Tea Party leaders: Boehner should go

Tea Party leaders: Boehner should go

WASHINGTON — Tea Party activists Wednesday began advocating the removal of House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, saying he is capitulating to the status quo in Washington.

Tea Party Nation leader Judson Phillips called on Boehner to leave and be replaced by a “Tea Party speaker of the House” in a blog post Wednesday, The Hill reported. Jenny Beth Martin, co-founder of the Tea Party Patriots, said her organization was exploring the same idea.

No elected Republicans have publicly called for Boehner to step aside.

“Boehner is in the process of surrendering again. He is surrendering not to [President] Obama, but to the status quo in Washington,” Phillips wrote. “The House passed [the] cut, cap and balance [legislation], which would cut $111 billion from the budget. It would cap spending and set a good course for the future” by seeking a balanced budget constitutional amendment.

Martin expressed a similar sentiment during a breakfast forum sponsored by The Christian Science Monitor, saying a recent poll of members indicated 80 percent weren’t satisfied with Boehner and nearly 75 percent said they would like to see a new House speaker.

In calling for Boehner’s replacement by a Tea Party activist, Philips said, “Boehner has no real interest in solving the problems this country faces. … He worships at the altar of massive spending.”

Boehner this week unveiled a two-step proposal to increase the debt ceiling that drew criticism from conservative members of his caucus. The proposal would raise the debt limit by about $900 billion and set up a commission to find another $3 trillion in deficit reduction and would revisit a debt-ceiling vote next year. The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office projected Boehner’s plan would reduce the deficit by $850 billion over 10 years, about $350 billion shy of what he estimated.

Many Republicans called on Boehner to back the already-passed “cut, cap, and balance” proposal that is unlikely to pass the Senate.

My gut feeling says “beware.” The Tea Party is a debatable organization. In the beginning, everyone told me it was for all people, Liberals and Republicans alike. Hmmm. Seems they are Republican oriented. Now I don’t know what they are and I sure as heck don’t like some of the cadidiates they are pushing. And some of the candidates they promoted did not appear to be too bright to me. Regarding the Tea Party–I will walk softly and carry a big stick. Something is in the forecast and I don’t think it is good weather. For some dang reason I do not trust them or their “backers.” Like I posted before, they ALL want to rule the world. And if this happens, we will all be sheeple. Like lambs led to the slaughter. This is what happens with groups/organizations. The moment they think they have “power” it goes to their heads and they lose sense of direction. I do not want any affiliation with this group or any of the others. I will distance myself from the Tea Party and the rest of the “organizations.”

Clarie the tea party is for all. Let me solve your liberal feeling while you remove your presents as a Tea Party member. I just don’t want you in this movement if you don’t realize the way you seem to lend is why we are in debt, with gay rights laws, and gay minsters. I feel this is maybe your problem, if so I think you should move on to Move on dot org, You would be in the right place

hyder you are very new here and don’t have any idea of Claire. She’s not what you are implying. She had a really bad experience with Illinois Tea Party events and was quickly disenchanted and given her description of the events she experienced I would have been disenchanted as well. I imagine Tea Party groups vary throughout the country – some being worthwhile and some being not worthwhile.

libertytrain–Thank you for your comments. I do not care for the Te Party here in town. They support the RINOs. And I sure don’t want any part of that!

          • libertytrain

            You got it sister!

  • Thinking About

Claire’s comments spreads further than you think. We need leaders with good stable plans. A few short quips might get attention but does not indicate leadership. Truthful knowledge and skills to carry through on perhaps historical events is needed.

  • Jana

No, I don’t think Boehner ought to step down and let a TEA Partier step in.

I think we all need to get behind him and write and call him and ALL of our reps, Republicans and Democrats alike and let them know what we the people want.

    Go Claire!

  • Thinking About

Perhaps he should rally true reps and get some Dems behind him and put the deadhead tea party back on their heels and get this job done. They don’t have the numbers to ruin this great country.

The tea party started out with the right idea that the government should abide by the (U.S. Constitution) constitutionality of the law.
However, most of them lost sight of this fact and became just as corrupt as most of the elected officials whom they replaced.
Most of them now feel everything has to be their way and there is no room for compromise because they and they alone know what is best for this country and if the people do not like it that’s just too bad.

It is not the size of government that is bad, it is the corrupt individuals within the government that makes the government bad.
The Constitution implies that government was created by the people and for the people to aid them in the conducting of their business.
However, most of our current elected officials now seem to think that the government was created by the corporations and for the corporations to aid them in the conducting of their business instead.

The following is something of interest pertaining to the United States Constitution and the creation of a New World Constitution which will eventually replace the United States Constitution and All other countries constitutions.

