Tea Party Movement Begins Convention, Blasts Obama And Democrats

February 9, 2010 by

Tea Party movement begins convention, blasts Obama and Democrats Leaders of the Tea Party movement gathered for their first-ever convention in Nashville, Tenn. over the weekend, ostensibly to criticize the Obama administration and to unveil a national organizing strategy for the midterm elections.

The event kicked off Thursday night with former Republican Congressman and presidential candidate Tom Tancredo’s speech in which he stated that illiterate voters determined the results of the 2008 presidential election, according to media reports.

"People who could not even spell the word ‘vote’, or say it in English, put a committed socialist ideologue in the White House," he said, adding that "his name is Barack Hussein Obama."

Tancredo also accused the president and the Democrats of trying to destroy the constitution and America and urged the attendees to "take it back."

However, the former Colorado representative also said that he was glad Republican Senator John McCain lost the election, saying it would have been a repeat of "Bush 1 and Bush 2," according to RTTNews.

The movement was launched last year in response to the stimulus package passed by Congress and signed by President Obama. Its website specifies that Tea Party Nation wants to preserve God given freedoms introduced by the Founding Fathers and believes in limited government, free speech, the Second Amendment, the military and secure borders.

I watched Sarah Palins “talk” at the convention and was quite proud of her. She did an admireable job, even if cjurtis is upset at her crib notes on her hand!!!! At least she didn’t have to read the whole thing off a teleprompter like Obummer!!!!

    • Harold Olsen

Yeah. The left criticizes Palin for making a few crib notes, which most people will do when making a speech. Yet, they think it’s okay that Obama is incapable of speaking without the use of a teleprompter and even then he is incapable of pronouncing words properly. This idiot is one of the most stupid people in the country, even more stupid than Jimmy Carter.

      • Spencer

        Hey Harold,

President Obama must be one of the most stupid people in America. Ha ha! He was the first black man to get elected as President. I don’t think he is that dumb. I think you should compare Iq test scores between yourself and him. I guarantee he is much more intelligent than you and most people in this country.
Jimmy Carter builds homes for “Homes For Humanity”. What do you do in your spare time?
It is people like you that make me want to leave this country.

        Spencer

        • Joe H.

          Spencer,
Let me tell you a little about habitat. Did you kno they have a minimum income of 20,000 dollars a year? We know a person that is handicapped and is on disability. she is at 18,500 a year and was turned down by them. yet I know a jerk that got one and was turning down overtime to qualify and got it!! Real good group your hero works for isn’t it? Obummer is spending this country into ruinand is doing nothing else except getting us closer and closer to socialism!!! I think you need to find better heroes dude!!!

        • Michael J.

          Spencer,
Sure Obama’s no idiot but he’s not an Einstein either.

And where would Obama be if not for the efforts of Acorn, George Soros and the Bilderberg Group? Night manager at Walmart more likely, where his organizing skills could be put to good use. I can hear him now over the store PA,”Mr. Reid, clean up on the health care aisle”.
Or maybe, “Ms. Pelosi, you are needed at register six”.

Also, for your information, Jimmy Carter builds homes with “Habitats for Humanity” not “Homes for Humanity”. I normaly do not point out typos, as we all make them, but when they occur in a post of someone who takes the time to comment on fellow poster’s intelligence quotients, I thought it relavent.

As for your final comment, “It is people like you that make me want to leave this country”, well… I guess I would advise Harold to endeavor to persevere.

          • Jana

Michael, Obama also lies. He lies so easily that we can now tell he is well practiced at it. I am glad the Tea Party Movement is bringing things to light and letting us all know we are not alone in our concerns.

I don’t think the Tea Party Movement needs to become a third party, but instead be a means for the public to become the watch dogs that we need to be to make sure all of our elected officials no matter what party they represent, are doing what they said they would do. They need to vote what the people want, not what ever their own petty or costly agenda might be.

          • BYRON LANG

I HAVE BEEN A REPUBLICAN FOR OVER 22 YEARS. THIS HAS REALLY MADE ME SICK. ALL OF US CLAIM WE ARE CONCERNED ABOUT AMERICA, WELL WHAT I SEE IS WE ARE NOT. WE ARE MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THE NEW PRESIDENT. ALL THESE DIFFERENT MOVEMENTS. THE TEA PARTY MOVEMENT ETC. WHAT IS ANY THAT GONNA DO FOR THE OVERALL GOOD OF THIS GREAT NATION OF OURS. WHAT WE NEED IS CONCERN FOR THE COMMON GOOD. I WAS SO UPSET WITH THE LAST ADMINISTRATION THAT I HELPED TO PUT IN, BECAUSE I AM A REPUBLICAN. WHAT DID THEY DO FOR US? THE NEW ADMINISTRATION HAS DONE THE SAME AS THE LAST. SPENDING, THE PEOPLE WE PUT IN THE LAST EIGHT YEARS HAS DONE NOTHING BUT ERODE OUR COUNTRY. THE SPENDING NOW IS NO DIFFERENT THAN THE FORMER GROUP. I THOUGHT BUSH WOULD BE DIFFERENT. THEY JUST SEEMED TO LINE THERE OWN POCKETS. THEY GOT NOTHING DONE.AMERICA NEEDS AN OVERHAUL OF EVERYONE IN CONGRESS INCLUDING THE SUPREME COURT.

