Yep__ I put the video on my little bloggy thing, a few months ago__Ronald Reagan was so right and socialized medicine is the very thing we were warned about and now is unfolding before our very eyes__I’m not sure who said this, but I’ll repeat it anyway,
“FREEDOM IS EASIER TO DEFEND, THAN TO REGAIN ONCE LOST!__

  • john smith

Some people fear and others instill fear. I am happy to be neither. I hope that Reagan was not both.
Capitalism is not all good, and socialism is not all bad.

    • http://www.americairemember.com angel-wanna-be

      Indecision breeds nothing!

    • s c

‘John Smith,’ if you haven’t figured it out yet, capitalism has been FRAMED by those who hate freedom, love treason, have used diabolical tactics to manipulate and control our “leaders” for many generations and seek absolute control of the entire world.
As for socialism, if you leave that door open, it’s just a matter of time until you get an Obummer and a Motormouth Biden in the White House. Can’t you see these losers for the useful idiots they are?
Obummer’s socialistic, communistic and fascistic healthcare will destroy America. Socialism, communism and fascism are not mere words. They are concepts that have been tried, and THEY DO NOT WORK.
You need to take a hard look at what you believe – and how you got that way. You sound like you could be persuaded to wink at and then bless Obummer’s “hope, change and transparent” administration. For your sake, I hope I’m wrong.

      • Skip None

So all of those lobbiest that are pumping millions of dallars into the Republcan campaign pockets are socialist? After all they are the ones controling our leaders.

        • s c

Skippy, you do not seem to have a clue, so I’ll explain it to you. Republicans AND Democrats sold out long ago. WE [Americans] have been caught in the middle.
It is OUR responsibility to recognize EVERY slimer, two-legged rat and douchebag who shows up in Washington. Apparently, you think we’re still living in the ‘good old days,’ when one party or the other had a few decent people left. That day is long gone.
When you’re caught in a system where being held hostage is the best you can expect, you 1) learn to live with it, or you 2) do what you have to do to make the system WORK.
Your way leads to self-destruction and no freedom.
I can only hope that you don’t worship the likes of saul alinsky, lenin, marx, hitler or any other certified freedom-hater. At the moment, I have no reason to believe that you ever think twice about anything. Stop watching the prostitute media. Read a real newspaper. Tell your “friends” to get a real education. Stay away from most colleges and universities. Re-read the Constitution, and recognize bs for what it is. You deserve freedom. You will NOT like what Comrade Obummer is selling.

          • Skip None

SC, who did they sell out to? You are so so paranoid from the crazy propaganda you believe that you can’t see the forest for the trees. It’s all about being the party in control and money. Why would the government want to do away with capitolism? That’s how they get their campaign money. Coorperations like the big insurance companies give our congress people millions to either pass or not pass bills based on how it will affect their business. If capitolism is gone these companies will no longer have the money to bribe our politicians with.

          • cheekylady

Skip, you answered your own question… they sold out to Lobbists or in your words “Coorperations like the big insurance companies”. Is that just propaganda too?

      • z

Right, that’s why England, Japan, Canada, France, Germany are all under dictators with ruined economies. There must be a direct correlation between giving out medical insurance and the apocalypse.

  • Dr Mark

Isn’t reagan theman who created Economy based on OPM,=other People Money, and Ran the Highest Deficit of all presidents before and after.
I am getting sick of all polititions who are Ideologue. They made politics like a religous Dogma,No matter how harmful to the 95% of the citizens. but the Political Dogma of the 20/21 Century has a difference, its fed by the $ of the corporation, The American People LOST. Trillion$s on wars, they asy OK,Horah. and only few Billions for Health Care, Sovcila Security, better Education..NO this deficiots?
I wish he woukd have been here 2000-2009 to praise America’s capitalism, Run amuk.
    Yes, Mr Reagan
I wish we cance all Parties, and We elect people like us, Americans,Period

    • s c

Dr? Frankly, I find that VERY hard to believe. IF you are one, please find a better way to express yourself. For now, you come across like certain ‘highly-paid broadcast (TV) professionals’ who stutter and dance around and make themselves sound like someone who never learned how to use the English language.
Kindly try to appreciate what I’m saying. I won’t be the only one to make this observation.

    • http://www.personalliberty.com mtbwright

“I wish we cance all Parties, and We elect people like us, Americans,Period”

A friend of mine, an ultra liberal of which I am not, in a political discussion said let’s just wipe out the government and start over – who’s idea are we going to take mine or yours?
Dr. not sure which side of fence you are on and you have to be on one side or the other or your voice isn’t worth hearing.
Remember we aren’t standing still and we have to go forward.

