Some Local Sheriffs Will Fight The Gun Grab *UPDATED

Sheriff Danny Peyman of Jackson County, Ky., reminded Americans who are concerned about the Federal government’s continued efforts to destroy the United States Constitution that there is still a powerful and peaceful means of resistance: the county sheriff.

We do our fair share of calling out crooked, Constitution-abusing police officers in the United States here at Personal Liberty Digest. So it’s nice to speak to and have the opportunity to write about members of the American law enforcement community who know the true meaning of the oaths they have taken. Peyman is most certainly one of them.

The Kentucky sheriff, speaking about the current gun control debate that has raged throughout the Nation, said last week: “My office will not comply with any federal action which violates the United States Constitution or the Kentucky Constitution which I swore to uphold. Let them pull that stuff in other places if they want, but not in Jackson County, Kentucky.”

The brave officer hopes that his public message will encourage other members of the law enforcement community to join him in resisting Federal abuses of power.

“Just a few of us have to be willing to stand up to political opposition putting our people at risk,” Peyman said. “The other side will back down.”

That is a message that resounded with Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association (CSPOA) Founder Richard Mack, who said in an interview with Personal Liberty: “I congratulate and applaud that sheriff for standing up for the Constitution and for the people of his county.”

Mack — who in 1997 won a Supreme Court case that allows State and local officials to refuse to enforce certain regulations that curb individual rights — asserts that sheriffs throughout the Nation should follow Peyman’s lead in protecting the Constitution against Federal overreach.

“Plain and simple, the sheriff of every county has taken an oath to not only protect his people from gangs and burglars, but also from anyone who threatens their Constitutional rights,” Mack said. “If any sheriff in the Nation says ‘well, I’m busy out here fighting the drug war, so it’s ok for the Federal government to come in and violate people’s rights,’ he’s not doing his job.”

Mack said there are some sheriffs throughout the country who haven’t been receptive to the CSPOA message. That, he blames on the possibility that they are afraid to lose out on the massive amount of Federal grant money that is doled out to law enforcement agencies throughout the Nation every year.

“I’ve told sheriffs throughout the country that they should stop taking this money,” Mack said. “It should be illegal and is certainly immoral. Sometimes, grants are given freely; and sometimes, they require some sort of compliance with the Federal government. But the same thing that we tell kids in stranger-danger classes applies: Sometimes, people handing things out freely are up to no good.”

The bottom line, according to Mack, is that the policies that the Administration of Barack Obama is pushing — even beyond gun control — will have a severe impact on American liberty. And the Nation’s freedom-loving people, the sheriff contends, so far have not been able to rely on even most members of the GOP to reverse them.

Asked what he believes the Federal government’s ultimate gun control goal is, Mack responded: “Registration and confiscation. They’re already talking about complete registration of firearms; well, history tells us what the next step is: confiscation. Hitler did the same thing in Germany and other countries that mandated complete registration did, too.”

Mack believes that the gun-grab agenda could be halted if just one-third of the Nation’s 3,100 sheriffs took the same position as Peyman.

“Every sheriff in this country can stop it,” he said. “And can you imagine how cowardly sheriffs that would stand by and let the Federal government come in and take guns and property — whatever they want — would have to be not to stand up for their people.”

CSPOA advises Americans to get in touch with their local sheriff and make sure that they vow to uphold the Constitution and protect local interests.

“It’s like Thomas Jefferson said; local government governs best,” Mack said. “And sheriffs should understand that and involve the community in keeping the area safe. Sheriff [Joe] Arpaio is setting an excellent example of that right now.”

Mack was referring to a program Arpaio, the sheriff of the Maricopa County, Ariz., has put in place whereby responsible, local gun owners who are trained by the department are patrolling streets around schools in a bid to deter crime and possible gun violence.

“The Sheriff is starting this School Posse program in order to allow everyone to feel safe sending their kids to school,” Arpaio spokesman Brandon Jones told The Daily Beast. “Using the history of his Mall Patrol Posse, statistically driving down crime at the local malls, he believes this is an appropriate way to address the public’s outcry for more security in and around schools.”

Mack said that people throughout the Nation should call their sheriffs and suggest similar approaches to making the ties closer between law enforcement and the general public.

