Ron Paul on "End the Fed" (The Campaign and the Book)

November 27, 2009 by

Ron Paul on "End the Fed" (The Campaign and the Book)

I’ll admit I’m prejudiced. I think Ron Paul, the maverick Republican/Libertarian congressman from Texas, is the best friend we taxpayers have had in Washington for, oh, the past 100 years or so.

So when Ron agreed to grant an exclusive interview on his efforts to abolish the Federal Reserve, I jumped at the chance. We spoke for 30 minutes on a wide range of subjects. Because of space limitations, I’ll only be able to cover part of them in today’s column. Look for part two a week from today.

If you’ve never heard Ron speak before, you might be surprised at his delivery. He is no fiery orator. He delivers his remarks in a calm, almost professorial manner. But if his manner is mild, his content most assuredly is not. What he has to say is far more radical, even revolutionary, than anything the average American is used to hearing today.

Ron Paul would actually enforce the U.S. Constitution!

Since he (rightly) regards the overwhelming majority of things Big Government does today as unconstitutional, that means he has never met a spending bill he likes. Or, for that matter, intervention in a foreign land without a congressional declaration of war either. There is a good reason that, among both friends and foes in Washington, Ron is known as “Dr. No.” (In his private life, he is an obstetrician who has delivered thousands of babies.)

After years of toiling in obscurity, in the past couple of years Ron’s message of limited government and unlimited freedom has really caught fire. When he decided to run for president in the Republican primaries last year, even he was startled by the size and enthusiasm of the crowds he attracted.

“Yes, I admit I was pleasantly surprised by the response to my message,” he said. “I think something has been rumbling in the country for a long time, and I happened along just when people were waiting to hear this message.”

And then he made an extremely important point: “I think we’re a lot further along in the freedom movement than some of us have realized. We’re seeing a major shift in the attitude of many people. I think this is happening for two reasons: First, a lot of people have been exposed to free-market economics and the principles of freedom. Second, they are being confronted with dramatic evidence that the current system isn’t working. So whether you’re on the receiving end of government giveaways, or you’re one of the ones whose wealth is being taken, both sides are starting to realize, hey, there’s something wrong!”

Ron’s message has found especially fertile ground among young people. When I introduced him at a conference in Las Vegas a year ago I was astounded by the numbers, the energy and the enthusiasm of most of his supporters, many of whom were high school students. The average age of the crowd was probably around 25, which certainly gave new inspiration to all of us oldsters who were there.

And by the way, I want to offer a few words of praise and encouragement to my fellow seniors who’ve been preaching the message of freedom for many, many years. I know we’ve all-too-often despaired that our message was falling on deaf ears. Not true, my friends! Young people have been listening, they’ve been reading and they’ve been asking some tough questions. And believe me; they are no longer satisfied with the reassuring platitudes they get from today’s politicians.

As Ron put it when we spoke, “Young people in particular grasp our message. They feel as though they’re going to be—if they’re not already—victimized. Whether it’s foreign policy or an attack on their personal liberties and personal choices, they’re very concerned. They’re worried about jobs and how they’re going to pay their bills; about Social Security indebtedness and all of those things.

“The most exciting part for me has been seeing their interest in monetary policy. They’re actually shouting out their support for abolishing the Federal Reserve! That’s been amazing to me.”

Ron told me the story of how his “End the Fed” campaign began. “This followed a debate in Detroit during the primaries. We were talking about the economy and I was claiming we were already in the middle of a recession. Well, my Republican opponents didn’t want to hear that.

“Afterwards, I went to a rally at the University of Michigan. This was early in the campaign and I didn’t expect very much, to be frank. But there were 4,000 or 5,000 young people there. During my speech, they started to chant: ‘End the Fed! End the Fed!’ Some of them even began pulling Federal Reserve notes (you know them as dollar bills) from their pockets and lighting them on fire.

“I could never forget the image of that happening. So of course it became part of my campaign. When it came to picking a title for my book that was an easy choice to make.”

(Quick commercial plug: Ron’s book, End the Fed, climbed to the top of the New York Times’ bestseller list and stayed there for many weeks. It’s dropped a bit recently, which is good news for you if you don’t already own a copy. Because it means you can find them at Barnes & Noble or Amazon.com for a substantial discount off the $21.99 cover price. Get ‘em while you can. And think about what a great Christmas present they would make for all of the students on your list.)

To be honest, I don’t think it’s necessary to read every word of every chapter of Ron’s book. Unless you’re simply amused by mumble-jumble and government jargon, you can pretty much skip chapters six and seven (“Conversations with Greenspan” and “Conversations with Bernanke”).

But please pay careful attention to chapter 10, “Why End the Fed?” Here’s how it begins:

“The Federal Reserve should be abolished because it is immoral, unconstitutional, impractical, promotes bad economics and undermines liberty. Its destructive nature makes it a tool of tyrannical government.”

So of course I had to ask him, “Other than that, Ron, what’s wrong with it?”

“Bad government destroys liberty” was his succinct reply. “And the Federal Reserve leads to bad government and bad monetary policy. Not only did they cause the present economic crisis, they’re perpetuating the problem.”

Ron has introduced legislation to audit the Federal Reserve every year for the past dozen or so years. And every year it gets bottled up in committee and never sees the light of day. But this year is different.

When we spoke, Ron already had 301 co-sponsors for the legislation. That is every Republican member of the House of Representatives and a bunch of Democrats, too. So it’s a shoe-in to pass, right?

Wrong. Although Ron has gained some surprising support for the measure, including Massachusetts’ very liberal (but very powerful) congressman, Barney Frank, the powers-that-be are dead-set against the measure. He expects House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to do everything possible to prevent a floor vote.

But at least the measure has been voted out of committee. In an email to me after that action, Ron wrote, “I was pleased last week when we won a vote in the Financial Services Committee to include language from the Audit the Fed bill HR1207 in the upcoming financial regulatory reform bill. As it stands now, if HR 3996 passes, because of this action, the Federal Reserve’s entire balance sheet will be opened up to a GAO audit. We will at last have a chance to find out what happened to the trillions of dollars the Fed has been giving out.”

Does either of us expect an easy victory in Congress this year? Of course not! And even if his measure did pass, despite everything Nancy Pelosi and her cohorts did to stop it, the chances that it will be approved in the Senate and signed by the president are just about zero.

And even when the bill does get signed into law, expect the manipulators of our money system to do everything in their power to protect their trillion-dollar benefactor.

No, folks, this will not be a quick or an easy fight. Ron expects the battle for honest money and limited government to last the rest of his life and beyond. Frankly, so do I.

But rejoice that the battle has been joined! The enemy has been identified! And the weapons we need to win—truth in the hands of an informed public—are all we need, and all we have.

Let me end today’s column as Ron concludes his book. Here are the last three paragraphs of End the Fed:

We have a natural, God-given right to our lives, our liberties, and the fruits of our labor. Protecting those rights is the only role that government ought to have in a free society. To restrain the government from doing more requires a morally determined people willing to assume self-responsibility, rejecting dependence on government force to mold the economy, society, or individual behavior. If the freedom movement continues to grow as it has these past two years, I would say there’s plenty of room for optimism. Freedom and central banking are incompatible. It is freedom we seek, and when that precious goal is achieved, the chant ‘End the Fed’ will become a reality.

Amen to that. Until next time, keep some powder dry.

And remember to look for part two of our interview with Ron Paul next Friday in Personal Liberty Alert.

Ron Paul says what needs to be said, but he knows that Washington is so infested with freedom-hating ‘leaders’ in Washington that the odds of aborting the Fed are close to zero.
The Fed is a monstrosity that should not exist. It is a private corporation. It is also a central bank, and a central bank exists to consolidate power, destroy wealth and enslave people. The fact that the Fed exists proves that those who were legally and morally obligated to protect America instead chose treason.
The Fed acts like a slow cancer, and its death grip on America’s wealth makes would-be foreign invaders envious. Ask anyone who thinks the Fed is good why the dollar is the victim of those who supposedly ‘protect’ it. Ask them how and why the destruction of the dollar can make America ‘strong.’
Long ago, Andrew Jackson understood why America would suffer if central banks were allowed to exist here. Abe Lincoln died
for daring to challenge the Fed. Many people make a convincing argument that JFK died because he planned to stand up to the Fed.
A criminal who wears an expensive suit (and is a media darling) and robs you without a gun is still a criminal. A criminal who has a good education and a ‘reputation’ is still a criminal. Someone who hates freedom and will do anything to enslave a nation is someone who was never your friend.
America needs leaders who love the Constitution and freedom. America never needed empty suits, talking heads or back-stabbers who are above the law and demand to be seen as superior beings.

And they also are probably fully laden with a bunch of criminal lawyers that set them all up in the first place. They need to go as does the IRS.

S C, “End the Fed” means end the Federal Reserve banking system, not end the federal government. The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 (the same year the Sixteenth [income tax] Amendment was added) created the Federal Reserve System, and gave it power to create dollars, literally, out of thin-air. No money may come into existence, now, unless someone (or the government) borrows it, at interest. This assures that the total debt always exceeds the money in circulation, a recipe for booms and busts.

    • http://fcernhart@yahoo.com Marianne to S C says

In April of 1963 John Kennedy directed his Sec. of Treasury to issue
United States Notes backed by silver. I don’t know what denominations
or what quantity was issued BUT right after his assination in Nov,1963
they were called in from circulation since THE VERY PRESENCE of notes
with intrinsic value would drive the valueless FEDERAL RESERVE NOTES
out of the marketplace! THAT would END THE FED. Sounds like a motive
      to me.

If only Ron Paul could have been president, but that isn’t what those voters during the election wanted. All I can say now is “Don’t buy until you see our blood in the street” will not work this time because there will be none of us left! America will get what it really wanted probably, when our government sells us slaves to our enemies to bail out the debt that was created when they stole “our” money to make them selves even richer! The “rich”, such as George Thoros(sp?)are out to steal away all our money! When our constitution said “We the people,” they obviously met our corrupt politicians, not us “commoners!”

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Its George Soros, and he owns the Democratic Party. They owe him bigtime, and will do many anti-American things to pay him back, as he is a very anti-American person. For this party to get in bed with him, says loads and loads about them.

      • http://victorbarney@embarqmail.com Victor L Barney

Beberoni: Thanks for the correction on the name, George Soros. This guy may well belong to the Democratic Party, but what about the “New World Order” father and son presidents named Bush? They also belong to a satanic society i.e., Skull and Crossbones. It’s all the same to me!

        • http://donthaveone Beberoni

          Urban myth.

          • http://kibitzer-truthseeker.blogspot.com Stan

Sorry, Beberoni. You haven’t done your homework sufficiently, if you really believe that.

The fix is in at the top. You don’t REALLY believe it’s a legitimate two-party system, do you?

        • Wanda

Victor your one sick person that George Sorres should be run out of this country and never allowed step foot in it again. He’s nothing but a low life idiot and will do any thing to make a buck. The Bush familly is christians and that is probably more than you can handle. Any sane person is not going to beleive a word you have to say.

      • larry

Anyone who gives aid and comfort to the enemy, and George Soros is our emeny, is guilty of high treason, and should be dealt with accordingly.

        • denniso

larry..George Soros is one of many billionaires in the this country who made a ton of money within the rules of the capitalist system that most everyone promotes as the best system in the world. They then use the influence and power that huge sums of $$ buy in that ststem to promote their views… Why don’t you decry the system that allows a very few to reap such wealth, rather than the individuals themselves? You and some others sound unhinged.

          • DaveH

Sure, If anybody isn’t as naive as you, they are “unhinged”. Only those whose knowledge is lacking need to attack people personally.

          • eyeswideopen

denniso, remember that DaveH, believes that the Corporations should be allowed to run wild with no regulations at all. Do you think he would even acknowledge that the Republican Party has their own George Soros, named Sheldon Adelson?? Never. lol

          • http://donthaveone Beberoni

This is true. But any political party that aligns themselves with anti Americans like this, are not here to represent America, only themselves, and shame on anyone who would vote them into office. Thing is, most people that vote democrat dont even know who he is, as they are uneducated as to the political scene, and havent a clue. They just blindly believe the liberal press and the liberal newspapers, which shows propaganda is alive and well in America.

          • Jana

There is nothing wrong with a capitalist system that allows one to become a millionaire. It takes hard work and determination. It is though as you say, what they do with that money. They buy people such as Congressmen and Presidents.
We cannot protect people against themselves. Some people are corrupt and some are corruptible.
This is why we do need term limits and a smaller government.
Also, when we do realize that we have someone ie: Soros, then we need to again make our voices heard that we know he is a crook and get those that he corrupts out of office.
There has always had those kind of people around to do their dirty deeds.
The problem is we also are having a press that doesn’t act like its free any more. It acts more like it has been bought and paid for by the extreme liberal left and touts only their agenda.

then use the influence and power that huge sums of $$ buy in that ststem to promote their views… Why don’t you decry the system that allows a very few to reap such wealth, rather than the individuals themselves? You and some others sound unhinged.
            Reply

Thank goodness for Sheldon Adelson. We need someone to counter Soros and his ilk.

          • Jana

Excuse the last 2 little paragraphs. I thought I deleted all of the other post but obviously I didn’t.

          • DaveH

            EyesWideShut,
In a free market Corporations have the ultimate regulation of the consumer. In a free market nobody has to buy a product or service, unlike the choices dictated by the Health Care Bill which you support.
The Corporations can only exert their will on the consumer if Big Government acts as their bully boys. Government regulations only serve to protect the Big Corporations from competition. Big Companies can afford the cadres of lawyers and paper-shufflers that result from the burdensome regulations. Small Companies can’t.
You claim to be well-read Eyes. So type “economic freedom” into your search engine and start reading. You will find that the countries with the least amount of business regulation have the best and most desirable economies.

