The Not-So-Great Eight

February 29, 2012 by

The Not-So-Great Eight

While the Republican Presidential candidates vie for top billing in Tampa, Fla., the Democrats have evidently convinced themselves that President Barack Obama is a shoo-in for another four-year occupation of the White House. Let me rephrase that: The Democrats are trying desperately to convince themselves that President Barack Obama is a shoo-in for another four-year occupation of the White House.

Isn’t it interesting, then, that their anointed savior can’t muster up approval ratings that consistently eclipse the 50 percent mark? Isn’t it more interesting that some polls show Obama packing his gear and clearing out in favor of — among other people — Congressman Ron Paul, a man about whom the media can hardly bring themselves to comment? Isn’t it even more interesting that the corporate media can’t (won’t) mention Obama’s anemic performance, but will offer fealty that borders on blasphemy?

The list of reasons why the thinking voter should eschew casting a ballot for Obama is nearly as long as a Russian novel, but you don’t have the time and we don’t have the bandwidth to enumerate them all here. Each week, I put together a video commentary for Personal Liberty Digest® entitled “The Great Eight.”  Today, I offer you a print version. With apologies to David Letterman (and my production crew):

From our home office in Cullman, Ala., it’s the top eight reasons not to vote for Barack Obama this fall.

8.  Permanent Vacation.

Spain, Hawaii, Martha’s Vineyard, more Hawaii, more Martha’s Vineyard, Aspen and even more Hawaii. Remember how much the liberals hated George W. Bush’s brush-clearing misadventures? At least he was pretending to work once in a while — at his own house. And don’t we all enjoy being lectured about our eating habits by the first lady — in between her 2,500-calorie fundraiser meals, of course. Hypocrisy is ugly. No wonder the Democrats are so damned hard on our eyes — even when they’re wearing diamonds from the Harry Winston Collection.

7.  The Devil-May-Obamacare.

For a great socialist leap forward, the President’s reanimation of Hillarycare’s corpse has taken an oddly back-shelf position of late. It’s almost as if the Democrats don’t want us remembering that they ignored public sentiment, the rules of legislative engagement and one or two juicy parts of the Constitution as November rolls toward us. I suspect Obama may come to regret his decision to force churches to pay for abortions, but that’s presuming he develops a conscience and understanding of the 1st Amendment between now and Election Day. Knowing the liberal mindset, he’ll lose and blame the loss on us “God and guns” types. I’d say more, but it might move my name up on the death panel (yes, Virginia, they are real) list.

6.  Gassed Out.

As much fun as the Democrats’ new sitcom “That was then; this is now” has been to watch, I just don’t see a real future for it. Their attempt to cut Obama loose from that $5 per gallon gas-price anchor he’s dragging around is sadder than Arianna Huffington’s wedding videos. When George W. Bush was President, exorbitant gas prices spurred Democrats including Senator Barbara Boxer and current Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz to hold shrieking press events in which they blamed Bush for everything short of trapping people in their homes. The corporate media obligingly reported the liberal finger-pointing with breathless vigor. Now, gas prices are evidently rising in a vacuum, with the same people suggesting Obama has “little control” over them. That was then; this is now.

5.  Hooray For Hollywood.

Obama leans heavily on financial and propaganda support from the left coast as much as he does on anyone outside the offices of Goldman Sachs. Hollywood’s hypocritical horde has hardly hidden their disdain for non-liberals. But they seem to forget: Only liberals are dumb enough to vote based on advice from renowned thinkers like Sean Penn and Rosie O’Donnell. Sean, go back to Venezuela. Maybe Hugo Chavez will let you be his court jester. Rosie, have another sundae. Oscar host Billy Crystal (no relation; I eat bacon) cracked a joke during the recent Academy Award yawnfest in which he compared Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich to a “dark knight, an American psycho and a charismatic crack addict.” The crowd roared with laughter. I noticed that a whole team of writers put their thinking caps on to produce a joke that wasn’t fit for amateur night at the Ha-Ha Hut. Of course, Romney, Santorum and Gingrich probably thought “I’m totally the dark knight in that one.” That’s actually pretty funny, when you think about it. Maybe Billy’s a distant cousin.

4. Crony Capitalism.

So, religious (read: Christian) organizations get stuck with the same onerous Obamacare mandates that the Democrats’ union thug cronies managed to escape? All those exemptions, and Obama couldn’t find one more for the people who believe abortion is murder? Meanwhile, General Motors is certainly heating things up since its bailout; those Chevy Volts are really hot — in a manner of speaking. And all those so-called “green jobs” projects have produced in spades, have they not? Granted, the “jobs” in question all went to bankruptcy lawyers; but at least someone benefited from Obama’s payoff to his cronies. It was certainly heartbreaking watching those poor attorneys wandering around outside the courthouse. “Will guide you through Chapter 7 for food.” A look at Obamanomics reveals the biggest beneficiaries are guys like Warren Buffett, George Soros and Jeff Immelt (not to mention Mark Rezko). When hypocritical billionaires are hurting, Obama is there for them. What a guy.

3.  Let’s Hear It For The Girls!

Tell you what, liberals. You keep Janeane Garofalo, Barbra Streisand, Sheila Jackson-Lee and — I’m guessing here — Janet Napolitano. We’ll keep Bo Derek, Anne Coulter, Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin. Besides the fact that the combined IQs of the former group don’t equal any one of the latter, our women look like women. The best part is, none of five conservative women I mentioned would disagree with me. The former group would slap you with some kind of injunction for making a remark like that at the next Moveon.org meeting. At least our girls know where Mars is. For that matter, at least our girls know what Mars is.

2. On The Job.

Unemployment has remained a thorn in the American economic side for the better part of Obama’s term. Factor in the number of people who are so discouraged by Obamanomics, and the number rises to close to 15 percent. That’s 15 percent of a workforce that easily exceeds 100 million people. Imagine everyone in the New York metropolitan area updating their resumes at the same time. Add the illegal aliens who the Democrats — and a fair number of the Republicans — won’t address in a meaningful manner, and the math gets even more muy malo. Of course, the Democrats will suggest that the illegals are doing only the jobs that no one else wants. I’ll admit, mowing Nancy Pelosi’s lawn doesn’t sound like a day at the beach, but where are these Americans who are happily living off the dole? I mean, outside Detroit.

1.  It’s The Constitution.

Four words: Attorney General Eric Holder.

Of course, I left off more than a few good reasons to avoid voting for Obama and/or his fellow clown car riders. Hell, trying to pin down only eight was tougher than figuring out who the 10 biggest douchebags are at a personal injury lawyers’ convention.

This November’s Presidential election will indeed be a landmark event in American politics. Will we choose to play Horatio at the bridge, standing tall against the march of liberal statism? Or will we dive into the river, in which we will surely drown?

You’re right, of course, Ben. However, I’m amazed that you listed only 8 reasons. A master list should have at least 35 reasons. Did you settle on eight so the in-house, ultraliberal, utopian progressives can find the time [between programming sessions] to read your article?

reasons O’Bama should stay in office:
      1) kept America out of Republican depression
      2) went from losing 750,000 jobs a month to adding jobs to the private sector 23 straight months
      3) negative GDP to positive GDP
      4) GM leading the world
      5)Dow 13,000

        Anthony,

Delusional left-wing talking points don’t make for a good argument. It’s adolescent thinking. Don’t you think it’s time you and the rest of the Obama supporters returned to reality? Stop with the dreaming already! Look where it’s taking this Country? Obama’s Socialist Utopia isn’t going to work.

I listened to Obama in 2008 and found that he talked a lot but said very little. He promised to “Change America as we know it”. He never said what those changes would be; now we know and we are paying dearly for it. I didn’t vote for him because he didn’t ring true. He is a charismatic speaker; they say Hitler was a charismatic speaker too.

It has come to my attention after being a silent observer for too long that THOSE that still support Obama are all dependent on his social “handouts” whether it is bailouts, food stamps, cash aid, free medical, or social security to non-workers. Obama says what they want to hear, but they are too “blessed with ignorance” to see what he REALLY does! So they listen to 30second sound bites whose purpose is to only create public opinion (on MIS information) and only after they have sold their freedom to the devil will they see the light. Obama is UN American, why else would he want to punish those whom succeed in life and reward those whom take and give Nothing. Who was it that said “The problem with socialism is sooner or later you run out of OTHER PEOPLES MONEY!”

      • Mookie

Anthony, you need to slap the stupid out of yourself.I will give you a few clues,gm was bailed out.so and only quantity of jobs created were gov’t jobs.

Anthony has his pretty little head stuck in the sands of purple-lipped times. I ask YOU one question Anthony. Who is Harrison J. Bounel/Barrack Obama Soebarkah/Barry Soetoro/Barrack Obama or Bari M. Shebazz? -I will go ahead and answer for you. ALL those guys are your hero and NOT mine. The guy you call president has 5 names we know of!!! And YOU still want to vote for him don’t you? Your hero is bringing ruination to the United States of America. YOU are helping, so YOU TOO are a TRAITOR. Best to go hide now. You do not want to show your face outside.

Where do you get your figures from?

      • http://gravatar.com/famousfatman gary

Obama and the liberals don’t mention the people who ran out of unemployment now are receiving public assistants and food stamps.
The drop in our credit record and Obama still creating more debt without a budget.
Obama and his Czars only know how to spend and invest in bankrupt green energy.
A man who apologizes and demeans the women and men in the Armed Forces. A traitor and murderer of innocent Mexicans and a Federal Agent. Holder DOJ, a murderer that has lied over and over to Congress. Obama by-passed Congress and has not lived up to his oath to protect the rights of legal citizens.
Obama is no different than Bush, both are owned and put on a leash by Builder Berg Group.
Obama protects the rights of Muslims and promotes Shari law and holds disdain for American laws.
You turn your head and accept the progressive movement of this jerk that calls himself the leader of the free world. Open your eyes its called world order through collapsing the USA Treasury and delivering the country to the thieves, entrenched in the Federal Reserve and the World Bank. All former employees and members of the Federal Reserve who can not account for 14 trillion dollars of the taxpayers money to pay our debts.
Apparently accounting is not a strong suit for liberals, who live off the working class and have no idea how to balance a check book.
Myself I see Congress not doing their job, for not bringing High Treason against, this piece of garbage. But you don’t have the courage to admit he is a traitor to the country and the people, when he apologizes for the country to our enemies. I travel all over the world and the Asian people call him a monkey in a suit. No one fears us because he is the weakest president in history. he has spent more money than all presidents combined and has more people than ever on public assistants.
        Food Stamp president

I completely agree with you Anthony and am surprised that in only 4 years Obama has been able to pull us away from the edge of the cliff The Shrub so recklessly led us to. The Republicans of course will never admit the piss poor job that azzwhule did for us, but it is completely obvious. Give them another 4 years and we will go right over the cliff.

Tony… Why did you leave off his landmark policies, like ObamaCare (complete with crony exemptions), Stimulus (more Cronyism), QE1-4 (inflation creation), NDAA (much worse than Patriot Act), Dodd-Frank (financial market stifling legislation)… and the list goes on. Those were his BIG accomplishments, but even YOU know how crappy they really were and are just as embarrassed.

If those 8 are the best you have, then your boy is in BIG TROUBLE!!!!

      • Scott in SC

        Anthony,
I’m not an Obama fan, didn’t vote for him and probably won’t because I’ll vote for the best person for the position, but I’ll give him credit where it’s due which ain’t much. The majority of posters here hate him because he’s a Democrat. If it was a Republican doing the exact same thing they’d be cheering it on. Which was exactly what they did under W. They are the useful idiots, digging their own graves.

      • Carl Weiss

Good research Anthony, as you can see by the postings, the “other” party doesn’t deal well with facts. I see right off the bat they want you to “get a clue”, which you apparently already do have. The greed and indifference toward their fellow Americans is down right disgusting. I served twice in the Military(’74-’78 and ’80-’87) to allow these people the right to speak their mind, but if it was up to them, you and I would not be allowed to. Obama is so hated merely because he is a “Black Man”, and he has done more for this country in his first 3 years than G.W.B. did in 8 years, and he is finally getting us out of these two wars. That ticks the GOP off, because most of them have interests in the “War” machine, and don’t send their Sons and Daughters off to any war. Obama is the “Man”, that will make this Country great again, not the “Boy” as they prefer to address him. Just goes to show that they only respect their way, and any other way is that of the “Devil” (ever wonder why I am an Atheist… just read some of the post here).
p.s. For all the “Birth” people that think that Obama is not a citizen, I was born in Germany to an American soldier and a German Mother…I am an American Citizen, so is Obama. Those of you that cannot accept that have just insulted a large portion of Americans who, by birth, are citizens and have served this Country.

        Great Post Anthony.

In contrast here was the Beloved George Bushes:
        1. Ongoing war in Afganistan not paid for.
        2. Drug plan not to be paid for.
        3. War on Iraq not paid for.
        4. Water boarding of prisoners that USA will forever pay for.
        5. Approved budgets that outspent our tax revenue by hundreds of billions of dollars.
        6. Hurricane Katrina – enough said
        7. Cheney – enough said.
8.Failed to act on warning signs of the September, 11th attacks
9.Took more vacation time than any other President

the much more adorned Ronald Reagon to these republicons would be much larger.

It is idiots like Anthony why we are so much trouble. It is just unbelievable how someone can be so stupid. And we have a bunch of men who are gurley men, no testesterone. Hells Bells, there are too many reasons to list why Little Barry should not only go, but go in chains to Leavenworth to await trial, conviciton and execution on a hair rope for the countless traitorous activites, high crimes and misdemeanors.

Then we get Biden, Reid, Durbin, Pelosi, Hoyer, work our way thru the House and the Senate, Bush Chaeny, the DNC, the RNC, most of the judiciary nation-wide. It is clean-up time.

Think of all the jobs we would create at the rope manufacturers, the carpenters put to work, the grave diggers, the mortuaries.

Carl, there’s a big difference between a ‘Citizen of America’ and a ‘Natural Born Citizen’. A citizen born out of the country to an American parent can become an American citizen. A Natural Born Citizen has to be born in America with two American parents and one of them has to have lived in America for at least ten years – five years after the age of 14. Obama’s father was not born in America and his mother gave birth to him at 18 – not the required 19 age. He is not a Natural Born Citizen as our Constitution requires for the eligibility to become president of America.

What more can you ask of one man who struggles with every thing he proposes that will make jobs and stimulate the economy? The Republicans either shoot it down or attatch tax breaks for the rich which is absurd and counter productive. It’s time for the Republicans to vote for things that will benifit our country and our economy and stop fearing that the Presidend will look good because of it. We need to work togeather for the betterment of all Americans. Ron C.

Anthony; can you tell me how having 21 million people lose theit jobs in 2009 with only 860 thousand finding work again, followed by 19.8 milliom people losing their jobs in 2010 with only 1 million getting back to work ; followed by 17.6 million people losing their jobs in 2011 and only 1.6 million finding work again IS KEEPING US OUT OF A DEPRESSION? We have an 8.3% U-3 unemployment because only 8.3% of the unemployed still qualify for benefits. I watched a lot of people counting out change to put some gas in their automobiles this last weekend. Do I agree with everything, no, but I think he has done and will do a better job than any of the candidates currently in the Rebublican primary. I agree with you list of positives. The reason the others don’t is that they would have to admit that Obama was doing a good job and they are not going to do that no matter what happens. They have been guzzeling the Koolaid.

      • MNIce

Anthony from Schlaraffenland, with a little reality checking, you would discover you have listed reasons why Mr. Obama should be removed from office:
        You claim Mr. Obama
        1) kept America out of Republican depression
        2) went from losing 750,000 jobs a month to adding jobs to the private sector 23 straight months
        3) negative GDP to positive GDP
        4) GM leading the world
        5)Dow 13,000
        6) Bin Laden dead
        7) Al Alawaki dead
        8) Khaddfey dead ( no American troops onthe ground
        9) 400,000 illegal aliens deported in fiscal year 2011 most in history

        The reality:
        1) Turned a Republican recession into a Democrat depression, just like FDR did for Hoover.
2.) 15,000,000 Americans are out of work. Average annual employment in goods-producing jobs has increased by 551 since 2009 – not 551 thousand, just 551. 1088 jobs were added to the services sector in that same time. We have more people sneaking in over the Mexican border every week than this. See the Labor Department numbers here: ftp://ftp.bls.gov/pub/suppl/empsit.ceseeb1.txt
        3) GDP growth is less than the rate of inflation. In terms of purchasing power (“constant dollars”) GDP is still down.
        4) GM leading the world in what? Number of fires in experimental cars?
        5) The dollar has lost half its value since Mr. Obama took office. The Dow is denoted in dollars. Adjusting for inflation, it’s about 6500 – the same value it hit in the crash back in 2008.
        6) Hooray. This would have happened in 2004-2005 if the New York Times hadn’t spilled the beans about how we were tracking his phone calls. FDR would have had that whole pack thrown in jail and tried for treason.
        7) An American citizen was tried and convicted in absentia by executive order with no opportunity to confront his accusers, and executed on foreign soil without notice. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
        8) Mr. Obama joined an international lynch mob without a by-your-leave to Congress. Impeachable offenses include waging illegal undeclared war, misappropriation of funds, destruction of government property, murder and attempted murder, subordinating our sovereign authority over our military to the United Nations without Congressional authorization, etc.
        9) How many of those 400,000 cases were started while GW Bush was President? How many illegal aliens were released with nothing but a promise to turn themselves in again?

Their has got to be alot of people who had their heads in the sand or just plain ignorant, or even stuck on stupid!! Thanks for pointing out the FACTS to the ignorant!! To many people has discounted this president way too much, while others has looked the other way!! Unfortunately, we have a portion of the population just DON’T get it!!! We need to show to our Fremenies that something has been done, to help the American public, and that same side has tried everything in their power to railroad any thing that would help the American public. Should we say another 4 years?? Yes… But the Republican liars and troublemakers eventually will sink, and we will see who is on top when the dust clears. The Republicans that are jockeying for the right to challange President Obama, has said and will say anything to discredit his administration and someone will swap then down.

      • Aileen

Obama has made promises that sounded good but in reality that is it. He is a bumbling fool who deceived this country in the worst possible ways and is destroying it from the inside out. Who could ever vote for this guy after the BS he has shoved down our throats and LIED to us in every word that passes his lips. Fire the guy and all his stooges!

      • Frankie

Thank you, Anthony. I’m with you.

        Reasons to get rid of obama;

1- Admitted on camera that he was born in Kenya, hence making him unfit to be president. Not to mention that makes him a liar from the very beginning. Meaning that his so called “hawaiian” birth certificate is fake along with his social security number.

2- His wife admitted on camera that barak was born in kenya while she was conducting a meeting in Kenya.

3-Obama lied about being a Christian. He admitted on camera that he is a muslim on his george stephenopolous interview. Yet again making him a LIAR.

4- He is sending troops and funds into wars without the consent of congress or of the American people.

5- Forced Obama care through with anyone knowing what was in the 2700 page document. Well, Congress was given 24 hours to read and understand what was in it. No body could possibly read and fully understand a document like that in such a short period of time.

