Student Threatens Man Passing Out Constitution Copies

The video below was recorded by Phil Cleary, a National Guardsman and field representative for The Leadership Institute. Cleary filmed this at the University of Minnesota Duluth on Constitution Day. The characters in this real-life glimpse into the twisted minds of today’s liberals offer at least as much entertainment as their intellectual equals on reality television, albeit with neither the moral gravitas of an episode of “The Jerry Springer Show” nor the academic loftiness of “The Real Housewives of… Wherever.”

The self-proclaimed defender of the supposedly threatened “multicultural center” and devotee of the late terrorist and convict Huey P. Newton is a UMD student named Blair Jordon Moses. Moses (who I suspect would be ecstatic with the nickname “Baby Huey,” although the real Baby Huey allegedly murdered a woman for calling him “Baby”) takes up most of the screen time. However, his asinine rants are noteworthy only for the overt nature of the threats they contain.

In fact, I’m tempted to forgive Baby Huey, if only because he’s clearly a victim of the teachers’ unions and their apparatchik accomplices in what passes for higher education. Granted, he did threaten Cleary, so he’ll probably be expelled, or not. He is a member of one of America’s protected classes; so for all I know, he may ride this video of what appears to be his mental breakdown to the Presidency of the student senate.

Give Baby Huey credit for some remarkable logical calisthenics. First, he threatened to shoot Cleary: “I just want to let you know, that if you ever threaten the multicultural center, I will exercise it (my 2nd amendment rights).” Then — if you’ll pardon the turn of phrase — he shoots himself in the rhetorical foot by proclaiming that he doesn’t “believe” in the Constitution. Is that how that works? You just refuse to believe in it. He would be better off refusing to believe his idol was gunned down in a crack deal gone awry. Let me check… nope, Newton is still dead.

When I was in school, threatening to shoot another student usually resulted in a one-way ticket home, although I can’t remember any junior-varsity racists actually threatening to kill people back then. But I attended one of the finest colleges in the nation.  Baby Huey attends one of the finest colleges in northeastern Minnesota.

The real treat in this live-action dramedy arrives at 2:19. Witness the sweeping entrance of UMD senior administrator Susana Pelayo-Woodward, the director of the Office of Cultural Diversity. From her role in the incident, I glean that she clearly needs remedial education on not only diversity and tolerance, but basic adult responsibility — not to mention the U.S. Constitution. Although she was undisturbed by Baby Huey threatening another UMD student’s life, she was worried about something: Cleary was handing out copies of the Constitution. Pelayo-Woodward asked: “Is this a white supremacist group? It looks like one.” In yet another remarkable intellectual milestone for the peculiarly circular logic of liberalism, she ignored the death threat from the budding terrorist in order to smear the document which allows her the right to smear the document which allows her the right to smear… forget it.

Call it a sense of patriotic civic duty or perhaps a glimmering ember of hope that our country won’t someday be consigned to the stewardship of a generation which is cerebrally outmatched by currently lower life forms like cockroaches, amoebas and Rosie O’Donnell, but I actually expressed my concerns over the ordeal in an email to members of the University of Minnesota Board of Regents, the President of UM and senior personnel at UMD. I pointed out the obvious distress they should experience over one student threatening another, the fact that the aggressor was motivated by the unhinged hate which he appears to have picked up while imprisoned in their institution, and the fact that a member of their senior administration was unruffled by Moses’ verbal assault because she was too busy proving she wears the same idiotic blinders. I also noted that should they eschew disciplinary action against both Moses and Pelayo-Woodward, they would be exposing themselves to a lawsuit which would treat their funding like Godzilla treated downtown Tokyo. In fact, should Baby Huey decide to act out on his threats, not an impossibility if he’s trying to emulate Newton, then they may well be criminally liable as well as civilly so.

Wonder of wonders, someone at UMD is checking the mail. I received the following response:

At UMD, we place a priority on creating a positive and inclusive campus climate. In fact, advancing equity, diversity, and social justice is a core value of our university and is a goal of the UMD Strategic Plan. Freedom of expression, diverse views and opinions, and philosophical debate are part of the treasured tradition of this country’s public universities and the University of Minnesota Duluth. Moreover, UMD takes very seriously its zero tolerance for violence.

Regarding your specific concern, the September 16 incident involved people exercising their constitutional right to express their personal opinions and philosophies. UMD’s Office of Student Life is working to resolve any issues resulting from the encounter.

The representative from Youth for Western Civilization is not a UMD student. Like others who are not students at UMD or groups not registered as student organizations at UMD, he was welcomed to express his views and to distribute information on our campus within the guidelines established for such activities. This welcome continues for all who want to have a public forum to express views.

That qualifies as the most Byzantine babble which has ever appeared in my inbox, and I’m counting that sweet deal the Nigerian barrister clued me into. They are on the case, and they are planning nothing. UMD considers Baby Huey’s threat to Cleary’s life a “constitutional right.” As for Pelayo-Woodward, the email gave nary a hint as to her fate. After I read UMD’s simpering pablum, I called my brother and told him to scratch UMD off the list of possible schools for my nephew, who happens to be an exceptionally gifted hockey player. Actually, the little guy is also a smart cookie, so UMD was unlikely to make the list.

In the past, I and my colleagues at Personal Liberty Digest™ have often reminded you of the essential hypocrisy of liberalism. Although some of the other writers might be more diplomatic about it, I will simply say: Liberal ideology is pure excrement. (Actually, I was going to use more vivid terminology; but each time I do, Mr. Livingston says things like: “How’s your resume looking, Ben?”)

It’s not as if Baby Huey and his hyphenated-American consort are isolated in their appalling hatred. Just last week, a liberal named Stephen Hanks verbally assaulted Bristol Palin in a New York bar. Hanks’s rant was classless and obscene — or, as Bill Maher would call it, “brilliant.” However, it translates from the liberal hate speech as: “I hate your mother so much, I can’t stop myself from attacking her children.” Head union thug Jimmy Hoffa Jr. wants to “take out” the Tea Party. When a Teamsters Union thug talks about taking someone out, he doesn’t mean to dinner and movie. Representative Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) said the Tea Party is destined for “hell.” The last time I checked, that decision is above her pay grade. And Mad Maxine should probably focus on her own upcoming judgment; odds are, she is far from guaranteed a ticket upward in eternity. Common Cause members have demanded the enslavement and/or lynching of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Lest we think UMD is alone in its madness, consider pretty much everything that’s ever happened at Berkeley.

Granted, we conservatives have a few rotten eggs floating in the barrel, like the heckler who recently called President Obama “The Antichrist.” Obama wishes he was that big-time. I’m not even convinced Satan would hire him as an intern; although, perhaps George Soros could put in a good word for him with the lord of evil. We conservatives make fun of our loose screws; the Democrats send theirs to Congress, elect them President and watch them on MSNBC. Moreover, the Democrats give them influential positions shepherding young minds. Judging by the incident at UMD and the school’s lack of concern, that’s where they are inflicting the most damage.

