The Politics Behind The Immigration Reform Movement

The elected class is as dishonest as the day is long. Its sole desire is to gain and hold its parasitic existence and sit at the seats of power. Until you realize this, you will never break the bonds of conventional wisdom and understand what’s going on behind the scenes.

To the average person, the political class can be a conundrum. How, most people will ask, can a politician say during election time he is for or against a particular thing or policy in an effort to gain favorability among the electorate and then, once he’s elected, do an about-face and say or do the exact opposite? The answer is very simple. Politicians — with few exceptions — owe their existence to the moneyed elites. You cannot try to rationalize their actions with logical or moral behavioral standards. Those rules do not apply to them.

Members of the political class are often treated as if they have achieved some special standing based on the positions they hold. But remember, they hold their elected positions solely because they are good at closing a sale, have a charming smile and can turn a phrase. They are most often gregarious and outgoing and charming. They do not necessarily have greater than average intelligence (see Joe Biden), but they are good liars because they are emotionally shallow, have an inflated sense of self-worth, are egotistical and lack empathy. In short, most of them are psychopaths lacking any morality whatsoever.

The elites bankroll their campaigns and promise them lucrative seats on boards of major corporations once they have used up their political capital. In return, the elected class must sell their souls to the moneyed elites and promise to do their bidding when it’s time to pass new laws or begin new programs. They happily do this because power and prestige are their primary motivators.

The elected class lose their political capital only when they grow old and senile or transgress the bounds of normal decorum (i.e, get caught in a sexual, financial or political scandal) so egregiously that they become toxic or when the electorate becomes so agitated by their continued lies and turnabouts that they come out en masse to vote against them. Oftentimes, even this is overcome through voter fraud and manipulation; but occasionally the bums are thrown out on their collective ears. They then move on to their job-in-waiting and receive six- and seven-figure salaries to continue hobnobbing with their old buddies and to pass around more political graft in exchange for legislation that benefits the companies they represent.

The immigration reform movement is case in point. Notice there is a bipartisan movement to grant amnesty to illegal aliens. You might ask yourself why this is. Why would a gang of eight Senators — and “gang” is the operative word — with supposedly disparate political philosophies band together to craft a bill that will destroy America and then go on record as trying to get their 92 cohorts to pass it? Why would they also try to sell it to the American people as being beneficial to the country when common sense tells you that is not so?

The changing demographic resulting from giving voting rights to millions (some same say as few as 10 million to as many as 30 million) of collectivist-minded individuals — most of them from Third World countries and who align with the Democrat Party’s stated socialist, wealth-redistributionist policies — will destroy the Republican Party’s chances of winning national elections for decades. It will also be the final nail in the coffin of republicanism and will cement socialist/fascism as America’s future. So why would Republicans agree to such a thing?

The answer is the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and businesses in manufacturing, construction and food service and their lobbying organizations. They are backing this bill because it will provide for businesses millions of legitimate workers content with slave wages. And as Pat Buchanan points out: “U.S. corporations and agribusiness also want the right to import foreign workers. And under this new immigration bill, H1-B visas for highly skilled engineers and computer programmers will double to 110,000 a year, and the cap can rise to 180,000. Visas for H-2A agricultural workers will go to 337,000 over three years.”

In addition to gaining millions of new prospective Democrat voters, Democrats support granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens because the labor unions do. Labor unions, the Democrat Party’s sugar daddy, have seen their memberships decline and are desperate to find more dues-paying workers to enslave. More dues is more money to prop up the cushy lifestyles of the union’s leadership and to use to keep their tickets to the White House policy-making sessions.

Obama has turned immigration policy over to the National Council of La Raza. His director of the Domestic Policy Council and face of his immigration policy is Cecilia Muñoz, a former lobbyist for La Raza. And according to Chris Crane, the head of the National ICE Council, the union representing Immigration and Customs Enforcement, LaRaza agents are embedded in ICE and setting their policies, many of which are now prohibiting them from doing their jobs. The immigration bill also gives unprecedented authority to the Department of Homeland Security Director, Janet Napolitano. For his part, Obama believes ICE agents are terrorists.

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VN_GO3YAdEA&w=420&h=315]

La Raza is an Hispanic separatist/supremacist organization that has advocated for blanket amnesty, open borders and the establishment of a separate area or State in the southwest populated solely of Latinos and free of Caucasians. The motto for La Raza, Spanish for “The Race,” is “For the Race, everything, outside the Race… Nothing!”

According to the Heritage Foundation, granting amnesty — which is the primary purpose of the bill, despite protests to the contrary — to the estimated 11 million illegal aliens will cost taxpayers at least $6.3 trillion.

Overall, the immigration bill accomplishes a much larger goal: the de facto elimination of the southern boundary, a goal of the globalists. The leaders of the United States, Canada and Mexico have been working toward eliminating North American borders for several years.

This is but one step toward one-world governance, a major goal of the elite world power brokers.

Once again, you might ask why American politicians would support such a thing. They all believe they are entitled to and destined for prime seats in the halls of power in the new world order. They are perfectly content with that to the detriment of their own country and its Constitution, which they swore to uphold.

gullible white people. all politics is ethnic politics. this is not an ideological battle of left vs right, GOP vs Dems, Socialism vs liberty. This is war against White people.

Why do hostile globalist elite defend Israel as a Jewish ethnostate with Jewish only immigration, but ravage White majority Europe/North America into a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural Gulag with dystopian non-White colonization?

East Asia is 99% yellow. Africa is 90% Black. West Asia is 99% Brown. But 3rd world colonizers, Muslims, Sikhs, Hispanics, are aggressively advancing their agenda by annihilating gullible Whites, just as China annihilates Tibet.

How long will gullible Whites cuckold for murderous anti-White elite, who confiscate our guns, infiltrate/subvert our banks/FBI/CIA, indoctrinate White kids in academia/mass media, plunder White jobs/wages, & butcher White soldiers in bankrupting wars?

“Native” Americans invaded from East Asia. Yellow & Brown races committed 10-times more genocide, slavery, imperialism than Whites. Since Old-Testament, Whites have been victims of Jewish/Crypto-Jewish, Turkic, Muslim, N.African imperialism, slavery, genocide.

Gullible Whites should reject subversive anti-White ideologies – libertarianism, feminism, liberalism, & reject hostile slanders of racism. Love to all humanity, but White people must organize to advance their interests, their fertility, their homelands. Spread this message. • KG

How do you get the burned wood smell out of your white robes? I guess blowing up small country black churches is “honorable”? Man, get a life. John Lennon said “better recognize your brothers – everyone you meet.”

      • hippybiker

So when the other races stand up for them selves, they are engaged in brotherhood. But, when white people stick up for ourselves, were racist KKK members. KG, you are a useful idiot and a dull tool. Bow down and kiss Barry’s feet, and when racist LaRaza thugs cut your throat, die in amazement at how stupid you really are.

        • Trav

You got it. When these mutt breeds stand up for their race it is brotherhood just like you said, with whites it is racism…..it is clear as day but everybody seems to be okay with that …..including most purebreds ..I dont get the stupidity.

