Sticker Shock—The Taxing of America

April 14, 2010 by

Sticker Shock—The Taxing of America

We are being taxed into oblivion. No, income taxes have not risen for most of us, at least not yet. Yet slowly and surely the tax vice is closing in. It is all part and parcel of President Obama’s run and gun break towards socialism.

Of course you won’t find newsmakers in agreement with your humble reporter, at least not within the editorial page of The Wall Street Journal or on the front page of The New York Times. Not because they are corrupt or leftists. Rather because Obama has done too good a job in obscuring the truth about the American economy and his own ambitions.

Take the energy situation. No sooner had the White House won modest acclaim for offshore drilling than they did an about-face and announced their intention to tighten their grip on one of the few remaining bastions of freedom—the open road.

This month the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) set new regulations covering vehicle efficiency. The new rule requires that United States cars and light trucks meet an average fuel-economy standard of 35.5 miles per gallon by 2016.

Dying To Be Green
Administration officials say manufacturers can meet the targets mostly with existing technology and without drastically altering consumers’ choices of vehicles.

There is just one catch; to meet the EPA’s new standard average, new-vehicle prices will rise by an additional $1,100 between now and 2016. It is just further evidence that going green is neither cheap nor easy. In fact it turns out to be a killer.

A report produced last summer by the Obama administration’s own National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) underscored that while clap-trap cars get better gas mileage, occupants are more likely to die in accidents. The fatality rate in small cars is twice that of larger cars. By NHTSA’s cold calculations an additional 493 Americans will die each year. It seems that the big wigs in Washington can live with this since everything from the presidential limousine to cabinet staff cars are going to remain big and, oh yes, gasoline powered. It’s a policy of: “Save a tree, kill a driver.”

The EPA’s mandate is fraught with other problems. Detroit is hanging on by the skin of its teeth in large part thanks to the billions of dollars in federal bailouts ($50 billion to General Motors alone). Despite all that help, membership in the United Auto Workers Union (UAW) has hit a post-World War II low. Last week it was reported that UAW had 355,191 members at the end of 2009. That was down 18 percent from the year before and leaves the union with less than a quarter of the membership it had in 1979.

You would think with the recession still ongoing America could ill afford to make cars more expensive. Then again, the Federal government probably has contingency plans for another stimulus package, one that will give Washington even a greater say over the economy.

Stall Baby Stall
Another industry not yet out of the woods is petroleum. Obama’s offshore oil drilling proposal has not spurred North American oilmen to roll out the oil rigs. Executives in the industry I have talked to are sceptical of a plan that is rife with challenges and chockfull of regulatory hoops.

Consider the Atlantic Coast. A previously planned lease sale off the Virginia coast will go forward, but not until 2012 and only then if it passes review under the National Environmental Policy Act. Furthermore, public meetings will be held on all affected coastal areas this summer to set up Environmental Impact Studies. They will take at least a year. If that goes well then there will be a three month public comment period. Then more analyses and finally—yes finally—an impact statement sent to the Secretary of the Interior. And if the Greens don’t like what the secretary has to say they can go to court. As you can see, the red tape is certain to stretch further than the wells themselves.

Meanwhile, drilling along the ripe west coast and the plum parts of Alaska—regions that Congress approved in 2008—are now off limits.

If you think that petroleum’s importance will soon be diminished by Obama’s Green Revolution, a story out of Texas should give you pause.

According to the April 5 issue of Texas Watchdog, “If the people of Bedford, Texas, are still borrowing whatever they are calling books in 72 years, they may find themselves in the public library on the very day the energy saved by the library’s planned solar power system finally equals the cost to build it.”

I don’t know about you, but I will only be 124 when solar power like that at the Bedford Library starts paying dividends. Things are even better for Austin Community College. The college, with the help of Federal stimulus dollars, can equip two of its campuses with solar energy. The savings commence in 2062!

So far 32 projects in Texas have been given stimulus dollars by the State Energy Conservation Office. They are 80 percent paid for by taxpayers. Texas alone has locked in $290 million Federal tax dollars for green energy programs via the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

So far the Federal government has set aside $17 billion for the Department of Energy to waste money on things like solar power in Texas. Instead of lending money for things that might pay off during the next ice age the government should be selling offshore oil leases.

Rising Interest Rates Will Tax Everyone
Unfortunately we have bigger immediate problems than Washington’s lamebrain economic policies. The yield on 10-year Treasuries has just climbed above 4 percent. That is the highest rate in nearly a year. Rising Treasury yields portend to rising interest rates across the board. Rates will continue to climb as Treasury auctions are met with dwindling bids by investors near and far.

Little wonder the U.S. dollar continues to weaken (the Canadian Loonie is now trading above par) and the flood of new Treasury debt continues to swell. Last week alone the Treasury sold $82 billion (yes billion) in notes and bonds. At that pace the Treasury will add another $4 trillion to America’s already staggering $12.8 trillion debt by next spring.

The Democrats mismanagement of the economy on everything from industry to energy is certain to push interest rates higher—much, much higher.

Action To Take: Sell all debt instruments such as bonds and anything longer than a three-month Treasury bill. Use the funds to buy physical gold in the form of non-numismatic 1-ounce coins. Also, if you have to carry debt, say for a mortgage, lock in your interest rate. It is essential you rid you and your family of any variable interest rate loans.

Yours for real wealth and good health,

It Really Doesn’t Mater At This Point Who’s To Blame! This Country Needs A Major Over Haul! We Need To Get Back To A God Fearing Nation! It’s Going To Hell In A Hand Bag Real Quick! It’s Ending Soon If Things Don’t Change! Mark My Words!

  • Raggs

Since the DNC wishes to give illegals amnesty to vote wouldn’t it be funny if we voted an illegal into office to replace the dumbocraps.
Of course it will need to be one that cannot speak english and is in the drug cartel..

    • JLC

Don’t laugh too hard, Raggs! If a widespread belief is correct, we
ALREADY HAVE an illegal in office. He has yet to produce a genuine birth certificate. I don’t have one either, as far as thet goes (They didn’t issue them on the reseervation, when I was born) but I’m not president, either. My Army discharge says that I am an American citizen and that was good enough for the State Department when I was issued a passport back in the 1960′s. But, speaking of discharges, Fearless Leader doesn’t have one of those, either.

BigBadJohn: I had already seen that, but THANKS! anyhow for the link.
Perhaps I should have bold-faced the “If” in my post. Unless indisputable proof is submitted, there will always be doubt. Personally, I don’t see that place of birth is important, or whether or not the person in question “natural born” or naturalized, but natural born is what the Constitution demands and the CONSTITUTION is what Mr. Obama swore to Preserve, Protect, and Defend!

I don’t care whether he’s legal or not, something is seriously wrong when you cannot find any history for the man at all. Who paid to hide all this? Who paid for his Harvard education? Where was his first real jobs and how did both of them get to be rich so fast?

Ever since he ran for the Senate in 2004, Barack Obama has had a wealth of 10-figure tycoons advising–and funding–him.
Obama’s national finance chairwoman during his presidential campaign was Penny Pritzker, one of 11 members of the famous Chicago family that appear on the Forbes list of the 400 richest Americans (combined net worth as of September: $21.6 billion).

As of Nov. 24, 2008, Obama’s campaign had raised a record-breaking $742 million during the election, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Pritzker was considered a leading candidate for commerce secretary until she withdrew from consideration in November last year.

I think his biggest problem of all is he hates america and really he knows he is destroying us that was his plan.

          • JeffH

kbab777, that is true. There are many reasons and his years in Rev. Wright’s church only added fuel to his fire. He belives in those words “G–D–n America”.

      • JeffH

I don’t think Obama will make a bid for a second term. He’ll have to prove his citizenship to do so.

        • Doc Sarvis

He’s been there – done that.

          • JeffH

            It’s the law!

          • Doc Sarvis

I’m saying it will not be a problem as he has already proven beyond any doubt that he is an American citizen.

          • JeffH

And I’m saying he will have to prove it once again anyway! I really don’t believe he’ll run for a second term. Just my opinion.

          • JeffH

Just an FYI, it isn’t an issue with me.

So, he has accomplised his mission……Can anyone say destruction?

Doc No-Nothing, He is definitely not an American citizen.

    • eyeswideopen

Raggs. do you have insider information on the immigration agenda? Show me where the dems want to give them voting rights immediately. Come on, show us.

      • zack

Show me or I will clapp my hands, shake my booty, and fart my ass off:

    • Meteorlady

Actually even with amnesty they “generally” cannot vote in any election that required US citizenship. From Green Card to citizenship is a five year wait or three years if you are married to a US citizen.

