MIAMI, Aug. 7 (UPI) — The National Hurricane Center in Miami closed out its books on Tropical Storm Emily Sunday evening as the storm broke up over the Caribbean Sea.

In its final advisory about Emily, the hurricane center said at 5 p.m. EDT the remnants of the storm were about 295 miles south-southeast of Cape Hatteras, N.C., heading to the northeast at about 17 mph with maximum sustained winds of 30 mph.

The center said there were no coastal watches or warnings in effect.

The system was expected to keep heading northeastward or east-northeastward at 20-25 mph during the next day or so before being absorbed by a frontal system.