        • JeffH

Spencer, why would you even mention that Obama is black, nobody else did. You, liberal hack, must then be a racist.

He’s half white and he’s not a natural born American. He has a muslim father and a marxist bend about him. All in all he is UN American in every way. And you think he got elected on his smart’s? No way, he got elected by special interest money that is hell bent on burning the American way of life to the ground. In other words…”If” he were actually eligible to be the POTUS he would be an absolute traitor to everything the US was founded on. But since he’s not eligible he is an imposter bent on burning down the USA. Smart? Not necessarily. Moral? Not at all.
I’ll take an American soccer mom over this interloper any day of the week. At least she understands what it means to be an American.

        • http://yahoo.com bargal

Spencer——Obama may have an advanced IQ but he has absolutely no leadership qualities nor does he have the sense to get in out of the rain. If he didn’t have Michelle kicking him in the butt each and every day he would have quit at half time. He has no grasp on what the hell he is to do and only does what he is doing because his minions tell him that it is the way to go. Hell, Pelosi is running the country at the moment, along with Harry Reid and he is sitting back waiting for the flack to hit and then steps back and blames his predecessor for the things that are going wrong. If you are a married man and or a father, you most certainly must know that if your wife and children are against everything you do and they threatened to walk out on you if you don’t change your ways, one would hope you have the common sense to listen and adjust before you find yourself out in the cold with no family. He doesn’t have the common sense to listen to the American people and will soon find himself in the cold and it is damn cold in D.C. at the moment

It’s my opinion that is the answer to the problem!

she’s no brain either! in fact she loves the american way even less than her husband! I just read this week that she lost her license to practice law.

        • s c

Thanks for the hearty laugh, Spencer. You assume that Peanuts Carter is above reproach. Dream on, guy. Carter is from the same school as ‘Einstein’ Gore, ‘both-feet-in-my-mouth’ Biden and ‘I never-had-sex-with-that-woman’ Clinton. You really need to raise the bar for your icons.
Spencer, all you’ve done is prove that common sense and politics (and starry-eyed followers of icons) are usually divorced from reality. If you ever want a great deal on some lunar beach front property, look me up. I can get it for you wholesale – honest.

        • rwnut

Spencer, don’t you know the Presidential race was thrown to Hussien by (Teddy)McCain, just to make Black History? If Hussien is so smart, why is he still hiding his school papers, among other things? Hussien and Peanut Carter should have listened to Thomas Jefferson when he said,”The ordinary affairs of a nation offer little difficulty to a person of any experience”. By the way Spencer, there’s a plane leaving about every 15 minutes.Need a ride to the airport?

      • Doc Sarvis

President Obama speaks all the time to people. Occasionally, only on major addresses like other presidents, he uses a teleprompter. I don’t see what the big deal is with this.

        • Michael J.

          Doc Sarvis,
You are uniformed. Obama recently set up and used telepromters in a sixth grade classroom full of students. Is that your idea of major addresses?

And in a recent speaking engagement at the National Prayer Breakfast, Obama mispronounced the word “Corpsman” as “corpse-man”.

Guess the word “Corpsman” somehow slipped through the cracks during his illustrious education at Harvard.

          • Fed Up Gal in NM

            Michael J,

Way to go, man! You make us proud!

As far as Obama’s and Spencer’s stellar IQ…..well that’s what happens when liberals dumb down all the tests!

            Fed Up Gal

          • Michael J.

            Fed up Gal,
Thank you Mam, just doing what comes natural.

          • Doc Sarvis

Actually, the address he presented in the sixth grade classroom was to reporters. Also, if you want to bring up slips-of-the-tongue, we shoud start a list for each president. I’m sure there would be plenty. Finally, I was just listening to a conservative talk radio show (local)who’s hosts agreed that nobody read from the teleprompter more than (and as well as) President Reagan.

          • Jana

Of course they all read from teleprompters to make sure they get all of their points across, but the main thing is they also need to know what they are talking about, which Obama doesn’t. They need to know how to pronounce all of the words, which Obama doesn’t. They laughed at Bush’s pronunciation of some of his words when actually the way he talked is the way most Texan’s / Southerner’s talk.

          • Michael J.

            Doc Sarvis,
First of all, he did speak first to the children VIA telepromter. As a matter of fact, he helped carry the equipment in and set it up.

Secondly, It’s not the fact that the POTUS uses a TOTUS, it’s the fact that he uses one so badly. Looking back and forth from left to right, left, right, looks so unatural. Sometimes he looks nervous, like a chicken in a gully full of rattlesnakes lookin for a way out.

    • Meteorlady

They are very afraid of Palin and are doing everything they can to discredit her. I am not a hugh supporter, but she seems to be pulling strings on both left and middle.

      • Jana

Meteorlady, They are afraid of her because she represents common sense. She also represents good ole middle America and American Values.

She may never run for any office and yes I saw where she said she would not deny the possibility of it, but she may never run and this may be what she is called to do and that is to help unify those of us with similar standards. That is what we want, our good solid standards back.

