The Biggest Lie Of The Year

No comment today on the results of the Iowa caucuses. Because of publishing deadlines, this column had to be turned in before we learned who garnered the most votes there. But you can bet I’ll have plenty to say about the race for the White House in the weeks to come.

Today, let’s discern the biggest political lie of 2011. My, there are so many to choose from.

I admit I was skeptical when PolitiFact — a popular feature of the Tampa Bay Times — said it was ready to declare the “Lie of the Year 2011.” After all, its record for bashing conservatives was pretty much unblemished.

Two years ago, the scribes who put together PolitiFact selected Sarah Palin’s comment about “death panels” as the biggest lie of 2009. In 2010, they once again sprang to the defense of Obamacare, pooh-poohing claims that it represented a “government takeover of health care” as the year’s biggest falsehood.

Given this history and the very liberal bias of the paper’s editorial section, I was prepared for one of the recurring themes you read about in Personal Liberty Digest™ to be their top target this time around.

So imagine my surprise when the paper declared that the “Lie of the Year 2011” was the Democrats’ claim that “Republicans voted to end Medicare.”

The brouhaha began in April, when Republicans in the House of Representatives passed Representative Paul Ryan’s plan to reform the hugely expensive government healthcare program. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee jumped on the issue. In a widely circulated Web commercial released just four days after the vote, it warned that senior citizens would have to pay $12,500 more each year for healthcare “because Republicans voted to end Medicare.”

In the most blatantly dishonest attack of all, the Agenda Project, a liberal activist group, produced a Web video showing a Ryan look-alike pushing an old woman in a wheelchair off a cliff.

The attacks continued, even though the Ryan plan was defeated in the Senate. In November, Nancy Pelosi — the vitriolic former Speaker of the House who was demoted to Minority Leader after the Republican victories in 2010 — sent out a fundraising appeal that read: “House Republicans’ vote to end Medicare is a shameful act of betrayal.”

(Hey, if you think the political debates got nasty last year, just wait until the Republicans settle on a candidate for President this year. If the Barack Obama partisans really do raise $1 billion for their guy, you can be sure almost every penny will be spent in the dirtiest attacks imaginable. After all, you can’t expect them to run on their record, can you?)

When PolitiFact first reported on the Democratic accusations, it found nine separate instances of factual inaccuracies. Some it branded as “False.” Others were so blatantly wrong they earned a “Pants on Fire” designation.

For the record, the Ryan plan would not have made a single change in Medicare for anyone who is presently on the program. Nor would anyone be affected who would be eligible for Medicare over the next decade. For anyone 55 or older, the program would be unchanged.

Yet virtually every Democratic attack ad talked about senior citizens or featured pictures and videos of elderly people who were clearly too old to be affected by the Ryan plan. It was some of the worst political demagoguery I’ve ever seen.

But I don’t think it was the “Lie of the Year 2011.”

No, I think the biggest lie of 2011 was “We’re going to cut spending.”

After more than two years of operating without a budget and just before heading home for the holidays, Congress finally passed an omnibus spending bill for Fiscal 2012. The 1,221-page beast calls for the expenditure of more than $1 trillion, yet doesn’t reduce Federal spending by a penny.

According to an opinion piece in The Wall Street Journal, there was only one major domestic program that cost  U.S. taxpayers more than$100 million that got the ax: the Department of Energy’s loan-guarantee program. Right, that’s the same one that cost U.S. taxpayers more $500 million when the solar-power favorite Solyndra went under. The total savings from eliminating this boondoggle was less than $500 million.

Meanwhile, spending on food stamps is scheduled to reach $80 billion this year –more than double the amount just five years ago.

Since it’s almost impossible for us to grasp the real significance of the numbers Washington bandies about so casually, let me put it in terms that every family in America can understand (some wag put this together). Let’s remove eight zeroes from the Federal numbers and pretend we’re talking about a household budget. If your family operated the same way Washington does, here is what it would look like:

  • Annual family income: $21,700
  • Annual family expenditures: $38,200
  • Increase in your credit-card debt: $16,500
  • Outstanding balance on your credit cards: $142,710
  • Amount you agree to cut spending: $385

If you ever heard of a family operating in this manner, wouldn’t you think they are almost criminally irresponsible?

