it.

          • Christin

            Joyce,
“545 people in power” in America sounds good against 330 million of us, Americans,(I got that e-mail, too), but it only mentions the Legislative Branch of our Government. You have to add in all the rest.

What about the Executive Branch: Marxist President, his Progressive cabinet, and Radical czars. (They are influencing and forcing laws.)

What about the Judical Branch: Radical activist Judges, Liberal Supreme Court Justices (they are making law… (legislating from the bench) and I might add greedy Lawyers into this bunch who actually force law with their arguments in court.

What about the (MSM) Media who slants everything towards the LEFT and gives American people the wrong info biased towards Progressives. We should include hollywood types in this bunch as they have or are on talk shows and make movies biased against: capitalism, being successful, industry, freedoms…

And what about Public and Higher Education which is run by Democrats and Unions. They are teaching our children, youth, and college students WRONG Anti-American history, to hate Free-Market Capitalism, teaching Gay agenda, celebrate Ramadan and kwanza, but can’t say Christiams Break or sing Christmas songs with Jesus in them, and colleges who teach “case law” instead of Constitutional Law and the medical profession who learns to aline themselves with Big Pharma and not natural remedies and plants God gave us to heal…

And lastly, of course, there are countless groups who are influencing our lives and country for the worst: FDA, ACLU, AFL-CIO, ACORN, SEIU and other big spending forced UNIONS, SDS, Communist Party USA and state factions, One Nation, Working Families Party, Organizing for America, Green for All (Van Jones), Sojourners, NCLR (La Raza), Color of Change, NOW, Code Pink, Weather Underground, STORM, Plannned Parenthood, Progressive Democrats of America, Democratic Socialists for America, Peace and Freedom Party, International Answer, Workers Workd Party, Anti-Colonialist, Campaign for America’s Future, Campaign for Campus Progress, Grey Panthers, Courage Campaign (Moveon, org), ya-ya Network, Solidarity, National Jobs for All Coalition, Humanist Party, Student Action Labor Project (SLAP), Campus Camp Wellstone, Wishadoo, International Socialist Organization… (There no doubt are more, but you get the idea.)

            LOTS OF Anti-Freedom, Anti-Constitution, Anti-American, Anti-Captialism, Anti-Christian puke here.

Frankly, the cards are stacked against us… it appears to be more than 545 people to me.

            What say you?

            Christin, Excellent post.

There may be more of us, but they are the ones calling the shots, pulling the strings.

It’s amazing that so many of us aren’t buying what they’re selling, and are able to see through the mass mind control. I wonder at what point we hit critical mass.

Ireland held out from joining the EU for years, so the EU (and Soros) destroyed their economy and starved them into submission. That is what they are doing to America, too.

          • Christin

            Thanks Kate8,
But.. I guess I forgot to mention some of the most evil of the players in the Ruling Elite and Shadow Government, groups like: Apollo Alliance (who wrote the Demo Slush Fund Bill…I mean Stimulus), TIDES Foundation, Center for American Progress, Media Matters and… george soros, bilderbergs, illuminati, free masons and the fabian society… ALL influencing law, economics, and politics in America and some world wide.

Dan Az – my daughter, an Army Major, currently on leave after a year in Afghanistan, just related a story of their last flight a week or so ago, where her airline, Frontier, flagged her when she bought her tickets for her, her husband – Lt. Colonel and two toddlers) – she was the one that had to be checked over thoroughly, coming and going – despite crying toddlers – and the security folks kept saying – “We don’t understand why Frontier Airline flagged you” – neither do I. Neither did she.

    • Kate8

Dan, Another big part of this is compliance. They are slowly but surely dehumanizing us, conditioning us to comply with anything and everything they demand of us. They want us to be slaves, submitting silently to all manner of poking, prodding, vaccinating, branding, relinquishing…

This is their dream of the future: total control.

BTW, the flu vaccine is rearing up again. I just read where a school in Oregon is issuing a green star to kids who get their flu shots. Those without stars will be sent home. Kids are vulnerable to this type of humiliation, and many will comply.

It’s all like ‘voluntary taxation’. They are making deals we just can’t refuse to force ‘voluntary’ compliance.

Wait until we can’t get food for our kids without getting chipped.

      • Dan Az

        Hey Kate8
that is really depressing. This crap has got to stop this politically correct crap is going to be the death of us all.

      • Christin

        I agree, Vicki.

        Here’s why the liberal/progressives can’t profile.

Watch “How a Progressive Thinks” at:

        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eaE98w1KZ-c

The guy talking explains clearly why Liberals/Progressives can not differentiate or literally discriminate between right and wrong, good and evil, better and worse, and behaviors that lead to success and failure…

Please watch all… it is an eye opener and you will understand the liberal mindset.

            Dan AZ,
Yes, the presentation in the video does explain not only the liberal posters on this site, but also in the media and people through out America.

It shows why they are childish and unable to comprehend and live in reality. It is really strange… I think, maybe even demonic as they are not living in TRUTH.

    • Gordon in Texas

I totally agree! TSA is a joke and has done nothing to make air travel safer for Americans; just another job-making, government-sponsored organization to increase the government’s footprint on our lives. But air travel is only one area where the government has taken an incident and used it to their advantage. 9-11 is the big bang that started it all. And this started way before obama came into town. Greed and power are bipartisan.

The real problem…. Step outside of your comfort zone and take a good look at what’s happening in many of our cities. When Tennessee is having problems with the Muslim population you KNOW the US has an issue that must be corrected.

Are all Muslims radical suicide bombers? No. Do all Muslims sign up to this way of thinking? Probably not. What can be done that will put Muslims in a better light with the American public? Put the weight of radical Islam on the shoulders of those “moderate” (yeah, right) Muslims who sit in their homes, smug in the thought that they are untouchable. Want me to believe that Islam is a peaceful religion? Prove it. Clean up your own back yard and prove to me that Islam is all about everyone living in peace together. Can’t do it? Won’t do it? Didn’t think so. All Islam is radically based; it’s only a small percentage that actually acts out the wishes of many.

Unfortunately, I don’t think that an airline pilot here or there fighting the “system” will make a difference in this time of government intrusion into our lives. It will take much more than that. Face it: Americans tend to be unknowledgeable and lazy in government affairs. Only lately have many stepped up to call for a change in “the way we are governed.” The last five words in that last sentence should send chills up anyone’s spine.

  • s c

I agree with the pilot. If he’s a member of a union, he’s definitely head-and-shoulders above most people in any labor union. It would be interesting to see what happens if various airlines can’t get enough pilots to get planes into the air.
I wouldn’t call it divide and conquer. I’d call it a prime example of social justice aimed at a corrupt and immoral government. At the same time, it would be a good idea for pilots who fly certain members of Congress around America and the world to tell those self-centered horse’s asses to take a bus or a ship. It has a lot of potential to hit Uncle Scam where it hurts. We’ll see what happens.

    • Bruce

Agree that most of what they do at the airports don’t add a lot to the security. Getting the pilots to protest might be the only way to make a dent in this kind of nonsense, and get rid of all those useless government employees at the airports.

      • independant thinker

If they manage to change anything it will most likely be an exemption for piolets with everyone else still having to put up with their BULL SH!T.

    • Vicki

It is kind of pointless to thoroughly search the pilot. What is he going to do? Hijack himself? Maybe they search the pilots to make sure they can’t defend themselves effectively against REAL hijackers.

  • DaveH

I don’t fly anymore. If we don’t draw a line in the sand now, don’t fool yourself. They will find other reasons and places to scan us. Soon we won’t be able to go into a public building without a full scan. It is the nature of power to always grow. Only a fully awakened citizenry can stop them.

    • TIME

      Dave,
In New York or LA or any big city when you go into a high rise, you have to pass a security check, also there has to be record of your appointment with said security people from your contact persons in the building.
I am not saying that such was not around prior to September 2001 I am saying its now 100 X’s more of a pain in the ass.
The people at the building where our lawyer is in New York the Security guards know us and yet we are scanned and held in the lobby and reviewed for no less than 20 minutes each time we go.

It went passed crazy years ago, the funny part and its really not funnt at all is that the pilot this blog is about is 100% on target.

      • DaveH

And they wonder why our country is collapsing.

        • http://?? Joe H.

  • k1oik

I don’t fly any more. If my business associates ask me why, I tell them. If my relatives ask me why, I tell them.

Airline flight is for my convenience, not for someone else’s. If it is no longer the best way to solve my problem, then I stop using it.

This is true for airline flight, just like it used to be for horse and buggy travel, for labor unions, and for Federal Government.

“Supply and demand” is one of the laws that cannot be repealed, or judiciated, or amended. It’s one of those ‘rights retained’ that the 10th amendment talks about.

    • DaveH

Some on this blog have argued that the non-discretionary fliers aren’t a big enough percentage of the flying population to make a difference. Funny, though, that I have been getting more and more solicitations from Southwest (with whom I have logged well over 200 flights) trying to entice me back to flying. Why would they bother if their passenger counts weren’t suffering?

      • DaveH

Sorry, “Non-discretionary” should have been “discretionary”.

        • Granny Mae

There is another thing that I haven’t heard much about that I think should be considered especially for people that fly often and that is the radiation going through all these screening things. Especially if they are putting young children and babies through them and if pilots and attendants have to go through them everyday and several times a day. That is a lot of radiation and how often are these things tested for the amount of rads given off? If a person is going to a dentist and gets x-rays and then has a problem with their stomach and their doctor has them get a scan then they decide to go home for the holidays how much radiation is too much? I think the first time they are radiated is too much and how many of those people operating those things is really qualified in radiation ? Not enough for me. Everyone thinks they are only getting a small amout of radiation but it all adds up and then there is the exposure you don’t think about and that is the exposure you get once you are in the air. On a sunny day you get a lot of exposure right through the plane ! I think all this radiation exposure is crazy ! I will stay home thank you !

      • Dan Az

        DaveH
hey I just heard today that south west thought that 30% failure on parts where ok! I dont fly anymore either.

        • DaveH

Dan, if crashes due to failure were all we had to worry about, then we would be in great shape. Even with the purposeful terrorist crashes, Passenger Airliners are much safer per mile traveled than automobiles are.
As far as maintenance goes, the airlines have much more to lose when the public quits flying with them then when Government sticks their nosy noses into the airlines business. Witness the ValuJet event in Florida. What? Who are they? That’s right they don’t exist any more due to customer perceived negligence on the part of the flying public.

