Ron Paul Blasts Dick Cheney Over Obama Comments

January 13, 2010 by

Ron Paul blasts Dick Cheney over Obama commentsSince President Obama’s inauguration, the man who previously occupied the vice presidential mansion has not tired of criticizing the current commander-in-chief’s foreign policy moves, but he appears to be coming under increasing fire from those who are considered to be his closer ideological allies.

Dick Cheney has gone on record in the past few months saying the administration’s polices—especially the desire to scale down the U.S. involvement in Afghanistan and Iraq, and setting a public timetable to do so—are endangering America’s national security.

However, in a recent appearance on CNN, Rep. Ron Paul (R – Texas), a prominent libertarian, said Cheney’s eight-year tenure caused "a lot of trouble" for America.

"He perpetuated a war in Iraq that was unnecessary and wrong-headed," Paul told the news network, adding "14 or 15 of the terrorists came from Saudi Arabia. We didn’t attack Saudi Arabia, [instead] we attacked Iraq."

"I would say it would be best he not be so critical right now," the Texas congressman concluded.

Paul has long argued that the U.S. involvement overseas stimulates much of the anger encountered in places like the Middle East, and fuels many extremists’ willingness to sacrifice their own lives to fight America.

  • Bill Gordon L. Stafford, USA

    Ron Paul sucks!!!

    • r k

you are as dumb as a pig in the mud a.k.a. dick cheney.

    • J C

Of course he does. He advocates Liberty and the Constitution. So to you socialist parasites…I guess he sucks.

      • http://Yahoo Dee D

I think he not only sucks, but he looks like a rummy watery eyed pedophile. He cares nothing about the great country he was allowed to fleece as many people as he could, stripping a lot out of everything.
But it’s all going to work out in the end. He’s danced to the piper – now it’s time for his payback.

        • J C

Nice. A comment full of name calling and nasty unwarranted aspersions. Well done. Absolutely a new low for you.

          • Joe H.

            J C,
No just their normal crap mouthed stuff!! If he isn’t trying to steal your money and give it to them then he is the devil incarnate!!!

        • libertytrain

Once again Dee D, another fine Christian comment from you who purports to be one.

          • coal miner

            Liberty,

A earthquake hit Hati, thousands dead.

        • cr747

DICK CHANEY told the truth. It was stupid for OBAMA to announce a date to withdraw our troops. Only a MUSLIM would do that to another MUSLIM country. OBAMA is putting all our service men and womens life’s in jeopardy. He’s letting the enemy know every move the UNITED STATES is going to make!!!!!!!!!

          • Claire

cr747–Right on. A person/country NEVER tells the enemy their plans. This is inviting disaster and the enemy will wait it out. The minute the person/country leaves, lock, stock, and barrel, no doubt all hell will break loose, and things will go back to the way they were and it will be all for naught. Now Obama has to make sure the “goal” will be accomplished. He shot himself in the foot. Be careful what you say, it will come back to bite you applies to this situation.

          • eyeswideopen

cr747, do you not remember that the Iraq government has dictated the withdrawal date? During Bush’s term we made an agreement that we would leave by a certain date. What do you call that? It is definately a date, that was made public by our government. You seem to forget or are attempting to ignore the actions of the previous administration.

    • Ray

Maybe Mr. Stafford would prefer USSA which is what is has become. Socialists all suck!

    • Fr33dom

Gosh Bill, that is a harsh statement to say. To say that Ron Paul sucks because HE IS HONEST AND FORTHRIGHT??? It shows your intelligence for sure. Okay, go back now and put your head in the sand for a few more years.

      • Joe H.

        fr33dom,
I prefer he put his head back where it was prior to his asinine statement…. Back up his wazoo!!!!

      • Alton Robinson

I did not agree with a lot that Bush–Cheny did but at least they did it in the open they always were in the open with what they were going to do, not always how they were going to do it (which makes sense). Ron Paul cannot not be to open or the msm would be on him as they are on Palin. She says what she thinks regardless of what group she is speaking to. Can you say that of Paul? The people we have running this country now is doing it behind closed doors. And we have a prez that has admitted that he will stand by the muslims that we are actually at war with.
Give me open minded people anytime than someone that does something behind closed doors, because they think it is for my good. I have a mind let me do my own thinking.

        • denniso

Cheny needs to butt out of nat’l politics and go shooting…he’s been around far too long and he’s screwed up more than enough for one man. He’s a disgusting human and should be in jail..ron paul is right that he should shut up and get the hell out of the way. Other conservatives should also shout him down.

        • Jana

Alton, I agree with you. Ron Paul comes off to me as someone who would not defend our country any better than Obama does.
I have not always agreed with the Bush Cheney admin., but what you saw is what you got.
I have written to Ron Paul and told him what I thought of his perceived weaknesses and why I would never vote for him.
I personally am thankful that Cheney is standing up to the Obama admin. and trying to make them accountable for their actions.

          • coal miner

            Jana,

It was under Dick Chaney, the identity CIA operative was reveal.Where did you get this ignorance? That young woman could lost her life. This slimy pus is the worst kind of nightcrawler. He should go to Jail and for other crimes.

          • denniso

Brilliant Jana…I really didn’t think you were sush a blind sheep and follower!! Did you learn it from Limbaugh the real moron traitor?

          • Joe H.

            coal minor,
And it is under your messiah O-man that the CIA is being investigated!! Do you not think that a few agents will be “outed” during that?!?!? And after saying that it was time to look forward not backward to blame!!! What a pus!!!!

          • Joe H.

            Gee, coal minor,
            no answer to that?

          • Harold Olsen

I agree, though I thought Bush was a lousy president. What I will give him credit for was keeping us safe after 9/11. That was about the only thing he did right. I often think it would have been better if instead of Bush/Cheney it had been Cheney/Bush or maybe Cheney/someone else. I’m glad Cheney is speaking out against that Nazi SOB Obama. I hope he keeps it up. As someone else said, Ron Paul decides what to say based on who he is speaking to. I don’t trust people like that. They are too hypocritical.

          • eyeswideopen

Joe H, you obviously don’t recall any history, other than that which you are trying to re-write. Does Iran-Contra mean anything to you? CIA involved in illegal drugs and guns? 11 people from Regans administration served jail time for that incident. You certainly aren’t stupid, so I know that you can’t believe that the CIA or any other organizastion should have impunity of oversight. We have many instances where the CIA did not act according to the law and the Congress has addressed this problem before. Why now is it not allowed for the Justice Dept to question the actions of the CIA? Is the CIA above review and can carry out any actions they so deem appropriate?

    • John W.

      I aggree

    • JJS

I’ve read and watched this blog for a couple weeks and promised myself that I wouldn’t get involved arguing with anybody, but when I read your comment about the only honest, straight-forward Representative in the House, I couldn’t keep that promise.

Ron Paul is the finest American since Paul Harvey. Anyone who is a detractor of Ron Paul is simply either a left wing or right wing radical. I would even go so far to call those who don’t embrace Ron Paul’s words of wisdom un-American. You can’t believe in America if you don’t believe Ron Paul.

In my many years I’ve listened to hundreds or more politicians either flat-out lie or bend the truth every time they opened their mouths. Ron Paul is the only exception, bar none, that I wouldn’t say that about. He is the ONLY tell-it-like-it-is politician that I have ever seen, heard or known of, and he has been that way since 1976 when he was first elected.

      • JC

        Hear Hear!

      • Duh

That’s the way I see it too, to be against Ron Paul is to be against the Constitution.

        • Jana

Sorry, I am an American and a conservative, but Ron Paul is one of the reasons that I did not vote Libertarian. I do believe he is honest, but I also think he is weak. He does speak for a lot of the values that I do, but he is weak on defense and for that reason I could not vote for him.
I wrote to him about it and he never bothered to answer me either.

          • Akston

Running around the world kicking every 2000 year old seething anthill is strength? I thought it just got you ant-bitten…

          • J C

Jana, non intervention is not necessarily weakness. It just means we should stop interfering in the lives and politics of other nations.
If we did that, we would have a lot fewer enemies. The idea is to be strong enough though, that no one would dare screw with us. We can do that without occupying foreign nations and still trade with the world.

          • Harold Olsen

Likewise. I was planning on voting for Libertarian candidate Bob Barr unless he did or said something stupid. Well, when he said he wanted Ron Paul as his running mate, that ended it for me. Like I said in another posting, Ron Paul decides what to say depending on who he is speaking to and I just can’t trust anyone like that. And as for people who say that if you don’t agree with Ron Paul you are un-American, well that is no different than Obama and his ilk saying that if you oppose him you are a racist. But then that is the type of argument I’d expect from the left.

          • Akston

            Harold,

I don’t see your preference against Ron Paul as un-American at all. I disagree with you, but imagine you have your reasons for assuming that Ron Paul decides what to say based on his audience. Indeed, every politician does.

However, my experience has been that Congressman Paul is actually more constant than any other politician in my memory, and his invariability will occasionally work to his peril. As evidence of this, I wonder if you might remember his comments during the Univision speech in Florida during his campaign:

            http://www.rollingstone.com/nationalaffairs/index.php/2007/12/10/ron-paul-has-huge-cajones/

I accept that you don’t prefer Ron Paul for your own reasons, but pandering would be a hard reason to support.

          • JJS

            Harold Olsen,

Why is it that anyone who disagrees with you is from the left? Ron Paul is in the same category as Paul Harvey and Gerald Ford. That trio has more honesty in their pinkie fingers than any politician that I have seen or heard in the 60+ years of my lifetime. You defame him, but what evidence do you have of his saying different things depending on to whom he is speaking?

I contend that if you dislike Ron Paul’s politics, you are un-American because true Americans don’t want their politicians to pump them full of lies like the past and present administrations have historically done. Remember things like the unprovoked attack against a U.S. destroyer on routine patrol in the Tonkin Gulf; Watergate; Carter’s claim that he was a nuclear physicist; Iran-Contra; “Read my lips: no new taxes;” “I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms Lewinsky;” Mission Accomplished; Obama’s promise to use public funding; etc, etc, etc?

    • eyeswideopen

Bill, Ron Paul, actually has the nerve to state the obvious. Dick Cheney and the war mongers in his administration, have almost bankrupt this country, with a war that wasn’t justified nor necessary. He wanted to finish what big daddy Bush Sr. wasn’t allowed to do during the Gulf War and the 9/11 attack was the perfect cover for his and juniors personal agenda against Sadamn. Ron understands that America has strayed from our Constitution and no longer portrays the ethics that has governed our lives for over 230 years.

“You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.”

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had once failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama’s socialism worked & that no one would be poor & no one would be rich, a great equalizer. The professor then said, “OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama’s plan”. All grades would be averaged & everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail & no one would receive an A…After the first test, the grades were averaged & everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset & the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less & the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little. The second test average was a D! No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F. The scores never increased as bickering, blame & name-calling all resulted in hard feelings & no one would study for the benefit of anyone else. All failed, to their great surprise, & the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Could not be any simpler than that.

      • Jeff H

Right On, Sovereign Couldn’t have said it better my self.
The only addition to that would be that in a real Socialist Society
( Communist) The ones at the top (the teacher and his few favourite
lackeys (the girl in second row, and two of her friends and a relative) who are in class will get “doctored” A’s and B’s for doing
“favors” for the boss (teacher)and the rest of the class (great unwashed masses) will get screwed as usual.
In more simple terms the wealth and power will be concentrated at the
top .oo1% and the rest will just have to make do and obej.
Sadly too few people on this continent remember or care what communism(socialism) has done in the past and are all too busy trying to re-write history to the idealist revisionist version.
Well, they will be educated shortly !

Let those radical arabs hijack and fly an airplane into the Cowboys new stadium, and see what he says THEN!

WHY do Republicans always criticize ourselves, while the Dems always circle the wagons around their own, whether it be BJ’s in the White House, or RACIST comments by a leader?

    I’ll never understand!

    • Sterling

You are right, Joe. You will never understand. Firstly, we are not at war, it was never declared. Secondly, the 911 event does not call for a military response, we were attacked by people not a country. 911 should have been responded to by police just like Oklahoma city.

      • Norm

        Sterling
Bravo. Am I on the right web site today?

        • bruce milne

it is so sad to see how so many Americans have been manipulated by the media, and have bought into a culture of fear and hate. Dick Cheney believed in what he did. after all it was always in his own best interest. at least he has shown some integrity by not aiming large doses of hypocritical criticism at the current administration. George W. Bush has shown even more integrity since leaving office. Pity they couldn’t show more of it while in office. That being said, i’ll show some patience for the current executive branch. A longer term vision on foreign policy is required in order to collaborate with allies, build with neutrals, to change the outlook of many who have been alienated by American actions, and to truly defeat our enemies. i am not overly hopeful, but i will pray for progress.

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

bruce – what is your definition of integrity??????? Or does it only matter with the ones dishing it out?

          • denniso

Joe, were we at war w/ Tim McVeigh?? Were we at war w/ the Montana militia?? Were we at war w/the KKK?? Are we at war w/ neo nazis??

Bruce, thanks for your civil comment, but you are flat wrong about Cheny/Bush..they both are war criminals, invading a country w/ no provocation…Cheny will go down in infamy and his jr partner Bush as the dumbest and most incompetent president ever.

          • cr747

denniso, wrong as usual Bush/Chaney will go down in history way above the MUSLIM OBAMA. Can’t you people see he is selling our country out. He’s one of the biggest enemy’s that THE UNITED STATES has. He’s admitted more than once that he is a MUSLIM!!!!!!!!!! Wake up America!!!!!!!

          • denniso

cr…seriously,do you think you’re a bigot?? Obama IS NOT a Muslim, but even if he were,so what? Does the constitution say that only Christians can be prez? Don’t you believe in religious freedom? Do you want a religious test for candidates like Iran and similar countries have?? Get a grip, and if you are an attorney you should no better than that idiotic comment you made.

          • Joe H.

            denniso,
I’m not looking for a religious test, but I sure would like a national loyalty test!!!!

          • cr747

denniso, you can call me what ever you want to. I am a big boy I can take name calling. You just remember what I told you OBAMA is a MUSLIM. That is why he is telling the Muslims when he will pull our troops out. He also keeps repeating that we are not fighting against the Muslims. It doesn’t mater to me what denomination or where they worship. What does matter IS That The President Of The United States cannot be born in another country,”like Kenya.”!!!!!!!!!!!

      • http://WWW.FIS4HER.COM RICEPADDYROB

What an ignorant comment – Oklahoma city was planned and carried out by US born terrorist with full right granted by constitution. 911 was a terrorist attacked on New York and DC, that was planned in Afganistan by terrorist that had already declared war on the USA and had been attacking and killing Americans for years all over the world and in America. You are absolutely clueless.

        • Fr33dom

Are you 100% positive that what you just typed is true? Or is it what the media fed to us? I have discovered in my many years on Earth that what we read is not always the truth. What we see is in how we interpret it in our own minds eye. We can no longer be 100% positive on anything we read/see/hear from the media.

        • James

Ricepaddyrob, In 2003 when President Bush asked Congress for authority to seek and kill the 9-11 terrorists, he never mentioned Afghanistan. As the article stated, 14-15 of the hijackers were Saudi Arabians, who had been here for sometime. His invasion of Iraq was because Israel considered Iraq to be a threat to them. At that time, Iraq was no threat to the United States, so Bush conjoured up the WMD story and Congress fell for it. We now know the Iraq war had nothing whatsoever to do with 9-11, our forces killed Hussein and destroyed Iraq’s government to protect Israel.

          • http://Don'thaveone Sally

Not 100% true. Even President Clinton stated that his sourses had told him that there were WMD in IRAG hidden in bunkers. I forget the lady’s name that said she had called Clinton to tell him where Osama was so that we could take him out; unfortuantely Clinton was more interested in what he was doing at the time with ML. Bush did not make up that story — besides like Reagan did – he was strong and let the terrorist know, you are not holding us hostage period paragraph especialy after all the mess that Carter did – I just hope we can get things straightened out and get Obummer out, reverse all the mess, no more bowing, and get back on target again or I’m afraid we are sunk.

          • Joe H.

            Sally,
James and others like him think that Bush and Cheney were able to bend intelligence even before they were in office thus Clintoon was fooled by them!!!! I can’t believe I had to post that!!! to them though it’s the gospel!!!!

Sally, SLICK WILLY sure was enjoying chewing on those CIGARS evidently. But I believe he said that while in college he tried marijuana, BUT, he never did inhale. What a JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What difference does the perpetrators’ nationality, religion, race, sex, age, personality, clothes they wear, which side they part their hair on, which leg they put in their pants first or anything else have to do with how to respond to the attack?

        • Claire

cr747–I have to agree with you on this –”didn’t inhale” Egad, this tells me he thought we were all stupid or something. Sorry, here I go again, but his body language told me he was the type of person that was “up to no good.” If you study a person really well, the face and its expression, the eyes, the mouth, and the mannerisms can sometimes really tell you what a person is like. To me, he always had a smirk. I won’t go no farther.

          • eyeswideopen

Claire, didn’t the Nazi’s murder some innocent people who just happened to “look Jewish”? Your using body english to discredit and judge someone is so barbaric and backwards that I hope you never get nervous in a situation which would make people decide that you too are not to be trusted based on your body language. You were joking weren’t you??

          • libertytrain

Eyes has once again confused me by changing Claire’s words into something totally different than what Claire said. Of course, I’m probably incredibly stupid but body language is kind of being studied quite a bit these days — there are many examples and books written on the subject but again, they were probably all wrong as well. —- However, I never heard or saw an interview with a body language expert who referred to anyone “looking” Jewish?

      • J C

Exactly right. Its an occupation, or maybe a US World Cop action…but not a war.

        • Albert

Foreigners attacked one of our cities, the Pentagon (our military), and tried for the White House (our President), and that’s not war? Does somebody need to say “I declare war on you” for you to understand?

          • Troy

Albert ,,you need to do some investigating and quit listening to the bought and paid for media.

          • mk

No, we don’t need to have war declared on us. We need to have our congress who is our official representation, declare war on someone. That has not happened yet. That won’t happen. No one even knows who to declare war on. If we keep going the way we are going, we might as well just blow the rest of the earth out of the water, and leave us a lone island over here. There is no way the terrorists could get to us then! Better yet, why don’t we figure out what it is that is the real reason they terrorize us. Could it be that they are sick of our troops occupying every corner of the earth? How would we like it if China decided that since we are a threat to them, that they are going to set up bases all throughout the US. They will just walk up and down our streets to keep the insurgents from acting out. I’m sure we would love that. God bless the Chinese for ensuring our safety.

          • http://Yahoo Dee D

MK: We indeed did have someone declare an illegal war on a country that had nothing to do with the 9/11 attack on America. Then instead of finishing the job (keeping a promise to get (bin Laden). What were bin Laden’s family members doing here in the states? Being wined and dined by whom ? Flown out of here on our government planes in the early morning hours of 9/12?? When Cheney turned tail and ran from Afganastan he also took the al-Qaida and a lot more thugs into Iraq to do more body damage to our brave troops and innocent citizens. Just what was the fear that the information that Saddam Hussein might reveal that could in any way change the course of events? American citizens that just may have changed a few minds concerning a lot of propaganda that was being spewed by our so called news networks—-YEP best mouthpieces and propagandists this country has ever seen.

          • JC

Albert, according to our Constitution we are supposed to declare a war “on them” before we send Americans off to kill and die. Which part don’t you understand? And I wonder if you’ve looked back any farther than 2001, say at least as far as 1950 at what western foreign policy has been towards these people. What we have is something the CIA calls “blowback”. This is not a personal attack…just something you should consider.