Since this is brought up you need to be aware that HR 4321 is in congress, you need to read the following:

      http://www.cis.org/
      http://www.theamericanresistance.com/issues/amnesty.html
      http://www.projo.com/news/content/GUTIERREZ_IMMIGRATION_12-23-09_ULGR8LD_v13.38abeb7.html

And yes, the Democrats will gain from amnesty because the legal Latino population will vote for them if they get this passed. Business will also love it – they get cheap labor and we get screwed with higher taxes to support he social programs they will get, higher SS and Medicare to support their retirement, and a further lowering of our wage base. WRITE YOUR REPRESENTATIVES to protest this bill – we cannot afford another amnesty nor can we keep on with the anchor babies.

Tom it is refreshing to see some body that actually understands what is going on with our goverment, this is not a republican or democrat issue, the nasty squabbling that goes on here amazes me!I rarely reply to this post because of the rude comments made back at each other. I am a firm believer in the power of the “VOTE” I vote independent, & for all parties that i believe that they can make a difference, I once mentioned 911 & the WTC tower # 7 implosion & challengend any one on this site to explain how it could have fallen down with out being imploded. the only responce was, that I was nuts, a conspiracy theory crazy person, I implied that our goverment allowed for the towers to be imploded, if not directly involved the actual act, so the Patriot Act could be passed & this false war on terror could be taken to the next level. As a long time reader of the now defucnt “The Spotlight” & “American Free Press” I am well aware of the fact it does not matter who is the president, or what party has control of Congress & the Senate, The corruption runs much deeper than the average citizen can imagine or are willing to investigate the truth for themselves. Chenney & the cabal mentioned in your post above was much more involved than Bush Jr himself. In order to win, the lazy 40% plus eligble voters, that have never voted or cared to vote, and the rest of the voters in this country, need to study what is going on around them & go vote with a educated decision, not just straight party lines, or voting for what the propaganda machine / media tells them to vote for.

  • Markus

    Tom,
Your insight is stunning yet not surprising. The ABSOLUTE corruption at all levels of government is beyond comprehension. With the media “feeding us cheesecake”, the brain-dead public is doomed. I agree a fleecing of the WHOLE SYSTEM IS NEEDED, but who is it going to be. We need a man that has integrity, not afraid to tell us the bad news, honest, humble, God-fearing, and most of all ONE OF US. I think we have that man in GLENN BECK!! If people watched him on a daily basis, they would see that he is the real deal. We need to think OUT OF THE BOX, because what we have been doing so far has NOT WORKED!!! It is refreshing to see someone tell it like it is, I just wish it was sooner. America, don’t listen to what the government media complex tells you, look for yourself. In my humble opinion, that is the man for the job. If anyone has someone better, let us know. WE NEED A MIRACLE, AND WE NEED GOD TO PROVIDE ONE FOR US OR IT IS OVER. Please wake up people before it is too late….
P.S. Kate8, you are not kidding about the brown shirts at the door, only that they will be dressing in BLACK…

  • kate8

BTW, I don’t care if people make money in their chosen careers. It’s when they sell their souls…

I suppose no one can blame a person for doing what they have to in order to protect their lives and families. We have devolved to the point as a people where we put ourselves first. There was a time when priorities were different: God, country, family. Now, this is reversed, if God and country figure in at all.

We bring shame to the memories of our founders, many of whom sacrificed everything to give us something we seem to value so little.

No wonder we are going under.

  • Che King

You rejected Republicans are paranoid and delusional…. It must be horrible to live your life like your a victim….I don’t think the place you’re looking for can be found…

    • Meteorlady

Thanks for the intelligent and well thought out response. Is that it? Is there any intelligence at all in you head? Are you an immigrant from a communist/Marxist country? I cannot believe that you can only attack – you must be very angry about your lot in life. Are we supporting you?

    • Isaebel

Hmmmmmm…. you might want to head over to Yahoo news or YouTube with your comments. They are more age appropriate on those sites and they are just as up on name calling as you obviously are.

    • JeffH

      Ernesto ‘Che King’ Guevara

Paranoid and delusional? Hmmm, sound like a common talking point by a radical socialist rebel that is used when they’ve “been made” or exposed. Do you spend a lot of time looking over your shoulder or in your rear view mirror? (if you are even old enough to drive )

  • Tom

Well it could be that Obama is trying to close the gap between federal tax receipts and what they are actually spending.

Do NOT get sidetracked by the Obama show. A knee jerk reaction to the Obama Administration this year will prove disastrous if voters fall into the trap of thinking the Republicans will save us. They won’t.

We need to break the grip BOTH parties have on power. They have gotten way too out of control. The problems our government is causing behind the scenes around the world, is treasonous.

BOTH parties need to go, and I’ll post something to show why.
If any of you are thinking of supporting GOP candidates this fall, consider this:

FBI Whistleblower Sibel Edmonds: Members of U.S. Congress ‘Bribed, Blackmailed’

Take a close look who owns and controls the media in the US and you know why “not a single major mainstream media outlet in the U.S. has picked up on Edmonds’ startling claims since her deposition has been made fully available.”

What Sibel Edmonds has to say really is a matter of NATIONAL SECURITY.

Breaking Down the Under-Oath Disclosures of the Formerly-Gagged Sibel Edmonds…

It has now been over a week since the video tape and transcript from the remarkable 8/8/09 deposition of former FBI translator-turned-whistleblower Sibel Edmonds was publicly released. Previously, the Bush Administration invoked the so-called “state secrets privilege” in order to gag Edmonds, in attempting to keep such information from becoming public.

The under-oath, detailed allegations include bribery, blackmail, espionage and infiltration of the U.S. government of, and by current and former members of the U.S. Congress, high-ranking State and Defense Department officials and agents of the government of Turkey. The broad criminal conspiracy is said to have resulted in, among other things, the sale of nuclear weapons technology to black market interests including Pakistan, Iran, North Korea, Libya and others.

Even as many of these allegations had been previously corroborated to varying extents, by a number of official government reports, documents and independent media outlets (largely overseas), not a single major mainstream media outlet in the U.S. has picked up on Edmonds’ startling claims since her deposition has been made fully available.

Granted, last week was a busy news week, with the death of Ted Kennedy, the release of the CIA Inspector General’s report on torture, and the announcement that Michael Jackson’s death was ruled a homicide. And, it’s true, a 4-hour deposition and/or 241-page transcript [PDF] is a lot of material to review, particularly given the wide scope of the charges being made here. Still, given the serious national security issues at stake, said to have the been among the most important matters of the past 8 years, one would think someone in the corporate MSM might have taken the time to go through the material, and report on it. Particularly as Edmonds’ claims have previously been found “credible” “serious” and “warrant[ing] a thorough and careful review,” by the DoJ Inspector General, and confirmed as such, on several occasions, by Senators Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Patrick Leahy (D-VT) and many many others.

So for the benefit of the U.S. media, and other readers, who may find it helpful for this large body of newly-available information to be culled down into more digestible pieces, I will attempt to break down the deposition, a bit, into some of its subject matter-based component parts. I will try to go through the major disclosures from the deposition, one-by-one, in a series of pieces which might help others to further report and/or investigate these breathtaking disclosures from a former FBI official who, following 9/11, listened to and translated wiretap recordings made from 1996 through 2002, in the FBI’s counterintelligence and counterterrorism departments, under top-secret clearance.

In this first break-down article, we’ll look at the answers given by Edmonds during her deposition in regard to bribery and blackmail of current and former members of the U.S. Congress, including Dennis Hastert (R-IL), Bob Livingston (R-LA), Dan Burton (R-IN), Roy Blunt (R-MO), Stephen Solarz (D-NY), Tom Lantos (D-CA, deceased) and an unnamed, currently-serving, married Democratic Congresswoman said to have been video-taped in a Lesbian affair by Turkish agents for blackmail purposes.

In further breakdown articles, we’ll look at her disclosures concerning top State and Defense Department officials including Douglas Feith, Paul Wolfowitz and, perhaps most notably, the former Deputy Undersecretary of State, Marc Grossman, the third-highest ranking official in the State Department. Also, details on the theft of nuclear weapons technology; disclosures on Valerie Plame Wilson’s CIA front company Brewster-Jennings; items related to U.S. knowledge of 9/11 and al-Qaeda prior to September 11, 2001; infiltration of the FBI translation department and more.

Though Edmonds was careful to not “discuss the intelligence gathering method by the FBI,” she notes in her deposition that her claims are “Based on documented and provable, tracked files and based on…100 percent, documented facts.”