          • denniso

Surely you joke!! Almost every other developed country on the face of the earth has more socialism and regulation of biz than we do. Many are doing much better than we are as civil societies and well functioning economies. You’d better get out more!

          • DaveH

You are the joke. I’ll bet you haven’t even done any of the reading as I suggested. You present your desired beliefs as if they were fact. Anybody can spout unsupported facts.

            http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economic_Freedom_of_the_World

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that the more you burden productive people with myriad rules, the more you stifle their productivity. And as people are diverted from the productive mainstream to being on panels of regulators, the productivity understandably declines further.

          • Jana

            Dave you are so right.

          • Curtis S

Wow Dave, you’re actually quoting the Economic Freedom of the World chart produced by the Fraser Institute? You know that this famous conservative and libertarian think-tank is based in CANADA? You realize that your example shows that Canada is just as economically free as the US and Canada is obviously more socialist, what’s up with that? YOU have given an example where a country (Canada) is burdened by socialist rules, yet it still ranks tied with the US in economic freedom. Thoughts?

  • Pam French

    What’s the plan?????

    • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Vote out the incumbants in both parties. Enough is enough. Time to let our voices be heard. Send the message to them now. We have the power, not them.

      • larry

This means ALL the incumbents i.e., the good, the bad and the ugly!

      • denniso

Beberoni…don’t you remember that was the plan back in ’94? One of your heroes, Gengerich, said the exact same thing..of course, all he wanted was more power for himself, since he knew that new congress people would not be prepared to take power and he would be in a better position to exercise total control himself.
Your plan won’t happen and wouldn’t work anyway. It takes time to learn the ropes in DC and you deprive the party you favor of needed support by getting rid of incumbents..but, by all means, try it because I relish the idea of you and your type losing even more power.

        • DaveH

Round up some crows. You will be eating some soon. People are finally seeing through the Liberal facade of intelligence. And transparent Liberals like you are aiding that enlightenment.

        • http://Yahoo Dee D

denniso – The way the system is set up on a rotating system – no one can vote every incumbent out in one election.
One must be careful tho because backdoor politics can help one party garner a lot of votes.

        • eyeswideopen

denniso, they don’t even remember the Contract with America, that the Repubs came up with and didn’t honor. They have convienent memory loss when it comes to taking responsibility for anything.

          • Jana

Eyes, I don’t have any memory loss. I have written the Republican Party on numerous occasions complaining about that and many other things that makes me upset with them.

          • Jackie

You are absolutely wrong. We do remember the contract with America and the broken promises, that is why the democrats are back in power because the liars were thrown out. Now we have another group of liars who will also be thrown out.

        • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Its Gingerich. And he isnt my hero. Never really cared for the guy. You see, Im not like you. Im not going to support someone just because they are of a certain party, like you blind liberals do. No, I never cared for the guy, so group me into your assinine beliefs.

          • Jana

BB, I feel the same way about him. I do not trust him..

          • eyeswideopen

Actually, his name is spelled Gingrich. I have sent him enough letters that I am familiar with his name.

          • denniso

EYO…thanks for the spelling correction on Gingrich..I wasn’t sure but didn’t want to waste my time looking it up. The real point, though, is that he is a sleazeball and I can’t believe he still has any following at all in the repub party…sad, it shows what level the party has fallen to. There once were sane, moderate people in the repub party and they’ve been driven out by the lunatics. Now some of these people scream about the crooks in office after they’ve helped drive off the good people by supporting candidates like Palin, someone who appeals to the fringe but not to most moderate voters.

          • DaveH

            Denniso,
Your statement “I wasn’t sure but didn’t want to waste my time looking it up” speaks volumes about your attitude. Heaven forbid that you should waste any of your time reading and verifying your statements.

          • eyeswideopen

Dave, what’s funny is that Berberoni is correcting someone and he is wrong. LOL.

    • James

Pam F, the plan is to end the federal reserve banking system, by repealing the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, which created it.

  • http://none Lawrence

WE NEED PAULONOMICS, NOT OBAMANOMICS NOW! We’re about to become slaves to the administration ruled by the current crooks in charge!!
    Note all are lawyers!!

    • denniso

Why don’t you list the things that have happened under Obama to enslave you? Rather than just rant, do some thinking!

      • DaveH

        Let’s see:
$2 Trillion added to the national debt.
        Attacks on freedom of speech.
Attacks on peaceful town hall protestors.
A concerted effort to take control of our health care choices.
A concerted effort to use junk science to take control of our energy markets.
Propagandizing our children in public schools.

Do I need to go on Donkey?

        • Claire

Donkey???? Now DaveH–you told some of us women to not get so personal.
What do you think of Dennis Kucinich?

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

Claire – I think Dennis Kucinich – tho small in stature is one of the most honest politicians in Washington. I understand what he is saying concerning the health care package – however that was a platform Obama ran on. Obama is trying to keep his campaign promises (one of only a hand full that is trying to keep his word) and meeting nothing but distorted lies and brick walls and NO NO NANA’S along the way.
I may be wrong but if anything concerning health care is voted in, then it can be changed in many area’s. Obama is trying to get something accomplished.
Good golly, it seems the members of the Democratic party are the only ones who has tried to do anything about the high costing lack of health care for our citizens. Hillary tried but the Republican controlled houses shut her down and shelved it during her husbands tenure.
It’s been shelved – brought out, dusted off and then voted down and shelved again for over 40 years. I feel it’s time someone grew a backbone and started standing up for American citizens.
I just can’t get a grip as to why the Republicans in office do not want to help our citizens. We pay for their health care packages – why can’t we have some decent care? I think all of Washington should have to live by the same rules and laws they vote in for everybody.
I’d be willing to bet they would really repair Medicare and Medicade and Social Security if they had to exist on the same standards.
That’s the fight every citizen needs to get involved with. What’s sauce for the goose should be good enough for the gander.

          • Jana

            Clair and DeeD,
Dennis Kucinich may be honest, I don’t really know a lot about him, but we have differing opinions as to what a health care bill should be. In fact all of the politicians may have good intentions, and they may not.
There are a lot of things that should be done before going to the extreme that our congressmen are planning on. One thing is we are not allowed to go out of our state for insurance. We should be allowed to shop around and use any insurance company in the United States.
Truly my fear is that just like anything the government takes over it gets worse, not better. We will get to pay for panels of people to decide our medical care, ie: whether we even get it or not, with no recourse.
England has warned us that we are making a mistake. They have been down this road and therefore I believe them. France is trying to change their government run system to go back to private insurance companies.
The Democrats are not the only ones who have tried to do something. The Republicans have their ideas too, but have been greatly ignored and the Democrats tell everyone that they (the Republicans) have no plan.
Generally when the government gets involved fraud is rampant and taxes go higher. This has already been promised that all of our taxes will increase greatly because of this Health Care Bill. They are dreaming up all kinds of taxes for all of us to pay, not just the rich.
I do agree that the government officials should have to abide by the same standards that they vote for us, the citizens of this country.
Obama stated also, before he was elected, that this Health Care Bill would be discussed in the open, on CNN I think it was them, but some news station, and that it would be open for all to hear. Nancy Pelosi stated that when she became Speaker of the House there would be no more back room laws made.
Neither one of these promises were kept. They wrote this bill behind closed doors with only Democrats present. This was not done in the open, and Obama has had a closed door to all Republicans to even discuss this matter. He has not been open or forthright in this matter and that concerns me greatly.
We want to be able to trust our President, but doing things in secret, no matter which Pres. Bush or Obama does not promote trust.

          • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Brain dead. Look what he did to Ohio in such a short time. The dude is a loser, and an extremist. He should be in jail.

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

Bebe: I feel compelled to respond and clue you in on a few political facts concerning Ohio. Who is brain dead? Who done what to Ohio in a short time?
Ohio had a Republican Governor named Robert (Bob) Taft. A very good friend of Governor Taft was a Republican named Bob Noe. These two decided to invest in a coin deal using Ohio’s Worker’s comp. money. They were caught. Governor Taft didn’t even get his hands slapped. Noe went to prison. No money restored. Taft was also accused of lying and not declaring items and gifts and money on his income taxes that should have been declared. Once more, no punishment.
Then there was a Republican, Betty Montgomery – 1st office, Attorney General, office in Columbus Ohio.
Then there was a Republican, Jim Petro – 1st office, Public Accountant, office in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Some where along the way Montgomery and Petro changed offices. No election as I recall.
Montgomery -Public Accountant, office in Columbus. Petro Attorney General, office in Columbus. These two were the watchdogs for the public servants investments (school teachers – police officers – fireman) retirement funds. Money misappropriated and spent while the watch dogs were not barking. No one prosecuted, no money returned.
All these actions were published in the Columbus Dispatch and revealed on the boob tube.
Answer me if you can—-Why does any Politician (especially Republicans) in any office seem to always dip into the working man’s investments? At state, City, County and Federal levels?
I think it was you who said you wished Social Security had been privatized. I don’t know your age, but I also have payed into SS all my working life and I do resent both Democrat and Republican administrations taking the surplus and spending it on everything but it’s intended purpose. Since you wished it had been privatized I want to thank you for wishing all who draws benefits would lose it all. You are a true American. If you are a baby boomer and you’re convinced it will not be there for you, why did you not try to keep Washington from playing around with it?

        • s c

DaveH, You might ask him if enslave is in his dictionary. I am assuming that a progressive ultraliberal has a dictionary, even if most of the words have been re-defined, and then filtered through a pc committee so the new definition can be considered ‘blessed.’
Obviously, some people think comrade obama can walk on water, turn water into wine and when properly motivated via a pc photo-op media circus, raise the dead. How else can they rely on legions of dead voters for the next election?

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

Jana – What do you think the public option is all about? Why are so many Republicans and blue dogs (repugs riding the donkey logo) fighting the public option so venomously? Of course party loyalists know they have their constituents interest at heart. So they try to convince you and apparently are doing a pretty good job. So much apathy from our voters who refuse to research anything to cast intelligent votes and then follow the action and correct any mistake they may have made at the voting booth.
Do you truly think that the politicians want a government controlled health care package, or do the honest ones wants the public to have a choice and give the insurance companies some competition? Why are the No NO’s and Blue Dog misfits fighting this deal now, like they have been for the past 40 years? Only with competition can the prices be kept down to make it affordable for everyone.
The wanna get rich politicians do not want their money tree to die at the roots. They are willing to cater to the pharmaceuticals and big insurance companies and are willing to sacrifice any and all citizens (young, old, teens, baby’s) to keep the money rolling into their pockets. They are supposed to be representing us, their employers, but they know they don’t have too. We are too stupid to even know just what they are doing in Washington and I fear the party loyalists are showing them they are correct.
You can purchase insurance policies from any state in our nation – they just want you not to be able to go out of the states for your medication.
We have a mail order medication supplier, called med-co. Owned and operated by the big high priced pharmaceuticals. They can purchase the medication from all around the world for pennies and make a large profit from people who needs the medication. They do not want any citizen to purchase from anyone but them. They want to continue dominating all and could care less if people die or can not afford to pay their exuberant prices. It’s about $$$$$ to them and maintaining control of the masses.
If you doubt me and have any friends you can talk too that may be retired and are losing their health benefits from the company they retired from – talk to them. Let them give you the straight talk about what is happening in their lives.
Med-Co wormed their way into the manufacturing industry covering meds for all workers including retirees. At first the co-pay for each prescription was $5.00 for all medication. Then with each purchase the co-pay would jump approx. $2.00 per prescription. Then co-pays for generics went to $16.00 and natural went to $25.00. Now on Dec.31 every employee including retirees will lose all medical coverage. One medication I am on will go from $25.00 to $527.59 for a 3 month supply and it is a generic. They put any price tag they choose on any and all drugs whenever they choose. You will buy or do without., they can care less. I will not be able to afford it for very long because the Republicans and red dogs are also trying to reduce medicare and medicade benefits for us senior citizens.
Another worthless Insurance Company is Anthem BC/BS. They used to be the best carrier for all their policy holders but again greed entered the picture. They wormed their way into the manufacturing markets for contracts. They become secondary insurers who pay next to nothing to nothing for all medical services on the policyholders. They dropped a lot of senior citizens in eastern Ohio who had them for years paying their premiums which kept rising every year by the COLA index. That is costs went up but not benefits for the people.
Do much more research because you may be in the same position far too many people are already in today.
Insurance reform is all about trying to make it affordable for all citizens and not Government control – I really should not say not for Government control because with all the watering down and supplements and changes being added by the Republicans and blue dogs – no one knows what has been added or deleted from the original draft. We are hearing nothing about what any of the nay-sayers are saying except they are trying to kill the public option. Without the public option the medical industry will continue to control all pricing and coverage for only the ones they choose to cover.

This reply is to Dee Dee. Why do we not want the public option? Are you nuts? Have you read it and understand what its about? And you still want it? You have got to be either crazy, or uneducated. Why you said you were against abortion, yet this public option contains a fine that all will pay to fund abortions. Check it out, its in there.

          • Jana

Dee D, I am against the public option because it intends to eventually become the only option.

Dave- The 2 trillion was added to what size of a deficit he inherited?
He hasen’t started any illegal wars yet.
His increase on the deficit was spent here in America and not shoved into the pockets of the friends and businesses of Cheney.
What issue have you read where you say he infringes on freedom of speech?
Taking freedoms away from the town hall protestors like the Birthers – (friendly?) Birthers are on the fringe of American politics, they are part of a wider surge of rightwing anger toward Obama’s perceived socialist policies that seems to be sweeping the country. They’ve labeled him a Socialist – Demogog – Muselum – Communist and of mocking his way into a position of control. They refuse to openly admit the axe they have to grind is an educated and intelligent black man was voted in fair and square (no rigged polls) and it riles them to no end.
Have you read anything about the Health Care issue? Far from perfect thanks to the watering down by the No Republican members and the Blue Dogs who have held up anything to be done with the bills for over 40 years.
Since when anyone encouraging school children to stay in school and get an education is propaganizing school children? Of course that should start in their home but some parents are rather lax in performing their duties. If you read what he said to the children, did you not understand what he said?