        • KG

Spoken like a true Christian brother!

Well we know what group you particularly hate, KG. You love everybody except the Christians. What a racist you are.

          • Kinetic1

Pointing out the hypocrisy displayed by many who espouse Christianity is hardly stating your hate for Christianity in general.

          • JeffH

Hmmmm, when the anti-Christian comments become a daily ritual for some, it’s clearly hate. Even you, Kinetic1, should be smart enough to see it…if you really want to.

          • Nadzieja Batki

What you are afraid of is Christians taking a stand and saying NO to Dems/Progs/Leftists pushing for phony touchy feeling entitlement programs. So know you accuse them of hypocrisy. What you want is Christians to be stupid and to be fleeced by the human predators of the Left.

How does one become a “True” Christian per the Book???

          • Chuck Lee

Becoming a “True Christian per the Book” is as simple as reading the Book and seeing the process for yourself. Jesus said that He came into this world to save the world and He gives the process in His dialog with Nicodemus in the 3rd chapter of the Gospel of John – with an excellent illustration referring to the 21st chapter of the Book of Numbers (Old Testament) to show us just how easy (that is to say, uncomplicated) it is to be save – which, according to the Book, is what being a Christian is. Believing in Jesus, or believing on Him unto salvation, is not simply “believing” in the sense of intellectually acquiescing, or acknowledging His existence, but wholly and completely trusting and depending on His death, burial and resurrection as the complete “propitiation” for all sin, and provision for your salvation as a free gift from God. “The wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” That’s in the book of Romans 6:23. It’s important to read these Scriptures for yourself, so that you can know for yourself that by your total and complete trust in Christ’s finished work on the cross, you have God’s Word that He loves YOU, and He forgives YOU, and He has made YOU “accepted in the beloved,” and you are indeed, passed from death unto life. In the 5th chapter of John’s Epistle (not the Gospel of John), is where you can see that what I have just shared with you is a matter of RECORD, and there John tells us that this was the reason why God inspired him to write those words. As a matter of fact, In Johns Gospel (20:31) he tells us why the entire Gospel of John was written – that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, and that by believing, you might have life in HIS name. Religions may tell you different, but being a Christian is just – that – simple ! ! ! .

          • Bob666

            Yo Charile,
Not only do you need to grow up, but you need a life as well.

          • Chuck Lee

Actually Acts 2:38 was Peter’s answer to the crowd of devout Jews who had just learned that they had just crucified their Messiah. Please note that “Men and brethren, what shall we do?” Is NOT the same question as in Acts 16:29, “…what must I do to be saved?…” To appropriate salvation (be saved) THE answer to the jailer’s question is in verse 31, “…Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you SHALL be saved…” Any other verse or verses of Scripture that seem to say different, or seem to add to it, is simply being taken out of context and wrong. It is by GRACE we are saved, through FAITH, and that not of ourselves – it is the GIFT of God, not of works lest any man should boast. The Apostle Peter confirms by saying that we rejoice with joy unspeakable. Why? Because we have received the end (the end result) of our faith – which is the salvation of our souls.

        • WTS/JAY

Frankly, it is racist, not to report it. Barack Obama and Eric Holder are the blame for creating divisions between Americans, and that is intentional on their part.

    • brunswickm

      Right On!

      • podunk1

We’re missing the silver bullet – COST OF AMNESTY!

COST OF AMNESTY VS ENFORCING CONSTITUTION AND LAW IS $1.2 to $2.2 TRILLION/YR!
        Over a 60 yr adult lifetime it’s $72 to $132 trillion

Because the Heritage report doesn’t include the existing cost of illegal alien criminals, and just added costs of amnesty, the $6.3 trillion “lifetime cost” numbers grossly understate the full cost of amnesty vs. enforcing the law and Constitution as it exists! It appears reasonable within the limited cost areas included.

The existing cost begins with 20 to 23 million jobless citizens. I used $43,500 average wage from a government source that recently disappeared from Google. However, the National indexing series is still out there, and 2011 is $42,980 and that is just 1.2% away from a 2012 $43,500! Wikipedia’s $42,050 avg.US wage is reasonably close. Wikipedia has a far more pertinent $54,450 for 2011 that reflects average worker earnings plus employer costs of paying that wage (FICA, U/C comp, worker comp, etc) Wikipedia’s added costs are just under 30%, which is absolutely reasonable! The point is, when the job is lost to criminal cash pay employers, the wage and all taxes are lost! The lost wage per year is $599 billion @ 11 million and $1.1TRILLION @ 20 million jobless citizens!

Instead of producing, earning wages, and paying taxes, the jobless are on unemployment, welfare, SNAP, and every other benefit designed to boost citizens above the $23, 000 poverty levels. According to the “news media”, the Boston Bomber received $100,000! Using an extremely conservative $20,000/yr , that cost is $220 billion @ 11 million and $400 billion @ 20 million!

The total minimum cost of unemployment is $819 billion @ 11 million and $1.5 trillion @ 20 million. Joblessness affects all levels of “wage earners” and wealth!

Heritage acknowledges the fact that illegal aliens are collecting citizen benefits, but fail to recognize it’s a criminal employment conspiracy to loot citizen benefits, destroy the free competitive labor market, siphon incredible billions of treasury revenue into criminal hands, and drive legitimate businesses and workers into bankruptcy. A recent ludicrous amnesty advocate claim of $35 billion profit from amnesty because someone claimed labor pay rates dropped $437 billion and the “cost” of aliens was only $402 billion! Anyone knows consumer prices are up, quantity is down, and criminals are criminals! There is no “savings”. The cost is $36,546 each @11 million invaders. Total cost is $400 billion @ 11 million and $731 billion @ 20 million!

AMNESTY cost is around $1.2 trillion @ 11 million to $2.2 trillion per year, essentially buried in a poisoned economy that has 20 million jobless citizens and 11 to 30 million criminal invaders working and putting citizens out of work.

We don’t need a PHD to figure this out –The math is simple. The reaction to thieves in the pantry and at the table while family goes hungry should be instinctive! This nation will turn around and start being solvent the minute we enforce Constitution and law! The 8 gangsters know that what they’re doing is treason! Hold them accountable!

Note: Huffington & Washington Post(s) $26,363“median wage” on Google, is not a weighted average!

        PASS IT ON!

        • podunk1

11 TO 30 MILLION CRIMINAL INVADERS WORKING IN AN EXPANDING SLAVE INDUSTRY WITHIN THE US VS. 20 MILLION JOBLESS CITIZENS ISN’T REGISTERING!

Those outrageous costs are imbedded in our VERY SICK ECONOMY! UNEMPLOYMENT AFFECTS ALL LEVELS OF EMPLOYMENT AND THE JOB LOSSES ARE AFFECTED BY LEGAL ALIEN WORKERS TOO!

Failing to consider lost citizen income and tax revenues plus going on taxpayer paid subsistence, PLUS the cost to subsidize criminal invaders and criminal underground employers of on-the-run aliens!

WAKE UP, start paddling or drown! Make legislators accountable for the full cost of $1 to $2+ trillion every year, not $6 trillion over a lifetime.

