Report: ACORN To Continue Operations Under Allied Organizations

April 7, 2010 by

Report: ACORN to continue operations under allied organizations Just days after officially closing their doors in the face of stern criticism and overwhelming financial concerns, officials with Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now (ACORN) plan to release a letter this week stating that the controversial anti-poverty group is alive and well.

"You will continue to hear from ACORN—in the mail, on the web and in the media," says the letter, which was provided to The New York Times. "And we need your continued support to counter the vicious antifamily, anti-minority, anti-immigrant attacks of the Republican right."

The message, which will be emailed out to more than 120,000 members of the organization, states that 16 new allied organizations have already been formed around the country and employees of the now defunct nonprofit group will continue to fight for healthcare reform, affordable housing and immigration reform.

The news of ACORN’s resurgence comes to no surprise to Republicans, who have insisted over the last few weeks that the decision to shut down operations was a scheme to evade its deteriorating reputation and receive taxpayer money, Fox News reports.

Representative Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) concluded that "ACORN is attempting to rebrand itself without instituting real reforms or removing senior leadership figures that need to be held accountable for wrongdoing."

Senior ACORN leadership and those caught in mortgage fraud scams need to be criminally investigated and charged with crimes against the American people. These left-wing subversives need to be charged with treason and sedition for stealing taxpayers’ monies for communistic schemes that undermine the United States and where it’s funding goes. Groups like ACORN and MOVEON.ORG are a threat to national security since they espouse communist ideology and steal taxpayer funding, in violation of RICO and extortion laws, to accomplish their subversive agendas.

    • Raggs

Thats a good idea however obama is in full support of ACORN and thier marxist agenda… The only way to remove them and throw them under the jail where they belong will be to also remove obama and 80% of the democrats.

Good points made. Does anyone here really know what is going on?
Has anyone read UN AGENDA 21?…OR USAF OWNING THE WEATHER 2025?
Or What is in the HC BILL? Anyone asking questions of substance?…and researching to find the answers? Educate yourself, and go to CPUSA or UK or Argentina for predictions of your future.
Anti-Communitarian League is pretty good too, if you have the courage?

If you want a perfect example of stupidity, ignorance and bias go to Yahoo News and read the comments pages. It’s scary to see how many children and young people believe all that is going on here is good.

      Bruce Eden:

There are two things that are clear from your initial post, being First, you have an intense hatred for Acorn and Moveon and Second,
you don’t know what you are talking about.

You make a number of acusations, now put up some facts to back up what you said or be quiet for a while and take some time to learn the truth instead of just listening to and repeating the lies that you get from the likes of Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, Savage and Fox News.

      TELL US:

      1. Since you say Acorn people are not being prosecuted, name a specific instance where anyone has accused Acorn, Moveon or the anyone connected with them of criminal activity where a prosecutor has failed or refused to investigate the matter and file charges if it appears a crime was committed?

      2. Exactly what communistic schemes that Acorn was engaged in.

      3. Exactly what communistic schemes that Acorn stole taxpayers’ money for.

      4. What communistic ideology that Acorn and Moveon espoused.

      5. What are/were Acorn and Moveon’s subversive agendas.

      6. How did Acorn and Moveon steal taxpayer funds.

      7. What mortgage fraud schemes was Acorn involved in.

      8. Exactly what did Acorn and Moveon do that violated the RICO (racketeering) and extortion laws.

      9. What kind of things did Acorn and what does Moveon actually do.

Acorn became a target of Republicans/conseratives because it registered a lot of voters whom Republicans/conservatives feared would vote for Democratic canidates. Every complaint agains Acorn that I am aware of about so called “voter fraud” were allegations of Acorn turning in voter registration forms that were fraudulent i.e. a registartion card for “Mickey Mouse”.

Acorn hired people to go out and get people to register to vote. A few of those people made up false registration forms and turned them into Acorn, Acorn reviewed all the registration forms and separated out the ones that appeared to be fraudulent. In the States that required all registration forms to be turned into the State, Acorn would sumbit the forms in two groups, one that appeared on the face to be okay and another that didn’t appear to be okay. The States were notified at the time the forms that didn’t appear to be okay were submitted that those registrations appeared to be fraudulent. The workers who gathered the registrations that appeared to be fraudulent were fired and their names turned into the States for prosecution.

