Ron Paul Adds Constitutional Law Expert To Campaign Committee

Ron Paul Adds Constitutional Law Expert To Campaign Committee

The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Campaign announced on Tuesday that Constitutional and international law expert Bruce Fein would join the campaign as the senior legal adviser. The addition was described by staffers in a press release as an opportunity to add to the campaign’s intellectual heft in addressing issues regarding “constitutionality, civil liberties and the dangers to national security of an increasingly interventionist foreign policy.”

After graduating from Harvard Law School with honors in 1972, Fein went on to serve as deputy attorney and general counsel to the Federal Communications Commission under President Ronald Reagan, Research Director for Republicans on the Joint Congressional Committee on Covert Arms Sales to Iran, and on the American Bar Association’s Committee on Presidential Signing Statements. Additionally, his career includes stints as a Visiting Fellow for Constitutional Studies at the Heritage Foundation and an adjunct scholar at American Enterprise Institute. Fein has written a weekly column for The Washington Times for more than two decades, in addition to several books.

“I am honored to advance the Republican presidential aspirations of Ron Paul. He is the only candidate in the field who understands and practices the constitutional principles and philosophy of the Founding Fathers that made this nation a government of the people, by the people, for the people,” Fein said in a press release regarding the appointment. “He is the only candidate who knows that limited government and war are antonyms, not synonyms. He is the only candidate who repudiates aimless, endless wars at extravagant expense. And Dr. Paul is the only candidate that recognizes that the glory of a Republic is liberty, not domination.”

In his book Constitutional Peril: The Life and Death Struggle for our Constitution and Democracy, and American Empire Before The Fall, Fein describes damage done to the Constitution by the policies of the Administration of George W. Bush and a lethargic Congress. The Constitutionalist describes the need for strong Presidential leadership and new ideals regarding U.S. foreign policy.

The Ron Paul campaign continues to get its message out using Internet resources and appearing for interviews on radio and television shows throughout the country. A campaign schedule for this weekend, shows Paul returning to Iowa for the first time since his largely ignored second place finish in the Ames Straw Poll.

    RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SEMPER FI

    • Al Sieber

      I second that!!!

      • Bruce

Al, I will say with a resounding YEA for Dr. Ron Paul for POTUS!

I also feel that if Obama is not removed for countless clear acts of Treason before the 2012 election, the damage he can still cause will spell the end of the Constitution & the Bill of Rights as laws of the land so they will be little more than old paper.
We are as of today living in what is called a {Soft Dictatorship,} or as its better know an “IRON FIST in a SILK GLOVE.” Or as my friends like to say we are {living in a prison without bars} at the moment.

        • Dignity

Bruce, you should know these are Ron Paul’s campaign promises. Sheeple tend to believe everything they read. Paul is no different than Obama.

Can Ron Paul or anyone else speak better than Obama?
Can Ron Paul or anyone else make more promises than Obama before he runs? You know the answer, no one can.

Ron Paul and other politicians just make things worse. Obama added more bad laws than any other president before him, and Ron Paul didn’t bother to try and stop him. Why does Ron Paul blame everyone else except himself?

If you want to check Ron Paul’s rhetoric with his voting record, go to http://www.jbs.org and click on voting scores. The scores for all Congressmen on clear cut constitutiional issues are available – from the current Congress and as far back as 1987.

No surprise Ron Paul always votes for a strict adherence to the Constitution. A good number of the 535 rarely vote to uphold the Constitution.

Don’t vote for your Senator or Rep before checking his score.

      Thanks.

Probably, having someone like Fein as a part of Ron Paul’s campaign can’t hurt. I’m amazed that he graduated from Haavid, though. Someone with his beliefs would have stood out like a Founding Father at a British afternoon tea.
Anyway, Ron Paul needs to think hard about getting an ethnic member for a running mate. Please remember that America’s ‘Demroids’ don’t OWN ethnic groups – or do they? That would open a nasty can of worms with most people, but then ‘Demroids’ rarely are forced to have to re-think or explain or defend anything, and I sure wouldn’t want them to have to justify such an obvious documented case of social INJUSTICE- especially with another election on the horizon.

    • crystal

      Haavid? LOL. Good one.

    • DaveH

      Ron Paul isn’t racist, SC.

  • 4-just_us

Ron Paul is by far the best candidate. I like the way he talks
about the issues instead of lambasting his opponents. Our
government is getting so corrupt and our legislators are
shirking their duties so I’m hoping Ron Paul gets the presidency
and can fix our broken Government.