“Isn’t that how it’s supposed to be?” Mack asked. “Neighbors looking out for neighbors.”

        Wayne just where in the he!! do you get the idea I was speaking about any particular party or speaking as a member of any party. I in no way labled millions of Americans as “they” I did lift a quote from another post then responded to it. My use of “they” refered to those in Washington who seem to think and certainly act like they are better than us ordinary citizens. Just for the record I am now and have always considered myself to be an Independent.

        I took a oath to defend the Constitution against those without and those within and I’ll live up to that oath when the time comes. I will not live under a marxist government with those elected become the controllers by force. Don’t give up your guns, no matter who comes after them, they maybe Amerians but, if they back a immoral government, they become the enemy and will be treated as such as they gave up that right to be American by taking the side of evil people who are just like Hitler, Stalin, Mao and Pol pot, who killed more people in the last century who were unarmed. John Adams said “A armed person is a citizen, a unarmed person is a slave” A true statement for all times. I would pray God would help but, these same evil people have kicked Him out of the schools and that is where crime is being committed, out of the public eye and we get a welfare state that owes the government for everything.         The term ‘bloodbath’ has been used on the floor of the U.S. Congress also. It is a strong term, used by gentle, albeit, frustrated people, to emphasize a point.
        Anyone trained for combat that has the capability to wage war, are the most capable, but the most cautions about ‘the final engagement’.
        Let us pray the ‘bloodbath’ can be avoided, and the Unites States of America remains a Free Sovereign Nation.

The cost of all advertising by any means is simply added to the price of products and services mentioned in the ads and paid for by consumers buying them.     To me,any police officer who doesn’t support what the American people(their bosses) want,is on the take(said grant money[that does not need to be taken all the time]is a bribe of sorts)from gov’t officials or union bosses,or even just a rogue group of crooked policemen!this does give the straight and upholding law officials a bad rap!most police officers that have kids know this law Obama wants is going to effect their lives too!(wont be able to give kid(s) guns)and they themselves have gun collections and you know they have semi-auto weapons(iv’e seen them at the range) just like us.so if the police in your town don’t support your gun rights,more than likely their crooked,if you didn’t already know it!

We have supported an incredible list of dictators and murderers as long as they opposed communism and opened their countries up to U.S. trade and investment.       Our sheriff is non-commital. At least one of the deputies was at our local gun store and admitted that he would confiscate if told to. Witnessed by 7 citizens. Out here in middle America red-neck-ville, that is a dangerous assertion.

    I agree with this Sheriff 100%! As I sated many times before, the Declaration reads: WE THE PEOPLE, it has no other wording or meaning!
    I do NOT obey any law that dictates what I can do to protect myself, and also require me to buy a permission slip (CCW PERMIT) to carry a gun IF I need one. I do NOT need any permission slips, nor a hall pass to do what I have the RIGHTS TO DO by Constitutional DEFINITION! It is CLEAR that WE THE PEOPLE have rights, government governs with OUR consent ONLY, and WE decide what can and can not be done! The 2nd Amendment states CLEARLY, that the RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED! Well, they have ‘infringed’ more than enough, and NOTHING HAS CHANGED! The dog and pony court system is a JOKE THAT MUST BE ELIMINATED FOR GOOD!       The Constitution guarantees many things to every American, and this country will never survive without it. However, there are also Constitutional Amendments which have been implemented over the years to address specific issues, illustrating that the Constitution is not as concrete as you think. It was written as a maleable document, able to adjust to a transforming society. That is the genius of it. I don’t support more gun control, but if that is what the majority of Americans want, that is what they will get.

        The Constitution is only a maleable document in the sense that it has a provision to be amended should the people wish to do so. Otherwise it stands as written and intended by the authors of it as evidenced by their writings.

