A recent study conducted by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology suggests that overly strenuous and frequent physical exercise may reduce a woman’s fertility.
The study found that those who trained every day and those who trained to the point of exhaustion were at an increased risk of infertility. Individuals who did both incurred the highest risk.
"When we compared those who trained to exhaustion to those who trained more moderately, we found that the first group had a three-fold greater risk of impaired fertility," said Sigridur Lada Gudmundsdottir, a Ph.D. candidate at the university.
Gudmundsdottir went on to state that a low level of activity is also a deterrent and that moderate physical activity is recommended for those looking to get pregnant.
However, the researchers said that hard training has been shown to be a temporary cause of infertility.

"Foods rich in vitamin C, E and beta-carotenes are good for maintaining a proper ovulation cycle as well as increasing sperm count and motility in men," the source says.