          • JJS

How many of those foreigner were Iraqis and Afghanis?

          • denniso

Osama bin Laden attacked us..he was harbored by the Taliban in Afghanistan, who are bad enough on their own. We removed the Taliban from power and let Osama escape. He’s the main enemy and Bush should have gotten him..the actual hijackers were nothing but foot soldiers. Saddam was a bad guy but he didn’t attack us and Cheny/Bush screwed up big time going after him and letting Afghanistan take a back seat,so the war wasn’t finished..now that’s incompetence and stupidity on their part and the part of the people who still support the Iraq invasion.

          • Joe H.

            Albert,
These guys seem to forget that congress DID give Bush permission to start the aggression against Iraq!!!

          • Joe H.

            Dee D,
“When Cheney ran from Afghanistan”????? What pus told you that???? And he took the AQ with him??? Do you have brown eyes? I would almost bet on it!!! Remember….A mind is a terrible thing to waste and you are guilty!!!!

      • eyeswideopen

Sterling, finally, someone who realizes that we weren’t attacked by a country. It is a mystery that the attackers were Saudi’s yet we didn’t go after that country did we? Could that have been because the Bush’s have a long and tight history with the Saudi royal family? No, say it ain’t so Joe!!! lol…

      • Joe H.

        Sterling,
And which police force do you suggest we send to the middle east to apprehend the conspirators in 9/11??? Miami Dade? How about East Cleveland Ohio? Yours is the same type of asinine thinking that said Viet Nam was not a war either!! We ARE at war! At war with any country that tries to export their human misery that sends 3000 people to the morgue and countless others to the hospital in just a flash of time and if you can’t get that through your thick skull then you are lost and in need of a brain transplant cause you haven’t got one!!!!

        • eyeswideopen

Joe, be kind, no need to treat people with such disrespect. Obvious your brain is filled with hatred, but just because someone disagrees doesn’t mean you should belittle them.

          • libertytrain

Eyes, did you read the words you wrote here to JOE:
“Obvious your brain is filled with hatred, but just because someone disagrees doesn’t mean you should belittle them.”

I mean did you ever think about the words you wrote when you do write so many of your comments to people – like for instance, Claire — What is it “Do as I say, not as I do” ???

        • DDC

          libertytrain
eyes is from another planet-don’t know any difference

    • Ray

The Demonicans and Republicrats are the same on foreign policy. No one circles any wagons, unless its to insure the military industrial complex continues to prosper. War has to be declared by congress. Have you heard them declare War on any nation lately? They have a War on Drugs, War on Poverty and War on Terrorism. Have they won any of these yet? War on poverty is almost 50 years old, War on drugs about 30! Where has this gotten us? Now we have war on an ideology; how ridiculous. How will you win that?

      • DaveH

        So true Ray.

    • Michael

Do me a big favor? Please do not vote. We do not need dummies voting against their own interest.

    • Akston

How can one be “at war” with a tactic? Does “terrorism have a leadership that can surrender and end this “war”? No? Then when will this “war” end??

      • Joe H.

        Akston,
hopefully not before every one of those pus ridden terror minded holes are DEAD!!

        • Akston

          Joe,

I share your animosity towards people who target and kill innocents, and I have no problem supporting the relentless pursuit of perpetrators who initiated these atrocities.

A question lingers to trouble me, however. What if the very actions that the U.S. government takes in the name of security actually breed many more terrorists than the U.S. government can hunt down and kill?

Wouldn’t it be prudent to mix the pursuit of justice with policies that might actually decrease future recruitment inducements? What induces recruitment? Should we care what the recruits claim induced them? Isn’t that kind of intel useful if one wants to affect the incentive?

How does one ever get them all if he keeps making more? When does it end? We want it to end, right?

          • eyeswideopen

            Akston, well said. Logic rules!!!

  • Glen Welch

Apparently Bill hasn’t read the comment policy for this column!

  • realbigal

The Conspiracy continues to have overwhelming success in neutralizing effective opposition to the enslavement of Americans. By playing the various Establishment games with the underinformed public, they cause many good citizens to mistrack their own sincere efforts to restore freedom and the Consittution. So what does a patriot do? It can be very complicated to explain all the things that are effective while exposing the Trojan Horses put out by the conspirators. But fortunately, there is a simple way to determine what actions are truly helpful and which ones are misleading and wasteful.

Since the 1970′s the most effective and accurate advocate of the correct policies needed to save freedom is Ron Paul. He has phenomenal support of the most knowledgeable patriots who really know what is happening and what to do about it. That is why his voting record in Congress has been perfect. A simple and reliable way to advance freedom is simply to get your own Congressman to vote the same way that Ron Paul does. Regardless of who is President, that is all it would take.

    • Judy

Realbigal, I agree. The more I learn about Ron Paul’s vision for the good of this country the clearer it becomes to me that the guy just makes good sense.

    • OneVoice

      Realbigal:

Thank you for your comment, very well stated, I agree whole heartedly. I don’t even need to post a comment now to counter some of these ridiculous comments. While it can be complicated, the info is out there fellow patriots, time to wake up. We are smart enough, we MUST be smart enough if we are going to change anything. Dem or Repub…both heading to the same place, you just vote for the speed in which they’ll take us there.

“Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women. When it dies there, no constitution, no law, no court can save it.”

      • Joe H.

        OneVoice,
while I agree with your sentiments on Paul, I have to say that we to focus on what happens when we split the vote! If we split the vote on a man that can’t get elected, then we may as well hand the job right over to O-man for another 4 years!! It happened with Ross Perot. He was unelectable but got just enough votes that the repub couldn’t get in either!!!!

        • Duh

Please, name one difference between Obama and Bush.

          • Joe H.

Same type, but O-man has even worse attitudes and doesn’t keep the homeland safe!!!! I never heard Bush say that if push comes to shove he would come down on the side of the Muslims!!!

          • eyeswideopen

Joe H, you sound just like Fox news, spewing lies. What has happened that this country isn’t safe? Don’t go to the diaper bomber, as I will have to state those many incidents that happened after 9/11, that your God Bush didn’t protect us from.

    • JJS

I agree whole-heartedly with you. We need to get Ron Paul elected as president. We surely couldn’t do much better, and since the 50s have done much worse. I lived through it all and have seen nothing but liars and thieves elected to office. It’s time to change, and I don’t mean change like the guy that is president now. He is as bad as any of them have been.

  • Norm

Wow Ron Paul is smarter than I gave him credit for. He is absolutely right on this one. Dick Cheney is an insult to everything this country stands for. We fought an unecessary war with the wrong enemy and in the process killed and maimed thousands of good american kids, and spent nearly a $1,000,000,000,000 in taxpayer money. Now he doesn’t have the decency to shut his ugly mouth. Cheney didn’t solve problems he created them.

    • Arkham Grundy

      Great point!

    • John W.

George Bush and Dick Cheney put in place means to attack our enemys
and keep us from attack for eight years. Saddam did have poison gas and he was working on ballistic missles and did invade Kuwaite and was planning to invade Saudi Arabia.
People should listen to Dick Cheney because he knows what he is talking about.

    • DaveH

You’re worried about taxpayer money Norm? You could have fooled me, but I welcome it if it is indeed true.

      • Joe H.

        DaveH,
Only if he thinks there’s a slight chance he might have to pay it!! He must have got a Christmas job!!!!

  • CUZIN ERN

Constructive comment is one thing, since it is already in the distant past..
What is of concern is what is tendered to happen to our future…namely
the usurptson of the Constitution by attempting to pass legislation that amounts a complete take over of the Union and liquidating the constitution there by setting up a dictatorship and melding it into a world govt.

This is a complete violation of the constitution and is criminal and demands that those conspirators be brought up on charges; and if guilty .be imprisoned or executed as the case may be….

    • J C

Good point. Part of that overall is the plan for the US to sign into the UN gun ban treaty. The precursor to global confiscation. Anyone remember this sort of thing happening in the past?

      • Adam

Hum… Maybe Germany in the early 1930s?

        • John W.

The way the government is being taken over is prcisely the way Hitler took over Germany

          • JJS

Who should we worry about taking over the United States? Do you think that there is any one person or organization that can pull it off?

          • Curtis

John, thanks for reinforcing the stereotype, Americans know nothing about world geography or world history.

          • JC

Exactly right John, the parallels are astounding.

          • DaveH

Oh, and you do know what Americans know, Curtis?

          • Joe H.

            DaveH,
curtis only knows he misses socialist Germany and wants the same thing here!!!!! I would be glad to take up a collection to send him back….ONE WAY OF COURSE!!!!

          • eyeswideopen

Curtis, just because Palin, didn’t know why there is a N. Korea and S. Korea, didn’t know how WW2 started, didn’t know that Iraq didn’t attack us( and the list goes on and on) doesn’t mean that most Americans are ignorant of world history. However we now have the Republican party denying any wrong doing in the past 8 yrs, so maybe you are right. Maybe we just refuse to learn from history. Both parties need to clean house. Campaign reform of not allowing corporate monies in politics would be a start. Politicians are bought and paid for with corporate dollars and until we stop the flow of funds we will be controlled by special interests.

          • Joe H.

            Eyes,
Yeah and now we have a president that doesn’t know there aren’t 57 states, loves the Muslims and likes to campaign too much. We have a vice pres that sticks his size twelve in his mouth every time he speaks! “come on ….. stand up and take a bow, come on stand up!!!” Oh that’s right he’s cripple in a wheel chair!!!!! Nothing stupid about these two!!!!

          • DaveH

            Eyes,
Campaign Finance Reform is just what incumbants love. It takes a lot of money to unseat an incumbant who has had years of face time with the public.
A better alternative would be to require full disclosure of where any campaign funds have come from, and enforce those rules. Then the voters could make up their minds if the candidates are “bought and paid for”.

          • DDC

yea like Obama was. Bought the election with the help of the idiot Democrats

          • eyeswideopen

DaveH, we already have those types of laws about campagin monies, and here in Florida those shifty politicians have found a way around those same laws. Each state should give the same amount of money to each person and that’s it. We all want the states to have more power and since the Congressmen represent the states, let the states come up with the funds for all who want to run. Each person gets the same amount and are accountable for the monies spent. That would end the constant stream of monies by the corporations to politicians, thus ending the purchasing of favors that benefit the corporations.

    • Earlw

I do believe its called ********* TREASON ********* What I can’t understand is why no one has brought articles of impeachment to the floor even IF it couldn’t have a chance of passing….

Plainly our SWORN under oath legislators have lost all allegiance to the constitution.

  • Robert

Well you have to say one thing about Ron Paul. He doesn’t mix his words and does not embrace the art of Washington Speak. I give the man credit for standing by his convictions. Now if the rest of the Washington crowd would do the same, maybe they could fiz the mess they created. As far as Afghanstan and Iraq are concerned, no matter how much American blood is shed, these people will never change their centuries of tribal differences. Didn’t Obama say, “You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.”? He should heed his own words. You really want to get rid of the terrorist? Bomb the hell out of these countries and let God sort out the good ones.

    • J C

I think it was Ross Perot who said “You can put lipstick on a pig and call it Charlene, but it’s still a pig”.

      • Joe H.

Yeah and HE wasn’t a Wacko!!!!

        • Harold Olsen

Now THAT is an understatement if I ever heard one!

    • JJS

Either bomb the hell out of them or pull out. Screwing around for eight years hasn’t gotten it done.

  • jillian

Why do we keep trying to follow the rats down holes? Why are we looking to engage them on their turf, so they always have the upper hand?! I think we should bring all of our people home, and have them patrol OUR borders and shores, and line up with their guns, and wait for these hot shot terrorists. We’re chasing shadows and lining the pockets of dirty players like Cheney! I say Ron Paul makes sense. We need to stop feeding into the 9/11 frenzy. We’re not ignorant. If there truly is a war on “TERROR”(yes! I said it!!), then have the balls to say it, and defend our country at home.No more cat and mouse! No more propaganda!

    • Adam

“The American people should be made aware of the trend toward monopolization of the great public information vehicles and the concentration of more and more power over public opinion in fewer and fewer hands.” – Spiro Agnew

“By the skillful and sustained use of propaganda, one can make a people see even heaven as hell or an extremely wretched life as paradise.” – Adolph Hitler

“If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.” – Adolph Hitler

“The greater the lie, the greater the chance that it will be believed.” – Adolf Hitler

“The broad masses of a population are more amenable to the appeal of rhetoric than to any other force.” – Adolf Hitler

      • JJS

You only quoted one decent person. Harry Truman, the last of our great presidents. Ron Paul and Harry Truman would be a great pair to draw to.

      • eyeswideopen

Adam, point made. Cheney thinks if he tells the lie enough times, he will be able to re-write history, in his favor. Hopefully, people will remember and not allow the facts to be forgotten.

      • cr747

THE FACTS, I won’t forget the facts. Bush/Chaney makes this Muslim prez. look so stupid that he can’t even face the camera when talking!!!! OBAMA will look at the right teleprompter, and then turn and look at the left teleprompter, but never once look straight into the camera in front of him. We have really got a BOZO for a president, and a CLOWN for vice president. I don’t know what you would call the rest of his nominated by HIM screwballs!!!!!!!!!!!

        • Joe H.

          cr747,
he’s afraid if he looks straight at the camera that all of America will see he’s lying not just the conservatives and a few of the dems!!!

          • cr747

            Joe H
that could be the reason, but I think if he takes his eyes off of the teleprompter that he will get confused, and not remember which one is next!!!!!!!!!!

    • Joe H.

      jillian,
yes, by all means let’s do that!! Then the next time it can be some American child that dies, maybe yours, will you feel better then? Maybe your businessman spouse!! Ah, I know, your little ol’ grandmother!!! Sound Good???

    • Earlw

The terrorists have already won THEIR battle….. They have terrified the American populace and made us react to them, on their turf…Methinks our government has an ulterior motive in the middle east and south Asia, like controlling Caspian basin oil and the choke points of the oil routes of the south Arabian peninsula, and setting up forward bases for more of the same in client countries. Anyone who does the research on such websites as globalresearch.ca or stratfor.com can easily find these things out, not to mention numerous other websites and blogs, so GAT BEEZEE!

      • Joe H.

        Earlw,
do you have any idea how much oil we get from the middle east? obviously you don’t as we get only about, if I remember the right number it is something like 20%. The rest comes from south America, Canada and our own!!

  • tomeg42

What we need to have here is the arrest and conviction of these politicians that go against our constitution. Dick Cheney is a war criminal and should be treated as such. Obama should not be the one to say he doesn’t want to go back and deal with the mishaps of the last administration. Well there was so much criminal activity in the last administration that the people of these United States should have their rights taken seriously and that means following through with investigations of Cheney and all the others involved in illegal activities. Going to war was a crime all on it’s own by every Congressmen/women who voted to do so. I say that because they didn’t carry out their obligation to declare war against any country and this ridiculous war on a tactic just shows how completely stupid those in the media and Government are to continue to call it such. What is happening now with OUR GOVERNMENT is out of control. Obama is going to shove this socialist health care bill down our throats when the majority of the citizens are totally against it as it is written. The bribery that is going on for the votes to pass it with our tax dollars is criminal activity were seeing happening right in front of us by Harry Reid. This most stop and these law breaking politicians must be arrested and tried for the crimes they are committing. Enough with their BULL!!!!!

  • http://termdispr john r mc lemore

    ron paul is nuts

    • Ray

Wow, that explains everything. Do you mean like he should be in a psych ward or like crazy as a fox? Mind telling us on what facts you have based this conclusion?

    • J C

Individual Responsibility, Personal Liberty, The US Constitution, Fiscal Responsibility, Honesty in Government…Yup! the man is obviously insane. ;)

    • http://personalliberty.com Dorothy

I would say it would be best at this critical time if ron paul shut his foolish mouth.

      • J C

That way the commies in the White House could have free reign. Good idea! There is nothing foolish about Americans living by the Constitution our country was founded on. Unless of course you happen to be one of the “New Age Socialist” …Americans(?)

      • JJS

I would say it would be best at this critical time if Dorothy shut her foolish mouth.

        • DaveH

Dorothy reminds me of my mother, a staunch Democrat. My mother said she could never vote for Bush. I asked her why. She said “because he’s so ugly”.

          • eyeswideopen

Dave, I wish I had spoken to your mother, prior to my making a big mistake by voting for Bush. She knew ugly when she saw it. LOL.

    • JJS

On the contrary! Ron Paul is the only one of the current bunch of politicians that isn’t nuts.

      • c lee

        I will agree with that.

  • Earl, QUEENS, NY

Nearly a year after the BHO obamanation began, we still hear the ‘Blame Bush/Cheney’ drivel from democraps. GET REAL!! The fact is – it was Bush/Cheney who kept us safe after 9/11, not the politically correct BS we now see with the Democraps in power!! We also had a far better economy and lower unemployment 4 years ago, before the Democraps won back Congress. As for Cheney, given his age and health, it’s doubtful he’ll run for office again. Thus his motives are not political, but just a concern for our country….Furthermore, did Cheney ever say “Stand up Chuck, let them see you….” to a guy in a wheelchair? Did Cheney ever say it’s our patriotic duty to pay more taxes, or that we have to spend more money to avoid bankruptcy? In plain language, who was the better VP – Cheney, or the idiot who succeeded him?? IMO, ‘Joker’ Biden alone is enough reason to say that some 63,000,000 voters were ignorant fools on 11/4/08!!

    • BigIron

Then isn’t it obvious that BOTH parties are the problem? And if that is so then they are but puppets of some master puppeteer/s. So “who IS pulling their strings”? … The international bankers, the NWO, the Illuminati, the Tri-lateral-Commission, the Bilderbergers, the Military-Industrial-Complex? … All of the above? Yes! or perhaps those unmentioned and unknown.
Long before our country even existed, the bankers were the power brokers. War is, and always has been, good business for those properly positioned to make “money” on both sides of the conflict and to come out on top no matter what the outcome. They are able to do this by hiding in the shadows and manipulating from a distance.
To these “Puppet Masters”, people are simply a faceless resource to be used by them to generate their ever increasing wealth and power. If they have any loyalty or compassion it is only for those in their very small inner circle/s.
Yes, there is TRUE EVIL in this world. We must root it out and destroy it for if we do not it will truly destroy us. We ARE at war but not with those openly labeled as our enemies. … Our true enemies lie hidden in the shadows where they are never seen and glimpsed only rarely as shadows lurking at the edge of our vision.

      • http://Don'thaveone Sally

I see you know all too well!!! The Rothchilds financed Hitler against their own and are very much around today. I have felt all along that Obummer is just a puppet because the man is not that smart. Clever yes. His motto “Lets go the roundhouse mother, they can’t corner us there”! All we can do is our best and hold our representatives feet to the fire, cancel out all laws, go back to the constitution and the Bill of Rights and start all over. IRS to be closed down because collecting taxes is unconstitutional, put in a flat tax that is taxed at the spending level like a sales tax but just to pay for the debt only. If you serve in Congress or as President, it is pro bono. Military stays as is along with some other Govt entities. Schools go back to the states etc. etc. etc.

        • JJS

Obama isn’t smart? He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard, and you say he isn’t smart? Who isn’t smart is Bush. According to his transcript published at his website, http://2004.georgewbush.org/bios/yale-transcript.asp, his college GPA was 2.75, a high C. McCain isn’t very smart either. He didn’t release his transcript, but publicly admitted graduating near the very bottom of his class at the Naval Academy. Enough said on that subject, other than you are wrong, wrong, wrong.