    Parents in Minnesota (and any other state that has students at UMD), get your kids OUT of that moonbat school. In a school where hypocrisy, favoritism, ‘equity,’ diversity and social justice are all means to an end, only budding social pariahs and freedom-haters have any business being there.
    As for young Mr. Moses, he’s already proven his supreme lack of knowledge. As is so typical of wannabe activists and Constitution-haters, he wants it ‘both ways.’ No can do, comrade. Move your sorry rump to Cuba, where you can see in person what happens when theory trumps reality. Enjoy, and be sure to keep in touch, comrade. Maybe you can teach Fidel a few things about tolerance and neosocial justice.

      I was a young child in 1971 when my Mother graduated from UNC in Asheville.
      Even then, she had a professor that asked (on the first day) all of his students if they believed in Jesus Christ. She and a few others raised their hands. This professor said they would fail his class. This southern university was riddled with communism and anti Christian sentiment forty years ago. This story proves it has only gotten worse.
      This is what happens when good people do nothing. Now it is out of hand and will take a tremendous push to start to eradicate it.
      We will have to be strong and stick together. Pulling our children out of public education and placing then in a school that reflects our personal values is the start, but we have so far to go as the cancer is wide spread.

          worshipping christianity,they are giving out fines for more than 3 people,another person asked who told them that they were reading the bible there and having bible classes,stand up fellow “Christians for our

            Ralph! That is total BS! We just had a discussion over that topic over the weekend here. A pastor is having 50 people to his house for Bible study twice a week, and it isn’t zoned for a church. That’s the story! It’s people like you who get the rumors going and get everyone in a tizzy about Christian persecution! I would bet that even the officer who gave them the summons is a Christian. Right or wrong, the law is the law. They can fight it; that”s their right.

            So Karolyn……..the Government now “zones” places of study? And can tell any faith whether or not they can hold study in a building based on the number of participants? Do you need the same zoning permit to sell candles or tupperware in a residence to more than 3 people? What does zoning for a church have anything to do with bible study? This point is that anyone should be able to hold a party or bible study or tupperware/knick knack sales in their residence without any government interference. Rumor or not, it’s people like you that show your closed minded hypocrisy when Christianity is brought up and attempt to justify the shutting out of that religious faith.

            And I am no follower of the Christian faith, nor any other religious organization. But their freedom to gather where ever they want to study or worship should not be dictated by anyone, period…especially government.

            Please advise as to whether a wiccan group has zoning permits or needs zoning permits to gather in a forest clearing to hold worship?

            karolyn – No, the law is not the LAW. Any “law” that infringes on our Constitutional Rights or our rights as sovereign beings is called an “act” or a “statute”, and is only binding if we agree and comply.

            This is part of the problem we have today in America. People have become so used to bowing to what they perceive as “authority” that they have lost all concept of what our nation was all about. Legislators have no right to pass laws that are overstep, and we cannot be bound by them. Otherwise, the Law of the Land would be of no use at all, and we’d be at the mercy of those in power.

            Wait. It would seem, by our silence that we are. We are no longer a people who know who they are. We have become serfs.

            Some people DO speak up, but the Police have already thrown them in jail or given them a fine for “not following the law”, because the Law Enforcement Officers are following the ‘act’ or ‘statue’ as if it were law until they are told different. A person would have to either serve jail time and pay a series of fines OR sue in a court of injustice where they will be judged by a group of their peers… what if the jury was half or more liberals who can think straight… NO JUSTICE there.

            I read about that and that is a clear constitution violation. They were doing no harm and practicing their freedom of religion, and they also have a right to peaceful assembly. 3 or more people is not very many, I’ve been involved in acting troupes that have over 30 people in a private residence for regular meetings. This little statute, act whatever they are calling it needs to be removed for clear violations.

            Christin – Exactly. This is how they bully us into compliance. We’d rather give up one freedom after another if it keeps the “law” away from us.

            The trouble is, they are closing in tighter and tighter. It won’t be long until they’ll nail you for something. You won’t even know you broke the “law”.

            The time to stand up is NOW, regardless of what they do to us. Not to hold firm is to insure they keep moving in until there’s nothing left to lose. We have to be prepared to go to jail or do whatever it takes to let them know we aren’t going to take this lying down anymore. If enough of us refuse to cave, we have a chance. If we continue to knuckle under, we deserve what we get.

            Freedom is never free.

        That’s because Asheville NC is a liberal haven filled with coffee shops, head shops and arts & crafts shops. Entering historic Asheville through Beaucatcher Tunnel is like a trip back to the lost world of 1969. Where the streets are filled with left over hippies. Where long hair and tattered blue jeans are in, and bathibg is apparently banned. Where sporting peace signs and rainbow tattoos on their way to purchase a pack of Zig-Zag and some incense and peppermints is accomplished while floating on an entitlement cloud.

            So Karolyn, you want to relive the 60′s and 70′s??? I don’t. I remember Manson, Griffth Park, the entire rest of the destruction of property, people getting killed, beaten up, and on and on.

            As far as being an entrepreneur, you have to be willing to eat, sleep, breathe your idea and to live on nothing, less than $2 an hour to make it come to life. And nowadays, you have to worry about the Fed coming in and taking it over because you used the wrong water, put something back into the air (even water), planted something in the ground, scooped up something in the ground to make your product, much less being taken over for selling something as simple as a natural product like goat milk. Then you have all the minority groups that will sue you for not hiring outside of your group. Add the illegals. And then, there is the union if you get over 10 people in your shop. Remember the Fed has warrantless powers.

            Good luck with that one.

            All that aside, any one who wants to start a business had better learn to live with it, day and night. The only thing getting in your way is you, not the dirt roads, nor the government. It was a much simpler world before all the commotion in the 60′s. All races had small businesses and we frequented them all. It was harder for some to get started but perserverance prevailed–and it was usually done with saved cash, not a government handout.

            BTW, you know NIKE was created in a kitchen with a waffle iron, didn’t you? General Motors in a small garage? The Wright Bros with a bicyle shop?

            Open minds brought us the boy in the video. The one who wants to irresponsibly exercise a right PROTECTED by the contract he doesn’t believe in.

            In so doing he irresponsibly exercises another right protected by that very same contract (US Constitution) he doesn’t believe in.

            mickey – I have been an entrepeneur. I had my own antiques shop in PA and have been selling online for 13 years and at flea markets for 20. Even going back to the 70s, I did handmade items and sold them at craft fairs. Today is a different world, plain and simple. A place like Asheville has a market for what I do. There is no market here for much of anything, bottom line.

            I like your sentiment Karolyn, but Ashville will wind up looking more like it’s neighbor to the west, Gatlinburg,TN a former art colony, now with gift shops, filled with Chinese crap, instead of hand made crafts. I was there in the mid 60s and a recent visit brought a tear of remorse.

The masses in general would rather buy a cheap piece of crap from China than spend a little more for something handcrafted or antique that will last forever. I always tell people, especiall the young, that the best place for furniture is an auction, where you can get wonderful furniture that’s been around for many years and ain’t gonna fall apart because it’s made of green wood.