    • crystal

He definitely made a few attacks the evening of the Debate. I disagree with him on social issues like marriage. He seemed to be naive about polygamist waiting in the shadows for marriage to be redefined. He didn’t know about present day push for polygamy (slavery for women) legislation. Coming from a black community, I see how damaging this is already. Read “Black Man’s Guide To Understanding The Black Woman” by Shaharizad Ali. There’s a large percentage of Black men in this country who are members of different Muslim sects.

Also, I disagree with him when he got with the lowest of Democrats to introduce the legalization marijuana to the house…

…but if he is the nominee, he’s got my vote 100%. I can’t stand another four (4) years of Obama.

      • DaveH

Ron Paul is far from Naive, Crystal. He doesn’t mix his personal beliefs with his politics. He disagrees with Abortion, but doesn’t think the Federal Government has a Constitutional power to be involved in that decision. The same goes for marriage issues. He just believes in Freedom. Freedom doesn’t mean “as long as you or I approve”.
For those people who want to judge Ron Paul on his actual agenda, not that distorted version that the MSM promotes:
        http://www.ronpaul2012.com/the-issues/

        • crystal

This is what I’m talking about. He doesn’t believe in abortion, but doesn’t feel his beliefs should make that decision. The problem with this is that the decision is being made by only 1/3 of the quotient. The legislation disallows the father any say in the death of his child. The legislation ignores the horrific murder of the unborn. This is coming from someone who use to be pro-abortion all the way until I actually saw a film on the abortion process. It shows exactly what the fetus goes through. This is the part that is kept out of the public viewing. These are real people being murdered. If you can catch the film, watch it.

        • crystal

Yes DaveH, I did watch the debates and I totally disagree with his definition of the First Amendment. When SB 48 was passed, where are the rights of parents? Can you answer that? I hope you come back to this board on this subject.

Parents are not allowed to opt their children out of LGBT teaching. That is the new law here in California. When Obama’s czar passed out fisting kits to people’s kids in school, where are the parent’s rights. Why are the parent’s rights being taken away by the LGBT community?

Yeah, in my opinion he’s really naive. You can’t take away one’s rights to give rights to another.

Ron Paul at October 2010 Tea Party Convention:

        • crystal

Thanks for the websites DaveH. I pretty much go by what I see coming out of his mouth. As far as marriage is concerned, (as you’ve stated about our approval) I stand strong against re-defining marriage to force the approval of many. When SB 48 (California) legislates forced homosexual teachings to our children in school and locks in that parents are not allowed to opt out of it, then I disagree with Ron Paul. I do know that he is very much in favor of state’s rights, but when it comes to states like California who are financially irresponsible due to their liberal politics — where will he draw the line. This state honestly believes the Federal Government should bail it out while it still overplays it’s hand on the entitlement cards. Where does Ron Paul stand on silly states?

          • DaveH

That’s all the more reason you should support Ron Paul. He is the only one of the viable Republican candidates who would push for the Government to get out of Education Choice. Rather than butting your head with the Liberals’ heads, you could be sending your child to the private school of your choice.
And notice, Crystal, I didn’t say School Choice, which doesn’t really mean much if the Government gets to dictate curriculum. See here to learn what I mean:
            http://www.cato.org/pub_display.php?pub_id=13078

          • DaveH

And, Crystal, when you say “Where does Ron Paul stand on silly states?”, he doesn’t. He’s running for President of the Federal Government, and being a strict Constitutionalist, he knows that the Federal Government doesn’t have those powers. If you want Freedom on the State Level, then you need to start looking into the Libertarian Party. Find your local Libertarian candidates and support them. They are the only ones who are going to work to shrink Government and give the citizens back their Freedom.

Paul and Fein would be an excellent match.Could it be the hope we have been looking for?

Get your facts straight, Paul is trying to correct the situtation, because people discovered his spokeswoman is RACHEL MILLS who is accepted and becomes an elite government agent. Her code named is “Building 26″.

Paul’s spokeswoman Rachel Mills confirmed to The Daily Caller via email that Paul shares Kucinich’s point of view on the severity of the constitutional breach. “Yes, he thinks it is an impeachable offense,” Mills wrote.

    *** Paul’s spokeswoman Rachel Mills:

Discharged from the USMC, Rachel uses her background as a decorated combat veteran to apply to join what she believes to be an elite security organization, but, after a thorough interview regarding her past experiences with people with abilities, Rachel discovers it to be actually a secret task force agency set up by the Department of Homeland Security – code-named “BUILDING 26″, at the behest of Senator Nathan Petrelli, to hunt down and imprison people with powers. Rachel is accepted and becomes an elite government agent.