  • john

It’s been quite a while since I’ve flown and unfortunately I have to take to the skies soon and am not looking forward to it.What a joke this security proceedure has become..why don’t they put this type of security effort on our borders? Why can’t the govt be charged with making pornographic images as well as kiddie porn..this scanning is highly invasive and illegal..why must everyone be submitted to this..if anything..they should only pull someoen aside and use it if they highly suspect the person of something.Meanwhile terrorists come across our borders and drugs slip in under their noses..this is a blatant attack on our rights as citizens and needs to be stopped.

    • fedupinnc

John I too have to fly soon and it’s been a LONG time since I’ve done so but for business I guess I have to do what I have to do, although I am not looking forward to it ONE BIT! I agree with you why are WE inconvenienced instead of the other way around?!? Because they won’t do anything with the borders we (the American people) have to be on guard, on alert and inconvenienced?! It’s ridiculous…

    • DaveH

Your are exactly right, John. It is just another excuse by the power-hungry leaders to take away our rights.

  • http://PersonalLibertyDigest Jean fowler

I agree with this guy. We have went too far.

    • Bob L

“Gone” too far, “went” reminds one of the line from an old Pogo Possum cartoon, “We have met the enemy and he is us.” What can anyone expect from a leaderless nation that penalizes and profiles its’ own legal citizens while it allows illegal trespassers access and free tickets to what’s left of the sadly shredded American dream, utterly ignore all radical elements of islam and exempt form any censure groups like ACORN from rigging elections? And possibly the worst, trying its’ criminal best to force political correctness upon its’ fighting forces.

  • Jim Watson

It’s about time someone took a stand.

I don’t think the sky is any safer with these aggressive search techniques.

    • DaveH

I agree, Jim. Amazing, isn’t it, how many people will give up their freedom for the illusion of safety?

      • Vicki

        And they deserve neither.

        • Karolyn

Vicki – I picture you waying that as the wicked witch of the west wringing her hands with glee. Why would anyone be less deserving of something than you? What makes you so special? Oh, I forgot, you’re a conservative! Silly me.

          • Bob L

Karolyn, you may not agree and the right to disagree is a very righteous and important part of the nations’ amendments. Just for the heck of it, observe what DaveH quoted, Those who would sacrifice freedom for security, deserve neither, and that was a well considered observation by Benjamin Franklin, another real troublemaker. ipso facto….

          • Karolyn

Bob, I still feel pretty free. No one is preventing me from doing anything I want to do. Just don’t tell anybody that I don’t wear a seatbelt (shhhh). I get where you guys are coming from. I don’t fly anyway. Also, those “nude” xrays are so ambiguous you can’t tell who it is. Who cares about that? I do believe that Israel has been using these methods for a long time, haven’t they? They are considered to be the ones to go to as far as security goes.

          • DaveH

            Karolyn,
All Vicki, and most of us, wants is to be able to make her own choices about what risks to take with her own body and property. The Democrats have long considered themselves to be the party of choice. But those choices only include the ones they approve of. Some choice.
Those who try to deny us those choices are the wicked ones.

          • Average Joe Patriot

Hey, Karolyn. As far as security goes, the World Trade Center went to Israel. In fact, maybe we should all go there. To really feel, you know, safe.

As far as freedom goes, to illustrate, I have a wolf dog. Wolf dogs are great companions, in that they possess a combination of interesting attributes not found in the usual domestic dog (they’re less in your face with slobbery affection, but since they bond to the pack, they normally won’t tear your face off if they feel slighted).

Now, here’s the thing. Unlike every normal dog I’ve ever owned, my wolf dog knows that she is not actually free. She knows that there are things she’d like to do, and that I am the reason she is not doing them. A dog you can easily fool, and they remain fooled. You can train them with kibble in your hand, when they are sitting right next to a bowl full of the stuff, and you can even fake them out with an empty hand. A wolf dog, huh unh. She will just look at you and if you’re really attuned, you can see her mind working through the proposition in three steps: 1) Is there really something being proferred and what precisely is it, 2)Do I want that item (kibble usually wont cut it, bison jerky might), 3) Am I willing to do what is being asked of me for that item. Much less Pavlovian than Fido.

The point is, most dogs, like goldfish and pastured sheep, can’t really envision an alternative. They think they are free because they’ve been conditioned not to want anything you don’t provide. Wolves can and do imagine alternatives, and if they put up with a life restricting them to your pack rules, it’s because they consciously choose to do so.

But they won’t be toyed with, they have long memories, and they make conscious decisions in present time. They may accept the security of the pack, but they are ever ready to challenge restrictions to their freedom. Their motto seems to be: Trust (within reason), but verify. They approach life with a constant Code Yellow-to-Orange mentality, ready to escalate should the situation so indicate.

I suggest you and people who think as you do, do the same.

          • Karolyn

Dan – I just watched half of it and agree to a certain extent. I must not be a liberal, as I have said before. I do not put a label on myself. I believe what I believe and I think what I want to think. I am not so easily swayed; however, I have always listened to both sides. When confronted with pure ignorance is when my dander goes up. If what I KNOW to be so is mocked and ridiculed by someone who KNOWS their position to be right, I tend to get a little pissed. I try to be informed. I am presently reading the Koran and so far have found no evidence of Muslims being told to kill the infidels. Yes, they are told that theirs is the rightful religion, but aren’t Christians told the same thing?

          • Christin

            Dan & Liberty Train,

And I hope and think Liberal “Juan Williams” from FOX has seen the “Light” and learned just what the Left/ Liberal mindset is all about, too, as he was demonized and fired by NPR’s Liberal PC attitude… for saying what most Americans have been thinking… Bring the Muslim/Islamic/terrorist dicussion to the forefront and talk about it, now before it is too late… sharia law!

    • Karolyn

Well, there haven’t been any successful incidents have there? I too think they go too far, but they can’t just let it go back to the way it was either.

      • Al Sieber

What if the anal probe is next? how far do we let them go? are you willing to trade freedom for security?

        • Robert S

When they had armed sky marshalls flying on the planes it was much safer. Probably cheaper too. This is just another way to increase the police state. Just like 911. Anyone who believes a man in a cave came up with that idea isn’t capable of independent thought.

          • DaveH

            Robert,
They could also simply screen, license, and train good citizens to carry on board when they fly. There would be plenty of us who would be willing to do that. Then the security measures could be greatly relaxed.
I believe that most “terrorists” don’t want to die any more than we do. Many of the 911 perps didn’t know that they were on a suicide mission.

      • Bob L

If the “moderate” muslims wish to use airlines, no concealing within burqas shall be allowed and equal security scanning for Everyone, No exceptions.Full facial exposure for all, again, No exceptions.Pat down for their women in a private area by female security agents. And put an abrupt end to polical, demented, fawning over islam, a radical, political doctrine that slyly disguises its’ intent by posing as a religion. No other civilized, sane country in the world has nearly as much of a problem as in this nation, the mainstay of republican democracy. No history books in any school shall be “modified” to portray islam as a benevolent belief. Leave Our Schools Alone or go back to your countries of origin. Americans, if you do Not stand up for your freedoms and rights, you WILL surely lose them. ‘Nuff said.

It seems to me that this country has gone in this directions and uses Home Land Security as an excuse.
Even the Airlines don’t care about the constitution of the United States. Does this country need a revolution, Hell Yes it does. I have not respect for the Federal Government. So Airlines I hope you lose all kinds of business because of this. Furthermore, the stimulus money is going to run out and you will not be abele to sit in front of congress and wine and look for a bail out…. I did security work for a big company for one year as a region manager. This is uncalled for and if you wasn’t so into greed, you would hire people with a good work ethics, pay them well and have some class. Again, no you don’t want to do this because of greed.
I hope all the businesses that use your airlines change effective, immediately…. Have a nice day…

    • Vicki

Airlines are not the Government so they can do all kinds of stuff like pat down searches, limiting what we can say on their planes etc. The problem is that Government is forcing them to do these things and THAT is a violation of the Constitution.

    • Peter

I respect the U.S. government, it is the professional politician that is destroying our Constitution, freedoms and economy.

We all know this to be true, why won’t we admit it and do something about it. Like, “DO Not Re-Elect” any of them.

  • vince

There is no such thing as a “Global War on Terror” just like there is not “War on Drugs”. All the real wars that Americans have fought have been declared actions by Congress and we have prosecuted and won those wars in 4 years or less. Vietnam, notwithstanding. God bless those valient veterans who sacrificed only to have their hands tied by politicians. Which is what is happening today. We CAN secure our borders and ports of entry by using the Constitutionally mandated agents for that purpose: The militia (National Guard) and the Department of Defense. We do NOT need any stinking Department of Homeland Security or any of the Nazi tactics they use to subvert liberty. Start profiling passengers. If you look like one of those guys that carry bombs on airplanes, then you will be taken out back and searched. If you have a bomb on you, you will taken to the end of the runway and your bomb will be detonated with it still strapped to you…Opps, sorry we could not disarm it before hand. A few of those incidences and we’ll have the problem solved.

Finally, someone besides a passenger stands up against this abuse! I had to fly back and forth every other week for several months last year to help my sick brother. EVERY time I went through a check point I was one pulled from the crowd and patted down. I am a gray haired grand mother and must look very scary to those morons. And yes some of them do get awfully carried away in their patting down of the private region! I have lodged more than one complaint! It really torked me off when I got pulled aside and two Muslim men went on their merry way without even a glance! I threw a hissy fit that time and they finally frisked the two Muslims too! They didn’t pass!! Says a lot doesn’t it??? More power to that pilot and driving is a good way to go!

    • thinking

OH no stopping muslins is racial profiling. But stopping older women they may think they are giving you a trill. Airports are not safe, making passengers go throught this abuse is just wrong. The terrorist know how to get by security. They just use other entrances. How many movies have we seen that show how to get around security. Gives many ideas on how to get in!

      • Vicki

        thinking says:
“OH no stopping muslins is racial profiling.”

NOT stopping Muslims is ALSO racial profiling.

  • The Thistle Patch

Big brother just keeps getting bigger and more intrusive in our lives. Until the Public’s majorities say NO MORE. It will continue and get even worse. Remember its the Squeaky Hinge that gets the oil. As long as we continue to be the SILENT MAJORITY, the ACLU, NAACP, ACORN, and the list goes on and on. They will take more of our freedoms, our rights, and money in favor of minorities and big government. The only way it will ever stop is when the larger block of the public stands together and says NO MORE. UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL.
One person may draw a moments attention to what is happening but the American Public has a very short memory. That was proven during the last Presidential Election. When objects appeared that would have destroyed another politicians career, but this time where forgotten in a couple of days of their being brought to light.