In fact, wouldn’t you want to delete the word “almost” from my previous sentence?

There were a lot of big lies told last year. That should come as no surprise. As the joke says, “How can you tell when a politician is lying?” Answer: “His lips are moving.” Or in Pelosi’s case, her lips are moving.

In narrowing the field of falsehoods to the biggest of the big ones, I choose the simple promise “We’ll cut spending.” For most of my life, our political masters in both parties have willingly, even gleefully, participated in a massive conspiracy to rob from our children and grandchildren. They have saddled these innocent victims with more than $15 trillion in debt — plus many times that amount in promises our government has made but cannot possibly keep.

What is the single most important issue facing this country in 2012? I am convinced it’s stopping the spending.

That means electing enough people to the House and Senate who will no longer “go along to get along” — no matter who is in the White House.

That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it. What’s yours?

    Logic is rare in Washington. Common sense seems to have been outlawed in there. Now, it seems that if you can lie with a straight face and claim that you’re trying to bring ‘hope and change’ to America, you’re somehow above the law, you can be the consummate puppet without being criticized and even if you have plans to give away information to the Russians that will all but neutralize our defense missile capabilities, why, you’re a “cut spending” stud.
    It’s enough to trade Obummer for Putin (straight across). We’d almost have to get a better ‘leader,’ and the Russians could take their chances with a utopian twist on hope and change in the land of Lenin. Maybe we could sweeten the pot and throw in a herd of braindead economists and a pig sty load of ‘czars.’ I wonder if they’d get the irony.

            Truth be told eddie you’re figures are just as inaccurate. The number of gun owner and number of guns in the US are only guesses. Nobody knows what the nubers are, nobody…so whatever numbers are printed are just a guesstimate at best.

            Nobody knows precisely how many guns there are in the U.S. The only way to know with accuracy would be for the government to perform a surprise raid on every household simultaneously and to also search all buildings and likely hiding places at the same time and that ain’t gonna happen.

          Besides, the real war is being fought in the realms of consciousness, every day, as we go about our lives. There are very powerful forces opposing the evil ones, and every one of us who join them diminish the evil that much more.

          Don’t worry that most will mock you for speaking out. Such has been the way of every man who dared to give warning of impending calamity. The smaller minds of men are not capable of handling the enormity of what’s afoot. There are those of us who are with you, who know well of what you speak, and are with you. Take some comfort in that.

          Stand up tall, Freedom. There is a reason why you were chose to know these things. Have faith in that.

We have a Conservative Representative (Lundberg) in Colorado who wants to mandate by law that anyone seeking a divorce must have religious counseling. Now if two people dispise each other for whatever reason and then are legally forced to reconcile or try and make amends. Then wouldn’t that force them to accept bad behavior for the sake of the marriage. What if someone isn’t religious but is forced to accept religious counseling? It all sounds nice but should be on a voluntary and mutual basis not mandated.

          (1) Where did the term “religious” appear anywhere in the proposed bill? Please go to http://www.denverpost.com/legislature/ci_19662418 and http://www.denverpost.com/legislature/ci_19692872 The measure would have required educational counseling, NOT religious counseling.

          (2) Lundberg pulled the bill after tremendously negative feedback from Republicans and the public at large.

          Next time, try to tell the whole story and be accurate in your assertions. You did neither this time.

    This newsletter is so slanted. All bills are over 1000 pages long. All bills republicans put through are that large. That shows that this website reports biased slanted news. The bill that both republicans and democrats passed allowed people earning below $50,000 per year to continue to recieve a 2% social security tax cut from their paychecks. This comes out to about an extra $1500 per year in extra income. But all you republicans who make over that can not care that President Obama has helped the working people and that pisses you people off.

      Gary, there is a saying in our country which says the following: “BS baffles brains” and any piece of legislation longer that a few pages does exactly that. It is not what is said in these documents that is dangerous, it usually is what is not said that is dangerous. I am of the opinion that not only your country’s legislation does that, but every country in the world uses the same tactic. Politicians are very clever to hide their true intentions in large documents. Who reads those documents? I would imagine no one does. Have you studied the document under consideration? Can you summarize it in plus/minus 20 pages, I do not think so. Do you know what is hidden in those 1200 plus page, I doubt if even your representatives know what is contained in those pages. The first thing I think that you should require is that all legislation should be understandable and definitely not more than 300 pages. Come to think of it even 300 pages is to long.