“Cancel out all laws?” Would you like to live in a country where there were no laws prohibiting rape, murder and thievery? That isn’t a very well thought out statement, one that you should retract.

As for your assertion that “collecting taxes is unconstitutional,” read Amendment 16 of the Constitution that you say “go back to.” How can you say “collecting taxes is unconstitutional” in one breath and “put in a flat tax that is taxed at the spending level” in the next?

Sally, go to bed, get some sleep and when you wake up in the morning, read this post again. After you digest the less than half smart crap you wrote, look in the mirror and give yourself hell for being such an ignoramus.

          • cr747

AT LEAST THEY DIDN’T LIE ABOUT THEIR COLLEGE CAREER, AND SHOWED PROOF THAT THEY WHERE BORN IN THE UNITED STATES.
            OBAMA CAN’T DO THAT.

          • Earlw

THE ONLY TAXES THAT ARE CONSTITUTIONAL ARE THOSE APPORTIONED EQUALLY AMONG THE POPULATION!! The sixteenth amendment was never properly ratified,Ohio changed wording in its vote, which negated it’s vote, not that anyone gave a rat’s ass in washington..They passed it anyway, legal or not, and the rest is history. Do your homework!

          • Joe H.

            JJS,
Yeah he’s smart, street smart! Dig into other peoples pockets smart, ignore the constitution he swore to uphold smart. Unfortunately that isn’t the kind of smarts we need right now!!!

          • JJS

            cr747,

Did you ever see Bush’s birth certificate? Clinton’s? Reagan’s? I don’t recall anybody asking them to produce theirs. Obama did show the world the birth certificate issued to him by the State of Hawaii when his birthplace was brought up as an issue. Furthermore, McCain could not have produced one proving the he was born in the United States because he was born in Panama. Get your sh*t together and try to post something that is fact, not your opinion.
            ————————————-
            Earlw,

The 16th Amendment says verbatim, “The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.” That’s all it says – one sentence, thirty words, three commas and a period. What part of that says the tax has to be “apportioned equally among the population” like you claim?

Thousands of tax protestors using the defense that the 16th Amendment “was never properly ratified” have paid millions of dollars in penalties and interest to the IRS when their claim was struck down by the judiciary. Tell them that you know better than the judges, and they will either laugh in your face or cry on your shoulder. In either case, they can testify just how much you are full of sh*t making the “never properly ratified” claim.

Earlw, quit writing your opinions as fact. That a tax has to be “apportioned equally among the population” or that the 16th Amendment “was never properly ratified” aren’t open to opinion because they are facts, and they are the law of the land whether you, me or anybody else likes it or not.
            ————————————-
            Joe H,

Why don’t you take my earlier advice and quit showing your ignorance every time you write something. People who want an intelligent exchange of ideas won’t even bother reading what you write if you continue to constantly spew thoughtless and meaningless crap.

          • cr747

JJS, as a matter of fact I haven’t seen his birth certificate. I was in court in California when this was brought forward. WHAT I SAW WAS A CERTIFICATE OF BIRTH. Now a “certificate of birth” is quite different from a “birth certificate”. A “certificate of BIRTH” only proves that you were born. A “BIRTH certificate” shows where you where born, and to whom your parents are ETC.. Now he hasn’t been able to show his “BIRTH CERTIFICATE” simply because he does not have one from Hawaii. He does have a “BIRTH CERTIFICATE” where he was born in KENYA. I have seen that one….And as getting my JJS together “KNOWN TO YOU AS SH#T” I have had it together ever since you have been commenting. I have had to flush the JJS down twice now, because “JJS” gets to stinking after a few minutes out in the OPEN.
So for Goodness Sake Quit putting all this JJS out, because I imagine people like myself are tired of flushing JJS down their commode.
Grow up and get a life, and when you comment on something, know what you are talking about. Simply because it stinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

          • Joe H.

            JJS,
NUMBER ONE, I’m not like youin that I don’t care what people that are shredding the constitution I swore to defend think about me! YOU are the one that seems to be that shallow!!! NUMBER TWO, I enjoy watching you get all riled up by what I say, along with scabber jabber coal minor,Also!!! NUMBER THREE, Your opinion is like a behind, everyone has one and yours smells!!!

        • eyeswideopen

Sally, so, what you want is only the independent wealthly running for office? Pro Bono? Only the rich could afford to serve. Since the majority of the population isn’t rich, how do you think we would have good representation?

      • Harold Olsen

BOTH parties? Democrat and Republican. Two sides of the same coin and interchangeable.

    • Redhead

Part of our economic problems are the result of no new taxes, and actually cutting taxes, in the past 9 years while waging two wars with no means to pay for them other than deficit spending…a totally unRepublican idealogy. But then we don’t need a middleclass do we.

      • eyeswideopen

Redhead, you are one of the few who grasp the fact that for the first time in our history, we waged war, without raising taxes to pay for it. You restore my faith that some do understand that wars are costly and that Bush didn’t give two craps about how he was damaging this country.

        • Joe H.

Gee, I guess Bush was in office for NINE years, hey Eyes??? I think that includes your hero O-man, too!!!!

          • Harold Olsen

Actually, Bush must have been in office even longer than that because the left also says he and Cheney were responsible for the Oklahoma bombing.

          • eyeswideopen

Joe, no, redhead knows that the Repubs have had power since the Clinton administration right on through the Bush admin. Total of 11 years. Babe you need to do some research and learn who has had power and when. Oh, I forgot, it doesn’t matter to you and yours, who is responsible, you just want to blame anyone excect those who made the decisions, as they just happen to be Conservatives and Republicans. Try reading this, it will help you with the facts. http://uspolitics.about.com/od/usgovernment/l/bl_party_division_2.htm

        • cr747

Sure doesn’t take mush to raise your faith. Wait until OBAMA gets through with you!!!!!!!!!!

          • cr747

Well, they say my plane is ready, so I’m off to Hawaii for some much needed R and R. Catch you guys at a later time. God Bless America, and all of you stay safe. In my prayer’s!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • JJS

The Democrats got what the Republicans left them. It will take a person who really cares for our country and our Constitution to put us back on the right track. The only person that I know of that can and will do that is Ron Paul, the most honest man in America now that Paul Harvey isn’t here any more.

      • cr747

JJS did I understand you right ,that OBAMA was in a magnum coming out loud in Harvard???? If so why doesn’t he show the papers he received from there. I know; he doesn’t have them to show. Why doesn’t he have them??? Well because if he did he would have to show where he got grants for being born in a foreign country and receiving those funds which would automatically show that he was born in Kenya. So see how simple that is. Do you understand now that he is not qualified to be a president of THE UNITED STATES

So, just hang in there, and listen to the people that are trying to teach you something when commenting.I see where you told someone back in one of their comments, SHUT UP, AND KEEP YOUR MOUTH CLOSED UNTIL YOU LEARN ENOUGH TO BE COMMENTING WITH THE BIG PEOPLE. So get your diaper changed, and get back in your little crib!!!!!!!!!!!!

        • eyeswideopen

cr747, your last comments are exactly why nothing can be done in this country. Just because you disagree doesn’t mean you need to belittle someone. Most lawyers are trained to hold their emotions in check and never make statements that would show their emotional immaturity. You aren’t a lawyer are you? lmao.

          • cr747

Talk about belittlement!! Do you write your on comments or does someone else do it for you???

          • coal miner

            Eyes,

The more cr474 writes, there more I am convince He is a liar and a blow heart. How can you go to Hawaii in three days and for that so called needed rest he was babbling about. This was on his private jet.If he said two weeks,it could have merit. The way he keeps talking and belittling Obama calling him a Muslem, would be a quick way to disbarment. His education is most likely on high school level. He talks like red neck.A racist while back pass the bar exam and was denied by the American bar association.Don’t believe this wind bag for a second.
            Have a good day!

          • cr747

A lire and a blow heart. What is a blow heart? Enlighten me here please. I’ve never heard that statement before now!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Keith

Can we at least agree that we are in an armed conflict with a determined foe? Nobody wins wars on defense, you only stay in the game longer. In today’s world, where increasing technology and interdependence puts more and more destructive potential in the hands of smaller and smaller groups, letting them take the initiative will eventually be disastrous.

That said, we need to be as intelligent as possible in HOW we take the fight to the enemy. One way that has received some attention is to (AFTER DECLARING IT WELL BEFOREHAND) use methods to terminate known terrorists and terrorist leaders that preclude their going to paradise- like drowning them in pig blood.

  • http://N/A reeves

Dick Cheney has many good points, not the least his stance on socialism and the leftist democrat party. But he is way off base on the wholly unconstitutional “wars” in Iraq and Afghanistan. We are stuck in another Vietnam “war” that can’t be won by our side. The day we leave those anti-American countries, they will introduce another Saddam or religious dictator that will simply take up where the others left off prior to our invasions. The war on terrorism can’t be successfully fought using WWII-style ground troops in the first place. We need to go underground and fight the enemy without reservation, in their homes and Mosques, where they hide. And we need to get realistic here at home with our borders and our security measures. We have no business in these other countries that do not pose a threat to our sovereignty or our safety. Instead we need to try preventing terrorists from attacking us from within. Let Israel take care of their own country. We are not their military arm. Ron Paul is correct on the economy and the faux “wars” in the Mideast, but he is way off base himself on our borders and his unrealistic Libertarian viewpoints.

    • JJS

And you, Reeves, are way off base on your views of both Dick Cheney, who hasn’t ever had any good points and wouldn’t know a good point when he heard one, and Ron Paul, who is absolutely right about protecting our borders. It is Ron Paul who said, “A nation without borders is no nation at all.” How can you say that is way off base? You are just as wrong about his Libertarian views, too.

    • DaveH

What is wrong with Individual Liberty, Individual Responsibility, and Limited Government?
Do you have a problem with voluntary contracts as opposed to those forced on us by the Government?
Or do you just not know what Libertarians really stand for?
      http://libertarianparty.org/platform

    • Joe H.

      reeves,
I pray that this war never becomes another Viet Nam and so should you!! There have been no where near as many U.S. deaths from it and I hope there won’t be!! Don’t be so quick to lable something you know nothing about!!!

      • Harold Olsen

The high number of casualties in Vietnam was mainly due to Robert MacNamera lying to President Johnson. Instead of telling LBJ what he needed to hear he told LBJ what he though he want to hear. MacNamera told LBJ that the war was going just fine and when LBJ decided to go there and see for himself, MacNamera tried to dissuade him. MacNamera wrote a book about Vietnam and then went on various shows to promote it and proudly bragged about the fact that he lied to LBJ and even admitted that because of that more people died than would have otherwise, and he was proud of THAT. The only time I ever said I was glad that someone was dead was when MacNamera died. I hope he’s burning in hell. And, by the way, I served in Vietnam.

        • Joe H.

          Harold Olsen,
There was quite a lot of lying by Westmoreland, too!! Cutting enemy troop strengths in half so it would look better than it was! The only problem was it got a lot of good men killed! I was there, too 18 months. 114th asault helicopter company, RED KNIGHTS!!!

          • cr747

Joe H don’t know if I have told you or not, thanks for serving. Vietnam was a hell hole!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Chris Miller

Ron Paul has been in Congress for nigh onto 2 decades. Where is his outline on his foreign policy. Islam is a militant religion and it is all of Islam not just the jihadists.Take a look at what the Muslims did to India. They do not like us or the fact that we are a Judeo-Christian nation. Keep in mind that it was these folks who really started the Crusades in their attempt to take over the Holy Land.
I would recommned that he and his supporters obtain Michael Ledeen’s work, “The War Against the Terror Masters” and Bill Gertz’s “The Failure Factory.” In addition to that I would suggest he reads Washington’s foreign policy keeping in mind that it was Jefferson not Washington who talked of entangling alliances. Washington had strength at home as the base of his policy

    • RadicalRepublican

It is clear that Ron Paul is a true, classic American Isolationist. This is where I have to disagree with him, because America has a huge role to play in International Relations and I’m sure that if he were to be President it would be a huge step backwards on the world stage.
Nevertheless, he speaks Truth domestically and is a very powerful and necessary voice of criticism for BOTH sides

      • JD

Calling Ron Paul an “isolationist” makes about as much sense as labeling your best neighbor a “hermit” because he doesn’t do donuts on your lawn or throw bricks through your windows. He is a non interventionist, not an isolationist, big difference. He thinks we should trade and have commerce with countries, not impose our values and what we believe is a good form of government on them. Some countries don’t want democracies and that is their choice, not ours to make.

        • RadicalRepublican

True enough, but many classic American isolationists still promoted trade with other countries. The point is that he appears to have no sense of global leadership or promotion of American ideals of equality and democracy.

          • JD

“True enough, but many classic American isolationists still promoted trade with other countries.”

Then they are not an isolationist. I wish I had a dime for every time someone called Ron Paul an isolationist and they really don’t understand the true definition of an isolationist.

            “i·so·la·tion·ism (ī’sə-lā’shə-nĭz’əm)
            n. A national policy of abstaining from political or economic relations with other countries.”

          • DaveH

Riddle me this Radical – How would you feel if the Mexican Army was in the US keeping the peace for Obama? Would you love Mexico?
How then, do you expect our Military escapades to result in peace and admiration for the US from those occupied countries?

          • Tinwarble

            DaveH,

You make a good point, however, do you have an answer as to how you think WWII might have been if we had a presence in Europe and been able to stop Hitler after he invaded Poland. Instead of waiting until nearly 5 yrs to get into the fight and letting Hitler invade most of Europe.

          • DaveH

            Tin,
What I do know is after the US heros defeated Hitler, we turned Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, and Albania over to Soviet control. Yep, we are the great Liberators.

          • Tinwarble

            DaveH,

And as I said before, Russia was an ally. Perhaps we should have just turned on the Soviet Union and ran them back home, well, I could have gotten on with that plan. But to your point, do we just overlook the rest of Europe that was liberated, or does it not matter because of the countries taken over by the Soviet Union. And more to my point, would we have even had to worry about the Soviet’s if we had acted sooner. Maybe we could have even avoided that whole “Cold War” thing if we had acted before Hitler turned to invade Russia. Also, as a Vet, I would ask you to watch how you use the statement “the Great Liberators”, it would come across to some as being disparaging in the memory of those who gave their lives for freedom.

          • DaveH

The soldiers are just pawns in the game. I bear no animosity for them. And it is a game, with human lives at stake.

          • Tinwarble

            DaveH,

But to call us pawns gives us no credit, all it does is say that we are not smart enough to know when we are being used. As, and I don’t mean this any way other than it is what I feel to be fact, you apparently haven’t been in the military I would not expect you to understand. Soldiers aren’t just mindless drones following any order given us, we are also bound by oath, not to follow any unlawful order. We are the boots on the ground, we see the disparage caused by war as we know the outcome once the war is over. That is why, if you were to ask, we are glad to be apart of fighting for those that can’t fight for themselves. And I would caution you again about how you frame soldiers, because you may need to call upon us one day to defend this country and our Constitution, and if we are nothing more than mindless pawns, unable to do no more than follow the orders of our leaders, then woe be unto you.

          • Earlw

Maybe we should lead by EXAMPLE?????

        • Joe H.

          DaveH,
I would have to say just by his longevity you should not support Ron Paul!! Not trying to mock you just going by what you say!

          • DaveH

            Joe,
When have I ever said anything about anybody’s longevity? I do think Ron is too old now to stand up to the rigors of fighting Liberals.

          • Joe H.

            DaveH,
I could have sworn you were talking earlier of term limits for politicians!!!

    • JJS

The world has changed a bit since Washington and Jefferson have said anything. What they said in the horse and buggy days doesn’t necessarily apply in the jet age.

      • DaveH

        JJS,
Decades ago, the Wall Street Journal had an article which stated that there was just too much advancement in technology for freedom to exist in the modern world. Then at the bottom, there was a date for the origination of the article. It was written in the mid 1700s.

        • JJS

Are trying to say that the world hasn’t changed since the 18th century? I was born in the 20th century, and I have seen lots of change in my life. Some examples:

          1. advancing from the first transatlantic airline passenger service in 1939 to going to the moon and the space shuttle.
          2. going from computers that used to fill climate controlled rooms to more powerful ones that fit in the palm of our hands.
          3. from listening to the radio to watching television.

          • DaveH

Definitely not, JJS. What I am saying is that technological advancement is no excuse for the denial of Liberty.

      • J C

We’re dealing with ethics and principles of American Liberty. It applies just fine in a horse drawn buggy or first class seating on a 767. The only thing different? The government itself is corrupt beyond recognition as anything remotely based on American values.

    • DaveH

      Chris,
You give our Government way too much credit. What problems have we solved with our military escapades? Have we conquered Radical Islam?

  • RadicalRepublican

I admire Ron Paul so much for this kind of TRUTH that he speaks!

9/11 was NOT A CALL TO ARMS, because it was not a COUNTRY ATTACKING US
However, this is how it has been viewed by both Bush and now unfortunately Obama… the “War on Terrorism” is a War on ideology, not very different than the Cold War. And just like the Cold War it will NOT be won by purely military means, thankfully the new Administration at least partially understands this.

CHENEY IS A WAR-CRIMINAL… and Obama is doing America a disservice by allowing this menace to run free with no trial, and now it seems as though he is prepping for some kind of ultra-conservative campaign. I just hope and pray that this nation will never allow ourselves to turn our backs on Progress.

    • Dale

You are a ripe fruit-cake . . . your revisionist history is right off the Chris Mathews show . . . lol
Terrorists trained in Afganistan . . . fact!!
Sadim funded and aided terrorists around the world . . . fact!!!
Hillery, Bill, AlBore, Albright, Kerry all said in 1999 “Saddam had WMD and was a threat to the world” . . .fact!!!
Why do you think the natives are revolting today in Iran . . . cause they see their neighbors enjoying fredoms they do not have . . . thanks to bush and the congress for voting to take down a violent dictator.

      • Curtis

Dale your argument is weak. In 1999 the Clinton group may have “thought” there were WMDs in Iraq, but that’s why UN weapons inspectors were sent to Iraq. Those weapons inspectors found nothing. They still hadn’t found anything when Bush and Cheney yanked them out of the country. There were no WMDs… FACT!!!
The natives are revolting in Iraq today because they can. Under Hussein there was no tribal in fighting. Hussein was a brutal dictator, but Iraqis enjoyed higher standards of living, better levels of education, better access to quality healthcare.
Bush and Cheney took down a brutal dictator? Who the he!! gave Bush and Cheney the rights to remove dictators around the world? You guys are all bent out of shape about Cuba, why not remove Castro? It’s close to home, you already have troops in Cuba and he is a “brutal dictator.” FACT!!!
Why didn’t Bush & Cheney go after the jerk in North Korea? He was one of Bush’s “Axis of Evil”. He is a brutal dictator and the whole world knows he’s developing long range missiles and nuclear weapons… THERE’S YOUR WMDs!! FACT!!!
Why invade Iraq but not any other dictatorship on the planet?? OIL!!!
Bush is a moron, but Cheney is just self-serving and downright evil.

            Coal”scab”minor,
The same way that Hitler could murder so many Jews and other non-Germans!!! Or do you not believe that happened either??? That would put you on the same footing as Iran’s Imadinnerjacket!!!!

Joe H, what did Coal Miner say that made you put “scab” in his name? You are really something else. Oh, that’s right he worked in the mines for a living and you have been given the right to demean him. Who gave you that right? Your true personal bias is coming thru. You must think he belonged to a Union right? So, therefore, he deserves your anger and belittling language. So Christian!!

