Sarah Palin Says She’s Considering U.S. Senate Run In 2014

WASHINGTON, (UPI) —  Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said she is thinking about running for the U.S. Senate in 2014.

The 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee told a radio audience that supporters are asking her to consider challenging Sen. Mark Begich, a Democrat, for Alaska’s open Senate seat, The Hill reported.

Palin said she has a “heart for service” and would consider returning to politics if she could “help the cause.”

Alaska’s Republican Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell and 2010 GOP nominee Joe Miller have both announced they will challenge Begich.

A spokesman for the National Republican Senatorial committee told Politico that the panel will meet “with any Alaskan interested in challenging Mark Begich.”

Palin stressed the importance of getting “new blood” into politics when she was a guest on Sean Hannity’s radio show Tuesday.

“Ted Cruz needs reinforcements,” she said referring to the conservative freshman senator from Texas.

Palin said she won’t stop until we have a government that works for the average American and not against them.

COME ON SARAH RUN. WE NEED ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET. GOOD HELP THAT IS. IN UNITY THERE IS STRENGTH.

    • Robbie

And the late night comedy folks need a boost too. Sarah will fulfill that as she did last time during the GOP clown parade.

      • Warrior

In which you are part of. Comforting, isn’t it?

        • Robbie

Now that you mention it, yes.

I hope she runs – I would vote for her if I could.

We need some common sense in the senate – people who will pin the tail on donkeys like shmoo-ster & the reed

          • Robbie

Common sense indeed. Palin once said that she could always get her way as mayor by wearing a push up bra!

It just gives her another position to resign from when money from somewhere else is flashed before her nose.

    God help the animals!

Please “Just Do It!”. I trust Sarah more than 95% of the current inhabitants of the “country club” formerly known as the “US Senate”.

And in 2016 the choice will be: Michelle, Hillary or Sarah for President. Let’s see, we have a moocher, a liar and the lady who is not the brightest tool in the tool shed. The moocher will spend us into oblivion, the liar will continue lying and the ‘ stupid lady’ will speak her mind. I’ll go with the stupid one every time – Stupid can be fixed, but immoral is immoral and stupid people are not usually bright enough to be either devious or immoral, when they say something they mean it and in a jam they are ALWAYS the first to assist. Sarah for me anytime. For the people and the Country, not the users and abusers!

      Michelle who? Malkin or Bachmann?

  • Harold Olsen

I’m not really surprised that she may run for the Senate. I actually thought, though, that she might run for John McCain’s senate seat. Supposedly, he is retiring when his current term ends. I’ll believe that when I see it. Palin bought a house in his state a few years ago and I thought it was so she could be eligible to run their.
