Self-Tied In Knots
CHRISTOPHER DILTS FOR OBAMA FOR AMERICA
The Barack Obama campaign is spewing rhetoric.

Although June is almost upon us and the nominating conventions are still nearly a season away, President Barack Obama’s campaign seems as organized as a hippie music festival about an hour after the bad acid begins circulating. Look at the rhetoric spewing forth from the campaign and note that panic appears to be growing with each tremulous step toward November. Witness, for example, the campaign’s deployment of attacks against Mitt Romney based on his involvement with the private equity group Bain Capital.

According to Obama’s minions and mouthpieces, Romney deserves nothing but scorn for making a part of his pile of money through the often-successful strategies of Bain. Beyond the basic stupidity of suggesting someone suffer for not failing at business, consider the fact that Obama has privately solicited — and kept — donations from the same publicly vilified Bain. At least Romney actually worked for the cash he collected with Bain. Obama has essentially knifed it in the back and charged it for the blade.

Most of Obama’s ventures into the private sector have involved not the finely honed fingers of Adam Smith’s “invisible hand,” but the clumsy fist of Marxist malingering. Desperate to appease the global warming cultists on the far left of the political dial, Obama handed a king’s ransom to so-called “green” companies like Solyndra. Despite a willing lack of serious corporate media examination, Obama’s cronies turned a $500 million taxpayer investment into an industrial epitaph reminiscent of one of those Soviet-era projects (I’m thinking of Trabant).

According to Obama, Romney is a corporatist villain. His efforts to identify and foster growth in strong businesses on behalf of his colleagues and investors at Bain and the many workers at the companies capitalized by Bain were his acts of evil. Meanwhile, Obama’s ham-handed flush of a half-billion dollars in other people’s money on behalf of a tiny handful of millionaire and billionaire cronies in the pursuit of harebrained schemes is the height of economic nobility. According to Obama’s accomplices, we’re supposed to believe it is right and reasonable to take money from the former and hand it to the latter. We’re further supposed to believe that taking money from the former and spending it on yourself is all the more just.

It’s no wonder, then, that the dimwits who serve Obama get a bit tangled in his rhetorical web from time to time. On Tuesday, Obama mouthpiece Jay Carney found himself tied in the Gordian knot of precisely this sort of liberal logic. Asked by an unusually intrepid and insightful reporter (by White House Press Corps standards) to delineate the difference between Romney’s involvement with Bain and Obama’s involvement with Solyndra, Carney proffered:

Look…there, there, there is the…the…difference in that, your overall view of what…huh, your responsibilities are as president and what your view of the economic future is.

And the president believes as he’s made clear that a president’s responsibility is not just to, ah, those who win but those who, for example in a company where ah, there have been layoffs or a company that has gone bankrupt, that we have to ah make sure that those folks have the means to find other employment, that they have the ability to train for other kinds of work and that’s part of the overall responsibility a president has.

I’ll say one thing for Obama and his underlings: Their excuses might be thinner than a crackhead following a 3-pound rock bender, but they are certainly entertaining. If Carney weren’t such a smug, simpering buffoon, I might be sympathetic to his plight. His tortured enunciations — like those above — are a by-product of the Sisyphean task of putting political lyrics to Obama’s discordant economic tunes. Tough break, Jay. You signed up for the gig; now you have to play it.

I’ll reserve my sympathies for those of us who have to foot the bill for Obama’s economic misadventures. After all, we coughed up all that money, and all we got was the incomprehensible transcript.

Ya, like a horde of Trayvon Martins attacking and pulverizing us poor George Zimmermans who then get excoriated for reacting against their assaults. Then, they have the criminal’s premeditated response of quickly calling us racists, terrorists and thugs to deflect attention from our predictable complaint that we were only protecting ourselves.

    • JerryWheelerWroteThis..

And I think you need serious psychiatric care for your bigoted responses of those who disagree with your political ambitions. Everyone votes for the person they choose, because they don’t abide by your choice doesn’t make them the enemy or addicts. Your self-centered opinion is worse than any nazi and I expect at any time you’ll be goose stepping to the beat of a drum. I’ll damn well vote for who I choose, whether it be Obama, Romney or Paul and I do not have to take drugs to do it then when the tally rolls in and your man happens to win then I’ll respect his position in the same manner that you should respect the current presidents position. People like you are the one’s who watch the poor and needy die off and think your watching some kind of sit-com. It makes me sick to even think your a true American.

