The Godless Party

September 7, 2012 by

The Godless Party
MESSIAHOBAMA
Democrats are worshipping President Barack Obama at every opportunity, but won't even mention God.

Party platforms don’t really matter to the party elites, Republican or Democrat. Weeper of the House John Boehner let slip this fact at a recent breakfast when he said he’s never met anyone who reads the platforms.

But to the parties’ rank and file, platforms matter. They gather often, beginning in their local districts, in an effort to work their way up the party hierarchy just to get a chance to attend conventions as delegates and provide input on the platform. So it’s telling that the Democratic Platform Committee removed the word “God-given” from its initial draft.

For the rank and file, the Democrat Party is the party that embraces — no, encourages — infanticide and perverted lifestyles. That sort of behavior can only be glorified when God is not recognized.

The Democrat rank and file made clear with their initial exclusion that they have rejected God. The reaction from the floor when the platform was amended just reaffirmed that God is not welcome in the Democrat Party.

Now matter how critical you are about Obama, the wise ones know the truth and will vote and reelect him. The alternative has no plan, just lies and criticism.

    • Gary L

      Jon,
It appears that you don’t know wise from lies.
It is amazing that people can be so ignorant?

      • Robert Smith

“God is not welcome in the Democrat Party.”

Nore did our Founding Fathers want any sort of religion coming from the government.

AND our Constitution particularly says there will be NO religious test for our candidates.

Seems to me with this god thing the right wants to just walk all over the Constitution.

        Rob

      • Cameron

This is for Rob et al::::The Constitution says that the government cannot establish an official, sanctioned, government-approved religion. It also says that citizens are free to practice ANY religion, or none, that they choose, & that the government may not interfere. The Constitution does NOT say that religion cannot influence government. In fact, the Founding Fathers specifically said that this form of government was dependent upon God-fearing leaders & was completely useless for all others. Take God out of your Party & your Party isn’t worth crap, a bucket of warm spit, or a tinker’s dam for this country. The Democrat Party is trying to DESTROY America as we know & love her. If obama or anyone like him is ever elected again, RIP, America.

      • eddie47d

The problem with your analogy Cameron is that the Democrat Party is the party of all religions just as the Founding Fathers envisioned. Democrats believe that all Americans can worship as they see fit for their own conscience and that includes the Christian Faith. The Republican Party insists that you believe in their God (mine too)and if you don’t you will pay the price at the ballot box. That is thought control and forcing one to believe as one party sees fit not the free minds that those same Founding Fathers believed in.

      • Karolyn

Cameron – Nowhere is it state that “God” has to be the God of the Bible. There are different beliefs of what God is. God is certainly not a big man with a long white beard sitting on a rock in heaven.

      • Kate8

To be a party of all religions is to be a party of no religion. In fact, it makes a mockery of all faith, saying that, as all are valid, none are valid. The real objective here is to make God irrelevant. Only someone who believes in nothing can say that they accept all belief.

God and religion are not the same. God is God whether we acknowledge Him or not. Religion is man’s creation in his attempt to connect with God, but usually has the opposite result.

God can be honored as Divine Providence with no religious overtones, which is what our founders intended. Otherwise, any mention of Him at all is nothing but political pandering.

The humanistic idea that man is supreme is always the idea put forth by those who intend to be absolute rulers over everyone else, because it excuses them from any accounability for their actions.

And Karolyn, no one believes that God is a man with a white beard sitting on a rock.

      • DaveH

Robert is up to his usual fabrication of facts.
Robert says — “AND our Constitution particularly says there will be NO religious test for our candidates”.
Where does it say that, Robert?
        https://www.cato.org/constitution/constitution_en.html

      • Kate8

DaveH – Don’t you know? The Constitution is a “living” document. This means it says whatever they want it to say and means what they want it to mean, depending on what they are trying to force on us or prevent us from doing.

Wait. I thought the Constitution didn’t matter to them anymore. It’s was just for a different time…

Unless, of course, they need it to prove something, by declaring it says something it doesn’t…

Well…when you haven’t read something, I guess you can say it says anything. And, since most people haven’t read it, either, they might believe you.

      • Robert Smith

From 8: “To be a party of all religions is to be a party of no religion. In fact, it makes a mockery of all faith, saying that, as all are valid, none are valid.”

Isn’t that what America is about?

Your American version of the christian taliban just don’t cut it when freedom counts.

        Rob

      • Robert Smith

David, david, david… “Robert is up to his usual fabrication of facts.
Robert says — “AND our Constitution particularly says there will be NO religious test for our candidates”.
Where does it say that, Robert?”

Try article six of the United States Constitution.

“Article Six of the United States Constitution establishes the Constitution and the laws and treaties of the United States made in accordance with it as the supreme law of the land, forbids a religious test as a requirement for holding a governmental position and holds the United States under the Constitution responsible for debts incurred by the United States under the Articles of Confederation.”

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Article_Six_of_the_United_States_Constitution

Atheists can run for office in America.

        And they can get married.

Thus so can gays if you are going to use a religious argument to deny them marriage.

        Rob

      • Robert Smith

Ohhhh David, I went back and checked YOUR reference from Cato!

” but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”

Maybe if you actually read what…

Oh well, typical right wing garbage.

        Rob

      • Pete Curtis

Is it possible that “the wise” is short for “wise guy” of Chicago Mob jargon? There are many who salivate at the very idea of being “hooked up” with Chicago mobsters. It is true that anyone who cherishes the opportunity to openly engage in every form of what was once recognized as dishonest, unethical, and grossly immoral conduct will embrace Obumination. After all, turds do tend to pile up.

      • Stuart Shepherd

Robert Smith, the endlessly blathering condescending know-it-all should shut his continuously typing trap and remember that we are one nation, under GOD. That our liberties and freedoms are GOD-given. Too bad! Get over it! We love it that way! Move to Libya! Article 16 was to not endorse a SPECIFIC religion or religious sect, BONEHEAD, not an endorsement of atheism! Atheists were considered evil- and they are!! Take your evil, condescending behind and move to Libya or join the Democratic Party- same difference. You can enjoy the company of all those atheist lesbians, gays, baby-killers, freeloaders, socialist cronies and lawyers, and some other assorted SLIMY characters and politicians you will encounter! GOD bless!!!!

    • Ken Bristow

Jon, are you just moving from one blog to the next? Don’t you have anything beter to do, say take a long walk… off a very short pier! How can you support a “guy” who already knew that the unemployment figures were lousy when he stood up last night anddelivered a huge bunch of B.S. Get real man.

      • Robert Smith

The reality is that Bush was the problem and you are complaining because it couldn’t be fixed faster.

And now you want us to go back to the people who caused the problem with their greed.

        Rob

      • rb

Holy crap Rob. It’s four years later….it’s not still Bush’s fault! Quite typical though. Blame someone else…it can’t be my fault or my guy’s fault. Can you blame Bush for the fact that the “Nobel Peace Prize” winner in the White House lead an illegal invasion of Lybia, continues a war in Afghanistan even though our objectives have already been achieved, is supporting NATO in bringing Al Qaeda fighters into Syria (which by the way makes NATO a terrorist organization according to US Law)? OK….you probably could. Beats taking responsibility or admitting incompetence.

      • JON

You must also be just moving from one blog to the next. Otherwise, how would you know that I had?

      • Cameron

Rob, Rob, Rob, the Liberals in Congress, like your corn-hole buddy Barney Frank, DEMANDED that banks give exorbitant loans to people who had absolutely NO WAY of paying the mortgages, & it’s the Republican’s/Conservative’s/Bush’s fault??? You’re so full of crap that when you die they can give you an enema & bury you in a shoe box!

      • Buster the Anatolian

“The reality is that Bush was the problem…”

The operative word here is WAS. Bush has been gone for almost 4 years and obama owns it now. Things are no better now than when Bush left office and and many will tell you that in fact in many ways things are worse.

      • Winddrinker

Rob, if you don’t have anything to say except to blame “Bush” …
why bother to post. You are wasting your time. At what point will obumscum take responsibility for what he is doing, because Americans are holding him responsible for the last four years!

In the “real world” obumscum has had those four years to show what he can do!!! We have all seen exactly what he is doing. His party rejects GOD, and promotes, perverted life-styles, and murder, just as the articles states.. Everyone that watched the DNC saw your “party” in action when they were voting to leave GOD out of their platform. We heard the booing when GOD was reinstated in that platform….that has nothing to do with Bush!

This administration and its “party” has a war against GOD and that has everything to do with what has been happening in our country.

      • eddie47d

Holy crap RB did you really say that? Romney wants us in Afghanistan even longer so what is your game plan then? How about during the Republican Convention where Jimmy Carter’s name was mentioned several times. Oh I forgot that is soooo different! Obama does have the Presidency but Bush was soooo responsible for what he inherited. Those same dear Republicans have attempted and accomplished their sabotaging of the Obama Administration oh sooooo well. Now live with it!

      • Paul B.

Bob, we shouldn’t forget the expanded promotion of the CRA under Clinton, and of course the big culprit of leftist blaming the collapse was on the removal of regulations… kind of like Clinton and the gutting of Glass-Steigel Act in 1999.

Lefties claimed that was a big reason why the derivatives were allowed to exist. So I guess we can thank Dems, led by Clinton for that.

      • Robert Smith

From Buster: “Things are no better now than when Bush left office and and many will tell you that in fact in many ways things are worse.”

Really? Osama is dead and GM is still alive.

        Christler is alive.

Kids can have medical care with their parents until they are 26.

One can’t be denied health insurance because of a pre-existing condition.

        I really could go on.

        Rob

      • Paul B.

Excuse the typo, that was directed to Rob, Mr. Robert Smith to be exact, not Bob.

      • Paul B.

        Rob writes:
“Really? Osama is dead” . – Yes Rob, thanks to the efforts under Bush, which included efforts Obama would have NEVER taken. So that thanks actually goes to Bush… he appreciates your thanks. Yes Obama gave the call, but only after urging and prompting multiple times before he finally conceded to do it. Leadership… not hardly. He knew NOT doing it would be worse if it ever came out he had the chance and didn’t.

“and GM is still alive” – yes, but only after it was stolen from the rightful owners and handed over to the unions, at taxpayer expense of probably $25B which could have been used for other more worthwhile purposes. GM, like many airlines, should have gone through a chapter 11 reorganization, renegotiated the onerous union contracts, and survived, probably even stronger. It appears they are headed for the tank again, after all the money WASTED on Obama’s brainchild failure the Chevy Volt.

“Christler is alive” – yes but now belongs to a foreign company… again, like Lee Iacoca did earlier, could have been saved and remained a US company with the right approach.