Among the specific charges she levels against current and former U.S. Congress Members in the deposition:

Dennis Hastert: “[S]everal categories. The acceptance of large sums of bribery in forms of cash or laundered cash … to make it look legal for his campaigns, and also for his personal use, in order to do certain favors … make certain things happen for foreign entities and foreign governments’ interests, Turkish government’s interest and Turkish business entities’ interests. … other activities, too, including being blackmailed for various reasons. … he used the townhouse that was not his residence for certain not very morally accepted activities. … foreign entities knew about this, in fact, they sometimes participated in some of those not maybe morally well activities in that particular townhouse that was supposed to be an office, not a house, residence at certain hours, certain days, evenings of the week.”Stephen Solarz: “[A]s lobbyist … acted as conduit to deliver or launder contribution and other briberies to certain members of Congress, but also in pressuring outside Congress, and including blackmail, in certain members of Congress.”

{NOT THE SAME BOB LIVINGSTON WE ALL KNOW AND LOVE} Bob Livingston: “Until 1999 … not very legal activities on behalf of foreign interests and entities, and after 1999 acting as a conduit to, again, further foreign interests, both overtly and covertly as a lobbyist, but also as an operative.”

Tom Lantos: “[N]ot only … bribe[ry], but also … disclosing highest level protected U.S. intelligence and weapons technology information both to Israel and to Turkey. … other very serious criminal conduct.”

Unnamed Congresswoman: (Though not identified as such during the deposition, Edmonds has since confirmed her to be a Democrat) “[T]his Congresswoman’s married with children, grown children, but she is bisexual. … So they have sent Turkish female agents, and that Turkish female agents work for Turkish government, and have sexual relationship with this Congresswoman in her townhouse … and the entire episodes of their sexual conduct was being filmed because the entire house, this Congressional woman’s house was bugged. … to be used for certain things that they wanted to request … I don’t know if she did anything illegal afterward. … the Turkish entities, wanted both congressional related favoritism from her, but also her husband was in a high position in the area in the state she was elected from, and these Turkish entities ran certain illegal operations, and they wanted her husband’s help. But I don’t know if she provided them with those.”

Roy Blunt: “[T]he recipient of both legally and illegally raised donations, campaign donations from …Turkish entities.”

Dan Burton: (And others) “[E]xtremely illegal activities against the United States citizens who were involved in [covert] operations that were … against … foreign government[s] and foreign entities against the United States’ interests.”

Hastert, Livingston and Solarz, as Edmonds notes in her deposition, would all go on to become highly-paid lobbyist for Turkey and/or Turkish public interest groups after they left the U.S. Congress.

Some people worship theories. Some put their faith in facts. Some people never understand the difference between the two. Some of us know the difference between roses and manure. Some think
roses and manure are the same.
Most people get smarter as they get older. Some get dumber – and wind up in Washington. Because I’ve seen more than my fair share of presidents and prezzes come and go, I know that when a government
gets bigger and bigger (and demands more taxes), that government is incompetent BY CHOICE, and I know that it relies on stupid citizens to abet its greed and incompetence.
JFK seemed like he had potential, but he didn’t last long enough for me to apply my normal rules. However, to his credit he dared to LOWER TAXES. It HELPED the economy GROW.
This temporary glitch on the radar screen – King Obummer – isn’t fit to be compared with JFK. King Obummer is a theoretician. He is a lover of ‘constitutional law’ (he HATES the Constitution).
As this administration continues to DEVOLVE, more and more people will be forced to admit that Obummer’s presence in the White House was a terrible mistake. Touchy-feely has no place in politics. Good intentions are dangerous. Right is right, and wrong will always be wrong.
JFK did some good. Obummer is a loser’s loser. JFK’s record made a difference. Obummer’s record will definitely be ‘one for the books,’ but it will also prove that freedom comes with a price. JFK paid the price. Obummer has no plans for doing the right thing, let alone honoring his oath.
Thanks for tryng, JFK. Obummer, get the hell out of my country – and NEVER come back.

Their has been a huge taxing of America…. Except it took place during the 8 years George W. Bush was in office… It was a massive transfer of wealth from the middle class to the very rich….the bailouts that we were told was nessessary started during Bushs administration…. The rightwing wants to make President the villian but it’s actually the rightwing that bankrupt America…. Think about it… More than 2 trillion wasted on Iraq with no benifits for America at all and a depleation of our resources , the deaths of 6000 Americans in Iraq , 40,000 wounded and Americas image drug through the mud…. We bomb Iraq , totally destroying Iraq and now were paying to rebuild it… The author of this artical has a lot of nerve complaining about president Obama raising taxes… You can’t waste money and resources like the republicans did and not tax… Somehow we gave to repair our infrastructure and military after years of rightwing abuse… It’s like the republicans spilling a gallon of milk then having the gall to complain on the way it’s cleaned up…now, President Obama has given us healthcare at a cost of 940 billion… Here’s the diffrence.. At least president Obama is giving America something in return for the 940 billion… What did the republicans give America for more than the almost 3 trillion wasted on Iraq?…were no safer, Alvqaedas still in Iraq and iraqs population still hates us…. I’ll take president Obamas agenda anyday over the tax cuts to the rich that the republicans and conservatives always shove down our throats…

What has gone on in our government is just sick. The American public is the very last to know anything. Selling Nuclear technology to Iran, North Korea, ect? I don’t want to hear any nonsense of how the Bush Administration kept us “Safe.” If the American public had any grasp what so ever of the deep level of involvement our intelligence services have with international criminals, and our use of proxys to engage in covert warfare around the world, all of Washington would be thrown out of office.

Bombshell: Bin Laden worked for US till 9/11
Former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds dropped a bombshell on the Mike Malloy radio show, guest-hosted by Brad Friedman (audio, partial transcript).
    http://lukery.blogspot.com/2009/07/bomb … -till.html

In the interview, Sibel says that the US maintained ‘intimate relations’ with Bin Laden, and the Taliban, “all the way until that day of September 11.”

These ‘intimate relations’ included using Bin Laden for ‘operations’ in Central Asia, including Xinjiang, China. These ‘operations’ involved using al Qaeda and the Taliban in the same manner “as we did during the Afghan and Soviet conflict,” that is, fighting ‘enemies’ via proxies.

As Sibel has previously described, and as she reiterates in this latest interview, this process involved using Turkey (with assistance from ‘actors from Pakistan, and Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia’) as a proxy, which in turn used Bin Laden and the Taliban and others as a proxy terrorist army.

    Control of Central Asia
The goals of the American ‘statesmen’ directing these activities included control of Central Asia’s vast energy supplies and new markets for military products.

The Americans had a problem, though. They needed to keep their fingerprints off these operations to avoid a) popular revolt in Central Asia ( Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan), and b) serious repercussions from China and Russia. They found an ingenious solution: Use their puppet-state Turkey as a proxy, and appeal to both pan-Turkic and pan-Islam sensibilities.

Turkey, a NATO ally, has a lot more credibility in the region than the US and, with the history of the Ottoman Empire, could appeal to pan-Turkic dreams of a wider sphere of influence. The majority of the Central Asian population shares the same heritage, language and religion as the Turks.

In turn, the Turks used the Taliban and al Qaeda, appealing to their dreams of a pan-Islamic caliphate (Presumably. Or maybe the Turks/US just paid very well.)

    According to Sibel:

This started more than a decade-long illegal, covert operation in Central Asia by a small group in the US intent on furthering the oil industry and the Military Industrial Complex, using Turkish operatives, Saudi partners and Pakistani allies, furthering this objective in the name of Islam.

    Uighurs
Sibel was recently asked to write about the recent situation with the Uighurs in Xinjiang, but she declined, apart from saying that “our fingerprint is all over it.”

Of course, Sibel isn’t the first or only person to recognize any of this. Eric Margolis, one of the best reporters in the West on matters of Central Asia, stated that the Uighurs in the training camps in Afghanistan up to 2001:

“were being trained by Bin Laden to go and fight the communist Chinese in Xinjiang, and this was not only with the knowledge, but with the support of the CIA, because they thought they might use them if war ever broke out with China.”

    And also that:

“Afghanistan was not a hotbed of terrorism, these were commando groups, guerrilla groups, being trained for specific purposes in Central Asia.”

In a separate interview, Margolis said:

“That illustrates Henry Kissinger’s bon mot that the only thing more dangerous than being America’s enemy is being an ally, because these people were paid by the CIA, they were armed by the US, these Chinese Muslims from Xinjiang, the most-Western province.

The CIA was going to use them in the event of a war with China, or just to raise hell there, and they were trained and supported out of Afghanistan, some of them with Osama Bin Laden’s collaboration. The Americans were up to their ears with this.”