        THANK…YOU…,…SIR!

JWWT: I don’t care who your Presidential choice is, just vote. As for having respect, a person must EARN it…and that arrogant, anti-American in the Oval Office has done absolutely NOTHING to gain respect from me or anyone else. As a matter of fact, he is the ONLY President I know of who has bent over backwards to gain the contempt of the fine citizens of the United States of America. He will, historically, be known as the most hated and despised president to ever hold office….and you can bank on that.

“the clumsy fist of Marxist malingering”

    Would this be Arne Duncan’s?

  • wandamurline

Use his own words, actions and record against him. All are miserable failures and have cost the tax payers the tune of 878 billion dollars and counting. And in return for our investment, we have gotten nothing, nada, not a darn thing, zilch. How’s that for an investment of the tax payer dollar.

    • Sirian

878? True, but that’s just the “subtotal”. Why not 5.7 trillion – sound better?

      • Kate8

I recently ready that he’s helped the banksters siphon off money to the tune of $15trillion. Now, that has to be more money than is in existence.

But then, the joke is, there is no money. It’s all created out of thin air…digits in a computer. Easy come, easy go. All they have to do is press a button and, poof!, it’s gone… All of it. Yours, mine….

And this is exactly what they are intending to do.

Apparently, the feds had a one hundred year contract with the US, beginning in 1913. So, it’s about up. This is the real reason why they are collapsing everything. It’s the real reason for the “end time” scenarios.

It was all planned this way, from the beginning. What was not planned was that the people wise up to it. So now it’s show-down time.

      • Sirian

        Kate8,
More than likely, has to keep his source of campaign money secure. BTW, in a humorous fashion, Obummer has placed us right at “one light year” further out from economic stability. One light year is equivalent to 5.88 Trillion miles which is very close to the expenditures since he’s been in office. So, Obummer is the “Light Year Man” – are we having fun yet?? :( Uh oh, maybe I should’t have brought that up, they may use it as a campaign slogan – go figure. :(

  • MrJay11

    Ben,

Another bullseye of truth. How the mainstream driveby press are allowed to hold jobs at this point is an embarrassment to the creators of this industry.
Odumbo and Carney are nothing more than empty suits. Pompous imp’s who deserve nothing but contempt.

    • truesoy

      MrJay11,
I can tell you’ve been listening to Rush one too many hours and your brain got fried.
Now, on a different note I must tell you that Ben Crystol, the author of this article, is mostly off target if what he seeks is the truth, although I believe he wrote it with people like you in mind for people like you.
And about Solyndra? well, Solyndra was a George Bush project started in 2006 with taxpayors money(see, Obama was not president yet).
And that is not the only lie from Ben Crystal, but you get the idea, don’t you?

      Sincerely,
      Truesoy

      • Ted Crawford

Nice try truesoy! While the Bush administration did consider loans to Solyndra, none were ever granted!

      • Tommy

Yes Truesoy IF you reallyknow anything about the history ofthe govt handouts to Solyndra you know the Bush admin raised many red flags as to its future success and did NOT grant the massive handouts…… they were ALL done by the Obamanites who IGNORED the warnings and took the photo op…… OH no worries, the left wing pro Obama media has largely ignored it. :-)

      • Mike in MI

        Correction, Tommy,
Solyndra’s top eschelon observed Oblama-lama-ding-dong’s associates (Rezko, Ayers, Acorn, etc.) and the slavering-for-donations Democrat party lusting after a potential run at eternal authority. They made a few accurate assumptions, offerred a large sum, promised kick-backs from any future government grants, waited for the race to be run and their bet to pay off. Solyndra is (was) only one of many.
Their only miscalculation was that Obama pulled so much wealth out of the economy there is not enough free money around (or customer support services and trust of the new technology) to create a demand for their products.
Obama’s glorious ignorance of business and life (added to his megalomania) led him to assume he could snap his finger and bring America to heel, ’cause he said it was so – like ” ‘Let there be light.’, and there was light.” Barack Obama…Ymm,hmm, hmm

      • GregS

Yeah, right. Everything was Bush’s fault, even after almost 4 years into the Obummer Administration. Here we go again with that Bush-dunit card!