Compare what Acorn did to what some Republican operatives who did voter registration drives in several western states in 2003-4 did. The Republicans through away any registration form on which a person marked their desire to register as a Democrat even though it was a crime under State laws not to turn in ever single registration form they gathered. By the way none of the Republican operatives were investigated or prosecuted.

Who ripped people, including the taxpayers, off were unscrupulous mortgage companies, bankers and Wall Streeters. Acorn, to mainly help poor people, got a few million dollars in grants from the government over a number of years. The unscrupulous business people ripped us off for more than a trillion dollars in less than 7 years.

Why is it that the Limbaughs, Becks, Hannitys, Savages and Fox News of the world constantly rail against Acorn, Moveon, progressives, Democrats and Obama blaming them for everything and trying to stur you up while saying little to nothing about unscrupulous business people that did this to us and our Country and polticians (the vast majority of whom are Republican/conservatives)who did the binding for the business people who ripped us off? Could it be that they all make their multi millions of dollars a year by doing the bidding of big business?

      • JeffH

Maybe, just maybe it the fact that they are Soros organizations and leftist liberal think tanks that promote and finance this attempted socialist takeover of America. Those are verifiable facts!

      • Meteorlady

ACORN is on tape telling people how to commit fraud. elCentro used to have the communist manifesto on their tables in the reception area. Their leader in Seattle used to wear a kaki shirt with a red scarf around his neck. He carried the communist manifesto with him. I have seen this and saw him and his organization in action. They get government funds. ACORN is a communist leaning organization and they are backed by Soros and the New World Order crew. Soros makes his money by betting against our currency for one thing – so he in essence pushes candidates that will enforce his agenda so that he can make more money. I would think, since Soros is a citizen of this country, he would want the best for it, but he continually bets against it. He doesn’t care about social reform, he cares about winning the game and having control.

        • JeffH

Soros is a citizen because America is the only country that still provides the freedom for him to run the guantlet and not go to jail.
He’s old and probably won’t be around too much longer, but you can bet he’s set everything up to function, as is, without him…just like Saul Alinsky.

      • sherrie

Do You live under a rock? Maybe if you listen to Beck he will teach you the history of our Constitution, presidents of the past and show you with video’s taken from the horses mouths that encourage socialist and communist values! The phone never rang to call him on any lies so must be it is all truths..truths you and those like you who haven’t a clue as to what is really going on! Wake up you haven’t a clue! I bet you watch Alan Colmes, msnbc,if anything or nothing at all. OH AND DO YOU SEE YOU ARE THE MINORITY ON HERE? I WONDER WHY? No news is good news in the world of the likes of you.

      • liberty4all

Let’s see. Voter fraud. Ties to the New Party which is yet another name for the Socialist Democratic Party (Marxists), Works for the Democratic Party, Cloward Piven strategy used to bring down banking system by lowering standards for credit, Bertha admits she’s a Marxist, fraud in Democratic caucus, radical Marxist formed SEIU and ACORN in order to use Marxism through the back door to take down America through Cloward Piven and Alinsky methods, uses the poor and disadvantaged for the ends justify the means, anti-capitalist, anti-American.
If I really spent some time, my comment here is only the tip of the iceberg.

    God’s peace
    In God We Trust

Barack Obama is the best thing that has happened to America in the last 100 years. Truly, he is the savior of America’s future. He is the best thing ever.

Despite the fact that he has some of the lowest approval ratings among recent presidents, history will see Barack Obama as the source of America’s resurrection. Barack Obama has plunged the country into levels of debt that we could not have previously imagined; his efforts to nationalize health care have been met with fierce resistance nationwide; TARP bailouts and stimulus spending have shown little positive effect on the national economy; unemployment is unacceptably high and looks to remain that way for most of a decade; legacy entitlement programs have ballooned to unsustainable levels, and there is a seething anger in the populace.