    Rogues Gallery
Last year, Sibel came up with a brilliant idea to expose some of the criminal activity that she is forbidden to speak about: she published eighteen photos, titled “Sibel Edmonds’ State Secrets Privilege Gallery,” of people involved the operations that she has been trying to expose. One of those people is Anwar Yusuf Turani, the so-called ‘President-in-exile’ of East Turkistan (Xinjiang). This so-called ‘government-in-exile’ was ‘established’ on Capitol Hill in September, 2004, drawing a sharp rebuke from China.

Also featured in Sibel’s Rogues Gallery was ‘former’ spook Graham Fuller, who was instrumental in the establishment of Turani’s ‘government-in-exile’ of East Turkistan. Fuller has written extensively on Xinjiang, and his “Xinjiang Project” for Rand Corp is apparently the blueprint for Turani’s government-in-exile. Sibel has openly stated her contempt for Mr. Fuller.

    Susurluk
The Turkish establishment has a long history of mingling matters of state with terrorism, drug trafficking and other criminal activity, best exemplified by the 1996 Susurluk incident which exposed the so-called Deep State.

Sibel states that “a few main Susurluk actors also ended up in Chicago where they centered ‘certain’ aspects of their operations (Especially East Turkistan-Uighurs).”

One of the main Deep State actors, Mehmet Eymur, former Chief of Counter-Terrorism for Turkey’s intelligence agency, the MIT, features in Sibel’s Rogues Gallery. Eymur was given exile in the US. Another member of Sibel’s gallery, Marc Grossman was Ambassador to Turkey at the time that the Susurluk incident exposed the Deep State. He was recalled shortly after, prior to the end of his assignment, as was Grossman’s underling, Major Douglas Dickerson, who later tried to recruit Sibel into the spying ring.

The modus operandi of the Susurluk gang is the same as the activities that Sibel describes as taking place in Central Asia, the only difference is that this activity was exposed in Turkey a decade ago, whereas the organs of the state in the US, including the corporate media, have successfully suppressed this story.

    Chechnya, Albania & Kosovo
Central Asia is not the only place where American foreign policy makers have shared interests with Bin Laden. Consider the war in Chechnya. As I documented here, Richard Perle and Stephen Solarz (both in Sibel’s gallery) joined other leading neocon luminaries such as Elliott Abrams, Kenneth Adelman, Frank Gaffney, Michael Ledeen, James Woolsey, and Morton Abramowitz in a group called the American Committee for Peace in Chechnya (ACPC). For his part, Bin Laden donated $25 million to the cause, as well as numerous fighters, and technical expertise, establishing training camps.

US interests also converged with those of al-Qaeda in Kosovo and Albania.

Of course, it is not uncommon for circumstances to arise where ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend.’ On the other hand, in a transparent democracy, we expect a full accounting of the circumstances leading up to a tragic event like 9/11. The 9/11 Commission was supposed to provide exactly that.

    State Secrets
Sibel has famously been dubbed the most gagged woman in America, having the State Secrets Privilege imposed on her twice. Her 3.5 hour testimony to the 9/11 Commission has been entirely suppressed, reduced to a single footnote which refers readers to her classified testimony.

In the interview, she says that the information that was classified in her case specifically identifies that the US was using Bin Laden and the Taliban in Central Asia, including Xinjiang. In the interview, Sibel reiterates that when invoking the gag orders, the US government claims that it is protecting ” ‘sensitive diplomatic relations,’ protecting Turkey, protecting Israel, protecting Pakistan, protecting Saudi Arabia…” This is no doubt partially true, but it is also true that they are protecting themselves too, and it is a crime in the US to use classification and secrecy to cover up crimes.

As Sibel says in the interview:

I have information about things that our government has lied to us about… those things can be proven as lies, very easily, based on the information they classified in my case, because we did carry very intimate relationship with these people, and it involves Central Asia, all the way up to September 11.

    Summary
The bombshell here is obviously that certain people in the US were using Bin Laden up to September 11, 2001.

It is important to understand why: the US outsourced terror operations to al Qaeda and the Taliban for many years, promoting the Islamization of Central Asia in an attempt to personally profit off military sales as well as oil and gas concessions.

The silence by the US government on these matters is deafening. So, too, is the blowback.

The Arabs are not the enemy here.

Beber, you do know that Afghanistan is not an Arab country don’t you??

  • American liberal

Typo… ” Al qaeda” is still in Iraq…and they weren’t there until Bush invaded Iraq….. Republicans/ conservative policy is always a tax on the middle class….and a tax cut for the rich….that’s always their policy..

  • Meteorlady

So we have money that is worth about 1/3 less than when he took office. We have a quiet debate going on about a VAT tax (that’s a national sales tax that everyone will pay), we are on the verge of run-away inflation, interest rates are creeping, states are raising taxes in order to be able to fund federally mandates programs, welfare roles are increasing, Americans are out of work and some have exhausted their benefits and we are looking at higher and higher energy costs. If you think that’s just ducky I have some beach front property in Arizona I want to sell you.

American liberal you are so damn stupid. How do you wipe your own rear end. Or do you even have one?
You need to do a lot of research before you open your trap.

I understand that gold has always held its value because it has been highly valued throughout civilizations of the world. Even if I could afford to by any gold at all, and if the dollar collapses and the world monies go crazy, and America’s debt holders demand immediate payment, where does that put the little guy? Only those who hold appreciable amounts of gold will have any chance of surviving the apparent financial global collapse of national economies.

No I am not a financial expert or economist; thats easy to see. But I do see that the coming upheaval is going to destroy our free market captialism unless the people take back government in November. Only a fool would think that we can spend ourselves back into prosperity. We are bankrupt and no one will admit it. If America is to survive this crisis, there are 2 vital things that are important. First and foremost, if we continue to leave Almighty God out of the answer to our crisis, there is absolutely nothing that can rescue this nation. All the gold in the world won’t save us. Only fools would dare think that we don’t need God. Secondly, we must return, and quickly to being a Constitutional Republic — a nation of laws that will be obeyed by all the people; a nation that revers and obeys God’s eternal Word. The rampant corruption of ethical and moral values in America is showing their fruits in America’s dilema, and without Him there is no redemption for this nation.

If you have money to buy gold, BUY IT! But gold can be consficated just like any other material goods. Government that is dictatorial in nature like we now have won’t let gold deter them — if they want it they will take it! Our security is in returning to the Benevolent God who has blessed this nation in the past, and hopefully will do so again, only if we turn to him in full repentance for our sins, national and personal. But so many Americans reject that proposition. Everything else apart from turning to God has been tried, and everything has or is failing. WAKE UP AMURICA — IT IS ALMOST TOO LATE!!

  • JC

Indeed. You’ve obviously read the book “Blowback”.

US aviation received 52 al-Qaeda warnings before 9/11
    By Jenny Booth, Times Online
    original

America’s aviation authority received numerous warnings about al-Qaeda attacks in the six months before 9/11, including five that mentioned hijackings and two that mentioned suicide operations, it has emerged.
A previously published report by the commission set up to investigate the September 11 attacks on the United States reveals that the US Federal Aviation Authority received 52 intelligence reports on al-Qaeda between April and September 2001.

The 911 Commission report criticises the FAA for failing to strengthen security measures in light of the reports, and accuses it of allowing a false sense of security to prevail.

The aviation industry was more concerned with hijacking threats overseas and did not appear to give serious credit to the idea of hijackings at home, the report added.

“The fact that the civil aviation system seems to have been lulled into a false sense of security is striking not only because of what happened on 9/11 but also in light of the intelligence assessments, including those conducted by the FAA’s own security branch, that raised alarms about the growing terrorist threat to civil aviation,” the report said.

The striking findings of the staff report, dated August 2004, emerged after an investigation by The New York Times.

The full version of the report was blocked from public release by the White House for more than five months. A declassified and heavily edited version was filed in the National Archives two weeks ago.

So many reports on Osama bin Laden or his al-Qaeda terrorist network were received by the FAA in the months before 9/11, that between March and May it conducted classified briefings on the al-Qaeda threat for security officials at 19 of the busiest airports in the United States.

The report said that the 52 warnings on al-Qaeda sent to the FAA in that period amounted to half of all the intelligence reports it received.

The FAA did issue an alert to airports and airlines in early 2001, in the form of a CD-ROM, which mentioned the possibility that terrorists might conduct suicide hijackings.

But it said that a domestic hijacking would be difficult, and “fortunately we have no indication that any group is currently thinking in that direction.”

The CD-ROM briefings said: “We don’t rule it out … If however, the intent of the hijacker is not to exchange hostages for prisoners, but to commit suicide in a spectacular explosion, a domestic hijacking would probably be preferable.”

