Whether you think the Supreme Court’s decision on Arizona’s immigration enforcement law is a victory for those on the side of American sovereignty and security or a victory for President Barack Obama and his Democratic accomplices, the losers will be the same bunch who always end up south of the border when Obama wipes his feet with the Constitution: the millions of Americans whose lives are less valuable to Obama than the potential support (read: votes) of illegal aliens and their racist enablers.

In the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision to split the baby on Arizona’s efforts to do the Federal government’s job, Obama bestowed upon us subjects another reminder of his evolving disregard for not only the law, but the Constitution — just in case there was anyone left who didn’t already notice his royal Obamaness’ view on the subject.

An anonymous source inside the Obama Administration said: “We will not be issuing detainers on individuals unless they clearly meet our defined priorities. … We do not plan on putting additional staff on the ground in Arizona.”

The heck with the law, the Bill of Rights and the reasonable need of the citizens of the United States to be secure. Simply violating the law is no longer a standard for deportation. In Obama’s America, an illegal alien has to meet some murky — and conveniently undefined — “defined priorities.” In an era in which the President, his Attorney General and myriad other members of the Democratic Party have turned flouting the law into business as usual, it is hard to imagine what an illegal alien could do to earn a ticket home. As both Obama and Eric Holder have demonstrated, not even murdering border agents is necessarily enough.

Last week, Obama decided to sidestep Congress and grant extra-Constitutional amnesty to nearly 2 million illegal aliens. This week, he announced that the Feds will step up their efforts to fiddle while the frontier burns. The Supreme Court ruling opened the door for Arizona law enforcement officials to check the status of arrestees if they suspect the arrestees are illegal aliens. Obama slammed it in their faces.

And Obama will be doubling down on his effort to assuage illegal alien “rights” groups by disbanding the seven 287(g) task force agreements with Arizona that allow local law enforcement to enforce immigration law in the absence of Federal availability. That means that every time an illegal is apprehended in Arizona, the police will have to contact the Department of Homeland Security for an immigration status check. Obama has directed his minions to violate the law by refusing to carry out said checks unless the suspect carries a prior felony conviction. Anyone with an IQ higher than Rachel Maddow (that’s a lot of people) will recognize that most illegal aliens don’t earn felony convictions until after they arrive. Therefore, Arizona will either fill its jails to overflowing with illegal aliens or be forced to set them loose to commit more crimes, consume taxpayer-funded social resources and/or vote for Democrats in multiple precincts.

In an effort to punish his political enemies in Arizona and pander to liberal hate groups who demand amnesty for illegal aliens, Obama has decreed that Federal enforcement of existing, albeit underenforced, immigration statutes will essentially cease. Obama decided to stick it to Governor Jan Brewer, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and the good people of Arizona for supporting their State’s effort to pick up the ball deliberately fumbled by the Feds. It’s high time to show Obama the south side of the political border.

      Only in the minds of the far right Sean…only in the eyes of the far Right. Of course, the fact President Obama breathes is enough of a reason for impeachment in the eyes of the Far Right.

      No one with any rational mind states Pres. Obama has gone beyond his powers. The SCOTUS rightfully rejected Arizona’s draconian anti freedom, anti American law, and those immigrants in the US who have every reason to be able to stay in the US have a portal available for citizenship. It’s not automatic, there are requirements, and those requirements are not easy….but they are attainable.

      Deportations during this administration are higher than any other administration. Border security is tighter than any other administration. And now, those who have the most to contribute to our society…the young students and military personnel…thoroughly Americanized…have an avenue to put into our pool their talents and skills.

      So what’s your complaint? That it’s a good thing for America?

        You obviously didn’t see the crew out in front of the White House when this decision was announced. Your ‘Americanized’ youth were out in full force with a Liberal handler aiding and abetting. Guess what they were doing: yapping in Spanish and waving signs written in Spanish. Naturally, some of them had the Mexican flag proudly drawn on their signs. We have laws on the books in order for people to gain legal citizenship. This particular bunch believes that the law doesn’t apply to them because most have been here long enough to attain citizenship, if they wanted to. They are nothing more than the next batch of deadbeats who choose only to raise hell and they need to be tossed right back across the border.