Saddam and Bin laden hated each other, they had zero cooperation between them. Fact!

If some of the comments about being issolationist nation we have more oil than any diaper headed group of middle eastern nations, There is a pool of oil in western NS and SD eastern MT and Wyo. that make Saudia Arabia look like a puddle, but greenes, tree huggers and dems make parks and want to spend us into a third world. I know Dick Cheny tried to do more exploration in the interior of the Us and in Alaska, but I don’t hear Ron Paul say much except to work with flack dems to legalize pot so everyone loses motavation. The rag heads try to say Muslim relegion is a peaceful relegion that gain notorioty being lead by a peadofifal Mohamoad. The only way to defeat those misguided idoits is send them to hell in a pig hide basket. If we drilled for oil and put it on the market, the USA would be able to pay off its debts and send the sand monkeys back assualting camels and goats

    • RadicalRepublican

First of all, try getting an education before you go on rants about foreign policy. Your racist rhetoric is the reason America lost so much credibility over the last 9yrs.

How about losing our dependency on OIL, PERIOD. There are so many other more efficient and abundant sources of energy, that also happen to be cleaner… There are many ways to escape our dependence on Middle Eastern oil, not just tearing apart our land so we can burn more oil until our country is as smog-ridden as China… GEEZ!

      • Dale

A very small percentage of US oil comes from the ME . . . go check it out . . .

        • DaveL

Canada is starting to talk to China about oil exports. You better hope the Chinese leave some Canadian oil for the United States.

    • JJS

I’ve smoked pot for over 50 years, and I am still motivated. Maybe you should try it.

      • DaveH

Whether it motivates or not really isn’t the issue. The issue is – does the government have any business protecting us from ourselves? And have the Drug Wars done any good? They have enriched the worst segment of society (the Drug Lords) just as the Mafia was enriched by Prohibition. And now Mexico is in a state of seige as a result of those misguided drug wars. We could end the crime in a heartbeat by legalizing drugs. The drug prices would plummet, our freedoms would increase, and contrary to peoples’ fears the drug usage would probably decrease because the romance of doing drugs (the illegality) would be removed. Please read this article with an open mind and maybe learn a point of view which you haven’t previously encountered:

Of course Cheney is against pulling out of Iraq and Afghanistan. He’s holding billions worth of stock and options from his days at Halliburton. So long as the wars rage, Halliburton continues to profit and his personal stock holdings continue to be enriched. All his talk is just a desperate man trying to protect his nest egg.

          • J C

Duffy, that’s ridiculous. Tony Blair is a rat for sure. But to say he can be blamed for the conduct of the White House is a complete cop out. Taking direction from other nations would more or less make us the village idiot, wouldn’t it?

It seems, after reading these blogs, that very few really understand what is going on…You have to know that all of these politicians are under the control of the Bilderbergers/CFR/Jesuits/TL/MasonicOrder…
You need to understand that Dictator Obama and Cheney are both CFR members…No different than the fact that Republican George Bush and Dem-Head John Kerry are both “Skull & Bones” members and all of these secret organizations are behind the “One World Government” take over of the entire world…They all take their orders from the “Secret Organizations” above mentioned… If Ron Paul got anywhere close to becoming president he would exact the same fate as John F. Kennedy and his brother Robert…as they took action against these secret organizations… But remember this: Have you ever heard Ron Paul, as well as the Rush Limbaugh’s, Hannity’s, Galliger’s mention these “One Worlders”? Of course not!!! They are terrified to bring out the truth of what is really happening… The massive spending the influx of illegals, of which many are now Muslim, is all by the design of the “One Worlders… the desire for more and more people to be out of work…more taxing during a recession…Wars to continue to create debt… Designed to create a 3rd world country and world so that there will be no opposition…So keep on with your, “Republican against Dem-Heads”… “Cheney against Ron Paul” and “Ron Paul against the world,” and you will see things continue to deteriorate towards a third world Country then a World with all freedoms gone everywhere… except for the very elites who will control the entire World…

    • JJS

If this stuff is so secret, how do you know about it? Why don’t you tell us everything?

    • Michael J.

Gustav, I too am aware of the secret society of Republicans and Democrats who publically voice opposing vitriolic rhetoric, then sit side by side in annual Bilderberg meetings to receive and fufill the wishes of their shadowy masters. It all starts to make sense when you become aware of their true agenda.
Why wouldn’t you build a border barrier to protect the sanctity and sovereignty of a nation unless you were privy to the fact that the creation of the North American Union which is to include Mexico, Canada and The United States was eminant. Every other event that seems to make no sense becomes clear and focused once you become aware of the secret agenda.

      • JJS

If this stuff is so secret, how do you know about it? Why don’t you tell us everything?

        • DaveH

          JJS,
The way I see it, I don’t really care what the Shadow Men are doing. They couldn’t get away with it if we could just get the citizens to wake up and get back to the concepts of our Founders. That is, Individual Freedom, Individual Responsibility, and Limited Government. Big Government is the Problem, not the Solution.

          • JJS

You and many other people take that phrase that was muttered by Reagan out of context. What he said was, “In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.”

You would have been much more correct to say, “Big government is the problem in some cases, and the solution in others.” We need government to make and enforce laws, rules and regulations in many areas. For example, government has to make discrimination of all kinds illegal to keep minority groups (race, age, religion, etc) from being shown prejudice. Government also has to regulate the financial institutions to protect its citizens from the Bernie Madoffs. I don’t believe that you would want to live in a society where big government didn’t lay down ground rules.

          • DaveH

Sorry JJS, I completely disagree. Discrimination legislation is one of the many areas in which the Government has no business. And it doesn’t work anyway. When companies are faced with potential litigation from an employee, they do everything they can to avoid hiring that class of people. I have seen it in action. And why wouldn’t they? If the worker turned out to be a slug, who would you wish you had hired – the protected class who may envelop you in costly litigation or the non-protected class?
In a free market subject to competition (which we don’t have) the companies who hire the best workers, regardless of race or gender, are the ones who are going to win in the marketplace. The others who practice biased hiring practices are going to lose.

Fraud is occurring more than ever before in my lifetime and that is in the face of constantly growing Government regulations. As Government Grows, Corruption Flows. OK, JJS, tell me where that quote comes from, lol.

          • eyeswideopen

JJS, I agree with you. This country is in such a mess, as the corporations are running it with the monies paid to politicians to promote their own special interests. In the Medicare Advantage plan, IBM gets 400million to help their retired employees get meds. Why should the Federal Government (taxpayers) pay a subsidy to IBM for their employees? If you saw all the subsidies that are paid to companies like Halliburton, Dow Chemical, Boeing, Grumman, Lockheed-Martin, it would make you cry. We need to cut all subsidies to corporations. At the same time, we need to stop them from being able to purchase our politicians with contributions.

    • Joe H.

Oh, cripe, not another Mason theorist!!! you guys are crawling out of the wood work!!!! You guys are so brainless it isn’t funny!!! You been reading Kevin Trudeau again??? You don’t think it’s a little strange that a man that claims to be 70 years old looks to be all of 35? You ARE gullible!!!

    • BigIron

At last someone who has opened their eyes and can see that it’s not about the Dems and Reps, or even terrorists. Oh, that it were only the Dems and Reps and terrorists we have to defeat. Get scared, get active; time is short! The war is on, currently a mostly peaceful war, but war non-the-less. Fight now and pray that it is not necessary to escalate to the next level but remember the Boy Scout motto. The NWO must be defeated and given no quarter.

    • coal miner

      Gustav,

Go to Investment Forecast blog,it was the last blog I was on.

    • Claire

Why the Mason crap again?? My husband is a 32nd Degree Mason. He does not worship Lucifer. And he says anyone that thinks that is nuts! More of the same old lies. Egad. I cannot believe what I am reading. Do people believe everything the media throws at them? Sure, where there’s smoke sometimes there is fire. But good grief. Can’t we make up our own minds about the matters at hand? In a sense, we are all sheeples.

      • Earlw

        Claire,
There is another, more sinister degree above the 32nd which can only be entered by participation in the “raising ceremony”. The 33rd degree is not an official degree, but it exists nonetheless. Look for a book, if you can find it, titled “Apollyon Rising 2012″. The author is very well versed in the Masonic lodges. The aforementioned happens to be part of the **York Rite** branch of freemasonry. Just because your husband is a 32nd degree doesn’t prove anything. The more exotic teaching aren’t revealed to most except for chosen Adepts….

        • Claire

Oh, for Gosh sakes. You can bet I will have my husband check this out.

          • Joe H.

            Claire,
And if you had said your husband was a 33rd degree Mason he would have said the secret level is 34 and so on!!! It’s all so much Bull

        • Joe H.

          Earlw,
          Bull!!!!!

          • Claire

Joe H—My husband says the same—BS!!!!!

          • Joe H.

            Claire,
the problem is that the Masons want people that are “square” and on the “level” and these who spout the conspiracy crap don’t qualify!!!!

          • Claire

Joe H–Well, the Masons got a good one when they got my husband. He is a Mason and proud of it. He is on the level, he believes in God, he is honest, he does not lie, cheat etc. He is an extremely fairminded and trustworthy person. He does not go around looking for trouble, but if there is trouble, he does not back off. He stands for what he believes in and doesn’t go off the deep end about things. He keeps me in line, he is my “rock.” He treats others like he would want to be treated. After 50 years I still think highly of him. In fact, he is probably a better person than I am. He is retired, and I am still working by choice. It costs to show dogs! Although he has a lot of health issues, he is busy with our dogs, he golfs, goes to his Mason meetings, and plays cards with his friends. Egad, I really am rambling. But he has given me a good life, I could not ask for more.

          • cr747

Claire, from the comments I have read of yours, I can tell you have a good husband, and you deserve it. Myself, I to have a beautiful wife. We have been married 29 years. She works because she desires to be busy. She is a Certified Professional Coder for a major hospital. She beat breast cancer in 1993-4, at the age of 38. She has been cancer free since then. “God Bless all people who has to go through this.”
I can tell by some of your comments that you and your husband where put together by God. What a blessing I know it is for you and him and the good life you have together.
Me being away from home as much as I am, my wife prefers to work, so if that is what she wants then I back her. We have 2 children, boy and a girl, and three wonderful grand children. A boy 16, a girl 11, our daughters. Then we have a 2 year old grandson with our son. Our kids all of them are great, and have never been in trouble. I am so proud of them.
I don’t get to see them as often as I would like, but I do talk to them all each night by phone or e-mail.
Claire, like you I could ramble all night long, but will close for now, may God Add His Riches Blessings To You And Your Husband!!!!!!!!!

  • Bob Jones

I’m having a difficult time trying to figure out why Obama & his crew can critize Bush & Cheney every day, (and the press eats it up) but, (niether) Bush, or, Cheney can defend themselves.

    • David Long

I’m trying to figure out how we can support and find credible,on matters of our safety, the guard who was asleep on duty when 9/11 hit. The warnings were clear.

What would Barry Goldwater say about the Bush/Cheney performance in and out of office?

    • Norm

      Bob Jones
Where have you been? Cheney has been attacking the president (in time of war by his own definition) constantly. It’s been on every tv network from fox to msnbc.

      • Dale

Most of the attacks were before the pres figured out he was at war . . . it took him a year to say that . . . just the other day I believe. the scary part is . . . this guy is running the country.

        • Norm

          Dale
And doing it a lot better than Bush, in spite of the Bush legacy.
One one good thing Bush did is he made Carter the second worse president.

          • Joe H.

            Norm,
for once I agree with you! Bush did make it possible for Carter to become the second worst pres!!! By making it easier for O-man to be elected!!!! O-man has GOT to be the WORST president we EVER had!!! And he’s only been in a year! I shudder to think what he’s going to be like in another two or three!!!

    • JJS

It’s really hard to defend ignorance and incompetence.

  • Kevin

You retards that believe that a truck of fertilizer destroyed a 5 story concrete federal building are insane. Try to destroy anything with fertilizer and see for urselves instead of just believing what the lying federal government tells u. I bet you believe all the lies at Waco also, how sad. Everyone thinks they are so smart and can’t even see the elephant in the room.

    • JJS

You tell us the truth, Kevin. You make it sound like you know it all. Please don’t keep the rest of us in the dark. Educate us please!

      • Earlw

Kevin, your arrogance begs a comment! This issue was put to bed a long time ago by a former FBI Bigwig by the name of Ted Gunderson and a general Ben Partin, both of which have extensive knowledge of explosives, never mind all those farmers who used ANFO to blow out stumps. ANFO is a “low brissance” explosive, meaning slow-burning and with a soft shock wave. as opposed to PETN and other very high explosives, which have a fast burn and tremendous shock value, made more powerful when used as a shaped charge. I have had the pleasure of meeting with CDI, Controlled Demolitions Inc., which is the Louseux (sp?) Brothers Demolition co. I got a first hand tour of an old hotel which they were taking down as well as an education on explosives, so I ain’t talkin’ out my ass. Please be more informed when making statemnts like the above…….

        • Earlw

Excuse me I meant to direct this to JJS, Sorry

        • Joe H.

          Earlw,
I have a little knowledge of a certain inventive people Called the NVA who used all kinds of things for explosives and the modern day explosives aren’t the only tough kid on the block!!! As was said earlier you don’t have to melt or explode through steel for it to collapse!!! All you have to do is heat it up to a high enough temp to start rearranging the carbon structures in the steel for it to weaken and ultimately collapse. YOU should be more careful before makeing the statements you make!!!!

          • cr747

            Joe H,
I heard that airplane bomber the other day lit the wrong fuse in his drawers. He lit the short fuse!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That explains how he got burned!!!!!!!!!!!1

          • Joe H.

            cr747,
i said the other day that the guy got punished all to hell and back and he still has to go to court!!! OUCH!!!!

    • Joe H.

      Kevin,
Sorry dude but you need a tour in a war zone to see how many things can be made into explosives and powerful ones at that!!!! If you have already been in one, you should have paid better attention!!!!

    • DaveH

      Kevin,
I worked for a cement company 30 years ago that used fertilizer and fuel oil to blast lime rock formations. It is real.

    • coal miner

      Kevin,

The local farmers, including the farm I live on used nitrogen based fertilizer to blow up tree stumps.

      • cr747

coal miner, by accident did you get to close, and get hit in the head??????????

  • James Corbin

We are at war but it’s with people that want to die, doesn’t wear a uniform and want to kill americans. They, themselves call it a holy war!

  • Roy Hitchcock

THIS IS NOT AMERICA’S WAR. THIS IS BUSH’S WAR. WE NEVER SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN INTO THIS WAR. WE CAN BE THERE THE NEXT 100 YEARS AND IT STILL WILL BE THE SAME. THESE PEOPLE HAVE LIVED THIS WAT SINCE THE BEGINNING OF TIME AND WERE NOT GOING TO CHANGE THEM. IT’S TIME WE BRING OUR TROOPS HOME FROM MANY OF THESE COUNTRIES AND QUIT GIVING MONEY OUT TO NATIONS THAT DON;T SUPPORT US. THERE IS SO MUCH GRAFT IT’S TERRIBLE. BRING OUR TROOPS HOME AND HAVE THEM GET RID OF ALL THE ILLEGALS IN OUR NATION.

    • http://PERSONALLIBERTYDIGEST USNDOC

AS A VETERAN FROM THE KOREAN WAR ERA I MUST AGREE WITH ROY HITCHCOCK. WHILE I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE ENTIRE ARAB MIDDLE EAST AREA NUKED I ALSO REALIZE THAT THAT IS NOT THE WAY TO GO. THEY SAY THAT THE TALIBUMS AND THE AL QUACKSERS ETC ARE HIDING IN MOUNTAINOUS AREAS THAT ARE TOO DIFFICULT TO ATTACK WITH GROUND FORCES. THAT IS PROBABLY VERY TRUE BUT THERE IS ALWAYS ANOTHER WAY AND ONE WHICH WILL SPARE MANY GROUND FORCE LIVES. FOR YOU VETERANS OF WW11 AND KOREA AND VIETNAM WHO HAVE SEEN THE EFFECTS OF NAPALM BOMBING CAN YOU THINK OF A BETTER WAY? FLOOD THOSE MOUNTAINS WITH NAPALM AND RID THE WORLD OF A MAJOR PORTION OF LIVING SCUM. THEN GO BACK AND SPRAY THE SAME AREA WITH PIGS BLOOD. I BELIEVE THESE SO-CALLED WARRIORS OF PEACE MAY DECIDE TO STAY IN THEIR OWN BACKYARDS. WHAT HAVE WE GOT TO LOSE?

      • Joe H.

        USNDOC,
After seeing what napalm and Foo gas can do in RVN, it sounds good to me!!! Liked the addition of pigs blood too!

    • JJS

I’ll go for getting rid of the illegals.

    • Norm

      Roy Hitchcock
What’s really sad is we can’t afford these wars. We borrow the money and give the bill to our kids and grandkids. Meantime people like Cheney get rich contracting services to the military.

  • Robert

Would anone mind if the new directive given to our brave soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanstan was: ” Shoot to kill if you are threatened, we’ll ask them later if they are jihadists.”?

    • Joe H.

      Robert,
      NOT IN THE LEAST!!!

  • cerebus23

Cheney is not a war criminal, iraq violated the cease fire that was signed after the first war by shooting at our planes constantly in the no fly zones under clinton. we might not have declared official “war” but the united states had every right to go back in when iraq broke the cease fire agreement and tried like hell to down our planes.

Why is saddam hussein held in such glowing reguard by the left exactly? He was a thug and a brutal oppressor. He had rape rooms for women, he terrorized his own people. you were imprisoned, tortured or outright killed if you showed even a hint of opposing him, or you were unlucky enough to annoy one of his sons.

DO you know why the no fly zones were created? because after the first iraq war we left the kurds and others that rose up against saddam out to dry after they rose up encouraged by bush senor’s words thinking we were going to dispose saddam then.

They were getting butchered and we put the band aid on it to try and give them some protection. after our withdrawing troops had to watch helplessly and could do nothing as saddam cracked down on those that tried to rise up against him.

Just about every intelliegence agency in the world thought saddam had wmds. It was not chaney sitting in a closet somewhere making this stuff up.

Another fact about wmds particularly chemical wmds that saddam specialized in is they are not that hard to make and can be made quickly and easily if you have the know how and saddams scientists had the know how.

While saddam was bribing counties in the UN with oil and kickbacks trying to get the sanctions lifted. He would have been making new chemical weapons the second the sanctions were gone. and some of the countries on his payroll were pushing to get them lifted rather forcefully.

SO can we get off the bush lied cheney lied they are war criminals bull? people that keep insisting that are ignoring a whole ton of facts and common sense. While they did a number of stupid things and skirted declaring official war there are a good many things to criticize about the duo but this other crap is just so tired and brain dead.

Mr paul is an isolationist i respect the guy but i disagree with him greatly on his isolation views. We tried isolationist policies and got bombed by japan for our efforts. We allowed europe to slip into chaos, we sat on the sidelines while evil grew.

While our army is not the world’s police force and should not be used as such and we do need better defined and more selective use for our forces, especially in light of our country of continuinly cutting their numbers and funding. We should not bring them all home and let the world rot.

    • JJS

I’ve read your posts for the last couple weeks. Some I would call good and others bad. This is the worst of your bad ones and very little makes any sense. I’ll elaborate point by point:

      1. Cheney most definitely is a war criminal and so is Bush. In a straightforward and relatively non-legalistic manner, Michael Haas, Professor Emeritus of Political Science at the University of Hawaii, wrote the book GEORGE W. BUSH, WAR CRIMINAL?: THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION’S LIABILITY FOR 269 WAR CRIMES, in which he systematically goes through the Geneva Conventions and all the other relevant instruments of the laws of war, quoting the relevant passages of the various treaties and then immediately following up with a brief description of how the Bush administration violated that particular provision. Read it.