That’s why Barack Obama is such a good thing for America.

Obama is the symbol of a creeping liberalism that has infected our society like a cancer for the last 100 years. Just as Hitler is the face of fascism, Obama will go down in history as the face of unchecked liberalism. The cancer metastasized to the point where it could no longer be ignored.

Average Americans who have quietly gone about their lives, earning a paycheck, contributing to their favorite charities, going to high school football games on Friday night, spending their weekends at the beach or on hunting trips — they’ve gotten off the fence. They’ve woken up. There is a level of political activism in this country that we haven’t seen since the American Revolution, and Barack Obama has been the catalyst that has sparked a restructuring of the American political and social consciousness.

Think of the crap we’ve slowly learned to tolerate over the past 50 years as liberalism sought to re-structure the America that was the symbol of freedom and liberty to all the people of the world. Immigration laws were ignored on the basis of compassion. Welfare policies encouraged irresponsibility, the fracturing of families, and a cycle of generations of dependency. Debt was regarded as a tonic to lubricate the economy. Our children left school having been taught that they are exceptional and special, while great numbers of them cannot perform basic functions of mathematics and literacy. Legislators decided that people could not be trusted to defend their own homes, and stripped citizens of their rights to own firearms. Productive members of society have been penalized with a heavy burden of taxes in order to support legions of do-nothings who loll around, reveling in their addictions, obesity, indolence, ignorance and “disabilities.” Criminals have been arrested and re-arrested, coddled and set free to pillage the citizenry yet again. Lawyers routinely extort fortunes from doctors, contractors and business people with dubious torts.

We slowly learned to tolerate these outrages, shaking our heads in disbelief, and we went on with our lives.

But Barack Obama has ripped the lid off a seething cauldron of dissatisfaction and unrest.

In the time of Barack Obama, Black Panther members stand outside polling places in black commando uniforms, slapping truncheons into their palms. ACORN — a taxpayer-supported organization — is given a role in taking the census, even after its members were caught on tape offering advice to set up child prostitution rings. A former Communist is given a paid government position in the White House as an advisor to the president. Auto companies are taken over by the government, and the auto workers’ union — whose contracts are completely insupportable in any economic sense — is rewarded with a stake in the company. Government bails out Wall Street investment bankers and insurance companies, who pay their executives outrageous bonuses as thanks for the public support. Terrorists are read their Miranda rights and given free lawyers. And, despite overwhelming public disapproval, Barack Obama has pushed forward with a health care plan that would re-structure one-sixth of the American economy.

I don’t know about you, but the other day I was at the courthouse doing some business, and I stepped into the court clerk’s office and changed my voter affiliation from “Independent” to “Republican.” I am under no illusion that the Republican party is perfect, but at least they’re starting to awaken to the fact that we cannot sustain massive levels of debt; we cannot afford to hand out billions of dollars in corporate subsidies; we have to somehow trim our massive entitlement programs; we can no longer be the world’s policeman and dole out billions in aid to countries whose citizens seek to harm us.

Literally millions of Americans have had enough. They’re organizing, they’re studying the Constitution and the Federalist Papers, they’re reading history and case law, they’re showing up at rallies and meetings, and a slew of conservative candidates are throwing their hats into the ring. Is there a revolution brewing? Yes, in the sense that there is a keen awareness that our priorities and sensibilities must be radically re-structured. Will it be a violent revolution? No. It will be done through the interpretation of the original document that has guided us for 220 years — the Constitution. Just as the pendulum swung to embrace political correctness and liberalism, there will be a backlash, a complete repudiation of a hundred years of nonsense. A hundred years from now, history will perceive the year 2010 as the time when America got back on the right track. And for that, we can thank Barack Hussein Obama.