The only reason that those teenage, twenty and thirty something illegals are even still here is because of the complete failure of our governement over these last decades to inforce our laws and protect our borders.

        DavidL, the Supreme Court was established by the constitution as a last resort when the Potus attempts to by pass all the other safeguards that make our country free, and this Potus has done this many times over and over and this is specifically why our forefathers set up the government exactly the way ir is so one man can’t control the government but your president is not content to be our elected Commander and Chief and follow the laws put forth by uor Contsitution, he wants to make the laws for his own Dictatorship. This may work in his Country of birth, but remember this is not Kenya, it is the United Steas Of America and no one here is above the law, not even the president, so with all of the illegal acts done either by Obama or his administration, the blame falls directly on hom and that is why he should be impeached and if you don’t see it the way our forefathers created this system, move to a country where the laws suit you ideas, they are not welcome here since we are still the land of the free, and if anyone attempts to overthrough or way of governing the Constitution states clearly that We The People have the right to defend our laws with whatever force necessary to achieve it.

    I live 2 miles from the border. Since a fence went up in my area, just south of my home, traffic has slowed down considerable. It has not STOPPED, just moved into the mountains. The rest of the United States needs to understand that this great influx, which will only increase now, thanks to obama;’s open door policy for those under 30, is that they do not stay in Arizona. They are coming to you and they take your jobs, they take your health care, they will also steal, rape and plunder. They are desperate people and they have not been raised with the same ethics that Americans have been raised with. Individually, they are decent people, but they have no understanding of law and order. Beware.

His last E.O. should have clarified that for you, You might remember (or you might conveniently forget) that about a year ago he told ICE to stand down and quit the deportation program. You know where he was told to go?

      A fence acts both ways you do realize this. Why do people run the border? The solution is simple…go after those who evade taxes, pay lower than living wages, use unsafe and unfair labor practices..those that hire undocumented aliens. Toss ‘em in the county clink for 60 days (sentences to run without abeyance during any appeal…).

      I guarantee, there will be much more care in hiring legal labor. No jobs for undocumented workers? A significant reason to come here disappears.

      Ask yourself, why hasn’t it been proposed to go after the real criminals…the employers ?

        Does the President have the authority to make “recess appointments?

        During a scheduled recess of Congress, President Obama used the opportunity to make 15 recess appointments to administrative positions that would normally require Senate confirmation.

        The President is quoted as saying, “At a time of economic emergency, two top appointees to the Department of Treasury have been held up for nearly six months,” he said. “I simply cannot allow partisan politics to stand in the way of the basic functioning of government.”

        In Article II, Section 2, Clause 2, of the Constitution, we find that,

        “…and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for…”

        Article II, Section 2, Clause 3, goes on to state,

        The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session.

        According to the Constitution, as quoted, “the President shall have the Power to fill up Vacancies THAT MAY HAPPEN DURING a Recess of the Senate,”

        The Founders did not intend this sentence to serve as a method for the President to get around the authority of the Senate to provide “Advice and Consent” of Presidential Appointments.

        The sentence was put in place for the President to make temporary appointment to key administrative positions when they become vacant during a recess of Congress.

        The vacancies filled by Obama’s ‘recess appointments’, have existed since the President took Office. They did not happen during the “Recess of Congress”.

        The fact that the President does not like “partisan politics” holding up the advancement of his agenda, or that some may be doing so to “score political points”, has no bearing on the subject. The President needs to get over it.

        The fact is, there is NO provision in the Constitution for the President to override the authority or the responsibilities of the Senate. That would have opened the door for a dictatorship, and that was one thing the Founders were attempting to avoid.