      2. Saddam is not held in glowing regard by anyone that I know of either from the left, right or middle. That may be your perception, but it would be hard for you to find a single American who holds him in glowing regard or agrees with your assertion that those on the left do. We had no business continuing the war against Iraq after it was found that they had no WMD. It isn’t the concern of any nation how another nation’s leaders treat their populace. If the Iraqis didn’t like Saddam’s treatment, it was up to them to revolt against him like the Revolutionists did against England when they tired of England’s mistreatment.

      3. Iraq’s violating the ‘no-fly zone’ is a phony excuse for the waging the war in Iraq. Bush first used the reason that Iraq had WMD. When there were no WMD found, he then changed his mission to eliminate the dictator, Saddam. After Saddam was executed, his reason was what? Why did we stay there after Bush declared, “Mission accomplished” on May 1, 2003? Oil? To enrich Haliburton? To divert attention of the American public while his banker friends stole from us? You seem to have all the other answers. Why, why why?

      4. How do you know what foreign intelligent agencies knew and didn’t know? Do you think the CIA, SVR and DISIP meet and exchange notes?

      5. Lots of American, British, Canadian and scientists from other countries know how to make chemical weapons. Should we execute them? Does it make sense to wage war and kill tens of thousands because Saddam and his scientists knew how to manufacture chemical weapons?

      6. Where did you get the information that Saddam was going to produce chemical weapons when the sanctions were lifted? Why did he have to wait until then?

      7. There is no defense for Bush and Cheney. Rumsfeld either. You are right that they did a number of stupid things – among them lying and torturing. They are criminals just like the Viet Cong who imprisoned and tortured John McCain and the American POW in the 60s and 70s.

      8. Ron Paul is not an isolationist. He adopted the Republican Liberty Caucus Position Statement which states, “The US government should inhibit neither the exportation of US goods and services worldwide, nor the importation of goods and services.” In an interview with Wolf Blitzer during the presidential campaign he said, “Isolationism isn’t what I advocate. I advocate non-intervention, not getting involved in the internal affairs of other nations, and not pretending a country like Iraq is equivalent to Nazi Germany. Iraq had no army, no navy, had no weapons of mass destruction, had nothing to do with 9/11, so the comparison makes no sense.”

      9. Your statement, “Our army is not the world’s police force and should not be used as such,” says it all. No further comment is needed.

      • Joe H.

        JJS,
In your first paragraph you state the flaw in your whole post! All that Haas stated was his opinion!!! Nothing else. what matters is the SC and their opinion and all others are like behinds in that everyone has one!!!

      • eyeswideopen

JJS, thank goodness for your reply. Well stated.

    • DaveH

Do you think, Cerebus, that we saved Europe in World War II? It was due to our negligence that many of the countries that had been occupied by Germany were turned over to the Soviet Union for occupation for many decades after the war. What a saving.

      • Joe H.

        DaveH,
Actually the worst part of that fact is that Patton offered to go in with his tanks, kick the russians behind and make it look like they started it! I believe to this day he could have done it, too! The pres and the Brass turned him down!!!

  • http://personallibertydigest John

Foolish, foolish, foolish people. While everyone is debating it is a war and arguing over ideologies, the Kenyan born person that the people of this country elected as our president is destroying our country from within and using us to do it. Wake up people. Foolish, foolish people.

Obama was born in Hawaii like millions of others. Would you question that if he was white?

      • libertytrain

Excuse me, but he’s as much white as he is black so enough with these ridiculous questions trying to create racism where it doesn’t exist.

        • JJS

          Good reply.

          • Kurt F

Like a racist stops attacking if someone isn’t really really dark. LOL

    • J C

If he was born in Hawaii…why all the controversy? Because he wasn’t that’s why. He did not hold a US passport when he was flying all over the place in his 20′s…(proud American that he is and all) Why not?

  • Redhead

Al Qaeda is still fighting the Bush/Cheney administration and will continue to do so as long as Cheney inappropriately (as a former VP) inserts his personal opinion into the dialog. Ron Paul is right!!!

To Cheney… You are no longer the voice of the White House, let it go. All you are doing is stirring an old poisonous brew and feeding extremists’ passions to recruit and attack us.

    • JJS

      Great post.

    • Joe H.

      Redhead,
AQ, like you and I (well at least I) know Cheney has no power any longer!!! Neither does Bush!!!

    • JJS

Yep, follow the money – from the US taxpayer to Haliburton and Bush’s banker buddies.

  • eddie47d

There are still folks who fall all over Dick Cheney. He has been a grumpy old man for many years. His support for torture is unbelievable. His invasion of Iraq was insane and manipulative. His preferential treatment of Halliburton and their ripping off of the American taxpayer is unexcusable. His 5 deferments are and even bigger disgrace, since he has attacked those who opposed that war and our present wars. As far as blaming the Bush/Cheney admin.;the truth stands on it’s own. I still here Bill Clinton being demonized 9 years after he’s been out of office.

    • http://aol Devil Dog

how old are you? 10, maybe 12? you lieberals make me laugh. If it wasn’t for Bush/Cheney we all would be speaking your favorite nation language of the muslim jihadists. I wish you idiots would wake up and listen to some real wisdom, like us who served and still carry the wounds for YOUR so called lousy rights that you think you deserve. I’m sick and tired of reading these imbecile posts, when you dums, Jackasses, which is the right mascot for the clowns {dums}, to which I belonged to until Carter, the goofy pacifist, and ISOLATIONIST that he was and I voted for, but wised up and got out of that fruitcake party. Dems used to be a good party to belong to all the way up to Kennedy, and then it lost all it’s values, morals and principles and went the way of lucifer. WISE UP KIDS!

      • American Citizen

I, too, wised up about the Democrat Party. Kennedy was the last Democrat I voted for for President. After I found out about him, I was sorry I voted for him.

    • Joe H.

      eddie47d,
were you just incensed by the fact that Clintoon demonstrated against this country on foreign soil and then sent our soldiers to their death???? If not, then you are so full of it you have brown eyes!!!!

      • Joe H.

        What, no answer to that???

      • eyeswideopen

Who cares about Clinton, he hasn’t had any power since Bush got elected. Cheney is a slim bag whose income increased from 22 million when he took office to 99.8 million when he left. Quite an increase don’t you think? Could be that he made all that money from Halliburton and those other companies that had “war” contracts for Iraq. No, I am sure he turned down that money, as it was a conflict of interest. LMAO!!!

  • James

There is considerable evidence now that Osama bin Laden was killed on December 13, 2001, by our forces who were then in Afghanistan. Bin Laden hasn’t been seen since then I would recommend reading “Kill Bin Laden” by Dalton Fury (2008), a Delta Force Commander who was there. Dick Cheney has admitted this. Osama bin Laden is being kept alive to justify our presence there.

    • Joe H.

      James,
Show me proof positive like DNA!!!!!

    • Earlw

There is some evidence out there to say that OBL died of kidney failure in 2001, coming from Pakistani gov’t source, plus some others. It was stated that he had ordered 2 dialysis machines, bu never took delivery. He is reputed to have been buried in the mountains of Tora Bora.

He definitely didn’t look good those last couple of years. Some of the later photos, obviously photoshopped, are of Impostors…

      • Joe H.

        Earlw,
What better way to hide from the world than to fake being sick and then spread rumors that you died!!!! He has enough money to order fifty of those things!!!

Earlw, it was on December 13, 2001 that the first imposter appeared on TV, and was suspected of being just that. The real bin Laden hasn’t been seen since that date, and coupled with the Delta Force book’s strong assumption that they got him, his failure to appear publicly tends to support that. Osama bin Laden wasn’t shy, nor was he ashamed of what he was doing, if he’s still alive it’s a pretty sure bet he would show himself. I think President Bush needed him alive to justify our military presence there. Many Americans (including the armed forces), if bin Laden were dead, would assume the conflict was over. Can’t have that.

  • http://personallibertydigest John

Judging by the numerous amount of people commenting on this website, it would appear that a lot of people are out of work (I work from home as some of you might). We have an equal problem in this country with unemployment – how about getting revved up about that?

  • Dale

You are probably right on John . . .

So according to Paul . . . Bush made the terrorists mad? After only 9 months in office they attacked NY. WOW!!!
Ron Paul has a pretty good take on the federal reserve con game, but his views on the religion of peace are confused . . . they have been causing problems in the world for 1200 years, long before Bush and the US. Cheney, defended the CIA and his own record. They kept America safe for 7 years. The Amateur Gang in the WH today, can’t say that . . . case closed!!!

    • Norm

America was relativly safe in spite of the Bush /Cheney shoot from the hip (even if its the wrong person) behavior.

      • Dale

America was 100% safe . . . can’t say that today . . . 3 attacks in last 6 months . . . Detroit was the latest, fortunately failed, but still an attack.

        • eyeswideopen

Dale, what three attacks? You are aware that the shoe bomber and 5 other attacks happened on Bush’s watch after 9/11 aren’t you?

    • JJS

Tell the over 5,000 dead soldiers that Bush and Cheney kept them safe. Case closed.

    • DaveH

Oh, come on Dale. That is an unprovable statement. I don’t believe our Military occupying foreign countries is keeping us safe. If anything it is just breeding more hatred for the United States.
We need to limit our military excursions to hammering those who dare to attack our country and then get the flock out of their countries. Let them do their own rebuilding.

      • Norm

        DaveH
Hold on to your hat but I think you are right on this one.

        • DaveH

          Thank you Norm.

  • J. Wells

Ron Paul shouldn’t be allowed out without adult supervision. He’s a danger to himself and others.

    J.WElls

  • Abrain

    Gustav,
I am not familure with many of the organizations you list, but there is a saying which is apropos here – “follow the money” – has anyone else wondered just exactly where the trillions of dollars went that were simply printed in 2009 by the “Fed”. Hint – look at the recently reported banking proffits and the current bonus payment scandals surrounding Wall Street.

  • Sunny

Ron Paul is entitled to his opinion as is Dick Cheney. I frankly enjoy hearing what VP Cheney says and do not believe his criticism of this administration is out of line because there is MUCH to criticize!

    • Norm

Sounds like a Rush direct quote. Some people are conned so easily. Stay away from radical christianity.

      • Dale

Sounds like a Chris Mattews quote . . . does your leg tingle when you watch the amateur pres???

      • coal miner

        Norm,

I have being say it for years. These morons have being getting Radical Christianity from (The fat No balls Rush Limbaugh and Glen Imbecile) Beck types. They aren’t smart enough to do their thinking for them selves.

        • JJS

Limbaugh and Beck doing their thinking for them is JimBob’s line. How true it is.

        • Joe H.

          coal miner,
I would have to say even that would be better than getting it from you seeing as how your savior, O-man, will soon be selling you down the river!!!!!! TAX THAT CADILLAC PLAN!!!!!!! You might have to go back down in the mines to make ends meet now!!!!

        • DaveH

Oh, yeah, and you Liberals definitely think for yourselves:
“lets see, how can we best take money away from responsible people?”

          • Norm

You mean like the financial superstars that nearly sank the economy?

          • Joe H.

            Yeah,O-man and Biden!!!

          • DaveH

            Norm,
Get a copy of Thomas Sowell’s “The Housing Boom and Bust” and read it please.

            And then read this article:

  • markus

When Bush came into office, Clinton rapid fired at him, so now it’s Cheney’s turn. It is all just a bunch of side show shenanigans. When are we Americans going to WAKE UP? THEY ARE ALL THE SAME!!!! These puppets with no integrity, conscience, or fear of God will pay for their wantant desire to destroy our country. Americans need to get off the couch, get engaged as intense as these far left communist overthrowers. There is little time left, and hopefully we can get ALL OF THESE evil doers out of office….True Conservativism, not fake Republican hypocrisy, is the only thing that can save us….

    • JJS

This is one of the most sensible and truthful things that I have read in the couple of weeks that I have been following this blog.

    • Joe H.

      markus,
And I do have to say Bush and Cheney didn’t try to steal everything not nailed down from the Whitehouse like Slick Willie Clintoon and his wifey did. “Oh, we thought they were ours to take huhuhuhu! I mean ALL the good hotels give out souvenirs, right?

  • eddiefreddie

I reccomend a google search for Afghanistan Pipeline . This is what the terror wars are about. I served in the USMC so killing people does not bother me. Either let us kill them all or bring the troops home now so we can fight the communists on our home soil. And stop all the lies.

  • Norm
    • Joe H.

      Norm,
      O-man health care=More Cash!!!!

      • Joe H.

O-mans cap and trade= even more cash.
O-mans stimulus = lots more cash.
O-mans clunker program= a tremendous amount of cash.
        O-mans appliance clunker program= same same..CASH
O-mans tax the banks even though they paid back with interest=yumpin yiminy the cash!!
O-mans tax the middle class health ins plans= you guessed it more cash!!! Do you get the idea now??? Do you need more??

        • cr747

Obamas tax on the middle class is unfair. He needs to cut every ones pay in the Whitehouse. Also put them on the insurance that he wants to put the American people on. When they retire let them live on Social Security. Get rid of some of the help or aids his wife has on her staff. She must be lazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Deborah

I have always loved Dick Cheney because he didn’t mince words about his values, even when his support of Gay’s (his daughter is Gay) made the Bush Administration squirm.

Ron Paul also doesn’t mince words; it’s just that Paul fails to see in the Constitution that protecting the U.S. and its interests includes international involvement. Yes, Clinton said (!) and Bush believed that there were no weapons of mass destruction. What most people refuse to accept is that Saddam used WMD’s killing thousands of his own citizens, the bodies were filmed for God’s sake. Yes, even though most of the 9-11 terrorist came from Saudia Arabia, I think further investigation revealed most terror training camps HELLBENT on killing AMERICANS were located in Iraq THUS the reason Iraq and Saddam (happy to have terror camps in Iraq) was targeted by the Bush Administration.

When Ron Paul accepts the above, I will consider voting for him.

    • JD

“it’s just that Paul fails to see in the Constitution that protecting the U.S. and its interests includes international involvement.”

OK Deborah, I’ll bite, where in the Constitution does it say anything about the USA getting involved in other countries foreign affairs?

“What most people refuse to accept is that Saddam used WMD’s killing thousands of his own citizens, the bodies were filmed for God’s sake. Yes, even though most of the 9-11 terrorist came from Saudia Arabia”

Yes Saddam was a bad man and killed thousands of his own. But around this time hundreds of thousands were being killed in Darfur, Rwanda and Sudan to name a few and we did little or nothing. The bottom line is we can’t help everyone nor can we afford it. Who should decide which countries we help and which ones we don’t?

“I think further investigation revealed most terror training camps HELLBENT on killing AMERICANS were located in Iraq”
Iraq had zero ties to 9/11 no wmd and no al queda until after we invaded. The war was a mistake, one that we have paid with lives and will be financed by future generations. We cannot afford this big government foreign policy. I think our generation should fund our government, not future generations don’t you?

    • JJS

Am I to understand that you justify Bush’s war that killed tens of thousands of Iraqis and thousands of Americans as punishment for Saddam using WMD to kill thousands of other Iraqis? How is that justifiable? Should Clinton have sent troops into Oklahoma and kill its people because Timothy McVeigh trained at a terrorist camp in Elohim City?

  • Deborah

Obviously; I meant to say: Yes, Clinton said (!) and Bush believed that there WERE weapons of mass destruction.

  • Claire

It took years to get America into this mess and it will take years to get out of it. This mess did not happen overnight and it will not be taken care of overnight. I believe both parties are at fault for the shambles that has been created. They all had a chance when they were in office. If we had a Republican President you would all be doing the “Happy Dance.” The same applies to the Democrats. There is no man that will be a “perfect” President. And no administration will be perfect. They cannot get along and work towards the betterment of America. It is constant fighting with nothing being accomplished. And we as taxpayers are paying their salaries. Why don’t they take a cut in pay? Why don’t they take a bus to work instead of being driven in limos? Why do they have the best insurance in the world and a fabulous pension? Why can’t they live frugally instead of wasting taxpayers money? I will be the first one to say that this is not realistic but they need to live in the “real world.”

    • JJS

      Makes sense to me.

    • Joe H.

      Claire,
tie ALL politicians pay to the economy!! That way if it goes down, they suffer right along with us and if it goes up they get a reward!!!

      • Claire

Joe H–unlike some of the rest of us, more than likely, they will still get paid their full salaries. They won’t have to take a cut in pay, they won’t get laid off, and they still receieve their perks, UNLESS the bottom drops out totally. Then they should be in the same boat as some of the rest of us.

  • ONTIME

I guess nothing or no one is ever perfect, Ron Paul is my example. I do like his viewpoint on taxes, economics and small government but his point he makes about the war and the terrorist we are fending off is just mortifying. He just doesn’t seem to realize it was not us that wanted to pick a fight, it was a bunch of loony islamic extremist with no country that declared war on us, all other infidels and any muslim or family member that doesn’t seem to agree with their twelfth century mentality. I wish he could understand that these maniacal kooks who wear their shorts to tight and avoid pig skins at all cost would enjoy carving him up for sport and that would be after they murdered his family in front of his eyes. Maybe Cheney should give him a pesonal tour of their handiwork and maybe he would stop mouthing that nonsense.

    • Claire

I got a laugh out of the “shorts too tight.” A bike trail is near my house, and the guys that go down this bike trail are really “into” it. They wear Speedos (tight latex shorts) and fly down the trail on their fancy bikes. It always makes me laugh. I think they are Lance Armstrong wannanbes. Last summer one of them hit a walker. Had to call the ambulance. She was badly bruised but ok. Sorry, got off the subject.

    • DaveH

So when does the retaliation end? We are over there killing them like animals with no trial to determine if they are guilty or not. When we kill them it is righteous, but when they kill us it is evil. This is not a football game. These are human lives. If it at least brought peace maybe I could applaud the effort. But it doesn’t.

      • denniso

We’ve destroyed Iraq(which was no threat to us) and killed hundreds of thousands of civilians in Afghanistan and Iraq and wasted around a trillion $$ there and we still have an airplane bomber and we still don’t feel safe…something wrong in our strategy??

        • Joe H.

          Denniso,
yeah we should send all you objectors over there and see if you still cry for them when they start beheading you like they did that news reporter!!!!

          • cr747

Joe H, they couldn’t handle it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • gofer

Remember there was a “cease fire” in the first Gulf War and Sadaam begin violating the U.N. resolutions almost immediately, over 17 of them over a decade. Funny thing, Clinton and Gore and every prominent democrat thought Sadaam had WMDs or was building them long before Bush became President. Bush didn’t need to make up anything. He had all the U.N. violations as well as the Intelligence community backing him. It’s absurd to think that Bush just dreamed it all up and fooled all the Brits, Aussie, Germans and also convinced all their intelligence communities. Can anybody prove that he didn’t move them? BTW, they did find 500 tons of yellow-cake uranium.

I didn’t agree with Iraq War or Bush’s policies, but to just make him out to be some evil genius who managed to fool the entire world is beyond absurd.

    • denniso

common knowledge, Cheny masterfully molded the intelligence and public opinion to fit his and jr’s desire to invade Iraq..he had plenty of help, but Cheny will go down in history as a very clever and competent manipulator and liar and actual ‘evildoer’. Jail him now!

