The Missing Story

The Missing Story

The biggest story about the midterm elections is one that seems to have escaped most conservatives, to wit:

While it’s true that slightly more than half of those who voted sent a signal to Washington that they want government to drastically decrease spending, taxes and regulation, the painful reality is that slightly less than half of the voters cast their ballots in favor of Democratic candidates who, with just a few notable exceptions, want to increase spending, taxes and regulation.

I would thus caution overly exuberant Republicans that reports of the death of the progressive movement in this country have been grossly exaggerated. Many Republican victories, such as John Kasich’s win over George Strickland and Pat Toomey’s victory over Joe Sestak, were by razor-thin margins. Even where a race was won by as much as 15 points, that still translated into more than 40 percent of the voters giving their stamp of approval to President Barack Obama’s ultra-progressive agenda.

So, what does this all mean? First, and most obvious, it means that if those people (especially the shameless swing voters, most of whom are driven by that great human defect known as instant gratification) who voted for winning Republican candidates are disappointed by what happens in Washington over the next two years, many of them might very well vote for the hope-and-change stuff again in 2012. Hmm… seems I once read something about what happens to those who do not remember the lessons of history.

I get concerned whenever I hear media talking heads blather about the need for the two parties to "come together" and show a willingness to compromise so they can "get something done." Talk about not getting it. The true Tea Partiers don’t want Republicans to "come together" with their Democratic counterparts who want bigger government, more spending, more taxes, more regulation  —  and less liberty.

They don’t want the people they just voted into office to slow the growth of government spending; they want government spending drastically cut. They don’t want the "Bush tax cuts" extended; they want more tax cuts. They don’t want closer oversight of the Environmental Protection Agency; they want the EPA defunded — or, better yet, eliminated. No need to go on… you get the idea.

But won’t this kind of attitude on the part of Republicans cause gridlock? Yes! It will cause beautiful, progressive-stifling, liberty-protecting gridlock. Those who propelled Tea Party candidates into office don’t want the government to "get something done" if that means enacting more laws and finding new and more devious ways to increase taxes (e.g., Cap-and-Trade and huge increases in the money supply).

The only thing they want politicians to do is repeal all unConstitutional laws already on the books, get out of the way of entrepreneurs and the private sector and focus on protecting the lives and property of all United States citizens. Whether a citizen happens to be "rich" or "poor" is irrelevant — and, quite frankly, none of the government’s business. While the concern of some politicians for the perceived hardship of any particular group may make for an interesting sociological or philosophical discussion, it does not give them the right to forcibly redistribute the assets of others.

Keeping all this in mind, I have to give credit to establishment Senator Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), who demonstrated that he understood perfectly the message of the electorate when he said that his party’s number-one objective is to make Obama a one-term President. This, of course, brought about feigned indignation from the left.

But McConnell stuck to his guns in a speech to a Heritage Foundation audience when he said, "… if our primary legislative goals are to repeal and replace the health spending bill, to end the bailouts, cut spending and shrink the size and scope of government, the only way to do all these things is to put someone in the White House who won’t veto any of these things."

Why in the world wouldn’t your number-one objective be to get rid of the big dog who’s calling the progressive shots from the White House? It’s an over-arching objective that should begin immediately and continue, in full-court-press fashion, over the next two years.

In the meantime, as part of this over-arching objective, quick passage of a bill to repeal Obamacare should be front and center, followed by an all-out war against the Cap-and-Trade scam. And let’s not forget Representative Michele Bachmann’s (R-Minn.) main focus: "I think that all we should do is issue subpoenas and have one hearing after another, and expose all the nonsense that has gone on." As I have previously written, I interpret her word nonsense to be a euphemism for blatant criminal activity.

Those who would argue that investigating congressional wrongdoing over the past two years is a waste of taxpayer money are wrong. If there are no consequences to criminal activity in government, felonious politicians have no incentive to change their ways. It’s very important that there be a bloodletting that politicians will remember for decades to come.

I could go on and on, but, in the end, what the midterm elections were really all about was freedom. Clearly, though I doubt most people realize it, freedom is what underlies most of the economic problems that dominate the daily news. And if a staunch Marxist is allowed to hold the reins of power much longer, Americans might just lose forever what’s left of their rapidly shrinking supply of that most precious of all commodities.

That said, McConnell is right. Let’s all make a commitment to bring to an end the hope-and-change nonsense in 2012.

    Robert stated:

“While it’s true that slightly more than half of those who voted sent a signal to Washington that they want government to drastically decrease spending, taxes and regulation, the painful reality is that slightly less than half of the voters cast their ballots in favor of Democratic candidates who, with just a few notable exceptions, want to increase spending, taxes and regulation”

I agree with this statement. What bothers me is we have a lot of people voting who have no clue what they are voting about or who they are voting for.
Most people listen to the bias of the main stream media and are duped into their lies and deceptions.
We cannot become like Robert says overly exuberant, thinking the Progressive movement is dead. That would be like saying we have defeated Satan. They are just biding their time already planning on the next dastardly deed they can come up with.

We do NOT want the two parties to come together or even agree on all things. We will be the BIG losers if this happens. The Democrats will run over the Republicans that are trying, and the RINO’s and Dems will be laughing all through the calamity.

    • RossS

Jana, I agree with you. I think what a lot of individuals do not realize is the reason why so many people are voting for the marxist (democrat) element. You can thank the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and similar legislation pushed by democrats (and some republicans). This act was rammed down the throats of the American electorate during the administration of Lyndon B. Johnson who made a major contibution to the rise of the “left” in this nation. A lot of people voting do not have a clue as to what is going on…they are brain dead! They are manipulated by democrats and vote democrat because they are not informed. The last thing a democrat wants is an truly “informed voter.” The Obamas, Clintons, Axelrods, Reids, Pelosis, Durbins, Schumers,Feinteins, Boxers, Murrays, ET AL are all marxist inspired elitists who have nothing but contempt for the average American working man and woman! This is the problem….a lot of the “electorate” is composed of an “ignorant mass” who believes the “world owes them a living.” And they are fed this nonsense by democrats who want to establish a marxist elitist and all powerful central government that will be as oppressive as anything Josef Stalin could have imagined!!!!

      • JRC

Unfortunately, the brain death and uninformed voters are on both sides. People who blindly voting the party line without knowing the candidates and the program…on both sides are nothing but blind sheep. Al lot of times it is better to vote against the party line because the person has the better record or program.

        • alpha-lemming

True… the most recent election is the first one in 20+ years where I’ve actually had something to vote FOR and not be reduced to obstruction/damage control choices.

        • kenneth

And whose fault would that be. I can think of at least two. Individuals lack of responsibility which we can’t govern to. That is an individual choice. The other reason I have has to do with the exposure to media and we all know that the media isn’t biased, right! When we have people who actually believe all of the left wing dribble that the none cable channels give out why would people be misinformed. Quite frankly that is why the left survives. Feed people the bent truth, to out and out lies, and the voting population will respond in kind. Mean while we have Fox channel being attacked because from the left wing main steam media they can’t tell a story left sided enough to call it fair and balanced. This is what our country has come to. When I was a kid the media was taught to me to be the government watch dog to make sure they are doing the work of the American people. News was news not opinion coverage. Now you can’t go to a major tv channel and get a fair and honest coverage of what really is going on in our government. Most of it is left bent. If the left wing wants to point to ill informed voters for bad voting, point to left wing lying media for the responsibility. They are the ones with the most air time of any other media in the world. Telling people lies doesn’t produce great results ever.

          • Buster

The only brain dead voters are those who believe the crap on this web site.

          • Viktor Leben

When persons vote most of them say to themselves “Themselves ! What’s in it for ME !!!!?” Voters vote for the politician that offers them what they want. In the case of the American voter it’s $$ MO’ MONEY $$ !!!!!

So PLEEEEZE ! don’t be so naive to think persons are making “honest mistakes” because they are “uninformed” or “stupid”.

The American voter knows the game. The game is “He who acquires the most chips wins” .. and if they got to use the Federal government to do that – they sure will !

The voters only allow capitalism to the degree that it benefits them. The voters have seen first hand what happens when you eat the “Goose that lays the Golden Eggs” and the damn cannibals want the gold from you producers !

Give the producers enough economic freedom for awhile so they can lay some eggs (elect the Tea Party) then confiscate their riches later using the vote (bring the leftist theftist Democrats back in 2012) ….

            Kenneth:

When you look at Congress now and the large number of Socialist Democrats who are in important positions such as Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Henry Waxman and Barney Frank, one has to be concerned. I know you are familiar with Reid and Pelosi but did you know Henry Waxman is the head man on Cap and Trade or that Barney Frank was up to his eyeballs in the Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac fiasco? If you want to destroy our economy, how do you accomplish this?; you destroy the middle class and I believe that is their aim in order to replace Capitalism with Socialism.

This is not only my opinion but something I was told back in 1969 by a political Science Major and the people involved then were some very influential people in our government, some Republican but mostly Democrats that wanted to establish a world government based on Socialism and with one currency. We now have a world bank, Europe with one currency. We have those in government now that are trying to force United Nations laws over our own and if you follow the news, you know who they are. Hopefully, the new Congress can reverse this trend.

          • Denniso

So Democrats want more regulation and higher taxes? I guess that means
that the rightwing wants lower taxes and less regulation? So,we should be content w/ the level of regulation on the oil industry that led to the largest oil spill ever in american waters, costing billions to the southern state economies and trashed the beaches and marine life there? We should accept the lax regulations that allowed for the largest global financial collapse since 1929 and has impoverished millions of americans and crippled the economy for the past 2 yrs?
Tax increases? What a lie and myth…any so called increases would only be the return to the levels for the top 2% that existed before Bush’s tax cuts, that he didn’t pay for w/ spending cuts 8 yrs ago,and that helped cause the balloning national debt. Obama and the Dems want to keep the cuts for everyone else in place, though they are also responsible for the debt.

Why does the rightwing have to continue to lie and twist the truth? Are they so devoid of ethics and morality that they can do nothing else but lie and spin? It appears that you people and your leaders have developed a whole new philosophy of politics and policy…ignore the truth and spin absolutely every issue to your benefit, lies and all.

      • Eddie

Ross,I couldn’t agree more. The perfect example of brain dead voters was here in Nevada putting Dirty Harry back in his old job of his war against the American people. There’s no boundaries to his arrogance and we’re stuck with six more years of his crap just like the American people are stuck with six more years of Babs Boxer’s San Francisco horse apples. It is hoped the new members of the GOP along with the establishment members who remain i.e. Orrin Hatch,Mitch McConnell,Ol’ Man McCain, all grow some real cojones to beat down talk of phony bipartisanship and turn back the tide of Marxism that has infected this country like a bad disease.

        • Vicki

And voting for Nancy “We have to Pass The Bill So You Can Find Out What’s In It.” Pelosi even after this obvious arrogant elitist attitude?

Glad they got Pelosi back. Maybe she can anger a few more into abandoning the insanity of the progressive agenda.

        • Richard Pawley

The only thing that can defeat Marxism is truth, as in “The Truth shall set you free.” Many in this country today no longer believe in the God of our founding fathers – not church, not religion – GOD. If we ever return to the time proven values and truth of the dignity of man as espoused in the Bible, then we will not have perverts grouping children in the name of safety on airlines. It’s inconvenient but I will drive, take a train, or stay home. I didn’t like the fact that I had to take my shoes off (the floor was not the cleanest) the last time I flew to a funeral and I will surely not put up with this Nazi-like intrusion which is certainly an unreasonable search (see the fourth amendment). It will just be a matter of time until these brand new dehumanizing scanners will be set up in banks and major government buildings – not the older scanners of 2009 but the new ones that make images that can be reverse printed to look like photos from the porn magazines. Some smart TSA crook will likely find a way to sell some of these photos of movie stars who fly for a fortune and they will be out there in cyberspace forever. Did you read of the recent arrest of the TSA supervisor who stole tens of thousands of dollars for two years in Newark while clients were going through the x-ray machine with their valuables in the box? How soon will it be until these new machines will be set up in banks and major government buildings. It’s almost as if they are forcing those who hate the concept of individual freedom to use bigger weapons and pick targets like malls and schools. None of this is really about safety but it’s about government money going to the companies who build these devices. Israel has never had incidents like we have and they want nothing to do with such scanners but we are told we can’t do what they do. We are not AMER-I-CANs any more but AMER-I-CAN’Ts and there are always excuses. These scanners can’t even detect plastic explosives so what are the Muslim terrorists going to do, make their underwear out of the plastic explosives now. These people are greatly deceived but they are not stupid and our political correctness could destroy us yet.
In any event the Tea Party Conservatives must not compromise with the American-hating members of congress (small ‘c’ by choice). The elitist Democratic socialists (not all Democrats) have a disease called God-itis. They believe they have the wisdom of God or should be gods. God doesn’t compromise so they don’t either, but they are demanding that the Republicans compromise. They are $3 bills, phonies (not all of course) but they don’t compromise on their attempts to reduce the United States to a brick in the world community rather than a unique country that millions would still like to immigrate to if they could. The RINO Republicans, sold out to multi-national business and the owners of the FED, are no better. I’m afraid nothing can stop the tripling of prices that the 111th Pelosi-Reid congress has caused. They have had four years of controlling the budget of our nation and they have almost destroyed the dollar and the economy with their insane spending (more than was spent from 1776 up until Ford was President) but as I said in my politically incorrect book, “The Last Days of the Late Great United States,” can you imagine how much we will be loved by those who hate us now, if we take down their economies with us when we destroy the value of the dollar? That is what we are doing, not just destroying the dollar but forcing everyone to create paper money so the banks of the world can profit from derivative investments which absolutely require inflation. In my 2006 autobiography I pointed out that the value of these derivatives was over 300 Trillion but they now exceed the value of the whole planet! When Gordon Brown was giving away the gold of England (“Brown’s Folly”) I was encouraging any with money to buy gold. I don’t do that anymore. Now I try to persuade them to buy non-perishable or emergency food, move into less populated areas, and to get closer to God. In the meantime we need to support the new people we just sent to congress and let them know that they must not compromise with those who want to destroy the United States, be they fanatical Muslim terrorists or members of congress. Nothing can stop prices from tripling now because of what the Pelosi-Reid congress has spent (have you noticed how Pelosi-Reid rhymes with loco-weed) but if we don’t cut the budget of ALL DEPARTMENTS OF GOVERNMENT by 20%, reduce government salaries to their private equivalents instead of making ‘government service’ a cushy job with much higher salaries and benefits than tens of millions of Americans could ever hope to make, AND ELIMINATE MANY USELESS DEPARTMENTS OF GOVERNMENT and stop the growth of Marxist unions who care not a whit who they work for (not the members but the leadership) and eliminate the several hundreds of new bureaucracies that Obama-care has set up, then things could be much worse than just prices tripling. Don’t believe it? Then do nothing but copy this and print it out and save it for five or six years, and weep! “My people perish for lack of knowledge” God said though one of his prophets to ancient Israel and that is surely so today in the United States, or it will be if we continue on the path many seem to have chosen. Dum Spiro Spero!

            Good read_ Richard!

          • Jana

            Richard,
You are so right in that the TRUTH will set us free. We do need to turn back to God in all of our ways and do things HIS way.

People think they are so smart and so wise, but it is foolishness to God. We need HIS Wisdom.

          • Denniso

You want to ‘turn back to God’, go ahead, nobody’s stopping you…just don’t try to force your individual God on others and the gov’t. Simple…

          • Jana

Denniso, No-one is trying to force our precious God on anyone. He is way too precious to try and force someone into believing in Him. You have the right to believe however you want. Its your ship, sail it like you want.

          • http://donthaveone Beberoni

denniso, you want to live without God, you go ahead. And it is quite obvious by your posts that you do, because you are so full of doom and gloom and hatred. Maybe if you let Him in your life, you would find the peace inside and not have to be that way. Or you can continue to let Satan run your life until he has you for eternity. The beauty of it is, the decision is yours. In life, things are from one of two places, they are either of God, or they are of Satan. And those choices you make here, determine where you spend the rest of your life. Choose wisely son. Chose wisely. There is still time to change the road your on.

          • Denniso

Beb…I think you’re not doing much actual reading of the posts here,if you think I’m full of doom and gloom. It’s your buddies here, most of the posts, that are predicting the end of times, the end of our country,a dictatorship coming, etc, etc…Read and don’t just talk.

Your little myth about ‘Satan’ works for little kids to keep them in line and going to church. Sorry if it is too juvenile for educated adults.

        • Palin12

          Eddie,
I’m in Nevada too and I agree. However, it has been reported that Reid has already suffered one stroke, he’ll be 71 this week, and he looks pretty frail if you ask me. There’s a good chance he may not last another 6 years and our governor-elect is republican.

      • Warrior

Time is running out. With 50,000 TSA workers about to go union and the health care debacle taking shape with total government take over, the “Death Star” is almost complete. 100 years of “Progressive” rule.

Dems do not play by any rules but the ones they make up. Lie, cheat and steal are all accepted ingredients in their recipe. Get after these clowns now.

        • http://donthaveone Beberoni

And its hard to believe that the unions are so stupid, that even after Clinton sold thousands of their jobs to Mexico, that they still pour millions into the democratic coffers and vote for them, when it is obvious the democrats dont give a rats ass about them, other than wanting their votes. Thats it. They are getting used, and they willingly allow it. Hard to respect that at all.

      • bruce d.

I am also concerned that Marxist are coming into this country by the millions, both legally and illegally. If we are not more decerning of who comes into this country it will only be a matter of time before the left is a permanent majority.

Johnson was Kennedy’s vice President and came into office after President Kennedy’s assination.
On June 4th President John F. Kennedy (the 35th President of the United States 1961 – 1963) signs Executive Order 11110 which returned to the U.S. government the power to issue currency, without going through the Rosthchilds owned Federal Reserve.
I believe is why he was assinated. The Federal Reserve is still owned by the Rothschilds, they are foreigners that still print our money. They do so illegally.

        • Sharon

Rothschilds are Ben Bernanke’s employer. This Banking family is Jewish (Their real name was Meyer) who control ALL the Central Banks (money supplies) of virtually ALL the countries in the world. They are shareholders in the Federal Reserve, Bank of England, Bank of Canada, Bank of Australia & new Zealand, and who know what else, Shareholders of the Bank of International Settlements, the World Bank, & the IMF. They make their money by funding wars.

Abraham Lincoln was half Jewish and a member of the Rothchild family by blood. His father was A. A. Spring (real name Springstein). The Zionist Occupation govt. was brought into America under Linclons rule. He was conceived in Lincolnton.

Obviously, Karolyn is too scared to deal with the anti-constitutional situation about how our own currency is handled and HOW THAT FACT actually affects her own pocketbook. As you can see, she’s trying to divert the discussion away from the topic overall.

This ssue about the “control of money” is not anything at all related to RACE, RELIGION, or any other situation… it’s about keeping peopple as “slaves to currency”.

Money is not something that should make people kneel…
Money should only be a tool to assist people with commerce…

Right now, that Liberty has been stolen from us…
You either believe in this Country’s Constitution or you like living on your knees.

Useing decoy conversation is the proof that you like things the way they’ve been perverted… by the Banking Cabal.

What’s disappointing, is how so many Politicians have come and gone, and NONE of them, save Ron Paul, have dared to ever stand against THE FED …. like John F Kennedy did with E.O. 11110.

Things could be much much better if most Americans would finally stand up and show some real courage against this bull$hit.

Mr. Ringer is right – this is no time to start celebrating. It was only a half step back in the other direction. The Rothschilds have been at this since the 1730′s and they are now the richest family on the planet.. to the tune of $2.5-Trillion … all alone they could end world hunger.

Ron Paul is a Statesman – most other elected officials are only Politicians.

Mr. Ringer – I don’t necessarily trust Mitch McConnell … just so you know!

          • Denniso

I wonder if you could elaborate on exactly which freedoms have been stolen from you??

          • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Its all pointing to exactly what the Bible says will happen in the end times. There will be a one world government consisting of 10 nations, of which 3 will be removed rather quickly. It will be around this time that the anti-christ will be revealed. For those of you that dont believe, and will remain here for the tribulation, just keep an eye on the moslem mosque in the middle of Israel. When that thing, refered to as “The temple of obamination” gets tore down, and they start rebuilding God’s temple, it is getting really close. Real close.

          • Denniso

You’re joking, right? I don’t recall the bible mentioning anything about a one world gov’t…I think you’re stretching a bit. I wonder if you know that essentially every generation of christians has predicted the ‘end times’,and that they never seem to come? I wonder why…

          • Jana

That shows Denniso, that you don’t know your excuse me, the Bible.

    • jerry

Robert seems to have adequately outlined the big picture. The GOP does not get that one of their failures has been that they have become functional progressives in their effort to “get along” and “get things done”, not to mention “get re-elected”. They have been mislead by the media, wasted effort listening to pundits rather than the people.

      • Angel Wannabe

Yepper, Jerry, thats why the Repubs are on notice and being watched. The big question is, now thats is started, will we continually peel back the curtain to reveal the true OZ or will we lose interest or cowar?

        • Flagwaver2010

          Right on, Jerry and Angel!

        • Viktor Leben

Who cares ? I just want the ruby slippers so I can go home to Kansas … Heh Heh !!!!

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

You got that right. Its just like when the liberals rise up and have these public gatherings about different things, and all these young people gather there, and the news guy asks them for their opinion on the subject at hand, and most of them havent any idea at all. They just say they heard this was going on and thought they should show up and support it, when they dont even know what it is they showed up to support. Many, and I mean many, that pulled the Barack Obama lever, were hypnotized by millions upon millions of dollars of TV advertisement’s constantly chanting change, change, change. The problem is, they never educated themselves as to who he is, what he is, what he stands for, what qualifications he might possible have, and what direction does he want to take us to. And here two years later, we still dont know a lot of these things about this guy, except that he has paid a fortune to lawyers to defend having to show college papers and birth certificate and such. I think that maybe to vote, one should have to take some kind of litmus test, to show you have half an understanding of things going on around you. That might just eliminate mistakes like this that are direct results of the liberal media brain washing the general uneducated public.

      • eddie47d

You assume to much in blaming the media and calling the majority of Americans uneducated. Obama put his foot in mouth on that issue (going after Fox and saying certain people cling to their religion and guns). You are doing the same thing in you’re accusations that “Democrats” are uneducated. It could backfire and those uneducated voter will make sure Obama gets re-elected.

        • Warrior

Will the same uneducated union hacks vote for Hillary?

            Michael J__LMAO!!!__I did!

        • Jana

          Eddie,
The majority of the people are uneducated in the ways of politics and in who they are voting for. They don’t have time. They are busy trying to make a living for their families and getting kids from one place to another, as well as just plain life. They see a few minutes of a politicians speach and take him or her at their word. Plus their parents have always been Republicans or Democrats so they feel oh well, whatever, that’s the way I’ll vote.
They aren’t aware of the devious ways of a lot of people. I used to be one of those, so I know how it goes. I have been awakened in the past 4 or 5 years, and I became so because of the rights that we used to enjoy are being taken from us. I am fighting back now, by becoming an informed voter, and spreading the truth as best as I can.

          • http://centurylink frank

eddie69d, The Democrats are not uneducated, they are “indoctrinated” because they are uneducated. So I repeat be nice and be polite and go F%$# yourself in Marxist Cuba and take all the Democrats with you and show us how to build and create a greater place than the United States of America.

        • Vicki

I dont know about a majority of Americans but certainly a majority of people in Pelosi’s district and in Nevada (Assuming no voter fraud).

Who with even a slight amount of education would vote in Nancy “we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it” Pelosi.

An even bigger shock is when I found this quote ON THE US SPEAKERS OFFICIAL WEBSITE. They are PROUD of their arrogance.

(What follows is something that Eddie47d appears to be uneducated about. It is called a cite. It is evidence that my assertion about the quote being on an official US Gov website is a fact.)

          http://www.speaker.gov/newsroom/pressreleases?id=1576

        • Kate8

eddie, There is a real difference between ‘educated’ and ‘indoctrinated’, though I doubt you see it. And the media plays a big role in that indoctrination, reinforcing what is taught in schools.

The media has been quite intentionally used to mold the minds of the masses according to the agenda of the elites. If you can’t see that, then you really are simple.

Obama is a shoe in for 2012,especially if Barbie Palin runs. Haven’t you figured out that the majority of americans think she’s a dimwit only after money? Quit her governor job and chased the big bucks…I wonder if any president has ever been elected after quiting an elected position halfway through to get rich?

        • http://donthaveone Beberoni

I didnt say the democrats were uneducated. I said people that pulled the Obama lever were uneducated. How can you be educated as to what a politician stands for, who he is,what he is, where he is from, what his direction is, when he revealed absolutely none of this. Not one thing. It was all hidden, and most still is, protected by legal teams. And dont confuse educated with what you learn in school. That is an education. Educated voter, is someone who actually researches the candidates, finds out about them, as to who they are, where they have been, where they are going, what they stand for. Their background, their alliances and friends, and things like that. None of this was revealed about Obama, and just voting for someone because the brainsucker TV in your living room kept chanting change, change, change, well sir, that is an un-educated vote.

          • Denniso

I think you’re talking about Bush in 2000 and the uneducated people who voted him in. The media never looked into his being a born again christian, not just a christian, but born again. His favorite ‘philosopher’ is Jesus? I thought Jesus was supposed to be a god…

The big problem w/a test is who would write it! Everyone wagging a finger at everyone else and crying “Liar!” Dems trying to rewrite history is a never-ending story…

        • Vicki

I have to write it. I am the only one I KNOW I can trust :)

Or we could go back to the old ways and those who own property voted. That was cause in the old ways only property owners were affected. What with all the unconstitutional stuff government does these days everyone is affected so everyone (including the dead in some locales) gets a vote.

          • Jana

            Vicki,
I agree with you all the way. The only way it affects the rest of them is they are on the receiving side of the hand outs.

Revisionist history. Part 2 in the democrat playbook. Rewrite history to read the way you think it should have been, instead of how it really was. Revisionist history. They specialize in it.

      JANA AND ANYONE LISTENING

ALL THIS SEEMS TO BE IN OPPOSITION TO OBAMA WHEN THE MIDTERM ELECTIONS STARTED THE FOCAS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ON JOBS!!!!! and so far no republican or democrat has laid out a plan for jobs nor have i herd any talk of such insted each party seems to have thier own agenda. repiling health care is not the awnser to jobs, stop goverment spending don’t create jobs, and if i remember correctly that was the main focas of the campain for republicans and the people that voted them in, i for one am a democrat…who voted republican because the dems verry little to produce jobs, and the bush tax cuts is just greed, people who make over 250 a year can put food on the table and pay thier bills. so thats a line of cow stuff. and i can tell u that a lot of dems voted republican, because of jobs!!!!!!!! so if u think we won’t vote obama back in JUST CONTINUE ON THE PATH YOUR ON AND SEE

      • Dale on the left coast

RAY????? Stop Govt Spending = creates jobs!!! Repeal Obamacare = creates jobs!!! Make tax cuts permanent for all = creates jobs!!
What movie have you been watching???
Govts don’t create jobs, but all of the exercises above certainly DESTROY jobs. Stabilizing the role of govt is the fastest way to encourage the American business man to expand his business and hire for the long haul. Crazy programs by crazed politicians only prolong the Obummer depression.