    • Skip None

The problem is people vote for a party and not a person. Those on here that are republicans will vote a republican in repeatedly no matter how much of a bone head he may be. There are Democrats that will do the same. Or not vote for the better person because they are a ” Liberal” Our politicians don’t do things that are good for the country, they do things that will get them re-elected. We need term limits for Congress. We also need them to stop giving our money away. Typically Democrats want to give it to the poor which causes them to think they don’t have to provide for themself. Republicans typically look out for the rich and make sure the rich don’t have to pay their fair share and have lots of tax shelters and loop holes. Once the middle class stands up for it’s self and demands action maybe we can get past this. We kick them all out no matter what their party and keep doing it, plus add term limits maybe wecan actually get plans past that truley bennefit the country and the people.
      Throw the BUMS OUT!

  • Skip None

I thought Ronald Reagan was dead

    • AZ Man

He is dead. Passed away several years ago. Still love that man.

  • Skip None

There are solutions to the Health care problem. However each side is trying so hard to cater to the people that get them elected only a few will bennefit no matter what is decided.
1 we need tort reform. Stop the stupid lawsuites from people only seeking to get rich quick.
2 Let them sell heath insurance like they do car insurance and make the companies compete for our business.
3 Set a public form of health insurance for people that lose their coverage through no fault of their own. Must have rules attached though. First you pay a for it. Even if it’s like 1% of your weekly income. Second, you must have had insurance for at least a year before before you can sign up for the government option. Third, you can only have the government plan for a maximum of 2 years. Fourth, if you choose to decline insurance you also give up your right for health care. The hospitals have the right to refuse you care if you can not pay.
We need plans the bennefit those that need help, not those that want a free ride through life. It’s time our government steps up and provides help for those of us that go to work, and pay taxes insteadof giving it all away to the lazy poor that don’t want to provide for themself and the super rich that don’t want to pay their fair share. The middle class needs to step up and demand solutions. Tell them we are tired of party politics and if they aren’t going to fix the problems we will get people who will.
This November vote against the incumbant. Don’t worry about parties, just throw the bums out. Then in 2 years do it again, then again and again until the bone heads get the message.

    • AZ Man

Skip, I like your ideas. I will use them if you don’t mind. PS you should be running for public office.

    • Thomas Paine

Helathcare isnt a right it is a good. Rights come from our creator,,we are born with them. Rights are not granted by government
If, from the more wretched parts of the old world, we look at those which are in an advanced stage of improvement, we still find the greedy hand of government thrusting itself into every corner and crevice of industry, and grasping the spoil of the multitude. Invention is continually exercised, to furnish new pretenses for revenues and taxation. It watches prosperity as its prey and permits none to escape without tribute.

THIS IS HOW YOU FIX CONGRESS!!!!!
A friend sent this along to me. I can’t think of a reason to disagree.

I am sending this to virtually everybody on my e-mail list and that includes conservatives, liberals, and everybody in between. Even though we disagree on a number of issues, I count all of you as friends.. My friend and neighbor wants to promote a “Congressional Reform Act of 2010″. It would contain eight provisions, all of which would probably be strongly endorsed by those who drafted the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

I know many of you will say, “this is impossible”. Let me remind you, Congress has the lowest approval of any entity in Government, now is the time when Americans will join together to reform Congress – the entity that represents us.

We need to get a Senator to introduce this bill in the US Senate and a Representative to introduce a similar bill in the US House. These people will become American hero’s..

    Thanks,

    A Concerned Fellow American

    ***********************************

    Congressional Reform Act of 2010

    1. Term Limits: 12 years only, one of the possible options below.

    A. Two Six year Senate terms
    B. Six Two year House terms
    C. One Six year Senate term and three Two Year House terms

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career.. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

    2. No Tenure / No Pension:

A congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

    3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security:

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund moves to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, Congress participates with the American people.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, server your term(s), then go home and back to work.

    4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan just as all Americans.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

    5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

    6. Congress looses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

    7. Congress must equally abide in all laws they impose on the American people.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

    8. All contracts with past and present congressmen are void effective 1/1/11.

The American people did not make this contract with congressmen, congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

If you agree with the above, pass it on to all in your address list. If not, just delete.

    • s c

Joe, while I understand your frustration with a system gone mad, the idea that we can ‘control’ our leaders by letting them have two terms continues the problem. It does not solve it.
Congress is a country club for power whores and criminals who have learned that America’s ‘deep pockets’ can be mined and manipulated because we always ‘forgive’ them. Americans are too forgiving.
You can’t afford to bargain with a career criminal, Joe. A politician becomes “comfy” in Washington becomes a power addict. He or she will sell themselves to whoever offers them the right bribe.
End the strangling effect of consecutive terms, and
you end a politician’s power over America. By giving a politician the benefit of the doubt, you you have volunteered to put a noose around your neck.
Good intentions have no impact in Washington. The time for discourse with career politicians is over.
There is no justification for letting this cancerous monster to continue to destroy America from within. Either solve the problem, or learn to love it. There is NO third choice, Joe.
What price would you put on FREEDOM?