“Kids can have medical care with their parents until they are 26″. – yes, costing the rest of us MORE in insurance premiums to cover the costs of care for those adults, with adult illnesses, pregnancies, etc, at the reduced rate. Yes, they are covered, but was it really a wise decision for the industry as a whole. Other alternatives could have been designed. Lefties pick the quick easy victories that appeal to emotion, not rational thought based on LT solutions.

“One can’t be denied health insurance because of a pre-existing condition” – I agree this is a big one, but again, could have bee accomplished under a number of different solutions. You have to look at ObamaCare as a whole, not just the little few pieces that sound good and create, again, the emotional buy-in. If you dig deeper, what do you say to all the others who will pay for that, like amputees, and those requiring surgical implants, like hips and knees who will now pay more. The list of additional taxes, fees and regulatory authorities goes through the roof.

“I really could go on”. – You could but you won’t because like these “benefits” you presented can be shown to be shallow, emotional victories at the expense of the whole. All your comments are simply the same talking points the left uses, that are half truths and misrepresentations at best. They skim the cream to garner favor while the rotten core gets ignored, as if the WHOLE TRUTH be known regarding these “grand” schemes of the left… NO reasonable person would buy into them.

Keep on trying Rob, but your arguments hold very little if any weigh when under more detailed scrutiny.

      • eddie47d

We also know about Romney’s “grand schemes” in how he achieved his wealth and it is not always ethical Paul. “Romneycare” has also worked out fairly well in Massachusetts but don’t let all his hypocrisy enfluence you in the least.

      • Paul B.

Even though ObamaCare was “modeled” after RomneyCare. there are huge substantive differences in the depth of ramifications and breathe of implication to so many areas related and UNRELATED to healthcare coverage. The basic concept of covering everyone, creating pools with specified coverages, etc. RomneyCare wasn’t over 2,000 pages of onerous regulation, that will significantly and irreversibly transform the industry, and many would say, not in a good way.

I am not aware of any specifics concerning Romney’s grand scheme’s. I am sure in some people’s eyes it would seem to possibly involve shady tactics. Understanding how that works, and understanding how to deal with “shady people and tactics” might be a valuable skill when dealing with many in DC.

I won’t deny that potential exists, nor will I excuse any such activities. But, like so many on the left ignore so much of the evils contained within Obama’s ideology, the use of Alinsky type tactics, his dealings with Ayers and Rezko, the unions, and involvement in ACORN, and his membership in the American Communist society, having sought and gained their endorsement when running for state senate, etc, etc. I am somewhat willing to overlook minor issues in favor of considering the overall benefits and what Romney can do to improve life for everyone in the US… something I thin Obama is totally clueless on , and what is MOST important to our economic recovery and future.

      • DaveH

        Who is “Christler”, Robert?

      • Winddrinker

Paul, show your reference that you used to prove the Meet the Press Interview is false.
I have heard obumscum say some of these exact things in other interviews.

      • Robert Smith

“DEMANDED that banks give exorbitant loans to people who had absolutely NO WAY of paying the mortgages, ”

That lie has been around so long it might have come from the bible.

Show us a QUOTE from to back up any of your garbage accusations.

        Rob

      • Robert Smith

Paul B says: “RomneyCare wasn’t over 2,000 pages of onerous regulation, that will significantly and irreversibly transform the industry, and many would say, not in a good way.”

Do you object to kids being covered until they are 26?

Do you want insurance companies to be able to deny coverage for a pre-exisgting condition?

Please tell us in particular what you don’t like about Obamacare. Your screeching generalities aren’t very informative.

        Rob

    • dragonfire

You are completely backwards. Obama has no plan and never has except tax, tax tax. Yes the wise will vote and put him out of office. He is a disgrace to ths country.

      • Neil Swan

Dragonfire it’s people like you who are a disgrace for this country not Obama.

        Neil

      • Winddrinker

Neil, you and your ilk are “disgracing this country” by being anti-American traitors. What a farce it was to see the DNC trying to act like REAL Americans…

The demonrats are duping the mentally-challenged people into believing in their marxist agenda. Whether it be by buying their votes with taxpayers money or inviting foreigners into the country to vote, the result is the same. The demonrats are trying to sell something that NO WORKING AMERICANS WANT! That is why the demonrats must depend on the votes of foreigners and the dependent class (that wants to keep the freebees.)

The demonrats are the ones promoting marxism by demeaning GOD, destroying our culture, destroying moral fiber and promoting perverted life-styles,Yes, he told us in advance what he planned to do. Few were listening.
The following is a narrative taken from a 2008 Sunday morning televised “Meet The Press’.
From Sunday’s 07 Sept. 2008 11:48:04 EST, Televised “Meet the Press” THE THEN Senator Obama was asked about his stance on the American Flag.

General Bill Ginn’ USAF (ret.) asked Obama to explain WHY he doesn’t follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.

The General stated to Obama that according to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171…

During rendition of the national anthem, when the flag is displayed, all present (except those in uniform) are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Or, at the very least, “Stand and Face It”.

        NOW GET THIS !!
        ‘Senator’ Obama replied:
“As I’ve said about the flag pin, I don’t want to be perceived as taking sides”. “There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American
Flag is a symbol of oppression..” “The anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all that sort of thing.”

        (ARE YOU READY FOR THIS???)
Obama continued: “The National Anthem should be ‘swapped’ for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song ‘I’d Like To Teach the World To Sing’. If that were our anthem, then, I might salute it. In my opinion, we should consider reinventing our National Anthem as well as ‘redesign’ our Flag to better offer our enemies hope and love. It’s my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptance to our Middle East Brethren. If we, as a Nation of warring people, conduct ourselves like the nations of Islam, where peace prevails – – – perhaps a state or period of mutual accord could exist between our governments …”

When I (Obama) become President, I will seek a pact of agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts. We as a Nation, have placed upon the nations of Islam, an unfair injustice which is WHY my wife disrespects the Flag and she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past”.

“Of course now, I have found myself about to become the President of the United States and I have put my hatred aside . I will use my power to bring CHANGE to this Nation, and offer the people a new path..My wife and I look forward to becoming our Country’s First black Family. Indeed, CHANGE is about to overwhelm the United States of America ”

        Yes, you read it right.
        I, for one, am speechless!!!
        Dale Lindsborg , Washington Post

      • Paul B.

In all fairness, I should note to you that your Obama Meet the Press claim was proven false. I too got that message in an email, which I investigated and found to be false. As much as I believe that is what Obama believes, as evidenced through his actions. the actual comments were never made as claimed.

I appreciate your sharing it, but you should be more careful when making comments based on sometimes fabricated email traffic. that is why I check suspicious ones like this out before propagating them.

Again, while I believe Obama truly feels that way, we have to rely on his actions as proof, not fictitious Meet the Press interviews.

      • Winddrinker

Paul, show your reference that proves that the “Meet the Press interview” is false.
I have heard obumscum say some of these exact things in other interviews. I do not watch Meet the Press.

    • http://WindowsInernetExplorer H. Johnson

You are absolutely right, JON. It is not Obama who even writes the speeches and so forth, his advisors who get paid big bucks make these changes and Obama may or may not have decided to re allow the God phrase, but I admire him in not using God as his platform like Presidents past. When you are strong in faith it shows in daily movements and activities and personal decisions, pleople need to stop blaming him for things that are out of his immediate control like politics of the moment for election purposes. And they ALL do it!!! What people need to look at are the real issues being proposed and what hasn’t happen to us because of the Bush Administations’ doing, like a real full blown DEPRESSION, NO FOOD BANKS OR FOOD CENTERS, JUST STAMP RASSIONS THAT DICTATE HOW MUCH AND WHEN YOU GET FOOD!!! YES, we all have some hardships to blame on someone, but reality is, he has been here, the middleclass, and he can identify with the specific hardships with experience that others have or could not possible identify with. Being born with a silver or gold spoon in your mouth and then making it on your own is not a harship. An ideal education paid by your parents to enable you to make it on your own is every parents’ dream, reality is then the rich get tax breaks for it. All we want is equality. Pay the tax on what you make across the board, no lawyers to get you tax breaks or politicians to make it easier for you because you can contribute money others cannot, it is a good gesture, but I believe you should still pay your taxes accordingly, it is only FAIR!!!

      • Cameron

It would be very interesting to see if Barry Soetero/obama paid for his own education, or if he went to exclusive schools because he HAD to be admitted as an exchange/foreign national student. Even HE admits he was a so-so student, BUT nobody knows because he REFUSES to release his academic records, all the way from kindergarten thru his “teaching” days as a “Constitutional law professor”. IF he knew, understood, AND kept his Presidential vow to protect, honor, & defend the Constitution of the United States of America, then there is NO WAY he could have done everything he has done since taking the oath of office. I can’t wait for this SOB of an unwed whore & a card-carrying Communist to get a boot in his ass!

      • eddie47d

I reckon that Cameron is slamming each and every American who attends school or applies for a government grant or receives a loan for that education. I don’t have a college education but I still believe in helping others to achieve their goals in life. We use to be exceptional in our educational endeavors and our country showed it. Now if you don’t accomplish it on your own you are a nobody and our countries economy reflects that. Only the very wealthy will be included in your society while the door is being shut on everyone else.

      Please check out http://www.unpartial.com, thanks!

    • Chester

Thanks, Jon, as these same people do not know the difference between encouraging and allowing, or embracing and allowing. The only things they actually encourage are the push for wealth at all costs, and government control of a woman’s life, from birth to death. Oh, they do “encourge outright discrimination against anyone who lives a slightly different lifestyle than the “straight and narrow” choices they publicly offer while privately ignoring. I have heard NOTHING from the Log Cabin Republicans this election cycle, possibly because their very existence would embarrass Mitt and company no end. I have to put up with the Janus types on a daily basis, so have learned to look around the corners they try to hide behind the curtains.

      • DaveH

So, Chester, do you encourage the push to take other peoples’ money as if it were your own?

    • KG

Pleas tell me one lie that the President told. And I want you to tell me where he is mistaken in his Christian faith.
The biggest lie I heard was how the Tax Cuts were supposed to help the economy. we are paying less taxes than ever, and have the worse economy ever.
Let’s get back to a really prosperous time – like the 1950′s – when America was almost 50% unionized, and there was a 90% tax bracket. Oh, Democrats support union people. And they believe in freedom to choose. However, the Republicans want to take your choices away. Except the one that lets you buy what you need to do your shooting rampage. That is vital! To hell if you have a good job – at least you can shoot everyone there!

      • DaveH

        See Chip Wood’s column today.