  • Todd

Y, I avoid flying and have managed to avoid it since about 2007. It is worse than the cattle cars we were carted around in during basic training, and we pay for the privilege. To paraphrase someone famous: sacrificing freedom for security means that you deserve neither. The treatment of the sheep by TSA security confirms this (the proof is in the results). It’s a slippery slope and we are already well down the hill, and accelerating. To stop this is very simple. stop flying. Of course, forcing all government employees to fly coach and endure this violation of personal liberty would also probably end it too. It will take a couple of days of mass boycott and this ridiculousness will end. The governments’ masters will scream bloody murder at their bought and paid for lackeys and the tsa will be told to go back to x-raying bags and complaining that you have too large a shampoo bottle in your carry on. Mindless drones doing mindless things to mindless people for a mindless government in service to someone (who don’t fly commercial) other than the citizens. Does that about sum it up?

    • Shibamom

Hi Todd, Just wanted to let you know that not all Government employees get to fly business or first class. Believe it or not, the Federal Government’s system of employees is also a hierachy meaning that you have the high level elites, then mid-level, low-level, etc. I am not a a Senior Executive (SES) with the Feds but am more of a mid-level. Everyone that travels where I work NEVER flys anything but coach and if we are allowed to rent a car, it is ALWAYS a compact unless you are carrying equipment with you. BUT…to get the next higher level of car, you have to provide the number of and sizes of all boxes, etc., otherwise, you don’t get it. I’m not upset with your comments…just wanted to let you know that not all Federal Government employees get special privledges for anything. We are actually much more scrutinized than any member of congress or senate. This includes how we plan and execute our budgets. And once we receive our money for the year, we must show how the funds were expended. In many ways, I don’t mind because we all have a responsibility to use tax payer’s money wisely. Just remember that not all Federal Employees are given special treatment as we are led through the airport security maze like cattle too.

      • DaveH

Just so you know, Shibamom, I don’t dislike the rank and file. I don’t blame anybody for taking what is offered to them. But I do blame those who vote for all the Big Government growth, whether they work for Government or not.

        • Shibamom

No problem Dave…I understand your position. Until now, I’ve not really paid much attention to how large Gov’t has gotten. But now I’m awake and paying attention and I don’t like what I see. I now know that I do not like big Government at all, especially this administration.

      • Gary

        Hi Shibamon,
I think Todd was trying to make the point that the “elites” in government who are mandating these “security” procedures are never subject to them.

        • Shibamom

Thanks for setting me straight Gary. I re-read his post and now see that is all he meant. Since I work for the Government, I get to see first hand all the inequities. And it isn’t just elitist Government types either. While Government employees are required to utilize the cheapest means available to travel, all the Government-hired contractors live high off the hog traveling in first class and renting big expensive cars and staying in expensive hotels while we are required to stay in base quarters.

  • jc

On my last flight, after being searched and humiliated, they asked me how I was doing – (as a half cheerful greeting and attempt at civility). I told this particular TSA officer “The next time; I’m going to ride the bus” and I do mean it.

The bus 1) will not fall out of the sky, 2) you don’t have to be treated like a criminal when you ride it, and 3)you get to see the countryside and the people are in a much better mood. That’s good enough for me.

The airlines can keep it and shove it.

    • JC

jc, (great initials btw) I’m with you. I don’t have to fly for business anymore and I refuse to fly for pleasure after the experiences I’ve had. Rather than fly anywhere, I bought an RV and now take my holidays on the ground. My wife and I want to see Europe…we’ll be taking a boat or private charter to get there.
The mainstream airlines are on their way out anyway so we might as well start orienting ourselves to different travel methods.

Having nothing to hide does NOT diminish my right to privacy.

On a side note, just for fun…but a porno mag to give the TSA folks when they ask you to scan…if the want to see someone naked, hand them the magazine. ;)

    • http://none Mike

Shh! Dont give them any ideas we will have the T.S.A in our bus terminals too lol. Mike

  • Bud

why, pray tell, are you all blaming the airlines or the airports for gosh sake?? It’s the damned government who mandates all this bull crap! So change the government, vot like you mean it in Nov!!!!!

    • Gary

Right on Bud, the airlines have no choice.

      • JC

        Yeah actually they do.
In protest they could simply stop taking reservations for a month and then shut down for two weeks…and do so sporadically until this BS stops.

        • eddie47d

Not really! Many conservatives (and others) dislike protesters(yes this would be a protest),or strikers or any boycott. They would be the biggest complainers and would be the first to cross the “picket line” because their ability to fly was taken away from them.If the airline closed down they would just go to another airline or drive to Canada and use their airlines.

          • JC

            Missed the point as usual…
a private company can close for business
anytime it wants to for as long as it wants to.
If all the airlines did it together, the backlash
would be tremendous. The airlines can run ads and
billboards telling people why they are closed.

They could put a naked image on a billboard with a leering TSA agent nearby…the people would get on board pretty fast.

          • eddie47d

Jc, I got what you said immediately. Too many people depend on flying to do any real damage.

          • JC

Yep, it’s problematic…but something has to happen.

        • Gary

The airlines are trying to run a business. The object is to make money by providing a needed or wanted service.

          • JC

Obviously Gary, but if they are losing ridership gradually due to overbearing, inneffective and humiliating security requirements, wouldn’t they be better off to put their collective feet down all at once and bring it to a stop? Or just go on the way they are until no one patronizes them anymore..or too few to generate a profit.

          • Vicki

It works for people. Just ask unions about strikes.
If they all went on strike there would be some concessions from the government. Or the government would just do the takeover and we could stop pretending like the government doesn’t own the airlines too.

    • marvin

      Bud

I have not flown since the Patriot Act. This country is steadily moving away from the Constitution. In fact, I would say the Constitution is now only a smoke screen. The people who would steer our country to socialism are as patient and persistent as Muslim terroists. They are as peristent as radical homosexuals. What they don’t realize is that once they have completely dislodged the Constitution the government, having been done “using” them, will turn on them as well.

  • Teresa

Corp. can have video conferences to cut back on unnecesary flying. This is nothing more than gov. control same as them driving down highway in van scanning you. They allow muslims to bypass in fear of profiling yet our own citizens can be put thru ridiculious measures. The government is finding it increasingly hard to control the American people now that “WE” are paying attention to their tactics and are not the dead sheep to their ploys. They hate the fact that we still put our faith in God and not the government and will stand together against the government control of the American people. Continue to learn people and fight for what is right, never falter on your values and stand Together!

  • E.R. Kettring

Wait~~ just think about the underware bomber. Got though all check points until the very end. SUDDENLY all those new scanners were already built and ready for placement. No time to draw blueprints. SET UP DEAL FOLKS!!!

  • http://Verizon Bud G.

As a past manager of an airport check point, I don’t see the point of checking the personnel who fly the plane or the attendants. I do think the cargo area should be a point of serious concern now and there doesn’t seem to be as much emphasis from a security standpoint.

People came through the check point with guns, knives, chemicals and all sorts of things including the makings of an explosive device. We caught one man trying to pass through with two Japanese swords strapped to his legs. He walked stiff legged and said he was wearing braces on his legs. Instead of passing him through the scan, I had him raise one pants leg and there it was. The full body scan, in my opinion, is an invasion of privacy. The old system worked if the security personnel were properly trained. I understand the reason for enhanced security because non-metallic items cannot be detected on the old metal detector system but if one uses the proper technique and women search women and men search men, it should be continued because the threat is still very real. The question is, do you want less inconvenience or assurance you will not become a victim of terrorism? I personally would like to see the full body scan eliminated because I do not believe it does a better job than a well trained security person.

    • DaveH

“Those who would sacrifice freedom for security deserve neither” – Ben Franklin.

      • DaveH

Sounds a little crazy doesn’t it? But think about this. What is the point of giving up control of our lives to one group so they can supply the illusion of protecting us from another group? We will still be Slaves. Only our Masters will change.
I would rather go down fighting anyday then to become a slave to a bunch of bullies.

        • JC

Hitler gained supreme control of Germany by disarming them and promising them change. He also swore to eradicate and protect them from their great enemy, the “Jew.
But of course that could never happen here in America.
Someone would have to stage a false flag attack on American soil, then identify the enemy, rev up as much fear as possible, stir up anger as patriotism, invoke a whole bunch of controlling laws, start a war…….
          Hey wait a minute….

          • Bob L

You are spot on, JC, it is, as the expression states in French, a “fait accompli”, already done.Everyone, and I do mean everyone should watch a documentery titled Terror Storm, which can be found at http://topdocumentaryfilms.com It includes the purposely orchestrated attack on an American warship by, ‘The Israelis’ off their coast in order to place the blame on Egypt and invade that and most probably certain “other” middle Eastern countries. It was a despicable atrocity sanctioned by the top levels of the pentagon and the federal government. Vote this November AND remember that Bill Clinton let the best chance to whack Bin Laden slip through his groping fingers.

      • eddie47d

Dave that sounds good and all “I’d rather go down fighting” but it’s rather late to be doing that after the plane has blown up and you refused to take precautions before hand.”Security” will be with us until the end of time.Has been since the beginning of time. Civil Liberties need to be protected along with our safety concerns. I see no use for the x-ray scanners but some precautions will remain.

        • DaveH

Do you ever really read my comments, Eddie. Because your replys don’t indicate to me that you understand what I’m saying, most of the time.

          • eddie47d

Dave, Bud G., was talking about airline security and you responded to him and I responded to you’re reply to him.So I definitely got the drift.

Lets see. Executive orders. Full majority in the House. Filibuster proof majority (there are enough RINOs in there) in the Senate. Rolling back all the supposed evil of the Bush Admin would take about a week. If they really wanted too. Instead they voted to CONTINUE the Patriot Act. They voted ANOTHER bailout or 3.

And this malfunctioning administration has the utter gall to villainize the chamber of commerce,go soak your little pointed heads.

  • Mary Theard

Why would this new airline device not be used to scan the Mosques and other places considered to be off limits…..then the military and government could see what was being hidden in such places and not just accept the excuse given by the radicals using these homes and other places for hide outs.