      • Jana

        RAY,
So far the Republicans haven’t been allowed to join in any of the reindeers games, meaning the Democrats. Obama shut the Republicans out. The Democrats shut the Republicans out. So much for Obama’s promises to unite the country. He is a divider, not a uniter.

        • Angel Wannabe

          Jana, Hear, Hear!!!

        • Kate8

Jana, Any partisan claiming to be a uniter is a joke, anyway. You cannot unite people on issues to which they are diametrically opposed. That would mean one side has to give up their position.

Obama is not someone I would want to be united under.

      • Another Vet

Com’on Ray, government does not create jobs! they can make it hard to impossible for business owners to grow their businesses though! Government intrusion and interference IS THE PROBLEM! This is what the Dems are doing in spades, with the help of the previous administration. Who cares if the guy next to you is “rich” or not. They too are “the people” and their future is interlinked w/yours. You sound like you are buying into the Marxist mentality of class-warfare. “Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy, it’s inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.” Churchill I aspire to be wealthy one day and I hope YOU do too. Why would you vilify what you aspire to, unless you have given up “the great American dream.” When I succeed I still intend to be one “of the people.”

        • Vicki

A government plan for job growth is EASY. Get out of the way.

        • http://centurylink frank

Hey that how we got here.why dont the dum dem tell us what job there are going to make.there is not any job.that why they want to rise taxs so they can make more jobs doing nothing.all are plants are going.an the dum dem.still dreaming.

      • Viktor Leben

        Ray,

When inflation hits hard next year the welfare recipients (and unemployed) will be making $250,000 a year … and everyone with a job will be making more than $250,000/yr !

Prez Obama (Ben Bernanke) are going to raise taxes on every person. That’s what Quantitative Easing means …. Raise everone’s pay so they can be taxed more thru inflation ….

      • Bleh

        Ray,
“and the bush tax cuts is just greed, people who make over 250 a year can put food on the table and pay thier bills. so thats a line of cow stuff.”

What you are missing is that quite a few of those 250kers are our small to medium Business owners. The Tax cuts are not just for “people” with huge incomes. They are also for businesses who create those jobs you want created.
You want more jobs then the Gov needs to quit sucking the money from the small to medium sized business owners.
You want more jobs then the Gov needs to stop over regulation of industries that drive these small to medium business owners out of business.
What they should also do is roll some things back to pre-50′s, before the mass exodus of our industry overseas. Then institute some stuff to encourage it to return. Perhaps nuking the Federal Reserve would assist to this end as our dollar recovers from the last 97 years or so of inflation it caused.
That alone should do much for this economy.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Ray – do yourself a favor, and get educated on what the Bush tax cuts are. Stop buying into what your democrat leaders are telling you that they only benefit the rich, because that is an out and out lie. I make 50 grand a year, and they will up my taxes if they are taken away. They will also penalize me for being married if they are taken away, as part of the tax cuts stopped penalizing married couples that both work so much. Also, these same so called rich you want to punish, have succeeded in life by achieving and working hard at suceeding, instead of living on government handouts. And you want to punish them why? Why does everyone demonize anyone who is financially successful? I dont get it. Jealousy? Envy? Im not understanding it. If someone succeeds and makes far more money than I do, so what, more power to them. Well done. It doesnt hurt me any if my neighbor makes 3 times as much as I do. Big whup. Why do you want the government to punish them by taking more of it? Why? And why is it ok for the government to continue to give more and more money to people who are already living on handouts, then pop another kid, when they couldnt afford the ones they already have, then the government rewards this bad behavior by giving them more welfare and more food stamps. That is the real problem. Lets start rewarding success again, and making the failures recognize the ill of their ways, and make them step up, instead of rewarding them and punishing those who do things right. Im sick of it. And you are so wrong, about the Bush tax cuts only helping the so called rich. Maybe you need to read up on this, and if your working, youll find out your taxes will go up.

    • Daniel from TN

The definition of bipartisan depends on who’s using the term. If a Republican says it, the meaning is: “Let’s work together to find a solution.” If a Democrat or Rino says it, the meaning is: “Just shut your mouth and agree with me.” Democrats and Rinos do not want discussion, they want to rule.

      • Robin from Arcadia, IN

Daniel from TN… So much truth in your post! Well said!

    • barbm

” The true Tea Partiers don’t want Republicans to “come together” with their Democratic counterparts….” PLEASE pay attention to what you write, mr. ringer. there is a VAST difference between democrat and democratic.

    • patricia

I agree wholeheartedly with Jana. Voting was only part of the problem. Right now you STILL have a peron who spends like a banshee gone wild in charge. While it is necessary to have a leader in the WH …..first you have to find one?????!!!!!!

    • Les

So true, Jana, what was seen was the power of a lie grown on the manure of ignorance in the sunshine of selfishness. In the debacle of failed socialist Greece they just voted the socialists back in, after all, if you are going to live off your neighbors you will need well versed thieves to run the gang. As I speak with folks (1400 phone calls in the last week of the election) I often hear them say, “Yes, I can see that this is going to end badly. But I doubt I will see it in my lifetime.” Do you see what they are saying? They are so self absorbed that these worshipers of Moloch are hoping that the destruction they have worked towards will fall on their children, not them. My disgust overwhelms my concern.

      • (WIA) Wild Indian in Action

Les, And so shall it be written.

      • Vicki

Boy aren’t they going to be surprised on resurrection day.

    • Kate8

Jana, I agree, too. The democrats know that it is close enough that the millions of new voters they plan to capture in 2012 could easily tip the scales.

I’m talking about illegal aliens, whether they get amnesty or not, the felon vote, new voters coming of age, and whoever else they can think of.

We’d better be really busy for the next voting cycle, countering the lies about us from the Left. And telling the truth about their agenda. There may still be a lot of people who are able to think rationally once they know the facts.

    • Void1972

      Jana,
If you think about the amount of people sucking off our wonderful entitlement system, you see where the Democrats are getting the vote!
Why are we the people sitting back and letting our government destroy this once great and powerful nation, created by God and built on the blood of great Americans?
It is up to us to take a stand and fight back! Say no to letting illegals come into our country and get a free ride while we work like animals to support our families and theirs!
Say no to corrupt entitlement programs that take care of minorities only, and let the white poor suffer like animals, while they drive to the supermarket in a Mercedes and spend our hard earned money on thier fat obese lazy usless clan of anti-American scum!
Say no to evil, greedy scum that raped our wealth and now own our homes because our government let them! They use their religion as a shield to rape and plunder many past powers, but make no mistake, these people have no love nor fear of God, for they praise only one G.O.D.(gold.oil.diamonds).
Say no to the Communist teaching our youth how terrible our founding fathers were, and how holy Martin Luther King was, and how our current president can walk on water!
I can go on for hours, but have to run.
Please take a stand against the powers that are running our Government, not the elected, but the powers behind them!
Research how Communist like Reid, Polosi, Frank and Obama have made it to such incredible positions of power.
Understand the true battle before us.
We are fighting evil, true satanist who follow the teaching of Saul Alinski who’s “Rules for Radicals” is dedicated to the only thing that they all worship, lucifer.

  • Dan az

blatant criminal activity.Thats an understatement its treasonists at best!I believe in the laws that are posed on the people and I feel that all of them need to be held accountable for the failure to do what is best for the nation rather than them selves. Greed is a sickness and a means of corruption but the ones that we need to hold responsible are the ones that pull the strings.Nothing can truly be stopped until you stop the ones that control the strings. Then and only then can we cure the cancer of this once fine nation.

    • MARYBACK

Most Democrats vote because their parents were Democrats and they do not even know what the party is doing let alone know where they are leading us or what harm they are doing to this country. I have a lot of Catholic choir members who state they are Democrats but did not know that the Democrats support abortion.
It is a shame that we do not have a test to qualify to vote. Most of our college students would not qualify either.

      • FlaJim

Geography has a lot to do with it, too. The Northeast and Left Coast are mostly monolithic in the support of Dems. Remove them from the equation and you’ll find that a large majority support coservative positions. Look at a map following the election and you can see how the majority – normal Americans or middle Americans – votes. It’s nearly all red.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

You are so correct. I was born and raised democrat, and was brought up being told that the democrats are for the working man and the republicans were for the rich only. I believed this until I was 40, and got off the drugs and alcohol, and started paying attention to this stuff, and actually looking at the things each party stands for. While there is still a boat load of room for improvement in the Republican Party, I switched to them at age 40, 12 years ago. I found the democrats represent raising taxes and punishing the successful, while expanding government, especially social handout agencies, which reward the failures of society, and allow them to continue year after year to sponge off of the working people. The democrats stand for murdering babies, and now have even expanded that to using our tax dollars to pay for these murders in third world countries. They call it abortion, but fact is, without a doubt, its murder. Had this been done to me when I was a fetus, I wouldnt be here. But I am here, so it would have been murdering me back then. Its murder no matter how they try to hide it and make it seem ok, its cold blooded murder, and Im sure God isnt going to be to happy on judgment day to those who propagate it to be ok. Now days, the democrats have stooped so low as to empower our enemies, give them lawyers to protect them, and hand cuff our military and intelligence agencies in seeking them out. This is the most un-American behavior I have ever seen out of any political party, and it is un-acceptable. They purport themselves to be on the side of blacks and hispanics, when the truth be told, they seek to give them handouts more and more to keep them down and dependant upon government, so that they can keep their votes. One day these two largest minority groups will wake up and see how they are being used, and will rise up and join the rest of the country as one, instead of seeking to be separated as being a minority group, as the democrats would like to keep them isolated. Its a fact and it cant be denied as the democrats actions back up all these things. But so many of us were misled by our parents as to who the democrats are, and now that my parents are old, all they watch is the national news, and it never gets exposed to them as to who today’s democrats really are. They are all FDR democrats and will never change. They dont believe me when I provide proof to them of all the lies and damning things FDR did that this country is still paying for, as they cannot admit that they were wrong all these years in their thinking. I mean, it would be hard to admit that the national press had your thoughts misguided about this stuff for the last 50 years. But it happened, and it continues to happen, until people do like I did, and start researching this stuff and get yourself educated as to what each party does or doesnt do, and what they believe in. Education does wonders.

        • Angel Wannabe

beberoni, your right, my Grandparents & Mother were Democrats, if they came back now, they’d most assuredly be considered Conservatives, cuz the Old Democratic party is dead. The guys in the party now, are Socialist, Communist Democrats (Progressives). There’s a biiiiig difference!

          • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Ill bet they have JFK rolling over in his grave.

          • Kate8

Angel W, Beberoni, Same here. My folks were democrats, too. The party was different then. My parents were wonderful people.

My sister married a Republican. We loved him, and looked up to him (my sister was 12 years older than me and her hubby was 11 years older than her). We had great conversations at the Sunday table, and no one ever got upset. We thought he was really smart. And we weren’t all that far apart, anyway. Same values, same love of country.

Some people have yet to figure out that the democrats are not the party of our parents. My folks would be horrified.

          • Vicki

My parents were one of each. Republican and Democrat. They had their differences :) but they would not recognize the current Democrat party. They would probably mistake the Republican party for Demcrat and wonder what happened to the GOP.

        • kenneth

This man has got it right on all accounts. The Republicans are fighting against a party who has the biggest blow horn (as BO would like to put it) with the lame stream media spewing lies, half lies, and campaign talking points over and over everyday so they keep their listen party under their lying influence. It almost seems that the only way to get these people’s attention is with a 2X4 up side their head. Are these bad people? Probably not, but as long as they continue to be misinformed they are a danger to this country, and the idea of what made this country great. The abortion issue is the moral decay of what character this country had. We are all blessed by God in this country. If you don’t believe it, leave it and will quickly know. Abortion is murder. We still want to profess we are a Christian country. I know of Catholics who profess to love God and stand behind the idea that murder is okay as long it is called Abortion. I find it hard knowing how you can be a Democrat and call yourself a Catholic in the same breath. They are basically trying to rewrite the moral base of this country so there is nothing that we won’t except. It every Christian in this country voted Republican there is no way there would be half the B/S that is going on in this country. The Democratic ideas of today is not what started this country and it isn’t what made it great. The Democratic ideas have done nothing more then keep us all at odds against each other so we are constantly tearing down and rebuilding our countries core values and economy. We will never move forward until it is legalized that politicians and the media when proven that they lied to further their cause or to destroy another’s reputation is tried and sentenced. There use to be enough good people in this country that if you did lie or misrepresent facts, there were real public consequences for your action. There wasn’t a sentence but there was real public negative reaction. Now it is dismiss as if some one had just sneezed on you. We wipe it away and off to the next person spewing what ever. We are out ragged but then forgotten. Example: Barney Frank and his misrepresentation of the facts at hearings about Fannie Mai and Freddie Mac. What happened nothing. He actually got reelected. Do I have to say anymore about what is wrong with this country. This country isn’t living by God’s words. We don’t love God like we should, or the Barney Franks of this day in age would not be influencing this country.

I would like to know how a person can call themselves a Catholic, whose very tenant is against abortion, and yet something like 80 percent of Catholics voted democrat. How can that be? I would have to say a lot of hippocrites indeed. You cannot be against murdering infants, then vote to murder them. Someone is lying to themselves.

          • eddie47d

No candidate can afford to be a one issue politician. The more a pro life candidate gets in someones face on that issue the more the opposition fights back and they usually win. Moral issues can divide both parties. Most people recognize that the Vietnam War was a manipulated boondoggle; but back in the day the more you fought against the war the more the “opposition” endorsed it. That led to a whupping for McGovern at the polls. Anti-abortion politicians sometimes face the same fate because of their take no prisoners philosophy.

        • Robin from Arcadia, IN

Beberoni… Your story is almost identical to mine! Both my parents were Democrats. They voted the party that stood with the working man! So did I for years! When I changed over to Republican I am sure they could not understand it. They didn’t want to hear about the Dems supporting abortion, or hand outs, or admit that there were many that were corrupt in government. My folks never lived to see Obama become president. Dad was a bit of a racist. He probably wouldn’t have voted in 2008. I am sure his ashes are flying all over the place in that urn! He was a WW 11 vet and not quite a teenager when the depression hit. He was 83 when he died and I am sure he never would have dreamed that our country would get to this point. But then again, he still would have been a Dem. He wouldn’t have changed even with evidence that the country was going off the deep end because of Dems. I am so grateful I was able to break free and think on my own and decide which way I wanted to go when I voted. We need to keep our faith. In the end that’s all we’ll have…

The firs thing that needs to be done after January 1, is launch another probe into Charlie Rangel who used his campaign PAC money to pay for his personal lawyers…this is not a misdemeanor, it is a crime. He needs to be shown that you simply cannot do what you want without repercussions. The people of Harlem must all be on entitlements to allow this crook to be re-elected. Next we move to Eric Holder and his decision to not abide by the Civil Rights law because the victims were white. He needs to be fired. Then, we can move to the POTUS. Under Article IV, Section IV of the Constitution, one of the few rights of the federal government is to protect America from an invasion. When you have 12 million illegal aliens from Mexico here, that constitutes an invasion. Not only has he failed to act under the Constitution, he has aided and abetted the enemy. And, when he filed suite against Arizona and the American People on behalf of the invaders, that constitutes crimes against the US which is punishable by impeachment first and charges of treason next. It is time to make people in government understand that they are not above the law…they must abide by the laws that they took an oath of office to uphold and they have certainly missed the bus whether they are riding in the front or in the back.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Many will call this a racist response, but it is true. Charles Rangels followers in Harlem are the same color as him. And I will guarantee you, that if you could walk down through the streets there and inquire with people, they would tell you that it is the white man out to get him, when it couldnt be further from the truth. The guy has been fleecing the government, the people, and everyone else he could get a buck from for years, and he will continue to do so because all they are going to do is slap his hands. Thats it. Its stinking unbelievable. He should be locked up for the rest of his life for being the common criminal he is. But you watch, he will walk with a hand slap. Because of the color he is. Ill guarantee it.

      • http://personalliberty Karen

I agree. Here in Florida there was someone in law enforcement put in federal prison for 2 years for misusing funds. I want to know why Rangel is going to keep his seat.

Karen, because apparently Washington elites are abouve the law!

          • Kate8

Corrupt Democrats get to keep their seats. Republicans are always forced to resign for ANY impropriety.

BTW, I realize that the term ‘corrupt democrat’ is redundant. Same with many republicans, too.

          • Angel Wannabe

  • Eric Bischoff

I agree with many things you report except for the claim that Obama is calling the progressive shots. There even you have bought into the misleading rhetoric that the progressive movement has any power at all in Washington or that Obama represents progressives.

We the real progressives will not claim him, we never have. We didn’t want him although I am sure that many progressives voted for him to get away from the Bush regime.

We have higher ideals. We know that a single payer option makes the most sense economically. It alone would save billions currently being stolen right from the top by the corrupt insurance industry. Why should a predatory unnecessary middle man industry dictate what kind of health care we can have. Why should they get a cut at all.

Businesses would be less encumbered to pursue their business instead of worrying about and competing for employees based on what kind of health care they can afford.

I am sorry but Socialism that puts people above the profits of a predatory industry is something we should all embrace. Socialism that bails out banks is what we should be upset with but somehow that always wins.

We the progressives do not want wars. We do want to occupy any other countries. We do want to covet other’s resources. We believe in paying for resources fair and square through the free market system. We believe that this alone is responsible for terrorism and our insecurity. Bring the troops home close the foreign bases now and save trillions.

We the progressives do not want America’s main industry to be seeling weapons all over the world. Weapons that sooner or later end up being used against our soldiers.

We the progressives want to renounce the use of nuclear weapons, mines, chemical and biological warfare and the use the depleted uranium. The barbarism needs to end.

We the progressives are tired of the Federal Reserve. It’s our money our treasury. the banksters need to butt out. Again why do we need a predatory middle man taking a huge cut off the top and dictating our monetary policy.

We the progressives want to change the tax system to one that is more fair and progressive and one that insures that all pay their fair share.

We the progressives want everyone paying into the social security system. Why should some making 50 million only pay social security on the first $100K. Let’s get real hat alone would make the system sound forever. Why should the most well to do pay the least proportionally. Why should the rich get an additional 13% tax break this way.

We the progressives are tired of the ineffective and bought up agencies like the EPA and FDA. We don’t want these agencies to have people going in and out through the revolving doors of the industries they are supposed to protect us from.

We the progressives want the corporate charters which are granted by we the people to have more teeth and more responsible behavior. Profits yes but never at the expense of people or the environment. If you want to hold American corporate charters you will need to end your shenanigans of hiding profits in offshore havens and you will need to pay your fair share.

We the progressives believe that we should cap the salary ratios between the lowest paid and highest paid. And that ratio should be kept low at least until there is no poverty, homelessness or hunger left in America.

We the progressives want higher education paid for. Everyone should be educated, or trained to be a productive citizen. One that contributes to the well being of society instead of the current sytem which is responsible for the drain on society.

We the progressives believe that we should promote and facilitate more worker owned cooperative corporations.

We the progressives believe that unions have their place and they should be encouraged instead of actively discouraged. That alone would help clean up their corruption.

We the progressives want campaign finance reform. We want our government back We want We the people not we the corporations. If there is something that should be repealed immediately it’s the supreme court ruling that gave corporations the right to buy elections.

We the people want run-off voting. We want everyone to feel like their vote counted. We want all parties represented. We want to hear public debates and we want everyone to be included. We have our own network in NPR and PBS and we could make prime time available for this.

We the progressives want an immediate repeal of the obscene Patriot act. We want all of our constitutional rights back immediately.

We the progressives want alternative energy and we want it now. We know about climate change, we are not stuck in the at first it is ridiculed stage.

We the progressives want to break up the big agribusiness monopolies. They have destroyed the small farms, our top soil and our food security. We want organic bio intensive diversified small and local farms back.

We the progressives want to change our unhealthy eating habits. We don’t want to be fat. We don’t want so much meat, so much processed foods. We don’t want to subsidize the fast food industry by subsidizing corn and soy.

We the progressives want to break up the big media monopolies. We want local newspapers and local radio and TV that serves our local communities. The technology makes this possible. The monopolies are the only thing standing in the way.

    I could go on…..

    What do you guys want?

    • Dan az

Well Eric I would like to see a much smaller Gov. We are not the worlds police force and I would like to cut all strings to the UN and I would like to see charges brought on to all who sided with this undocumented poser that is illegally posing as a president.I would also like for term limits for senators congressmen supreme court justices for starters.I would like to see the bill of rights and the constitution to be upheld verbatim. But mostly I would like to see the politically correct crap stopped now! And by the way thanks for explaining to me and others what you progessives stand for unlike like the liberal here that really dont seem to have any opinion of their own.

      • Vigilant

        Dan,

Eric is not a wolf in sheep’s clothing, he’s a jackal. Whenever a Marxist Socialist seeks to sell his point by hiding behind the “progressive” label, you know damn well that reveals the underhanded nature of the movement. I suspect many true liberals would rail at his hijacking of the label to further his nefarious plans. He’s taking his cue from Obama and the leftist propaganda machine.

All that was missing from his pile of garbage was “Workers of the world, unite!”

        • JeffH

Vigilant, Eric is obviously a student of Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals.

          • Vigilant

            JeffH,

There’s no doubt in my military mind about that.

          • Eric Bischoff

Thank you I”ll wear that as a badge of honor.

        • Eric Bischoff

And what’s your alternative banksters of the world unite?

          • Vigilant

No, how about “better dead than red” ?

          • eddie47d

And that is the Republicans favorite color.

          • Jana

            eddie,
Thats also the color of communism which is what Eric is. Are you proclaiming to be a communist too? I never took you for that, but if you defending him so much maybe I had better rethink what I do think of you. I know you are a Liberal but a Communist?

      • Jana

        Eric,
You say you progressives don’t claim Obama. That is because he is not LIBERAL enough for you. Everything you actually stand for goes against what the United States does stand for.
You are the one who thinks Reagan secretly met with the Iranians and told them not to release the hostages until he became President. Wow, talk about weird theories. As if Reagan had that much influence with the Iranians.
What you are proposing is closer to Communism than Socialism. Communism in theory is good, but the problem is the people running it becomes corrupt. We think we have a corrupt President now, just think what it would be like if he were our Dictator, which is what he wants to be.
Sorry, but you are wrong in your ideals. Communism does not work, and will not work on a people that have known true freedom. I am still young enough to know what true freedom is, and there are plenty more like me.

        • Eric Bischoff

It’s not my fault you are ignorant of the facts about Reagan.

You know every time you guys can’t debate actual facts you all start throwing out the scary monster labels like communism.

I am sorry but you are way off. I find communism and capitalism to be both equally distasteful. I know that they have run their course and failed. You may want to hang on to failed ideologies a little longer but that’s your problem. I am ready to move on to better ideas even if I have to create them myself.

I have no patience for old and outdated foolishness.

          • Jana

            Eric,
The one showing his true ignorance is the one looking back at you in the mirror. And we all know how sorry you are, every time you write your Communist dribble.
You SAY you find communism and capitalism to be equally distateful, but yet you talk like a communist and you espouse their ideologies.

People like you are the problem. In fact most of us are ashamed of people like you. You sound like a foolish old man.
You think of yourself as well read. You are well RED all right.

You say, “I have no patience for old and outdated foolishness.” Everything you espouse is outdated foolishness.

          • eddie47d

What communist dribble are you referring to?

          • Jana

            Oh eddie,
Get real, read what he is saying. If you can’t see it then you are not as smart as I thought you were.

    • http://none Mike

As I have said to you and Eddie many times over the last month or so.Your lable has been co-opted by the socialist/marxist movement. I can say now you got it do something about it.I can see many things in your statement that I could agree with and a few Idont thats where the true statesmen that we are supposed to have represent us come in. They are the ones that are supposed to hammer out the real comprimize not the fake one sided bull we have been handed as compromize.I could discuss it further with you but its kinda hard to do point by point here. Mike L.

      • eddie47d

There are more than a few middlemen in the private health care system and they all cost us dearly when our bills come in. The private health care system has not kept costs down and have continually increased their fees. They are an embarrassment on many fronts and it is their unscrupulous behavior that brought national health care to the forefront.

    • DaveH

Eric says “Why should a predatory unnecessary middle man industry dictate what kind of health care we can have. Why should they get a cut at all.”
So why should a predatory middle man get a cut? None do from me. I voluntarily don’t buy medical insurance. But if Eric has his way we won’t have a choice. That predatory middle man will be assigned to us whether we like it or not. Gotta love Liberal logic (oops, I mean Progressive logic). Different name, same pushy people.

      • Eric Bischoff

I guess we would need to have an opt-out option for Dave.

Although I think you are missing the point. We pay enough taxes already to cover everyone if we took out the predatory leeches that insurance companies are. They have outlived their usefulness and have abused their privilege and right to this business the minute they decided to not cover pre existing conditions or even denied payments to any of their deserving customers.

And although I believe that your request is not well thought out or even honest as you might be running to the emergency room for everything and anything if you ever got tot a point where you couldn’t afford a doctor and then we would be treating you even though you refused to participate like a good citizen should.

I would rather have exceptions who want out than 45 millions that are left out. There is no excuse anymore for the richest and best country in the world, as you so like to brag, not to take care of many of it’s innocent children who have no control over their faith yet. Have you thought about them Dave?

It seems to me that the richest and best country in the world could solve this problem easily because in order to earn that label this country would also need to have compassion, fairness and equal rights in order for all to pursue happiness.

        • http://donthaveone Beberoni

But you want government to pay for this evidently, not the individual, and Ive got a problem with that. I dont want to keep getting my taxes raised and raised, because some hypochondriac downt he street goes to the doctor 5 times a week because its free. Nothing is free. Someone is paying for it somewhere, and in socialized medicine, its me thats paying, because I work. I will gladly pay my premiums to cover me for what I and my family needs. And I like the health care I am afforded today. After Obama’s socialized medicine takes over, Im pretty sure Im not going to like what I see. 95 percent sure, and neither is anyone else, except for the unemployed who now get that free also, along with their free welfare money, and their free food stamps, and their free WIC. Now free health care. Boy, it justs keeps getting better and better for those living on government handouts doesnt it? And it keeps getting worse and worse for the working man that is paying the government a large amount for them to give away this stuff free to the undeserving lazy bums who wont get a job. We are on the wrong road, that is for sure.

          • Jana

            Eric,
Then why are there so many opt out options now for the Unions, including the Teachers Unions? Why do the Muslims get to opt out? There is a lot of discrimination going on in this fiasco of a supposed Health Care Bill, when in truth it doesn’t have anything to do about our health, it has to do about control.

          • libertytrain

I’m with you on the “opt outs” – how can that even be construed as legitimate. It is an outrage that they expect the rest of us to follow like sheep when so, so many are not going to be required to follow this ridiculous bill.

