Restore Your Passion For Life

December 2, 2010 by

Restore Your Passion For Life

Did you know your level of sexual passion is related to your passion for life in general? Just consider it for a moment. How much happiness do you experience with your family, your friends, your work or your hobbies? How much passion do you feel for your spouse outside your sex life? Because, let’s face it, if you’re not finding passion together in the simple things such as fixing a meal, going for a walk or even sharing things about your day, it’s only natural that you’ll also find it lacking in the bedroom.

Passion For Life
On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest), rank your passion for life in general. If your score is low, you might be experiencing fear, frustration, feelings of lack or boredom. You might even be depressed. Sometimes mild or even pervasive feelings of sadness, gloom and despair can come out of nowhere and affect men and women very differently. Let’s consider both.

Men Without Passion
Men often don’t want to express their feelings of worry or sadness — even to their wives or family. In the American culture, men are expected to be the emotionless, strong, silent types, like John Wayne, who can handle anything. But in reality, roughly 6 million American men are diagnosed with depression each year, and millions more suffer in silence.

A large number of depressed men fall into the “tough guy” category. A “tough guy” is often unaware of his depression and minimizes his feelings as stress. But if you pay attention to a tough guy’s non-verbal behavior, you’ll see subtle evidence of stress, unhappiness or discontent. In the face of unrecognized depression, families are disrupted, careers are ruined and marriages destroyed. This is the legacy of our cultural expectations of men.

Women Without Passion
Statistics show that more women are diagnosed with depression than men. The reason? Women are very willing to verbalize their emotions and seek out help from a licensed professional, family members or friends.

Hormonal problems can cause depression in women. However, the biggest cause of clinical depression in women is a feeling they are not loved and unconditionally accepted — especially by the significant men in their lives (husband, father, brothers, etc.) Until a woman feels cared about, supported and beautiful, she won’t open her heart. A loving husband can help her regain self-esteem, and through effective communication, a couple can heal their relationship. Communication can also boost their passion for life, and with it, their sexual desire.

But remember the first rule of intimacy… non-sexual love first.

Many couples are very romantic, whether they have consistently great sex or not. These couples understand non-sexual intimacy. How can intimacy be non-sexual?

Intimacy is not just about sexual gratification. Intimacy occurs when two people step off their mental judgments about one another and focus on their feelings for one another. If you focus on “non-sexual love” first, you’ve taken your first step towards sexual intimacy.

And the second rule of intimacy is to activate your biggest sexual organ… your brain.

Believe it or not, your brain is your biggest sexual organ. Your thoughts and feelings can dramatically impact your enjoyment of sexual intimacy. This right frame of mind is essential to wonderful lovemaking. But if you haven’t been intimate for a while, getting in the right frame of mind is like cranking a car that’s been sitting for several months. Your hormones won’t kick in right away. However, there are ways to get them going:

  • Fantasize. See yourself having the greatest sexual encounter you can possibly imagine. This is a great way to “fire up” your body.
  • Release negative feelings. Let go of worries, stress and anger to focus on the “now” moment.
  • Awaken your senses. Your sex drive responds to sounds, scents and even sights. Try music, candles, fragrant body oils… be creative!

Poor Nutrition Can Cause A Lack Of Passion
Your passion for life, including your sex life, is directly influenced by nutrition. So what foods should you eliminate to ramp up your passion?

Begin by eliminating refined sugar. It also helps to avoid caffeine and alcohol in excess. Identify food allergies with elimination diets, then refrain from eating those foods for several months to allow your immune system to reset itself.

Fatigue can zap your passion and your sex life. What causes this bone-numbing lethargy? It could be low or high thyroid levels, low cortisol, low human growth hormone, low testosterone, low progesterone, low DHEA or low blood count.

However, it’s important to consider the effects of prescription medicines, especially drugs that are antihypertensives or antidepressants. Loss of sexual desire is a well-known side effect of those drugs.