      • DaveH

The harder question to answer, KG, is “when does he tell the truth?”.

    • Art

Jeez pal wake up and smell the roses. Wait until obummercare goes into effect and you get stuck paying the premiums you’ll wish you voted for anybody but your savior obummer

A wise man once said “fool me once shame on you! Fool me twice shame on me! I have listened to Obama for over four years so that does include his campaign. I will not allow him to fool me even once let alone twice. Do you get it?
This man has been the most deceitful person ever to occupy the White House including Tricky Dick. I am pretty sure that you have an escuse for everything Obama has done. One thing I do know for sure is that there would be a lot more people working if not for his policies and actions. I also no one person has done more to divide this country in its history.

    • don

jon, you are such a democrat obama drone. The boos you heard at the convention, no doubt came from all his anti-God muslim voters. This dictator president is a marxist,-muslim. There is video evidence that he is a muslim, and if you look at the czars he has surrounded himself with, they are communists and marxists.

Wise people that voted for obummer the first time were blinded so bad that they let their brain takeover their zest for eyesight. They will most likely vote for him again and will look forward for a government handout not knowing how much they are going to get because they are BLIND , not WISE!

  • Harold Olsen

I’ve heard lefties on numerous occasions claim to be as religious as the people on the right. In many cases, I agree with that. But, the majority of evangelical Christians support conservatism not liberalism. As I have said many times, I do not believe there is any such thing as a conservative Democrat and the Republicans, at best, are left-leaning moderates.

In 2004, a Boston Archbishop said words to the effect that Democrats who call themselves Christians are not TRUE Christians as long as they and their party support abortion and same sex marriage. I’m in full agreement with this.

To call the Democrats a Godless party, in my opinion, is an understatement. It is clear to me that they hate God and seem to attack Him and those who believe in Him every chance they get. Just one of many reasons I will never vote for a Democrat. In fact, one of my criteria for voting for a candidate is he must be able to prove to me that he has a true belief in God and not just bring it out, as Clinton did, in an effort to get elected.

    • Vigilant

      From http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/09/04/god-also-absent-from-democrats-platform/?iref=obinsite

“David Silverman, president of American Atheists, said the exclusion of “God” in the Democrats’ document was a step forward in including non-religious Americans in the official party stance.

“We are obviously happy that the Democrats are taking these positive steps,” Silverman wrote. “We are looking for the inclusion of everyone and we are hopeful that that inclusion will continue to the point that we can depend on Mr. Obama to repeal the faith based initiatives and reinforce the separation of church and state.”

“It comes as a pleasant surprise,” he added. “It is something that we have been pushing for and is certainly a positive step. But it is only one step and I would like to see action more than words”

Wrong again Cameron! The Democrats welcome all religions and people of a variety of Faiths. They are inclusive and do not exclude people as the Republicans do all the time.Stand up for your Christian Faith but stop denouncing and actively working against other people of Faith.

      • Chester

Okay, Cameron, why are YOU wearing kneepads if that statement is true of Democrats?

      • rural dweller

People will gravitate to the political side which best demonstrates their
moral beliefs. Thus, in the big picture you have good versus evil. There is
no inbetween. The Bible talks about choosing a path to walk. It actually
says to go down the “right” path and choose not the left. I can’t remember which
book it is…..very interesting, don’t you think?

      • nnicko

Yes, the separation of “church & state”. Little do the American atiiests realize that they will eventually have to omit American out of their title and insert islam and that will be by a not so friendly persuasion from obozo.

Your statements convince me of one thing, Harold: you are demented; your unfounded belief in mysticism that is unconvincing and unprovable is astounding. The only good news is that evolutionarily you are apparently a dead end for mankind is slowly putting away childish things such as belief in some ridiculous “god.” Me? “Fifty-six percent (56%) of the president’s supporters are Christians as are 83% of Romney supporters. These figures include Evangelical Christians, other Protestants and Catholic voters.

“Among those who rarely or never attend church or other religious services, Obama leads by 22 percentage points. Among those who attend services weekly, Romney leads by 24. The candidates are even among those who attend church occasionally.”

      From Rasmussen Polls.

      • ImListening

Yes, and it’s also interesting that at the time of our Founding Father’s worked on our Constitution and eventually our Bill of Rights, 98% of the population wasn’t just Christians, but all Protestants. Less then 1% were Catholic. They came to this free land for Religious freedom. Their beliefs were written into the Documents to govern this great Country.

      • Chester

ImListening, granted, a very LARGE part of the founding fathers, who were among the elite of their time, and voters in a time and place where you HAD to be a property owner to be allowed to vote, but most of the people were not all that strongly attached to the churches, Yeah, they attended, they tithed as they could, but they didn’t take the preacher’s word for everything in their lives. Actually, most of the preachers knew not to jump into the political fray, as doing so could well cost them their seat at the tables of the church members. The founding fathers were more worried about the taxation mess England kept dropping on them than about who went to what church, or if they went to church at all. This all started almost a hundred and fifty years AFTER the first pilgrims hit Plymouth Rock and started the first true Protestant settlement. But even they did NOT believe in religious freedom, as anyone who did NOT follow their beliefs was either exiled from the colony or executed as a witch. Rhode Island was the first colony to be founded on the principles of separation of church and state, NOT anything in Massachusetts.

(I’ll give you a hint….He was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize for getting elected President of the United States) Oh no…It was those peace loving Democrats that illegally ran guns to Mexico so the drug lords could kill our border guards and more effectively take out the Mexican military. And that’s just the recent history. Who was the “greedy” President that eliminated banking laws enabling the collapse that happened under the Bush administration. Oh SNAP….another Democrat! Bill Clinton. How about “White Water” and the Savings and Loan collapse. Oooo….Bill Clinton again. Oh and who raised taxes by history making proportions on the middle class? Your budy Bill did. Then Cameron should be willing to take on Wall Street tooth and nail. Cameroon should be willing to reign in their deceit and financial Jerri rigging our capitalist system for personal gain. Cameron should be willing to take on the Corporate executives who bankrupted their own companies with their golden parachutes and slick stock options. Where they win even if their own company or even America loses because of their foul play. Maybe if Cameron had the courage to take on Big Pharma the cost of drugs wouldn’t have gotten out of hand. Maybe he can explain the illogic in going to war with Iraq as a noble adventure with no clear plan or exit strategy. I didn’t agree with Obama on going to war with Libya but he didn’t sacrifice American troops and his goal was accomplished in ridding the country of Gaddafi. • Vigilant

“Whatever happened to the concept of separating religion from politics? Or, as commonly stated “church from state’?”

“Separating religion from politics?” You indeed have a limited understanding of the Constitution. Excerpt from the First Amendment: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…” Now where do you find an injunction against nondenominational, even nonexclusive usage of the word “God” in that Amendment?

“Why should a political speech mention God? It is contrary to our Constitution!”

Perhaps you can cite the particular article of the Constitution that prohibits it. If you can’t, forever hold your peace.

If Abigail Adams were here today, she’d lament the fact that you share the same Christian name.

    • Cmlmommy

The separation of church and state was originally meant to keep the government out of the the affairs of churches, whatever denomination, not the other way around.

      • cawmun cents

The only mention of a “wall of separation between church and state”was in a private letter between Jefferson and the pastor of a church known then as the Danbury Baptists.
There is no such thing mentioned in our founding documents….it is all a fabrication by atheists to drive God from everything so they can establish a communist hiearchy here in America.

Yet they keep on electing Government officials who steal other peoples’ money, and kill other people in foreign countries with nary a trial or a thought. The human capacity for rationalization is just amazing.

    • Winddrinker

You are wrong abigail! Our government was based on Judeo Christian Values. The demonrats have misinterpreted the meaning of our forefathers for their own purposes.

The founders were refugees from a tyrannical government that had a State Religion, The Church of England.
Their purpose was to keep GOVERNMENT OUT OF RELIGION. It was NOT THEIR PURPOSE to keep religion out of government. Note the Ten Commandments displayed in our Courts and in the Capitol…It is perfectly clear what our founders meant IF you don’t have a marxist agenda..(or are not just plain stupid and uninformed.)

      • eddie47d

Yes but the Church of England had extreme Christian views and there are those in America who would love to see those same views dominate us in the present. Wouldn’t that be a form of Marxism is one religion dominated all. No one is forced to be a Christian in America and that is the way it should remain.

      • Winddrinker

Eddie, the point IS that the founders meant to KEEP GOVERNMENT OUT OF RELIGION, NOT RELIGION OUT OF GOVERNMNENT! Big difference.. People fled from oppression, taxes, and freedom of religion. Our laws are based on the Judeo Christian values because this is a Christian Nation. Seventy-percent of our people describe themselves as Christians.

      • Robert Smith

From Winddrinker: “the point IS that the founders meant to KEEP GOVERNMENT OUT OF RELIGION, NOT RELIGION OUT OF GOVERNMNENT!”

Nope, got it wrong again. Remember, there is no religious test to be a government official.

        Article 6 and all that.

The revisionist history from the right is amazing. They do it with the bible, they do it with our Constitution, and they do it with Ayn Rand.

        Rob

      • Vigilant

Technically, the Founders were MOST concerned with preventing any form of tyranny in government, whether that was a monarchy or a theocracy. Great students of history, they understood all too well how dictatorial and scornful of individual freedoms were both the monarchies and the “holy” empires where individual sovereignty did not reign..

The First Amendment accomplishes only two things vis-à-vis religious beliefs: it prevents the Federal government (Congress) from establishing a national church or religion, and it prevents the Federal government from prohibiting the exercise of any religious beliefs.

Too often we forget that the states were given latitude regarding the curtailing of liberties to a much greater extent than the Federal government. The individual states were NOT prevented from exercising their prerogatives in the area of religion where the Feds were constrained. They were free to establish state churches if they so wished, and indeed there were movements in several states to do just that.

Furthermore, religious tests for eligibility to hold office only applied to Federal government positions. The states were free to, and indeed some did, establish precisely those tests for manning state political positions. “Jews, Turks (Muslims) and infidels” were barred from holding office in a few states.

Karolyn, there is suggested sin that people are tired of seeing that’s been going on now for almost 4 years, and people are getting tired of it because they know it will affect their familes, their children in time. Abortion is murder, gays wanting to marry men and men, women and women…is not Gods way. And there is so much much more going on that is just plain wrong. Even without mentioning God, you have to know right from wrong, karolyn. Do some research and look at both sides with an open mind and see for yourself the right way to go. You do have a choice. Consider character when your looking and the fruits of the individuals.