      The Declaration of Independence says nothing about guns. The Constitution most definitely does. Both were written by hypocritical, wealthy slaveholders who bought, sold, whipped, and raped other human beings for a living. Some heroes of liberty. Like your namesake. Take his picture off the dollar and put one of the faces of the slaves he worked to death on it, instead. That’s how this country accumulated its wealth in its first century anyway.       There is only ONE elected Peace Officer in this Country, And people that is your County Sheriff. And People insist that he Protects you and you County. If he fails to do so Get rid of Him or Her. The feds have Been Buying your Local Politicians for Many Years, Put a Stop to this Also..I commend and salute any Sheriff that will up hold the Constitution and the rights for whice it stands. As an Ex Military an Ex Policeman I would be more than happy to assist our local Agencys any way Possible, Also its the Publics Right to come to the Aid of their Policemen when needed. And today it is Needed Badly.

      The Feds have been doing this for years, Have been offering good jobs to them and Buying the Local Politicians. The feds Want to work at will in any State and County, And if you look at things that have been going on for years you will see that Local Agencys are going along with them 99% of the time, With no questions asked. And one of the States i am really disappointed in is Texas. Chaney and his bunch allowed a whole Nite and day to sober up and get their stories stright before the County Sheriff interviewed them. Waco texas you all know about this Story. Sad but true, And all evidence was scraped up and hauled away before any other evidence could be looked at by other Agencys. Local sheriffs failed to to their Jobs.

That’s the premise of an episode of The Simpsons, first aired on April 5, 1998 titled, “The Trouble with Trillions.” Homer Simpson is caught cheating on his taxes and is turned into an informant by the FBI. Along the way, the bill is stolen by Fidel Castro.

      all public employees,were required to swear an oath , and became serfs of FEMA back, in 2009. without doing so, federal funds were cut off to even the sm ablest municipality. I work in a town of 1600 population. The majority of employees refused to take the oath, the city manager simply wrote our names on the roster,and sent it in.

    I pray that more of our LEOs and military (active and retired) align themselves with the principles of organizations like The Oathkeepers (www.oathkeepers.org) who swear to keep the oaths we took to protect the Constitution from enemies foreign and domestic. The first of the ten orders they refuse to ever obey is to participate in he confiscation of guns from law abiding citizens.

    way to suck out insurance dollars. Say to get meds need to go to pain management I pay 250 a month insurance. So they can work for government.

    Most people, including politicians fail to realize that the ultimate legal authorities in the land are the county sheriffs. This was established from the time of the Founding Fathers and upheld by the US Supreme Court in the 1997 case of Printz v. United States. Initially, the case was Mack v. United States, but by the time it reached the Supreme Court it was renamed.
    The case involved new federal regulations involved with the Brady Bill and gun control. FBI agents went around to the various county sheriffs and demanded that they follow the new federal guidelines. Then Graham County (AZ) Sheriff Richard Mack and several others saw the Brady Bill as being unconstitutional and refused to impose the new federal guidelines. Part of their defense was that the county sheriff was the supreme law enforcement officer over their county and that the federal government could not supersede their legal authority.
    In the court’s decision, Justice Antonin Scalia wrote:
    “. . . The great innovation of this design was that ‘our citizens would have two political capacities, one state and one federal, each protected from incursion by the other’” – “a legal system unprecedented in form and design, establishing two orders of government, each with its own direct relationship, its own privity, its own set of mutual rights and obligations to the people who sustain it and are governed by it.” (P.920)

    Justice Scalia then quoted the man considered to be the Father of the US Constitution, President James Madison, when he wrote in the decision:

    “[T]he local or municipal authorities form distinct and independent portions of the supremacy, no more subject, within their respective spheres, to the general authority than the general authority is subject to them, within its own sphere.” The Federalist, No. 39 at 245.

    Scalia then referred to Gregory, 501 US at 458 when he wrote:
    “This separation of the two spheres is one of the Constitution’s structural protections of liberty: ‘Just as the separation and independence of the coordinate branches of the Federal Government serve to prevent the accumulation of excessive power in any one branch, a healthy balance of power between the States and the Federal Government will reduce the risk of tyranny and abuse from either front.’. . .”