    • Trav

As long as the “elected class” tows your boat, you are OK with their “parasitic existence”. Who did Amnesty the first time? Oh, the paragon of “right wing moralists” , the Gipper. And why? To flood the labor market with cheap labor to help destroy Unions. And what happened? Well, many came to America and found good jobs – in Unionized shops. And then, when they joined the Union, they started voting Democrat. That’s why the business elite “parasites” hate immigration. Oh, and also because they “look” different from us.

First of all, the Gipper may have signed the amnesty bill, but the agreement was to close the borders in exchange. The dems reneigned on that right off the bat.
Secondly, the unions and nonunion employers were too eager to turn a blind eye to an employees status, after all for the unions that meant more dues, for the employers-higher profits.
Thirdly, if the intent was to destroy the unions, then it failed. The unions were eager to incorporate them into their numbers.
And, last but not least, the business elite “parasites” were a chief resource for these illegals and they are the ones screaming for more immigrants.
And, don’t you think the “Look different from us” a bit out of line?

Take the Reagan Amnesty Pop Quiz!

With the controversial proposal by President Bush to legalize millions of Illegal Aliens, there have been numerous references to the Illegal Alien Amnesty passed by Congress and signed by President Reagan in 1986.

The 1986 legislation for the legalization of Illegals was part of a major immigration reform bill, which was appropriately titled the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. The relevant portion of the legislation that we commonly refer to as the Reagan Amnesty fell under Title II, Section 201. Legalization of Status.

So, I read Section 201, and thought it might be fun to write a pop quiz for Freepers, so that you could test your knowledge of how the Reagan Amnesty worked.

      Ready?

      Eyes on your own papers.

      Reagan Amnesty Pop Quiz

      1. The Reagan Amnesty granted a blanket Amnesty to Illegal Aliens.

      2. The Reagan Amnesty granted automatic citizenship to Illegal Aliens.

      3. The Reagan Amnesty granted citizenship to some Illegal Aliens.

      4. The Reagan Amnesty granted automatic permanent residence (green cards) to Illegal Aliens.

      5. The Reagan Amnesty granted immediate permanent residence (green cards) to some Illegal Aliens.

      6. The Reagan Amnesty was granted to Illegal Aliens, free of charge.

      Bonus Question:

The Reagan Amnesty mentions the word “Amnesty.”

      Double Secret Bonus Question:

The word “Amnesty” is mentioned in the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.

Reagan Amnesty Pop Quiz – Answer Sheet

      1. The Reagan Amnesty granted a blanket Amnesty to Illegal Aliens.

      FALSE

The Reagan Amnesty wasn’t for all Illegal Aliens, there were many requirements that had to be met for Illegals to be eligible. Among them were certain residency requirements, no felony convictions, less than three misdemeanor convictions, medical examinations, etc. They can be found in the following subsection:

“Sec. 245A. (a) Temporary Resident Status.–The Attorney General shall adjust the status of an alien to that of an alien lawfully admitted for temporary residence if the alien meets the following requirements:

      2. The Reagan Amnesty granted automatic citizenship to Illegal Aliens.

      FALSE

As seen above in Section 245A., the adjustment of status for Illegal Aliens was to admission for “temporary residence.”

      3. The Reagan Amnesty granted citizenship to some Illegal Aliens.

      FALSE

Again, as seen above in Section 245A., the adjustment of status for Illegal Aliens was to admission for “temporary residence.”

      4. The Reagan Amnesty granted automatic permanent residence (green cards) to Illegal Aliens.

      FALSE

Once again, as seen above in Section 245A., the adjustment of status for Illegal Aliens was to admission for “temporary residence.”

For permanent residence requirements, one must go to Section 245(b):

“(b) Subsequent Adjustment to Permanent Residence and Nature of Temporary Resident Status.–

The adjustment to permanent residence for legalized Illegals wasn’t “automatic,” they had to be legalized as temporary workers first, and subsequently adjusted to permanent status. For adjustment to permanent status, the legalized-Illegal had to apply between eighteen and thirty months after being granted his temporary residence, under Section 245(b).1.A.

      5. The Reagan Amnesty granted immediate permanent residence (green cards) to some Illegal Aliens.

      FALSE

And yet again, as seen above in Section 245A., the adjustment of status for Illegal Aliens was to admission for “temporary residence.”

Same 245(b)(1)(A) applies: requirements for all Illegals adjusted to temporary residence, as seen above at Question #4, before being granted permanent residence.

      6. The Reagan Amnesty was granted to Illegal Aliens, free of charge.

      FALSE

Illegal Aliens had to pay a fee to be legalized as temporary residents, under Section 245(c)(7)(A) :

      “(7) Application fees.–

“(A) Fee schedule.–The Attorney General shall provide for a schedule of fees to be charged for the filing of applications for adjustment under subsection (a) or (b)(1).

      Bonus Question:

The Reagan Amnesty mentions the word “Amnesty.”

      FALSE

Do the word search on Title II, Section 201 yourself.

Or scroll below, where I’ve posted the entire Section of the legislation that is devoted to Legalization of Status for Illegal Aliens.

      Double Secret Bonus Question:

The word “Amnesty” is mentioned in the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.

      FALSE

Go ahead; search every Title and Section of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.

The Reagan Amnesty didn’t call itself an Amnesty, anywhere in the legislation.

YES, Our Nation is under attack from within; obama, the democratic party, unions and other ignorant politicians, and we are being mostly silent.
Ever notice how the noisey, aggressive, demonstrating leftist ‘gimme’ people are getting the grease for their squeaky wheels?
Morality and individual responsibility are nonexistant in their mentality.
Those of us who believe in the Constitution and self responsibility and the Laws of the Land had better wake up and speak up and stand up to oppose the destruction of America.
That’s the biggest problem; conflict with the ‘takers and gimme’ right is contrary to our mentality, political correctness and desire for moral behavior.
We NEED to make noise, be aggressive, demonstate to get some of the grease that can save this Country. Do we have it in us? We are being slaughtered in our silence and obama is laughing while he twists the knife deeper into us.

    • GRusling

You need to take a closer look at the “Republican” party, because the leadership is promoting the same things the “left” is promoting. With very few exceptions (known as Constitutionalists) the right is only marginally better than the left. It just wants to kill us with a slower poison!

The pendulum appears to be swinging back toward constitutional government, but it’s barely beginning and we need to pay attention. Not everyone who CLAIMS to be for such government is truly our friend. Remember the “BUSH” administration gave us the so-called “Patriot Act” and very little 20th century legislation was more UNCONSTITUTIONAL than that monstrosity!

Don’t trust the Republican party. Pick and choose who you believe in…

      • http://www.facebook.com/CapitalistAtBirth Greg Murphy

It is actually less than half of the Republicans in the Senate that could be considered “Rockefeller Republicans”. I would guesstimate less than 20% in the House. What can you offer as a viable alternative to the Republican Party? Don’t try to promote the Libertarians who believe in open borders.

      • Irish1025

Amen Dead center on target! when making a choice of who to support in an election do not go for democrat OR republican they are opposite sides of the same coin. Carefully consider candidates who are genuine and want to restore America back to our constitution.

