Sun May Create Fourth Of July Fireworks For Some
NASA.GOV
NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) captured this image of an M7.9 class flare on March 13.

As Americans throughout the Nation prepare to fire up their grills and load up on fireworks to celebrate Independence Day, the sun may be shooting off some fireworks of its own.

Sunspot AR1515 erupted on July 2 and produced an M5.6-class solar flare that was observed by NASA’s Solar Dynamic Observatory. According to Spaceweather.com, the M-class flare is a powerful event, eclipsed only by a more extreme X-class solar flare.

Earlier in the week, the solar activity disrupted radio communications over Europe and produced brilliant auroras near the Earth’s magnetic poles.

“On July 1st we enjoyed a beautiful display of aurora australis over the German Antarctic Research Station Neumayer III,” said researcher Stefan Christmann. “The air temperature was -30°C with 10 knots of wind. Even so, this was one of the most beautiful experiences so far.”

The latest eruptions from the sun could send beautiful light shows throughout the sky just as many Americans are preparing to ignite their first fireworks in celebration of their Nation’s founding. Check spaceweather.com and NOAA to see if you can expect auroral activity in your area.

Last year, unusually strong solar storms gave people residing in Southern areas of the United States the unique opportunity to enjoy the light shows in the sky.

This is very good info to stay on top of. Space.com or NOAA are two very reliable sources and they list other links that are pertinent also. Our star holds much more control over our climate than we do. Isn’t it funny that the environmentalists and “climate control” idiots never take that into consideration?

    • Robert Smith

But they do. The right wing chooses to ignor that fact.

Where are your facts? Not from the popular press, nor from THE POTUS!!!!!!!!! We are told on a daily basis that we, especially, “WE THE PEOPLE WHO INHABIT THE US”, are the culprits. Deny that! Left or Right wing, not withstanding.

Rob . . . none of the fraudulent Komputer Models spawned by Jones at East Anglia take into consideration the effect of the SUN on the Planet. In fact, there are many thousands of events on the earth that effect the climate . . . the Komputer Models ignored the vast majority of them. No wonder they have been 100% WRONG for over 20 years . . .

The Earth is currently the farthest away from the sun: http://www.space.com/16425-earth-farthest-from-sun-2012-aphelion.html

The argument, in scientific circles, is NOT about whether or not climate warming has been initiated by human activity!

Informed opinion, having checked the DETAILS of our current climate, states that the planet IS warming.

The argument in scientific circles is how much does human activity exacerbate that warming. In non scientific circles that same argument is mediated by what would be the COST of reducing that amending action. Business, being ALL about profit making, presents an opinion that first of all denies any involvement in the process, then refuses to take action that would reduce than involvement. but everyone is free to make up his own mind, irregardless of the consequences.

The Reality is . . . the earth has been warming since the last Ice Age . . .
In the 20th Century the globe warmed about 2 degrees . . . the latest IPCC prediction for the 21st Century is warming of about 2 degrees.
Anthropogenic Gorebull Warming has NEVER been Proven, it is an Hypothesis with ZERO Science, only Scientists that “Believe” . . . that is a Religeous exercise ! ! !

Deniers appear to be like birthers. MOF, around here they appear to be the same.

    Revelation 16:8
Fourth Bowl: Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire.

I think the sudden heat wave that is breaking records is another sign that time is short. Not that the fourth bowl has yet been poured out. This is just a little taste of how bad things are going to get.

Do you also think planet earth is only 5,000 years old?

regarding kens remark… (kenny from ri ? what up ! )

my understanding, er rather info from the aether…. is that we may see a Sun Expansion event ( PX swing by ? ) bringing scorching temps ( with many companies providing and advertising SPF products… good for them ) [for a matter of weeks or couple months] followed by extreme cold (in North America) perhaps due to a inner planetary orbital shuffle (once again think PX, ie Nibroo [sic] Planet of the Crossing/ Destroyer / Wormwood / Geiss 182 / “Alien” “Home” “World” )

in other words…. reconcile with loved ones…. start applying Resolve spot-remover daily… grass-fed jerky, slings and arrow proof armor ( the full armor! )…

and when the sun ( or if ) starts scorching…. remember don’t toss out the jackets just yet

For all those who pratice the religion of evalution or humanism? If we were here one million years ago, we would have been 568.18 miles closer to the sun. A fact of science, the sun skrinks at about 3 ft. per year. Just think, this 4th many are burning up, If we were here a million years ago, their would have been no plant life, not alone human life. Waters would have boiled and would have been sterile, no life, so all your want to be dream world idea’s are disputed by real science. Praise the God who Created the Universe out of nothing, man has only destroyed what He created with wars, greed and self.

    • Robert Smith

And how was that god created?

      Rob

      • RichE

Who created God? You’ll need a helmet Robert, rigorous Neanderthals have clubs. Does creation really matter? We’re at a party and all the food and drink are free. Granted, you’ll have to hunt down your beer and gather your h’ordeuvres, but…

568.18 miles closer to the sun would have zero effect on temperature since the sun averages 93 million miles from earth. A million years ago our evolutionary ancestors, homo erectus, were beginiing to walk on the African savanahs