  • http://joeaeverson@hotmail.com Joe A. Everson

Social Security was mandatory and now they want to cut Social Security because they have raided these programs to pay for their ridiculous federal budgets. Socialized medicine is the same thing, another opportunity for the government to misappropriate funds.

    • http://joeaeverson@hotmail.com Joe A. Everson

Solving problems through Washington is like feeding sparrows through cows.

THE GIPPER WAS THE GREATEST PRES SINCE TJEFF. THIS VIDEO IS JUST MORE PROOF. JUST LIKE JCARTER HUSSEIN OBAMA IS DESTINED TO BE ONE-TERM PRES. HUSSEIN OBAMA AND HIS MARXISTS COMMIE CZARS ARE DESTROYING THIS ONCE GREAT NATION. FALLEN DOLLAR,TRIPLE OUT OF CONTROL DEBT, 10% UNEMPLOYMENT, BOWING TO FOREIGN LEADERS, APOLOGIZING FOR AMERICA’S GREATNESS, MEETING WITH DICTATORS CHAVEZ AND I-JAD, LOSING ISREAL AS A ALLY EVEN THOUGH ITS ONLY DEMOCRACY IN MIDDLE EAST, UNION CONTROL OF HEALTHCARE, MIRANDA RIGHTS FOR TERRIOSTS WHO ARE TREATED BETTER AND HAVE MORE RIGHT UNDER HUSSEIN OBAMA, SEC. NOPALOTANO AND A.G. HOLDER THAN OUR BRAVE VETS AND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. AS THE GIPPER ONCE SAID ASK YOURSELF ONE QUESTION ARE YOU BETTER OFF TODAY THAN WERE IN 80′S.? GOVT INTRUSION, LOSS OF PRIVACY, ECONOMIC DISASTER,ETC. 2010 WILL BE A LANDSLIDE LIBERAL DEMOCRAT LOSS OF EPIC PROPORTIONS. I JUST HOPE AND PRAY OUR GREAT NATION CAN SURVIVE HUSSEIN OBAMA UNTIL 2012 AND WE CAN FIND A TRUE LEADER LIKE THE GIPPER TO REPLACE THIS MARXIST COMMUNIST HUSSEIN OBAMA REGIME. LET’S PRAY TO ALMIGHTY GOD WE MAKE IT TO 2012 AND VOTE OUT THIS JOKE OF A LEADER AND GET A REAL AMERICAN PATRIOTIC LEADER LIKE REAGAN WHO HELPED US RID OF JCARTERS DISASTER 4 YEARS INCLIDING MISERY INDEX(HIGH UNEMPLOYMENT AND HIGH INFLATION) AND HIS MOCKERY OF A ADMINSTRATION. HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF WITH JCARTER AND HUSSEIN OBAMA. LETS PRAY TO GOD WE LIVE TO 2012 AND FIX THIS CATASROPHIE FOR THE SAKE OF OUR KIDS AND GRANDKIDS WHO ARE ALREADY TRILLIONS IN DEBT TO UNION THUGS AND THIS DICTATOR HUSSEIN OBAMA REGIME. GOD BLESS THE USA AND OUR BRAVE TROOPS AND LONG LIVE THE GREAT GIPPER!!!!!

DTHOMPSON, REAGAN WAS THE GREATEST, MOST HUMBLE PRESIDENT WE EVER HAD AND HE WASN’T ASHAMED TO SAY HE GOT ON HIS KNEES IN PRAY FOR GUIDANCE, WATCH OVER AMERICA__WE ARE IN DYER NEED OF ANOTHER REAGAN, ALTHOUGH I DOUBT THERE EVER WILL BE!

    • Russ

The “GIPPER” is dead now…. please don’t bless the old dead corpse! It’s not in my religous beliefs, thank you!

    • http://joeaeverson@hotmail.com Joe A. Everson

      At least we had a president then. Obama an expert on Constitutional law should know that a usurper is ineligible for the Office of the President. One cannot faithfully execute the Office of the President of the United States because;
      His every act in the usurped Office of the President is a criminal offense as an act under color of law that would subject the People to the deprivation of their constitutional rights, and entitling no obedience whatsoever from the People;
      As a usurper acting in the guise of the President you could not legally function as the Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy and of the militia of the several states, as such forces would be under no legal obligation to remain obedient to you;
      No one in any civilian agency in the Executive Branch would be required to obey any of your proclamations, executive orders or directives, as such orders would be legally VOID;
      Your appointment of Ambassadors and Judges to the Supreme Court would be VOID ab initio (i.e., from the beginning), no matter what subsequent actions the Senate might take as well as rendering any such acts by such appointed officials void as well;
      Congress would not be able to pass any new laws because they would not be able to acquire the signature of a bona fide President, rendering all such legislation legally VOID;
Therefore a healthcare bill signed by Barry would be legally VOID.