Dave, yes, I think a depression would have been a much better ave. rather than trying to save this country. Alot of the cost of the debit are the two wars which continue to this day and were unfunded….probably because the tax cuts stopped the needed revenue from being collected…..the rich just had to have a tax cut. Propagandizing the children? Didn’t you finally realize that no one at the school where the singing took place, called Obama and asked him if they should do that song. He had nothing to do with that, you are not living in the real world, if you think every middle school checks with the President on their school programs. Freedom of speech? Whose has been denied? The Patriot Act is going to be repealed, but that wasn’t Obama’s debacle. Attacks on town halls? You have got to be kidding, the tea baggers are the most rude protectors in our recent history. You are sounding more like a right winger than a libertarian….

Three of us were trying to find anyone under 50 at the meeting and out of the 200 we polled, we found 4. They had the meeting at 2:30 in afternoon, so no younger people could attend. Such the Republican way. Every person who asked a question about expanding the insurance plans, were shouted down and called names. So, it must be that our older persons are more radical than yours.

Debt…Repubs ran up the debt and a dem(clinton) balanced the budget and produced a surplus..Bush busted the budget with a trillion $ tax cut for the rich and the trillion $ drug plan. Add in the hundreds of billions for 2 wars that he badly mismannaged and didn’t finish and then the economy crashing in his term. Obama then comes in and does what every other country affected by the collapse is doing..stimulus spending to get the economy going again.
Freedom of speech…Obama’s people call fox news partisan and you call that attacking freedom of speech? You don’t remember that Bush actually paid supposedly independent journalists big $$ to write favorable stories and pretend that they weren’t bought off by Bush. That is what Iran does…control of the media.
Junk science…Bush muzzled all real scientists in the fed gov’t. EPA,FDA,NASA..When any scientific findings contradicted the party line, they were buried and individual scientists were told to keep quiet. Junk science??

There was perhaps an understatement in the article. Ron Paul is not just the best Congressman in the past 100 years or so, he is undoubtedly the best Congressman ever. And a genuinely wonderful person to deal with on apersonal basis. All good Americans can have complete confidence in him and totally trust his judgement on governmental matters.

inside- And talk is the cheapest commodity mankind was given. All politicians will promise you the moon – when elected they go brain dead and forget all they promised. In both the Democratic and Republican parties. They all lie, cheat and cater to big business to stuff their pockets.

      • Jana

D.D., that is what I am concerned about Dennis Kucinich. He is a politician.

        • Claire

Jana– The good, honest politicians (there are still some left) can never afford to run for an office. They do not get the endorsements, nor the funding from any of the “big companies,” from anybody. People keep voting Democrat or Republican regardless of who the candidate is. It is a vicious circle. I don’t think we will ever be able to break from this cycle.

          • Jana

Claire I think you are right.

When a politician has to think about his career instead of what is best for the country, how can we expect them to be ‘honest’ or vote their conscious? This is why we really do need term limits.

        • http://Yahoo Dee D

Jana – All that is required of you to learn truths is an open mind and research – read – follow the votes and stay away from propaganda spewers.
If you want to listen to propaganda – fine but research and question the contents. No politician can hide all the fact if anyone will take the time to investigate. It’s important that all do this because we all will have to live with the end results.

          • Jana

DD I would give you that same advice. You are a very close minded person. You stated in another post that you don’try to influence anyone. Ha, yes you do. You who tell others to be open minded have a very closed mind and eyes and ears.
You who think that no one is as smart as you especially if they do not have a college education. This is what you have stated before.
Why don’t you try opening your eyes to the truth and quit listening to lies and distortions of facts.

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

Jana – I don’t think I am closed minded at all. The close minded zombies are the party loyalist who know (think) one party rule is the answer. Take a good look — that is one reason we have made such a horrible mess of everything.

Not even New York’s 5 crime families ever controlled a city as good or for as long as the “Chicago Mob!” According to Glenn Beck, we got the former “weathermen” started by two Caucasian’s of the 60′s in charge of the white house with the “Charles Manson” mentality (He was copying them) and I had thought that they were all in jail? Oh well. If only it were not too late for Paulonomics!

      • Claire

Politicians do think we are stupid. This is what they play on and depend on. They are counting on our ignorance to believe everything they say. They tell us what we want to hear so they will get elected. Yes, we do need to clean house but we should do it in the correct and logical way.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

I would have to add, that it does seem our population is very dumb, being that in 2008, a very unqualified, untested individual spent millions of dollars on commercials, where he said nothing more than, change-change-change, and they bought into it. Now all we are soon to have left is change.

I believe the first thing thr people need to understand is these people that represent we the people are our(Representives)not leaders! If you need a leader look to heaven. For over 35yrs.the people have preached, get us out of the U.N.and the Centeral banking system. All that have apposied these criminals have died,as Bob said in his article which is more than most know how true this actually is! Maybe a sceniro like the Ursuper is removed from office by our military along with all the other criminals in the federal, state, and local parts of this fraud we call our government. It will take a lot more of us than there are now, they’ll fight us tooth and nail as they’ve been doing for years. With a military coup.Dr.Paul could be seated as a stand in till a bonified vote can take place, that is by getting rid of the machines and going back to a single piece of paper gets counted. It worked fairly for along time. Ben Franklyn was asked by a woman after the sigining of our Constitution. Sir what have you brought us? He told her,you have a republic “if” you can keep it! Blessings to your endevors toward keeping our Republic may God lead!

    • Charles Veitengruber

EXACTLY!!! And it does not matter how many people “listen” to him and others. I have been preaching to any who would listen for years in my own little circles, but most DON’T listen. And you know why? It’s because the media is controlled by the oligarchy of the very rich. They parrot what they are told to parrot. Fox Network is a very minor and ineffective alternative voice, which is allowed only to show that America is “free” to voices of different opinions. When was the last time you had a true choice of Presidential candidates to vote for among the major parties? And how many potential candidates have you seen trashed by the media before they even got started? And all this while squelching any attempt at investigating a major candidate of THEIR choice. I predict that Obama will be re-elected, if for no other reason than that he is such a screw-up that he detracts from the main efforts being undertaken by the power-brokers for the oligarchy of the very rich. It’s all smoke and mirrors, folks.

    • DaveH

      Victor,
The Republicans for the most part haven’t been much better than the Democrats at restraining government growth. If we keep voting for the lesser of two evils, we will still have evil. We need to “split” the votes as long as it takes to wake people up to the reality of Big Government. As an example, look at the number of people who have finally come out of their stupors due to the radical policies of the far left. If we had a continuation of Republicans, we would have just seen the Government grow Bigger, but more slowly (kind of like cancer in the initial stages).
The only way the freedom lovers are going to win is to build their ranks slowly and in a principled fashion. The only party I know with the principles to lead us back to Constitutional Law and individual freedom and responsibility is the Libertarian Party:

  • http://victorbarney@embarqmail.com Victor L Barney

According to Hannity on Fox, Ben Franklyn, although originally a “commoner” from Boston, he also was a Mason and an Illuminati member, which apparently was part of a secret society to bring in a “New World Order” under Satan. Not only was Ben a great con-artist (our country would have never got past go without him), he also seemingly was great at telling lies!

Victor- Why has the OWO or OWG layed dormant so long? You say Ben Franklin was the author? George Bush Sr. is the one that brought the subject up during his tenure. Yes, the Masons were a strong contender in their day. Like the Knights of Columbus and a lot of others. In other words another name could be THE GOOD OLE BOYS CLUB, which I will say the umbilical cord should have been severed a long time ago.

You don’t understand do you? We the people are at the bottom of the pyramid. Our job is to follow every directive they issue, believe everything they say and work for the taxes that keep stuffing their greedy pockets when the powers and people they truly represent do not stuff their pockets fast enough.
We are the government and we’ve come a long way in allowing our country get into the mess we are in. We have been and still are sloven worthless non-thinking citizens of this once great country. Do we know how to think for ourselves any more?

I realized from the moment he spoke about the constitution that this was not about him, but rather a topic about something he sincerely belived in, as do I. Hopefully, Dr. Paul can get enough of a following so the cable news machine will become more interested in his views and let him on to speak. Do that “FOX NEWS”!!!!!

Jane,Don’t be afraid. That is what they want.Stand up for your rights and put anything you want on your bumper or anywhere else you want it.We have got to get rid of all of the do nothing followers in Washington.I spent two tours in the military fighting what this administration is trying to shove down our throats.I’m going to pay more attention to what Ron Paul has to say.

    • s c

Thank you for your service to the nation, Lobo. When it was my turn in the military, LBJ and then RMN occupied the white house. I can’t imagine what it must be like to have comrade obama as a Pretender-in-Chief. At some point, the military won’t be able to attract enough people to get the job done, and that blame will go to no one but comrade obama. It’s not right that America should have to suffer for someone who isn’t fit to shine the shoes of anyone serving in the military.

    • http://Yahoo Dee D

Lobo – What year did you serve two tours? Only two – you are lucky, I know some who have served four tours.
Are you still subject to be re-called? Volunteer.
Where you were – was the only source of news you were allowed to listen was Fauxx noise – like some that has told me that’s all they could get?
Where were you? Iraq – Afghanistan – Germany Where?

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

Lobo – Since this administration has been in for only a year – how can your tours of 2 years have been under this administration? Just thinking.

        • eyeswideopen

Dee D. very astute observations. LMAO

        • Jana

DeeD, reread what he said. He never stated that her served two tours under this administration.
He said,”I spent two tours in the military fighting what this administration is trying to shove down our throats.”
Not such an astute observation after all.

Yes, Jana: You are right while I walk the middle.

I believe if you check how many the military is attracting right now you will be superised. You might want to check just who are entering the Military.

    • Claire

Explain, please. I have an inquiring mind.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Enlistments are at an all time high.

        • Jana

I have a friend who is in the Army and he was telling us that they are trying to phase out some of their military.
Now that fits right up there with why Obama is so slow at making his decisions about Afghanistan. I just hope his plan to phase out some of them is not to let them just die in battle.
I am glad that our young people are taking to Ron Paul. After reading this article I realize he does have some good values and standards.
We also have some wonderful young people in this country, who love this country.
Reading this piece has given me a new outlook on R.Paul and I am glad for this information.
He said bad government limits liberty, and the worse the government gets the bigger it gets.
I do hope his audit the Fed bill gets passed. They need to be held accountable.

    • http://Yahoo Dee D

Ray – It’s hard to get more volunteer enlistments, especially since so many who weren’t killed or butchered were mustered out with pre-existing mental disorders and had to re-pay enlistment bonuses and had to pay for lost Government equipment. Can you blame them? I can’t. They did not get necessary equipment to save their lives either from the previous administration.
Research how many were being treated (neglected) in decaying, falling apart, moldy and unsanitary conditions in the hospitals back here in the states also.

PS Ray Under the last administration – Veterans benefits were cut also.

      • Jana

D.D., Where did you get this information?

        • http://Yahoo Dee D

Jana – I research many links. But even if I supplied links for you, you would accuse me of only watching Democratic news sites, so why should I bother?
I have no faith in a majority of any members of the Democratic party than I do within the Republican party. Most of them are scalleywags interested in making all the money they can.
One fact they are not considering – they will take nothing with them when they pay the last obligation we all will have to pay. That will either be a new beginning or the worst possible beginning for everybody.

So why bother? I do not try to make anyone’s mind up concerning any issue. You have to live with every decision you make. I only hope any question I ask will motivate all to research and learn some unbiased facts for themselves.

It all started downhill in 2007, when it was evident that a Democrat was going to win. You can deny it all you want, but hey, facts is facts. Deal with it. Now, I say now, that your guy is in there, he has taken unemployement from 4 percent to 10 percent, and its getting worse. But I know, all these bad decisions Barack has made, is all Bush’s fault. You liberals kill me. Never can take the blame for the losing things you do.

D.D., We all know how much you hate Bush. That is now a given.
Bush failed most definitely in that he never stopped any bill from passing. In 2006 the Democrats took over and it even got worse.

Or are your party loyalties ruling the day and you only are being selective of what you choose to absorb from what you read?

          • Jana

DD. I know you think your little saying is cute, but it’s not. I do read your posts. Not only from this site, but I have read them from the other sites. Hmmmm just how did I think that you hate Bush? What a joke! Really, maybe you don’t read your own posts. You don’t have to use the word hate to show your hatred and disgust. You can do that quite well my dear. Not only Bush but Cheney. You and I are so far opposites its not even funny.
You adore Obama so much that you refuse to see the truth about this man. Yes, he is more Socialist than Capitalist. The next step after Socialism is Communism. OPEN YOUR EYES GIRL. With you I don’t have to assume anything, you have made it all to clear what side of the road you are on. Your stand which is Socialism is what is ruling you. You can’t absorb the truth because you are closed minded.

I trust VERY FEW politicians period and the ones I do trust does not stand a chance of accomplishing much for the betterment of our country or her citizens because they are not on the take. Since they will not vote for big business, pharmaceuticals, insurance companies but try to work for their constituents they get nothing from any of them. MONEY TALKS and they have very little.
MONEY TALKED very loud in 2000.

          • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Jana: WE ALL know how much you hate Bush. That’s one major problem with a lot of hard nose party loyalists. (in both parties) They think they have the right to speak for everyone. Ignorance is not bliss Jana. All should try to learn a little about what someone says before they try to speak for them.
Then there are the ones who try to stir things up and encourage any and all to hop on board.
We can only learn if we are willing to listen, research and speak only for ourselves. That is called co-operation and sincerity. Working together and communicating is one way groups are able to come up with possible solutions to many problems.