The 9/11 panel said that this showed that the FAA had indeed considered the possibility that terrorists would hijack a plane and use it as a weapon, but had failed to direct adequate resources or attention to the problem.

“Throughout 2001, the senior leadership of the FAA was focused on congestion and delays within the system and the ever-present issue of safety, but they were not as focused on security,” the report said.

FAA spokeswoman Laura Brown defended the authority, saying that the warnings were not specific enough to prevent the attacks. She said that the FAA did take steps to counter the terrorist threat, such as placing more explosives detection units in airports.

“We had a lot of information about threats,” she said.

“But we didn’t have specific information about means or methods that would have enabled us to tailor any countermeasures.”

Publication of the report has revived suspicions that the Bush administration tried to censor information that pointed to lax security before 9/11.

US Representatives Henry Waxman and Carolyn Maloney have requested House hearings on “whether the administration misused the classification process to withhold, for political reasons, official 9/11 Commission staff findings detailing how federal aviation officials received multiple intelligence reports warning of airline hijackings and suicide attacks before September 11,” and “on the veracity of statements, briefings and testimony by then national security advisor Condoleezza Rice”, they said in a statement.

Tom, thanks for the information about Sibel Edmonds. I’ve always thought that our governments CIA/Blackops have been interfering and manipulating people and governments for many many years now. So secret that it would take knowledgable whisleblowers to step forward and speak, at the risk of their own lives. Where to start? I will start with http://www.justacitizen.com/ Sibel Edmonds website.

    Thanks again, JeffH

The testimony FBI translator Sibel Edmonds needs to be taken seriously.

  • Tom

    No I haven’t

  • Tom

I posted the Sibel Edmonds stuff, only because I am afraid that Americans are getting so caught up in opposing Pres Obama that they will vote back into office some of the very people who have done so much damage to this country. Democrats are not off the hook here either. All of Washington needs to be flushed out, including the intelligence services, because they have gotten dangerously out of control with zero accountability.

Presidents come and go, but the apparatus is still in place, and it could happen again.

    FBI Quotes:

“We have not uncovered… either here in the US or in Afghanistan… any aspect of the Sept. 11 plot.” —FBI Director Robert Mueller

“The FBI has no hard evidence connecting bin Laden to 9/11.” —Chief of Investigative Publicity for the FBI, Rex Tomb

“Osama bin Laden was a US Operative up until Sept. 11.” —FBI translator Sibel Edmonds

Former Italian President Francesco Cossiga, who revealed the existence of Operation Gladio, has told Italy’s oldest and most widely read newspaper that the 9-11 terrorist attacks were run by the CIA and Mossad, and that this was common knowledge among global intelligence agencies. In what translates awkwardly into English, Cossiga told the newspaper Corriere della Sera:

“All the [intelligence services] of America and Europe…know well that the disastrous attack has been planned and realized from the Mossad, with the aid of the Zionist world in order to put under accusation the Arabic countries and in order to induce the western powers to take part … in Iraq [and] Afghanistan.”

Cossiga first expressed his doubts about 9-11 in 2001, and is quoted by 9-11 researcherWebster Tarpley saying “The mastermind of the attack must have been a sophisticated mind, provided with ample means not only to recruit fanatic kamikazes, but also highly specialized personnel. I add one thing: it could not be accomplished without infiltrations in the radar and
    flight security personnel.”

Because of his experience and status in the world, Cossiga cannot be discounted as a crackpot.

Well I am sorry SC, but the Bush years are still very relevant. They caused lasting damage.

I am not a Progressive, I want Obama gone too.

I find your arrogance amusing. Its fascinating to me to see how some people react to news that defies their belief system. The stuff I have been posting is not exclusively an attack on the Bush Administration only. These things went on under president Clinton, and presidents before him also.

I have been consistent in saying all of Washington needs to be flushed out.

The details are not being covered my the mainstream US press, but the details are slowly coming out none the less. Rather than go through life with eyes slammed shut, perhaps it is you who should check his silly putty…

  • Tom

SC, I am absolutely in awe of your thought process.

I am guessing it goes something like this: Sworn testimony under oath by FBI translator Sibel Edmonds stating that the US maintained ‘intimate relations’ with Bin Laden, and the Taliban, “all the way until that day of September 11″, simply do not match my belief system…..
Therefore, it must then, be untrue. I don’t need to read it, I don’t even need to hear about it.

At first glance, I would think it takes monumental arrogance to take that position.

But in reality, I think its a fear driven response.
Its far more frightening to realize our own government carried out the attacks of 911, than a handful of lunatics on the otherside of the world. Its more comforting to think our armed forces are keeping us safe from them.

I am curious, how do you square the Edmonds testimony, or the statement made by former Italian President Francesco Cossiga with what you believe?

Science is the pursuit of truth no matter where it leads. Its a systematic method of discovery and proof. Science simply does not ignore things that it cannot explain.

This topic will never be closed until all questions have been answered.

Gads – BUSH IS GONE! Helloooooooooo…… we can blame everything on him forever but you have to go back a lot further that both Bushes. For one, Clinton sold us down the road with a few goodies that have lasting effects – NAFTA, Free Trade with China, his failure to confront foreign terror after the 1993 Trade Center attack, failure to get our troops out of Somalia, welfare reform that gave less support for poor people, failure to stop the systematic theft from the SS system, a hugh trade deficit of over $400 billion, intervention in foreign currency markets in order to prop up the yen….. He also left Bush Jr. with a budget deficit if you exclude the SS “TRUST FUND” money – http://www.craigsteiner.us/articles/16

I could next start on Bush Sr. and then go back from there to a really great guy – Carter. The point is you can rail all you want about Bush but MOST EVERY politician feathers their own beds – they do not have the best interests of the country ahead of themselves.

    OUR POLITICANS

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution

    From: James Graham

    From: S STEELE
THE HART OF OUR PROBLEMS IS OUR POLITICANS ARE MONEY HUNGRY !!!!

As a widow of a military retiree, who stood with her husband for over 20 years while he served this country (which was the greatest in the world until this Congress and President took over), I have to say I agree. Shirley

As a retired military man that have given over twenty-seven years of my life to my country, I truly feel that what this
Country needs most is a new amendment to the Constitution . I am recommending that we add the 28th amendment to the Constitution of the UNITED STATES.

For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that Congress members could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they didn’t pay into Social Security, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that is being considered…in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn’t seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don’t care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.

This is a good way to do that. It is an idea whose time has come.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution:

“Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Congressman, Senators and Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Congressman. Senators and Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States”.

This 28th amendment to the Constitution of the UNITED STATES Will apply to all passed, present and future
    Congressman, Senators And Representatives.
Just think of all the money this would save the tax payers!!!!!

I think the Senators, Representatives or Congressman that comes out strongly for this will be our next President.

HTCM USN Retired James A. Graham E-Mail address is ( jagraham@charter.net ) Please forward !!!!!!!

If you can’t buy gold, buy silver. Then buy food that will last 5 years or more. While I’m not a Mormon, they have some good ideas about food supplies and storing it. Also buy things that you can barter with like alcohol, wine, beer people always want that. Start a garden, get something to provide you with clean water – there is a pump on the market that you can get any water clean just by running it through it into a container. Get creative and get self-sufficient.

  • Raggs

I agree with you but, voting a third party if there are not enough votes will give the democrats an advantage and thats the last thing we need… I’m hoping too that the tea party will bring a canidate for 2012… but who knows… This would be the time to start a campaign..

2008 Market Crash Should be Investigated
By Jeff Lukens Wednesday, April 7, 2010

Almost two years after the mortgage crisis and stock market crash, no one seems to wonder about the “September surprise” that shifted the 2008 presidential election to an unknown leftist politician who had been elected to the Senate only two years before. A pulp-fiction writer could hardly have created a more contrived and bizarre story. But this was not make-believe. No, it is now our own gritty reality show that we only wish we could turn off.

The week of Sept. 15, 2008, was a debacle of huge proportions. On Monday, Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy while other lending institutions lined up like dominoes teetering on the edge of bankruptcy. But the week was hardly over. On Thursday, an electronic run on the banks occurred. In an unprecedented move, the Treasury and the Federal Reserve had to act together to stop what had become a full-fledged panic. On Saturday, Sept. 20, The Wall Street Journal recounted events of that previous Thursday:

“Instead of lining up at bank windows, investors were unloading financial assets on their PCs. Credit markets had seized up, to the point that even routine daily settlements had stopped until banks had the actual securities or cash in hand.”

“Investors were rushing out of these [Treasury and Federal Reserve] funds—$105 billion out of $1.8 trillion on Thursday alone—which in turn caused the funds to redeem their commercial paper investments.”