Is that smart? We are going bankrupt. Furter, redistribution of wealth is not the answer and destroys motivation to succeed. Growth of our economy is the answer. And you can’t grow by raising taxes.           The fact that Congress passes bills without ever reading them, especially when they impact everyone so greatly and change the very meaning of what America has always stood for, should be a treasonable offense.

          It’s Congress’ job to write legislation, and yet, all they really do is entertain lobbyists and take bribes to do the bidding of corporations. They are told what bills to introduce and how to vote. They don’t even have to bother themselves with what’s in it, because they are automatically exempt. It’ just we poor saps who have to bear the brunt of their betrayal.

          FYI…. Ron Paul has been a Texas Congressman for 23 years. In that time he has introduced 620 pieces of legislation. One (that’s 1) has passed & become law. It was a bill that asked the Federal Government sell the Old U.S. Customs house in Galveston, Texas to the Galveston Historical Society for fair market price. It passed unanimously.       You want SS and medicare underfunded by 120 to 200 billion this year alone, did you evan try to research the cost to people who haven’t reached retirement age. Currently we contribute 4.2% of our salary and our company 6.2% for those making less than 106K a year, it use to be 6.2% and the same for our company.             It seems that our economic problems flow predominantly from two major very, very bad decisions. The Federal Reserve should never have been created and we should never have abandoned the Gold Standard!
            That being said, the whole world has subsequently followed us into this insanity to the point that the worlds economy is based on it. Were we to unalateraly decide to end the Fed and reinstitute the Gold standard, we would need to shread the bulk of our currency. We wouldn’t even be able to handle our outstanding debts, never mind dealing with our hugh deficits!While the idea of no Fed and having a solidly backed currency sounds wonderful, it’s idealistic and I’m reminded of Mr. Menckens observation “An Idealist is one who, on noticing that a Rose smells better than a cabbage, concludes that it will also make a better soup”.
            For this to become a reality it would take enormouse planning and multi- national cooperation. I doubt that we could muster enough global support. Our enemies would see it as a hugh advantage to eliminate us once and for all!

      Gary, If Obama truly intended to help the middle class, as he claims on a daily basis, the 2% tax reduction would’ve been from your federal income tax instead of the Soc. Sec. payroll tax. Soc. Sec. is already running in the red, so why reduce the taxes paid into it? Obama didn’t reduce fed. inc. tax because the ‘poor’ wouldn’t get the tax break. These are the same people who already get a tax return that is larger than the amount paid in because they get tax credits just for working and for having more children (Obama increased that in the stimulus). So, it was never about helping the middle class; it was about pretending to do that so he could get more votes. He and his team rely on middle class Americans getting all their news from the TV networks. Kudos to these people for watching the news instead of a sitcom rerun. Better yet, spend some time looking at the government’s own website for real facts like 40% of all babies born annually are born into Medicaid/poverty and 37% of all children currently live in poverty in the US. So, when you hear on TV how the overall poverty numbers have increased to 15%, you’ll know the real reason. Medicaid has doubled in the past 10 years because of this, so Medicaid costs about as much as Medicare. These are preventable issues that are ignored and the facts surrounding them are distorted.

            Flashy, Exactly what credits are higher eaarners getting? Once your income exceeds $125,000 you start losing deductions or they get pro-rated. If you make over $200,000 your only remaining deductions are charitable contributions, mortgage interest and property taxes – but all are pro-rated. You may be thinking about the lower tax rate on income from investments (vs earned income), but that rate is the same for everyone. The main difference is that rich people usually have more of that income. But, remember they had to take risk to possibly earn that income and if they lost money in their investment, they are only allowed to deduct $3000 of loss annually. Further, the people who take on that risk provide an entire area of funding for our country that can make or break our economy. Currently, most are sitting on their money, so the economy is not rebounding. Consumer spending (70% of our economy) has rebounded, as has business spending. Appreciate the rich, as they are the key to our economic survival. Also, $200,000 of income is middle class and not a lot of money if you live in an expensive area (which is precisely where most people making that income live).

