What makes Ron Paul weird compared to the rest of them is that he is not a criminal sociopathic warmongering corporatist. Mainstream republicans and democrats are basically the same corporatist lackeys. They only differ in what they pretend to favor. One side pretends to like greens, gays, minorities, immigrants and the other pretends to be for gun rights and against immigration and abortion.

    • debalazo

W, ‘they’ can make out of Ron Paul the devil himself, attach any other polytick labels they want, and even if true, I would still vote for him as long as RP chops off the paw of the Beast from Babylon, the ‘Federal’ ‘Reserve’ Rapine Corporation, and therefore starts the steps to behead the Beast, the Rothschilds themselves. I would, WILL, vote him into the US Presidency; one true Patriot, true Statesman, true Human Being, amidst a heap of political garbage spawned in the sewers of America.

  • meteorlady

Lieberman brilliant? He’s a nut case. Actually I think that Ron Paul would be both parties nightmare. He’s a libertarian, not a Republican and they treated him badly. He has a huge following and will prevail with his honesty and intelligent.

Since when is “weird” a replacement word for highly intelligent.

    • http://none Mike

Since the media wanted to down a conservitive. Mike L.

Also,….Joe Lieberman is a brilliant crooked liar also a pro-Israel and does not care about America’s safety and well being but to bankrupt our national wealth and to cause less secure from our foes’ affairs.

I love TIC and frequently allow my tongue to impale my cheek. If only … if only Ron Paul and the the other weird Texan were younger, what a ticket that that would be. Ooops! Paul the younger is quite viable and John Bolton, his VP. Dream on.
    awl

    • who cares

Your one weird albert w. loescher. as most people from Texas are. Remember the movie broke back mountain? it was based on about Texas. Never the less young paul is from Ky, he’s very weird. Weird they had john bolton in mind a weird cookie.

      • Papa

Rand Paul was born in Pennsylvania, then moved with his parents to San Antonio, Texas at the age of two. He attended Baylor University for three years when he was accepted into the Duke University School of Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in 1988 and completed his residency in 1993.

During his residency Paul met and married a girl from Bowling Green, Kentucky. He moved there with his wife to establish his medical practice, and that’s how Rand Paul, from Texas, wound up in Kentucky.

Texas proudly claims and supports the son of our American hero, Dr. Ron Paul of Sugarland, Texas. While not BORN in Texas, Dr. Ron Paul got here as soon as he could… :)

  • Dave

Ron Paul is THE man. You could say he is libertarian on constitutional issues, but not on moral issues. I think he can be summed up in this way: The overwhelming majority of politicians were lawyers first. Ron Paul was a doctor. There is no comparing the character of Ron Paul to any other politician. I hope his son Rand follows exactly in his footsteps. A Congress of Ron Pauls would be the solution to most of our problems.

  • Dave

Ron Paul simply believes in the Constitution, exactly the way it was intended by the men who wrote it. All 3 branches of the federal government have lost sight of the fact that it is the Constitution that defines the government, not the other way around. Yet a belief in the Constitution is considered the very definition of extreme, even though it has not changed. This should tell you without question how far to the left the government has moved. It is not the government defined by the Constitution. And make no mistake about it, the principles embodied in it are the only thing that separates Americans from the absolute tyranny experienced by much of the rest of the world.

  • http://PersonalLibertyDigest DQuiney

i’m a democrat, but if mr. paul were to be on the ballot for president i would VOTE 4 him. i agree, outlaw the fed, which is illegal, no amnesty, no abortion, and support the 2nd. ammendment.

    • who cares

Now Dquiney is Weird. Knows little or nothing. Republicans you can have Dquiney. We don’t want his dumd ass. he sounds very typical republican don’t know [offensive word removed].

      • debalazo

        “who cares says:
        Now Dquiney is Weird.”

Now the real question here is, Who Cares what ‘who cares says’? Or blubbers? But the other question, “is w.c.s. a troll?”, or, “is w.c.s. a mole?”, or even, “is w.c.s. a sayanim?”: All 3 are good possibilities, the only bad thing would be, this jerk trollo being paid his efforts with unconstitutional FED-IRS tax-robbed dollars, to hunt and harrass on the net true patriots who put America first, second, and third, to undermine them in order to, ultimately at the last instance, favor his latrine in tel aviv.

  • Thomas G Kroger

A lot of money has been spent, and campaign consultants hired, to spread ideas and social ideologies – such as Open Borders, Amnesty and “Free trade” that make genuine conservatives want to vomit. Funny, isn’t it, how these short-sighted corporatist criminals MUST spend $Billions to convince the Sheeple that their schemes and designs are in their interest. Actually, it isn’t funny at all, because the true interests of the American middle class require sound money, a non-interventionist foreign policy, and low taxes. That means abolishing the Fed and the odious Income Tax would be good for the country, but not for the elite.

  • Dan az

The fact that he has never flinched and has held his ground to all the corruption that permeates from washington should be enough to tell you that this is an honest presidential candidate that can be trusted to bring smaller government and to rid all of us from the theft of our coiffures and to bring back the constitution and bill of rights that we have given our blood for.I would not hesitate to vote for him nor should you.