6- obama care is attacking religious rights with the contraception mandate. No other president has ever done that in the history of our country.

7- obama has bowed down before muslim shieks and kinks and apologized for Americas arrogance.
Without the help and aid from our great nation, all of those nations would not exist. We need not apologize to them for sacrificing our troops, giving them our money our time and effort to make their lives better. They still hate us and want america to be blown away.

8- Wants guns taken away from the american people. Hitler did the same thing to the german people.

9- obama wants to control every aspect of our lives. He is attacking our kitchens, our beds and our living rooms. He is extended goverment so far beyond what it is meant for that it is frightening.

10-obama has added more the the deficiet than all of the presidents in the past combined, and he still has a full year to top it off.

The list goes on and on baby! I could go on for hours on why obama needs to be fired!

These are point by point silly, asinine and/or lies. Take your pick. The “Republican recession?? You mean the banking system collapse that Bush and the GOP minority in the House fought like crazy , trying EIGHT TIMES to reign in Raines and the insanity that WAS Fannie and Freddie? You need only to go to you tube to hear speaker Pelosi et al praising the wonderful “no down loans, no doc loans, Vapor Lock loans, for houses that almost destroyed the WORLD’S financial system by turning what was once the safest investment in trhe world — U.S. Home Loans into the financial version of the famous “balsa wood baseball bat” from “Fractured Flickers” fame/ ., And those 750,000 lost jobs a month?? That was for HOW MANY MONTHS?? AFTER the Democrat House of Reps/CARDS imploded?? Oh, and that WAS ALSO while the impending election of the current IDIOT was causing a replay of Wealthy Jews racing out of 1930′s Germany, Wealthy and middle class Cubans taking anything they could grab and fleeing Cuba as Castro drove into Havana and similar flights from insanity throughout history. Yes, with each poll showing Obama likely to win the Market dropped another 500-1000 points from the 14K plus mark it posted after 7 years of Bush/Republican Gains… remember the MSM whining about 4 1/2 percent unemployment figures?? And 1.49 gasoline??? Remember?? I could go on and on… all this while we fought a war in Iraq and established the first Arab/Persian constitutional Representative Republic in the History of the world??? Something that Barrack Obama is determined to throw away?? I could go on but you have stopped reading. Too many two sylllable words.

      • Micael

Maybe the understanding that you are trying to portray is that Obama did the right thing? Let me see he put the same people on his panel that wrote the laws that destroyed two laws in our constitution. Put millions of people out of their homes and into their kids or parents homes. Put millions out of work including myself. And giving jobs to the “Private Sector” isn’t going to cut friend. So, he bailed out his buddies and then made them even bigger. Millions are still out of work! Where are the manufacturing jobs, where is our export business, where did it all go? They took them from us, wake up!

        • http://Yahoo Ron C

Where are the job’s ? Ask Romney he is the king of exporting jobs ! Boy do you need a wake up call ! Obama is offering all kinds of incentives to corporations to bring jobs back to America. Romney has cost many Americans to loose good paying jobs with good benefits. The jobs he creates like making pizza are minimum wage jobs with no benefits ! If you vote Republican you will certainly get what you deserve, A nice minimum wage job and no benefits. Best of luck to you !

Yeah, right! Obama is all for creating jobs here in the United States. Don’t make me laugh
The truth of the matter is that the Obama administration is killing American jobs by the costly beaucratic handcuffs that his administration has forced upon business people who want to create good paying jobs in America. Here are just a few of the federal regulations–some of them pending, some of them already in effect that are killing jobs:
            1. NLRBs Boeing Complaint
Last April, the National Labor Relations Board’s general counsel issued a complaqint against the Boeing company challenging the airline manufacturer’s decision to open a new plant in South Carolina, a right to work state. The general counsel claimed the move was an unlawful “retaliation against the unionized workforce at Boeing’s existing plant in Washington State. Despite the fact that no union workers have lost their jobs as a result of Boeing’s decision, the NLRB is seeking a “restoration order” against Boeing that would force a return to the status quo ante, giving unions the ability to bargain for a new plant in Washington State. Meanwhile, Boeing had already invested some $2 billion in the South Carolina plant and created more than 2,000 jobs, all of which has been put at risk by the NLRB’s actions. Because Boeing will have to spend millions defending itself in court, the ruling is likely to deter future investment and job creation across the country. Hmm, it gives one pause to think perhaps Obama’s NLRB and his union cronies don’t give a damn about creating jobs here in America.

            2. MACT and CSAPR Utility Standards
The Obama administration has proposed new maximum-achievable-control-technology
(MACT) standards and a cross-state air-polution rule (CSAPR) for utility plants that will have a direct impact on utility prices across the country. The new rules will affect more than 1,000 fossil-fuel-fired plants, a number of which will be forced to shut down. As a result, Americans in many parts of the country could find themselves paying anywhere from 12 to 24 percent more for electricity. Don’t forget that in 2008, President Obama said, “Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electric rates would necessarily skyrocket.”

            3. BOILER MACT Rules
Obama’s EPA’s new “boiler MACT” rules would impose stricter emissions standards for some 200,000 commercial, institutional, and industrial boilers nationwide, and stand to dramatically impact the thousands of American businesses–from hospitals to factories to universities–that use them. EPA officials estimated the cost of the new rules at about $10 billion, though others predict the true cost will be almost double that figure. The U.S. Small Business Administration warned that the rules would cause “significant new regulatory costs” for businesses, institutions, and municipalities across the country, with the American forest and paper industry alone expected to see an additional burden of at least $5-7 billion in new capital and compliance costs. A U.S. Commerce Department analysis predicted job losses of up to 60,000 as a result of the stricter requirements–much greater than the EPA had initially claimed–while some estimates put the job loss figure at close to 200,000.

            4. Cement MACT Requirements
The EPA’s “cement MACT” requirements and two related rules would set stringent new emissions standards affecting nearly 100 cement plants across the country, many of which would be cost-prohibitive or, in some cases effectively impossible to meet. The resulting higher costs would almost certainly lead to layoffs and offshored jobs in an industry that is literally the foundation for nearly all domestic infrastructure projects. In fact, it’s already happening. A Chinese company is constructing roads here in America. Residents in a town in Alabama recently saw construction on a $350 million cement production facility suspended, putting 1,500 jobs on hold and the forthcoming additional jobs at the plant itself at risk.

            5. ‘Coal Ash’ Regulations
The EPA has, for the first time ever, proposed national restrictions on coal ash, a byproduct of coal-burning power plants. Utility and power producers predict the cost of these rules will exceed $100 billion and force them to retire about one-fifth of the nation’s coal capacity, which would mean the loss of well over 100,000 jobs. The nonpartisan Congressional Research Service, which conducts policy research for lawmakers, says that the new restrictions are likely to force many coal plants to shut down between now and 2017.

            6. Obamacare
Suffice to say, it discourages employers fr45om hiring additional workers.

            7. EPA Ozone Rule
It is estimated that the total cost of Obama’s environmental age3nda through the EPA’s str5ict new ozone-polution standards will be at least $1 trillion over a decade and costing the loss of millions of jobs.

How about Obama’s refusal to allow the building of the Keystone pipe line which would have put thousands of Americans to work. And how about Obama’s investing billions of our dollars in a foreign company, backed by George Soros, to drill for oil off the coast of Brazil, instead of permitting American companies with American jobs to drill here in America.

Have you been checked for a brain tumor recenely ? Wow you are so far off the mark it’s not funny. Join Rush and his friend Sean Hanity ! Two peas in a paud ! Every word they speak is either a lie or an extreme exaggeration. You are a perfect example of the far right brain washed extremist ! The Republican extremist are so desperate that they are reaching out to anyone who is dumb enough to listen and believe there insane accusations ! They remind me of how Hitler used to insight crowds of people with his retoritc ! Try rising above the retoritic and look at the accomplishments this president has accomplished for one getting Osama Binladen. He also has put strict regulations on banks so they don’t give out bad loans which the Republicans were opposed to. When Bush left office he handed Obama a country that bailed out the crooks on Wall St. which put us in a near depression. I don’t blame either party for changing the banking laws that set this terrible atrocity in motion because both parties are responsible. That is why you don’t see any one going to jail or being blamed . If we were to lock up the guilty parties we woul have to put more than half of all Senators and Congressmen in jail and that will never happen ! If you have a half a brain you will pray that whom ever is in charge of this great country puts the interest of all American Voters at the top of the list. Not the rich not the poor all of us and the success of our great nation. The pesident who ever it may be is one man he does not make the laws he does not pass them, If you graduated from high school and learned anything at all in government class you would know that the only real power a president has is the power of veto ! In closing may I suggest when you are so frustrated and angry about a paticular thing in government contact your Senator and Congressmen in your district and complain. You will get allot more from that than hating our great president !

Wow! Ron, it is you who needs a refresher course in thye powers of the president. Obama has by-passed Congress on numerous occasions with executive orders to put his policies into effrect. Not to mention the hinderance to this nation’s economic recovery his EPA is doing. In fact, all of the president’s agencies can act without the approval of Congress. The president as Commander-in-Chief can move and locate our military as he sees fit.

Obama has violated or committed about 50 felonies, including his real identity. In law we notice that the truth has no sisters. There is only one true story. Obama has multiple stories. He is not a natural born citizen, and a number of states are beginning to question his credentials. He took over from Bush with unemployment in the 6% range. Now it is over 8% by his own corrupt statistics. He does not include the underemployed and those that have quit looking. The economy has gone straight down since then. Obama has his boot on the throat of America’s economy. He is intentionally trying to bankrupt the US to try to impose socialism on America. 70% of the country was against Obama care, yet he forced it on the US. Now he is trying to rationalize it with class warfare. At this time, China and Russia have built huge military arsenals, and are stock piling oil and raw materials.
They have continued to stock pile weapons. In addition to bribes and treason, BO is busy disarming America. His idea is if America disarms, and apologizes to everyone we won’t be attacked. Don’t bet on it, China and Russia are chomping at the bit, and just waiting for an attack on Iran to do it. Anyone that read his books would understand. I never imagined anyone would rival Jimmy Carter as the worst Pres.ever, but Obama’s boast that he has 5 more years to destroy America did it. Carter said the same thing, just 1000 times worse. Oil production is high due to the increase in prices. This is despite BO limiting drilling permits, killing the pipeline, and everything he can to kill the oil industry.Outside the US BO reveals his true identity that he is Muslim and is on the side of our enemies. If he is re-elected he will bury America as of 2008, just like Cuba in 1959.
This is a silent revolution for communism in America, nothing else. They have to call it “progressive”, how else could you “advance” with debt and welfare. The Dems did this in California, with one party, now they’ve expanded to the whole country. Thus I abandoned the DNC as too radical. They have destroyed the Consitutuion.

      • YAZMIN

Sad for people who still get their education from “FOX NOISE.” the channel of hate and racism. They would say anything ugly to make our president look bad. And again, they could only brain wash one category of their listeners.
Thank god ! McCaine is not the president, other ways, they will deny his birth in Columbia.

We will not miss Obama when he is removed from office this year. Like when Jimmy Carter was removed, everyone just muttered “thank god he’s gone” under there breath and got one of the many jobs that suddenly became available, just after filling the tank with cheaper gas, then eating some food they paid less for, while watching the hostages being released by an Iran petrified and scared to death by the incoming president.

Iran was afraid of Regan? What planet are you on? The GOP gave them concessions and they where holding off releasing the hostages to make sure Regan got elected.
Don’t hold your breath, Obama will be around for a while, the GOP has no viable candidate and Ron Paul for all the Paul campaign bluster really has no chance. The man has not won even one primary state, and the delegates will not defect the other candidates to vote for him… he has alienated too many within the GOP with his antics.

      • justsomeguy151

if by “antics”, you mean abiding by the constitution, then yr right. But don’t kid yrself. Paul has won or tied in three states. He basically won or tied in Iowa, and in Nevada and Maine, the GOP hardliners voter frauded the s@#t out if him to benefit Obamney. But Paul’s got the delegates and if he gets screwed out of the GOP nomination, I will just write him in, even if it results in the Fraud-in-Chief being re-elected. Paul does have a chance to win as an independent tho. He consistently draws from the right AND the left, something no other candidate can say. So keep licking Obumma’s boots, loser.

      • DaveH

What do you dislike about Ron Paul, John?

      • flashy

John…lest we forget the treaonous actions of the Reagan WH in dealing in arms with Iran, in direct contravention of law. And who but a friend would send a birthday cake to Iran’s leader?

Obama winning about 30 states and 310 electoral votes. Maybe more, not less.

Ron Paul? His domestic proposals are DOA in any Congress, and his foreign policy will scare even the most hardened sceptic of international affairs. He will garner the fringe vote. 12% or so comprised of true believers and people who use him as a platform in protest. The best thing for Obama is Ron Paul’s numbers go into the mid teens. Hack and slash enough to get a voice at the Convention.

Santorum has succeeded in shooting himself. Dissing women, dissing college educated people, then dissing JFK. Santorum is toast. Romney…think a spinelss jellyfish going with wherever the waters take it. think Romney. Is there much of a difference? And Newt…he’s good for comic relief.

I thought when i first saw the article’s title it would be one of well thought out topics allowing a debate on issues and policy. Then when i saw the author…so much for that hope. Actually, I was hoping Livingston would have taken this one to write.

Reagan should have been arrested for treason for making deals in Paris with Iran not to release the hostages to insure he got elected.

DaveH only reads from his Mises bible. Siome good ideas there but come on expand your sights a little.

Death panels are nothing but cheap scare tactics from folks that don’t have any good ideas. Life end planning between doctors and patients are appropriate discussions in a system that is bankrupt and prides itself on taking 80% of people’s savings in their last months of living.

Medicare for all is the affordable efficient answer and the reason RepubliCare sucks is because the people who can’t see that forced us into a bad compromise. Everything in the last few years has been a bad compromise or nothing. Sore losers way of governing a sinking ship.

LIke it or not Obama inherited a major disaster and so far he has kept it from completely blowing up even though the Republicans have done everything in their power to insure it does blow up so that they can regain power. We are not out of the woods just treading water. Keep it up and you just may get what you deserve.

I love the way this crowd completely ignores the long list of Obama WH successes whenever anyone points them out. They can’t even acknowledge one thing. That says it all. I don’t like his administration and I didn’t and wouldn’t vote for him but at least I am man enough to acknowledge when someone does something right.

Ron Paul can’t get elected just like Ralph Nader couldn’t get elected although we would all be better off having tried alternative candidates. We talk tough and carry big sticks as Americans but we are always too scared to vote for our best interest.

LIke it or not losers! Obama, an extremely long shot black man candidate, was elected to be President. None of you can hold a candle to that man and you should have more respect for your fellow man.

What, Eric, and read your communist propaganda? We should adhere to policies that have been proven failures throughout modern history? I think you are narrow-sighted, Eric. Why in the world would I want to imitate you?
Anybody with half-a-brain (guess that leaves out Progressives) can figure out that people will die when the inevitable shortages prompt Government panels to pick and choose who should receive the scarce life-saving resources. If the Health Care industry is “bankrupt”, it is due to the Interventionism of the Federal Government. Government has been meddling in the Health Care industry for over 100 years. First Big Government messes up an industry, then they conveniently offer themselves as the solution to fix it. And fools like Eric cheer them on.

If Free Healthcare is a right, then so must be Free Food (not many things are more imminently deadly than starvation), and Free Shelter, and Free Clothing — all three of which are necessary to preserve life. And who will pay for these things when people realize there is no reward for efficient planning, hard work, and sacrifice? Not many. That’s why Communism and other forms of Socialism just don’t work. People are inherently averse and resentful to carry other peoples’ load.
How did the Republicans create the major disaster that Obama inherited, Eric? And how is Obama changing the actions that resulted in that disaster, Eric?
There’s a “long list of Obama WH successes”, Eric? Name a few.
Ron Paul can’t get elected, Eric? Because you say so?

By the way, your man has so many names that he must be a crook. Harrison J. Bounel aka Barrack Obama aka Barry Soetoro aka Barack Obama Soebarkah and Bari M. Shebazz are all the same creep. Why would aa person such as yourself get fooled so badly by somebody like that?

You wouldn’t recognize a real progressive if it bit you in the arse. You are not really interested in anything but your narrow point of view are you?

I’ll give you some food for thought on Liberals and Progressives

“What did Liberals do that was so offensive to the Republican Party?
I’ll tell you what they did.

Liberals got African-Americans the Right to Vote.
        Liberals got Women to Vote.
Liberals created Social Security and lifted millions of elderly people out of poverty.
        Liberals ended Segregation.
Liberals passed the Civil Rights Act.
Liberals passed the Voting Rights Act.
        Liberals created Medicare.
Liberals passed the Clean Air Act.
Liberals passed the the Clean Water Act.

        What did Conservatives do?
They opposed them on every one of those things, every one.

So when you hurl that label at my feet, ‘Liberal,’ as if it were something to be ashamed of, something dirty, something to run away from, it won’t work, because I will pick up that label and I will wear it as a badge of honor.”

        Lawrence O’Donnell Jr
And I whole heartedly agree with this American.

You seem to have bought into the misleading rhetoric that the progressive movement has any power at all in Washington or that Obama represents progressives.

We the real progressives will not claim Obama, we never have. We didn’t want him although I am sure that many progressives voted for him to get away from the Bush regime.

We have higher ideals. We know that a single payer medicare for all option makes the most sense economically. And we are smart enough to understand that it is not free, we all pay in and spread the cost. It alone would save billions currently being stolen right from the top by the corrupt insurance industry. Why should a predatory unnecessary middle man industry dictate what kind of health care we can have. Why should they get a cut at all. Health care used to be non-profit and it needs to be again.

Businesses would be less encumbered to pursue their business instead of worrying about and competing for employees based on what kind of health care they can afford.

I am sorry but Socialism that puts people above the profits of a predatory industry is something we should all embrace. Socialism that bails out banks is what we should be upset with but somehow that always wins. Socialism is not communism or anything even resembling it, it is merely caring about society.

We the progressives do not want wars. We do not want to occupy any other countries. We do not want to covet other’s resources. We believe in paying for resources fair and square through the free market system. We believe that this alone is responsible for terrorism and our insecurity.

We the progressives are tired of the Federal Reserve and the overly complicated and unfair tax system.

We the progressives are tired of the ineffective and bought up agencies like the EPA and FDA. We don’t want these agencies to have people going in and out through the revolving doors of the industries they are supposed to protect us from.

We the progressives want the corporate charters which are granted by we the people to have more teeth and more responsible behavior. Profits yes but never at the expense of people or the environment. If you want to hold American corporate charters you will need to end your shenanigans of hiding profits in offshore havens and you will need to pay your fair share.

We the progressives believe that we should voluntarily cap the salary ratios between the lowest paid and highest paid. It’s the right thing to do unless greed is good is still your mantra.

We the progressives believe that we should promote and facilitate more worker owned cooperative corporations. You may not know it yet but this is the model that will win out in the long run. IT is democracy in the workplace and it works.