    • Kate8

      Mary, Interesting thought.

Surely it must be against the Muslim religion to allow themselves to be bodyscanned or molested – er, patted down. Good grief, they get themselves executed for less, especially women.

Do they force Muslims to submit to these practices, since this is the whole point of it?

    • Bob L

They, the federal miscreants, would probably come up with yet another definition of screaming protectionism, perhaps calling it “freedom fighter” profiling? Or the burnoose shall always be loose? And Eric the Red sits, twiddles his almost apposing thumbs and smiles along with his comrades the black panthers.

    • eddie47d

Mary Theard; If they can scan a Mosque without probable cause then that will open a door to “scan” your church or even your home or business. How many cans of worms do you want to open.

        eddie47,

        Religion?

Two Muslim women were stopped from boarding a flight from Britain to Pakistan for refusing to go through new body scanners, citing religious and medical reasons, airport officials say.

No party, not the Libertarians, not the Communist or Socialist parties, not the Tea Party, not ANY party is immune to co-option by the PTB if a political movement gets strong enough to be dangerous to the NWO plan.

For most Americans, politics is little more than an enthusiasm.

For those who make politics their business, it can be a good living.

For the Powers That Be, it’s a tinker toy.

Much the same can be said of most wars and monetary systems.

“No party, not the Libertarians, not the Communist or Socialist parties, not the Tea Party, not ANY party is immune to co-option by the PTB if a political movement gets strong enough to be dangerous to the NWO plan.”

Average Joe, I agree, once upon a time I was registered as a republican, Liberatarian and am now independant.

I voted for Reagan but when it broke that he made deals with terrorist for sake of getting elected, I quit supporting him.

I thought Newt’s “republican revolution” was best thing to hit politics in a long time. But got angry when it was just so much hot air to elected.

I support about 80% of the liberatarian platform, but beleive we have to have sensible regulations on bussiness. I also do not like thier idea of selling off all national parks to the highest bidder.

I Voted for “change” but got got burned again. ALL parties, are in the pockets of big business which is part of the NWO. All politicians in in it for themselves, so go along with the money.

Revolution “NOW” wake up america NWO…!!

  • Nancy Kosling

Boy, we have a wild bunch on line today. That’s good!

First, I support Michael Robert’s actions not to be subjected to serious x-ray exposures. Each TSA x-ray exposure is equal to ten(10) chest x-rays. If the pilots and safety officers (stewards) are lucky, that’s only fifty(50) chest x-rays each week! Mixed flights, lay-overs and overtime are extra exposures. If pilots and safety officers work 50 weeks a year, that is a minimum of 2,550 chest x-rays. Union officers. Where are you? This a a major health issue. They need RADIATION EXPOSURE CARDS if they concent only to conduct their business.

Second, the physical toughing of lower bodies and sex organs of anyone not in the sex-trade is a physical/sexual assault. Lawyers. Where are you? To my way of thinking this is purped by sex offenders and need to be processed accordingly. “My supervisor told me to, is no excuse to commit felony assault.”

On these two issues, let is kick the empty can around on the street.

      • Gary

Sorry to jump on the rabbit trail.

      • Karolyn

NPR is one of the most fair and balanced media organizations there is. They always provide plenty of time for both viewpoints. I don’t think what they did what right; however, it does not negate their eing a very newsworthy source. I have learned more about conservatism from listening to NPR than from seeing some of the weird things written here.

        • libertytrain

I’ve not noticed them being fair and balanced – but perhaps I didn’t listen often enough and now, won’t be in the future.

          • Karolyn

Actually, Liberty, one of the most interesting shows I have heard on there recently was an interview with a young conservative writer. I wish I could remembe his name and the title of his book. It was very informative hearing a well-spoken, literate conservative speaking of his views. And don’t think I don’t listen. I pick and choose what I believe in from all sides. I can really not be pigenholed into any one label, although I have maintained my liberality for many years.

        • DaveH

          Karolyn,
You need to listen to Conservatives explain their viewpoints to know what is Conservative (therefore fair and balanced). Don’t confuse Right-Wingers with Conservatives. I know they have claimed the title but it is akin to the Progressives stealing the title of “Liberal” from the original Liberals that started our country. A true Conservative (Classical Liberal) believes in the Individual Liberty that was at the root of our countries beginnings. Not too many of them anymore amongst the Right-Wingers.

          • Karolyn

Duh, I am a pretty intelligent person, Dave. The guy I listened to sounded like you people, only he was more eloquent and not angry. Of course, he wasn’t baited, which they do not do on NPR. Actually, I would even read his book if I could remember it.

            “The Law” by Frederic Bastiat.

            http://mises.org/rothbard/foranewlb.pdf

          • DaveH

“More eloquent and not angry”, Karolyn? Are you kidding? Was your comment to Vicki done with a pleasant smile on your face: “Vicki – I picture you waying that as the wicked witch of the west wringing her hands with glee. Why would anyone be less deserving of something than you? What makes you so special? Oh, I forgot, you’re a conservative! Silly me.”
Do you Liberals ever look in the mirror?

      • JeffH

Just ask the liberal Juan Williams how fair and balanced National Progressive Radio is. Anti-American and former Nazi collaberator George Soros just recently donated $1.8 mil to NPR.
They promote liberal Progressive ideas and nothing more. Fair and balanced my A$$! That explains totally your constant liberal spin.
        Talk about indoctrinated listeners.

surely you are not suggesting they are a little “unbalanced” — :)

        • Karolyn

Do you ever listen? Actually, CAN any news media be really fair and balanced? I believe that they can to a certain point. However, some take it to extremes like Fox. I heard Fox being discussed this morning and it was explained how a nighttime Fox commentator will make a comment about someone saying that there is socialism in the White House. Then, first thing in the morning, another commentator takes up the cry, and we’re off to the races. This example was being used to show how carefully orchestrated Fox News is (to get the most mileage from a given topic) as opposed to the other networks.

          • DaveH

You think that Juan Williams (who comments on Fox) isn’t a Liberal? Or Alan Colmes, or Mark Lamont Hill, or Bob Beckel? They are all commentators on Fox News. Just listening to those guys for a minutes makes my stomach turn (especially Mark Lamont Hill who thinks fast talking is a sign of intelligence). If those aren’t Liberals, I would hate to encounter a real Liberal.

        • Christin

          Jeff H.,
You are right on with that one.

          G. soros who supports NPR and BHO both hate FOX and Free Speech …this is the beginning of their way of getting RID of both… attacking FOX through Juan and part of his speech claiming fear with flying with muslims in their garb.

          BACKFIRED! (for now)

Now Congress is trying to defund taxpayer support for NPR who is taking the Liberal side politically.

People need to wake up to G soros who collapsed FOUR currencies in different countries, some of those nations have kicked HIM out of their country… why aren’t we?
He is trying to collapse our currency, too!

“Defending a persons “right” to be wrong is Ok.
Defending a persons “right” to take your “rights” is INSANITY”
    ~Me

    • DaveH

That’s what gets me about the Liberals. They not only want to forcibly take away your money, your rights, and your choices, but then they proceed to act as if they occupy the moral highground. What incredible creeps.

      • libertytrain

        Very, very well said.

  • JS

Some of you I agree, If we don,t vote out the Lawyers, liberals and radicles, We are headed for destruction.
If Obama does not resign or get impeached, then if he is not voted out in 2012 everyone will lose everything just like the Germans did in World war 2. The change has to start now or in 2012 American will end up being in Gorilla war fare just like a third world country. The Muslims must be stopped in America, They have an agenda and if you don’t know what that is you need to read the koran. If you are not muslim you are an infidel and if you don’t convert you must die. They believe lying to infidel give them a lot of points in the next life.I hope and pray that all Americans will rise up and take our country back.

    JS

    • eddie47d

JS; Are you on the poppycock hit parade??No comparison to WII or Germany you flippant hack. Muslims will Not take over America and you’ll still have your guns in 2012 and beyond. You will still be able to believe in God for a very long time and probably forever. No one is going to lock you in a church and burn it down. That’s how some of the crazies think so snap out of it. I’d be more worried about their Agenda!

      • http://none Mike

Good point Eddie I am a christan conservitive. But not a hack for anyone. Sometimes I think some people here see conspiercy behind every tree though. We are supposed to pray for the sinner and hate the sin(Not make him glow in the dark)After that Ill take care of my back yard you take care of yours. And if you do need a little help in your back yard ask and I might help. As far as the religion of hate thing goes I dont paint them all with the same brush.Just like there are bad and good in every religion and even every man(Ye who are without sin cast the first stone)Dont forget it was the Communist that subverted cathloics to help take power in Russia. And any student of history can go back to pre-crusade islam and see the good these people were once capeable of. Untill we break the bonds of IGNORANCE there can be no progress. Mike L. p.s Going to start adding last inital there . Alot of Mike’s here lol

    • JC

I believe you are right. The leaders of Islam (some) are advocating world dominance. Their religion tells them they must kill infidels. (you and me) Our government is following a policy of appeasement, much like Europe did with Hitler until it was too late…we better not make the same mistake.
And if Islam is the Religion of Peace, why does it have such a remarkable record for murder and such a high body count? And why aren’t moderate main stream Muslims denouncing the Radicals?
      Because they approve, that’s why!

      • Karolyn

JCD – I have been reading the Koran and have found nothing telling them they must kill infidels. I found one stanza saying to fight for Allah but most of what is said is that Allah will judge at the day of atonement. That is repeated over and over – that He will discipline them. It also refers to people who are not Muslims but are good, charitable and honorable people going to heaven. The translation I have is an old one, first done in the 50s and the last being ’76.

        • http://?? Joe H.

          karolyn,
          Who is JCD????

        • Kate8

Karolyn, I’m sure that, since the Koran you are reading is for American consuption (it’s not supposed to be translated into English) it probably left some things out.

          LOL.

  • Mark

“Defending a persons right to be wrong is OK”? Bzzzz…not good. More times than not when your wrong you have done something illegal. If you choose to kill someone you loose the right to life PERIOD. If you rape and mame a child, you have lost the right to life PERIOD. If someone willfully does wrong acts, you don’t slap them on the hands, you make believers of them. The taxpayers of this country should NOT have to pay to house people that have killed and/or raped women and children. I would personally give the shot or turn on the electicity. Hanging was the best, quick, snap, done. As for the TSA, I believe that was the original subject. Screw them. Why is everyone in such a big hurry anyhow, Greed?? Take a train or drive your car, smell the roses and piss on the TSA and their communist searches.