  • Jill

I hope that wiedo runs for president.

  • GaryTraditionalUltraConservative

Congressman Ron Paul is the only true, legitimate genuine traditional Constitution Conservative who is my only choice to vote for President Of The Constitutional Republic Of The United States Of America. All the other politicians are all Anti-Constitution or Evade, Ignore, Contradict, Violate, Break and Dismantle the Constitution snake oil Sam salesmen and saleswomen fakes, frauds, full time professional Liars, crooks, thieves, cheats, ILLEGAL ALIEN Foreign National supporters, advocates, promoters and accomplices to Illegal Immigration, Amnestyholics or Amnesty Addicts, hypocrites, brainwashers, mind controllers and charlatans. Sounds like the Mafia, Cosa Nostra, Bolsheviks and the Soviets all rolled up into one enormous, gigantic, colossal organized political crime syndicate organization or insane assylum psychiatric mental hospital for the criminally insane and criminally immorally depraved perverts. It really best describes most of the U.S. Congress, the Office Of President Of The U.S. or Office Of Foreign Born Political Usurper Of The U.S., the S.C.O.T.U.S. and the black sheep or odd man out called the Federal Reserve.

  • Drowning in NY

Is this not further proof (RP is weird)that it is Conservatism vs the rest of the world? Bring it on, it’s about time this hits the light of day.

  • Mushin

We as Americans have to consider that to turn the tide back to one of
conservatism will be a daunting task – and perhaps nearly impossible.

The rich and powerful along with our esteemed political mouthpieces have done an admirable job in lulling all of us into a false state of security – can we turn the tide? possibly, however it seems unlikely.

To speak out as he has, Mr. Paul certainly has bullocks, as he has been standing for the Constitution and all it’s “weirdness” for quite some time, refuses to sell out his constituents and his country….very weird indeed, as all the other politicians seem to be following a plan – and it smells like the destruction of our country as we know it.

And this very same plan is being followed by all governments worldwide. Weird, yes – very weird. As they say, when something is happening in government and it doesn’t make sense, follow the money and all your questions and suspicions will be answered – however improbable those answers may seem.

These powers will not be satisfied until they have instituted a world-wide governing body.

God Bless you all and God Bless our Country.

  • Papa

Ron Paul might not win a Presidential campaign, but it wouldn’t be from lack of intellect, honesty and/or integrity. Such a lack is what inflicts MOST of the political spectrum, both left and right, and it’s the problem with Washington politics.

I’ll vote for Ron Paul any and every time I see his name on a ballot, no matter what office he decides to run for…

  • BrotherPatriot

We need more weird men like him. Period.

    Constitutionalists…more please.

  • Carlucci

I would always vote for Dr. Ron Paul. He is the only candidate who is and always has been in touch with the American people. Alan Keyes was/is the same. On Capitol Hill, Dr. Paul is known as “Dr. No”. His wife calls him “Dr. Know”. I call him “Dr. No/Know”. I just wish he was a younger man, but thank goodness his son is now in political office. I read an article recently that said the Tea Party needs to take over the GOP. I’d rather see the Libertarian Party do that, as I fear the Tea Party is still getting its bearings, and lets RINOs take advantage of them. The Libertarians are way too smart for that.

  • alan zelek

you all should be ashamed of your selfs read romans 13

  • Carlucci

Alan Zelek, what are you talking about? The founding fathers of this nation based everything they did on the Bible. People have always resisted tyrannical governments since time began. That is how and why America came to be. People were resisting religious persecution in England and wanted to relocate somewhere with no tyranny, so they ended up here. Read your history.

Also, you need to brush up on your spelling and grammar. It is “selves” not “selfs”.

  • s c

The idea that Ron Paul is (or can be) strange is a nonissue, folks. If you want to explore strange/space cadetish/wacko, talk about Pelosi, Reid, Biden, Obummer, or the Clintons (yes, GB, McCain or any so-called ‘Republican’ can be included).
Why be concerned with a personality type when character and true leadership are more important than a simplified approach to what is seen as a personality? THINK. Use what little may be between your ears.
Keep your eye(s) on what is important, people. We live in a country where so many people are self-made victims of our public education abomination that common sense is seen as something that isn’t necessary. We owe it to each other to THINK.

  • http://www.rbarone.remax-nj.net Rosanne

Unfortunately, I was one of thos conservatives who thought Ron Paul different from the mainline conservative candidate. But I have changed my view of this man of character and true values that affect life in our America. If he were to run for President of our great country, I would cast my vote for him. Sometimes enlightenment comes later..it did with me. I followed family tradition as a Democrat and finally I saw the light when I changed parties and ran for public office. The killer instinct of the Democrats taught we a life lesson; it was a blessing to have changed to a party that truly supports life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness according to Judeo-Christian values, and not just talks the talk…for the most part. I hope Ron Paul runs again, so other voters can take a second look and rethink their hope for true leadership with a Conservative.