  • Joe

What most people don’t understand and that includes our illegitmate president Osama oops I mean Obama, is that we are at war. The war between good and evil. We have been in this war for hundreds of years ever since Muhammed took the contents of the Bible (the only true word of God) and twisted and turned everything in it around to justify his acts of war and write his own book The Koran. Being illiterate himself he could not actually write the book which for the most part is a contradiction of the Bible, he had to have others do the actual writings. This means that he could not even be sure of what was being writtened. While I agree that not all Muslims are terrorists, they all want world domination they all want the world to be Muslim and only Muslim, and so the war continues.
Some Muslims want to take over the World peacefully by taking over countries from within, like what is happening in our own country and in England, Canada and other free countries. Some of these people come over legally while others cross over illegally through Mexico and Canada once here they learn how to stay and get jobs. They then start families, big families in order to overwhelm the American christian population and eventually turn this country to a Muslim nation. As our president has stated “we are no longer a Christian Nation”. I don’t know what our president considers our nation to be, but my suspisions are that deep down inside he is still a muslim. I believe that he would like to see our country become a powerless third world muslim nation so that the so called “One World Government” will have no real opposition for a takeover of the world. It has already been said that Obama is being groomed to head the NWO and from the looks of it, It appears as though his goal is to create economic chaos and bankrupt our country thus an easy takeover.
I am asking, no I am begging every patriotic American christian or not, to not let this happen we can do this peacefully by voting Obama out of office. Obama is not good for our country, our christian values, our constitution or for that matter the entire world.
Let us all pray for the nation of Isreal “God’s chosen People”, for the muslim people to get on the right side of God and last but not least we christians the true believers in our lord Jesus Christ.

  • Annie Ladysmith

There is not a politician alive that can take the US in or out of a war. These decisions are made by the money-power elite and are passed down the chain of command. There is no difference between any of the puppets they use in Washington, they all answer to their masters, and they will do their master’s will. Just by the simple fact that they are “elected” and in Washington puts all of them suspect to deceit and treason.

    • JJS

Interesting facts that you present! Who are the money-power elites? When and where do they meet to make these plans? How are their decisions passed down the chain of command?

  • Leftfoot Leeds

I have been a Libertarian since 1981, before many Ron Paul supporters were even born. I am not saying this as a cut or slight, just a valid observation. So keep your emotions in check and just think for a moment.
I want to ask a question or two to those.
If party ‘A’ declares war on party ‘B’. Is the only way party ‘B’ can defend itself, is to “declare war also?
And in this case since party ‘A’ is an ideology not a country, uses irregular warfare, and holds to absolutely no rules, and are irrational death eaters that want to kill and die, and who have many, many philosophical brethren infiltrated into our own govt. Isn’t a formal declaration of war a waste of time? We might as well just declare war on the Democrat and Rhino Parties in this country. It won’t happen! Not because the ideal is wrong, but because the will is absent. It is pointless and infantile to make the arguments you make after the fact. These argument were made before hand and the decision was made to go in. Ron Paul, I love him on his economics. But he is wrong on how he looks at this. Yes, you can say the Constitution says this or that. It also gives the president war powers and congress gave Bush the OK. It is what it is. Save your emotion for the enemies in Congress and quit eating your own. You guys on both sides of this argument seriously sound like you’ve swallowed diversity intolerance hook line and sinker.
P.S. F.Y.I. I voted for Ron when he ran for President so I have been around that block once or twice.
Learn to persuade and educate not destroy. You can’t possibly be any more frustrated than me. Look forward to your learned reply’s.

    • Joe H.

      Leftfoot Leeds,
while I will agree that Paul would be a great pres, he can’t be elected therefore you only tell me that at least once, you wasted your vote!!!

      • Kurt F

Much like a dumb question only being the one not asked, there is absolutely no such thing as a wasted vote unless it’s a ballot left at home the day after election. Democracy is the choice of the people by the vote of their conscience, not voting for who you think will win because of something you heard a pollster say in the media.

        • Joe H.

This from a man that waits on tall buildings for his Alien benefactors!!!

Terrorism is a world wide problem, yet our country that represents 5% of the population is doing 95% of the fighting. Is that fair to the US taxpayer? Should our country continue to be policemen of the world with money we don’t have in effect being financed by future generations? Our present foreign policy is one in which we defend S Koreas border better than our own. I think our generation should fund our government, don’t you?

    • Norm

After the fiasco in Nam, the bloodshed in Iraq, and Afghanastan and all the other imperial invasions, didn’t it ever occur to you that to maney people we are the bad guys?

Rightwingers hate the gov’t but love the military,no matter what it does, even tough it is a function of the gov’t. They can’t imagine that we ever do anything wrong if it involves the military and blowing people up. Also they believe that we are the only special country in the world which means we are on God’s side in all things,so we are always right.

        • Joe H.

      • Tinwarble

        Norm,

So as a usual Liberal you would take the position of up lifting those that would see us dead and find fault with your own country. Yes to some of the world they would see us as a bad guy but that is because we are tolerant of other cultures and believe in freedom. Do you not realize that the people that you would defend don’t care to debate you nor do they care what political spectrum that you fall. All that they do care about is whether you think as they do or not, and if the later then all they wish is to see your head separated from your body. Perhaps it has never occurred to you to look to see how many millions of people have been tortured, starved and killed by their own people only to retain their “Iron Fist” of power.

Apparently you have a revisionist view of history, or just don’t know history at all. Or you would have mention in the same breath that you would Vietnam that 3 million people were killed when we withdrew and state that millions are now being killed and starved because of their leaders lust for power. Maybe, instead of trying to use Iraq and Afghanistan as a rock to bash people over the head who don’t agree with you, you would mention that women can now get an education, that they don’t have to worry about being drag out in the street and get shot in the head. That those people that you would have feign sympathy for no longer have to worry about being tortured, raped, killed, being thrown from buildings or having their limbs cut off because they disagreed with their leader.

So don’t hand me your false view of the world, and try to tell me that we are the bad guys. If you had ever seen the true cruelty that exist in the world you might have a different view and see the actual good we have done, instead or just sitting comfortably in your home enjoying the freedom that most people in the world can only long for.

        • Joe H.

          Tinwarble,
          Amen brother!!!!

  • JJS

You are just full of information and CRAP, too.

  • JJS

Who said Saddam wasn’t a bad guy?

Khrushchev, Brezhnev, Andropov and the other Soviet leaders were bad guys. Should we have fought an undeclared war with them?

Ahmadinejad is a bad guy. Should we invade Iran?

Chavez is a bad guy. Should we attack Venezuela?

Why haven’t we gone into Cuba because Castro is a bad guy?

How can you possibly justify your silly statement?

    • Tinwarble

Let me see, how do I answer that,

Did you forget about the “Cold War”?

      Yes!!

      Maybe!!

How about the Bay of Pigs.

And, because you seem to come down on the side of just having left Saddam alone, instead of rejoicing that at least one murderous, psychotic dictator is no longer in the world.

      • JJS

Let me see, how do I answer that.

Oh yeah, how many people, Soviets and Americans, were killed in the Cold War? How many people were forced to leave their homeland in the Cold War? Which country was totally destroyed in the Cold War?

Now that we have covered that, answer the same questions for the Bay of Pigs.

      • JJS

I forgot to add, what business is it of yours, mine or any other American how many murderous, psychotic dictators are in the world?

        • Joe H.

          JJS,
Actually there WERE soviets killed in RVN, an undeclared war!!! Look it up!!! I don’t have to I was there!!!

        • Tinwarble

          JJS,

Apparently, you have a revisionist view of history and I do not have the time to teach you.

But to answer your about what business it is of our how many murderous dictators there are. So, I suppose you would just sit on your couch as your neighbor gets murdered. I suppose, as for what is going on now in Haiti, what business is of ours that those people are dead and suffering, why should we spend our time and money to go help them. Our business is that the mighty must stand up for the weak, especially when the weak can’t stand up for themselves. What about the genocide happening in Darfur and other parts of Africa, does this not effect you at all, is it that you are only concerned with the freedom you want? You would talk about freedom that you want, but never give a thought about others who can only dream about the freedom that you have.

          • Joe H.

            Tinwarble,
From what I’ve read here sounds about right!!!!

          • JJS

            Tinwarble & Joe H,

I look at history the way it is written. You look at history the way you opine that it is.

To be frank with you, my neighbor’s business is none of mine until it affects my family or me. While I wouldn’t conspire to murder him or harbor his killer, I wouldn’t leave my neighborhood to wage war on someone who is a threat to him either if it endangered my family and me. The same applies to Iraq. If whatever was happening there was a threat to our nation, I would have been the first to call for whatever action that was required to negate the threat, but that wasn’t the case.

Helping the people in Haiti that are victims of a natural disaster is a whole different ball game. Sending them aid is a whole world away from endangering the lives and limbs of over 100,000 American troops to impose our will on a nation that not only didn’t ask for us to intervene, but also resented our presence.

Since you brought up Haiti, if we invaded Iraq, over 6,000 mile from the USA, because Saddam was slaughtering the weak Iraqis who couldn’t stand for themselves, why didn’t we invade Haiti, only 700 miles or so from our shore, when Papa Doc and Baby Doc were slaughtering the weak Haitians who couldn’t stand for themselves?

Darfur? Why aren’t 100,000 troops there to protect those people and free them? Do you see, Tinwarble, the hypocrisy of your argument?

Finally, do you find it rather ironic that Americans will open their wallets to provide aid to the Haitian people, but won’t contribute one red cent toward helping the plight of the uninsured people in their own community – maybe even your neighbor?

          • cr747

Well, the anti-semitic racist somehow didn’t mention the greatest mass murderer in human history (34,000,000 to 100,000,000+ victims), that evil Israelite named Mao Tse-Tung. (A note to all stupid racists who might not get it: This is tongue-in-cheek satire.)

  • Pete

But Ron Paul is an idiot, we all must remeber. The tired BS about “The terrorists came from saudi Arabia” is as irrelevant as my dogs ass.
The real threats were Afganistan and Iraq . What dolt this guy is.

    • Tinwarble

Adam Gadahan is an American Al Qaeda member, should that matter.

    • JJS

So am I to understand that if Pakistan had dropped a nuclear bomb on the United States, Bush should have attacked Canada? Doing that would be as ridiculous as Bush sending American troops to attack Iraq because a bunch of Saudis flew planes into some of our buildings. Oh gosh, Bush did that, didn’t he?

      • Tinwarble

        What???

First of that makes no sense, yes the terrorist were Saudi’s. But they had there training in Afghanistan though, which by the way is where Bin-Laden was. Also, Afghanistan was run by the Taliban who was harboring Al-Qaeda, which is the group which the terrorist belonged. That Al-Qaeda is not a country, but a group, you have to go after them where they are based. By that obtuse reasoning we should have attacked ourselves, because they had been living here for a number of years. And my point about Adam Gadahan being an American Al-Qaeda member is that since he has been calling for attacks on America, should we go blow up his home town here in the US, or should we go after him where he is in the mountains of Pakistan & Afghanistan. It doesn’t matter to which country terrorist’s are citizens, because they come from many different countries, we have to after them where they live.
And as for Iraq, maybe you forget that Saddam was giving aid to terrorist & also sending money to the families of Hezbollah suicide bombers. Or was that just out of the goodness of his heart?

        • JJS

You are right that attacking Canada because Pakistan dropped a nuclear bomb on the United States makes no sense just like attacking Iraq made no sense. That is my point. Do you believe like you wrote that because al-Qaeda trained in Afghanistan, bin Laden was in Afghanistan (or was it Kazakhstan?) and the Taliban in Afghanistan was harboring bin Laden, Bush was justified attacking Iraq? If so, you make no sense.

While it may or may not be true that Saddam was aiding the terrorists and sending money to the families of Hezbollah suicide bombers, why is that our business? Our country sends aid to Pakistan. Does that give India, Pakistan’s arch enemy, the right to attack us? Would Venezuela be justified launching an attack on us because we aid Colombia? You sound like Bush to me – a warmonger who makes any and every conceivable excuse for waging war to benefit the military-industrial complex in general and Haliburton in particular.

          • Joe H.

            JJS,
If you opened your mind a little you would see that suicide bombers threaten everyone, not just the middle east!!!

        • JJS

You must not be a working man. Any working man who doesn’t belong to an employees’ organization formed for the betterment of wages and working conditions is out of his mind. In almost every case, his employer belongs to an employer’s or business organization formed for their betterment. The playing field must be level.

          • Joe H.

            JJS,
My wife works for a world wide company that has offices and factories in, I believe 17 different countries. She has her pick of seven different health plans, stock plan, investment package, she now gets 6 weeks of vacation, a very good retirement plan and it is non-union!!!! Why would she want a union in there to screw things up?? I have worked for IBEW, UAW, And the Teamsters and all the three ever did was screw me up!!! IBEW went on strike and when we went back the whole second shift was laid off, UAW, the whole shop closed down as the company couldn’t afford to stay in business!!! Teamsters raided a shop I was working in and when we didn’t want to go on strike(with no strike pay of course!) they walked away from us and the owner, who had worked with us quite well up till then, laid off the whole second shift in retaliation!!! So why would I support a union???? Oh, and let’s not forget the latest fiasco. Tax all the better plans, sir but don’t tax us sir!!!!!! Screw the unions!!!

          • JJS

            Joe H.

No matter the amount of anecdotal evidence that you can present, you are still wrong about workers organizing. Did you ever hear the saying, “United we stand, divided we fall,” words repeated by orators from all walks of life over and over? That phrase has rung true since the sixth century BC when Aesop spun his fables. It was repeated throughout history by great Americans like Benjamin Franklin and Abraham Lincoln, and most recently was the battle cry after the attacks upon the United States on 9/11.

The maxim that the powerful elite practices to keep their subjects unorganized and under their thumbs is, “Divide and conquer.” This technique is used to empower the employers to control their workers, who collectively might be able to oppose their rule.

Since there is no sensible argument against there being strength in numbers, I am anxious to see his reply to what I wrote.

          • Joe H.

            JJS,
yeah united we stand was to our country and all the Unions do now is divide us as evidenced by their back room deal on insurance. But even that will backfire on them as I hear there are a lot of non-union people that have sworn not to buy union made till that deal is reversed!!! What’s good for the goose is good for the gander! I hope you both get fat on your words!!! I also hope that O-man is the one that has to reverse it or go, even though he’s as good as gone as far as the election is concerned!!!

          • JJS

            Joe H,

You got some things right, but only a fool can’t see that there is strength in numbers. The businesses that we work for all know that. They belong to organizations with other businesses that have the same interests they do to better themselves like the American Medical Association, Steel Manufacturers Association, Associated Builders and Contractors, Glass Association of North America, National Retail Federation and hundreds and hundreds more like them; however, most of them don’t want their workers to have the same privilege.

You are letting your prejudices allow your ass to overload your mouth. I recommend that you drop this argument before everyone on this blog loses respect for anything you post.

          • Joe H.

            JJS,
you need to do a little research. Less than 15 percent of ALL Drs. belong to the AMA. Less than 20% of All nurses belong th the American nursing assoc!!! Those Dr.s in their bright white coats at the briefing? O-mans point man handed them out right before the briefing!!! Boy were you suckered!!!

          • JJS

What’s your point? That 85% of the doctors belong to the AMA tells me that only 15% of them have much sense.

I have doctor friends that complain about how the government and insurance companies are controlling what they can and can’t do and dictating how much they will get paid for doing it when they are permitted to. Do you think that maybe if they all stuck together, they would have enough clout to get the government and insurance monkeys off their backs and be allowed to practice medicine and run their businesses the way they want to?

          • Tinwarble

            JJS,

I have worked construction most of my life, until the last few years in which now I work for myself. I had always earned good wages and had good benefits without the need of a middle man telling me what work I could do or not do. Unions had a good place when they were started, but now they just look out for themselves, and are responsible for much of the mess that we are in now. Go ask those that have lost their jobs at Saturn or Pontiac how the Unions helped to keep the doors open there. How much of those Unions dollars has gone to get politicians elected (like Obama) that are ruining the country. So you go ahead, pay your dues, and when the Union demands so much that the company you work for can’t afford to keep its doors open any longer, try not to go gripping about how the company’s just bunch of cheap, money grubbing bastards who don’t care about the employees.

          • Claire

JJS—Years and years ago when unions first started, I believe they had good qualities. But now in the present life and times, a lot of unions and people have become too controlling and greedy, and this is one of the reasons why companies went overseas. Unions and people wanted something for nothing and it has backfired. When this happened, this took away the jobs and the illegals stepped in. Illegals will work for next to nothing and a lot of them are good workers. It has been a rude awakening. Americans want their country back. Americans want their freedom and the good old American way of life. In essence, I agree with some of the comments on this and other sites, the enemy has been we the people in many ways. And I believe at this time Americans will no longer put up with the garbage that has been hurled at us. Americans are speaking out and they should. They have every right to stand up against the government or whatever is ailing America. I believe the people of America have more common sense, morals, ethics, honesty, and truthfulness than any politician.

          • Claire

I have worked for the same company for 30 years. It was my first and only job. It is a family-owned business. I have always had good benefits, insurance, vacation time and sick time. Thankfully I did not go to work until my kids started school. A big plus was that if your kids got sick you stayed home and took care of them. In reality, family came first if there was an illness. Same with the employees. I have always been a good worker and this company has been good to me, and thankfully I enjoy the work that I do. I rambled, but my point is that we do not have a Union.

          • JJS

            Tinwarble,

I also worked construction for most of my life, not one minute for a non-union company. I had and continue to have the very best benefits that a working man could ever want. After working thirty five years, I retired at age 58 with an income that is considerably higher that the average income of a working male with a high school education. My wife and I have medical, dental and vision benefits that covers more than 90% of those expenses, and we will have that until the day we die. The money to cover those benefits is already in the bank in the form of trust funds. Can you make that claim?

Your prejudice against unions really shows with your less than intelligent comment implying that the unions had anything to do with GM dropping the Saturn and Pontiac autos from its line. Never did the union have anything to do with the engineering, marketing, sales or any other business decisions made by GM. Management made the decisions that resulted in the union workers losing their jobs. All the union ever did was negotiate the wages, benefits and working conditions for the workers in those plants, even the workers in the right-to-work states who opted not to join the union and paid nothing for being represented. You must be unaware that every autoworker in Japan and most all of them in the EU are union members, and the companies they work for are still going strong. How do you explain that?

Your prejudice rears its ugly head again when you question union’s political contributions. While its true that labor spends a good deal of money on campaign contributions and lobbying efforts, whatever that amount might be is dwarfed by the amount that corporations spend for the same. Why would you think that it is okay for the bosses to contribute like drunken sailors and the workers not be able to do the same?

And your partiality shows again when you claim that unions demand so much of companies that companies can’t keep the doors open. If that were true, there would be no companies that employ union workers. Companies go out of business because they are mismanaged, not because they have union workers. Unions negotiate agreements. Agreements are made between two or more parties. Unions can’t force the companies to agree to anything that the companies don’t want to agree to. They negotiate and meet somewhere between the two ends.

I’ll repeat again – united we stand, divided we fall. If you don’t have enough sense to join together with others who share the same wants, needs and goals in life and choose to stand alone against the establishment, you will never accomplish much in life.

          • Joe H.