          • Jana

DeeD, I truly hope you mean that. On some of your posts you do sound like you mean it, then you have other posts that sound like someone else took over and that person sounds like a Communist sympathizer.

          • Jana

DeeD, by the way where ever did you get that term American Born Immigrant? There has to be a story behind this term and I would love to hear it.

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

Jana: I have explained my position to you and another poster. Twice should have been enough for you.
THE ONLY TRUE AND PURE BRED AMERICAN IS THE INDIAN. THE REST OF US CAME AND INVADED THEIR COUNTRY, THEREFORE WE ARE ALL IMMIGRANTS TO THIS COUNTRY. OUR FOREFATHERS WERE THE TRUE IMMIGRANTS AND THE REST OF US BEING BORN TO OUR IMMIGRANTS PARENTS ARE AMERICAN BORN IMMIGRANTS.
I hope the third time is the charm.

          • Jana

            DeeD,
See you don’t read and comprehend what you are reading. I didn’t ask you your position on the term, I asked you where you came up with this term. As it stands it is a contradiction to itself.
I thought you might have an interesting story that it originated from. But, I guess this is just beyond your comprehension or your ability..

          • DaveH

We can’t change the past Dee. What we can do is respect the property rights of the present. And you don’t seem to want to do that. Am I wrong? Do you support the right of citizens to make their own health care choices? Do you support peoples’ property rights (that includes their hard-earned money)? Do you support the right of people to live their lives unfettered by an intrusive Government?

          • eyeswideopen

Dave, most people support everything you said, however it is hard to purchase affordable insurance, when you are forced to purchase from only those allowed to sell in your state at a pre-agreed pricing sum, agreed to by the major insurance companies who have the Anti-trust laws helping them to control the monopolies that they have. Where is the free market? Gone to crap, as the Insurance companies, own our Congressmen and our ability to choose has been destroyed. Capitalism for the poor, socialism for the rich.

A few years back, just to see if it was the truth about the Fed being corrupt, I called up the FEDERAL RESERVE at 4:55pm EST on a Friday. I posed as a college kid doing a paper on how the Federal Reserve worked. I explained to the person who answered the phone that I had been to the website but was confused, mind you this was not someone who would have normally answered from what he told me because everyone had left early. He volunteered to help me as best as he could. I accepted and proceeded to ask him these simple questions…

“How can the Fed be a privately held company and function as a part of the US Gov?”

He replied that yes they were a privately held company and that they were responsible for monetary policy for the US and other countries, printing money and setting the interest rates. He also said that they were in control of the economy.

“Is there any way that I can invest in the Federal Reserve Stock since it is a company that is doing government work on such a high level, and since it’s a capitalistic society, shouldn’t I have the right to benefit too?”

He replied, somewhat nervously, that he wasn’t sure if that was possible, but he didn’t think so.

“If the US is a free and democratic country and none of these people in “control” of basically the global economy were elected officials, then how does that make us a free and democratic country?”

At this point he got nervous and said he had to go because he was afraid he might say something “wrong, that I shouldn’t say”.

He then clammed up and excused himself from the conversation, inviting me to call back during normal business hours on Monday so that I could speak to a person who might have “better” answers for me.

The conversation I had with this man sent a chill throughout my body. I believe that every American should be supporting RON PAUL’s effort to END THE FED! And… the IRS should be next!

    • http://Yahoo Dee D

NK – Very interesting. Do some research and I think you will discover that John F. Kennedy was assassinated because one of his prime goals was to dismantle and abolish the Federal Reserve and the IRS. If that is Ron Paul’s platform he won’t last either. Money talks.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

JFK was an ungodly man who made many enemies, because he was brought up in a family where they did what ever they wanted to whomever they wanted, and thought they were above everyone else. That didnt end to well for any of the Kennedy’s. Thank their daddy Joe for that.

NK, you got an unusual introduction to one of the groups that controls a large chunk of the ‘useless eaters’ who hold office in DC. You probably learned more about the Fed in one coversation than most who chase degrees in universities (including economics).
Kinda makes you wonder who owns Bernanke’s posterior. Supposedly, he knows more about the Great Depression than anyone else in the US. So far, his decisions could have been made by a 5 year old.
When you cross-reference what you now know with what the Constitution DOESN”T say about the Fed (and a president’s unconstitutional authority to ‘appoint’ the head of any private corporation, the Fed), it may give you yet another angle to ponder.

    • Jana

Wow NK, good for you and thanks for sharing that. You need to send this out all over. Write a letter to the editor too. This is good information.

    1. The Federal Reserve: An Astounding Exposure 1934.

    3. Rules for Revolution. (Compare this with sly words of #2)

The FED has an astonishing magical power. The are able to create the mandrake effect. They help to make the dollar elastic. Elastic dollars stretch out to exercise more power to share in the spending bang on goods services and for projects. The FED help to contract the amount of dollars to flow in the world. Strange as it is, the FED provides a service for control of U.S. Dollars and in the might of the dollar. The FED might be non political. They are strictly business. If the FED goes elsewhere because they are forced out by big government; then the FED will migrate and find a new home. The magic of the FED power could go to China Russia Brazil and to other countries; where the new home countries to the migration of FED will enjoy the magical prosperity of the FED services. If the FED found a new home outside the USA; the adopted countries of FED control will relish and enjoy financial power privileges the USA once enjoyed as the FED’s golden child. i admit my significant other is not perfect; but we enjoy our combined power. The FED will find a new home country; if we force it out of our monetary system. A marriage with both its heaven and hell is what the FED is…is is is. A clever fox will buy bonds in both or an array of waring factions, countries. The betting is hedged for whatever outcome no matter what. In the aftermath of financial wars; some money forces will emerge rich and in the position to carpetbag drained economies. If ya can’t beat’em;join’em. Getting paid in script is like being dis empowered and you end up owing to th company store….a slave. Money buys freedom. America can have its debt rolled over; debt forgiveness and we can restart the American currency just as well as Brazil and Argentina in their great success story. Money is power. Power to buy nearly anything you want. The FED is our assistant. What say you?

  • Ed Mullen

You’re all saying Obama is a puppet of the guys who control the Fed and the US economy. Obama knows how to bow before superior power or he wouldn’t have made it up the political ladder in Chicago. Obama also knbows how to organize ground troops and he enjoys doing it. He’s holding Campaign USA rallys all across the country to recruit willing hands to join the Community Workers groups like ACORN, who support Presidential (DEMS) efforts while sucking up tons of taxpayer money.

America is in deep trouble. The DEMS win by playing off one group against the other while shovelling money at all of them to gain votes. They all expect payoffs for their support. ACORN is of another color, however, a tax supported tool for political corruption, with strings leading back to the White House.

Here, here, here to Ron Paul.
Great words and terrific works. Keep it up Ron Paul.
If Obama keeps up what he is doing, you should be a shoe in next election.
I completely agree with Ron Paul and the Fed should be done in as well as the IRS.
They both came into power illegally and are STILL illegal.
JFK was assassinated because he tried to kill the FED. You don’t believe that, then
look up the US Bank Note that Kennedy adopted in 1963. They were printed in 1963
and right after his assassination were immediately removed from circulation.
How’s that for a history lesson. I always knew that the US government assassinated
Kennedy and since I found out about his attempt to do away with the FED, that proves it,
    at least to me.
Thanks Ron Paul PLEASE keep up the GREAT work that you are doing. And watch your back!

    • denniso

walt…You don’t make sense. You people irrationally hate the fed. You say the fed killed kennedy. If kennedy were alive today you would hate him. I think all of you are having trouble looking for a proper scapegoat to kick. The fed is no evil boogey man..it’s simply an institution that helps regulate a very complex economy in a very complex world. Quick looking for people or things to hate and vote for good, smart people. Simple.

      • Claire

Denniso—then who do you think killed JFK? Oswald was the scapegoat. He may have pulled the trigger but he sure as heck didn’t act alone.

        • s c

Claire, if you want an interesting conversation, ask a gunsmith about the wisdom of using a Mannlicher-Carcano rifle to murder someone in a situation like that in Dallas in ’63.
That German-Italian piece of crap is arguably one of the worst weapons ever made. And somehow, Oswald (anything but a world-class shot), did the impossible. Then, you will get around to pondering who pulls the strings of the Einstein who came up with the idea of the ‘single, magic bullet’ theory and his later ‘contributions’ to American politics.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

denniso – The Federal Reserve controls all our money. They should never have been allowed to become so powerful. I’ll repeat MONEY TALKS.

        • s c

You’re probably wasting your time on him, Dee D, because he sees the Fed as a simple, worthy, compassionate and humane group – like ACORN. Either he doesn’t like to read (lots of that going around), or he has been trained to ignore the obvious (that wouldn’t be considered pc).
Perhaps 50 years from now, he might understand the many parallels to NATIONAL SOCIALISM (via Hitler) and obama’s tactics. For now, it’s too comfy wearing those special blinders that progressive ultraliberals are required to wear 24/7. It’s like fence-sitting. It takes a while to get used to it. After a while, you wonder why everyone isn’t a fence-sitter who needs to wear those oh, so special, pc blinders.

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

s c – I have to say denniso reads more than a lot of others who post here and he is entitled to his opinions. We all are guilty of relating to the way we interpret what we read, and many of us exclude and fail to take into account that everything we each read has a certain percentile of the authors personal opinion installed. But, I give denniso credit, he thinks for himself and does not allow others to tell him what to think and say. I don’t think he listens much to the hate spewing retards we have on public TV and probably never attends any of the rubble rousing tea parties or birthers shin-digs.

As far as fooling anybody, I only present the facts, maam. The people who are fooling others are the politicians who distract the citizens’ attention with one hand while doing their dirty work with the other. They are in it for themselves and will do whatever it takes to fool the citizens.

Dee, you are right, money that the corporations hand out to the politicians is what is running this country. Over 100 billion in corporate subsudies was awarded in 2006. Gee, that would have paid for alot of healthcare wouldn’t it? Anyway, Ron Paul, cannot claim to be for smaller government as he just got 75 million in earmarks for his district. Money corrupts all who want to stay in power, regardless of their mantra’s. We need campaign reform, along with stopping the socialized payments to the corporations.

Murtha is the representative for Johnstown, Cambria County. I realize reps are voted in to represent their constituents but should they lobby for millions of dollars the tax payers must subsidize? He got 7 million $’s for the air traffic control tower – 14 million $’s for a hanger – 18 million $’s for a runway. In a recent stimulus package he received 800,000 $’s more to repave a runway. I want Obama to consider this an unnecessary waste of tax $$’s when approx. only 3 flights a day fly out of the airport.
Why don’t citizens pick up the ball and run with it to correct some wrongs?

I am afraid the fix has been put in for the elections. A poster recognized the fact that ONLY a third party candidate will follow the constitution and both the other parties control who can get past their war chests and media mud slinging. You will see the 2010 elections being a defense of the good ole boys network complete with massive overkill wherever a race is close to being won by a third party candidate, fraud included. The courts are loaded against any suit challenging the powers of the now untouchable mob in DC. They just toss a bone out to the people now and then to prevent a revolt but they insidiously continue the march toward total domination and will soon try to disarm the public as the military boys get edgy with the state of affairs and are kept from showing an iota of dissent. This country needs to throw these bums out sooner than later and a good time would be when congress is off session. Constitutionally that is the only legal time they may be arrested and charged in their home states. This is the issue with standing, DC is not a legal venue for removal. All the lawyers and judges would have you all believe that DC is the only place to file charges too because they are all about delay until they can secure their power. These hoodlums know the danger they are in too as the vast majority were involved in seating the illegal candidate knowing full well this would mean they could never be brought to a court to face justice. They have no intention of leaving office to see what happens either, vote or not.

While I am pleased with the unexpected support Ron Paul received during the election, my feeling is that this ship has already sailed. We have failed to find a solution to the man in the red suit with the white ermine trim. Too many sheeple just can’t resist the temptation to get something they think is free, or better yet, a rich person is paying for it. We have the best product in the world, freedom, and we can’t manage to sell it to a majority of our population. Politicians are the most generous people in America – - with other peoples money. The job of elected official is just too good to allow principle to stand in the way of a great job with tremendous perks. We as conservatives/libertarians have allowed ourselves to be seduced by soothing rhetoric and a glossy ACA voting record. We have taught our leaders that we are easily fooled, and lulled into a state of acceptance and the usual back slapping, baby kissing tricksterism that assures us that all is well. Where were all of the voices we were depending on to inform us and resist our enslavemnet on the “big stage?” They were silent, that’s where they were. Perhaps they were fearful of being accused of racism were they to go on the attack with Obama policies, can’t tell you, I wasn’t there, but something is rotten in Denmark, as the saying goes. Forgive my iconoclastic p.o.v., but I’ve been trying to figure this stuff out for many moons. Let me help you avoid having to wonder about my meaning by saying: I think this battle was lost on Nov. 3, 1964 with the landslide victory of LBJ and the introduction of the war on poverty, the drug culture The Great Society, and the birth of do your own thing ism. That was the date America died. Why then have I continued to fight? Because one never knows what will happen when all is said and done. There’s many a slip twixt the cup and the lip. One thing IS for sure, and that is that if you quit the fight the outcome is preordained. Keep punchin, you never know when we’ll land a haymaker that turns the tide in our favor. Lest I forget, hate is also a wonderful motivator. Hate for what the left has already done, hate for what they are currently doing, and hate for what they will do if given the opportunity. I may have picked the losing side, but I would rather lose fighting for something worthwhile and right, than win fighting for the enslavement of Americans. Fight on!