Anybody with a lick of sense knows that these conventions both RNC and DNC are mere coronations of the nominee. Both parties presumed nominees have their hands in setting the platform.
It should’ve come as no surprise when the platform had deleted the language supporting Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel. That little piece was telegraphed ahead of tome by the administrations’ support people refusing to acknowledge as much. That type of action only leads to credible speculation that the adminitration all the way to Obama is anti-Israel.
Taking God out of the platform was another misstep by the administration in crafting out the party platform. It was Obama that made the statement that we are no longer a Christian nation. It also made more convenient for the conscience to not be convicted when it came to supporting abortion. I guess that taking an innocent life just did not mix with the commandment agaainst murder.
Both of these missteps by the administration were caught and publicized and caused such an uproar nationwide that damage control had to be done. The resulting votes if you will were a sham with foregone conclusions. The voice vote taken as opposed to the roll call was at best a tie instead of the two thirds needed for amending the platform. The icing on the cake was when it was noted that the “passage” of the amendment was recognized on the teleprompter before the vote was even finished!
I think that for people to excuse this type of actions on a party level will only spell even more trouble for our republic. It just shows that the democrats could care less about representative government or democracy. Instead the agenda is everything mentality will rule individual rights be damned. When elected or re-elected more ruling by fiat can be expected by these democrats if they would have the chutzpah to do this on nationwide television.

      Outstanding comment!

Please correct me if I am wrong on this issue. Did not John Adams swear into office of POTUS with his right hand on a law book and not the Bible as an un-worded statement of his opinion on separation of church and state ? In times past (pre-eccuminism – SP?)I have heard the accusation of “Godless” passed between sects of Christianity; today it seems almost exclusively confined to the political arena.
Yes, I know that times and population demographics have changed since Adams (or, for that matter, T. Jefferson’s expurgation of his personal Bible) but I will not entertain any progressive views that alter this original intent.
Again, if you deem me misinformed, please toss some enlightenment my way.

    • Vigilant

“Only one president, Franklin Pierce, is definitely known to have affirmed rather than sworn by using a Law Book.”

John Adams was the most Christian of all those we have come to know as the Founders. Washington, Franklin, Paine, Jefferson, and Madison were all Deists, although they attended Christian services.

“There is no requirement that any book, or in particular a book of sacred text, be used to administer the oath, and none is mentioned in the Constitution. With the use of the Bible being customary for oaths, at least in the 18th and 19th centuries, a Bible was generally used.”

      Above quotes from Wikipedia.

      • boyscout

Thanks Vig, you have updated my reference base. Of course I will have to chase down the Wikipedia refs for reliability, but you have also confirmed my belief in Adam’s strength of faith.

      • http://personalliberty.com Jollyroger88805

I would love to see your proof that the founders you mentioned were deitists. I think you will have a very very hard time doing so. But if you want proof they were members of established christian churches that would be an easy thing to do. Since it was your claim go for it. Show us.

      • Vigilant

        Jollyroger88805,

You need only Google “faith of the founders” for a long list of books written on the subject. I cannot locate the reference volume I have in the house (I have tons of books), but here are some things I recall:

The Founders I mentioned earlier were members of established Christian churches, but Washington for one rarely attended. None were atheists. This is general knowledge that can be found virtually anywhere in history.

The language in the Declaration is purely Deist in origin. “Creator” was virtually unused in pulpits of the US, as was “Nature’s God,” “Providence” and other terms clearly identified with Deist thinking of the day.

The “Jefferson Bible” is an eloquent example of Jefferson’s Deist beliefs, where he cut and pasted the Gospels to create a unified story. He called it “The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth” It begins with an account of Jesus’s birth without references to angels, genealogy, or prophecy. Miracles, references to the Trinity and the divinity of Jesus, and Jesus’ resurrection are also absent from The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth.” (Wikipedia)

Perhaps the most important thing is that contemporary Enlightenment thinking was the driving force behind how our government was founded. The Deists believed that the existence of God could be known through reasoning and observation, but generally denied the miracles, or supernatural nature of Christianity as a “revealed” religion.

There can be no doubt that the Founders were profoundly affected by the Christian morality of their upbringing, the values and teachings of the Bible, but did not generally partake in the belief in the mythological aspects of it.

In many ways, we may thank them for their foresight in not establishing a theocracy but in giving us a nation that respected and tolerated the beliefs of others. They were fully cognizant that the nation could not survive in the absence of Christian values, and what was true then is true today.

Sorry, Jollyroger88805, your list expands no knowledge on the subject whatsoever. Please re-read my posting.

Church membership meant much in a society that so often demanded membership as a door to politics, as it does today.

Moreover, the exhaustive list provided does not even address my earlier comments, i.e., that 99% of those were not prime movers and shakers in forming the government. The real philosophical basis upon which we were founded came from those few (Franklin, Washington, Hamilton, Jefferson, Madison, Mason and a few others), who had studied and were deeply imbued with the Enlightenment philosophy of the Age of Reason.

John Adams’ talents were of a different nature (primarily a legal and history scholar), and while he was the only devout believer of the group, would never have entertained the idea that the supernatural aspects of Christianity were appropriate in our form of government.

As I said, Jefferson’s use of the word “Creator” in the Declaration was a sure indicator of the Deist influence.

Please also understand that the Founders recognized the compatibility between Christian VALUES and Deist values. They also knew that the maintenance of Christian VALUES was crucial to the survival of the new Republic. They never expected that everyone in the US would toe the theological aspects of Christianity, and their establishment of a secular government is eloquent testimony to it.

IF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE (WHITE -BLACK-MEXICAN-ETC) ELECT OBAMA THERE CHILDREN WILL SEE THE STREETS OF AMERICA BECOME A SYRIA OR OTHER THIRD WORLD COUNTRY BY THE TIME THEIR CHILDREN ARE GROWN. GOD BLESS AMERICA – BUT NOT THE SODOM AND GOMORA IT WILL BECOME. WHEN GOD LEAVES AMERICA – THE AMERICA AS WE OLDER PEOPLE HAVE KNOWN IT WILL BE HISTORY. THIS IS GOD’S COUNTRY – IT’S NOT TO LATE TO TAKE IT BACK AND GIVE IT BACK TO GOD.

      • Deb

        Amen Amen!!!!

      • JON

Take it back? Back to the dark ages?

      • Cameron

No Jon, back away from the dark abyss over which we are presently poised to plunge. Queers “marrying” each other & unborn babies being murdered at the convenience of “mothers” is as un-God-like as you can get. People going hungry & homeless because of politicians forcing banks to make HIGHLY risky home loans, now THAT’s immoral. The Republicans don’t get a pass either, but at least they don’t try to force successful people to join the ranks of lazy, sorry, shiftless, worthless people by taking their success away from them & GIVING it to bums who don’t appreciate it nor deserve it. Get a firm grip on reality. This world is a jungle where survival is the law of the fittest, not some utopia where nobody does anything but eat, drink, & be merry.

      • Winddrinker

Jon, the RETROS (demonrats) are trying to take us back to the Dark Ages. They want us to go back to a GODLESS time, where tyranny prevailed and there were no Human Rights, Private Property Rights or Free Men. If you think that is progress, you will be highly disappointed and in deep trouble… You will not be exempt.

If obumscum has his way, and he has a good start with all one hundred-plus, Executive Orders, there will be no freedom, no private property or individual rights.

      • eddie47d

It’s President Obama Winddrinker and Republicans in America are clueless on human rights except for maybe Lincoln’s attempt at righting a wrong. Even that is said to be politically motivated so the R’s have little to stand on.

        • Cameron

I guess eddieboy has all the answers.Just for the record NEITHER Party has all the answers either. Sometimes I wonder if they have ANY answers. But it’s the Party leaders & elites who control the Parties, not the rank and file members. We need to change our way of selecting just who advances to the general elections. Put ALL political donations into a pool & give ALL candidates an equal sum to use in campaigning. That cuts out the fat cats on both sides from having unfair influence on our politics. Then put ALL candidates, regardless of Party affiliation, on the same ballot. That way the people could pick & choose the PERSON who best fits their individual stances on issues. Divide the country up into four or more campaign zones, where all candidates campaign at the same time. this return the power to the people, where it belongs, instead of Party big wigs. There are a lot of things that should be done to improve our system of electing a President, but don’t look for any changes soon

      • Winddrinker

So eddie, since the demonrats were proud to belong to and organize the KKK, and terrorize blacks, the republicans had to save blacks from the mean old demonrats!
I think the repubs should be thanked a thousand times over for running the Underground Railroads….however, these people may have had second thoughts if they had known what the first “so-called black president” would do to their country!

        • jollyroger88805

Winddrinker Your statement COULD be considered racist. Obama is NOT BLACK. He is MULATTO.

      • daniel

Eddy you forgot about the Civil Rights act signed by Johnson. If it wasn’t for the Republicans it would not have been passed. Don’t forget the NAACP either please. The Democrats were against both. You can check George Wallace as he was very active at that time. Let’s see oh yes, Wilson also segregated the armed forces and he was a progressive.

      • eddie47d

I have little use for George Wallace or any Democrat who endorses his message. I don’t have much respect for Republicans who stood back and allowed racist policies to endure under their watch either. A racist is a bully no matter which party he belongs too.

      • Winddrinker

Jolly….What is your point because I could care less that you want to be the “thought police.”

      • http://personalliberty.com Jollyroger88805

Wind you misunderstood me. While the statement mulatto is factual it was a tongue in cheek reference to the “first black” which dems think is racist. The absolute truth is he is the first mulatto to sit in the White House. Since he is a usurper he also is not a President. And I have no intention of being anyone’s thought police. That would be way too big of a job for me.

      • Winddrinker

Sorry about that Jolly, we must be on the same page…

Actually I guess obumscum could be called mulatto, even if it is said that he is only 4% black, while the left-over part is thought to be arab plus white -trash….

Actually, we don’t know his real pedigree, since obumscum is the figment of someone’s imagination. He looks arab to me, I don’t see any “White” in him… arabs are supposed to be a “White race.” Anyway, there has been a lot of BS spread around about this foreign usurper….and it is all lies.