          • Eric Bischoff

We are all paying for it already. Get your heads out of your arses. The reason why we have such a lousy healthcare system with such low ranking in the world is because of people like you holding on to flawed thinking. Why are you all so afraid???? Is it so scary to confront the fact that your ideologies might have been wrong all along???? Are you not capable of admitting that you were wrong ever and moving on with your life? Grow up already!

          • Eric Bischoff

The point is it’s our money from our taxes. It is us. You can pretend it’s the govt or you can pretend it’s you controlling your healthcare cost.

Do you want to pay the middleman and have him take a huge cut and provide restricted services or do you want to pay the healthcare provider directly though your taxes! cutting out the middle man.

Wouldn’t you be more proud to say we in America have enough wealth and compassion to insure that no one goes hungry, poor, home less or without healthcare. Wouldn’t that be a badge of honor?

Trust me there is more than enough money. It is just going into too few’s pockets. If we spread it around and it is ours to begin with so we should be able to decide how to spread it around then we could easily cover everyone and everything to make a better society. Not Utopia but the basic needs for a society that always claims to be the best in the world but somehow can’t ever deliver.

17% of US households went hungry in 2009. Is that the best country in the world? It’s a joke and not a very good one. I know we could fix this if we got the old greedy ideologies out of the way. We need people with higher visions.

You are all so fired up about the Fed, it’s the same thing. We give our money to the Fed they loan it back to us and they decide at what interest. We are idiots for putting up with this.

It will save us money in the long run. A lot of money.

          • Jana

            Eric,
Like you say, it our money. I know how to spend MY money much better than the Government does. When I spend MY money, I don’t go into debt. I don’t force someone else to pick up the tab for MY bills. Evidently you need someone to TELL you what you need to do with your money. That doesn’t make you sound very intelligent.

        • Dagney

Taking ANY tax dollars from one group to give to another for ANY reason is stealing. Get to basics on all your premises, Eric, and try to see where the evil lies. Yes, everyone, from the richest to the poorest should pay their fair share. However, WHAT is it that they should be paying for?

I agree that it has become a problem instituting insurance. Because, before, when it was a completely free-market system where you went to the doctor, you paid for your treatment. If the treatment was very expensive, you made payment arrangements. People who could not afford the treatments had enumerous resources for charitable help with their communities and their churches. And, there were doctors who specifically went to poorer areas to treat the needy. WE are a VERY charitable people. This alone kept competition, quality of service, and the prices down. Now, with insurance, you never see the costs of the treatments and a third party pays the bills, the costs “magically” increase. The doctors charge more because a bigger pocket is paying the bills. It’s completely human nature. And, I really don’t think the 2% profits the insurance companies make necessarily make them the “evil corporations” you like to portray. And, denial of claims, of course, was another overblown rallying cry of “progressives” and the statistics on that would be very small. People, whose claims were denied have no other recourse? Really?

Single payer is an EVIL “solution” however. Anything government runs becomes corrupt and ineffective. With the possible exception of the military, because of most of the military people, themselves, are people of integrity. Though, lately, the “progressive/marxist” element is invading that sphere, too. In any case, I certainly do not want some bureaucrat telling my doctor that my medical treatments are “too expensive” because he (the bureaucrat) happened to look up my voting records! Do you?

          • Dagney

The military provides a constitutional service to the country. They provide YOU with protection. Arguments can be made about what that is, the point is that it is one of the very FEW constitutional mandates we should be paying for. I believe prior to the 16th amendment, it was paid for, not by tax dollars, but by tariff money.

          • DaveH

            Art,
Our Founders disdained Foreign Entanglements. I agree with that. We should arm ourselves to the teeth but use that power only against those that dare attack us. We need to stop this policy of being the World’s Policemen.
The real joke is that while the military state is “protecting our freedom” we are losing it here.

          • http://donthaveone Beberoni

To Art – If you enjoy living free, and having the right to say stupid things, then you need to freely give tax money to the military, lest the Taliban cut off your head on live TV. Understand pal.

          • Angel

Dabney wrote: “Taking ANY tax dollars from one group to give to another for ANY reason is stealing.” Does that mean that since I am not in the military, the military should not get my tax money?

          • Vicki

Art does have a point. Something for all of us to remember is that our founding fathers did NOT approve of a standing army. The correct use of the military funds would be to arm and train EVERY American Citizen. That is what will keep the Taliban, Socialists etc at bay. A gun behind every blade of grass is not something tyrants want to see.

We DO need some government. It will need some taxes. Our problem for many many years is that we have much MORE government then the Constitutional limitations set by our forefathers.

“A Republic M’am. If you can keep it” – B. Franklin

          • eddie47d

beberoni; Some of military adventures have made us less safe and certainly less respected. That is a slam against those politicians who choose to misuse our military power. They don’t deserve our tax money.

          • Eric Bischoff

The military is waging wars that congress never agreed to and that I and maybe half the country doesn’t want. But still we continue wasting trillions. It’s hypocritical. Your socialism choices are OK but mine aren’t!

          • Jana

            Eric,
Sure, the Military went out and started these wars all by themselves. They got together and threw a dart on the map and said, “This is where we will start our next war.”

          • Vicki

            Eric Bischoff says:
“The military is waging wars that congress never agreed to and that I and maybe half the country doesn’t want.”

Name 3. Or in a pinch try 2.

And keep in mind that Obama is their boss so you can blame him if you like.

          • Vicki

We notice that Eric is staying well away from the simple question about which wars :)

          • eddie47d

Because Vickie you want a foolish answer and he’s not biting. Wars are a serious matter and they never should be started under false pretenses. Such as the Vietnam War (phony Gulf of Tonkin incident) and the Iraq War (WMD). That is waving a false patriotic flag to achieve a goal you would never arrive at under civilized means. Those Congressmen were duped into supporting both of those wars. Shame on Johnson and G. Bush.

        • Commonsense

The problem with your progressive movement is, that, you want to eat healthy, great, but you guys get the urge to bend everyone to your beliefs. Let’s simplify this. Our country is based on freedom. So if a tobacco company wants to sell its products, the federal government shouldn’t have a say in any of its’ business. If someone wants to eat MickieDs gutbombs until they have a heart attack let them. Gun control laws don’t work, period. they are like locks, they only keep the honest man out. The progressive movement wants to tell people whats good and bad for them. Thats your goal. You talk about some greedy middle man getting big chunks of tax dollars in the name of insurance. If there was true free industry, he wouldn’t be there because people would have a choice other than give to him. But the way it is now, anyone who tries to start up to compete with the set few big companies, be it insurance, automobiles, ect. gets crushed because the big outfits have lawmakers in their pockets. Doctors are like pro ball players anymore, if they are not attached to a hospital and work for that same said, they cannot practice. Big insurance, big hospital, and big gov won’t let them. So, to clarify, If gov sticks to their constitutional boundaries and stays out of our lives, free market blooms, you make it or break it on your own, you take responsiblity for your own actions or inactions, let the local communities help their unemployed masses if they wish. No more nanny gov. You take care of you, and I’ll take care of me. Stick to your own knitting and leave mine be.

            Amen!

          • Teresa

            Absolutely!

          • Vicki

            Common sense writes (About Eric)
“you want to eat healthy, great, but you guys get the urge to bend everyone to your beliefs.”

Which of course is ok till they try to use force (of government). If you notice, Eric has plausible deniability. He rarely (if ever) actually SAYS “there ought to be a law”. He simply puts down stuff he doesn’t like and hints that things should not exist. He praises things he likes. The average reader will get the (accurate) impression that he wants people to do it his way by force but he will never say it. Others will hop up and say “there out to be a law.”

Eric gets to claim that he just wants what is best for people and he doesn’t plan on “forcing” anyone. Look up NLP on google sometime.

          • Eric Bischoff

Sorry that’s a simple minded idea that just doesn’t fly in today’s society. Your smoking affects others and increases all of our costs just in fire protection alone. You people aren’t thinking this though far enough. Everything is connected.

        • eddie47d

Beberoni; I am assuming that the good health care you receive is courtesy of the U.S. Government(Medicare). So wouldn’t a national plan for all give the same service since the majority would have to pay into it?

          • Vicki

Why would they HAVE to pay into it?

          • eddie47d

If you want Medicare you have to pay into it. If not you take advantage of the taxpayer and go for Medicaid. That is what is going to happen to the new Health Care plan where those who refuse to pay into it will run to Medicaid. The taxpayer will be paying either way.

      • http://personalliberty Karen

        Dave,
I agree I don’t have healthcare insurance either and the reason is simple. They won’t allow me to control the type of care I receive. AND unlike most believe it isn’t the insurance companies, but the AMA and the FDA who make the rules. I do many holistic alternative therapies and doctor’s aren’t allowed to prescribe them. I should know I am an RN.

        • Eric Bischoff

          That’s right.

I have health insurance but they don’t cover my alternative inexpensive healthcare choices. So I choose to pay out of my own pocket. Silly isn’t it.

My coworkers who are a lot sicker than me are always running to the doctor to get antibiotics and MRIs at every little crisis and they get coverage no questions asked. I venture to say that they are spending 10 times what I am spending.

Medicare for all would be a good first step. A good second step would be to promote preventive healthcare and teach nutrition at an early age and especially to doctors. You are what you eat, drink, think, focus on.

          • Kate8

You are all still missing the fact that the intent is not to keep us healthy, it’s to hasten our deaths.

It is all about DEPOPULATION, folks. Simple as that.

Besides having admitted this straight out, what other reason could you give for tampering with and poisoning our food and water, subjecting us to toxic medical treatments, spraying our skies, and keeping us under constant excessive stress?

Alternative treatments not only are not included in Obamacare, our access to them is being removed.

Geez, the truth stare us in the face and we can’t see it. If it were a snake it would bite us! And guess what? IT IS A SNAKE.

          • Jana

            Kate8,
We can add going through scanners at airports that will introduce more radiation into our bodies.

          • eddie47d

First of all Kate you need to recognize who is screwing us. It’s not always government. It’s big business(corporations) and Big Agra that is messing with our food and water. Big Pharma and Big Healthcare is messing with our bodies with drugs we don’t need. Big Agra is the one spraying our food with chemicals. Go after them, boycott them or write to the companies.

    • DaveH

Eric says “We the progressives want everyone paying into the social security system. Why should some making 50 million only pay social security on the first $100K. Let’s get real hat alone would make the system sound forever. Why should the most well to do pay the least proportionally. Why should the rich get an additional 13% tax break this way.”
Am I missing something? They should pay more than on their first $100K. Yet those same progressives want to stiff those same people from getting Social Security at all? How convenient. The Progressive way – Steal money from others.

      • Eric Bischoff

Stop putting words into my mouth Dave. Pay attention, your anger and closed mindedness is keeping you from comprehension of what you are reading. I never said such a thing. I don’t care if the well to do millionaires and billionaire want to collect their social security if they paid into it. If their greed is so great then so be it. All I know is that If I was in that situation I would certainly let it ride or donate it.

        • http://donthaveone Beberoni

If they paid into it, why shouldnt they be able to collect out of it Eric? Its only right. What is wrong, is when illegal aliens show up over here, that never paid into it, start getting money out of it, via our government, to help them continue to break the law in being here illegally. What the heck is going on? How does our government allow this? How do they allow fit young men to live year after year on welfare and food stamps? Why do they reward the young lady with 4 kids and no job, more money and food stamps when she pops out kids 5 and 6 ?. This has got to stop. Why does our government reward bad behavior like this? It starts at the top end. They take those they call rich, who already pay 85 percent of the taxes in this country, and they want to punish them for being successful, so they tax the living hell out of them. Then the reward the failures, you now, this mother with 6 kids, by giving and giving to her, you know, as a reward for her bad behavior. Thats what is wrong.

          • Vigilant

Note that EB said, “I would rather have exceptions who want out than 45 millions that are left out.”

Guess who 10-15M of that 45M are? That’s right, illegal aliens.

          • Vicki

            Note also the plausable deniablity.
“Eric says “We the progressives want everyone paying into the social security system. Why should some making 50 million only pay social security on the first $100K. Let’s get real hat alone would make the system sound forever. Why should the most well to do pay the least proportionally. Why should the rich get an additional 13% tax break this way.””

He never actually says everyone should be forced into paying though you get the clear impression that is his intent. The rest of his words, using envy, are intended to make you feel that you should want it too.

So Eric. How does it feel to want.

          • Eric Bischoff

You know whenever you play the illegal alien card that is when you show your true colors. You are just like the Germans in the 30′s who let themselves be convinced that their problems were all related to minorities. It was the blacks then the disabled then the jews.

The reality is a lot more complicated than your simple minded and ugly comment.

NAFTA destroys the farming economy of central and south america and our foreign policy of support of their dictators creates a bigger migration of aliens to move north looking for work. American businesses are more than willing to hire them at lower wages and no benefits. They pay taxes but often don’t get the benefits. They can’t complain. We would suffer a lot more if we got rid of them. Our entire agriculture, hotels, restaurants, meat packing, lansdcaping industries depend on this cheap labor you so love to denigrate and blame.

          • Kate8

Eric – “You know when you play the illegal alien card…”

Nice try, Eric, but it’s not the same thing.

Nothing is being directed toward a racial group or any other. It is not about that at all. It is about the LAW, about our country’s sovereignty, about our citizens being trampled by people who broke into our country illegally, get special treatment not afforded to citizens (with OUR money), bankrupt our cities, schools and hospitals, take our jobs and lower our standard of living.

These people do not respect our laws. They do not belong here, and we should not have to defer to them.

          • eddie47d

Kate; Everything Eric said about immigration is true. Not only that as I pointed out 3 days ago they(ICE) are arresting legal Americans. They have to get lawyers and post bond to prove citizenship. That is not cheap.

        • DaveH

I repeated your words exactly, Eric. If indeed you expect them to get back what they put in, how in the world do you think increasing their payment will make the system solvent? Did I make the mistake of thinking that you were somewhat economically literate?

      • Commonsense

Dave, you are talking without thinking. There shouldn’t be a social security system at all. If you invested even half of what the government takes out of you check for SOCIAL security from the ages of 18 to 35 in low to medium risk investments, CDs, stocks, whatever, with a true open or free market system, you could have a comfortable nest egg upon retirement. See, the Roosevelt years already have so many brainwashed into thinking that government needs to babysit us. Open your eyes people. Our government, created by individualists, to be a land for individual growth, not a land of the one guy with the job feeds the other two guys because they are dead asses. My job is not to go and babysit my neighbor because he is a deadbeat. My goal in life is to take care of my home, my family, and my way of life. Even in schools, they are trying to eliminate the parents from the kids’ lives. Thats why, 6 years ago, I started a home based business, so I can help my children to make good decisions in life. The school doesn’t like it, because I tend to scrutinize. Two years ago my oldest came home and told me his science teacher made them watch “An Inconvenient Truth”. I was so pissed I drove down and confronted the teacher. He said it was just to show the kids what man has done to his environment. I told him to bring all the proof that upheld that crock- o-crap film to the principals office the next day at noon so we could sort out the truth of it from the propaganda. He showed up the next day with three .com references off the internet. Two of the three placed the movie under basic science fiction and the third, a British reference placed it under “Political Propaganda”. I told the teacher that the next time he tried shoving his politically “progressive” crap down the minds of children, that he and I would have a “come to Jesus” meeting in his front lawn. Progressive=sneaky. Beware America, SOMETHING EVIL THIS WAY COMES. Its called progressive. And like so many others, they chant the “But in a true socialist environment it is perfect. Thats true until you throw in human condition-greed, stupidity, gullibility, and godlessness. Then you just have a flipping wreck. It didn’t work for Russia, China, or Cuba. So what exactly makes you think it will work here?

        • Eric Bischoff

So please explain to me what just happened in the last few years to people’s 401Ks. Explain to us all how your system is going to guarantee a safe retirement. Do you really think that most people are capable of managing this.

Do I want to trust Wall St with my social security which might turn out to be the last safety link before totally desperation and starvation?

There was a time when we had a one worker per household and that person got a good retirement. But then we got the Reagan revolution and we destroyed labor and pensions. So they gave us IRAs and then 401Ks and these were going to be even better but guess what they weren’t better were they. They got wiped out. Too bad, work longer and retire on less.

And now they (Wall St) are salivating to get their hands on all that Social Security money. You know why don’t you? You don’t have anything else that they want. You are tapped out. You don’t have any equity left.

How do you like your American dream now?

      • Eric Bischoff

As usual you are missing something so I will repeat it.

They only pay like we do on the first $100K. Rush Limbaugh for example does not pay any Social Security taxes on the next 399 Million that he makes. Therefore he is getting a special 13% tax break on that $399 Million. I suppose you think that’s fair. I suppose you want to preserve that because either you are in that tax bracket or you hope to be soon.

Do you think Limbaugh really would even notice if he had to pay his 13% portion like everyone else.

Do you know that if everyone paid their 13% Social security, it would be solvent forever and we could even double the payout.

Do you know any old people living on social security? Isn’t that poverty?

I guess you think they are all losers and deserve this!

    • DaveH

Eric says “We the progressives want to change the tax system to one that is more fair and progressive and one that insures that all pay their fair share.”
One that is “more fair” and “progressive” (higher taxes for people that work harder and make more money). Yeah, that will teach them for making an effort. The “Progressives” (Liberals) would rather take their money and distribute it to the people that don’t want to work. Fair? No, Eric, THEFT.

      • Eric Bischoff

Do you actually believe that the hardest working people are the ones making the most money?

Again Dave I never said higher, I said proportional. Why should the rich pay taxes at a lower rate than the middle class? The middle class earns a paycheck and pays a certain rate while the wealthy class has loopholes, many more wrtite offs, offshore tax havens, are incorporated and more often than not are not paying income tax but are paying capital gains taxes which are much lower.

        Who is getting special favors?

        • Vigilant

          “Who is getting special favors?”

I’d say it’s the 40+% of people who pay no income tax at all.

Probably the ones who voted in the “progressives” (communists) this last election.

          • Jana

            Vigilant,

            AMEN!!!

        • JC

I believe it’s none of your damned business Eric.
But that’s probably lost on a Socialist like yourself.

          • Jana

            JC,
He is NOT a Socialist. He is espousing COMMUNISM. Ergo, he is a Communist. He just doesn’t want to use the word.

        • Tom from Idaho

Then I’ve got two words for you, Eric: flat tax. Eliminate the IRS. That way even those who now do not pay ANY taxes, will also have to pay their fair share. Fact of the matter is, the top 5% of the wage-earning public pays 50% of the taxes in this country, the bottom 50% of wage earners in this country pay 3-4% of the taxes. That’s fairness??

          • Wlmitch1

Although what you say is true and the progressive income tax IS grossly unfair, it has unfortunately become little more than a talking point. I have a (fairly) new argument IN FAVOR of a Flat Tax, say 13% of taxpayers’ taxable incomes as an example. The standard deduction would be $10,400 for the wage-earner and his/her spouse, and $2,600 for each dependent. My argument is DO THE MATH! A family of four earning $36,000 a year would have a taxable income of $10,000 ($36,000 – $10,400 – $10,400 – $2,600 – $2,600 = $10,000). Their tax bill would be $1,300. A family of four earning $10,026,000 a year would have a taxable income of $10,000,000 ($10,026,000 – $10,400 – $10,400 – $2,600 – $2,600 = $10,000,000). Their tax bill would be $1,300,000. In BOTH cases, the tax bill is 13% of taxable income, $10,000 X 0.13 and $10,000,000 X 0.13 respectively. In this scenerio, the wage-earner whose taxable income is $10,000,000 would still be paying 1,000 times as much as the wage-earner whose taxable income is $10,000! Bottom Line: everyone pays the same 13% of his/her taxable income. The 13% figure is derived from the number of weeks in a year divided by four (52% / 4 = 13%). And to keep it simple, no tax loopholes, no death tax, and no marriage penalty. Businesses operate on a profit and loss basis, and do not have dependents. Only their NET profit (gross profit minus the daily expenses required to run a business) should be taxed at 13% with NO tax loopholes and NO taxes on the value of the machinery and supplies required to run the business.

When the Marxists/Socialists/Progressives say that the “RICH” do not pay their fair share, they are technically correct. MORE THAN DOUBLE their fair share is NOT their fair share! The Marxist/Socialist/Progressive solution is to tax the “RICH” even more, which is the EXACT OPPOSITE of what SHOULD be done, and makes the tax code EVEN MORE unfair!

          • Eric Bischoff

No that’s just plain and simple math.

        • DaveH

For those who don’t want to remain as Ignorant as Eric, please see these tables to see who really does and doesn’t pay their fair share:
          http://www.ntu.org/tax-basics/who-pays-income-taxes.html

          • Warrior

I just received my latest property tax bill in crook county. 14% increase. Sweet! It was very generous of the yocal wonks to withhold the increase until after the election. Two months late! Funny thing though, there was no increase in property value. Hmm?

        • http://donthaveone Beberoni

They dont pay less Eric, and I dont know where you get that they do. They pay over 80 percent of the taxes in this country now. If we had it the way of idiots like you, they would all leave and go to other countries, then you and I would be left paying all of it pal. Of course, since your probably drawing unemployment and welfare and food stamps and who knows what else, I guess that would leave me. Because obviously, you must not pay taxes, or you wouldnt think this way. And if you do pay taxes, and think this way, then someone needs to get under your hood and check things out, because something isnt wired quite right.

          • Jana

            BB,
He isn’t wired right. He is not a Socialist,he passed that a long time ago, he is a full blown Communist who wants to change this country into a Communist country.
The “Progressives” are trying to change the names of what they are called, but just like a rose is still a rose, a bad stink is still a bad stink. Communisism stinks!

    • DaveH

Eric says “We the progressives want the corporate charters which are granted by we the people to have more teeth and more responsible behavior.”
Sure, it isn’t good enough for the Progressives that the owners invest and risk their money, in the process providing jobs and quality goods for the consumers. They (Liberals) also want the companies to exhibit “more responsible behavior”. What does that mean, Eric? You want them to spend other peoples’ money like you Progressives (Liberals) do?

      • Eric Bischoff

That’s right you want to incorporate you ask permission and get granted a charter that comes with rules of engagement and some responsibility to the community, the environment, the country your workers. And for that I believe you get special tax breaks. Are we an advanced society or not? If we are then let’s start acting like one.

        • Vigilant

“We demand that ruthless war be waged against those who work to the injury of the common welfare. Traitors, usurers, profiteers, etc., are to be punished with death, regardless of creed or race.”

          NAZI Party Platform, 1925

        • Dagney

A progessive’s idea of an “advanced society” is one where a bureaucrat decides what is “best for society”. You know, “food justice”, “educational justice”, and “environmental justice”. All code words for Marxist/Stalinism/Mao-ism. It’s actually RE-gressive and has been done before to the DEATH of millions. Your thought-processes are EVIL, Eric. So, stop trying to sell it here.

        • Vicki

You aren’t giving me, the corporation, special tax breaks. You are giving them to my customers. Any tax charged to me gets passed right on to my customers.

      • eddie47d

Eric; Dave ducks and covers on the corporate greed question and there responsibility to the community or country. It completely goes over his head and in his world anything goes.

        • Vicki

The corporate responsibiltiy to the community is to provide jobs at a rate that the worker and corporation agree to and to create products that the market wants so that the corporation can make money to pay those workers.

If they fail in either task they wither and die. No government intervention needed.

          • eddie47d

Dave still avoids the questions given to him.

    • DaveH

And how do the Progressives accomplish all these wonderful things? By Force. They can’t stand voluntary choices and voluntary contracts, because they Know what is best for the rest of us.
      Achtung! You will obey.

      • http://none Mike

Ok Dave thats going after an ant with a sledgehammer lol. I try to give him the benifit of a doubt sometimes. Hopeing he deserves it since I dont know him personally. But from the statements you must have put up with it for a while. Mike L.

      • Eric Bischoff

You play football Dave or any other sport? Do they have rules in your game? Are there people whose job it is to set the rules and some to enforce them? Or do you think we should get rid of govt, rules, police all together?

I have mentioned to you before and I strongly believe this. I am not saying that you are a fascist, I am merely suggesting that what you seem to advocate in getting government completely out of the way of businesses I see as another failed experiment that turned into fascism. Why should we ever go back to that.

        • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Dave is right Eric. The government needs to get out of the way of business. It is do to government regulations, that big business have lobbyist, that get into the pockets of politicians, to legislate and pass laws a certain way to benefit them. It shouldnt be that way. Government should let the free market system work, and get the hell out of the way. If someone has a product we want, we buy it. If they dont, we dont buy it and they go out of business. Pretty simple thing here Eric. I dont know why you cant understand what Dave is trying to teach you here. But when the government interferes, such as this fiasco giving GM and Chrysler billions of dollars, they are picking their favorite guys to support and that is highly unethical, and it should be illegal, and it screws up the free market system. It punishes successful business that actually know who to run their companies, and you can bet that because of these other companies success’s, they are taxed a whole lot more for their success, instead of the government getting out of the way. You seem to want government to run and control everything. Me, Im a big boy. I dont need them to tell me where to shop and where not to shop. I dont need them to take care of my health care. I dont need them to give me welfare and food stamps. I dont need them to tell me who to give my money too. No sir. Im a big boy, and I can fend for myself. They need to get out of my life, and just make sure our military and intelligence communities are strong so that we can stay safe as a nation. They need to manage operable police forces, and local and state governments, to administer things and keep things flowing smoothly and legally, not to interfere and take money from one group and give to another. That is totally wrong. And if you cant see that, then no one can help you.

          • Angel Wannabe

Dave and beberoni, I agree_The Progressives have a choke hold on the throats of business. A choke hold that’s driven a lot of business off the shore. I don’t see Washington doing ANYTHING to try and get them to want to take a chance on America again. Governments job is to create and environment for business and people to flourish. But the control they’re inflicted is choking the life blood out of the private sector. Its exactly what they want to do. They Government all seeing all knowing swami. The only ones who study the mistakes of fallen countries is us__ History lessons have no merit in Washington!__

          • Jana

            Eric,
We all have rules to follow that are already in place. It is the corruption of the Progressives / Communists that want to bend those rules to fit their agenda like Obama does now.

          • Eric Bischoff

You people are in complete denial. It’s your system. You’ve corrupted it. You call it a free market and capitalism and democracy and yet we have none of these things. You are all liars and hypocrites. I never voted for any Republicans or Democrats. I never signed on for this healthcare. I never wanted to go to war. I never wanted bailouts or tax breaks for the rich. I think Reagan’s theory is nothing more than a big lie, all it is is pissing on the poor while laughing to the bank. It’s despicable. I hate the Fed and our unfair taxing system. What is it that you want to blame me for? What about the choices you made?

          • http://donthaveone Beberoni

I wonder how many so called poor guys, living on unemployment, welfare and food stamps have give Eric Bishoff and fast eddie47 jobs before? How many? Gee, I wonder why that is? Maybe if we quit taking all this money the government takes in, and handing it out to lazy bums that dont want to work, then we wouldnt need to be taxing the daylights out of people to afford all these handouts. Just a thought. But then again, that would be using common sense, and making people be responsible for their actions now wouldnt it, and we cant have that.