    • Karolyn

Don’t you understand that death is a reward for these perpetrators? When we die, our spirit it released into the cosmos to come back again if it wishes, reincarnated into another body. (Get that I don’t believe in heven and hell?) A much worse fate is life in prison. Of course, if you do believe in hell, then I guess you’re right. And then again, depending on what your belief is, if a person is perfectly honest, spiritual and pure, and devotes their life to the betterment of humanity, they won’t get into heaven if they are not a Christian.

      • DaveH

Worse fate for who, Karolyn, them or the taxpayers? I say if they want death, help them out. If you believe they are mostly willing to die for their religion, then you need to explain to me why they gave up so easily in Both Iraq wars? Sure there are a few fanatics who get suckered into killing themselves by their leaders who are more then willing to give up somebody else’s life, but those fools are a tiny majority of Muslims. The Government wants them alive because they make no money on them when they’re dead.

        • Karolyn

I was referring to criminals cited in the previous post, not Muslims.

          • Mark

And karolyn, I wasn’t refering to muslims either. I was refering to criminals in prisons regardless of faith. Speaking of faith, and your lack of it, I will indeed pray for you.

          • Karolyn

Mark, Thanks for the prayers. However I certainly DO have faith. Probably more than you have. I always have faith that God will take care of me. He always has!

  • Carlucci

As has been pointed out in this newsletter and many others, the muslim thing is being hyped to create and maintain fear and hatred, and to justify phony “wars” (i.e., invasions) into those countries, and “security measures” at airports.

I’m not saying radical muslims aren’t a problem. The easiest thing to do is consider what Israel is doing and that is to arm ourselves and any public transport with pork products in the form of a hanging bag of pork lard. Israel is also in the process of making something like a water pistol to hold liquified pork grease to aim and squirt at muslims who look suspicious. Because muslims are so fearful of being contaminated by a pig, any kind of terrorist act anywhere will grind to a halt, as muslims can’t get into their “heaven” or “paradise” if they’ve been contaminated by anything having to do with a pig. The amount of water in an airplane bathroom would never be sufficient to wash off the contamination as it requires large amounts of water to do a complicated purification ritual.

Having lived in the middle east for several years, I know how paranoid muslims are about pork. I know this may sound silly to some people, but google it and you will find that the Israelies are doing this. I wonder if they will make the lard pistols to resemble pigs which would send an immediate message to a would be terrorist.

  • chuck b

we could solve a lot of problems in this country by closing our borders and closing emigration, then we should ban islam and force the muslims back to their own land. withdraw our troops immediately from all muslim countries.

it will probably not be possible to avoid body searches at our airports and it would be foolish to stop it. if we eliminated searches there are too many kooks that would take advantage and commit suicide with a plane full of passengers. unless there is a more sophisticated devise to determine what people carry on their bodies comes along we are subjected whether we like it or not. you can thank islam for this, and if these people are given a free pass to get on a plane i sure wouldn’t fly on whatever plane they get on.

This line was scary for me: “Recent reports indicate the scans increase the chances of skin cancer on everyone and are especially harmful to pregnant women and young children.”

Does anyone know in what countries and for how long backscatter imaging has been in place?

My wife and I recently had friends of ours who suffered a miscarriage. The mother had to fly several places for her job, and in the first trimester. I realize that flying in the first trimester isn’t recommended by any doctors, and we advised her strongly not to fly, but what if the loss wasn’t from the cosmic radiation, but from the human-generated radiation on the ground?

Could things like this bring law-suits? I don’t think they’re the kind of people who would ever file suit in a case like this, and neither are we, but what if that’s the way to get something so statist to be repealed?

  • Bitter Libertarian

But back to the Topic…I disagree with Bob on this being the start. Gerald Celente has forecasted (pretty accurately) many of the major events over the past 10 years. His forecast of a Tax revolt I believe is spot on and therefore will mark the beginning of the 2nd American Revolt. It will begin between tax payers & the IRS with other law enforcement to follow.
My guess is the First Instance will be where the news reports someone threatening an IRS agent with a Gun, the police are called and it ends with either a small shoot out or the person surrenders. we’ll all hear about it on the 5 oclock news, MSN & FOX will report it a s well. The SECOND event will be more violent and will involve neighbors family & friends and it will escalate from there. This will be the event labeled as a Malitia movement and the attempt to sway public support away from the citizens resisting..THATS the moment right there, dont miss it!

    • Karolyn

If that happens, it will only because of your beloved media who really has fed all this hate and anger. To what end? I tend to think there are many more people in this country who do not see revolution as a viable option. I think you’re just nuts! Are we gopnna end up like some of those futuristic movies with wild bands of people in the desert fighting each other with no government whatsoever? Don’t kid yourself; that scenario is not so farfetched with people the likes of you hard-liners around.

      • Bob L

A possibility stemming from the watching of science fiction “end of civilization” films. It may well have been warned of at the beginning of the American revolution. “Oh No No, the mighty British will scorch the land,we’ll all become like the aborigines, live in tents, caves,oh woe is us.” Those who are Not prepared to fight, if need be, for their liberty, will surely lose it.

      • DaveH

        Karolyn,
Where do people come up with that business that there will be no Government? There will always be leaders. It is just human nature to rally behind leaders. But, right now the Government (local and federal) spends more than 37% of our GDP. On top of that, they use that money and power to mess with our personal choices. Talk about adding insult to injury. Just how much more do you think people will tolerate before they throw off the bondage? For sure, it would be much better if the voters would get educated and role back the size of our Leviathan Government before we get to that point. But I am not real optimistic that they will. Maybe with the Internet as a tool, the concepts of Freedom will spread throughout our country and we can get our Liberty back peacefully. That would be good and much preferable to violence.
        Vote Libertarian.

        • Karolyn

I just have to speak up on our Republican government here in SC. I just found out today at a meeting that our wonderful antiquated SC legislature scaled back funding to our One Stop employment service. That means they have closed offices so people who are looking for jobs have to go further on gas money they don’t have because they’re looking for jobs. How’s that for conservative smarts? You must know that our Republican governor and his cohorts are all conservative Repubs. Well, this is what they’re doing to us. This was straight from a ligislator’s mouth. With the next cuts in January, looks like they will be cutting out more teachers, resulting in classes of 35-40 kids, including kindergartners! I pray that our moderate Democrat Vincent Sheheen wins the governorship! Please, if you’re from SC -
anybody, don’t vote for the liar Nikki Haley who can’t even balance her own books, though she’s an accountant!

          • libertytrain

One thing you mentioned about the class sizes being increased is kind of peculiar to me – I grew up in classes that averaged 35 kids per class. Don’t remember it being a big deal. We all did well. We studied English, wrote complete sentences, learned to read with joy, did art, music, studied history, civics, geography, etc. No problems – of course we had nuns that somehow managed to command the respect of their students. I even had two different times in grade school where my classroom had two different years within it – 6th and 7th and perhaps 4th and 5th sharing the classroom and the nun. Still no problems.

          • DaveH

Give me a break, Karolyn. Since when do Democrats care about the children? They are indebting their future because they care about them? Please don’t care about me. That kind of care I can live without.

  • Michelle

As long as there are Muslins , the world will never be at peace. I am 65, was born in Europe. When I was a child they were already there taking what they could. Their hatred of the Jews is also not normal.I believe that total eradication is the only way to deal with the muslin. THEY WILL NEVER STOP. Islam is a cult, and unfortunately most people are sheep and need someone to tell them what to do, let it be religion, dictator,,etc…
I think that eventually we will see concentration camps in most countries to eleminate this plague. As the German tried to do to the Jews. There will be a time when all reasoning will go poof…….no more political correctness..total profiling……no more progressive stupid compassion…. Maybe then COMMON SENSE will return.

    • eddie47d

Too bad there wasn’t More “stupid progressive compassion” in Germany during WII. It certainly wasn’t the liberals who allowed Hitler to rise to power.

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busy bodies. The robber barons cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good, will torment us with out end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”

    C. S. Lewis

    • Average Joe Patriot

Great food for thought and point taken, but here Lewis doesn’t follow it through to the next logical extension. Let us posit an utterly amoral robber baron (your basic smiling sociopath) who under false pretenses recruits or conscripts a large following of do-gooders charged with “helping” or “saving” us, delivering us from evil within and without. Channel surfers see this sort daily in the form of TV evangelists, pontificating pundits and politicians, and heads of government departments such as the FDA expounding of the dangers of natural foods and “folk” remedies. In the days to come this same sort of manipulator will be warning the people about “hoarders” (preppers like many here), “self-styled vigilantes and homegrown terrorists” (local militias), and “anarchist rebels” (patriots) who avoid vaccinations, ID chips and “protected zones” (detention camps).

Pitting the people against a vague, generic, ubiquitous enemy (whether a shape-shifting virus, an insidious political ideology, or a particularly nasty brand of religious fanaticism) and presenting themselves as our only real hope of salvation, such sociopathic leaders will cheerfully send their duped, dogged do-gooders into the fray to do their bidding in battle against the unbelievers–we, the people.

We can understand that the census taker, the tax collector, the medical team, the BATF agent who arrives at our door is merely following orders, but that doesn’t mean they don’t represent the enemy. “1984″ is here now, and just as in the classic novel, the majority of our fellow comrades (the sheeple) don’t know it yet.

Another morsel for thought: If they don’t already have it, what do you imagine the PTB would pay to own the Personal Liberty mailing list, with our actual e-mail addresses?

  • Rick S

Simple fix. If a terrorist comes from a country then you ban all immigration and visitors from that country for ten years. You also ban all your airlines from landing there.

If any other airline services that country just refuse to refuel their aircraft when they are in North America.

Not a shot fired or a life lost.
That country will be shipping the terrorists nuts on a silver platter to the president just to get the door open again.

    • eddie47d

That’s a better approach than a lot of what I’ve heard over the months.

Oh Ya I forgot about the pilot. I don’t blame him one bit.

On the subject of gun control:
If the fed really wants gun control they should consult with China because they control all! No criminals dare to obtain gun to do their deeds unless they are ready to die… so why do it when you cannot stay alive long enough to enjoy what you take from others?

  • Camille

Well you all sound like constitution thumpers to me until it comes to something that frightens you and then you are no better than Homeland Security and naked scans. You are all for violating someone else’s rights just not yours. YOU are the problem!!!! Its this mentality that has gotten us in the mess we are in abroad and here at home.

