Sarah Palin Tells Boston To ‘Stand Up And Speak Out’ Against Obama

April 20, 2010 by

Sarah Palin tells Boston to 'stand up and speak out' against Obama Sarah Palin rallied huge crowds against the Barack Obama administration’s policies last week, urging Americans to “vote them out” this November. She was touring with the Tea Party Express which travelled across the country. The events culminated with a Tax Day Tea Party in Washington, D.C., on April 15.

On April 14, as a crowd of several thousand gathered on the Boston Common, Palin urged the audience to fight the Democrats’ policies and take back the government, according to media reports.

"Boston, it’s your turn to stand up and speak out!" she said, before proceeding to criticize President Obama for his healthcare overhaul, his foreign policy which she said was "alienating our allies," and his timid approach to energy independence by allowing only limited oil drilling.

However, in a development that drew attention of many political commentators, Senator Scott Brown (R-Mass.)—whose election last January to the late Senator Ted Kennedy’s seat took most country by surprise—turned down the invitation to attend the event, although his office said he wished the rally success, according to CNN.

Meanwhile, a national poll released on April 14 by CNN/Opinion Research Corp found that some 10 percent of Americans have actively supported the Tea Party movement, and that they are older, better educated and more religious than the general public. ADNFCR-1961-ID-19724112-ADNFCR

Sarah, darling is a socialist. She took windfall profits from taxing Oil companies who were operating on Alaskan soil, and distributed the revenue directly to Alaskans themselves. Socialism uses redistribution actions to reduce inequity in society. Her defense is textbook socialism…..the people of Alaska owned the resources that oil companies were extracting…..Lmao, and she has the nerve to call Obama a socialist… She did this while leaving the big hand out to the feds for her earmark dollars. This woman doesn’t even understand that she is practicing socialism. Too funny. She is no worse than all those on disability taking support who continually bash the government. Or those Milita’s accused of a crime, who want the government defense lawyers, or all those who marched on Washington, and had protection provided by police, and EMT’s, paid for by the government. Hyprocisy knows no bounds.

Eyes, at least I know this is really you. You are your normal self. Someone else posted using your name on another blog, and she was super nice, so we all knew it wasn’t you. lol

    • Palin12

eyes…have you ever had any luck converting a conservative into a liberal?

    • George E

      Eyes,

What an interesting argument. Thanks for making it. I had to think about it for awhile. Here’s my response.

Whether programs like Alaska’s Permanent Fund is socialist or not is a very interesting question. I guess if we think of socialist programs as any that benefit society at large, then I guess this program would qualify. On the other hand, defining socialism that broadly might also cause us to include all other government programs as well, since government gives order to our society overall. So, I think that definition of socialism is probably too broad to be useful in a discussion like this.

At any rate, oil companies apparently agreed up-front to pay the State of Alaska a portion of their revenues for the privilege of operating within the state. Then the state apparently has chosen to send this money directly to its citizens rather than put it into their coffers to be spent by their politicians. This offends me a lot less than politicians taking money from its citizens to pay for programs the citizens don’t get a direct say in, especially when those programs involve taking money or property from a minority to pay for benefits for a large segment of society. The inequity of this across society, along with the inefficiency of the government in providing these programs, causes the costs to be higher than necessary, while those getting the benefits don’t mind since they’re not paying for them. To me, this is closer to what I think of as socialism.

George E – anytime I am lucky enough to come upon one of your comments, I have an enjoyable time reading your words – yours was an excellent reply to a set-up question.

      • TIME

        Oh George,
Will you stop already with the logic.

        Great post dude!

        • George E

Thanks guys. Should I take this as an invitation to shut up or keep on commenting? ha.

          • libertytrain

George E – keep talking – you are a shining example of what is good and decent about the right.

          • George E

            Liberty,

            Wow! I’m speechless…………..thanks.

          • libertytrain

You can be speechless, just don’t stop writing.

          • Palin12

            Keep it comin’ George!