I normally don’t have too much issue with this site, however, this article was full of so many suppositions masquerading as fact or common sense that it was a waste of my precious time. Never mind that the economy in the US has become so bad that the illegals are actually leaving faster than they show up. Don’t worry about the fact that farmers around the country have been screaming that any crops that need labor to pick are rotting in the fields, Georgia had a serious issue last year with this after their get tough on illegals laws. If I were you I would also really ignore history as well since the Golden Era of US economic growth was during a time of open immigration.

I have zero issue with having an honest discussion on this subject, but if your only complaints are going to be BS then why are we even talking about it?

    • http://personalliberty.com/ Bob Livingston

      Dear Sean Bell,

You write: ” this article was full of so many suppositions masquerading as fact or common sense that it was a waste of my precious time.” Please be specific and name the “suppositions masquerading as fact.”

You write: “Never mind that the economy in the US has become so bad that the illegals are actually leaving faster than they show up.” The prospect of amnesty will bring millions more across the border in the period between the law’s passage and implementation. The law also grants unlimited visas to the spouses, parents and children of those already here.

You write: “Don’t worry about the fact that farmers around the country have been screaming that any crops that need labor to pick are rotting in the fields, Georgia had a serious issue last year with this after their get tough on illegals laws” This has been shown to be a lie. In Alabama, the state offered to help pay for unemployed workers to pick the supposed rotting crops and got no takers from farmers. The truth is, farmers left their crops to rot because they didn’t want to pay a prevailing wage as demanded by the non-Hispanic potential workforce. http://www.fresnobee.com/2013/05/10/3295068/farm-labor-shortage-boosts-wages.html

You write: “I have zero issue with having an honest discussion on this subject, but
if your only complaints are going to be BS then why are we even talking
about it?” Your comment indicates you are not really ready for an “honest discussion.”

      • Chester

Bob, they were willing to pay any wage to get pickers, but no one wanted to do the WORK necessary to pick those crops. Any kind of fruit or vegetable picking IS hard work, and not a lot of people want to do stoop labor all day long, every day, for as long as the job lasts. I am willing to bet that you wouldn’t have gone out there and picked at the normal rate for a week, even if promised five hundred dollars a day. You scream about how immigrants are taking work from us, yet not many native born Americans are willing to do that type of work.

          Dear Chester Payne,

You write: “Bob, they were willing to pay any wage to get pickers, but no one wanted to do the WORK necessary to pick those crops.” Not true in Alabama.

You write: “I am willing to bet that you wouldn’t have gone out there and picked at the normal rate for a week, even if promised five hundred dollars a day.” Non sequitur.

You write: “You scream about how immigrants are taking work from us, yet not many native born Americans are willing to do that type of work.” Thank you for your unsupported liberal talking point.

            Dear Dave,

There was much caterwauling about crops rotting in the fields in September and October of 2011. There has been none since. Despite the claims of farmers who were upset because their illegal slave labor pool was fleeing the state, no farms went bankrupt and food prices did not rise any more than usual. There have been no claims since that crops are rotting in the fields. Outside of a few farmers who were stubbornly resisting raising their wages, it never happened. The truth is, in October, Gov. Bentley started a program to marry unemployed workers to jobs. But farmers didn’t post their jobs. “But as of Wednesday, while 335 people have signed up for seasonal agricultural jobs, only three employers have listed 48 openings — most of which don’t start until January, state officials said. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/10/27/alabama-tries-to-connect-jobless-residents-with-farm-jobs-finds-few-employers/#ixzz2TBsG4xuK

I want to see immigrants come here legally and we have every right to let and many or a few in as we wish. But lets not leave out the desire for US Businesses to make an extra dollar off the cheap labor. Hispanics are also more religious than other nationalities and they can just as easy be made to vote GOP if the GOP were smart enough not to blame them for the economic woes. But they are not that smart so like women, African-Americans… Hispanics will go democrat because they are slightly less sexist/ racist than the GOP. The smarter GOPers are seeing the writing on the wall. But conservatives are slow on the uptake… Which is why they can only fall back on nonsense like Benghazi for hope of winning national contests anymore. It sure is not their “big tent” policies that is for sure.

            Are you?

Everything in your articles has “Democrats are evil” then you come to paragragh 6-8. Really, this is a equal handed indictment of both parties? HA!

            ——

Really Bob? That is you taking the GOP to task? LOL. Ok Bob… Here is the reality.

Democrats-They do nothing about illegal immigration because it supports their corp masters and since the GOP have made illegals their scapegoats instead of dealing with the larger problem, the Dems are happy to accept the new voters.

The GOP- They do nothing on illegal immigration because it supports their corp masters and since they have scapegoated illegals, their only hope is to fired up the ultra-right conservatives base to get them out to vote.

Trouble is, the plan backfired in a major way on the GOP. So if the GOP want to win national elections again they either have to change (we all know how much conservatives love that now don’t we) or they have to make up a controversey like Benghazi because they cannot win on ideas since they have intentionally gone the “small tent” philosophy.

So you can try to pin illegal immigration on Democrats all you wish. It just flies in the face of reality. there is no illegal immigration “issue” unless US firms hire them. Both parties are equally involved but you would not know that from your narrative.

First, ou have to look at the REAL price of cheap labor and what it really costs the taxpayer for having an illegal immigrant in our country.

A farmer pays a minimum wage for picking his crop but it does not cost him any further. Now this is what the farmer is not responsible for:

            1) Medical costs…Mexicans go to the Emergency room and never pays for the care for his family or himself.

care to guess the annual cost for that and who ultimately pays?

            2) Education for the kids they bring: again costly and who pays?

            3) They file earned income credit refunds through the IRS and usually fraudently. Who pays?

            4) They commit hit and run accidents while drunk and slip off to their country. Again who pays?

            5) They never get medicals and subsequently spread diseases like Chagas and again, who pays?

            6) They apply for and get paid benefits with food stamps and other welfare assistance. Yo got it, who pays?

They are filling our prisons and cause damage with illegal gang activity.

They cost our country in billions and that “poor farmer” is paying only minimum wage. We the customer of the farmers are paying the big costs of doing business with illegals and overall there is no cost savings by hiring an illegal alien.

If farmers were forced to pay american labor costs for his harvest at a liveable rate, perhaps the national would be bown in the long run and American consumers would still be able to afford to eat, have a roof over his head and still pay taxes which illegals dp not. Sales tax? **LOL** these guys pool together at thrift shops and garage sales when they shop and most illegals cook their own food with chickens they bring in from Mexico.

The cost of amnesty would be even greater and I will pay a few dollars more if I knew that the money was keeping American workers housed and fed.

All the rest of this business about Mexicans are more religious is bunk!