Just a few things i found in this HR3996 Bill.
    Topic: Federal Reserve
END THE FED – HR 3996, the Automatic Bailout Bill of 2009
HR 3996 will also formalize the today’s President’s Working Group on Financial Markets, or the “Plunge Protection Team” formed after the 1987 stock market crash to perform interventions in the financial markets and lead Presidents to make misleading statements like “the financial markets are strong and solid… This economy of ours is on a solid foundation… core inflation is low” from January 2008. The new group will be named the Financial Services Oversight Council and consist of economic central planners Treasury Secretary Timothy “Turbo Tax” Geithner, FED Chairman Ben Bernanke, FDIC Chairwoman Sheila Bair, the Comptroller of the Currency, the Director of the Office of Thrift Supervision, the Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, the SEC Chairman, NCUA Chairman, and the CFTC Chairman. (pages 5-7/253)

HR 3996 will cede power to the FED to force companies to obey the FED’s orders if the company’s actions or size pose a threat to their own “safety and soundness” or to the “financial stability of the United States,” which are both incredibly vague and undefined terms.

Section 1105 gives the FED the power to force financial holding companies into bankruptcy: “an involuntary case may be commenced by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System against an identified financial holding company.” (page 38/253)

Section 1701 gives the FED “in unusual and exigent circumstances” power to authorize immediate bailouts and assistance to any “individual, partnership, or corporation.” (page 253/253) This enables the FED to neatly bypass Congress when the next crisis occurs.

HR 3996 will be a colossal failure. There is simply no way a centralized body of bureaucrats like the newly formed Financial Services Oversight Council can adequately oversee every major corporation in the United States. Far from guaranteeing the taxpayer will not be robbed to pay failed Wall Street businesses, the bill secures “automatic bailouts” for the banksters and powerful corporations. While some may seem the regulations and control as helpful preventative actions to prevent economic strife, “too big to fail” is an outright lie. An orderly bankruptcy process of debt liquidation and asset reevaluation sold by the insolvent firms and bought by solvent, stronger firms results in the quickest possible recovery.

    • Jana

Dennis I agree with you. We should have let them go bankrupt. As it is all that has happened is they have stifled the very ones that would have created new jobs. This bail out fiasco has tied everyone’s hands and seem to be trying to make it seem like its all so hopeless. If they would get out of the way, the good old ingenuity of the people of the United States would take over and we would come out of this recession. Instead, Obama wants to control everything.

  • Mickey

According to the Constitution, only Congress can mint money. Our problems started when against the Constitution, the Fed was given the power to mint our money. If we follow the Constitution, we could get out of debt much sooner. Let Congress mint our money like the Constitution says.

  • RayD

Listen people. It doesn’t make any difference if your Democratic,Republican or independant or somewhere in between. If your sick of the crooks in power vote them out. This Jan. is a good time to start. Do as I did when Obama was running for office. Listen to what the say and then go back and check their record. He said tou can evaluate me by the people that surround me,ie Van Jones the admitted communist. Anita Dunn, who says her two favorite people to listen to was Mao and Sister Treasa. I give the sister a pass but Mao only slaughtered about 70,000,000 of his own people. He loves Reverand Wright whom he listened to for twenty years spewing out God Damn America and his other racist tripe. But of course Obama never heard that stuff before. He only went to the Reverand’s church for twenty years. Lets not forget Bill Ayers and his wonderful wife who like to set off bombs to kill people. Just like the Oklahoma bomb terriost. Ayers and Obama are still good friends, probably still have a love fest once in a while in the old neighborhood. Obama has more Czars that are Socialist, Marxist or communist sourrounding him then Putin. Obama is a liar, yes that’s what I said a damn liar. I don’t understand why he can’t be impeached or recalled. Clinton was impeached for having a little on the side and yet Obama can’t be impeached for draging the constitution through the mud, and his constant lying and in my opinion puting this country in danger for his shoddy security. We have people crossing the borders like they was on their way to a Blue Lite Special at KMART. He’s getting ready to head to Copenhagen to give away are country, the part he has not yet given to China. I could go on like this all night about this man and his corrupt crew. But I will stop for now and say the one thing that angers me more then anything he does. THE WAY THIS MAN TREATS OUR BEST OF THE BEST AND THATS ARE MILITARY MEN AND WOMEN. I listen to what this man said when he was running for the office of the Presidency. Should he had been elected, NO, not if you listened to his words and looked through the crap he was spewing. I voted for Sarah Palin not for John McCain. McCain would have made a lousey President, just not quite as lousey as Obama.
Keep your powder dry folks. It ain’t over till it’s over.

    • Claire

I believe the China mess was in play before Obama became President. Tell it like it is.

      • Jana

Claire, you need to reread what he said. He did not say the China thing started after Obama became Pres., but in my opinion he sure has made it worse.

        • Claire

Hi Jana!!!! I hope you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Things always get worse before they get better it seems. I sure hope things start getting better. It took years to get into this mess and it will take years to get out, if ever. That China mess is tricky. We owe them so much money that we have to walk on eggshells with them. It almost seems like we have to kiss their butt now. I have often thought that if China wants to, they could damn near destroy us. Thanks to our corrupt politicians we are really paying the price. God help us, we are in one heck of a mess. I’ll keep praying for a miracle. That is what it is going to take.
All of us have to be really careful in voting next year. It is going to be tough. I keep remembering Jessie Ventura winning in Minnesota a few years back. Maybe there will be a big upset next year. We really don’t want the Dems or the Republicans. It will just be more of the same, they will not work together. But then again, they will not work togather regardless of who is elected. It is so sad since we are paying them to do nothing but create a more dysfunctional congress.
Illinois has had so many governors put into prison and now this filthy Blagojvich (spelling?) is still walking around free, raking in the dough with his petty performances on TV. He sure got his 15 minutes of fame on TV. He is a despicable worm. A couple of years ago, our Sheriff hit a telephone pole–he was drunk—-did he get arrested? Did he get a DUI? No. He came out smelling like a rose. And he got re-elected!!! Anyone else would be thrown in jail and lose their license and everything else that goes with a DUI. This bothers me. What are Americans thinking when they keep voting in people like this? We have done some of this damage ourselves by not paying attention to what is going on and we keep blindly voting the same idiots into office again. Just because they are Republican. Just because they are Democrat. It is time we as Americans stop thinking about the “Party” that is running for office.

          • Jana

Claire, we have so many people that do not pay attention that when they vote, they vote a recognizable name. People are too busy running their lives and they don’t listen to the news or have time to find out what the facts are. And they vote anyway.
Somehow we the people have to wake up and pay attention.

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

Jana – Please tell me where I can hear and get some honest, truthful, unbiased and investigated news coverage. I seem to only get propaganda from the boob tube. There are still a few unbiased radio stations but there air waves can only travel so far through our dirty atmosphere and not everyone has access to the stations.

          • http://donthaveone Beberoni

It doesnt matter what party, these guys in power now have not a clue what to do, or of what they are doing. They are shooting from the hip, and its all blowing up in their face, because they were unqualified in the first place. Shame on the uneducated voters for doing this, and shame on the Republicans for trying to run a 150 year old man for this office.

        • http://Yahoo Dee D

Jana – Claire and everybody else on this site should do as much research as they can about the WTO. So much has been put into action years ago that the stupid brainless nuts were playing games on their lap computers that they could not be listening to what was going on. Lets not ask them to read (especially the small print on any subject) (if they even understood it) before they cast a vote. They also should find out if there are any unknown rules and regulations not visible before a vote is taken. That’s another problem with our representatives. They allow other party members to do their thinking for them.
We should maybe research the RINOS and blue dogs. They are telling us if we are listening what their agenda is. Are we listening?

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

Claire – I think you are correct about the China affair. I have stated before – during Clintons tenure, Hillary made a lot of trips to China.
Wonder why. During Clinton, the NAFTA pack was voted in by a Republican controlled Senate. No own will admit the NAFTA pack was Bush Sr’s toy and was shelved, dusted off and re-submitted under Clinton and passed. Game plans going well.
Under NAFTA, import quota’s become so out of balance that Walmarts were allowed to grow very large peddling foreign wares, which I might add killed a lot of our pets and made our babies and citizens ill and still citizens patronize them. Then our industries started leaving for the cheaper sweat shop labor.
Politics is just one big game and the American citizens have not been able to see the forest for the trees. We sanction and agree with everything our red blooded truthful representatives tell us. We known that everything coming down the pike is not game strategy mapped out by our political players in advance.
Did anyone besides me question the comradeship between Clinton and Bush Sr.? They really expected Hillary to be our next president and their apple cart was over turned. Obama won – just maybe there were enough people to see through the games being played on us and was the catalyst that put Obama in office. Maybe not while the NO NO’S and blue dogs job is to bring all American players back into the game plan. Something to think about. Can I be wrong???

        • http://Yahoo Dee D

Claire – Could the game plan be to bankrupt our country and every citizen to the point we will not resist the final piece in the puzzle in there game plan – - THE ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT or THE ONE WORLD ORDER? Could that be the final game play? Worth researching and trying to learn.

          • Jana

Yes DD, and Obama is right in there with it too. The Clintons, The Bush’s and Carter, as well as Obama.

        • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Heck man, come on. Bill Clinton sold them technical secrets. Yes he did. As the time passes, more and more and more come out about the damning things this guy did.

    • Claire

Rev. Wright doesn’t scare me. Neither does Ayers. I’ve edited higher education manuscripts where Ayers was a contributor and he was as normal as the rest of the authors. He wrote a chapter and I found nothing about his writing that scared me.
The Islam/Muslim crap scares me. These nuts have infiltrated America. To me, Ayers and Wright are harmless now, but the others are the ones to watch. They have their little groups in every state in America. They have to be watched.

      • Jana

        Claire,
Ayers and Wright scare me. They both know how to be correct and act correct, but they also like Satan know just when to twist facts and convince innocent young minds. That is what is happening right now in our Colleges and Universities.
Ayers may appear to be normal but when he makes statements that he did not do enough when he was young shows an unrepentant heart, and a twisted one at that. Yes, because of his position and influence, he scares me for our youth, and for their future.
I agree with you about the Islam / Muslim situation being very scary. Also, what scares me about that is Obama seems to be enamored with them. His Grandmother is after all a Muslim herself. They are also infiltrating the White House, besides every state in America. They are trying to get Sharia Law as part of the Law of this land too.

        • Claire

Jana—I know what you mean about Ayers–possibly a wolf in sheep’s clothing. And I agree about the college and university professors but right now some of them are certainly worse than Ayers.
I am more concerned about the Islam factor. What I have read/edited about them has really bothered me. I knew they committed atrocities but I just did not realize how evil and to the extent they performed them. Horrific!! And what about some of the other groups here in America? The ones that have loaded up with ammo and have an arsenal? They scare me sometimes because I think of a time bomb going off at any moment. We do need to get a grip on some of ways of thinking-when we act unrationally it will come back to bite us in the butt. We cannot go off half-cocked. Sometimes some people do have the best iintentions but again, it can turn out to be a disaster. I know you can read between the lines and know what I am trying to say here. Have a good day!

          • Jana

Claire, yes, I do understand what you are saying.
About Ayers. He is still a very very radical man. He has the President’s ear. This is scary. Also, he is one of the ones responsible for teaching some of our current professors. Those who are taught should become better than the teacher.

About the others that are very (supposedly) right wing radicals (I say supposedly because the way they go about advocating making their own military and going to war with guns on our government does not seem right, so how can it be right wing?) they are wrong. We vote on things, they don’t. They have some leader that tells them what to do and I think they get an adrenalin rush out of it. These people are thugs, gangs who are just looking for a reason to do what they do.

I have also been studying about Islam. They intend to take us over, by out-populating us. They are already having a great influence in this country. They already have Sharia laws in our banking system. They are trying to get it embedded into our court system. Islam is a lot about male dominance over the woman, and if they can get it in our courts, then they will have the right to beat or behead any woman that tries to get a divorce, or to continue their ‘honor killing’ of their women that disobey them for any reason they want. One more way they have of control is to throw acid on these women. If a man wants a woman to marry him and she refuses, acid can be thrown on her to disfigure her and there is no recourse for this action.

    • DaveH

      Ray,
Clinton was not impeached for “having a little on the side”. The media made it into a sex issue, but the real issue was his lying to a Grand Jury.

  • Claire

DeeD—I have listened to Dennis Kucinich a lot and I also believe him to be a very honest politician. You are right, he is small in stature and that is a darn shame. More people should listen to what he has to say. If he had campaigned for the Presidency I would have voted for him. He needs money to run a campaign and this will never happen. It makes me sick.
The Republicans are a party of “No.” They started their office terms with the main goal to never agree with anything. Are they thinking of America? Heck no, all they are thinking of is getting re-elected. They disgust me. They waste the taxpayers money by going to the tea parties when they should be in the White House doing the job we are paying them to do. We are literally paying them to do nothing. The terminology they use calling their marches “tea parties” is really an abomination. Their tea parties are not held in the same spirit compared to the original “Boston Tea Party.” At least the people involved in the Boston Tea Party many many years ago were honest in their efforts. The Republicans are trying to make a statement by having these tea parties so they will be re-elected but as far as I am concerned they have fallen short. I am all for marches and expressing one’s ideas and demands for freedom and honesty but their marches are filled with hate and stupidity. For the most part, they are making themselves look like idiots.
There is NO way I would vote for any of them with the next election. The Republicans here in town held a tea party about 3 weeks ago and about 100 people attended. Well, to make a long story short they got mad because the local newspaper did not print pictures, they just printed an article. Well, we heard about that for 2 weeks.
I still say Medicare is a good program. But if one remembers, the Republicans were against it, and then Bush wanted to “privatize” Medicare. Geez, I can’t remember but didn’t he want to play the stock market with it? Help me on this.
And what about “goodie two-shoes Boehner?” The useless person with the suntan? Now they have found out he has spent a fortune for golf outings at our expense? I could go on and on. The Blue Dog Democrats should become Republicans. They don’t want to work together for the betterment of America. The party of “NO” is a party of nothing. They are a shambles. And to think I have been a registered Republican for 30 years. I am ashamed to even say it.
But, I still voted for the person I believed would do a good job.
Now we have a rising star—Aaron Schock–Republican Congressman here in Illinois. Look up his web site. McCain loves him. Aaron is 27 years old, and he is on the move. He is one greedy little booger.
Yes, for the most part the Democrats are trying to get some things accomplished. The Health Reform will be amended in many ways before all is said and done and it will be interesting to see what happens. You know, it doesn’t make any difference who is President, he is damned if he does and damned if he don’t.
Human nature can be fickle. We have to blame whomever is in charge when things don’t go the way we want them to go. Sure, we think this way would be better or that way would be better. Things will never change, we are never satisfied. Like Afghanistan, I feel we should pull out and bring our soldiers home. These people in these countries will never change. Let them kill each other off. They have lived like that since the beginning of time. This is a war that never should have happened. When 9/11 happened we should have dropped a bomb on them like we did to Japan. An eye for an eye. This is harsh, but it would have made one heck of a statement. God knows what would have happened if we had done this. But we can no longer be the world’s keeper nor peacemaker. We can’t even take care of our own country.