We the progressives believe that unions have their place and they should be encouraged instead of actively discouraged. That alone would help clean up their corruption. Better wages makes for a better middle class. Germany has strong unions and they have a strong manufacturing so it is possible,

We the progressives want campaign finance reform. We want our government back We want We the people not we the corporations. If there is something that should be repealed immediately it’s the supreme court ruling that gave corporations the right to buy elections. Unless CEOs are willing to face jail time or the death penalty for their crimes. They can’t have it both ways.

We the progressives want an immediate repeal of the obscene Patriot act. We want all of our constitutional rights back immediately. This place is a fascist police state and you all let it happen and I remember being ostracized when speaking up on this after 9/11.

We the progressives want alternative energy and we want it now. We know about climate change, we are not stuck in the “at first it is ridiculed” or “then it is violently opposed” stage. Clean renewable energy is the only viable long term solution and you all know it so why not lead the way.

We the progressives want to break up the big agribusiness monopolies. They have destroyed the small farms, our top soil and our food security. We want organic bio intensive diversified small and local farms back.

We the progressives want to talk about improving our unhealthy eating habits. We don’t want to be fat. We don’t want so much meat, so much dairy, so much sugar and processed foods. We don’t want to subsidize the fast food industry by subsidizing corn and soy. We support local small farms preferably organic. That is the future and food security. And it has a direct impact on diseases and health care costs.

We the progressives want to break up the big media monopolies. We want local newspapers and local radio and TV that serves our local communities. The technology makes this possible. The monopolies are the only thing standing in the way.

We the progressives want to enforce our current laws and break up all too big to fail monopolies

        I could go on…..

        What do you guys want?

Do we have any common ground or do you just want to call me a communist?

        Eric Bischoff says:

Ben Crystal is like a bad misogynist, racist Holiday In lounge act

Hard to be more obviously a liberal/progressive. Ad hominem attack and the race card all in the first sentence.

Life end planning between doctors and patients are appropriate discussions in a system that is bankrupt and prides itself on taking 80% of people’s savings in their last months of living.

At least that “bankrupt’ system only offers to take people savings instead of forcing people to give up their savings. Then again if they spend their savings on medical stuff there won’t be as much money left for the government to confiscate with the “death” tax.

        DaveH writes

If Free Healthcare is a right, then so must be Free Food (not many things are more imminently deadly than starvation), and Free Shelter, and Free Clothing — all three of which are necessary to preserve life.

Shelter is not really necessary to preserve life Just move them to warmer climate. Clothing is only necessary as it applies to shelter. Houses are NOT required for shelter :)

The question I like to ask you also alluded to is where do they plan to get the slaves that will provide that “Free” healthcare and do you really want your doctor to be a slave?

      • Cathy

I didn’t write this one, but I wish I had.
        REMEMBER JANUARY 3, 2007
The day the Democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was actually January 3rd 2007, the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th Congress.
The Democratic Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995 For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is “Bush’s Fault”, think about this:
January 3rd, 2007, the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress:
The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%
        The Unemployment rate was 4.6%
George Bush’s Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB CREATION!
By the way GWB had Nothing to do with the GM bailout MR. Obama did all of that not GW!!!!!!!!!
        Remember that day…
January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.
The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?
        BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!
THANK YOU DEMOCRATS (especially Barney ) for taking us from 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP and 4.6% Unemployment…to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES!
(BTW: Bush asked Congress 17 times to stop Fannie & Freddie – starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy). Barney blocked it and called it a “Chicken Little Philosophy” (and the sky did fall!)
And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? OBAMA
And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie?
OBAMA and the Democrat Congress, especially BARNEY!!!!
So when someone tries to blame Bush…
REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007….THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!”
Bush may have been in the car but the Democrats were in charge of the gas pedal and steering wheel they were driving the economy into the ditch. Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party.
Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 & 2009 as well as 2010 & 2011.
In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.
For 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budget.
And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009. Let’s remember what the deficits looked like during that period:
If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.
If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself.
In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is “I inherited a deficit that I voted for, And then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th.”
There is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on!
“The problems we face today exist because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living.”
That my friends constitutes socialism…a welfare state.

      • George2

I have been a registered Democrat for over sixty years…and have voted for less than a half a dozen. There have not been any fit for the offices they ran for. I didn’t vote for ob, because he seemed too smooth telling people WHAT THEY WANTED TO HEAR, and still does, BUT…I could NEVER vote for anyone who usurps authority, absolutely disrespects the constitution as he does. That 8.3% unemployed his administration brags about, is ACTUALLY more like 36%. And, better take a REAL look at WHEN things were starting to go downhill. The Demos were in majority. You say the Repub’s wont work with ob…The Demo’s AND ob introduce really “dumb ass” propositions, Repubs reject them…Repubs propose GOOD propositions…Dem Senate will not even put them on the floor for discussion. ob has taken America so low, it is hard to imagime it could get worse, BUT if we don’t get him out of there, he’ll take America to HELL, but not “and back”. I am NOT a racist. I would vote for ANYONE who speaks as an AMEIRCAN, not a smoothie, bald faced liar as he has been.

        • Ed Nopp

Well George 2, I’m afraid that the once proud Democrat Party has been overrun by the Progressive. The Republican Party has plenty of Progressive in it too. These parasites don’t know how to start and run their own political party. They don’t even want too because they know that it couldn’t stand on its own. Besides, it’s better for them to infiltrate and take over the existing political parties, they already have a following and most people don’t even realize what is happening.

  • Karolyn

Don’t count your chickens… If the choice is between Obama and Romney, Obama will win. And why are there always the cracks about women’s looks? Totally inappropriate. Ben, you’re no Brad Pitt.

    • John

To me Ben always comes across like a night club comedian and not at all like someone who is actually concerned about this country. He is always rehashing old and many times debunked myths and the way its done or written lets me believe he thinks all of this is just a joke. Death panels? Really Ben?

      • DaveH

Intelligent people know that “death panels” is a euphemism for committees who decide who does and who does not get to receive scarce life-saving medical resources that will inevitably result from Government-run Health Care.

      • DaveH
      • John

Dave, you may know that and I may know that but Ben is playing to the uneducated out there that take him literally… What he calls death panels are in no way any different then what is happening right now when the panels in the health care industry decide who they want to remove and are dropping just because they have actually become sick and …gasp…cost them money. Millions every year lose their coverage after falling ill. Being dropped by Insurance companies not wanting to uphold their ends of the contracts. Something Obama care wants to stop.

      • DaveH

My mother was an insurance agent. I have looked poorly upon the insurance scam since I was a young man. When we buy insurance we are betting Against the odds that we will suffer misfortune. Suffering misfortune is the only way we come out financially better off for having purchased insurance. I would rather bet With the odds that I won’t suffer misfortune. Also there are a whole host of financial and political side-effects that result from insurance that I don’t feel like explaining right now.
But before we had a choice — Nobody was forced to buy Health Insurance in the past.

      • flashy

DaveH … so you would agree with Ron Paul that should you incur some disasterous medical condition that will wipe your savings out, you’ve no problem with that and afterwards you’re on your own with no public assistance ?

In other words, turn you away from the E Room without cash or insurance ?

      • flashy

BTW…there were no ‘death squads’ or anything that could sanely be referred to in the Health Care Reform. End of life counselling..yes. Only the most irrational reading and imagination would say it was a “death squad”

I take it if you term such language objectionable…what do you say about the states which recognize your Right to die ?

      • DaveH

Flashman says — “so you would agree with Ron Paul that should you incur some disasterous medical condition that will wipe your savings out, you’ve no problem with that and afterwards you’re on your own with no public assistance?”.
I don’t know what Ron Paul said about that, but I’m sure, Flashman, that you can find some valid references to show the readers what he has said.
For myself, I believe nobody has a right to ride on anybody else’s Unwilling Shoulders (Slavery). I wouldn’t even think of demanding somebody else to carry me unwillingly. I have morality. Also, I know that the result of Socializing costs of medical care always results in less care, not more, after the money taken from other people has run out.
And who said anything about “death squads”, Flashman? As usual, you’re equivocating.
As for “death panels”, I have posted that information already in an above comment.

      • flashy

DaveH…they’ve been called “death squads’ and “Death panels” by those knowingly trying to mislead Americans on that part of the health Care Reform. Quite simply, the legislation called for counseling at end of life determinations…much like several states which have the Right to Die privilege now mandate.

With that same scenario, Ron Paul stated, …you’re on your own. He stated such in one of the December debates.

      • eddie47d

More insanity about death panels. That is why Conservatives are not known as Compassionate and haven’t been for decades. They have moved into the polar opposite of staking claim on that term.

      • DaveH

Are you still repeating the Compassionate Liberal mantra, Eddie? How many times must we prove to you that the Liberals are only Compassionate when they’re using other peoples’ money?
        http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2008/03/conservatives_more_liberal_giv.html

Just the fact that Liberals are willing to help themselves, without bad conscience, to other peoples’ hard earned money, demonstrates to any thinking people that they have no care or clue about compassion.

      • eddie47d

Go take a soak in the hot tub with your minions of greed Dave H. How much more will they siphon out of the American economy before the hand cuffs come out? They are the champs in conning and taking other peoples money…. I forgot that is free will donations to fund their next yacht.

      • Vicki

        Eddie47d writes

They are the champs in conning and taking other peoples money

I think Eddie47d is projecting again since liberals are well known for conning government into taking other peoples money (at gunpoint) for their pet “social” reforms.

Even, if McCain had won it would take more than four years to fix the mess that Bush left this country in. Thank God for Sarah Palin who by McCain, even by his own admission lost the election for him. President Obama, along with his lovely super smart first lady Michele has been a gift from God to this Country for the past four years. The republicans as well as the tea party knows this but they are too ashamed to admit this because they feel that we should still be in slavery and they are afraid of smart black people but who God bless are blessed is and who God cursed is cursed. I am so sorry republicans why are you trying so hard to get in the white house?

Something that we don’t have and never will have. Some of the concepts on there sound like some of the professors on the University I used to go to…all theory, but they could not even button their shirts. You go and believe in your utopia, you will end up a bitter person because none that you dream of will happen. I would not waste my time reading fiction.

sc, Yes I have a very good education, I worked hard for it and paid for it myself working 2 jobs at that time. My parents where poor people that lost everything they owned when Poland stole the land their family owned for the past 700 years at the end of WW-II.
Me thinks you confusing me with the current generation of rich in the US that lives on the high hog because of some inheritance they got when their hard working parents died.

      • DaveH

Your slander of Mises belies your claim of a good education, John.
Knowledge seekers learn as much as they can, whenever they can.
Mises “only viable in a perfect society”?
Quite the contrary, John. If you have truly read their writings you would know that one of their driving philosophies is that man can not possess the complex knowledge that would be required for Central Planners to effectively manage our Marketplace. Austrian economists are well aware of human fallibility. It is you Liberals who think there are those Leaders who are wise enough to centrally manage our Marketplace effectively.

      • Nadzieja Batki

My question to you is why are you punishing America for something Poland did to your parents? Yes I have heard the same stories before, if only they didn’t lose the house, the land, etc., in foreign lands, they would still be wealthy, etc..They would not have had to start at the bottom. They were all doctors in their country but here in America they cleaned offices, etc.. It is no longer a chip on your shoulder but a trunk of a tree.

Nadzieja – John just stated a fact. Why did you feel the need to jump on it? Just because he’s a liberal?

I say, Flashman, that people ought to get their information about Austrian Economics from Austrian Economists not their foes.
Just as they should get their information about what Bryan Caplan believes from Bryan Caplan, not an Austrian Economist.
No Political Economist (those who know where their bread is buttered and thus support Big Government) is going to have nice things to say about Austrian Economists. Thus, the Austrian Economists have no shortage of political enemies.

you have no clue what that article states do you? I consider myself somewhat familiar with Macro economics, and I had to read the article a few times to follow the calculations and theoretical applications.

Be honest, you wouldn’t know functional utility from electrical utility.

      • DaveH

        From Flashy’s linked article:
Bryan Caplan says — “Modern neoclassical economists habitually use “utility functions” to describe individuals’ preferences. For example, they may posit that an individual’s utility U=a*ln(quantity of apples)+(1-a)*ln(quantity of oranges)”.
It’s almost comical that anybody would believe an economist could put peoples’ diverse and complex needs, desires, and choices into a formula. No respectable Austrian Economist would presume such ability.
Here is an Austrian Rebuttal to Bryan Caplan:
        http://mises.org/daily/4223

Bottom line, where have all these NeoClassical Economists been as our country continues down the sewer drain? The proof is in the pudding. Big Government and their Court Economists have been dismal failures.

I don’t know why you would be surprised Mr. Livingston. The link you provided was an attack on totalitarian socialism and not on economics. The paper he wrote that i linked to was a comparison of Austrian Economic theory and practicability as against modern economic theory.

I make no judgment leaving it to others.

And don’t tell me that Iraq was a threat, we all know its bull-crap. Bush and Cheney should be tried as war criminals.

@Doug, The sanctions Clinton imposed on Iraq have killed far more civilians than the war has.

      • DaveH

Me too, Doug, but Obama got us into another war (Libya) and is mulling other potential conflicts (Syria, Iran). We’re still in Afghanistan, and the only reason we are out of Iraq is that the Iraqi Leaders didn’t want the US there.

Yours is arguably the most mindblowingly stupid post I’ve ever read and I’ve read MANY. Even Obumma himself said “if this country isn’t in any better shape after 4 years than when I get elected, I’ll only be a one term president”. So even the Fraud-in-Chief thought he could get it done. or he was lying. McCain and Palin both lost the election. McCain even denied we were in a recession. Stupid and out of touch. That ugly skank Michelle is as big a hypocrite as her phony husband. telling everybody how to eat while she feeds her fat ugly face w/ fast food and slugs down cocktail after cocktail on the taxpayer dime. We ARE in slavery, idiot. Please don’t invoke God’s name, you support Communism/Socialism, things God would NEVER support.

      • flashy

        We are in better shape.

March, 2009 the Dow was below 7,000. Today, it’s going to close at the highest since 2007, above 13,000.

March, 2009 job losses were 700,000 a month. At the end of February, 2009, the economy had bled 5 million jobs. Today, we are gaining jobs. Have been the past 28 months.

Last quarter of 2008, the economy was shrinking at an annual rate of 8.9%. We are now an expanding economy of approximately 2.4% and last year surpassed the former peak reached in mid 2007.
        .
Now…what were the plausible alternatives to the Stimulus Package of February, 2009?

We know the GOP had only one cry. Slash the budget to try to restore fiscal balance, in the expectation that this would reassure
businesses and investors that government finances were under control, and give them the confidence to invest and bolster the economy.

That was it. The GOP (and Mises) panacea to Nirvana.

Guess what. Where such was invoked as economic policy, it has been an unmitigated disaster.

Britain slashed its budget. It’s economy is still 5% smaller than pre-recession and this deficit shrinkage is forecast to be larger this year. The government’s debt is bigger, compared with the size of the economy, than pre-recession as the shrinkage in economic activity more than ate alive the budget savings..

Italy, Greece, Portugal, Ireland, Spain. All followed the austerity option. Today, they are all economic basketcases.

Compare that to three countries which used the stimulus economic policy. China, Germany, and the US.

        Facts are facts.

      • http://boblivingstonpl.wordpress.com Bob Livingston

        Dear Flashy,

You are fooling yourself and/or have fallen victim to the government propaganda ministry, which has always worked to prop up the market in order to give people a false sense of security. The rise in the Dow is not a measure of prosperity but a measure of a new Fed-induced bubble and inflation, which is running in excess of 6% using 1990-based CPI and in excess of 10 percent if using 1980-based CPI, according to shadowstats.com. (http://www.shadowstats.com/alternate_data/inflation-charts subscription required)

Like all Fed-created bubbles, this one is unsustainable and will burst. And this one will be worse than the last. Already, consumers are being 1) fooled into believing, falsely, that the economy is turning around, or 2) so hard up financially due to long-term unemployment and inflation, that they’re therefore once again racking up unmanageable credit card debt (about $16,000 per household).

Home sales continue in the doldrums, real unemployment remains above 22%, and there are 120,000 fewer jobs now than there were in February 2001.

You can wear your rose-colored glasses if you want, but until the debt and zombie banks and government spending and Fed money-creation is stopped, things are not going to get better, no matter how much government plays with the numbers and the way they’re derived.

And by the way, for you and denniso and those of your left-leaning ilk who are always critical of people (like me) who have been warning about fiscal calamity and preaching the virtues of sound money: The Dow last topped 13,000 the week of Oct. 8, 2007 and on that date gold was $741. The Dow has finally returned to where it was almost five years ago, and gold is up 131 percent in the same period.

        Best wishes,
        Bob

      • flashy

Mr. Livingston…the question was are things getting better. I used statistics which are a measurable basis in comparison. I will not argue with your numbers…though i could easily spend the day in disputing them. I would be interested in comparing those numbers with similar identically measured stats pre Obama administration. I was also pointing out the comparisons to those countries which fell for the false god of austerity measures to fight the most severe economic situation since the 1930′s versus those that opted for stimulus.

As for gold. Once again to neither’s surprise I differ from your opinion and question the investment. Main consumption demand is down (jewelry), and seeking safe haven during times of economic uncertainty explains the investment cycle. However, accounting for inflation, gold hasn’t gained quite what one would expect. And if Europe manages to pull itself through, and the US stays the course betting on America…it is my belief that bubble will pop soon. Silver will go first, and i wouldn’t bet a plug nickel on Chile and Peru right now. Inflation will be 2-4% not counting oil prices, and won’t go double digits unless the anti-American contingent in Congress manages to shove through strict austerity measures which are crippling half of Europe.

Cut spending without revenue increases, (or cut spending targeting social programs instead of targeting wasteful unproductive subsidy welfare for the corporations and wealthy)..or do just one but not the other…OK, I may come around to a short term investment for the metal.

We differ in opinion. Ain’t it great ?

Queastion: Why do you think that the Democrats and their lacky media pals attacked Sarah Palin so harshly during the last election?
Answer: Because they knew that enlisting a true conservative like Sarah Palin was best bit of campaign strategy that John McCain could possibly do. She was their biggest threat and they knew it. She wasn’t running for President, John McCain was. Yet they did more comparrisons of her to Obama than they did McCain and Obama.

Should have reminded the people that this clown is the first king in the history of America that had a US credit rating downgrade.

He is also the “first” to take office not being a natural born citizen.

  • 45caliber

Probably the biggest reason that I don’t like Oblama is his “Do as I say, not as I do” attitude.

The second biggest reason is that I don’t like our country being run by his appointments that override Senate approval and cabinet heads.

    • DaveH

I give Obama kudos for awakening the American people to the reality of Big Government. It is simply a very large gang of self-interested Leaders and their Crony Capitalists who are milking the public for everything they can get away with.
This has been going on since “honest” Abe Lincoln (and even before in a much lesser way), and the public has chosen to bury their heads in the sand in the hopes that it won’t affect them. But it inevitably does. As the gang grows they need more and more sustenance at the expense of the rest of us.
So, Obama has done us a huge favor, albeit unwittingly.