        • Vigilant

Mike, do you still give him the benefit of doubt?

Then EB prevaricates again: “I am merely suggesting that what you seem to advocate in getting government completely out of the way of businesses I see as another failed experiment that turned into fascism. Why should we ever go back to that.”

That’s precisely what EB advocates: in his “mind” he would replace fascism with…….another form of fascism.

          • Eric Bischoff

and why because you said so!

          • Vigilant

            My, what a witty rejoinder.

Don’t quit your day job. Too many comedians out of work.

        • DaveH

So Eric says “I am not saying that you are a fascist”. That’s funny because just yesterday on this webpage,
          http://www.personalliberty.com/conservative-politics/civil-liberty/the-tea-party-may-save-us-yet/
Eric said this to me “No you are right we should espouse the fascist crao you have been pushing”

Are there two Eric Bischoffs? Or is it just typical Liberal behavior?

          • Jana

DaveH, It is typical Communist behavior, because that is what he is pushing here.

          • Eric Bischoff

That’s right read the subtleties in the words Dave. You may not be a Fascist but the ideas you espouse could easily turn into Fascism. So be careful what you wish for!

          • Vicki

            Eric Bischoff writes:
“That’s right read the subtleties in the words Dave. You may not be a Fascist but the ideas you espouse could easily turn into Fascism. So be careful what you wish for!”

So do tell us Eric how are YOUR ideas protected from easily turning into Fascism?

Fascism: a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition

Seems like having government force your altruistic beliefs is MUCH more at risk to falling into Fascism than DaveH beliefs that individuals set their own destiny and governments are instituted amongst men to protect them from (Facists).

          • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Eric is just a forked tongued liberal loser Dave. He says what he says and thinks we should all have to agree with it and not question it, while at the same time, were not allowed to have our thoughts or our opinions. Typical liberal fashion. You could film him doing something, and he would look right at it, and say “thats not me”. Thats the kind of cats on the left that you are dealing with here. They will never admit to being wrong or to their short comings. They purport that they know better than anyone, and no one else is allowed to have thoughts contrary to theirs. Liberal democrat playbook 101. Erik does exactly what they have taught him in their little brainwashing schools on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and MSNBC. He doesnt realize yet that their propaganda they spew is like the so called professional wrestling, that its all fixed and all for show. Liberalism 101. Eric subscribes fully to it. That is why is so full of doom and gloom, he has no hope.

        • Commonsense

Limit the government, and let your local community make its rules according to its needs. The fed make a one size fits all law or rule. thats just insane. As I said before, stick to your own knitting. As far a making laws to restrict employers. Thats easy to fix, IF YOU DON’T LIKE YOUR JOB OR THE WAY YOU’RE BEING TREATED, FIND A NEW ONE!

        • Vicki

          Eric Bischoff writes:
“Or do you think we should get rid of govt, rules, police all together?”

If you had read DaveH posts for a while you would notice that DaveH is ok with SOME government. The amount of government laid out in the CONSTITUTION of the United States and its proper limit on GOVERNMENT.

Eric Bischoff:”I have mentioned to you before and I strongly believe this. I am not saying that you are a fascist, I am merely suggesting that what you seem to advocate in getting government completely out of the way of businesses I see as another failed experiment that turned into fascism. Why should we ever go back to that.”

You can’t turn businesses into fascism. You CAN turn governments to Fascism.

          http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/fascism

          • Eric Bischoff

I got news for you. When Corporations and big money control govt and we are almost there now thanks to the last Supreme Court ruling of Citizens United, what you are left with is fascism.

          • Vicki

You have failed to show how corporations and big money control government. They (soros, koch?) may control some media but their only control of government is thru approved channels of lobbying. As in going to talk to our representatives.

Now if you would like to offer evidence that they are paying money in a non plausibility deniable way to get their legislation passed then perhaps we have something to discuss.

What you should REALLY worry about if you are so concerned about the “power” of corporations and big money is why do the voters keep voting in corrupt representatives like Nancy “We Have to Pass the Bill So That You Can Find Out What Is In It” Pelosi instead of honorable people who will abide by their oath and support and defend the Constitution and its limits on government power.

If they are so easy to buy why do voters keep voting them in? Maybe cause the actual big money corporations are the ones running MSM? Whatcha think?

if you want to tax the rich even more then you take away the investment dollar,, the rich already pay most the taxes while the poor benefit from intitlement programs your view if implemented would even cause more inflation and loss of job’s you need to do some research

      • Eric Bischoff

Except for one thing that is irrefutable.

Historical statistics prove that all of the periods in history when we taxed the rich the most were the healthiest and most productive by far. The periods when we lowered the taxes on the rich are the buble periods when we crashed and burned.

What we deduce from that is that when the wealthy pay higher taxes they don’t gamble irrationally and they don’t wreck the economy in the process. Look it up!

        • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Listen bonehead, quit prostituting the facts to read as you want them to read. The government has always taxed the rich more. Always. They are in a higher tax bracket. Its always been that way. A guy that makes 50 grand will pay more than a guy that makes 20 grand. A guy that makes 2 million will pay more than a guy that makes 200 thousand. Thats how it is Eric. Those with, always pay more. Always. Those without dont pay, some not at all. Get real man, these facts are there for all to see, if you care to look at them.

          • Eric Bischoff

You are a dreamer. now actually you don’t know what you are talking about.

          • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Really Eric? Really? Gee, seems I got the facts right here in front of me to prove it you jerk. I do my daughters taxes. She made 18 thousand part time. She paid a lot less tax than I did on my 51 grand. I have my neighbor, who is an Engineer on the railroad, knocks down 150 Grand a year. He paid a lot more than I did. I got the business I work for. We did 14 million in business last year. They paid a whole lot, and I mean a whole lot more, than my engineer neighbor, both in total, and in percentage. And him more than me, both in total and in percentage. And me more than my daughter, both in total and in percentage. So Im looking at the facts here Eric. Stone cold truth and facts. Just what are you dealing in, liberal rhetoric? Tell a lie and expect everyone to believe it? Let see your prove Eric. You telling me your paying a higher percentage and total in tax than Bill Gates, or your hero George Soros? I dont think so Eric. No person making more, will pay less taxes. It just doesnt happen Eric. So in retrospect, I have to say this, you sir, are a Liar. A big fat liberal liar. And shame on you for thinking we all are as stupid and naive as you are. I have stated the truth here, everybit of it, and you tell lies to support your agenda. Your a liar Eric and thats all there is to it. And I dont have to tell you who the father of lies is either, do I? No Eric, its not Clinton. Its Satan.

        • Vigilant

“Historical statistics prove that all of the periods in history when we taxed the rich the most were the healthiest and most productive by far. The periods when we lowered the taxes on the rich are the buble periods when we crashed and burned.”

What a distortion of the truth!

I suppose you’ve never heard of the economics fallacy, “post hoc, ergo propter hoc?” (after this, therefore because of this). You are putting the cart before the horse, EB, and Goebbals would be proud of you.

Keynesian theory has always dictated higher taxes during flush times and lower taxes during recessions. to smooth out the peaks and valleys of the business cycle. The tax receipts to the US Treasury have ALWAYS increased when tax rates were decreased, and times of prosperity have increased receipts BECAUSE business revenues increase.

To imply that high taxation creates prosperity, rather than vice-versa flies in the face of reality and unrevised history.

Don’t try to tell us your cockeyed “truth” is irrefutable.

          • Vicki

Besides he (eric) offered no proof of his claim despite his claim in another thread to have lots of bookmarks. Perhaps he would be willing to share just 1 that supported his claim.

Here is one that refutes it.
“President Clinton’s Council of Economic Advisers in 1994: “It is undeniable that the sharp reduction in taxes in the early 1980s was a strong impetus to economic growth.” ”

That is from a Democrats council. (Must have been spiked with conservatives :) )

And here is the actual cite. (Something that eric and a lot of liberals seem to think unnecessary )
            http://www.house.gov/jec/fiscal/tx-grwth/reagtxct/reagtxct.htm

          • Eric Bischoff

I guess it all depends on whose propaganda you are reading hey! But hey I am sure you are right and I am wrong!

But then how do you explain this last bubble? They got tax cuts and still we got the shaft.

So then how do you explain the fact that gap between the rich and the poor in this country has gotten much wider? Or that that the middle class income has been flat for at least 30 years even though our productivity has gone way up?

Do you think it’s at all possible that because someone is taking a huge piece of the pie before it even reaches the table that maybe that is why there isn’t enough left to give you just enough to even keep up with inflation?

Or can you pull statistics out of your arse for that too? Maybe from the same place you get the there’s no global warming!

          • Vicki

            Eric Bischoff says:
“But then how do you explain this last bubble? They got tax cuts and still we got the shaft.”

Which bubble would that be? The housing bubble caused by democrats?

Eric Bischoff: “So then how do you explain the fact that gap between the rich and the poor in this country has gotten much wider? Or that that the middle class income has been flat for at least 30 years even though our productivity has gone way up?”

I don’t explain facts not in evidence.
I explicitly refute your fact about “middle class income” with cite
            http://www.house.gov/jec/middle/crunch3/crunch3.htm

Eric Bischoff:” Do you think it’s at all possible that because someone is taking a huge piece of the pie before it even reaches the table that maybe that is why there isn’t enough left to give you just enough to even keep up with inflation?”

Oh yes indeed. Its called FICA, Withholding, Self employment tax, …. and it all goes to ……. GOVERNMENT. The 800 lb gorilla in the room :)

            Idiotic sexual reference deleted

Eric Bischoff:”Maybe from the same place you get the there’s no global warming!”

ClimateGate. For those paying attention I never claimed there was no global warming or cooling or even climate change (We get it twice a year here in Northern Calif. Spring and Winter ;) )

I have pointed out the hubris of man to think he can have a noticeable effect without doing something really drastic.

        • eddie47d

You are somewhat right Eric; During the 50′s the wealthy were taxed at a much higher rate and the U.S. grew and prospered. During the 2000′s with the tax cuts for the wealthy the economy tanked. They are just messing with your mind.

          • DaveH

What mind, Eddie? You really need to study Thomas Sowell’s book “The Housing Boom and Bust” and learn something. Or are you racist?
It was Big Government that fomented the bust.

          • DaveH

I really get the feeling sometimes that you Liberals are scared to death to learn something that might upset your apple-cart. You seem to prefer being mired in your misinformation.
John Stossel was a Liberal when he was young. He was man enough to open his mind and learn the error of their ways. Man up, Eddie.
I parted ways with Liberals 40 years ago when I observed their Hypocrisy. At that time they were constantly whining that the “establishment” wouldn’t let them say their piece. And then when somebody such as a Military guy would come to speak at the college they would heckle him and shout him down. I guess Free Speech only applied to their opinions.

          • eddie47d

dave; you are a few apples short of a pie so maybe you need to “man up”. I stopped reading Sowell decades ago so take your racial implications and shove it, you ignorant troll.

          • Vicki

Eddie47d needs to remember that in the 50s the tax RATE was higher for the rich but the actual tax revenues were lower cause the rich had a lot of tax loopholes to play with. No rich person in their right mind would accept paying 90+ percent of their (disposable) income to government.
            http://www.truthandpolitics.org/top-rates.php

          • eddie47d

Vickie; I’ll let stand what I said and why didn’t the tax cuts stimulate more jobs? Remember that phrase is Always touted as being the boon for job creation. There are always excuses mired in that philosophy.

          • Vicki

You are welcome to stand by what you said. Proof by bald assertion.

          • http://donthaveone Beberoni

I think they should tax us all equally, including the 40 percent who get away with paying no taxes, while living free off the rest of us. Tax the government workers, the congressman, the senators and governors. Stop the lavish retirement plans. Stop letting George Soros that owns the democrats, and other rich foreigners from having to pay taxes because they own the democratic party. You guys keep trying to perpetuate the lie that republicans are rich and the democrats are poor, and it couldnt be further from the truth. The democrats are filthy rich, and have been for years. They are owned by George Soros and other filthy rich individuals and organizations that have made them compromise their position in representing these United States of America. You want some real dirt, and people not paying taxes, lets first examine the left wing liberal democrats. It is rampant with them. Rampant.

    • jd

Why is it that progressives want the government to take care of everthing? They do not read or understand the Constitution.
Why is it that they want everyone else to take care of them. I like other conservatives believe in a limited government. I believe that most of the problems with the medical system is because anyone can sue over everything. If we would do away with the lying lawyers all prices would be reduced. It is amazing how much liability insurance a compay must carry to help in case of a lawsuit if filed. Who pays for that insurance?
      Tort reform is the answer.

Let’s not confuse basic services with everything and then we won’t need to get into stupid pointless arguments

        • Jana

          Eric,
The only reason its a POINTLESS argument is because you are wrong. Your ideas are wrong for our country. We don’t want to end up like Russia, which is where your ideas would take us.

          • Eric Bischoff

You are ending up like Russia but you are too stupid to realize it.

          • Jana

            Eric,
Not so studpid that I can’t see through you Mr Communist.

        • Vicki

          Eric Bischoff writes:
“Let’s not confuse basic services with everything and then we won’t need to get into stupid pointless arguments”

Eric should list his opinion of basic services so that the rest of us can compare our list (The Constitution) with his.

        • Vicki

Still waiting on that list Eric. I saw pieces in another post and hopefully will respond soon but it would be nice to have them in one place as we have provide one place ( well 2 actually ) for you.

          US Constitution.
          http://www.lp.org

It seems any argument with you ends up being a pointless stupid argument. Anyone else notice that?

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Because it seems that a lot of liberals, like Eric here, seem to need the government to look after them and take care of them, and take money from successful people who took the time to educate themselves, and worked hard to be this success, and give their money to those who dont want to work for it. They mess their pants, and they expect the government to come run and clean it up for them. Then they wonder why they never get anywhere, why nobody likes them, and why their life is so dismal. Hello.

        • Eric Bischoff

You people have nothing to contribute. Your arguments are weak. You have no good ideas. All you do is complain. You can’t even read or comprehend what you read and all you do is attack without any substance to back up your comments. Most of you are never willing to put forth any constructive ideas. But you are quick to judge. You are exactly why there is no compromise in government they are just a reflection of you.

          • JC

Here’s a constructive idea. Let’s put every Congressman, Senator or President still alive that ever drafted or voted for an un Constitutional law…in jail.
Then we can get on with the business of being an innovative and constructive people who call our home the land of the free and the home of the brave…and mean it.

          • Vigilant

EB spews, “You are exactly why there is no compromise in government they are just a reflection of you.”

As I posted elsewhere, when a woman is being raped, you suggest she compromise and tell the perpetrator it’s OK, just go a little slower?

Our nation is being raped by the socialists (“progressives,” as you choose to call these skunks and weasels), and you expect us to agree to it? Some things in life are uncompromisable, and if gridlock prevents a further erosion of our sacred principles, then so be it.

The Republicans, if they’ve got a hair on their backsides, will not only say “no,” they will loudly proclaim, “HELL NO!”

          • DaveH

Oops, there he goes again. More personal attacks in lieu of facts. Eric, I love you. I have spent years of my life trying to expose the real Liberal ethic to people who have had the wool pooled over their eyes by sneaky Liberals who pretend to be so charitable and considerate of their fellow human beings. And then you guys come along on this blog and expose your true selves. Thank you for saving me all that effort. Please keep posting.

          • Jana

            Eric,
What you are saying here is a good old reliable for you Liberal/Communist tactic. Thanks for proving all of us right.

          • Vicki

            Thus spake Eric Bischoff:
“You people have nothing to contribute. Your arguments are weak. You have no good ideas. All you do is complain. You can’t even read or comprehend what you read and all you do is attack without any substance to back up your comments. Most of you are never willing to put forth any constructive ideas. But you are quick to judge. You are exactly why there is no compromise in government they are just a reflection of you.”

            Nice. Projecting much today Eric?

          • http://donthaveone Beberoni

No good ideas. Pointless. Like you think its pointless that I stated that its wrong to punish those who work hard to make something of themselves, tax the hell out of them, then give their money to some guy whose ideal in life, is to sit on a porch everyday, drinking 40′s in a brown bag, and smoking joints and cigarettes all day. Why is this pointless and a bad idea to you. We need to address as to why we are having to pay higher and higher taxes, to support more and more people who dont want to work and support themselves. And you say that is pointless? I think its an idea that all politicians need to look at. Why arent these people working. And most of them will tell them, “why work when you give it to me for free”. And thats a fact Eric. I know, because I know people who have told me exactly that, because I wasnt afraid to ask them why they arent working. Unlike you, I see that as a problem. And I see the solution, is to stop giving it to them, and they will go to work. Its pretty simple. But when people like you say this is pointless and not a good idea, it just goes to show the stupidity of the left wing liberal agenda, that you support this kind of behavior and think it is a bad idea to stop it. Amazing Eric. Simply amazing. How one can live with lies like this is beyond me.

      • eddie47d

There are always too many lawsuits jd but the payout is less than one percent of health care costs. The problem is much bigger than that.

        • Vigilant

“The accounting firm Pricewaterhouse Coopers says about 10 percent of the cost of medical service is attributable to medical malpractice lawsuits. Roughly 2 percent is caused by direct costs of the lawsuits; an additional 5 percent to 9 percent is due to expenses run up by defensive medicine.

“The latest Federal Election Commission data (released 7/13/09) reports that President Obama received the most cash of any candidate from lawyers or law firms — more than $43 million…So which is it — fairness or campaign dollars? It’s difficult to present any logical reason Obama would not include tort reform in his health care planning, yet it is quite easy to fathom $43,071,129 financial reasons.” (Pajamasmedia)

THAT, eddie, is VERY substantial. What is your source of info? MSNBC?

          • eddie47d

Tort Reform won’t stop defensive medicine so your extra %’s is more hype than fact.

          • Vigilant

We always respected you as a Constitutional scholar, now you’re a medical expert as well!

Your answer is no answer at all. You completely sweep aside the audit figures of one of the most respected accounting firms in the United States and dismiss them as “hype.” You provide no source for your unsubstantiated charge that “tort reform won’t stop defensive medicine.”

You show yourself for the scoundrel you are. Facts and figures mean nothing to you if they don’t fit your totally myopic way of thinking. The only respect you deserve is to be found in the Orwellian world of lies and propaganda.

    • Dave

It sounds like what progressives want is “utopia” – in Latin that’s “NO PLACE”; in the vernacular, “thar aint no such place!!”

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Eric just wants the government to pay for it all Dave, so he can sit around on the front porch and drink 40′s and smoke joints with his homies all day, or it sure seems that way.

        • Eric Bischoff

It is so tiring to have to repeat yourself over and over.

We are already paying for it. It’s just a matter of prioritizing the way we spend and what we spend it on. Or is that too complicated too?

          • DaveH

Apparently the concept of “spend your own damn money, Eric” is too complicated for YOU!

          • Vigilant

“It is so tiring to have to repeat yourself over and over.

“We are already paying for it. It’s just a matter of prioritizing the way we spend and what we spend it on. Or is that too complicated too?”

A very uncomplicated solution: let the people as individuals pay for what they choose to pay for, and get Gov’t out of the nanny business. Return Gov’t to its originally mandated and Constitutionally restricted role.

Repeating yourself over and over doesn’t make the BIG LIE more palatable to common sense, rational persons. I can’t speak for the sheep who have no appreciation for (or knowledge of) the miracle that came about in 1789.

Your hopes and desires, my friend, desecrate the core principles of the Declaration of Independence and Constitution. Go somewhere else and preach to the congregation of the indolent and ignorant. We who love this country and have a firm understanding that individual freedom and and Capitalism have made this the most successful nation in history don’t buy into your communist propaganda.

Or is that too complicated too?

          • rcguy45

Then shut your pie hole and leave, I’m tired of reading your dribble, your position stinks and your final solution would have all of us hailing Commrad Obama.

I don’t hate you, I just hate the way you think, are you having a phsykotic episode, you need some serious mental health screening.

          • rcguy45

          • Vicki

            Eric Bischoff says:
“It is so tiring to have to repeat yourself over and over.”

            Then stop it.

Eric Bischoff slips and lets his intent out:
“We are already paying for it. It’s just a matter of prioritizing the way we spend and what we spend it on. Or is that too complicated too?”

Evidence of your liberal, government must force us, position. Had you really been supporting free choice you would have said “We are already paying for it. We need to STOP.” As in halt as it reduce spending starting with ……

If it walks like a duck…. (I may make that my new sig line :) )

          • http://donthaveone Beberoni

We are already paying for it. So Eric says. That is the problem. The government needs to stop making us working folks pay for it, and make these sponges of society get off their lazy arse’s and get to work. Cut the hand outs now. But no, what is the first stinking thing Obama did when he came in? The first stinking thing? He expanded welfare, food stamps, unemployment, and abortion. Kind of set the tone for what was to come didnt he. Therein, lies the problem. Handouts. They are killing us.

    • Mike Keller

Eric, I agree to a certain degree, but please DON’T put the rest of us in your corner, man, I maybe a progressive, but your a nut! We do not NEED any kind of sociallism at all, period. I don’t want most of the regulations you stated, but lets get real, you make us as (progressives) as you kelt on about, look like democrates in a lot of what you have said.I do not believe in ANY capping of any wages, low or high! If you make it this world, you WORK for it! Your thinking is VERY dangerous, and you need really to take a breathe hear, I said I do agree with the primary throught that you have, but do NOT PUT MAIN STREAM AMERICA IN YOUR BOAT! I want less government, less regulation, Free trade between our aliles, NO trade with China at all, NO trade with any Country that will impose tariffs on our incoming goods, and for government to do only what it was designed to do, PROTECT! and nothing else. The of the people, by the people, and for the people, nothing more, and let the free market place do what it WILL, with out the help of the Government, if we fail, we fail on our on merrit!

      • Angel Wannabe

        Well said MIke K.!

        • Eric Bischoff

Oh here we go we can always count on Angel to agree with anyone that disagress or insults me.

You don’t sound like a progressive at all and I venture to say that you probably have no idea of what’s possible. You are all too afraid. You all sit around and complain failing to realize that most if not all of your limited ideas are the ones implemented. Your governmet you so like to bash has been elected by all of you and never the real progressives.

So who’s responsible for this mess?

          • Angel Wannabe

Eric, I guess you can take it personally if you want to, but I don’t condone Progressives antics, It makes no difference to me, if that includes you or not, but if the shoe fits?

          • DaveH

I love it! Eric is alienating his own people now. Thank you Eric. Are you sure you’re not really a Freedom Loving plant sent here to make Liberals look bad?

          • Vigilant

DaveH, he’s not really alienating his own. As I posted earlier, he’s deviously hijacked the label of “progressive” as if that gives him some legitimacy to spew communist propaganda.

          • eddie47d

Mike K is not a true progressive but made valid comments. Eric also made strong points and is no a communist. Blaming everything you don’t agree with as Marxist or communist shows your shallowness on many issues.

          • Vicki

            Lets see. Hmmmmm….
Progressivism is a political attitude favoring or advocating changes or reform through governmental action.

So, Eric, How many times will you deny your people?

(Oh I should include a cite to backup my assertion. Something Eric has not yet learned in spite of his worldly ways)
            http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressivism

          • eddie47d

I’ve said before that a free market system is better that Big Government……but the capitalism part of it has failed miserably in the last few years. Greed get’s ahead of common sense and the people demand government action. It would be nice if it swings back and the free market can work better but I am not holding my breath.

          • Vicki

            eddie47d says:
“I’ve said before that a free market system is better that Big Government……but the capitalism part of it has failed miserably in the last few years.”

            How has it failed?

eddie47d:”Greed get’s ahead of common sense and the people demand government action.”

That is not the fault of capitalism. That is the fault of people.

I still want you to explain how capitalism has failed when all that has really happened is that people have gotten their government to interfere with capitalism.

          • http://donthaveone Beberoni

We can count on Angel to agree with anyone who disagree’s with me, so says Eric. Geez dude, thats like 97 percent of us. Ever wonder why that is Eric? Could it really be that 97 percent of us are wrong, and your right? Are you that arrogant? Really?

    • bruce davis

YOU PROGRESSIVES CAN DO WHAT YOU WANT.IF YOU DON’T WANT TO EAT MEAT AND BE FAT,FINE WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU HAVE ANY RIGHT TO DECIDE FOR ANYONE ELSE?

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

I agree with one thing on your post, the predatory middle man dictating what kind of health care we should have, and than man is Obama. However, you miss constantly on the rest of it. We need more and more nuclear reactors for clean power. You demonize them. Socialism fails and has failed everywhere and everytime it has been practiced, yet you embrace it. Sick. Nobody wants wars Eric. But they are necessary, as you seem to fail to realize, that terrorism isnt because of what we do or dont do. Its because they are muslim Islamic extremists whose sole desire is to take over the world, and eliminate the jews, the Christians, the Hindu’s, the Mormons and anyone who doesnt think like they do. And yet people like you give them a free pass, yet if Christians were going around blowing up World Trade Centers and taking over countries and forcing their ideals on people, you would be in an uproar about it, and say they have no right. But since its just muslims who want you dead, its ok? Thats sick man, real sick. What causes these wars is trying to stop this hatred they seek to institute on the world. Or we could just sit back and let thenm conquer all of Europe like Hitler did before we got involved. Or do like Clinton and let them keep blowing up stuff and killing our people and not do anything about it. News to ya Eric, there are some of us who believe in fighting for what is right, and believe in giving others a chance at the freedoms we so often take for granted. That doesnt come from sitting down and talking with people who have vowed over and over to kill us and not stop trying until us or they are dead. You dont talk to people like Eric. Its like talking to a wall. You attack and take them out, or your a sitting duck waiting for them to come get you. I hate war pal, I abhor it. But I also know it is neccessary to achieve peace. Only through war has peace ever been achieved between nations. So you can be a pacifist and sit back and curl up in a ball and cry and hope they dont hurt you, or you can man up, and stand up and fight for what is right and for what you believe in. Question is, what do you believe in Eric? Them, or us. Its thats simple. Its black and white Eric, and your living in that gray area. That where losers lie. Wake up, and quit straddling the fence man. Its right and wrong, black and white, good and evil, and there is no “everything is ok” do whatever you want. No no, it doesnt work that way. So you need to decide, are you an American, or are you an enemy? That is the question that shouldnt need put to anyone from this country, but it needs to be put to people who think along your lines, because your actions and words say you are one of them.

      • Eric Bischoff

Whys did congress work on healthcare again? Was it because ti was the fastest rising cost that was crippling business in America maybe?

I know it’s all Obama’s fault. How convenient always blame some one else.

On Nuclear energy. Have you ever wondered why Wall St hasn’t and won’t finance any nukes? So now you will be OK with socialized Nukes financed by our tax dollars. You do realize that’s the only way they’ll ever get built. Oh and by the way it is one of the most elaborate convoluted subsidized system. From mining to design, to financing to construction to refining to storage to disposal to decommissioning. Hypocrits!

When it comes to terrorism and our responsibility for our involvement in the world, that’;s where you are the most clueless.

The rest of your diatribe shows what I believe best describes our problems in America. Too many of you are stuck in the immature Teenager phase and not just plain teenagers but bullies who think they know everything but are really pathetic.