    Referring once again to President Madison, Scalia wrote:
    “In the compound republic of America, the power surrendered by the people is first divided between two distinct governments, and then the portion allotted to each subdivided among distinct and separate departments. Hence a double security arises to the rights of the people. The different governments will control each other, at the same time that each will be controlled by itself.” (P. 922).
    In other words, the county sheriff is the highest governmental authority in his county and he does not have to bow to the tyranny of the federal government if he deems such actions to be unconstitutional or unlawful. In essence, the county sheriff has more legal authority within his county than the governor or the state or even thepresident of the United States.
    Today, former Sheriff Richard Mack works with a number of county sheriffs throughout the county, helping them understand the extent of their authority and how they can legally defy the federal government. I would highly recommend that you contact your county sheriff and see if he/she is aware of their powers and duties. If not, get them in contact with Mack and urge your county sheriff to stand up against upcoming unconstitutional gun laws that the liberals are going to try to impose on us.

      I begin my treatise with these words from the Declaration of Independence. These words are as true today as they were when penned. We find ourselves today as Americans being abused by a government that has usurped our rights, and it appears the present administration is intent on “a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism”. Our freedoms under the Bill or Rights are being abused and assaulted daily. We can no longer speak freely about anything without the worry of “offending” someone, anyone, everyone, and if the folks who espouse this reasoning have their way it will be written into law under what penalties Heaven only knows. We cannot practice our religion freely. Books are being banned. Our right to keep and bear arms is being assaulted. Our children are being taught this reasoning. The Constitution no longer matters. We have a President who ignores it, and a Congress and Courts who allow him to get away with it, and a press and news media that defend him, and theirs is the only right under the First Amendment. It appears to me that the period of “while evils are sufferable” is upon us, and most citizens are unaware of or don’t care about it. We seem to have a certain part of society whose main interest is obtaining their living on the hard work and acumen of everyone else, and a President who appears intent on seeing that they get it. A President who gained his office through lies and deceit and thinks that he cannot be held accountable for it, and if reports are to be believed there was voter fraud involved in his election. His belief that he will not be held accountable is probably true because we have a Congress which is not doing it’s job of checking him so that the power is balanced in his favor, and a majority of citizenry who idly sit by and watch it happen.

      The time has never been more urgent than it is today. We the people must act by using our combined political power to induce our will on the people who supposedly represent us. They appear to espouse the same ideology as the President, and that is not representing the people. If you want to see what is coming to us I recommend that you search on “quotes of Vladimir Linen”. To paraphrase him “a lie told often enough becomes the truth”, “the objective of socialism is communism”, “one man with a gun can control one hundred men without one”. If you don’t see this happening today then you are asleep or blind. We are receiving a wake up call that is warning us that our lives as a free people is about to end if we continue on this path. It is urgently required that we use our political power to change this situation. I urge you to write to your representatives and senators to put an end to this man’s plans or face a loss of office in the next election. We have the power to do this if we stand together. The President can do nothing without the consent of Congress. Executive orders are meant to guide officers of the departments of the government in executing laws as approved by Congress, and cannot be used to infringe on our rights under the Bill of Rights. The only laws we are bound by are those which the Congress votes into law. The President is NOT a power unto himself, and we must do something to remind him of that. The Constitution denies him that power, and not that it means anything to him, but he is sworn to uphold it. He is not a legislator but an executive who carries out the laws passed by the legislators. The Constitution to him is “flawed” so he believes he has the right to ignore it, but he is wrong.

      These are the thoughts of the men who won our freedom and passed it down to us. It shows the greatest of disrespect to the sacrifices made by our forefathers to diregard the product of those sacrifices, those being the Declaration of Independence, which in essence was the first law of the land, and the Constitution with it’s Bill of Rights which established us as a united people with the right to govern ourselves. The power of governance lies solely with the people, and according to our Declaration of Independence it is our right, and our duty to “throw off such government” as we suffer under today. This we can do if we stand together. This can be done by civil process using our political power, or through force should that ever become necessary, and having served myself it would truly be difficult for me to join such a cause to face my comrades in arms on the battle field, such a decision I would no take lightly, but make no mistake I would willingly join in a struggle to maintain my freedoms against anyone who stood between me and them. People look past it and make what I consider to be false interpretation of it, but my interpretation of the Second Amendment that is gives us the right to keep and bear arms in order to form a militia that is armed in order to protect ourselves from oppressive and depotic government. That becomes plainly obvious when you read the reasoning and thoughts of the people who passed the Constitution down to us, and when you espouse the reason why we revere the Declaration of Independence. It is time we got back to the roots of our freedoms and independence and begin to rule ourselves.