      • DaveH

Market Capitalists succeed by pleasing their consumers instead of the Politicians.

Can you add the freeloading OWS protestors supported by king oblama and pelosi ( not to mention the unions )… And while you are at it lets throw in the gay marriage ( equal rights ) debacle and since we are discussing that what about the border?… It kinnda seems to be a “free” planet as long as you go along with the Marxist king.

      CC:

You made one error on your example of re-distribution:

When they play the shell game (which hand is it in?) they actually are putting the money in their back pocket so it isn’t in either hand – and they get to keep it.

    • flashy

Skid….are you familiar with the Roman economic and social conditions and policies from…roughly the end of the Flavian period through Marcus Aurelius and his son Commodore? It’s very interesting and comparable to today. It wasn’t the equality of power, voting, social, class and income that did the Empire in. Concentration of wealth industry and land in a few and taken from the many, public policy heavily weighted to the wealthy, taxation falling upon the masses and the wealthy were in essence subsidized tax free, ending of public works projects, a shrinkage of quality public education, a professional military no longer recruited from the rank and file public, a withdrawal from intrnational relations and affairs with the border nations. Those are just some comparisons.

      • Raggs

        flushy… you are a worm…..

      • flashy

Raggs…but higher in the evolutionary scale than you.

Consider, transitory landless wealth was discovered/created by two great empires…the Romans and the Chinese. It was a necessary advnacement for the sheer size and complexity created the needs if those empires were to survive generation to generation.

Today, again, necesitated by the growth, complexity, and integration of world economies and of civilization, we are entering a new phase of necessity. Where the technological and communication phase of Man’s advancement is creating the necessity to develop/discover the science and morality of money.

We’re only just beginning that phase. It will be interesting to be around in 100 years or so to find what we ended up in developing.

I really feal sorry for you and all the gullible people who believe that Obama has not been a good president. All I hear in criticism is: Muslim, Socialist, Obamacare, Obummer, Then there are the continuing questions about his birth certificate. What a hoot. There are people who attack his healthcare law- when we are the only top tier county in the world that does not cover the healthcare of it’s citizens. People blame him or the still high unemployment -not subject ot his control. Some ill-informed blame his for the downgrade of the countries credit – when that can be layed at the feet of those Repubs who refused to raise the debt ceiling.

The most telling thing the Repubs in congress did it to vocalize that their primary goal was to impede Obama- True Americans

As a party they are ultimately washed up. As our younger generation grows up they will see the fallacy of “trickle down” “religious fundementalism” “union-bashing” American Exceptionalism when it is really “American Arrogance”

This election is a shoe in for Obama. Look who he is running against
      an American Ayatollah
      A Vulture Capitalist
A corrupt pseudo intellectual bomb thrower

It always amazes me how so many people lack morality in this country. It is IMMORAL to take the legally acquired money of hard working Americans and redistribute it to people who didn’t earn it. It doesn’t matter if you personally steal somebody else’s money or you vote for a Politician to do it for you — you are still a thief.
Even if we ignored the immorality of it, redistribution of wealth only succeeds until you run out of other peoples’ money. That’s why there are so many economically weak countries in the world. When you steal other peoples’ hard-earned money they understandably slack off and produce less, and you create a moral hazard because the recipients of that money sure aren’t going to work harder and be more productive. The end result is always the same — Impoverishment of the nation.
Argentina had the 10th best economy in the world in the early 1900s. Now, thanks to their people succumbing to the Progressive Siren Song, they are ranked about 21st on a PPP basis. And they were in much worse shape a few decades ago.
You can see the results of Big Government right here:

Unbelievable Anthony. Thats all I can say. Unbelievable. Ive seen people biased before, and Ive seen people with an agenda to push, but Ive never seen one that could so blatently lie about the truth, and make just plain “duh” statements that anyone reading them would know, that they are “duh” moments. Anthony,

It’s just wonderful that a liberal like yourself would believe a piece of misinformation, spoon fed by the MSM…Bush took a what and turned it into a what…???

Clinton left no one with a “surplus” let alone Bush…and yes Bush ran it up like a drunken sailor(no offense to sailors)…but only a brainwashed ignorant liberal would say what you said about a Clinton surplus without ever checking the facts…not factcheck or snopes…I mean real hard facts. It’s called crony government accounting practices.

The government can have a surplus even if it has trillions in debt, but it cannot have a surplus if that debt increased every year…While not defending the increase of the federal debt under President Bush, it’s curious to see Clinton’s record promoted as having generated a surplus. It never happened. There was never a surplus and the facts support that position. In fact, far from a $360 billion reduction in the national debt in FY1998-FY2000, there was an increase of $281 billion.

Verifying this is as simple as accessing the U.S. Treasury website where the national debt is updated daily and a history of the debt since January 1993 can be obtained.

When it is claimed that Clinton paid down the national debt, that is patently false–as can be seen, the national debt went up every single year. What Clinton did do was pay down the public debt. He paid down the public debt by borrowing far more money in the form of intragovernmental holdings (mostly Social Security).

I retired at 48 and I’am now 50 my investments have gone through the roof under O’Bama. Not bad for a person you call a troll. When Obama took office the National Debt was $10.7 Trillion.
3 years later the National Debt stands at $15.4 Trillion.

We need to take care of our wounded and sick in the head soldiers. The ones the news never show.

I noticed this is a bash Obama site. I think he has done good job considering what he has to put up with. The American people are not mature enough to handle a Black President in 2012. I only need to list one. ” If we vote an immoral man into office we are a traitor to our country.” Norah Webster. In his book AUDACITY of HOPE, Obama said. ” I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

    • Pat

I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.

This statement has been reworded from page 261 of Obama’s book “The Audacity of Hope”. His reference point is the internment of Japanese-Americans during WWII in which innocent immigrants were stripped of their rights. The original wording contains no specific mention of Muslims:

“In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakastani Americans, ……….they need specific reassuances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

Stop distorting or misquoting President Obama for your own satisfaction or purposes.

Apparently you haven’t read either Dreams From My Father or THE ROOTS of OBAMA’s RAGE. THE MANCHURIAN PRESIDENT is six years of extensive research on Obama and his ties to Socialist, Communist and other anti-American extremist. “The most profound insight i have read in six years about Obama.” Newt Gringrich.

  • Jesse Fell

There are a least 45,000 reasons to re-elect President Obama. That is the number of Americans who lose their lives every year because they haven’t been able to get health coverage, and so have gone without colonoscopies, Pap smears, blood pressure treatment, and all the other routine health maintenance that those of use who are covered take for granted.

Every year, 15 times the number of Americans who were murdered on 9/11 die because we haven’t taken the obvious steps to get them coverage.

Rule 2: Take control of the news media and use it to destroy the image of any natural leader the people might want to follow and to prevent the people from knowning what is going on in the legislative halls of the country.

Anthony: You need a good kindergarten level course in mathematics or economics so you don’t end up sounding like a complete buffoon when you post your crap on nthe Internet. However, you are a perfect example of a clueless and uninformed voter that Obama wants to attract. Your ignorance makes you ripe for the picking.

Kenny everything I said is true you are brain washed by Fox and Conservative talk radio. You belong to a party that thinks the Earth is 7000 years old, science is evil, evolution never happened and stem cell research is bad. You voted for Palin you are a complete moron.

Obama is toast…only because socialism is always so painful it cannot be hidden…
the pain is personal…gas/food/housing/jobless…IMHO he cannot steal enough votes
or tell enough bold lies to cover reality…no matter how many days he smiles and tries…
even a billion dollars cannot change the data…a trillion has been tried and failed.

Hi I am from Michigan. And yes I voted in yesterday`s primary. I have reservations about all of the Republican candidates, the only one that has a common sense way of thinking is Ron Paul. but I don`t thinking he has a China man`s chance of getting to be the Republican`s choise to for their party.
to those who have not voted for their Republican candidate perhaps Ron Paul can make a come back before their convention. Adrian

    To Everyone:
These things stated about firing Obama might be true, but, the problem is i can’t see how we can hire Romney for the job. To put it bluntly, the election Of Obama against Romney, the apparent Gop nominee, will be
the equivalence of a boxing match between either Mike Tyson or Vladimir
Klitscko against Barney Fife or Jack Tripper. Think about that ?
    Thanks!!

    • 45caliber

And that is supposed to be a reason to vote for Oblama??

What you seem to be saying is: “If you want to vote for the winner, even if he is terrible, you must vote for my guy.”

I’ll vote for someone else even if everyone else does vote for “the winner”.

  • Kenny

Anyone who supports Obama simply doesn’t have any grasp of what this country is all about, and what made it great! There is no question that Obama is doing everything in his power to destroy this country. The threat is existential. There is not a Founding Father who not be sick to his stomach witnessing what Obama is tryting to do to the country they fashioned under the Constitution. Obama may have been born in Hawaii, but he think like a European socialist (Daniel Hannan says he was born in Brussels).
As one who has closely examined Obama’s past, it is clear that at no time in his life was Obama exposed to traditional American values. Every point of contact was radical leftist, from Frank Marshall Davis, to Bill Ayres, to Jeremiah Wright, and the ghost of Saul Alinsky. And we know little of his college years because the MSM has outrageously allowed him to keep his records from the American people. You just know that he has something to hide.

The libs were all in a dither about what Bush was doing in the area of civil liberties as a response to the War on Terror. But the terrorist threat was real. What Obama is doing is far worse because he’s making permanent changes on the domestic front that far more seriously and directly curtail our liberties. But there complaints were always politically motivated. We were not into the Iraq War more than two months before the unity disappeared and they were looking for ways to attack Bush. The fact that they are so quiet now just shows the level of their hypocrisy. For the libs, it has always been
about the domestic agenda. The foreign policy issues were just a tool to regain power to pursue their socialist agenda on the domestic front.

“As one who has closely examined Obama’s past, it is clear that at no time in his life was Obama exposed to traditional American values”

Do you know that you have been exposed to “traditional American values” ? Think about that …

      • 45caliber

        Have you?

  • Rex

Wow! You’re right. The list of Obama’s accomplishments are awe-inspiring.

  • Rex

Just kidding! But when we have a president who openly ridiculed the Bible and in particular the “Sermon On The Mount,” quotes from the Islamic Koran, supports the building of a mosque at Ground Zero, cancelled our National Day of Prayer, appoints Muslims to key positions in the Department of Homeland Security and his Cabinet, bows to Muslim kings, supports Islamic terrorist organizations such as the PLO and Hamas, accepted illegal campaign contributions from Palestinian-affiliated organizations, negotiates with known anti-American Islamic extremists like the Muslim Brotherhood, challenges the Constitutional rights and right-to-life beliefs of the Catholic Church, supported the violent overthrow of a friendly Egyptian government, and encourages religious scorn and dissent … a man who falsely claims to be Christian but celebrates neither Christmas nor Easter … a man who gave away nearly a billion dollars in U.S. taxpayer money to rebuild mosques in foreign countries … a man who believes that “the sweetest sound on Earth is the Muslim Call to Prayer” … a man whose active support of a Muslim presidential candidate in Kenya contributed to the burning of more than 300 Christian churches, the destruction of 42,000 homes and farms, and the slaughter of nearly 2,000 Christian women and children … then I would say that we have a major problem and would ask: “Where then is the separation of church and state?” Is this not a flagrant abuse of executive power, privilege and influence? Why is it that he can use religion and racism to his own personal advantage, and yet denounce those who would question his use of such tactics?

And if this same man believes that our Constitution is fundamentally flawed, that the singing of our National Anthem promotes and encourages violence, and that it’s not necessary to place his hand over his heart when the Anthem is played or when reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to Our Flag, then the problem becomes a source of genuine concern. And if then this same man believes that his decisions should not be questioned or subject to Congressional approval, falsely blames what he calls a racially biased Congress for his own incompetence and repeated failures, and then calls upon the American people to give him the dictatorial power required to circumvent Congress, then this concern, compounded by his own actions or lack thereof, can only be interpreted and defined as sedition, which is of course synonymous with TREASON.

BREAKING: Dow Jones Closes Above 13,000 For The First Time Since May 2008
Under Obama stock market up 56%; under Clinton up 224%, under Bush, down 22%.

The success of the stock market under Obama is particularly notable considering the majority of Republicans believe he is a “socialist,” presumably out to destroy private enterprise. Taxes are lower now than they were at any time under George Bush and far lower than they were during most of Reagan’s terms. 30 US corp’s spent more on lobbying than they paid in federal income taxes. Only one of the 30 paid any federal income tax at all. Charges of socialism are irrational and absurd.

  • Kandi

Boy, a great many liberals and idiots are now reading and commenting on Mr. Crystal’s work in the negative. He must be doing something right and truthful or the unreasonable, unwashed would not have to take such offense at the examples of the truth.
I grow afraid of these people. I am afraid that they breed and vote. Please don’t breed or vote!
Isn’t it amazing how an opinion that is the opposite of a liberal’s is wrong, and he or she cannot just agree to disagree? They have to call names and force their will on you in an offensive militant way?
I happen to agree with Mr. Ben Crystal on every point and look forward to his video clip every week.
I applaud his conviction and I will continue to listen to him.
Most of the denial filled haters here are doing what the immortal words of the Bard described, “methinks he doth protest too much.”

    • 45caliber

      Kandi:

I’ve insisted for years that any woman who goes on Welfare should have the injection that prevents them from having kids until they come off it. That would cut the Demo vote by about 60%.

Kandi- I think it’s rather odd that you say “Boy, a great many liberals and idiots are now reading and commenting on Mr. Crystal’s work in the negative. He must be doing something right and truthful or the unreasonable, unwashed would not have to take such offense at the examples of the truth.” – and then go on to say how liberals call names. You mean names like “idiot” and “unwashed.” Take a look in the mirror, honey.

I survey all around and witness despair, distrust, dishonesty, and division in every rank of government, in every social circle, in all media. I fear the worst for the USA and future generations. I see corruption at the highest levels of government including the executive office where the monies taken from the hard work of employees and the profits of entrepreneurs fill the trough and our President doles out financial gifts to his lackeys. He drives our nation into debt by reckless spending that even if stopped now will take my grandchildren’s lifetime to clear off the books. Those that have helped make our great nation are vilified and labeled as greedy uncompassionate selfish and now unpatriotic. If those who already pay 80% of the nation’s debt don’t allow higher taxation to fund more freebies to the leeches draining our country, then additional epithets are easily thrown such as extremists, rightwing radicals, dangerous backward thinking, racists, and bigots. Wow, is that all?
I can’t imagine Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Lincoln, Kennedy or Reagan supporting such division and denigration of the peoples of this nation. Does anyone else feel like the proverbial frog in the pot of water, slowly going from warm to boiling and not noticing? Had the changes that have progressively robbed this nation of its ideals, pride, determination, drive, compassion, and God-inspired character transpired in short order, we all would be outraged. We have become so used to the relentless nibbling away and evolution of social and political movement that we don’t even pay attention any more. This is the new normal!! Where is the OUTRAGE?????????????
    So here is my list of grievances, all in one place, so I can comprehend them in aggregate;
I educated myself and became a professional working for America’s best companies, progressing my career steadily and diligently, only to find myself still living within a couple paychecks of jeopardy, and Obama wants MORE!
I have paid for my share of a promised retirement, to find the fund has been robbed and this pack of political thieves simply say get used to it, the funds can’t support you and you will have to work longer and live my old age in poverty.
My children to whom I have taught the values of integrity, honesty, hard work, discipline and determination are turned away under guise of diversity and racial preference.
Abortion is a woman’s right to kill her baby.
If you believe in marriage, you are a gay basher.
America owes the other nations of the world an apology (for being a military and economic power).
Killing America’s industries is a “good thing” in the name of making room for future emerging “green” industries.
The USA should pay undeveloped nations for using up all the energy.
Spending a trillion dollars more each year is also good(?) as this levels the playing field when our money is taken from the wealthy and distributed to the poor (Isn’t this communism, that our fathers fought and died fighting against?).
Removing GOD from all public venues and even forcing believers to act in betrayal of their faith.
Allowing illegals to live and work in an already depressed labor market.
Forcing all Americans to endure security programs that won’t allow racial profiling (at huge expense) in the name of political correctness.
Dismantling the best military in the world, and thus diminishing the stature of the USA in the eyes of the nations of the world including our sworn enemies.
Discarding the Constitution of the US that they all swore to support and defend against all enemies foreign and domestic.
Who are we America? Do you recognize her greatness anymore? Or is she a fond memory.
Who are you, John and Jane Doe, living in Anywhere USA? Are you OK with the “fundamental changes” and the “Hope” of empty promises? How much of the $5 TRILLION of additional debt made its way into your pockets? Will your children live a better life than you? Is their future secure?

I think I know the answers. So why aren’t you MAD AS HELL?

Think about it….. but not too long because America is disappearing before our eyes.

  • Kenny

Dave67: If you had half a brain, you’d be a half wit. Or am I giving you too much credit?

The president has a great deal of power to at least marginally lower prices by pursuing all options for energy production. Don’t you realize that Obama has sold his soul to the radical environmentalists who want you out of your car and taking public transportation because they have an irrational fear of CO2, which poses ZERO threat to mankind? We have the largest energy supplies in the world if we would only tap them. I can remember another Democrat buffoon, Bill Clinton, arguing drilling in ANWAR, for example, because it would take at least 10 years before the oil was available. That was more 15 years ago. And the Obamanation himself said that “Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.” Had Congress passed cap and trade, things would be far worse. Idiot!

Its funny how when something goes bad , its President Obama’s fault, But what happen when Bush did all that he did to this country , so wake up , quit playing this stupid ass blame gamming shit .. Both parties are the GOVERNMENT , not one party BOTH .. it that democrats has more of the power to spend the funding .. and what about all those people losing their jobs and obama extended the funds to continue unemployment , why ? because the other party seems to like having a field day shipping our american jobs to other countries .. but they still get paid , and you stupid ass people blame the president .. its all about the parties not the presidents .. so look at the choices that the president has to face , and who do you think is really running this country …

The left wing media thinks we, the people are fools! All they do is shore up this inept, forked tongued, commie! The unemployment numbers are staged, due to the mis-calculations of those who have GIVEN up looking for work! Yet, the media tells those without the ability to”think critically” how great it is for Obastd! This community agitatoe has done NADA since his inglorious inaguration! NO budget in 3+ years! Little, if any, legislation passed due to the democRATS in the Senate! And this “little LIAR” wants to blame all on the “do nothing, Republican Congress”! Hey Obozo, u r NO Harry Truman, and we, the people are on to your “snake oil salesman” persona! Mr. Obama, we plan to insure your stunning, landslide DEFEAT on November 6,2012!

  • tom conten

    Why Obama will be re-elected:
    1. Bush is well known as the “vacation president.” Hacking brush in Texas for a month before 9/11 is hardly a working vacation for a president.
    2. 57% of Catholics favor contraception coverage
    3. Gas prices have risen and fallen over the last 40 years. I remember getting up at 5 am in the 70s to get in line on odd/even days to fill up. Don’t you?
4.If you don’t like the Hollywood crowd you are a hypocrite if you go to the movies, rent Dvds, watch TV or enjoy any of their creative talent.
    5. American made high mileage car-ridiculing will never help elect a Republican
    6. Criticizing women for not being beautiful will not elect a Republican
    7. Belittling Hispanics who work hard is wrong, wrong, wrong and a major vote loser.
    8. You are not going to scare people to vote Republican by saying magic words like “Attorney General Eric Holder.” Very scarey!