        • Meteorlady

Agree but be careful what you wish for. Sarah has no more experience than Obama and she quit. Sorry… she did quit on her state. She opted to get out of the frying pan and into a nice job with Fox and a nice job giving speeches and a nice job selling her book. She is nice, folksy and down-home but she lack any experience to rule the US and manage our interests in the rest of the world. We just elected someone with those qualificatios.

Now if you want to talk Condoleezza Rice as a Presidential candidate – I’m all for that. She has world experience, she has guts, she’s honest as far as I know, and she actually has a track record you can check on.

This movement is still getting their feet under them. Can’t wait to hear the libs on this.
Got this in an email, so true:
Palin’s Notes, Obama’s Teleprompter, and the Increasingly Stupid Media
We’ve seen enough Obama speeches to realize that the calm, charismatic, clear-spoken, smooth, and articulate politician that left-wing activists and media members want to portray is nothing of the sort. Take Obama’s teleprompter away, and out come the ums and errs. But, because it’s Obama, his rabid followers are full of excuses: he can’t remember everything, he gives so many speeches, the teleprompter is just like having note cards. Blah, blah, blah.

However, replace the word Obama with the word Palin — as in former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin — and the left wingers sing a different tune. It’s ok for Obama to read word for word from a teleprompter, but heaven help us if Sarah Palin uses note cards during the speech! But Palin had the last laugh, and the left ends up looking stupid and hypocritical. Nice job!

It turns out that left wing bloggers and media members are having a field day because Palin, during her speech and Q&A session at the recent Tea Party convention, had notes jotted on the palm of her hand. Yes, you heard it right… the left is in an uproar because Palin scribbled a few talking points on her hand. The world is surely coming to an end.
However, Palin had the last laugh. In a fundraising appearance with Texas Gov. Rick Perry, Palin wrote “Hi Mom!” on her hand for all the media to see.
So, let the media and bloggers have their fun with this. Palin is known for giving stirring speeches from the stump… speeches completely off the cuff. To have a few talking points jotted down is something any speech-maker would do. It’s quite a bit different than someone like Obama who can’t articulate a complete sentence without it being written down in front of him.

    • Curtis S

Jeff… you didn’t write this. Passing off someone else’s work as if it’s your own is plagiarism and highly unethical.

Until or unless Palin shows up at a school expecting kids to ‘correct’ their parents and their non-pc voting ways, I’ll listen to her. Score one for Palin. Rack up yet another example of Obummer stupidity.
Palin seems to have self-enforced standards, while Obummer shuns standards like the plague. Obummer jumped at the chance to brainwash kids and did it in the name of ‘illuminated, self-blessed’ politics. What he did was PROVE that he has no credibility or character.

    • Doc Sarvis

I still do not understand why Ms. Palin would quit as Governor of Alaska. It does not speak well of her devotion to the job she was elected by the people to perform. I am sure the lure of big money would be a factor but, if she really wants to show the right way to run a government then staying in office seems like the right way to do so.

      • Michael J.

        Doc Sarvis,
I know the idea of relinquishing power is beyond the comprehension of power hungry Progressive Liberals but, in her own words she said it was in the best interest of the people and the state of Alaska.

        • Curtis S

Could she get a $100,000 speaking fee from a “grassroots” organization is she was still just a governor?

          • Dale

And Curtis . . . you forgot to mention that she donated the speaking fee back to the organization . . . then she did it for FREE!!! Right Curtis . . .

        • Doc Sarvis

I have no argument with that statement. I agree the Alaskan people have more informed and ethical leadership now.

          • Jana

Doc maybe you just don’t want to see the truth. I know you have said this before on other boards, and it has all been explained to you, and I am fairly sure you have some intelligence, so you just refuse to see the truth. But, that is fine. It tells us all who you are.

          • JeffH

Doc Sarvis, the Alaskan citizens were very pleased with Palin’s leadership in the governors office.

      • DaveH

We should be so lucky with Obama.

      • rwnut

Doc Sarvis, are you saying it’s o.k.for Hussien to quit his post(senate),but not Palin? Palin said she left because of the leftwing onslaught so Alaska could move on Alaska is doing well.Palin is doing well.Hussien left the senate to turn the America to socialism.Look at the destruction he has caused America. And his senate seat is turned into a cesspool of corruption. You need to weigh things in the balance of common sense and reason,my friend.
“We are not afraid to follow truth whever it may lead, not to tolerate any error so long as reason is left free to combat it.”
        Thomas Jefferson.

  • Robert

Leaders of the Tea Party Movement? The Tea Party is a grassroots movement of people who are fed up with the direction Washington’s politicians are taking us. We don’t need no stinking leaders. All we need is for our voices to be heard and heard they will this November. Who the hell decided that these people at the convention are the leaders of the Tea Party? The leaders are every person who shows up for an event and speaks their mind. Those are leaders. Not one time politicians who happened to speak at this convention. I’m more interested in listening to a regular person than some politician, past or present. At least I’ll get their truthfull opinion and viewpoint from them.

    • Jana

Yep, and that is exactly what Sarah Palin represents, the “every person”. That is why the “every person” gravitates to her.