  • Lea Sullivan

For quite some time I have thought about Ron Paul as the President of the U.S. and I am now ready to vote for him. I have been a Republican for many years, but Paul has leaped ahead of all the rest and goes to the heart of the problems and makes it all clear and offers his plan to solve them. My only fear is that he may not have an opportunity to win…..not enough votes….but as of right now I would be willing to volunteer to work for his campaign and make contributions and put up signs everywhere I am allowed. I was also impressed by his son when I saw him speak. Ron Paul is the only man I would trust and vote for to become President of our Country that I love so much.

There is a rule in the game of pool — that is you must keep one foot on the ground. Now these pointy headed politicians are so wound up in false thinking because they are not grounded — you cannot make a false therom true no matter how many times you adjust it (See: the IRS Code 60,000 pages of confusion and BS that even IRS Officers can’t determine the answers to questions). The truth is very simple and simple to understand
(See: The US Constitution). Ron Paul has both feet on the ground and keeps it simple and easy to understand. The Tea Party is a great idea for a grass roots groundswell; however, I think they are not focused on the armor piercing bullet — too many diverse agendas and may well have some infiltrators to do weird things to disparage them as a sound group.
We need more Ron Paul types in government who take a stand rather than go along to get along (pressure from the oligarchy, money from the lobbyists). God save the Doctor!

    • alrightimhere

The TEA party is not a political party.
We are a good sized group of Americans who keep an eye on all politics. TEA stands for Taxed Enough Already, we’re tired of all forms of government taxing us from all directions.
It’s not our goal to support either political party, it’s just that at this time in history the Republicans (Most of them) are closer to what we beleive in.
If you’re not already part of it or want to know more about it before spouting off what you think we are, find out where and what day/time the TEA party meeting in your town meets and go.

  • Cliff

I think what the MSM has failed to grasp is that once you label someone as “weird” it peeks people’s interests. I look to H. Ross Perot for that.

When it comes time to vote in 2012, he’s got mine, unless he’s not on the ballot then I’m writing in “Ron Paul” for President.

  • Anthony

    Good comments all around.

Ron Paul might get elected / might not (ballot boxes can be rigged)
I do believe one thing – IF he were to be elected, there would be an attempt on his life almost immediately. Just like Reagan.

The Founding Fathers came here to escape Mercantilism
Mercantilism is now kknown as Corporatism.
Religion was also a factor – but not the MAIN reason.

So – you Liberals can bite me… In Obama’s words, why wasn’t this re-distributed?

Myself – I was a staunch Republican for a long long time – me, thinking if there was something important about this Country, they would have taught it to us in “Public School”…… (Me=dufus, back then)

But, thanks to my signing up to the Bob Livingston Letter & Emails, these last four years have been a real eye-opener. Thanks to Bob, Chris and many others here on PL.com It was Bob that gave me a chance to entertain discussions about Thomas J DiLorenzo’s books and that’s when it all exploded for me. After that, my research files have gone on to take up GIGABYTES of Storage space. I’m almost up to a Tera-byte, already.

At least – being a Republican all those years means (to me) not having supported the 50+ years agenda of slow-burn Communism by the DEMS (which is a never-ending scenario I might add).

Our Government/Economics Class in High School told us none of what we discuss here, these days. NONE. And, it was all run by the Left in those days, my friends, almost like a Monopoly or a Dictatorship. You Lefties should be increasingly ashamed of yourselves – but then, most Liberals aren’t exactly real American Patriots anyway… so we know what the response will be.

The Albert Pike Plan (fror 3 World Wars) is in full play right now. And, as I’ve stated before… IF YOU aren’t worth at least $25-Billion, all by yourself, right here-right now, then… you ARE everyone else. If you did your homework and are still against RON PAUL, then maybe you should know that only 300 Family names are listed on those who would be given a free ride on the next train to the New Age of Aquarius. The rest of us are supposedly being left to the dictates of the Georgia Guidestones, or that Dark Planet about to pass by Jupiter within the next year.

All I know is this — what’s in place now, is NOT the answer to our troubles. That means, things need to be changed. The current status quo wiped out, erased. And, something new put in its place. The money paradigm has done a lot of damage. What would you do?

  • Bob

Dr. Ron Paul has had my vote since he ran for President as a Liberterian. He is consistently correct and consise regarding his constitutional outlook regarding government. I want the government he wants and I want him to be the Republic’s leader to insure we get it.

  • JZ

All the governments are CORRUPT! they steal from you in plain sight! They want to destroy the world economies DON”T YA GET IT? Or are you the goyum/Cattle/Sheeple they say you are? Don’t believe me! go to the court house and ask for the C.R.I.S. report yourself! They keep 2 sets of books! one shows the surplus the other shows the deficit and they only show us the fake one with the deficit! They are taxing us from every angle and taking our homes away VIA a 3rd party servicer who doesn’t have the original promissory note or the deed of trust! and believe it or not but your house was paid for at signing! look at House Joint Resolution 192 we are actually the creditors and they’ve led us to believe that we are debtors! and yet we make house payments so we think!