You have a lot more work to do in undoing the damage caused by your modern day education.

    • Liztalk

So true!! I’m sure you could have listed at least a couple dozen more reasons why Pres Obama will be re-elected.

But I think if you include ALL people, not just Catholics, over 90% approve of contraception. It seems like the Republican party has taken the position that birth control is evil. And if not evil, at least shameful. Most people will reject this thinking and will think that position is shameful….

Reasons for health care for all. what if your babysitter, coworker or bus driver or passenger had TB and you got it. what if the used car salesman had whopping cough, and you got it and gave it to your granddaughter. What if you grandson had hemophilia and maxed out his heath insurance. what if your wife had a premie baby at the cost of 1 million dollars of care in the first 6 months. These have been in my family or my line of work. This health care can be about self sufficincy, or we can step up for the common good and still shop around for the best deal or we can insure everyone

Obama is a corporate employee, and he will do as he’s told! Sure, we can reason and say; but he’s in charge, he’s the President; surely he could have a change of heart, muster-up some back-bone and character, show those big-bad Republicans how its done; that being, the right thing, of-course, as well, confirm the high praises constantly heaped upon him by his starry-eyed fan-club. But apparently, he seems incapable, perhaps unwilling, perhaps scared for his life? Who knows? But one thing is for sure, not doing the right thing for this Country, if nothing else, will keep him alive!

  • Michael

    The lesser of the Evils
I have been asked just who are we suppose to vote for in the coming Presidential election, that all the candidates are just as corrupt as the other. Well I am not going to sit here and tell you who to vote for. I haven’t made up my mind on who I will vote for in the Primary Republican race either. I can tell you that come time in the General Election that I will be voting Republican no matter who fills that spot.
When I sit here and hear a Democrat elected official call the Republican repesinitives demons and we have a Democrat as President who is trying to undermine the U.S. Constitution with his own agenda. A President that has not shown one ounce of Christian values nor has he shown any respect for the U.S. Constitution and the values in which our Nation was founded on. This country has never had a President like the one we have in office now and I pray we never do again. The Government cant even run itself and yet they think they can run our life’s. With every Bill that this administration tries to pass they try to take away a little more of our freedom and rights . Obama care (National Healthcare ) what a joke, just let this stay in practice and get sick with a terminal illness and see if you get the treatment that you should get . You will be cast to the side unlike if you had private insurance. And who do you think will pay for all the National Healthcare the Government , no you will with your tax dollars (nothing is free in this life ,nothing ).
Obama Has Declared a Spiritual War on Our Land
We are engaged in a spiritual battle for our nation, our freedom and our families.
Only days ago the Obama administration spat in the face of believers across the land when Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius finalized a regulation forcing people of faith to pay for and promote birth-control, sterilization and early-term “Morning Aft…er” abortions through ObamaCare. With his Abortion Mandate ruling, the Obama administration has declared war on religious liberty.
There should be no doubt that we are in the fight of our lives — a fight that goes far beyond flesh and blood.
This is a darkly spiritual battle of epic proportions that demands people of faith be on their knees — praying for the very soul of our nation!
These aggressive government attacks on our religious freedom, should serve as a reminder to us that we need to be on our faces before the Lord — lifting up our leaders, our nation, and asking for His intervention.
I know many people who feel uncomfortable in a “prayer warrior” role. I understand that a relatively small remnant of believers will stand in the gap for our nation during this time, and that’s okay.
The Bible is filled with stories of regular people, and small groups doing amazing things with God’s anointing.
The Old Testament story of Gideon immediately comes to mind. You may recall that God chose Gideon to lead the Israelites into battle. Gideon was terrified, but he made himself available to the greatness of God, and with an underwhelming army of just 300, Gideon defeated the formidable and frightening Midianites!
I urge you to do some research of your own on everyone that runs for the office of President of the United States and you weigh the facts yourself . Don’t just listen to CBS, ABC ,NBC or Fox news and let them tell you what each one stands for. Search the internet ,search in the library just get the facts for yourself then weigh them out for yourself . It is time we opened our eyes people and see just what is going on around us and start to fight back for what is ours and what we will leave for our children and grandchildren. Do not let this Government take total control of our lives’. Don’t let them remove God and our religious believes from our daily life’s. If we sit back and do nothing that is what will happen, we will become no better than the Evil that takes our freedom and our way of life away from us.
It’s time to say NO! It’s time to make a change and not the change that Obama is trying to push upon us.
Stand up America and fight for your rights and your freedom before they are taken from you. United We Stand One Nation Under GOD.
    May God Bless America.

  • Larry

The rhetoric on this page is certainly entertaining. And definately partisan! Personaly, neither the conservatives running or the current liberal combined are qualified to run this country. Both parties have driven this country to the point of default not once, but twice! That has never happened with any previous administration whether D or R. And who paid the price? Us, not the politicians, but the common everyday American. Where was the leadership? There is now a national transportation bill being considered and it’s more screwed up than a soup sandwhich. It has turned into a political free for all brawl with more “riders” and “amendments” than a dog has fleas. Both sides are equally guilty for proposing everything from birth control to environmental protection to restoring the Gulf on a bill that is supposed to “repair our roads, highways, mass transportation and other transportation related infrastructure.” Where did that go? Again, partisanship by the leaders of both parties is crippling our nation and Congress from actually doing an honest day’s work and passing a bipartisan bill intended for one subject only to improve this nation. Personaly, our government has no rights over a woman’s reproductive choices. It is invasive, insulting and dangerous for those we call our wives, mothers, sisters and daughters. It is their decision alone or with their partner to decide on birth control or abortion. In order to survive into the next century and beyond we need our environment. Our environment is our only renewable source for food, water and clean air. Those parties that would destroy this for their personal gains need to be eradicated or heeled to prevent more national disasters like the Gulf. The current crop of concervatives don’t believe that and have been hell bent on passing every possible bill to regulate women and destroy the environment. Our country faces a staggering debt thanks to many on both sides and it will affect our children’s futures. Yet no one individual or party has come forward to say that he/she or they “will work” with the other party to resolve this crisis. Actions speak louder than words. And all I’ve seen is more dysfunctional government, name calling and this so called “political gamesmanship” from all of them. Another very troubling issue is the intent by the liberals now to eradicate our 2nd Amendment rights by means of an international treaty. That treaty will by pass our whole judical and legislative branches because of the required compliance by the US. That means all of our guns can be banned and taken by the government to comply. Or to own a firearm means an individual must have a license and permit issued by an international committee. The liberals are to blame for this, so wake up! A gun free America does not = Crime free.
This country was founded by rebellion and the right of every individual to maintain and own firearms for defense of home, family and nation. Don’t forget that!

    • tgeer

There at least four reason on the domestic level as to why Obama should not be reelected. They are:
    1. The end of the manned space program (John Kennedy must be spinning in his grave);
    2. Trillions of dollars in additional federal debt (Andy Jackson, wherever he is, must be furious);
    3. Dividing the American people along class lines (Teddy Roosevelt has to be blowing his top);
    4. The lowering of the credit of the American government and the US dollar (Somewhere, Alexander Hamilton is quietly weeping for his country!).
With the possible exception of James Buchanan, who stood-by as the country descended into the Civil War, no President has ever deliberately done so much damage to the United States of America in such a short period of time as Barak Obama. Others have blundered, but Barak Obama has deliberately ended the manned space program; proposed ever greater deficits; gloried in his role as class warrior; and done nothing to try to reverse the downgrading of the US government’s credit. This man must be replaced.

  • donald

Seems everybody skirts around the MAIN menu! That being (to me)who is Obama really?? There basically is no really information on him! Except his preacher, and Alinsky! Also the books he wrote! Which some question! Since in Chicago he was given credit for legislation which was the work of others! Because some leaders in the demo party had plans for him! (I believe it was really Soro’s!!) Obama said “I was told I had a special gift” !! I believe the GIFT was SPEAKING and AUDACITY!! So here a guy from the corrupt city of Chicago learned how to “PAY to PLAY”! Much like the mafia! But this is also one that appears to “hate America” and MOST of its people! That is “unless they agree” with whatever HE PLEASES! The first time I understood this “jerk” was when as a “candidate” talking to people in the neihborhood! He came across a “plumber” that actually asked him some questions that the “abominator to American values” did not like! He felt the plumber had made him “look bad”! So then his “lawyer cronies” went after the plumber and tryed to destroy him! It was then I knew this man was a “danger” to freedom loveing peoples! Never in my 75 years have I ever heard of such a thing ! With ANY OTHER politician that ran for president! What AUDACITY!! Well now what has this president done since this! In one of his speechs he said no nation should be wealthier or stronger than another! (And the “abominating media ” never even asks him what he me’nt!) Sorry folks have to go I will finish later!

We have to keep Obama and get rid of the Republicans in Senate and Congress. They just care about the religious right and the rich, and to hell with the people who work for a living, and serve their country..

      Neil Swan,

Repubicans are the party of the rich, and only care about pleasing the nutty religious right.

Its not a party issue, Coal, Its a corruption issue, and that, throughout the whole damn system! What our political system desperately needs, is a blood transfusion; anything else, will result in disaster! Btw, what manner of death do you prefer, death by left-wing fascism, or death by right-wing, fascism? Haven’t you realized yet, that both parties, although seemingly using different methods and rhetoric, conspire towards the same goal; to achieve the desires of their employers, and masters? Do you honestly believe that Obama has your best interest in mind? Come on Coal, you’re smarter than that.

      • donald

Democrats are the party of the BILLIONARES! That pay 15 per-cent tax or less! I think they should only be allowed to net 1 million dollars! How about you! I would like 3000 a mth! But then I am a GREEDY sort! The more the government takes from the tax payer the more power they have over THEM!!

Eight reasons to can obama NOW:
1.) Record deficit spending fueled by fiat money printed by the Fed. Average American now owns more than $35,000 in government debt
2.) Record sustained high unemployment despite this President spending $800 billion to put Americans back to work, more money than was spent to fight the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and more discretionary spending that any previous Presidents COMBINED
3.) Record sustained high gas prices, CONTINUED dependence on foreign oil, an energy policy that rewards cronies in the wind turbine (GE) and solar industries (Solyndra) and pals like Soros who invest in Brazilian oil drilling companies
4.) Record post-recession recovery that has still not seen unemployment rates and housing prices return to pre-2008 levels
5.) Record number of Americans on long-term UC benefits
6.) Record number of Americans receiving some form of government assistance including food stamps
7.) Record foolish spending on programs such as cash for clunkers which did nothing but help his pals in the auto industry, which by the way, taxpayers still own about $3 billion in GM who used taxpayer dollars to award bonuses to its executives
8.) Record number of appointed czars who are intruding into every aspect of Americans lives including telling Americans what cars to drive, how much money private employers can pay their employees, etc.

Please be advised that there is NO SUCH THING as “Chairwoman” So-and-so! The holder of a committee chair MANS (operates) the committee, hence chairman is correct for both genders. If the position is held by a female, she should be referred to as Madame Chairman, not the Chairwoman. I really detest Political Correctness.

I certainly hope RON PAUL gets the nomination , because whether he does or not I am putting his name on my ballot . If Obamass gets elected because of those of us that do this all I can say is they get what they have coming to them . I am 70 years old and tired of voting for the lesser of two evils .

Jeff H I respect your “recall”, ability. How do you do it… You, Kenny and Rex are correct (dare I say right) in so many ways, none of these liberal simpletons can even approach your logic with their treasoness blather. I would love to add to y’alls insight but alas, I can only submit my fervent appreciation. Maybe, if you might, could you shed some insightful light on the proposition of closing loopholes and generating a two tiered if not flat tax to generate funds to aid us in obliterating this obammmanation

Another mound of fertilizer wrapped in Fright Wing squawking points and tied with a ribbon of Ben Crystal’s flat humor—but just one thing needs to be pointed ou tto his readers:
This whole “Gasoline Price” thing—look, President Barack Hussein Obama is Big Oil’s bete noire and they most obviously do not want him reelected. If our very low gasoline prices (compared with the civilized world) seem too high for lazy Amerikkkans who might use it as further reason to send Obama packing, then why on Earth would THEY want to drop the prices? Are you people THAT hypnotized by the neo-conartists?

Do any of you ask yourselves how it is that, once again,Big Oil has amassed RECORD profits? How is it that you excuse the very people who SET the price of oil and blame someone who DOES NOT?!?

The oil companies will not lower the prices because they cannot stand the thought of four more years of a president who, while a disappointment of many levels, has made it clear that our reliance on filthy fossil fuels must come to an end at some point so why not get on track NOW!

Do not even think about pinning the price you pay to fill your guzzler to drive you one mile to McDonald’s on the president’s most awesome smack-down of the Keystone XL pipeline because it has nothing to do with the price you pay. The price paid at the pump you can thank the oil companies for—the companies that are rolling in YOUR money.

PS– Ben, does your mom know you are smoking weed in her basement studio? I mean, “polls” that show Ron Bawl beating President Obama? Really?!? Maybe you should switch to the edibles—more of an overall ‘body high’ and less apt to leave you is such a delusional state.

OMG ! I knew the Republicans were crooks and during the Regan Administration taxpayers were forced to bail out the FDIC for the first time in my lifeetime. Now the same thing has happened but even worse and much more expensive. So this just happend to take place under two Republican Presidencies. Um ! That speaks volumes for me. The conserative bible bangers get all up in arms over abortion and birth controll but they never speak of the adverse effects of someone having a child they can’t afford or don’t want so the child is supported by wealfare and abused by a mother that never wanted the child. Then they complain about having to support these children. I do believe they removed a very important verses from there bible. One of them being I’m my brothers keeper. They defend there position by saying everyone should have a job and support themselves as they encourage corporations to move there jobs to countries that pay almost nothing and do not provide any health care for there employees. Mitt Romney boast about creating jobs. Well the record will show he destroyed thousands of good paying jobs and replaced them with minimum wage jobs with no benifits. The greed that drives these individuals will be the greed that destroys this once great nation.

Our women look like women? What kind of a sexist statement is that? And just what, pray tell, are women supposed to look like in your male-dominated, sexist world? As for intelligence, I find little intelligence in either Anne Coulter or Michele Bachmann. They, like many others currently in politics are bullies. Period. We are trying to teach our children in our school systems NOT to bully, NOT to condemn others. . .all I hear out of Anne’s mouth is condemnation if you do not believe as she does. . .I teach my children to stay clear of bullies and I do the same. . .these women are two of the reasons that I have swung far away from the GOP. . .

Supporting the liar commits treason against America. Stop believing if a lie is stated enough times it becomes truth. Congress has committed treason by accepting the liar as president. The Constitution was ignored to put him into office. If you support him then you support Marxism. Any one who supports Obama is not a patriot. It is time for revolution. Do you know how to use a gun? Every patriot should. The leftists want guns outlawed so only outlaws will have guns. That’s because every leftist knows the guns are pointing at them. Patriotic Americans don’t want a leftist regime but leftist deceit, lies and illegal voting tactics will continue to put the leftists into office unless patriots stand firm.

Wow!! These last few writers since I left ,sound like they belong in the”looney tunes”! Now as to the “abomination” that will lead into “desolation”? His appointed Czar of homeland security has said those fighting in Afghanistan could be a threat to “freedom” when they come home! And also the threat could come from Christians in particular those that home school their children! Imagine that folks! Christianity and Judism are the foundations America was established by! Remember? We are “endowed” by our CREATOR with certian RIGHTS??? Not Obama!! And America was “created” for a people of FAITH WITH FREEDOM and JUSTICE for ALL! Why is it based on faith! Because our “founding fathers” knew that to be FREE ,the RESTRAINING of EVIL must come from WITHIN the people !! TO BE FREE! A rejection of these facts, leads EVENTUALLY to a nation of peoples that MUST be RULED by FORCE!! And few people understand that all thru the world nations were ruled by KINGS and DESPOTS which is why people came to America! Now as to Obama’s part? Every thing he is doing is to “destroy” America and bring it DOWN! There is STRONG evidence of a connection with” Islamic Radicals” and “communists”! As some Islamic people I knew said that Islam is “USED” by “OTHERS” for their “political” power! Well folks look around! Is it strange that we would support the “radicals” in Egypt? Which the “brotherhood” most likely will rule? When Mubaruk was at peace with,or constrained the “Islamic radicals”?? But we made sure he was “thrown” under the bus by America! Then there is Libya again most likely the Islamics will take-over there! And that was another thing my Islamic friends said was “why do you hate communism so much! I in turn said well why did you come to America then? You were closer to the USSR than to America! They just laughed and said ya that is right! Folks I am concerned about the coming election! Obama is already making it a RACIAL thing! And L.Farakhan (misp) is saying that RACISTS want to kill him! OBAMA! Well suppose the election is close! And it is found the Obamanites have done things ILLEGAL in the vote counts or other fraud! Or also they might accuse repubs like they tried to pull-off in Florida?? Obama is still president!! Repubs and America better be prepared! Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and L.Farakhan will be out “faning the flames” of “hate”!! And Eric Holder, the nations top law enforcement, will still be in charge! I tell you folks America needs a lot of prayer! Could the left pull it off? Well folks have we ever REALLY LEARNED ABOUT THIS PRESIDENT?? WHY?? FEAR OF RIOTS!?? Or worse??

  • TML

    1. It’s The Constitution.

The number one reason not to vote for Obama is “Four Words: Attorney General Eric Holder”? What kind of cultural and left/right paradigm war instigation piece is this?

Nothing about extending the Patriot Act.
Nothing about assassinating an alleged traitorous American in a foreign country without charge or trial.
    Nothing about the NDAA.
Nothing about unilaterally waging unjustified, undeclared wars in Libya.

All of which are direct assaults on the freedom and liberty, and all of which Obama is directly responsible. THESE are the reason why Obama should not be voted for again, above all others, DESPITE any perceived ‘good’ that he has done.

    • Mr. Smith

TML!!!!!!!!!!!! Of all the comments I read here, yours is the only RATIONAL one! Good one on you!

As a side comment on the folks on the so-called gun rights… trying to take away the 2nd amendment. As a security consultant of 20+ years. Your advertising of being a weapon hater, only opens the door to those that want to come into your home/business… and take without permission your belongings.

If you do not like weapons… good on you. Do the rest of us a favor, leave our 2nd amendment right alone. I for one have not just my second amendment in my home and business, but also my amazing dogs who will do the same as I… protect.

If every American had half that sense… crime would reduce in half.

      Regards.

Funny…. It looks as though Anthony ruffled a few feathers.

I like the way these (people?) laugh at the $70.00 fill up price and justify it by sayong that he drives a Hummer. Guess what, I drive a service vehicle and it costs me somewhere between $65.00 and $105.00 to fill up. Do you want to laugh at me?
Also … When gas prices shot up to $3.50 and higher per gallon during the Bush administration, the same (people?) who laughed about the $70.00 statement were jumping all over the place to blame the high prices on Bush. They went so far as to call repeatedly for investigations. Tell me, is that not the definition of hypocrisy?