            No doubt that the government has grown much larger but the thing is that in the 50′s the tax rates were higher. Much much higher on the wealthy and the Middle Class did fairly well,(the wealthy did too). Now the wealthy have lower tax rates and the Middle Class has to work harder to keep the boat afloat.

        The wealthy in this country pay almost all the taxes now. Wyh do you think they should pay all the taxes in this country. Some of these people lived in poverty and made sacrifices to educate themselves and make thier companies into what they are today. They also contribute most of the Charity in this country. What is with you people that think the 46% (about) that do not pay any taxes should be increased. We have an illegal immigration (along with increased crime and health problems) in this country that has more than contributed to this problem. Did you know that 1 of 4 people in this country retire on less than 900. dollars a month? Some of those people planned thier retirements only to get screwed over in this economy!! !!!             That video is a matter of opinion not fact. Obama promised that bills would be online for 5 days for review. The Republicans said that in the GOP Pledge to America that all bills would be online for review for 3 days. Most bills are online but who’s review period is being followed. The other thing is that whoever voted for a bill can also be found online so that can’t be considered a lie. That strikes that video down as political propaganda even if some truth is being told.

        For instance, take employment, the Government could confiscate all wealth and fully employ the entire population in Government. I doubt even the most pie-eyed Liberals would think that a good thing for anybody except a small group of Leaders and their pals.
        A much more valid comparison is between countries that spend the least on Government and those who spend the most on Government to see which have the most robust economies. That is the bottom line.
        Hong Kong, for instance, spends about 18% of its GDP on Government and they have a robust economy with almost no natural resources of their own. The US on the other hand has vast national resources, spends 40% of its GDP on Government, and now has a economy that is mired in the mud.

He could have pushed through all kinds of bills to heal this nation with no opposition. Is the country better off with Obamacare? When exactly has the government run anything successfully? There is a story going around that a house of ill repute was taken over by the government and still lost money. Is the country better off with more government control and restrictions. Ask any businessman in America how much better off they are now as opposed to before Obama. That’s why we are unemployed. No business can afford to hire more people due to government restrictions. More businesses are moving out of the country to avoid all the rules and laws of the government. Can you really blame them? Is the country better off by raising the debt limit to such a high number that we will never be able to pay it off? Did we give Obama a chance? We sure did and look what happened.

          Actually the TARP was passed and signed onto law by Bush in 2008. It failed to have rules spelled out so big bonuses went to executives when they failed in performance. The auto industry received and paid back big bucks along with putting many Americans back to work paying taxes and off unemployment, etc. In order to close down a failed prision there needed to be funds to relocate it and a location, guess what, Congress failed to do either.

    CHIP. AMEN TO CUTTING SPENDING. The way our government is spending reminds me of a con artist our community had to deal with. He opened a bank account with a small deposit and when the checks came he proceeded to write$10,000 dollars worth of worthless checks in one day. He bought a lot of new equipment such as chain saws and then turned around and pawned them for cash. He was found out quickly and I was told most of the merchants got most of their products back. As far as I know, he is doing his time in the big house now; or at least I hope so, but the con artists in Washington, are for the most part, still in operation. One of the Ten Commandments is: “Thou shall not steal”. In case you have stolen anything, the Bible says in another place, “Let those who stole, steal no more.” WASHINGTON; CUT OUT YOUR THIEVING WAYS, as God is watching and “Be sure your sins will find you out”.

    one of the biggest disappointments for me was when the Tea Party was hijacked by the Republican Party shortly after Barack was elected. It was started in response to TARP and while it is a truly conservitive party, it stood against corruption on both sides of the aisle!     I can’t believe that O’Reilly let Rick Santorum get away with deigning that he said ‘black’ in his welfare comment, when he was on his show the other night. I saw the clip, he said it, and now he’s a damn liar! Don’t get me wrong, I like Rick, I just wish he would’ve had the nads to stand behind his other comments as vehemently as he deigned the ‘black’ remark. It did portray him as a racist, and probably justifiably so. As a Born Again Christian, I see Mitt Romney as a heretic! Mormonism isn’t a religion, it’s a cult!!! How are you going to throw your support behind a man who’s religion says that Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers?!! I can’t believe that no one has pulled the faith card on him yet! If he becomes the Republican nominee, let me tell you something, the network TV stations will become flooded with shows on the Mormons and their beliefs! Have you ever read Joseph Smith’s testimony? It’s available online, and is a fascinating story!