        I was fifteen years old in 1947 when an elderly gentleman next door invited me to accompany him to a meeting being held at 8:00 PM; without my parents knowing what the meeting was all about, they granted me permission to go. That meeting turned out to be an American Communist Party meeting.

        I couldn’t believe to what I was listening to? It sounded like an over-throw of the United States government. A member stood up and said; “How can we accomplish anything when we are such a small party? A speaker approached the podium and said; “The key word is ‘infiltration!” He then began to elaborate and said; “We are going to infiltrate the major political party, labor unions, news Medias, and the educational institutions across the country where we will ‘indoctrinate’ the young students, rather than educate them.

        After the meeting was over, some guy grabbed me by the arm and pulled me over to the side of the auditorium and said; “If you expose anything that was said at this meeting; we will make you disappear.” I never told my parents or anyone else about this threat until a few years ago. The only reason why I remember this incident so vividly, was because of the threat. Now you know what ‘party’ is running this country today.

          This was a very interesting experience you had. Isn’t it funny how when you were so young you obeyed what they told you to do, and you kept silent? Now we see how they can intimidate and indoctrinate our young people.
          We have certainly seen how they have infiltrated our major plitical parties. Our labor unions are full of communists, as well as the news media and much of our education system. our youth are being indoctrinated every day to be pacifists, and taught how to lie, steal, cheat and not care. This is one of the reasons the morality of our country has gone down so far.

            Thanks for your service 1st Sgt.But Jana if I am not mistaken Hitler placed a ban on unions. Now if you want to ban unions then go all the way. Do away with minimum wage, child labor laws, safety, you know let the boss lock us up in the work place, do away with the 40 hour work week, employer health care benefits. And oh yeah, let the boss determine who gets a raise and how many hours you work before it is considered overtime. I am sure the Koch brothers want to pay every one of their employees what they consider a fair wage. Besides, with all the voter repression being sponsored by Rove, Army, and the Koch brothers you may get your wish for at least 4 years. (Not the next 4 though) It amazes me how all of this has been put at the feet of unions. Wow, if the republicans had the union vote I guess the unions would be declared American again. But then again conservatives are the only real Americans in this country. More American than the American Indian.

This is why we, parents, are obligated to teach our children how to observe, listen, and reason/think things out for the “truth”, for peace, to arrive at having the best people possible as our leaders, which we have not had with the last two Presidents and many in Congress. I very much like how Representative Nugent represents himself and what he stands
        for and we need a lot more like him.

        Amazing! I, too, was a student of UNC in the early ’70′s, but the UNC of Wilmington, NC. NEVER was I questioned by any of my professors about my religious beliefs. My major was Chemistry, don’t know if that had anything to do with it, but never, never, never was religion a point of discussion, and my chemistry teacher was from Greece. Don’t know about today’s colleges and universities. I would have a hard time sending my children to college today, due to the obvious brain damage that the teachers and professors have experienced. We live in very bad times……

        out of the colleges,one lady said she had to have an escort to her home at night and she was a teacher,she said she feared for her life!

        If that teacher failed students based on their belief in Jesus they have a right to sue him and the school for religious discrimination.
        They should be sued to prove Christians are entitled to religious freedom and where the government is always saying for separation of religion and government applies to all religions you can not favor some and penalize others for their religious beliefs.

        When I was taking an Intermediate Accounting course at the University of Hawaii, our professor strutted into the first class like a storm trooper saying “this class is too big, I’ll have to cut it down.” We had 42 night school students registered. This idiot meant that he will flunk out as many as he could to “wittle down” the class. As the program progressed the storm trooper and I had a number of differences regarding process, procedure, the law, anything that I knew for a fact was wrong in his teaching. I had been in the Accounting business for a number of years and he went into teaching right out of college. But I didn’t want him to lay out his garbage on those night students, like all the athiest liberals were doing, and are still doing today. Toward the end of the class term the storm trooper was strutting around the classroom like a peacock, and said, “The trouble with you people, is that everyone wants to be a CPA.” To which I responded, that’s bulls**t, most of these kids already work in the field of Accounting, and just want to learn more about being an Accountant. Besides, a damn CPA is nothing but a high-priced Bookeeper! Needlessto say, the a**hole tried his damndest to flunk me out of the class, but the worst he was able to do was give me a B+ for a final grade. The professor that DULCEB’s mother said she had that asked about Jesus Christ reminded me of that storm trooper I had for an Intermediate Accounting teacher. They are perfect examples of “If you can’t do, teach.”

      The biggest problem is that the Socialist are a lot better organized than, any other group in the country, because they don’t argue as to WHO leads, they are ALL together, unlike the people standing for our Republic, they have a problem with who leads who.         In my observation, living in a conservative state, it seems that most of the people grumble and bitch a lot, but they don’t do anything. They really don’t want any change and are happy sitting in their little ruts and complaining. When extremists want to do something, they do it, whether right or wrong. That’s the difference.

The only thing I can say is that, while conservatives try to stay within the bounds of the Constitution and common decency when speaking out, the Left has no such constraints. And while any form of disagreement from the Right is called “hate” or “racism”, the Left is free to carry on the most vile rants without being called on it.

          Not that the Right would even WANT to go there. You see, conservatives actually BELIEVE in free speech, but also choose to temper their messages with a bit of class and respect. Violence never enters into the bounds of debate.

          The “pot calling the kettle black” routine of Leftist lunies is wearing thin. We’re tired of it. And should the commies decide to start making good on their rantings, I think all bets will be off.

Robert Cowles (R-Green Bay) on March 9, the day the Senate passed a measure to sharply curtail collective bargaining for public workers. Later that evening, she sent another email to 15 Republican legislators, including Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald (R-Juneau), the complaint says.

    The subject of the second email was: “Atten.: Death Threat!!!! Bomb!!!” In that email, she purportedly wrote, “Please put your things in order because you will be killed and your families will also be killed due to your actions in the last 8 weeks.”

No harm came to the Congressman or his family as a result of Leboon’s threats.

That is their warning & if that doesn’t make them drag their butt along the ground as they hastily exit, the next ones are a full one ounce of lead. Rock salt in places it doesn’t belong is an excellent deterrent & is non lethal. It also leaves a burning reminder to stay away from whence it came for many hours. Threaten me, you may or may not get away with it. Threaten my Family & you will definitely pay a price for that threat. There are so many degrees of the left and the right, and I feel that everyone is maligned according to the general term for their leanings. Actually, it seems to me that labels should be thrown out altogether and people should just be judged by their individual actions. Maybe those who carry out extreme stupid actions, like “Baby Huey” could just be labeled “extremists.” Throw all left and right whackos in the same category (and cell) and let them deal with each other while leaving the rest of us out of it.

The verbal abuse would curl your hair & once I was actually assaulted with a car, by a young woman because she was going to be late for work. Our Fire Trucks were blocking the road to protect Fire Hose. She had absolutely no compassion for the homeowner who’s home was burning. I see more & more young people with this attitude now. Patients or compassion seems to be lacking in today’s youth. I am afraid civility is a thing of the past as it is now the “me” generation. Nothing is important but them & their beliefs are law.         Back in the early 70s when I was a college student, we had the SDS and Black Panters come to “organize” our campus. They couldn’t get a dozen people to pay any attention to them. Finally one of the SDS leaders told a football player that he was going to come to all their meetings and get his friends to do the same. If he didn’t, they would have an assassin come in and shoot him.

