San Diego Schools Set To Indoctrinate Students Against ‘Stand Your Ground’ Laws, Self Reliance

The San Diego Unified School District will essentially require public school students to keep talking about the Trayvon Martin self-defense shooting this fall, following a July 30 school board vote ordering superintendent Cindy Marten to “initiate dialogues among middle and high school students across the district concerning the Trayvon Martin case.”

In addition to requiring students to “speak honestly about their identification with Trayvon Martin’s story, including feelings of fear, anger, and skepticism that they will live in a just society as they prepare for the future,” the board also invites them to “speak honestly about ‘Stand Your Ground’ laws that could give one person an unfair advantage over another.”

Why don’t they just go ahead and advance-write the script for these dialogues and tell everyone in the 132,000-student district what to think?

According to The College Fix, board member Marne Foster said she and her three sons, along with the other students in California’s second-largest school district, “are still living in a time of Emmitt Till.”

Here’s an excerpt from the board’s resolution outlining the aims of the dialog program:

The dialogue with District middle and high school students would provide opportunity for the following to occur:

  • Allow students to speak honestly about their identification with Trayvon Martin’s story, including feelings of fear, anger and skepticism that they will live in a just society as they prepare for the future.

  • Allow students to speak honestly about the world view that prompted George Zimmerman to confront Trayvon Martin.

  • Help students develop perspectives and strategies to channel their feelings about Trayvon Martin into positive work for themselves and the larger community.

  • Allow students to speak honestly about the “Stand Your Ground” laws that could give one person an unfair advantage over another and the pros and cons of their perceptions.

  • Help students develop perspectives and strategies to channel their feelings when confronted by others in an authoritative manner.

  • Students will discuss “The Single Stories” of Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman and identify other diverse stories and their impact on the American public that speak of the trial.

  • Students will discuss the decisions that George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin chose to operate out of and how that could have been done differently.

Hapless students of the San Diego Unified School District: martyrs and victims in training.

Ben Bullard

Reconciling the concept of individual sovereignty with conscientious participation in the modern American political process is a continuing preoccupation for staff writer Ben Bullard. A former community newspaper writer, Bullard has closely observed the manner in which well-meaning small-town politicians and policy makers often accept, unthinkingly, their increasingly marginal role in shaping the quality of their own lives, as well as those of the people whom they serve. He argues that American public policy is plagued by inscrutable and corrupt motives on a national scale, a fundamental problem which individuals, families and communities must strive to solve. This, he argues, can be achieved only as Americans rediscover the principal role each citizen plays in enriching the welfare of our Republic.

Anyone remember Holder’s speech, back in his big afro days, about brainwashing kids to hate guns? We’ve elected an entire administration of brainwashing communists, hellbent on destroying our nation anyway they can. How high does the scheme to get rid of the 2nd Amendment really go? How widespread is the plan to rid this nation of its sovereignty? We’re in deep trouble here, folks, and we’d better start realizing it or our children will never experience freedom for themselves. How far will we be willing to go to restore this Republic? Wake up, America, wake up.

Those are the ones I fear most for Ranchman, our children and grandchildren. It sends a shiver up my spine every time I consider what might be lying in wait for them in the future. People need to shake loose their blinders and recognize the scope of this problem before it’s way too late.

      • Woodster

        Sorry Alan…it already is.

        • Alan

I tend to agree Woodster. I was simply trying to maintain a positive outlook while realizing this darkness has already permeated the entire country.

Too bad you Michelle Obama’s 1995 speech on “Ending Middle Class Whiteness” and “Demographic Justice” before they pulled it off the Internet in March 2008. Little hint – it goes farther than you think. She DOES have a FINAL SOLUTION for the problem.

Watch out for the UN treaties being proposed. Not just a national registry for small firearms, but a global one manadated by the UN. The beast has risen, being given power by men.

“An unfair advantage over another”??? What the hell are they talking about??? Does that mean that while someone is beating us to death we shouldn’t shoot them because of the “Unfair advantage” of having a gun available to do so??? These people are absolutely insane, totally lacking in common sense!

    Can you say “Major Psy-Op?”
Can you say “Welcome to MKUltra?”

And then at the end of the day teach them how to redecorate their homes and hang curtains and what colors are the most appropriate. So they can be as Gay as they possibly can be.