      • eyeswideopen

George, so your type of socialism is ok? Well, when a state distributes money to it’s citizens and then gets back $1.84 from the fed for every dollar it sends in, that is asking the rest of the taxpayers to front their windfall revenue isn’t it? But don’t worry the Blue states are used to funding the Red states, as they really want children to go to school and they think spreading the wealth around to other states is necessary. If you live in a red state maybe you should thank someone in a Blue state for funding your state.

Didn’t Obummer say on the campaign trail “I look out all accross America…and I don’t see Red States or Blue States…I see a United States of America”. Yeah, right!

          • http://naver samurai

He also said that there were 57 states. Gee, where did we get an extra 7 states?

    • Harold Olsen

Hey, Eyes, if Sarah IS a socialist, then you should love her. You lefties are nothing but a bunch of America hating socialists anyway. Isn’t that why you love Obama so much?

    • JeffH

I am patient with stupidity but not with those who are proud of it.

      • Palin12

Jeff, I hear Obummer is campaigning for Boxer today.

        • JeffH

Palin12, there are plenty not-campighnin for her also…the gap between Boxer and everyone else is closing rapidly.

On the heels of a Rasmussen poll suggesting Democrats should worry about Senator Barbara Boxer’s re-election chances, comes worse news from Field for the three term incumbent.

          The raw numbers: Campbell 44/Boxer 43, Fiorina 44/Boxer 45, DeVore 41/Boxer 45, 3.7% Margin of Error. My model’s win percentages: DeVore 29% , Fiorina 44%, and Campbell 55%.

From January to March Field has Boxer going underwater in approval, dropping from +9 to -13. The Republicans were mostly steady: Campbell from +4 to +5, Fiorina held at -2, and DeVore went from -3 to -4, though only 22% of those polled had an opinion of him at all.

            Election 2010: California Senate
California Senate: Boxer’s Support Remains in Low 40s
            Wednesday, April 14, 2010
Incumbent Democrat Barbara Boxer now receives no more than 43% support against any of her top three GOP opponents in her reelection bid for U.S. Senate in California, but they aren’t gaining ground either.
Twenty-two percent (22%) of California voters share a very favorable opinion of Boxer, up slightly from last month. Thirty-six percent (36%) view Boxer very unfavorably.
            http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections2/election_2010/election_2010_senate_elections/california/election_2010_california_senate

          • Palin12

I remember the time Boxer scolded some guy for addressing her as “Mam” and that she had worked soooo hard to be called Senator. These liberals are so arrogant!

        • JeffH

Isn’t that now known as “the kiss of death”.

          • JeffH

Obama might as well have sent Boxer a fish wrpped in newspaper and saved the taxpayers some money.

          • Palin12

It seems Obummer is wasting his time campaigning for ANYONE. Ask Maryland, Massachusetts, and Virginia.

    • Jeep

Socialism advocates either public or direct worker ownership and administration of the means of production and allocation of resources.

Whereas, Marxism seeks the elimination of the notion of private property in order to gain control of the economic “means of production” by taking it from the wealthy for the benefit of the working class. So, obviously this is not the case in Alaska.

However, with the case of Alaska oil revenues, there is a “tax” placed on oil companies to drill and this windfall is distributed equally to each Alaskan resident. Since there is no “public ownership” of oil companies you cannot say this is Socialism. You said, “Socialism uses redistribution actions to reduce inequity in society.” This is not a definition, but a desired effect of Socialist policies. It is a problem with those who choose to throw bricks that they generally live in glass houses, yet refuse to see that for themselves.

This is actually one of the most Constitutional programs I have seen. Roads, police, fire, military, courts, etc. are all very Constitutional because they support all Americans equally. To a strict Constitutionalist actions taken by the govt should benefit all, equally. And, “Permanent Fund” checks are given to each resident equally, no matter how rich or poor.

      • JeffH

Jeep, so true and well said.

        • Jeep

          Jeff, I try, I try…

    • chucknFL

Sarah Palin, former governor of Alaska, distributed funds to the citizens of Alaska because it was required by law there. Resident citizens “own” a piece of their state, unlike the other 49 states. Or 56 states if you were to ask Obama. Feel free to do some research before making your next erroneous statement.