I find it funny that Democrats are pushing the religion button considering many are atheists.       Earmarks are but one of the means by which wealth is redistributed from one State to another. The 16th amendment overriding Article 1, Section 8 and 9, is but one of the means by which the Federal government has been destroying our individual economic freedom.     Get your info not from the MSM, who is biased and not willing to cater to those who love freedom as the MSM is funded by the same people who need you to be slaves to them. Get your info from books from writings of those who love liberty and freedom and free markets. Gov’t only skews everything and makes nothing better.     one thing i would like to know is how people figure the rich pay any taxes at all?the reason i say this is who has all the tax breaks and loopholes and ect and when they do get higher taxed they push it on to us the cosumer by raiseing the prices on everything . and as far as people saying that some dont pay at all how do you figure that one ? cause if you work for a company they take out taxes just look at you pay stub and onther thing is this we all get taxes tooken out but dont before april 15th dont you file for taxes and then get that money back for what they took from you? and blame the tax laws dont blame a person for not paying taxes because if you fall in a bracket and you only make so much you dont have to even file for taxes but that dosent mean they didnt take taxes out of what we earend it means what ever they took out they get to keep because we didnt have to file so we are the one who lost out because we didnt file taxes to get back the money they take from us. so i say this we all pay some kind of tax one way or the other but dont forget ya you paid in and they took so much from you for the year and didnt get to take much home but when the following year comes around you file taxes and get that money back that was tooken from you so the way i see it, it was a loan to the government and for what ever they would use it for then they paid us back when we filed for taxes . and to those that ended up owing more is cause you made more than you would of made any other year so you fell into the next higher tax bracket and therefor owed for what you made over. i think it would be better if we all band to gether instead of complainin about the other guy and make every one pay the same tax across the board . i think there should be no tax breaks for no one despite what you make . wheather you make 1,000,000,000 or one dollar we should all pay the same tax on that dollar and if you made a 1,000,000,000 then dont complain about how much money you have to pay in taxes for makeing 1,000,000,000 and expect to get a break, not only that is wher do everyone think all the money ends up at any way? it ends up in the top earners pocket because they are the ones with the bizz’s and ect so they shouldnt be complaing for how much get takein from them when they get it back the following year peace to every one cause we are going to need it.

    Five children were shot dead playing in a California schoolyard. Many others are wounded. The camera zooms in on the bloody scene, conveying dead bodies and panic driven survivors. Immediately, the camera pans to a close-up of a rifle. The reporter comments forebodingly, “The murder weapon used by the assassin was a deadly military assault rifle, a Chinese AK-47.” In the background are heard wails of grief and mourning.

    Exactly what happens inside your mind when you see and hear this scene on your television? Let’s take a closer look. Think of this article as a mystery story. You will recognize various clues along the way. By the time you reach the end, you will realize the answer to the questions posed above. You will also understand many secrets of the news media, mass marketing and mind control – secrets which people in high places would rather you didn’t know.

    Clue Number One:

    Perhaps you have heard about Ivan Pavlov’s famous scientific experiments with dogs. Pavlov fed a hungry dog, while at the same time he rang a bell. He did this repeatedly. Later, Pavlov discovered that just ringing the bell caused the dog to salivate. Think of it; no food just the tinkering of a bell and the dog’s hunger was awakened unnaturally. It salivated, that is, it reacted to the bell just as though food were really present.

    What does this have to do with the recent unprecedented hysteria to ban so-called “assault weapons,” you might ask. Simply this: the Pavlovian technique that has evolved into what we call social engineering works even better on humans. The reason is the denial factor— the fact that once programmed and corrupted by anything or anyone, the human personality will hold fast to programmed behaviors as if they were their own thoughts and beliefs and defend them to their death and even to the downfall of their own countrymen. In other words you can grow up as a communist and think you’re an American and vote in a communist, wherein the danger of losing your country lies.

    Let’s come back to the dog. In order to condition an animal to react to the bell as if it were food, it must first react to the food naturally. In other words, the dog reacts because it is hungry. After that, the ringing bell is associated with the food – repeatedly – and thereby captures the food’s power to stimulate the response from the dog. It’s called transference. So how does that happen with people? You simply talk to a person as if they were a dog, and so when they react repeatedly they will begin submitting to the demeaning source as if they were a dog, and unconsciously transfer their loyalty to the manipulator as though it were love and loyalty while denying the reality of their abject slavery.

