Socialist France Losing Citizens

July 19, 2012 by

Socialist France Losing Citizens
Facing high taxes, many wealthy French are moving out of the country.

It turns out socialists know how to grow the economy in one segment of the market: real estate.

French real estate agency figures show that following the country’s recent election of a socialist president and political majority, wealthy Frenchmen are opting to move out of the country.

From The Telegraph:

Sotheby’s Realty, the estate agent arm of the British auction house, said its French offices sold more than 100 properties over 1.7 million euros between April and June this year – a marked increase on the same period in 2011.

Alexander Kraft, head of Sotheby’s Realty, France, said: “The result of the presidential election has had a real impact on our sales.

The exodus is most likely the result of a round of “share the wealth” proposals being considered by French socialist leaders. The government is currently in the process of trying to implement a 75 percent tax rate on French taxpayers earning more than 1 million euros yearly and a tax raise on the middle class in the country from 41 to 45 percent.

France’s Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault has promised the new government will quickly enact a number of other socialist reforms as well. These include plans to construct more than a 500,000 new public housing units each year, the right for same-sex couples to get married and adopt children, a higher minimum wage and the right to vote in municipal elections for documented immigrants who have resided in France more than five years.

I think the correct spelling is losing. And yes, immigration and socialism is making France uninhabitable for civil society.

  • Pete0097

This ought to be an interesting experiment. Don’t these fools understand basic human instincts? It won’t be long before the only ones there are on the dole or are the politicians.

    • http://Pleasejustusemyfirstname(Joan114) Joan Roma

I agree with half this comment. I also think the only ones left will be the ones who don’t pay into the system and before long you will run out of other peoples money because either they roo left and there is nothing left in the Piggy Bank.
This is what happens when you do not go out and vote and just leave it to the other guy to vote. Too bad, such a beautiful country going down the drain..

      • steve

the whole world is going down the drain not just france. is anyone suprised. only the morons don’t get. greed has conquered the world thanks to the great deceiver, SATAN.

    • Average Joe

“Don’t these fools understand basic human instincts? ”

Speaking of human instinct, can anyone explain to me why we allow this to go on?

      The Dot:

Is it time for the people to start thier own “Just say no!” campaign? I think so….does anyone else? Time to wake up and take action folks.

it seems we are heading for the same here . the real french citizens did not vote for that .the problem is they have a very high pourcentage of muslims who made the mess !!!!

    Socialism does not work.

    It is a dead end.

It does not share the wealth, it shares the misery.

It is a return to feudalism, the only change being a new ruling class.

How many times, in how many countries, do these facts have to be proven?

    • Dinh c Dao

Charlie, you are so right! I escaped that system 30 years ago but it’s still sometime haunting me.

    • navi

      Charlie.” Socialism doesn’t work.”
It looks to me that people still doesn’t understand or they don’t want to understand ,what is Socialism.
Socialism is the first decisive step toward Communism. Communism is total slavery.
Communism were invented and financed by the Anglo-American power elite. In the Cold-War there was no problem with the Soviet -Block.Why?Because this block was delivering all the goods of their production to the West. From agricultural products to gold, silver, vanadium, wolfram, processed aluminum the highest quaity of lumber etc. All of these ;FREE.This block even paid for the shipment too. If you know any better investment , please let us know.
In the West nobody was complaining. They knew about it but, ” It is OK”
Today the West is complaining because they know that it is their time to be on the chains of slavery.

      • Charlie Tall

Who cares what socialism “really is”? It doesn’t work.

End of story. Forget all the crackpot, conspiracy-theory nonsense.

        Socialism doesn’t work.

  • Tom Cook

When France is just another third or fourth world muslim stinkhole we’ll change the tower’s name to offal tower. Looks like it won’t be long.

    • French Following in America’s Failed Policies under Obummer

Leave it to the French to try to screw everyone and wind up screwing themselves. They invited the Muslim Terrorists (that’s really a redundant statement) to do the work that the elitest frogs won’t do for themselves…compare illegal Mexican immigration into the vegetable fields of the Southwest and California)’

Look hard America, we already have a Marxist Muslim terrorist elitest Emperor here, and we’re facing the last chance to get rid of this business and America hating Socialist and save the great country.

      Vote Romney

      • Brad

        Amen brother!!!

      • Average Joe

        “Vote Romney”

Er… no…Romney is another political clone created by the ruling elite…Vote Ron Paul…..unless you just love more of the same.

  • http://peresonallibertydigest.. gottaplenty

The majority of these socialist leaning idiots that were raised in this country went to public schools. the rest just came here to get a free ride , immigrants. We have been grooming this country for this for a long time , by those ones that support Obummer today…

  • dan

socialist America is about to lose a bunch of freedom loving entrepreneurs and
capitalists ,too. When the majority can rule by choosing the candidate with the best speech delivery or nicest hair as if they were running for class president instead of
their voting record and character…then we have lost our Republic AND our liberty.