  • Ed Nopp

The other day I read a post on a well known social network that listed eight reasons why that person was going to vote for Obama. I will not post those comments as I haven’t been given permission to do so, however the following are my responces to those comments. That person got upset that I would actually post responces on his/her wall comment.
    My Responces:
    1. Response to your first reason to support Obama.
During the Clinton administration President Clinton asked his wife, first lady Hillary Clinton, to head up a commission to create a governmental administered healthcare program. She did exactly as the President asked bringing together a committee to redesign the American health program to include free medical for everybody. The plan was soundly turned down by the general populace and then abandoned by the President and his wife.
Since then there have been small tweaks in regulations here and there, but no major changes by regulation.
All of a sudden Obama gets elected and he demands an absolute reconstruction of our healthcare plans. The major portion of the public did not support this total overhaul, but the Democratic Party pushed on and in fact voted for this program in the dark of night. NOBODY in congress had any idea what the bill said because nobody had read it, but they voted for it anyway.
There were many warnings by Republicans of what was in the bill. But the Democrats always countered with, ‘That’s not true. How can you say that when the bill hasn’t even been written yet?’ When the bill was passed there were many blanks left open so that one unelected person or a panel of unelected people could design the end result.
This bill is designed so that eventually the insurance companies cannot afford to continue to operate and then all healthcare will be paid for by my and your tax dollars. If you can tell me just one government program that has proven to be efficiently run I would be very interested in hearing about it. I am a couple years older than you and I have never heard of one yet.
Many things could have been done to better regulate insurance coverage and obtain affordable healthcare for everybody, but the Obama administration chose to do it this way in order to advance his plan to “FUNDAMENTALY CHANGE” AMERICA.
Nobody has yet heard what the end result will be, because the result can be changed daily to best suit whichever party happens to be in power. As long as people are so naive as to think that the Government, (any government), is only thinking of the welfare of the people, we will have this type of action. This is exactly how Democracies have fallen throughout history. Promise the people everything they want.
    2. Response to your second reason to support Obama.
The troops in Iraq were scheduled to be withdrawn by Bush exactly at the time that Obama withdrew them. Check it out. This may hurt your feelings, but the plan was not Obama’s; it was Bush’s plan.
The war in Afghanistan was turned over to NATO after the Taliban were chased out of the country. True, Bin Laden (sp?) had not been captured or killed, but then it’s kind of hard to accomplish that when a supposed allied country is hiding him. This whole area is a rats nest of nefarious creatures and had Obama pulled out of Iraq and not built up Afghanistan we would be far better off.
Obama, though, can’t even decide who our true friends of the world are. He seems to keep bowing and scraping to all of our enemies and pseudo friends. That’s real sound foreign policy alright.

    3. Response to your third reason to support Obama.
Free accessible healthcare for women in the form of birth control was already in place. You ask, “Why is this still an issue?” That’s simple, because Obama’s healthcare plan makes everything an issue. The “unelected person” I mentioned in my first response decided that all religious organizations must violate their religious beliefs and provide for insurance in the area of abortion and contraceptives. You may look at this as a women’s health issue. Christian churches, and other churches, look at this as a child’s death issue. It goes absolutely against the First Amendment of the Constitution.
Obama came out with a ‘plan’ around the mandate by saying the insurance companies could not charge for that portion of the coverage. The issue was not paying for the coverage; it was the intrusion of the Government in and against religious practices. The Government has no business telling a religious organization that they must provide something that is contrary to their religious beliefs.
Then the brainy one, Pelosi, comes out with a statement that “The Catholic Church doesn’t even enforce this issue.” How stupid can you get? No Church can CONTROL what their members do; they can only give them the teachings. The individual member’s actions are entirely up to him/herself. That is called self-determination or freewill, something foreign to the Democrat Party leadership.

    4. Response to your fourth reason to support Obama.
Over the years there have been many bills signed into law to make women equal or above equality, (declaring women as a minority), in the workplace. The real problem is that women who do not make the same amount of money as men in the workplace, are generally not there as long mainly because of childbearing. Nothing against childbearing, but how can anybody expect to receive the same pay as their counterparts if they are not productive in the office?
As far as the “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy goes … gays and heterosexuals were under the same rules. Granted, it was aimed at the gays and lesbians, and they could not be open about their preferences, that ruffled a few feathers. When I was in the service, there were gays and lesbians serving with me. They just kept their preferences to themselves because that lifestyle was not accepted at all in those days.
I’m still not sure what to think of this issue. I’m not for it and I’m not against it.
    5. Response to your fifth reason to support Obama.
The federal Government needs to get out of the regulation of education totally. Making education a national norm creates lower standards. The Education Commission has become a political football first kicking one way then the other depending upon the wind at the time. Education should, at the highest governmental instance, be a States Issue. Read the Constitution.
Bush, instead of creating the “No Child Left Behind” program, should have done away with the Cabinet position of the Education Secretary. Had he done this, education would have been back at the State level.

    6. Response to your sixth reason to support Obama.
Oops … actually the fifth reason.
That was really a great investment. How many dollars was that? A “Green” company gets a boost to bankruptcy. Yup, great investment.
Then on top of that he orchestrated the greatest theft ever on shareholders of private industry. Shares were stolen from legal investors and given to unions. What a great guy. Unions have historically proven their nefarious ways, yet this BRILLIANT President hands them a multi-million (or was it billion) dollar gift.
The union is supposed to represent the employee, not be the employer … what a concept.

    7. Response to your seventh reason to support Obama.
Pay your fair share in taxes. That is actually a good idea, however, how about doing that through a fair method. Have you ever considered the flat tax? I believe that everybody should own a piece of America through taxes. In other words, even the 47% that pay no taxes on the low end should have to pay something too, even if it is only $1.00. The more people that get away with paying nothing, the worse government we get.
It’s kind of odd, but it seems that if people can vote themselves to get handouts, they tend to do that.
Tax everybody at the same rate and that problem goes away. If a person has no income then he/she pays nothing. If he/she earns any money … pay your “FAIR SHARE”.

    8. Response to your eighth reason to support Obama.
His inheritance problem was no different than several other Presidents who inherited recession, including Bush. Obama simply decided to handle it differently. I know that you will never agree, but had Obama done exactly nothing, our country would have come out of this recession long ago. The reason is because business owners would have brought us out. The actions that Obama orchestrated caused the recession to last longer than it should have. The so called 2.6 million employees put to work were not because of his policies, they were in spite of his policies.
The unemployment rate is being touted as being at 8.5% … that is a false report. Take your college education out there and try to get a job today. I don’t mean you personally, but those who have graduated. The jobs are not there.

    • Thinking About

Good post Ed, and I can also see Mr Earmark Paul is only buying votes in his district. He adds earmarks to bills he knows is going to pass and votes against them and when he brings home the bacon to his district he declares “Oh What a good boy am I”.

      • castaway

WTF are you babbling about? Do not bring Paul into this as he is not part of obamas fiasco. YOU and I know Paul would do a better job. But you liberals go ahead and have your obama, and in another 4 years, I can promise you, all you liberals, will be “crying the blues” like never before. Idiots!

    Endorses Obama Again

    Compiled by John Vennari

The June 29. 2011 edition of People’s World, the official organ of Communist Party USA, has formally endorsed Barack Obama for the President once again. The Commuist Party had previously endorsed Obama in 2008.

The article below is by Sam Webb, who is the national chairperson of the Communist Party, USA. (Also, see below on the connection between Obama and the left wing agitator, Saul Alinksy).- jv

Does it matter which party wins?

    by: SAM WEBB

Photo from People’s World website, the official journal of Communist Party USA.

It is obvious that there is a growing feeling of frustration and even anger among supporters of the Democratic Party with its performance over the past two years.

AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, speaking for the labor movement, strongly expressed this unhappiness in some recent speeches.

I am disappointed too with some aspects of the Obama administration’s domestic and foreign policy.

But I don’t forget that this administration governs in a very hostile political environment in which the right is laboring overtime to wreck its initiatives at every step of the way.

In addition, there are the structural pressures of governing in a capitalist economy and state.

Then there are conservative pressures coming from some congressional Democrats and members of the administration.

Everything can’t be explained away by the objective context, however. The president and his administration can be faulted for a number of policy decisions.

But the main question from a strategic point of view is this: Does it make any difference, from the standpoint of the class and democratic struggles, which party gains political ascendency?

Some – though not the labor movement nor other mass organizations of the American people – say no, it doesn’t.

Sam Webb is the national chairperson of Communist Party USA

Some even go a step further and say a Democratic victory creates popular illusions, which in turn weaken the people’s struggles. And the only way out of this vise is to form a third party now.

Communists don’t agree with either one of these views. In our view, the differences between the two parties of capitalism are of consequence to class and democratic struggles.

Neither party is anti-capitalist, but they aren’t identical either. Differences exist at the levels of policy and social composition. And despite the many frustrations of the past two years, the election of Barack Obama was historic and gave space to struggle for a people’s agenda.

If, on the other hand, the Republicans had been victorious in 2008 the character of class and democratic struggles would have unfolded very differently. Our movement would have been on the defensive from Day One, the Democrats would be running for cover, and the Republicans would have an unfettered hand in their efforts to liquidate the welfare state, roll back the rights revolution of the 1930s and 1960s, and crush the people’s movement – labor in the first place.

As for the wisdom of a third party, we have always advocated the formation of an independent people’s party at the core of which are the working class and labor, racially and nationally oppressed people, women, youth, immigrants, seniors, gay and straight, etc. It is essential for any deep-going social change. But its realization depends on more than our desire, more than our political-ideological attitude. Millions who have to be at the core of this party still operate under the umbrella of the Democratic Party, albeit increasingly in an independent fashion.

Moreover, to separate ourselves at this moment from these forces would be contrary to our strategic policy of building maximum unity against right-wing extremism now and in next year’s elections.

Now that doesn’t mean that we give up our advocacy of an independent people’s party, but we also understand that its formation is dictated by concrete political realities and strategic necessities. Nor does it mean that we hit the mute button when the Obama administration takes positions that we don’t agree with. Just as we show no hesitation in supporting, and fighting for, the administration’s progressive initiatives, we should have no compunction about taking issue with the administration when it takes positions that we don’t agree on.

Which is what we have done.

When someone says we are not critical of the administration what they usually mean is that our criticism isn’t as sweeping and categorical as they would like.

    • castaway

What you are telling us is that a third party somewhat aligned with the commy/democrats, would help to dilute the vote for any other party such as the republican party, or a T-Party group. You are also very subtly saying that you do not like the United States Constitution, or Bill of rights, that in itself allows you to spew your propaganda.

In all Commy countries, the opposition party is either heavily monitored, and prevented from saying what they want, arrested as political dissidents, or shot to death by a military firing Squad.

Commies take a country very slowly, by working on the usual frustration of the working class, the very poor, gays, and other minorities. They work to bind them all together, into a large voting machine. Then after the Commies are in power, all the peoples rights, and I say all, are deleted, and the state is then all powerful. WE only need to look around the world, and look at commy history to see this.

The commies are now doing this in America, and are organizing all the minorities, into a large group. The commies, are also in our government and schools blowing much sunshine up the butts of the students about how wonderful socialism/communism is.

I’m sure it will not work in America, and hope it will cause people to awaken from their politcal slumber.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1269908108 Joel Frank

The Communist Party USA supports many of the identical principles endorsed by the Democrat Party here in the United States. Joe Sims, co-editor of the Communist Party USA online magazine “People’s World” states among other things “the possibility that the communists may be able to ‘capture’ the Democratic Party entirely.” Sims goes on to brag that among other things , “heightened class and democratic struggle have all combined to produce an unprecedented situation and opportunity.”
The Communists are seeking to destroy this nation and they are using Democrat stooges to wage class warfare, pitting imaginary groups of haves against equally imaginary underclasses. The United States has no class structure at all…never has. Monarchies had them. Europe had them. China had them. India had them, but the U.S. NEVER had them. NEVER! Sure the United States has its poor, but they have the opportunity to climb the social class order if they have the ability. Take Barack Obama, as a good example. Please, take him!
I wonder what Democrats think of the revelation that the Communist Party is using them as the means to their ends–the destruction of our free enterprise system which is to be put under the control and direction of government bureaucrats. Are the Democrats so desirous of political power that they will willingly bend down with the foulist of the foul–COMMUNISTS—in order to see their ideology in perpetual power? The communists are perfectly clear that they are and will continue to use the Democrat Party to further their ends.

  • Michael

I was born a Democrat but the last 4 elections I have voted Republican and I will again this year.
I can honestly say this I have made more money with a Republican in office than I ever made with a Democrat. Obama has done nothing good for this country except for take out Bin laden, everything else he has tried is a failure.

  • T.N.Tsergas

If you like Barack Hussein Obama have him tell you that he was born in Mombasa Kenya and he is a muslim, later on his mother married another muslim from Indonesia by the name of Soetoro and he adapted Obama and he became an Indonesian citizen with an Indonesian passport and his name was Barry Soetoro, the man is a liar and a non American born so he should be impeached, four more years and this country will be like an African country with muslims. If you need proof I have all kind of documents including a letter signed by his black grand mother. He is an S.O.B. ( Sweet Old Barack )

    • castaway

I would really like to know why something is not being done about this phoney. In past years, this would have created a firestorm in D.C.. The only thing I can assume, is the commy/ socialist party has spread into the Republican party as well as the Democratic party. THis is a real scam on the American People, and the world. It truly is unbelievable.

Islamists say the Koran is destined to rule America. In fact, the Muslim takeover of the White House is not just an unfolding action plan but a directive from Muhammad himself.

In an interview Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” British radical Muslim activist Anjem Choudary made clear what he and his Islamist brothers have planned for the West. “We do believe, as Muslims, the East and the West will one day be governed by the Shariah,” he said. “Indeed, we believe that one day, the flag of Islam will fly over the White House.” He then quoted a hadith, or saying of Muhammad, as related by 10th-century Muslim scholar Al-Tabarani, that “the final hour will not come until Muslims conquer the White House.” Another version of the saying goes, “A small portion of Muslims will rise and conquer the White House.”

Many Americans believe this conquest is well underway, if not already secretly completed. President Obama was concerned enough about perceptions of his faith to address the question at one of his recent “backyard discussions” in New Mexico. Mr. Obama said he is “a Christian by choice,” which may or may not assuage the concerns of those who believe he is a Muslim by birth.

The president’s declaration of faith may not help with his vaunted outreach to the global Muslim community. A Gallup poll released last week showed that current approval of U.S. leadership in countries in the Middle East and North Africa is “similar or lower than what it was in 2008,” in some cases “erasing gains seen after the transition from the Bush administration to the Obama administration.” In no country was the approval rating above 30 percent. It’s fair to conclude that this experiment in engagement with Islam has failed.

As Mr. Choudary indicated, Islamist “engagement” with the United States is a holy obligation. Last week, the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), the leading proponent of global Shariah law, held a conference on “Islam and Muslims in America” in cooperation with the American Islamic College in Chicago. OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu called on Muslims in the United States to become involved in all aspects of American life, including local and national politics. The Obama administration gave its imprimatur to the gathering by sending its own small portion, including special envoy to the OIC, Rashad Hussain, Dalia Mogahed who works with the Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, and Farah Pandith, the State Department’s special representative to Muslim communities.

The OIC is currently campaigning to have so-called “Islamophobia” recognized by the international community as a form of racism prosecutable under international law. This would include any expression the Islamists find offensive, which in practice would amount to a global gag order on any critical discussion of Islam. Last year, the Obama administration co-sponsored with Egypt a U.N. Human Rights Council resolution against “racial and religious stereotyping,” which offered cover to the Islamists in their drive to put any criticism of their religion off limits.

The leading countries in the OIC are among the least religiously tolerant in the world. In most cases, Christians, Jews, Hindus and others may not freely practice their faith, and under Koranic law, converts from Islam face the death penalty. The OIC has stated that any freedoms in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that conflict with Shariah do not apply to its members. If this is the type of cooperation the Obama administration is seeking to promote with Islam, then the “final hour” draws closer still. Mr. Obama said Jesus Christ died for his sins, but the United States continues to suffer for the president’s mistakes.

Eric tells us of all the great things liberals have done including:
Getting African-Americans the Right to Vote.
    Ending Segregation
Pasing of the Civil Rights Act.
    Perhaps
Eric, like most liberals suffer from historical amnesia due no doubt to America’s liberal public education racket that has COMPLETELY bamboozled young people about the REAL history of the Democrat Party.
    Democrats opposed the Abolitionists.
Democrats supported slavery and fought and gave their lives to expand it.
Democrats supported and passed the Fugitive Slave Laws of 1793 and 1854.
Democrats supported and passede the Missouri Compromise to protect slavery.
Dermocrats supported and passed the Kansas-Nebraska Act to expand slavery.
Democrats supported and backed the Dred Scott Decision 1856.
Democrats supported and passed Jim Crow Laws.
Democrat6s supported and passed Black Codes.
    Democrats opposed the Emancipation Proclamation.
Democrats opposed the Reconstruction Act of 1867.
Democrats opposed the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to end slavery, make blacks citizens and give blacks the right to vote.
Democrats opposed the Civil Rights Act of 1866.
I wonder if Eric knows who the first black U.S. Senator was. Hint…Hint…it wasn’t a liberal Democrat. It was Republican Senator Hiram Revels in 1870. While we are at it, Eric, can you tell us the name and party affiliation of the first black Congressman? Hint..Hint.. again it wasn’t a liberal Democrat. The answer is Congressman Joseph Rainey, a Black Republican in 1870.
The Ku kLUX kLAN was CREATED by the Democrat Party. “The Klan became in effect a terrorist arm of the Democratic Party,” –Professor Emeritus William Trelease of the University of North Carolina. This was so b ecaquse back then all blacks were Republicans. After all, the only re4ason the Republican Party was founded in thye first placde was to be the anti-slavery party!
Even Leftist Columbia University history professor Eric Foner has concluded that the KKK was a Democrat Party vote-getting machine. As he said in his book, A Short History of Reconstruction, “FRounded as a Tennessee social club, the Ku Klux Klan spread into nearly every Southern state, launching a ‘reign of terror’ against Republican leaders–black and white…In effrect, the Klan was a military force serving the interests of the Democratic Party, the planter class, and all those who desired the restoration of white supremacy. It aimed to destroy the Republican Party’s infrastructure.”
Virtually every single piece of civil rights legislation for black Americans ever passed in American history was the result of Republicans defeating racist Democrats. This includes:
    The 13th Amendment
    The 14th Amendment
    The 15th Amendment
The Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871
    All the Reconstr5uction Acts
    The 1866 Civil Rights Act
    The 1875 Civil Rights Act
    The 1957 Civil Rights Act
    The 1960 Civil Rights Act
    The 1964 Civil Rights Act
In fact, had the Democrats not overturned the 1875 Civil Rights Act, the very similar 1964 Civil Rights Act might not have even been necessary!
Racist Democrat President Lyndon Baines Johnson has gotten credit for the 1964 Civil Rights Act, but he wasn’t the one re4sponsible for getting it passed. That honor belongs to Republican Senator Everrett Dirksen of Illinois. He rallied 27 of the small group of 33 Republicans in the Senate to defeat the efforts of former Klansman, Democrat Robert Byrd and Al Gore’s daddy, Sen. Al Gore, Sr. of Tennessee. Both of whom tried to torpedo the 1964 Civil Rightsw Act by filibustering the bill. After the Re4publicans got the bill passed, racist LBJ got all the credit. LBJ was an out-and-out bigot. Robert Caro, the Pulitzer Prize-winning LBJ biographer has written that prior to 1957, Johnson “had never supported civil rights legislation–any civil rights legislation,” including anti-lynching
legislation. Worse still was Johnson’s private behavior towards blacks. Robert Parker, LBJ’s longtime black employee and limousine chauffeur, claims that Johnson blasted him daily with a blizzard of b igoted slurs. And even as LBJ was being praised by liberalsw for his appointment of Thurgood Marshall to the Supreme court, behind closed doors LBJ’s cynical brand of :identity politicds” became clear. As Presidential historian RobertDallek recounts, LBJ explained his decision to a staff member by saying, “Son, when I appoint a nig–r to the court, I want everyone to know he’s a nig–r.”