My country love it or leave it. You are either with us or against us. You are obviously incapable of formulating your own ideas you just repeat the old worn out cliches.

        • Warrior

Hey goofy, I’ve been in healthcare for 30 years and you don’t have a clue what drives health care costs. You see my friend, government is the problem. I can also tell you what the end game is for the progressives, jobs and control. It has nothing, repeat nothing to do with costs. That’s the progressive sales pitch. Why do you think this was such a big deal for the Clinton’s almost 20 years ago?

        • DaveH

          The real solution:
          http://mises.org/daily/3643

What a scam Liberals foist on the citizens. First they distort the healthcare market with their government intrusions, then after the damage is done offer more of their flawed policies as the cure.

          • Vicki

Kinda like a heroin dealer. Here try this. Oh withdrawal painful? Buy this. It will cure the pain. Oh withdrawal painful? Buy this. It will cure the pain. Oh withdrawal painful? Buy this. It will cure the pain. Oh withdrawal painful? Buy this. It will cure the pain. Oh withdrawal painful? Buy this. It will cure the pain. Oh withdrawal painful? Buy this. It will cure the pain. Oh withdrawal painful? Buy this. It will cure the pain. Oh withdrawal painful? Buy this. It will cure the pain. Oh withdrawal painful? Buy this. It will cure the pain. Oh withdrawal painful? Buy this. It will cure the pain. Oh withdrawal painful? Buy this. It will cure the pain. …………………………..

Anyone see a pattern there? :)

        • Vigilant

“On Nuclear energy. Have you ever wondered why Wall St hasn’t and won’t finance any nukes? So now you will be OK with socialized Nukes financed by our tax dollars. You do realize that’s the only way they’ll ever get built.”

What a pathetic faux argument. the prohibitive costs and drawn out periods to put nuclear energy on line are the direct result of environmentalist pussies and other leftist pressures.

Wall Street would be more than happy to provide funding if the roadblocks to clean and efficient nuclear energy were removed.

        • http://donthaveone Beberoni

I didnt see anything intelligent in there anywhere, other than realizing, you are part of the problem, not part of the solution. You would probably sit down with Bin Laden, buy him a wine dinner, and kiss his butt and ask him not to hurt us, and tell him were sorry and we will be nice to him and his boys from now on. Me, Id sit down with him, look him in the eye, and let him know he has a meeting with Jesus, and send him to his appointment. Any questions?

    • Conservative at Birth

I want all the totalitarians like you to move to another country where they practice these failed ideas. I will chip in to buy your plane ticket. Does that answer your question?

      • Eric Bischoff

Where do you mean? Like Germany a Socialist Democracy, one that is kicking our asses right now. One that has an alternative energy program that is kicking ass. One that still has a manufacturing base that employs unionized workers. One that provides healthcare and education. Is that what you consider failed?

        • DaveH

For those who seek the truth about Germany’s economy:
          http://heritage.org/index/Country/Germany

          • JeffH

DaveH, The bottom line is that Germany’s economy is now totally export dependent, and as a permanent condition that is not a desireable thing, not even for the Germans themselves, since it makes their livelihood incredibly dependent on global demand, and thus on others. In short, they still don’t control their own economy.

          • eddie47d

Most Americans are trying to seek out the truth about our economy. Both sides have lied to us for decades.

          • eddie47d

I wish America had Germany’s failures. It would be nice to export products out of this country and pay down our debt.We have the opposite problem and import way too much.

          • JeffH

eddie47d, who’s to blame for that imbalance? G-O-V-E-R-N-M-E-N-T!

          • Angel Wannabe

Your right JeffH, Government shipped Business and industry off shore_with TOO much tax & regulation, yet the progressive sheep cowar in they’re leaders shadows like friggin heros___If half of them had brains, they’d be dangerous!

          • JeffH

AWb, “Government shipped Business and industry off shore_with TOO much tax & regulation”…too bad everybody can’t realize it…but if you’re a liberal, progressive, Marxist, socialist, communist the blame falls on the “evil” corporations.

          • DaveH

I don’t think Eric knows what Socialism is. Germany is not Socialistic. Don’t confuse Socialism which is Government ownership of the companies with the Welfare state which does describe Germany.
Anyway, The United States has a GDP of a little over $14 trillion. Our population is about 310 million. So that is about $45,000 per person in the US.
Germany has a GDP of about $2.8 trillion. Their population is about 82 million. So that is about $34,000 per person in Germany. And we should envy them?

          • DaveH

He obviously didn’t know what a fascist was when he accused me of being that yesterday. Libertarians are as far away from fascist as people can get.

          • Vicki

Don’t distract Eric. Let him move to Germany. :)

          • Vigilant

Considering his propensity to extol the virtues of Deutschland at every opportunity, I suspect he’s either there already, or is transplanted to this country.

            How ’bout it Eric?

    • DaveH

There are two major things wrong with Eric’s stated Progressive policies: Immorality and Reality.

Whether you act alone to take the lawfully acquired property of others, or act as a member of a gang 100 million strong to take the lawfully acquired property of others, you are stealing. Read this article to see further development of that:
      http://mises.org/daily/4125

And for those of you who still prefer to rationalize your Immorality, see my next comment for Reality.

      • DaveH

Liberals (they call themselves Progressives now) can rationalize their Immorality with terms like “fair”. But what is “fair”? Is it everybody playing by the same rules? It seems to mean something different to everybody I talk to. Do Progressives play by the rules? I think not. Their purposeful ignoring of the Constitutional Limits on Government exposes that.
So let’s get to Reality. History is littered with the bodies of Progressive Countries, including many in present times whose economies are in shambles because they succumbed to the Liberal Siren Song. Why doesn’t Progressivism work? Simple, people quit working. As Progressive power grows, productivity lessens because many who sought the good life and thus worked long hours, studied hard, and sacrificed pleasures to achieve their goals, quit making that effort. That results in less productivity, and as the economy declines Liberals offer more of their medicine (really poison) as the cure. So, the economy declines further and they offer more medicine until the economy eventually collapses as in so many modern day countries such as Zimbabwe, North Korea, or Cuba.
Don’t take my word for it. See this index of countries arranged from most economically free (least goverhment) to least economically free (most government):
        http://www.heritage.org/index/Ranking

        • Eric Bischoff

It’s funny you would pick these examples. But you don’t dare make a real comparison. You are a chicken les’s compare the Socialist Democracy Germany.

          • DaveH

Here is the truth (again, so that Eric doesn’t have to expend the effort to look up to my previous comment):
            http://heritage.org/index/Country/Germany

          • ValDM

            Eric,
You are fighting a losing battle here. I suggest you steep yourself in the writings of Ayn Rand. While her books are mostly fiction, the picture is certainly clear in each of her books. If you doubt that this woman had anything relevant to say, consider that she emmigrated here to escape the atrocity of living in the USSR, which was Socialist, and also FAILED.

          • Vicki

            Eric Bischoff writes:
“let’s compare (economics of) the Socialist Democracy Germany.”

            Socialism:
1: any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods
            http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/socialism

Hmmm… Looking at the Heritage foundation site DaveH provided we find
“The overall freedom to establish and run a business is well protected under Germany’s regulatory environment. Starting a business takes an average of 18 days, compared to the world average of 35 days. Obtaining a business license requires less than the world average of 18 procedures and 218 days. ”

Doesn’t match Eric’s claim of Socialist. A search of “socialist Democracy of Germany” generates few hits on Google. Most referring to NAZI Germany.

And Eric calls our arguments weak.

          • Eric Bischoff

Yes I know Dave’s entire source of information comes from the Heritage Foundation. A think tank started and funded with a sole purpose of creating propaganda for the Tea Party founders the Russiand Oil Oligarchs The KOCH Brothers.

          • Jana

And yur sources ERIC comes from the communists agenda.

          • Eric Bischoff

Jana Vicki AngelWannabe and DaveH you guys are a tight nit little click. That’s good. It would be nice if you had something meaningful to contribute once in a while.

          • Jana

            Eric,
Of course we don’t have anything meaningful for you YOU COMMUNIST.
It is impossible to reason with a communist.

            My answer below

          • Vicki

Heritage foundation. Founded in 1973 that predates the Tea Party by quite a few years.
KOCH Industries gave a whole 1 million to heritage (no date given) but implication is 2010

          • Vicki

The tea party history has only a little blurb about the Koch brothers and certainly was not founded by them individually nor collectivity.

          • Vicki

            en.wikipedia.org – wiki – Tea_Party_movement # Background_and_history

(Oops there’s that pesky cite that I keep throwing in to prove my assertions. Might be nice if Eric would learn the concept.)

For some reason the link above was rejected till I chewed it up.
Just remove the spaces and replace the – with /

          • eddie47d

The Koch Brothers had alot to do with the Tea Party getting off the ground. Dig a little deeper and you’ll find it.

          • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Your wrong Eric, and making an ass out of yourself. You can read cant you? I suggest you open the sites Dave provides, and read, or get someone to read it to you if your struggling with that. Its ok to ask for help, nothing wrong with that at all.

    • Warrior

That’s great Eric. Take your progressive friends and go start your own utopia elsewhere, True Americans are not interested in your snake oil.

      • DaveH

He won’t. He can’t and he knows it. If he was half as smart as he thinks he is, he would already be a successful businessman and teaching his Liberal buddies the same. Then they wouldn’t need to lust after the money of others. But they aren’t as smart as they think they are, so they resort to inciting others to be thieves like themselves.

        • Eric Bischoff

As far as I am concerned you are the thieves. You are the ones limiting greatness with your fear and your lack of vision and your lack of belief in what’s really possible. You are the ones keeping this country from being great.

Remember conservative your very label means timid, cautious, holding on, adverse to change,

where as progressive means promoting change and innovation, open to new ideas.

I once was in a Tony Robbins seminar where we learned about working together and the processes and understanding required because we are all different but we do fall into groups in our behavior.

If you showed people a drawing of 3 squares or rectangles mixed with squares. Some people said there all square. Some said they were all square but one was different. Some said they were all different and some said they were all different but two were similar

From that we were able to devise a management system where the matchers, which were open minded progressives would meet first to work on a problem and quickly throw out lots of ideas and potential solutions.

When they were finished they invited the mismatchers to pick it apart and tell them what was wrong with it.

So now we had a system for getting people, who don”t understand or even like each other or their ways of thinking, to actually work together for the greater good.

Had we put them all together in a room first they would have just yelled and argued.

I wonder how we could apply that across the country. It might require compromise. But one thing is for sure, and we may have forgotten it, It takes all kinds to make a world and we need each other.

          • Warrior

          • DaveH

The Liberals better hurry up and get somebody to silence you, Eric. You are like a one-man tornado destroying any credibility that they may have had.

Warrior; Our capitalistic system failed us big time just a few years ago and we are still feeling that effect. So who is selling all that snake oil?Open you mind and don’t just blame it all on the government.

          • Vicki

Eddie47d how (and be precise) did our capitalist system fail you?
Do you stare at a paper match and will it to light?
Do you strike it upon the ground and when that fails do you blame the match?

          • Vigilant

            eddie:

“Our capitalistic system failed us big time just a few years ago and we are still feeling that effect. So who is selling all that snake oil?Open you mind and don’t just blame it all on the government.”

First, reports of the demise of capitalism are premature (much to the chagrin of the socialists).

Second, if it ever does fail, there is only ONE entity to blame: GOVERNMENT.

          • Jana

            eddie,
What failed is all of the liberal agenda’s wanting to Give everyone a house, whether or not they could pay for it. They couldn’t, and the rest is history now. The famous words from the left “Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac are solvent.”

          • Vicki

We have all noticed Eddie47d has failed (yet again) to answer a simple question about his claims.

          • eddie47d

I’ll be as precise as you Vickie. Which means I don’t have to be precise. I seldom defend bigger government but I will never defend corrupt corporations. They can be a bigger curse when it comes to honesty and they have proven it in spades.

          • Vigilant

Personally, I’d take corrupt corporations over corrupt government any day of the week.

Corrupt business enterprises will ultimately fail under the weight of that corruption, and the people affected will be those who have invested in, or are customers of that corporation. The legal system provides the apparatus to assess criminal and civil penalties. The failure to exact Draconian punishment for white collar crime is not the fault of the corporations, it is clearly layable at the feet of lawyers and corrupt politicians.

Corrupt government will also ultimately fall under the weight of its corruption, and EVERYONE will be affected. And we’re not talking about JUST loss of savings and 401Ks, we’re looking at true disaster that would threaten to throw us into violent strife and death. And we’ve allowed politicians to essentially shield themselves from prosecution by establishing laws and rules that afford them immunities.

You cry “havoc” and unleash the dogs of war against a corporation whose corruption affects you only minimally or not at all, yet you would allow government to rob you of life, liberty and property without as much as a wimper.

Your envy and hatred of the wealthy blinds you to the real enemy in our lives.

          • Vicki

            eddie47d says:
“I seldom defend bigger government but I will never defend corrupt corporations. They can be a bigger curse when it comes to honesty and they have proven it in spades.”

This is eddie47ds answer to the question
“how (and be precise) did our capitalist system fail you?”

Not seeing an answer to the question Eddie47d. Not that I expect one.

          • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Conservative means to me, God, Family and Country. Liberal means empower the enemy, drug and alcohol abuse, handouts to losers, and taxation without representation. Yeah, its kind of like that.

I want adherence to the Constitution. Your socialist utopia (one’s NEVER worked yet… this time it’s different because???) is not only un-American and un-Constitutional, it’s demonstrably ANTI-Constitutional and by definition falls into the “domestic enemy” camp. How did the U.S. become a pre-eminant world power in less than a couple hundred years compared to middle and far east societies that have been around for millenia? Why isn’t the USSR the last remaining super-power (taxation at 97.5% failed, but as soon as we can tax at 115% of income the paradise will be realized??) and America relegated to the dust-bin of history?

The answer is to all the above questions is the “Constitution of the United Staes of America” as penned by the brilliance and fore-sight of the framers. It champions the exact opposite of Socialism/Communism and unleashes the potential of the INDIVIDUAL (always expendable in progressive Valhalla) like no other document in recorded history. The Fords and Carnegies couldn’t exist in another country/society pre-USA. The rich as a general rule DO work harder (obvious exceptions are inheritance “slugs” and financial predators), smarter, and are visionaries thanks to Constitution that allows people to be the “best that they can be”!!

The progressive model incentivises what?? Mediocrety, sloth, espouses slavery masquerading as entitlement, kills the human spirit, and sacrifices altruism because selfishness = survival.

Other than that, I have no strong opinions one way or the other.

      • kenneth

Thank you for sharing that. I like to think I had the intellect to say the same thing, but man that was dang good. If you don’t get what alpha-lemming said, it’s simply because you don’t want to. That! Would be one of real obvious reasons why we have the trouble we have now in this country. Those that don’t get it are trying to change our educational system (particularly history), our constitution, and everything else which links us to God and our country and freedom. This way they can take control, and that is what it is all about. control. There isn’t any support to any of their ideas from the past (and make no mistake their ideas are not original by any stretch of their imagination)that supports today that their ideology has any merit to be support by anyone and especially main stream journalism. It was b/s way back then and is was tried, failed miserably, and it is b/s sugar coated to look like something they call progressive today. It has been force feed to the masses year after year via, movies, art, news, journalism, and so called education. All of it based on lies and halve truths, which when they are confronted are then defended with political correctness, racial discrimination, profiling, and the party of no, as their warring cry for so called fairness and justice. If people could just stick with truth and facts as their guiding light they will be lead to the real reality that government can not be all to all and that even means to those who are good and honest and even for the hard working. Those who do have that character will find that others will see their fate and give them a helping hand. Those who don’t have that will , will be judge by the character of how they are handling their situation. Most people who are good ( and we have a lot of them in this country) don’t want anyone to suffer. Like wise if you don’t have any character and you are basically looking for a hand out, then you will be treated as such. There is a place for them in our society also. Anyone of us know we can end up there. That’s why some of us have a belief in God. Too bad more of us are not leaning on him instead of government hand outs.

      • Eric Bischoff

Well let’s not forget an incredibly vast amount of untouched resources and slave labor. You’d have to be an idiot to blow it with that.

        • Vigilant

Slave labor? It’s been over 145 years since we had that. I’d say you’re reaching a little bit there aren’t you?

But then, for the purposes of dialectical materialism, I guess that’s fair game in your mind, huh?

You must REALLY hate America to bring that out.

          • Jana

            Vigilant,
If our country turned to communism like Eric wants, we would all be slaves, including Eric. He is just not smart enough to see it.

        • alpha-lemming

Like the USSR??? More resources and only about a thousand times more slaves. They managed to “blow it”. Are they idiots?? OR… did the implementation of progressive ideals (communism/socialism) kill their country, society, economy, and flexibility??? Hmmm… think think…

Eh… you’re right, they must’ve been idiots. Communism always works… right??

        • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Are you calling me a slave Eric, because Im willing to take a good paycheck from my employer to make a living for myself and my family? Are you kidding me? No matter where you work or what you do, the Bible tells us to approach our work and do it as if we were doing it for God. So do it good, do it pure and righteous, and that is also why it is written Eric, that blessed is the money we earn, and also that no good comes from ill gotten gain. When people are fully able to work, and choose not to, and collect government handouts, that is definitely ill gotten gain, and as you see, when they are out there sitting on the porches across America, drinking 40′s, smoking pot and cigarettes all day, on the public dole, no good is coming from it. Imagine that will you.

    • Carl E.D.

      Eric,
What I won’t is the “CONSTITUTION” and “BILL of RIGHTS” to be the controlling Documents in this Country. I do not need your “Totalitarian” thought or laws to rule the day. Single Payer eliminates free market enterprise and is all about Government control of your life, your decisions, which according to ERIC you have no right to make your own decisions. Eric is none other then a LIBERAL VARMINT wanting to be called a PROGRESSIVE. Same VARMINT different name. They are predators and nothing less…………..

      • rcguy45

Carl, Eric is what’s called an ultra liberal, if he can’t get his way he will bully until he gets his way, jusy plain and simple logic. He’ll use any means at his disposal to disprove his criticks even to go so low to lie about events to make his point, Eric is touched in the brain and is in serious need of medical attention.

        • Eric Bischoff

I may get it wrong sometimes but I am not a liar. You on the other hand are just plain rude.

          • Jana

            Eric,
You claim he is rude. Go look in the mirror. When you have nothing else you call people stupid. Rude gets what rude gives.

          • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Thats a lie Eric. You are one of the biggest liars Ive ever seen in these post. You constantly lie to and about DaveH. You misquote him and say he says things he never said. If that isnt a lie, I dont know what is. Then when I make a post and state out and out facts, you say nothing of meaning here. Your an out and out liar son, so dont underestimate yourself. Your not as good as Clinton, but keep working at it and you might get there someday.

        • Vigilant

“Carl, Eric is what’s called an ultra liberal, if he can’t get his way he will bully until he gets his way…”

Bullies need power and strength. Eric’s arguments have neither.

    • Robin from Arcadia, IN

Eric… I would like to see all the liberals shipped to an island all their own. Leave America the way it was when the founding fathers made up the Constitution and Bill of Rights. We want Capitalism. You want socialism, start a country elsewhere. America had a good thing going and now you want to change it. I hope you find a spot where you and all the others progressives can go and leave us to our great country without you!

      • Vigilant

Wow, Robin, that’s a virtual sentence of death for the socialists! Who would do the work? They’ll starve unless they can get foreign aid from some sucker country.

        • http://donthaveone Beberoni

They could be like their own foreign country, where we send aid to all the time for no apparant reason.

    • (WIA) Wild Indian in Action

Well Eric “Progressive” —- off, you eddie69d and all your progressives can be polite and honorable and go — yourselves, what part of Progressive Communism do you not understand? If you are bent to hell to put Americans in chains, controlled by a tyrannical Government, I suggest you move your arse to Venenzuel and and —off with Hugo Chavez, he has created your Utopia.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Eric and eddie need to live under the rule of Chavez or Il Jung or one of those nutjobs, then they just might appreciate what they have in this country, instead of being all doom and gloom and whoa is me all the time. Im sick of their whining, when they bring it all on themselves with their anti American rhetoric. If it is so bad here for them, why dont they just leave? Those that cry all the time like these two, should just leave. I know if I hated somewhere as much as these two show their hate for America, I would leave right now, and not dump my doom and gloom on everyone else. If it was that bad as they purport it to be, they should just leave. We would be a better country if they did, and those that think like them went with them. No doubt about it.

    • Another Vet

Comrade Eric, you are one of the scariest of progressives. You said Socialists do not want … from others. Man, do you think we are idiots or are you that ignorant. Redistribution of wealth IS the platform on which Socialism is built! The Marxist manifesto is “FROM EACH ACCORDING TO THEIR ABILITY. TO EACH ACCORDING TO THEIR NEED.” Progressive can be substituted by socialist/democrat… Have you never read a history book? How can anyone think this stuff is a good idea?!!! JEEEZ!!!!!

      • Eric Bischoff

You are all so scared it’s pathetic.

        • Vigilant

I love your short insults when you’ve been out-argued and cannot come up with a rational reply.

        • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Hey dipshit, he calls you out, and this is your reply? Thats all you got. Where is your intelligent reply? Oh yeah, when your wrong and caught, I guess your pretty much stuck with the reply you gave, now arent you. Now that is Eric just proving who and what he is.

      • Vicki

“From each according to their ability, To each according to their need.”

And people like Eddie47d and Eric Bischoff claim corporations are greedy? From each according to their ability so (The STATE) gets the plumbers, and painters, and rocket scientists abilities and only have to pay what the worker NEEDS”

If I were an “evil” corporation I would LOVE that deal. What do people need. (That the state or corp could provide)

Food.(bread and water with a few nuts and legumes. Acorns come to mind)
        Water.
Protection from the elements. (A small cage will do for sleep)

WHAT A DEAL. Though I bet if you asked them they would claim they have more needs than that :) )

Btw you don’t need healthcare. Your body has antibodies. We will just feed you whatever our bureaucrats say is best for you. Have a nice day.

        • http://donthaveone Beberoni

And while eddie and Eric are calling the successful corporations greedy and demonizing them, they think it is ok for greedy unions to cripple a company by going on strike to feed their greed for more money, while they are hurting those that pay them. But that is ok in their eyes. Funny how that works with liberals. Its ok if it benefits them, but if someone else they dont like benefits, they want to screw them. Imagine that.

    • Allan Halbert

Ever wondered why everyone else is “misled” and you aren’t?

  • Give me a Break!

The sad reality is we have truly become a nation divided, not only are there those who don’t realize what they realy voted for, there are those who realy believe that big Government is the only way to solve their problems. Personal responsibility has become a thing of the past, so having greedy, power hungry beauricrats calling the shots on whats best for all of us, in their eyes is the one and only choice they believe they have. Compromising with the opposing party (the Democrats) is not an opption, this has become a fight against good and evil, and we can’t by no account, let our gard down. It’s all about liberty or death, freedom or bondage, and we need to reflect on what our founding fathers told us and did to form the greatest country on earth. The progessives want the masses to forget what freedom truly is so they can take complete control of us, for it is the doom of a country when it’s people forget!

    • http://foundersrevolution.blogspot.com/ Patriot1776

You are absolutly correct that we have become divided. There are those who believe in inalienable, God-given, natural rights, that should NEVER be up for a vote. And those that believe that they have a right to your labor simply because they exist and don’t have the motivation or the werewithal to provide for themselves. I belong to the former. And I don’t believe we can find common cause with those in the latter anymore.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

That is the great achievement of the Obama regime. He has proven to be the biggest divider to ever sit in the White House. Its a shame, but it is also a fact. He is the great divider.

      • Dave

“Here!, Here! or words to that effect!! I voted for Constitutionalists and Independents versus R or D. Taking a page out of the liberals playbook, “If you think that’s radical; you aint seen radical!!” Instead of retreating, it’s time to take a page out of the Roman playbook; when you embark on a project “burn your bridges behind you”. This also means eradicating the bad legislation previously passed to the point of repealing Obamacare, Cap and Tax, and re-affirming the law of no homosexuals in the military. Check out worldviewweekend.org, truthsthattranform.org, www. wallbuilders.org and multiple other Websites to return to what used to be our public policy in America.

        • DaveH

          Yay for the Good Guys.

      • Vigilant

As the lead article mentions, “the painful reality is that slightly less than half of the voters cast their ballots in favor of Democratic candidates who, with just a few notable exceptions, want to increase spending, taxes and regulation.”

The number of idiots who gave the progressives their vote is roughly equal to the number who don’t pay taxes in this country. Pelosi’s and Reid’s agenda is to accelerate the creation of dependencies to the point that the givers are the minority and the takers hold sway.

I can think of nothing more self-serving and dishonest in bringing this great nation to its knees.

        • Jana

          Vigilant,
You said it all. The ones who voted for the Liberal agenda are the very ones with their hands out saying gimme, gimme, gimme.

  • SiliconDoc

The cure, unlikely to occur unfortunately

” As I have previously written, I interpret her word nonsense to be a euphemism for blatant criminal activity.

Let’s face it. Even we have no idea of the depths of illegal activity there. Everything criminal has become an unnoticed ethical violation, until of course the patriot decides to not vote with the living breathing anti_Constitutional communists.
Just like the Tom Delay charges fell flat, just like Rep. Weldon was slammed out after they went after his daughter…

The rule of law is, play dirty anti_Constitutional ball, or get burned. No whistle blowing of course – as soon as they needed a whistle blowing law, it should have told all of us immediately some whistle blowing had slipped through the crush machine, so they passed a cryptically worded piece of crap that would wind up swirling a whistle blower in 8 years of courtroom drama as they got burned to a crisp in the meantime.

ANY sort of faith or belief in the government being honest, trustworthy, or upright, is a sad sick joke. I try to avoid going deeper and learning more, as the many years it has taken for me to get this far has wound up in a reviling disgust and shock and awe at the criminality uncovered that is business as usual.

When what was it that – nearly the entire house of reps – or senate or both I guess – was found to have overdrawn their congressional checking accts. ?
I mean these people do live the American dream. Nothing they do can be wrong – immunity is nearly absolute – and the only thing one needs to avoid is some psychotic press frenzy – and even then, if deeply entangled, only those chosen to be pruned shall be, and then only the very worst of all the hundreds of offenders in the entire congress.

I agree also with the articles point that the election was a mere switcharoo – I’ve seen enough proclamations of “total destruction” of the opposition to make me sick.

The truth appears to be that no matter whom is in power, everything goes toward tyranny…

Now I’ve seen 51% gov control of economy(GM, banks, insurance, housing), and since then they’ve added health care, upping the ante to 65%+. So now all powerful executive czars and commissions and boards filled with DC bean counting deciders is our new all time full time centrally planned way of life.

Not like anything BUT a total and absolute collapse has even a far out chance of restoring the Constitution to even 50% status. I’ve heard those who claim to know – that would make everything immensely worse…

So the answer is – the victory in the recent election was nice, but unless and until we get 80% or so Senate, 80% House, and a Repub Pres. all at the same time, you can FORGET any sort of reductions , reversals, or the like.

