Sebelius confirmation stirs controversy

April 30, 2009 by

Sebelius confirmation stirs controversy The U.S. Senate confirmed Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius as Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services on April 28, but numerous groups continue to voice their opposition.

Sebelius’ pro-choice and sex education stance has put her at odds with Christian and conservative organization across the country such as the American Life League (ALL).

"[The Senate appointed] a woman who, wedded to the Kansas abortion lobby, helped make that state the late-term abortion capital of the world," says ALL president Judie Brown.

She adds, "In her new position as secretary of Health and Human Services, Sebelius will have the power to make the U.S. the abortion capital of the world."

Meanwhile, Concerned Women for America president Wendy Wright told Washington Independent declaring the swine flu health emergency was designed to facilitate Sebelius’ confirmation.

This sentiment was supported by the Family Research Council president Tony Perkins who vowed to continue the fight to ensure that healthcare reform "is not infected with Sebelius’s pro-abortion views."

He added the American people will not accept public funding for abortion and will oppose the violation of conscience rights, which risk driving medical personnel from their fields.

Speaking as a Kansan, it was time for Sebelius to depart (having ‘blessed’ Kansas with monumental budget woes). She and (don’t need no stinkin’ borders) Napolitano have something in common – neither are qualified to do much of anything. As a result, both are extremely ‘well-qualified’ for someone like The Obama [the new King of Useless, Smoke-and-Mirrors Standards]. Washington can have them. As with that @*^&%)( Specter, good riddance!
At first opportunity, Sebelius, Napolitano and Specter (and their DC pals) should be out-sourced, so another country can ‘share’ in their talents (assuming they have any).

This female person is truly accountable for her stance on killing. The most dangerous and deadly place for a child is in his/her mother’s womb. Mother Theresa stated ‘a nation that kills its unborn has truly lost its soul’.

Our current president surrounds himself with individuals who think and act like he does. This tells the entire story without saying one word to those to whom he governs.

The religious right and the neo conservatives represent 12-14% of the population and are completely out of touch with reality….. Thump your bible, but please have the courtesy of leaving those of us who make up the majority, continue to use science and intelligence to further the progress of the human population. The planet has enough extremists, and cooler heads like Napalitano, and Sebelius are needed more now than ever !!!

When we leave acknowledging God and think man can rule with out ackowledging the creator we are on our own. You mention science. Science is if treated truthfully would cause you to follow such examples of Newton etc. They were believers in a creator God. Read history. Evolution for example is not imperical science. It is a philospohy and speculates how things began. The follis record for exampe demonstrates no intermediary examples of evolution. The dates of rock etc. are simply based on the fossil index which is based on the premise that evolution occured over long ages. This is not factual science. It is a believe systeme mixed up with science as were other ancient cultures. Religion mixed up with science. The explosion of knowledge which affacted north Europe began witht the Protestant spiritual revival. England began the industrial revolution. It did so on a Bible believing society. Hence its once greatness. The Bible was the basis of Gt. Britain’s greatness. The USA was firmly based on Christian protestant ideals. Study the early foundations of the US. Men such as Lincoln were Christians too. Pornography drugs etc are relative to your modern beliefs which turn to man’s fallen nature and an arogance that you do not need to heed the warnings of the Bible. As an outsider I think that the US is going to fall. God blessed you in the past but you have turned away from Him just as Israel in the past turned away from their God. Mike

Kansas and Arizona were happy to be rid of those two dunderheads. Napolitano and Sebelius both fit right in with Obama-Chavez-Castro and the rest of his ilk, and his agenda to finish the conversion of this nation into the USSA, at break-neck-speed. Sebelius loves to watch her baby killer friend as he performs his rituals and Napolitano likes to stand at the border and hand out water and maps to the illegals as they enter the US.

Since assuming her ‘duties,’ Sebelius is boasting that Obama’s health plan will ‘save money.’ Bend over, America, here it comes again! When politicians tell us they’re going to save us money, you know what to expect (lies, cost overruns and herds of SHEEP who will line up to vote for lying LOSERS). After saddling Kansas with DEEP DEBT, Sebelius is in NO position to make any claims about saving
America money via Obama’s ‘plan.’ No doubt about it, America. Obama sure can pick LOSERS. His appointees amount to a rogue’s gallery. What we have in the
White House is a man with NO plan, lots of PROMISES and lots of LOSERS to prop up his world-class EGO. What a formula for success!