“Issuers of that paper then had to find new funders, which in a pinch are banks. But jittery banks were refusing to accept paper from even worthy companies amid the panic, creating a larger credit breakdown. In response, Treasury will now insure nonbank money-market fund deposits for the next year, to slow money-fund redemptions.”

For such a large and coordinated exodus of funds to occur in U.S. markets, something more than individual “investors” at their PCs had to be in play. Large and well-managed hedge and mutual funds were undoubtedly behind much of the move.

A few months later on a C-Span interview, Rep. Paul Kanjorski, House Capital Markets Subcommittee Chair, described that day:

“On Thursday at about 11 o’clock in the morning the Federal Reserve noticed a tremendous drawdown of money market accounts in the United States , to the tune of $550 billion was being drawn out in a matter of an hour or two. The Treasury opened up its window to help. It pumped $105 billion in the system and quickly realized that they could not stem the tide; we were having an electronic run on the banks. They decided to close the operation, close down the money accounts and announce a guarantee of $250,000 per account so there wouldn’t be further panic out there.”

The $550 Billion withdrawn in an hour or two that Rep. Kanjorski refers to in his statement has never been independently confirmed or refuted.

In mid-September, John McCain was ahead of Barack Obama in some polls by about 3 percent. By Oct. 10, the S&P 500 Index had lost 25% of its value from what it had been a month before. The crash was a major calamity for the McCain Campaign. And now, with Obama in the White House, it has become a calamity for us all.

The fact remains that the identities of those who withdrew their money that week were never disclosed. And, knowingly or not, they created a panic that altered the course of the election. One can only wonder whether something more than normal market forces was at work.

Courtesy of Barney Frank and Chris Dodd, the crisis came about by the uncertain value of subprime securities held by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, banks, saving and loans, and other lending institutions. A declining market in itself is not noteworthy, but to induce a panic in the midst of a presidential campaign, if ever proven, would be reprehensible and an outrage to the American electorate.

While the stock market collapse was a disaster for your average IRA or 401(k) account, some investors benefited handsomely. It is widely agreed that hedge funds profited by selling short the collapsing market in 2008, and chief among them was George Soros’ hedge fund. Soros may have personally had the motivation, method, and opportunity to trigger the crash.

Soros’ overseas-based hedge fund evades much scrutiny, and its activities that week left almost no trail. Could Soros and his hedge fund be behind many of the withdrawals of that week, and particularly on that Thursday? We need to know. The massive outflow of U.S. funds to offshore accounts that critical week during the campaign could be a coincidence, but it is doubtful.

George Soros is a multi-billionaire answerable to no one. Hastening a market meltdown to give the election to Barack Obama would fit his pattern of profiting while destroying the social order of his target country. Triggering a crash in 2008 would also serve his political investments.

Soros is obsessed with power. He wants a One World Government, redistribution of wealth, open borders, and universal health care. He is determined to change America forever by deconstructing its sovereignty and ability to defend itself. Soros was a huge backer of Barack Obama, and now his anointed president is determined to change America to their mutual view.

Soros made his fortune by short selling currencies and then pouring substantial amounts of his private wealth into organizations to subvert various nations. He nearly bankrupted the Bank of England by shorting the pound in 1992. He wrecked the Malaysian economy in 1998, and subsequently that of Indonesia as well. He is responsible for stirring-up instability in Africa, the Balkans, Eastern Europe , and the former Soviet republics.

Over the years, Soros has positioned himself to take control of the Democrat Party through the hundreds of 527 organizations he has helped financed. These organizations have become a “Shadow Party” unto themselves, and manipulate public opinion for their own end.

Among them: the National Education Association, ACORN, AFL-CIO, American Federation of Teachers, The Media Fund, the Open Society Institute, Planned Parenthood League, the Sierra Club, America Coming Together, the Huffington Post, Moveon.org. If a left-wing organization is in the news, it has probably received money from George Soros.

Why have the identities never been reported of those who withdrew funds that week? Shouldn’t there be even some curiosity about an event that wiped out the jobs and life savings of so many people? And why has there been no follow-up inquiry by into Rep. Kanjorski’s statement? There needs to be a public investigation concerning the amounts and offshore destinations of the funds withdrawn from U.S. markets that precipitated the crash.

Did an unwritten partnership exist between George Soros and Barack Obama? Could Soros, through Obama, be seeking a “velvet revolution” in the dismantling of our nation as he has done elsewhere? These questions need further investigation. With the Alinskyite tactics employed by Team Obama, none of this is beyond the realm of possibility.

Americans recoil at the thought of having their elections manipulated by outsiders. As long as Democrats control Congress, there surely will never be an effective inquiry into this affair. Perhaps a GOP victory this November will allow a thorough examination finally to begin. Add this to the many investigations the GOP will need to make when they finally take back Congress.

: Some people got a Raise, I DID Not …

Some people got a Raise, I DID Not …

I will send this out every month until election time, just as a reminder. If everyone remembers, we can make a difference.

GRRRRRRRRRR….! I’m MAD AND YOU SHOULD BE TOO!

Your U.S. House & Senate have voted themselves $4,700

    and $5,300 raises.

    1. They voted to not give you a S.S. cost of living raise in
    2010 and 2011.

    2. Your Medicare premiums will go up $285.60 for the 2-years and you will not get the 3% COLA: $660/yr. Your total 2-yr loss and cost is -$1,600 or -$3,200 for husband and wife

    3. Over 2-yrs The House & Senate each get $10,000 raises

    4. Do you feel SCREWED?

    5. WILL your cost of drugs – doctor fees – local taxes – food, etc., increase? You better believe they will!

    WILL THEIRS…NO WAY
. They have a raise and better benefits. Why care about you? You never did anything about it in the past.
You’re obviously too stupid or don’t care. No offense; just making a point!

    6. Do you really think that Nancy, Harry, Chris, Charlie, Barnie, et al, care about you?

SEND THE MESSAGE — You’re FIRED.!!!

IN 2010 YOU WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO GET RID OF THE SITTING CONGRESS AND Up to 1/3 OF THE SENATE, AND 100% OF THE HOUSE.

MAKE SURE YOU’RE STILL MAD IN NOVEMBER 2010 AND TELL THEIR REPLACEMENTS NOT TO SCREW UP.

It is ok to forward this to your sphere of influence if you are finally tired of the abuse.
    Maybe it’s time for the……..

    Amendment 28
“Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United
States that does not apply equally to the Senators or Representatives,
and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators or
Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the
    United States .”

Let’s get this passed around, folks – these people in Washington have brought this upon themselves!!! It’s time for retribution. Let’s take back America.
If you don’t forward this to all your friends you’re just part of the problem of national apathy.

Thats true, but the last thing we want to do is give the Republicans an advantage by voting for them.

If third party candidates lose, then they lose, we’ll try harder next time. But if we support Republicans they will screw us, just like they always do, just like the Democrats do.

Time for a short detour, T. When you say ‘science is the pursuit of truth,’ one might get the impression that you see the FDA for what it is (and how it got that way), and you’re spurred to bring real ‘change’ to the table.
Assuming that you understand the significance of the FDA’s relentless reliance on non-science (as opposed to protecting Big Pharma at ALL costs), then it would be nice to feel that in addition to wanting to render true social justice to those many politicians who have infested DC for so long, you know that many government agencies are redundant, are incompetent by choice and/or exist only to undermine America at its weakest points [via new depths of subversion and treason].
By the way, it wouldn’t make any difference if we could channel Einstein to get people to care about ridding America of all interlopers, most readers don’t take well to lengthy feedback. I am in no way in the Einstein category, but it doesn’t require silence or sustained rants from the alinsky crowd for me to know when to let someone else take up some space.
When I was dumb enough to rely on aocohol, caffeine and/or benzedrine, it was easy to go on and on (ad nauseam). Mutatis mutandis, no more liberal inclinations, plus being lucky, yurz truly don’t do dat no mo. Life is short, and trying to properly deprogram ultraiberal progressives is a constant,
    posterior-grating exercise in futility.
And, to be fair to the disloyal opposition, never forget that “Bush was in the White House for 8 years” (where have I heard that before?).

  • Mike In MI

    Dear Tom -
Thanks for taking a chance with us and for having sorted, written and logically, as possible (it’s so MUCH, Geez), laid it all out. This whole Gordion Knot is so twisted and involved. But that’s what one ends up with when one intermingles nationalistic, religious, militaristic and black market intrigues with gangsters, financiers, nuclear war secrets and unmitigated power appetites.

This stuff will undoubtedly become so like a huge carbuncle on our collective necks, at some point it will all come pulsating with its own evil energy to the surface. Something this big with this many contemptible partcipants can not remain suppressed. It’s like septicemia. The infection is evetywhere in the body, has efffects on every organ system and cells that aren’t even directly involved become embroiled.