    • Karolyn

      Good point Camille.

    • Average Joe Patriot

Very astute. See my earlier post about sociopathic saviors pitting us against a vaguely defined but ubiquitous threat. They will tell us we must give up our guns to distinguish honest citizens from terrorist, must get vaccinated and chipped (“Now available with one easy visit, or we’ll come to you!”) because bio-terrorism is a real threat, must surrender our stored supplies and victory gardens for the good of the commonweal.

They’ve now gotten us to the point where even staunch, self-described Constitutionalists are ready to trample the Constitution itself to protect themselves from whatever boogeyman Big Brother dreams up next. If we are to have no laws regarding the establishment of religion, we cannot then add: “…except for __________” and fill in the blank as our manipulators see fit. Not and still follow the precepts of our nation’s founders.

There are those among us who realize that switching to alternative and local energy sources, taking back our monetary system from private banksters, bringing home all our troops and stationing them on our borders and in our ports, would practically put paid to any external terrorist or foreign-power threat and thus obviate any excuse for a Department of Homeland Insanity. But I fear there are not enough people remaining who are untainted by the Kool-Aid.

      • Karolyn

Joe – What are you talking about? “must surrender our stored supplies and victory gardens for the good of the commonweal.” Who is taking our gardens and supplies?

        • Average Joe Patriot

I didn’t say they were, Karolyn…yet. (Though home-grown sustenance has been in the cross-hairs of the international EU Codex Alimentarius, which many of our leaders with a NWO agenda support and want our nation to buy into.)

          But, could this happen? Here?

Well, let’s see. First they have to have the self-created authority to do it. (Do they? Yes, Karolyn, they do.) Then they have to have the enforcement weapons to do it. (Do they? Yes, Karolyn, they do.) Then they have to have an emergency management system with plans laid out to accomplish this all legally. (Do they? Yes, Karolyn, they do.) Then all they need is to have an emergency or series of them (natural or man-made).

          Have they? Ever? Well, Karolyn…

…unless you count the economic emergency known as the Great Depression, where whole farms were taken, no. Unless you count the crushing of the Whiskey Rebellion and the various Appalachian and Colorado miners strikes, no. Unless you count the ongoing arrest of distillers and seizure of unauthorized distilleries, no. Unless you count the War on Drugs, in which entire hemp crops have been seized and even kitchen marijuana plants are impounded and nice folks imprisoned for years, no. Unless you count WWII, when whole families were placed in detention camps for the duration, no. Unless you count Katrina, where guns, food, even homes were commandeered at gunpoint by National Guard and Blackwater mercenaries hired by FEMA, no. Unless you count repeated guns-drawn attacks on private natural food clubs, no. Unless you count General Sherman’s march through Georgia, no. Unless you count what was done to the indigenous Americans and the blacks under the name of law in this country, no.

Other than those and a few other isolated examples, what’s the worry?

The worry I and many have is, where there’s precedent, there’s a far greater likelihood of repeat behavior. Whether on the part of individuals, groups, or governments.

Even more sobering than precedent, there are published contingency plans, of which government think-tanks have come up with many. So when finally they come for the organic sprouts and medicinal herbs on your kitchen window sill, when they take next year’s seeds and require you to buy non-reproducing GMO seeds, are you going to protest, Karolyn? Or stand in line and get on the train.

When that which is not expressly permitted in your garden, greenhouse or kitchen becomes a criminal act, will you stamp your foot or place it firmly in a shooter’s stance and defend what is rightfully yours?

(Note: It’s only “rightfully” yours if you CAN and are WILLING to defend it. And of course, if you win. But that’s the nub, isn’t it? Not your job, the politicians and their appointed agencies are supposed to do that for you, aren’t they? Aren’t they???)

          • Karolyn

I’m taking a stand now Joe. I keep abreast of proposed legislation and take action when called for. I would not fight, no matter what. If things ever did get that bad, I’d probably just take my own life and go on. I just doubt things can go as far as you make them out to.

          • Kate8

Karolyn, Laws to do these very things are already on the books. They just wait to be implemented.

Remember the co-op group in Idaho where all of their flour and food supplies were confiscated on some trumped-up charge? This has already begun under the radar.

This has been done before, and will be done again. Many of us don’t have the means to fight physically. I know you are a pacifist, but do you really think it’s virtuous to simply lay down before the force of evil? To refuse to fight (if you can) is to allow so many others to suffer at the hands of evil when, perhaps, you could have helped them. Dropping dead only makes the enemy,s job easier.

  • Raggs

The point, the only point and the only TRUE there is!

Propaganda by the communist left obama, he throws his scare tatics at you so you will bow to him while he detroy’s every ounce of your dignity and you gladly give in to his tyranny!

So when the real shit hit’s the fan and it will… you will be on your knee’s in worship to your only leader… the leader you have is a pittiful excuse for a man…

May I add the only way to take my freedom is with a bullet!
I cannot say the same about anyone else.

  • Raggs

Ok so my last post sounded like a rant…

I find it harder and harder to see what is happening and know what it means for the poor dumb people that worship this God hating fool.

Everyday we see how the lefist / communist media like ABC, NBC, CBS ,MSNBC use christians as a pin cushin all the while prasing muslims and obama the lord of deception and striff… The son of predition…

Predition means to prey upon, and by golly he prey’s upon the christians.. he is the desolate one, the evil one and the dammed.

    • Gary

Another rant Raggs, but I think you are on to something there.

    • Karolyn

Raggs, I don’t know how you guys do it – reading people’s minds is a pretty good trick. You can tell everything about the President, so you must be reading his mind. You don’t really know s**t. All you know is what you think you know, what your perception tells you, what your heroes tell you.

      • Raggs

        Karo…

        You are mistaken…

I’m not afraid of obama I just plain and simply hate him.
I hate him because of people like you that refuse to find the real truth… Oh let’s see … I am going to make a guess… You believe obama is a christian?…
Do you believe you are a christian?.. Do you know what a christian is?
Do you know who Jesus is?

You probably think as he does “there are many paths to heaven”.. Well I may be streching that.. You may not believe in heaven.. obama sure can’t when he proclaims that statement.

        Anyway..

        • Karolyn

I have already stated several times that I am not a Christian, and there is no haven or hell. I was a Christian for most of my life until I started to question my beliefs. I don’t think it matters what he believes. I have no reason to question his statements that he is a Christian. His beliefs are between him and God. How can you presume to know so much. It is all just conjecture and what might be called “circumstantial evidence.” Isn’t a person always innocent until proven guiltty? Or have you decided that is not the way it’s supposed to be here in this country?

Karolyn, Obama’s religion is between him and (his) god only insofar as he keeps it to himself. When his beliefs start to encroach in his administrative decision making, that makes it everyone’s business.

Social Justice is part of his (supposed) religion. And that is what he is all-out attempting to impose on America. Redistribution of wealth is part of Social Justice, as is the ruination of our Republic on all levels.

I think that makes his religion of utmost concern. And, he is attempting to elevate certain liberal religions/factions over the more traditional ones observed by half the country. Oh, and let’s be sure to include Islam among the preferred and privileged.

          • Karolyn

Kate – There you go again, reading minds. You don’t REALLY know these things to be true, do you? Well, you can’t, because nobody REALLY knows. We can guess and spin all we want; but in the end…..

          • Kate8

Karolyn, Obama’s actions speak loudly of his beliefs. He would not be pushing Social Justice on us if he did not believe in it!

He admitted to sitting in a church for 20 years that taught this. He panders to Islam to the point of raising many eyebrows.

I may or may not be able to occasionally read minds (LOL). But I can sure hear what people say and see what they do. It’s not like it’s been a secret, either. He’s admitted these things himself on many occasions during his years prior to becoming Usurper. But then, you probably haven’t concerned yourself with such things.

  • da norseman

Radical Islam does have an Achilles Heel. Number one, unlike Islam in general, radical Islam is a cult since it involves anyone sacrificing his life while taking as many lives as possible because he believes he can get to that “paradise” as promised by Allah where he would live in eternity with countless number of virgins because he took the lives of non-believers or infidels. Denying him the chance of getting to paradise where he would die a horrible death is the key to defeating radical Islam.

Terror groups such as al Qaeda, Hamas and Hezbollah brainwash wannabe terrorists into believing that they are destined to that “paradise” if they carry out the killing of non-believers while taking their own lives. It’s like the Kamikaze pilots of the Second World War who were afraid to be called cowards or traitors if they did not carry out what was ordered by their superiors. Radical Islamic groups are afraid of touching or consuming pork and even just by touching a pig, which they claim as filthy animals where one has committed blasphemy and is doomed to hell.

As long as these human rights organizations and other sympathetic bleeding-heart groups are still around, radical Islam will always exist because these leftist groups are protecting their beliefs and preventing others from “violating their rights”. That is why we will continue to have strict security at airports and subject ourselves to humiliating strip searches and so on before even boarding a plane.

    • Karolyn

It’s not called being afraid of not following orders. It’s called “honor,” to them – Japanese and radical Islamists.

      • da norseman

That’s why the other name for the Kamikaze was “Divine Wind” which led them to that “honor”. Many veteran Japanese pilots of WWII have explained in the years after the war that they began to feel resentment toward their superiors of the Kamikaze. As for Islamic radicals, insanity has really settled in.

        • Karolyn

One man’s insanity is another rationality.

          • Ray

The only thing muslims respect is quick and deadly retaliation (sp?). If they kill one of our people we should kill 1,000,000 of theirs wherever they are and that includes schools, hospitals, mosques, etc. No more kid gloves for them. Solution to the Mosque at Ground Zero? Bury a pig on the same spot, pour pigs blood all over ground zero – end of story.

Now for Air Travel, Screw the TSA and the airlines. We are no more secure now that we were during 9-11. That is the main reason I dont fly – flight attendandts think they are a big deal now and full of their ugly selves, and the rules are ridiculous! X-Rays are harmful, especially if one flies frequently, taking shoes off is a royal pain in the butt, especially for those with bad backs. So the moral is if you can avoid it try driving or taking the train or bus. If you can get enough people together hire a private jet and split the cost.

Lastly, VOTE THE DEMS OUT OF OFFICE THIS NOVEMBER, that will solve over half the problems we now have. While we are at it we need to get rid of Bernake right away at the Federal Reserve and then get rid of the entire federal reserve!