            JJS,
” the unions had nothing to do with closing shops” yeah wright!!! then why did so many auto shops close right after these so called “agreements”? You say you will have your benefits for life, but I wouldn’t depend on that if the government option goes into effect, and you won’t be exempt from that!!! Especially since the unions have had to take over your retirement and benefits. The union will JUMP at the chance to dump you like so much chaff!! Just like Addressograph after people were retired for 10 years, the union and company both came to the retirees and told them they had “miss-figured their rate of retirement and cut their checks in half and the government let them!!! Me, I depend on no company for my retirement as I was smart enough to invest!!! When my wife is ready to retire we will be comfortable!!! Oh, and I don’t tell my wife when she has to retire, that is entirely up to her!!!

          • JJS

            Joe H.,

You need a lesson because you don’t know what you are talking about when you shoot your mouth like you have continued to do on this blog. First, unions NEGOTIATE wages, benefits and working conditions with employers for their members. Never have the union negotiators held a club or gun to the head of the employers to force them to agree to anything. The employer agreeing to terms that he can’t live up to is nobody’s fault but his own. That is clear to anybody who has half a brain and doesn’t let his prejudices blind him to reality.

Second, my pension and benefits are guaranteed for life because there are trust funds, one for pension benefits and another for health and welfare, that each have in excess of a quarter of a billions dollars in them. If the “government option” (whatever you mean by that) becomes effective, then I’ll be covered by it, and my union plan will pay whatever the “government option” doesn’t. So I can indeed count on being covered.

Third, my retirement benefit programs is, has been and always will be administered by a committee of trustees that consists of contractor representatives, union officials and rank and file union members. The same holds true for the health and welfare fund.

Fourth, I googled “Addressograph cut retirement” and got nothing that would verify that what you say about their cutting retirement benefits in half is true. I won’t say that it isn’t true, but until you provide evidence that it is, I will believe that you have either been mislead, or you are trying to mislead all of us who read your post. Furthermore, there is the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation that is to pension participants what the FDIC is to bank depositors. PBGC is a federal agency created by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 to protect pension benefits in defined benefit pension plans. If a plan ends without sufficient money to pay all benefits, PBGC’s insurance program will pay the pensioners the benefit provided by the pension plan up to the limits set by law. (Most people receive the full benefit they had earned before the plan terminated.)

Fifth, I am happy for you that you made good investments and don’t require a pension from your previous employer(s). My retirement funds were invested wisely also by professional pension administrators who manage hundreds of millions and whose exposure to risk is much less than it is for an individual investor. My foresight in choosing union membership paid off handsomely. I receive more each month from my pension plan than most working people earn by going to work every day. In addition, I get my check every month (and an extra one at Christmas) if I am sick or well, get up early or sleep in, or if I am home or on vacation. Another benefit of having the pension plan is that I was able to use my entire weekly paycheck to benefit my family while my children were growing up without having to set some of it aside for retirement.

Finally, I doubt if your wife will ever want to retire because it would mean staying at home with you listening to you carry on and talk bull about things that you know nothing about. My wife and I are very glad that she is able to enjoy retirement with me, although she is still almost a decade away from being able to draw her pension from her non-union office job that she had for almost as long as I worked at my union job.

            JJS,
I have been in court now going on two weeks representing some union employees that are about to loose their pension insurance. A top notch company, old company. So don’t go and count all your eggs just yet.
As you know that Washington has backfired on some unions that voted for Obama,”got a better name for him but can’t use it here,” and it is very possible they will lose out on some of their benefits. Hopefully not. Hopefully you won’t either. Don’t ever say never. Seen it happen to many times.
We have got to change the people in Washington before we all end up in the SOUP line. So, be sure to put the ones in Washington now,”OUT.”

Not to honor your rebuttal with a response, but man that was a pathetic shot. Look at the facts before you bring external mythology and put it anywhere near my mouth.
        1. Steel melts at 2500 degrees.
        2. Modern steel girder construction does not suddenly collapse from a couple hours of fire. Fires have raged for days in steel girder skyscrapers without collapse. Name a modern skyscraper that has fallen from a fire. Please.
        3. If the fire was hot enough to melt steel, why are there videos of somebody waving for help in the hole left by the plane in the side of the WTC?
        http://www.apfn.org/apfn/wtc.htm

        • Tinwarble

What planet did you say you from.
First, you don’t have to get metal hot enough to melt to bend.
Second, the construction of the WTC was with an interior skeleton, which made it less sturdy.
Third, aircraft fuel burns at about 1000 degrees C, which is more than hot enough to get steel hot enough to bend.
Forth, when steel gets hot enough to bend it can’t hold up the millions of tons that it was supporting
Fifth, how about you stay off the conspiracy sites, and take a look at Popular Mechanics who did a study of this.
And last, you have no idea of what you are talking about, so I make you this dare, make yourself a steel platform, place the legs in 5 gallon drums of jet fuel, light it on fire, then go stand on top of the platform.
After you get done treating your 3rd degree burns from the platform falling, come talk to me about how fire want melt steel.

          • JJS

You are as right on this point as you are wrong about unions.

          • Kurt F

IF your dare were relevant I might demonstrate it, but since it does not involve an off center heat source, where the plane hit the building (not a platform, but a pendular object of substantial height) well off center, burned briefly and the building did not bend toward the fire, I’ll not waste the thousands of dollars to create a controlled situation that has nothing to do with the reality that happened.

          • libertytrain

Good reply – there have been many many independent studies done on this and proved what happened re the steel and pancake effect from the weakened sections – and yet, there will be those who just want to believe “men didn’t land on the moon” type theories.

          • Kurt F

I’d like to see one such study. The only study I’ve seen involved the testimony of countless witness regarding multiple explosions, and the 100s of engineers that say this could only be a controlled explosion demolition if the tower did not topple over instead of the nearly impossible to create (without controlled explosions) pancake implosion.

        • Joe H.

          Kurt F.
I’m a welder and have two years of metallurgy classes that I passed quite well, so I think I know a little about the workings of metal structure!!! Actually JP4 jet fuel can burn up to 1500 degrees and if you don’t think that will weaken steel to the point of collapse then you better go back to school son!!!

          • Kurt F

REAL SIMPLE PHYSICS. You crash a plane into a building off center, it burns briefly at 1000 degrees. If the steel bends, the building bends toward the fire, not real tidy down the column with puffs of debris shooting out laterally below the falling debris from above. That tidy column falling only inward, not toppling over only happens with controlled explosion demolition.
            THINK PEOPLE!

          • Kurt F

If the WTC steel bent, then the WTC bent, landing 100s if not 1000 feet away (3 football fields). City blocks would have been destroyed. This was a controlled situation, not the chaos of a bending tower.

          • Kurt F

typo for 1000 degrees, 2 different arguments, you had said 1500. Either way, bending steel means bending tower.

          • Joe H.

            Kurt,
no weaken then the weight of many thousands of tons of weight on the structure cause it to collapse!!! JP4 burns like kerosene, not gasoline, it is a high grade of kerosene not gas it burns a longer time at a maintained heat! That is why aircraft burn so violently and fast!!!

          • JJS

            coal miner,

Do you get it? Joe H is a welder who despises unions. Is it any wonder that he has to put his wife to work? He probably also has the kids working to support his sorry ass.

            JJS,
no, unlike you I have worked damn hard for what I have and am retired. Something that if the unions keep on you might not be able to enjoy!!! You might even be working at Micky Ds if too many more companies close down!!!!

          • JJS

            Joe H,

You’re retired and your wife is working? That tells me all I need to know.

I just turned 64 last week, and I, too, am retired from my union job since 2004. My wife, who is several years younger than me, hasn’t turned a tap since about a month before I retired. Had you had a decent job with benefits negotiated as a group instead of going to you boss and begging for a decent wage and benefit package, you too could have the life of Riley like my beautiful wife and I do.

It’s too late for you to correct the mistake that you made years ago when you decided to go scab, but you can still pass some good advice along to your grandchildren – “Live Better, Work Union.” Don’t let them be as foolish as you were and are.

          • Joe H.

            JJS,
I am 59 and been retired for about 5 years now and my wife works because she wants to, I don’t tell her to do anything!!! I do so wish you would come and try!!! I’d love to see her kick your butt all over the state of Ohio!!!! If she wants to quit tomorrow I wouldn’t stop her or if she wants to continue for another 10 or 15 I don’t care either. See she has about twice the education you do and is paid about twice what you did so she gets paid for what she knows not what she strains to do!!!

jjs—My husband has retired, but I am still working by choice. A lot of people I know are doing the same. This does not mean any of us are destitute. I am still working because of my hobby. I know it sounds silly but this is what I choose to do. I can retire any time I want. I will not use the money we have to pay for my hobby. And as long as I can still run, I will continue to do it. The minute I can’t run anymore I will retire. Basically, we all do what we want in life, we make our own choices.

  • http://Daniel Dan Mathis

No pegoratives necessary. Ron Paul has consistently opposed the Irag, and Afghanistan, wars, and VP Cheney has consistently supported it. Disagreement is consistnent with their positions. False facts, though, deserve, correction; The Iraq WMD Commission (REPORT available on the net) clearly proved that – the US (Clinton Admin in 1999, and Bush), Britian, France, including others beleieved that Iraq had a WMD program that was capable of producing weapons – FACT. Please stop rewriting history to suit your views. Bush never lied, the accussers are doing so, instead! Please read Dinesh D’Souza, The Enemy Within – many document facts, useful explanations of left vs right, and a wonderful plan for countering the fanatic left in the culture war.

    • JJS

Bush and Cheney are absolutely liars, no matter that the Clinton administration, Britian, France and others believed that Iraq had a WMD program. Bush and Cheney lied when they said they wanted to invade Iraq because they had WMD. He proved that wasn’t his reason when he continued the invasion after our military determined there were none.

Nobody is rewriting history by saying BUSH AND CHENEY ARE LIARS!

      • American Citizen

Oh, but Sadaam did have WMD, he used it on his own people. And he was trying to go nuclear. Joe Wilson lied.

        • JJS

You are blowing smoke. Saddam HAD WMD at one time; however, the fact that none have been discovered after seven years of occupancy is proof that Saddam didn’t HAVE WMD.

          • cr747

We sure have lost a lot of our Soldiers from road side bombs, and suicide Idiot Muslims. Evidently they had what it would have took to make the WMD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

          • Tinwarble

            JJS,

So you are saying that you were there and know just what Saddam had or didn’t have. Or perhaps you can look down from your perch and see into the sand of the deserts and see what is buried there. If you don’t know, you probably shouldn’t say that you know, or at least say that it is your opinion. Just like I don’t know that Jimmy Hoffa is dead, but it is my opinion that he is and that someone killed him. Hey, wasn’t he a Union guy?

  • denniso

So,even if Iraq had had WMD what right did we have to invade??North Korea actually has WMD,should we invade them…Pakistan, Israel,India,Russia? They all have WMD…invade them??
France was adament against invading Iraq…Cheny manipulated lntell and the media because he personally wanted to depose Saddam…we’ve been in both wars for going on a decade because of Cheny/Bush incompetence in running the wars…more dead, more wasted $$. At least once we were there, couldn’t the fools do it right and get it done and get us the hell out of there?? NO,because their intention was to keep us there indefinitely..how’s that for honesty and integrity from the great Cheny???

    • Joe H.

      denniso,
the difference is thse countries are not in the business of trying to activly take over other countries!!! They don’t, with the possible exception of N. Korea have a grudge to settle with the U.S. Before you start, yes I am in favor of blowing Iran apart if they continue on their present course! We don’t have to go with nukes either, just bunker busters and MOABs to end their run at terror!!!! We already know where the sites are! Ther are probably some of the citizens that are willing to spot them for guided bombs, too!!!

      • Joe H.

Oh and denniso? France was proven to have oil deals with Saddam that’s why they were against the invasion!!! Look it up!!! Even some French Nationals were pi$$ed at their own country for supporting a despot like Saddam!!!

Ron Paul constantly reminds me that most Americans are generally uneducated idiots that got exactly the government they deserve. An awful government.

8 years later, most Americans still have no idea what binLaden demanded, that he is getting what he demanded (George W. Bush and Dick Cheney saw to that by trying to establish permanent basis in Iraq, bases that will stay regardless of what Obama claims), and what Operation Ajax was, or what it’s about, or even why the Middle East might be angry with the United States even after the US helped instigate the Iran/Iraq war that killed millions and decimated the male population of both countries, and helped keep the Taleban in power even when a fledgling democratic movement existed there, and was entirely ignored by Clinton and the original Bush.

Yes, must of us got the government we deserved, and we are all going get it good and hard now.

Poor Ron Paul, he believes the general electorate has the capacity to think or be bothered to do 20 minutes of research on the Internet. Propaganda rules us all, whether we believe the propaganda or not – the ignorant masses chose our either ignorant or corrupt leaders and nothing can be done about it.

And don’t expect the established media to help. Expect it to die.

Kids, Nollidje is GUD….really, if alot of you actually paid close attention, you would know, that the Bush boys are adopted family of the saudi royals, and that bin laden was recruited by bush sr., and trained by us to hurt the russians in afghanistan.people are cheap, expendable, american boys are here to be the muscle of big business. pres.eisenhower stated, emphatically, that america should never, ever elect an oilman to the white house, and by golly, nobody remembered! you cant go on vacation any more alot of you, because gas costs 4 to 5 times what its worth… saudi arabia would sell all the oil we need for 20 bucks a barrel if it werent for the greed of the american oil typhoons.nobodys perfect, but I have been laid off at the railroad every time the pubs are in office, for my whole life. reagan the hero bled social security dry to build star wars, then we at the railroad had to pay double tax to refill the coiffers at social security, which they arent even a part of…the money made on munitions is where its always been at, korea, vietnam now iraqistan; its all about the money boys! case in point; we sent a jumbo jet full of billions in cash to iraq, and half of it mysteriously disappeared within minutes of it landing in baghdad. where did those billions go? ask haliburton, they run everything over there. right, cheneys company stole the money. pay attention, make good choices . if everybody read up before they beat their chest, maybe we could actually have a decent country with a stable economy again. first, get rid of all the greedy pukes….then find out exactly who is backing who… I am so very sick of filthy rich greedy dogs being in charge, because they have raped enough money out of consumers to afford advertising. I think ALL candidates should get equal airtime, from the start to finish. How else can we ever get to decide, if only smug bastards can afford to show their face on tv? damnitman! maybe you should take a close look at the present admin. it seems to me its just as you describe and they have been in power for the last three years, maybe that’s what the problem in d.c. is. and for instance at this present moment your grand and glorious leader is getting ready to send a plane load of cash to detroit on the carribean and i’m sure that is for humane reasons!! and as for the price of gas, check out the commodities market, maybe thats the reason gas is closing in on 4.00 pg then when you check that out see who the big boys who are playing the futures market and i’m sure they are all conservatives like unions, pers and teachers unions, george soros and other poor working people. big oil companies should be right down your alley, the congress has allowed them to merge and guess what!! isn’t that the way unions operate.

And no the Union Leaders may not be under the desk, that just because they are on the back side of the American people giving them the shaft. Perhaps we should take a count on how many Union run industries are no longer in business or have been shipped overseas, how much has the Union helped, as they demand so much businesses have to close their doors. And let not all forget this:

It all boils down to this–the Chinese and Japanese have made a fortune off America and the American people. Americans have become the losers in this fiasco. Who is to blame? Our government and the politicians? Unions? The American people? I think all of the above is to blame. Now to try to “fix” the problem. Any ideas? I don’t have any concrete answers.

Dick Cheney was privy to the intelligence coming into the White House every day. He knows what is going on in the Middle East with those dictators in power.

When the Berlin Wall fell and Russia was no longer the power it had been, I said then the next problem would be the Middle East. I was hoping it would get better, but it didn’t. After 9/11, we had to take action. We didn’t have any other cheeks to turn.

I did not vote for Obama and I personally believe he is not qualified to hold the office of the President according to the US Constitution, but Obama did not inherit the problems he has from the Bush Administration.

If the American people would educate themselves about the past 100 years of politics they would soon realize that all this was destined to come to a head by bankrupting the United States. The News Media is bought and paid for and the American People only get what certain powers want them to know.

Illegal FED. The wise Men who run the United States from behind the scenes, and the fact they have promoted Socialism as well as set the course for war and conflict for a purpose. One World Government, New World Order.

Our problems started with the last Congress President Bush had to deal with. It was a Democrat Congress. They have been in power for 3 years now. What is happening now is Obama and the current Democrat Congress’s doing.

Ron Paul is not qualified to judge Dick Cheney. I am. I have researched Mr. Cheney and Mr. Obama. Mr. Cheney is the greatest Vice President this nation has ever had. He has integrity and intelligence. He is speaking because he loves this country, just as those of us who take the time to speak up here.

Mr. Obama is collapsing our economy deliberately. He’s following an article his father wrote in the East African Journal on African Socialism in 1965. His father worked for the government of Kenya and was an economist. This President has specific goals that are not in our best interests. His actions are unconstitutional and warrant an investigation to determine that he has abused his powers of the Presidency. He is deliberately trying to anger all groups of people, in order to achieve one of his goals. Don’t fall into his trap. I’m going to the polls this year to help bring honest people into Congress. Some Democrats who are doing his bidding are as guilty as Obama.

Thank you, Dick Cheney, for speaking your opinion. I will not give up my Freedom of Speech. Why should anyone expect you to give up your rights? You know even more than we do.

the people who are trashing dick cheney are the one’s responsible for this complete failure in the white house and they are trying their best to divert attention from him. cheney is no longer vp (too bad) so lets get off the defense and start our offense. obumbo and company are in the final stage of passing this hc bill and when they do don’t blame the demos, we know what they are, blame the weak kneed republicans that lost the house three years ago. next november, hopefully, people will vote these socialist out of the congress and we can get new people in and change the course back to the republic it should be. we have to remove the kenyan from the white house and if we can move enough people its possible he can be removed by a vote of no confidence. the democrats will never remove him regadless of what he does, they think too much like him.

      • JJS

“If we can move enough people its possible he can be removed by a vote of no confidence.” Did you really write that? What were thinking with?(Sentence removed for offensive content)

There is no way in the world that a president can be removed by a vote of no confidence. That’s the dumbest remark on this blog, but I am not surprised to see your stupid comment because this blog proves that many of the people in the country don’t have their facts straight, only distorted opinions that they represent as facts. hey i made a mistake in my phrasing, i meant to refer to impeachment, getting enough people in the congress to impeach this idiot you call your president. by the way you bragging about your life as a union worker and all the good pension and healthcare you received when retiring! guess what, i was self employed and always paid my employees more than union scale, in fact i wouldn’t hire anyone connected with a union, most union workers had what we call the “mill drag” they couldn’t get one foot ahead of the other. so consider yourself lucky you would never had made it working for me. over thirty years as a non union company and anyone who started talking about unionizing got sent down the road.

          • JJS

You have made lots of mistakes, the biggest being your ignorance about and prejudice toward labor unions. I don’t know what business you were in, but I’ll bet you belonged to business and/or trade organizations. If you didn’t, you are even dumber than I thought because they offer several benefits to their members. How can the employer belonging to a union of employers not want their employees to belong to an employees union? The only answers are selfishness and greed.

I don’t know anything about “mill drag,” but what I do know is that union construction workers are more efficient that their non-union counterparts and are far better skilled craftsmen. According to a three-year study of 1,185 projects in the United States and Europe conducted by Independent Project Analysis, union construction workers in the United States are almost 17 percent more productive than workers in nonunion projects. If you don’t believe IPA, ask any construction management firm.

No matter your business, I would have worked circles around your best two or three men with one hand tied behind my back because employers like you don’t know how to treat a good hand. Anyone worth their salt would be down the road the first time you opened your mouth.

By the way, Obama is your president, too. I didn’t vote for him, but I accept the will of the majority of voters who did. That is what America is all about, isn’t it?