    • http://Yahoo Dee D

Claire- Cheney wanted to privatize Social Security. I say Cheney because that evil looking sneak was the monger behind everything Bush is credited with. I feel about every thing he done was for his henchmen and his stock portfolio. But again whenever a Republican is in office they all start figuring ways to destroy the successful program a Democrat got passed to try to help the middle class citizens in our retiring twilight years. If every administration would return all the surplus money (both Dems and Repubs – and this will happen when pigs learn to fly) that they have mis-appropriated it would be the richest and most successful program in existance from its birth in the 30′s. When Republicans are in office they keep adding non-productive and non contributing groups allowing them to draw benefits from the program.
I have friends who worked most of their lives in the public service domain and are not even eligible to draw SS. Like career service personnel they used to be able to work in the private sector, pay into the system for so many quarters and be able to draw benefits. But Regan-nomics changed all that. Their investment in SS went down the drain and they could not receive a penny in return. That’s Democracy Republican style. No one sees it.
I have always tried to vote for the best one for America’s benefit but after my vote did not count in 2000 and the court installed who the Republicans wanted in office – I will never again vote for another right wing politician. It scares me of the many party loyalist there are in this country.
Yes, the Republicans were dead set against Medicare and against Medicade. They are right now trying to justify cutting out some of the benefits the programs allow and our citizens are buying into it. They don’t really want the main street Americans to get any rewards for the labors and sacrifices they’ve given all our lives for.
But the lack-a-dazie and non thinking mood American citizen seem to be in and growing worse scares me for our future generations and our country. Will our children and any of the future generations ever have a chance to live in the America we were fortunate enough to grow up in at one time? Again, maybe whenever pigs learn to fly. I feel pity for the ones who will have to try to survive with the oncoming New World Order and having to live with themselves for allowing our once great country to become a service nation parallel to a 2nd or 3rd rate country and not the leader we once were when decent people were elected to represent us? Will any of them be willing to face and admit what they have allowed to happen? I doubt it because it’s oh so easy to point a finger and blame someone else or try to convince them to do our bidding and vote our way.
I agree on Afghanistan – Bring our troops home. But then again what have they got to look forward to? No jobs, very few avenues to make a living, no homes and on and on.
We should never have gone into Iraq in Cheney’s illegal war based on lies. They had nothing to do with 9/11. But our government thinks so little about human sacrifice they allow our children to try to be the watchdogs for every country in the world except our own.
I have not looked Aaron up yet, but I will.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

I wish to God we would privatize social security. I wish it was that way from day one when they started sucking money out of me that wont be there when Im ready to draw from it. Had it been privatized, Id be a pretty rich guy now, as would the most of us. But government intervention into this, ended up just like everything else they run, you know, the country, medicare, medicaid, social security, U.S. Postal Service, the public school system, all broke. Every stinking one of them, losing money and bankrupt. Now you liberals actually want to trust them running the health care system. You have got to be crazy or on drugs. Take a look at the big picture lady. Does their track record on running things look good to you? Take a look at this list. They have failed in everyone, and people like you want to trust them with more. Sheeples.

        • eyeswideopen

Berb, you don’t get it do you? If it would have been privatized, it would be broke, as private means investment in the stock market. We are lucky that the Repubs were not allowed to privatize Medicare like they wanted or we would have millions without healthcare today.

          • DaveH

You mean broke – like it is now? The Social Security system is not akin to a corporate pension fund which must be funded to the level perceived necessary to pay for current and future retirees. With Social Security, a surplus means simply that the revenues exceed the expenditures. It is a hand-to-mouth system. It is not funded for the future retirees.
You call it protecting the retirees. I call it theft when anybody takes money from another, even if it is “for their own good”. I know that my investment knowledge far exceeds yours, so I think you should let me control your savings “for your own good”. I would do a far sight better than the Government has done with our Social Security payments.

        • coal miner

          Beb,

I think it was England tried to privatise their retirement system and it was disaterous. If the stock markets crash, you have a real problem.

          • DaveH

I have spent much of my life studying markets and investments. And some know-nothings who can’t even balance the budget want to take my money away for my own good? It is theft, plain and simple. I doubt I will ever see the money they have taken from me.

    • coal miner

      Claire,

Well said! Its about time someone said something intelligent, all of I hear is these red neck,snaggle-tooth morons said what they wanted do is get even with the Arabs and impeach Obama. They never come up with anythig comstructive and poor little Sarah Palin sacrificing herself and she was force to quit, because of those horrible liberals spraeding the truth about her.She is making a fortune off her book deals and TV appearences. Thank God most women are not like her. There are some government programs that are vital, social security and medicare are examples.Get rid of the fed?Get real!

      • Claire

coal miner–Palin quit as the governor of Alaska to make all the money she could. Like Dee d says, money talks and I believe actions speak louder than words. She seized the opportunity when she realized she had a fan club. Talk about sheeple! She could care less about the American people. She fits right in with the rest of the greedy politicians. Believe me, if that petition “Women against Palin” ever comes around again, I will sign it. McCain made a mistake and he realized this when he saw what was happening. He was a fool, he shot himself in the foot. I walk the middle of the road and try to vote for the person I think will do the best job and I have to say at least the Democrats are trying to get things done. They aren’t goofing around like the Blue Dogs and the Republicans. These Blue Dogs and Republicans are contributing NOTHING towards creating jobs, energy, the environment, and all. All they are doing is wasting time and MONEY by acting like fools. Geez, they go on about the Democrats being so nasty-who was nastier than the Republican party!!!!! They were hateful as hell during the campaign. Regardless of who is President of the United States, Democrat, Republican, Independent, Whatever, there is no excuse to talk treason, tyranny, and all that garbage. We simply vote them out in the next election if we are not happy. If we are not happy now, then we bug the hell out of our Representatives, Senators, Governors, right on down the line until things get straightened out. After all, WE are paying their salary-THEY WORK FOR US. WE need to have our voices heard.

        • Jackie

Sarah Palin quit her job as governor because of one bogus ethics charge upon another that were brought upon her by hate mongers. In Alaska, the state did not pay for the lawyers and court charges when Palin was brought up on these charges, she had to make the money to pay for them. At last count it was up to $250,000. Not one of the charges were found to have any validity. The hatred spewed at Sarah Palin is irrational!!!

          • Jana

Sarah Palin scares the left because she speaks common sense. She speaks out for the common people which so many of our Reps. don’t. She also has the ability to rally the people behind her. Therefore, the left must do their best to discredit her, after all common sense cannot be brought back.

          • eyeswideopen

Jana, she scares people as she can’t even keep Iraq and Iran seperate in her thoughts while speaking to Hannity.

The U.S. Congress passed the Federal Reserve Act in 1913 (the first year in Woodrow Wilson’s presidency). This placed control of the U.S. money supply in the hands of private banking families with international ties. However, even today, most Americans think of the Federal Reserve System (no doubt from its title) as an agency of the Federal Government.
For example, John L. Lewis (not the old labor boss) was injured on July 27, 1979, by a vehicle owned by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Assuming the U.S. Government was responsible, he sued the United States for damages (under the Federal Tort Claims Act) in a federal District Court. The United States moved to dismiss for lack of jurisdiction, which the court granted, stating: a “Federal Reserve Bank is not a federal agency.” Incredulous, Lewis appealed (Lewis v. United States, 680 F.2d 1239, CA9, 1982), but the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, affirmed. At p. 1241, Judge Poole said:

“We conclude that the Reserve Banks are not federal instrumentalities for purposes of the FTCA, but are independent, privately owned and locally controlled corporations.”

And these corporations are not traded on any stock exchange.

You are correct James. As well as the Federal postal service. All think it is a government entity (not) but they just don’t get it. No one tries to educate themselves any longer. Let others do their thinking for them and shove their way to the front of the line for any and all handouts.

  • Bob Saenz

I have been one of those who trusted the media and the Government all my life. After the destruction of our economy I began taking the time to research the causes. I see from the above comments that every American is doing the same. Read, read, read. It’s the only way to find the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. You won’t find it in the main stream news any more. This is our only hope for holding on to our liberty. Let’s all remember that our forefathers once left Europe to find the principles of liberty which we are now about to loose. Now it’s time to stand up and fight to preserve those rights and principals like they did.

  • RayD

I am and old senior. Most of you people don’t know what freedom really is. I doubt you ever will. So much has been given to you by your parents so most don’t know what real work entails. I pray for you to learn true values and what hard work is, it helps to build character and love for your neighbor. You can laugh all you want and say I’m just an old fool, but without God your shooting yourself in the foot. We deserve the sorry government we have. Not enough people listen to the true word of Obama. We got the change most of you asked for ( but coming from a liar it’s probably not the change you wanted )Now you have to live with his kind of change. It’s so disgusting to see the men and women die during WW1, WW11, Korea, Viet Nam and all the other battles of the past to end up with a piece of crap like Bush and now Obama. Don’t we as American’s ever learn. We might have one more shot to save our beloved Constitution don’t blow it again no matter what party you belong too.

    • http://Yahoo Dee D

Hello old tar RayD- Here’s another old timer. We’ve got a lot of dirt under our feet and fingernails. Yet the young ones feel we are not worth listening to. They will learn in due time and I hope it won’t be too late for their awakening.
I had 2 brothers in WWll – Husband in Korea – Brother in Nam. To think the reception the vets of Korea and Nam got when they were lucky enough to make it back. They didn’t start the war and they were drafted, not volunteers. How many protesters left America to avoid the draft? Just think what they could have accomplished had they hung together and fought the draft instead of being draft dodgers.
The present day generation has had it much too easy and they know so little and think they are the smarter ones.

  • RayD

That’s right Dee D. I had two brothers in WW11 and many cousins. I am a Korean Vet. I remember the stars that people hung in their living room windows indicating how many of their son died while serving. I remember the gas rationing, how tough it was to get sugar or buy tires for your car. It seemed everything was rationed for the war effort. My two older brother’s joined the navy ans seen action in the South Pacific, ie; Guam, Saipan, Truk and other South Pacific Islands. My third brother tried joining all the branches but he was 4F and they wouldn’t take him. He cried like a baby because he wanted to be with his brother’s. I asked both of my brothers how it was being on board ship and fighting. They have recently died, but both of them answered, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t scared to death. But at the same time they were proud and new they would win. They both said there wasn’t even a thought of losing. They both died recently in their 80′s. They told me during the war they were scared but it’s different now. Not so much for the military but the country. Obama is more freightening than fighting the Japaneese. We are not as free as we were, and between Bush and Obama this nation is being ripped apart from within. My brothers thought Bush and Obama were traitors to the country. I agree with them and like I’ve said before. We might have one chance to make it right. During the next election watch and listen and question these people running for office. Demand answers and don’t be afraid to ask questions. I just happen to be a conservative but to hell with the party, vote for the best person. We need some good common scents people in office. We don’t need people with three degrees. We need people that can reform healthcare for instance using about a dozen pages, not thousands. A person that wants small government and goes strictly by the constitution is what I want. Down with political correctness and down with progressive’s that think our constitution is a living document. Our founding fathers were on the ball when the Bill of Rights and Constitution was passed. Let us not let them down or let our troops down by letting some jerk take it apart. God Bless The United States and All of our men and women that help to protect our rights as Americans.
Merry Christmas to all, even the non belivers that don’t beleive in the Father, the son and the holy Spirit

    Dear All,
Comments on some of the great comments:

s c, Well put and right on!

    Beberoni,Yes, they ARE criminal lawyers!

James, Correct, folks need to understand the difference, the Federal Reserve is not Federal and there are no reserves!

Wanda, I liked Bush too, but both Bush Senior and Bush Junior are members of the CFR & Trilateral Commission. Bush Senior has spoken openly on several occasions in support of a New World Order. And I doubt that their external Christian facade is fooling God! Do the research Wanda…I was disappointed too, but you know, we choose what we want to believe.

Allow me to digress a little and share this amusing anecdote with everyone; At a recent local political meeting, we were asked by one of the speakers to turn to the person either side of us and form a threesome. Each person in the group would then opine as to what they considered needs to be done to get our nation out of this mess. The responses were variations of the usual standard partisan rhetoric, basically verbal political pacifiers. My response was blunt and politically incorrect. I said “End the FED” “Impeach Obama, (although legally that could be a problem)for multiple violations of the constitution”. “Arrest the Czars and throw them in jail for the same reasons”, “Elect Ron Paul as President” and glean out the corruption and greed in Government and Wall St. Of course that would only be a start. The reaction I got from these remarks was silence and shock. I told them that as long as we were kept occupied with Partisan bickering among ourselves, then those that are really calling the shots will be quite happy that we are preoccupied with these distractions while they complete their agenda uninterupted with their usual ‘stealth’. Quite honestly,I got the sense that some of these folks had no idea what I was talking about, although, some that were running for office reacted a little differently to my remarks. Some of them, for the most part, agreed, and suggested that I should dilute my rhetoric to be a little more politically palatable to the delicate ears of those who do not believe this could be happening in the Good ole’ US of A! I find that hard to do when our country is being taken over by this heartless Socialisic Regime!