          • Karolyn

You, sir, are a disgusting example of a human being. Kill, kill, kill! That would be your answer to everything.

          • Kate8

Well, Karolyn, that IS Islam’s answer to everything. Does that outrage you, too?

          • http://?? Joe H.

            kate8,
no, according to karolyn the koran tells muslims to love the infidels!!!

          • Kate8

JoeH – Sigh. This is exactly why we’re in this mess.

          • Karolyn

Kate and the rest of you – I’m gonna tell you the same thing that’s been suggested to me: “Read the Koran.”

          • Claire

Karolyn–Sorry, I have no intention of reading the Koran–I know all I need to know about the Koran through editing. I know all I need to know about the Islam/Muslims and their practices/methods. I have edited enough books on terrorism and this way of life does NOT appeal to me at all. I find it strange that I have not edited one single book that is in “favor” of the Koran–the Islams, Muslims. On other subjects, the publishing company I work for normally has an unbiased, wide diversity on issues. This is not one of them. Perhaps the writers/authors out there in this world do not favor the Koran.

    • Raggs

Instead of a full body scan, how about a quick shower in pig blood!
You know it can be like the movie carry.

I have heard of some lamestream media calling muslims “moderate”..
Oh batshit!…. 100 gallons of pig blood at the mosque site in NY may do the trick…

Why does everyone want to call the muslims moderate, the mexicans welcome, and a christian hatefull?

Well I hope you moderatly shake your terrorist hands, welcome you mexicans to rape your daughter and forget the phone number to your local church.

      • Old_Money_Bags

Yes. We have all the weapons we need to stop the Muslims. Start by a nuclear detonation in Mecca and Medina during their holy pilgrimage. Doing so will allow a large number of them to plead their case directly to Allah at once. If they have a case at all, they should be able to convince Allah to at least bring a asteroid out of orbit and have it crash into the US. I am not digging a bunker in anticipation.

Teheran is a very large city with most of Iran’s population concentrated there. A nuclear attack on Teheran would be effective and efficient. A low cost solution to a long litany of complaints from Iran.

Saudi Arabia is not a favorite of mine. They are very duplious in their dealings. A few small scale nuclear attacks would finish off the rest of the country after the Mecca and Medina strikes.

So what of the Muslim religion. They pray too much and work too little. They demand a theocracy. Deport all muslims back to their country of origin so they can further democracy there. Of course, pay them for their trip home on a plane packed with their kind and of course muslim pilots and staff. The trip should be an joyus affair for all of them.

After seeing them all get gone, the rest of the minorities that try to build a political faction to control the majority should settle down a bit.

        • http://gunner689 gunner689

You’re right, we do have all the weapons to get the problem solved. But we don’t have the type of will in leadership to do it. Whose more dangerous; the peaceful gun owner who may have hundred of firearms or the crack-head with a stolen Saturday Night Special. America is like the former while our enemies are the latter.

Anyone who believes the 9/11 tragedy was perpetrated by a man from a cave in Afganistan should consider that the ‘Patriot Act’ of several hundred, or thousands of pages was all prepared and ready to go just before 9/11.
Also, there is much evidence that neither Bush nor Obama were/are completely their ‘own man.’
JFK started to print United States Notes, instead of using the Federal Reserve Notes, in an effort to get back to Constitutional money. So he was taken out. Evidently, all our presidents since FDR have been controlled to a greater or lesser degree.

    • Old_Money_Bags

All the talk about the rich controlling someone in office is the biggest farce of all. I have to think I am one of the wealthiest writers to this site. I have very little control over any politician. I am a real threat to spend thousands and thousands against local politicians. Why waste the money? The main problem is when you call them and ask them to do something for you, they answer with the cover all reply “Can’t do that because it is illegal.” The laws are so numerous and all emcompassing that I would not argue with them.

This is how politics works for you that are having a real problem with the concepts. A good portion of the writers I think.

First, you have to want to operate with political methods rather than the old standard work.

Second, you have to want to be a political operative or politician.

Then, you have to start winning friends and amassing the main thing a politican needs a controlled constituency.

How do you do the last one? You have to socialize and be able to read people’s comments, actions, intentions, weaknesses, strenghts, body language, and judge their desires. You have to be a listener and a talker that always talks to the audience at hand. I have attended meetings with more “know” family who were being spoken to in one room by a politician as part of breaking up the numerous attendees of a meeting into work groups while I was given a talk by the same politician later in a different room. Since I am a bit reclusive, I was not know to the politician. He came back and attacked my “family’s position” which was not political but more of a zoning issue. After the meeting, the other family members told me what he had said to their groups and told me all was OK. I told them that the opposite was true and that the politcian had given us fee options when he spoke to the larger group I was sitting in on. Be careful not to do this as a politcian but you have to vary your story to fit your audience. That is what polls are supposed to tell you.

So, now you would sell your mother for a few more votes and are ready to make some money. Of course, you cannot take a check from the state road paving association directly. However, one of your captains can take the money and you can direct the contracts. Kick backs, over priced land, building, and services purchases, overpriced supplies, narrow specifications on materials and jobs, deposites of public money, fake invoices, and so on are your stock in trade. All you have to do is keep your voters happy especially around election time. If you decide to stay out of the limelight and not be an elected official all the better. You can be a captain who handles money or a captain with a constitency. The first has the politician in a legal trap and the second has the politician in a vote trap. Both can demand favors such as highway routing, location of new schools, location of new public buildings, and the over priced purchase price paid for land or rents.

One rich man does not have a chance. He can only offer his vote and a little money. What matters is the core of politicians and public money leeches that support and fund each other. Some of them are corporations such as Ross Perot’s EDS that supplied the navy with overpriced computer systems, support, and services which is fine Ross, someone has to do it. Others are nonprofits which have high paid administrators. Some are just wheeler dealers that make millions and keep their mouths shut in the shadows.

These conspiracy theories about the trilateral commission, the billderburgers, and all that spew forth are great reading. If they were true, then a member of the Ford family would be King of the Planet by now.

To control politics and thereby make law and confine people’s freedom you have to enter into the arena and get dirty like the rest of the hogs.

      • Rick S

        Yep old boy,
It’s been that way since the begining of time. Hahahaha.

If you run out of room for all that money I have room here because I was too stupid to get rich. Yep, My own fault. Now I’m too old.
A guy makes his own bed then he has to lay in it. Hahahaha.

Ah, my day is complete! i41 has spoken!

  • Leo

I have been reading comments here and wondering why so many of them invoked 9/11 as a reason to hate Muslims.

As a civil engineer with some military experience as a demolition specialist I can only laugh, or cry, when people express their unshakable belief that THREE modern high rise buildings could fall in one day because of fire, even though they were hit by only TWO airplanes, when through all the Earth history it has not happened even once before.
The official version of explanation of 9/11 tantamount to a miracle!

    Can’t they omit this invoking?

    • Old_Money_Bags

One plane per building with fuel is all that was needed. I will try to explain. I have not read the offical report and do not care to read it. I am an engineer, not a PE though.

The building is larger than the planes. The building acts like an oven for the plane. The planes and the building contents have energy content in their materials of construction. I do not know the sequence of events for the air handling system in the building but think that it can be disregarded either on or off as I assume. The building has windows, floors, and walls that trap infared energy. Also, the same and still air insulate the fire such that little heat is released, a near adiabatic situation.

OK, the plane comes into the building, compresses into a mass, and starts to burn which starts fires on several floors. Some of the fuel also remains to burn. Numerous steel and iron components of the plane and building burn. A buring mass of this weighing a sizable fraction of the plane’s mass along with collected building debris is located somewhere in the building mostly on two or three floors. The plane is no more. The building contents to include people is also in a mass with the plane. Aluminum from the outside of the building and the plane is in this mass. Aluminum will burn when hot enough to form aluminum oxide.

Thermite is formed in the mix ( just in case the burning contents, burning fuel, burning plane, burning muslims, and such is not hot enough for you ). Iron yet unoxidized, aluminum yet unoxidized, recently formed rust from the fire, and recentlty formed aluminum oxide is all in the mix. Molten aluminum and other molten metal with low melting points are flowing around. Depending on some complex chemistry, chemical reactions are forming carbon from the building, plane, and maybe even the fuel where the air is not sufficient for complete combustion. Carbon can strip oxygen from metal oxides. Air is beinging supplied but probably not enough for full combustion. The mass is insulated by the outer layers of the mass which probably included sheet rock walls and concrete. The net result is a two or three floor tall mixed metal blast furnace weighing at least as much as 50% of the plane’s pre crash mass. The heat being generated is intense and is not getting released as fast as it is being generated. It will travel the path of least resistence which is through any metal conductors which happen to have been exposed by the impact and blast. Of course, convection is removing some heat with the air being exhausted. Radiation and conduction heat are the main trapped heat. Convection is also working to heat the floors near the fire as the hot blast tries to exit the building.

These hot building components provide the real danger to the building, preheated air. As air flow patterns change during the fires progress, incoming cool air is heated by hot building and plane structures. Pre-heated air makes for a very hot fire.

These structures get hot enough to burn, combine with oxygen. The resulting rust reacts with carbon, other melted metals, or aluminum. I conjecture that the process is self supporting and self promoting as long as heat and air are supplied.

Heat does not require oxygen for its production. However, the air was not excluded. Investigators have just concentrated on the fire and not the other possible sources of heat. I think a very hot mass was formed and became a molten mix of all contents not just metal. Once the molten mass was formed the heat was high enough to slag the floors, the mass and the other debris around consummed the floor and or simultanously fell through the heat weakened floor and started the pancaking of the floors.

I am not a mechanical engineer and even if I was I would need to have knowledge of how the outside of tall buildings is held up by the core to comment on the method of collapse after the first floor fell. Wether the floors could have brough down the core and the walls or just the walls leaving a standing core. Some core stood I think.

Much is obscured by dust during the collapse. If infared video could be had of it much would be resolved. Maybe some of the video had infared capability. If one acceptable, sensible explanation can be presented that explains the collaspe without the need for detonations controlled by Cheney and Bush, that explanation should be the end of all the anti-American, anti-authority, anti-thinking accusations about detonations. Yep, exsplosives could have taken them all down. I just do not think so.

      • libertytrain

Old Money Bags – I hadn’t heard this said quite so easily to understand and so logical for me to grasp. Thanks for taking the time to explain.

