It is very sad when people use hyperbolic language to make an argument and try and delegitimize those they disagree with. Which is why it is disappointing that Mr. Bill committed hypocrisy by doing just that to the people he satirizes for calling anyone who believes the things he mentioned a right wing extremist. He pits the blame for this not on extremists but on liberals in general or the liberal left as he puts it. Problem is I am someone on the left and I am a liberal. However I sincerely believe and or fit into at least 70% of the things Mr. Bill said. So my being a liberal has no bearing on how I view the things he mentioned. My least favorite part was when Mr. Bill said “Name calling is about the only weapon the left has”. Mr. Bill did not seem to notice the hypocrisy of accusing someone of name calling while simultaneously generalizing about all those on the left by simply saying the left. The left is not a party or organization. It does not have a strict set of policies that all those subscribing to the ideology must abide by. It is the same for the right. Every person whether right or left has their own particular views on any number of topics. Someone who on practically every issue takes a stance that is considered right leaning may have one or two issues on which their stance is more left leaning. My point is the label of an ideology does not define a person. Unfortunately when you use such labels you are disparaging all those who’s ideals fall even remotely into that ideological umbrella. I do not deny I am on the left and I am calling Mr. Bill a hypocrite. So I am on the left and I am name calling. However I will point out that there is evidence to back up what I say and unlike Mr. Bill I am not generalizing about whatever ideology he follows. I just believe it is hypocritical to satirize the practice of generalizing those you disagree with while at the same time generalizing about those you disagree with. So Mr. Bill you are not a right wing extremist if you believe in those things. At least I hope you are not. Because as I said I believe in quite a few of those things. Yet I have been called a leftist extremist on this website numerous times. So if believing in these things makes one a right wing extremist then I am the first person who is able to be both a left wing and right wing extremist at the same time. Oh my goodness Dave was right I do have multiple personalities. Or I am just a complex individual who is not defined by a specific ideology and holds a variety of opinions on a variety of issues. Either way there is clearly something wrong with me.

no , Jeremy ,your just a DRONE . Alinsky would be proud . . .

      • Jeremy Leochner

Are you sure Jim. I have never known of drones that have a variety of opinions and beliefs. Drones tend to be more robotic and keep to a particular dogma or ideology.

I just found out that i’m a right wing extremeist. What a Christmas present! I am a Viet-Nam vet, and am sickened by the way this country is being run. There are so many people in the Gov’t who don’t rrealize you don’t have to fire a shot to ruin a country. All you have to do is what Obama and the democratic senate are doing, ruin it economically.