It’s possible to get off these fatigue-causing prescription drugs and get your sex life back by committing to a lifestyle of true health. You should eat vegetables — raw or as close to raw as possible — and eliminate processed foods and sugars from your diet.

But what if you’re eating right and feeling energetic but still are still having trouble with your sexual intimacy?

Natural Herbs Can Spark Your Sex Life
Prescription drugs like Viagra®, Cialis® or Levitra® can be expensive and have dangerous or even lethal side effects. For this reason, if you absolutely need them, consider some natural sexual enhancers instead.

According to the 2005 edition of Consumer Health Digest, the top-ranked natural sex-enhancers for women are Fematril™, Exotica™, Passion Rx™, Erostat™ and Vimaca™. These herbal combinations are considered to be extremely safe, affordable and effective, and often contain natural herbs like damiana leaf, epimedium, black cohosh root, isoflavones, valerian root, ginger root, gingko biloba, bayberry fruit, licorice root, capsicum pepper and red raspberry leaf.

Natural libido-enhancing products for men are aimed at increasing genital blood flow. As reported in the 2005 version of the Consumer Health Digest, the top-ranked sex enhancers for men, based on effectiveness, safety and price, are Enzyte™, SizePro™, PROSolution™, VigRX™ and Libidus™.

These natural alternatives can do some good, and I’m not opposed to you trying them. But please don’t depend on them any longer than you need to.

Summary
Regardless of your age, you deserve to be happy, so it’s important to restore your passion for life. Once you feel passion again, you can experience increased joy in your intimate relationship and reignite the flames of your sexual desire.

As the picture describes, once society has failed, personal teeth cleaning will become a one on one endeavor. Dental hygiene, when performed in this manner will be mutually beneficial to the participants. Improvised adaptations such as this will be critical if we are to survive the coming Obama depression.

    • JRC

Lol, thank you I needed the laugh….especially after reading nonsense like that

  • JRC

Another advertising that poses as a legitimate article….I guess this is the written form of an infomercial.

  • BABUSHSKA

Release negative feelings to get your hormones going???? You’ve got to be kidding! Who can do that unless they’ve been living under a rock the last two years. The only thing that will get things revv’d up again in bedrooms across America is to get BHO out of the White House asap!

  • FreedomFighter

Fantasize hosing the far left daily, very invigorating.

    then

Release your negative feelings toward the massive debt they accumulated, the attempted take over of America, and the sickening push toward socialism that marks us with the troubles we have today.

Awaken yourself to the fact the far left has destroyed America so well our children may not even retain freedom.

Sounds like your going to get lucky tonight!

  • Polski

You know, outside of the humor, some of these responses are ridiculous. Unless you’ve lost your freedom, if you can’t have great intimacy, worrying about Obama or the Republicans is just BS as a reason. I do love reading all these comments. It makes you wonder even more about the people in this part of the world.

    • FreedomFighter

      Ahh…passion.

Polski come live in America, it will all maybe make sense, maybe not.

    • Michael J.

      Polski,
Yes, come discover America, it will mark the greatest Polish invention since the Jetski.

  • Guido

So what do we as men do with feelings that are not safe to express. We project them on to the other and then attack this other as being everything that we are not. Bush served this purpose for those who identify with the left and now Obama serves this purpose for those on the right. After we have exhausted ourselves trying to get the world to conform to our beliefs we might want to examine those beliefs to see which ones actually serve us. Afterall, most of our beliefs are unconscious and result from how people have treated us. I am beginning to realize that my freedom does not depend on what anybody else is doing but on my understanding of who I am and what beliefs I use to make sense of reality. When we don’t understand how our beliefs trigger reactions to events then we lose our freedom to choose and become quite literally narrow-minded.

    • Bob Wire

A thoughtful post and impressive read Guido.

and you are correct, it’s more about perception, what is being perceived.

As even Janice Joplin wrote,”Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose”.