      It is blantantly obvious that we function under a corrupt regime, and it’s policies are leading to a complete infringement and intrusion into our personal lives and basic rights. I would like to share with you some of the views of our forefathers through their quotes and writings. This is indeed not a complete list but a few quotations as concerns our rights and our government, of course including the above quote from the preamble to the Declaration of Independence:

      “THESE are the times that try men’s souls.       It would be nothing but fair to include views from the other side of the political argument. Since it is obvious that the leanings of this government is to the left, and the more votes it attempts to buy or steal, will ensure it’s permanentcy and it’s ability to usurp and infringe on our rights under the Constitution of the United States of America.       I leave you with a transcription of the Bill of Rights, which were included in the Constitution to delineate basic rights and freedoms of the people to protect them from what some of the founders believed could be a central government so powerful that it might override the rights of the governed who themselves are the true holders of power in this Republic. The federal government can hold no power that they are not allowed by the people, and according to the documents passed down to us by the founders we have a right, nay, a duty of recourse by political power or armed resistance to a government which does not have the will of the people at heart. We find ourselves in a crisis as urgent as any we have faced. I fear not what this one government can do. We have seen our rights trampled on by the left to the extent that we have no control over what we can say or do and what our children are taught. Our rights under the Second Amendment are under attack at the moment with threats of an executive order basically taking away our right to self denfense of our families and property, and extending to our right to protect ourselves from a despotic takeover of the government which disregards the will of the people by appealing to the to the greed and envy of those who have only their personal wants at heart. Enough said, I will leave you to your own thoughts and opinions of what you read here. It is not my intent to preach, but to bring notice to that which we cannot treat so lightly as to have it take away from us. I draw your attention to the ninth amendment which does not allow limitation of other rights we might have. If you think at all about it you will find that all the others have already been “denied and disparaged”.

        Sir, those two idiots that proceeded this comment sounded like they don’;t like the truth when is shown them. To me they are among the sheeple. When I enlisted in the US Army Dec 20, 1963 I took an oath that was not for just the term of my enlistment it was for the rest of my life. You know the one: “I solemnly swear to uphold and defend the Constitution against all enemies FOREIGN and DOMESTIC etc etc and end with so help me God.” I try to renew this oath every year once on the anniversary of my enlistment and then again on the anniversary of my retirement. I’ll go to my grave doing just that. Oh, and I’ll also give my life if need calls for it defending those that cannot defend themselves or won’t.

    Local sheriffs are the top LEO in their county, trumping local, state, and federal officials. Those they deputize hold the same authority. So, go get elected, or at least join the sheriffs auxiliary and get deputized, then start arresting .gov clowns who attempt to violate any of your constitutionally protected God given rights for treason, and for acting “under color of law”. Supreme Court has ruled several times that anything in contradiction of our Constitution, even though in the form of “law”, is worthless and not valid.

You read a part of the Constitution one way, somebody else reads it another. That’s why we have a judicial branch of government.       Our government has grown too big, time to trim it, with the constitution as a guideline.
      Government doesn’t need to be involved with medicine, education, energy, etc.
      Because everything they “take over” becomes a corrupt mess, and we simply don’t have the $$ to even attempt to fix it.

However, repeatedly using words like “criminal” and “crook” make it seem like you don’t have any perspective on our government. Obama is a Democratic president, and will strive to impliment the Democratic Party’s agenda. Unfortunately, this is what presidents do. I don’t mean to say we have to accept this as a reality, but have some perspective. Bush was the same way. Clinton was no different. You are right, Motov. Much needs to be done to improve our government. One thing people have stopped doing, though, is trying to convince opponents who disagree with them. The norm now is to see who can shout the loudest. If we really want things to get better, then we have to have real conversations. That means giving the other side a measure of respect. Obama is another Democratic president, nothing worse. It’s encouraging to me that you are engaged in this discussion.

          Chances are that third party candidate is LISTENING to the people, but people are too hard headed that they must vote between the EVIL parties.
          This doesn’t make sense.
          If both parties hate poverty,… why is it worse than ever before?
          If both parties hate deficits, ..why did they kick the can further down the road? and never found some $800 billion that mysteriously vanished right before their eyes?
          If that doesn’t define criminal activities, I guess I better go to another neurologist and make sure I do have Parkinson’s Disease and not something else. I think for most of the politicians their next term should be served in prison, preferably in the same cell as “Bubbah” so “Bubbah” can show them what they have done to us for years!