      • Robert

And she has not intention of being the leader of the Tea Party Movement. She’s made it plain and clear it’s the people’s movement and that is what is important. I just get infuriated when someone who speaks out at events are categorized as “The Leaders” by those reporting the news.

        • Meteorlady

That would be because there is more money to get her elected in the Republican party.

      • JC

        Here’s some background Jana.
        Enjoy…I did. :)

READ TO THE VERY END! VERY ENLIGHTENING!!!
        AND VERY DISTURBING!!!

        By Dewie Whetsell, Alaskan Fisherman.
As posted in comments on Greta’s article referencing the MOVEON ad about Sarah Palin.

The last 45 of my 66 years I’ve spent in a commercial fishing town in Alaska . I understand Alaska politics but never understood national politics well until this last year. Here’s the breaking point: Neither side of the Palin controversy gets it. It’s not about persona, style, rhetoric, it’s about doing things. Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I’m about to mention here.

        1. Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governor’s office away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republican’s “Corrupt Bastards Club” (CBC) and sent them packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits The Democrats reacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing, “la la la la” (well, you know how they are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar.

        2. Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called “ACES.” Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them, “don’t let the door hit you in the stern on your way out.” They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course, the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar.

        3. The other thing she did when she walked into the governor’s office is she got the list of State requests for federal funding for projects, known as “pork.” She went through the list, took 85% of the m and placed them in the “when-hell-freezes-over” stack. She let locals know that if we need something built, we’ll pay for it ourselves. Maybe she figured she could use the money she got from selling the previous governor’s jet because it was extravagant.
Maybe she could use the money she saved by dismissing the governor’s cook (remarking that she could cook for her own family), giving back the State vehicle issued to her, maintaining that she already had a car, and dismissing her State provided security force (never mentioning – I imagine – that she’s packing heat herself). I’m still waiting to hear the names of those other governors.

        4. Now, even with her much-ridiculed “gosh and golly” mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn’t impress you, then you’re trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other hand.

        5. For 30 years, Exxon held a lease to do exploratory drilling at a place called Point Thompson. They made excuses the entire time why they couldn’t start drilling. In truth they were holding it like an investment. No governor for 30 years could make them get started. Then, she told them she was revoking their lease and kicking them out. They protested and threatened court action. She shrugged and reminded them that she knew the way to the court house. Alaska won again.

        6. President Obama wants the nation to be on 25% renewable resources for electricity by 2025. Sarah went to the legislature and submitted her plan for Alaska to be at 50% renewables by 2025. We are already at 25%. I can give you more specifics about things done, as opposed to style and persona. Everybody wants to be cool, sound cool, look cool. But that’s just a cover-up. I’m still waiting to hear from liberals the names of other governors who can match what mine has done in two and a half years. I won’t be holding my breath.

By the way, she was content to return to AK after the national election and go to work, but the haters wouldn’t let her. Now these adolescent screechers are obviously not scuba divers. And no one ever told them what happens when you continually jab and pester a barracuda. Without warning, it will spin around and tear your face off. Shoulda known better.

You have just read the truth about Sarah Palin that sends the media, along with the democrat party, into a wild uncontrolled frenzy to discredit her. I guess they are only interested in skirt chasers, dishonesty, immoral people, liars, womanizers, murderers, and bitter ex-presidents’ wives.

So “You go, Girl.” I only wish the men in Washington had your guts, determination, honesty, and morals.
I rest my case. Only FOOLS listen to the biased media.

If you’ve read this far ………………………………………..

There has NEVER been anyone in the White House at any time who has created such an army of staffers whose sole duties are the facilitation of the First Lady’s social life. One wonders why she needs so much help,at taxpayer expense, when even Hillary, only had three; Jackie Kennedyone; Laura Bush one; and prior to Mamie Eisenhower social help came from the President’s own pocket.
Note: This does not include makeup artist Ingrid Grimes-Miles, 49, and “First Hairstylist” Johnny Wright, 31, both of whom traveled aboard Air Force One to Europe .

JC, I take my hat off for your enlightenment about Sarah Palin. I have done “some” research and been impressed with Palin’s resolve and leadership, but not to this extent. I will verify, for myself, and not because I don’t trust you, only so I can trust myself.

          • JC

For sure Jeff, check it out.

          JC,
Thank you for putting this all in one article. Most of this I have read at one time or another, but you put it all together and did a great job. I hope everyone takes the time to read it all, it is very good and very educational.

But, of course to the Progressives and Lefties, it is never good enough for them unless it goes AGAINST our country.

As I have said before, Sarah may never run for another office, but she is great at telling it like it is and helping all of us who think like she does, to know that there are more of us out there than just a few. Conservatism is alive and well. Patriotism is also alive and well. There is still hope for the United States and hooray for Sarah for standing up and sticking up for the Standards that our Founding Fathers fought hard for.