    Your fault lies in your resentful reaction that opens the door to every sort of behavior or ideology. Sadly, you will be loath to be aware that your thoughts and your loyalties are not your own. This sort of conditioning began in your early childhood with impatient and demeaning parents and was perpetuated by school colleges and a corrupt media. Any individual or groups that can intimidate you and open the door to your mind can own you individually or collectively as a nation. Consequently, many will fight against their own country thinking that they are Americans when they are really communists. Of course, you could become an angry overreacting rebel, but then you would look as though you were crazy and so be no threat to the system.

    Our entire government makes me sick. There is absolutely NO concern over the good of the people by any of the congress, senate or current administration! They each are worried more about padding their own pockets (60 minutes stated our wealthy senators made more money during their terms than not becuase of insider trading!) and getting future votes than doing what is RIGHT for the people they are sworn to represent! I can see why Obama (the clown) signed NDAA into law. They can see the writing on the wall that people are getting fed up and are about to stand up to protect themselves from a maverick government which appears to becoming our domestic enemy. ALL people need to vote out all those in office and elect those who will stand up to stopping the spending by our loose canon government.

Charlie Rangel is the perfect example, how can the chief councilman of the Ways and Means Committee, the person responsible for writing our nations’ tax codes be found guilty of income tax evation for failing to report 17 years of income from an Antiguan rental property, be not punished to the fullest extent of the law?! I wonder what Redd Foxx would have to say? Now I’ll admit that I’m a nobody and that there are probably mitigating circumstances that are way over my humble little head, but is ignorance a justifiable defense? That’s what he’s claiming! Censured?! You’ve got to be kidding me! Nancy Pelosi looked more pained meting it out than Charlie did receiving it. And after it was over, it sure didn’t take him long to regain that ear to ear Rangel smile. Why didn’t they get really serious and put him in congressional time-out? What do you think about it Wesley? How about you Willie? Well I guess I might be being a little tough on old Charlie, who knows, he might’ve used Turbo-tax, huh Mr. Geithner? And what ever happened about the charges against Maxine Waters?!! Everybody just forget about old Maxine?

    The Constitution worked fine for 150 year until the federal reserve and the Federal Income Tax Act in 1913. Then in 1933 we had the Internal Revenue Service created.Once this occurred the government no longer worked for the people, the people started working for the government.today Almost 59% of Americans receive some type of government assistance when you includetown, city, state and federal employees they are a larger employer than the total public sector of workers.

      Bob have you ever seen the Documentary “America: Freedom to Fascism” by Aaron Russo? It came out in 2008 and you can probably still find it online. The late Mr. Russo was once the govenor of Nevada and a Hollywood producer, producing such films as “Trading Places” with Eddie Murphy. He died of cancer not long after the release of this film. It backs up everything you say!

    This may sound terrible but I now believe we will never come together in our beliefs of how this country should be ran. I believe the OWS
    and Dem’s should choose half of the United States and Tea party and like minded individuals will take the other half. We shall see which half is better for it. One side will be full of people who think they deserve to be kept for free. The other side will hold the Consitution
    as the law of the land. Lets stop the fighting:)

      Great idea, but needs work!

      Since we are having such a hard time dividing up the tax burden in an equitable manner much less the nation, I see some problems.

      Everyone should be allowed to contribute their fair share of taxes and feed, cloth and house themselves. But some 45 million can not without being subsidized. They pay no “Federal Taxes” but they do pay State, local and consumers taxes. Attempting to run a household on 12 to 14 thousand dollar and pay Federal Taxes too is a most trying preposition. I could only wish the federal government was as thrifty.

      It is the middle and upper middle that supports the two extreme ends of today’s social economic structure. We do so by OUR shear “numbers” as we are the only ones that can. The poor simply can’t give what they don’t possess and the wealthy too few in numbers.

      Now if you could take your magic wand and divide the nation by philosophical bias and predisposition why not use that same Magic Wand and correct all the disproportional inequities that created this huge divide?