    • http://Yahoo Dee D

Very well said StanB- Do you think anyone is reading and absorbing the correct message?
I do not want anyone trying to tell me whom I should vote for tho. I do my research and make my own decisions, right or wrong. If I’m wrong I try to correct it on the next go round. But we are and have lost a lot of valuable time to correct many mistakes we all make because we refuse to unite and work together. A lot have the tendency to march to a different drummer due to party loyalties.
I do not try to persuade anyone to do what I want them to do. Read – read – read – research and then be true to themselves for the benefit of their children – grand children and all future citizens and our whole country.

  • http://www.stanelaine.com Stan B

    Hello Dee D,
Yes, I believe those who have done some (thorough) research understand the underlying message. In fact, I have had various (invited) comments deleted on four different occasions on four different issues by those who do ‘not want’ these isues to be made public. I mentioned Ron Paul because he was the best choice for me since Jesus Christ is not running for office…..yet.
Yes, you are right, we fail to realize the urgent need to unite. We need knowledgable people involved who understand the BIG picture. Perhaps we should ask Bob Livingston if bringing these people together is feasible? Here are a few names; Bob Livinston, G.Edward Griffin, Edwin Vieira and Ron Paul. I have read up on these men and they understand the situation quite thoroughly.

    • http://Yahoo Dee D

Stan B: I appreciate Bob Livingston making this site available for dummies like me to express myself. However I believe he is a staunch one party loyalist, which is his right. I also, in digesting any written information like to zero in on a lot of what is not being said and try to discount some personal opinions. I am far from perfect and my mistakes are many. But I am not such a hard head that I will not or can not be comfortable with admitting my mistakes. Respecting all is the only sensible way we have of learning and moving forward. So many go on the defensive and try to belittle and berate any and all with a different view point. That’s wrong.
I know very little of the others you speak of – but I will not remain from not knowing.

    • http://Yahoo Dee D

Stan B: I also have had a few deletions. Our local newspaper is Republican owned which I refuse to subscribe too because of the imbalance in the reporting. I do however go on line and comment in the opinion column. Just today I posted my one and only comment, which they deleted saying I would have to wait awhile before posting another comment. Very tactful way of saying it will not be printed. But freedom of the press is not dead. ?? REALLY.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

All posters—-Does anyone posting on this site know anything about the WTC organization? If so please clue me in. Thank you.

      • http://donthaveone Beberoni

Come on Dee. Be serious. Inbalance in reporting? You must be talking about ABC,CBS,NBC,CNN and MSNBC, the NY Times, the LA Times, Chicago Tribune and all the major large newspapers. You think its ok for them to spew their liberal left wing agenda, and you call that balance in reporting? Shame on you. What a stinking lie. Shame on you Dee. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to understand that these listed above are as biased to the left as one can get. Get real.

        • Jana

BB, it is odd that out of six News Networks, only one is Right and the rest are Leftist, yet the one that is Right is ridiculed on a regular basis, they make up names such as Fauxx and try to put it down all of the time.
          Odd.

        • http://Yahoo Dee D

Bebe: I will reiterate. The ability to ingest and understand the material lies with each and every individual. It is easy for us to grasp anything that goes with our way of thinking and we have the tendency to deny, block out or rail against anything we are unable to accept as a truth. There lies a major problem with all of us.

        • http://Yahoo Dee D

Bebe: Fauxx Noise is not news, just a common every day propaganda machine and mouth piece for the likes of Hannity, Beck, Limpball, van Susteen and O’Reilly. AND THEY LIE.

          • Jana

D, that is your opinion. See, you are trying to influence again.

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

No Jana: Just voicing MY opinion. I have some lies on tape that Fauxx Noise spewed.

          • Jana

            D. hmmm lies on tapes? You are aware that some of the programs on Fox are opinions???
Did you copy these yourself or were they sent to you?

        • Claire

Egad, what about Fox noise? What about the other right-wing newspapers, radio stations etc?
They are ALL ALIKE–Left or right- they just idolize different parties.

          • DaveH

All anyone can do is read as much as possible, listen as much as possible, and sort things out based on our experiences and intelligence. I don’t always agree with Foxnews, but they present a lot more information to absorb than any of the other MSM stations or newpapers.
Dee accuses them of lying. Ok, Dee, give us some examples.

          • eyeswideopen

Dave, how about just correcting someone like Bush’s ex press secretary, who stated while speaking to Hannity, that we had not been attacked while Bush was President. Or how about correcting Palin, when she was mixing up Iraq and Iran? When you don’t make a correction to an error being broadcast as fact, you are complicite in fostering a non truth or lie. Anyone listening who missed the errors will assume both of those speakers were speaking the truth, as we all know that no one on Fox ever lies or misconstrues the truth now do they? When you knownlying let a lie or error stand as the truth, you cannot claim to have intergrity or ethics.

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

Poor little Jana: I am to stupid to operate a VCR – guess that makes me a total wash-out. Gee – wish I was as smart as you. I recon I c
should start watching Fauxx Noise and get an edchemacation like you. Reckon it might help me a little?? Now I’m trying to be cute and entertain you.
As I have stated on other posts – I tape pollytisions when they are talking. As most people, I have a short memory span to. When re-election comes around – I review my tapes and vote accordingly. Try it sometime – it’s great brain fodder. It’s also great in learning who the liars are.

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

Ok Dave- One example- Mark Foley – His picture was shown on Fauxx and under his mugg shot it said he was a Democrat from Florida. Wasen’t Foley a Conservative from Florida?
The two latest LIES (oops mistakes) were the beautiful autumn hues of the various orange, rust colored and red leaves that appear every fall.
I don’t believe I’ve seen the trees so green and full of life as the last several thousand of protesters in Washington that Fauxx showed in not one scene but two. The head count was questioned also. Will three suffice or do you want me to research my tapes and reveal more?
Naw – some wouldn’t believe it if I did waste my time on it.

people who take the time to leave work (2009 no work)and go to the booth dont know more than 1/3 of votes are not counted. even voting
    is corupt!

    • Jana

Brian, you are so right. There were many many military votes that were not counted. These are only the people that put their lives on the line for our freedom, yet their votes aren’t deemed important.

    • http://Yahoo Dee D

Brian: Don’t forget provisional votes. My daughter and her husband has been voting in the same precinct, faithfully, for years, were told in 2004 their votes would be placed in the provisional cubbyhole. My daughter didn’t understand and tried to get a reason for the new guidelines and a guarantee they would be counted. She was laughed at. The fact that we live in a predominantly Republican area had nothing to do with the new standard that seemed to materialize out of thin air over night. Yes, I truly believe the 2004 polls were rigged. But it didn’t work in 2008 because there were too many on alert.
We didn’t have to bother going to the polls in 2000, the courts done the job for us.

  • James

Rather than have Ron Paul “enforce the Constitution,” he should just have Congress live within its limits. The U.S. Constitution created the federal government, and delegated certain powers to it in Aarticle I, Section 8. For example Art. I, Sec. 8, Cl. 5 reads: “The Congress shall have power to coin Money, regulate the value Thereof, and of foreign coin…” The Constitution did not empower Congress to delegate that authority to a private banking system which prints paper money. Thus, the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 is unconstitutional. Write your congressmen and tell them to repeal that Act, and do what the constitution commands: “coin money.”

    • DaveH

The Federal Reserve is semi-private. Regardless, I don’t know if abolishing them would solve our problems. But they definitely should be forced to open their books. I’m afraid that Congress would make an even bigger mess out of our money. Probably the best course of action would be to educate people more thoroughly on money matters in our school system. We need to ride herd on the Congressmen who are allowing and even promoting the weakening of our unbacked currency.
We need to stop the wild spending of our Government regardless of the Party in power. People need to realize that for the government to take money from some people and give it to others is nothing more noble than theft.
Big Government is not the solution; it is the problem. The main beneficiaries of Big Government is the Governors.

      • James

DaveH, I agree that “Audit the Fed” should be the first step. That would expose who got the billions of dollars from the TARP program, info that Ben Bernanke said he didn’t have. Federal Reserve banks have the power to decide who may borrow money, and how much. Through that they pretty much control the direction of the economy, and who gets rich from it. Leaving such power in the hands of internationalists, is detrimental to America’s future, it harnesses Americans to their agenda.

    Hello Dee D,
The opinions & views of the names I mentioned do, of course, differ somewhat, but they do agree on the facts.
Edwin Vieira has written extensively on The Constitution,Federal Reserve and unconstitional taxes (16th. amendment ) etc.
Aaron Russo is a rough diamond, but on the same page with Edwin Vieira.
G.Edward Griffin has done a masterful study in his book; “The Creature from Jekyll Island” He takes you on a complete hisorical journey from The Rothschilds Dynasty-Bank of England(European counterpart of the Federal Reserve)-The Schiffs,The Warburgs, J.P.Morgan through to the Rockefellers….and the Federal Reserve.
The WTC? Depends on what organization you are seeking. Google WTC and they have several listings.
My deleted comments were from articles in “The St. Petersburg Times”, “Bay News 9″ and “Human Events” all on different issues relating to the political ‘mess’ There were several hundred invited comments on these stories but those that addressed specific issues were deleted. Yes, I queried the deletions, it was either delvery failure due to some computor coded reason, or simply inaccessible..I’m a novice with computors, but I’m sure a more knowledgable computor person could have investigated it more thoroughly.
Freedom of the press? Well, you can interpret these deletions any way
you choose. I see it as evidence of censoring. Monioring e-mail for specific content and substance and removing it. The question is; by whom? and for what purpose? It’s good that you are keeping an open mind Dee D. Hope everyone had a nice thanksgiving.
P.S. James is right on track, the 1913 Federal Reserve Act is blatently unconstitutional and the primary cause of all our woes. As to who is responsible….read “The Creature from Jekyll Island”

Thank you Stan: I will do some catching up. It’s amazing – everyone is a genius at a few things that interest them and complete idiots on many many more topics.
I understood your message and did not notice wrong spelling. I use the excuse that my finger stuttered or I’m using phonics. Anything for a laugh, which we all could use a lot more of.
Merry Christmas every one. I hope Santa fills our stockings with anything but coal.

    • James

Stan B, Thank you. Here’s more of what I wrote back than.
Also, Federal Reserve Banks are not listed under “U.S. Government” offices in any phone book, their employees are not civil servants, and they have no government franking privileges. However, and contrary to other non-governmental corporations, 12 U.S.C. 531 – Exemption From Taxation, reads: “Federal Reserve Banks, including the capital stock and surplus therein, and the income derived there-from shall be exempt from Federal, State, and local taxation, except taxes upon real estate.”
A few days before the Federal Reserve Act was enacted, Senator Henry Cabot Lodge wrote a letter to Senator Weeks and had it published in the Congressional Record. It reads in part:

My Dear Senator Weeks: The powers vested in the Federal Reserve Board seem to me highly dangerous… The bill as it stands seems to me to open the way to a vast inflation of the currency. …I cannot vote for it as it stands, because it seems to me to contain features and to rest upon principles in the highest degree menacing to our prosperity, to stability in business and to the general welfare of the people of the United States.

The Federal Reserve Bill was presented to President-elect Woodrow Wilson in 1912, which was then passed on December 23, 1913, with barely enough congressmen present to constitute a quorum. The Bill originated on Jekyll Island, Georgia (1910-1912) at meetings of private bankers. (Jekyll Island was then owned by the bankers who wrote the Bill.) Executives representing the banks of J.P. Morgan, Rockefeller and Kuhn, Loeb & Co. were there, as was Senate Republican Leader Nelson Aldrich.
Paul Warburg (of Kuhn, Loeb & Co.) directed the proceedings and designed the primary features of the Bill. Another bank Executive, Frank Vanderlip (President of National City Bank of New York) in his autobiography of 1935 (From Farm Boy to Financier), stated:

I was as secretive, indeed I was as furtive as any conspirator. Discovery, we knew, simply must not happen, or else all our time and effort would have been wasted. If it were to be exposed that our particular group had got together and written a bank bill, that bill would have no chance whatever of passage by Congress…I do not feel it is any exaggeration to speak of our secret expedition to Jekyll Island as the occasion of the actual conception of what eventually became the Federal Reserve System. [Emphasis added]

Let’s remember, Jesus ran the money changers out of the temple.

      • Jana

        James,
That was very inforative. Sen. Henry Cabot Lodge was an intelligent man and has been proven right.

  • http://www.stanelaine.com Stan B

Apologies for the spelling. My focus was on the substance and not the spelling.

    • Jana

      Stan:
Hey, that happens to all of us.

  • http://www.stanelaine.com Stan B

    Hello Dee D,
No genius here, just a recently naturaized US citizen who decided to investigate how the political machine runs the country before deciding to vote. As a result,I discovered more than I bargained for!
It is very frustrating at times because I want to crawl through the TV screen and tell Glenn Beck to tell the American people the “rest of the story” He has yet to share how WE THE PEOPLE can do our own research and draw our own conclusions. I suspect he is ‘censored’ because the Fox Networks are owned by Rupert Murdock, Murdock is a CFR member, and that may explain it. The ‘research’ itself is quite a challenge because it requires a vast amount of time to read & study. I’m retired, and other than my music, I’ve been free to study.