        • Old_Money_Bags

You are welcome. I do not have the information needed to do an actual analysis. I may be wrong in some quesses. For example, how the plane debris compacted and collected. However, a fire like the 911 fire is not just any old fire.

          • http://?? Joe H.

            Old Money Bags,
Not mentioned is the fact that as the building was consumed it would act like a chimney fire cold air brought in at the bottom and exhausted almost under pressure at the top!!

    • DaveH

The thing that confuses me is the very orderly way the buildings came down. Before you start ragging on me, know that my jury is out. I am no Truther. But when those airplanes hit the buildings in such an asymmetrical way, I would expect the buildings to collapse to one side or the other and cause much damage to the surrounding area.

      • http://gunner689 gunner689

It’s called gravity. things, including buildings, tend to fall straight down. I don’t know what’s so hard to understand. The shock of the plane impacting and the heat generated by the burning fuel and bldg. materials weakened the intergity of the steel supports. This caused the top floors to collapse onto the lower floors, like dominos toppling. Were the planes flying into the Towers holograms ? If so were did all the passangers dissapear to ? Where the American Gvt. was to blame was in the pathetic job of handling the intellegence about the pending attacks. This problem can be laid dircectly at the door step of Clinton, Reno, and Jammie Gorelick (who by the way, instead of being questioned by the investigative committee about her “wall of silence”, was one of the investigators.) All this was done to cover up Clinton’s traitorus activities.

        • DaveH

Do you really think that was a valid retort to my comment?

      • Old_Money_Bags

One building did lean at the top before it fell. That caused its heap to be slightly unsymmetrical. If I have the correct heap connected with the leaning building in my memory.

        • DaveH

          Video of the event:
          http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVhhu5OjMf8
The sheep can believe what they want. I find it very difficult to believe that a building (second tower) could come straight down after a very asymmetrical hit near the middle of the building. That makes light of all the effort demolition teams make to assure that surrounding buildings are not affected by a demolition effort.

One thing which upsets me is the report I heard that evacuating people were told to go back to their jobs as things were supposedly stabilized. I feel bad for the poor people who listened to that advice.

          • libertytrain

I too felt sympathy and sadness for the folks that just listened and went back to their desks. I wish they would have just left – however, it’s hard to blame those that told them to go back to their offices in some respects – kind of like the Titanic – hitting the ice – no one expected such a magnificent creation to sink…No one would have probably considered that the first building would fall – and probably didn’t even consider evacuating till the second building was hit. I’m not sure who to blame on sending them back to their offices. I like to think I would have left the building but I don’t know what demeanor was going on after the first hit inside the building.

      To jopa,

I take it that you believe in the miracle of TWO airplanes demolishing THREE buildings.Cool.

I just think that Muslims are perfectly hateable without invoking a miracle. Why to complicate the matter?

Though sometimes I wander if those hateful Muslims at some point will be the only staying power against the dictatorship of the global NWO. Muslims are stubborn and are ready to due for their ideology no matter what.

      • Old_Money_Bags

I do not know enough about Bldg. 7 to explain its destruction. All fires are unique. A fire at the top and in the middle of a damaged building is the most dangerous for heat extremes. If building 7 was demolished for some reason after it was damaged what do I care. Maybe there was a good reason. Did anyone die in 7? If not, it was just a building, not a national landmark going down.

Tell me why 7 had to be destroyed to further the conspiracy?

        • Leo

“If building 7 was demolished for some reason after it was damaged what do I care. Maybe there was a good reason.”

I do not care about a building demolition somewhere either. In general.

Unfortunately to demolish a building the way it was done to the building 7 is a complicated demolition job which requires months of preparations to be accomplished.

So, if THEY managed to unobtrusively prepare regarding the #7 it is logical to assume THEY did it regarding all THREE building.

          Why?

          Now I do care!

There were some archives of the FBI implicating Bush the senior in some shady dealings for a start.
Though it is really irrelevant to the engineering miracle issue.

    • Karolyn

I am so sick of the TV ads and the slick mailers the Republican Support groups are mailing out – wasting so much money that there is no way I would vote for a Republican even though I have thought of it.

      • Kate8

Karolyn – Heavens, no! Keep voting for democrats. They would never waste our money.

So, let me get this straight. You’re okay with the democrat ads, but the republican ones are a waste of money?

Doesn’t this money come from political donations for the purpose of the campaign? How else would you propose they do it?

BTW, only liberal/progressive groups get government funding. Conservatives are on their own. A fact which I find most infuriating.

        • Karolyn

Kate – No one really knows where the money is coming from, but you can bet it’s corporate money being funneled through all these new campaign groups. I have gotten no slanderous mail from the Democratic side. The Repubs have more money to spend, so the TV ads here are over the top. For every Democratic ad there are 2-3 Repub. I’m just sick of it. Don’t try to tell me they’re any better than anyone else. As a friend of mine said yesterday – If you put a person in with certain types of people, he is apt to take on the traits of those people, be it politicians, inmates, etc.

          • Kate8

Karolyn, dear, you are so terribly naieve.

If you don’t think the democrats get huge amounts of corporate money, I don’t know where you’ve been. Plus, democrat money has long exceeded that of republicans. Perhaps since Soros cut them off it’s been tough for them. He didn’t want to throw money to a losing campaign, but rest assured, he’s got other plans.

Democrats have blasted the airwaves with their smear campaining. I’ve see quite a bit of it here. TV ads cost a whole lot more than mailers. And have a greater impact.

          • Karolyn

Well, here there’s a lot more Republican ads. They are sponsored by all sorts of new groups who don’t have to reveal their sources. Ever since Congress said it was OK for corporate to give money to campaigns as long as it didn’t go directly to the candidate, these groups have sprung up. I saw a piece on TV where the reporter tried to find out where one of the group’s money came from and they wouldn’t tell him.

          • Kate8

Karolyn, All I can say is, if campaign ads are what you are basing your vote on, heaven help us.

It would be much more prudent to do some (unbiased) research into the candidate’s personal history, voting record…you know, something that gives you an idea about what they stand for. They don’t write their own campaign ads, anyway.

Obviously, those of you who voted for Obama are just all about the hype and the glitter, rather than the substance and true intent of the person.

No wonder we keep getting these commies and socialists elected.

  • Rennie

All the scanning and patting is just treating a symptom rather than the disase. Likewise, this fellow sacrificing his career (unless he can start his own charter service), will amount to nothing, if other means of mass transit begin to rival the airlines the airlines will simply insist those industries radiate and grope their passengers as well. Or you could use the Gen. Pershing method of dealing with fanatical extremists who are not afraid to die, unless their death is in a way that bars them from their paradise in the next world. Which libtards will tell us would be more inhumane then blowing up airliners full of innocent men, women and children. Twenty years in jail visiting with their religous leaders is hardly a deterrent, especially when they will probably be released sooner. If apprehended and convicted in the first place.

someone told me the airlines are relining their passenger seats with pig skins. that sounds like a winner to me, the rag heads will ban themselves from flying.

The big area for lighting a torch for a revolution, is the government pensions and the non stop give aways for Congress and welfare rats. When the marxist muslim moron and colleges thinks education is the answer, if someone wants to go to college, work, save and pay your own damn way. Professors are some of the most overpaid slime balls to collect taxpayers money, and have produced nothing productive, livestock produces the same stuff as professors, but the carcass is a product for consumption. Taxpayers don’t need to pay pus gutted degreed government wonks or any state dink, 95% of their salaries as a retirement. Unless it is their starting wage. Of course the beltway dorks will keep the same high dollar saleries and perks till they die. These salaries and perks should end when they get booted to the curb.

yep. paid too much too long for too little.

      • DaveH

        For sure.

It seems to me that the people in charge of our military industrial complex and security state, love radical Islam as they have profited so handsomely from it. Terrorism has been a tremendous boon to profits and profits come first in the corporate state.

In Illinois, we have a Libertarian candidate and a Green Party candidate. The mainstream news media here in Illinois never mentions these parties nor their candidates. These candidates do not receive any coverage, ever. The average person does not even know the names of these candidates or anything about them. But the mainstream media sure covers the Democrats and the Republicans. Talk about bias, talk about unfair advantages. This makes me ill.

    • DaveH

I can’t speak for the Green Party, Claire, but the Libertarians would be anathema for both Big Government loving Democrats, and for Big Government loving Republicans, so the major parties do their best to shut off the voices of the Libertarians.
You might wonder – Why would the MSM want to silence Libertarians? What’s in it for them? At least three things. They depend on Government for a lot of their information, so they don’t want to piss them off. They share a lot of the power that results from Big Government. And most of all, Libertarians believe in Free Markets. Very few Fat Cat Corporate owners (that includes News Corporations) want to have their big incomes subject to the risks of Free Market Competition.

      • DaveH

I couldn’t find any Libertarians on this list, Claire, but one of the Greens actually got a B– from Gunowners.org

DaveH–Thanks for posting this link. I looked at it, and I wondered where Bill Brady (R) is? He is running for governor.

    claire

the green party is communist orientated.

    • Claire

chuck b– Oh. Communist-oriented? Geez, where is my brain–Now I feel dumb. But I honestly had never heard that-probably because they receive no attention at all.

    • Old_Money_Bags

eat up with them especially in Europe. They hate industry and corporations. They use environmental laws, environmental regulations, fear, and political tactics to destroy manufacturing and free market capitalism.

I would like to make a comment about 9/11. There is a website (www.JonMcNaughtonArt.com) that shows in videos of a plane going into one of the World Trade Ceenter towers. It shows a shadow of something going into the tower and an explosion afterward before the planes fusealage went into the building. They are saying that possibly a missel was fired from the plane into the tower before the plane went into the tower. Also, whoever photographed the building said that was not one of our normal planes and the lettering on the side was one that no one was familar with. Also, the underneat of the plane was different than our regular airplanes. On the subject of the Muslims, it says in the Koran, their bible that we are the infidels, especially Christians & Jews. Also, they multiply in numbers quicker than our own people do and therefore will be the ruleing people in our country in 20 years or more. They will try to turn our laws into Sharia law which is what they want to do to the whole world. They tried to do this in Austriala and the prime minister there told the Muslim population there that this country was founded on Cristian values and that if they did not want to abide by secular law of the land that they had the right to leave just like they had the right to come here. If we as Americans allow them to do what the Muslim taxis drivers in Minnespolis are doing and turn our cheeks they will take over.