      Joel,
I have copied and pasted this post to word in my computer as I want to check out some of the things that you claim. I hope you are right, because if you are, this information needs to be taught one way or another.
      Thanx

You will find that his information is very factual. A good book to read is “Mr. Adams’s Past Crusade” by Joseph Whelan. It is very informative and a good read.

    • castaway

This is all because at one time, the Democratic Party was a good party, then something changed, and they turned more to socialistic views as they do now. Personally I think all the civil rights laws should be repealed, as I have watched this nation in a state of decline ever since they were passed, and Obama is the final straw.

We also still have segregation, and that is the choice of the segregated, not the rest of us. They choose to have it that way, and then bitch and complain it is someone elses fault.

    • Palin16

Another great book to read is “LBJ: Mastermind of the JFK Assassination”. It also talks about LBJ signed the Cilvil Rights Act of 1964 just three months before the 1964 presidential election. Like everything else in his life, it was done only for personal gain. Martin Luthor King deserves the real credit for that civil rights bill, not LBJ.

  • Jimbo

Number one reason Obama supporters give me for supporting the guy: He’s not as bad as George Bush. Well, I thought Bush was an AWFUL president. (I voted for 3rd party conservative candidates.) So I don’t think being “better” than Bush is much of an endorsement for Obama.

    • FWO21

Obama didn’t make things any better. Bush was tearing us down, and Obama just came along and took us down farther. I don’t know if we can even get someone in the WH that will turn things around or not.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002886439095 Corky Corcoran

You need to review your information. It wasn’t the Bush administration that brought our economy down. It was the Democratic controlled Hous and Senate that had control of the fiscal reigns.

  • Roy McFarland

Eddie what job do you think you will achieve in Obama’s Socialist world for your support or is it a plot with a marker. We have to become a thrid world country to be able to have Obama’s one world government because for it to work American cannot be any better than the lowest of the low. Is this not his and your goal. Be truthful now.

    • http://YAHOO Ron Chito

Your right we are close to becoming a third world country and you can thank the Republicans for that. Now lets see what transpired during the eight years of the Bush administration. First of all the only industry that was booming was the housing industry and that’s because the sub-prime mortgages that were condoned by the Congress and Senate. It was both Republicans and Democrats who were bribed to change the banking rules so loans could be made that they knew would never be paid. The real insult was when they bailed out the guilty parties ie the Wall St. Banks and AIG ! That is not Capitalism it’s Socialism in the plainest form. This country now is a country of Crony Capitalism. Bailouts for the rich payed for by the poor and middle class. My biggest disappointment with the Obama Administration is the failure to bring the guilty to pay for there crimes. I do understand that they would have to lock up allot of Senator’s and Congressmen because they are as guilty if not mor so than the Banks and AIG ! I still feel Obama is only one man and he has tried to protect us from further harm. If the Republicans had there way they would remove all restrictions on banking and they would desimate what is left of the FDIC !

      • Ed Nopp

The Republicans are no saints, but for your information; the financing of homes for the poor, (people who couldn’t afford housing), started under Carter. It grew ovewr the years under the guise of “affordable housing.” When Bush took office and saw the mess that pir finances were in, he continually asked Congress to change the regulations as they were going to be the downfall of our economy. Congress ignored him at best and at the worst assured Bush that every thing was just fine … Freddy and Fanny had everything under control … No problem existed. They sure showed him didn’t they?

      • castaway

Darn Chito how much you pay for the crap you are snorting? No matter it as messed your brain real bad. You cannot tell a hole , from a black shadow on the ground.

  • http://yahoo.com yahoo

    i’m voting obama

    • http://YAHOO Ron Chito

I’m an independant so I vote for the person I feel will help the majority of Americans and not the rich few that think they can buy influence in the Congress and Senate. Obama is sincere about helping hard working middle class Americans and making the hard working rich pay there fair share. Money can’t buy everything and they see they can’t buy Obama !

      • Ed Nopp

You are right; money can’t buy everything. However, China has gone a long way towards purchasing America. Also, I keep hearing how Obama has a (billion $ ?) war chest in order to get re-elected. Where did that money coming from and how does that not buy him?

        • http://YAHOO Ron Chito

Most of his money comes from average voters like myself. Do you have an issue with that? I have an issue with the Supreme Court allowing anyone to contribute any ammount to a cantidate. Mitt Romney has had more than a few of his millionare friends contribute millions to his war chest. It’s not the small contributors that pose a threat of influence it’s the large ones that buy there way out of paying taxes. The middle class will always get screwed as long as the lobbing by the rich continues. I really don’t think you can see the forest through the trees. I’m not a die hard Liberal. As I said before the person who works in the best interest of all Americans will be the one I will vote for. The Republicans have blaintely protected the rich from paying there fair share of taxes. The privdleged few !

          • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002886439095 Corky Corcoran

Ron CHito needs to go back to school and retake his history lessons. You may want to start with John Quincy Adams biographies. Additionally, it was the Republican Parties that promoted the numerous anti-slavery Bills (you know the ones that promoted free speech, equal rights for Blacks). It was the Democratic Party that thwarted the Repaublican’s Bill of “a Mule and 40 acres” for those repatriated after the Civil War! The Democratic Parties continuously refused to even listen to any petition brought before the House for consideration. They even went so far as to impose a gag order against any such petitions. The Democrats are now as they have always been the ones initiating Agendas that would ultimately cost the legal, U.S., taxpaying citizens money. Just read the Obama Care Bill as a true example. There are only a little over a 1,000 pages to review but very eye opening. There is your champion of the middle class …Vote for him again!

I sent in a hundred a few months back, I plan to do it a few more times in the run up.

I don’t know where any of them get the money, Mitt’ spent some 65 million so far.

Jon Stewart, sent in one million a few days ago. It’s safe to think some will follow suit.

        Spread the wealth ! LOL!

      • castaway

Chito you still Sniffin? The rich for the most part earned their money by hard work, and it is theirs, and not yours or anyone elses to share. If you cannot make yourself rich, then that is the way it is, and your problem. You do not have the right to steal from those that have been successful. You sound like a COMMY, or a UNION THUG.

A company makes money, and the union goes nuts and wants all the profit, The profit belongs to the company owners, who ever they are, not the union or the workers, unless said company is employee owned.

Anyother Idea is just plain stupid.

By the way folks! I live near a very small town of about 2000 people! For the FIRST time of my 75 years I actually did an “activist” thing. Because of my concern for what has been happening in America! I held up a sign with 5 other people also! We were pleading please do not vote for Obama! Well folks we were called RACISTS and MOBS by OUR president! I served in the military willing to give my life to ALLOW HIS FREEDOM OF SPEECH and then to be CALLED such NAMES??? Not ONLY that folks! For the FIRST TIME in my life I recieved a E-mail from the IRS!! WHY? Because I had given money to the “TEA PARTY”!! I am sending out a warning to you !We HAVE an ALINSKYITE as president!! You ALL SHOULD FEAR ANOTHER 4 years! Look at Chivas! He now brags he has nothing to fear he has ALL SOCIALISTS in the military! And what is Obama upto with the military??WATCH!! Consider this folks you have been given FAIR warning!

It looks to me like you will believe any lie that comes down the pike as long as it helps Obama. It is not possible for most of the contributions that Obama has acquired to have come from little people like you say you are and I say I am. First it is known that the unions have donated thousands and that G Soros has also donated thousands. During the last campaign it never was released as to where all of his contributions came from. Again, they didn’t come from people sending it in with box tops, that kind of money comes from big money donators.

You forgot to mention two of President Obama’s most notable accomplishments that turned every legal citizen of America that does not agree with him into a terrorist:
    1. NDAA
    2. Patriot Act

10 pm and 335 posting, we have had some fun today !

Well, even today, with the GOP falling apart like a cheap suit, it will be a close race. It doesn’t matter who the GOP candidate will be.

It’s clear, the GOP rank and file will hold their nose and vote GOP. I’m glad that they see themselves as being so bright. I wouldn’t wish them to think otherwise.

When you opponent is busy destroying themselves, I see no need to interfere.

    • http://Yahoo Ron Chito

I must agree the Republican Cantidates have saved Obama from wasting campaing contributions exposing the Republican cantidates for what they are. They are self destructive in every way. Mitt Romney wants to be president so bad that if he was told he would be elected if he turned gay he would do it. I love how he back peddeled out of not wanting to bail out the auto industry. Does’t this moron realize we don’t manufacture much of anything in this country any more. Give up the auto makers and what’s left ? At least Obama favored the bailout and is offering insentives for corporations to make things here in America. How can you critize anyone who is trying to get jobs for Americans ? Mitt Romney and his company Baine Capital have shipped more jobs over seas than they ever created here. The jobs he creates are minium wage jobs with no benefits. Of course in his mind thats good business. Good for him and his stock holders !

      • Ed Nopp

The bailout of the auto industry could have been done in the form of a guaranteed loan like it was with Chrysler back a few years ago. Instead Obama decided to make another Socialistic adjustment. He ordered the theft of shares from private shareholders and gave a big portion of them to his buddies and supporters; the unions. Then the Government took the other shares in its possession making the Government an owner of a private corporation for the first time in American history. That is a Socialist move, there is no way that anybody can truthfully deny it.

    • castaway

Yes Deerinwater, and the Democrats/socialists/commies will be doing the same damn thing.Voting for their party even if it is wrong. So your point is? Muted mostly.

Ia there any reaching these shallow small minded liberals who cannot see how corrupt the left is? Geez! The silent majority has become a little louder, thanks to this vehicle but the MSM and the Educational system have the bully pulpit and are still so much more aggressive and obscenely loud that the naive’ fall culprit to their slander! Newt, even with all his baggage is the only one running for president who has a good enough grasp of history and appreciates the level of corruption the left personifies, that can shut down The Liar they elected 3 years ago!. Ron Paul may have equal grasp of the issues (especially on the domestic front) but his failure to identify the fact that the middle east brought on all that has occurred in there homeland, by the corruption they have have been and are still “executing”. Obammma is one of them. And you less than bright individuals like Anne who are compelled to label racism to anyone who has a problem with the Corrupter in Chief… First of all it has nothing to do with his race. Hell what race is he? He talks like a stupid (57 states ‘Corpeseses men’ and a dozen other “idiers” no Red Blooded American would slip up on), arrogant SOB! Being an American with just enough Irish blood in me to lean on that lineage, when convenient, I am happy this jerk denies that portion of his genealogy but does that make him any less Irish than me. Who are you trying to kid. You are the racist, hiding behind this fool masquerading around claiming to have the first “black” president… Like that is an accomplishment even if it were true???

For all the posters on here and most importantly liberals; the answers to most arguments and ongoing questions can be found in a very good thoroughly written book… “Duped America”. I encourage everyone to read it… It is a well documented political book by a longtime Democrat. Yes, I said longtime Democrat. His research and findings into the lies within our Government is staggering to say the least. The book is well documents with footnotes, references, Senate floor speeches, and lists his reference pages so the reader can do their own research to validate what they are reading. Needless to say this longtime Democrat changed to Republican after he conducted his research and found out what the truths behind many issues were. “Duped America” get it and read it.

So under this column, we should fire Obama and hire Mitt Romney…. His economic policies were analyzed and if he were to enact his policies of a 20% tax cut across the board and the cuts he says he wants to make, it would add 3T to the national debt.

I see… debt only matters when a Democrat is in office to this group. What a bunch of extremists. Obama is not perfect but all this BS about vacations is nonsense… HC, yes, forbidding people from being turned down for insurance due pre-existing conditions is terrible. I live in AZ, you know what I have been seeing in the past two years? A heavy influx of Canadians buying up homes in Phoenix. How is this possible when they are socialists with run Gov HC? I thought these people are not supposed to have that kind of money?

Gas?, please Obama has done nothing to raise the price of gas…Unlike George W Bush with allowing 33 Oil firm/refinery consolidations and invading Iraq. This current spike in gas prices was brought on by Opec reducing output, coupled with Iran shotting it mouth off and that allowed the speculators to inflate the price of gas. Isn’t it amazing howin 2008 during the election cycle, gas went down from over $4 a gallon to $1.87? I wonder why that was?

There are plenty of reasons not to vote for Obama but this story is weak. And the GOP weaker alternative is worse. The GOP know they lost because they “throw up” the weakest bunch as their nominee as I have ever seen from either party.

Now more than ever, we need 3rd parties. Conservatives had their chance from 1980-2008 and blew it. We need liberals to come back and put this country on the right track.

  • http://personallibertyalerts ron

After reading the comments from this website for several months, I have come to the following realization. The Democrats use their textbook game plan in every conversation! If they hear something they don’t like (if you have lucid thoughts, money and vote Republican then immediately they play their textbook game plan) first make sure that the person having a lucid thought is belittled, demeaned, slandered and made out to be an idiot, totally disreguard whatever the conversation and finally play the race card. How typical from a bunch of fools with their heads eternally buried in the sand.

Tell me this smart A, when China comes asking for their bond money, who is going to pay? It won’t be you because all you know how to do is stick out your hand and say “I want it for free”.

How do you explain 47,000,000 on food stamps. Did it ever occur to you that maybe that is true because of the massive unemployment!! Again, get your head buried deep so you don’t have to think about it.

Explain the Trillions of US taxpayers that was given to the 5 largest banks to cover their housing mortgage mistake! I know these are facts presented by the bad Republicans! If this is not true, then why are there millions of homes in forclosure? When will the banks pony up and eliminate this mess? They aren’t going to because our President has promised them they don’t have to!!

Why would an elected President have his records sealed the first day on the job? Maybe he has something to hide! For once pull your head out of your rectum and use some common sense. Obviously, you don’t have the courage or the intellect to think for yourself! Don’t worry ANthony, if Obama gets elected again you won’t ever have to think anymore and you can enjoy your golden years planting, cultivating and caring for the beet farm!

  • barry

You should at least base your arguments about the president based on some facts not on right wing spin .

    • http://personallibertyalerts ron

      Thanks Obama!

You really should try to have some thoughts of your own and stop using the play book approach. You really think the liberal media is giving you the truth! You are a fool! And that ship of fools is about to sink

  • Dolor

Watch out: The village idiot is missing:

description: democrat, believes everything he hears, knows nothing about history, and has a dead ear to anything that is true, cannot think for himself and lets others make his decisions, doesn’t enjoy the rights that are being taken away from us,such as: Freedom of Speech, Freedom of truth, is a member of the nanny state (probably on food stamps) collects unemployment while not looking for a job, and steals from old people. !/2 trillion taken out of medicare for Obamacare and 1/2 billion for continuation of unemployment. You underemployed don’t count and you who quit looking for work don’t count either. Put you hand out and you can vote for the downfall of our county.

    • Dave67

      Dolor,

The same thing can be said of Republicans who get fed the GOP talking points via their media outlets like Fox and talk radio. Current talking points are Gas prices, HC and the Unemployment rate.

You are a good Conservative soldier….Do as told… The GOP needs more like you.

      • Puzzler

        Gas Prices? Unemploment Rate?

How can you possibly argue a posative angle for Obama on these two issues? When Bush was in office and gas prices shot up you pathetic (people?) called him every thing in the book and repeatedly called for investigations.

The touted 8.5% unemploment rate, even by liberal TV commentators is in reality actually north of 15%. GET REAL!

      • Dave67

        Puzzler,

Am I putting this as a positive for Obama? Did you read what I said???

Obama has done nothing to adversely effect the price of oil… Unlike Bush with is allowing consolidation of the oil/refining market and the Iraq war.

Whether you admit it or not, the job bleeding has stopped under Obama. This economy crashed under bad trade policy, deregulation, tax cut and borrow, and bad tax policies in 2007. Don’t blame Obama, I don’t blame Bush (although he helped it along) but I do blame the greed of the wealthy and the influence they have bought in Congress and the POTUS (both parties) in the past 30 years.

        • Puzzler

Your answers are so incompetent that I won’t waste anymore of my time on you. You refuse to look at facts and continue to call lies truth. You’re lost.

        • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1269908108 Joel Frank

Here are 7 Gas-Related Facts President Obama cannot escape:

          1. In September 2008, Barack Obama’s “Nobel-prize winning physicist” of an Energy Secretary, Steven Chu, told the Wall Street Journal: “Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.” At that time the price of gasoline in Europe was near $10.00 a gallon.

          2. In 2008, then-candidate Barack Obama admitted that, like his future Eneergy Secretary Mr. Chu, he believed that high gas prices would be a good thing because they would force Americans to ween themselves off of oil, but that he would have “preferred a gradual adjustment.”

          3. On January 19, 2009, the day before Barack Obama was sworn in as President of the United States, gas prices were $1.84 a gallon. As of February 20, 2012, a gallon of gas cost $3.59.

          4. As Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson points out, “Offshore drilling permits are being issued at less than half the rate of the previous administration. The average number of leases issued on public lands is less than half that during President Clinton’s term.”

          5. In 2008, Barack Obama seemed perfectly comfortable with soaringt energy prices if they meant curbing green house gas emissions. As Mr. Obama confessed: “Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.”

          6. Obama’s own 2008 campaign rallies actually cheered higher gas prices because they would “force us to think about changing the culture to create more emphasis on mass transportation.” Following sustained applause, then candidate-Obamas proceeded to laud Europe for its rail system.

          7. Try as he might, President Obama’s campaign will try to distance themselves from the fact that a central pillar of Mr. Obama’s 2008 campaign was a pledge to reduce the “pain at the pump” caused by high gas prices..But he does nothing!
Missing no opportunity to invoke class warfare, President Obama said: “For the well-off in this country, high gas prices are mostly an annoyance. But to most Americans, they are a huge problem, bordering on a crisis. Here in Indiana, gas costs $3.60 a gallon.”
That is almost the identical price of gas today, except that gas prices today are the highest they have ever been at this time of year before the summertime gas price spike takes place.
Try as he might, President Obama will not be able to escape these facts. But voters in 2012 should hardly be surprised by the skyrocketing costs of fuel. After all, didn’t Obama tell us as much before he was elected. He doesn’t want gas price to be lowered.