Even the McConnel says “repeal AND REPLACE”.

It’s the REPLACE part that should indicate to you what is really going on. I mean figure it out already !

    • http://foundersrevolution.blogspot.com/ Patriot1776

      AMEN!!

    • Dave

Unfortunately, age is no guarantee of both common sense and a knowledge of the issues and personalities in an election. I’m sure there are people my age (67yo) raised in the public school system who haven’t done their electoral homework, have long ago (if they ever learned) forgotten their history much less adopted an appropriate worldview and hence “vote with their heart”, on what the MSM tells them, etc. instead of checking affiliations, voting records, background/job experience appropriateness, etc. There is some rationale afoot that since we don’t have the draft, driving is graduated to ease into it, and drinking is the same way, we should raise the voting age to 21; this would penalize home schoolers, mature HS grads etc. who are already current and know the values and principles to vote for.

  • SiliconDoc

In the insurance industry, EVERYTHING is already controlled by government laws.
For every little movement and sale of a policy, HUNDREDS of government laws control it – right down to the exact requirements of what is on the signed paperwork.
When a new policy type emerges, it is from direct Congressional bill action – at the Federal level from what I could tell.
An example was/is the fairly new non type A,B,C,D, or F “supplelemtal” policy – I don’t recall the exact name – but here a type F “social security retiree” “supplemental policy” was by absolute law $121 per month. PERIOD. That was the extremely common for everyone in retirement age.
The new “cheap policy” was government okayed into law, it was as I recall at the time $8 per month. The provisions it cut for the savings were the 60 or 120 days hospital stays – plus something about overnight or 3 days max payment… the reasoning being there was some other donut hole in the current coverage and this or that kicked in anyway above so and so $ amount spent…it seems to have been linked in some fashion to the “new part D” coverage that blasted onto the scene.
I also watched AIG/ OLD LINE getting destroyed as ELLIOT SPITZER the harlot dem champion disgraced NY governor ripped the company to shreds with lies and half baked lib crap. The changing paperwork flowing in as he raped AIG /OLD LINE in his kangaroo court was astounding.
I guess it was antics enough to get him into the GOVERNOR seat… it surely made for a worshipful glorious love session on Charlie Rose.
Then, I watched in horror as AIG was once again made the whipping boy of the lib progressives…
Oh, they can and they WILL DESTROY the strongest USA companies – do not doubt it.
The news will NEVER carry the simple full and correct story a 6th grader could follow.
Eric B up there has his “belief system” dream wishes outlined nicely, but it is my opinion that the big problem is IMPLEMENTATION of those far out dreams.
As far as I can tell, there isn’t a single thing the government doesn’t wind up being as big a criminal and thief with as the left side claims the private sector is. I don’t know for certain which is the uglier and more criminal beast – but if we go by the thefts from “the social security lockbox” and the insane “union boss” payments and collusions of power, with the Obama “take it and dole out GM to only your DEM constituents” while ROBBING BLIND all other protected by the law in front of everyone AND GETTING AWAY WITH IT -
doesn’t leave much if any, and doubtful at all room for claiming “the government will be less the criminals than the private sector is said to be”.

See once the government has it – they can break every law ever created for the private sector, and NO ONE CAN STOP THEM.

There’s that tiny little problem there just above…

    • (WIA) Wild Indian in Action

SiliconDoc, “NO ONE CAN STOP THEM” Hell it only takes “600 SHARP SHOOTERS” and then watch the other cowardly bastard run and flee!

LMAO, really? Good luck, domestic terrorism has no chance in a country like the US. You may call it a revolution, everyone else will call it terrorism and it will be dealt with accordingly. Get real, I see those “”strong men”” hiding behind a keyboard calling for a revolution all the time..its nothing but wishful thinking. To have a real revolution you have to have the majority of the population behind you. And you have not. Too many have too much to lose.Too many live paycheck to paycheck or depend on the government for handouts. You will only get a very small percentage of the average citizen to join you….its a lost cause to start with. Moreover, what do you want to fight with? Handguns against armored vehicles, tanks, gunship helicopters? Do you guys really believe that the military and law enforcement will join up? If so, you better go and see professional help you are delusional. Once the “”terrorist”” label is applied you have lost.

      • Dave

Additionally, the populace is not as monolithic as one might surmise. I for one am “unemployed/retired”, on S.S. with food stamps, am augmenting with stocks and an annuity, have a disabled wife also on SS and a daughter in her first year of college and while 67yo and paying into Part D take no meds, see no physician and don’t take influenza shots.
An aside; I like the idea of voting Senators out of office; do they continue to receive federal bennies or do they revert back to the hoi polloi Obamacare the rest of us labor and die under? There was no “professional politician”; even G. Washington himself returned to private life and I think the rest of them should do the same!!

Just had to say something about Eric’s progressive rant.

    Rhetoric – only Rhetoric.

Nothing new here. Same old progressive attitude: Take from those who will work and produce and give to those who will not.

Personally, I am sick of this attitude and that is why I vote for conservatives and against liberals/progressives.

And, by the way, I did not not originate these titles, they are accurate descriptions of the leftist agenda.

Time to quit compromising and time to stand for what is right for America!!

    God bless America.

Great Article!___Sadly there is two shows going on in Washington, the Dog and Pony show they let us see on a regular basis, and the one thats counts going on behind the curtain!___Thankfully the curtain is slowly being pulled back and OZ is being exposed. There is way more people involved in Legislation than meets the eye!
While I don’t trust polls,(b/c they can be manipulated) It’s hard to believe that 40% of the people still voted for that ole’ hope and change stuff at the beginning of November, but 680 seats is nothing to sneeze at._ BUT STILL, there is the Senate and the POTUS to contend with and the some of the rhinos in the Republican party!_It looks all well and good that the Republicans have begun the fight, with stopping earmarks, at least it’s a beginning. The biggest leap so far is, Mike Pence going after the Federal Reserve and dual mandates__Link below, if it doesn’t work, go to GOP.gov.

    http://www.gop.gov/press-release/10/11/16/pence-introduces-bill-to-end

Still, we lie in division, perhaps more than ever before. It’s a battle of Government vs God. Plain and simple.
It continues_While the courts get away with hearings of whether its appropriate for an American Citizen to fly the American flag anywhere they so choose_and shutting down children’s lemonade stands, or a families pumpkin stand to raise money for sports for what ever the cause, because they didn’t have the appropriate licenses,__This seems to be more important than the HC bill that’s taken over 1/6Th of the economy. A progressive manifest is to infiltrate, from the bottom up, the top down and inside out!!!__ If it acts like a dictatorship and walks like one, then its a pretty safe bet it’s a dictatorship!__It’s quite one thing those we elect take there job seriously, it’s quite another when they act as if they’re Gods and above the people. It makes no difference what side of the isle they’re on.
Our rights were given by God & the Constitution. The problems began, when we believed our leaders had a better plan than God. Our problems began when we left ourselves listen to and believe, the lies coming outta the main stream media, and not looking for the truth ourselves. We got lazy and in part to blame!!__While it will be impossible to completely stop the corruption in Washington, Pray with a watchful eye and a big mouth, we may be able to a least slow it down and Make them accountable. Every damn last one of those in Washington are in bed with everyone else. It’s looking for a needle in a haystack__and It’s called hiding in plain site!__It’s both sad an encouraging at the same time!

    • Dave

And the concept of democracy = mob rule; we’re a Constitutional Republic. For you very reason I voted for Constitutional and Independent party members instead of Republicans; last time they went as hog wild as the Democrats and I think if we’re going to invest special societies with politicians lets see what those espousing “other views” think about the CFR, the globalist agenda, and other “UN” speak.

  • Dennis

I wish someone would explain how we as voters can get the change we all claim to want, especially when the same ones are being re-elected time after time. The thing that is really awfull, only a small percentage of the registered voters took time to actually vote.
I am not a scholar of the Constitution so I am not an expert, but do not believe the Constitution guarantees the right to vote, it is a priviledge . Like other privilidges it can be taken away with the stroke of a pen. Wake up people, make yourself aware of the people in office, what they stand for, it anything, and then go to the polls, take this giovernment back and the country in the process.

Your right. And these liberals that keep wanting to expand government and wanting the government to take care of them and pay for everything, sure seem to forget that a government big enough to give you everything, is also big enough to take everything away from you. Thomas Jefferson said that. I just thought Id repeat some words from a very wise man, who seen the threat of big goverment coming a long, long time ago, and took the time to warn us of its danger.

    • Dave

      My thoughts exactly!!!

  • Richard

    Eric,

With your sphincter so tightly wrapped around your neck, you are not getting anywhere near enough oxygen. Think, “Liberty”.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

I think you hit the nail on the head on this one.

    • DaveH

Eric is too busy partying his life away to think about Liberty. Could it be he wore sunglasses for his portrait so they couldn’t see his dilated pupils?

      • eddie47d

Doesn’t sound like Eric has time to party Dave H. Is that more of your wild assumptions?

        • Vigilant

You’re right eddie. Eric appears to be too busy Googling the word “communist” so he can find new anti-American, anti-Capitalist propaganda with which to regale us.

  • richard brooks

that is a purty good piece of propaganda. if i applied your comment policy, this story would not appear.

the last three republican presidents spent more money than all of the other presidents in history, combined. so much for fiscal responsibility.

the only real difference between the party’s is who gets the money. they all spend our money.

the republicans have passed more laws restricting liberty than the democrats.

some of you should look up the word socialism. it has been in this country for a very long time. long before any of us were ever born.

politicians are all crooks. until you realize that, and change that, nothing will ever get better.

so you hate progressives? who is willing to give up all the progression we have made as a country. right. it is selective. and the fight for you is about the selection.

the reality of the last election is clear. americans are tired of government. both republican and democrat run government. they are tired of the emotional plea. like your story. they are tired of helping the world while ignoring this country and it’s citizens. a notable republican ideal. ( you would eliminate domestic social services and continue corporate and foreign)

i see no difference between you and the idiots on the extreme left. you simply want to change the names yet once again. and that is all that ever happens in an election. a name change. a change in who writes the check and who gets to cash the check.

    • DaveH

“the last three republican presidents spent more money than all of the other presidents in history, combined. so much for fiscal responsibility”
Can you cite references for that claim, Richard?
By the way, Congress passes the Spending Bills. You can see here who controlled Congress for most of the past 60 years:
      http://uspolitics.about.com/od/usgovernment/l/bl_party_division_2.htm

    • eddie47d

Clinton didn’t favor NAFTA but he was talked into it by smooth talking Republicans.Progressives and liberals were either neutral or against it. NAFTA may have been a good idea but has failed on most counts. Yet many on the right blame Clinton for the mess even though it was presented from a capitalistic approch. When the Republicans or Libertarian policies drop the ball the Democrats still get blamed. It’s not all milk and honey on your side Dave.

  • Dagney

I agree with the main thrust of this article that we want to CUT government, not REDUCE it. The evil must be cut out!

However, the beginning premise that SLIGHTLY more than 50% of the votes went to Republicans while slightly less than that went to Democrats, is not correct. Robert, you forget that probably at least 25% of the Democrat vote is fraudulent. I think it has been established that fully 80% of this country leans more conservative and the remaining 20% are hard leftists. So, the vote COUNT of slightly more or less than 50% must have a LOT of fraud not accounted for.

If the vote fraud happening in this country is not high on the list of things to correct, it should be.

    • Karolyn

Dagney – There is no basis for your claim of fraud and especially the 25% stat. Also, where did you get your stats from? Off the top of your head? They sure sound good to you, don’t they? I don’t believe any stats anymore. I would certainly beg to differ with yours.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

What do you mean no basis? Are you blind? This has been going on for years. Do you realize how JFK won the election over Nixon all those years ago? One hell of a lot of dead people voted for him, and gave him the edge he needed. History shows this to be factual, though you wont hear this on the national news now, as they have to protect their own you know. But they have done this for years. Come on, this election alone, there were thousands in Nevada complaining about Harry Reids name being registered when they didnt vote for him. Now how do you suppose that happened? And when over 70 percent of the country says they are Christian, then how can the democrats get more than 30 percent of the vote? No real Christian would vote for someone who sees no problem in murdering babies in their mommies bellies. Or says its ok to butt bump your buddy. No maam, those are not things of God, not at all. Someone is tampering with the votes somewhere, because they should not be getting anywhere near 30 percent of the votes.

        • Warrior

Correct, and guess who delivered the deciding votes? None other than the original Daley!

          • Vigilant

The electoral vote was 303 to 219, not even close. But evidence strongly suggests that Nixon won the popular vote.

        • Dave

Part of the problem Beberoni is that far too often the label “Christian” is merely that; the person has not been ‘born again’, has no concept of the very basics of Christian doctrine and thinks being on a church roll, attending a church, and using Christian terminology makes him a Christian. How do we have the disparity between the RC dogma of Pro-Life yet the average Catholic may well be pro-choice? Why do we have the nonsensical meeting of “all faiths” including Christians, Muslims, Jews, and Catholics when all of these faith systems believe diametrically opposing doctrines?

        • eddie47d

Beberoni; What’s up with all the crazy assumptions and voter fraud. You come across like a loose cannon. Nothing but scatter shot.

      • Allan Halbert

Perhaps you’ve heard of Acorn, the poster child of voter fraud?

Here in Oregon we have just had fraud in our gubernatorial election. Conservative votes not being counted in the largest and most liberal county. 24 continuous years of Liberal governors and secretarys of state are driving the process to the web. In other words, you’ll click a box to vote, and the secretary of state will “massage” the data for you. And the gerrymandering has been anything but honest.

        Look ma, no fraud here!

    • Eric Bischoff

Actually the Republicans perfected voter fraud and then attacked Acorn to deflect the attention. Read BBC investigative journalist Greg Pallast.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Yeah buddy, BBC. There is an organization really interested in America first. Why dont you just say something like, “John Kerry says…..”. Its the same thing. Get real.

        • Vigilant

Citing Pallast reveals Eric’s true colors. Pallast is as much of an America-hater as Eric is.

But Eric believes Pallast is “objective.” What a farce!

      • Angel Wannabe

Eric __Acorn offered up them selves on a platter, by helping people finance illegal prostitution rings and BTW__if ACORN were innocent why did most of ACORN offices re brand they’re names such as___
        New England United for Justice
        New York Communities for Change
Alliance of California For Community Empowerment!_-I can go on!

        • Eric Bischoff

They were actually a non profit organization doing good work for the poor.

They were set up by a couple of creeps who were not truthful and the tape was edited and falsified to make them look guilty.

The reality is that the guy who did that was arrested later on another charge of breaking and entry I believe.

But mainstream media ran with it and the damage was done and just like some of you who still think that Saddam had WMDs and that he was involved with 911 you will probably believe this forever.

It does not make it true and the poorest people in America lost in the process.

But hey who care about them!

          • Angel Wannabe

Right Eric, (your words)>> “They were set up by a couple of creeps who were not truthful and the tape was edited and falsified to make them look guilty.”___Acorn did exactly as they would;ve done any other time, ACORN did’nt know they were imposters. And as planned you hide behind the vid was doctored, YOU WISH!!!__” A snake is a snake, even when it’s skin is shed!!!___And ERIC, with all your crazy rants, you ARE so far over the edge, I’d doubt if you’d know the REAL truth of Conservative or Progressive Politics, if it would slap you across the face and you were left to bleed. Your a hopeless case of Progressive insanity. You and your mentors is whats ruining this country!__Find an island somewhere and take your Utopic BS with you!

          • Eric Bischoff

Being an Angel again are you!

          • Angel Wannabe

            Eric__Always!

          • eddie47d

Sounds like Angel is defending that Acorn dude who got caught trying to break into Mary Landrieu’s office. More Watergate behavior and they denied that too.

          • Angel Wannabe

And eddie47d, if you think for one minute your dear Dumocraps haven’t done what Nixon got caught at, you are one can shy of a six-pack!!!

          • michelleo

Eric – you are so full of it you stink come on man….. really????????

          • Vicki

ACORN is a great example. Had it been The Chamber of Commerce the liberals would have hailed the people that caught them on (multiple) videos as new folk heroes. But we learned long ago which are the more obvious hypocrites.

          • Allan Halbert

The did do some legitimate work for the poor. They also committed acts of fraud in at least 14 states, operating on Alinsky tactics.

          • Dave

Does anyone recall watching vehicles leaving the scene as UN investigators entered Iraqi sites – did anyone think that they might possibly have been carrying “WMD’s? We know now that such items can be carried in very small packages, easily transported, and as with the nuclear parts of “dirty bombs” easily attached to conventional weapons for devastating effect.

          • Vigilant

Eric characterizes ACORN as a “non profit organization doing good work for the poor.”

Yes, this taxpayer-supported front organization did such good work for the poor that they successfully agitated for putting millions of people in homes for which they couldn’t possibly pay the mortgage. With willing co-conspirators like Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, the Black Caucus, Franklin Raines and other criminals, they succeeded in precipitating a financial crisis that you wackos blame on the GOP.

          • http://donthaveone Beberoni

For one, under Clinton, the UN inspectors produced a multi page list of Weapons of Mass Destruction that were actually inventoried. Pages of them. So where did they go? Thats easy. They are in Iran, Syria, Jordan, and everywhere else muslims tread. Everywhere. And news to you Eric, these poor people you seem to keep referencing, keep in mind, that 95 percent of them are there of their own means and their own decisions, that its easier for them to accept food stamps, welfare, WIC and other handouts, than it is to get a job and pay a baby sitter to watch all their illigitimate kids. And if you say thats not a problem, your a big fat liar, AGAIN. Its a fact, and its been proven. Im all for helping the poor, but sorry man, some woman with 6 kids by 4 different men, on welfare and food stamps, then gets pregnant with another one, isnt a poor person to me. That is a stupid person, who is looking to take advantage and use children as an excuse to feel sorry for her. And this kind of behavior should not be rewarded by giving her more and more and more. NO. Stop this madness. Millions of people are looking to adopt children, because they cannot have children. These people that multiply like rabbits because they have no morals, should have it understood to them, that before they even get pregnant, that if they cannot afford to take care of these children by themselves, that they will be put into adoption where a loving parent that can afford them will raise them with love and care. This may seem harsh to you, but I have seen what happens generation after generation of children being born to parents that for one cant afford to take care of them, and two, has them just to get more government handouts. These kids are forgotten, and left to roam the streets and form and join gangs, and pretty much compound the problem as they go on having 7 kids with 4 different women, and not paying for any of them. Meanwhile, all us working folks are having more and more and more taken from our checks, to keep giving out these huge and growing government handouts that has become a way of life to some, and it shouldnt be that way. Its time for a change in this behavior, and it isnt going to come by giving them more money for having more kids they cant take care of. That is a fact.

    • Eric Bischoff

Another point being missed is that less than half the population voted. So I would not call it a mandate by a long stretch.

      • (WIA) Wild Indian in Action

Eric —-amp;off, Here’s a mandate, You and eddie69d be extremely polite and go —- yourselves,

        • Angel Wannabe

          WIA___ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!

        • http://donthaveone Beberoni

          It seems they already have.

  • Mike Keller

As I read down to the last, most seem to have good ideals, like Richard, Eric needs to go back to the drawing board and just stay there for a LONG while, and I really do like the arttical DOC, keep us going with the truth, Mike.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Eric is a liberal, and liberals reject the truth, because it is not in them. Sorry, I wish it was, but I dont make the rules. And it seems the first rule of liberalism, is that it is only the truth if you want it to be, regardless of the facts. Liberalism 101.

      • Eric Bischoff

Don’t you ever get tired of just offering up blanket generalities that say absop=lutely nothing and have nothing behind them?

        • Brad

Then Eric, why don’t you believe in the truth, because you need to understand the constitution, declaration of independence and finally the bill of rights and then be able to listen to both sides before jumping off the bridge with half baked ideas.

        • eddie47d

Eric does listen to both sides which is a sadly missing trait amongst most of you.

          • (WIA) Wild Indian in Action

So eddie69d, why don’t you and Eric F%$#off be polite and go do your favorite position and go f&%$ yourselves and spread your misguided BS on Arianna Huffington (Stassinopoulou) post, you know, the one you and Eric enjoy so much.

        • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Its a fact Eric, and just because you dont know the truth and cannot accept the facts, doesnt mean the rest of us cant. Your a dumb liberal. Anyone who sides with liberals are dumb. Well, let me clarify that. In America, anyone who sides with liberals are dumb, because they are allied with anti-American things like George Soros and terrorist nations, and buy terrorists lawyers and such. What I said was true Eric, and you cannot deny it, as actions speak louder than words. Now go away, or open up your mouth and prove my points.

  • Cliffystones

Getting back to Robert Ringer’s original point, it bewilders and disgusts me that there are still people cruising around in their Priuses with their “Obama 08′” bumper stickers intact.

Barry and his minions could walk right in these peoples homes, drop trou and doo-doo on their floors right in front of them and they’d still support him!

And then theres all of those opinion polls. You could ask the following question,

“If you were shot and hit with a hundred rounds from and M-16 point point blank into your chest cavity would you survive?”

There would still be 2-5% percent of people who would answer “not sure”!

    • Angel Wannabe

Cliffystones__ well said__BTW and I don’t get it either!

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

When I see these same bumper stickers, I just look at them and recognize what Ignorance looks like, thats all. It doesnt make them stupid, just ignorant, which means they dont know. And to have voted for him, they just dont know, and they still dont know who he is, where he is from and where he wants to go.

      • Dave

And, sad to say, he’s shilling for the likes of William Ayers and others of his past (read “Obamanation” by Jerome Corsi, the blog in http://www.wnd.com, etc.)

  • james dunn

I AGREE WITH MICHELE BACH. IT IS TIME TO START ONE PROCEEDING AFTER ANOTHER TO REMOVE obama AND HIS THUGS FROM OFFICE. START THE PETITIONS CIRCULATING AND GET IT DONE.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

At the rate they are quitting and fleeing from him, they make take care of the problem themselves. And you know, by 2010, all the dems will throw him under the bus and blame him for everything to save themselves for their re-election bids. That is how the left works you know.

      • Dave

Sad to say also that there are still a few RINO’s around that need to feel the heat, realize that we are aware, taking names and following through from now on – that is the way this Constitutional Republic is supposed to work!!

  • Henry Coxe

Your view is one of the conventional cynic–that can be described as ” everything changes but all remains the same” Therefore the U.S. is nothing more than another civilization that you would –most likely describe–as in the process of decline. It is unfortunate that you (and many) cannot appreciate what America means to the world==If a meteor were to land & destroy the continental U.S. but the world continued the chaos that we know now would be greatly increased. The dream of this nation that draws many (most) of the world’s immigrants, where the common person can become uncommon & the ordinary extraordinary would be lost. Optimism is critical for a good life.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

This is true. However, in much the same way the Greek Empire, the Roman Empire and the Medo-Persian Empires fell, so also shall the American Empire, as we gradually and continually kick God out of society, and if it continues, He will give us over to a lesser enemy. If we fail to learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it.

      • eddie47d

Those Empires worshiped false gods and that had nothing to do with our God. They mostly failed because of relentless expansionism.

        • (WIA) Wild Indian in Action

eddie69d, go back to Eric —- and be polite, you know the rest, right?

          • Angel Wannabe

WIA, Ya gotta give eddie47d and Eric credit where credit is due, they are the biggest Pain in the AZZ’s on here, and they do try to crack us with they’re rhetoric___it just never works!!!

          • eddie47d

Why don’t you come up with a resonable answer Angel because you sure aren’t cutting it now.

    • Vicki

We don’t need a meteor, we got Obamacare.

    • Dave

put another way “without a vision, the people perish.”

  • Teresa

When you have 9 out of 10 news and media stations that are bias it is misleading for the public….so yes, that does make a difference, and yes I will challenge anyone on that. I believe that journalism today has become so bias that it is hard to determine anything w/o doing your own homework which is why everyone needs to do their own research which they lack and rely too much on what they see and read.

    • JRC

And yet, if you only watch the one source you claim is not biased (they all are) and NOT watch others for a offset on the viewpoint and do that with an open neutral point of view you end up as biased as they are.

      • Teresa

did you even read my comment??? did I not state that people need to do their own research instead of relying on the media? This is where the problem stems from? Look at the canidates history and voting records..etc.

        • Jana

          Teresa,
Now Jay Rockefeller wants to shut down Fox News as well as MSNBC. Yep, Communism is working hard on the United States Soil every single day.
Jay Rockefeller needs to be kicked out for those comments.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

I will use my common sense, my research into things, and what I hear on Fox News to form my opinions. You see, the other left wing liberal networks, are on everywhere you go, from the Walmarts and stores, to doctors office, mechanics lobby’s, restaurants, and their views are plastered all over the newspapers, and its so easy to hear and see their propanganda that you need not even watch them. Its the same old playbook, and they havent changed. From time to time I will tune in to check, and still, the same old same old. Even Katie Couric is so predictable. She make a stupid statement, and someone will correct here and set her straight, then you see her a couple days later, saying the same thing to someone else, who lets her get away with it. When youve got an agenda to push, they dont care to hear the truth or expose it, which excuse me, is what I thought the news networks were suppose to do, report the truth. Instead, 95 percent of them just are propaganda networks of the democratic party, and they spread their lies and propaganda around, and its a dirty shame.

        • eddie47d

Quit wallowing in all your own swill for you have deffinetely gone over the edge.

          • (WIA) Wild Indian in Action

eddie69d, did you “fall off” again? Get the polite stick and beat yourself with it, (offensive words removed) If I wanted to read your crap I’d log on to your website, and by the way you and Eric (offensive words removed) should start your own web site and see how many would even bother to read your crap.
As for all of you Patriotic Americans that believe in protecting our Republic and Constitution , PLEASE ignore these Progressive, Liberal Communists they will never represent American Ideals, Principles and Values. Just ignore and don’t bother to respond, they’re not worth your effort, stupid is as stupid does.

          • eddie47d

Do you have anything upstairs WIA for I see none of those values you seem to be bragging about.

    • Dave

      Teresa – RIGHT ON!!

  • mel

It’s a no brainer to me. A very large chunk of people get some sort of help from the govt.they lean toward dems.for them making tax payers pay more taxes is easy.[It's not them].hit them harder they say.Now lets say you are running for office.Your message: Bigger govt.,more stuff for you. So,when asked, like after this last election those who voted for dems said BIGGER GOVT.wow what a supprise.

  • http://LibertAlert JJ

The only way to have a truely informed voting populus is to change the requierment for being able to vote. If you do not pay any taxes and are on some type of Gov sponsored wellfare, you should not be allowed to vote, with the exception of the elderly or disabled. The minimum voting age should be raised to 21.

    • TIME

JJ thats one step in the right direction.

    • http://personalliberty Karen

JJ you are so right about the voting age. I lived in a college town and when the students started registering to vote so many things changed. It has become so expensive to live there with all of the perks those college students voted in that natives are now living outside the county and driving in.

    • Eric Bischoff

Oh here we go the very people who want govt off their back are now going to use govt to keep peopl from voting. Not too obvious.