  • s c

First, what is ‘eyes’ complaining about? If Palin was a socialist, this should make ‘eyes’ positively ecstatic. Once again, the galloping HYPOCRISY of these people (and Obummer’s utter arrogance) STINKS!
Second, Scott Brown seems to have made a statement by not attending the Boston Tea Party. Could he be a closet fence-sitter? America does NOT need more Specters. Third, at least Palin attended the event. So what did ‘eyes’ do? Is ‘eyes’ in charge of rounding up dead voters who are not in the Chicago area? ‘Eyes’ needs to be more concerned with making Americ a better place to live. A good start would be to be less of a hypocrite. At least Palin is on speaking terms with FREE SPEECH. I suspect that if people like ‘eyes’ had anything to do with it, it would be ilegal to be a member of any Tea Party.

    • JeffH

Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfils the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things.

  • http://victorbarney@embarqmail.com Victor L Barney

That would be nice, but the Bible does NOT say that is how the anti-messiah(Marxism IS “anti-messiah” according to it’s founder, Karl Marx) will go down in the last days!

  • Bob Marcks

    Re: eyeswideopen,

I’ve been around long enough that I recall conservatives who said, with a straight face, that Bill Buckley and Ronald Reagan were not “true” conservatives.

I also recall a statement by one of the top officers of the John Birch Society was quizzed, by a reporter. Question: “Do you agree with EVERYTHING Robert Welch (head of JBS) says???

Answer: “Hell, I don’t agree with everything my WIFE says!!

    • Dr. Mabuse

Good post Bob, I’ve also been around long enough to recall Buckley being called out as a CIA shill and Reagan plugging 20 Mule Team Borax. Personally, I don’t agree with half of the stuff my significant other says… LOL !!

  • JeffH

ASK YOURSELF BUT ONE QUESTION, ARE YOU PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN?
    http://www.americans-speak.com/

    • Dr. Mabuse

      Close, but no cigar…
      The question(s) are:
Has your government (whether they claimed to be Liberal or Conservative) ever lied to you?
If your answer is yes, then how do you deal with a liar?
If your answer is no, then you’re suffering from a serious neurochemical disorder and you should seek help immediately.

      • Jeep

Is there a doctor in the house? :)

Jeff, I’m very proud to be an American. Doc, yes my government has lied to me. Especially the one currently residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue!

        • TIME

          Samurai, Jeff & Doc,
I feel that our government has been telling lies for a very long time, now the lies are so big with our present admin that I don’t even know what to say it is now, what comes after a BIG LIE?

We need TRUTH from everyone, all elected officials need to be bound to TRUTH.

If they lie they get tossed ASAP.

        • JeffH

samuri, I know your background now and will always keep my American pride, thanks to you and millions of others that aren’t afraid to admit their patriotism. Look into my eyes and all anyone would see is red, white and blue.
It’s obvious that we have been lied to, probably at least as long as I’ve been alive. Eventually lies always catch up to the liars. It doesn’t change my love for my country though.

          • http://naver samurai

Thanks for thos comments Jeff. Same to you for all you have done. I don’t hate my country either, I just would like to see it get back to the ways we were founded. The “Common Sense” principles that make America great and not the lying ways of the liberals and democrats in office.

  • Betty

Oh,how I wish Sarah Palin would shut up! Sarah go home and take care of your house! Stop throwing stones and spreading hate!

    • JeffH

How many McDonald’s gift certificates would it take to sway a lot of Americans to pledge to never publicly criticize the President?

      • s c

JeffH, in the Detroit area, it doesn’t require anything that comes from McDonald’s. All it takes is for the locals to think they have access to ‘Obummer’s stash.’ They’ll line up like lemmings (or sheep), thinking they’ve won the lottery.
I can understand how people can be naive, but when they work at being spectacularly STUPID, that’s an entirely different matter. Then again, I guess that’s a fitting way to describe most of Obummer’s supporters [they're spectacularly STUPID].

        • JeffH

Ohhhh Boooyyyy! Do I like those words. I’m still laughing!

    • JeffH

Palin loves America more than any other country in this world, and, exactly for this reason, She has the right to criticize Obama perpetually.