Mr. Bob, I have a friend with a strawberry farm here in the south! I asked one day as I stopped to buy some berries how many of his pickers were Hispanic. He replied ” All of them. No black or white person around here will pick for what I can pay and make a profit”. I then asked what he would do if the Hispanics were no longer available. He replied that he would no longer grow strawberries because he was no longer young enough to do the “pickin” HIS WORDS!
We can stop the source of cheap farm labor if we are ready for 10 dollar tomatoes and 2 dollar strawberries?
Americans, even the moderately conservative ones, are not ready to pay that price! So the 2% ultra conservatives scream like banshees!
Mr. Livingston, you would have a better argument against those politicians who are NOT ultra conservative if it weren’t for American history! Since they created THE leading world power from a new piney woods NATION in less than two hundred years WITHOUT a single ultra conservative President , I can’t see your real grounds for protest. The Constitution never promised a perfect nation but it has produced a damned good one! It wasn’t an accident and it wasn’t from being “conservative” in foreign and domestic affairs!

Communism – A system of social organization in which all economic and social activity is controlled by a “totalitarian” state dominated by a single and ‘self-perpetuating’ political party.

Socialism – A political movement based on principles of socialism, typically advocating an “end to private property” and to the exploitation of workers.

I find it odd that an article on the Immigration bill from a personal liberty website spends the whole text ranting about how immigrants use their God-given liberties of choice and self-determination to choose our country, and then not spend so much as a sentence on what both parties slipped into this 800-page bill—a national biometric database of all adult US citizens. Please explain your priorities to me.

    • Nadzieja Batki

Sean Bell, you are not interested in PLD priorities. By the way make a distinction between immigrants that come here legally or come as thieves illegally.
Groups such as LaRaza do not belong in America, immigrants have done well without these groups and in fact have done better without these parasites attaching themselves to the people.

          • Katrael

Ted, it actually goes much farther back than that. You can go back at least to the time of Lincoln and farther if you want. The problem with identifying just when our liberties started to be eroded stems from the fact that we’ve been enslaved for so long and don’t recognize true liberty.

            An Editorial in the Czech Newspaper, ‘Prager Zeitung’ dated April 28, 2010 says it better than I could;
“The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency”. …..” The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a Fool. It is less likely to survive the multitude of Fools such as those who made him President”

    • Katrael

I agree. You may not like what I’m going to say next and I hope that you don’t believe that I mean this for all of those who are hard working, moral people, but this country got the president it deserves.
The very heart of this country is sick which reflects the president it elected. Obama isn’t the problem it’s the people who elected him and who elect the progressive minded criminals who have gained power in this country.

      • Liberty Lover

You are right. You and I and real Amricans did not get the President we deserve, but the foolish majority absolutely got the president they deserve and will pay the price along with those of us wise enough to see the incompetent pretender for the devil he is.

        • Katrael

I read your comment last night and wasn’t sure that it required a reply, but now as I sit and re-read your comment I get angry. I want to strike out at the liberal minded fools that occupy this country, but don’t exactly know how at this time? Voting seems useless, but we need to make our voices heard even if it seems useless.

I also sit here and wonder how this country got this way? The only conclusion I can come up with is that too many of us really are liberal in our nature. In other words: too many of us like a free ride no matter what it costs later. It doesn’t matter whether that free ride is free sex that turns into incurable disease later or murder of born or unborn human beings or whether it’s supposedly free money that turns this country into a second rate looser for a nation. This kinda reminds me of a feeding frenzy. .

  • Dave

This issue is today as it has always been is about money. The illegal immigrant trade is about the money the food business, service businesses can make because Americans will not do those jobs.

In AZ, the fear mongers here passed SB1070 and guess who complained the loudest? It wasn’t pro-immigrant groups, it was business groups that represented big agro, restaurants and the service industry. But what does our Gov not tell you? AZ has a private prison system where firms make money by filling beds. Guess who stands to make alot of money off filling those beds? 40-50K per person per year charged to the AZ tax payer… Members of the Gov’s staff.

    http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/2010-07-29/news/governor-jan-brewer-s-cca-ties-burn-like-neon-and-news-for-liberals-j-t-ready-s-still-a-neo-nazi/

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMcgXxzcBeY

So the conservatives get it two ways… They fire up the base by making illegal immigration a bigger issue than it is and then the line their pockets with the help of SB1070.

It seems to me Americans like their less expensive food, their less expensive yard maintenance etc but they hate having these people use any of our services while they are here. So its clear people need to make a choice, either pay people a decent wage and benefits and therefore, pay more for food and services or keep the system we have in place. The US Chamber of Commerce is a front group for Corp America and they fight stronger laws against illegal immigration for one reason. Money.

Now if Bob knows of Americans who are eager to line to go to Yuma and pick vegtables or maintain my yard and pool, please share… Because the job market is just not there for those jobs and those are the jobs the illegals that Bob is talking about are taking… They are not taking the high paying engineering, legal, and medical positions. But what do I know… I am just on the front lines. Bob writes from the ivory tower and needs stories like this to keep the inmates happy. He cites the racist Heritage Foundation who’s main thinktank member Jason Richwine says that “”No one knows whether Hispanics will ever reach IQ parity with whites, but the prediction that new Hispanic immigrants will have low-IQ children and grandchildren is difficult to argue against.” in this 2009 study. The Hertiage Foundation has been throughly discredited with their recent study in which he contends that illegal immigration will cost this country 6.3T for amnesty. A cost that assumes those people give nothing back to this country for the work they do, the services they purchase and the taxes they pay.

More dishonesty from the conservative right wing. Nothing new.

    • WTS/JAY

I’m not sure which of the two is the worse problem; illegal-immigrants or legal-ignoramuses…I was with you until you tried to make this a partisan-issue(Republicans). 19% Ground miantenance
            17% Construction
            12% Food prep and Service
            10% Production
These are all jobs that do not have favorable ratings by the Avg American. Common sense should tell you that there are not enough workers that are citizens to do the work required because they DO NOT WANT to do the work.
So far I have been priding details why others here excercise their right to an uninformed opinion which you have also Jay.

Dave: These are all jobs that do not have favorable ratings by the Avg American. Common sense should tell you that there are not enough workers that are citizens to do the work required because they DO NOT WANT to do the work.

Would this include all the Obama-suporters who cried tears of joy when Obama promised them “hope and change” and plenty of jobs? Let’s see, 77% of Americans voted for Obama, and you mean to tell me that not one of you is willing to roll up their sleeves and do an honest days work? What’s the matter with you people, are the wages too low, or do you consider the jobs to be beneath you? I know i know, much easier to walk to the mail-box and pick up a “check”, right?

        • jenelle

What is the source of these stats?

      • Karolyn

Because a majority of Americans are above that kind of work.

        • WTS/JAY

Nonsense! Would you refuse to do that kind of work, Karolyn? If you say yes, then there’s a very good chance that there a many many more Americans that would also be willing to do “that kind of work”, and do, that kind of work. If you say no, then you speak only for yourself and you should be ashamed of yourself!

          • Dave

            http://www.nytimes.com/roomfordebate/2011/08/17/could-farms-survive-without-illegal-labor/the-costs-and-benefits-of-a-raise-for-field-workers

Consumers who pay $1 for a pound of apples are giving 30 cents to the farmer and 10 cents to the farm worker; those spending $2 for a head of lettuce are giving 50 cents to the farmer and 16 cents to the farm worker.

If the influx of immigrant workers were slowed or stopped and farm wages rose, what would happen to expenditures on fresh fruits and vegetables? A case study from 1966 could give us some idea.