      • truesoy

        In response to Ted,

Of course the Bush administration gave millions to Solyndra. , how else do you think the company was established?

        Sincerely,
        Truesoy

      • CJM

Sorry, truesoy, you can’t blame this one on Bush…but, of course, we all know the toddler in the Oval Office is incapable of any wrongdoing since his entire vocabulary consists of: “Me no do it.”

    • Mac159218

Didn’t the CEO of GM say that 7 of every 10 cars produced by Gm is made in CHINA. Yes, he did. He went on to say that they are moving the development and engineering parts of GM to China too. How is that for a slap up side our heads for bailing their overpaid butts out of a jam. I say good riddance to them and to GE who is also moving most of their manufacturing to China. The only problem is that they are using our money to move with. That suxs. Compared to GM and GE the Green junk is a drop in the bucket.

      • CJM

You can now add Ford to the list of manufacturers leaping the seas to China. After the general public got behind Ford as a reward for not accepting the bailout monies and getting the Ford Motor Company sky-rocketing sales, The American public has been rewarded with the closure of a Ford Plant (not sure which one, but it is closing) because Ford has contracted with China to make their cars. Nice, huh!

What’s amazing to me is the fact that the President’s men think that by condemning Bain Capital that this will bring in more Obama votes. There may be mindless people on the left that will fall for that bull, but, they were going to vote for Obama anyway.

    • Allen Crawford

Obama pretty much can count on the following:
      1) The uneducated
      2) The Dependent class
      3) The Perennially disenfranchised
      4) The “I’m waiting for Amnesty” crowd
      5) The career union layoff recipient
      6) The graduate who borrowed 600K for Nubian culinary arts and can’t find work.
      7) The obits:-)

      • Steve E

And 8) Most of the Blacks

      • JimH

We will have to see if Rahm is as good at rallying the Chicago cemetary vote as the Daily’s were.
If only Illinios could secede frome the great state of Chicago.
If he needed to rely on only the eligable voters, Obama may not be able to take Illinios.

      • BradR

Don’t forget the black vote. Polls show 85% support among blacks.

        Don’t forget:
        9. Muslims
        10. The “I only vote for Democrats” crowd.
        11. Hollywood bunch of fruits and nuts.
        12. Gays

      • nc

Allen, if the only opposition the Republicans can offer is “bush-lite” Romney WHY would the 69 million AMERICANS who voted for Obama in 2008 change their vote in 2012. We had that brand of Republican politics for 8 years and I can’t believe any honest adult would give it a good grade! Over 70% of the Americans polled in 2008 failed to approve of the Republican effort!
CHANGE OVER JUST TO GET MITT ROMNEY WHO WANTS TO KILL ALL CAPITAL GAIN TAXES WHICH REPRESENTS 65% OF THE INCOME OF THE 1%. MORE TAX CUTS FOR THE RICH WHEN A MAJORITY OF AMERICANS POLLED DON’T LIKE THE BREAKS THEY ARE ALREADY GETTING! THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE THAT MAY BE A CAMPAIGN MISTAKE!

      • Mac

Mac159218 says: Not all gays… I certainly won’t be voting for him and neither will many of my friends. You’d be surprised how many “gay” conservatives will be voting for Ron Paul this year!

    • eddie47d

Bain is synonymous with Wall Street greed and how they ruined our economy. It could definetely be a major issue since the Republicans refuse to deal with their out of control behavior. As a matter of fact both the Democrats and Republicans do their best to keep crony Capitalism alive and well. I see the companies that Bain took down and dismantled and at huge profits weren’t mentioned but who cares? Right?

    • Nancy in Nebraska

It’s early in the campaign. They’re just throwing s**t at the wall to see what sticks. If this doesn’t work they’ll find something else.

    • eddie47d

Don’t bet on it Brad for you will surely lose! Now if there was an honest analysis of our troubled economy instead of the Obama blame game then the “truth” might hurt. Since everything is so one sided I don’t expect the truth to be known and we can expect more lopsided spin from your side of the aisle.