        A number of ex-military students paid a visit to the SDS leader. The ghist of their talk was that they hadn’t had any real fun since Vietnam. If the football player even got a scratch in practice, they were going to declare war on the SDS and the Black Panthers – starting with the SDS leader.

        The next day there wasn’t a member of either group on campus.

But I will agree with you about the KKK since I lived close to the Grand Dragon city (very small town, about one block long). I was scared to go there in the daylight and avoided it after dark.     Personally, I think we should have eliminated the formations of ANY parties in our legislative branches. Party members sounds too much like communism to me. You join a party, you are then mentally condemned to follow their path no matter if its sound or not. I think we should elect truer Americans, write ins maybe, that have America’s common good in mind. So many say that Ron Paul is the answer. All I see is a man the the Republican party doesn’t necessarily want to follow either, as they desperately look for a better candidate to propose to office since what they got is falling so badly in public support. If Paul were elected, we wouldn’t be seeing Republicans fighting Democrats, we would merely be seeing Repugs fighting Repubs. I read all this hype about one party over another, and all I see is a lost nation and a lost people. Its like joining any party that professes they are for freedom of the country or enforcing liberty. More often than not, their means to a goal are blinded by party priorities, party policies and “party favors”.

Repubs are for Right to Life, Dems are for abortion on demand (the killing of unborn babies) and want tax payers to pay for it. Repubs are for a balanced budget and smaller, less intrusive gov’t, while dems want to tax and spend, so they can buy votes, by promising people entitlement programs (money for nothing)and creating a bloated buracracy funded by taxpayers and borrowed money, causing many companies to outsource offshore, costing us our jobs. Of course unions have a heavy handed role, as well… but you should be getting the idea, by now. It’s really more inportant to study the difference between Conservatives and Liberal Progressive Socialist, see where you belong and support the party that has the most, with which you agree… when your old enough to vote.

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes shopping for it or may choose a job that provides it, but a liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his. And finally, # 8, if a conservative reads this, he forward it on so that all his friends can have a good laugh, but a liberal will delete it because he is “Offended”. There are the differences, that make this guy be the libeal jerk he is.

      This is so true. I experiences this when I lived in LA some 40 yrs ago. The midwest was sane then. Now the lawsuits from CA determine what we do here now too.

      We used to take pocket knives to school, a sign of coming of age, and no threat of being hurt. Now kids take guns to school with the intent of harm. Social conservatives want school prayer, abortion banned, creationism taught in schools, tougher anti-drug laws and sentences, bans on pornography, tougher anti-immigration laws, the closing down of mosque construction, the removal of gov’t regulation on air, water, and food quality, etc, etc. Just like liberals, conservatives have powerful, in fact much more powerful lobby groups and think tanks constantly pushing to have their policies enacted into law.         True Conservatives believe that Government should follow the Constitution, Mark. Many of those efforts you describe are not coming from True Conservatives, rather they are coming from people who are not much less Liberal than you are. They just have a different agenda.
        As far as school prayer and creationism go, you Liberals could solve the controversy easily and peacefully by championing Education Choice Vouchers so that each of you could choose the schools of your choice. But you don’t really want that, do you? The true agenda of Liberalism is to rid our country of Christianity because it competes with the religion of Liberalism. Unfortunately, my niece graduated from college as a ‘journalist.’ The college communist professors brain-washed her so badly, that nothing else gets through to her. It seems as though her brains were buried in concrete block. Furthermore, she believes that the foreign-born Muslim Communist illegal U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama II is God. She disagrees with the entire U.S. Constitution, and doesn’t believe anything about the Declaration of Independence. My God! What are they doing to our current generation of youths?

      I am happy to say that there is one college in this country that I know of who isn’t touched by the currect government. In fact; knowledge of American history, U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, is mandatory. The college accepts no money from the government; just like my bank. And so, the government has no control over these institutions. Any institutions who accepted money from the government have surrendered their independence and freedom to operate independently.

Where I live it’s DIRT roads, and even on the paved roads you can’t see the side or center lines on them in the unlit nighttime. That school in Dillon that was spotlighted in 2008 as being so decrepit and disgusting is finally being replaced; and it oly took 3 years!

            In 1991 I bought a home in a sub-division with chip and seal roads (pea gravel and tar.) This was a detraction from home values and the completion of the sub-division. I became a trustee in 1996 and instituted a special assessment of $ 1400 per lot, in order to finish the roads and have them paved. There was a lot of arguing and bickering. When it was completed it only took 18 months for the remaining lots to be sold and every home increased in value by 20%. That is how things get done. People have to take care of the problems they face themselves, not rely on someone else to do it for them. Wake up and smell the coffee.

            Well, Karolyn, I guess I grew up in a different era. We had barely passable roads for years, if the Spring floods didn’t take them out. My grade school was a one room school until the boomers and then we had 80 in the classroom. My little sister had a desk in the hallway. This went on until the 5th grade, 10 years after the war, when a new school was built. lol, it is the locals who determine where the money is spent so put pressure there.

            I live now, in rural midwest and we have no dividing lines. We had a gravel road until I moved here and that was based on the number of houses on the road. This is 2011.

            Would I like some of the big city amenities? Yes, but with that would come the riffraff, the road rage, the freeway snipers, the kooks bored and looking for trouble. I left all that and accepted the limited amenities. I fear more from urban sprawl and privacy fences.

            Do we live without some deviates? No, but they are far and few between, not like people stacked on top of each other.

            Where I live we have a paved road, but no sidewalks and no curbs. For years the council has tried to get us to vote for sidewalks and the majority of us have said NO! See concrete here doesn’t hold up well due to the cold, and guess who has to pay to replace the sidewalks when they deteriorate?? Yup, the home owner!!! I’ll stick with the ditches and no sidewalks, thank you very much!!

            Actually, Jeff, I love living in the country; however, after heavy rains or, yes, snow (We had two snows last winter.), there have been times I couldn’t even get down the road. Then, when it’s dry, the dust is horrible. The county probably spends more money sending out graders to keep up with the roads then they would spend to pave a few of the more well-traveled. Of course, there are very low taxes here.

So thats 87 years for the democrats to 24 years for the Republicans.         So Karolyn, what is the answer? I live in a very conservative area. We have the best roads, a few rural roads are gravel, but the city is clean. My neighbor plows ten miles of road every year so that those working can get out to the main roads and to family and to the grocery. Not because he is paid but because it is the right thing to do.

        We used to have excellent schools until the fed got involved. Now the big news is who raped another student for initiation. Neigboring and big city county, not mine. Another county has poor roads and sick schools yet it has a lot of casino money, we don’t. So what is the difference?