At first I started to feel like “s c” with his reaction. But, then as it begins to make sense with predictions Jesus Christ made about a coming time when things would become, “As in the times of Noah…”! In Noahic times the whole earth became so evil that all the thoughts of mens’ hearts were only evil continually. Well, it seems we’re approaching such an impasse. It’s all over the globe, to varying degrees and manifested networks. I guess God must have decided to just leave hands off mankind and let them do what they want. At some point things would have work out to this. Well, I just wonder how much longer it can continue? Gonna’ be a lotta’ diein’.

As for me and my house…we choose the LORD, thank you.

  • Tom

Yes, I remember that electronic bank run very well. It caused a lot of insider fear in Washington.

Fear…Fear is how they operate. Terrorism, Bird Flu, Swine Flu, always some crisis to get people to react quickly without taking any time to think things through. Thats how Obama got his stimulus plan rammed through. Fear of economic collapse. Its how they work.

In the end, Goldman Sachs inside man in the Treasury, like an armed robber inside the back of the Brinks truck, passed out cash by the truckload to his buddies below,at Goldman Sachs who were crying poverty. It was the largest bank heist in history.

  • MikeC

    James,

Great article. What was the source.

  • Meteorlady

Soros should be tried for economic “terrorism”. He has created more damage in this world than probably any other single person. He makes his money by bringing down banks and currency. We should deport his as* back to the communist states he came from.

  • JLC

  • http://?? Joe H.

    Tom,
“If we lose, we lose”. And we have four more years of Obummer. Can we afford that??? Can this country survive that?? I will vote for the most conservative person that I believe can defeat Obummer!!!

  • Tom

Are we going to trust those who abuse us to reform themselves?
Cannot call for any Constitutional Convention without risking everything…

Again, once they get their hands under the hood of the Constitution, they will change it in ways we will regret for the rest of our lives.

They cannot be trusted with such things. And when was the last time they allowed the Constitution to guide them anyway?

An Amendment is useless if they ignore it like they ignore the rest of the Constitution.

Much like children with matches, they cannot be trusted.

  • Frank

The Time is NOW to select our candidates, NOT in November.

    By Selecting & Supporting a 3rd, 4th, or even 5th party we are dividing the existing parties. If you do some math, and research the main reason no one votes third party is because most never heard of the candidates before casting their vote. In the past most (voters)people werent as dissatisfied and disgusted either. We stand in a very unique position for a third party because of several key things;

1-Past History of both RNC & DNC track records
    2-Information data bases and history
3-The Internet as a Source of media.
4-Timing of elections as things get worse..people open their eyes more.

So as I see it, the Govt will change the hearts & minds of many of the sheep, its our job to build strength & publicity of the candidates. The key is finding the people who know how to run a campaign, thats thekey road block on my own campaign.

So the Challange isnt at the voting booth, the challenge is every day before election day.

  • Tom

I am saying FBI Translator Sibel Edmonds has stated under sworn testimony that Bin Laden remained a CIA asset right up until Sept 11, 2001.

Bin Laden was a CIA asset, a US proxy, trained, funded and armed, to battle the Soviets during the Afghan war with the Soviets in the 1980′s.

He remained an asset, and was used in other operations in Asia later on.

    Thats what I am saying.

  • Tom

Dale, the people in the intelligence agencies have limited oversight by Presidents or Congress. They site national security, and much of what they do, they do on their own, without knowledge of the president.

I say much of what they do. Not everything. Intelligence working hand in glove with international criminals is nothing new Dale. Backing resistance groups, Operation Gladio, ect, its what they do, and the very fact its not openly talked about is a major reason so many Americans have difficulty grasping elements of the US government are fully capable of committing atrocities. Especially on American soil.

  • Tom

Well SC I think the FDA is no different than Congress. They are all on the take for the most part.

Sorry if I have taken up too much space here, but I think there is still plenty of room.

You are correct in stating that “deprogram ultraiberal progressives is a constant, posterior-grating exercise in futility.”

I am not liberal leaning, not am I under the influence. Much of what I have learned many times comes from some offhand comment made by some blogger, or poster in some political forum. That many times leads me to investigate.

I find statements made by public officials concerning 911 that contradict the official story very interesting. These people were not crazy when they joined say the FBI, so why should we not consider what they have to say? I have posted nothing from the Tin Foil Hat crowd.

Oh, I have lots more I haven’t even scratched the surface on. But I think when this stuff starts to come out, we need to be made aware of it. Especially statements made by public officials.

I see people starting to get sidetracked with the Obama show, and it worries me that they are going to fall into the same trap they always have. Voting for the “Other” party.

This is an election year, I think its important to keep up the drumbeat till the end. Perhaps you are right, perhaps it is futile.

The only other alternative is to just give up.

  • angel-wanna-be

Sc___Bush was in WH for 2 terms and our current President was in the Senate for what, a mere 151 days??–With only the title of author and a Community Organizer prior to the Presidency?__That’s pretty damn scary!__Please Correct me if I’m wrong about the number of days he served in the Senate.

  • Tom

You are very right here Frank. Its up to everyone to take this seriously and forget their ideology for once.

The job is cleaning out the 2 corrupt parties. They are not going to do it themselves.

Everyone needs to start talking about this. I don’t care what third party you vote for, left or right, just make sure they have no ties to the DNC or RNC.

Find these people and start supporting them. And get them to start talking about campaign finance reform. Thats they first step in ending this problem.

  • s c

Marilyn, Good Post!__can anyone say “Corrupt Career Politicians!”

  • Doc Sarvis

Here is a bit of good news. This is from CNN at
    http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/04/14/earmarks.report/index.html?hpt=T2
Seems like the Democrats in Congress and President Obama are reducing the amount of pork $s.
“The “Pig Book,” an annual report detailing the excesses of pork spending, has served up its usual heavy-duty mockery of congressional excesses. But this year the meat spit is smaller.

The number and costs of congressional pork projects dropped this year, the Citizens Against Government Waste said in its “2010 Congressional Pig Book Summary,” issued on Wednesday.

The 9,129 projects in the report “represent a 10.2 percent decline from the 10,160 projects identified in fiscal year 2009, and the $16.5 billion in cost is a 15.5 percent decrease from the $19.6 billion in pork in fiscal year 2009,” the group said.

The nonpartisan group, which has been shining the light on how members of Congress use the earmarking process to steer money to projects in their districts, attributed the decrease in part to “reforms that were adopted when Democrats took over Congress in 2006.”

  • eyeswideopen

Marilyn, here is a little more info for you regarding taxes. After the Revolutionary War, Congress levied excise taxes on spirits, tobacco, snuff, refined sugar, carriages, property sold at auction, and legal documents, to help pay off debts incurred during war. In 1794 farmers in PA. resisted paying taxes on whiskey and Pres. Washington sent troops to supress the rebellion. 1790 Direct taxes on owners of houses, land, slaves and estates were levied. 1861 Tax on personal income. 1862 tax on playing cards, gunpowder, feathers, telegrams, iron, leather, pianos, yachts, billard tables, drugs, potent medicines and whiskey. In addition licence fees for almost all professions were collected. Your statement about us not having any taxes a hundred years ago, is not correct and as you can see we were taxed right after the Revolutionary War. This is America and we have always been taxed.

  • JeffH

If I heard correctly, new taxes will cost Americans about $635 billion. Over $250 grand will pay approx. $335 billion and $250 grand and under will be paying about $300 billion. I just wonder what Congress will plan to spend it on. You can bet it won’t be on deficit reduction.

It is these ” Obamacrats ” who caused all these problems of high taxes, ” astronomical spending ” and etc. all these problems are well known to all and you are especially aware of them. Barack Obama taught law at the University of Chicago for 12 years. G.W. Bush was a cheerleader at Yale.

  • JeffH

    Normy baby, your point is???nothing!

  • Meteorlady

Actually Norm his title was “senior lecturer” but the U of Chicago (highly communist leaning institution) regularly referred to him as a “constitutional law professor”. Even Hillary stated the following: ” Sen. Obama has often referred to himself as “a constitutional law professor” out on the campaign trail. He never held any such title. And I think anyone, if you ask anyone in academia the distinction between a professor who has tenure and an instructor that does not, you’ll find that there is … you’ll get quite an emotional response.”

Due to numerous inquiries the UC Law School carefully issued a statement where they said he “taught three classes per year”, that he was a “professor from 1992 until 1996″ then a “senior lecturer from 1996 to 2004″. The Law School faculty were regarded as professors even though they were not full-time or had tenure. Obama stretched the truth quite a bit as he didn’t make full professor, worked only part time, and didn’t have tenure at the University.