          • JC

            Anytime Ma’am. :)

I see at the top of the thread that JoeH is back on the Saul Alinsky/Karl Rove tactic of slagging Obama for using a teleprompter. It’s a completely ridiculous line of attack but JoeH, and all the other’s drinking this particular flavor of Kool-Aid, assume if you say it often enough and loud enough it will eventually mean something. But anyone guilty of repeating this moronic argument is intellectually bankrupt. Everyone in a TV studio uses a teleprompter. Presidents Clinton, both Bushes and Ronald “The Great Communicator” Reagan all used teleprompters.
The problem with Sarah and her “crib notes” is the hypocrisy of it. She takes a “pot shot” at her rival because he uses a teleprompter and then she gets caught sneaking a peek at the notes on the palm of her hand. This doesn’t strike any of you as just a little hypocritical? None of you see how this is amazingly disingenuous? Anyone? She got caught cheating and you all applaud her? If she hadn’t taken that cheap shot about the teleprompter it wouldn’t have mattered. That’s the point.
Or is it all about drinking the Kool-Aid? Whatever Obama does is bad, but whatever Sarah does is automatically good? Seven years as a State senator and another couple of years as a US Senator, but Obama doesn’t have enough experience. Palin had 10 years of experience but at the CIVIC level in Wasilla and half term as governor, but she’s totally qualified? Obama is an intellectual elitist because he went to Harvard, but Bush wasn’t an elitist even though he went to Yale? This isn’t political discussion, this is nothing more than a pep rally, just not as intellectual.
With the debt load the Democrats are saddling the country with and the in-fighting that’s already starting within the Democratic Party, 2012 is a huge opportunity and you people honestly want Sarah Palin as the leader of the Republican Party?

    • DaveH

      Curtis,
If indeed Sarah said such about Obama’s teleprompter, you have some legs. Could you post a source for such criticism from Sarah?

However, I would hesitate to compare the use of a teleprompter to a few notes written on her hand.

Also, note that I could care less if Obama reads from a teleprompter or not.

      • Curtis S

Hey DaveH… Her exact quote was… “This is about the people, and it’s bigger than any king or queen of a Tea Party. And it’s a lot bigger than any charismatic guy with a teleprompter.”
If you check out this particular link:
        http://www.buzzstation.net/2010/02/full-sarah-palin-tea-party-speech-video.html
You find the quote in the 16th paragraph of the transcript of the speech or around the 8:20 mark of the video.

    • Dale

Seem to remember the Bamster voted “present” at almost every vote . . . that is experience? That is never having to make a decision, no track record equals no experience. Then there’s the sealed College records and the complete lack of background on this comm. organizer.
Imagine if Bush had said corpsemen . . . the media would still be talking about it . . . but this guy gets a pass – how come?

      • Meteorlady

Because the Puppeteers have deep pockets. Obama was groomed. They found a guy that they could get elected and the American people fell for it. It was an opportune moment in our history. We had the press continually bashing Bush and we believed it and wanted change. So how’s that changey, hopey thing working out?

  • sjc

It’s not the fact that Obama uses a teleprompter that is being discussed. It’s the fact that he can’t NOT use a teleprompter. You are correct in pointing out that many people when giving an important, prepared speech to a large audience use teleprompters, however this guy can’t go anywhere without the teleprompter to keep him on track and feed him quips and lines in situations where other people can speak from the heart or at least their own insight into the situation at hand. When Obama doesn’t have this crutch his speeches become almost painful to endure. For example, during one 22 minute campaign speech 8 minutes of the “speech” were um, er, well, I, uh, etc. 8 of 22 minutes!
Greatest Orator of Our Time! Really?
Also, are you really trying to say that a couple of words written down before an important speech is the equivalant

8 minutes! Better fact check that one.

Sarah Palin understands that the Tea Party movement is essential to the resurrection of our American system of government. Our Constitution created a government based upon, and limited to, the Consent of the Governed. As Laura Ingraham, standing before a crowd of protesters at the Code Red rally, yelled toward the Capitol, “WE NO LONGER CONSENT!”
We the People are speaking up. Our Freedom in Rising.

See the essence of this movement in a new Tea Party / Liberty video called WE THE PEOPLE.

We seem to be spending an inordinate amount of time on the ‘notes’ thing. Stop. Too many critically important issues need to be pondered and discussed.

I, for one, would like to see the conversation switch to the economy, jobs, and Homeland Security and REAL healthcare solutions.

And let us not forget to study the Constitution in detail, because after all, the Progressives want to destroy it!

“We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America!”

  • http://charter howe

I hate Sarah Palin, because she has galvanized the conservatives and independents in this country with the notion that our American freedoms and way of life is threatened. She actually believes we should give up some or all of our entitlements so that hard working Americans don’t have to share savings and retirement that they have worked so hard for all of their lives. She has the unmitigated gall to think that us democratic socialist liberals should be honest and engage in full non-corrupt political activity and actually abandon any idea of cronyism and covert power grabs. The truth of the matter is that Sarah Palin is a significant spiritual and inspirational leader who places human compassion, family and country along with political honesty and integrity above all else. That is what makes this woman so dangerous don’t all of you see through her scheme. She even believes that God should be in every facet of our society and as we radical liberal progressives know this doesn’t give us power or put money in our pockets. I hope that President Obama continues with his progressive socialist movement and uses his military to establish martial law and quell all the push back and riots in our nation. Military actions against non-conformers should be swift and severe. This should also clean out the pockets of Birther fanatics and removal of all guns from law abiding citizens so they can’t offer resistance. I am going to love the new world order and Obamas plan to trash the U. S. Constitution and rule the world. Hail to Obama.