      Claire,
I haven’t heard it but I doubt it is true. The whole reason he signed that amendment to HR 12425 was to try to get Bush and Cheney tried for war crimes! He better be careful though that could backfire on him as then people in congress wouldn’t be so hesitant to try him for unconstitutional behavior!!!

      • Claire

Joe H —Thanks for the reply. It seems I heard this over TV news awhile back but apparently I didn’t pay enough attention because I couldn’t remember what it was all about. I think a lot of things have backfired. These are crucial times, and I am trying to make sense out of everything that has happened, but with no success. I have always worried about new administrations, and for the first time in my life, I am really apprehensive about what is going on. I hate to be doom and gloom but we are heading for disaster, and fast. I will no longer be tied to any “certain” party. I just hope and pray good decent people will run for office. I know numerous people that will simply vote for a certain party even though they do not care for the candidate. I have been guilty of that myself. A third party only makes votes for the other parties. BTW, I have a feeling Brown will win his election in Massachusetts.

I wouldn’t have got what I got today. My daughter and one son have college educations. My daughter teaches highschool math, the yougest boy can enrole any time.He said he wants to see the world and he said he would attend later on.I also got a grand daughter who is a premed student.Unions also influence non unions business, they have to give their employees a decent wages or lose them.Joe said in a earlier blog that a friend of his got hurt.He was told by his boss to climb to the top of the ladder. This was at Wal-mart.If he had a union he wouldn’t be in that dangerous situation where his boss put him.If unions were to collasped, wages would start coming tumbling down and there would be no benefits for union or non-union.These business would start to eliminate people’s rights and they could work people long hours and low starvation wages.Yes Clarie, you and Joe owe alot to organize labor. We had laws passed to prtect your rights also not too long ago kiddy labor and sweat shops.Lets don’t get in that predictment again.JJS you right and we need to keep labor unions strong.Have nice day

    • Claire

Coal miner—I will admit there has been good in some of the unions. I also think some unions became too greedy and some businesses folded and went overseas. Some have done more harm than good, like some people. Some are “crooked” like some people. Yes, I have always been a firm believer in purchasing products “Made in the USA.” My husband feels the same way. We have been this way for years and years, right or wrong, we will not change. I watch the food I buy, the clothes and anything else. We buy cars with an American name. I know they have parts made in other countries, but somehow by doing all of this, it makes me feel better. I know it probably sounds stupid to some people but this is the way my husband and I am.

      • JJS

Unions NEGOTIATE wages, benefits and working conditions with employers for their members. Never have the union negotiators held a club or gun to the head of the employers to force them to agree to anything. After both sides come to a meeting of the minds, the union members vote to accept or reject the proposed agreement.

After agreeing to the terms of the negotiations, if the employer folded, it wasn’t the fault of the union. It was because the employer either agreed to terms that it couldn’t comply with or because the business wasn’t properly managed. Employees don’t make business decisions, the employers do. To fault the employees for a company going broke is like blaming your children for your not being able to make the mortgage payment that you committed to.

It’s not the employees, but it’s the employers that choose to move overseas who are “too greedy.” They move because they can go to another country and make a bigger profit by taking advantage of the workers – paying them less, providing them with fewer benefits and by lowering the standard of working conditions.

I, too, make every effort to “Buy American.” My union was a very strong advocate of the members following that motto. There was a sign in the parking lot of the union hall that read, “Parking for American Cars Only.” Those members who drove vehicles made by a foreign company had to pay to park in the parking lot a block down the street. If every American, both union and non-union, followed yours and my lead in buying American made products, our employment situation would greatly improve.

          jjs

more garbage from the union paper or should i say the “peoples daily worker” the unions showed their prowess with the auto industry, putting them under, however, i must admit it took longer than i would have thought.the employers chose to move overseas?? maybe you should review the union contracts along with the taxation. your hero gave the unions a share of gm & chrysler, lets see now, it seems like their in trouble and going in the hole. so is this bad management?? a combination of obama admin & union workers, wow!! what a brain trust.

          • JJS

Since you appear to know it all, you surely know that all the Japanese and most of the European autoworkers are unionized. How do you explain their survival? I’ll tell you how – the difference is MANAGEMENT.

      • coal miner

        Claire,

With out organized labor we would be back to the old sweat shops and kids working in them. When I started to work in the coal mines before we had a union, the youngest employee was only fourteen. It was organized labor that influenced Roosevelt to pass the social security act and set the legal age limit that a person allowed to work.We couldn’t compete with a person who is working for a dollar a day and people who are political prisoners working for nothing. These foreign companies uses unfair trading tactics and also ship contaminated toys laced with toxic metals and Due to deregulations they are cheap and a dangerous health hazard. Unions are not at fault for jobs going over seas, its our greedy industrialist who exploit and make a profit off of unfortunate people’s misery.

        • chuck b

          coal miner

unions can be a necessary evil in some cases and i agree about the coal mines, if there were ever a case for the unions this is it. i strongly supported john lewis. the garment ind. was another, they did good. the unions gathered too much power otherwise and usually destroyed themselves and ended up driving business out of the country. being in business for myself i did my best to treat my employees the way i would like to be and had few problems and would not allow a union shop. those greedy industrialist you speak of are the bread and butter to this nation and most are corporate and owned by stockholders, people like yourself, so look in the mirror and punch your own nose. you may like living in a socialized society.

          • JJS

First, the unions are bad because they run business in the ground. Then, some unions are okay. What next, Chuckie boy, are you gonna sign up? Your foolishness never surprises me.

After making an absolute *ss of yourself with that comment, you next show your ignorance of the way the labor laws work. If your workers voted for union representation, there would be nothing you could do except honor their wishes. If you refused to negotiate in good faith, the NLRB would step in and fine you for every day that you continued that practice. If you fired the workers who voted the union in, you would be fined and ordered to hire them back with back pay. If you closed your business and reopened it in another location and/or under another name, when they were made aware, the NLRB would enforce the fines and back pay from the previous business.

No matter how big and how powerful you think you are, there would have been no escape. You are bigger than the laws of the land.

          • JJS

Another one of your statements that is not just out in left field, but is totally out of the playing field, is that the greedy industrialists “are the bread and butter to this nation.” Small business is the bread and butter of the nation and the greedy industrialists are the one moving the manufacturing overseas.

  • chuck b

jjs, first off the japanese auto makers are looking for a bailout from their gov’t and the unions are demanding more pay hikes and refuse to back off. so another successful business dominated by the auto union.

so smart -ss don’t tell me about labor laws, when i was running my business i was fully aware of the socialist labor laws garnered by the labor unions and will tell you right now they didn’t scare me a bit. if needed to be i would have shut my business down before one union thug stepped on the grounds or if the employees tried to organize.

i told coal miner i agreed with his union and in their case i believe it was necessary and humane. in your case i don’t, if you can’t hold a job without the support of a union then you can’t be a worthy employee. so go back to your people’s daily worker paper and sing happy days are here again obumbo will love you.

    • JJS

You ignoramus! You throw that word “socialist” around like you really know what it means. In a socialist environment, labor laws and labor unions wouldn’t be necessary because the workers would be the owners of the businesses. Would it make sense to have to have a union to protect employees from unscrupulous employers if the employees are the employers? Think about that for a while before you make another asinine reply!

Good for you for thinking you know the labor laws! I would have truly enjoyed organizing your work force like I did so many others who thought they knew the labor laws like you do. The first time that you sent one of my plants down the road for talking union, I would have had you and your knowledge of labor laws before the NLRB so fast your head would still be spinning years later, and you would be on your knees begging me to get off your *ss.

You are thinking with your *ss when you think that the union can protect a worker in the construction industry. Our NEGOTIATED agreement said that the employer was the sole judge of the employee’s ability to perform his assigned job, and the union was the sole judge of the qualifications for membership in the association. In other words, the employer could send the employee down the road if he didn’t like the way he parted his hair, and the union couldn’t do a thing about it.

You, my friend, are a clueless idiot to the tenth power.

      • cr747

I can see faults in a lot of bickering here. Let me try to enlighten you just a little.
Represented some tire manufactures, such as: (“My Secretary said I couldn’t mention their names:”)Anyway there where three plants that had trouble with their unions wanting to strike during harvest season. Some during hunting season etc:
Seems this happen quite often. To make a long story short, the tire manufactures kept meeting with the union leaders,”president etc:” After about four to five years of this, they went out on strike one to many times. Each of these manufactures did not close at the same time,”mind you.” A few years apart. You may be aware of these closings, depending on what part of the country you live in. Eventually two of these tire plants closed. Moved their operations to another facility in another state. Put many people out of work.
So don’t think that this can’t happen at other places with unions. It happens more than you think.
I said that to say this, in some instances unions are not all that great. Now,” mind you,” that back a fee years ago unions were strong, but in, say, the last ten to fifteen years they have left a lot of people without jobs, and yes,” some without pensions and benefits.

I know it doesn’t sound fair, but be careful some of the laws have changed drastically!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        • JJS

The next time you want to add you two cents in the discussion, make it something relevant and half way intelligent please. Your tire company story is not only ridiculous, it is a fabrication filled with opinion and no facts that can be substantiated.

Unions don’t employ people, and unions don’t leave people without jobs. The biggest reason that unions represent fewer people in the workplace today than in the past is that much of the industry that they used to represent has left the country because of the greed of corporate America.

          • cr747

JJS, you know , you are really not up to date on your unions.
Yes two of the three tire plants closed their doors and moved their operations to other states.
So before you let your a$$ overload your mouth,”which you do quite often,” check on some of your well known tire manufactures and see for yourself. You will find that it happen just Like I stated it.
It really don’t give a rats a$$ where someone of your caliber believes it or not. As I said this was a long drawn out process. One of the companies took about two years to come to an agreement with the union.

And as for putting in my two cents, I like one point six million better.

Grow up, listen, and you might learn something. SO TAKE A HIKE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • chuck b

jjs. well for once you were right, small business is the bread and butter of the country, my mistake, now look up and see how many of the small business’s are run by unions
“Union representation in the private sector has dropped from around 30% in 1960 to less than 8% today. The union product doesn’t sell well to the new generation labor force because 21st century employers do a pretty good job of taking care of their workers. I consider unions to be dinosaurs waiting to become extinct. (the small business advocate)

    • JJS

Wrong again? Aren’t you sick of being proven wrong about everything you post? If ignorance is bliss, you must be the happiest person on earth.

Where do you get your information? I think you make up whatever you want to fit whatever bull that you want to spread. In a release date January 28, 2009 the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that in 2008, union members accounted for 12.4 percent of employed wage and salary workers, up from 12.1 percent a year earlier. Check it out at http://www.bls.gov/news.release/union2.nr0.htm.

While you’re mumbling about how well you treated your employees tell me, did they have a defined benefit type pension plan or a defined contribution type? How much did you contribute, and how much did they? How many have a pension that they can draw almost $4,000 a month for as long as they live, and then their wives can draw 50% of that for her lifetime? My guess is that you never paid your scabs that much, which amounts to $25 an hour not including benefits, while they were working. Although most in industry are worth that much and more, very few workers are paid that because their employers are selfish and greedy.

      • cr747

If that’s all you are drawing from your retirement, I would be ashamed to admit it. My Wife could retire now at a much higher rate than that with full benefits for being a CPC. Guess what, She is not UNION either. I guess you learn to make out with what ever you make!!!!!!!!!!

  • chuck b

as usual you are repeating union propaganda. the info i provided was from the small business advocate giving the correct percentage of union workers employed in small business at less than 8% throughout the u.s. i doubt if this counts unionized workers employed by the fed or state since they are not counted as a small business. either way the unions are not growing regardless of what your daily worker may be telling you. so much for all the comrades! this information was reported in 2009.

so do you attend cell meetings and discuss the greedy employers and wave your little red flags and give the iron fist salute, probably so! you think 4000.00 a month is big time pay, probably for day labor operating a scope shovel. do you get that much, probably not.

my employees were contracted out as subcontractors. so see wise guy there’s more ways than one to beat the unions, what they paid their employees was strictly up to them and i didn’t have the problems that go with hiring and firing. . one problem we did have, some of the sub’s got caught using illegal’s, otherwise it works very well.

so why don’t you try to grow up and guit insulting everyone that doesn’t buy your socialist diatribe. have a nice day.

    • JJS

What’s with your lying? First, you shoot your mouth off about how well you paid your employees and bragged that you ran off the ones who talked about a union, and next you say you had subcontractors. What’s the story, dog? You just tell whatever tale that fits whatever stupid remarks you want to make at the time. It’s impossible to have an exchange of ideas with you when you change your story like a chameleon changes its colors. If the truth were known, you were probably a very unscrupulous contractor that went broke more than once and screwed lots of people out of lots of money. That’s typical of braggadocios like you. I’ve seen lots of losers like you who would crawl over their dying sisters to screw their dead mothers come and go in my years.

You exactly fit the meaning of the terms “selfish” and “greedy.” You screwed the people who worked to make your living for you by not doing what scrupulous employers typically do, and that is contribute to their health and welfare. Instead you used subcontractors who exploited illegal aliens and day workers to enrich themselves and you. Not only did you put the shaft to the workers who buttered your bread, you cheated your legitimate competitors who cared for their employees and provided them with health insurance and pensions. You weren’t principled enough to play the game fairly – you had to take advantage of others to feather your bed. Hurray for me(WORDS REMOVED FOR OFFENSIVE CONTENT). That’s the American way ain’t it, chuckie boy?

Yeah, chuckie dumbbell, I believe that $4,000 a month plus health insurance plus survivor’s benefits is a big deal, especially when I don’t have to turn a tap to get it. In two years when I’m eligible to draw social security, my income will increase by more than another 50%, more than the average household income in America with both husband and wife working full time. Without raising a finger! Your so-called employees who entered our country illegally probably didn’t make half that much for working like dogs for 60 or more hours a week. Judging from those like you that I have encountered in my career, it’s my guess that you never made that much in your best year. Notice I used the word “made” instead of “earned” because people like you don’t earn anything, you bleed it from others that you can easily take advantage of.

And there you go, simpleton, using that ‘s’ word that you have no idea the meaning of. It’s funny, but pathetic at the same time, that you have such poor grasp of our spoken and written language. It shows your lack of education.

Finally, I’m surprised that you are insulted by anything that I have written because you appear to be too stupid to recognize an insult.

      • chuck b

you can always tell when a loser is losing it, they start calling names and throwing out insults.
you must be a very gullible person to think i would put my personal information such as what my business was or employee information on a post, that is something fortunately, you will never see. however, i did employ a maid that was illegal, does that help you out.

if you live in low income housing i suppose your 4k would be enough for you to at least eat good, so hang in there for a couple of years, when you get your ss check coming in, maybe you can upgrade a little.

i’m not insulted by your remarks, thats expected from people like you and that shows the level of your intelligence.

        • cr747

chuck b there seems to be some discrepancies in this guy that goes by the JJS brand,”almost like my cattle brand,” I think he’s a little on the “wacky” side. He will be talking about one thing in one reply, and then change his story on the next reply.

He had the audacity to tell me that where I had represented two tire plants that closed was ridiculous, and fabricated. Seems every one else is telling a lie but him…Well I can tell you this, I run into these type people in court each day,and mind you I can tell a lie when I see one. This guy is full of hatred and has low self esteem, and oh yes, he is not telling the truth.

My wife is also a psychologist, and I e-mailed her his comments to read.
She sent them back with a lot of discrepancies

          • cr747

Sorry to stop replying so sudden, but I got called back into the courtroom for a second. My wife found and underlined the discrepancies she had found. There where quite a few.

Hard to mislead a psychologist. They can pick out a jerk 99.9% of the time. She is of great help to me in a lot of my trials.

She also said that when someone like he was got obsessed with name calling, that they where inferior with a lot of hatred towards other people!!!!!!!!!!!!!

          • chuck b

            cr747

unfortunately some people just can’t refrain from trying to put other people down. i always (sometimes i slip) try to write these post like i’m talking to the person face to face and as you know when people are facing each other the name calling doesn’t come out so easy. thanks for your input.

    • coal miner

      Chuckb,

I know you mean well.Have you ever heard of the IWW?It is the fasting growing international union in the world. They said they are hoping the old unions get crush out. They will fill their vacuum. They say they are the first libertarians and they are ultra communistic. It one of them that tried to take lenin out.A woman walk up and shot Lenin, lenin spared the woman not because he was soft hearted, but because he was scared out of his gord,he knew they meant buisness. They are the ones that actually launch the Russian Revolution.Their anger with Lenin was, he broke a lot of promises to them.He taunt them with the famous retort(promises are like pie crust, they are made to be broken). One of his promises to spared the czar and his family. They had no quarrel with his wife and children. They can’t be prosecuted and be crush out;because they operate in cells. They hate all governments, including communist ones.IWW has a special hatred for labor unions, they say they are scabs in the making. It is a historical fact if they had a strong labor union work force in Germany and Russia, lenin or Hitler would never came to power. If you don’t have union protection, even factories can be just as dangerous as the coal mines. These factories owners and the Reagonomic theory came up with a brilliant solution: lay off workers and one worker do the work of three. Then they spread the lie around that the American workers are stupid, lazy and unskilled. No man or woman can do the work of three with out producing shoddy and inferior goods. They tried that in the coal mines, the union put a stop to that in a hurry. You better hope we don’t lose our union base. The Iww revolutionaries are licking their chops. One of them said they can’t wait.Their slogan is the meek will inheirt the earth and poverty will come to an end. They are all over the world. They infilitrate every field, their strongest now are health care workers and coal mines. Here are the people;they say were assassinated or attempted to assassinated:

      1: Archduke of Austria;assassinated
      2: President Willian Mckinley;assassinated
      3:Lenin of Russia;assassination attempt
      4:Franklin Roosevelt;assassination attempt
5:Joe Stalin( he made have been murder?)some said it might have been them.

Check it out on the internet! The IWW is a very dangerous and can be very ruthless force deal with.

      • chuck b

        coal miner

thanks for the info, i’ve never heard of the iww so it will; be something to read up on. there’s lots of bad things going on in the world so nothing surprises me.

        • coal miner

          Chuckb,

It is called (the International Workers of the World).

          • chuck b

there wasn’t much in depth information that i could find, i’ll keep looking. what i did see, it seems they are very progressive and quite ambitious, so it should be watched closely. a lot of unions in the past have been infiltrated by the communist movement, starting back in the 1800′s, but most american workers are not taken in so easily. i remember the s.u.p. and c.i.u. plus the ilu which was headed by harry bridges and the many trials he went thru , if i remember right he was accused of being a communist and i believe he cleared that up, however, i believe unions do have a place in some instance but, when they get too big they overcome there necessity.

  • Curtis

As long as I see ignorance and stupidity in commentary,a good president will never be elected!!!I can’t believe some of the ignorance I see on here. Its true, the dumbing down of America occured long before its been quoted.

  • Greg Jones

    Ron,
Too bad you diminish your otherwise credible
causes, by pulling the Dem argument it’s
all Gearge Bushes fault. (He was the President
of the U.S. before Obama).(Dick Cheney once worked for him).
By being a real numbskull! Way to irratic for high office.

  • nonyabusinessinpa

Dick Chaney should be HUNG UP BY HIS BALLS AND SKINNED ALIVE FOR HIS INVOLVEMENT OF 9/11!! THIS POS WOULD DO THE WORLD MORE GOOD IF HE WERE IN A BODY BAG….. SPEAKING OF THAT, I THOUGHT THIS POS WAS ALMOST THERE?
