Selenium Can Protect Against Fluoride Toxicity

December 11, 2012 by

Sodium fluoride is added to most American drinking water. American dentists recommend using fluoride toothpaste. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention calls fluoride one of the “ten greatest public health achievements of the 20th Century.”

They don’t tell you it is a poisonous pesticide and industrial waste product. Just a half tube of the flavored toothpastes marketed to children contains enough fluoride to kill them.

Studies have shown fluoride causes tooth and bone fluorosis, increases cancer risk, reduces IQs in children, causes arthritis symptoms and is an endocrine disrupter. A World Health Organization study conducted from 1978-1992 showed that Americans living in areas where drinking water was treated with what the Environmental Protection Agency deemed was “optimal” levels had increased risk of cancer in 23 different areas of the body. Male children exposed to high levels of fluoride may have a 546 percent increased risk of developing osteosarcoma later in life, according research conducted at Harvard.

Chinese researchers have determined that selenium supplementation is a valuable tool against fluoride toxicity. Other research has shown that selenium has halted damage to the liver, kidneys, hearts and brains of lab animals. One study showed that selenium also increased the rate at which fluoride was eliminated from the body.

Supplementation of up to 100 to 200 micrograms is recommended by many natural health professionals. The National Institute of Health’s upper tolerance limit is 400 micrograms.

You should take a selenium supplement, use only non-fluoride toothpastes and mouthwashes, and use filters to remove fluoride from drinking and cooking water to greatly decrease your chances for developing cancer and myriad other diseases.

I used to get terrific cramps in my legs at night. I started taking a daily selenium cap and have not had a cramp since. Glad to know it has other uses too, although they have stopped fluoridating the water here in Calgary.

Where can you buy non fluoride toothpaste? Who makes it and what is it’s trade name???? I have been trying to buy it for years and nobody carries it

    • Vincent

Ken, I’ve been using a company called “Neways” toothpaste for years now; it’s called “Ultrashine Radiance” toothpaste, and it can be ordered through a distributor online. It is free of any and ALL bad substances that are not good for human use and consumption, and all of the products are known for what they DON’T have in them. I don’t know if advertising here is legal, and that’s not truly my intent. However, answering your question would probably give you satisfaction. People STILL don’t know that 97% of the toothpastes (with flouride or not) actually contain a WARNING LABEL on them; delineating if children swallow a “pea size” amount, immediately call your POISON CONTROL CENTER! For whatever it’s worth, try: Good luck with your search!

@Ken. Tom’s of Maine has fluoride- free/natural toothpaste. Try it.

But read the label carefully to make sure that the specific one you are buying does not list fluoride in the ingredients. Tom’s now makes some toothpaste with fluoride.

Use plain baking soda, sprinkle a bit in your clean palm, dip your wet toothbrush in it and brush! It will remove stains and tartar too, just use a soft brush as it can be abrasive if you brush too long or hard. It’s cheap, works, and deodorizes your mouth at the same time, even gets rid of garlic breath if you brush your tongue too.

baking soda and salt are just as effective at cleaning teeth and gums, and for the price of a single tube of flouride paste, you can buy at least 6 months worth of these two items.

I agree with this important article. Most people that know what occurred during the nazi regime, also probably know that the nazis where heavily fluoridating the water inside those detention cities or camps where the Jews were temporarily being housed before they were eventually sent off to work camps and those final death camps. The fluoride at the levels that they were consuming on a daily basis, kept them in a very docile mentality, and easily controlled by the nazis. I have found that most water filters mention that they filter out or take out most toxins in the water, but not the fluorides. Why is that? It seems like it is purposely done like that, to keep most people receiving thief daily doses of the toxin. Interesting. I wonder if any independent water testing personnel have found an increase of this toxin in public water systems over the past couple of years since O’Bummer has been in office. It wouldn’t be a surprise to find if orders were given to do this across America, and to suppress any facts revealing this increase of floride in water inspection reports. That is, to help control the masses of people for the coming takeover of America, via an islamo-marxist regime.

The way I heard it, there is/was a cartel of aluminum producers – I think Dick Cheney was mentioned here – that had to pay to get rid of a very toxic by-product of aluminum smelting, flouride. One day somebody gets this bright idea to put it in the drinking water because it’s supposed to make the teeth stronger, so now they can sell it! Brilliant from a business perspective, disastrous for the people who are force fed it through their drinking water!
Like Nutrasweet, flouride destroys the synaptic connections in the brain – dumbs you down, so it’s a very effective tool for the ‘powers-that-be’ to control the masses.
I got into a heated argument with my dentist one day when I told him why I didn’t want a flouride treatment. The ADA, like the AMA, through the dental and medical schools, along with the FDA and the FTC, program these professionals to poison us with these toxic substances like flouride and pharmaceuticals. Look at how many dentists still wont acknowlege the health problems associated with metal fillings!
Have you ever noticed that the big grocery chains only carry toothpaste with flouride, generally. You have to go to a health food store to get non-flouridated toothpaste. Most toothpastes have sugar in them!
It’s your body, take steps to inform yourself and get healthy!
To the so-called PhD Roulliet, you swear and call people idiots because they question your ‘vaunted expertise’ as a so-called professional. It’s the accumulation over time of toxicity of these extremely harmful chemicals that is the problem you evil programmed robot…

This whole discussion is pure [expletive deleted]. The use of flouride i has long been established as an aid in tooth decay. This is the same nonsense that goes after NutraSweet.. There is thousands of experiments proving its worth, and to say that flouride at those levels is toxic is absolute idiocy. Henri Roulliet, PhD

    • Newspooner

You are extremely incorrect. Fluoride interferes with just about every enzymatic process in the human body. Ingesting it is biological russian roulette, especially longterm. Nutrasweet (aspartame) is also very detrimental to health. If you live conveniently close to Boston, I would be glad to sit down with you for a few hours and go over the biochemistry of fluoride and aspartame toxicity. Be sure to brush up on the basic chemistry of buffers as a prerequisite to our discussion. Surprisingly, I find that many biochemists do not have a very good understanding of the mechanisms and mathematics of buffers and are ill-prepared to study toxicity biochemistry.