  • Den

I think you need a history lesson that the constitution started from religious forefathers. Look at our money and the buildings with the latin words in Washington D.C. It mentions God. What do you think our laws came from…the 10 commandments. Thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not murder, thous shalt not bear false winesses against thy neighbor…this ALL comes right in play with our laws…they are moral laws..moral comes from religion. If you did not have the bible in place to give us guidance there would be complete chaos in this world. If there was never a bible..where would you get the laws of today? So I think the Democratics need to re-think about where this country started from and some Americans really need to think deeply where these laws come from… just take the time out and read the bible. You do not have to agree with it but just read it and get some basis that our laws and religion goes hand in hand. God has said he does not force you to embrace him it is up to you to accept him or not…but you will find out once it is your time up on this earth which is only a short amount of time that you will be judged in front of God of how you felt about him and how well you were a good person and held accountable for your actions in front of him. I am not to judge non-believers. That is as stated between you and God on judgement day. He will at that time will determine what will happen to you and you have no control over that when you die. The same goes with me..I will be judged on how well I did on this earth and believed in him. Just read the Book of Revalations. It is all there black and white of what is happening right now. God bless you.

    • Karolyn

Morality does not come from religion, it comes from within – our true self – our spirit. Religion has nothing to do with it. Actually, religion often contributes to the immorality of hate.

      • Cameron

K, those w/o religion do not have any morals. Whether you or they know it or not, religion or lag of one determines how we treat others. Yes, many who claim to be Christians do not act on their faith because it isn’t very strong. If you’re living your life as if there is no God, you better be praying that you’re right!

      • Karolyn

Cameron – You obviously don’t know what you’re talking about. I am not a Christian, but I am a spiritual and moral person. I have no religion and believe in a Universal Intellgence some might call God. NO ONE knows what is true. Also, many issues that you may say come down to morals are not considered moral issues by others with different beliefs.

      • eddie47d

Some Christians do build up societies and do great deeds. There are also those Christians who hide behind God to perpetuate their racism and and start wars. I wish the first type of Believers would be of greater abundance.

      • gunner689AI

The Bible is the guideline for leading a happy and successful life. it’s when we stray from it’s teachings that we humans get into trouble.

      • Cameron

K, Islam is a religion, & it encourages the beheading of infidels who refuse to convert. That is moral? If you don’t believe in God, but some being or whatever, you are spiritual. The Indians worshiped several different gods, & killing white men wasn’t a matter of morals to them, it was a matter of survival. You may say your morals come from being non-religious but spiritual, but let me ask, do you believe the Ten Commandments are the greatest laws ever written? If so, then you need to thank God for them. I don’t hate or pity anyone who chooses to not believe in God, it’s an individual choice. God bless you.

      • Karolyn

Cameron – What is moral in one religion might not be moral in another and vice versa. Man is born moral, having all the knowledge inside that he needs to live a good life. Unfortunately, society (any society) interferes with our natural morality. Children are idoctrinated right off the bat.

        • Cameron

Very true, K, but it still doesn’t make every religion right. W/O religion to be our moral compass, we would stray further & further from God. Believe what you will. Maybe one day something will happen that will open your eyes. In the meantime, keep on being “good”, but good deeds will not get you into Heaven.

      • Winddrinker

Karolyn, prayers to GOD work! When a country prays to GOD asking for HIS blessings, those prayers are answered.

There is no “spirit” but the one that is given to you by HIM. Where do you think your “spirit” comes from and how did you get it. What you received from HIM is what makes you a person instead of just a blob of ejected protoplasm.

      • daniel

Karolyn man is born with a knowledge of good and evil and of God. The natural world testifies to greatness of God and to His glory. That is from the Bible and from St. Paul. If you think about it for a while you may come to a conclusion of people react to Christianity partly because they know what is true yet choose not to act accordingly. Yes, I am well aware of what has been done and is being done in the name of God. Some of that unfortunately is religious zealotry gone amok. A greater part is political in nature. Religion has been used to further the political interests of one group over another. If you are honest with yourself and to God then He will reveal Himself to you if you ask. Since there are other gods out there and you want to be sure it is the right one keep it silent and to yourself. As a Christian I will admit I know I am right and I know why. And no I don’t like a lot of the venom I read from both sides but then again I would be folloing man if I let others actions influence my final decision.
By the way children are not so innocent. After having raised a couple and now my grandson as well as observing and researching I have come to the decision that children are very self-centered.

      • Karolyn

Winddrinker – Prayer works because thought is energy – everything is energy. Especially when a collective consciousness is taken into consideration, there is power to change things. Another example is the mind-body connection.

  • Ron

  • Brian

This for Robert Smith. The problems started with Clinton not Bush. Policies in the Clinton Admin. started the weak economy

  • marie

Not only did our forefathers come over here because of less freedoms and more taxes, etc, but also because of religion…most of them were very much religiously minded [ look into some more history on this ]. How we got this country in the first place was that God gave it to us by way of Abraham. And the more people put God down, the sooner we will lose this country…believe me, and you CAN take that to the bank.

    • Deb

Very Good & I agree! Very sad that people voice their hatred toward the Bible, Christians and even Israel and yet most of them haven’t ever picked up the Bible to find out what it says. Isn’t it interesting the only faiths in the world that is hated the most is the Jews and Christians. Haven’t any of these people who spout such venom towards those two faiths ever stopped to wonder why? It’s because there is where the Ten Commandments were established and people oppose rules.

      • marie

You are so right, Deb. And many don’t pick up the bible and read, nor study it…and those are the very ones that condem those that are Christian or Jew.

  • Whit

Bob, I’m curious why you chose this particular picture of Obama accompanying your article? Was it purely coincidental to use the type of picture commonly seen of Obama with a “halo” effect?

    • daniel

I am not Bob but at the convention there are cards with a picture of Obama with a crown of thorns and outstretched arms made to look like he was on a cross. Tere is another calendar with an open bible a picture of Obama praying with the verse of John 3:16 printed out. The symbolism is just shouting out to anyine paying attention. Now I am pretty sure Obama was well aware of this tyoe of stuff going on. If I was him I would have stomped it out immediately and not let it go any further. So I guess this picture was not too bad.

  • rb

And yet it astounds me that none of the President’s supporters have waken up to a real glaring truth that happened at the convention. The delegates OVERWHELMINGLY turned down the amendments adding God and Jeruselum to the platform in two seperate votes. Against the very will of his own supporters the Democratic Party elitists….even after publicly voting not to pass the amendments DECREED them passed and added to them platform. I simply do not understand why that act alone did not scare everyone in that room.

    • Doc Sarvis

Because apparently it was a minor point of debate. If you saw the President’s speech last night you would get the clear impression that nobody was thinking about one word in the party’s platform.

      • Winddrinker

You are right, Doc, GOD was only a “minor point.”

The entire DNC was nothing but an “explanation of FAILURE” very dull and boring! This was the most disorganized, dismal effort at presenting a failed administration as a winner. And, let me tell you that the speech given by obumscum was the “LOW POINT.”

The only two accomplishments they had to talk about were the “auto industry and bin laudin!” Are you kidding me! How about mentioning the rising taxes, rising unemployment, devaluation of our currency, the $16 Trillion debt….why didn’t the real problems of this country get addressed!!

      • eddie47d

Allowing GM to totally fail and then allow the Romneyites(Bain) to come in and cannibalize the company for millions in profit without growing the company back would have been worse. We now have a top company back in action instead of a few millionaires making themselves billionaires by destroying that business. Ask American Pad and Paper Company how that works.

      • Doc Sarvis

        Winddrinker,
Most of the reviews, outside of Fox, have been great for the DNC. They touched multiple times on President Obama’s lowering taxes on small business (14 times or some figure like that), private sector job growth (not enough but in the right direction), the repeal of DADT, prohibiting insurance companies from denying coverage due to a pre-existing condition, getting our combat troops out of Iraq (where they should not have been in the first place, etc.

      • gunner689AI

bankruptcy would have been the best thing for GM. They could have broken all those incedious union rules and gotten rid of the 30 % deadweight they were forced to carry. they could have rebuilt and become profitable again.

      • eddie47d

It’s the Corporates who own and run the company. That is where the dead weight is sitting in their shinning office towers while those hard working union guys build the product. I say more pay for those doing the work and less for those to dogs.

      • eddie47d

        (top dogs)

      • DaveH

No Eddie, it’s the Unionists who are the Dead Weight. If they weren’t they wouldn’t need to form a gang and coerce an employer to pay them more than they’re worth in Voluntary Markets.

      • Winddrinker

Eddie, businesses that fail, should not be bailed out with money confiscated from hard-working taxpayers…that includes the auto industry…fannie and freddy…AIG….or any ot the others. And, no, GM (government motors) is not profitable and they are talking again about another getting another bailout.. Government motors still owes the American taxpayers a debt, if it is so profitable how about paying that back…with interest!

I don’t want a government that tries to act like an investment company. The government can’t run anything, but most importantly IT IS NOT THE GOVERNMENTS MONEY! Look the demonrats can’t even put together the DNC without making it look like a bad “highschool play.”

Personally, to make everyone happy let us do what was done in 1861. Divide the country and let us see who leads without being able to slit the others throat. I’M SICK OF BOTH PARTIES. We need to return to doing what is best for AMERICA not seeing what we can get away with.

    • gunner689AI

Great idea ! let the demorats all move to the blue states and the republicans and independents move to the red states. each group can set up their own rules of operation. Who do you think would fail and who would succeed ?

      • Winddrinker

Here is how we could do it gunner….

American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950′s, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course.

Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right so let’s just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement.
After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

We don’t like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, we’ll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military.
You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore andRosie O’Donnell (You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them).

We’ll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies,Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens. We’ll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO’s and rednecks. We’ll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood ..

You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we’ll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us.. You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we’ll help provide them security.

We’ll keep our Judeo-Christian values.. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N.. but we will no longer be paying the bill.

We’ll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We’ll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right. We’ll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I’m sure you’ll be happy to substitute Imagine, I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya orWe Are the World.

We’ll practice trickle down economics and you can give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we’ll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I’ll bet you Answer which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

        Sincerely,
        John J. Wall
        Law Student and an American

P.S. Also, please take Ted Turner, Sean Penn, Martin Sheen, Barbara Streisand, &
        Jane Fonda with you.

        P. S. S. And we won’t have to press 1 for English.

Think about this: 1861 & 2008 share a lot in common. A tall, skinny lawyer from IL, but who was born elsewhere, has deeply & irrevocably divided our country, using the issues of race & financial well-being. Brother has turned against brother & father against son, all because of a lying SOB who is idolized by the intellectually bankrupt. The re-election followed by the assassination of one was at the end of open hostilities the first time, w/hard feelings still evident today, passed down from father to son. If obama gets re-elected or not, look for bloodshed & hard feelings for generations to come. Hopefully THIS time America has learned to NEVER elect another reiver from IL to the Oval Office. In 1900 my great grandfather disowned my great aunt because she “married a damned Republican from Kansas”, & “fergit, HELL” bumper stickers are still popular today. United we stand, divided we fall.