“You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.” ~~~~ Dr. Adrian Rogers, 1931

      James A Graham,
You make many valid points and I concur on the majority of them. The one I disagree with is the Republican party is any more less big government than the democrats or anymore less corrupt. Look at the RNC chairman in todays news. Newt Gingrich says that Steele is a good man. His is not by the reports I read in the Conservative media. Sarah Palin stumps for McCain in Arizona the same man that proposes amesty for all illegal (lawbreakers) immigrants. The Repulican leadership doesn’t listen to the American people anymore then the Democrats, nor do they support you excellent points with action although they do with words only.

time for all the good little followers to drink your kool-aid!

    • hirider

I think you did the right thing to choose to become Republican. Too many liberal people say that “There’s not a dime’s woth of difference between the two parties.” I disagree with that and will explain why. I have worked with hundreds of Republicans over the last nearly thirty years, and I find them to be more politically and morally sound than the liberal Democrats that I’ve met in that time. By this statement, I mean that the Republicans at the grassroots level are more moral than the Democrats. To prove it, how many Republicans are still in office after being acused of corruption in any form? None! When a Republican is found to have done something wrong, he’s hounded by the liberals and the main stream media and told to resign. Even those voters and politicians in the Republican Party ask him to make a clean exit so that the process can move on.
On the other hand, How many Democrats have done something wrong, but continues to stay in office? There are many, but just to name a few, there is Barney Frank, who was running a queer house of prostitution from his apartment. Bernie Sanders was caught fudging on the amount of taxes he must pay to the IRS, by not disclosing all his income from rental properties he owns. Chris Dodd got a sweetheart deal on mortgage loans fron now defunct Nationwide. All these liberals are still supported by their local constituents on election day, as well as having the support of the liberal politicians who work with them every day to make laws and policies that continue to enrich themselves and their cohorts. The Republican grassroots will vote out those Republicans who bring shame to the party, but the Democrats keep re-electing their shamed politicians again and again.

    • Meteorlady

Hey James – when was the last time you went out into your community and helped with anything? Volunteered for something? I work in my community of MY OWN FREE WILL and help people that need a hand up. These people don’t want government assistance, they want a life free of government and a little help to get there. You rail about social injustice but never once do you rail about the government redistributing my wealth to drug dealers, alcoholics, drug addicts, people able to work, but won’t, people that continually have more children then they can afford and people who scam the welfare, VA and other anti-proverty systems for money. That is what I call social injustice, not having my money go to organizations like ACORN or el Centro, etc. I want to have the freedom to redistribute MY WEALTH in a manner I see fit, not the government’s version of anti-proverty programs. Since the inception of the anti-poverty program there has been a 20% increase per capita of people at the poverty level. Well working program ah?

  • George M.

You’re right Bruce but also don’t forget this an organization that is also backed by the Democratic party! And especially by the guy in the White House “insane hussein”!! He use to work for this organization thats where he learned so many of his scheming and lying skills!!! You also have to wonder what type of people are the democrats if they are willing to back and fund an organizition like this!!!

    From: S STEELE

As a widow of a military retiree, who stood with her husband for over 20 years while he served this country (which was the greatest in the world until this Congress and President took over), I have to say I agree. Shirley

As a retired military man that have given over twenty-seven years of my life to my country, I truly feel that what this
Country needs most is a new amendment to the Constitution . I am recommending that we add the 28th amendment to the Constitution of the UNITED STATES.

For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that Congress members could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they didn’t pay into Social Security, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that is being considered…in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn’t seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don’t care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.

This is a good way to do that. It is an idea whose time has come.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution:

“Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Congressman, Senators and Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Congressman. Senators and Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States”.

This 28th amendment to the Constitution of the UNITED STATES Will apply to all passed, present and future
    Congressman, Senators And Representatives.
Just think of all the money this would save the tax payers!!!!!

I think the Senators, Representatives or Congressman that comes out strongly for this will be our next President.

HTCM USN Retired James A. Graham E-Mail address is ( ) Please forward !!!!!!!