        If you are fed up with lies and deceit today, how do you think people felt back in 1776 when they had a bunch of wealthy plantation owners who bought, sold, and worked to death other human beings talking about freedom and liberty! And people were so gullible back then, that they bought it! They fell for all this mularkey peddled by the Founding Slaveholders! Loons still fall for it today. Well, not me buddy. Known as the Civil War,… Almost 700,000 americans paid with their lives for it,…Don’t try to blame any of my ancestors, They were in England (Mom’s side), Grandmother was “off the boat” in coming here,.. and my dad’s side Ukraine, where they fled the Stalin regime. So let’s keep what is in the past where it belongs, and learn the lessons of it. One thing is certain, Our leaders in DC lie to the rest of us, We need new leaders, truthful leaders, leaders who will walk the constitution talk.
          And no more of this sneaking outrageous spending bills loaded with pork at the last minute.

    Let me start with “Patriots won’t let anyone take their guns away” That said, this acticle says the Sheriffs are able to protect us from the government. Why have they not arrested this administration then? The administration has trampled the constitution. This so called president has broken so many laws. High crimes and felonies yet no one has the balls to do anything about it. Sheriffs, really? Don’t get me wrong, i have the highest respect for all law enforcement they have an impossible job just dealing with their day to day. The patriots were at the precipice of a revolution 2008 and hope and change came along. Now the only thing that’s changed is there is no hope. If the election/voting system is either too corrupt or broken, or the people are too stupid, what’s a patriot to do? Thank God I live in Texas!

    As always, people on both sides of the issue. There is another and larger organizations of sheriffs which in the past has supported some forms of gun control. At this time, they are , as many rational people are doing, waiting to find out what is going to be proposed before they take a position. Discussion is necessary and too many people have already closed their minds before they even have any idea of what is proposed. A Pew poll found that about 80% of U.S. citizen support extending back ground checks. A vast majority favor legislation to try and keep people with severe mental problems from buying guns. Lets see what is proposed and then talk.

      Extended background check would not have prevented the Sandy Hook tragedy. The guns and ammo were lawfully purchased by his mother. Mental health is the issue and it is getting very little attention in this effort to restrict the gun ownership rights of law abiding citizens.

    Here we are again trying to make,or talk inflamed conquest with words that only can divide us more. Too often this division only constitues opinions with ,if not anger, toward each other. And when the smoke rises we are still where we were. And no one had the winning pass. We the people stands getting the pro and con from we the people, so why not take a bit of a detour and look at the sceanry with a time to visit our rights that no one has the right nor vote to tear that cloths of us, we standing in front of a world that deams us a very troubled country. Our past has now again caught up with us. Turn the light up and put your eye wear on and read,listen with out breaking befor another has had their say. I assume we are still a very powerful nation, with laws ,of laws, that must be our path’s to stand back and survey just what is actually going on. Our local Gov’t to the top of our voted in leaders must be challenged all the time. If I am humbly wrong I will relent my time for a bit and allow ,our, we, the people to convey the past, present,( future??? ) where we are now. The future is always the events predicable only when time has it;s say. have we not been warned by words spoken that has a very clear vision to just what problems we are fronted with. When we unite it is a true power to invarably lead us to honest truths. Our Dreams of a safe good life has been crushed by others that want ,need ,exceptually amounts of power. We must observe our greatest Enemy of our present. The Muslim Empire of the US. The things going on are argued and misconstrued in favor of the self righteous elites that think they know whats best for all.     The Second Amendment was written to allow American citizens to keep and bear arms as a means to protect the republic in the event that it became necessary, it also reserved that right to us in the event that we were required to overthrow a despotic tyrannical regime if that became necessary. This is obvious when you read the reason and thought behind the inclusion of the Bill of Rights in the Constitution. The entire opposition to the Constitution’s
    enactment was the fear that it would lead to a centralized government that would abuse it’s powers. It has become obvious to me at least that we are in a period of time that is of the utmost importance to the freedoms and rights of the citizenry of this country provided by the Constitution. The use of executive orders was meant for the President to direct his government officials in the execution of those laws passed by Congress. The President is not a power unto himself. He is not a legislator. His duties are to enforce the laws passed by our legislators who are elected to represent we the people, and they have the power to override any attempt of the President to by pass them or the Constitution. The sole power in this government lies with We the people period, and we exercise that power with the vote, but when those who believe that they can buy votes through paying those who are dependent on the government for their livelihoods it becomes equally obvious that if we are to retain our freedoms we must either arouse those who believe in their rights and freedoms to vote the government out of office, or take the extreme action of armed insurrection. I recommend to those who haven’t already done so to educate themselves on the reasons we are a free and independent people from the Declaration of Independence, to the drafting of the Constitution, and its inclusion of the Bill of Rights which was brought about by the drafter fears of an oppressive central government.