        The idea of pointing out the errors of his predecessor does not make the action legal under the Constitution. These appointments, made by President Obama, are a direct and blatant abuse of the Power of his Office, and a willful violation of the Constitution.

        Is this an impeachable offense?

        According to the Constitution, Article II, Section 1, Clause 8,

        Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:–”I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

        Accordingly, the President must take the ‘Oath of Office’ to “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution” to the best of his ability. President Obama has publicly reminded the nation, on several occasions, that he taught Constitutional Law at the University level in Illinois. Therefore, it is safe to assume that the President should be fully aware of the intent of Article II, Section 2, Clause 3.

        Article II, Section 4, states,

        The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

        Article VI, Clause 2, states,

        This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

        Therefore, Article II, Section 2, Clause 3, as part of the Constitution, is Federal Law. Any action that willfully and purposefully violates the Constitution, by using the provision to usurp the Authority of the Senate, is a Federal Offense.

        It is time for the Government to understand that the ‘Powers of Government’ do not lie solely in the three branches of Government. The Constitution provides for the Executive, the Legislative, and the Judicial branches.

        However, under the ninth and tenth amendments, the Constitution also provides for the Several States and the People to be active participants in shaping our Government and legislation

        Therefore, it is part of our civic responsibility to monitor the actions of the individuals elected to Office, and take action when necessary.

        Amendment IX – The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

        Amendment X – The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

        It is time for the President to be introduced to the Power of the People.

        The Constitution points out, in Article I, Section 1, Clause 5,

        The House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.

        Article VI, Clause 3, states,

        The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution!

        Under the Authority of the Constitution, the President must rescind his “Recess Appointments”.

        If the President refuses to act accordingly, then the process of impeachment for the willful and deliberate usurpation of the Authority of the Senate under Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution of the United States should proceed.

Jan Brewer doesn’t take all the illegal aliens they catch, put them on a bus driven by Sheriff Joe and take them to Washington D.C. and dump them off right in front of the White House. Then tell them, ” just walk up to the door and President Obama will take care of you. ” I wonder how long it would be before all the politicians in Washington started yelling for something to be done when they have to wade through millions of illegals to get to their offices?

      Arizona should be the first state to issue bag’em and tag ‘em licenses. The revenues from the licenses should more than offset the lack of Federal funding. A solid stand your ground law would work, replace the ICE folks at the border with a state militia all paid for our of the licensing fees

      Rachel Maddow is the finest and fairest of all the commentators who clearly exhibit their personal political leanings. She is much more even-handed than Bill O’Reilly, Keith Olberman, Ed Schultz, Ann Coldturd, Sean insHannity, or Al Sharpton.

      Maddow makes clear and direct apologies for any misinformation presented by her or her staff—occurences that are very, very rare, as she is most careful. Maddow invites guests from the Right to counter her arguments, without EVER talking over them, as O’Reilly and Hannity do so often. I do watch Faux Noose for a signifigant amount of time—I would gladly, and correctly, wager that I, like most of the thinking people on the Left, listen to much more Right Wing media than vice versa.

I am not sure most people understand what has happen since Obama took office. We are in a depression worst than the one in the 1920′s. That is the truth and it is not Bushes fought.
    Every thing that happens he blames on Bush, the economy, Fast and Furious, I could go on and on. A real Man would stand up and take responsibility, like Reagan did when he was President.

    The Arizona law is not just about illegal immigration. The Arizona law is more than anything else about hispanics.

    If the republicans were so concerned about ‘illegal’ immigrants roaming the streets to Arizona they’d have pushed for a ‘national ID card’, but they didn’t, nor will they.

    Q..- why not a ‘national ID for every American?
    A..- There is no support for a national ID card because it is largely assumed that if you are white, then you must be ‘american’. However, in practice this is what has transpired from the Arizona law and in essence it has ‘created’ / ‘forced’ a form of a national ID on a sector of the population that based on the way they look will always have to prove citizenship. Ironically many of these people’s roots go back to a time when Arizona was not even a State of the Union.