        Probably the biggest difference I can see is that this county has few organized “minority” groups. We don’t have to spend our time bending the rules for a few and can go on to progress whereas the other two counties are constantly under threat of lawsuits. Hard to go forward when one is fighting all the time.

        There is nothing wrong with using a dirt road. What’s wrong is thinking that others should be taking care of your needs. You are responsible for making sure your children are educated, not the government. No jobs, just look to the federal government who is actively trying to keep them from your state. Churches are there to give people support in their lives, not live their lives for them. People go to church to interact with people who have the same beliefs, and churches encourage charity to less fortunate people. Government believes in taking what you have so they can give it to who they believe are unfortunate, like banks, auto makers, and green industries that have clearly failed. The federal government’s idea of charity does not help it’s people at all.

      Come on down to south central Missouri, people here are very friendly and still hold on to their value’s. Taxes/homes prices are very low, there are jobs if you want one, hospitals are very nearby. The culture/pace is more relaxed and people still help people and we don’t live right on top of each other. Beef, poultry, pork in the stores are grown locally. Another plus is that the air is very clean here.

    In 2003 I had an anti-Bush bumper sticker on my truck. I parked it at the airport, when I came back someone had taken a screw driver and destroyed my bumper to deface that bumper sticker.

    I replaced it with another one, while driving down the road , I had some guy pull up next to me and flash me the bird. He then swerved and tried to cut me off – ya conservatives are for freedom of speech also…….

It is not at the extent to end white people. It is to end a system that debases non-whites to sub-human levels. Many non-whites actually care less about any particular white person. We are up against a system put in place to uphold white-skinned privilege. We want our privileges back, that were robbed of us. Some of those privileges are 1) not being arrested at the drop of a hat, 2) having our men respected and able to defend their family and community without calling out the paramilitary, 3) the right to establish businesses in our community with the financial incentives and backing that non-community members have access to, 4) the right to have every other culture learn just as much about our heroes as we have been forced to learn in our schools about theirs from pre-k through college, 5) the right to bear arms and march on the Nations Capital like a particular group did just a couple of years ago, 6) minimize the mindset that if someone doesn’t cater to the whims of a flawed justice system (ie. Sharpton/Jackson) they must be ‘terrorists’ or some other criminal element, etc.

At one time, I was passive to events happening too until there was a turning point and I said enough was enough. There is a line. There is a time to turn the other cheek and a time to fight.         When a child is small (immature) you must occasionally punish him for doing something wrong to teach him. The longer you put off teaching him to not do wrong, the worse the punishment must be when you do attempt to administer it. If you wait until they are in college, you must pound them – and they are certainly a thug.

        One of the real problems right now in our country is that too many of “Momma’s like darlings” has been that they haven’t ever been taught right from wrong. And they end up in prison as a result.

        (One with a life sentence in Texas now shot and killed a woman to steal her car. He insisted that it was her fault and he wasn’t responsible – because he’d told her to give him the keys and she refused. After all, she should have realized how important the car was to him and how important he was and given him the car.)

    A few years ago my seventh grade son was accosted by several other kids from his school. He defended himself, and was then promptly suspended. The priciple immediatly contacted me and told me to come to the school and get my son. It took some serious discussion with the principal to get him back in school. The other kids were never punished. My son was a top student, on the honor roll, and never caused any problems.

    So, even in middle school, they are rewarded for this kind of behavior.

      The same thing happened to my son. I moved. I understand the reasoning, protect their child from any record so the kid could go on to college. My son made his own way and is quite successful. I often wonder about the other boy who learned he had no consequence for his intial actions.

      They tried that with my kid in middle school. She was being bullied and threatened by some girl and had her notebook taken from her right off her desk. I went over to the school and demanded that this bully be suspended and the immediate return of the notebook that I bought. They responded, “If your kid defends herself, she will be expelled.” I said, “What?? Fine, my lawyer will be in touch. If she puts her hands on my child, lawsuits will fly. But how about dealing with this bully.”

      They brought my kid in with her friends and found out that this girl beat up a boy in her class. This notebook was taken right in front of the teacher, who did nothing. I told my kid that she has our express permission to defend herself if she has to if that girl puts ever her hands on her.

      The school had no choice but to handle the bully. If there is a “no tolerance” policy for bullies, why did the teacher allow this in class?

      In high school, one of our marching band members got suspended because a well-known great-big bully picked a fight with this little guy, and he defended himself and laid one solid punch on this bully’s chin. The other band parents were angry. I hugged that boy and told him that it was alright to defend yourself. There is only one way to deal with a bully, head on. And by doing that, you avoid Colombine all over again.

      Maybe we’re all just getting tired of getting bullied and pushed around by this prevailing attitude in this country. Interesting video and post and enlightening comments. Thank you.

        You know, maybe I shouldn’t admit this, but sometimes I was a bully and sometimes the victim of bullying. It does take a stand to confront a bully. Although, we did things like take books, cause students to drop them, etc, it wasn’t a real big deal then because we were all up to it until it became a joke (no anger). We all generally left the kids that didn’t want to play alone and didn’t harrass them. But then, there were no lawsuits, only parents who we feared more.

        Boys were generally the instigators. For some reason a boy would whap another because they wanted to be friends. Hard concept to understand. Now, it is both genders and very aggressive.

        We all grew out of it and knew our limits anyhow. Today, a kid is simply labeled for life, as in the little 6 yr old boy who kissed another 6 yr old girl and got slapped with sexual harrassment. Somethings should just be left alone and let the kids work it out. Watchful as parents, but give kids some breathing room to make their own decisions.

        OTOH, my son was beat up by a bunch of girls (brief period). I finally looked at the size of the girls and the size of my son. I gave him permission to fight back. He did, just once, they backed off and all became friends.

        One of the kids in a local school was picked on by three other girls. When she was jerked to the ground backwards by her hair she tried to fight. The principal placed her on in-school suspension. Her mother went to school and wanted to know why the three girls weren’t on suspension too. She was told that the girls belonged to a gang. They didn’t want gang trouble so they were only punishing her duaghter for fighting back.

        The mother told them that her daughter was coming off suspension and it was coming off her record or else she was going to the police. They let her daughter go.

      Mine too. They call it “jumping”. Two or three come up from behind and “jump” the kid. None of the “jumpers” were punished. (All …tino, I might add…..My son was new and was suspended for two weeks. The jumpers were suspended for 3 days. Got a hand slap from the courts. If it wasn’t for an older boy driving by, he could have been killed. He intervened and stopped it. When I went to the principals office and saw my son with blood and mud all over his T-shirt, I went into “safe mode”, like when your computer crashes. I’ll never know how, but I got him to the hospital and moved very soon. The “school principal” was a puppet zombie. My kid was new back here and was just walking to the curb waiting for me to pick him up. Please liberal clones, stop defending this! There is more, so much more…..