That year, the United Farm Workers union won a 40 percent wage increase for some table grape harvesters, largely because the end of the Bracero program had cut off a supply of Mexican workers. The average earnings of U.S. field workers were $10.07 an hour in 2009, according to a U.S.D.A. survey of farm employers. If pressure to verify employees’ legal status resulted in a labor crisis similar to the one in 1966 and a similar 40 percent wage increase, average hourly earnings would rise to $14.10. If this were passed on to consumers, the 10 cent farm labor cost of a pound of apples would rise to 14 cents, and the $1 retail price would rise to $1.04.

For a typical household, a 40 percent increase in farm labor costs translates into a 3.6 percent increase in retail prices. If farm wages rose 40 percent, and this wage increase were passed on to consumers, average spending on fresh fruits and vegetables would rise about $15 a year, the cost of two movie tickets. However, for a typical seasonal farm worker, a 40 percent wage increase could raise earnings from $10,000 for 1,000 hours of work to $14,000 — lifting the wage above the federal poverty line.

            ———-

Jay do you have anything besides empty rhetoric? Please tell me where I can find anyone anywhere that is looking for service work, picking food, etc.

This is example is what happens when illegals go away in the industries they have a heavy presense in, prices go up which is fine… Just don’t complain when they do

          • WTS/JAY

So what you’re saying is that you’d prefer that illegals do the menial-tasks for dirt-cheap wages instead of Americans, and if the illegals leave we’ll have to raise wages? Oh no, say it ain’t so! We can’t have Americans working for ideal-wages, no way! Best to keep the illegals and work them like dogs for sh*t money, that way, we can pay practically nothing for our produce and fruit…? Got ya, Dave! Not difficult at all to decipher your twisted and self-serving logic.

that is not a lie, that is a fact.

          • WTS/JAY

That is not a fact. That is an opinion! But let me guess Bob; you, Karolyn and the rest of the pro-Hispanics on this board do not include yourselves in this: “Because a majority of Americans are above that kind of work”, category. Am i right, Bob? It’s always this imaginary group of Americans that fall under that category, right? Hey, maybe Mitt Romney was right, after all…47% of Americans do absolutely nothing, find most jobs done by illegals beneath them and the wages too low. Hey, wait a minute, aren’t you people in essence agreeing with Mitt, when you yourselves state the exact, same thing; “the majority of Americans are dead-beats”???

          • Bob666

            Jay,

take a couple of deep breaths and chill out.

” pro-Hispanics on this board do not include yourselves in this: “Because a majority of Americans are above that kind of work”.

Two things that you need to understand about me Jay, First, I have worked since I was 14 years old and while my parents help me a bit in college, I basically paid for it on my own and have earned every dollar I have. I am told that I built a pretty successful company, but I will leave that to others to judge.

I am not pro-Hispanic, I am pro human being. There are lazy Americans as well as lazy everything else in this world.
Finally, I have worked for people from all over the world and have the same type of people work for me. I judge people by their efforts every day and the content of their character and that includes their work ethic and adherence to the golden rule.
I had hoped that you were above such petty crap, Perhaps I gave you too much credit?

          • WTS/JAY

Well, that’s a more balanced statement than: “Because a majority of Americans are above that kind of work”, that was posted by Karolyn to which you agreed. That’s all i was looking for, Bob; a fair and balanced statement!

          • Nadzieja Batki

So what is adding one more lie to all the other lies of the Leftists when they are Social Engineering the country to their ideology.

          • Bob666

            Well Nads,
That is here you have a problem. I am farther from the left the I am from the right. Are you so far off of the cliff that you can’t tell?

        • jenelle

Where is your source for this information or is it considered “common knowledge?”

  • Joz Lee

One thing is. Immigrants from other countries actually call it a ”BLESSING’ to come to America. They do their very best to live in that frame of mind. The issue of immigration and ‘illegals’ from Mexico is another fact.

  • Irish1025

More of the same, Big Corporate wanting slave laborers to fatten their bottom line. Americans as consumers have done this to themselves. How you might ask simple when we buy goods that are made in foreign countries because it is cheaper than American made products, we are in effect selling out to foreign countries. If you go to shop in any big box store (Wal Mart a prime example!) it is very difficult if not impossible to find a product made in America. Almost EVERYTHING is made in China. And also America used to be the bread basket of the world but due to policys that some call farm welfare America is importing food now. America used to be self sufficient we made our own goods and grew and produced our own food. But when Big Corporate figured out they could send jobs overseas and thereby line their pockets with fat bottom lines almost all manufacturing jobs were shut down and the factories moved overseas. Of Course when the federal government gives tax incentives to sweeten the deal it is no wonder why these well paying jobs vanished. Little by Little the middle class has been eliminated America is now a nation of rich and poor the middle class is all but gone. These large companies want to bring in these “illegals” for much cheaper wages. A prime example is our construction industry a industry that has been overrun with illegal workers. The homes that they build are no more than pre fabricated homes that sell easily for 200k-300k but guess what happens when a hurricane or tornado pass’s thru? The only thing that is left of the home, is the cement slab that is the foundation of that house. Would any of you want to buy something like this? no one in their right mind would! The Very next time you see on the tv scenes of devastation from a hurricane or tornado pay very close attention to the newer home’s and you will see exactly what I am talking about.

  • Bend Over

The Catholic Church in the United States is worried that same-sex marriage approval will be inserted into the new immigration reform bill. Other than that, the Church appears ready to endorse the bill. That’s the message I got a couple of weeks ago from the bishop in my diocese, in a letter to all the Catholics in Toledo, OH’s diocese. I hate to label the Church as useful idiots to this scheme, but it sure looks like they are on this issue.

    • http://www.facebook.com/CapitalistAtBirth Greg Murphy

The Roman Catholic Church has always leaned towards Communism/Socialism. They want to have more power over people in order to keep them ignorant and enslaved to the Church. Evil religion, almost as evil as Islam. The idea of forbidding a man or woman from partaking in natural biological function is insane and lead to cover of pedophiles and homosexuals in the Priesthood. I think the Roman Catholic Church is more a cult than a Christian Religion.

    • Vigilant

I would surmise that the church endorses the bill because it will bring a lot of good Catholics into the USA.

Not So Bill. The republicans would welcome them because they want to get richer off of them . If you have a construction business and you own a house wouldn’t it be far cheaper to hire a bunch of illegals and put them up in that house you have and charge them room and board to sweeten the deal even sweeter for yourself? Illegals make five dollars an hour for this type of work you have to admit that is a lot cheaper than hiring an American worker. Now do you see what americans are up against? with the economy as bad as it is, Americans can not get a job if they work in the construction industry because the illegals are taking our jobs.

      • Nadziaeja Batki

So in effect you are saying that the quality of the houses are CRAP.

        • Karolyn

          Why would that be?

        • Bob666

          Oh Nads,

Passive -Aggression is your way. I have been in the construction industry all of my life and the only thing that you said that is factual is track homes built today are crap and that has nothing to do with illegal labor.
Most of the Hispanic labor that I have seen on job site is comparable to any American born craftsman. From my observation -Hispanic labor works harder for what every pay they receive.