WHAT OF THE NEW WORLD ORDER AND HOW COULD THIS COME ABOUT? WELL, IN 1983 YOUR THEN PRESIDENT ENTITY RONALD REAGAN FINALIZED A DOCUMENT INTO LAW AND CONGRESS RATIFIED IT. IT IS THE TREATY WHICH AUTHORIZED PRESIDENT ENTITY GEORGE BUSH TO ESTABLISH A “NEW WORLD ORDER”. UNLAWFULLY BUT LEGALLY! IT IS HEADED ON THE COVER PAGE BY THE FOLLOWING CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED NATIONS INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION. (Please note the word “CONSTITUTION”.) THEN” MESSAGE from THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES TRANSMITTING THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED NATIONS’ INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION (UNIDO), ADOPTED BY THE UNITED NATIONS CONFERENCE ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE UNITED NATIONS INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION AS A SPECIALIZED AGENCY ON APRIL 8, 1979, AND SIGNED ON BEHALF OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ON JANUARY 17, 1980.
OCTOBER 5, 1981.–TREATY WAS READ THE FIRST TIME AND, TOGETHER WITH THE ACCOMPANYING PAPERS, REFERRED TO THE COMMITTEE ON FOREIGN RELATIONS AND ORDERED TO BE PRINTED FOR THE USE OF THE SENATE. 97TH Congress, 1st Session, SENATE, Treaty Doc. No. 97-19, U.S. Government Printing Office, Washington: 1981, form 89-1180.
On the UN level, countries of the world are called UN’s “states”. This was ratified by the U.S. Senate and signed by the President of the U.S. It was signed by 80 other countries and ratified; this Constitution, and it is now in force world-wide! DO YOU RECALL GIVING YOUR PUBLIC OFFICIALS POWER TO DO SUCH A THING?
Dear ones, this CONSTITUTION of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization–UNIDO–is used as authority to set up this New World Order and it is now acting as official law even though you know nothing of it.
THE ABUSE OF TREATY POWER ALLOWS THIS “CONSTITUTION” TO SUPERSEDE THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION. Is it too late?
A New Social Order: “The States Parties to this Constitution,
In conformity with the Charter of the United Nations,
Bearing in mind the broad objectives in the resolutions adopted by the sixth special session of the General Assembly of the United Nations on the establishment of a New International Economic Order, in the UNIDO Second General Conference’s Lima Declaration and Plan of Action for Industrial Development and Co-operation, and in the resolution of the seventh special session of the General Assembly of the United Nations on Development and International Economic Cooperation.
Now, let me point out something which might be disturbing to you the people. Any person working for or within the United Nations, even for one session, MUST give oath of loyalty to the United Nations and THEIR LOYALTY TO THE UNITED NATIONS MUST SUPERSEDE LOYALTY TO THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION while the United Nations Charter goes on destroying the United States Constitution. This means that every one of your government who even participates in United Nations activities have taken this oath:
” I solemnly swear to exercise in all loyalty, discretion and conscience, the functions entrusted to me as a member of the international service of the United Nations; to discharge those functions and regulate with the interests of the United Nations only in view, and not to seek or accept instructions in regard to the performance of my duty from any government or authority external to the Organization.”
SERIOUS NOTE: The United Nations Charter was also done by unlawful use of the treaty-making power. Now the United Nations is calling for all U.S. citizens to be totally disarmed. Aided by Public Law 87-297, and other new laws, their disarmament treaties will confiscate every gun! Then the police force of the world will fall under the direction of the Soviet General. The United Nations, you will note, will henceforth appoint a “World ‘President” from the permanent members of the Security Council. DO YOU ACTUALLY BELIEVE BUSH CARES WHETHER OF NOT HE IS ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE U.S. AFTER THIS LITTLE TID-BIT? HE BELIEVES HE WILL RULE THE WORLD! I THINK NOT, HOWEVER, FOR THE HEAD OF THE ZIONISTS, HENRY KISSINGER, AND OF CARTEL, DAVID ROCKEFELLER, (ENTITIES THEREOF) HAVE THE SAME NOTION AND I WOULD GUESS THAT THEY WILL HAVE THE FINAL SAY ABOUT SUCH A THING…

    CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED NATIONS
    INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION
    Treaty Doc. No. 97-19
The White House, October 5, 1981,
Transmittal letter of the President of the United States to the Senate of the United States:
With a view to receiving the advice and consent of the Senate to ratification, I transmit herewith a copy of the Constitution of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). This Constitution was adopted by the United Nations Conference on the Establishment of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization as a Specialized Agency on April 8, 1979, and signed on behalf of the United States of America on January 17, 1980. The report of the Department of State with respect to the Constitution is also transmitted for the information of the Senate.
The Constitution would establish UNIDO as an independent specialized agency of the United Nations system. It does not create a new entity, but rather revises UNIDO’s existing legal framework in a way that significantly improves the position of the United States and other major donors in budget, program and assessment determinations.
UNIDO’s principal purpose is to foster the industrialization of developing countries. It is currently the third largest executing agency for the United Nations Development Program. UNIDO’s wide-ranging activities are geared to aid developing countries in establishing the technical and institutional skills necessary for the industrialization. Many of these activities are consonant with the United States development of indigenous entrepreneurial and productive capabilities in the private sector. United States commercial and academic interests also benefit from UNIDO activity.
[RM: Among other things, UNIDO provided trained labor, resources and infrastructure to receive American Corporations who would soon be fleeing America after the UNIDO, WTO and NAFTA became law, in favor of cheaper labor costs, lower tax burdens and less oppressive U.S. governmental regulations. And it was done with American tax dollars. Yes, we-the-American-people unwittingly financed our own socioeconomic demise. The fleeing of the American corporations, of course, put millions of Americans out of work. Ronald Reagan was perhaps our most popular Republican president of the 20th century. But look at the socioeconomic damage that he initiated and then caused America with the help of congress, by signing and passing this evil, unconstitutional United Nations Constitution into law. This is what happens when we-the-American-people blindly trust our presidents and congresses to do the right thing and don't maintain the constant constitutional vigilance necessary to protect the U.S. Constitution and our constitutionally protected liberties.]
In recent years, there has been growing recognition of the need to formulate more effective institutions within the United Nations system to deal with the problems of development in an increasingly interdependent world. Such institutions need to serve the interests of all member nations and to be governed in a manner that realistically reflects the political and economic situation in the world today.
The Constitution would give UNIDO a new governing machinery that will make it more responsive to its member governments and that will give greater recognition to the special role of major donors, including the United States, other industrial democracies, and the Soviet bloc. If they act together, the major donors will be able to block decisions on UNIDO’s program and budgets. In this respect, the Constitution is a precedent-setting document.
The Constitution would also provide a specific right to withdrawal for UNIDO if the United States should ever determine that its interests are not served by continued membership. This could not be accomplished under UNIDO’s current statute without withdrawal from the United Nations.
While the Constitution refers to the objectives of helping establish a new international economic order, the United States has made clear its view that this does not refer to any preconceived notion of such an order as outlined in some UN resolutions to which the United States has taken exception.
The Constitution offers the United States important advantages over UNIDO’s current status. It provides an opportunity to increase UNIDO’s effectiveness in promoting economic development in the developing countries and, thus, its contribution to a more equitable and peaceful, international environment. In addition to helping create a better institutional framework, ratification of the Constitution by the United States will be a strong reaffirmation of our commitment to the industrial development of the less developed countries and demonstrate our political will to pursue beneficial relations with these countries.
I recommend that the Senate give prompt consideration to the Constitution and advise and consent to its ratification.
    RONALD REAGAN…
(* * And so it was ratified and signed by Ronald Reagan.)

    INTRODUCTION
Future generations will thank us for what we do in adopting simple phrases and allowing them to evolve as the state of the world, and the factual interdependence of the world, makes it necessary and appropriate that it should evolve
–John Foster Dulles, to the San Francisco Conference delegates 1

The power to interpret is the power to create law. 2 However, the United Nations Charter (hereinafter “the Charter”) does not provide for one authoritative interpreting body, but rather it is subject to multiple levels of interpreters whose interpretations are not binding. 3 These multiple layers of interpreting acts complicate the process of determining the Charter’s meaning. 4 The Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties (hereinafter “the Vienna Convention”) created rules for interpreting treaties in an attempt to provide consistency and clarity in the interpreting process. 5 However, the Charter is not an ordinary treaty. It is a constitutive treaty, creating a complex of organs similar to those of a state. 6 Arguably, the Charter should be subject to a different standard than that applied to treaties, or alternatively, should be characterized as a World Constitution. 7 Characterizing the Charter as a constitution would allow interpretations of the Charter to keep pace with the changes and developments in international law and the needs of the international community. 8 Such flexibility would comport with the notion expressed above by John Foster Dulles that the Charter must be allowed to evolve with the changing circumstances…

We spend $4 Billion a day we don’t have

Between 2006 and now the deficit (after the ceiling increase) will double

We borrow .40-.45 of every dollar we spend

The Feds have 100,000 more employees than 2 1/2 years ago

50 Million people receive food stamps

50% of all people pay no taxes and many get refunds for taxes they never paid.

Big government crashed the economy by interfering in the housing market. Brilliant idea to get everybody a house, even those that couldn’t afford it!

DC needs common sense and neither political party has it! The TEA Party sent reps to the House to stop the out of control spending. The future of our children and grandchildren depend on it.

The whole debt ceiling is easy – just FREEZE SPENDING at last years level – without the automatic increases. It won’t solve the deficit, but 2012 will.

  • Always Right

freeze spending, cut the “earned income credit” to people who didn’t pay in, round-up and deport illegals after seizing ALL their assets, to be sold at auction to reimburse for costs, check welfare rolls against auto registration to see how many welfare recipents are driving welfare Cadillacs, then arrest them for fraud and cut off all funds. End all visa’s and deport the holders of same.

We are at WAR to restore our country to its glory. Our CURRENT Battlefield is the Legislature.

We cannot FIX overnight what has taken decades to destroy – so we have to pick our battles accordingly!

Taking the hard line approach of not raising the debt ceiling – just lowers us to level of the Progressives like Obama, Reid and Pelosi.

    WE ARE BETTER than that

Every SMALL Victory going forward will lead us to the BIG FINAL VICTORY! But we have to STAND TOGETHER!

Obama is doing everything he can to divide the nation – we have to STAND TOGETHER or risk LOSING the WAR.

NO I do not like raising the debt ceiling – but we have to win each SMALL battle to WIN THE WAR against the Progressive Agenda!