USA is fast becoming the hypocrite society that Rome was before the papacy took over then it shifted into high gear! Children are being encouraged to stab you in the back instead of confront issues. The hypocrisy of this tattle tale society is very evident today. Soon saying anything about anybody will get you arrested if it “hurts their feelings or self esteem” Gag, cough puke! Especially if you say it to their face like a human should!

  • David Wallace

I see they’re parroting the “Zimmerman confronted Martin” falsehood spread by the MSM. Maybe they should check their facts before setting policy. I’m alo surprised how many think a victim having an advantage over their attacker is somehow unfair. “Hey that’s not fair having a gun ’cause now it harder for me to mug you!”

California apparently has a large population of doped-up adults whose main concern is getting highed-up and not worrying about responsibility most adults accept without hesitation. It figures weed is their largest cash crop. Think back to colonial times, and peyote. This is how we got this country from the Indians, they had their peace pipes and peyote. Now, the government is stealing from it’s own citizens, being the suckers they are. Maybe the hospitals there can close, as the citizens can all just build a fire and dance around it while chanting to heal every illness…….except stupidity.

With any luck that big earthquake will come and put California where it belongs, in the bottom of the Pacific ocean.

        I hope not… I can’t swim like I used to.

Since 1850 when the U.S. began adopting the “Prussian Model,” the government-owned and politician-managed public school system has been solely for the purpose of raising young people to become pliable servants of the state. Eric Holder has called for this kind of training when it comes to the private ownership and use of firearms in the past.

The question arises as to why any patriot would still be sending his child to any of the public schools. Take over your child’s education and starve the beast…

  • TexRancher

Will they teach students that Martin was a drug using thief and thug? Will they teach them that turning and running can get them stabbed or shot in the back? Maybe they should be teaching them that with proper processing ILLEGALS and muslims are better than Miracle Growth…….

  • lokiswife

Will they tell the kids that Trayvon was walking back to his uncle’s apartment with a bottle of Arizona Watermelon drink and a bag of Skittles which mixed with dextromethorpan cough syrup makes a drink that gets you high and makes you mean and aggressive? Will they tell the truth about Trayvon’s messed up childhood and how he was passed around between his parents and finally dumped on his uncle? Will they tell the truth about Trayvon’s messed up childhood and teen years and quit portraying him as the angelic 12 year old in the early photo, show his updated photo and postings from Facebook and talk about why he was kicked out of school?

    • jag

Do u mean tell the truth, na! They don’t know How!

    • hatakah

NOT DXM cough syrup. The CODEINE stuff is what they use to make “drank.” His liver damage proved he was addicted to the stuff.

  • hardh8

Stupid people of America, stand up and stand together before it’s too late.

  • jag

Hate to b the 1 to tell u……IT IS TOO LATE, THE DEMO’S ARE TEARING AMERICA APART! STARTING WITH BRAINWASHING IN SCHOOLS AND HERES THE PROOf,

  • Lerojist

Our country has been dumbed down since the 1960’s, and the Civil Rights Act, giving people license to do anything, AND most important when the schools took out prayer.

God and family, are the roots of a loving, civilized society. Since the 1960’s divorce, drugs, falling away from God’s Word, many ungodly things have taken place. Is it any wonder we’re having trouble with our youth?

    • wavesofgrain

You are right, Lerojist. Another travesty was allowing unionization of public employees. The plummetting SAT scores are parallel with the implementation of Unions. They answer to their Union bosses, not the taxpayers.

  • jaybird

I think they should show a video of the trial before they have a discussion so the students know the truth and tell them he was cleared by FBI and was not charged at first until some haters got involved.

The Emmitt Till story is totally different from the Zimmerman/Martin case.
The Till story was racial, just because he whistled at a white woman, there was no reason to torture him and then kill him. A little overboard in my opinion, but they did things like that back then. Forty years ago 4 in a car whistled at me and made comments while I was walking to store one evening, I said a few ugly things back and ran to the store and made sure they were gone before heading back home.

    • ChuckS123

The media lies and distorts a lot, so are you sure you’ve heard the real story on Till? Maybe they did, but they deceive so often, you might be deceived on this case.

  • Johnbraavo

Maybe before they spend time on this they should teach them how to read and write.

And you wonder why the products of our school systems are unprepared, unskilled, unqualified, cannot spell, etc, etc. They are more concerned with selling Obamacare to parents, stirring racial controversy and social justice. Schools should NOT be involved with political propaganda!!!!!!!!!
