Senate Bill Targets Internet Video Streaming

Senate Bill Targets Internet Video Streaming

A new bill being considered by the Senate would make streaming copyrighted material illegal.

“Supporters of this bill claim that all it’s really doing is harmonizing US copyright law’s civil and criminal sections. After all, the rights afforded under copyright law in civil cases cover a list of rights: reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works or perform the work. The rules for criminal infringement only cover reproducing and distributing — but not performing,” read an article on “So, supporters claim, all this does is ‘harmonize’ copyright law and bring the criminal side into line with the civil side by adding ‘performance rights’ to the list of things.”

The wording of S. 978 is problematic, as it could conceivably be used to cover the embedding of YouTube videos and other Web content. The practice of using YouTube to share videos is extremely widespread, a fact displayed by the $1 billion estimated net worth of the Internet’s third most-popular website.

“First of all, despite claims to the contrary, there’s a damn good reason why Congress did not include performance rights as a criminal/felony issue: because who would have thought that it would be a criminal act to perform a work without permission? It could be infringing, but that can be covered by a fine. When we suddenly criminalize a performance, that raises all sorts of questionable issues,” the article read.

“If you embed a YouTube video that turns out to be infringing, and more than 10 people view it because of your link… you could be facing five years in jail.”

If they can’t stop you from spreading the word then I guess they will make you disappear for five yrs.How is that not freedom of speech? If there is some thing posted on the internet that would mean to me that it is public domain does it not?I guess now they will bribe the source of any you tube person to say that what he or she posted was copy written just to get what they feel is insulting to this administration from being spread around.Sounds more like the mob control to me and paying for it with tax payers money.

Folks, Look the more the Government infringes on you – and you let them get away with it. The MORE they will push, if you let them get away with it once but then start with push back, they will just get more aggressive & arrogant then start shoving you.

Look I have said it before and I will say it again, when the Government tells you what you can do and not do, is when Government has oversteped its bounds.
(They work for YOU not YOU work for them.)

Our Government needs a 100% total face lift, as in any of the Congress and of Senate people who have been in longer than 2 term’s all of them need to go.
But please keep in mind – all the aids and Staff people as well as all the Lobbyist as well all need to go.
If a 100% clean sweep is not done soon you will be waking one day in the very near future in a whole new world order.

I just saw a new NC drivers licence last night and on the backside in a nice bold relief is the following rather than a NC state seal, it says; The “North American Union.” Complete with NAU symbol.

Look its all in the works – Yes – We can stop it, by first slowing it down, then derail it 100%. But as I also have noted we will still face a massive Depression, as well I am sure that there will be other ramifications that come with such as uprisings from the Food Stamp / EDB card gang and others who have become dependant on YOUR TAX dollars.

The time for sunshine and lolie pops is over, we are in for a long hard road that will be hell for many years to come. Its going to be that way either way the coin falls.

But if the NWO takes over 100% control your long hard road will be a lot harder and the end result is going to really kill you.
You deside what you want to do, curl back up in that nice little ball and sleep like a baby until you loose your head, as in a loss of your head by removal from your body of what you will then become land fill.

Or will you wake up and push back.

    Its up to you!