Also why would any black man respect the U.S Constitution? This is a document written by slaveholders who enshrined their rotten immoral institution into our national life. After this horror was corrected with the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments for around a dozen years, the American people and authorities completely turned their back on the Constitution, a wildly poplular response, and denied blacks all of their constitutional rights in the South and border states for nearly a century. The Constitution gave zero protection to blacks from the late 1870s until the mid-1960s, including the thousands of African-Americans who were gleefully lynched by God-Fearing, Christian, conservative U.S. citizens of the South. That laughably “sacred” document also gave zero protection to Japanese-Americans in the 1940s, another incredibly popular violation of individual rights that 95% of the American people agreed with during World War II. The U.S. Constitution has mostly been a racist joke designed to protect the rights of the white majority only. Ask American Indians about the “sacred” U.S. Constitution. They spit on it. And who can blame them after what the people who wrote and later worshipped it, did to them.

        No, my post included the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments that all came out of the Civil War. I didn’t gloss over them. But the 14th and 15th amendments lost all force of law for nearly a century in the South and border states and even other places like Kansas, Oklahoma, and Southern Indiana that practiced Jim Crow segregation and widespread denial of minority voting rights. And even with the 13th amendment, yes slavery ended, but serfdom in the South continued with the sharecropper, tenant farming, and crop-lien system that kept many blacks nearly as subordinated as slavery did for another century.

          You do realize that the Civil War was not about slavery but about keeping new states from being slave states, thus the vote and representation in Washington?

          In 66 yrs, I have never had a black person thank me, nor any of my family for fighting, providing underground railroads, nor for fighting for desegregation. I still hear a lot of blame but no thank yous.

          Were there abuses? Yeah, ask the Chinese that worked on the railroads. Thing is, we all share a part of history, the difference is in how we handled it.

            Actually, the Civil War was fought because of States’ Rights. The North wanted to Federalize the government since they controlled Congress to allow the North to confine the South and issue orders to it. Slavery was an issue only because it justified the North in attempting to prevent the South from industrializing. Basically it was a propaganda tool to keep the Northern soldiers willing to fight. Slaves were freed only to try to cause the South problems – and were NOT freed in the North for some years after the Civil War.

          You’re way off the “mark” on OK. If you’d ever lived there (I have), you’d know that it has been one of the most accepting states. By that I mean that WHOLE towns were founded & run by & for blacks–some of them still exist. The Cherokees were fairly democratic in their choices of who was accetable & who wasn’t; the Cherokee Nation in OK helped more than you know raising up the black citizen. There are still bigots there, but by and large, most people of OK don’t practice bigotry. BTW, when I lived in OK, my neighbor to the east was Native American (Sac & Fox Nation) & my neighbor to the west was a black cattle rancher who had been in the business for 50+ years. Exactly how does that compute with “keeping the minorities down?”

            Mark is not off the mark. Tulsa OK had one of the worst race riots in our nations history in 1921. Tulsa had one of the most respected black communities in the country yet that didn’t stop the whites from burning it down. We must move beyond all this bickering yet it’s hard when historical events are left out or white washed for respectability.

            Why don’t you tell the rest of the story………it took nearly 10 yrs to rebuild & repatriate those who lost businesses & homes. Most of the money came from white folks thru the Red Cross. Lastly, there is a current movement for reparations to the survivors & families. With that being the case, does OK still belong in the group mark was disparaging?

            And if mark is actually on the “mark” as you claim, why doesn’t he mention the race riots in the north or the ones in CA (so many now, I’ve lost count)?

      You know, I might take you up on some of your points, granted I lived in the midwest, but there is hardly a group of immigrants that didn’t experience some type of discrimination. The difference is we made the most of it once the door was opened and never looked back. Blacks seem to keep the door closed, afraid of what is on the other side.

      Lyching was a picnic event. Horse theives got lynched, innocent people burned at the stake as witches.

      Broaden your view and I think you will see the problem is “stuck” in an old era. Some of my ancestors probably came here in a ship where they couldn’t stand up, crammed so tightly together people suffocated and the corpses rotten at their feet. I didn’t know them, nor of them, but I realized there was no free lunch and someone, somewhere paid a price for me to have an opportunity–and I took it.

      They are dangerous – but only when they know their victims are unable to fight back. It’s like the union thugs. They know they can beat elderly victims safely, particularly when they know the police will arrest the elderly person for fighting back. When they think you might fight back they prefer to hire someone to do it for them.

      Most American taxpayers are not that hardworking. Some certainly are but this is one of those phrases that is thrown around and accepted with little examination. None of us would be amazed anymore at how many workers in offices, in plants, and even on construction sites are not that hardworking. More and more in our automated world of technology and computers people merely put in their time in a pretty comfortable work environment. No one will ever admit this of course. When they go off on the welfare “parasites” and students,they all talk like they crawl down into a coal mine everyday. THEY DON’T.

But then, I grew up poor and a job was a job. Money was money. I spent a lot more time on the poor side than the easier side so I can adjust.     Well, this certainly is a disturbing story to say the least; but what do you expect these days ? Obama didn’t attend Columbia University, but he somehow has credentials that say otherwise. People really do have to think and search harder for higher LEARNING Institutions! Most of these “overpriced” schools are just selling their agenda to OUR kids. Pretty scary to think about these students all grown up, twisted, and free to roam the streets…isn’t it ? Stop sending your kids to these schools or demand an answer from its “core” Regency; and don’t let up until they do.     Is it extremist to expect a politician to keep his oath of office? Some of the people need to read all about George Washington Carver and his thoughts on these things being spoken of. He was a lot more than the peanut man. I’m white and 63 years old and I invite anyone to my facebook page to look at the people I admire. He is listed there and he taught the Tuskeegee Airmen, and they were heroic to our nation despite things they could complain about and be justified in complaining. What Doctor Carver taught was nobility of spirit and it is a lesson anyone could use to better themselves. If you only focus on the bad people of the nation and the ill done then you only hold yourself down. Do the right thing and work to change this nation and this world for the better. I’ve been around this world and this is the best nation for the poor and black and cheated Native American because it gives a chance to be better than the past. I have been cheated but I learned from the apology of Socrates to look beyond to the future. Get up and get your life under control and do the right thing no matter what the rest do.

      Very very true, Dr. Carver was a very smart and fair man.I’ve met several members of the Tuskeegee Airmen at Airventure and at Young Eagles events, they are very proud men and I am very proud of their devoted service to the US. And I’m proud to call them my fellow Americans.

    Oh it wasn’t that bad. The guy did say ‘if threatened’ he would respond. I think discussions like this are good. ‘The guy’ was clearly shocked at how threatening his own rhetoric appeared. Actually I think these controlled discussions are good.
    I don’t know who Huey Newton was. Maybe his record was clouded by white bigotry (which was institutionalized although I know no-one that would repeal equal rights – maybe affirmative action )or maybe he was a murderous thug but I am going to look it up.

    The teacher is another story. What a piece of crap she is. Yet I see her everywhere – tarnishing grades reputations ruining careers and all from an obvious black over white unjustified bias that for some reason is allowed to flourish. Imagine her on the hiring board where your daughter applies for work – because she is!

      I don’t know where your “white bigotry” comes in. You have to remember that most inter city neighborhoods were very mixed, poor lived in them, lesser poor moved to the burbs, and the more monied people had their neighborhoods. Even so, there was a sense of anyone in those neighborhoods would case trouble in another. It had nothing to do with bigotry in your sense of the use. While it may have been true, the poorer neighborhoods would end up with more crime, it doesn’t mean we got away with anything.