As it’s truly then that anyone is “Free”

We enslave ourselves with what we have, own and think. We build our own prisons.

I know this will be viewed as an abstract to many that read such words.

But in fact, they too think in the abstract when speaking to matters of freedom.

The only difference is they have accepted theirs and wish to discount mine.

Who what’s to be in the position of having nothing left to lose?
No one that I have ever known of.

Life is like a monkey trap, ~ Place something inside the trap that is seen as shiny and desired with just enough room to allow the monkey to stick his hands through the trap and grab the prize. Once a firm grasp of the desired object is made the monkey refuses to let it go even though he can’t remove the prize though the traps openings.

We are all trapped monkeys at any given point in life, refusing to let go or give up ground.

We can talk politics all day and how bad “W” was or “O” is and how our freedom or God is under attack.

But the truth of it is, life is much to do with how you personally are reacting to it and less to do with everyone that’s around you.

Some men go to prison and find gangs and others find Jesus.

This political tenor is a neurosis, a mental neurosis, a mental masturbation that leads and direct minds, permitting the halls of government to hold dominance and have dominion by consensus of the people.

That’s all there is to it if you are looking at it from a great distance with some kind of objective mind.

Government wants your support, cooperation and your money and for you to give it over freely.

      • Bruce D.

Two good posts. I believe as I would think most do that you have to be happy within your own person first and foremost. Politics is a responsibility of the citizens. It is also an interesting look into mans nature. Those who promote dependancy and redistribution for solutions and those who promote independance from government and self determination as the solution. One thing is for certain. A free people cannot stay free for long if dependant on government for their solutions. Also Janis Joplin proved her own self wrong. There was something else to lose and that was her own life. Those who try to find solutions in drugs need to take responsibility for their own life and not try to cover up their problems by blaming others and using drugs. As for sex I think you can think all the happy thoughs you want and you are still left with wishful thinking. It is more important to realize that as you get older certain nutrients become depleted in the body and need to be added to your food intake.

        • Christin

Yes, and your post is good as well.

        • Bob Wire

          yes, another great post.

As far as Janice, she knew and was ready to go ~ accounting for her profound wisdom. I say this as I dated her for some 6 months and knew her rather well. The truth being, she never held on too tight to anything by the time I met her, and I viewed her as a spirit star child that was not to be captured or contained.

Kris Kristofferson WROTE “Me and Bobby McGee”. Kris is Clintons buddy, they were both Rhodes scholars at Cambridge where he met Rodham when Slick Willie was protesting vs. USA

What the hell is going on here with these stupid comments??? You’re commenting on an article about SEX LIFE not politics!!!

  • BABUSHSKA

    Polski:
We ARE losing our freedoms day by day. Witness the TSA fiasco where Americans are willing to give up their freedom of unlawful searches to feel safe. The public is being duped and lured into a false sense of security. Remember Benjamin Franklin’s quote, “Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither or lose both.” We need a citizen revolution to take back this country from the hands of the anti-imperialist BHO!!!

    • Bruce D.

I feel that what is happening with airport security is an assault on liberty. You are guilty until proven innocent and overall jusy gives government too much power. I will not fly anymore unless absolutely necessary. If people cut back on their flying maybe it would send a message, maybe it wouldn’t.

    • Christin

You are right, Babushka, but your comments are stressors and making our sex drives go down, :)

We can thank the Now organization for [Offensive comment removed] males and also masculizing females. Now the normalization of abhorant behavior of [Offensive comment removed.] in society as a norm, no wonder everyone is confused. Over the decades socialist have pushed for government total government control over everything including what ou eat and think and say. People, no matter color or creed are supposed to be indepent, self suffient, and productive. Not a class of leeches andelitist who have their hands in the productive one wealth. With the pedophile worshipping ideology tools being protrayed as a peaceful bunch of stoneage rug rompers, goat and female abusers all are idoits. No matter who just thinks understanding and love will make it beautiful to be around these maggots, are morons.

    i41, how right you are!