    • Meteorlady

You really need to quit posting this -it’s untrue. Congress does not retire at their full wage and they pay 6.2% of their salary into Social Security. They pay another 1.8% of their salary up to around $108,000 into a government retirement fund. After they reach the $108,000 threshold they can contribute 8%. That is their money, just like when we put money into 401K plans. They are eligible for a portion after five years of service and reaching age 62. The others must work 20 years and be age 50 or something like that. The average pension for the older government program is about 5 $62,000 per year. The average pension for the newer retirement program (which everyone after 1982 pays into) is around $37,000 per year.

      • s c

M, WHY should anyone in Congress be entitled to a pension? It’s one thing to have the best healthcare in America while you’re in office. It’s something else to have access to people who come armed wth suitcases full of cash so they can be your ‘friend.’
It’s yet another matter to have 24/7 access to the media. Congress is – whether you admit it or not – a country club for self-centered, overpaid abusers, manipulators, career criminals and many
forms of sub-human degenerates. Damned few of them do anything positive for America (and most of them died long before you and I were born).
I ask you again, M. WHY should anyone in Congress be entitled to a pension? At what point do you get tired of being under the thumbs of those who can’t read or understand the legislation they pass? At what point do you get tired of being an indentured servant to VERMIN?

        • http://?? Joe H.

          s c,
I read in my father in laws DAV magazine today that a few years back congress and the house voted themselves a manditory yearly raise while the medicare and VA disability COLA is figured by a formula directly connected to the economy!!! now I think a law should be written that says that if the medicare and VA disability gets no cola on fixed income then they should not EITHER!!! If they get an automatic raise, where is the incentive to better the economy???

        • Meteorlady

Why would anyone be entitled to SS or a pension from their employer? Because they paid into it with their own money. Just because you believe what you have read doesn’t make it true. They pay into their pension plans, they get money back when they retire. Their plan basically is just like the UAW or any employer plan in the US today.

Don’t get me wrong, there is plenty wrong with our government and I would like to see most of them gone, but stating half-truths is not conducive to good sense and the garnering of knowledge.

  • James A Graham

    From: Edward Goelz

Some people got a Raise, I DID Not …

I will send this out every month until election time, just as a reminder. If everyone remembers, we can make a difference.

Your U.S. House & Senate have voted themselves $4,700

    and $5,300 raises.

    1. They voted to not give you a S.S. cost of living raise in
    2010 and 2011.

    2. Your Medicare premiums will go up $285.60 for the 2-years and you will not get the 3% COLA: $660/yr. Your total 2-yr loss and cost is -$1,600 or -$3,200 for husband and wife

    3. Over 2-yrs The House & Senate each get $10,000 raises

    4. Do you feel SCREWED?

    5. WILL your cost of drugs – doctor fees – local taxes – food, etc., increase? You better believe they will!

. They have a raise and better benefits. Why care about you? You never did anything about it in the past.
You’re obviously too stupid or don’t care. No offense; just making a point!

    6. Do you really think that Nancy, Harry, Chris, Charlie, Barnie, et al, care about you?

It is ok to forward this to your sphere of influence if you are finally tired of the abuse.
    Maybe it’s time for the……..

    Amendment 28
“Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United
States that does not apply equally to the Senators or Representatives,
and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators or
Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the
    United States .”

Let’s get this passed around, folks – these people in Washington have brought this upon themselves!!! It’s time for retribution. Let’s take back America.
If you don’t forward this to all your friends you’re just part of the problem of national apathy.

James, everyhting you said in youre remarks were dead on correct! I couldn’t have said it better! Youre right we have to fight back and reclaim our country for today and tomorrow, for our children and our grand children!!! And we have to fight this lying liberlism it will only destroy our families and our country with false compassion and liberal lies!! And youre right we’ve all just gone about our way living our lives thinking things will get better or eventually change back but insane hussien has awaken us because we see him as the nail in the coffin that’s trying to seal the deal on our liberal demise!!! I think alot of people who were once mesmerized by this false messiah have finally seen what this guy is really all about!!! Theyre starting to see past his double talk and seeing him talk out of both sides of his mouth!! Remember like the great Dennis Prager says “those who are kind to the cruel are eventually cruel to the kind” that’s all this guy in the white house is all about!! He and the democrats are intent on destroying this country!!!