    • eddie47d

It’s like those petitions below Brad . We know what American mining companies do to the environment and I’m sure China is far more disastrous in claiming economic victory. Regulations keep miners safe and the environment healthy which in the long run is beneficial for everyone. I can’t stop China from having weak regulations and poor safety measures for their citizens but some of us do care here in America. By the way mining has some of the lowest taxes in the nation and maybe you would like Americans to be making those cheap Chinese wages. We in America can do better.

      • Kate8

Ted – Wow! Isn’t it funny how the shills were all late coming onboard this morning, and suddenly, bam, their all here at once.

        Hmmmm. They are sooooo transparent.

It would almost be hysterical if it weren’t so pathetic.

  • Gordon

Sad part of all the rantings is that 0 will be re-elected anyway. You’d better have a really good life-plan for the next 10 years. 2012= Life as we have known it is coming to an end.

    • Kate8

Check this interview out. Why Obama is so dangerous, and who, exactly, is REALLY running the WH.

      This is stunning.

      http://theulstermanreport.com/2012/05/30/white-house-insider-obama-in-serious-trouble-and-that-makes-him-very-dangerous/

      • Mamamia

Well, I checked it out Kate plus 8. Sounds so ligitamate. An interview with no name? Very creative. My favorite part is that Obama hates his wife and he wants to drone strike 25 million americans. Sounds like a crock to me. Anybody can say they had an interview with an WHI. LOL…. you are right…. it was stunning.

      • Kate8

Yep. You are so clever, aren’t you?

I don’t know who this person is, either, but I do know that if I were a WH insider mole, I certainly wouldn’t want to give my name. Would be most hazardous to my health, don’t you think?

You know, I think he sounds credible. In any case, if it weren’t for anonymity, there would be virtually no way for us to get ANY information about what takes place off-camera.

Think what you want. I just pass on what I think is worthwhile. You decide.

      • Kate8

Just as an afterthought, it should be painfully clear by now that any journalist (or whistleblower) who gives his name toast. (I remind you of people like Andrew Breitbart.)

No one is going to sqeal on the WH and survive. They also threaten families…children. Would you give your name?

    • eddie47d

Kate says she doesn’t play the Democrat/Republican game but why would she post an article that says the Clinton MACHINE is at work. Does that mean that Bush didn’t have a MACHINE doing his dirty work? Yes there was an “easy money party” (as stated in video) but the Republicans gained immensely from that easy money and allowed it to happen. Now that would be a wee bit more honest.

      • Kate8

eddie – That’s weird. I didn’t get anything partisan about it at all.

Just because the Clinton machine was mentioned in context with something, does not imply that there is not a Bush machine. Clinton and Bush are part of bigger machines, and they are both part of the same machines!

eddie, you just still don’t get it. But keep trying, there may yet be hope for you. Or not.

  • Dave D.

Allen…i like your list of 7…unfortunately, there are those counting on & getting (?) these to get him re-elected. No. 8 would be voting machine fraud. That is the one I am leary about. We should join Granny’s bandwagon and pray like fools!!! God is THE ONE who can help us and he is bigger than all of this.

    • Allen Crawford

Dave, Your number 8 is spot on! The problem of verifying accurate vote counts from both sides has been removed from caring hands and that is real scary!! Granny! I’m with ya hon! May god guide some honest people to verify and keep an honest tally!

  • http://peresonallibertydigest.. gottaplenty

These comments are right on spot.. Another thing we will see is those votes being counted in Spain from computer powerd voting machines. Those that know the trade , know you can make a computer say anything you want it to. And being counted in Spain , thats so far from home they wont be bothered by anyone looking over thier shoulder. How corrupt can this get? And our own congress and senate sit in silence…

    • http://Aol Glenn Oitzen

That company in Spain is owned by no other than George Soros!!!! Need I say more??

  • Dad

Communism hasn’t worked anywhere yet. so what do you do when you cast your lot with unions and the black panthers?

  • 45caliber

I wonder what would happen to the staffs of both Romney and Oblama if they were tested for drug use – and fired if they were found positive. How many would both have left?

All dogmatic “free traders” support Fascism, Communism, slavery, etc, whether Republicom, Commucrat, Libertarian, Objectivist, Anarchist, Communist, Imbecilist, it does not matter.

No USA patriot of any stripe could legitimately support “free trade”. Want to know why?