    • Winddrinker

Butch, you are right. Lets give all the derelects, baby killers, criminals, and retros to the demonrats and see what happens… We will take GOD, our bibles and our guns, the working Americans that are the producers and the innovators and see what happens..

It would be a great experiment…but we all know how it would end. Marxism ALWAYS FAILS and it always will.. They would come crawling when they got hungry because no one would work, or have the intellect to accomplish anything, even if they had the inclination..

You out there who despise abortion and same sex marriage and call others living perverted lifestyles because they believe these issues matter to them and all other personal matters that disagree with you so called Christian claims. Read Revelations if you can read, it is in there. No one has the right to judge anyone on this earth but our Lord and God, who is all forgiving and not for you to decided, none of you. You all are a joke and should never call yourselves Christians again. First both parties are full of it, you and I both know it. It depends on who writes the best speech and delivers it well even if it is all bull…. There is no real answer to all our governments’ problems or someone would have figured it out by now. It is all a big fight on who is right. By the time each resist the others answers no one wins and even the right answer because it wasn’t decided by their party. Obama care with its fault is a start and we need to start somewhere. Ignorant when someone doesn’t agree with you, ha ha, who is really ignoranat here, when you can say our President has disgraced us? You mabe, for your way of thinking, but certainly not me. He is our President and he is not perfect but the fact remains he deserved the respect as OUR PRESIDENT and only the ignorant could place themselves in a position to not do just that.. And we are still living with Bushs’ repercussions to 8 years of past decions no blame, just a fact. And don’t worry there are a lot of intelligent people out there and will make the right decision to vote with a conscience for the best man.

    • marie

H Johnson, we are not to judge man in many ways, but we can judge and comment on evil.God said we are not to hate the sinner, but can hate the sin. And abortion, gays and other things God has said don’t do are wrong and we have every right to say they’re are wrong.

    • Cameron

Dude, I can read, but you sure as hell can’t write! You have incomplete sentences & misspelled words galore in your diatribe. Let me just guess for fun: you’re a Methodist? Right?? It really doesn’t matter, because you have misinterpreted every word & phrase in the Bible to suit your beliefs. That is my opinion, but God WILL judge you (AND me) not me

    • Winddrinker

H, First, you haven’t a clue what you are talking about. And, if you like the perverted lifestyle, that is your problem, not mine. I don’t have to condone it and won’t.

Second, obumscum care provides for the funding of a personal “Private Army” for obumscum, separate and equal to the U.S. Military. Obamacare will pay for this. It allows the government to confiscate privately-owned gold. Obumscum care adds another Twenty-Two taxes the Government can collect and increase in size every year on individuals. It provides a big increase in the amount of money that insurance companies are going to collect, as it Mandates that all Americans must buy health insurance whether they want it or not even if they can’t afford it.
And, to add insult to injury, the government has given the IRS the power to enforce this Mandate and all the other crazy, unconstitutional mandates that has been put in this “Healthcare Bill.” Individual bank accounts will be available to the government so that they can make withdrawals whenever they want…your money, your life, your health, your property will no longer be your own… Wake up and start finding out about what is happening.

So It appears we’ve come down to “God” and what “God’ can do, ~ who’s got him and who has not!

Well? ~ what can i possible say! Screw the issues! let’s talk about God!

It would appears God required defending!

When you don’t command the high ground on the issues , God is a great diversion.

“That will keep them lathered up and occupied for a while! ”

I feel like I might be a passenger on a sinking ship and the discussion is about “what’s for dinner”?

    • Hedgehog

Deerinwater; at last someone who sees the mess the US is in, the way I do. As a Canadian, I’m outside the store, looking in the window and I wouldn’t buy what either of the vendors are selling. I think the solution to your problems are all contained in your Constitution. You have the constitutional right, and DUTY to protect your country from tyranny and unconstitutional government by force of arms if necessary. Regardless of whether there is or is not a GOD and regardless of whose side GOD is on, I am certain that GOD is on the side of your Constitution. Go back to your roots and clean out your traitors in Washington.

      • Winddrinker

Passengers on a sinking ship are what’s for dinner, the sharks’ dinner that is. As Brer Fox told Brer Rabbit as he was heating up the pot of water, “I’d jus’ LOVE to have you fo’ dinner! MY dinner, that is!” God is absolutely essential to the continued success of America & every other free nation on Earth. Don’t like it? You don’t have to, but you have NO RIGHT to force others to give up their belief & reliance upon Him.

      • Karolyn

I didn’t see anybody asking anybody to give up their beliefs. Everybody has a right to be wrong.

      • eddie47d

NOBODY is stopping Cameron from going to church on Sunday,NOBODY!

      • Cameron

K, when will you open your eyes & see that is exactly what the atheists want, NOBODY to have the right to exercise their faith in religion, by deleting God from ALL references. & eddieboy, while nobody is forcing me to go to church, you needn’t try to stop me either by removing God from being worshiped here in America. If YOU don’t want to go to church, pray, or believe in God or anything else, that’s your choice & I have no problem w/it. I believe you are wrong, you believe I am wrong, but neither of us has a right to force the other to do as we want. Removing God from ANYTHING, schools, government, everything IS forcing others to do as you wish. If you don’t want to acknowledge God’s presence, then ignore others when they do, but you can’t make me ignore Him.

      • Karolyn

Cameron – God does not need to be recognized in anything public to exist. God exists within us. You are not being forced to do anything!

      • DaveH

        Cameron,
You don’t know what the Atheists want. They are a politically diverse group of people, just as religious people are.
Yes, there are people who want religion removed from Society, but more than likely they are the Progressives who see religion as an obstacle to their Power.
If you value your Freedom, Cameron, then you need to get that straight. It’s going to take all the people we can muster to get Freedom back, and you don’t help the cause of Freedom by driving away those who just don’t share your religion.

      • Winddrinker

DaveH, I think you read cameron’s post incorrectly. He is NOT excluding people that don’t share his religion…or is he refusing to work with them.

I understood his post to say that he didn’t want non-believers to have the power to stop him from openly celebrating his religion…Banning Christmas carols from schools, banning crosses or religious symbols and taking GOD out of the public view and hide HIM as if we are ashamed to follow HIS word. Tolerating a secular environment, to replace the Christian religion is not the answer. It is not the right of a small minority in this country to change the way we have celebrated our religion in the past.

Nor is it what I would imagine that GOD expects his followers to tolerate. If you haven’t noticed, there appears to be a war on Christianity from the marxist left. The “marxist playbook” instructs to destroy religion, the family, the moral fiber of a nation…demoralize the people and give them no place to turn for support. Then, turn the people against each other…the last act before the country succumbs to their evil, GODLESS doctrine.

All of this is entertwined and must be dealt with as one movement. Allowing Christianity to be minimized is a huge step in the wrong direction. The removing of Christianity takes many forms, some are seemingly small acts, but none of them should be tolerated by Christians. They must stand for their beliefs, no matter how the issue is presented.

So, Christians and their religion deserve the respect of non-believers. There must be a mutual regard for the beliefs of others. Stop trying to make GOD ILLEGAL anywhere in this Christian Nation! You don’t see Christians demanding that other religions/beliefs be sent to the closet where they can never be seen or heard..

  • Chester

Swampfox and company must LOVE the Republican party to call it and its members such names. Yes, Swampfox, I read your rant, and it can just as easily be applied to the Republicans as the Democrats, or any of the other mini-parties, including the Satanists. If you are going to spout trash, make sure it can NOT bounce back in your lap before opening your mouth. For those who claim, with absolute certitude, that the Democratic Party is anti-Christian, would seriously suggest you go out and MEET some Democrats before making such a broad, and FALSE, statement. There was a time when the Republican party actually admitted that there were other godly people than the ultra-right evangelists who own the Tea Party segment, and control a large and growing segment of the whole Republican party. Whether YOU like it or not, there are probably as many Christians in the Democratic party as in the Republican party, but the Democrats don’t make a huge thing out of the individual’s religious beliefs. When one side refuses to admit a certain group has any right to exist, they wind up going to the other side just to be allowed some say in what happens to them.

It really makes little difference what people SAY they are. It’s their actions that count. I have seen few religious people that come anywhere close to living their Moral Code as defined by the Ten Commandments. They SAY they think theft is wrong. Then they elect Politicians who steal other peoples’ money. They SAY they think killing is wrong, Then they elect Politicians who send soldiers overseas to kill other people (and be killed).
      Actions speak louder than words.

      • Cameron

We do need to elect better public servants, but the word “politician” is same as saying “liar”. We are all human & fall short of the glory of God. Unfortunately some fall way shorter than others. Read & study your Bible for a better understanding, if you care to,

I’ve gotten to the point of not being politically correct any more. You are an idiot or blind. The unemployment came from the Bush Adm.- when we were losing over 700,000 jobs per month – but you either didnt have a tv nor computer. The recession started under your dear Bush – so did the useless wars and the huge tax cut for the wealthy that I’m sure did you a great deal of good. I hope you are enjoying your new mercedes. Bus paid a bunch of you $300 – $600 to vote for hime than took it back the following year. Thats how stupid you all are. I’m glad the president hasnt do anything for you. You can stay with your god, your gun – that your child can use to shoot up a school, your hate, ignorance and your ulcer and high blood pressure this black man causes you.

i watched 3 nephews graduate without God being invited to the proceedings with an invocation prayer. they used to have these prayers but then cut them out because some atheist might be offended. these are people looking for a fight, they run right to the aclu and suddenly the school district is hit with litigation. you would think though that at this critical juncture in their lives the graduates, whether high school or college, would want whatever heavenly blessings they can get. there are all kinds of twists and turns in life, as even dems would agree, and if you have God on your side you can trust that it will all work out, or at least you can make a case if it doesn’t. if we’re just living in a black empty universe really you are no different than a speck of sand in a walmart parking lot, that’s 400 trillion light years across, and counting. so with that perspective how can it really matter what happens to whom. as an atheist what you are really doing is believing that family, friends, everyone are dust in the wind.

    • eddie47d

There are many religions represented at colleges and an avocation (neutral) should be given to bless all who are entering into their new endeavors. Once they start their new life (job, etc) it’s up to them to choose the God they want to follow or no god at all.

  • dan luster

I’ts not out of libertarianism the Democrats left God out of their platform. The First Ammendment was written to protect religion from the state, not the opposite. Look at the history of Great Britain in the 17th century; it’s filled with persecution of religious minorities. These sects ( Catholics, Puritans, Quakers et.al.)fled to the colonies. No the left wants to replace the worship of God with that of the state. The new liturgy is central planning, post modernism, multiculturism, secular humanism and moral relativism. Tithing is now defined as forcing others to relinquish their property through expanded state power, not giving of oneself. I’ll never forget the 2008 bumper stickers: In Obama we Trust; One Nation Under Obama. They may as well ask us to worship Baal or Nero!