Am I surprise that ACORN changed their name and spread out? Not. They were getting bad publicity and donations were down so follow the example of corporate America (AIG changed it’s insurance branch’s name to 20th Century Insurance) and change your name and set up to do business the same way in another place. These people are bad for this country and I resent that ANY of my tax dollars went to them in the form of grants. They, and other organizations like them, are anti-America and should be classified the same at the skin heads – they preach hate, are racist, and their dealings are questionable. Most of all the preach and support communism just as el Raza does.

Great article, Jeff! We will be on the lookout for these vermin no matter what they call themselves. The dimwitted democrats sure know how to engage in double speak. They call the Tea Party racists with no video evidence whatsover. In actuality, the dumbocrats are the real racists. An article in the local paper today talks about threats and name-calling by the dems of several Black Tea Partiers, who are being labeled “Uncle Toms” and “Oreos”.

I do believe that we have them pretty well figured out at this juncture. Nothing they say is creditable anymore, just the same rhetoric over and over. The only reason they engage here at all is to disrupt and try to upset whomever they can. I play the game when I’m bored and need a little self entertainment. Nothing better than getting their goat, upsetting them and taking their game away.

Just leave an AYN RAND quote, they start going ballistic!

          • libertytrain

JeffH – take the time to read Atlas Shrugged and you’ll understand why they become ballistic —-

          • JeffH

Thanks libertytrain, I’ll check the local library for it.

          • libertytrain

JeffH – you may want to buy it – it’s extremely long and small print – or look for a video recording -

          • JeffH

            libertytrain, TY

          • JeffH

libertytrain, I’ve been told to also read Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal. It is my understanding that there is some very comparable and chilling parallels to the threats against Capitalism that are happening today.

That and Atlas Shrugged have been suggested reading for the local Tea Party group.

          • libertytrain

I’ve only read Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead – so can’t give an opinion – I see her as big on self-reliance and pride in one’s work (among other things of course) – Call me old-fashioned, but I like her work – whether she has been “disproven” by some – she is still heralded by others – hey, you can find whatever viewpoint you want to follow on the Internet by any number of “qualified/intelligent” people – so I guess those that follow the “disproven” had found someone to validate that it’s ok to do what they are doing to this country and keep looking for that free ride.

          • JeffH

libertytrain, in most ways I long for the yesterdays. Life was so much simpler then. I don’t really care that the libbys despise Rand, I find that a lot of the quotes I have seen are very fitting and make sense in todays world. I will read some of her work and I’ll know very quickly if it can keep my attention. Either way, good reading is just that, good reading, real or not.

          • libertytrain

JeffH – I agree – I kind of liked the good old days before things got rotten – though I suppose to some the good old days never were.

          • JeffH

True, if one hasn’t enjoyed the experience how would they know.

      • Meteorlady

California is a perfect place for them. All those “poor” people and legal and illegal immigrants will love them. That will certainly help California get out of debt.

        • JeffH

Meteorlady, after the elections, we’ll see if there is any hope left for survival in California. I hope so, but am weighing my exit options daily.

Say what you want at your own peril. There are plants taunting you and me into Revolutionary War II in the USA. Arm yourself with knowledge. There are NO differences between parties! and only a few Pawns of the Puppet Masters are actually SANE.

Senators and Representatives get Cola’s or 3% raises , which every is greaters. Also they are able to contribute more into their SS fund to be paid out after getting out of office. This is from a senator’s copy of guideline for retirement. Our senator who has served almost 24 years, I called his office and asked about his retirement pensions and how far I was off, from estimating a pension of over $600,000 a year, plus free health care for him and his wife, if I was way off. The written letter I received ,stated that he had invested very wisely and did not need to tell me how much he would get. Plus at the minium of $50,000 speaking fees, they live pretty high on the hog. If they return at a later date they resume their pay and senority, that is why they love to serve on planning and think tank positions for Congress and/ or president. All of them should be given a cut in pay when our money devalues and everytime unemployment drops a point. Cut President’s money also and their staffs, and retard the flying all over, and vacations every few months, for him and his friends and family, when every our country is hemoraging money.