When you see the left and its media attacking someone like Sarah Pallin for writing a few notes on her hand as a reminder. It just shows how desperate the left is they’re just grasping at straws to try and belittle her because she is a very big threat to them!!! They’re looking for anything to attack her with!! They’re AFRAID of her!!! And it also shows a double standard that the media has toward the right!! It’s amazing how many times I’ve seen the guy in the white house stammering and stuttering almost grasping for words that he can’t read off of a teleprompter!!! He truly shows that he is just a puppet of whoever is pulling his strings at the time. The media doesn’t challeng him on all his promises he made on the campaign trail to the American people because they know they will expose him for the LIAR that he is and always has been!!!! He lied, said and did everything he had to do to get in the white house and now htat he’s in he’s doing as he wants and people are starting to see him for what he truly is which is a LIAR of the most evil kind!!! The point is the media left won’t attack a LIAR especially if he’s a LIAR for their side because everyone will see what he is but they’ll attack a woman for joting some notes on her hand!! Which is more pathetic!!! A LIAR or a woman jotting down some notes!!!!

  • GAM

Howe you make me sick!!!! Its people like you who should be thrown out of this country!!! It’s funny how you mention God and what Miss Pallin stands for!!! It’s funny how you’ve never stopped and looked at our great country and that it was based on Jewish/Christian beliefs!!! Have you ever wondered why our country is so much better than countries that are muslim!!! Maybe because the true God of this world has blessed this country for its belief in Him!!! Well maybe when the LIAR in the white house gets his LYING agenda through maybe you’ll be one of the first people who will be judged by shriar muslim law and maybe on that day at that specific moment in time you’ll actually rethink youre stupidity!!! And its not his military this man has no military experience whatsoever!!! His biggest achievments are community organizer and LYING to get into the white house!!!

    • Meteorlady

      Can you spell SATIRE?

  • Raggs

Hummmm… obama want’s to broadcast a health care debate on the 25th.
Hoping to gain support from the republican’s.. I’m sure he will slap the old communist bill in front of the repub’s and ask for thier support and when they say NO he will blame that party and a ( obama )media frency will ensue. Either that or he may ( but I doubt ) realize the dumbocrap’s are in trouble this year and he is trying to smooth over the bump’s. If so it’s too little too late! It should be interesting to see how he will use his teleprompter in an actual debate…. HAHAHA!!! Maybe he will write notes on his hand.
He will probably come up with a new program called the “healthcorpse”

    • s c

Raggs, I have no reason to believe Obummer can scribble crib notes on his hand by himself. He probably has a crib note czar who does it for him (AND is paid at least $100,000 a year to do it, AND tells Obummer what to say when he uses a teleprompter, AND has first-rate PRIVATE insurance, AND gets to travel on military jets at any time, AND will land a high-paying PRIVATE sector job when Obummer is forced to leave DC, AND is already writing a book about the glory of the Obummer administration).

      • JeffH

If anybody watched “lackey” Gibbs with his typical leftist sarcasm and his “notes” for bread, eggs, milk and whatever else they would realize that these guys still don’t have a clue as to some of the things that are ticking off Americans everywhere.

When Obama STOPS the 2010 election with a “state of emergency” caused by the “tea party group” using the G.W.B. “Domestic Terrorist Bill;” then, we will have something to really complain about, won’t we?

    • Raggs

      Maybe he will…
The visual “tea party” is a small precentage of the people whom are very disturbed by this radical left socialist. I’m sure we will see his temper come the 25th if any repub’s stand against him. His propaganda is not working for his benefit it’s only working against him. It’s too late to save the dumbocrap’s even with delaying the election’s

      • Jana

Raggs, if Obama lets the Repubs talk and doesn’t just lecture them. He is so good at talking down to everyone, probably makes him feel bigger to talk down to people.

    • Michael J.

      Victor,
I am sure that the implementation of Martial Law is a contingency in Obama’s bag of tricks. I don’t think anything is out of the question for this man in his relentless persuit of retaining power. But the Tea Party is only one of many excuses they may use. Civil unrest, terrorist attacks or general anarchy. It’s like they are poking a dog with a stick. When the dog fights back, it will serve as justification to declare Martial Law and suspend voting rights.

  • Norm

As I have stated before: Run “zero I.Q.” Palin for president, and Obama is a shoo in for term 2. There just aren’t enough idiots in this country to elect her. The non brain dead Republicans are well aware of this.

    • Raggs

Exactly why the obama media is stoning her, they want her to run and fail.

    • Dale

If Palin is a 0 iq . . . . what is the Bamster? a -86? I know where she went to school, her marks, how she voted and on and on . . . . All I know about the Bamster is his Chicago comm. org. mob links and he hung out with a nutbar pastor for 20 years . . . when he talks without his prompter he sounds clueless. Remember the 57 states? Now the corpsemen? Is english his second language?

      • Doc Sarvis

I read his first book and it gave a real good account of who President Obama is, where he comes from (Hawaii by the way), his mistakes and successes. I was very impressed. I am confident he is the leader this country needs. This coming from an Independent.