    • http://Yahoo Dee D

Stan B: Welcome naturalized citizen. Thank you for going the legal and correct avenue. It is truly amazing how well legalized citizens hunger for factual information concerning our country.
Take all the illegal immigrants in our country. No one seems to be able to see how our greedy government is using them for cheap labor and instilling them as a wedge in our everyday life.
It is a game that has been taking place for years – grooming all for the inevitable. For those that read the Bible – the truth is there for all of us to read and be forewarned.
I also and retired and I have the time to research much more now than I did while trying to work and raise my family.
I have learned more history about my country through life experiences and research than I ever began to learn in school.
I also welcome any differing opinions. We all can learn from each other if we want to really learn. I would never call anyone a liar but I will research what they say and form my own opinions.
I try to ignore defensive situations, especially when it’s obvious they allow others to do their thinking for them. Alas, that’s human nature and I love them all like brothers and sisters.
Fox employees must follow Murdock’s guidelines or join the unemployment lines. But when anyone is willing to sell their souls for a paycheck – that speaks volumes for their character. Again, just my opinion. I would like to believe I have a better moral character. I don’t think I could ever spread hatred and violence especially with a large audience listening to me. But the old saying – Blind leading the blind.

      • Jana

        DD, You stated:

“I also welcome any differing opinions. We all can learn from each other if we want to really learn. I would never call anyone a liar but I will research what they say and form my own opinions.
I try to ignore defensive situations, especially when it’s obvious they allow others to do their thinking for them. Alas, that’s human nature and I love them all like brothers and sisters.”

The sad part is you think that anyone that does not agree with you is someone who “allows others to do their thinking for them.”

        • http://Yahoo Dee D

Jana and Dave; I do not try to put anyone down and I do read all opinions. But you keep shoving and I shove back after awhile.
Why do you two think you have to go on the defense and attack?
You in particular Jana – You feel you have to single out one in particular and rail. You keep punching and nit picking. Well you are not woman enough to really make me angry. I pity you in a way.
If you notice, I ask a lot of questions.
Now Dave, you play on words and say I would not call anyone a liar. If calling a television station for spewing propaganda a liar – I am guilty. Now let me play on words. Why do people defend and uphold any one willing to lie to you? Why do they feel they have to lie? You call lying – mistakes. I have never called anyone on this site a liar and I have not tried to get anyone to vote the way I want them to. I ask questions and I post truths. I want people to use the brains God gave them and decide for themselves which path to walk.
I really try to ignore trouble makers, but I can’t understand why people like to incite others. Maybe some ought to join the tea-baggers and birthers. By all means bow down to personalities like
Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, O’Reilly and Fauxx News. If their type of propaganda floats your boat – have at it. Maybe you could get your jollies if you join some of the protests. At least get a thrill for being a part of the excitement. Then some can say – birds of a feather flock together.

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

            Mentality should be considered also—-
            Jana calls lies- opinions.
            Dave calls lies – mistakes.
            WOW

  • http://Yahoo Dee D

So many people swear by Fauxx Noise. Wonder what they are thinking now?
In the past two weeks they have had to issue two apologies for showing video clips that weren’t from the scenes they said they were from and tried to pass off as news. It’s not likely they just started doing this. This has been going on for years.
But people are a lot more astute in finding it and pointing it out.
I believe Fox does this knowingly because they believe that their viewers are uninformed and will take what they say as Gospel and run with it.

I read this on Sunday a comment that was called into the opinion column and I found it hilarious—- thought I would share it with the ones who will appreciate it and have a sense of humor.
How about a 2012 ticket of Sara Palin and John Boehner? (an Ohio Rep. who says he’s not met any in his district who’s for the health care package – he has really been catching it from his constituents).
A majority feel that would give all late night comedians a field day.
We had one constituent who wanted Boehner to please meet with her and her reasons were intelligent and worth repeating.

    • DaveH

You dis a news service that admits to their mistakes? At least Foxnews makes an attempt to let us know what’s really going on. Without Foxnews, most of us would be unaware of the corruption of ACORN and many other things which the sycophantic MSM neglects to report.
If any politician is a joke to you, it is only because they are human. And for that very reason, they shouldn’t be allowed to micromanage our lives. They have enough trouble running their own lives. Big Government is the problem, not the solution.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

Dave: If Fauxx would give truthful an factual information to it’s viewers that would be an asset. But why do they feel that by peddling lies to the viewers that can be constructive?
Lie to me once – shame on you. Lie to me twice – shame on me.
Yes, I dis liars. Why do you not resent them lying to you? Why do they continue to lie about anything? Could be party loyalists must be lied to? Who allows them to believe that, if they do. They must have a reason.

        • http://Yahoo Dee D

Yes Dave: Big government is the problem. Since we the people are the government, why are things so bad?
Mistakes or out and out prefabrication?
Sorry, I believe too many lies to only be mistakes.

          • Jana

Dee, with this little show of yourself, you have just proved all of my points and you did it to yourself.

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

What posts are you referring to Jana? Since you feel I know not of what I speak why do you even bother to read my posts and you seem to jump on any and all comments I make?
No, I don’t have a story behind why I believe every citizen is an American born immigrant, I believe we all are, except the first to land on American shores – they were the true immigrants – the rest was born to them generation after generation. After the pilgrims a lot of thieves, murderers, deadbeats and imprisoned people were shipped over to America. The countries they were booted out of was glad to get rid of them.
I really don’t care to see people bullied.
Poor Denniso is one prime example of how some bullies function. One starts and others follow the lead. Almost reminds me of playground bullies when I was growing up.
Every one is entitled to their opinions. I read some and never comment.
I keep some comments to myself rather than put people down.
I talk down to no one as I have often remarked – I’m willing to learn – I’m not the sharpest tack in the box and I hope I never stop learning.
You should try it – you might like the experience!

        • DaveH

Make up your mind Dee. From a previous post:
“I would never call anyone a liar but I will research what they say and form my own opinions”.
          And now you say:
“Why do you not resent them lying to you? Why do they continue to lie about anything?”.
I sure hope you aren’t on my jury if am accused of a crime.

          • DaveH

I know very few people I can trust. I usually read between the lines and judge people by their actions much more than by their words.
It is an unfortunate fact of life that the bigger government gets the more people turn to lies to protect what little freedom they have left. The only way to reverse that is to shrink government and get them mostly out of other peoples’ business.

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

You’re safe Dave – I will never serve on jury duty. My God says – Judge not lest you be judged. Those with no sin can cast the first stone.

        • denniso

Fox news is blatantly partisan, owned by a billionaire who doesn’t even pretend to be non partisan and no journalist.

          • DaveH

It’s funny that those “non-journalists” constantly scoop the MSM. And talk about blatantly partisan; you fit that bill very well.

          • Jana

denniso, yes Fox New is partisan, thank goodness. They are the only ones who stand for conservatism. The rest are also blatantly partisan for the left. Out of all of the News Media’s we have just one, and you and your leftist friends can’t stand it.

Where is your tolerance that you always preach? Oh, the only ones who are supposed to be tolerant are the conservatives huh?

        • Jana

          D. I realize that everyone is not perfect like you, but I have even recorded news that was wrong on other channels too. Unlike you I did not save it to PROVE something big. I am a realist and realize that everyone makes mistakes. that’s why they put erasers on pencils. It is not the mistakes it is the out and out lies that the ABC CBS MSNBC and so forth tell or what they omit telling.
Point that finger sweetie, there are four pointing back to you.

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

Keep going Jana – I got my blue jeans rolled up.

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

Jana – I think I said I have a short memory span. I tape politicians and when it’s re-election time, I like to review my tapes. One good way to follow the action and learn who the liars are. Check voting records to see if they meant what they said or said what they meant.

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

Jana: I tried pointing my index finger at you. My middle, ring and little finger were pointing back at me. BUT my thumb was pointing straight up toward GOD. WOW, will wonders never cease?

The bottom line is, as long as we have the Federal Reserve banking system, we’ll have booms and busts. They lower interest rates to entice millions into borrowing and buying houses and things they really can’t afford (which causes a boom) then raise interest rates, which precitates defaults (causing the bust). Banks foreclose, take all their stuff, then the game starts over. True, the borrower took the risk, but didn’t the banksters know he would?

    • DaveH

I agree James. The sheep line up and the people in the know shear them. The only way this cycle will be broken is when the general population starts getting educated in economic matters.

    • denniso

Just a little economics here…a capitalist system is inherently boom and bust. Institutions like the Fed try to smooth out the ups and downs w/varying policies. Don’t believe me??Look back through history before the Fed..have there been booms and busts before? Yes!!!

      • DaveH

I thought you had an Economics degree? The booms and busts are almost entirely a product of Government and Federal Reserve policies.
        Here’s one example:
        http://www.downsizinggovernment.org/energy/regulations

      • James

Denniso, good point, but it isn’t the ‘capitalist’ system that’s at fault, it’s the usury system. “Thou shalt not charge usury, neither shall ye pay it.” With the power to levy usury, and control the amount, the federal reserve banks, by booms and busts, make capitalism look bad. Let those who actually have wealth make loans, instead of banksters, and busts would only be here and there rather than over the entire economy.

Good comments from everyone. I recommend reading the Bob Livingston
article “The New Paradigm” where he mentions ‘looking below the surface’…..this is what the research entails if you want the news behind the news.

The difficulty I think we all have in watching the news is, “Who do we believe?” “Who do we choose to believe?”

For several years (BEFORE I became a legalized citizen) O’Reilly, Dobbs, Hannity and Beck were my primary source of news, and personally, I found Fox News to be the most informative, but we need to remember that they are Corporate Media actors and it is, to a certain extent, entertainment. The news will be slanted.

After much research, it gradually became evident that; the public were not getting all the news, and that it is being censored to reflect only the views of that particular media source. Other than the possible exception of Beck, they themselves, are not fully aware of the big picture. Either they know the truth and are not allowed to divulge it, or, they simply do not know the REAL source of Government control.
Your own research will eventually reveal this source, but let me add here that this group of people have (what can be best called) a rather sophisticated security system in place to protect their indentities, which is virtually impenetrable. This is not an exaggeration. The research is going to take a great deal of patience, perseverance and an open mind. I have to say that the scope & complexity of this issue in its’ entirety, is nothing less than mind boggling, but I can guaratee it will be a fascinating journey….but it does get really serious.

Having said that, I sometimes wonder if I would rather have remained ignorant…and then I remember that someone once said that ; Those who have no interest in politics, will be forever ruled by those that do”. I’m sure someone has the more accurate version.

ron paul deserves all americans support. the federal reserve act was passed by congress without a quorum and congress can repeal it . the fed creates fiat money. this has caused the dollar to depreciate 95% since 1913. what most people don’t know is: the fed is a private corp. the main stockholder is the house of rothchild, a one worlder.in order to collect interest on the fiat money congress passed the federal income tax law along with the “fed”. we have been led astray like sheep. between the government and the schools, we have been taught zilch about currency. america could not be conquered by war or religeon. it can be defeated financialy. this is exactly what the one world abama administration has heaped upon us with the debt expansion. the fed was set up by the patient one worlders to defeat us. bob.c,

  • http://www.stanelaine.com Stan B

    Well said bob castronovo,
That’s the shortest version on record of an Historical Saga of momumental proportitions I’ve seen. You covered the Rothscilds Dynasty-Multi-National banking Cartel-Federal Reserve-fiat money-educational indoctrination and (the patient) Socialist globalization of our nation and planet in 10 lines! To think it took G.Edward Griffin seven years of research to write his “Creature from Jekyll Island” But, I have to confess, it was a masterful study.

  • James

The Senate Judiciary Committee recently interviewed President of the Fed Ben Bernanke, and most were condescending. But a senator from Kentucky read the riot act to him and ended his tirade with: “You have indeed become the Creature from Jekyle Island.” I about fell out of my chair.

  • James

Just recently the Senate Judiciary Committee interviewed President of the Fed, Ben Bernanke. Most kowtowed to him, but a senator from Kentucky, after heaping the blame for our financial mess on him, ended his tirade with: “You have indeed become the Creature from Jekyll Island.” I never thought I’d see and hear that! (Things’re lookin’ up?)

  • James

(Sorry for the duplication above, thought I was writing on another topic’s page.) Sixty-eight years ago today, Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, my guess is that something bad will happen to America today.

  • http://www.stanelaine.com Stan B

    Hello James,
It is likely that Bernanke is not familiar with “The Creature from Jekyll Island”
I have been putting out some ‘feelers’ out via enquiries to Candidates running for office. In fact two of them are running against Harry Reid. Some of my questions to them were direct, among them were ” are you a member of the CFR or Trilateral Commission?” The first e-mail from his (Danny Tarkanian) aide said he would ask Danny and get back to me. The second said no, Danny is not a member of either one but he would be happy to speak at their events! I replied and suggested that they may want to do some research and take a closer look into their activities, because it could offer some insights that could, quite possibly, be helpful in preparation for their campaign. In their last last e-mail they thanked me and said they would look into it further to help Danny with foreign issues!
My wife laughed hysterically. I told her they are not stupid, just naive and uninformed.
Tomorrow I hope to repeat the process with another candidate.
It is evident from this that, even candidates running for office (of any kind) are not necessarily aware of the BIG picture….the talking heads that we watch on TV, are, for the most part, clueless……….. BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT DONE THE RESEARCH!!
Incidentally, at political meetings,I have gently touched upon these issues and received similar responses. They really do not know what is happening to their country. Very, very sad.

    • James

Stan B, Great project! I would suggest though that voters should not vote for any candidate of the two major parties. Republicans have made too many compromises with democratic socialism. (I realize that has about as much chance as the proverbial snowball in hell.)

  • http://www.rugbyworldusa.com Bert Hermanus

I was studying something else about this on another blog. Interesting. Your position on it is diametrically opposed to what I read in the first place. I am still pondering over the opposite points of view, but I’m tipped to a great extent toward yours. And regardless, that’s what is so great about modernized democracy and the marketplace of thoughts on-line.