      For there to ever be a “top” , there must be a “bottom” . What you are asking for is a “TOP” without a “Bottom”

      Some here sometimes speak of a Liberal Utopia and scoff. I do not scoff at your proposal of dividing the nation into regions of “like minded” people with some notion “your brand” might be the better and win out over time. I too would enjoy such a challenge.

      But you and I both know, that will never happen, leaving us to find the strength in our diversity and accept ourselves as being but one of many.

Income taxes were only supposed to apply to profits made by corporations but that all changed in 1913 with the FED! All the income taxes collected by the IRS go to pay the interest on the loans our government recieves from the FED. As Bob was saying earlier, everything that going wrong with our economy can be traced back to the creation of the FED. Six months before he was assassinated, JFK signed Executive Order 11110 basically stripping the Fed of all it’s powers. An order that is still on the books, but has never been enacted! I wonder why?

Also, it wouldn’t hurt your image if you were to tone-down your arrogant,i-know-it-all, let-me-educate-you, you-people-are-all-ignorant, attitude! Despite what you were told, and believe, you don’t wear it well!

          Who cares what it was meant to be. Let’s just abolish it, and get back to what the Founders intended. That is for the Federal Government taxes to be based proportionately to the population of the states. Basically, everybody should pay the same amount:
          Article I, Section 2:
          “Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers”.

    jerry moonbeam brown is now issuing visas for all u.s. citizens living in calif. we have to show a green card in order to vote and the voting precincts will be only spanish speaking, ya know, punch one for spanish.
    no american flags allowed, schools or otherwise. you will be given special consideration if you go for the same sex and really special if your partner is of an ethnic race. our state motto is now “do unto others if they are white”

    When you have cut all that you can cut and it’s still not enough you are left to have a hard look at the income side of the ledger.

    A readjustment of assets,liabilities and incomes and ask hard questions.

    How is it that we now live in a country that refuses to allow the rich to not be rich? We still have not addressed this “Too Big to Fail” problem. Attempts have been made but only to met strong resistance and token jesters.

      There is no such thing as “too big to fail”. We have the consitutional right to succeed and we have the right to fail. That was a big reason for the birth of the Tea Party, when the Bush administration approved the 700 billion dollar Tarp bailout, the Tea Party formed to say, “Hey, what the hell’s going on?!!” Although genuinely conservative, they stood against corruption on both sides of the asile. It really bothered me that shortly after Barack was elected they were hijacked by the Republican Party. There’s enough blame to go around. I say throw all the bums out!!!
      The American people do not realize the power we possess. Tired of the TSA’s intrusive procedures at the airport? Don’t fly for a week! Tired of high gas prices? Don’t drive for a couple of days! Want to fix our economy? Don’t buy anything that’s not made in the USA! Hit ‘em where it hurts!!! They’ll come around to our way of thinking. Men living high on the hog in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave by exploiting $14 a day slave labor overseas is fundamentally bullpussy!!! We are the only country on the face of this earth that was ever founded on the principle that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. Do you all grasp the gravity of that?! The only nation on the face of this earth ever founded on the principle that our rights don’t come from any place other than God!!! Making them undeniable!         Yep Tom . The whole scam gets out of control when one lie is issued to cover another. No matter if it is from an individual or a country full of polititions. If its a lie its a lie. Definately affects all of us. As far as us all being created equal , that is a fact . We were all born with no clothes on .. from that day on it became a matter of circumstances for individual survival. No two exactly alike.. Now we need to get down to serious buisness and get the T PARTY in hi gear , there are many of the old moss backs in the house and senate that MUST be replaced to get back on the right track. So just listen to any T PARTY candidate that may have what it takes to get the barrel rolling, and give them a hand.

    Do you not realize that big corporations are what runs this Country. I mean the damned Supreme Court ruled that Big Corps can give as much money to 1 candidate as they wanted. Thus buying that person off.

    Want to talk about jobs then how about we either end Clinton’s NAFTA or cut the jobs in half so we can bring in more jobs from overseas outsourcing. Almost everything made in this Country comes from China. China’s export to import ration is 10 to 1 which is BS.

    The biggest lie was by Bush with the white paper CIA where he falsely blamed Iraq etc. When the CIA’s report said they had no weapons of mass destruction to me that is treason against your own Country.