Joe – They’ve committed genocide in great numbers, to be sure. But so have lots of other folks. I think the Illuminati crowd has been behind most mass genocide around the world.

In fact, I remember reading awhile back that the Chinese were TOLD to eliminate millions, if they wanted to get the big money and become a formidable world power. They’ve had help at setting up their communist regime, and the elite admire their success at it, and have said so.

Like everything that happens, only a few are behind it. They sit and plan these things out, with absolutely no concern for the people of this planet. They are ice cold. And evil.

In fact, they plan to commit the biggest mass genocide of all….90% of the world’s population. According to prophecy, they come pretty close to succeeding, too. But then, it ain’t over ’til it’s over.

Ben Crystal like most paid talking heads for the conservative side you don’t seem to deal much with the facts, You use phrases like “the clumsy hand of Marist malingering” to describe Obama’s efforts with the economy.
When bush left office we had lost 2.1 million jobs in 2008! Over a million is just two months near the end. That has ended and more private jobs have been added since 2008 than were created from 2001-2008~ ALL THANKS TO THAT MAN WITH THE CLUSY HAND OF MARXIST MALINGERING! WE CAN ONLY WISH THAT BuSH HAD HAD TWO OF THOSE “CLUMSY HANDS” AND MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, HE WOULDN’T HAVE LEFT US THE SECOND WORST ECONOMY IN OUR HISTORY>

THE DOW IS UP ALMOST 100% FROM THE BUSH RECESSION LOW OF 6547! THERE IS THAT ‘CLUMSY HAND” helping the good old USA again!!
The “clumsy hand of Marxist malingering” has greatly lessened the dying of young Americans in foreign wars and the costs of those wars. That “clumsy hand” has protected us from deadly terrorist raids better than the last guy! Right??

President Obama has certainly made mistakes and is hypocritical for criticizing Romney for his time at Bain. However I would point out the criticism of Romney is not that he succeeded in business. It is his actions in conducting his business. For instance one of the ways Romney “worked for the cash he collected” in the case of Dade International was to take control of it with a leveraged buy out. Using money he burrowed to take control of the company and than using the company to pay for his loan. The manner in which he earned his money was by closing down Dade’s plants in Puerto Rico and Miami and laying off hundreds of workers. And in the end Dade International filled for bankruptcy and Bain still got its fee despite helping to tank an entire company and ruining hundreds of lives. Or there are the cases of GS Industries, Stage Stores and American Pad and Paper which followed almost the same scenario. Romney’s company took control in order to improve the company and make them more successful. Instead they simply lay off hundreds sometimes more than 1000 workers and in the end the companies fill for bankruptcy. There may be more cases but those are the ones I know. In each case the involvement of Bain did noting to help. In fact all it did was lead to 1000′s of people losing their jobs. No one is perfect and wanting to make a profit or have your business succeed is not evil. If anything it is encouraging. However if your success is based on laying people off and where your mistakes do not effect you so long as you make a profit then it is no longer a simple matter of business. That is my issue with Mr. Romney. It appears that while he was in charge of Bain Capital the focus on profit was more important then the lives of workers or even the well being of the companies they were meant to help. Because it appears that regardless of the ultimate fate of the companies Bain was supposed to improve, Bain and Mr. Romney still came out if not on top then at least relatively unscathed. Success is not evil or something to be scorned. Success as a corporate business man is also not evil or worthy of scorn. But basing your career on pursuing profit regardless of consequences and where profit itself justifies your actions is something I consider worthy of scorn.

      Jeremy,

Bain Capital is worse than a ‘boiler room’ operation, but a boiler room operation is illegal. Go figure.
Many people, mostly conservatives, mistakenly believe that ‘private enterprise’ is a free for all, whatever goes, goes, and the sky is the limit and therefore there should be no regulations nor constraints to their actions.
I guess these are the same folks that are still keeping a tooth under the pillow in hopes the ‘tooth fairy will one day show up. And no one could tell them otherwise.

      Sincerely,
      Truesoy

Just the fact that Ben Crystal is telling the GOP establishment what they want to hear, is proof that the GOP is in trouble. After all, Ben Crystal is a nobody who thinks he is a somebody, but only to those who have no life. I am watching as the Republicans use their man slave, Ben Crystal, to spew propaganda to further their dreams of grandeur.