    • Meteorlady

They contribute 6.2% of their salary, up to $108,000 into SS. That’s the same as you and I. They contribute 1.8% of their salary into the government retirement fund up to $108,000 and then they can contribute 8% – there are two and one is older and knew government people cannot belong to it anymore. If you read my above post you will see what is actually paid out of those retirement accounts. That applies to ALL government workers, not just congressional representatives.

I’m not defending, just putting forth facts. I once was a government employee and I know about the pension fund and medical benefits. They are nothing more than what private industry or some state governments give their employees.

If ACORN is a true antipoverty group, I’m a weekend guru, a NASA scientist, a Leonardo rival and America’s answer to rotten politicians. Betcha $10 that NO ONE in ACORN ever did anything to get people away from poverty.
ACORN probably worked hard at getting people on food stamps (whether they need them or not – by the way, is ANYONE in Washington trying to ELIMINATE FOOD STAMP FRAUD?). Anyone that won’t understand why not thinking twice about advising people to pimp children or evade taxes is a group that needs to be singled out and summarily DESTROYED.
So how is it that so many “caring” people swear that ACORN is the best thing to come along since sliced bread or toilets? The short, simple answer is that anybody who has a use for ACORN is a retard by choice, and has surrendered to the stupidity that so fittingly defines Washington.

A lot of very interesting commentary. It appears that there are quite a few people who believe the government has slowly lost purpose through a slow erosion of the constitution. The simple has been made complex as happens with all of the best laid plans. The paper darts the liberals throw are juvenile celebration of the expanded entitlements they need. Reduce or eliminate the entitlements and watch the addicts withdrawal. Liberals cry like fat babies when the milk runs out.

It is tempting to dwell in dark imaginings and believe that the problems is so complex that there is no fix. It is also tempting to sit back, let go, and let God. I think of the hardships of our forbears and can only feel that they too faced the same thoughts. They endeavored to persevere; however, and in retrospect the choices we face seem to pale in comparison. We have a means of organizing more effectively than the pony express. We don’t need Paul Revere to carry oil lamps through the countryside. We have the support of each other and can rest assured in the knowledge that there are many who know their history and accept the responsibility of being an American. The responsibility to remain diligent against the enemies of our free land earned through sacrifice of self, soul, and blood.

Enough. To all of you who agree don’t waste another minute gathering courage or resolve. If you take in all points of view your commitment to real change will be watered down and stirred into the gelatin waiting to mold. Take unified action. Use the Tea Party to launch the CONSTITUTION PARTY. Become active in your local Tea Party. Demand political candidates carry the Constitution as their platform. Make them understand that they represent the people in a new revolution for reform. It is the strongest option we have now to make a unified effort. If this drive becomes marginalized and splintered, then the chances of enacting significant change to preserve our freedom diminishes exponentially. The change toward wresting our freedoms away is already increasing in magnitude and direction.

    • Meteorlady

We already have a Constitution party, we have a Libertarian party, in fact I stopped counting the parties after 24. We even had the Marijuana party – guess what their platform is? Fact is, the mainstream news media will NOT publicize or promote any other party but the two party system. They are controlled by the very people we talk about – special interests. They promote ideals that their owners promote and pay for. This will not change.

However, we do have a great medium for change – the internet. We can bi-pass the media and promote any candidate we choose. Wouldn’t that just make them sit up and take notice. Or, if we disagree with their points of view or their biased reporting, we can write their sponsors and tell them we disagree with their support. We do have lots of power, we just haven’t organized enough to use it.

      • Joel Johnston

Thanks Meteorlady. You are right about the multitude of parties. I think if we rely on the “Blog” to organize then the party will be like a bowl of jello; full of ideas but lacking solidarity in form. There is a good way to channel the energy here and I believe the Tea Party is the best platform for it. The media coverage has already identified it as the challenger. We need to organize very soon or the powers to be will make this voice sound like a breeze.