  • Rasta

Well I’m really going to pay attention to someone that can’t spell losing!

  • Karla

I knew we were in deep doo-doo when the Kenyan bamboozled the dumbocrat idiots. Will he bow down to EVERY tinhorn dictator?… He was never vetted by the stupid party, and he’ll take them with him down the sewer. Think I’m angry? You bet your a–!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Randy131

So where do you think the rich French learned to take this route to avoid tyranical taxation? From US Industry, that’s where! In the USA today there is only 25% of the Industry left that existed in the USA in the 1970s. Having the highest corporate tax rate in the world has it’s negative reactions, as France is beginning to find out now. Where did all those US Industries go, to China, Taiwan, Mexico, Viet Nam, South America, and even some to Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, among many other low tax countries around the world, especially Malayasia and the Philippines. If Americans really want their jobs to return, they’re going to have to put the Socialist Democrats out of office, and rein in the rogue Unions by passing a national ‘Right-to-Work’ law, so Americans can have a choice to belong to a Union or not to, for I was taught that was the American way, free choice, not socialists telling you what you have to belong to to be able to work, and an organization taking part of your hard earned money without your consent. America’s Industry will never return to it’s former heights and glory until these things happen, and we’ll have chronic unemployment until they do. Who said the French will never learn, seems to me that describes the Americans! One thing for sure though, we’ll have more college educated people per capita than any other country in the world, they’ll just not have any jobs, but will carry a lot of debt, for that’s Obama’s solution.

    • Randy131

If you think that the 25% Industry left in the USA today is a made up number, then I challenge you to look up the number of Industrial Businesses and the number of people they employed in 1970, and compare that to the numbers of US Industrial Businesses and the number of people they employ in today’s society.

Socialism amounts to prostitution raised to an art form [hence, Amerikan politicians and the filth who keep them in office]. While France has produced its fair share of culture, it also has some world-class flaws. In an attempt to make this short, when Hitler was ready to invade Paris [WWII], the French took it upon themselves to SURRENDER, rather than fight.
It was beyond inexcusable and immoral then, and it would be inexcusable and immoral now. So, boys and girls, if Amerika found itself in a situation where we had a choice between fighting and surrendering, do you think we have enough freedom-loving folks who’d fight and resist? Food for thought, eh? I suspect we have a nonCommander-in-Chief who would say surrendering is the better choice.

  • 45caliber

And not-so-wealthy people wish they could move.

Why do you think so many Muslims are being welcomed in France? Their own people are dying off since they can’t afford children any more.

  • Silas Longshot

Damfi would stay at 75% MY income grabbed as taxes. Pretty soon ‘safe’ places like Switzerland will be too crowded for more rich people to fit in. But it sure will be a rich country!
    surviving urban crisis.

  • cerebus23

see if france has a revolt first or we have a civil war first.

    anyone wanna start placing bets?

  • Anne

Switzerland does not let just anybody in, just try. Only the very rich can buy their way in and that keeps the welfare roles way down.

  • Dhip

And now you know why so many companies and citizens have money banked offshore. American entrepreneurs are just as intelligent as their French counterparts. Obama is the worst thing to ever happen to the economy, and millions of Americans have suffered, through the loss of jobs and family break ups.

  • Ralph Abravaya

I think the consensus is that socialism is good for the lazy and for people unwilling to work and capitalism is for people who want to strive for something more
The choice cannot be any clearer this November – I know some folks like average Joe above think that Romney is just the same here is his quote
“Romney is another political clone created by the ruling elite…Vote Ron Paul…..unless you just love more of the same”.
This comment smacks to me of a person ignorant of the facts– the contrast could not possibly be any more different – a successful business man with experience and a commitment to capitalism and minimum taxes and a community organizer who is black and therefore plays the race card and is a devout socialist – the choice is yours America. By the way Joe Ron Paul is not running. It is only between these 2 and if you do not vote then that is a de-facto vote for the incumbent. If you want to turn this mess around you must vote for Romney. If you on the other hand want your handout then vote Obama. You might not agree with everything Romney does or has done, but I am sure you will agree with the vast majority of the decisions he will make for our country. As opposed to the other choice I do not think you will agree to the majority of his decisions.
    Just my opinion
    Ralph Florida

  • Commiefornia

So goes Commiefornia, so goes France…There is already an exodus of businesses and individuals leaving California too. I may be next. The political, economic, and tax climate make living in this beautiful state unbearable.

  • Anthony R

obama change you can be leavin

  • Daffu

Very simple…. If this is implemented, makesure all the politicians and their secretaries with a starting salary of 1mil together with allowances. Then they would see all the fuss is all about.

May be Singapore should have this as well. Their ministers earns in Million and above.