  • http://kathleenfabiano@comcast.net Kathleen D. Fabiano

Kathleen D. Fabiano replys to Joe A. Everson regarding “How you fix Congress.” That, is absolutely brilliant! You are correct in saying Our ForeFathers would agree. Now this is something I would vote for. Mr. Everson, you just gave me so much HOPE. You are correct about something else, the 2010 Election, is the year to do this. EVERYONE, re-read slowly and thoughtfully, and you will see how much sense this makes. This is exactly how we get the Senate and Congress, to work for US once again, as it should be. It also keeps the “Checks and Balances,” in place so we do not have people constantly in “Campaign Mode.” They will work harder for The People, realising, it really is a Privilage to “Serve” in the Senate or Congress. One last point, I LOVE the part that all things signed or voted for by Congress, will be Null and Void in 1/01/2011, that was what put a BIG smile on my face! We really need to do this!!! I’m all for it.

  • http://kathleenfabiano@comcast.net Kathleen D. Fabiano

Kathleen D. Fabiano I just thought of a Senator who would probably introduce this, Sen. Jim DeMint. In fact, I think he would take Great pleasure in doing this. There is no doubt in my Mind.

  • Dave

I grew up listening to mu uncle who is a member of the U.A.W. telling me how the Democrats are for the working man. After many an argument over how things work and after the results of the last election I no longer get my standard phone call from him after an election. As a matter of fact he no longer wishes to talk about politics. God how I wish Ronald Reagan was around to help be a noise to help put a stop to all of this nonsence. Socialists, screw them all I am ashamed of being a union member and I have never advocated socialised any thing. How do I get a passport to Costa Rica? I am not a Republican or a democrat. I have allways though I would vote for the person who would work for my intrests. Is there a utopia?Yes Throw all these Socailist Lawyers and Millionares out! If these people are so expierienced how do we continue to get into this mess. Just think every body. I woant to be free again!

    • Perkins

You’re not free now? Go to your local post office. Then can get a passport for you and you are free to leave the country any time.

      • cheekylady

Perkins, this man is expressing feelings that many Americans are feeling at this time when our Government is under the control of people who will stop at nothing to get their own agenda’s approved and could care less for the well being for the American people. Yes! I agree with Dave, I want freedom from these people’s destructive rule. Is your thought that any American who feels we are losing our freedoms to LEAVE? This is OUR Country! We will speak up against the damage being done to our great country and may God help us be heard and change it back to the way our Forefathers envisioned it! One Nation under GOD! With the Freedom to make our own choices! Choose our own Healthcare not have one forced on us that will diminish the quality of care for all Americans!

        • Perkins

Please explain what freedoms you are loosing. Also, how did you choose your healthcare you have now? All my life my employer picked the plan and the company for me. I have no say in the matter. I can’t shop around for it. Why is it that it’s ok for the United States to spend trillions of dollars on wars, not just the current but others like Korea, and Vietnam, get thousands of young hopeful American kids killed, give money to ungratful nations like Hati, encourage businesses to give jobs away to places like China and India, but as soon as someone wants to help out the good old American people like you say you are loosing your freedoms? And again, what freedoms have you lost? By the way, Dave was the one that asked how to get a passport to Costa Rica, I just told him how to go about it.

  • http://charter howe

I would have to significantly agree with D.Thompson BLOG reply above, but I would like to add that voting the democratic liberals and those who have drifted too far left, out of office sooner rather than later. The only weapon we have against the radical Obama agenda is to nullify his supreme effort for power by having a Senate and House of Representatives that is controlled by the Republicans. I am astounded by the deception that the Democrats have perpetrated to hide the fact that our country is not broke when it really is. The Chinese own us and unless we get the jobs problem solved we are going to stay in a recession until the interest on our debt gets too huge and our country will cave financially. Every bill that is brought to the floor has financial costs some big and some small and there is also the unintended cost like this horrific health care reform bill and it is vital that Congress does not fund anything short of urgent or emergency measures unless there is money to pay for it. For the taxpayers to continue to pay unemployment benefits to people up to 99 weeks and beyond is unfair and absolutely wrong. After six months this extension of benefits is nothing more than a new entitlement and WE THE PEOPLE can’t afford it. We are broke. I feel bad about so many folks being out of work, but I also know many of them will not work at a lower wage or move to a new location to become employed. We are no longer a nation that is wealthy enough to carry entitlements to a new level. Fiscal restraint will insure that future working people will be able to get at least 26 weeks of unemployment and in some cases up to six months, rather than have a system that no longer has the ability to fund normal unemployment needs for anyone.