Initially Rachel is still hostile to her fellow kind and is only complying with “Rebel”‘s demands for her own well-being, but with time she sees her fellow agents actions are too extreme and also that the special people are being un-fairly prosecuted, and so willingly joins their spreading resistance to Building 26. This ultimately leads to Rachel being forced to kill her partner, Agent Jason Pierce, when he discovers her ability.

When her role in Jason’s death is exposed, she is exiled from the agency and eventually captured along with several other rebels. Assigned to kill a resistance member named “Linda Niles”, Rachel refuses when she recognizes the woman to be Leona Mills; her mother. Leona, however, fakes her death in an extremely convincing manner then and there, and is able to slip away while Rachel is forced to battle Janey Pierce – Jason’s sister and an Army intelligence officer. After a vicious fight, Rachel defeats Pierce.

Paul did not stop or defunded the American military intervention in Libya, and business as usual:

“The President committed the U.S. to military invention without consulting Congress, in clear subversion of Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution, which gives only Congress the power to declare war,”

Ron Paul is becoming the little engine that can. God bless Ron Paul

  • Bob from SoCal

Ron is definitely gaining steam. I hope he makes it. Just pray that the Globalists don’t kill him if he does.
Did anyone else read about Obama’s citizenship case finally maiking it to the Supreme Court. It all very hush hush. Check it out on Infowars.com

    • big wyo

Would love to have the BC issue before the USSC but I have been checking all over the net and the only thing I have found is Clarence Thomas stating they will not be going there. IT NEEDS TO HAPPEN but without a lot more outrage from entire country it wont.

  • Mike

Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate that matters.

Bachmann is good on spending but she’s a neo-con warmonger when it comes to foreign policy, how can she truly pay down the deficit while sustaining multiple wars and creating new ones? Not possible.

Rick Perry is in Al Gore’s back pocket, he’s a phony just like Romney and McCain. Just another RINO.

    • DaveH

And Michele voted for the Patriot Act extension.

  • http://PLD FRENCHIE

I WONDER HOW MANY OTHER REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES HAVE CONSTITUTIONAL LAW EXPERTS ? OH YEAH, THE ANSWER IS – NONE !!! THE REST OF THEM ARE NOT NEARLY AS CONCERNED WITH THE CONSTITUTION BEING UPHELD AS TO HIRE SOMEBODY WITH EXPERTISE IN THE FIELD. THIS SHOULD SERVE AS A WAKE UP CALL RIGHT HERE. OF COURSE, NOW THEY PROBABLY WILL. HELL, THEY’VE STOLEN JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING ELSE RON PAUL SAYS AND/OR DOES, SO WHY NOT ? JUST REMEMBER WHO THE FIRST(AND POSSIBLY,ONLY ONE) TO BE CONCERNED ENOUGH ABOUT IT WAS. THE “ESTABLISHMENT” RINO’S WILL CATCH ON & CLAIM IT FOR THEMSELVES & TRY TO RIDE IT ALL THE WAY TO THE WHITE HOUSE. PROBLEM FOR THEM IS, WE’VE GOTTEN ALOT WISER ABOUT WHO WE WANT FOR PRESIDENT. WE’RE DONE WITH RINO’S LIKE ROMNEY & PERRY, & “RELIGIOUS RIGHT” WACK-JOBS LIKE BACHMANN. THE REST DON’T EVEN MERIT MENTION, AS FAR AS I’M CONCERNED. YOU CAN TELL ALOT ABOUT A CANDIDATE BY WHO HE HAS WORKING FOR HIM/HER & RON PAUL JUST KNOCKED IT OUTTA THE PARK ON THIS ONE !!! NOW THE “ESTABLISHMENT” HAS EVEN MORE REASON TO FEAR RON PAUL AS HE’S JUST PROVEN HE’S HELL-BENT ON FOLLOWING THE CONSTITUTION TO THE LETTER. I’M LOVIN’ THIS !!! R3VOLUTION, BABY !!! RON PAUL 2012 !!!!!

If i could remove your useless brain ( lack of ), but your base is that of a very evil man oblama…

You need to get out once in a while… Being stupid and dumb is exactly what they want you to do…

  • Xenon

We should all remember that our presidents do not rule in a vacuum or are the sole determiners of political decisions. People seem to forget that no one gets to be president without powerful people and money behind them. If Paul is elected, he will have to deal with ReThugs and DemocRATS that are in the pockets of big business. If he is elected, don’t bet on him turning everything around. Be prepared to be disappointed. Political speeches come easily, governing does not. Too often, too much faith is put into a candidate’s abilities. People tend to make their choices into heroic supermen. All politicians were groomed in a system that is corrupt and wrong-headed.
Dwelling in the toxic atmosphere of politics, all participants become tainted. They are all just fallible human beings.