The only reason I ever even see this “forum” is because I open Bob Livingston’s emails every day to read what Wayne Allyn Root, Ben Crystal, Chip Wood and others have had to say. It’s a web site funded by a conservative person, Mr. Bob Livingston. Occasionally I read a few replies in the forum which is under each article; what I see in this forum reminds me of why this country is in such a sad shape today; every day, in every forum, I see idiots, the likes of Eddie47d, Karolyn, Robert Smith, H. Johnson, and today I see we have a few “new” idiots, such as Jon, Neil Swan, and so on, all attempting to convince other intelligent citizens that the traitor we have in the oval office is “just great”.

My question to all of you idiots is……….why are you even here ? you obviously despise conservatives, you obviously despise any mention of Christianity, you obviously despise any mention “getting rid of” the current “pretender-in-chief”, so WHY don’t all of you just go tune in to MSNBC and watch all of your liberal-idiot “idols” spew their liberal garbage ?
It would solve everything ! The intelligent, patriotic, conservative citizens on this forum wouldn’t miss you, they wouldn’t have to listen to your mindless blathering over and over every day, and you wouldn’t have to listen to them remind you that you are ALL a bunch of ignorant trolls. This is America and we are allowed to voice our opinions. I don’t usually see anybody promoting Obama. Rather, the people like me that you are referencing are pointing to differences. So why bother with a platform? If no one reads it (like Obamacare) why have one especially when that platform can be changed and accepted even before there is a vote (like Obamacare). Democrats don’t like God, Israel, success, religion, guns, military, wealth, corporations, banks, gas companies, motivated individuals, etc. They do like to increase taxing but deny they are doing that. They want to take care of and encourage the unmotivated who lack enthusiasm to do anything for themselves and, yet, the Democrats want everyone to have an equal opportunity. Democrats are a very confused group of people that I pity but, at the same time, they scare me.

  • alpha-lemming

This won’t be pretty, but I fear it must be said

Yes, the left is a Godless group and it fits perfectly with their desires. God, as a symbol of things bigger than us, must be denied, because at that point, the ONLY legitimate point from which to argue is…. “There is NO person, place, thing, occurance, or set of circumstanses anywhere in the universe that’s more important than ME”!! When a conservative is accused of being “obstructionist”… answer me…. what is the moderate, cross-the-aisle, bipartsan compromise available when I don’t consider you to be the most important thing in the universe?? There is none and in a perfect world I would choose not to associate with you but you’re the ones insisting I swim in the sewer with you.

This places me in a bit of a quandry, because the only thing that scares me more than your Communist utopia is a theocracy.

The Constitution is the ultimate document (and I think history will bare this out) written, unleashing the power of the individual. When you consider the USA has become a pre-eminant super-power in <200yrs vs. other societies/governments that have existed for millenia…… it's a pretty hard argument to minimize the power of the individual with these results. This is where morality (NOT religion) enters into the picture. One of the founders (I think it was Madison, but forgive me if I cited the wrong guy) stated something like… "The Representative Republic and the ability of the people to self-rule will ONLY work if overseen by a moral populace". Where does one go to learn how to live morally?? Here's a hint…… it ain't the "Communist Manifesto" or "Mein Kampf"…. might I suggest….. oh I dunno….. the 10 Commandments!!! Laws handed down by who???…. anybody???….

    G O D !!!!!! (And don't give me they're mans laws…. at least not 'til you can dis-prove Divine channeling….)

Ergo….. God (and his Commandments) is not just needed as part of the mix…. it's ESSENTIAL and must be CENTRAL. The "Holier than thou" types like to use them as a bludgeon, and the left…??? well….antecdotal evidence has shown, they believe in theft, murder, coveting, and idol worship… don't know why the remainder would be any different.

Thank you for allowing me my mini-screed…… I feel much better now.

“God” isnt’ mentioned in the Constitution, either.

As for the relative godliness of the two parties, I look to what they do and stand for, not the pious attitudes they may strike in public, for the public.

The Democrats seem to me more motivated by Christian impulses than the Republicans — they are more merciful and compassionate, and less judgmental. They do not call homosexuals “perverts”. They do not find it tolerable that tens of thousands of their fellow Americans have been dying every year for lack of the medical care that is obtained through health insurance.

The Republicans, in contrast, see to have a world view that is more Darwinian than Christian. In the struggle for survival, let the fittest survive – if need be, at the expense of the less fit. If they draw inspiration from any variety of Christianity at all, it would have to be a severe form of Calvinism, which holds that prosperity is a mark of God’s love, poverty and failure a mark of his scorn.

Not, the Republicans are not more Christian or godly — just more Pharisaical.

Sorry, Jesse Fell, but God is mentioned twice. We hold these truth to be self- evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator [ God] with certain unalienable rights… and the other one is metioned in the oath of office…ending with, so help me God. Oops, one more. After varoius abuses suffered by the British King, the representatives of the Continental Congress, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence [ God], declared themselves to be free and independent.

As the old saying goes “MISERY LOVES COMPANY”. All these misguided people who do not believe in God or a future life only have this MISERABLE existence to believe in, and they cannot stand the thought of we believers solaced by a loving, merciful God that wishes to share eternity with us. Wake up, brothers and sisters. Follow the golden rule and just obey 10 simple commandments and that my friends is pretty cheap insurance IN CASE IT’S ALL TRUE.

Pepe,,,good idea but IF you want to be one of the King’s servants ,,you MUST do what The King and His Key Man says at Acts 2:38… Other wise you may end up at Matthew 7:22-24… Then what?
Praise King Jesus for Salvation and Healing …

The media already is obsessing about how many times the word “God” is used in each party’s platform as a measure of faith or religiosity, as if crying “Lord, Lord” and vain repetition has replaced obedience to God’s command to love our neighbors. And yet, it’s the actions of each party during the last four years that gives us true insight into who and what is important to them, much more than what gets written down on a party platform or said in speeches during these three-day self-congratulatory celebrations.
What it records Jesus saying is, “As you have done to the least of these, you have done to me.” Chances are that will never be the central message of political conventions during election years.

What is strange is that by Obama’s Insistence God was put back in the platform and the recognition that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel when put to a vote all heard how the delegates boo’ed the mention of God ….but it was their very candidate (Obama) who wanted it in there…this shows of their hypocrisy…why it was put back is obvious Obama can not win without the help of the Christians and was pandering again to them…Fact check that …Obama wanted God in his platform becuase he will pander to anyone to get re-elected

    • Karolyn

      Oh, please, they all pander!

I do not think for 1 minute that this article applies to ALL democrats. But I want to address those democrats who it doesn’t apply to. It WAS OBVIOUS that the MAJORITY of the democrat party Delegates (The framers of the party’s values and stand) WANT GOD OUT of the platform! Most of the democrats I know if not all a christian people. There parents were christian people and supported the democrat party for at that time the party’s values were christian too. This party that carries the name democrat is NOT YOUR PARENTS PARTY. They would not support it and you shouldn’t give this stolen party your support either. It wasn’t that long ago that President Kennedy ran the communists out of Cuba. Now the communists have positions on the President’s staff or appointed as czars. Some of your fathers and possibly your mothers fought to stop the communist movements. Think about that. Then think about your vote.

Throughout modern history Illuminati bankers have used “sexual liberation” to subvert society and establish their subtle tyranny. As Masonic revolutionary Guiseppe Mazzini said, “we corrupt in order to rule.”

The Illuminati bankers need to introduce “world government” to translate their unjust monopoly over credit into total world control.

They realized that they couldn’t take control until they destroyed the family. This was a central plank of the Communist Manifesto in 1848.

Every major “revolution” in modern history has increased Illuminati banker control and the sexual revolution is no exception.

The bankers have encouraged sexual dissipation using their various “progressive” fronts: liberalism, feminism, socialism and communism.

The great appeal of left wing movements has always been the lure of “free” sex (i.e. free of the restraints of love & marriage.)

    How is free sex subversive?

A healthy society is concerned with its survival and the propagation of its values. This requires that new generations are born and raised in a healthy manner, i.e. in a nuclear family. In a healthy society, women are honored for nurturing and educating the young, a role for which they are naturally suited.

Thus, the bankers set out to undermine and disparage women’s role as wives and mothers.

They extolled “sexual liberation” because promiscuous women are less dedicated to family, and less attractive and suitable as wives and mothers. Furthermore, if sex is freely available, men have much less incentive to marry or be faithful .

Women were brainwashed to think they were being “exploited” by their family and should seek fulfillment in career instead.

The bankers used paid subversives like Betty Frieden and Gloria Steinem and the mass media to make it seem that Feminism was a spontaneous occurrence.

At the same time, they severed sex from marriage and procreation and exalted romance as the main source of fulfillment. Hollywood practically has angels singing hosannas when the stars have sex. It created this bogus religion.

Sex is a natural function like eating food. If we didn’t have food, we would think about nothing else.

Because of the gender confusion (caused by Feminism) many people are sex starved and are obsessed with it. As a result, society suffers from arrested development manifested as an obsessive adolescent preoccupation with bodily functions, genitals, pornography and homosexuality.

If we have plenty, we know that divorced from love, “sex is the biggest nothing in the world.” (Andy Warhol)

Similarly, romantic love is mostly infatuation based on the expectation of some great advantage (usually sex or security.) I have seen businessmen generate the same kind of heat while making a lucrative deal. But, like AOL-Time Warner, romantic mergers often go sour.

A marriage based on sexual attraction is like a chair with one leg. True love is based on character, personality and trust, tested over a long period of time.

The inflated status of fertile young women is another characteristic of our Illuminati-induced dysfunction. These women remind me of poker players recklessly overplaying their hand. They have lost the capacity for love, and sex is a paltry substitute.

Their dependence on their sex appeal is very risky. The shelf life is short and the competition is fierce. Jaded males look at 1000′s of practically identical naked women on the Net these days without being turned on.

Increasingly they need drugs to respond and I suspect disgust with women is the unconscious reason. Viagra and Cialis sales are in the billions.

Does it make sense to use these drugs?

Socrates said that when he no longer had a sex drive in old age, he was “released from the jaws of a wild beast.” Why would any man take a drug in order to be captive once again?

Hormones generated by the testes cause the male sex drive which takes control of our minds. How powerful are these hormones?

Most young men would agree that their sisters are barely tolerable. However, other men’s sisters are an endless source of wonder and fascination.
What’s the difference? Sex of course.