I am fascinated… what are the “facts” as you see them?

  • Steve

I found this little piece on U TUBE by,

Rachel Maddow, who doesn’t get any more Liberal, and she can’t even keep a straight
face. Its not about being Liberal or Conservative, neo liberal or neo conservative, its
about truth, the distortion of truth, about lies and seeing through those lies, no matter whose spouting them. And to Eric Bischoff, in its attempt to function as a republic its the citizen of the US that accomplished those things, not Liberals.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mPZlysCAm0

    • Dave67

      Steve,

Correct, lies, distortions are put forth by both sides… But in terms of civil rights, women’s rights, the social safety net… That was the liberals… Unless you can point to any conservatives of their days that were on the front lines of these issues. It may disappoint you to understand that reality but that is historical fact. Conservatives are not big on change, hence why they are called conservatives. Progressive/Liberals on the orther had, push(ed) for those changes…too fast for some granted… but they are out in front. In terms of civil rights… Conservatives were out in front all right… they were in front of the doors to schools in AL preventing black boys and girls from entering and going to school with white children. Its an embarrassing truth I know for today’s conservatives but that is the conservative legacy. Today, the same sex marriage debate is the in the exact same vein.

Thats why I am a proud liberal… I just don’t subscribe to the labels that conservatives in the Gov and the media try and give us starting with the serial tax cut and borrow conservative Ronald Reagan.

      • Puzzler

Dave67, Sometimes it is really hard to know where to start when responding to posts that are so blatently false, so in this case I’ll just start with your claimthat Republicans are not big on change. The only thing that can possibly make this a true statement is an addition of: “for change sake” or “to bigger more controlling Government.” Republicans welcome change when the change is for the betterment of the populace and it falls within the boundaries of the Constitution. Making change simply to strengthen the Government and give it more control over the populace is normally not a good thing.

As for your statement of the Republicans blocking the doors to the schools to stop integration. That statement is just a blatent LIE. It was because of the Republicans that the civil rights bill during the Johnson administration got passed. In those days the Democrats ruled the South and tried everything possible to block the civil rights movement of the day. Even Johnson, who publicly supported the movement, was a blatent racist in private.

The same sex marriage issue is nothing like the racial issues of the past. That issue is a matter of religious beliefs. Christians and many non-Christians believe that marriage was instituted by God at the time of creation. Marriage isn’t just a civil ceramony, it is a religious Sacrament. If the civil athorities want to manage civil contracts for co-livng conditions, that’s fine, just don’t claim it as a marriage.

      • Dave67

        Puzzler,

Did I use the term Democrat or GOP anywhere? No…. Typically GOP falacy and inability to comprehend what I said. I am talking liberal/progressive vs Conservative… Not Dem vs GOP. If you know your history at all, then you know the Dixiecrats made the switch in the 1960′s and 1970′s to the GOP.

Just because you and others like you do not understand or want to understand why homosexuality exists in the animal kingdom does not give you the right to cherry pick the bible or any other document to prevent people of legal age from engaging in a legal contract so it is exactly the same.

Whether you choose to accept it or not….

        • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1269908108 Joel Frank

The man mainly responsible for getting the 1964 Civil Rights bill passed was Republican Senator Everett Dirkson of Illinois. He rallied the Republicans in the Senate to defeat the effrorts of former Klansman, Democrat Robert Byrd and Al Gore’s bigot daddy, Sen. Al Gore Sr. of Tennessee ( the birthplace of the Ku Klux Klan). These two Democrats tried to torpedo the 1964 Civil Rights Act by filibustering the bill, but thankfully the Republicans got the bill passed. Robert Byrd, Dixiecrat? never became a Republican. Al Gore Sr. Dixiecrat? never became a Republican. Those two remained Democratic bigots.

      • Paul Hull

You better believe it Dave 67. Reagan started the borrow and spend way to pay for things. His first year (1981) he went to 99 billion and ended at 283 billion and no way to pay for it. Is that being conservative? I don’t think so. and don’t get me started on Bush he went crazy on spending and I didn’t hear one repub say anything about it. Then after he handed Obama the mess to try and figure out. He was in unchartered territory, never before had there been such a disaster. He had to try different things to get the economy going, and it has started already. I just got a job after looking for awhile and so have others that I know. Obama was honest and said that it may take a few years to get going because of the mess it was in. We will see good things a coming and like it or not Obama will get 4 more years.

  • DG

Most, on this site, reply to each other and not the issues. Most, use opinion and not fact. I have seen that the left use baseless attacks on a messenger that has supporting facts and the right use inference of intellectual vacuousness leveled at the critics. If one reads history (and I mean real history not propaganda by either party) you get a true portraiture of our state of the union. Both parties pander to get their person elected. Truth about ones party ties is inconvenient baggage in a campaign. It’s use will foster retaliation from ones own supporters.

Other than reading the information put forth by the author at the top of this site, the only reason to read the comments is to have a laugh at the plebeians whose opinions are those of the generally disenfranchised of spirit because the rhetoric of politicians does not come true. I ask you when has that ever happen?

The biggest problem I see is that no one holds a politician accountable after he/she is elected. They even write legislation as an out for themselves and the worker bees in the government hive. This is the biggest reason they do not want us to have guns. The day may come that we the people refuse to take it any longer and ask them to step aside while real men and women fix the problems created by them. Our weapons are for defense, of which we have a right, against tyrannic power.

    Lots of vitriol here, today,

When are the rebubs going to get off of it. We needed health care reform and you certainly had no plans to do anything about it. Obama will get the second 4. Ayn Rand Worshippers Should Face Facts: Blue States Are the Providers, Red States Are the Parasites

Frankly, I woldn’t be surprised if Obama was e-elected. With a Republican President we’ll have more deficit spending for wars. and with a Democatic President we’ll have more deficit spending for socialism. Given that choice, I think most americans would opt for more socialism.

    • Palin16

What a crock! Democrats are the real warmongers!
Woodrow Wilson, a democrat, got us into WW1.
FDR, a democrat, got us into WW2.
Harry S Truman, a democrat, got us into Korea.
LBJ, a democrat, got us into Vietnam.

And you can count me out of your socialistic schemes.

      • http://Yahoo Ron C

Sorry but you are in desperate need of a history lesson. Before you make statements as you have you need to investigate the facts. When Pearl Harbor was bombed it wouldn’t have mattered who was President. The reaction would have been the same. As far as Vietnam is concerned the war was going on long before LBJ ! Advisors were sent to Vietnam before Kennedy was elected. So much for history ! stop blaming Democrats or Republicans for any major decisions. Major decisions are made by Congressmen and Senators Democrat and Republican. Guess you can use a civics class also !

  • Dennis Patrick

Who is this “George W. Bush” that Mr. Crystal refers to?

    • James

If you are asking that seriously, he was our President before Obama.

So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can’t think of anything? Don’t worry. He’s done all this in 29 months — so you’ll have one year to come up with an answer. Every statement in this email is factual and directly attributable to Barrack Hussein Obama. Every bumble is a matter of record and completely verifiable.

    EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS…
I WONDER HOW MANY WILL FORWARD THIS ?
“You can’t fix stupid, but you can vote it out.”

    • Dave67

And Mitt Romney will swoop in with all the answers!!! Just like Reagan!!!

That Obama and all that control over the price of oil, the home market…. And I don’t care if most of Obama’s debt is actually from Bush nonsense… It doesn’t matter!!!

He is a Democrat and therefore responsble….

Cat2112, do you have any more chapters from the GOP talking pionts bible? I need some more ammo… Oh wait… I can just watch Fox….

      • Palin16

Don’t assume that regular readers of Personal Liberty are excited about Romney. In fact, I don’t know anyone that is. Of the four present GOP candidates, I’d pick Romney last. Can we really expect him to overturn Obamacare? He’s a very rich establishment guy. To paraphrase an email I received:

In 1976, they gave us Gerald Ford. We got Jimmy Carter.
In 1996, they gave us Bob Dole. We got Bill Clinton.
In 2008, they gave us John McCain. We got Barack Obama.

Don’t let them do it again!

  • Captain Eddie

Don’t forget these facts….Obama is a Muslim who refuses to salute the flag he swore to defend. Obama is a liar in the first order. Obama forced himself upon us by lying about his birthplace and subverting the Constitution of the United States.

You “liberal demowhiners” need to wake up and smell the coffee. Obama is the worst possible thing that can happen to the United States. Look at his miserable record and stop blaming everything on George Bush!

  • Ron

Really, this is all you can come up with. I get it you’re conservative so you hate a democratic president but these reason aren’t even reason. I think what’s funny is Ron Paul had no chance in hell of being president and is just wasting everyone’s time all together. If you wanted to waste time that’s fine it’s America we have free speech but at the very least argue a point instead of just being jealous of how the public treats Obama. Try getting a better campaign please. Lol

As a resident of Las Vegas, I would like to add a 9th reason to vote against Obummer. When he told a crowd “don’t go blow a bunch of cash in Vegas” at least 300 companies pulled their conventions out that year, causing an estimated $300 million in lost revenue to the city, not to mention Nevada leads the nation in unemployment, bankrupcies, and foreclosures. The mayor of Las Vegas was so ticked off at Obama’s careless remarks that he changed his party affiliation from democrat to independant.

What is this crap about how Republicans or Conservatives or Tea Party people or SOMEBODY insists on calling the President “boy”?? I go to Republican meetings and tea party meetings on a regular basis and I have NEVER heard ANYONE EVER refer to the President by anything worse than “Obama”, which I try my best to discourage both in print and in person. I try to always refer to him as “The President” or “President Obama’. In my experience it is liberals that use ad hominem attacks and racial descriptions in referring to people. That is… as a noun. I NEVER do and I have not heard it done. I used to teach in South Dallas and every year there would be 4 or 5 speakers for whom the children were gathered and to whom they were forced to listen. Most of my students came from decent God fearing homes where parents, grandparents or whoever taught them right from wrong so they often apologized to me, a white man, after these speakers repeatedly screamed about Whitey and Crackers and one in particular made funny noises through his nose going Honk, Honk, HONKEY!! Honk, Honk, Honkey!! and discussed how white people in certain states routinely married their own sisters and cousins. That man, unfortunately, was an elected official. We did have a very fine talk by one of the District Judges fortunately. One out of 15 are not very good odds,

    think about this-

what did the mayans know that we don’t?

Nothing. They are gone, we’re not.

Puzzler, to say the Maya civilization is gone is not only inaccurate, but a slap in the face of the more than 6 million Maya living today in Mexico, Guatemala and Belize. In fact, I saw first hand that in a Maya village in Mexico, none of the people spoke Spanish. Their language and culture is alive today.

        • Puzzler

          Thank you. I stand corrected.

  • http://www.facebook.com/RogerSan Roger Ervine

Ron Paul is the answer…now what was the question????

  • Scott

16.7 million fewer 18-66 year old Americans are working in 2012 than in 2008. The percentage of non-working Americans in the 18-66 year old group was 33.5% in 2008, has increased to 36.8% in 2012. The total number of 18-66 year olds not working in 2012 is 84.23 million.

16.6 million (8.3%) of unemployed 18-66 year old Americans are seeking work.

There will be 4.3 million 18 year olds graduating from High School in 2012. There will be 2.65 million new 67 year olds in 2012. The net increase in working age individuals is 1.65 million in 2012.

What is the plan of the President, and of the Congress, as to where to put all of these people?

  • Dave Bishop

I have no idea why anyone would settle for Ron Paul, outside of the people who want drugs legalized, homosexuals who want to be “married”, every tin pot dictator in the world.

The greatest problem with this election is finding someone with the skills and abilities of a leader. At this point, there is no one even remotely able to be a leader. This nation has become so broken, with people running in every direction with their prejudices, lies, broken promises, and agendas that leadership is by default given to Obama.

Only God can help us, but of course, that would mean repenting our actions and pleading for mercy. And how many people in this land are willing to do that?

    • http://AOL Mary

I agree Dave. Obama is making things worse thats for sure though. I will vote for any one but him just because we can’t afford four more years of his damage. Our next president has to clean up his mess. But your right, I’ve been watching the debates and I can’t believe this is who we have to choose from. You would think, that there has to be someone out there in this big great country of ours that can do the job. Look at Lincoln people made fun of his background but he turned out to be one of our greatest presidents. We definetely need someone honest to go into Washington and clean house.
I just hope that when people vote in November they get information about the candidates and vote for the one that has the best qualifications. I did not vote for Obama. I was not thrilled with Mcain. But he did a little more than say “change” he at least said what he was going to change.

  • stonepolis

I got at least 30 reasons that liberals would claim are just a few of the Obama administration’s fine accomplishments:

1 – Fast and Furious – Operation Gun Runner, and apparently an either incompetent or lying Attorney General
2 – G.E sending 36000 Jobs Overseas (Obama handpicked G.E. CEO to head his Jobs Committee)
    3 – Solyndra
    4 – Lightsquared
    5 – Increased our deficit over 40% in 2 1/2 years!
6 – The harassment of Gibson Guitars
    7 – The Drilling Moratoriums
8 – Soaring FOOD and Gas Prices
9 – NO Shovel Ready Jobs
10 – The Downgrade of America’s credit rating (First time in American history)
11 – First time in American history over 42 MILLION Americans are living in poverty
12 – Never passed a BUDGET (First time in 34 YEARS)
13 – America drops to 5th place in GLOBAL COMPETITIVENESS
14 – Over 400,000 small businesses closing every year under Obama
15 – Our Debt has increased $4,247,000,000,000 in just 945 days – the fastest increase under any president ever!
    16 – No Summer Recovery
17 – Fed Suing State of Arizona and also bringing it before the UN Human Right Council
18 – Pressured Retired General Shelton to ALTER his testimony
19 – Enable the LARGEST number of HOME FORECLOSURES
20 – Turn America into the LARGEST FOOD STAMP NATION
21 – Start another War WITHOUT CONGRESSIONAL APPROVAL
22 – Force a Trillion dollar disaster down our throats called Obamacare WITHOUT EVEN READING THE BILL
    23 – Create OVER 25 million UNEMPLOYED
24 – Appoint a TAX CHEAT for Sec. of the TREASURY!
    25 – Appoint over 34 UN-ELECTED CZARS
26 – Giving visas to illegal aliens
27 – Racial division even amongst blacks (Maxine Waters and the bedroom slippers speech)
28 – Denying the Canadian pipeline in favor of MORE failed “green” projects for his cronies!
29 – Harassed Boeing for wanting to build a plant in S. Carolina because it’s a right to work state.
30 – * Just added: According to THE UNITED STATES BUREAU OF LABOR STATISTICS, the REAL unemployment rate is 16.2% in January 2012 up from 15.2% In December of 2011.

…No we Can’t afford another four years of this Charlatan in Chief!

  • James

The main reason for not re-electing Obama is that he isn’t eligible for that office. He wasn’t born in the United States and his father wasn’t a U.S. citizen.

  • mike o’b

Just about every ‘mistake’ the president has made has been due to the conservative, greedy and ignorant right of the isle. Republicans need to wake-up and turn off FOX-news, which is not News, it’s blatant right wing extremest propaganda. Why don’t you go ahead and actually research the misinformation you wrote here and try understand the workings of our government and that President Obama isn’t going anywhere over the next 4 years. Especially against the republican clowns running for office. I used to be angry with the ignorance spewing from a typical republican during a conversation, but then I realized not to bother, because it’s easier to explain to a brick wall than one of the many brainwashed conservatives, acting out and voting against their own interests.

The idea that President Obama kept whining about inheriting the worst economy since the Great Depression is a bunch of nonsense. Obama didn’t inherit it, he helped make it. He and the Democrat majority voted for everything he blamed Bush for, once he became President.
12/21/05 Obama voted NO on a bill that would have cut nearly $40 billion over 5 years from the Federal budget by imposing substantial changes on welfare child support and student lending programs. The Washington Post reported that this bill represented “the first effort in nearly a decade to try to slow down the growth of entitlement programs.”

3/2/06 Obama voted YES on the Senate reauthorizing the 2001 Patriot Act.

3/29/07 Obama voted YES on the $122 billion watr spending bill funding US military activity in Iraq and Afghanistan.

8/2/07 Obama voted YES on an expansion of the State Children’s Health Insurance Program. It increased total funding for the program to $60 billion over the next five years ande provide health insurance to 9 million currently uninsured American children.

And in case you are interested in being honest, , it was the Democrats who destroyed the economy in 2008 via Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

  • Cathy

Actually you could have been talking about the democrats. Just replace “republican” with “democrat” in what you’ve said above. Change “Fox News” to MSNBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, you choose…
I noticed in the 90′s that the news I watched was becoming so biased towards the left, that I stopped watching it. How grateful I was when FOX appeared on the scene and gave us the truth. I still don’t watch the news, I get most of my info online, but if I am going to watch the news…I turn on FOX not the others…just hurts my soul and my conservative being.

  • Cathy

One of the biggest mistakes he has made…with the Democrats in charge of the house and senate…OBAMACARE. Hurry up and pass it so we can read what’s in it! Is that anyway to run a country??? NO!

  • Shirley

Obama can stop the gas prices from going higher too. He is not even trying to stop the gas going higher. We are going to pay soon with our food going higher too. We cannot live without gas for our cars. We all do not work no more. Who can buy a new car that get 35 mile to the gallon too ? Can you buy a new car ? He is not much of a Leader ..

  • Nick

All this has done has is confirm that there is no difference between democrats and republicans. This is why I have switched to a third party. Democrats and Republicans are dividers and haters. I hate haters and dividers. You all can keep your dems and repubs and I will keep my third party.

  • Bob Marshall

Since Wall Street contributed $42 million to the Obama campaign in 2008 he has appointed 27 former members of Wall Street to both his cabinet and administration. President Obama was fortunate that the majority of people never bothered to read the many books that were available or did their own research. Obama increased the national debt in 38 months by an amount more than what it took George Bush Jr. two terms to accomplish. Since Obama received 97% of the African-American vote in 2008 and they are still looking for that change even though their unemployment rate is twice the rate of any other race most will vote for him again. i would have found it impossible to vote for the party that kept my ancestors slaves for over In 1854, the Republican Party was founded as the anti-slave party. Although it is unclear how many know or care about their ancestors history under the Democratic Party, i doubt it would have made a difference. Since 49% of all citizens count on the federal government for some type of assistance many citizens are slaves to the government. Ronald Reagan said, ” If the government is big enough to give you everything you want they are big enough to take everything you’ve got. Millions demanded more and more from the government and they were only too glad to oblige. ” It is fortunate for the governments that the masses don’t think.” Adolf Hitler. ” If a nation expects to be ignorant and free in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be…if we are to guard against ignorance and remain free, it is the responsibility of every citizen to be informed.” Thomas Jefferson. If you rob from Peter to pay Paul you can always count on support from Paul. Today America is both a welfare and police state.