I say make it easier to vote and that would not be too complicated. And all fellons should be allowed to vote as well.

And I would even lower the voting age to 17.

If you think government has not used the drug laws to incarcerate and keep mostly non white minorities from voting then you are clearly in delusional state.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Oh yeah, here it comes, the race card. So the government made the black kid sell the 30 little bags of crack cocaine to his buddy, just so they could keep him from voting, right? Are you fricking nuts man? That statement alone shows how pathetic and biased your outlook on things is. There is absolutely no truth to this, and it wouldnt amount to nothing in voting numbers, not having felons vote. Gimme a break. What might matter though, is the millions upon million of military votes that the democrats try to make sure dont get counted each election. Somehow, some democrat is in charge of sending out these military ballots, and always, somehow, by a mistake they say, they never get sent out in time to make it back in time, and we have to wait to see if they are needed. Mind you, Mr. Eric Bishoff, when old Al Gore said he had more votes than Bush, that millions of military votes were never ever counted in that election, because Bush didnt need them. I dont have to tell you that over 95 percent of them were for Bush, and we all know it. So grow up man, and quit making stupid racist statements that are not even applicable to your case. Unbelieveable.

        • Eric Bischoff

Beberoni you are the one who is sounding racist and stupid. I bet you can’t back-up any of your claims. You sound like a broken Fox record. Do you have any evidence at all to back-up your diatribe or doesn’t that matter.

It’s not a coincidence that the drug wars started right after civil rights.

          • SiliconDoc

Yeah it’s no coincidence the drug wars started right after Civil Rights.
Sex drug and rock and roll hippies – democrats in other words, hit the streets with their dope and freelove.
They tried at first to hang out and protest in the upscale communities so they could “take it to the man in power”, but were driven away,to the poor sides of town.
There they got away with their antics – since it was coupled with the newly convenient “brotherly love” and they weren’t protesting the residents, they were selling, smoking, and humping them – it infected the black communities with all the dope and crime.
Look in the mirror and thank yourselves !
YOU PEOPLE destroyed those you’d set out to help.

Take a look in the mirror, son.

          • Jana

UH OH, Eric is getting desperate and calling those who disagree with him stupid.
Why don’t you just take your toys and go home?

      • eddie47d

Beberoni is set in his ways and no amount of truth or critical thinking will ever enter his mind. He is a die hard Republican and his mind was set in stone long ago.The more he can demonize the Democrats/progressives the less time he has to spend accepting a different approach to issues. He’s like the caveman with a square wheel and can’t get the cart to move.

  • DaveH

    Robert Ringer,
Excellent article. Kudos to you. Keep ‘em coming.

  • Howard R Gray

Eric Bischoff has it right there are people even more progressive than Obama; he speaks the truth for himself and many others. The single payer system will do as he says; prevent the worst excesses of the Insurance industry, there just won’t be an insurance industry.

The problem with that view point is the nature of government, this is an immutable point, those that govern are fundamentally unable to carry out the simple dictats of operating a bureaucracy free from favour and dishonesty, the common issue in all human endeavors. Private corporations and individuals have the prospect of censure by those who buy their services; there is a discipline that free trade will enforce, not available to those that run governments. Once the government has a monopoly of power there is no incentive to operate morally and it never does. Socialists make the false assumption that once the government runs things all will be well. History teaches us time and again about the limits of government but many never learn the lessons. Doom and repetition are the reality.

The same social forces, human beings, operate the government as run the so called private corporations with the common results unless there is a corrective force in play. Let’s start with the point that the government is a corporation or conglomerate with special privileges allowing it to avoid bankruptcy, it can expropriate funds and jail its subjects who don’t pay up their taxes, ignore or make up the rules to suit itself and so on and so forth. This is the organization that Eric and his progressive cohorts trust. Large private corporations are little better, for a good reason, they co-opt the governing class where it suits them with much the same results as the government on its own. However, what the millenarian socialists don’t get is that the forces of free trade do compel some sense of morality and success in the boardroom or business ceases. There is nothing in socialism that compels moral behaviour they just assume it will be so but it never is.

The government never ceases to trade in favours, large corporations know this and they lobby government to favour their particular niche in the economy. The idea that a single payer system will be better is patently not so, there is no discipline to prevent fraud, queue jumping, and corruption let alone the death panels and other abuses. The present system is awful, that I grant you, perhaps the worst of it is the HMO, but to opine that the single payer system will be better is faith misplaced, a single payer system will be an HMO at its worst simply because it is run by the government. Expecting sweetness and light and a fine health care system under such governance isn’t likely.

Robert Ringer is right there is no mandate for either party. There is however, one side of the political fence that is correct in diagnosing some of the issues. The problem, often fatal to a democracy, is the tendency for the “takers” to outwit the “makers” and rob them of their riches to pay off a political constituency. Social burglary is high on the list for the progressives; all artifices of legerdemain are employed to justify the process of expropriating from those that make to those that take. Yes life is unfair but it does little good to ground your political philosophy on such a principle, it is immoral per se. Originally direct labour was called slavery, it hasn’t gone away, all that has happened is slavery has transmogrified into taxation ensuring that the elites have their wealth come what may. Thus it is no surprise when the progressive mind sees no problem in creating a taker society that is why there are so many of them out there justifying why they need to exist on other people’s dimes. The outcome, if they succeed, is the natural punishment that reality always metes out; inflation, chaos and totalitarian murderous government.

A lesson from history, the French government under the king was dreadful, the Revolution was worse. Robespierre an enlightened man, a true progressive, who did not believe in the death penalty later was to use it in the most heinous manner to govern, before long even he died by the guillotine. Progressive blandishments will gull those that don’t understand the limits of the taker society, those who vote for other people’s wealth to made their own have to understand somewhere in their conscience that it just isn’t quite right. It is the duty of conservatives and libertarians to persuade those people, who can make the transition to a more moral view, which it is worth the effort. There is such a thing as a free lunch, progressives have dined on it for years, but there is also such a thing as famine.

Famine can come in some strange and frightening forms, such as hyper inflation. Robert Ringer is so right about how limited the Republican mandate is, there are still hordes of progressives hell bent on collapsing the dollar in the hope that they can initiate a world currency and the government that goes with it. Floating voters, those without much of a clue how the world works, have the power to initiate changes to end the engines of wealth that have created the power of the United States of America. That is what is at stake. The Tea Party movement needs to be large enough to reduce the number of floating voters by providing them with anchors; by the same token Republican politics as usual won’t do.

      Well stated.

    • Eric Bischoff

I wish I could write as well as you Howard.

A couple of points. I think single payer has already been demonstrated to work much better and a lot more cost efficiently than anything we’ve ever had. There are many models to study. Even the German insurance model works much better than what we have. And since we are starting a new we could try and improve by learning from what the others who have been doing it for a while now.

I also think that we need to decentralize power as much as possible both at the government level and at the business level. The reason why Mondragon works is because it flips a couple of capitalistic premises on their head. Instead of growing by mergers and acquisitions and ending up with too big to fail enterprises, Mondragon voluntartily splits up enterprises as they get big to keep them manageable and more responsible to their local community.

Government needs to be more responsible at the local and state level and needs to be more cooperative between states for the greater good. Centralization for efficiency is one thing but for power it’s not really what we need. If the federal didn’t have so much power it would not and should not be so easily capable to wage wars.

In the areas of finances and the dollar. I don’t claim to have the answers, I only know that there are a lot of very intelligent people out there and we are not taking advantage of all of them. We again are concentrating power into few hands and their limited thinking and methods keep failing us over and over again. I think the fed was a swindle perpetrated on us that has gone on way too long.

We need to open our minds and at least be willing to change or discuss change. We are stuck in a rut and keep making the same mistakes. I am afraid that if we don’t change we could easily go the same way as the USSR and break up into factions. And that would not be a fun time for quite a while. But then again why should the tail wag the dog. Why should a smaller less populated state like Wyoming have the same amount of power in the senate as NY, CA or TX?

      • kilt1iron

        ERIC —

Because that is what our government was set up to PREVENT = the city-dweller masses running roughshod over less populates STATES.

Eric, please repeat for the readers HERE, “the United STATES of America.”

        • Eric Bischoff

Yes yes yes but that was 2 hundred years ago and do you think we should stay the same forever and never try to tweak and improve. Never question whether it’s time to change and modernize. Or are you one that believes that these people were gods and that they were all smarter than us. Do you really think they could predict the size the population, the concentrations?

Before you let your mind run away with flights of fancy. Remember this! Our founding fathers were wealthy white male elites, mostly lawyers and money lenders.

Only a third of the population supported the revolution. The poor soldiers who fought in the revolution, not all volunteers if you know what I mean, were not given a pension or their pay, but the elite officers were. Unable to pay their debts the poor were foreclosed on.

The fathers spoke with forked tongues. First they gave us free speech but then they immediately took it away with the Sedition Act. They gave themselves the power to tax and they used it forcefully.

The small white male minority elite made sure that Blacks, Indians and Women were not part of their All Men Are Created Equal proclamation. In most states even men without property were not allowed to vote.

The rich and powerful federalist white male elite knew that by having a strong centralized federal government they could protect their wealth and property. The American Revolution was just another way for the rich to exercize control over the poor masses. Their tool, the Declaration of Independence was just the rallying cry they needed to get the poor white males to fight for them.

Do you really want to go back to that? Is that the extent of your vision? Is that what you mean by take America back? Is this what you will remain enamored with forever?

          • Vicki

Modernize? Taking away peoples rights is what you do to modernize?
I think I prefer the old ways of freedom and liberty and justice for all.

            Eric Bischoff writes:

Not sure what planet or timeline your from there Eric but in this timeline our forefathers specifically built a federal government with LIMITATIONS so it would not be a strong centralized beast.

Of course if the people and or the representatives do not honor those limitations, all manner of mischief will be afoot.

It is amusing that you would try to imply that you are against a strong central government when you also claim to be a progressive who by definition is all FOR a strong central government.

Oh and thanks for twice in this thread proving me correct about liberals and race.

          • Eric Bischoff

That’s why I resent all simple labels. I am a complicated human being capable of entertaining multiple ideas and thoughts. I am capable of picking and choosing good ideas from different isms.

I am for a smaller government and that can be accomplished by massive efficiency and logic and a hell of a lot less corruption.

What I am against is not extending the helping hand to those who need it. How can you be such self righteous christians with so little compassion.

I am for education and healthcare and proud of it. That is what is needed to make a healthy productive society.

When it comes to cutting government I am sure our ideas will clash

I am against wars. enough already. We need to stop occupying, invading and coveting others resources. We need to stop supporting dictators. We need to stop being the largest sellers of weapons in the world. We are talking Trillions here.

We need to pare down the military industrial complex budget. We spend more on the military than all other nations combined. It’s obscene. No wonder we don’t have any money for anything else. And still a couple of moron criminals with box cutters can get to us and scare us into giving up our constutional freedoms and rights.

We need to put an end to the super expensive for profit private mercenary soldiers. Who ever dreamed that up should be strung up in the town square.

We need to close the 1000 bases all over the world. How would you like it if the chinese decided to open a base in Kansas to start protecting their national interest?

We need to stop subsidizing big oil, coal and nuclear. It;’s simple, if it pollutes and it’s dangerous you pay for it if you want it.

We need to stop subsidizing corn and soy which is largely responsible for cheap fast food, processed foods and diabetes. If the government was connecting the dots and paying for health care they would quickly figure this one out.

We need to stop subsidizing any and all industries that are shipping jobs overseas chasing the cheapest labor with the most lax environmental laws so that they can pollute at will.

We could go on it’s not that complicated.

But where I have a problem with a lot of you is when you take the easy way out and take it out on the poor defenseless. You want to cut the smallest portion that will hurt the most people.

Take care of all of the crap above first and let’s see how the budget looks then.

          • Eric Bischoff

I have to agree. I do want to eliminate as much spending as possible and still have a country. I want to cut taxes as much as possible to eliminate the money for Congress to spend. Actually, I’d like to eliminate full time pay for Congress – let them come in every two years for a couple of months to handle only the real needs and not give them time to come up with more ways to spend or tax.

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Now there is a good idea. Make it a part time job with no benefits, so we wont have to worry about them wriggling around to get themselves all these deals from special interest groups. And then they also might be truly concerned about this health care thing, if it affects them also.

a lot of the people i know who voted democrat did so because they see the republican party as being for big business. unfortunately, that has been the case for far too long. also unfortunate is the fact that the dems are too. we really need to get rid of lobbyists who buy votes and set term limits so none of our reps are tempted by big campaign donations to do the wrong thing for america.

  • Linbouf

Your theory that “slightly less than half of the voters” cast votes for spending, taxation, and more regulation is not true. I have some friends who are what is called “die hard democrats”. It wouldn’t matter if Hitler were running on the Democratic ticket, they would cast a vote for Democrats. So, in factoring that in, there would be far less people actually voting FOR more spending, more taxation (who could be for that?), and more government regulation. They just vote Democratic no matter what. So how many people actually WANT more taxation, spending, big government? Far less than slightly half!

Socialism/Communism only works if you have a slave class that does most if not all of the work so the elite can enjoy the rewards of production.

The 50% or so of voters wanting the progressive agenda pretty much equals the 50% number of people that do not pay any taxes but get goverment entitlements. Basically the dirtbags want to make slaves of the working class using the goverment, making politicians more powerfull. A flat tax system would go a long way to ridding America of this type of flimflam.

Maybe when we have slave class robots doing all the work, so everyone can enjoy the production, socialism may work, maybe. Until we get the robot slave class, socialism and communism are and will continue to be profound failures.

What is all this crap about abortion? Does anybody realize it takes TWO to create a baby. NOTHING but nothing is done to the guy that caused the pregnancy. They are not forced to supposrt this child. LOOK at the welfare logs.. 50% of the children of single parents are on welfare. What does that tell you. WE the working force support the lazy mens children because they will not support the child they created. Yet they bitch about how bad abortion is. Now I do not favor abortion but I am sick an tired of the government & men coming againt a woman that gets an abortion cause she does not want to have to deal with the irreponsility of the man that fathered the fetus! IF you want to stop abortion MAKE the MAN take reponsibilty or go to prison. HE is as much at fault as any woman. IF she gets abortion its his fault for NOT using proper protection and he is committing murder just as much as she is!

    • Angel Wannabe

Barleywheats , If ya wanna stop abortion, heres’ something new__ how about the woman not being so damn lazy and get her duff & either learn to control her emotions(abstain) or do what the rest of do, take precautions (birth control). It takes two to tango!!!__Government ousted Daddy a long time ago__and Made it pratically free for single woman to have a baby!__WIC & WElFARE_____BLAME THE GOVERNMENT & THEY’RE ENTITLEMENTS! Then when the men don’t pay support, they slap theyre azz’s in jail, and then expect them to come up with the money for support while they’re jailed(They sure as heck can’t work while they’re in there can they?)___Now that makes one hell-of-a-lotta sense, doesn’t it???

I am confronting you folks. You all worship Sarah.Sara is a great cheerleader.Nothing more. Not Presidential material, not in a mil years. Her “town” that Repubs claim was 16,000 is far smaller than that.My town claimed 16,000 and was fourth ranking Alaskan town.Reality:Only 16000during tourist season with huge influx of temp workers.Yearround residents more like 7-8,000.Sarah’s situation about the same.Total pop,5 mil or undr, scattered over a state THREE times bigger than Texas. Most of state outside of a few towns, Native villages. She interacted with a handful of political families. Then she did not even finish her term.In a typical midwest, eastern or western state there are many, many people in a given area, lots of interaction with all kinds of people. In Ill,skipping Cook co(Chicago)one county alone has many times the population of Alaska. She is TOTALLY INEXPERIENCED.She can spout jargon but has no indepth understanding.Your ranks are swollen with the neo nazi’s,kkk and others who on thier websites openly admit this.Bush left office just as the crash economically began.Greenspan advisor to many Prez for the last 40 years admits he does not know what to do.AND ALL YOU DO IS IMMEDIATELY DEMAND GRATIFICATION FROM THE NEW PRESIDENT. Special interests (Big pharma, oil, mining)fund many of the so called “heritage” groups that conviently rewrite history to reflect WASP values.Fact is that Thomas Jefferson right from the start proposed a progressive tax, and advocated avoiding the greed of the few from neglecting the poor. Are you guys so shallow that you think the errors of mostly Republican warspending can be turned around in seconds under a new Administration? It took a while to get this messed up and it will take a while to get out.
Spending, government spending! Oh my how you all yell that! Yes, let’s cut government spending, and since we outspend all other nations on earth in military, I suggest we start there.Big defense contracts get handed out like candy with no real accountability. Billions down a rathole to industrialists that DOUBLE BILL THE GOVERNMENT.Yet these same corporations get small fines for overcharging and then rewarded with more multibillion dollar contracts. Some one is getting oh so rich, while our kids in the service get less and less V.A benefits, no bullitproof vests, poor equipment. Why are we using mercenaries and not enlisted men?Complaints from Iraq detail waste and fraud on insider dealers for Blackwater, while our boys got less pay, less equipment. Give me a break. Warmongering is big business for some, and all they have to do is wave the flag, shout Bible and country to manipulate masses of folks. Do your homework. There is no advocay for stealing land from folks, voting Repub or Democrat, or for bringing democracy to people who don’t want it and aren’t ready for it in the first place. These are all political ideas that monarchs, and politicians grafted unto the Bible. There is nothing religous about it.
As far as your “heritage” goes, this country was stolen from Native Americans, who continue to be mistreated, built on the labour of Black slaves, Chinese railroad workers, and Mexican crop pickers. How come I see nothing regarding them in your speil?Even if you think Euros and Christian values are the main thme, what is it now?
After centuries of immigration America is multicultural, and diverse.
We have many religions , and many races in our country. Multicultural is what we are and have always been, ever since we let in all those immigrants from Sweden, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, England, Italy and so on. Diversity gives us our strength not our weakness.
We have the right to choose our religion and not have it forced on us as in prior Monarchies, Dictatorships and so on.Why would some of you blur the seperation of Church and State? That is what people came heree to escape.
There is no official religion, nor should there be.You are free to believe anything you want no matter how nutty. And let it be known that cultish groups claiming to be Christian abound.Just because someone claims it does not mean it claims them.
Nazis claimed to be Christian, as do the KKK.
Get real. Our jobs got given away in the so called “fair trade agreement” part of a move to bust unions.Rich got out of taxes pushing it on the backs of the middleclass. As far as claims that Republicans represent business, they sure do: Big Oil,Big multinationals, Big Pharma, Big mining. Small and middleclass businesses are not who they represent. Without jobs at home Americans will not be able to purchase goods and services locally. Local businesses will find themselves competing with slave labour and bizs that can legally pollute(Bush adminisstration).
Beyond a shadow of a doubt GWBush was the worse President we have had, but in general the misguided Republicans have shot themselves in the foot.

the only way out of this mess is a total revision of the governemnt, trading power heads every few years is getting us nothing. the demo politicians have built a power base with the minority class and refused to stop the illegal emigration, so there is part of that 40% and a big part.
the unions and greed have driven our manufacturing out of the country and i doubt we have sufficient employment for the amount of people residing here. politicians and our justice dept will not correct the fraud at the voting precinct and they continue to hire more federal workers. this continues to get worse every year and they soon will have the country where they want it with everyone bowing to the federal govt.
i keep repeating; look at california, look who the people vote in office, jerry brown, pelosi, boxer, feinstien and check out the fed politicians; waxman, lewis, stark just for a few. these people are about anti every thing conservatives believe in.
it is time to draw the line and it will be up to the average citizen to correct this and it may take your life to do so. our founding fathers gave theirs.

Good article. A couple of addenda touched upon by the likes of Chas and Mel.

“Razor-thin margins and essentially still a 50:50 split in the voting population” Duh… with ~50 million people on welfare in some form or another and 55-60% of the Dem party saying “Socialism is a good thing” it’s amazing we haven’t been swamped.

“If there are no consequences to criminal activity in government, felonious politicians (redundant… I know) have no incentive to change their ways”. Bubba EMPHATICALLY proved there are no longer ANY consequences. He (Dems condoning bad behavior) set common law back to the Magna Carta.

Most of you are wrong again. People did not turn out & rejected Obama because he failed to deliver the change he promised. Examples: (1) Americans(polling showed) wanted health reform for which they got a bill that short changed them. The same things that Republicans did with their drug bill when they last controlled. (2) Obama supporters wanted out of Iraq & Afghanistan another demo failure (3) Americans wanted economic help & a new deal type program was good with Obama type supporters. They did not get that either. They wanted an end to NAFTA & its clones to restore American Jobs. Americans want an end to Repressive laws. (4) They wanted real economic reform & got instead a bank bail out & no real mortgage reform from demos. Republicans & Ne-cons including the Tea Party will not deliver on any of these popular ideas. Remember polling of the American Electorate shows the public has a low opinion of all of you.

Let me cut to the chase. The recent election was about Conservatism vs. Liberalism. The battle lines have been drawn. The choices are crystal clear. 1. Does America want to pursue the progressive/ liberal/statist path envoking womb to tomb government intervention with all it’s negative scenarios for “We the People”, while the elite lawyers club in Washington (Congress)lives high on the People’s dime, while pretending to do the business of the People?
    2. Or do we want to continue perfecting the Conservative plan that was given from the Creator through our founding fathers not so long ago, that has propelled us to being the benchmark of the world among Governments.
Conservatism will never get along with liberal statism, the two are like oil and water. Therefore at this juncture we can never cross the aisle to compromise with the fallacious and destructive agenda of the leftists. The battle and argument is which philosophy is righteous and equitable for Americans. Conservatism wins that battle and argument hands down.
Gridlock will serve it’s purpose temporarily, but the agenda espoused by the George Soros ilk and statist global government proponents must be crushed going forward.
These idiots are tinkering with what the Creator has established and will be crushed by the very plan they despise. “What God hath established, no man can put asunder”. These people mistakenly think they can engineer a utopia in this jurisdiction, in denial of the fact that man is imperfect and fallible. Hitler, Stalin, Caesar, and many more have failed.
Get with the program you statist/progressive fools, history has proven your plan to be unequitable through eons . . . it’s not about you, it’s about the Creator and if we are protecting what has been given to us through our founders co-operation with the Creator. America was founded on these principles, and if you don’t believe in a Creator that’s OK because the Creator plan accommodates such beliefs, but you will not institute your statist plan while the majority believe Creation to be the more equitable plan.
The statists have only awoken a sleeping giant that is just starting to realize it’s own power. The majority of Americans do not wish to go where the liberal progressive statist mindset wishes to take us.

Very Good Point! The Lines are drawn, and quite a few people can see those lines, but theres a problem. Its kind of frightening in a way…..each side has 2-3 groups within their own side…
You have the Marxist/Bolchevicks and within them the hard core Marxist who know exactly what they are doing, the dumb do-gooders who are oblivious to the evil side and then there are the Marxixt zombies, totally braindead ready to march off a cliff to prove they are right.
Within the Conservative side you have the hardCore patriotic Constitutionalists, the middle who believe that big Govt is bad but Love the republicans just because theyre not democrats, and then there are the Neo Cons who Pledge allegience, to God & country while wiping their arse with the Constitution…

      Whats in Your wallet? LOL

      • Rich

The TEA party and true Conservatives are replacing the RINOs and neocons. When the going gets tough the RINOs and neocons will not know what to do, they will fade away like fake imposters always do.
They will come running to the real deal Conservatives who always know what to do in times of peril. I speak of the Conservatives who told King George to take a flying F–k for himself back in 1776.

        • Eric Bischoff

Actually they were progressives! But hey go ahead and grab the moniker if you need it so bad.

          • Vicki

Eric Bischoff says the founding fathers were progressives.
Based on the definitions at the time of founding – Unable to validate.
Based on the current definition – false.
            http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressivism

            Progressives want government to control
            Founding fathers wanted government controlled.

Thus I assert that Erics claim is, ipso facto, FALSE.

(I’d provide another link but I am allowed only 1 per post )

          • Eric Bischoff

Progressives and Progressivism is not the same Vicki.
            Wrong again.

          • Jana

Well ERIC, If you are an example of a Progressive then I say YUCK and PHOOEY.
You are so blind to the truth and I truly feel sorry for you.

          • Vicki

finding a definition for “a progressive” that is separate from progressivism is tricky but I did find this opinion on the huffington post.

            http://www.huffingtonpost.com/david-sirota/whats-the-difference-betw_b_9140.html
“there is a fundamental difference when it comes to core economic issues. It seems to me that traditional “liberals” in our current parlance are those who focus on using taxpayer money to help better society. A “progressive” are those who focus on using government power to make large institutions play by a set of rules.”

Now careful analysis of language (Remember Erics NLP background) you could say that the founding fathers were “progressives” and if Eric and others of his beliefs would kindly do as our forefathers recommended we would find ourselves to be allies. Those RULES were carefully stated in the Constitution of the United States of America.

Now if we remember Erics typical post as to what rules he wants (notice that despite being asked he never did give a list or even 1 example) we find that his philosophy closely matches this from the same link above.

“To put it in more concrete terms – a liberal solution to some of our current problems with high energy costs would be to increase funding for programs like the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). A more “progressive” solution would be to increase LIHEAP but also crack down on price gouging and pass laws better-regulating the oil industry’s profiteering and market manipulation tactics. ”

Of course progressives are often liberals and Eric has already claimed to be that.

You will notice the common thread of control in all that they do. Now control is what we are about too. The difference is WHAT we want to control and how. We want to control government to keep it small and our servant. We want to control business by free market pressure of customers buying what the customer wants instead of what the government wants.

The failure mode of progressive plan is, of course, the very lobbyists liberals complain about. When government controls those “evil” corporations, the people that make up those corporations have a strong incentive to buy off the politician for their particular corporation or industry.

And lastly if you look at the definition of progressivism which eric claims does not represent him you will see
“Progressivism is a political attitude favoring or advocating changes or reform through governmental action.”

If it walks like a mallard, talks like a mallard….

          • Vicki

            Eric Bischoff says:
“Progressives and Progressivism is not the same Vicki.
            Wrong again.”

Don’t be silly. Of course they are not the same.

            Progressives are people. Like you.
Progressivism is an attitude of Progressives.

            Obviously not the same.

          • Eric Bischoff

Nice post Vicki, you have my attention.

Progressivism is a political attitude favoring or advocating changes or reform through governmental action. Progressivism is often viewed in opposition to conservative or reactionary ideologies. The Progressive Movement began in cities with settlement workers and reformers who were interested in helping those facing harsh conditions at home and at work. The reformers spoke out about the need for laws regulating tenement housing and child labor. They also called for better working conditions for women.

In the United States, the term progressivism emerged in the late 19th century into the 20th century in reference to a more general response to the vast changes brought by industrialization: an alternative to both the traditional conservative response to social and economic issues and to the various more radical streams of socialism and anarchism which opposed them. Political parties, such as the Progressive Party, organized at the start of the 20th century, and progressivism made great strides under American presidents Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and Lyndon Baines Johnson [1].
Despite being associated with left-wing politics in the United States and Canada, the term “progressive” has occasionally been used by groups not particularly left-wing. The Progressive Democrats in the Republic of Ireland took the name “progressivism” despite being considered centre-right or classical liberal. The European Progressive Democrats was a mainly heterogeneous political group in the European Union. For most of the period from 1942–2003, the largest conservative party in Canada was the Progressive Conservative Party.