    Maybe Ben Crystal can answer his own question when he states : The heck with the law, the Bill of Rights and the reasonable need of the citizens of the United States to be secured?.

    Aren’t americans of hispanic descend as americans as the ‘other’ americans, and to claim the same Bill of Rights that apparently Ben Crystal feels is reserved for the other ‘americans’?

    Arizona by virtue of this law, singles out a particular group of people by the way their looks alone, regardless of their immigration and/or citizenship status, to have to prove themselves upon demand, hence the ever pressing need for a ‘national ID card can’t be neither denied, nor ignored anylonger.

    My argument is not against our right as a country to secured our borders and to stop ‘illegal’ aliens from setting residence on our soil. The argument is against the manner in which is being done for it fosters deep divisions among the people of the U.S.

    In the meantime Ben Crystal also accuses the Obama administration of ‘flouting’ the law while he, Ben Crystal, advocates denying ‘the other americans’ their constitutional right.

    Probably Ben didn’t read that memo that goes something like this : “the rights denied to others are rights denied to oneself…”

    We should be careful of precedent setting adventures because it might come back to bite our behind.

      The Arizona law, SB1070, IS about illegals ‘invading’ Arizona and living off tax-payer benefits. It IS about the federal government FAILING to enforce U.S.lmmigration laws and allowing illegals to hurt, kill and otherwise damage American citizens living in Arizona.

      Since AZ SB-1070 mirrored U.S. Immigration laws, SCOTUS apparently said the federal government does not have to support and enforce its own laws and the State of Arizona cannot protect itself from foreign invasion–which IS a state’s right under the Constitution.

      I live in Arizona and have lived with, gone to school with and dated Americans of latino descent. I have no problem with legal Americans of any race and nationality. I do have a problem with anyone who is here illegally and, with anyone who is here legally, but prefers to destroy our Constitution and Rule of Law. No one who is here illegally has ANY ‘rights’ in America–no right to education, no right to medical treatment, no right to protest out laws and no right to be here. I suspect you are one of those. Go Home!

          Either you miss the point of my argument or you purposely try to ignore it.
          My argument is not against immigration enforcement. My argument is against establishing a system that will required a ‘certain’ group to prove they are citizens, and/or legal residence thus, by default institutionalizing the ‘nationl ID concept, but only for the target group. Do you follow me so far?
          What would be, then, the criteria use by law enforcement to enquire about a person’s legal status, if not by the color of the skin, and or a particular accent?
          What I propose is that in the name of fairness, and I believe it will happen eventually, for the creation of a ‘National ID Card’ for every citizen of the United States, and not just for one ‘unique’ group of citizens (remember that some hispanics have been here way before any of your ancestors were).
          If you are so concern about illegal immigrants,as it seems you are, then you ought to support the idea for ‘National ID card.

            I did not miss the point of your argument. My point was that until borders are sealed everything else is mute. National ID I have no problem with, ID is required in Arizona. We have a State Issued ID for those who do not drive, looks just like a drivers license. The amount of drugs coming thru our borders is the head of the snake of the huge crime problem we have in Arizona. It is making its way to all States. It is a falsehood to think this porous border only involves Mexicans. The arrests made at the border (those caught and detained) were not only from Mexico. Go to the report from our former Governor Janet Napolitan at DHS. ID as you know is easily made into another underground criminal entity.         Because in essence the Aizona law is mandating proof of citizenship from a group of americans, it is then only fair to ask the other group of americans to proove their citizenship, hence the introduction of a ‘national ID.
        You can’t have one set of laws for one and not for the other. Do you get my’drift’?

          You are missing the point. It is not just and id they have to show, but one proving they are citizens or legal residents; and this is something you don’t have to do, you are not carrying you passport around, but they are.
          How would you feel then, if the same rules were apply to you as it applies to those that by their looks become ‘suspects’ of illegal immigration?. Now you should understand a little better if you had to carry your passport with you at all times just to prove upon demand that you are american.