Have a passion for God, our creator, and you will learn how easy it is to find passion in every walk of life. There is an old book, written more than three thousand years ago, and most of what they wrote was about passion for living and it is truly very simple: You were given special gifts, talents, and the power to become all that you were meant to be. It’s what made America the strongst nation in the world.! Learn to listen to those who have lived longer than you, be wise in any venture you make by seeking devine quidance and from those who are experienced. Give to those who have less than you and never mind your checking account or wealth. Just give without question to those who protect us from our enemy, our local ploice agencies, the military, firemen, etc. Forget the liberal college professors and their big egos, misinformed media and reporters.. The enemy, who is greedy, selfish, minipulative, arrogant, disobedient, jealous, and demanding is not interested in your potentials, only in themselves. Name one politician or president who donated his wealth to our government. The Clintons did not have much when they discovered there were a lot of fools to fool; they became very wealthy. How much have they donated back to help pay the natonal debt? Do you want Hillary for President? Think twice, you foolish people!! Why should we pay for protection of presidents.?

Seek peace within yourself before you venture to believe that others have smilar thinking. Passion to be right is good as long as it is not from a selfish motive. I know, I have lived through all of this and I have passion to keep on giving and helping others but certainly not as the government gives,(it takes away from you), but giving with gratitude and expecting nothing in return except, respect, and helping those, to whom you give, regain a degree of their dignity.

Expend your giving with joy, knowing others will experience the same and share the moment with them when they expeirence it too, the joy of giving with genuine love. Take the pleasure of watching that love grow, and grow with the same passion that you continue to give. Stop thinking government is passtionate to see you grow and become all that you were meant to be. That will never happen.

Take flight with wings to fly to all directions the winds take you, but do it with passion for God, our creator. It will brighten the community of helping each other in intimate fashion.

I have expressed my thoughts on passion. Read the above.

Having a passionate spirit is simply devine…..we are blessed with many gifts but so often, we let fear, anger and doubt enter into our private world. The best thing that happened to me was not being rehired; and although the school principal had given me glowing evaluations.! He considered me a threat. He wanted me to lie for him and I would not do it. I challenged him, so out I went. I said to myself, “Thank you,God.” Where do I go from here?. I went to where I never thought I could go: politics and got listed in “Whose Who in American Politics”, organized two banks, one more succcessful than the other, and two corporations; contributed to a book, kept doing substitute teaching, especially in the barrios, managed a small business I owned, and did the TV circuit appearances when working with a U.S. Senator to pass a proposition in my state regarding English as the official language in the U.S., radio talk shows to explain what was going on with the bi-lingual education programs and illegals in our state, (predicted the chaos we now have),and charitale work. I raised three children with my husband who traveled a lot. So you see..you never know what you can come to do when you seek devine guidance. Oh,yes! I forgave the principal in my heart and 11 years later, at our country club, I cornered him and told said.”God, you, others and I, know that you lied under oath”, I had challenged him in court. He asked, with tears in his eyes, for forgiveness.

I worked with my Assembyman and State Senator to improve evaluation procedures for teachers. the bill passed.

Now I continue to help others and hope to establish my foundation soon.

We must look upwards and clean our hearts from the deep hurts which sometimes linger too long and keep us from becoming all that we were meant to be….. let go! It is not easy, but God’s time is always best for me.

I blame our educational system, our inept current government and the Three Stooges. Do I need to name them?

Thanks for letting me share my experiences. Forgive me if I bored you.

Thank you, Polski, your comment is well taken that some of these comments are ,”ridiculous”. No distinct explanation was given which comments you refer to, however, you fail to see that inimate passion involves your whole being when it comes to sexual pleasure, God’s gift to us in intimacy takes more than its pleasure; sharing responsibly and more.