Being Progressive can simply mean favoring or promoting change or innovation.

Being Liberal is merely having an open mind.

I will gladly call myself liberal and progressive and some times conservative as well as in I believe in living within our means.

I refuse to associate with any groups, parties, religions or anything that turns it into an ism as it turns into a strict ideology and people quickly lose their open mindedness. And then all they want to do is hold on to their precious thoughts and ideas and they will start wars over them.

I would rather remain fluid as I believe that there is something to be learned from all.

What I can’t understand is how some people can be so close minded when there is so much to choose from and such a vast amount of knowledge and history to learn from. I believe in modeling the best ideas regardless of where they come from.

  • chuckb

rich, i disagree, the majority of the people do want to go where the liberal left is headed. the majority are looking for a handout. the progressive’s will hand them something, then the next time they reach here comes the handcuff’s. there’s no sleeping giant he is wide awake and standing in the welfare line: gov’t and state jobs, free medical (so they think) open borders and everybody gets to vote, citizen or not, if you can’t read they will pull the handle for you.
they keep the populace busy trying to figure out the legal meaning in some of their legislation that most attorneys can’t figure out.
we either stop it now or it’s all over, waiting for change is what they want, when the wait is over it’s too late.

    • Rich

I don’t mean any disrespect, but how do you square the fact that statistics show 41% of the Nation claims to be Conservative while only 22% are Liberal, with Independents and non-voters making up the difference? And how long do you think the handouts can continue before the house of cards crumbles? Where do you get your info from? You’ll have to show me with fact that the majority of Americans want a handout. I’m not waiting for change, I want to stop it now. Conservatives will be defunding every bad idea that has come down the pike from the current Congress. That’s what this new Congress is all about STOPPING IT NOW!

      • chuckb

rich, the house has already tumbled due to the welfare grab and that includes bailing out the banks and auto industry. your statistics showing the percentage of conservative is by polling so i wouldn’t get to enthralled about that. look at the narrow margins won by conservatives that’s what concerns me, after all that barry has done to destroy this country and there’s still that many that will vote for the liberals, we should be more than scared.
are you expecting the likes of mconnell and boehner to lead this country back, they will revert right back to where they were, rino’s, they will throw a few tid bits to the peasants then join their liberal friends for a drink and compromise. sorry to be so negative, i’ve seen too many republicans over the years turn on us.

  • Wim Vonk

I find it frightening that Americans are trotting out this word Marxist everytime they talk about the Obama administration. It is quite obviousely a scare tactic to rouse up an unsuspecting public who unfortunenatley are easily brainwashed. I have heard people in the States call public funded health a marxists thing. That then would make all of Western European States, as well as Canada, New Zealand and Australia Marxist.

What ridiculous nonsense. The U.S. is going to have to improve the standard of its education, before we can count on intelligent choices being made. The advent of someone like Palin just scares the living daylights out of many.

    • Bitter Libertarian

It it WAS NOT MANDATORY it wouldnt be MARXIST!

It would simply be another foolish program. But its another legalized Plunder system. If you knew your history, you would know that anytime the Govt forces a social program its a Marxist program!
What are the 10 Pillars of Marx/Communism? Look that up and tell we who call Obummer a marxixt/communist and any other politician from either side of the Isle who votes YES on a FORCED program is such!

NO NO most of us democrats do not want to increase taxes and spending , We voted republican becuse we want to stop buying the auto cos , bailing out highclassed insurance cos . That pay thier failing managers million dollar bonuses . we want to stop financing lucrative pensions and 100% healthcare for a special chosen few , We dont want to bailout big rich banks that bought poor paper . We dont want to cut social security or medicare very much , As a matter of fact we think medicare for evreyone would lower healthcare costs all the way around considerabley . nor do we want to throw the unfortunate welfare recipitate into the street with nothing to eat . like some of the old fashion conservatives recommend . We joined the tea party becuase they seemed to talk about paying for what we buy and generally made sense . Which is not something the democrats or war party have been doing for a long long time . We simply want different people to choose for us what they think is most important for us to buy or even sell .

    • STEVEN MORRISON

So saving General Motors was a bad idea? We saved millions of jobs and now the US Government is about to get it’s money back, with interest!!! One of the most important accomplishments of President Obama’s leadership.

I doubt seriously we are getting our money’s worth with that one. All we did was help the unions – -AGAIN.
They have been forgiven a huge chunk of what they (and I say this laughingly) borrowed.
If they would have been allowed to fail it would have been much better. They would have started over, they would have been wiser, they would have been even better, and the unions would have been left high and dry.
Look at Ford. They DID NOT take any bail out money and they made it.

Obviously, Democrats didn’t get the message on November 2, which is to find their way back to the heart of America and its values. If they aren’t careful, Pelosi’s party will be in for more downsizing. “[Democrats] didn’t listen,” said Rep. Ted Poe (R-Texas) “and a hurricane named the American people blew through town. And it was a Category 5 with 63 electoral casualties.” Meanwhile, Republicans are enjoying the winning side–for now. But their only chance for holding on to the majority is not to focus on keeping it, but rather using it to return government back to its constitutional limits and America to its founding principles.              Tony Perkins.   Family Research Council

Here here FedUp, a toast to you and all who think like ya! You’re a man after me own heart!

    • STEVEN MORRISON

Did “founding principles” include lobbyist run government? You want to take us back before the 14th and 17th amendments? You want to “take us back” before child labor laws and before women had the right to vote? Be thankful we had a Congress (the past two years) which actually worked for the American people, and with such dramatic change of course many lost their seats (like what happened after Medicare was passed).

You are so correct Mike. The left does not look to Obama very kindly, for not delivering what he campaigned on.He failed to put his win into action. Even with the left being shaky on Obama he is still far more popular than the Republicans in Congress. I’ve seen Obama 43-49% and Republicans in Congress 13-18%.That’s a long bridge to cross over.

    • Warrior

Sorry eddie, the important events happened in the state elections where the other party cleaned up. Only a few blue states left to play the gerrymandering game. I predict Hillary will be the nominee once barry pulls his LBJ.

  • Richard M

If we had ‘fair’ elections, there wouldn’t be a 40% margin in favor of the Left. I.e., Murkowski. Look at the shenanigans that went on there in Alaska. Look at the RINOs who lost to their opponents, and would not support the winning Repub. on the ticket. Yes, thank God for Michelle Bachmann. We can only hope and pray that there will be investigations into these Commies that have infiltrated our country. They’ve had a long time to do this, so I suspect it will take a long time to put these bastards on trial, and get some convictions. God help us all.

    • STEVEN MORRISON

Yes Richard M Nixon, God help us all. Michelllle Backmann is today’s Joseph McCarthy. When we realize the party of NO cannot govern we will be even madder, and President Obama will win another landside in 2012.

  • Uncle Buck

I did not vote for a republican because I like what the republicans represent (RINO), I voted for a republlican because I do not like what the democrats have done.

I will continue to vote AGAINST any politician, at any level of government, who does not follow through on his/her promise to reduce government and reduce government spending.

    • STEVEN MORRISON

Uncle Buck, Guess what President Obama has already given you a tax cut, and his Health care reform will save this country billions in the next decade. He wants to save billions more by not give tax cuts to millionaries and billionaires. Suspect he has your vote in 2012. He has mine.

      • Uncle Buck

        Steve,
Obama has not, nor has any politician, “Given me” a tax cut. They may allow me to keep a little more of my own money in the guise of cutting taxes, but when they collect it through fees and other non-sense…

Obamacare? What a joke. That is why I know he can expect my help in 2012… I will be trying to help send him home to Chicago.

I really do hope you were joking. But then you do not know who we had running here in Missouri. The republicans were the lesser of the evils.

  • JeffH

During a small, “private” meeting of the Democracy Alliance Tuesday afternoon, Soros reportedly told the well-funded, progressive-minded crowd that the Obama administration might not be their best investment: According to multiple sources with knowledge of his remarks, Soros told those in attendance that he is “used to fighting losing battles but doesn’t like to lose without fighting.”

“We have just lost this election, we need to draw a line,” he said, according to several Democratic sources. “And if this president can’t do what we need, it is time to start looking somewhere else.”

Soros is a financial genius !! He is threatening to “fire” Prez Obama…. That’s just the way it is. You got these super rich evil geniuses – like out of a comic book – who can make or break and hire and fire politicians !

The Republicans got fired 4 years ago in Congress. Them rich Wall Street folk fired them – and then hired the Democrats !. It was a good business decision for all of them.

Now they are firing the Democrats (they were just being used) and rehiring the Republicans. But they don’t want to rehire all the Repubs – that’s why the Dems still have the Senate.

The Tea Party is a wild element in the Repub Party that they can’t totally buy off. Every man and woman has a price though (?) .. HA HA !

edee, you had better stop down and see the IHS medicine man, for your issues. When you and the liberal socialists claim the reps, are the start of voter fraud, you must have just read a 3 page coloring book on the history of the National Marxist Communist Democrat Union Party for mental idoits. The forerunner of the socialist corrupt democrat party, The Tamminy Hall organization blew up Post Offices to steal ballot boxes, used their union thugs to beat and kill people who pointed out the corruption of Tamminy Hall. These New York methods are still in vogue in Minnesota and Nevada, with the Seiu illegals voting over and over. This is standard MO on the Indian reservations every election. Corruption of the democrat party of transporting “members all around the rezs to vote in any zone they can, facts by polling watchers on 4 reservations over several elections. The other draw for these idoits, is a free roasted dog” it is fat free, little stringy, nut better than a praire dog, and organic” feast and a gallon of White Port or Mad Dog 20/20, and a cordinated free ride to all polls.. All organized by the socialist democrat party and a California “wanna be” squaw. Since I see the rep. are racist comments, being pushed by socialists. But it is OK for Congressional Budget Bills to send millions marked, as money for Indian Country funding. Now if it funding for road projects marked as white man’s funding, the crap from any f–k up PCed democrat moron from Onumnutts to Rangel or Chuck U. Schumer would mess their dresses. Same goes for LaRaza, or Numskull Anal A$$wipes of Crimminal Perverts, all get taxpayers money, except if the White Lions asked for funding to build a school for all kids. They would be jailed for causing strife discourd, by the DOJ and the “If you a Black give the Whites a whack” Holder. Democrats have always disintered thousands of dead voters every election. These socialist crooks always have and always will. That is why voter and any photo ID presentations at voting polls is fought by the NMCDUP!

  • Barney Murrell

Some one once said that you could not go broke betting on the ignorance of the American people. And most of the comments on Personal Liberty Digest prove the validity of that paraphrase. For example:

    1979 – 2007 Income Changes

Conservative Republican plutocrats have most of the wealth and income but continue to demand physical (military) and economic sacrifices from the lower 80 percent of taxpayers.

Between 1979 and 2007 (Reagan and GW Bush) taxpayer income changed per Congressional Budget Office Data as follows:

    * Income of the wealthiest top 1 percent increased from 9.3 to 19.4 percent of all income
    * Income of the top 20 percent increased from 45.5 to 55.9 percent
    * The bottom 80 percent’s share of all U.S. income went down
*And the national debt increased to $10+ trillion.

Also, for another example, see “Wealth Disparities in U.S. Approaching 1920s Levels,” http://seekingalpha.com/article/189649-wealth-disparities-in-u-s-approaching-1920s-levels?source=article_sb_popular.

And IRS data, “The 400 Individual Income Tax Returns Reporting Highest AGI… 1992-2007,” http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-soi/07intop400.pdf.

So conservatives, get ready for more “sacrifices” because “YOU VOTED FOR IT.”

    1989 – 2004 Who has the Wealth

Conservative Republican plutocrats must be laughing over their Dom Perignon as they devise new ways to get the gold while giving average blue-collar conservative Republicans, who voted to allow it, the shaft.

Between 1989 and 2004 the following Federal Reserve Board bulletin, “Changes in distribution of wealth 1989-2004 (FRB) p11, p29-30,” (http://www.federalreserve.gov/pubs/oss/oss2/papers/concentration.2004.5.pdf)
reports that American wealth was divided, and changed, as follows:

    (0) Bottom 50% have 2.5% of U.S. net worth (-.05%)
    (1) Top 1% own 29.5% of all assets (+2.4)
    (1) Top 10% own 63.1% of all assets (+1.1)
    (2) Top 1% own 70.2% of all bonds (+18.4)
    (2) Top 10% own 97% of all bonds (+5.1)
    (3) Top 1% own 50.9% of all stocks (+9.6)
    (3) Top 10% have 89.2% of all stocks (+6.4)
    (4) Top 1% own 62.3% of all business (+8.8)
    (4) Top 10% own 90.4% of all business (-0.4)
    (5) Bottom 90% owe 72.8% of all debt (-2.1)

So conservatives, get ready for more “shaft” because “YOU VOTED FOR IT.”

    • Viktor Leben

      Barney,

I always say “He who has the Technology and understands it (and can repair it) makes all the rules !!” .

Those “plutocrats” can’t understand Tech to well. Pretty soon we won’t need these “planners” because everyone will have access to an A.I. (artificial intelligence) to help them plan their lives.

These “plutocrats” are to stupid to even change a flat tire !…. To much inbreeding.

  • Viktor Leben

The Tortoise definitely makes an awesome point when He wrote :

“And let’s not forget Representative Michele Bachmann’s (R-Minn.) main focus: “I think that all we should do is issue subpoenas and have one hearing after another, and expose all the nonsense that has gone on.” As I have previously written, I interpret her word nonsense to be a euphemism for blatant criminal activity.”

  • James A. Fenton

This below is meant to be a bit of an educational tour of facts and actions for individual contemplation in the face of current national unease – for some, even panic!

The posts above are an interesting read but much too much ado about nothing without more understanding of facts. Studies tell us a very high percentage of the voting public votes without thought other than: “I’m a democrat or I’m a republican and that’s the way I will vote.” And in fact, that has had a devastating effect on our nation. We must have an informed voting public when in fact, for over 100 years, that privilege has been gradually and quietly deprived of us. (More on this later)

For the record, for this time in history, Michele Bachman has made one great proposal I would modify slightly: Every person working in the White House and on Capitol Hill – should be made to undergo a stringent no holds barred audit. That done, most of the vermin in Washington would be gone – not a bad idea in state and local government as well.

I believe there should be one language mandated to engage in any form of communication, commerce or jobs, and no modification of that mandate for any reason. In the public square, one language should be practiced/spoken, and only in the home revert to a native language.
This practice would have other practical ramifications in this dangerous global world confusion.

Because of terrorist dangers, I believe all mosques should be searched by elite forces of the Army, Navy, and Marines specifically trained to enter all mosques simultaneously on a given signal all over the US – trained to enter for peaceful respectful inspection, but prepared for any untoward event.

Let’s take an inventory of what too few have understood since 1910 – not that everything was ‘rosy’ prior to that time. In fact, three failed central banking attempts along with private banking corruption “greased the slide” so to speak for what came about in the winter of 1910.

Seven scurrilous elitist financiers met in secret, bent only for their own personal aggrandizement on Jekyll Island to plot the future of all financial transactions throughout the world. On this space, I would only do injustice to what is detailed so perfectly by G. Edward Griffin in his tome: “The Creature from Jekyll Island.” Thus, I will only briefly single out a few important subjects of the Jekyll Island meetings and what Mr. Griffin would provide for your edification in a book that should be required reading for every American patriot.

These are a few of the facts the reader should know happened on Jekyll Island, Georgia during the Congressional recess in the winter of 1910:
    1) Preparation for the buy-out of the media – successful in its
secrecy from 1910 right up to the present.
    2) Dumbing down of our educational system
    3) Planning of the transfer of our industrial complex over seas.
    4) Foreign take-over of the agricultural industry.
    5) Planning for a vanishing middle class.
    6) Planning for the building of a New World Order
    7) Planning for our military take-over by the UN. Already some of YOUR military and mine is under UN command – and that is offensive to this WWII Marine.

My item treatment of this subject is a poor attempt in the importance of the very subjects everyone should be learning in total. And this is in no way a treatment of anything other than to suggest these topics are beautifully covered in a book you will not want to put down. It “reads like a ‘who-dun-it’ – and YOU should read it! Also, a must read is Dr. Jerome Corsi’s book: “The Late Great U.S.A.” which could very well become the epitaph for our once great nation if we fail in our mission to turn this nation back to the founder’s definition of a Christian nation. Pray for that to happen. We are a Christian nation, mr. obama. And, don’t your forget it!!!!!!!

    • STEVEN MORRISON

Mr. Fenton, no where in the Constitution does it state “we are a Christian nation.” In fact most of the framers of the Constitution were dietists. We are a pluralistic nation made up of many faiths and persons of no faith. Yes many of us are in fact Christians, as is our President. As Christians, we are to treat others as we would expect to be treated. We should be respectful of all persons, including Muslims. Muslims have a right to build their places of worship where ever they wish within local building codes, as do Christians. Michelle Bachmann is today’s Joseph McCarthy. History repeats. And we need to pay our United Nations dues in full!

      • Denniso

The rightwing christians are easily confused…they think that since christians are in the majority it then follows that we are therefore a christian nation. It doesn’t matter to them that we have many other religions and many w/ no religion, they can’t understand that a majority doesn’t mean everyone. Now, it’s also true that they would like to force our country to be a christian nation and if they could they would run everyone else out…they naively believe that their purpose on earth is to convert everyone to their particular brand of religion.

What is ironic about their pursuit is that no two christian religions can get along or agree on what christianity even means.

        • Eric Bischoff

I’ll generalise even more. They would probably like it even more if it was only a white male christian nation.

          • Denniso

Certainly a white nation would please most of them, though thankfully not all of them would be that dumb, and they do like their Barbies, like Palin and O’Donnell.

        • Jana

          Denniso,
For someone who is so against God, you sure talk about Him and Christians a lot. Sure sounds like God must be on your mind an awful lot. Hmmmm.

          • Denniso

You’ve been here a while,so you know that I respond to the ridiculous comments concerning people’s view of how their God will come along and do what they think needs to be done politically in this country. I was raised Catholic and grew beyond it by the 9th grade. If there is any God at all,it is clearly not a God that cares to be involved in petty human squabbles or make itself available to us, so for all practical purposes,it doesn’t exist. People want to believe in myth that’s fine, but they discuss their silly ideas about God in public, then I and others respond and try to inject some sense.

          • libertytrain

Denniso – there goes your ego again – so large, so self-righteous.

          • Denniso

It’s not ego that wants to challenge ignorance and harmful lying. If ignorant people don’t want to take the time to learn and all they do is smear and lie about others in public, then they have opened themselves to legitimate criticism.

  • James A. Fenton

Print what I wrote. It is fresh to most everyone because few who post here have studied the realities of the plight of America today!

    • Viktor Leben

      James A Fenton,

Have you ever read “The Day After Roswell” by Phillip J Corso ? That sure was a good read also !!!

  • STEVEN MORRISON

    http://whattheheckhasobamadonesofar.com/

need I say more? He’s done a heck of a lot. What the party of NO try to govern. Boner even wants to get rid of the ethics committee….

    • Viktor Leben

      Comrade Morrison,

      I checked out the website.

Here is what Obama and the Democrats have done — with some help from the Republicans …

I am unemployed because of Federal Government. I worked as a clerk helping college student loan borrowers for nearly 20 years. Now the government took over and I am out of a job ! FEDERAL College Student Loan Direct Lending killed my employer – a private NON-PROFIT organization.

I am now penniless – living off the good will of my wife. She makes less than 10.50 /hr in retail. She is angry because she wanted to start a family. We can’t now – it was our last chance. We are now biologically to old.

I was in a UNION also ! But I won’t be called back. Do You Know Why ?
The non-profit College student loan foundation I worked for is now GONE ! IT IS OUT OF BUSINESS ! THANK YOU DEMOCRATS AND OBAMA !

That TARP nazi OBAMA said “NO TARP FOR YOU !!! GO OUT OF BUSINESS !!!”…..

I already cashed in my meager IRA in June and it’s will be gone in 2 months.

SOME FEDERAL EMPLOYEE GOT MY JOB !

After I go bankrupt next year (I can’t find a job here in CT !!!) I WON’T BE ELIGIBLE TO BUY A HOUSE UNTIL I’M almost 60 years old !

Check out this site, and you will see what the Democrats have accomplished ….

      http://www.cslf.com

This non-profit doesn’t exist anymore. Thank you President Obama for cutting out the “middleman” ….

      • Eric Bischoff

Sorry buddy but if there ever was a disgusting predatory industry that was it. Enslaving children with massive debt before they even hit the job market. Consider yourselves lucky you didn’t get linched.

        • Viktor Leben

I can see your point, Eric ! In Canada you only have to pay on college student loans for 10 years – then you can declare bankruptcy and get rid of the debt.

A student loan in the USA can enslave you for life. You can’t lose it in Bankruptcy.

I personally feel that student borrowers should be able to declare bankruptcy on their student loan and get rid of the crushing debt. Their should be a law similar to the one in Canada.

I guess the bottom line is 1) You still can’t declare bankruptcy, even though the Federal government is taking over….

          2) I haven’t been lynched yet .. HA HA !

          • Eric Bischoff

I wish you luck in whatever you do next. Here is a link to some interesting info on student loans. http://bit.ly/aQ2rlV

The more I read and learn on this subject the more I want to vote for free education for all starting with free kindergarten like the French right on up to college, apprenticeships or public service. This would be money well invested and I belive the returns would go a long way towards a better society. One with more productive people, less crime, less downtrodden, less policing and prison costs and even less healthcare costs. Everything is connected. We should be doubling down on spending on education.

  • Earl, QUEENS, NY

Perhaps the biggest problem is “….those who do not remember the lessons of history.” My only real voting error was 34 years ago when I thought Jimmy Carter would bring good change. But we know what a disaster Carter turned out to be. 3 decades later, American voters made an even bigger error (Not me!! I never forgot the error of 1976!!) by electing BHO, who’s already proven to be worse than Carter. Hopefully voters will wise up in 2012 and make 1/20/2013 the ‘End of an error’. But sadly within a decade or two, a large % of voters will forget about this “One Big Awful Mistake America” and make another similar foolish error at the polls…..People are also slow to learn. Think of the Peanuts comic strip, in which Lucy always lies to Charlie Brown and tells him to kick the football. She always pulls the ball away and he falls on his back. The Democraps are like Lucy – always lying by pretending to be centrist to right, and/or making promises that cannot be kept. Sadly, so many voters are like the blockhead Charlie Brown – they repeatedly fall for the democraps’ lies!! These Charlie Brown voters never learn, and are oblivious to the fact that there’s no longer such a thing as a conservative democrat. All you blockheads Charlie Brown – WAKE UP!! JFK was the last Democratic POTUS of his type; the last one I’d vote for over the GOP. Since his death, the Democrap Party’s been hijacked by the 1960s leftwing radicals and is now a socialist statist party!!

And yes!! Many of us would like to see the EPA eliminated – yesterday or sooner!! And the GOP should not only oppose more unConstitutional laws, but work to repeal those “….already on the books….” The GOP should be like Chuck Norris (as I once read in Newsmax magazine), and karate-chop all liberal laws!!

As for a large % of voters, we can understand their frustrations with RINOs and (as The Great One says on the radio) RePUBICans who often side with Democraps. But this “I don’t want to vote for the lesser of 2 evils, let’s teach the GOP a lesson” attitude is part of the reason we say ‘elections have consequences’. Common sense should tell anyone that voting for democraps, or refusing to vote against democraps by not voting at all, will NOT help. It will only make a bad situation worse, as we saw in the elections of 1974, 1976, 1992, 2006 and 2008….Of course, until the voters wise up, the GOP needs to keep its act together. Stand firm on conservative principals. Don’t try to get along with leftwing democraps, i.e., this latest food safety bill. I hear about a dozen GOP senators voted for this ridiculous legislation. To all Republicans: let the democraps side with us!! DON’T SIDE WITH THEM ON THEIR LEFTWING STATIST AGENDA!!!!

    • Eric Bischoff

The only thing wrong with the EPA and the FDA is how they’ve been INFILTRATED and CORRUPTED by the very industries they are supposed to REGULATE. It has become a revolving door much like the Military Industrial Complex.

We don’t need to eliminate the agencies which would only give absolutely FREE REIGNS to POLLUTERS. I realize a lot of you here don’t want any regulations and would rather deal with the Love canal and Exxon Valdez as they happen as opposed to trying and prevent them but a lot of us have fought hard for regulations and we are not about to go backwards.

It would be ASININE to go backwards. What we should do instead is link trade and imports with stronger EPA & FDA like regulations so that we don’t end up with LEAD in our TOYS or nasty TOXIC DRY WALL.

We should be PROUD of California for leading the way with strong environmental guidelines and efficiency standards. We should never APOLOGIZE for that.

Anyone who disagrees with this and wants to dismantle it is just plain GREEDY.

      • Denniso

How anyone can be so foolish and clueless to suggest eliminating the Epa is beyond me. Where is the ability to reason at all? The EPA hac fought and worked for and achieved the clean water and clean air act, that substantially cleaned uo the air and water…they also accomplished the elimination of most acid rain…remember that? An adult who makes such an ignorant statement as the one above is not fit to vote, ever,on any issue.

  • Bill

I read with great interest Robert Ringer’s article – however aside from some ridiculously naive observations and sweeping, oversimplified commentary meant to be divisive and fear instilling, there is one very important element that I feel is missing and is not being addressed by Mr. Ringer or by some – repeat – some of the people who have commented thus far. Put simply, let us briefly examine for a moment one of the core observations Ringer promotes in this article – that is that the “true Tea Partiers” essentially do not want to compromise – they do not want the two parties coming together on, well, anything that might have to do with achieving their agenda. If this is the case then I fear that these Tea Partiers and Mr. Ringer do not, in fact, “get it”. Pretend for a moment that such an agenda is 100% achievable. Regardless of its potential for success (as observed by the American populace should everything these Tea Partiers say will work in America’s best interest does work)does Mr. Ringer or these particular Tea Partiers think for a moment that their opposition will simply say “Oh, you know – you had it right all the time – we’ll all go away now”. Of course not. They will spend THEIR time and energy building THEIR opposition across all fronts and the paralysis that has gripped DC for far too long will go on and on and on – with nothing getting done. You will essentially have politicians losing of their mission to govern and become consumed by ideology and winning at all costs. Their collective motto will be what – “Our Way or the Highway”? Our nation WAS NOT founded nor has it prospered over two plus centuries by ideology consistently trumping carefully thought out compromise. I am not suggesting for a moment that compromise is good for its own sake but for Mr. Ringer to promote the idea (ala Mr. McConnell – please!) that compromise cannot, should not, exist is ludicrous and as dangerous as big bad government he so fears.

  • Neil Goeckerman

One does not compromise one’s basic values. To do so is to give in to corruption.