Are there harmless drugs that could suppress the production of these mind-altering sex hormones? Perhaps they could be made widely available to young men.

Then women, deprived of their magical spell, could be seen clearly and men could concentrate on something else. When a man falls in love based with a total human being, he could go off the drug.

Of course, a better solution is for men and women to marry (or establish a long-term loving relationship) at a much younger age (i.e. 18-20) like they used to.

People decry marriage because sex declines in importance over time. I thought that was the purpose of marriage.

Sex belongs to an age-and-stage, i.e. courting and procreation. We weren’t meant to be obsessed with it for our whole lives. There are much more important and interesting things to do.

Modern women are the victim of a monstrous hoax perpetrated by the Illuminati bankers and their lackeys in media, government and education.

Women have been defrauded of a secure and essential social role, that of wife and mother. In exchange they have accepted the role of sex objects and worker drones.

They tart it up with terms like “freedom” and “independence” but many are lonely, bitter and increasingly desperate. They have been cruelly duped by an evil power. Consequently, to varying degrees they have betrayed themselves, their husbands and their children. (I don’t object to women pursuing careers, only putting them before family, if indeed they want one.)

Sex is used by the Illuminati as a reductio ad absurdum. Everything good in life, all relationships, culture, love, caring, justice, beauty, and intelligence; is flattened by what has become a sick societal obsession.

The Illuminati use sex to corrupt and debase. The pornography that floods our in-boxes is part of a widespread campaign to degrade us. A morally degraded people are a weak people, and a weak people are easily disinherited.

We are not content with negative obedience, nor even with the most abject submission. When finally you surrender to us, it must be of your own free will. We do not destroy the heretic because he resists us; so long as he resists us we never destroy him. We convert him, we capture his inner mind, we reshape him. We burn all evil and all illusion out of him; we bring him over to our side, not in appearance, but genuinely, heart and soul. We make him one of ourselves before we kill him. It is intolerable to us that an erroneous thought should exist anywhere in the world, however secret and powerless it may be. Even in the instance of death we cannot permit any deviation . . . we make the brain perfect before we blow it out.

This man is Satan’s little helper. Proved how Godless he is at the convention. He is sliding down a slippery slope that will eventually lead to his demise….which can’t be soon enough for me. GOD WILL NOT BE MOCKED. He will answer for his liberal, sexist, perveted, baby killing, Godless, agenda. The man is EVIL. 4 more years of The Back Messiah and we will all be doomed. Funny the demoRATS seem to think that when the crap hits the fan, they will be immune. All his commie cronies better beware..if the KING retains his throne, after he has used you for his own needs, you too will be eliminated. Happens in every socialist country.Read the Illuminati and you will see exactly what this man and his cronies are all about. BEWARE a DEVIL in sheeps clothing, he will decieve and devour you and you won’t know what hit you. God has givven us many warnings in the Bible to beware of false profits and false Messiahs. There is one in the WH.
Wake up America…….fool me once. GOD BLESS AMERICA.

It may have been out of some respect fo Mitt Romney that religion wasn’t to be brought up in the campaigns. This is one more thing he doesn’t want to talk about for some reason, like taxes Bain Capitalhis economic plans .He just wants to keep the nonexistant cold war going and start a couple more with Syria and Iran.So I would have to say it is the Republicans that don’t want to talk about God, Joseph Smith and religion at all until after the elections.

Here is a plain and simple truth that words cannot deny, actions speak a lot louder than words and history shows (that with it’s anti-christian backed cronnies) the Democratic party has been sleeping with some strange and dangerous bed patners. Hollywood, ACLU, NAACP, Planned Parenthood (death trap), Atheist groups (most environmentalist, scientist), homsexuals (which God calls an abomination Leviticus 20;13) When God gave Moses personal laws for the children of Israel in the Old Testament here’s what he says (13) If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a women, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them (God doesn’t take sin lightly. Jews where judged immediately upon the sin and at times the whole nation was judged and punished. For us to think that God will take our sin lightly we are sadly mistaken. Paul talks about God’s judgement in Romans chapters 1-2. In Romans 14:11-12 we read For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. (12) So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. In Hebrews 9:27 we read And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after that the judgement. Matthew 16:27 Jesus says The Son of man shall come in glory of his Father with his angels and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Acts 17:31 Paul is talking to the Athenians in this chapter beginning in verse 22-33. In verse 31 here’s what Paul says Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead (Christ). The point being God takes sin very seriously and will judge man and the nations at some point in time.

“YOU CAN FOOL SOME OF THE PEOPLE ALL OF THE TIME”…
When reminded of these words, I realize that about half of our population is…just stupid!

  • Ad Man

Maybe it’s time for another country!

    • snoops57

No, not really. God at some point in time will judge us as indiviuals and he will judge the nations of the world. Romans 14:11-12 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. (12) So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Matthew 16:27 Jesus says For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Acts 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

I’m firmly convinced that one of the reasons the Demo politicians support abortion and bad lifestyles is because they hope it will encourage some nice looking woman to go to bed with them … and if she gets pregnant, she will abort it so they won’t have to worry about bad publicity and child support.

The only thing I found is that those christians who go around tooting the christian horn are the most hypocritical, nasty, hatefull, evil, spitefull, judgemental, ignorant, and selfish people of all. Now understand why the phrase “god fearing” is used when talking about christians. Of course they have to god fearing – with all the lying, cheating, hating, and judging they do – they know god has their punishment – and its not the pearly gates…..

    • swampfox

yeah god has my punishment, its covered by the blood of Jesus and i do not have to fear judgement.

I was always taught God is everywhere he doesn’t need an invitation. What address did the Republicans use when they sent out their invitation to God?Do they have an exclusive mailing list for all the prophets and a mailing address for Joe Smith. It really is not wise to mix religion and politics especially in today’s world when their is such a large number of different religious beliefs and they all think they are right.Even the Mormons believe if you are not a Mormon you are a heathen and a pagan, the cross is a pagan symbol and they would laugh at you if you told them a story about a virgin named Mary having a baby.

  • R. H. Fritz

OK children here is what you need to know. A free nation, cannot survive, without a moral populace. Freedom is the right to help others when they have an actual need, not the “right ” to do whatever feels good. What progressive liberals desire, is the license to do whatever they please, without regard to the rights or feelings of others.
The natural laws, which were used to craft our nation’s constitution and bill of rights are actually 10% freedom and 90% responsibility. Progressives like to point out the 10% and ignore the 90%, the government of these United States was never intended to be a charitable orginization, it was designed to stay out of the way and allow religious and civic organizations provide charity. The progressive liberals want the government to provide all these things, but as a means to buy votes for their immoral agenda, and not as a true charity.

The Fraud in the WH is, a card carrying communist and there is video proof of this fact, his student ID card from Columbia U states plainly under his picture, “Foreign Student”, so who paid for his education, why is he in the WH when he has no BC? Now if you who oppose me on this are real smart, then pony up a valid BC for this clown and then tell us all how his SS# is one from Conn. when he has never been known to liv in Conn. and why is his passport in question, his book bio states he is a Keynan, he was born in two difffernent places in Hi. Don’t you find that amazing he was born on three places at the same time and does that not make your head hurt?….We have to many stupid greedy people voting and to many pandering crooks in politics…

  • Cari Solo

I understand why conservatives would consider democrats the godless party. We dont have to live on our kness because o the lies and hate we preach – we dont have to be god fearing because our hearts are not filled with hatred. They need to have god in every word – between every hatefull word they utter. With all of the hatred, racism and evil conservatives spew – they truly need jesus. We democrats love every body – that’s what jesus would do…… The gates of hell are open and waiting for conservatives to sit at the right hand of their father (satan)..

They Are Not a Godless Party, They Are Just Fed-Up With The Religious Right Fundamentalist Who Have Hijacked Christianity! A Right Wing Group Of People Who Are Teaching a False Christianity. The Right wing Are Like The Scribes and Pharisees Which Jesus Pronounces Seven Woes Upon.
Jesus went on immediately, however, to point out their hypocrisy and commanded the people, “But do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not” (v. 3). He then cited the hypocrisy of the Pharisees. They lay heavy burdens upon the people but would not do anything to make the load lighter. Their own works were done to be observed by men rather than God. They made broad their phylacteries, the Scriptures which they customarily bound to their forehead and to their left wrist, containing the Scriptures of Exodus 13:3-16; Deuteronomy 6:5-9 and 11:13-21. This they did, not only when they prayed in the morning, but throughout the day, for the purpose of being seen of men. They also enlarged the borders of their garments, the tassels referred to in Deuteronomy 22:12, which were tokens that they were holy men.

Jesus charged the Pharisees with loving the best places at the feasts and the chief seats in the synagogue. They loved to be called rabbi, which recognized that they were teachers and scholars. Jesus reminded them that their Messiah, “Christ,” was their Master, and God was their Father. It is of interest that He referred to the Christ, or the Messiah, in Matthew 23:8, 10. What He was saying was that the Pharisees and scribes had forgotten the preeminence of God and of their Messiah

  • rtaylortitle

Which god(s) are you referring to? If you’d been born in Iran, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, et al…chances are you’d be a Muslim and believe Allah is the only true god. Mysticism (theism) is all irrational and all relative to TIME and GEOGRAPHY. Grow us and face the world as a true homo sapien. Man can create gods by the dozen, but can’t even create a flea.

well spoken, and I agree, a good example right here in america, is the africans that were captured, and enslaved in america, some of them were muslims but that silliness was beat out of them and replaced with the christian silliness!!!!!

The Democratic party is not “Godless” in the least. In fact, most of its members are not atheists or agnostics, although some are . And even if some are atheists and agnoistics, so what? Who cares ? There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being either of these things. .
And being a Christian of whatever denomination, is no guarantee whatsoever that one will be a good, decent, and honorable person. Some of th eworst scoundrels hide behind a facade of religious piety , and many atheists and agnostics are good people .
The party simply refused to wear its religion on its collective sleeve at the convention. So what? The Republicans were free to mention God all they wanted at their convention, but does that alone make them good people? Of course not . The party is full of vicious homophobes who are horribly bigoted people , though certainly not all of them are guilty of this.
The Democratic party does not “promote infanticide”. In fact, it very much wants to PREVENT as many abortions as possible. But its members are smart enough to reaize that you can never prevent abortion by making it illegal . And it’s absolutley disgusting to call advocating gay rights ” promoting perversion . This kind a blatant homophobia is no better than Nazi anti-semitism . According to the Republican party, “All men are created equal” – except for homosexuals, women and non-christians .