      • Betty

Really! Then why dosen’t she tell the truth some of the time?

        • JeffH

Hate no one; hate their vices, not themselves.

    • Palin12

        Palin12, very good.

    • http://naver samurai

Betty, if her giving speeches about how we should kick “Osama” and the democrats out of office is hate, more power to Sarah! If telling America to wake up from this dream of “Change” and get back to the ways of our founding fathers is hate, more power to Sarah! Let’s rekindle the spirit of America! Support your local TEA PARTY now!

  • http://gmail i41

Because liberal socialist democrats always have problems with the truth, and if someone dismantles their beleifs and theories. As for the comment about Alaska getting money fronm the oil companies. That is also called ingrees and egress fee, citizen can charge the same thing for crossing your property, unless that will stop, with odumazz and his moron democrat group of Congresspersons, making it illegal to own and have property rights. Giving fee money back to the state’s citizens, that is way better, than taking our tax money and giving it federal government, who dispenses it to non citizens, foreign countries and foreign students that come over to country illegal or not, our engineering schools educate muslim terrotists, to learn how to destroy us. Make the sorry bastards pay double the out of state rates. But you know all lib democrats would say that is so not nice and unfair to the oil rich spoilt camel humpers.

    • Betty

The Republicans are such poor losers. Need I say more?
I believe some of the terroists were educated while the Republicans were in control of our government.

      • JeffH

Hate or hatred is an emotion of intense revulsion, distaste, enmity, or antipathy for a person, thing, or phenomenon; a desire to avoid restricts, remove, or destroy its object. It is an obsessive dislike accompanied by restraint and character. The emotion of hate is a feeling of dislike so strong that it demands action. It also means to dislike intensely; feel antipathy or aversion towards something.

      • http://naver samurai

Well, Betty, what about the ones that were killing Americans (civilians and military) around the world when Clinton and Carter were in office? Does this mean that they were educated when the loony liberals were in office?

  • Cherish

Betty, you scare me. You have obviously not educated yourself well on many issues – you speak without having anything to back up what you say. It’s people like you that are scary because they go to the polls without being educated. Your ability to vote is as dangerous as any terrorist.

  • Allan

It is very simple. Liberals don’t want conservatives to assemble, and don’t want them to speak. When liberals are out protesting wars, or the IMF, or companies they want out of business, or the envirnmental villain of the week, THAT is “OK”. When conservatives, who don’t often publicly protest, decide to counter what they consider damage to their Constitution and basic way of life, THAT is “NOT OK”. The problem for liberals is that they are used to conservatives being quiet and tolerant of dissent. Now, the tables are turned, and for good reason. It takes moral strength and courage to be a conservative and not hide behind political correctness in all things. Conservatives, be very proud of yourselves. You inspire me.

    • s c

A little more needs to be added to your comments, Allan. Conservatives have stood by and endured childish, self-serving, mind-numbed crap from progressives for far too long. Over the years, the MEDIA has used this silence to sell America a false bill of goods. We’re supposed to think that everything we see on TV and hear on the radio is a FACT. We’re supposed to think only a progressive can ‘care’ about anything, only a progressive can take to the streets, and only a progressive can have an opinion that matters.
So much for the media, AND SO MUCH FOR PROGRESSIVES. The pendulum swings BOTH ways, and progressives are more than outraged that the pendulum is swinging AWAY from them. Progressives have proven that they are more than willing to be brainwashed. Conservatives are tired of being expected to swallow whatever crap is tossed our way by those who manage to go to Washington. We’re tired of sold-out hacks in schools, state legislatures, presidential advisors, on TV, in newspapers and on the radio (other than AM).
Payback is going to be interesting. Progressives had their chance. They’ve used, abused and manipulated everything they touched.
And they have the brass to wonder why we’re so rightly @#**$^ off!

  • American liberal

YouTube, Sarah Palin and witchcraft….as usual you rightys let a nutcase sway you… She’s. An idiot… Which is why she has so many rightwing sheep to follow her..

      Liberal,

I’m sure you’ve been asked and responded before, but I don’t recall reading your response. Can you tell me why you think Sarah is an idiot?