Bush ‘s IQ is listed at 125 compared to Clinton who has 137 so these two are a bit above normal. Since Obama has made all his records private (no college transcript from Harvard, no college GPS, no SAT score, or his LSAT score) I could not find anything anywhere about his IQ.

When Obama “presided” over the Harvard Law Review he evidently didn’t actually publish anything or all his work has also been suppressed. I did find one article he wrote about an unborn child’s right to sue the mother for neglect and wrongful death.

I started out using my voting privilege at the age of 21 as a Democrat, largely because that’s how my parents voted. Then the Democrat party left me, I did not leave it. So I registered as a Republican. Then the Republican party left me, so I became an Independent. I’m trying to be more careful with my vote at the national level. Locally it’s easier because we generally know the people for whom we are voting. I always split my vote among Democrats, Republicans and Libertarians. I think it’s dangerous for one party to be completely in control. But i also try to know who the people are for whom I’m voting. At the national level, it takes more research. There are people whose opinions I trust more than others. Plus, if you listen to the candidates, you get a good idea where they stand on the issues. But i must say, I will never vote for another Democrat at the national level. Bleeding hearts cause trouble for us all.

Obama is more than socialist. He’s Marxist/communist. He’s corporatist. He’s globalist.

Whatever he is, he’s not American.

  • eyeswideopen

    Kate8 and neither are you.!!!

  • Meteorlady

Jezz – I think you finally got to Eyes….

  • kate8

Eyes, yours aren’t only slammed shut, you are in denial and deep asleep.

His parents, grandparents, mentors and associates have all been Marxist/communists. This is fact. He ran for office on a socialist
(New Party) ticket before he ran for the Senate. There is ample evidence that he was born in Kenya and is not a citizen at all.

Just keep snoozing. You’ll wake up when the brownshirts are at your door.

  • kate8

Markus, my issue with Glenn Beck is that he is still under the control of the globalist elite. He ridicules those questioning the Osurper’s legitimacy, and those quesioning 911.

I’d like someone who is willing to stand up indefiance against the corporatocracy. Don’t know if I’ve seen anyone like that. Maybe Michelle Bachmann.

  • Richard Pawley

kate8, one of the wisest men I’ve ever met once said that “one of the secrets of success is to deal with persons, places, and things, as they are and not as we want them to be.” We are never going to get a perfect man to rule the USA. Only one ever lived and they crucified him. Consequently if you are waiting for someone who agrees with you 100% you will wait beyond your life expectancy. There is no one who is doing Glenn Beck’s job anywhere in the US that I can see. He is honest and forthright and I do not belive he is controlled any more than is Sarah Palin. Being human they can make mistakes, but wouldn’t you prefer an honest and forthright person who might be wrong occasionally than someone who has an agenda and doesn’t care about what you and I care about (as Americans)?

  • kate8

Glenn Beck began investigating the FEMA camps. He knew they were real, but was told to refute them. He’s a smart guy. He knows there is plenty of evidence that Obama is a foreign operative, but there is a media blackout on the subject. And he has used his influence to damage those who are willing to as these questions.

I like Glenn, but until someone is willing to stand up and tell the unvarnished truth, I have a hard time trusting them. If you do not think he is controlled, then you don’t understand who owns and controls the media.

No one expects perfect. But there are people in control of everything we see and hear, and until we can find people who are willing to risk their all to tell the whole truth, we will continue to make decisions based on lies and/or half truths and nothing will change.

What we need are real statesmen instead of sellouts. Don’t know if any of those exist. There are very powerful elites who own and control virtually EVERYTHING, and they play hardball. It’s going to take a populace where people are willing to stand firm and defy these “world masters” en masse, and it won’t be pretty. But what quality of life will we and our children have if we do not.

Whatever happened to no taxes for the under?

  • JPW-

kATE8 Glen Beck and Sarah Palin are multimillionaires Hannity and O’reilly. All work for Rupert Murdoch a multiBillionaire. They will say any thing to protect their assets(don’t blame them I would too),but if you have that kind of money then they are the ones for you.

  • Doc Sarvis

    Whoever said “no taxes under”?

  • Doc Sarvis

    Oops, sorry. Misread.

  • kate8

That’s what I was saying. FoxNews is owned by the same corporatist elites (Murdoch) who own the rest of the media. They cannot be trusted. It’s not so much what the do report as what they don’t report.

Wasn’t it Murdoch who said, “The news is what I say it is”?

  • Doc Sarvis

You might want to take your tin foil hat off. You are totally buying into the fear that opponents of this great country want you to believe.

Has anyone heard of GOOOH.com? It means…Get Out Of Our House…a new way of trying to elect representatives that actually represent us.

  • Markus

    Kate8,
I understand about the Fema camps, I know they exist, I know that they are sitting there, everywhere, waiting for “customers”. Glenn is WRONG on that, no doubt, but he is taking the government at its word that they are not there for any particular reason, but you and most people know that all it is going to take a “crisis”, martial law, then in we go.
I would ask you if you don’t, watch him, and listen to his intensity, integrity, and honestness, and decide, thats all. I just am opening the discussion to whom we should be looking at??? My opinion is that Glenn Beck is the real deal, albeit not perfect, but someone like him. I love Micheal Savage too. He is the real deal but has been shunned by the media, probably because he is more intelligent than all of them put together…I love Michelle Bachman and would vote for her for sure. Anyone else???

  • Markus

    Che King,
Go away, your attacks are not wanted here. As usual the left has nothing to say of any substance except to ATTACK. Were in this mess because of ignornant people like you. Go drink some Kool-aid.
Question: Why doesn’t Obama admit who he is, what he’s trying to do and let’s HAVE A CONVERSATION about whether or not we want this agenda. That’s all!!! Not ramming it down subversively, let’s just have a conversation. Is that too much to ask?
Che, if your a Socialist, then fine, I don’t care, just admit it, and let’s talk about whether or not we Americans want it or not. Not to tough.

  • Markus

    Kate8,
I also like the statement, “We can’t tell you how to think, but we can tell you what to think about”. The media is corrupt from top to bottom and it is great that the rest of America is waking up. I been battling for 18 years. I’m tired.
For what it’s worth. I think we are in the End Times and there is nothing we can do about it. But, we must fight, kick, and scream till the very end because God is going to hold us accountable. Keep up the good work girl!!!

  • Meteorlady

Norm – you getting more over to the other side on that one – not meant as a slur, just surprised that you read Ron’s stuff.

I may not be rational who knows? But however I still believe in my God given rights and not to be ruled by any flesh and blood human. Because being ruled is a form of worship which belongs to my Creator not bho.

Finally, some truth and common sense about Murdoch.

  • kate8

Markus, I have listened to Glenn Beck, Hannity, Levin and others for
a long time. I am disturbed by the way they mock those of us who want
the Osurper to prove himself, as we have a Constitutional right to this information. They marginalize us along with the left. Doesn’t that strike you as odd? They can criticize Obama as long as it’s just
more of the usual political rhetoric, but not on anything of real impact. If the legitimacy issue was resolved, much of the other issues would be moot.

Michael Savage DOES talk about the legitimacy issue, and he is blunt about who Obama is, and for this I respect him. I like the things Glenn says about rebuilding America, but because of this issue I don’t
altogether trust him. I listen to anyone with a grain of salt, and I
do my own research. One thing we need to pray for is discernment.

  • kate8

Markus, I also believe that we are in the EndTimes. The reason scriptures can predict these events is because there have been many civilizations and many ages, and they always FOLLOW THE SAME PATTERN.
Each cycle is 5 to 6 thousand years (depending on who you ask), and they have a beginning, peak, decline and destruction, just like everything else. These cycles have been repeating for tens/hundreds of
thousands, perhaps millions of years. Cycles within cycles (wheels within wheels). “There is nothing new under the sun. What is has been before, and will be again”.

So, those who say humanity has been around for 6,000yrs, and those who say millions/billions of years are all right. And we are at the end of another cycle.

I don’t know if you’ve studied scripture from a more esoteric view, or perhaps the Bible codes, but there is a deeper message there. And across the EndTime prophecies is written “Will you change it”. This implies that it is possible to change it, if we can somehow rise up out of utter corruption. Other than that, we can only pray to be shown how to become more of Love, more holy ourselves in the hope that we can escape the “wrath” that is coming.

Analyzing about a excellent product and service that is available at this sort of high price tag irritates me personally occasionally. All things considered I can’t easily afford plenty of those high class goods available. On the flip side I love dreaming about it and whenever possible I love the small joys of your life. In the event you are part of individuals that may easily afford pricy products just simply go for it. I guess life is about having a good time, what else?