      If we did something at a neighbor’s house, the neighbor not only could punish us but via the party phone lines, the entire neighborhood knew we did something and by the time we got home, the parents were waiting. There was no explanation that exonerated us. The neighbor (or any teacher, cop, etc) ruled. Is that bigotry of white on white?

    There are far too many nutcases out there and they don’t have to be into politics. We just had 5 members of a family shot to death by a maniac here in our county. They think they’ve got the guy who did it, but we’re waiting to see the outcome now. Those who espouse getting rid of guns for self-protection don’t have a clue as to when it may be necessary to use them.

    One good thing about living in LA is that I learned I would kill and not look back. I loaded a rifle every night because I eventually learned there were people who really intended to harm me and mine. It took two years after moving back to the midwest to learn to trust my neighbor again. That was years ago. Now I am contemplating acquiring a weapon. What a sad reality that my midwest neighbor may want me dead.

    I am surprised no one has dusted of Merle Haggards’ Okie From Muskogee. I for one will not tolerate the inanity of mouthbreathers such as that college student. They are nothing more than leeches. I do like the reference to them as pseudo-intellectuals. They are smart in their own mind until reality bites them in the behind. What is totally ironic to me is that in any revolution in the past that espouses what these people do are the first to meet the firing squad. If you look at Russia, Cambodia etc. the first to go is the “intelligentsia” that they so proudly claim to belong to. Or if you want look at the way that Hitler’s Brown Shirts were cleaned up after their usefulness was over. But what do I know I actually opened up the books and read them.
    By the way last I checked this country is a multi-cultural center. So I really don’t se why the college wasted money on building one. I’ve learned a lot by being involved in real life with real people as opposed to an insulated make believe world of universities.

      Karolyn, I’m not sure what your point is. Eisenhower didn’t want any more war because it did just as he stated. Unfortunately, many have profited from war (here) and just won’t let it go. Even domestically, we would not feel the need for guns if there wasn’t a threat to our family or property. That is the only reason to have weapons, not to send troops to other lands to blast them for no threat to us, nor for us to arm when the neighbor is no threat.

    The Constitution is considered a living document because the coverage changes over time. As we grow, our understanding of the ideals behind the document change. Yes, the framers of the Constitution were slave owners for the most part, white, powerful men. But the concepts are open ones, as our values have changed, we have accepted that these words belong not to a few, but to all. Yes, we did some pretty horrible things as a society over the last two hundred plus years. But we have also done things no other country does. “Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses”. (yeah, blown quote there) We have evolved our understanding of who the Constitution applies to (and the slave owners argued about how to count freed slaves during the establishment of the Constitution … although how you figure 2/3 of a person ) As a country we have tried to improve who we are and how we deal with our fears. No other country in the world has tried to grow the way we have. The Somalis condone piracy and murder, African countries are still actively committing genocide as have Middle Eastern countries; and the Chinese want to rule us all as a commercial empire if not a political one. We face terrifying times and the Constitution is a place to start to let go of our fears. The document is not the villain of this play, it is the guarantor of freedoms and that is all it was written to be. How it is applied is and always has been up to us, the people.           It may be prudent in the future to allow your site to link up to two sources within a comment. To provide proof for both sides of a debate both for & against what ever the topic happens to be.

          I believe sometimes by doing so it can help show the truth of the topic by comparing the arguments…common sense can then decide which is more logical & actually the best answer. Then we get the percentage of the vast majority of what good people with common sense actually think of said topic.

          However, I suppose you can just post another comment after…but it’s still feels clunky and you may just happen to get another commentor between those posts.

    We have to tell the parents and grandparents to educate the children about what America is about. Because the school systems are failing to teach them the real and true history. We ourselves must learn more about our heritage. If you learn the truth about the past and you teach the truth of the past, hopefully the bad will not be repeated in the future. You also just have to teach 5 people and in turn tell each of the 5 to teach 5.

      Right because the schools K-12 mostly still teach this self-congratualatory, Hallmark card history in which we are wonderful and all the people whose land we stole and whose lives we destroyed more or less deserved it. A real critical history of the United States is still not taught in mostly government-run schools whose main job is to indoctrinate childeren with patriotic fantasies to induce them to enlist. That is why American students are mostly shocked at the college level to learn whath the United States did to Indians, to Mexicans, to the Vietnamese and the Iraqis. They have mostly been brainwashed in K-12 with patriotic platitudes. At the univeristy they get a a more critical analysis of U.S. history that acknowledges the good the United States has done but also points out the numerous robberies, cruelties, and lies that mark our national heritage.

        I’m surprised at the lack of education. This was handled in my grade school and lead me to take other directions to the betterment. However, I am no more the blame for what history reveals than I am for the neighbor who wasted 5 lives. There are arguments for our history, both sides. Ours is to correct it, not keep it going. The only people who remember the Alamo forgets that both sides killed. The same with most other minority groups.

        And yes, I disagree with these current wars. Where are the protests from the younger groups????? All I hear is the gimme people worrying about the gimme check. And the Moses guy, why isn’t he saying the Constitution says war powers belong in the Congress, not the Executive Branch???

When the money runs out, let’s see how willing they will be to allow this time of extremism to exist on their campuses. The student that threatened to kill the National Guardsman should be expelled immediately and arrested for this threats, and the UMD senior administrator Susana Pelayo-Woodward, the director of the Office of Cultural Diversity, should be dismissed from the university. She is obviously and incompetent individual that only serves to instill stupidity in the young minds in her charge.

      You know you have a good point there. Why can’t we organize a group to educate alumni of the education or lack thereof at their particular university? It is my belief that a lot of the donors as well do so out of loyalty to the state, city, or less moneyed. If they found out the question would be , do they want their name attached to activities such as this and others? If yes okay; if not then there other universities and colleges that educate as opposed to indoctrinate that would be happy to accept contributions. The double plus with this is that Susana Woodward would be unemployed and Blair Moses would have to get a job because the university would not afford them.

    I grew up in Cincinnati. We are usualy the last to see all of the trends and while a child we were very conservative. I no longer would chose to live there because of the changes I have seen over the years. The crime rate has gone up in the outlying neighborhoods and you have liberal groups hastling the police for doing their jobs. I moved to a more rural area where the crime is lower. That being said.
    This Country is the best one in the world for oportunity. We have had problems in the past but being raised in a Christion home I was taught to be polite and help people when I can. I do believe in the constitutioin and the second amendment that our connstitutional framers built in, was to give every american the right to and the means to defend themselves. Our constitution was written by God fearing people for all of our benifits. If yoiu don’t like this country us the right that all Americans have and move to another country that is run the way you see fit. Don’t try to destroy ours.

He’s still young. In a few years either he’ll be defending the Constitution. Or he’ll be in another country with a different Constitution, from another perspective and foundation.     The Second Amendment says that individuals have the right to arm themselves. It doesn’t say they have the right to threaten other people.