The American born youth that I see on construction projects with some exceptions, do not want to work hard.

          • WTS/JAY

Bob666: From my observation -Hispanic labor works harder for what every pay they receive. The American born youth that I see on construction projects with some exceptions, do not want to work hard.

I think you see what you want to see, Bob! That is not what i see…i see hard workers as well as lazy-dogs and that, from the Hispanic and, the American born! This “myth” that all Americans are lazy-slobs, and all Hispanics are hard-workers is a despicable lie!

          • Bob666

            Yo Jay,
Where are you located? I see something completely different and it’s not because that’s what I want to see.
Yes, there are lazy in both groups -but from my observations, those with a tan tend to work harder without any sense of entitlement.

          • WTS/JAY

            Bullsh*t!

          • Nadzieja Batki

Keep deluding yourself Bob666, when houses are crappily built it means that the skeleton of the house is crap and it is crappy work by people who you are making excuses for.

          • Bob666

            Deluding myself Nads ?
No, most track homes are built by rent-a-bums who are white, black and everything in between. But they are not the problem. The economics of construction is the problem along with “engineered” materials.

home are not built by trained craftsmen with quality products anymore and that is the reason why you have crap today.

        • Irish1025

That is exactly what I am saying! I live in an area where there is a lot of development we had a new home boom thru out our area these homes look great but they are very shoddy made. My husband was working for a fence company putting up vinyl fence around the new homes, they were getting ready to leave for the day when a tornado showed up they all jump in the truck and it is coming straight for them my husband tells his supervisor that he’s getting in the ditch so my husbands truck and my cousin’s work truck stops and all 6 of them jump into a drainage ditch. They saved their own lives by doing that . The family’s that were living in those home’s not so lucky a mother that had just got home was killed her daughter was injured but lived. The husband had come home to find almost all of their house gone. It looked like the whole area was bombed there were some homes that had some of the original structure left and there was homes where only the cement slab was left. These houses come mostly assembled it’s like putting together a lego home for lack of better wording! This is the very reason why most construction workers call them Death Traps. It’s shameful that in the name of profits that these people are losing everything.

      • jenelle

And minimum wage requirements are bad for the economy.

  • FreedomFighter

“10 million to as many as 30 million) of collectivist-minded individuals “
They are being used in more ways than just one to secure votes, used at a national level, used at state levels, and used at local levels. Government agency are seeding areas with illegal aliens to change vote results. Illegals are moved into an area of strong democrat resistance to change vote outcomes, the areas are redistricted and/or flooded with illegals, this has several effects.resisters moveillegals drain local resourcesillegals vote for democrats
The communists and NWO Luciferians have planned the takeover of America for a very long time and the plan is a full spectrum assault.

illegals also, pick your food, manicure your lawn, serve your food… they also pay sales tax for the goods and services they buy.
But please continue with the unsubstantiated conservative talking points and nonsense.

      • Ted Crawford

If they didn’t do all these things, they would be done by Americans, who in addition to sales tax, would be required to also pay Federal, State and Local Income Taxes!

        • Dave

Sure Ted but how many Americans want to do that work? If Americans do that work thewn the wages have to go up and benefits need to be paid out. To cover that difference, what do the employers do? Raise prices… We as Americans don’t like that.
          Nads,
No, the idea is “Greed and Entitlement”. Thats is what the issue is really about. Employers want to pay people the minimum to maximize profit and We as a country do not like working in fields, manicuring lawns or washing dishes… Do you aspire to such a position? I would not think so so we have the perfcet storm of greed and entitlement that brings in the illegals. The “illegal” problem is not a problem if American businesses did not hire them. Remember that.

          • Karolyn

            So true!

          • WTS/JAY

As usual, you are talking through your hat, Dave!

This idea that Americans refuse to do menial-work for minimum wage is a “myth” invented by “progressive-racists”!

          • Katrael

There is a whole segment of our population who work and collect wages “under the table” who are more than willing to take on those menial jobs.

      • Nadzieja Batki

Dave, then why are they doing the jobs that would normally fall to high school kids and lower educated adults as these jobs are seen as entry level jobs. These jobs are no longer available to the HS kids and to lower skill adults putting their lives into jeopardy. Where do you get the idea that America is to nourish the whole world yet neglect it’s own population.

  • WTS/JAY

Barack Obama’s visit to Mexico is officially listed as a diplomatic mission to reinforce ties with our close friends and allies in Mexico.

However, the real reason is far more sinister and may, in fact, be part of a “high crime and misdemeanor” for which Obama could face impeachment and removal from office.

Treason may also be involved, but punishment for that transgression would surely spark unceasing, ill-founded cries of racism, and will thus be avoided for the time being.

The real purpose behind Obama’s visit to this 3rd-world failed state of Mexico is voter recruitment, plain and simple.

Obama is desperate to make sure that those with the urge to invadeAmerica (about 33 million Mexicans!) act in a timely fashion and get settled before the amnesty scam is codified! The idea is to be in America and covered by amnesty in time to register and vote in the mid-term elections next year.

Which is why Obama spoke in glowing terms about immigrationreform (AKA Amnesty) and redemption for millions of invaders through unearned citizenship.

His message was simple: Do not allow this opportunity to pass you by. Invade America now and secure a bright future and plenty of dinero for you and your family!

Constitutional scholars must decide if Obama is guilty of an impeachable offense. After all, he has refused to secure the borders and to enforce immigration laws on the books.

That insolence has the potential to deliver at least 11 millions voters to the Democrat party and turn the nation blue for decades.

  • tncdel

The globalists are bent on destroying America by eroding its sovereignty and dissolving its border.

Anyone with an IQ above that of a turnip should be able to realize that amnesty would only serve to attract millions more job-stealing illegals here.

The ONLY way to stop the illegal alien invasion: MAKE THINGS AS TOUGH AS POSSIBLE on the illegals, so they will self-deport back to Mexico, etc. at their own expense because they get to hate it here so much. We certainly can’t afford to deport over 20 million illegals. Plus most would only come right back if we tried.

  • Timothy Marvin

Write your reps and tell them americans cannot get jobs because of all the illegals taking them!!! Don’t fall for that crap that they only take jobs no one else wants!!!!! Lean on them hard and tell them to enforce current immigration laws and stop other politicians from pandering for votes!!!!!! Make them understand that the mexicans are sending thier money back to mexico instead of spending it in the USA!!!!!!!!! Illegal mexicans have no intention of learning to speak english or do anything to take immigration tests. They want everything given to them including welfare and social security benefits!!!!!!!!

    • Karolyn

Mexicans are leaving this country in droves. Google it and see what’s going on.

      • WTS/JAY

This is true, Karolyn. Illegal Mexicans are returning in record numbers never seen before to Mexico, and get this; for a better life! They’re no fools, they probably have Obama all figured out, and they’re having none of it. So the question begs; to whom, exactly, is Obama offering “Amnesty” to? Can’t be the Mexicans, they don’t want to be here, and i don’t blame them!