    Since the feds are employees of American citizens, we will instruct them to observe the constitution and the laws that the congress made….grants are bribery attempts and those that take that action are in violation…..arrest them or take them down if they resist…..going against the constitution is “traitor status” and anti-american therefore they are recognized as the enemy against the United States subject to arrest and with any resistance, take them down. Since they are a minority we win with the majority of legal gun owners in America. They lose, we win!

We live in a peaceful country because our military takes care of business, not because we kill each other. Any fool can pull a trigger. Interacting with other people takes more intelligence than that. I’m sure you are an intelligent person, so try putting yourself in someone else’s shoes, then figure out a way to convince them to your way of thinking.

        Really-you THINK we can just talk to them and they will somehow miraculously come around to our (gun owners) way of thinking? I do not believe the intent of the original comment was to “kill” them, but to say if they want my guns they will have to pry them from my cold, dead hands!! Yes, one would think we are a peaceable country, but that only takes place when ALL inhabitants of the country are peaceable.We are in the midst of evil people using any means to do evil things. Law abiding citizens can TALK to these evil people and end up at the local cemetery with a headstone that reads, “Being peaceable earned them the right to die!” I am a 60 year old woman, who ALWAYS hits her target. I pray it will never have to be a human, for life is a gift from God. When someone wants to take my life, I will defend myself. I am licensed to carry concealed and do most of the time. My state allows open carry and I am not ashamed or afraid to do that either. I agree with this sheriff in that it is better to have a gun in the hand instead of a cell phone when rounds are being popped off. Police and law officials are to serve and protect the law. If that is not true, then why are we not allowed to sue them if something bad happens after we call 911? If they are to serve and protect us, then why don’t I get one? Just sayin–

    I retired from the military after serving for over 30+ years in 1992 and will continue to defend the Constitution for the rest of my life. That includes any person that can’t defend him/herself or won’t. So therefore any Law Enforcement Officer who will stand by his/her oath to uphold and defend the Constitution against all enemies FOREIGN and DOMESTIC will not have to worry about their backs because I’ll be there watching their six.

      I have been thinking about all this and have come up with some things to consider. 1. This agenda smells and promotes what it implies. 2. There is little truth to there reasoning to unarm people that have no previous raps. Question? Why do they wish to do these things? What are they, the powers to be looking to get from it? What can they do once they get guns out of our hands? People kill other people for reasons. Reasons may be unwise but there are reasons. Serial Killers kill for the same. There reason is because they like it. These reasons are a very low percentile when taken with the amount of guns owned. They fear us and they want to remove that fear. Then once this is done they will do things most wish never to have thought. We need fear these people and we need fear those that are unwise by putting there trust in those that don,t deserve it. There words and there actions show all what they are and only the blind do not see what they are. I say they see and they deceive. This is a reply to all and does not target one or the other than those that wish to take our FREEDOMS away and We don,t have any anyway. Hold what we have!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    My conslusion
    The civilians in America privatly own 270,000,000 fireamrs. That is 88.8 people out of 100. Our own defense forces in the United States only reported to have 3,054,553 firearms. And our police have only reported to have 897,400. Both defense military firearms and the police only have together 3,951,993 which is only a 1 to 68.3 ratio compared to how many guns the civilians own….
    Therfore dont [expletive deleted]with the citizens rights