      • Palin12

Because he said so, that’s why!

        • George E

I doubted there was any real substance to support the comment. That’s why I asked.

Sarah Palin, get a life and stop ripping people off, you’re making Millions $$$$ going around and giving speeches which you make no sense at all.
you’re just full of hot air, that’s why people can’t get ahead because of people like you, just making millions $$$$ when others that you think you’re helping is making peanuts.

John MP; I sense your not able to deal with a strong woman, as your post displays this quite clearly.
As well that your envious of a woman that makes money too!

Man she sure has bent many a Progressive Democrat & Republicans crank, then again thats not all that hard to do when your exposed as the real whack jobs that you progressives are when you make such outlandish statments.

I bet you don’t like girls, thats the real problem.
I recall a group of special people just like you that said poor Bill Clinton, all he was doing was working hard in his office when nasty little Monica made him have sex with him.
Yea – sure she did, and Bill never lied, so your case is so solid.
I mean the case where your living the LIE babay.

Now I could be wrong, I don’t think so but Ms. Palien has more ability to be a President than The Twinkie BarryO will ever have.
But you just keep living the LIE John MP and some day when your all grown up, oh you will be the same sad little person you are now.

    • http://naver samurai

John, John, John, when are you going to get rid of that 40 ounce of koolaid that you have so obviously been drinking? Sarah may be making money from her books, but what about Bill “The womanizer” Clinton? Didn’t he make lots of money from booksales and speeches after he left office in 2000? Sarah hasn’t caught up to them yet. How doesn’t she make sense? She makes more sense than the “Terrorist” we have in the White House now. She has assembled a staff that helps her learn issues and is more knowledgeable than 3 years ago. Unfortunately, the neglected people of America are to. Just too late. At least Sarah writes her own speeches and doesn’t use a teleprompter. If you are going to post something, please make sure you have the sources to back it up and enter something worth while to read.

      • TIME

        Samurai,
Thats a great point, Bill Clinton has made just a mear $190 million dollars off his books and speaches in the last 10 years, mind you thats what he has after tax’s.
Yet we the American Tax paying people are still paying for his protection, as well his office the most expensive ever, let alone his full pay and all benifits.
If he had any class at all he would cover his own cost and send back the benifit package and pay to the US people.

I don’t say that due to envy, I say that due to his out spoken backing of BarryO’s and all his complaints of million dollar pay packages. Kind of a double standard factor by Bill Clinton.

      • JeffH

It seems to me that BO has made millions admitting that “I chose my friends carefully” then goes on to explain his affinity for Marxists.

““To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully,” the Democratic presidential candidate wrote in his memoir, “Dreams From My Father.” “The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists.”

  • eddie47d

Time,Your trying to score points on a lopsided comment. Both Bush’s are millionaires and all get the same protection and benefits. Including Carter. Richard Nixon went into office worth about $400,000 and left a multi-millionaire,although Presidents weren’t supposed to make money on the side while in office.

    • s c

Big Ed, since you seem to be so very concerned about scummy elected types who get “rich” in Washington at our expense, you need to ask yourself a question and then answer it and act on it. That question deals with ONE idea. Are you ready for it? Here it comes, Big Ed.
HOU MUCH IS OBUMMER WORTH, AND HOW DID HE GET THAT WAY SO FAST? The rest is up to you, Big Ed. I’m sure you’ll do the right thing. RIGHT?

  • eddie47d

I think the people of Boston should stand up to Sarah Palin and reject her loose comments since some are close to slander and treason. It’s fine to be folksey but she need to be more informative. She’s more fire than fact.

    • JeffH

Based on that premise alone, Palin would then make a perfect president.

    • http://naver samurai

Well, what does Boston really know? They voted for “Osama” and for the Kennedys. A family that got rich from illegal sales of alcohol, Joe Kennedy being a Nazi sympathizer, no chance at having the IRS do an audit on them to pay their back taxes, Ted Kennedy surviving a car accident and going back to save the girl that was with him, their mafia connections, etc. Gee it sounds to me that Sarah is the only one there that has class and has, at least, earned the right to be called an American.