Share openly and deeply in conversation with your beloved and that includes the fear of survival, anger in your heart, mutual understanding when both (lovers), feel hurt by the outside world that is not functioning responsibly. There should be passion to say, “Where can we find help to overcome the financial distress we are in?”. Simple question? Yes, but not an easy answer. Very often we will find it in ourselves by the way we brought it into being.

Shifting our thinking into another realm takes time, desire and amibition to make a big difference in our way of thinking about our lives and the responsibility to protect our precious freedoms on living, enjoying life, (intimacy included), raising our children, helping others unselfishly, and making sure we are not going to become foolish, ignorant, citizens when we vote! I have never found many blessings by having been ignorant. Keeping well informed takes time and often money…local news, history books, financial magazines, and the WALL STREET JOURNAL, which is not only about money but many other topics of interest, including reporting the CEO’s who gained huge bonuses upon leaving their mess behind, some whose companies received trillions of dollars, GE, and politicians like Barney Frank and Senator Dodd. Have you protested on this issue?. Some ex-CEO’s now work for Obama as advisors. Does that make us, “ridiculous” by knowing it and speaking out?

You are wise to be reading Personal Liberty Digest. It makes me proud of you inquisitiveness and expressive open opinions. Keep reading and continue to be informed on all issues including the “ridiculous”. News Max is a good beginning so is Fox news, especially its Financial News. Invite others to join you into learning about the,”ridculous”.

We’re common sense people seeking solutions to some very serious issues confronting our country; not only in economics but education, internal terrorists, illegals, and drug Cartels and more. FAIR, FOR AMERICAN IMMIGRATION REFORM, predicted all of this thirty years ago!. Did we have elected officials concerned about these issues when it was happening? I would love to hear your answer.

I hope you have a broader view of what is happening now because time s runing out fast and furiously.

Blessings to you on your venture to explore the truth about our messy politics and direction our country is taking.

As men age, it’s vital to monitor your hormone levels (especially testosterone). If your MD is a GP (general practitioner), and tells you that testosterone is not vital, go to a specialist.
Low testosterone levels open the door for many problems, not the least of which is a low sex drive and circulatory problems. Educate yourselves, and look at your health as a total package. An MD who thinks hormones are not important needs to go back to medical school and (this time) stay awake in class. Here’s to your good health.

      sc,
If you truly have circulation problems, you will most definately have, to put it politely “stand-up” problems. If you get my drift!!

SOOO…Obama is now agreeing to make a compromise maintaing the tax cuts! Ha! He is running again. Look out for wolves in sheep clothing in the white House, congress and the senate.

Suggestion: All elected politicians who have become millionairs take a fifty percent cut in salary. Start balancing the budget NOW with the money they have taken from us AND ENJOY LIVING OFF THEIR EARNINGS!

This will help them get accustomed to living like commonfolks and establish limited terms in office. This will give others, who are not millionairs, get elected, be on short terms and retire as millionairs. Just think, they would have to live with their own laws when they leave after their turn comes up. No special privilleges after upon their departure and that should include the same for Presidents, know of a middle class ex-ePresident? Jimmy Carter has lived a long time,God bless him, his lack of not knowing ancient history of Israel and Palastine has cost us humiliation and therefore should pay for his protection; and sometimes I wonder if he loves America. They should take an oath when leaving that they will speak favorably in other foreign lands about our country who made them millionairs; they were elected to serve, not to live on the public dole upon leaving office. If I am correct, President George Bush did not take a salary. Gosh, how much money did he save us? Anyone care to answer? In addition, President Bill Clinton and Hillary, should be able to live just by getting paid for managing their $123,000,000 Foundation. He needs to go back to work so he can have and pay for his own private plane, protection, office, medical care and whatever freebees he is entitled to have.

Folks, stop complaining if you don’t have money to pay your bills. Get informed and insist on CHANGE NOW . Let’s start with the newly elected Congress and by 20-ll, we might just see real CHANGE and in 20-12 , we vote the greedy politicians out. I have no pity for tham regardless of party. The mess we are in is, “grave”, and I am not about to go dig mine.