        • s c

Doc, use the English language (not Obummerese), and kindly define ‘independent’ for us. Thanks

        • Dale

Doc . . . did he even write his book?
You are confident . . . well I am not . . . I predicted a year and a half ago that he was in way over his head . . . after 1 year in office most of the folks agree with me. Just looking at the appointments or czars around him give me great cause for concern. Soon his approval rating will drop below 40% . . . fastest drop in history. Now he wants to spend the TARP funds being paid back instead of applying them to the National Debt and the TARP Legislation requires.

        • Michael J.

          Doc Sarvis,
Are you aware that while Obama was campaigning to be President in 2008, he took time out to read, “The Post American World” authored by fellow Muslim, Fareed Zakaria. A man that welcomes the necessary decline in America which will, in his words enable the rise of other countries?

        • Dale

But they never released his records . . . why do you suppose that is?
Why would he spend 1.7 million to not show his BC???
What about the other college he attended . . . not in the year book, no one that went in the same period ever met him . . . . too much about this guy is a mystery . . . why do you suppose that is???

          • Norm

            Dale
Why is this I ask you? Is it some evil plot perpetrated by Harvard and the state of Hawaii? Or is it some evil plot perpetrated by the three stooges, Rush, Glenn, and Sean?

          • JeffH

Norm, it might be an evil plot by the Marx brothers. Harpo, Graucho, Baracko, and Zeppo. Or was it Karlo?

How about Obama proves that he IS eligible to be president…and no, a newly minted Hawaiian birth certificate doesn’t cut it. especially since he was flying around the middle east in his twenties…and he wasn’t using an American passport….so who really owns him?

            Norm,
I think you’re mixing your statutes up. He isn’t charged with a crime so yes he’s innocent. We’re talking about his eligibility to hold the highest office in the land. If he can be president…why not have people showing up from Latvia to run for office? Where is the proof of his eligibility? McCain had to prove his and he did so…why not Obama?

Because I have nothing to hide.Who does this little communist/socialist/dictator think he is? Someone special? NOT IN MY EYES NORM!

Sarah Palin, this modern day biblical ressurection of the “She Monster” Lilith. She,as well as the “garden” tea party gang, need to be dunked like the tea bags they are, into boiling hot water, and allowed to brew!
This venomous viper, this malignent and treacherous Medusa, is out there fulfilling the prophecy of hatred!

      • Vinnie

These are the very same peopls who supported and rubber stamped George W(armonger) Bush’s disaster as well as destructive economic policies tghat got us into this mess! Get real, Dale – Wake up to reality!
I am not a fan of Obama – BUT! He did not create the “Great Recession” – he inherfitedf it! You can thank the one who seems to be your hero, none other than Bush, for the present day disaster!

        • Dale

Vinnie . . . the Comm Reinvestment Act created the “Great Depression” . . . borrowing money to folks that could never pay it back. Saw it firsthand in Phoenix . . . you could jump the border, walk into town and buy a new house, just promise to pay for it when you got a job. Trillions of worthless mortgages packaged into Derivatives and fenced all over the world as investment instruments. That caused the great meltdown. I was never a fan of the Bush big govt, but in his defense he did attempt several times to reign in the Fannie/Freddie thing, but the Fwanks, Dodds and Watters of the dimmicraps block all attempts. The dims own the meltdown, with the help of a few Repubs, but the Dimmicraps controlled the congress since 2006. After that Bush was a lame duck!!!
This problem is still out there, 200 banks to fail this year. Trillions in mortgages under water or in default . . . this is a long way from over. But the Dimmicraps just keep spending, spending, spending . . . hang on, it’s going to be a rough ride!!!

        • Dale

And Vinnie . . . if you had been paying attention . . . you would know that the Tea Party folks are Independents, Repubs and Dimmicrats . . . they are all upset with Ignoring the Constitution, Big Govt, Massive Deficits and Representatives ignoring the electorate. If you can’t agree with that, what does that make you? The Lame-stream Media has been in the tank for the Bamster for years. No one watches them any more, FOX draws more folks than all the networks and MSN, CNN added together.

          • Joe H.

            Dale,

        • JC

Hey Vinnie, her’s what Obama “inherited”.
          (this is borrowed)

The Washington Post babbled again today about Obama inheriting a huge deficit from Bush, blah blah blah. Amazingly enough, a lot of people swallow this nonsense.

So once more, I’ll try a short civics lesson.

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress, and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party. They controlled the budget process for FY 2008 and FY 2009, as well as FY 2010 and FY 2011. In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases. For FY 2009, though, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the FY 2009 budgets.

And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete FY 2009.

Let’s remember what the deficits looked like during that period:

If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the FY 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets. If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself.

In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th.

Vinnie, I think this might be the 4th or 5th time you have posted those exact words. Got anything else for us, smartypants?
You libs love to show off you grammar. Makes you feel superior doesn’t it? Thank god I have a life and don’t have to “self gratify”.

In a democracy the folks generally get what they deserve, the turnout of the voting-age population was 231,229,580 or 56.8% in 2008; http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0781453.html The results may just reflect that it was the most attractive choice of poor choices, or it may be that not enough of the population bothered to vote. In any event it appears that the Tea Party movement has motivated many apathetic voters if one follows the comments offered by many of the attendees at their meetings and this might be considered as a good thing.