  • Timothy Marvin

American children cannot get jobs because of illegals!!!!!!!!!

    • Karolyn

The Mexicans I have seen work very hard at menial jobs, picking fruit, working on assembly lines, raking pine straw, etc. Most American kids think they are too good for that kind of work. There is a garage near here that has had a sign up for some time that sums it up: “Help wanted. Must WORK”

      • WTS/JAY

I’ve seen plenty of red-blooded Americans doing the work you described, Karolyn. Again, you are spreading a fabricated-myth that only Mexicans do menial-jobs. That simply isn’t true!

        • Deerinwater

She did not say that Jay , you said that and then called it a “myth” . ~

Karolyn only said, that she has personally witnessed Mexicans doing “manual” labor of all sorts and that they qualified and do it very well. While most young people do not seek that kind of work “ANYMORE” , feeling overqualified on various levels.

I concur with Karlyon observation with “today’s’ young people”. They will mooch first. If they have to work, get dirty and wear work cloths ~ and be on time ~ it’s just too much for too little.

I have worked from 12 years of age on, and maybe you did as well ~ but few young people seek out hard work to sustain themselves any more.

You like cheap labor. ~ we all do! ~ no need to hide the fact.

          • WTS/JAY

Darwan: I concur with Karlyon observation with “today’s’ young people”. They will mooch first. I must live on a different planet or a different neighbourhood then you do, because i see the youth willing to roll-up their sleeves and work! Easy to assume i suppose, that they must be that way all over America, or not, depending on perspective.

Darwan: You like cheap labor. ~ we all do! ~ no need to hide the fact.

Cheap labor produces cheap results…and no, i do not like it!

          • Deerinwater

Yea Right! You are one of the rare few that will take the high bid! ~ I can hear your now, “” Hey Dear ~ let’s pay more for a meal there because It naturally must be better food!

You are an exception to the “rule” then Jay. ~ I ain’t buying it. ~ You enjoy cheap labor from your roof job to the restaurant, to the retail sales floor.

Don’t bull$hit the bull$hiter . ~ People a very price conscience. ~ I deal with it everyday. ~ While you offer good argument , I’ve heard them all.

Here is my personal favorite. “I rather find myself apologizing for high prices than poor quality”

Or this one. “I’m left to believe that my competition knows the value of his work which is reflected in is bid.” Far be it for me to argue with him or you about it.

          • WTS/JAY

Darwan: Yea Right! You are one of the rare few that will take the high bid! ~ I can hear your now, “” Hey Dear ~ let’s pay more for a meal there because It naturally must be better food!

Why is that so hard to believe?

Darwan: You are an exception to the “rule” then Jay. ~ I ain’t buying it. ~ You enjoy cheap labor from your roof job to the restaurant, to the retail sales floor.

You assume too much, Darwan. As i said, cheap labor produces cheap results, and this from personal experience. So yeah, as much as it may hurt my pocket-book, i’d rather pay a little extra for a better quality job. As for you, i assume you’d rather pay less now and more later? You know, when the sh*t falls apart?

Darwan: Don’t bull$hit the bull$hiter . ~ People a very price conscience. ~ I deal with it everyday. ~ While you offer good argument , I’ve heard them all.

Like i said, you must live in a different neighbourhood?

Darwan: Here is my personal favorite. “I rather find myself apologizing for high prices than poor quality”

My personal favourite as well! Rather that, then regretting being a cheap-skate and having to rehire someone else to do the job over again!

Darwan: Or this one. “I’m left to believe that my competition knows the value of his work which is reflected in is bid.” Far be it for me to argue with him or you about it.

Only if one is completely ignorant, and most management-companies are not. If the bid is too low, they smell a “rat”!

          • Deerinwater

Professionals yes! ~ The average consumer will dive in head first! ~ and that what we are dealing with here ~ the Average American that reads, thinks and write at a 8 grade level on his best day. ~ You gotta love em. ~

          • Deerinwater

Where do you live Jay? ~ In the country or the city? ~ Country kids ~ work ~and grow up fast and accept responsibility , this is a fact ~ while most of their city cousin’s have a different story today.

I had a young man of maybe 12 just worrying me to death about wanting to do some work. ~ He was ringing my doorbell ever few days ~. I told him, ~ okay but first, I need your parents name and phone number , we must get their approval for you to work for me.. ~ Weeks went by and this was done, I met with his mother and got her consent, ~

On his first day on the job, ~ I chose something simple ,~ take these rocks and chucks of concrete from here and put them over there. Thinking, he could not screw it up or get hurt doing this job. and I walked off. ~ His come into the office after 20 minutes a telling me that he saw a spider and was wondering if I had any work that didn’t require him being confronted with a spider.

I told him, “No” ~ most all of my work involved spiders and allow me to just settle up with him for the work that he had done so he could go look for such a job.

          • Deerinwater

Is it that you don’t like the results or just the cheap labor?

What about the guy that runs a lean, mean business? keeping his overhead down and passing on these saving to the consumer?

There are many perspectives Jay, and none of them “have to be wrong” . At any given place and time the most absurd could be correct, while we speak in generalities here.

I was visit with a neighbor just yesterday ~ says he was having to fly to Oklahoma Monday and do so “Leaning” in production with this company they bought and that he wasn’t looking forward to it.

I said, “is that was they call it now~ ” Leaning”?

It’s seems that his company had bought a small “profitable” company that has been heat treating section of 12 ” pipe in a engine lathe with a acetylene/oxygen torch in the tool post ~ and they are wanting more production. ~This is well head devised we are talking about.

That’s no way to remove the stock rapidly for a slow cool down with out disfiguring it while in it’s soften state. ~(there again, it was a small profitable company) ~ They need a hundred lathes OR a bast furnace with the material pasting though on a conveyor chain belt. Like we did 500 pound bomb casing back in the 60’s. ~ Low tech stuff.

The point is ~ the point depends on what you are “expecting” ~~ if you want more ~ be willing to pay for it.

I can’t sell Cadillac’s at Oldsmobile prices for more than just a few days irregardless of how much everybody likes it.

You want more, you pay more! ~ yet we see the conservative think is ~ I want It ! ~ but I don’t want to pay for it.

We want our Afghanistan and Iraq wars ~ but we don’t want to pay for them.

We want our Ambassadors safe and secure but we don’t want to pay for it!

We want our major Health Care but we don’t want to be required to actually pay for it.

We want a safe and prompt Airlines system ~ but we don’t want to pay for them.

We want our cheap labor but we don’t want these people milking our social service systems and increasing our local taxes. ~ They need to just magically show up when we need them and disappear when we don’t.

It not the poor people that is draining these nation of it’s wealth ~ It’s people like Mitt Romney , Donald Trump and spoiled ba$tard$ that think the rest of us owes them something

      • Nadzieja Batki

So why don’t those “hard working Mexicans” who work in America invest their their time in working in Mexico.

America may as well send the border guards home, open up the borders wide open officially with an annoucement, put out a welcome mat, and tell every last illegal that they are more welcome in America than anyone else. This country is toast, stick a fork in us, we are done. Open borders, and rewarding illegal aliens, may very well be the final nail in America’s coffin.