    And the only reason this individual is not lined up and shot is the First Amendment – which apparently he doesn’t believe in.

    And no where in the Constitution did it talk about any race being less than a whole person – it only talked about “other persons” referring to non free persons. There were non free persons who were black owned by white people and there were non free persons who were white owned by black people.

    And the only reason for this statement was to determine the number of representatives in the House of Representatives.

        Organize: Youth for Western Civilization will identify and organize students to form chapters that will host speakers, protests, educational events, and other activities to promote discourse and inspire action on issues of importance to the survival of our civilization.

        Educate: Youth for Western Civilization will print a publication and host study groups and discussions for the benefit of our members and the public at large.

        Train: Youth for Western Civilization will host conferences, training workshops, and education in political technology to make members more effective in executing the goals stated above.

        The mission page states that it has “the self-evident right and duty to work for the survival of our own culture and civilization.” It explains that “Western Civilization has also given priceless gifts to the rest of mankind, including advances in medicine, the arts, and scientific exploration” and that it has received “continual assault and hatred” from the “radical left”.

    Great commentary, Ben. Love your interpretation of this incident as well as your videos.

    This incident is the perfect example of how double standards and modern liberal hypocrisy abounds. The two folks in this video are shameful people. The single adult/faculty member should be officially censored and chastised. Of course, that will not happen. As for the child who threatened the person handing out constitutions, I doubt he can be reformed.

    Most likely both baby Huey & Susana Pelayo-Woodward are at UMD because of affirmative action. Where else could they get away with overtly threatening another student with violence, be caught doing it AND the very institution they are members of informed but do nothing? Oh, wait, they could also be in the federal government.

    UMD – fix this and do the right thing with these two morons or forever be associated with them. Personally, I hope UMD does nothing – it will give us all we need when our revolution comes. ;-)

      Actually, I expect both to insist that they were “misunderstood”, that they “really didn’t mean it that way” and then try to sue the guy for filming the encounter without their prior permission.

    It is amazing how ignorant one can be while in “college”. I think UMD needs to evaluate their educational process. I’m 63 yrs old, but I’m making CERTAIN that my 3 grandchildren know what the Constitution says, and they know where to find a copy of it in my office if needed.

      the terms open mind and closed mind are relative only to the person using the term. You need to define what you mean specifically by the terms “Open Mind” and “Closed Mind” and how they relate to the threat or the Black Panthers in this video against another who is supposed to be passing out pocket versions of the US constitution. It would seem to me form this short video the supposed black panther is the one with the closed mind.

    if you understand the constitution you know that what we have today is not what our founding fathers created. slavery was evil, but it was allowed in the begening because they needed the south to overthrow the English. and they further needed them to create a strong nation to be able to keep England from trying to retake america. the civil war was started because the northern states were weak and needed the money from the south. when the southern states saw the incompatiability between the the northern states and the southern states they left as they had the right to, and president buchanan agreed and so signed agreements with the southern states to that effect and what land belonged to which side. that was the peaceful begining of the Confederate states of america. Lincoln was elected to office and refused to honor an agreement between two counties , usa csa. fort sumpter was to be evacuated and handed to the csa. Lincoln violated a treaty between the countries and we had a war. Lincoln violated the constitution. so the mistreatments of the blacks can be attributed to Lincoln. the south knew that they were going to have to free the slaves eventullly, but they would have had to. because they knew that uprisings were happening and they could not keep it down. so about 20 years down the line or earlier thay would have to free them. I believe that they would have been able to become equal or near equal with the land owners and would eventually be near equal. the south had black slave owners at the time of pre cival war, but you do not hear of this. history has many strange things that are kept quiet.

    Without having the camera on you or anyone in your group (that you didn’t emphasize in your discourse), I’m not convinced of what the young man or his representative did or didn’t see when they saw you and your group.
    Based on the dialogue that you recorded, I’m baffled at all that you interpreted. Without knowing the layout, I’m assuming you were on the wall of the Multicultural Center. What was the reason, besides ‘I can be anywhere I damn well please’, you and your group were right there? What was wrong with across the street or opposite the triad? It looks like you were trying to hide from obvious view. Based on your expose’, you obviously don’t believe in such philosophy.
    This video is a prime example of corporate controlled one-sided media. Edited and spliced to try and make someone else look fanatical, when we really don’t know the entire interchange that took place. I do accept the explanation from the college about the status of the people involved. They too are expressing their constitutional rights.
    While the Constitution has many flaws and shortcomings, particularly for women and non-whites, it is the best document we have access to that has the hope of becoming fair and just for us all in this wonderful melting pot we call the United States of America.

    You would have had much better success if you had of at least known a lot of the constitution but better still you could have explained to him that it gives him the protections he is talking about . I was a strategic marketer for 30 yrs .You could also point out that it was a republican who eventually freed the slaves and that democrats were the slave party .Good luck vote Ron Paul FOR THE FREE WORLD .

    OMG! This fellow says he’ll invoke his “Second Amendment Rights” then he disavows the Document wherein this “Right” is given to him!
    I recall another episode of Doublethink (holding two diametrically opposing views, simultaneously, supporting one and utterly disavowing the other as your personal best interests dictate) during the Rodney King Trial. A particular Black activist was outraged that the LA Chief of Police put more men on the street when the Verdict was about to come down. He bellowed “What do you think we are, animals?” The same activist responding to the riots that followed the Acquittal was quoted as saying “Well, what did you expect?” Makes one think of the fellow who murdered his parents then asked for mercy because he was an orphan.

    A typical 10 ft tall and bullet proof black panther trying to turn something innocent into racial violence. They always resort to violence and intimidation, have him arrested for his comments and threats of first degree murder. A few years in prison will cool off his attitude. Either that or let the local boys take him out back and give him an attitude adjustment. Let him crawl through a barbed wire covered slime pit, while firing live rounds over his head, that exercise generally humbles any tough guy attitude. Its one you never forget either.

    First, the U.S. Constitution did not give or create anybody’s so called rights. It created an alleged limited government that by its’ very nature, if followed, would create a space for the greatest degree of individual freedom. No document (piece of paper) can give anyone any rights period. A “right” by definition is a “well founded claim.”

    Only the private individual can claim a right and it does not matter what color their skin or what religious beliefs they may entertain. And, since I am clearing up all the above misconceptions I might as well state just what the “Law” is and is not.

    What a congress does is made rules. That is right, they make rules and administrators promulgate regulations to implement those rules. No congress, state or federal, has the power or authority to make Law. The people and only the people do. They can do it collectively as in a jury, or they can exercise their authority individually as in traveling from place to place on the “right of ways,” or purchasing goods and services from others. That’s enough to chew on for now.

The second is that kids like this, who are ignorant of our Constitution and the way our country was founded, can vote!     Actually, if he is excercising his 2nd Amendment rights (which is to keep and bear arms) then I would have congratulated him. We should alway excercise them. If we all did, it would be must easier to defend ourselves. But since you are on campus, most if not all college campuses are not gun-friendly so I doubt him excersizing those rights would go over well with the campus police.