The US constitution provides what may be the most democratic form of government ever conceived by man. The “We the People” elect their local (state) and federal representatives. However what appears to have been lost over the years is the simple fact that the powers of the State that are ceded to the federal government are “limited”. Many of the recent federal administrations seem to have forgotten or ignored this premise and adopted a federal aristocratic approach to democracy.

The solution is to have your governor and elected state legislators simply tell the feds NO MORE, and send folks to Washington that understand the constitution.

      Hugh,
You are right on buddy! The Feds have hijacked the country away from the states against the Founding Fathers intent. That’s the essence of the Tea Party movement. Give the power back to the people and the states. I also wanted to comment by Michael J when he said how unnatural Obummer looks while speaking….looking up and to the right, then down and to the left. My point is this: Has anyone besides me noticed that he constantly is trying to sound very, very Martin Luther King-ish during his speeches. It’s almost like he is trying to achieve some remark that will go down in the history books much like King. Obummer, I knew Martin, and believe me, you are no Martin Luther King!!

      • rwnut

Those right and left looks are camera poses. His speaking ability comes straight out of a high school speech class. This guy is trying to make himself into something he has never been,is not,nor ever will be. It’s all part of the act of “making black history”. The left liberal’s ,and Hussien’s thinking is,if there’s no substance there just make it up. After all, they’re the party of hate and lies. Egotism oozes from his pores and it’s sickening. It’s all planned but it’s falling apart. Anyone else ever notice how the left wing liberals have to sneak up on the microphones and cameras to hold a press conferance?

    • Meteorlady

If the states would “Just say NO” we would not be in this mess. Once they say “yes” they are into the blackmail game. Like if you don’t lower your speed limit we will with hold federal funds for roads. Like if you don’t come up with a school program, we will with hold federal funding for school. Let the state have back their rights! If we did that we would have lower federal taxes, better schools and states where all the little liberals can live in peace and support each other.

and yes, I watched those illiterates being registered by ACORN. what we must be careful of is to not divide our vote by becoming a third party or OBAMA and his democrats will win again!

  • Chris O’Brien

Have you people heard the statement divide & conqure? Sarah Palin is a fine example of this, the plutocrats dont care who gets elected, what party get elected, just as long as they control the person elected. Sara & Obama are a perfect example of this type of manipulation of the media, neither one has the experience needed to run this country, to bring us back to the Constition!!! Beaware of wolfs in sheep clothing! The 2008 elections proved this point to me, I was part of the Ron Paul Revolution, He broke every record there was for collecting donations fron grass root efforts, was blowing away the competitions in the debates, do you see his great books & audit the fed bill getting this type of publicity? Sara is a power hungry puppet

    • JC

Funny isn’t it Chris? Ron Paul recieved more donations from the military than all the other candidates combined…and the media swept him under the rug.

      • Meteorlady

The media always sweeps people under the rug that are dangerous to their puppet masters.

  • AJ

No matter what anyone says, I will support my president, even though I do not agree with much. Although I will make this very very clear. Palin could not even complete her term here in Alaska, and to be honest, SHE WAS THE WORST EXAMPLE OF A LEADER!!!!!! YOU ALL ARE GOING TO ATTACK ME VERBALLY AND I REALLY DO NOT CARE. I WILL VOTE AGAINST HER ALONG WITH MY WIFE AND FAMILY. SHE REALLY IS WHAT OUR COUNTRY DOES NOT NEED! MY WIFE EVEN SAID, SHE TALKS LIKE AN IDIOT. If she is elected, I will have no other choice but to support her, but keep in mind I will be vomiting daily by the fact that she was given a role she has already proved to everyone she cannot handle. I was a democrat, and now registered republican so I can vote against her in the primaries. I have realized a great deal of friends and people are doing the same thing, change parties to keep HER OUT!!!

    • rwnut

A.J., You’re just one of the sheep being led willing to the slaughter. You’re stuck in the two party system and you see no way out. Join the tea party movement,my friend, and fight for your freedom. Don’t willing put your neck on the two party chopping block. A.J.,if you see light at the end of the tunnel,GO TOWARD IT! Come on over A.J. THE TEA PARTY IS WAITING!

    • Meteorlady

The Libertarian party is also waiting….. take your pick, but fight man. Stop the I will support crap and get out and protest what you don’t like in our government. That’s that freedom afforded in this country and we tend not to take advantage of that. It’s coming though, people are getting madder and madder and they will prevail unless we give up and listen to mainstream media.

    • JC

Blind patriotism to a socialist demagogue isn’t petriotism at all. But is IS Blind!

  • http://bravefoot@gmail.com jan from NJ

The tea party movement is a good example of the democracy this country afford all citizens. The right to gather and speak their minds. I think like all movements there are people with racist agendas, political motives and little understanding of global economics, or the constitution.

  • rwnut

Did anyone see this mornings(12th)Fox news report showing Dianne Feinstein debating a few years back with notes scribbled on the palm of her hand? And she was breaking the rules by doing so. Palin has broken no ones rules. You can always tell a leftwing liberal because they have a face on both sides of thier head!
